- 0:45Speaker 5: Welcome inn Off the Bench live right here, Raising Kine Studio.
- 0:53Speaker 5: That's right, it was so good yesterday we decided to
- 0:56Speaker 5: running back by ourselves, Tripod Mountain up once again as
- 1:01Speaker 5: mister Jacob Hester is going to be joining us in
- 1:04Speaker 5: a couple of segments taking care of the family business.
- 1:09Speaker 5: It's uh, it's that time of the year, guys. It's
- 1:13Speaker 5: that time of the year. People going down left and right.
- 1:17Speaker 5: Things spreading through the schools, kids bringing it home, sicknesses everywhere.
- 1:24Speaker 6: How are we doing though?
- 1:26Speaker 7: I feel great? WHOA, that didn't sound like that's feel great.
- 1:29Speaker 4: I don't believe you.
- 1:30Speaker 7: Yeah, I feel I feel great. I think the I
- 1:34Speaker 7: don't know. I haven't talked like all morning.
- 1:37Speaker 6: You did come in a little quiet, little quiet, Yeah.
- 1:39Speaker 7: No, but I'm good. I just was not into it
- 1:43Speaker 7: at first. But we're good.
- 1:44Speaker 8: We're the show started, and then everything the vibes are
- 1:47Speaker 8: up now are up?
- 1:48Speaker 7: Yeah? I got up too early this morning?
- 1:50Speaker 6: You got up too early?
- 1:51Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:51Speaker 6: What does that mean? You're like an early rise of
- 1:54Speaker 6: thy thought.
- 1:55Speaker 8: About like and I went this morning, but I got
- 1:58Speaker 8: up at like three point thirty and I couldn't go
- 1:59Speaker 8: back to sleep no matter how hard I tried.
- 2:02Speaker 6: So that sucks.
- 2:04Speaker 4: I know, got a count sheep that never works for me.
- 2:09Speaker 7: I've tried that. It never works for me.
- 2:11Speaker 6: Does that?
- 2:12Speaker 4: Does that work for anybody? I don't even know what
- 2:15Speaker 4: that means?
- 2:17Speaker 7: You count?
- 2:18Speaker 6: Yeah, it's supposed to be jumping over a fence on
- 2:20Speaker 6: your head.
- 2:21Speaker 7: Yeah, just visualize them.
- 2:23Speaker 6: All, thought bubble. Yeah, oh no. We had some issues
- 2:28Speaker 6: with our so so there's issues with our house alarm.
- 2:31Speaker 5: So we've had issues like like a battery like runs
- 2:34Speaker 5: down in one of the sensors or something, and it
- 2:36Speaker 5: never happens during the day. It always happens like at
- 2:38Speaker 5: two in the morning, and of course the alarm starts
- 2:41Speaker 5: like everybody start all.
- 2:43Speaker 6: My wive's like, can you go check the house? Like
- 2:45Speaker 6: what's going on?
- 2:46Speaker 5: I'm like, well, apparently there's just a low battery one
- 2:50Speaker 5: of them little circle batteries.
- 2:51Speaker 6: That's it.
- 2:51Speaker 5: Yeah, messing up the whole night. Nobody can go back
- 2:54Speaker 5: to sleep. Kids waking up angry.
- 2:56Speaker 6: What's going on? Daddy?
- 2:57Speaker 8: What is it?
- 2:57Speaker 6: The fire alarm, like the burglar alarm, like the security alarm. Yeah,
- 3:02Speaker 6: on the fire alarm.
- 3:02Speaker 7: You're gonna want to replace those.
- 3:04Speaker 5: Yeah, so we had to get replaced yesterday. But like
- 3:06Speaker 5: I had to like bypass all these different I don't know.
- 3:09Speaker 5: That's annoying that things like that always seem to happen
- 3:12Speaker 5: when you're dead asleep, and it's gonna make like the
- 3:14Speaker 5: most commotion taking me off. Hey Taylor, hey man, how
- 3:20Speaker 5: you doing. I'm doing great.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Busy week this week, busy week next week as well,
- 3:25Speaker 4: Like we got a lot going on right now. But guys,
- 3:29Speaker 4: I feel it. I feel the Thanksgiving in the air.
- 3:32Speaker 4: Victoria was putting together like, hey, here's what we need
- 3:35Speaker 4: to get at the store, Like, this is what we're
- 3:37Speaker 4: bringing to the family Dinner's touch stuff. We were putting
- 3:39Speaker 4: that together last night. I can feel it. I can
- 3:42Speaker 4: smell the corn bread dressing.
- 3:46Speaker 5: I think now's like pretty we're pretty close to the
- 3:48Speaker 5: time where you got to start making that corn bread
- 3:50Speaker 5: and like letting it dry out on the countertop.
- 3:52Speaker 6: People still do that.
- 3:54Speaker 8: My grandma, your grandma does and then I used to
- 3:58Speaker 8: help her like crumble it all up.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Yeah, I do that with my dad and my dad
- 4:03Speaker 4: usually makes like a big tray and yeah, he would
- 4:05Speaker 4: crumble the corn bread.
- 4:07Speaker 5: I heard a lot of Thanksgiving hate a little bit
- 4:10Speaker 5: this year, really, yeah, talking about you know, the Pilgrims
- 4:12Speaker 5: and how it wasn't a big friendly meal that everybody portrays.
- 4:16Speaker 6: It as friendly.
- 4:17Speaker 4: At my house, it's.
- 4:18Speaker 5: Very friendleel you know, everybody as long as everybody's like
- 4:22Speaker 5: on the same side of the political side of things,
- 4:26Speaker 5: usually pretty.
- 4:26Speaker 4: No, isn't thought. I thought that was the top three
- 4:29Speaker 4: icebreaker topics. They always say icebreaker topics politics, religion.
- 4:34Speaker 5: Can you imagine the amount of next week, the amount
- 4:37Speaker 5: of around the Thanksgiving table Brian Kelly, Sue and Lsu talk,
- 4:42Speaker 5: there's going to be and like, well no, yo, Landry's great, now,
- 4:46Speaker 5: well why is he doing this? Blah blah blah. It's
- 4:48Speaker 5: gonna be like it's going to be state politics next
- 4:50Speaker 5: year or next week.
- 4:52Speaker 8: When when I went home back to Texas, what was
- 4:55Speaker 8: it last weekend? Yeah, my aunt so her husband went
- 4:58Speaker 8: to Texas A and M. And my aunt was like,
- 5:01Speaker 8: what is going on over there? And I was like,
- 5:03Speaker 8: I don't. I couldn't even tell you. Honestly, I couldn't
- 5:07Speaker 8: tell you. We're just a hot mess, hot ass.
- 5:10Speaker 4: Like if the people at Ella shoot don't know what's
- 5:12Speaker 4: going on, how am I right?
- 5:13Speaker 5: We're like that, like that a girl that walks in
- 5:15Speaker 5: a bar, like dressed the nines, looking great and she
- 5:18Speaker 5: comes out with like mascara running yeah, no shoes on,
- 5:23Speaker 5: ripped dress, like all that stuff.
- 5:25Speaker 7: We're a hot mess, harol undone.
- 5:27Speaker 8: Yeah, white girl wasted, La, She's white girl wasted.
- 5:30Speaker 6: Right now, somebody's gonna think she's attractive.
- 5:35Speaker 4: That right, there's always that one that's looking down from
- 5:39Speaker 4: the corner.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Of the bar.
- 5:40Speaker 7: Hang on, hang on now that feels creepy.
