- 0:02SPEAKER_00: Hi.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: How are you?
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: I'm good.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: How are you?
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: Happy Sunday.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: Happy Sunday.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: Just saw you last night.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: You did.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: We had a lovely dinner.
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: We did have a lovely dinner.
- 0:15SPEAKER_03: That table was a little small for six people, I'm just gonna say.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: Like six, you know, like.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: And a couple full three full-size men.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it definitely was tight.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's always a little bit like even their two-person tables are kind of like bistro table size.
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: But it was definitely tight.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: But you were all family here.
- 0:37SPEAKER_03: We were fine.
- 0:38SPEAKER_03: We were fine.
- 0:39SPEAKER_03: We went to a restaurant in Fitler Square in Philadelphia called Sally.
- 0:43SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 0:43SPEAKER_03: That is getting a lot of recognition for its pizza.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: I mean, it has absolutely delicious pizza.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: It also oh my god, if you hear the I'm so sorry.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: I can't make him go away.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: Smoker behind my mom's.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, everyone.
- 0:58SPEAKER_03: My dog.
- 1:00SPEAKER_03: Oh, I'm sorry.
- 1:01SPEAKER_03: He has heart failure.
- 1:04SPEAKER_03: Congestive.
- 1:05SPEAKER_03: Congestive.
- 1:06SPEAKER_03: What's congenitive?
- 1:07SPEAKER_03: I just mean congenital is like uh is like when you have like a congenital disease.
- 1:12SPEAKER_03: Oh well, he has congestive heart failure.
- 1:14SPEAKER_03: He's 15 years old, and he's just doing his best.
- 1:19SPEAKER_03: He is doing his best.
- 1:20SPEAKER_03: And uh for those who are worried, he seems completely fine.
- 1:25SPEAKER_03: He just sounds horrible.
- 1:26SPEAKER_03: It's terrible.
- 1:27SPEAKER_03: Oh, I'm really sorry.
- 1:28SPEAKER_03: Should I get him out of here?
- 1:29SPEAKER_03: I'm really sorry for having him do that the whole time, unfortunately.
- 1:32SPEAKER_02: I love him to death, but yes, he's gotta go.
- 1:34SPEAKER_02: Oh my god.
- 1:35SPEAKER_02: That sounds it sounds terribly in in um what do you want to call it?
- 1:43SPEAKER_03: Unempathetic, insensitive, but you know, we got a podcast to do here.
- 1:50SPEAKER_03: He's not dying today.
- 1:51SPEAKER_03: No, he's definitely not dying today, thankfully.
- 1:53SPEAKER_03: Hopefully he'll be okay.
- 1:54SPEAKER_03: If not, yeah, we'll get it.
- 1:56SPEAKER_03: He did have us up at like 5 30 this morning coughing.
- 2:00SPEAKER_03: So I went downstairs and got him uh his special dose of medicine, which I thought was helping.
- 2:06SPEAKER_03: I was just gonna say maybe I saw it.
- 2:11SPEAKER_03: Oh boy.
- 2:13SPEAKER_02: Well, we'll see how long that that last I mean Titan.
- 2:21SPEAKER_03: We have things to do here, my love.
- 2:23SPEAKER_03: Okay, Titan, lay down.
- 2:25SPEAKER_03: Um, so I just want to address a couple things really fast before we get into so many things that I want to talk about.
- 2:32SPEAKER_03: Agree, I don't have one note, so I love notes.
- 2:36SPEAKER_03: Okay, I love that.
- 2:37SPEAKER_03: Uh number one, shame on you, my daughter, for not calling out my hilariously horrible hair last week before we started podcasting.
- 2:50SPEAKER_03: I could see in some of the clips I was trying to like do something with it because it was so flat and horrible.
- 2:57SPEAKER_03: The irony being like an hour before, I thought it looked fantastic.
- 3:00SPEAKER_03: And I don't, for those of you who think maybe like I got a blowout for this, I I did not.
- 3:04SPEAKER_03: It's got like actually a very funny thing here.
- 3:07SPEAKER_03: Okay, all right.
- 3:08SPEAKER_03: I should just take him out of the room.
- 3:10SPEAKER_03: I mean, is he gonna do that the whole time?
- 3:13SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 3:14SPEAKER_03: I'm hoping he's gonna lay down and calm down.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: Okay, continue.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: So you had horrible hair in the last episode.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: And you didn't tell me.
- 3:22SPEAKER_03: Well, I just You didn't say, like, before we start, Mom, fluff your hair, do something.
- 3:28SPEAKER_03: I mean, I don't I know it's not like does not rise to the level of like the chin hair situation, but I looked terrible.
- 3:35SPEAKER_03: Let me just say something.
- 3:37SPEAKER_03: I realize not that many people are watching us, and it's only the clips that matter.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: No, I can't wait to do that.
- 3:43SPEAKER_03: I mean, it's not people like listening to us.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: You have like a deep side part.
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: You you refuse to let it go.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: Well sometimes.
- 4:02SPEAKER_03: I mean, he's gotta go.
- 4:05SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 4:05SPEAKER_03: Should I literally get up and move him out right now?
- 4:08SPEAKER_03: I'm not sure.
- 4:09SPEAKER_03: He's not gonna be happy because Mark isn't at home.
- 4:12SPEAKER_03: This is my mom.
- 4:12SPEAKER_03: Oh god, Titan.
- 4:14SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 4:15SPEAKER_03: Everyone will understand.
- 4:16SPEAKER_03: It's not like an annoying knocking.
- 4:18SPEAKER_03: I mean, I'm not sure.
- 4:18SPEAKER_03: Everyone will understand.
- 4:19SPEAKER_03: Have grace people.
- 4:20SPEAKER_03: It's regardless.
- 4:21SPEAKER_03: It's like an annoying sound in your ear.
- 4:23SPEAKER_03: I know.
- 4:24SPEAKER_03: I am so sorry.
- 4:25SPEAKER_03: I am I really apologize.
- 4:26SPEAKER_03: I do feel as though once he settles down, he will stop.
- 4:29SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 4:30SPEAKER_03: Maybe we'll just edit the first five minutes and we'll just start fresh.
- 4:34SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 4:34SPEAKER_03: We'll see what happens.
- 4:36SPEAKER_03: Um, anyway, just I I have a deep side part, it's where my hair naturally parts.
- 4:40SPEAKER_03: I don't think I can work a middle part.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying, sometimes because of how deep your side, and I feel as though on the day last week, it was particularly sidey.
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: Perhaps.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: More so.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: And I just think that I also had no lift whatsoever.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: Like, you can only have so much lift when there's so much hair on the side.
- 5:03SPEAKER_03: I I understand.
- 5:04SPEAKER_03: I'm just saying it looked really bad, and you should have to be a little bit more.
- 5:08SPEAKER_03: I mean, it wasn't your best hair, but you are.
- 5:10SPEAKER_02: You know, we what were we gonna do?
- 5:11SPEAKER_02: Okay, like you were gonna do that.
- 5:14SPEAKER_03: No, I wasn't.
- 5:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I would have literally flipped my hair upside down twice and it would have happened.
- 5:17SPEAKER_03: Okay, I'm sorry, I should do that.
- 5:19SPEAKER_03: Number two, I did have one person make a comment that the use of my use of the word yiddy last week and whatever we were talking about was potentially a pejorative term.
- 5:29SPEAKER_03: I did not mean it in that way.
- 5:32SPEAKER_03: I just meant the old the modern Orthodox that live around your neighborhood, and I was not meaning that in a pejorative way, so I do apologize if there was anyone offended.
- 5:42SPEAKER_03: I just know who said that to you.
- 5:47SPEAKER_02: Do you want to know right now?
- 5:48SPEAKER_02: I mean, don't out them on the pod, but like interesting.
- 5:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 5:53SPEAKER_02: I don't think they were terribly serious with so much things going on.
- 6:02SPEAKER_03: Going on.
- 6:03SPEAKER_03: Like, there heids, what can we say?
- 6:06SPEAKER_03: But that is actually it is I looked it up.
- 6:09SPEAKER_03: It's technically when used by a non-Jew, it is a pejorative term.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: We're Jewish, thank God.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: It's not like we're walking around saying the K-word, and if we were, we could call ourselves that.
- 6:18SPEAKER_03: Well, yes, technically, it's my word to have to be offended by.
- 6:24SPEAKER_03: A hundred percent.
- 6:25SPEAKER_01: Anyway, I was just saying, for all I wanted to say was a very quick for anybody out there who might have been offended by that word, well, I'm gonna turn back off of that, which I'm sure this is going to be something that we do talk about this week, but I'm feeling badly that I basically on the last episode was like, I don't want to talk about the rape because that's obviously coming from like an incredibly privileged, safe in my home perspective.
- 6:53SPEAKER_01: I didn't want to like get so deep into a topic at that time, like we were 50 minutes in, and I didn't want to snow, like, there's so much to be said, and it's a serious topic that deserves like actual time and energy spent.
- 7:06SPEAKER_01: But I feel like the way that I said, like, I don't want to talk about the rate, like it was just very like blase nonplos.
- 7:13SPEAKER_01: Like, move on, I don't want to talk about that.
- 7:15SPEAKER_01: And that's 100% not how I feel.
- 7:18SPEAKER_01: And then listening back to it, I was feeling badly.
- 7:21SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm clearly speaking from such a place of privilege.
- 7:24SPEAKER_01: I didn't like that I said it the way that I said it.
- 7:26SPEAKER_01: Like, we should have had a conversation pre whatever, saying, like, we're talking about this or we're not, or we're gonna do it in a specific way.
- 7:34SPEAKER_01: But I shouldn't have just said it on the pod that way, and I I want to apologize if I offended anyone with that.
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: The Yiddy comment, whoever said that, they gotta chill.
- 7:44SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 7:45SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 7:46SPEAKER_03: Um, we're gonna push Cornell off.
- 7:50SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 7:51SPEAKER_03: For a little bit, because I feel like if we start that, yeah.
- 7:55SPEAKER_03: It we are gonna have to talk about it just a little bit.
- 7:58SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 7:59SPEAKER_03: Um, but I do have one other thing I wanted to not uh not have anything to do with last week, just a little call out.
- 8:06SPEAKER_03: Um, as you know, um, I purchased that Meticube Booster Pro.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: I do know.
- 8:13SPEAKER_03: Um, I've had it for, I don't know, a couple days now.
- 8:15SPEAKER_03: I've used it twice.
- 8:18SPEAKER_03: If anyone knows like has any tips on how to use that best.
- 8:26SPEAKER_03: Why don't you just like YouTube it?
- 8:28SPEAKER_03: I did.
- 8:28SPEAKER_03: I did, and I have watched a bunch of videos.
- 8:31SPEAKER_03: I just want to know like what serums are people using or skincare items are people using with it to get the best results.
- 8:40SPEAKER_03: I mean, again, I'm not expecting it.
- 8:42SPEAKER_03: Kaife Jenna loves it, so you should go look at her Instagram and see what she uses it with.
