- 0:00Happy Tuesday morning, everybody.
- 0:03We are at Ferrari in Maranello, Italy, basically Modena, so
- 0:11unbelievable. I have so much to say.
- 0:14We are at Ferrari and this is the museum, by the way, breaking
- 0:19news in the garage area. Lewis Hamilton is here right now
- 0:24and John and myself, we started up, we started our tour here.
- 0:29There's buses over there. And I'm going to tell you what,
- 0:33if if you ever come here, take a tour because the tour's
- 0:37incredible. It's like it goes right through
- 0:39the race team that's racing right now.
- 0:43I'm sorry. They would not let us take any
- 0:45pictures. They told us that right away.
- 0:47No pictures. Formula One, man, they are
- 0:50tight. They protect everything they
- 0:52have. But this is the museum and gift
- 0:57shop. It all starts right here.
- 1:01I have so much to say. I'm trying to think of
- 1:03everything, but I want to tell you the cool news right away.
- 1:06Lewis Hamilton's here. And as we took the bus tour
- 1:11through the new race shop and then Enzo Ferrari's old race
- 1:15shop that got bombed during one of the wars, we watched the
- 1:21manufacturing of you. We didn't watch it, but we saw
- 1:25the body shells. So Lewis is here today and the
- 1:31fans have found their way. John, come here.
- 1:35John being shy on me. So how many fans do you think
- 1:39were there at the gate trying to get a glimpse of thousands?
- 1:43They had flags and T-shirts and hordes of screaming fans.
- 1:48It was so they all tried to get a glimpse of Lewis Hamble.
- 1:51Maybe it was 100. It was about 50 people, about 50
- 1:56people and, and, and, and they OK the entry level.
- 2:03Here's some information. The entry level like if you want
- 2:07to buy a Ferrari, it's $300,000. That's the starter car.
- 2:12Then the bad ass car goes up like 2.7 million.
- 2:17They build 13,000 cars a year. Takes three days to assemble one
- 2:23car. And I can tell you and John
- 2:27interrupt me if I'm wrong. You're.
- 2:29Never wrong. Yes, I am wrong.
- 2:31My wife's always right. I'm wrong.
- 2:33But the the shell of the car is is built down the road here, the
- 2:40shell, the body shell is built by 1 of Enzo's longtime friend.
- 2:44I think he's still alive yes and and it was a deal that Enzo made
- 2:49with his friend to build the body shells and and they they
- 2:56the body shells are brought here and the deal he made with Enzo
- 3:00was number one to keep it there and 30 minutes down the road or
- 3:05something, keep his keep his employees.
- 3:09What was the third one? Keep the name, keep the name.
- 3:13There's a name of the body shells.
- 3:15You'll know respond right here. I you know, I'm the ADH got
- 3:20attention deficit disorder ADD whatever.
- 3:23So I was so much information, but they did let us see, you
- 3:28know, the bodies with all the bolt on the, you know, the body
- 3:34with the frame. They let us see that go in the
- 3:39assembly department and it gets it takes three days to assemble.
- 3:45What did they say? They assembled per day. 60 to
- 3:4866. 60 to 66 cars per day. So if you times out by 365 days
- 3:55that it sounds like they said they built 13,000, I don't know.
- 4:02That's too. Much math?
- 4:03Yeah, that's too much math. Respond right here.
- 4:05But we did see one of their first SUVs, 4 doors.
- 4:11We did see one of those. Saw some prototypes driving
- 4:15around. Too, the prototypes drive
- 4:16around. And here's the other deal,
- 4:19although it's the factory. Oh, look, look, look, look, so
- 4:24you know, you know, in NASCAR, if you go to like Rick Hendrick,
- 4:27it's like it's nice. But this is oh, oh, here's the
- 4:31other one. Ferrari employs 5000 people
- 4:35because you got the race team, you got an in the man.
- 4:39So the here's the other thing that I thought was exciting the
- 4:43manufacturer, like if you own a Ferrari and the race team,
- 4:47they're all in the same square. So like the race cars and where
- 4:52they build the passenger cars are right there all together.
- 4:57Everything you can't hardly see in anything.