- 5:44Speaker 6: Someone's always like, I got some daddy issues. I'm ready.
- 5:48Speaker 4: I can fix her.
- 5:50Speaker 6: I can be the one to fix her. Put a
- 5:53Speaker 6: ring on it.
- 5:55Speaker 9: Uh.
- 5:55Speaker 5: I just hope they're good, you know what I'm almost
- 5:59Speaker 5: So we've we talked about it yesterday. I think everybody's
- 6:01Speaker 5: talking about it. It's kind of like dominating every LSU
- 6:05Speaker 5: sports topic.
- 6:06Speaker 6: But like, do we want to keep talking about it?
- 6:10Speaker 1: No?
- 6:11Speaker 6: We got the gist of it. Now we get the
- 6:13Speaker 6: gist of it as much as.
- 6:15Speaker 4: We're going to.
- 6:16Speaker 6: Hey, how was that timeline going?
- 6:17Speaker 7: So I finished it?
- 6:18Speaker 8: No you didn't, Yeah, but I want to. I want
- 6:20Speaker 8: to make it look good before I present it. The
- 6:23Speaker 8: timeline's done, it's on paper, it's on my notebook.
- 6:27Speaker 6: I love it. Nice work.
- 6:28Speaker 5: So we were talking yesterday about it's been such an
- 6:31Speaker 5: S show, yes, the last couple of weeks. Right, like,
- 6:34Speaker 5: let's document this like for real, let's how you've been
- 6:37Speaker 5: in an easily readable version, a nice little timeline. Now
- 6:41Speaker 5: you were kind of talking yesterday about going picking a
- 6:44Speaker 5: little bit deeper into that whole Brian Kelly, all of
- 6:48Speaker 5: it run.
- 6:48Speaker 8: Conception to like basically when he stepped foot on campus.
- 6:53Speaker 8: You could say it's when it started, Like I went
- 6:56Speaker 8: all the way back to twenty twenty one.
- 6:57Speaker 6: So we can put some graphics with this.
- 6:59Speaker 7: Yeah, I want to make a power.
- 7:01Speaker 8: Point point would be good, and just present it to
- 7:04Speaker 8: the class y'all know I love a rabbit hole.
- 7:08Speaker 6: So got that to look forward to. This week, we're
- 7:10Speaker 6: gonna do a little.
- 7:14Speaker 7: Yeah, oh man.
- 7:17Speaker 4: Save it from Monday. Will still be relevant then because
- 7:21Speaker 4: you're going to go to tomorrow.
- 7:23Speaker 5: Tomorrow Friday, that is true. Right tomorrow we will be
- 7:27Speaker 5: pro dream and Friday Friday it will be a rouses
- 7:30Speaker 5: because it's game week.
- 7:31Speaker 4: That actually is a good, good Monday topic.
- 7:33Speaker 6: Anyways, that's a great Monday topic.
- 7:37Speaker 7: It look really good.
- 7:45Speaker 5: Well, it is game week. We are one closer to
- 7:48Speaker 5: l s U versus Arkansas. Baby the boot baby L.
- 7:54Speaker 5: She doesn't even know where the boot is stored. Probably
- 7:57Speaker 5: so was it player interviews yesterday? There dust in it off?
- 8:00Speaker 5: Were they the white glove pulling?
- 8:02Speaker 4: They were pulling it out of the out of the
- 8:04Speaker 4: closet where like spare mouthpieces.
- 8:06Speaker 6: Go it was in there, held jock chap.
- 8:09Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 8:10Speaker 6: Uh, they used to carry that thing around with like
- 8:12Speaker 6: white glove.
- 8:13Speaker 5: We were like those gloves off bare hand, that thing.
- 8:17Speaker 4: Bare handed after the game.
- 8:19Speaker 6: Yeah, it's not that important.
- 8:21Speaker 8: Oh lordy, if it was the crystal ball, I could
- 8:26Speaker 8: like the crystal football that they used to understand.
- 8:29Speaker 6: Sure you got a white glove that we bring that back.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Crystal ball is such a good it's such a good triphy.
- 8:34Speaker 4: I don't like the college football playoff and now it's
- 8:36Speaker 4: just like it's a little sleek, a little slim ball
- 8:40Speaker 4: a little cylinder looking.
- 8:41Speaker 8: It's the same thing they do with everything. McDonald's has
- 8:43Speaker 8: no color to it anymore.
- 8:46Speaker 4: But the character chairs, yeah, the.
- 8:48Speaker 8: Taco bell no color. All the buildings around everywhere they are.
- 8:54Speaker 4: It's hard to find like a like a blue and
- 8:56Speaker 4: yellow Walmart anymore now too, those are all like gray.
- 9:00Speaker 7: Everything's great.
- 9:03Speaker 6: Where you were.
- 9:03Speaker 5: Growing up, did you, of course Waburger huge thing. Texas
- 9:07Speaker 5: were your waterburgers themed?
- 9:10Speaker 8: Yeah, so some of them were like the ones in
- 9:13Speaker 8: Corpus always had something because the first one ever was
- 9:17Speaker 8: in Corpus. But most of them were kind of generic.
- 9:21Speaker 8: But there were some that I would run into that
- 9:23Speaker 8: were themed.
- 9:24Speaker 5: Yeah, so all every single water burger was themed. There
- 9:27Speaker 5: was an Elvis one. There was a Dallas Cowboy one.
- 9:29Speaker 5: There was a hot Ride one. There was like, uh,
- 9:34Speaker 5: Marilyn Monroe, like, uh Maryland, who is who's a guy
- 9:38Speaker 5: that she Dean something? Margin Dean Martin was h she
- 9:44Speaker 5: was a JOm but it wasn't wasn't met him. It
- 9:46Speaker 5: was like the Dean Martin era, I guess. Yeah, so
- 9:50Speaker 5: they were all famed.
- 9:51Speaker 6: It was weird. So yeah, they've kind of taken away everything.
- 9:53Speaker 5: They've taken away the playgrounds place.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Growing up.
- 9:58Speaker 7: Oh yeah yeah, and the chairs to be the characters.
- 10:01Speaker 4: Remember you had the whatever the purple guy's name is,
- 10:04Speaker 4: You had the Hamburglar, Hamburglar.
- 10:06Speaker 6: Get all of them. It's great. What a world that was.
- 10:12Speaker 6: Mm hmm.
- 10:14Speaker 7: Everything went downhill.
- 10:17Speaker 8: When they started taking the colors out of McDonald's.
- 10:22Speaker 4: We do a hashtag put the color back in McDonald's.
- 10:24Speaker 4: They still do toys, though, but.
- 10:27Speaker 7: They're always like books or something. Kids don't want books.
- 10:30Speaker 5: No, McDonald's still does actual toys. Okay, Now there's a
- 10:34Speaker 5: lot of books out there. There's a lot of like
- 10:37Speaker 5: like little cardboard books. I gotta put together, like put
- 10:39Speaker 5: together like a little wooden hat or something. They don't yet.
- 10:42Speaker 5: They don't really want that chick Flake gives away like
- 10:45Speaker 5: educational things.
- 10:47Speaker 7: No thanks, give me brain rot.
- 10:51Speaker 5: They just want something that your parents can throw away
- 10:53Speaker 5: later about three hours later when they get tired of it.