- 8:48SPEAKER_03: I know, I'm sure she uses it with the ANUA PDRN, whatever, because that's like her, that's her whole thing now.
- 8:58SPEAKER_03: She lives for that brand.
- 9:00SPEAKER_03: Which I can do.
- 9:01SPEAKER_03: Was a k was Kendall loves it.
- 9:04SPEAKER_03: Oh, yes, you're right.
- 9:05SPEAKER_03: You're right, you're right, you're right.
- 9:06SPEAKER_03: You are correct.
- 9:07SPEAKER_03: I'm wrong.
- 9:08SPEAKER_03: I got confused.
- 9:08SPEAKER_03: And Kylie's always using that Metacube thing.
- 9:11SPEAKER_03: Oh, is she?
- 9:12SPEAKER_03: She does love it.
- 9:13SPEAKER_03: Go check it out.
- 9:13SPEAKER_03: Yeah, go see what she's doing with it.
- 9:15SPEAKER_03: Okay, I will.
- 9:16SPEAKER_03: But if anybody has any suggestions, you know, message me because I am curious.
- 9:21SPEAKER_03: Comment.
- 9:22SPEAKER_03: Um, it's just I'm adding, you know, yet another five to ten minutes into my already protracted skincare routine, which seems completely absurd and ridiculous, but I mean, look, it's supposed to be whatever you want it to be.
- 9:36SPEAKER_01: So, like, if it's something that you take joy in and you enjoy the ceremony and the whatever of it, then who cares how many steps you have?
- 9:45SPEAKER_01: I think it's when people have 10-step routines because they think they have to and they wish that their routine was only two steps.
- 9:53SPEAKER_01: Like your routine could just be two steps.
- 9:55SPEAKER_03: Correct.
- 9:55SPEAKER_03: I like a long routine.
- 9:56SPEAKER_03: I enjoy it.
- 9:57SPEAKER_03: I know, so long it up, extend it, do something else.
- 10:00SPEAKER_03: I I look, I already do.
- 10:03SPEAKER_03: I already have a very long list.
- 10:06SPEAKER_03: I know.
- 10:06SPEAKER_03: From morning and night, including my red light mask, you know, five times a week and all those things.
- 10:12SPEAKER_03: And I, you know, I'm not gonna sick.
- 10:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah, well, we'll see.
- 10:16SPEAKER_03: I mean, I it's still not quite where I, you know, I know what I'm gonna have to do, but I'm not ready to do that.
- 10:21SPEAKER_03: You're gonna have to Meredith marks it up.
- 10:24SPEAKER_03: I mean, yeah.
- 10:25SPEAKER_03: Yeah, she looks fantastic.
- 10:27SPEAKER_03: I did ask grandma when she got her facelift.
- 10:31SPEAKER_03: And she was 63.
- 10:34SPEAKER_03: Oh which I was like, That's coming down the pipeline, isn't it?
- 10:38SPEAKER_03: It is.
- 10:38SPEAKER_03: It she did not do a full or she did like a half.
- 10:43SPEAKER_03: I don't think she did like a left.
- 10:46SPEAKER_03: I don't think she did, I don't even remember it.
- 10:48SPEAKER_03: I don't think she did her eyes.
- 10:49SPEAKER_03: I was just gonna say I feel like she would have, although I don't know.
- 10:53SPEAKER_03: She wanted it to be the least amount possible because she didn't want it to be noticeable.
- 11:01SPEAKER_03: So I'm gonna say that I really think the person who did hers did her wrong because they should have insisted that if she was gonna go through the process.
- 11:12SPEAKER_03: Not that she had to be like, you know, um disgendered up and everything, but like she had the face flips, and I was like, hmm.
- 11:20SPEAKER_03: And like I think back then, I mean, it didn't, it looked better, but it didn't look I mean, look, for 88 But she's definitely I mean I'm not saying she should have another facelift, but she's definitely like she's got a lot because she's got such a little skinny face.
- 11:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and I don't think back then they did CO2.
- 11:41SPEAKER_03: Like they're not plumping you up, you're saying?
- 11:44SPEAKER_03: No, they're not blasting your face off, I mean.
- 11:47SPEAKER_03: Like as part of that process, I don't think that they like resurfaced her face, which I actually do think is goes a long way to giving you a new face.
- 11:58SPEAKER_01: But just like at the end of the day, if you have loose skin on your face, like how nursing it's doing it's the same thing I feel about like losing such a massive amount of weight.
- 12:06SPEAKER_01: Like, it doesn't actually matter how much weight I lose, like I'm always going to have loose skin, like it just is what it is.
- 12:13SPEAKER_01: There's nothing I can do about it, and I'm gonna have babies, so I'm not gonna deal with that until after.
- 12:18SPEAKER_03: Right, completely agree.
- 12:20SPEAKER_03: Um, final little comment before we start talking about some of our other regularly scheduled topics.
- 12:28SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 12:29SPEAKER_03: Did you hear there's a Jewish Barbie for Hanukkah this year?
- 12:33SPEAKER_03: No.
- 12:34SPEAKER_03: It's you should just look it up, look up the picture.
- 12:36SPEAKER_01: It's crazy Jewish Barbie.
- 12:39SPEAKER_01: Like, who's to say Barbie wasn't Jewish the whole time?
- 12:42SPEAKER_01: Like in the world.
- 12:43SPEAKER_03: Well, she's literally in a Hanukkah sweater.
- 12:45SPEAKER_01: But I'm just saying.
- 12:46SPEAKER_03: Well, no, I know.
- 12:47SPEAKER_03: And I think she's not in a oh my god.
- 12:51SPEAKER_03: I just they call it a holiday sweater, but she's got it.
- 12:54SPEAKER_03: I saw this crazy.
- 12:56SPEAKER_03: Oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 12:58SPEAKER_03: Okay, that's not it.
- 13:00SPEAKER_03: Look at the real one.
- 13:02SPEAKER_03: That's not it.
- 13:03SPEAKER_03: Wait, that photo's insane.
- 13:05SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna send it to you right now if I can.
- 13:08SPEAKER_03: Um no, she's in a legit Hanukkah sweater.
- 13:12SPEAKER_03: I don't even understand that photo.
- 13:14SPEAKER_03: Women can't even be wrapped into fill-in.
- 13:16SPEAKER_01: Why is that photo even in the phone?
- 13:18SPEAKER_03: I think that's I think that somebody was fucking around.
- 13:21SPEAKER_03: I don't obviously that's not real.
- 13:22SPEAKER_03: The AI overview, like on Google.
- 13:25SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 13:25SPEAKER_03: I think somebody made like, yeah, they thought that was funny.
- 13:30SPEAKER_03: Interesting.
- 13:31SPEAKER_03: And then like some people like took that and like gave her a big nose.
- 13:35SPEAKER_03: I mean, all those lovely things that people will do.
- 13:39unknown: Hmm.
- 13:39SPEAKER_03: I have no idea why they chose to do that, but I just thought it was fascinating.
- 13:44SPEAKER_03: That is a hard to come by item because you can't get them anymore, so they're like a hundred and something dollars on like eBay and whatever, two hundred dollars.
- 13:55SPEAKER_03: Crazy.
- 13:55SPEAKER_03: Isn't that funny?
- 13:57SPEAKER_03: I thought that was kind of interesting.
- 13:59SPEAKER_03: Wait, there's literally to fill in Barbie.
- 14:03SPEAKER_03: Stop.
- 14:04SPEAKER_03: I it's not real, honey.
- 14:06SPEAKER_03: It's not made by Mattel.
- 14:09SPEAKER_03: No, that's it's a custom modified collector doll.
- 14:13SPEAKER_01: That's it just doesn't even make any s whatever.
- 14:16SPEAKER_01: Regardless.
- 14:17SPEAKER_01: Interesting of Mattel.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 14:19SPEAKER_01: Jewish Barbie.
- 14:20SPEAKER_01: It took them all this time to put a girl in a fucking menorah sweater.
- 14:25SPEAKER_01: Apparently.
- 14:28SPEAKER_03: Sign of the Times.
- 14:29SPEAKER_03: I don't know what it is.
- 14:30SPEAKER_03: Why does why does she have to be second?
- 14:33SPEAKER_03: There's always been there's always been a holiday.
- 14:37SPEAKER_03: Like a Christmas Barbie, a hundred percent sure.
- 14:40SPEAKER_03: There's not even a doubt in my mind.
- 14:42SPEAKER_03: I'm just saying, like, can't Barbie just be Barbie.
- 14:45SPEAKER_03: Well Barbie let her wear posts.
- 14:47SPEAKER_03: Why are you talking about?
- 14:49SPEAKER_03: But they have to make money, so they sell more dolls.
- 14:52SPEAKER_03: With different out of the bottom.
- 14:53SPEAKER_03: So they're doing it to like check a box, you think?
- 14:56SPEAKER_03: Like, I don't know.
- 14:57SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 14:58SPEAKER_03: I didn't really do that much of a detail.
- 15:00SPEAKER_03: I probably see Hanukkah Barbie.
- 15:02SPEAKER_03: I'm sorry to Hanukkah Barbie.
- 15:04SPEAKER_03: I'm not.
- 15:05SPEAKER_03: Well, if you wanted to buy your kid a Barbie for Hanukkah, it wouldn't be good to be a good one.
- 15:09SPEAKER_03: Buy them a Barbie.
- 15:10SPEAKER_03: Well, as I think.
- 15:11SPEAKER_03: Why does it have to be this special Barbie are is like because I guess the point was there's a lot of Christmas Barbies.
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: Also, like the Barbie has like dark hair.
- 15:20SPEAKER_03: Like, I don't know, it's just very like lame.
- 15:24SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 15:26SPEAKER_03: Like the Barbie signature 2025 holiday Barbie was like in like, you know, a cream silk gown.
- 15:34SPEAKER_01: Right, and she's in plaid leggings and a fucking Hanukkah sweater.
- 15:39SPEAKER_01: Like, fuck off.
- 15:40SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 15:40SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 15:41SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 15:41SPEAKER_01: I feel you.
- 15:42SPEAKER_01: Mattel.
- 15:43SPEAKER_01: Not cool.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: You should have uh come to me.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: I would have let you know.
- 15:48SPEAKER_03: The 2026 collection.
- 15:52SPEAKER_03: Anyway, just a little comment.
- 15:54SPEAKER_03: Interesting.
- 15:56SPEAKER_03: Um, back to our scheduled programming.
- 16:00SPEAKER_03: Housewives.
- 16:01SPEAKER_03: So I watched Salt Lake this morning.
- 16:04SPEAKER_04: Mm-hmm.
- 16:05SPEAKER_01: To be honest, it was kind of like a blah of an episode.
- 16:08SPEAKER_01: Well, the bus was the episode.
- 16:10SPEAKER_01: The bus was the episode, but like there wasn't so much time spent or the trolley, whatever.
- 16:15SPEAKER_01: There wasn't like so much time spent there.
- 16:18SPEAKER_01: Like, you know what I'm saying?
