- 3:29Speaker 1: jazz is in. Not jazz music. Jasmin White, who is
- 3:34Speaker 1: my guest this morning, and first of all, welcome to both.
- 3:38Speaker 1: You got to introduce this cat next to him because
- 3:41Speaker 1: you just have at it.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Yes, please everyone, This is the amazing and creative David Price.
- 3:49Speaker 2: And he is an incredible musician and the co writer
- 3:54Speaker 2: of Majesty of Mayhem?
- 3:57Speaker 1: So what is and I was you know, I posted
- 3:59Speaker 1: up a little bit about this yesterday? What is Majesty
- 4:02Speaker 1: of First of all, everyone knows you jazz from Jasmine White,
- 4:07Speaker 1: from Heartless, Born and raised right.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Here mostly I primarily lived through Vermont, born in California, and.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Then kind of adapted in what high school did you
- 4:20Speaker 1: go to?
- 4:21Speaker 2: You? Thirty two the Zoo?
- 4:22Speaker 1: All right? Graduated in what year.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Supposed to be ninety seven? Did ninety six? Graduated early?
- 4:31Speaker 2: Hit it off to college?
- 4:32Speaker 1: All right? And you still live and work right here
- 4:35Speaker 1: in central Vermont? Yes, all right? Your band Heartless is amazing.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Last time I saw you was over at the Nodes
- 4:45Speaker 1: Family Farm Benefit and it was just electric.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it was wonderful to be a part of that.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Had goosebumps when you guys were getting into some of
- 4:55Speaker 1: the zapp I.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Did, had some of my favorite stuff, all of it.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Man, it's just so good. So you you have created
- 5:05Speaker 1: you and David together and nice to meet David, by
- 5:08Speaker 1: the way, have created a rock opera. And you said
- 5:13Speaker 1: something to me about this a little bit shortly before
- 5:17Speaker 1: you went on stage the last time. I gotta get
- 5:21Speaker 1: with you, gonna talk about this rock op and I'm like,
- 5:24Speaker 1: what do you what are you talking about? So, so
- 5:26Speaker 1: here's me. When I hear the words rock opera, I
- 5:31Speaker 1: think of of the Who, Tommy and Zicky, Ziggy Stardust.
- 5:41Speaker 1: But outside of that, what exactly are you doing? Jasmine?
- 5:46Speaker 1: What is this? You take the lead diamond.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Put it on. Yeah.
- 5:54Speaker 4: Majesty Mayhem is a a rock opera that is based Majesty,
- 6:00Speaker 4: which is the king of a kingdom. I play Majesty
- 6:04Speaker 4: in that and the story is centered around all the
- 6:08Speaker 4: different personalities what make up who Majesty is, whether it
- 6:13Speaker 4: is the darkness, the happiness, the good, all those things
- 6:16Speaker 4: that make up all of us. You know, when we
- 6:19Speaker 4: have our doubt, when we have our dark times where
- 6:23Speaker 4: we feel like everything is crumbling, there's depression coming in,
- 6:26Speaker 4: thoughts that we can't keep going on. You know, this
- 6:29Speaker 4: story really touches all the aspects of that. It touches
- 6:35Speaker 4: suicide and addiction, but also overcoming all those things. So
- 6:40Speaker 4: it's a story that really anybody can relate to because
- 6:43Speaker 4: everybody has those moments where they sink to the darkest
- 6:46Speaker 4: points and a lot of times they may have people
- 6:50Speaker 4: on the outside trying to pull them out that, but
- 6:52Speaker 4: at the end of the day they have to be
- 6:53Speaker 4: willing to pull themselves out of it. So everybody, all
- 6:57Speaker 4: the characters in in this production are the different personalities
- 7:03Speaker 4: within me, so the good, the evil, and you really
- 7:06Speaker 4: get to watch the story as it progresses, you know,
- 7:10Speaker 4: taken down to the very pits, the lowest, but then
- 7:12Speaker 4: also overcoming that, you know, with the love, the guidance,
- 7:16Speaker 4: the faith, the nurturing, yeah, all those things. So it's
- 7:21Speaker 4: it's really something everybody can relate to, you know. And
- 7:24Speaker 4: the story is you know, centered around you know, Majesty
- 7:29Speaker 4: in the Kingdom.
- 7:30Speaker 3: So we have you know, the Maiden of Love.