- 10:57Speaker 5: All right, when we come back, what we're gonna do here,
- 11:01Speaker 5: We're gonna take break, then we're gonna come back. We're
- 11:03Speaker 5: gonna talk about the the new college football power rankings
- 11:07Speaker 5: for the playoffs, and take a look at a lot
- 11:10Speaker 5: of news out there swirling about a former coach here
- 11:15Speaker 5: jumping to the top of the leader board for odds
- 11:19Speaker 5: on favor to be the LSU next head coach. So
- 11:20Speaker 5: we'll look at all that, and we'll look at odds
- 11:22Speaker 5: on favorite for all the head coaches in college football,
- 11:24Speaker 5: all the openings around the country. There's a lot of them.
- 11:27Speaker 5: There's gonna be more, there's gonna be names swirling around.
- 11:30Speaker 5: So we'll take a look at all that right here
- 11:32Speaker 5: when we come.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Back off the bench.
- 11:37Speaker 5: All right, go to pelicanroof dot com. If you have
- 11:41Speaker 5: a project right now. We just you know, we've kind
- 11:45Speaker 5: of gotten passed. I don't know if it's official. Yeah,
- 11:47Speaker 5: we got in past hurricane season. We had a great
- 11:50Speaker 5: year for that avoided everything. But we're gonna get go
- 11:53Speaker 5: straight into winter. And if you have a project, if
- 11:55Speaker 5: you need to get your roof fixed, if you need
- 11:57Speaker 5: a brand new roof, whatever it is, give Pelican Roof

- 12:04Speaker 6: So what does that mean for you?
- 12:05Speaker 5: That means they're going to dedicate a project manager specifically
- 12:08Speaker 5: to your job to make sure that your job is
- 12:10Speaker 5: done the perfect way, the correct way. The Pelican way,
- 12:13Speaker 5: and they'll be there every single day to make sure
- 12:16Speaker 5: it's done right, it's done efficiently and done quickly. And
- 12:19Speaker 5: we know that it's a big, big purchase for you.
- 12:21Speaker 5: We know that that's a big job. It's a big
- 12:23Speaker 5: decision for you and your family financially. So go to

- 12:33Speaker 6: Roof or roof repair. Give them a caller, go see
- 12:35Speaker 6: the pelicanroof dot.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Com Tigers turn talkers. This is off the bench.
- 13:02Speaker 9: She I can't figure it out, all.
- 13:13Speaker 5: Right, welcome back in off the Bench here Wednesday morning.
- 13:17Speaker 5: Uh my, apologies on that first segment, we didn't have
- 13:20Speaker 5: our beautiful dog Cane, the Cane the third.
- 13:27Speaker 6: Good girl.
- 13:28Speaker 7: She's so cute.
- 13:29Speaker 1: She is.
- 13:31Speaker 5: Quiet though, she is really quiet, shy, sucks on radio,
- 13:36Speaker 5: awful great visual.
- 13:37Speaker 6: She just uh huh, you speak up a little bit
- 13:40Speaker 6: more laundry. We're getting crushed in the chat right now.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Would you just bark?
- 13:46Speaker 7: I was trying to bark.
- 13:50Speaker 5: We're getting crushed in the chat, sat Landry, Matt. This
- 13:52Speaker 5: isn't a show about Texas. You're in Louisiana, got it.
- 13:57Speaker 5: We were talking about colorful fast food restaurants. Yeah, Waterburgers
- 14:03Speaker 5: here boring though delicious, but boring.
- 14:06Speaker 7: The one on isn't the one I Bourbank kind of
- 14:09Speaker 7: like l s.
- 14:10Speaker 4: Huish though I don't know, never been inside. I've been,
- 14:14Speaker 4: I just haven't been.
- 14:15Speaker 7: Yeah, but I feel like I peeked in there.
- 14:17Speaker 5: And yeah, neither is Kane. The third though obviously du
- 14:25Speaker 5: still colorful. Yeah, I would say most.
- 14:28Speaker 7: Especially the original one. They have that tiger print what
- 14:32Speaker 7: is it the carpets tiger print? So there's tigerprints something
- 14:35Speaker 7: in there.
- 14:36Speaker 5: Well anyway, sorry people, Sorry for in the first segment
- 14:39Speaker 5: talking about random things.
- 14:43Speaker 4: We never do that.
- 14:44Speaker 5: Yeah, get better, get better fast food places agreed, put
- 14:50Speaker 5: more themed things and people like that. People like to
- 14:53Speaker 5: be entertained. Speaking of entertainment, Uh, Nick Saban, A lot
- 15:01Speaker 5: of rumors swirling around around about him. I actually have
- 15:04Speaker 5: a buddy that heard it from their hairdresser that he
- 15:07Speaker 5: was going to be the next head coach here.
- 15:08Speaker 8: So wait Nick Saban, Yeah, yeah, yeah, his hairdresser, hairdresser,
- 15:13Speaker 8: I buy it.
- 15:15Speaker 7: So hairdressers know everything.
- 15:17Speaker 5: I can tell you one thing being around town, just
- 15:19Speaker 5: like randomly just gas station, picking up some food, just
- 15:23Speaker 5: doing whatever.
- 15:24Speaker 6: There's a lot of experts out there.
- 15:26Speaker 5: There's a ton of people that know exactly what's going
- 15:28Speaker 5: on because they got a guy.
- 15:30Speaker 6: They got a guy that has.
- 15:31Speaker 5: A friend that has some sort of booster cousin, and
- 15:36Speaker 5: they got a guy and they know. And apparently this
- 15:39Speaker 5: hairdresser said Nick Saban's gonna be the next head coach.
- 15:42Speaker 4: The phrase I'm hearing has already burned out, and you're
- 15:46Speaker 4: gonna hear that phrase a lot. It's like I'm hearing no,
- 15:49Speaker 4: let me stop you there. No, you're not at this
- 15:51Speaker 4: point from whom with the crap show that's going on
- 15:55Speaker 4: down the street. Anybody who tells you they've heard something
- 15:58Speaker 4: probably hasn't heard anything. You can go ahead and cross.
- 16:00Speaker 6: Them off the list.
- 16:03Speaker 5: And no, it wasn't my hairdresser because I shaved my
- 16:05Speaker 5: own head.
- 16:06Speaker 6: It was a buddy's hairdresser.
- 16:08Speaker 5: So this is like, I mean, we're only six seven
- 16:11Speaker 5: people were moved from the start of the source, so
- 16:13Speaker 5: the start of the person that just made it up
- 16:15Speaker 5: both in here. That's that's kind of what we're doing. Yeah,
- 16:17Speaker 5: because nobody knows, nobody really, Yeah, there's probably a handful
- 16:22Speaker 5: of people. Now have they reached out to do I
- 16:25Speaker 5: believe they've reached out absolutely, because they should rich it,
- 16:28Speaker 5: reach out to everybody. Yeah, save's got, of course, a
- 16:32Speaker 5: lot of ties back to Louisiana. It's got friends here,
- 16:34Speaker 5: he's got business. I mean, there's there's a lot of things.
- 16:36Speaker 5: So what is surprising is a lot most of the
- 16:39Speaker 5: times where there's smoke, there's fire somewhere and there's a
- 16:44Speaker 5: good article Louisiana Sports dot Net. You can go check
- 16:46Speaker 5: it out about at least all the college head coaching vacancies,
- 16:51Speaker 5: the Vegas odds, and usually Vegas has their finger on
- 16:54Speaker 5: the pulse of most things. Saban as of yesterday, has
- 17:00Speaker 5: surpassed Joe Brady as the favorite to land the job
- 17:04Speaker 5: at LSU. For whatever that is worth. Take that with
- 17:06Speaker 5: a grain of salt. But at least from the betting standpoint,
- 17:10Speaker 5: which of course the people that make the lines, they
- 17:13Speaker 5: make the lines, but then it's controlled by who's betting
- 17:15Speaker 5: and all that good stuff. But the movement is pretty shocking,
- 17:20Speaker 5: and there has to be some validity to something out there,
- 17:26Speaker 5: and I don't know what that is because the line
- 17:28Speaker 5: went from if I'm reading this correctly, seventy five to one.