- 16:20SPEAKER_01: It was kind of like giving the B team.
- 16:24SPEAKER_03: I feel like they said, first of all, I just want to say, before we even get to the trolley, Whitney has the biggest fucking mouth.
- 16:32SPEAKER_03: Now, oh my gosh, she's not going to shut the fuck up.
- 16:34SPEAKER_01: No, I agreed.
- 16:36SPEAKER_01: But like she plays it like she doesn't.
- 16:38SPEAKER_01: She's like, I didn't do so.
- 16:41SPEAKER_01: First starting.
- 16:43SPEAKER_01: Angie didn't fucking say aggressive.
- 16:47SPEAKER_01: No.
- 16:47SPEAKER_01: She said you don't need to address it.
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: Now I wish someone actually knew because to be fair, Qui, you weren't there, you don't know us.
- 16:58SPEAKER_01: You don't get to address it.
- 17:00SPEAKER_01: Like you don't get to run the show.
- 17:02SPEAKER_03: She wasn't addressing it.
- 17:03SPEAKER_03: She was just trying to defend Lisa and say, take your turn one at a time.
- 17:07SPEAKER_03: Don't bang up.
- 17:08SPEAKER_03: Which I actually thought no.
- 17:09SPEAKER_03: But like she should have sat back.
- 17:11SPEAKER_03: She should have sat back to the city.
- 17:12SPEAKER_01: This is your first, this is your first experience with everyone like that.
- 17:15SPEAKER_03: But I'm sure she's trying to, I'm sure she's trying to like make her grade too.
- 17:19SPEAKER_01: I agree, and I totally get that.
- 17:21SPEAKER_01: But I'm just saying, like, in this specific instance, like you're gonna tell these women like how to fight.
- 17:25SPEAKER_01: They're fine.
- 17:26SPEAKER_01: They're seven seasons into like the mo the top franchise, like they're good.
- 17:31SPEAKER_01: You don't need to like direct traffic.
- 17:32SPEAKER_01: We don't need a traffic cop here.
- 17:34SPEAKER_01: So Angie did not say aggressive.
- 17:36SPEAKER_01: Now I'm really upset that no one could recall exactly what she said because it would have been so great to just like set it down.
- 17:46SPEAKER_01: But yes, fast forward, Whitney, Bronwyn, and Kwai go to lunch and they're talking about or wherever they are and they're talking about this.
- 17:55SPEAKER_01: And Bronwyn is literally lying because she very much so said, Yeah, she did say that.
- 18:01SPEAKER_01: She told you not to get aggressive and to pipe down.
- 18:04SPEAKER_01: And then she's sitting on the bus being like, I didn't agree with that.
- 18:07SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 18:07SPEAKER_01: I'm like, Bronwyn.
- 18:09SPEAKER_03: But but like even reverse back.
- 18:12SPEAKER_03: Whitney was the first person to tell Angie, and then like looked at Angie like she was shocked when that Angie out at the toothbrush thing.
- 18:20SPEAKER_03: I know.
- 18:20SPEAKER_03: And I was like, Whitney, this is you're like, oh, I'm so happy.
- 18:23SPEAKER_03: My best friend's sister-in-law or whoever she is is gonna be on the show, and blah blah blah.
- 18:29SPEAKER_03: And then she like literally sold her out, and she's like, Oh, it's so hard for me because I have to manage that and like all this, and like my apology detour.
- 18:38SPEAKER_03: And I was like, Manage what, you fucking bitch.
- 18:40SPEAKER_03: You just sold your friend out within 30 seconds.
- 18:43SPEAKER_01: Like, look, if you said like I told that story, like because I thought it was funny, and like how great it is that you guys are like married, and Angie had brought that up and quiet looked at you and been like, Whitney, and Whitney was like, I was telling the story because like I thought it was fun.
- 18:57SPEAKER_01: It shows who you are, it shows who you are, blah blah blah.
- 19:00SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm sorry if I shouldn't have shared.
- 19:02SPEAKER_01: I didn't realize it was a secret, like something rather than being like, Where'd you hear that?
- 19:06SPEAKER_01: Like, Angie's like, I heard that from multiple people.
- 19:09SPEAKER_01: Like, no, you didn't, obviously.
- 19:12SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 19:13SPEAKER_03: So the whole thing was a cluster fucking coin back to Whitney.
- 19:17SPEAKER_03: Like, oh, Angie gets on the bus, here's a gift for everybody.
- 19:20SPEAKER_03: I mean, yeah, come on, Bravo.
- 19:22SPEAKER_03: You can't come up with anything funnier than that.
- 19:24SPEAKER_01: It was I think like that's why they do it.
- 19:27SPEAKER_01: Because, like, if they tried to make it blend in or convoluted or like woven in, it might seem right, it might not become a bigger moment.
- 19:39SPEAKER_01: Like they kind of want that, they need it to highlight it.
- 19:42SPEAKER_01: But they need it to be a moment, but I just think it was so which I thought, frankly, just PS.
- 19:47SPEAKER_03: The fact that Kwai was like, Yeah, I did it, whatever.
- 19:51SPEAKER_03: He thinks it's funny, he thought it was funny, yeah, and bought me jewelry.
- 19:54SPEAKER_03: Like, I thought I was like, good for you, baby.
- 19:56SPEAKER_01: I mean, look, that clearly that's whatever her relationship is.
- 20:01SPEAKER_01: And right, and I actually do think that Whitney was kind of telling the story because someone was probably talking about Kwai.
- 20:09SPEAKER_01: And Whitney's like trying to like explain who she is, like that she's this bat, like whatever, like no bullshit, like whatever, and she does it and she moves on, and she still gets the guy and she still gets the tennis knuckles or whatever.
- 20:23SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't actually think she had ill intent in sharing the story, but like you did share the story, so like I'll just say why you did it.
- 20:32SPEAKER_01: Right, right, but yeah, the the bus and Bronwyn like fully gaslighting Kwai in that she did not agree when we all, I just it's so hard sometimes when you watch Housewives because it's like you're not new to this, so you know they have you on camera.
- 20:50SPEAKER_01: So you either genuinely do not remember or you get so caught up in the moment, but like 100% this will be a moment, like at the reunion, we'll all watch Bronwyn watch herself saying it.
- 21:03SPEAKER_01: How do you not foresee that coming?
- 21:06SPEAKER_01: Right, right.
- 21:08SPEAKER_03: I mean the diabolical Diablo, eh, whatever.
- 21:11SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's so stupid, but I could have sworn I heard her say diabol, like it's it's like dumb fighting, they're not actually fighting about anything, right?
- 21:21SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 21:21SPEAKER_03: I just thought the whole thing was like, you know, although when when when Kwai looks at Whitney and it's like, no, fuck you.
- 21:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you were supposed to have my back, yeah, and you literally were like the first person to sell me.
- 21:33SPEAKER_01: And she was right, because every turn multiple times with Heather, with with the Angie thing, both right, both the settle down and the whatever, she did not have that girl's back.
- 21:45SPEAKER_01: A hundred percent.
- 21:46SPEAKER_01: And and almost went as far as the opposite of like stabbing her, right?
- 21:51SPEAKER_03: Which so I just whatever I I uh I whatever with her.
- 21:56SPEAKER_03: She's kind of driving me a little crazy, but I'm sure she's supposed to.
- 21:59SPEAKER_03: I literally want.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: Them to get rid of.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: Watch her face, Brittany.
- 22:02SPEAKER_03: I know she's so annoying, but like she's such an burger.
- 22:05SPEAKER_01: I just ignore her.
- 22:07SPEAKER_03: I know, but she serves no purpose.
- 22:08SPEAKER_03: Like, what is she doing in the airport running around kishing?
- 22:11SPEAKER_03: Like, no, I agree.
- 22:12SPEAKER_01: I was like, also like it's gotten to the point where too many people don't like her.
- 22:21SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 22:21SPEAKER_01: That it's like annoying.
- 22:23SPEAKER_01: Like, you know what I'm saying?
- 22:25SPEAKER_01: She's not like an infiltrated line.
- 22:27SPEAKER_01: Agree.
- 22:27SPEAKER_01: No, she okay, so she's not with guys.
- 22:29SPEAKER_01: Like, great.
- 22:30SPEAKER_01: Good for you.
- 22:31SPEAKER_01: She's just she shouldn't be, she's not a member of the cast, she does not mesh enough with the women to agree.
- 22:38SPEAKER_01: And she just like speaks.
- 22:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I so agreed.
- 22:42SPEAKER_03: Really?
- 22:43SPEAKER_03: The one thing I wanted to say.
- 22:44SPEAKER_03: When Angie and Mary are first, Angie's first telling Mary the story about Quash.
- 22:51SPEAKER_03: She goes, her name's Ashley.
- 22:52SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 22:53SPEAKER_03: Was that she goes, Ashley, which I thought was hilarious.
- 22:56SPEAKER_03: She was like, oh no.
- 22:57SPEAKER_03: She goes, well, she's everything like Britney.
- 22:59SPEAKER_03: Like Britney.
- 23:00SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 23:00SPEAKER_03: Which I thought was hilarious.
- 23:01SPEAKER_03: She's like.
- 23:02SPEAKER_03: And then she was saying, Well, thank you.
- 23:04SPEAKER_03: She meant to say, thank you for tainting me.
- 23:08SPEAKER_03: Like my tainting my thoughts of her now before I've gotten to know her.
- 23:11SPEAKER_03: And she said, I feel I wrote it down, so I think she said it.
- 23:15SPEAKER_03: She said, Well, thank you for tanting me.
- 23:17SPEAKER_03: I was like, wait, Mary, there's an AI in in there, not an A.
- 23:21SPEAKER_02: I wonder what she was trying to.
- 23:23SPEAKER_02: You think she's saying that?
- 23:23SPEAKER_03: I think she meant to say my idea.
- 23:27SPEAKER_03: Tainting my and she said tanting my my view or something like that.
- 23:31SPEAKER_03: Whatever.
- 23:32SPEAKER_03: Not a big deal.
- 23:32SPEAKER_03: Give Mary Grace.
- 23:34SPEAKER_03: All the grace in the world.
- 23:35SPEAKER_03: The smartest bunch.
- 23:36SPEAKER_03: She can have all the grace in the world, frankly.
- 23:42SPEAKER_03: Agreed.
- 23:44SPEAKER_03: We do have like a I have a fun game to play at the end, but we are gonna spend a few minutes on Cornell.
- 23:51SPEAKER_03: Because I feel like I can't, I don't know.
- 23:55SPEAKER_03: I just can't not.
- 23:56SPEAKER_03: I mean, look, I will be completely honest.
- 23:59SPEAKER_03: I am way down the rabbit hole, completely immersed, completely obsessed.
- 24:08SPEAKER_03: I can't, like, I need to almost like I almost felt like like physically pummeled by all the stuff that happened this last week.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:18SPEAKER_03: Um, and I just our system is fucked.
- 24:22SPEAKER_03: That is literally my takeaway in so many different ways.