- 7:32Speaker 4: We have a Jester we have the beast, which is
- 7:35Speaker 4: you know, the darkness, the duke of sound, which is
- 7:40Speaker 4: more of the what keeps us centered, you know. So
- 7:45Speaker 4: there's really something to or something for everybody to attach
- 7:51Speaker 4: themselves to and really relate to with the story, but
- 7:55Speaker 4: also kind of puts it in more of a theatrical setting.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Yeah. So, so it's so it's a performance. I mean,
- 8:03Speaker 1: it's it's it's it's music. It's non NonStop music. Correct,
- 8:08Speaker 1: There's no dialogue that's going on here. It's the message
- 8:13Speaker 1: is in the music and in the lyrics, but also
- 8:17Speaker 1: song choice.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Correct, this is crafted carefully, very Yes, we we've gone
- 8:24Speaker 2: around and round with some certain song choices. But if
- 8:28Speaker 2: you think about tribute bands, you know, paying tribute to
- 8:32Speaker 2: amazing artists, we're looking at alternate rock and metal arts.
- 8:37Speaker 2: So we have a system of a down in there.
- 8:40Speaker 2: We have Corn in there. We have Evanescence in there.
- 8:46Speaker 2: That's Summak, Benjamin Disturbed.
- 8:50Speaker 1: You got some heavy ship in there.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Yes, very complex. For for all you who know me,
- 8:57Speaker 2: they know that if it's not complicated, I won't touch down.
- 9:03Speaker 2: But it is. It's taking the lyrics of the songs
- 9:09Speaker 2: as well to tell the story. Of the decline to
- 9:12Speaker 2: tell the story about how we go through our mental
- 9:15Speaker 2: health when we're plummeting. And so there was a lot
- 9:20Speaker 2: of songs that we had originally thought that we have
- 9:22Speaker 2: either tossed out and newer songs that we've discovered that
- 9:27Speaker 2: have come in. Yeah, and then we've written all the
- 9:30Speaker 2: interludes and transitions in between them, plus put in our
- 9:34Speaker 2: original songs as well. So it's you know, tribute to
- 9:40Speaker 2: certain well known artists meets theater meets opera.
- 9:49Speaker 1: You know. One of the things that we attempt to
- 9:54Speaker 1: do here on aired out every week a little bit
- 9:58Speaker 1: is chip away at hopelessness, which is such, you know,
- 10:04Speaker 1: is a massive umbrella here and it's connected to everything,
- 10:10Speaker 1: and try to restore some some hope, some positivity, whether
- 10:17Speaker 1: it's your mental health, whether it's the weather, whether it's politics,
- 10:22Speaker 1: whatever it may be, and come out on the on
- 10:26Speaker 1: the bright side of it. And it seems like in
- 10:30Speaker 1: the end that's what this is maybe attempting to do,
- 10:36Speaker 1: is restore hope.
- 10:37Speaker 2: And it dives deep. It's very because of the theatrics
- 10:43Speaker 2: of the show. All of us as the musicians, we
- 10:46Speaker 2: are also the actors, so we are transit on that
- 10:50Speaker 2: stage all the time.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Costumed, costumed, very costumed.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Yes, we talk in Elton John esk we're talking Renaissan Renaissance.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:01Speaker 2: So it's it's where the royal court within his mind
- 11:05Speaker 2: if you think of inside out, but put them in
- 11:08Speaker 2: in a kingdom, all right?
- 11:09Speaker 1: In whose mind? Magic Jesus? Which is you? David? You're
- 11:14Speaker 1: so you're vocalist? Yes, no instruments, You're you're singing?
- 11:17Speaker 3: Yeah with this, I'm I'm no instruments on this one.
- 11:20Speaker 1: So okay for you, for me? Okay? Uh. And who's
- 11:25Speaker 1: who's joining David? Who's joining you on vocals?
- 11:29Speaker 3: Jasmine is the other main vocalist.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Well, yeah, she does know how to sing.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think it's a really good pairing.
- 11:41Speaker 2: But to be clear, i'm secondary vocal He is the
- 11:43Speaker 2: lead of the show. Yeah and very well yeah, no pressure, no, what.
- 11:50Speaker 1: What's he sound like? Jazz? I'm asking you what's he has?
- 11:58Speaker 2: I don't know you've got he's well. He and I
- 12:02Speaker 2: started working around the rock vocals because you were more
- 12:05Speaker 2: of a country vocalist for a long time and a
- 12:07Speaker 2: blues vocalist, and so when we met and got to
- 12:11Speaker 2: know each other, we started working on rock vocals and
- 12:15Speaker 2: he's got a growl in him that I'm like, hey, yeah,
- 12:20Speaker 2: but he's always attached himself to more of like the
- 12:24Speaker 2: the alternative rock sound stuff. So we tried it out
- 12:27Speaker 2: and it was, it was, it was a perfect fit.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Listen, everything that you're involved with Jasmine is never half assed.
