- 0:00Speaker 1: I have some best questions here.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Question of the is it brought to you by It's
- 0:05Speaker 2: brought to you by email?
- 0:07Speaker 3: Your best question to Radio from Hell at X ninety
- 0:10Speaker 3: six dot com.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Well, the first one.
- 0:18Speaker 4: Wasn't really a great question or even the best question,
- 0:21Speaker 4: but there was a.
- 0:22Speaker 1: PS on the question.
- 0:24Speaker 4: Oh ok, And the PS says, Carrie and Bill stop
- 0:29Speaker 4: picking on Genas so much. You know you guys would
- 0:33Speaker 4: be lost without her and Katie and I would just
- 0:37Speaker 4: take exception with that. It's not Carrie that does it.
- 0:41Speaker 4: It's just me.
- 0:42Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm going to say I tend to get lumped
- 0:46Speaker 5: in there and it's just not true.
- 0:49Speaker 4: It's just me, So don't try and paint carry with
- 0:53Speaker 4: that bruck exactly.
- 0:54Speaker 5: I'd demand an apology, and you deserve one from whoever
- 0:59Speaker 5: sent that in.
- 1:00Speaker 4: And don't you say anything, Gina. Let's see this one says,
- 1:07Speaker 4: hello lords. I know everyone considers the show too political,
- 1:13Speaker 4: but I would love to ask a political question with
- 1:17Speaker 4: a different twist. What conservative viewpoint or stance do you
- 1:23Speaker 4: agree with?
- 1:26Speaker 2: I have a controversial one because you know I.
- 1:32Speaker 6: Can't think of something right away. What is your what
- 1:35Speaker 6: is your hot take? Gina?
- 1:38Speaker 3: I think if you borrow money to go to college,
- 1:44Speaker 3: and you choose to do that, Yeah, you should pay
- 1:48Speaker 3: it back and shouldn't expect someone else to pay it
- 1:51Speaker 3: for you.
- 1:53Speaker 1: I will.
- 1:53Speaker 4: I will say this, if you look into it, Gina,
- 1:56Speaker 4: some of the predatory lending practices many many, any many
- 2:00Speaker 4: or what's what's caused this problem.
- 2:02Speaker 3: I don't disagree with that. I'm just saying you you
- 2:07Speaker 3: took out a loan. That's a decision you made, whether
- 2:10Speaker 3: it was with a nefarious, you know, outfit or not.
- 2:13Speaker 2: You said I'm going to.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Borrow money to go to school, you with the understanding
- 2:18Speaker 3: that you will have to pay.
- 2:19Speaker 4: That back at some But many people borrowed that money
- 2:23Speaker 4: under false pretenses, many people. That happened to many people.
- 2:28Speaker 4: It was just it was they were not dealt with
- 2:32Speaker 4: well by the by the lenders. And it's because the
- 2:34Speaker 4: federal government farmed it out. Yeah, they farmed it out
- 2:37Speaker 4: to private lenders rather than just you.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Know, it's it's buyer beware. I mean, you didn't have
- 2:42Speaker 2: to do that. You borrowed money.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Okay, that's fine.
- 2:48Speaker 1: I think that's why I'm a liberal.
- 2:51Speaker 6: And you're not.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I think I disagree with her on this me too.
- 2:54Speaker 3: I think for certain emphasis, Like if you're getting a
- 3:00Speaker 3: medical degree or something where you're.
- 3:04Speaker 2: We need more doctors, we need more.
- 3:06Speaker 3: You know, you should get some extra assistance with your
- 3:10Speaker 3: with your degree for that.
- 3:11Speaker 2: But if you just decided to get a.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Degree in advertising advertise in advertising and don't do that,
- 3:18Speaker 3: you can't pay yours. You took out a loan, it sucks.
- 3:24Speaker 3: I sympathize with your plate, but it's it's something you
- 3:28Speaker 3: elected to do.
- 3:30Speaker 4: I think you'll start seeing people in the in in
- 3:33Speaker 4: in the texting, in the chat room saying oh no, no,
- 3:38Speaker 4: because because Gina, you're wrong. I mean most those people
- 3:43Speaker 4: who are who are seeking loan forgiveness, so many of
- 3:47Speaker 4: them were just it hoodwinked by the whole thing. I
- 3:50Speaker 4: had no idea what they were getting into. And that's
- 3:53Speaker 4: not fair.