- 24:25SPEAKER_03: And our system fails women over and over again.
- 24:30SPEAKER_03: And I I just I don't I don't actually, which is the depressing part is I don't actually ever see it changing.
- 24:38SPEAKER_01: Well, it was so interesting because we were walking last night and we were kind of we were like loosely talking, like we weren't getting into like such a conversation about it, but my father-in-law Pete was like so shocked by the ketamine.
- 24:51SPEAKER_03: And I was like, I am too, because I know that's not something I'm familiar with.
- 24:55SPEAKER_03: I mean, if you had told me tons of cocaine, whatever, I would not have like blinked an eye.
- 25:00SPEAKER_03: Peter and I were Peter and I were both.
- 25:03SPEAKER_01: That's not shocking at all.
- 25:05SPEAKER_01: And I was saying, you know, like I person on a personal level know people who have been drugged at parties.
- 25:13SPEAKER_01: People, Peter knows people on a person, like, no part of the elements of the story.
- 25:20SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's terrible and horrible and disgusting, but like I hear the story and I'm not like, there's no way that's what happened.
- 25:28SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I'm saying?
- 25:29SPEAKER_01: And like that is what's so crazy to me.
- 25:31SPEAKER_03: Like that is what's so horrifying.
- 25:33SPEAKER_03: We have not even like we haven't we're supposed to be like raising better men.
- 25:38SPEAKER_03: I know.
- 25:39SPEAKER_01: We had this conversation a couple weeks ago, whenever I don't think it was even about the good golf thing, it was about something else.
- 25:46SPEAKER_01: And we were just talking about like, is it is it the impetus on women to like be on guard, or should we be, and unfortunately, yes, history shows us that women need to be alert, be, you know, have their wits about them at all times because bad things can happen to them, but also like we should be raising boys.
- 26:09SPEAKER_01: But here's the thing like I look at those seven guys, you think their parents like thought that's who they were raising?
- 26:16SPEAKER_01: Like, I sincerely hope not.
- 26:18SPEAKER_01: I sincerely hope these women are like, or these parents and moms of these boys are like, where the what happened here?
- 26:26SPEAKER_01: Because I was raising a good boy.
- 26:29SPEAKER_01: Like, I I want to believe that people think that they're doing that.
- 26:33SPEAKER_01: Now it's impossible to know where they misstep, like where they took a misstep and how this happened.
- 26:41SPEAKER_03: I just think nobody thinks they're raising boys like that.
- 26:43SPEAKER_03: And in the culture of our country, world, male.
- 26:47SPEAKER_03: I mean, they said, you know, 35% of women on Cornell's campus, I'm not saying rape, have been like have not like reported to police, have reported being the victim of some sort of sexual assault.
- 27:03SPEAKER_03: 25% nationwide across the country on college campuses.
- 27:08SPEAKER_03: So that's and that's like a I I told somebody who could mark it down to have to think about how many people are not saying anything.
- 27:16SPEAKER_03: I mean, look, and I don't want to get into like a deep dive on like my college pass, but I have was a hundred percent in situations that I should not whatever.
- 27:25SPEAKER_03: I put like this is me like now blaming myself.
- 27:28SPEAKER_03: I put myself in, I shouldn't have been in.
- 27:29SPEAKER_01: Well, it's part of the conversation because look at this girl.
- 27:32SPEAKER_01: I mean, like, I'm obviously there's no defense of what happened to her, but like, you know, these text messages that people feel like are like exonerating these boys from what they did because she showed interest and she wanted to party and she wanted to do like it's it's it has to be part of the conversation.
- 27:53SPEAKER_01: You put yourself in it, right?
- 27:56SPEAKER_01: Quote unquote for listeners.
- 27:57SPEAKER_01: I'm not actually saying that you did, but that does become part of the conversation.
- 28:02SPEAKER_01: It shouldn't, but it is in our world because it's like that's why I'm saying, like, we have decided that it's it's the responsibility of women not to get themselves raped.
- 28:13SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 28:13SPEAKER_03: And how fucked up is that?
- 28:14SPEAKER_03: What meanwhile, like, we're having this conversation yesterday at lunch with grandmom and we were talking about it, and she looks at me and she goes, Well, do you believe her?
- 28:22SPEAKER_03: And I was like, Mom, mom!
- 28:24SPEAKER_01: I will say though, I do feel, and every action taken by the university was completely wrong.
- 28:32SPEAKER_01: But I one thing that I will say where I can tell that we have made strides as a society, is that is very obviously not the overwhelming rhetoric around this is do you believe her?
- 28:45SPEAKER_01: At least that's not my understanding.
- 28:47SPEAKER_03: That's not what we hear, although I do think in some circles it's like, oh, come on, what did you expect?
- 28:52SPEAKER_03: Like you went and you got fucked up at a, you know, with a like you went to a fret late at night looking to get fucked up and party.
- 28:58SPEAKER_03: What do you expect?
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, it is one of those situations where it is impossible to.
- 29:15SPEAKER_01: I mean, we can look at everything that happened there now and have feelings about every single step.
- 29:21SPEAKER_01: Obviously, like hindsight, all those things.
- 29:24SPEAKER_01: We can analyze every single thing.
- 29:26SPEAKER_01: But at the end of the day, like the very cut and dry of it is that a girl was raped by multiple people multiple times in one event, and the boys had to write an essay for it to be okay.
- 29:37SPEAKER_03: I mean, I will say to be to keep the record completely accurate, I did read this morning what each specific guy got as far as their punishment.
- 29:47SPEAKER_03: So two boys, the two original guys, got expelled.
- 29:52SPEAKER_01: But like no one was arrested.
- 29:54SPEAKER_03: No, 100%.
- 29:55SPEAKER_03: I'm not dying.
- 29:56SPEAKER_03: And I'm insane.
- 29:58SPEAKER_03: Two of them were expelled.
- 29:59SPEAKER_03: One guy had graduated, so they just barred him permanently from campus.
- 30:05SPEAKER_01: Like strip him of his degree, like do so like well, arrest them all, but that's besides the point.
- 30:11SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 30:12SPEAKER_03: Two boys were, I keep on saying boys, and I don't want to say that because it it makes them seem less responsible for their actions.
- 30:18SPEAKER_03: And I don't want to say that two men, two guys, two of these people.
- 30:23SPEAKER_03: Um, but men is a compliment, it almost feels like a compliment.
- 30:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I don't even know what to call these two of these disgusting people uh were suspended for varying periods of time for like a semester, a couple semesters, whatever, and then had to do some sort of training, etc.
- 30:42SPEAKER_03: And then like two other guys had to like do training and like write an essay on the reflective essay.
- 30:49SPEAKER_03: I mean, I am not in any way saying any of that was sufficient at all, at all, at all.
- 30:55SPEAKER_03: I mean, and in part that I mean I don't understand how they're not all immediately expelled just based on the drug and alcohol use.
- 31:02SPEAKER_03: I guess some of them they couldn't prove that all of them have been doing the ketamine.
- 31:06SPEAKER_03: I think, but and I don't know if the reason why the two worked were was because of the ketamine.
- 31:13SPEAKER_01: I mean, that's it's an illegal drug.
- 31:15SPEAKER_01: I know, but like I'm I'm sure kids get caught for cocaine on college campuses and they don't get arrested.
- 31:21SPEAKER_03: But expelled.
- 31:24SPEAKER_03: They don't get expelled either.
- 31:25SPEAKER_03: Violates the code of conduct.
- 31:27SPEAKER_03: I'm sure it does.
- 31:27SPEAKER_03: I'm sure Cornell is a code of conduct.
- 31:29SPEAKER_01: I mean and and to even just the fact that like okay, like we're focusing on the like the drug use was even remotely talked about, it almost feels excusing.
- 31:42SPEAKER_01: Like it feels like we're like, oh, they were on drugs.
- 31:44SPEAKER_01: Oh, they were drunk.
- 31:45unknown: Right.
- 31:46SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 31:47SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 31:48SPEAKER_01: Like I actually don't care.
- 31:50SPEAKER_03: So I saw this, and I don't know if it's true, and this was like the part that like even I just the whole thing just makes me not hardly sadly.
- 32:01SPEAKER_03: I know.
- 32:01SPEAKER_03: I have to like pull myself a little bit out because I was like completely consumed, and I actually found myself arguing with Mark a lot.
- 32:08SPEAKER_03: This not arguing, but getting like his, you know, I'm not he I'm not saying he's like, oh, whatever.
- 32:15SPEAKER_03: He's not at all.
- 32:17SPEAKER_03: He's completely horrified and upset.
- 32:19SPEAKER_03: But I I feel like, and this of course is probably the way it is, is like women are, you know, anybody who's spending focusing on this is they're they're agonized.
- 32:32SPEAKER_03: They're they're they're they're they're just they're it they're heartbroken.
- 32:36SPEAKER_03: I mean, they're sick.
- 32:37SPEAKER_03: And I'm not saying that men aren't upset and like, oh my God, that's horrible.
- 32:41SPEAKER_03: It's because of fear that they can't feel.
- 32:44SPEAKER_01: It's because of the people.
- 32:45SPEAKER_01: But they never fear that they will yeah, I know.
- 32:47SPEAKER_03: There it's not a relative, right, and feel worried that like maybe, oh, did that guy look weird?
- 32:53SPEAKER_03: Yep, it's not a relatable.
- 32:55SPEAKER_03: It's not even that, you know, they won't ever have to like check themselves and think, oh, like if I go back, you know, if I invite this guy back, is like that smart?
- 33:03SPEAKER_03: Am I gonna get hurt?
- 33:04SPEAKER_03: Like, that's not they don't ever have to think about that.
- 33:06SPEAKER_01: Right, which is why, like at a certain level, it's it's not the same, obviously, but it's like similar to stories that you hear about like women having like horrible pregnancies or you know, these things that men literally, as much as they want to empathize with, the good ones at least, they can they do not have a relatability to it.
- 33:29SPEAKER_01: It's a fear that they will never know.
- 33:32SPEAKER_01: It's it's not a situation like they can start, but it's still there's like a detachment there.
- 33:38SPEAKER_01: And I'm not saying that Mark doesn't understand that there's a that not even that it's horrible, obviously, but I'm saying like he doesn't understand that there is a fear there.
- 33:49SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying he can't actually relate to it and feel it, and I'm sure that that's the case for a lot of men.
- 33:54SPEAKER_01: So they don't they cannot get in the depths of that with women because it's not something that they can relate to.
- 34:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, I agree with that.
- 34:03SPEAKER_03: This one thing I saw, and I don't know, I just saw it, I don't know how true it is.
- 34:08SPEAKER_03: Somebody was reading a text from his goddaughter, and again, I don't know this person, so I can't like verify any of it.
- 34:16SPEAKER_03: And the goddaughter is at a different college campus and was basically telling the story that she was at, she and her friends were at uh you know their like guy friend's house one night, and it's in the last week or so, and at some point the guys ended up on like the balcony, and she basically made the point that like this was like not the cool frat house.