- 12:42Speaker 1: You always take it to the to the extreme, whether
- 12:47Speaker 1: you're on stage or whether you're creating something off stage.
- 12:52Speaker 1: I you know, I want to I'm already anxious to know,
- 12:58Speaker 1: like when is this thing going launch?
- 13:01Speaker 2: We're hoping for the fall of next year. We still
- 13:04Speaker 2: have so much to build.
- 13:05Speaker 1: And we're a year out on this.
- 13:08Speaker 2: We're already a year and a half in. We're a
- 13:10Speaker 2: year and a quarter in building. And then yeah, I mean,
- 13:15Speaker 2: this is something that you don't just throw up on
- 13:18Speaker 2: a stage. Every piece has to be crafted. All my
- 13:22Speaker 2: years of community theater and direction and acting and stuff
- 13:25Speaker 2: like that, all that comes into play. So the blocking
- 13:27Speaker 2: has to be right, the emotion on the stage has
- 13:30Speaker 2: to be right, the lighting's got to be right, the
- 13:33Speaker 2: staging has to be placed just so. And why it
- 13:37Speaker 2: takes a lot to put a production like this together.
- 13:39Speaker 2: It's not just show up and play, so we both
- 13:44Speaker 2: know that unless we feel it is the best it
- 13:47Speaker 2: can be, it won't be on a stage because the
- 13:51Speaker 2: weight of the mission of the show is huge. It
- 13:57Speaker 2: looks at mental health in a very deep way. It
- 14:01Speaker 2: talks about the things we don't talk about, the dark,
- 14:05Speaker 2: and and it brings it to light, It brings it
- 14:08Speaker 2: to focus, and it allows people to resonate with that.
- 14:11Speaker 2: We all have that within us, and we go through
- 14:14Speaker 2: that journey together and then at the end we learn
- 14:17Speaker 2: that it's our our self love and what do I
- 14:25Speaker 2: want to say?
- 14:26Speaker 1: So many of us have have lost that or it's
- 14:31Speaker 1: maybe not fully lost, but clouded over with a lot
- 14:35Speaker 1: of other distractions that are going on in our lives. Yeah,
- 14:39Speaker 1: and we are and putting our energy into everything else
- 14:45Speaker 1: except ourselves. I think I'm guilty of that myself.
- 14:50Speaker 2: So I think the community right now, you know, everybody
- 14:55Speaker 2: is struggling with what's right, what's wrong, learning values about
- 14:59Speaker 2: their who's right, who's right, or who's wrong or And
- 15:02Speaker 2: the reality is we're all in this world. It's all
- 15:04Speaker 2: turning together. We're all a part of that, and we're
- 15:06Speaker 2: a lot more similar than we all think. We're all
- 15:11Speaker 2: very we're all struggling in the depth of our mental
- 15:13Speaker 2: health right now, and who's not exactly exactly. So this
- 15:20Speaker 2: hopefully brings all of our hands together to talk about
- 15:23Speaker 2: that type of journey that we can get through together.
- 15:28Speaker 2: We asked that the show be almost culty in a
- 15:32Speaker 2: way where we want people to come expressing those certain
- 15:36Speaker 2: emotions that are on the stage, to cheer on Majesty,
- 15:41Speaker 2: to cry with Majesty, to crumble with him, to be
- 15:44Speaker 2: angry in those moments where there's one abusive scene where
- 15:49Speaker 2: you just attack love, which is me. He doesn't actually
- 15:52Speaker 2: hit me, but he looks like he doesn't, and it
- 15:57Speaker 2: gets really dark. But our feelings are dark. Let's talk
- 16:01Speaker 2: about the dark, not just the overall all mental health.
- 16:05Speaker 2: This person's depressed. What is depression? What is the depth
- 16:10Speaker 2: of that? Where are the things that we go through?
- 16:12Speaker 2: That's what the show.
- 16:14Speaker 1: It's almost part of me. That's like not to get
- 16:16Speaker 1: super personal here, but I mean this is a really
- 16:18Speaker 1: personal and a lot of private stuff we're talking about.
- 16:23Speaker 1: How are you guys able to incorporate this on stage
- 16:28Speaker 1: without having dappled yourself in some of these things.
- 16:36Speaker 3: I don't Yeah, I don't think you can approach this
- 16:39Speaker 3: unless you've.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Done that, That's what I'm saying.
- 16:42Speaker 3: So, and.