- 17:33Speaker 6: To two to one.
- 17:35Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a big jump.
- 17:36Speaker 6: It's a big jump. It's a big jump.
- 17:38Speaker 5: Even if it went from ten to one to two
- 17:40Speaker 5: to one. Now we're talking it's seventy five to one
- 17:43Speaker 5: to two to one. So there is clearly something there.
- 17:48Speaker 5: Whether it's just because it's going through the hairdresser rankings yeah,
- 17:54Speaker 5: or everybody's talking about it at the salon. I don't
- 17:58Speaker 5: know what it is, but it's there's something happening there,
- 18:01Speaker 5: and it's pretty wild to see.
- 18:03Speaker 6: Like, I don't.
- 18:05Speaker 5: Like if we were looking at a sport, right if
- 18:08Speaker 5: we were looking at a game and the team was
- 18:09Speaker 5: seventy five to one to win their division, then all
- 18:12Speaker 5: of a sudden it went to two to one, what
- 18:13Speaker 5: would happen?
- 18:14Speaker 6: What would that mean?
- 18:15Speaker 5: It mean that the starting quarterback or the starting star
- 18:18Speaker 5: player for the other teams all got hurt.
- 18:20Speaker 6: It means they got a new.
- 18:22Speaker 5: Star player, like something, something of a huge magnitude had happened.
- 18:28Speaker 5: So I don't know where this is coming from, or
- 18:30Speaker 5: what's the stem of it, what the root of it is.
- 18:32Speaker 5: I'm sure this just came out yesterday, so I'm sure
- 18:35Speaker 5: I'm assuming if there actually is some validity to something.
- 18:38Speaker 5: You're gonna hear more and more talked about it throughout
- 18:40Speaker 5: the day and throughout the week.
- 18:43Speaker 4: I don't know what is less likely, Saban or Saban
- 18:47Speaker 4: jumping Joe Brady because that's not gonna happen.
- 18:49Speaker 5: Yeah, I know, did Joe Brady want being the favorite?
- 18:53Speaker 5: Was always weird to me.
- 18:54Speaker 4: It's just because he was here in nineteen, but he
- 18:56Speaker 4: literally left college football because he didn't want to recruit.
- 18:59Speaker 4: And guess what, on don't know if you guys know this,
- 19:01Speaker 4: A lot's changed in the recruiting landscape since twenty nineteen
- 19:04Speaker 4: and it's way more crazy now. Doubt that's going to
- 19:07Speaker 4: bring him back in. But Matt, I mean, you were
- 19:11Speaker 4: a recruited best shaving and I understand you have to
- 19:13Speaker 4: reach out to it like that. That's what everybody says.
- 19:17Speaker 4: I'm not talking about what Saba did in the past.
- 19:19Speaker 4: I'm talking right now. Would you want ALSU to hire
- 19:22Speaker 4: a Saban like if he was willing to come, would
- 19:25Speaker 4: you want them to hire save it?
- 19:28Speaker 5: I think if they hired Sabing here, First of all,
- 19:30Speaker 5: am I talking about too close?
- 19:33Speaker 6: Okay?
- 19:34Speaker 5: I think if they hired Saban. I think everybody would
- 19:36Speaker 5: be really excited. For one, I think it's if you're
- 19:40Speaker 5: going to have somebody that could navigate the show that
- 19:45Speaker 5: is happening outside the football facility right now, from the
- 19:49Speaker 5: administration to the political side of things, to all the.
- 19:54Speaker 6: Suing back and forth with the X.
- 19:56Speaker 5: If you want somebody to navigate that and not really
- 19:59Speaker 5: care about, you know, what politicians say, and the strong
- 20:06Speaker 5: arming from everywhere else outside of football. He's probably the
- 20:11Speaker 5: guy that could handle all that because he's not gonna
- 20:14Speaker 5: you know, he wouldn't like listen to you, right, He's
- 20:16Speaker 5: Nick Saban. He's the greatest coach of all time. So
- 20:18Speaker 5: I think there's some excitement there.
- 20:20Speaker 6: But like.
- 20:22Speaker 5: I've always said since this whole thing started, like why
- 20:24Speaker 5: would he take this job?
- 20:26Speaker 6: Why would he take any job? What?
- 20:28Speaker 5: He doesn't? First of all, he did have anything to prove.
- 20:30Speaker 5: He doesn't have more money. I mean, I guess you
- 20:32Speaker 5: could always make more money, but like, he doesn't need
- 20:34Speaker 5: to make more money. I would assume. I don't know
- 20:36Speaker 5: his personal financials, but I'm assuming it's stable to quite stable.
- 20:42Speaker 5: So like, what what does he need to do? Why
- 20:45Speaker 5: would he take the job? Well, it says seventy two
- 20:47Speaker 5: years old, seventy three years old, seventy four? Is he
- 20:50Speaker 5: seventy four seventy four? I mean not that he can't
- 20:53Speaker 5: do it at that age. I'm just saying, why would
- 20:55Speaker 5: he Why would he put himself because he that man
- 20:59Speaker 5: only knows one way to coach, right, it's his way.
- 21:03Speaker 6: You think, just because.
- 21:04Speaker 5: He says he's going to be you know, a little
- 21:07Speaker 5: bit more calm or whatever, you think he's actually gonna
- 21:09Speaker 5: do it when the stuff it's the fan. I mean, no,
- 21:12Speaker 5: he's gonna come in now. I don't know what they've
- 21:16Speaker 5: offered him, If they've offered him anything. I'm sure there's
- 21:18Speaker 5: conversations that like, come in and do this, you know,
- 21:21Speaker 5: get it turned around right the ship for a second,
- 21:23Speaker 5: and then you can be part of the administration or athlete.
- 21:26Speaker 5: I mean all I've heard all that stuff. You can
- 21:27Speaker 5: be coach for three years and be an athletic director.
- 21:29Speaker 5: I don't know does he want to do that. I
- 21:32Speaker 5: guess we'll I guess we'll see. But something has clearly
- 21:35Speaker 5: happened to go to seventy five to one. Betty nods
- 21:38Speaker 5: to two to one.
- 21:41Speaker 4: I don't think Saban should take this job. I don't
- 21:44Speaker 4: think he should want this job. I mean, like you
- 21:46Speaker 4: mentioned what, he doesn't have anything to prove, right, Like
- 21:49Speaker 4: he's won everywhere he's been in a high level. If
- 21:53Speaker 4: you're Nick Saban, realistically, you're probably here three years. You
- 21:56Speaker 4: don't win a national championship in three years, then you
- 21:58Speaker 4: failed here at LSU. Because that's the whole reason you
- 22:00Speaker 4: bring somebody in like that, in you know, in his
- 22:03Speaker 4: advanced age, because of what he's done. That's why you
- 22:06Speaker 4: bring him in. If Saba doesn't win a championship, it's
- 22:08Speaker 4: gonna be viewed as a failure.
- 22:09Speaker 6: It is, Yeah, I guess that's what I mean.