- 34:38SPEAKER_03: These are like theater, like kind of theater nerd kind of no disrespect to the theater people, theater nerd people.
- 34:44SPEAKER_03: Um, like kind of like these are like the safe boys, the nice boys, the nice boys, and her and her friends are sitting, like I don't know where they were, they were below, like on the floor below the guys.
- 35:02SPEAKER_03: The guys, for whatever reason, were talking, maybe outside on a balcony, did not think, we're not we're unaware the girls could hear them talking.
- 35:11SPEAKER_03: And like one guy was like, Oh my gosh, you know, you know, whatever.
- 35:16SPEAKER_03: Did you hear what happened at that, you know, Kai Pie?
- 35:19SPEAKER_03: How crazy?
- 35:20SPEAKER_03: And basically, like the other guy was like, Yeah, we figure out we gotta figure out how to get us some of that before we graduate.
- 35:29SPEAKER_03: Now, I don't I can't verify the veracity of that statement, but even I feel like that's even like do boys, guys, I keep on saying boys, I don't want to say that.
- 35:39SPEAKER_03: Does everybody feel like they have to like play along to get along?
- 35:41SPEAKER_03: And like even if they don't like act like an asshole, like act like a piece of shit because that's what's cool.
- 35:47SPEAKER_01: I think a really I think insecure people in general, so insecure males in this case, do feel that way.
- 35:56SPEAKER_01: And it's like you have to talk to talk in a demeaning way, and it's so gross, so crazy, but like this is such a crazy like pull, but I'm just gonna make the example because it came to my mind.
- 36:10SPEAKER_01: In She's the Man, Amanda Bynes is like trying to be.
- 36:14SPEAKER_03: I love the reference in your favorite movie ever.
- 36:15SPEAKER_01: Perfect.
- 36:16SPEAKER_01: Of course.
- 36:17SPEAKER_01: Amanda Bynes is like being her brother, if you guys don't know that.
- 36:20SPEAKER_01: She's like trying to pass as a boy, and she's talking to Channing Tatum, and they're like whatever, and she gets like a little bit um, she like leans a little bit emotional, which in this character sense would give her away as a woman.
- 36:34SPEAKER_01: So she like switches tune to try to like be more of a guy and goes, I mean, which one would you rather see naked?
- 36:41SPEAKER_01: And it's like such a moment where you see like this duality of how a woman would ask a question about which girl a boy liked more, and how a man would ask a question.
- 36:53SPEAKER_01: It's so silly and it's such like a quick whatever, and I'm sure they didn't mean to make like a social commentary with it, but it really is such a social commentary.
- 37:01SPEAKER_01: Like we think of men as being derogatory, and I mean, this is a gross generalization, and luckily not the men that I personally choose to surround myself with.
- 37:12SPEAKER_01: But when boys get around boys, they think it's cool to like locker room, it's locker room talk, and that's what I mean.
- 37:20SPEAKER_01: Look at our president, right?
- 37:22SPEAKER_03: Look at that's right.
- 37:23SPEAKER_01: I mean, right, no surprise we already're the leader of the free world, and that's how he talks about women.
- 37:30unknown: Right.
- 37:31SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's like no wonder these things are happening, and these boys feel like they should say things like that.
- 37:36SPEAKER_01: The man running the country says things like that, right?
- 37:40SPEAKER_01: So we have not as a society, as a country, as a people, as a human race, made it clear enough to the male species that that acting like that towards women is not okay.
- 37:54SPEAKER_01: Like it's not like a oh, it's better if you don't.
- 37:58SPEAKER_01: It's like it's not okay, period, full stop.
- 38:02SPEAKER_01: Somehow we have gone as long as we have gone without making that clear.
- 38:07SPEAKER_01: And I just feel like we've almost regressed.
- 38:10SPEAKER_01: Women can't make that clear to men.
- 38:13SPEAKER_01: It cannot be on us to make that clear to men.
- 38:16SPEAKER_01: Men need to make that clear to men.
- 38:18SPEAKER_03: Well, right, but who's who's doing that?
- 38:20SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 38:21SPEAKER_01: Like I said, and look at who the leader of the free world is.
- 38:23SPEAKER_01: Like the world that we live in right now, that's not the male priority.
- 38:30SPEAKER_03: No, it's not.
- 38:31SPEAKER_03: I mean, if anything, I feel like it's like the opposite.
- 38:33SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 38:34SPEAKER_03: It's like, you know, objectify women, keep them in their place.
- 38:38SPEAKER_03: And I I just I'm at this point where I am it it just it's really it's very depressing to me.
- 38:45SPEAKER_03: It's incredibly upsetting.
- 38:47SPEAKER_03: It's really the whole, I mean, I feel for this this woman who's had her life destroyed.
- 38:53SPEAKER_03: Destroyed.
- 38:54SPEAKER_03: Now twice right.
- 38:56SPEAKER_03: But it also, I mean, this is gonna be I I can't imagine what I mean.
- 39:02SPEAKER_03: I give her so she the the courage to bring that lawsuit.
- 39:07SPEAKER_03: I know when there is, I am sure, a part of her that just wanted to go high, crawl away, and just try to heal from this horrifying experience and not have to relive it all.
- 39:21unknown: Yeah.
- 39:21SPEAKER_03: But she's going to have to relive it all.
- 39:23SPEAKER_01: I'm not saying like, oh, she wasn't reliving it every day with all of all of the media coverage and the commentary and the people like us talking about it.
- 39:32SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm not saying she's gonna listen to this, I'm just saying, like, she decided to make this public.
- 39:36SPEAKER_01: So she decided that her life and the worst day of her entire life was discourse for everyone in the world.
- 39:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 39:46unknown: Yeah.
- 39:47SPEAKER_01: And she did that because of she clearly felt she saw purpose in what happened to her and in trying to seek justice, which is probably the most courageous thing that you could do is have something like that happen to you and then use it for good or try.
- 40:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 40:06SPEAKER_03: No, I mean, I I hope, I hope she gets some sort of justice.
- 40:11SPEAKER_03: Um, I I mean, I know look, she's got a civil suit against Cornell.
- 40:14SPEAKER_03: They're gonna obviously settle that case and pay her shit on a month of money.
- 40:18SPEAKER_03: And you know what?
- 40:19SPEAKER_01: At least she'll have that, like at least bringing this suit.
- 40:23SPEAKER_01: I don't know if she's gonna get everything that she probably wants out of the I I obviously hope that she does, but I'm just saying, I'm sure.
- 40:31SPEAKER_03: New York, I mean, Pennsylvania's the same too.
- 40:33SPEAKER_03: I mean, we talked about this briefly last night.
- 40:35SPEAKER_03: There are 19 states in the country that if you are, if you are voluntarily intoxicated, you cannot use your own intoxication as a as saying you didn't you didn't have the capacity to consent.
- 40:51SPEAKER_03: And New York is is obviously that was the reason why ostensibly originally the DA said, oh, I can't press charges because she's saying she was too wasted to consent, but she voluntarily, you'd have to like basically prove that she was like roofied or something like that, or like forcibly, you know, forced to do drugs.
- 41:12SPEAKER_03: Fucked backwards with that laws.
- 41:16SPEAKER_03: Right, 19 states.
- 41:17SPEAKER_03: So who's gonna change that?
- 41:19SPEAKER_03: I'm not surprised that Pennsylvania's on that list, but I am surprised that New York is.
- 41:22SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 41:23SPEAKER_03: Well, apparently they've been trying to um advocates um have been trying to change that law for years in New York and elsewhere, I am sure.
- 41:33SPEAKER_03: And it always, oh, surprisingly, doesn't pass by a bunch of probably majority of men in whatever state Congress.
- 41:42SPEAKER_03: I mean, the only thing that I can hope out of this is that there is enough of a cry for action out of this that people reconsider their legislation and put that up as a first priority to change that law.
- 41:58SPEAKER_03: Because the idea that you can be like, unless you are physically unconscious, you can't get raped is fucking insane.
- 42:08SPEAKER_01: Or you have to blow a zero-zero on a break, like it's disgusting.
- 42:13SPEAKER_03: Right, right.
- 42:14SPEAKER_03: Or you you're either you have to either be completely sober, tied, you know, tied down, restrained, or unconscious.
- 42:21SPEAKER_03: That's how you can be raped, but anything in between is not.
- 42:25SPEAKER_03: Or anything in between, they just can't prove that you didn't want it.
- 42:28SPEAKER_03: I mean, it's like disgusting.
- 42:31SPEAKER_03: I I was completely unaware of that initially.
- 42:34SPEAKER_03: And I mean, look, bottom line, she was assaulted, because uh assaulted is like simple assault, is unwanted touching.
- 42:41SPEAKER_03: So at a minimum, even when the DA was like, oh, I can't prove prove wave in New York.
- 42:46SPEAKER_03: He may have brought charges.
- 42:48SPEAKER_03: Ultimately, maybe he, I mean, look, he should have investigated further, obviously, to find out at what point was she not conscious, like all of those things.
- 42:55SPEAKER_03: There's thousands of pages of testimony that he did not avail himself of.
- 43:00SPEAKER_03: But at a minimum, even if he had ultimately said, this is a horrible situation, and I am constrained by the laws of New York, and I am unable to bring a rape case against these people because of this law.
- 43:14SPEAKER_03: Even assume that as the truth, you know, that is the where we start.
- 43:19SPEAKER_03: There she there, she had bruising, she was hit, that she had people touching her without her consent.
- 43:27SPEAKER_03: I mean, even under whatever they said that was initially released, oh yeah, somebody would grope me and I would push that.
- 43:34SPEAKER_03: That's still an assault.
- 43:35SPEAKER_03: I mean, it's like, you know, in New Jersey when um what's her name grabs Danielle's hair and pulls her extension out.
- 43:43SPEAKER_03: Yeah, she files an assault charge against her.
- 43:46SPEAKER_03: It's simple assault.
- 43:47SPEAKER_03: I mean, that just grabbing somebody without their consent is assault.
- 43:50SPEAKER_03: So go bring a case of assault against these guys.
- 43:54SPEAKER_03: Right, like do some sort of thing.
- 43:54SPEAKER_03: Even if you don't think you do something.
- 43:58SPEAKER_03: But it's easy to wash your hands.
- 44:00SPEAKER_03: I can't, eh?
- 44:01SPEAKER_03: I can't do it.
- 44:02SPEAKER_03: I mean, I think that guy is in some serious trouble.
- 44:04SPEAKER_03: He is, uh, I don't, I don't think his tenure is going to be very long at the Tompkins, Comp, Tompkins County DA office.
- 44:11SPEAKER_03: And I mean, Cornell has had problems for years.
- 44:15SPEAKER_03: And it's so funny because I made a comment to Mark, and he's so right.
- 44:20SPEAKER_03: I was like, I don't know it.
- 44:21SPEAKER_03: Like, it's Cornell.
- 44:22SPEAKER_03: I mean, it's like this esteemed Ivy League institution where like you fight like hell to get into.
- 44:28SPEAKER_03: Like, you have to be really friggin' smart.