- 16:44Speaker 4: I think it would be hard pressed to find anybody
- 16:46Speaker 4: who could watch the show and at the end of
- 16:49Speaker 4: it be like, oh I didn't relate to that. Yeah,
- 16:52Speaker 4: I just don't see that happening. Because even if you
- 16:56Speaker 4: think down to the most minute thing, like you're at
- 16:59Speaker 4: the store or something you really want you go, and
- 17:00Speaker 4: it's not there in a way that attacks just that
- 17:05Speaker 4: little bit of anger or frustration.
- 17:08Speaker 3: That's that's an emotion.
- 17:10Speaker 4: So like this, this show is on a much bigger scale,
- 17:13Speaker 4: but it just brings out all those little things, and
- 17:16Speaker 4: you know, like there may be points where the Jester
- 17:18Speaker 4: kind of just pops in and it's that little bit
- 17:21Speaker 4: of the voice in your head that's kind of good,
- 17:23Speaker 4: kind of evil. You don't really know where it's going
- 17:26Speaker 4: to guide you, you know, And that's kind.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Of the unfiltered thought.
- 17:32Speaker 1: I mean, I'm thinking, uh, it's just got so much
- 17:35Speaker 1: in my mind here. But does the very Opera House
- 17:41Speaker 1: know that this is being created right now? Does the
- 17:47Speaker 1: Virgen's Opera House know about this Lost Nation Theater?
- 17:52Speaker 2: So no, we don't. We are at the very infancy Chandler. Yeah,
- 17:57Speaker 2: I would love I would love to do the Chandler.
- 18:00Speaker 2: So we're at the infancy of this project in retrospects
- 18:04Speaker 2: of production. The musicians, we've been practicing for quite some time.
- 18:10Speaker 2: We spend seven to eight hour rehearsals once a month
- 18:15Speaker 2: where we go through that and then of course heartless stuff.
- 18:19Speaker 2: And then we have been writing and finalizing the script
- 18:24Speaker 2: and retweaking and rethinking and beating ourselves over that with
- 18:29Speaker 2: being creative and having Aha moments since June twenty twenty four.
- 18:36Speaker 2: And then now we're wrapping up the music. So we're
- 18:39Speaker 2: bringing in Dan Flanders right now to start with the
- 18:43Speaker 2: costuming and the set design and how that's going to work.
- 18:48Speaker 2: And I'm now starting to write the stage blocking and
- 18:51Speaker 2: the characterization of how do our musicians play the music
- 18:56Speaker 2: but also show the audience and make the audience feel
- 19:02Speaker 2: what emotion they're playing. So it's not just stagnant playing,
- 19:06Speaker 2: it's acting as well. It's being involved in transit on
- 19:11Speaker 2: the stage and working with Majesty during these ebbs and
- 19:16Speaker 2: flows of his plummet of insanity. I guess at that point, Yeah,
- 19:23Speaker 2: the peak, you know, peak of the show is the
- 19:26Speaker 2: suicide scene. It would be very triggering. Let's talk about it.
- 19:31Speaker 2: How do you get Majesty off the ledge? We do
- 19:34Speaker 2: that and it's dark and it's real, and we get
- 19:39Speaker 2: very emotional when we sing that song. It's Dance with
- 19:43Speaker 2: the Devil by Breaking Benjamin. We'll be doing that and
- 19:47Speaker 2: a waltz at the same time while we sing that.
- 19:50Speaker 2: It's it's very dark.
- 19:53Speaker 1: This is relatable on so many different levels here. I'm
- 19:59Speaker 1: thinking king about all of the different emotions that that
- 20:03Speaker 1: this is going to be embracing. This is really profound stuff, man,
- 20:11Speaker 1: this is who else is doing this?
- 20:16Speaker 4: Actually the the band is Heartless. I'm the only addition
- 20:23Speaker 4: to this one that wasn't originally the plan. Mike Bouclaire,
- 20:29Speaker 4: the drummer, was going to come in with Jazz and
- 20:31Speaker 4: I and then in the search for a league guitar player,
- 20:38Speaker 4: we actually had an audition from Carson, which is one
- 20:41Speaker 4: of the guitar players for Heartless. Yeah, he came into
- 20:45Speaker 4: audition for Majesty of Mayhem and wanted him one hundred percent.
- 20:50Speaker 4: But also when we were about to do the audition,
- 20:53Speaker 4: he just started warming up with Barracuda.
- 20:56Speaker 3: Of course we're we're in the room.