- 22:11Speaker 5: Yeah, unless it's like, you know, get us to that
- 22:14Speaker 5: point and then be part of the athletic like the
- 22:18Speaker 5: direct ad stuff and be part of keep your stay
- 22:22Speaker 5: here in Baton Rouge and help us, then you're still
- 22:24Speaker 5: part of how we got back to that.
- 22:27Speaker 6: I get that. It's just a matter of like still why,
- 22:30Speaker 6: like why would he want to do it?
- 22:32Speaker 5: So yeah, I think it'd be irresponsible for LSU to
- 22:35Speaker 5: not try to like come up with some arrangement where
- 22:39Speaker 5: he comes in and either coaches or helps or does
- 22:41Speaker 5: something that's probably irresponsible. Again, Nick Saban is the greatest
- 22:45Speaker 5: college football coach to ever live. And I'm proud to
- 22:47Speaker 5: say that he recruited me. I played for him for
- 22:50Speaker 5: a couple of years. Didn't necessarily love it because he was,
- 22:52Speaker 5: you know, he's a hard ass, for sure, but I
- 22:55Speaker 5: understood even at the time. I was like, this guy's great,
- 22:58Speaker 5: this guy's an amazing head coach. So but I do
- 23:03Speaker 5: think it's probably he said it. He said it last
- 23:05Speaker 5: year he said that leaving l s U is one
- 23:08Speaker 5: of the biggest regrets or the biggest regret of his
- 23:10Speaker 5: entire career. Maybe that's because he, you know, NFL didn't
- 23:15Speaker 5: work out, but I also think he's probably had a
- 23:17Speaker 5: little piece of L s U in his heart for
- 23:20Speaker 5: since he's since he's left here and probably regretted that decision.
- 23:25Speaker 5: Didn't regret, of course, his time at Alabama. I'm not
- 23:27Speaker 5: saying that at all. I'm just saying that I think
- 23:29Speaker 5: that was that one decision that he's always kept roots
- 23:33Speaker 5: here in l s U or in Louisiana.
- 23:34Speaker 8: So he also left because of the way that things
- 23:39Speaker 8: are going in college football now. So I just don't think, yeah,
- 23:43Speaker 8: that has it. It's actually probably gotten worse, and I
- 23:46Speaker 8: don't know, like I just maybe he'll come if he
- 23:50Speaker 8: were to, like he might be successful in it.
- 23:52Speaker 7: But I just don't think he wants to. I don't think.
- 23:55Speaker 7: I think he's having a good time on game day.
- 23:58Speaker 8: What I'm saying Pat McAfee, I love them together.
- 24:03Speaker 5: So I never saw him smile when he was he
- 24:06Speaker 5: was our coach. Yeah, and then I saw him smile
- 24:09Speaker 5: like years later at Alabama, like in a press conference,
- 24:11Speaker 5: and I was like, that looks forced. That looks like
- 24:14Speaker 5: you've been like you hired a nice pr person. They said,
- 24:16Speaker 5: you have to your cheeks like you gotta.
- 24:19Speaker 6: Let's just work on it.
- 24:20Speaker 5: They go up, they don't go side to side, they
- 24:22Speaker 5: don't go down, they go up.
- 24:24Speaker 6: Let's work on it.
- 24:25Speaker 5: But like since he's been doing game day, I see
- 24:27Speaker 5: like true happiness on his face when he's doing it.
- 24:29Speaker 5: You can tell he loves Pat McAfee. You can tell
- 24:31Speaker 5: he loves like being part of that that whole crew.
- 24:34Speaker 5: And he does a really good job. He does, and
- 24:36Speaker 5: it looks like he really loves to someone a reclin
- 24:38Speaker 5: or too with a little throw blanket.
- 24:42Speaker 7: He looks so cumpsy TV.
- 24:44Speaker 8: That's the life I want to live, just like watching TV,
- 24:47Speaker 8: wrapped up in a blanky and somebody brings me a cake.
- 24:51Speaker 6: We'll get something for a we can all hope for
- 24:52Speaker 6: one day.
- 24:53Speaker 7: He's living his best life.
- 24:54Speaker 6: He is living his best life.
- 24:57Speaker 7: Right Stop trying to put him in these dogs.
- 24:59Speaker 6: Maybe come help us hire a coach, put him on
- 25:01Speaker 6: the committee.
- 25:01Speaker 4: So that's kind of my thing, like in order for
- 25:06Speaker 4: me to like this, and this is just one person's opinion, obviously,
- 25:08Speaker 4: Like I'm not saying I don't want Nick Saban as
- 25:10Speaker 4: a coach, but what I don't want is two years
- 25:12Speaker 4: from now, you do this process all over again. That's
- 25:14Speaker 4: what I don't want. Like in a perfect world, I
- 25:17Speaker 4: want a guy that can be here eight to ten
- 25:19Speaker 4: years right now. Let's use proven that they have a
- 25:21Speaker 4: four year window or you're out the door. But if
- 25:24Speaker 4: you're successful, you could be here for as long as
- 25:26Speaker 4: you want. Maybe if you hire Saban, you find a
- 25:30Speaker 4: guy that you're like, we love this guy. A Kelvin
- 25:33Speaker 4: Shepherd's a guy that's been brought up because a lot
- 25:35Speaker 4: of people, myself included, have said I don't want it
- 25:37Speaker 4: right now because he doesn't have the head coach and experience.
- 25:40Speaker 4: Could you bring in a young guy that you love,
- 25:42Speaker 4: you think can do it in a few years, learn
- 25:44Speaker 4: under Sabin for a year or two, and then take
- 25:46Speaker 4: the reins from there, like maybe that way is the
- 25:49Speaker 4: way to go on something like this. I just two
- 25:51Speaker 4: to three years down the road. I don't want to
- 25:52Speaker 4: be doing this whole over again.
- 25:53Speaker 6: Yeah I don't either.
- 25:56Speaker 5: If you want to look at it from a different
- 25:57Speaker 5: point of view, though, if you think about all the
- 26:02Speaker 5: head coaches that could possibly come, and you name a
- 26:05Speaker 5: name in the NFL college name, take the top name
- 26:09Speaker 5: besides Nick Saban and throw him in this landscape where
- 26:13Speaker 5: we have governors evolved, we have top donors involved, we
- 26:17Speaker 5: have the top businessman Louisiana involved. We have a new president,
- 26:22Speaker 5: we got a new AD, we have all these things
- 26:24Speaker 5: involved that look very unattractive to a lot of coaches
- 26:28Speaker 5: because at the pecking order it's going to be governor
- 26:33Speaker 5: or the supervisors, ad, all these things, and the head
- 26:35Speaker 5: coach is going to be down here. You can make
- 26:37Speaker 5: the argument that a saving comes, he's the top of
- 26:40Speaker 5: the pecking order if he comes, because I don't think
- 26:43Speaker 5: he's going to deal with any of that BS.
- 26:45Speaker 4: I don't think you think you could say that, But
- 26:47Speaker 4: I think that's how it is.
- 26:48Speaker 5: Yeah, you could say, I mean, anybody in Louisiana would
- 26:53Speaker 5: say yes, sir to him. So I guess that's kind
- 26:57Speaker 5: of what I sawed, like anybody that could deal with this,
- 26:59Speaker 5: No one's gonna deal with that better. But again, just
- 27:03Speaker 5: why why would he do it? So we'll see. But again,
- 27:06Speaker 5: whether there's smoke, there is fire. And he has jumped
- 27:08Speaker 5: for some reason in the betting nods from seventy five
- 27:11Speaker 5: to one all the way to two to one, which
- 27:15Speaker 5: is a wild jump. And I can't wait. There's got
- 27:18Speaker 5: to be some more information that comes out on why
- 27:20Speaker 5: that is.