- 44:31SPEAKER_03: And then, and I said, like, I'm thinking like it's like, you know, some big football party school.
- 44:37SPEAKER_03: That's where it's gonna.
- 44:39SPEAKER_03: And he said, Yeah, the problem is those boys at Cornell and places like that, they've been going to prep schools their whole life, and they have been like handed the keys to the castle.
- 44:50SPEAKER_03: Like, you're gonna be the masters of the universe.
- 44:53SPEAKER_03: And as a result, you think you're I also don't think it matters.
- 44:59SPEAKER_01: Whisco, Cornell, Penn, but it does seem to happen at though I don't think.
- 45:04SPEAKER_03: Well, first of all, they're all well that's not you do.
- 45:06SPEAKER_01: It's like that whole thing with LSU that just came out with terrible everywhere because and that has to do with men.
- 45:13SPEAKER_01: That has nothing to do with how smart you are or where you go to college.
- 45:15SPEAKER_01: You're right.
- 45:16SPEAKER_03: But I guess I think in my head, like these are, you know, I don't know.
- 45:21SPEAKER_03: That's a stupid thing for me to say, and I it's checked on my mind.
- 45:24SPEAKER_03: But it's it's well, that's my you know, elite, like, oh, if you're smart, you should know better.
- 45:30SPEAKER_03: It's like it's like which is the only way to say, yeah, right.
- 45:34SPEAKER_03: Not true.
- 45:35SPEAKER_03: And that's I've now learned that lesson.
- 45:37SPEAKER_01: Rich Ivy League kids are gross, disgusting.
- 45:42SPEAKER_01: Like, yeah.
- 45:43SPEAKER_01: I mean, not all of them.
- 45:45SPEAKER_03: Not all of them.
- 45:46SPEAKER_03: Let's not say that.
- 45:46SPEAKER_03: We may know a few.
- 45:48SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying, like, you know, it's not at all surprising to me that this is our Cornell.
- 45:53SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 45:54SPEAKER_03: No, I know.
- 45:54SPEAKER_03: I just like I said it, and then he was like, what are you talking about?
- 45:56SPEAKER_03: And then I thought, oh yeah, that that makes sense.
- 45:59SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 46:00SPEAKER_03: I mean, it's just oh, more to come on the Cornell situation, hopefully.
- 46:06SPEAKER_03: That and you know, moving to it.
- 46:08SPEAKER_03: We won't talk about it.
- 46:09SPEAKER_03: It's just I just have to mention how fucking insane it is that botched execution in Tennessee.
- 46:13unknown: Oh my god.
- 46:15SPEAKER_03: She's like in a coma.
- 46:16SPEAKER_01: Like she didn't actually the way it was presented to me.
- 46:18SPEAKER_01: They made it sound like she was sleeping.
- 46:20SPEAKER_01: They made it sound like she was like alive, like gonna get up and run.
- 46:23SPEAKER_01: Like they just they just like tortured the poor woman and and she's hanging on for their life.
- 46:28SPEAKER_03: Uh you know, cruel and unusual punishment.
- 46:30SPEAKER_03: I would say she's hanging on.
- 46:30SPEAKER_01: I saw that they were trying to like repeal the death penalty and get her life in prison.
- 46:35SPEAKER_01: Like, she's dead.
- 46:36SPEAKER_01: Well, who knows?
- 46:37SPEAKER_03: I mean, I don't know if she's gonna come out of like she could like pulled out of the coma.
- 46:40SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 46:41SPEAKER_01: It doesn't seem like no brain activity.
- 46:43SPEAKER_01: Like it's a good thing.
- 46:44SPEAKER_03: I don't know that the answer.
- 46:45SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 46:46SPEAKER_01: Like, oh, yay, she survived the lethal injection by the sheer fact that she has an actual pulse, but like she'll be on a ventilator for the rest of her life.
- 46:55SPEAKER_01: Like I don't I don't know.
- 46:56SPEAKER_01: I just think the way that the story blew up, and this is the second time this has happened in history.
- 47:01SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 47:01SPEAKER_03: Yes, the way in the last year in Tennessee, it's a second time it's happened.
- 47:06SPEAKER_03: Well, they whoever's doing their lethal injection, like, should probably Well, the problem is no one wants to do it because people find out that you're like the doctor who does the lethal injection and shit.
- 47:19SPEAKER_03: So it's something you can imagine like randomly person to do it.
- 47:23SPEAKER_03: And there's a death penalty in Pennsylvania.
- 47:25SPEAKER_03: But they also don't, I don't can't remember the last time they did an execution though here.
- 47:30SPEAKER_03: They don't but you're saying they don't chart, like they don't give people they don't actually go through with it.
- 47:36SPEAKER_03: And and Tennessee, I think, is sort of famous for doing it, knocking them out, which whatever.
- 47:41SPEAKER_03: Apparently it's not working so well for them.
- 47:43SPEAKER_03: I mean, look, it's horrible.
- 47:44SPEAKER_03: I did a I did a death penalty clinical when I was at law school, and we won't even go down that road, but like studying whatever the prejudice, bias, inequality, and the way that is handed out.
- 47:56SPEAKER_03: We should I in the fact that it's I think it's just is like horrific and should I should never happen anywhere.
- 48:04SPEAKER_03: Put somebody in life in prison without parole.
- 48:06SPEAKER_03: I don't care.
- 48:07SPEAKER_03: And I realize people are like, oh, it's gonna cost so much money.
- 48:10SPEAKER_03: That's tough shit.
- 48:10SPEAKER_03: Figure out a better prison system.
- 48:12SPEAKER_03: I mean, I don't know what to tell you, but you we shouldn't be killing people as part of their punishment.
- 48:17SPEAKER_03: Like, who are we as like as a as a nation if that's what we do?
- 48:20SPEAKER_01: But we don't need to get into our political.
- 48:24SPEAKER_03: We're not gonna go there.
- 48:25SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 48:26SPEAKER_03: But it is like they can so they can't get good doctors, and then somebody was also saying, I don't know if this is true, none of the major pharmaceutical companies will manufacture whatever that drug to the lethal injection.
- 48:42SPEAKER_03: So they have to get it from like compounding companies who are willing to do that.
- 48:47SPEAKER_01: And it's like so.
- 48:48SPEAKER_01: Basically, the entire scenario is like sourced from the black market, and no wonder they fucked it up.
- 48:54SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 48:55SPEAKER_03: It's insane.
- 48:57SPEAKER_03: Insane.
- 48:58SPEAKER_03: That was my light note, no.
- 49:02SPEAKER_03: Like, what kind of fucking crazy ass world are we living in right now?
- 49:06SPEAKER_03: That's all I can say about it.
- 49:08SPEAKER_03: It's literally our world is nuts.
- 49:11SPEAKER_03: It is that.
- 49:12SPEAKER_03: Um, on a lighter note, to close out our episode, okay.
- 49:16SPEAKER_03: I thought we could play a fun game.
- 49:18SPEAKER_03: I love a fun game.
- 49:20SPEAKER_03: Um, I have questions.
- 49:22SPEAKER_03: I and I did them really quickly, so I actually truly have not spent a lot of time um thinking that that would come up because when I asked Leah if she would if when I asked you, Leah, I'm speaking into you in the third person or however.
- 49:35SPEAKER_03: Whatever.
- 49:35SPEAKER_03: When you asked me.
- 49:37SPEAKER_03: When I asked you whether you wanted, I wanted you wanted the questions in advance or you wanted to be surprised, you said no, surprise me.
- 49:43SPEAKER_03: Correct.
- 49:44SPEAKER_03: So you are surprised.
- 49:45SPEAKER_03: I actually I you know feel certain questions.
- 49:48SPEAKER_03: So I feel surprised too in a certain way, because I haven't really thought about them since I wrote them down.
- 49:52SPEAKER_03: I didn't start to like think about it.
- 49:54SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 49:55SPEAKER_03: So you're ready?
- 49:56SPEAKER_03: You want to play?
- 49:58SPEAKER_03: I do.
- 50:00SPEAKER_03: Some of them are good, I think.
- 50:01SPEAKER_03: Is it like rapid fire?
- 50:03SPEAKER_03: Or am I we don't have to like get it?
- 50:05SPEAKER_03: No, it's like yes, it's like you know, quick one word, whatever.
- 50:08SPEAKER_03: If you had a theme song to your life, what would it be?
- 50:12SPEAKER_02: Mom.
- 50:13SPEAKER_03: What?
- 50:19SPEAKER_03: I came up with one very quickly, and it for me.
- 50:22SPEAKER_03: Okay, and it's which popped into my head, which sounds like very martyrish, but so I'm not being like a martyr, and I'm not like don't take please don't take it too seriously.
- 50:30SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 50:31SPEAKER_03: I will survive by Gloria Gainer.
- 50:34SPEAKER_03: That's funny.
- 50:34SPEAKER_03: Okay, I like that.
- 50:36SPEAKER_03: I think mine is just because of the shit that's happened in my life.
- 50:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 50:42SPEAKER_01: So I'm assuming you thought about this one a little bit.
- 50:44SPEAKER_03: That was really the only, it popped into my head.
- 50:46SPEAKER_03: I was like, that will be a good answer.
- 50:48SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 50:48SPEAKER_03: So I don't want to say that.
- 50:49SPEAKER_03: Let me think of the song.
- 50:50SPEAKER_03: You're gonna come back to that one?
- 50:52SPEAKER_03: Okay, this is another good question.
- 50:54SPEAKER_03: If you had this is tough.
- 50:57SPEAKER_03: Oh.
- 50:58SPEAKER_03: If you had to listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?
- 51:04SPEAKER_01: Fortunately for me, this is not tough.
- 51:07SPEAKER_01: I know it's gonna be a Beyonce album.
- 51:09SPEAKER_01: It is homecoming.
- 51:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 51:12SPEAKER_01: I mean, I could listen to that all day, every single day, no matter what.
- 51:18SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 51:19SPEAKER_01: I really could.
- 51:20SPEAKER_03: Thank you, Beyonce.
- 51:21SPEAKER_03: Happily.
- 51:22SPEAKER_03: I struggled.
- 51:24SPEAKER_03: Okay, and the first thing that came to my mind you thought about this question.
- 51:28SPEAKER_03: Well, it did pop, I can't help but like I didn't think about it for a long time.
- 51:32SPEAKER_03: I tried really not to.
- 51:33SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 51:34SPEAKER_03: Go.
- 51:35SPEAKER_03: Was um Jackson Brown late for the sky.
- 51:38SPEAKER_03: Just because no matter what, when I put it on, it's just perfect.
- 51:43SPEAKER_03: It's just music to your ears.
- 51:45SPEAKER_03: I feel like I would never get tired of it.
- 51:48SPEAKER_03: That's really good.
- 51:50SPEAKER_01: Jackson Brown, just like in general.
- 51:52SPEAKER_01: Like you can't really go wrong.
- 51:54SPEAKER_01: It'll never, you know.
- 51:56SPEAKER_03: That that smooths me in a way.