- 3:55Speaker 6: Yeah, they're piling on you, Gina.
- 3:58Speaker 5: I can't think of a I mean, I need a
- 4:02Speaker 5: definition of conservative issue.
- 4:06Speaker 4: Well, I mean I would say conservative dance like I
- 4:10Speaker 4: believe that uh, family units are a good thing, you know,
- 4:15Speaker 4: a good solidervative. Well, I know, but it is the
- 4:19Speaker 4: sort of thing that they that they you know, we're
- 4:22Speaker 4: family with the family family values party. Well, I have
- 4:25Speaker 4: family values too.
- 4:27Speaker 3: Uh, it's yeah, that should that should be that that
- 4:31Speaker 3: liberals need to do a better job of making that
- 4:33Speaker 3: clear that that they think families are great too.
- 4:36Speaker 2: That sounds like a messaging thing.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I uh, but you know, I don't.
- 4:44Speaker 4: I can't.
- 4:45Speaker 6: I'm going to go back here.
- 4:46Speaker 4: So if if you have, if you have medical issues,
- 4:52Speaker 4: and you should just be able to pay.
- 4:54Speaker 2: For that, because if you have medical issues, you have
- 4:58Speaker 2: to deal with them. You don't have to go to.
- 5:00Speaker 1: And you don't have to go to the doctor if
- 5:02Speaker 1: you don't.
- 5:04Speaker 6: Have to know.
- 5:04Speaker 2: That's not a good comparison.
- 5:06Speaker 4: I think it's it's a perfect comparison. You would say
- 5:09Speaker 4: that you're for for for socialized medicine, for a single.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Share health care, a very liberal position. Yeah, but well
- 5:18Speaker 1: so why would you Why would you take that position?
- 5:20Speaker 2: People, you have to have medical care, You don't have
- 5:23Speaker 2: to go to college.
- 5:24Speaker 1: People need to pull themselves up by their own bootstrengs.
- 5:26Speaker 2: That's not what I'm saying either.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Now, Now, if you want to have a conversation about
- 5:30Speaker 3: I think there should be free college available to people,
- 5:34Speaker 3: that's a different story entirely.
- 5:35Speaker 2: I'm saying.
- 5:36Speaker 3: If you sign a piece of paper that says I
- 5:38Speaker 3: am borrowing money to go do something, and then you
- 5:41Speaker 3: can't pay it back later you elected to go into that.
- 5:45Speaker 3: I think we should have free, free public education through college,
- 5:49Speaker 3: free free training for all kinds of things.
- 5:52Speaker 4: And I think we put too Oh here's a conservative position. Okay,
- 5:55Speaker 4: I think we put too much emphasis on college.
- 5:58Speaker 6: Hmmm.
- 5:58Speaker 1: I think they do it that that.
- 6:00Speaker 4: You know, uh, liberals would say, oh, yeah, you've got
- 6:04Speaker 4: to get a college education. I think of more conservative
- 6:07Speaker 4: position is, no, you don't have to get a college education.
- 6:11Speaker 4: There are plenty of good trades to be in. Not
- 6:13Speaker 4: everybody needs to go to college.
- 6:15Speaker 6: The world needs ditch diggers too, exactly, is what you're saying.
- 6:18Speaker 5: Yeah, well, I think colleges is good for kids so well,
- 6:26Speaker 5: because it's important that they meet people who are not
- 6:29Speaker 5: like them.
- 6:31Speaker 3: No, I think you can have different conversations about college
- 6:35Speaker 3: being affordable.
- 6:36Speaker 2: That's a different you.
- 6:37Speaker 4: Know, you know, carry You can get that same thing
- 6:39Speaker 4: by just having them enlist in the army, hang around
- 6:44Speaker 4: people that are not, you know, maybe not like them.
- 6:47Speaker 4: You meet all kinds of people, so any no, any
- 6:51Speaker 4: other one on that carry an.
- 6:53Speaker 5: I can't think of a you know again, it's it's
- 6:55Speaker 5: the what's conservative and what's liberal is is.
- 6:59Speaker 4: Hard from you to define. I mean, I just look
- 7:01Speaker 4: at it from the standpoint of what so say. This
- 7:04Speaker 4: is what the what the conservatives say that they'refore.