- 27:20Speaker 6: But we will see.
- 27:22Speaker 5: LSU will eventually name their head coach and we can't
- 27:25Speaker 5: wait to see who it is. And we just pray
- 27:28Speaker 5: and hope that it's gonna be a good one and
- 27:31Speaker 5: it's gonna be lasting stability here at LSU because that's
- 27:34Speaker 5: what they deserve, that's what we deserve, that's.
- 27:36Speaker 6: What this program deserves.
- 27:38Speaker 5: So here's the open, all right, let's go to break
- 27:41Speaker 5: and then when we come back, we can talk a
- 27:43Speaker 5: little bit about more of the other coaching spots. Maybe
- 27:46Speaker 5: we'll get too little NFL QB rankings right here on
- 27:49Speaker 5: off the.
- 27:49Speaker 9: Bench, off the bench, all.
- 27:55Speaker 5: Right, go to go Tommy's dot Com, Tommy's windows, sightings, doors,
- 28:02Speaker 5: Go on, somebody, let's go yo, tell me Tummy. All right,
- 28:07Speaker 5: go to tommas if you got a project. When you
- 28:09Speaker 5: work with them with their windows or sightings or doors,
- 28:11Speaker 5: whatever it is, if you have a project, you will
- 28:13Speaker 5: clearly see the difference when you work with Tommy's.
- 28:16Speaker 6: We've been We've talked to him plenty of times.
- 28:18Speaker 5: I know he's done work at Jakeson, is about to
- 28:19Speaker 5: do some work over at our house as well. And
- 28:22Speaker 5: you will see the difference when you work with Tommys
- 28:24Speaker 5: because when you work with Tommys, you're working with winners.
- 28:28Speaker 6: You're working with champions.
- 28:29Speaker 5: You're working with people that bring in awards year after
- 28:32Speaker 5: year after year. We're talking Angie's List Super Service Award
- 28:36Speaker 5: twenty sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen three, every single year they
- 28:42Speaker 5: are stacking banners. Why because they are the best. They
- 28:45Speaker 5: are reliable, they are efficient, they're dependable, they're professional, and
- 28:49Speaker 5: when you work with them, you will see that difference.
- 28:51Speaker 5: Go to go Tommy's dot.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Ham two thousand and seven, Champs Purple and Gold to
- 29:08Speaker 1: the core. This is off the Bench with Hester and Flynn,
- 29:12Speaker 1: Matt and Rouges go to for all things Louisiana Sports.
- 29:18Speaker 5: You say, all right, welcome back off the bench Wednesday mornings.
- 29:51Speaker 5: I hope you drive is going well this morning. What
- 29:55Speaker 5: a beautiful world we live in. We're gonna come in
- 29:58Speaker 5: here every morning talk sports.
- 30:00Speaker 6: Sports. The greatest thing on Earth.
- 30:03Speaker 5: Brings out competitiveness, brings out the fire, the intensity. It's
- 30:09Speaker 5: the greatest reality show on planet Earth. It was Reality
- 30:13Speaker 5: TV before we even knew what reality TV was. And
- 30:17Speaker 5: by god, the LSU drama could be on e could
- 30:22Speaker 5: be on Bravo. It's actually kind of a shame that
- 30:28Speaker 5: hadn't been like a camera crew following like creating this,
- 30:30Speaker 5: like making a documentary about the events that have happened,
- 30:33Speaker 5: like laundry. You're gonna lay that out this week or
- 30:35Speaker 5: maybe next Monday with that timeline.
- 30:37Speaker 8: I'm sure there's I'm sure there's somebody that's always filming something, you.
- 30:42Speaker 7: Know what I mean.
- 30:43Speaker 6: Yeah, everyone's got a phone on their.
- 30:45Speaker 7: They document everything, you know.
- 30:47Speaker 8: They make that thing called the Path that they release
- 30:50Speaker 8: every week. They even released one like after Brian Kelly
- 30:53Speaker 8: was fired. So I'm sure there's stuff out there.
- 30:56Speaker 7: On film.
- 30:57Speaker 5: But can you imagine the documentary thirty for thirty, like
- 31:02Speaker 5: like behind the scenes, following like Jeff Landry before that
- 31:05Speaker 5: press conference, Hey watch this, I'm about to shake it up. Yeah,
- 31:09Speaker 5: following Scott Woodward, following Brian Kelly, the board, the board,
- 31:16Speaker 5: how they're making their decisions on all this stuff that
- 31:19Speaker 5: would be electric.
- 31:21Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 31:22Speaker 8: That's the part I still don't get though, is like
- 31:25Speaker 8: where they're saying that Scott Woodward didn't have authority because
- 31:28Speaker 8: the Board of Supervisors didn't approve it, and then everybody
- 31:32Speaker 8: wants to blame Scott Woodward for giving him that contract,
- 31:35Speaker 8: but he obviously had to approve it with the Board
- 31:38Speaker 8: of Supervisors.
- 31:39Speaker 7: So it's like, okay, I don't.
- 31:42Speaker 6: Oh that was such a good clip I saw on
- 31:44Speaker 6: the socials. Yeah, I think you sent it the clip
- 31:47Speaker 6: of from the office.
- 31:49Speaker 5: Oh yeah, cause because we don't like him.
- 31:53Speaker 7: I like him him, I have cause.
- 31:58Speaker 5: Yeah, it's definitely not because you stay and M. It's
- 32:02Speaker 5: because of cause because we don't.
- 32:05Speaker 7: Like you, because you keep losing to Texas and M.
- 32:09Speaker 5: Because you keep losing. I just saw that. I just
- 32:13Speaker 5: read here that the boot Trophy, the famous rivalry trophy. Yeah,
- 32:20Speaker 5: between LSU and Arkansas weighs two hundred pounds. It was
- 32:24Speaker 5: ten thousand dollars hunk of gold.
- 32:26Speaker 7: It weighs two hundred pounds.
- 32:27Speaker 5: Two hundred pounds, that's what they're saying right here, And
- 32:30Speaker 5: a ten thousand dollars hunk of gold.
- 32:36Speaker 7: How what'd you think that's going for.
- 32:37Speaker 5: Since nineteen sixty So that was nineteen sixty six, So
- 32:41Speaker 5: let's see gold prices since nineteen sixty six have soared
- 32:46Speaker 5: up to like a five hundred and seventy percent.
- 32:49Speaker 7: Oh snap, yeah, sell that and get a coach with it.
- 32:52Speaker 5: That's what I'm saying. It's pretty good. That's a good
- 32:57Speaker 5: investment on that. That boot for sure, Like we don't
- 33:00Speaker 5: need it though no one cares about it except for Arkansas.
- 33:03Speaker 5: No one at LSU cares about it at least all right,
- 33:06Speaker 5: So we just talked about l s U and Nick
- 33:08Speaker 5: Saban jumping up to two to one. Let's look around
- 33:11Speaker 5: at all the other some of the other big coaching
- 33:14Speaker 5: jobs that are available and look at their like what
- 33:18Speaker 5: coaches Because this is this is ever evolving. I guess
- 33:20Speaker 5: it's based on information that's leaked to the crowd sources. Meetings, UH,
- 33:26Speaker 5: private jet tail numbers, all that good stuff. But let's see,
- 33:30Speaker 5: we'll take a look at starting the SEC Arkansas Ryan
- 33:34Speaker 5: Silverfield that surpassed James Franklin as the favorite there. Ryan
- 33:40Speaker 5: Silverfield is the head coach of Memphis. I don't know
- 33:42Speaker 5: a lot about Memphis except that who they beat earlier?