- 52:00SPEAKER_03: I just love it so, so, so, so, so so much.
- 52:02SPEAKER_03: And it's funny because I don't really listen to it very often.
- 52:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 52:05SPEAKER_03: Because I'm busy listening to like lure mu newer music, and then when I put it on, I'm just ugly gets me.
- 52:12SPEAKER_03: Fantastic.
- 52:12SPEAKER_03: I love that.
- 52:13SPEAKER_03: Gets me.
- 52:14SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 52:15SPEAKER_03: Um, this if I this is funny.
- 52:18SPEAKER_03: I don't know what my answer is gonna be.
- 52:19SPEAKER_03: If I could eat one meal with no I if I could eat one meal or one food with no calories, what would it be?
- 52:28SPEAKER_03: I don't mean one singular, I mean a thing and have it be we are just erasing the calories from it forever in a day.
- 52:34SPEAKER_00: Cake.
- 52:35SPEAKER_00: I that's what I thought you would say.
- 52:37SPEAKER_00: 100%, not even a question.
- 52:44SPEAKER_03: I know it's so funny because I go back and forth between cheese and cookies and pita chips, which is so pathetic.
- 52:51SPEAKER_03: Pita chips is funny.
- 52:53SPEAKER_01: I love on the pita chip though.
- 52:55SPEAKER_01: Like Snyder's pretzels, too, like does come to mind.
- 52:59SPEAKER_01: But like to me, I'm like, okay, you eat them.
- 53:02SPEAKER_01: Like, and if you if you gorged a little bit on pita chips, like you'd be fine.
- 53:05SPEAKER_01: Like, if I could eat as much cake in the world as I wanted, like right, but don't you think if you did you'd get sick of it eventually?
- 53:12SPEAKER_03: No.
- 53:14SPEAKER_03: I always wonder if I had worked, like, not that I'm such a good one.
- 53:17SPEAKER_03: You can do something like in a chocolate chop if I would get sick of chocolate.
- 53:19SPEAKER_01: I don't think you get sick of it.
- 53:21SPEAKER_01: I maybe like your desensitive, but still, even even if I didn't want it every day, whenever I did want it, it would be nice if it had no calories.
- 53:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 53:29SPEAKER_03: Maybe regular MMs would be a good thing to have no calories.
- 53:32SPEAKER_01: Oh, chocolate in general is a great answer.
- 53:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 53:35SPEAKER_03: So um, if I had to spend$10,000 tomorrow on myself, I would.
- 53:44SPEAKER_03: Are you asking what I would buy?
- 53:45SPEAKER_03: What would you do with the$10,000?
- 53:48SPEAKER_03: Buy or do?
- 53:52SPEAKER_01: Like, am I supposed to be practical about it?
- 53:54SPEAKER_03: No, it's$10,000.
- 53:56SPEAKER_03: I'm saying you must go spend$10,000 tomorrow.
- 53:59SPEAKER_03: Don't go like new windows or something.
- 54:01SPEAKER_01: No, I'm like, there are some things around the house I could do.
- 54:04SPEAKER_01: Um, I would probably go to Japan.
- 54:20SPEAKER_03: It wouldn't cover the whole thing.
- 54:22SPEAKER_03: I was gonna say that wouldn't get you very far.
- 54:24SPEAKER_03: But maybe the flights.
- 54:25SPEAKER_03: It's first class to Japan.
- 54:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I probably should have said, like, I I I get that the the vacation.
- 54:31SPEAKER_03: I was because I was.
- 54:32SPEAKER_03: You mean like an item?
- 54:34SPEAKER_03: An item or a thing.
- 54:35SPEAKER_03: I was gonna say like I would like go get a facelift.
- 54:38SPEAKER_03: Oh, which wouldn't be great, but ten thousand dollars wouldn't or get some sort of cosmetic process.
- 54:43SPEAKER_03: Anything would go towards it.
- 54:45SPEAKER_03: Cosmetic procedure.
- 54:46SPEAKER_03: I think I would probably buy the line to get somewhere.
- 54:50SPEAKER_03: Yes, yeah, that's a that's a good answer.
- 54:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's bad.
- 54:52SPEAKER_03: I have to get over it.
- 54:54SPEAKER_03: Um my most irrational fear is I can say mine because mine never changes if you have to think about it for a second.
- 55:08SPEAKER_03: Okay, what's yours?
- 55:09SPEAKER_03: Um, an escalator.
- 55:10SPEAKER_03: I hate getting on escalators with luggage.
- 55:12SPEAKER_03: That's correct.
- 55:14SPEAKER_03: I'm terrified.
- 55:15SPEAKER_03: I can never not hold on, which is gross.
- 55:17SPEAKER_03: I watch people getting on with like three bags and like a like a rule or a sneak place, whatever.
- 55:22SPEAKER_03: And then I'm like, they just facially understand it.
- 55:25SPEAKER_03: And I'm I'm uh terrified for them.
- 55:29SPEAKER_03: I just I don't that just I can't get myself out of that.
- 55:31SPEAKER_03: I've gotten better, but I still have to hold on.
- 55:35SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 55:36SPEAKER_03: I think only with luggage.
- 55:39SPEAKER_03: No, it's absolutely with luggage, and not as much going up as down, if that makes sense.
- 55:52SPEAKER_01: You get nervous stepping on going down more.
- 55:55SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 55:56SPEAKER_01: I think you get nervous both ways.
- 55:58SPEAKER_03: I get nervous both ways, but I'm saying down for me is harder than up with luggage.
- 56:02SPEAKER_01: Anyway, I don't think I have an irrational fear.
- 56:07SPEAKER_03: You do not find them all rational.
- 56:11SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 56:13SPEAKER_03: Um the I the weirdest thing I thought as a child that I was going to be kidnapped from inside of my home.
- 56:22SPEAKER_01: Well, that's your irrational fear, too.
- 56:24SPEAKER_01: But I'm not scared of that at all anymore.
- 56:26SPEAKER_01: But that was definitely my irrational fear growing up.
- 56:28SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 56:29SPEAKER_01: That's funny.
- 56:30SPEAKER_01: Like I thought someone was going to sneak in, break into our house and steal me out of it.
- 56:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I had a recurring nightmare about the sidewalk, but it was a nightmare.
- 56:40SPEAKER_03: Like I didn't, I don't know if I actually thought it.
- 56:42SPEAKER_03: I mean, I don't think I thought that it was going to happen.
- 56:45SPEAKER_03: Um, was that the sidewalks, little holes, large holes in the sidewalks would open up and you would drop down onto like a table and be chopped up.
- 56:54SPEAKER_03: That was my recurring nightmare.
- 56:55SPEAKER_03: That was a lot of fun.
- 56:56SPEAKER_03: That's not a nightmare.
- 56:57SPEAKER_03: I don't think that's a weirdest thing.
- 56:59SPEAKER_03: That's not the that's not a weirdest thing.
- 57:01SPEAKER_03: I don't really remember the weirdest thing that I thought as a child, to be honest.
- 57:06SPEAKER_03: Um, something I wish I could tell my younger self.
- 57:11SPEAKER_03: Like my five-year-old or eight-year-old or ten-year-old self.
- 57:28SPEAKER_01: I would probably say that like the harsh exterior was like doing more damage than like was causing me more interesting angst and pain and whatever than I I thought it was like protecting me from a lot, I think.
- 57:52SPEAKER_01: And I think if I had allowed myself to be and feel softer, I'm not saying like my life would be drastically different, but I do think I would have maybe allowed myself to have different experiences.
- 58:04SPEAKER_03: Okay, I like that.
- 58:06SPEAKER_03: That's really good, Lee.
- 58:07SPEAKER_03: Thanks.
- 58:09SPEAKER_03: Um, I think I would have told myself, like, don't like try so hard to fit in.
- 58:16SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 58:17SPEAKER_03: Because I really was like focused on being wanting to be maybe not at like five so much, but certainly by like whatever age.
- 58:28SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 58:28SPEAKER_03: I I I I cared a lot about, you know, and some point in the high school, I think I stopped caring as much.
- 58:36SPEAKER_03: Um, but when I was younger, I definitely worried about that and always wanted to be like with like, you know, the popular girls.
- 58:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 58:44SPEAKER_03: It's tough.
- 58:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 58:46SPEAKER_03: I mean, I think we all feel like that.
- 58:47SPEAKER_03: I think I feel like some people didn't.
- 58:49SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 58:50SPEAKER_03: I don't think my sister Eileen cared that much about that.
- 58:53SPEAKER_03: Maybe I'm wrong.
- 58:55SPEAKER_03: I just I mean, she just kind of did her thing and she had her friends, and I feel like she didn't really care that much.
- 59:01SPEAKER_03: I could be wrong.
- 59:03SPEAKER_03: Um the quality I like most about myself.
- 59:08SPEAKER_03: These are getting a little deeper.
- 59:10SPEAKER_02: They're not so like rapid fire.
- 59:13SPEAKER_02: Um the quality I like most in myself.
- 59:26SPEAKER_03: I feel like I want to answer that for you.
- 59:28SPEAKER_03: It's the thing I like most about you, but I'm not gonna answer it for you.
- 59:31SPEAKER_03: I think the thing that I like the most about myself is that I am.
- 59:41SPEAKER_01: I don't know how to like word it.
- 59:44SPEAKER_01: Say it.
- 59:46SPEAKER_01: I care a lot about like taking care of people and like making people feel good and making them feel prioritized.
- 59:56SPEAKER_01: I mean, it go back goes back to that like people pleaser conversation, but it's not like in a people pleasy way.
- 1:00:01SPEAKER_01: Like, you know, it brings me joy to like ask about something that we talked about a week ago.
- 1:00:08SPEAKER_01: Like, I like making people feel important and making people feel like they're like on my mind.
- 1:00:14SPEAKER_01: And so that would be probably my favorite quality because I see that it brings the people that I love, like they appreciate that quality in me.
- 1:00:24SPEAKER_03: I like that.
- 1:00:25SPEAKER_03: Thanks.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_03: Um, I think I would probably say that it sounds so like I people like me.
- 1:00:37SPEAKER_03: I'm a likable person.
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_01: You're a very likable person.
- 1:00:40SPEAKER_01: That's not what I would say is my favorite quality about you, though.
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_01: Like that's like selling yourself short, I think.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_03: What would you say you like?
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_03: Well, if we can talk to say, I would say I because what I was gonna say about you is the quality I like most about you, is you're very good in situations of being able to like look at a situation, an emotional situation, and like see it from both sides and sort of step back a little bit and then view it not like so like objectively always, but like you have a really good way of seeing two people's perspectives and being able to look at like their emotional situations and where they're coming from, and obviously it's because of all the work that you've done on yourself, and I think that's I it I even when we talk about I'm talking to you about something that involves me and a friend or whatever, you have a very good way about looking at a situation, and I always think your advice is like incredibly sound, and it's wow, that's so impressive to me.