- 7:08Speaker 5: Well, conservatives say a lot of things, you know, the
- 7:11Speaker 5: family values for example. Yeah, but then if you look
- 7:14Speaker 5: at the conservative politicians and the people who are saying
- 7:17Speaker 5: family values, family values, they have mistresses, or they're secretly
- 7:23Speaker 5: they're in secret gay relationships or something you know, or
- 7:26Speaker 5: they're flying to you know, countries to have sex with women.
- 7:30Speaker 5: You know, the people who profess the family values are
- 7:35Speaker 5: they're hypocrites.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, family values for thee, but not for me.
- 7:40Speaker 4: Here's a final question. Do you think that things can
- 7:44Speaker 4: be fixed or returned to some semblance of normalcy after
- 7:49Speaker 4: this administration?
- 7:52Speaker 3: Ah?
- 7:53Speaker 2: If you listen to.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Pete Buddha Judge on this, I love mayor Pete he said,
- 7:59Speaker 3: he said, there's no going back. We need to reimagine
- 8:04Speaker 3: what it looks like going forward.
- 8:07Speaker 2: It's going to look different.
- 8:08Speaker 3: We can make it better, we can bring We need
- 8:12Speaker 3: to go after universal health care, we need to go
- 8:15Speaker 3: after universal childcare. We need those are things we didn't
- 8:18Speaker 3: have before. So wanting to go back to the way
- 8:20Speaker 3: things were.
- 8:21Speaker 6: We shouldn't.
- 8:21Speaker 2: We should want it to be better.
- 8:23Speaker 4: I think that it will be difficult to do and
- 8:26Speaker 4: it will be nearly impossible if the Democrats don't get
- 8:31Speaker 4: their act together. The Democrats are as useless as as
- 8:37Speaker 4: the Republicans at this They're.
- 8:39Speaker 5: They're more caught up in playing by the rules and
- 8:41Speaker 5: being polite.
- 8:43Speaker 6: They need to stop that.
- 8:44Speaker 4: Or you know, even just just sit up and do
- 8:47Speaker 4: your job. Your job is to say no, you can't
- 8:51Speaker 4: continue the war without a congressional you know, approval. There
- 8:56Speaker 4: are things that they can't do that they just don't do.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I know I've upset people here. You really have
- 9:05Speaker 3: h And just for the record, I paid for my
- 9:08Speaker 3: own school. I did not have parental help at all
- 9:13Speaker 3: for my school.
- 9:15Speaker 2: I pay for it.
- 9:16Speaker 4: But if you look through these comments, and that's what
- 9:18Speaker 4: I was trying to say, these lend the predatory lending.
- 9:22Speaker 4: They you know, they take out these loans with and
- 9:25Speaker 4: then the interest rate just knocks them for a loop.
- 9:28Speaker 6: They end up paying on it, you.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Know, Or we should fix that going forward.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure, yep.
- 9:34Speaker 4: And that's and and that people that were caught in
- 9:36Speaker 4: that situation that's those are the people that the government
- 9:40Speaker 4: that that Biden said was saying we need to have
- 9:43Speaker 4: forgiveness of those loans. They were not fairly uh, they
- 9:47Speaker 4: were not fairly granted those loans.
- 9:50Speaker 3: But that's the conservative position is that Okay, you could
- 9:53Speaker 3: fix it going forward, but you don't forgive the loan.
- 9:55Speaker 4: That's your and and that seems to be your position.
- 9:58Speaker 4: You pay for it. You took out the loan, you.
- 10:01Speaker 6: Pay for it. M I don't know. I don't like
- 10:05Speaker 6: any of these questions.
- 10:07Speaker 2: It's a good thing to think about.
- 10:09Speaker 6: Carry.
- 10:14Speaker 3: So if you'd like to send us a question that
- 10:17Speaker 3: Carrie might like to talk about, think of a question
- 10:20Speaker 3: Carrie will want to.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Answer you can.
- 10:23Speaker 5: Answer is always Star Trek Okay Radio from Hell.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Here's one. Here's one for Carry. What is your middle name?
- 10:32Speaker 5: Jack?
- 10:34Speaker 1: Now you've given it away.