- 33:45Speaker 5: They beat They beat Arkansas, didn't they, Yes earlier, Yeah,
- 33:50Speaker 5: they beat him. So yeah, he's the odds on favorite,
- 33:53Speaker 5: surpassing James Franklin. If funny enough, James Franklin is not
- 33:56Speaker 5: the the leader in the clubhouse on any big time
- 33:59Speaker 5: schools right now. Auburn John Sumraw has surpassed Kenny Dillingham
- 34:03Speaker 5: as the favorite. Of course, John Sumraw with too Lane,
- 34:05Speaker 5: Kenny Dillingham, Arizona State, somehere else seems like a Auburn
- 34:09Speaker 5: fit for whatever reason he does. And I'm not basing
- 34:11Speaker 5: that on anything because I haven't really watched Tulane.
- 34:14Speaker 6: I've heard him talk, and I've seen.
- 34:16Speaker 5: The way he physically looks, and he just to me
- 34:19Speaker 5: looks like an Auburn guy.
- 34:20Speaker 4: He's also completely different than what you've had in your
- 34:22Speaker 4: last three coaches. Yeah, none of which you've worked out
- 34:24Speaker 4: a little bit more alpha. You've had you've had mentality, Yeah,
- 34:28Speaker 4: kind of finesse. He's more of that that gritty, hard
- 34:31Speaker 4: news guy. I love that fit.
- 34:33Speaker 6: Yeah, I actually like that a lot too.
- 34:34Speaker 5: And again I'm basing that literally off off just vibes
- 34:39Speaker 5: only you were.
- 34:40Speaker 4: You were just talking about Ryan Silverfield. I don't think
- 34:44Speaker 4: a lot of people realize how good of a coach
- 34:47Speaker 4: Ryan Silverfield is. You know, when we were doing the
- 34:49Speaker 4: uh the preseason college football records, a laundra actually put
- 34:53Speaker 4: Memphis at twenty four, which was a great pick, and like,
- 34:57Speaker 4: the reason I loved it the most was Ryan Silverfield.
- 34:59Speaker 4: Silver is in his sixth season. Okay, he's never had
- 35:02Speaker 4: a losing season at Memphis. He is working on his
- 35:05Speaker 4: third straight double digit win season. He's fifty and twenty
- 35:09Speaker 4: two overall and four and oho in bowl games at Memphi.
- 35:12Speaker 4: Like Ryan Silverfield, kid coach in football. That would be
- 35:14Speaker 4: an excellent high. Four on bowl games at Memphis. Yep, okay, ah,
- 35:20Speaker 4: I mean Arkansas, you I mean and he beat Arkansas,
- 35:25Speaker 4: So yeah, that seems like a pretty good fit. I mean,
- 35:28Speaker 4: he's he's eight and two right now, trying to close
- 35:30Speaker 4: in on his third straight double digit win, right, great
- 35:35Speaker 4: coach so you're saying basic only his first two right,
- 35:38Speaker 4: Ryan Silverfield Arkansas seems right, jumps John summer Off feels
- 35:41Speaker 4: like an Auburn fit. Oh, Jake thinks Jimbo Fisher might
- 35:45Speaker 4: be getting a Lookxie over there.
- 35:46Speaker 7: So I don't know, like Jimbo would be a really
- 35:50Speaker 7: good fit at Auburn.
- 35:52Speaker 5: Because he's been at Auburn. Yeah, his quarterbacks Damion Craig there,
- 35:55Speaker 5: Damien has been coach.
- 35:56Speaker 8: I feel like he's one of the ones that does
- 35:58Speaker 8: want to come back. Yeah, I feel like he had
- 36:00Speaker 8: enough time away where he's like, actually, I kind of
- 36:03Speaker 8: feel like I want to get back into it, and
- 36:06Speaker 8: I don't know, Auburn feels like a good fit. And
- 36:08Speaker 8: then last week, you know, rumors, how rumors go. But
- 36:13Speaker 8: to this Ryan Silverfield thing, there are reports last week
- 36:16Speaker 8: that he was already taking the job at Arkansas and.
- 36:20Speaker 7: That he was supposed to meet with but those were rumors.
- 36:22Speaker 8: Who knows, So maybe that is one of those like
- 36:25Speaker 8: where there's smoke, there's fire kind of things.
- 36:27Speaker 4: But to that point, two weeks ago, he was linked
- 36:32Speaker 4: to the Virginia Tech job and it didn't happen for
- 36:35Speaker 4: whatever reason. Maybe he was holding out for a school
- 36:37Speaker 4: like Arkansas, like Silverfield's a guy out there that's gonna
- 36:40Speaker 4: have some options. To your point about Jimbo, he's twenty
- 36:43Speaker 4: five to one right now at Auburn, Like he's one
- 36:45Speaker 4: of the top nine guys right now in terms of odds.
- 36:48Speaker 4: Like his name's actually decently hot.
- 36:51Speaker 5: Yeah, and I'm assuming that he is also surprissed James
- 36:55Speaker 5: Franklin because there's been so much action with James Franklin
- 36:58Speaker 5: or Virginia Tech as well.
- 37:00Speaker 6: Mm hmmm. Jimoh Fisher currently twenty five to one for
- 37:05Speaker 6: the Auburn John Hey, Jake.
- 37:08Speaker 7: Ya, come on, just come on.
- 37:11Speaker 6: Yeah, you don't have to wait.
- 37:12Speaker 7: We have a while.
- 37:13Speaker 6: You can take the take the dog down, all right.
- 37:18Speaker 5: Florida Lane Kiffin Hester passed Eli Drinkwitz as the favorite.
- 37:21Speaker 6: I mean, that's who I don't know.
- 37:24Speaker 7: Florida is gonna be the that feels like a lateral
- 37:27Speaker 7: move swing.
- 37:29Speaker 5: For the fences. They're they're gonna do. Is that's what
- 37:31Speaker 5: they're gonna do. We just talked about Nick Saban, so
- 37:36Speaker 5: we we don't need to rehash that, all right. Eric
- 37:41Speaker 5: Morris Hester passed Zach Robinson is a favorite of Oklahoma State,
- 37:45Speaker 5: talking about this. Yeah, head coach North Texas Zach Robinson,
- 37:49Speaker 5: oh C for the Falcons, and he was the quarterback.
- 37:52Speaker 5: That's probably the reason why he was at the top
- 37:54Speaker 5: of the list. He had a really good career. Oklahoma State, Yeah,
- 37:58Speaker 5: they have really good career. Uh so you at the
- 38:01Speaker 5: you got any like good feedback on North Texas mean Green.
- 38:05Speaker 4: Yeah, they're really good, man, I mean they're what are
- 38:07Speaker 4: they eight and one right now? Like North Texas is
- 38:10Speaker 4: rolling a little bit, and like Eric Morris. He was
- 38:12Speaker 4: the oc co OC at Texas Tech in twenty seventeen.
- 38:16Speaker 4: Patrick Mahomes was his quarterback. He goes to in Carner
- 38:19Speaker 4: word gets a guy named cam Board. Cam loved him
- 38:22Speaker 4: so much that when he was named OC at Washington State,
- 38:25Speaker 4: he goes over there with him as well as well
- 38:27Speaker 4: as the you know, the head coach and everything and there.