- 1:01:48SPEAKER_03: Like you're 30 years old, and I mean I've been saying you're wise beyond your years, or you're you're 35 when you were born, but you really are at times like wise beyond your years, and it's it's a pleasure.
- 1:01:58SPEAKER_01: That's lovely and so nice.
- 1:02:00SPEAKER_01: What I was gonna say about you is similar to what I see in myself because I feel like I emulated a lot of who you are, is that you do such an amazing job of making people feel like they are so important to you, and you have so many friends and so many siblings, and you're like you take care of everyone.
- 1:02:21SPEAKER_01: I mean, I've said this on other podcasts, but like, I mean, on other episodes, but like you are the person to so like you're on other podcasts?
- 1:02:29SPEAKER_03: What podcasts are you on?
- 1:02:30SPEAKER_01: It'd be so exciting.
- 1:02:32SPEAKER_01: Um you are the person to everyone.
- 1:02:35SPEAKER_01: Like, I think about like just how many people rely on you to be their go-to, and like it's just so unbelievable how you even have like the emotional capacity to be that person for so many people.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_03: Well, thanks, honey, and I think you do a good job emulating that then.
- 1:02:53SPEAKER_03: Thanks.
- 1:02:53SPEAKER_03: I'm trying my best.
- 1:02:55SPEAKER_03: I know you are.
- 1:02:56SPEAKER_03: Um this is a we'll just end on a funny, funny note because a lot of the other ones are a little bit deeper than I think we need to do right now.
- 1:03:05SPEAKER_03: Um where was the the thing we argue about most?
- 1:03:12SPEAKER_01: Your Amazon purchases, probably.
- 1:03:14SPEAKER_01: I literally well, I'm gonna say the same thing.
- 1:03:20SPEAKER_03: My inability not to buy shit.
- 1:03:22SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:03:23SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:03:24SPEAKER_03: That's really we don't really argue anymore about anything.
- 1:03:27SPEAKER_03: I mean, I can't remember last time we had like.
- 1:03:30SPEAKER_01: I mean, we had like recently, like not recently, but something happened where I like apologized to you, and I was like, I have not apologized to my mom.
- 1:03:39SPEAKER_01: Like I felt bad.
- 1:03:39SPEAKER_01: I felt like I like hurt your feelings or something.
- 1:03:42SPEAKER_01: Oh, what was that?
- 1:03:43SPEAKER_01: And I like felt really bad that I like possibly hurt your feelings.
- 1:03:47SPEAKER_01: I actually so unlike that.
- 1:03:49SPEAKER_01: It's so unlike us.
- 1:03:50SPEAKER_01: Yes, no, I can't remember.
- 1:03:52SPEAKER_01: We were we didn't fight, like there wasn't a back and forth discourse, but something I did something clearly, and I felt like I hurt your feelings, and I like very genuinely like wanted to apologize to you.
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_01: And I haven't felt that way in a very long time.
- 1:04:05SPEAKER_01: Like, we don't argue, we agree on basically everything that there is to have a feeling about, except for my Amazon purchases, right?
- 1:04:15SPEAKER_03: That bag was not from Amazon.
- 1:04:16SPEAKER_03: I like it.
- 1:04:17SPEAKER_03: That bag I was carrying a bag last night that I got.
- 1:04:19SPEAKER_03: It was not from Amazon.
- 1:04:20SPEAKER_03: Where's it from?
- 1:04:22SPEAKER_03: Etsy.
- 1:04:23SPEAKER_01: Wait, it's a rodo, but whatever.
- 1:04:26SPEAKER_03: I like it.
- 1:04:27SPEAKER_03: Who didn't have to be?
- 1:04:36SPEAKER_03: No, but I was like looking at this girl showing her bags, and I was like, oh, that's a good one.
- 1:04:41SPEAKER_03: Let me tell you why I'm gonna do that.
- 1:04:42SPEAKER_01: I do love the style of bag.
- 1:04:46SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't dislike the bag, but I knew that that was like you didn't buy the one from the road.
- 1:04:50SPEAKER_03: Well, first of all, which is funny is first of all, I didn't actually, I was like, the Rose doing like a canvas bag.
- 1:04:56SPEAKER_03: I had no idea that it was a row dupe.
- 1:05:00SPEAKER_03: I got it because I thought it was going to be a little bit longer, deeper.
- 1:05:04SPEAKER_03: And they do make deeper ones.
- 1:05:07SPEAKER_03: Desperately looking for, I mean, I feel like I keep on, you know, I have that big, like shiny satchel cow pack carry-on thing that I now use.
- 1:05:17SPEAKER_03: But and it's great instead of like if I'm not carrying my Louie as a carry-on, but it's frigging massive.
- 1:05:23SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:05:24SPEAKER_03: So last time I was at a meeting, I am not exaggerating.
- 1:05:27SPEAKER_03: Last time I was at a meeting, I was using that to my shit for the day, my day bag.
- 1:05:32SPEAKER_03: And I literally walked into a meeting, came in, and it's like we're at a conference, so you're in like, you know, sitting and people are up at the front presenting.
- 1:05:40SPEAKER_03: So you're in like rows, so you have to sort of like scoot behind somebody and there's somebody right behind you, whatever.
- 1:05:46SPEAKER_03: And I literally knocked over like 10 things as I was walking into the meeting later.
- 1:05:51SPEAKER_03: So that's just ironic the bag to be.
- 1:05:54SPEAKER_03: So I thought there would be like, and I thought it'd be good because even if I still carried like my big like the cow pack as I.
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_03: carry-on or the Louis carry-on.
- 1:06:01SPEAKER_03: I could just fold that up and take it with me and use it for like my day.
- 1:06:06SPEAKER_03: It is a little bit more I will say when I'm just using my um my iPad, I did put it in.
- 1:06:13SPEAKER_03: It does actually fit.
- 1:06:15SPEAKER_03: It's just and I will probably be fine literally with like whatever I think I need for the day, you know, my phone and my iPad and like my air button.
- 1:06:25SPEAKER_03: It'll all fit in there.
- 1:06:26SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 1:06:26SPEAKER_01: But I think it's longer it would look too much like like a long champ.
- 1:06:31SPEAKER_01: Like it wouldn't have the same look about it.
- 1:06:33SPEAKER_01: It would just look like a canvas tote.
- 1:06:35SPEAKER_01: This has like a style to it because it has the drop handle but it's more of like a wide sharp.
- 1:06:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah yeah so it's it's not at all that I didn't like the style of the bag it was just like funny like that I you saw it you clocked that it was a dupe of something.
- 1:06:49SPEAKER_03: Yes that I obviously didn't buy the real thing.
- 1:06:52SPEAKER_03: And the real one doesn't look exactly like that but anyway.
- 1:06:56SPEAKER_03: Anyhow okay so you can you're always gonna hate my Amazon purchases.
- 1:07:01SPEAKER_03: I am getting better not always I've got a couple good things.
- 1:07:05SPEAKER_01: But it's just like it's it's actually if you ordered someone once gave me my favorite compliment in the entire world and I don't literally don't even know who gave it to me.
- 1:07:15SPEAKER_01: And this is just like you know this is something that I do pride myself on.
- 1:07:19SPEAKER_01: Like I can put I can look just this is sounds really vain and narcissistic and full of myself and I'm I'm more saying it on like a factual level because I'm trying to make a point.
- 1:07:33SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:07:33SPEAKER_01: Is that I can make an outfit from Gap from Zara from Moda Operandi from MetaPorte from you know the runway of Ola Johnson I could make all of those outfits like look just as expensive look just as good like this person said to me like you buy things from Zara that like and I just so everyone knows I I do not buy Zara anymore for personal reasons but this was comment I have nice stuff now.
- 1:08:02SPEAKER_01: I always and I've not recently and you said oh I like that I like that they I I've always liked their stuff and this isn't even about like a child labor perspective because unfortunately that's where all of our shit is coming from and that's terrible but like I'm not gonna fight that's not the cause for me um I stopped because when I was living in New York every time I went out in a Zara top someone else was wearing the stupid fucking top like it was just like annoying.
- 1:08:27SPEAKER_01: I it didn't have enough now I could probably wear some stuff and no one else would be wearing it but what the blouse from Zara from Fair's from Zara right?
- 1:08:35SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 1:08:36SPEAKER_03: That was one of the I like we put I pulled up a picture of it recently I was like that was that was a great well to that point she said you pick things out at Zara and you make them look like they're not from Zara and it's the way that I I'm also just like it's the way that I carry my it this sounds so obnoxious and full of myself but it actually is true like it I it's a it's a gift that I have like it it's just the way that I carry myself but if you were picking out like very curated things from Amazon and I couldn't tell that they were from Amazon it would be one thing it's the quantity right you're right I'm not gonna argue if I buy too much shit on Amazon you're 100% right there are a couple things on Amazon that are great.
- 1:09:21SPEAKER_03: Those Rudy Dupe pants are amazing.
- 1:09:23SPEAKER_03: The Viore Dupe lookout stuff is amazing.
- 1:09:26SPEAKER_03: How much are the Rudy pants?
- 1:09:28SPEAKER_03: $225 and frankly I would have gotten them but they didn't even look as good as the other ones do look on me.
- 1:09:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah they're quite just a little bit great that's what I'm saying like if you were like I buy these pants this one thing like it's my Amazon stuff.
- 1:09:42SPEAKER_01: It's that you have become like the literal Amazon shopper like my one of my mom's best friends goes you can buy clothes on Amazon like I'm not saying you need to be that end of the spectrum I'm just saying like we don't need our entire wardrobe every time we answer the question for it to be from Amazon and things back to copy Titan back Titan came back in the room so sorry.
- 1:10:03SPEAKER_01: Oh my god so we can we don't have to suffer through that because we don't need to anyway nobody's here but you're right you're right I should stop that the to bring it back to end off our game while it would be impossible for me to pick a song that is the soundtrack of my life I am going to say a song that I think the vibe of the song the story of the song everything about the song is at least where I am in my life right now okay is Don't Think Twice It's Alright by Bob Dylan.
- 1:10:43SPEAKER_01: I love that it's just one of those like it just everything about that song I just feel like it's the soundtrack to my life these days I love that and that's a wonderful ending.
- 1:10:56SPEAKER_03: And a wonderful credit to um little nod to dad since his birthday is coming up.
- 1:11:02SPEAKER_03: As is yours coming up I know I'm actually going to Boom Goods actually we're gonna have to think about that because we might have to miss next week because your party is Saturday and I'm leaving early Sunday morning.
- 1:11:13SPEAKER_03: Yeah well we'll let you guys know.
- 1:11:15SPEAKER_03: We'll let you guys know and if we miss the week you'll know why it's because we're celebrating Leah's 30th and then I am off on a business trip on early Sunday morning so we may have to skip it and I know you guys will miss us but we'll keep you posted.
- 1:11:29SPEAKER_01: We'll keep you posted.
- 1:11:30SPEAKER_01: Maybe we'll do another uh set of videos or something fun from our I love that from our from our curated library yeah exactly okay okay gotta go do some work go birds go birds love you