- 5:00The the race team is very up to date, very sophisticated kind of
- 5:05glass you can't see in. I got some other really cool
- 5:09information and all of you F1 fans know it.
- 5:12They showed us their Formula One track.
- 5:15So they had an incredible test track here, and Michael
- 5:19Schumacher still holds the record to this day at the test
- 5:24track, which is right behind her.
- 5:27And I'm going to tell you what, this test track is badass.
- 5:30And what did they say the record was?
- 5:3250 point? It's a three mile track 50. 5
- 5:35seconds. 55.99 but Michael Schumacher still owns the
- 5:40record. But test tracks are illegal now,
- 5:44Formula One said. Y'all are spending too much
- 5:46money. No more testing.
- 5:49So just like NASCAR, so as soon as soon as we trash NASCAR, talk
- 5:54bad about them. Formula One does not allow your
- 5:57own test track anymore. They got a a kick ass wind
- 6:01tunnel here and the wind tunnel is illegal now.
- 6:06So in Formula One to cut costs, this this test track is
- 6:11unbelievable. That's illegal.
- 6:13No more Formula One testing on your own track.
- 6:16The wind tunnel's illegal. No more of that.
- 6:18So what do they do with it all? They have this Ferrari team.
- 6:25These people are extremely wealthy.
- 6:27And you own the car, but you don't get to take the car with
- 6:30you. The car stays here, over there
- 6:33in this incredible big white building.
- 6:35And let's say they're going to have an event in New York.
- 6:38First of all #1 clients in the world on Globe earth #1 clients
- 6:44for Ferrari. America #2 Germany, China's in
- 6:51there anyway, this is like number six or seven.
- 6:55Italy, the home of Ferrari is like #6 but America is the
- 7:00number one buyers. So these these real wealthy
- 7:03people, they buy these things, but they don't get to they don't
- 7:06get to keep them. They're like a little miniature
- 7:08race team, like a race club. And they come here and they're
- 7:12the only ones that use the test track.
- 7:15So the the make believe racers, sorry, don't get mad at me,
- 7:23don't get mad at me. The make believe racers, they
- 7:26own the car. They don't get the take it home.
- 7:29It stays here. And it let's say the let's say
- 7:31they're they're going to race in New York.
- 7:34How many people go with that guy?
- 7:37They send 20 people. So let's say a car from here is
- 7:42going to go to America and race for a little, you know, Country
- 7:45Club deal a little. It's a little more than that.
- 7:48I'm not demeaning you. Calm down.
- 7:51But buddy, you know the money out there.
- 7:54You know how we all pour mouth this or that.
- 7:58You haven't seen money until you deal with Formula One people.
- 8:02They, they got a flock of $100 bills flying out their ass.
- 8:06That's how wealthy they are around here.
- 8:08It's unbelievable. And you know, in Formula One,
- 8:11they just try to cut costs because I think their budget is
- 8:15like 2300 million per year. NASCAR's like 20 million a year.
- 8:20Like for Jimmie Johnson to win one of those 7 championships,
- 8:24they spent like 20 million a year here.
- 8:27They spent like 300 million a year.
- 8:32The wind tunnel, they use that for some of their passenger cars
- 8:36now. All right, I think that's it.
- 8:40I said a lot. I hope it helped.
- 8:44It was a little different than I thought.
- 8:45It was much smaller. That's why those Ferraris cost
- 8:50so much money. If you buy a Ferrari, they they
- 8:54got their hands on them and they take three days to build.
- 8:57So you're buying a car assembled by people.
- 9:00There's no manufacturing to it. You buy a Ferrari, it's like men
- 9:05are putting it together. There's none of this snap
- 9:09together stuff. They're bolting it together.
- 9:11They're torquing it. Are we gonna are we gonna go buy
- 9:15a Ferrari T-shirt now? Let's.
- 9:17Do it. We're gonna go buy a Ferrari
- 9:19T-shirt, all right? Everybody, all you Ferrari
- 9:22people I know, you know everything I get, you know
- 9:25everything. Remember?
- 9:27Respond right here. Tell us everything I said wrong
- 9:31'cause you're such a bad ass. I always got to be a little
- 9:34smart ass.