- 38:29Speaker 4: And then now he's at North Texas in his third season.
- 38:32Speaker 4: He's eight and one. Eric Morris in North Texas like
- 38:36Speaker 4: he fits Oklahoma State. When Oklahoma State has a good offense,
- 38:39Speaker 4: they're fun. Eric Morris is one of the best offensive
- 38:43Speaker 4: coaches in my opinion in college football.
- 38:45Speaker 5: Yeah, how sexy of a job is Oklahoma state though not.
- 38:49Speaker 5: It's not right unless you could have tried to coach
- 38:53Speaker 5: with like a lot of boosters and a lot of.
- 38:55Speaker 2: Like unless you got a beautiful mullet too.
- 38:57Speaker 5: Unless you got a beautiful mullet. I mean, it's that's
- 39:00Speaker 5: a prerequist.
- 39:03Speaker 6: Mm hmm. Speaking of facial hair, how's my mustache going?
- 39:08Speaker 4: Uh?
- 39:08Speaker 6: Free light? It's not like it's not dark hair that's
- 39:11Speaker 6: the problem.
- 39:12Speaker 5: Yeah, just for men. Perhaps it's been growing for weeks now. Yeah,
- 39:18Speaker 5: I know that's it's not short, m it's just.
- 39:26Speaker 6: Not deep in color.
- 39:28Speaker 2: So who do the uh who? The eyes makers.
- 39:31Speaker 7: Saving two to one?
- 39:33Speaker 2: All right, they.
- 39:34Speaker 6: Jump from seventy five to one to two.
- 39:36Speaker 7: You know who? I you know who? I like that
- 39:39Speaker 7: we haven't really talked about. Maybe I said it.
- 39:42Speaker 8: I don't remember, but you know who plays like hard nose,
- 39:45Speaker 8: fun physical football and it's fun to watch and they
- 39:50Speaker 8: run the ball. Yeah, okay, another tech Texas tech Joey
- 39:55Speaker 8: maguire is awesome. Like I wouldn't mind have LSU went
- 40:00Speaker 8: and tried to poke around over there and see what
- 40:02Speaker 8: they can find.
- 40:03Speaker 7: But I like Joey McGuire.
- 40:05Speaker 2: I bet Joey likes his check book at Texas tech.
- 40:08Speaker 8: Fair enough at oil money roster looked, Yeah, didn't they
- 40:14Speaker 8: spend the most?
- 40:15Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 40:16Speaker 2: I think so.
- 40:17Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 40:18Speaker 3: Odds like that are always they're fun. It's always funny
- 40:23Speaker 3: who it has going in which location, and oftentimes it's
- 40:27Speaker 3: not very right. But you know, anytime that Nick Saban
- 40:30Speaker 3: jumped from seventy five to one to two to one,
- 40:32Speaker 3: that's going to grab everyone's attention here in ben Uge.
- 40:36Speaker 5: That's what we're saying, Like Better's betters can influence the line,
- 40:39Speaker 5: but betters aren't influencing the line like that. He might
- 40:43Speaker 5: go from seventy five to one to forty five to
- 40:46Speaker 5: one based on some big bets or whatever I mean.
- 40:49Speaker 5: I mean, I guess I really don't know what it's
- 40:51Speaker 5: talking about, Like how much bet can influence.
- 40:53Speaker 6: That big of a line.
- 40:55Speaker 5: But somebody went in there and changed that on the
- 40:57Speaker 5: computer like big time, and it's based on something, it's
- 41:02Speaker 5: not based on nothing.
- 41:03Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 41:03Speaker 3: I just saw Coach Saban in the Saban family suite
- 41:07Speaker 3: at Brandon any State for the weekend.
- 41:12Speaker 2: He did not have an L. Shue shirt on.
- 41:14Speaker 6: Isn't it?
- 41:14Speaker 5: Yeah? Their fields named Nick Saban Field, Yes it is,
- 41:18Speaker 5: and coach would they would they take the name away.
- 41:21Speaker 6: If he became LS, I'll probably leave it. Yeah, let's
- 41:24Speaker 6: not call it that.
- 41:25Speaker 5: Maybe a week Yeah, l SH versus Alabama on Nick
- 41:30Speaker 5: Saban field.
- 41:32Speaker 3: So the odds to become the USC coach in twenty
- 41:34Speaker 3: twenty one when Lincoln Riley did, the best odds were
- 41:38Speaker 3: Luke Fickle, also PJ Flag, Mario Cristobal for Tennessee. When
- 41:43Speaker 3: Josh Heipel got it in twenty twenty one, Billy Napier,
- 41:47Speaker 3: Jamie Chadwell, and Kevin Steele had the best odds. Yeah,
- 41:52Speaker 3: so we could go down, we could go down a
- 41:53Speaker 3: rabbit hole of a different Let's see what was LS
- 41:57Speaker 3: shoes When Alabama opened up after Nick Saban, Dan Lanning
- 42:02Speaker 3: was the leader in the clubhouse, followed by Dabo Sweeney
- 42:05Speaker 3: and Mike Norvel.
- 42:08Speaker 5: Dick Dixon just texted, I said, when k was hired,
- 42:11Speaker 5: his name wasn't even on the betting list.
- 42:13Speaker 3: I'm looking right now. So when October nineteenth of twenty
- 42:17Speaker 3: twenty one, it was Mel Tucker, Yeah, plus two hundred,
- 42:21Speaker 3: Lane Keffen, Luke Fickle, James Franklin, Jimbo, Billy Napier, Bill O'Brien,
- 42:28Speaker 3: Mark Stoops, Joe Brady, Bob Stoops, Dave Randa, urban Meyer,
- 42:33Speaker 3: and John Gruden.
- 42:35Speaker 6: Let's get Griden's called to day.
- 42:36Speaker 4: Who was Tucker's agent? I obviously it Ain'tymore who was
- 42:40Speaker 4: his agent? His name had gotten floated sowhere and he
- 42:44Speaker 4: had one good year at Michigan State, I mean not
- 42:46Speaker 4: always blew my mind.
- 42:51Speaker 5: Hmmmm.
- 42:52Speaker 2: So there you have it. Love that fun though, but
- 42:57Speaker 2: it's fun. Who was all on the list?
- 43:00Speaker 7: Four l s U It was Saban, Joe Brady Lane.
- 43:05Speaker 5: Actually lanes the second now lanes fifty plus three, seventy five,
- 43:10Speaker 5: Clerk Lee five to one, oh Dan Lanning seventy one,
- 43:13Speaker 5: James Franklin nine to one, John summer Off ten to one,
- 43:16Speaker 5: Brent Keith fourteen, Jim Bow eighteen, and dyln Am twenty.
- 43:20Speaker 5: And you got drink lets, Marcus Freeman, Jeff Bron, Lincoln Riley,
- 43:23Speaker 5: Dabo Hello, would we be happy with Dabo? Ten year contract?
- 43:26Speaker 4: Anybody he's got the resume, It's probably gonna be Matt Campbell.

- 45:14Speaker 5: seventy four, said advanced stage. I don't know if you
- 45:17Speaker 5: can say that anymore.
- 45:17Speaker 4: I did say it.
- 45:20Speaker 5: Seventy four is like the new sixty four?
- 45:23Speaker 1: Is that right?
- 45:24Speaker 6: That's what they say.
- 45:26Speaker 3: I haven't watched the agism, but I don't never speaking