- 20:59Speaker 4: It's it's Heartless Jazz starting singing, and I knew instantly,
- 21:03Speaker 4: and I told her after I said no, no, he's
- 21:06Speaker 4: off limits because she was also looking for a guitar player,
- 21:11Speaker 4: so we both kind of had to get our way
- 21:13Speaker 4: with that. So he was kind of an approach with Carson, Hey,
- 21:17Speaker 4: how do you feel about doing both? And then when
- 21:22Speaker 4: we brought Cobalt in, it was kind of the same thing.
- 21:25Speaker 4: With Cobalt. He was wanting to audition for Heartless. I
- 21:28Speaker 4: wanted him for Majesty in Mayhem. We actually met him
- 21:30Speaker 4: out at live band karaoke he.
- 21:32Speaker 2: Runs live band karaoke and Montpellier at Bent Nails Bistro. Brilliant,
- 21:37Speaker 2: brilliant guy.
- 21:38Speaker 4: The second they started playing, I knew Cobalt was our jester.
- 21:44Speaker 4: I knew immediately. I told her, I said, that's our gester.
- 21:47Speaker 4: And at first he kept turning us down because he
- 21:49Speaker 4: didn't think he was good enough, which is crazy because
- 21:52Speaker 4: he's so good.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Wow.
- 21:55Speaker 4: So and he was auditioning for Heartless and him and
- 21:59Speaker 4: Cobalt into being there the same day for the Majesty
- 22:02Speaker 4: of Mayhem audition, and those two are You know when
- 22:06Speaker 4: you just see two musicians that instantly, it's like they're
- 22:10Speaker 4: almost twins. Just it's instant the way they connected, and
- 22:15Speaker 4: it just kind of it fell into place, you know.
- 22:18Speaker 3: And then Michael Streisberg not his.
- 22:21Speaker 4: Style of music at all, and I think he was
- 22:25Speaker 4: more or less thinking about just coming in to kind
- 22:27Speaker 4: of cover for a bit, and then he found out
- 22:30Speaker 4: that he had a huge love for this music he
- 22:32Speaker 4: did not know he had. And then Dana on keys
- 22:39Speaker 4: and you know her and Jasmine, their harmonies are undeniable together.
- 22:44Speaker 4: So it's just kind of after talking about it, it really
- 22:48Speaker 4: didn't make sense to search for other people when you
- 22:50Speaker 4: already have this core group of musicians that work so
- 22:54Speaker 4: well together on a professional level but also just a
- 22:58Speaker 4: friendship and a respect level.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Yeah, and then for me, it's.
- 23:02Speaker 4: A huge win and I know that it is to
- 23:04Speaker 4: be able to be welcomed into that, you know.
- 23:07Speaker 3: So yeah, I'm I'm really excited.
- 23:10Speaker 4: We really haven't told anybody that it's heartless plus me,
- 23:15Speaker 4: So it's, uh, it's it's been a very quiet thing
- 23:19Speaker 4: the last few months and just been waiting for us
- 23:22Speaker 4: to talk about it.
- 23:23Speaker 3: So I guess we're here talking about.
- 23:24Speaker 1: It that you know, you could sit around you know this,
- 23:28Speaker 1: you could sit around all day for days on end,
- 23:32Speaker 1: and try to cherry pick your cast of characters. But
- 23:38Speaker 1: in the end, it's there's an energy that that that
- 23:42Speaker 1: draws them together that's maybe outside of your yes, your control,
- 23:49Speaker 1: and when when when people just naturally gravitate toward each other,
- 23:55Speaker 1: there's a magic in that that that you absolutely you're
- 23:59Speaker 1: not really driving the bus on.
- 24:01Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, this the newest lineup of Heartless. It feels effortless. Yeah,
- 24:09Speaker 2: it really is.
- 24:11Speaker 1: That doesn't happen all the time.
- 24:13Speaker 2: No, it doesn't. It's something that I'd always strived for
- 24:18Speaker 2: and it just happened upon us. I feel like when
- 24:21Speaker 2: we get on stage, it's not thinking about oh, what
- 24:24Speaker 2: notes next, what lines next, stuff like that, It's about
- 24:27Speaker 2: enjoying that stage together. And we really do. And it's
- 24:31Speaker 2: shifted the show in a very emotional way, which we've
- 24:34Speaker 2: always wanted, you know, with Heartless. But that really propels
- 24:39Speaker 2: itself for majesty of Mayhem, because not only are every
- 24:44Speaker 2: one of our musicians incredibly creative in their mind, very
- 24:47Speaker 2: much like me, you know, and David, it becomes that
- 24:54Speaker 2: that space, safe space to write music together where it
- 25:00Speaker 2: is only positive, there's no negative talk in that space.
- 25:04Speaker 2: Whatever you know, everybody's always ooh, how can we tweak
- 25:07Speaker 2: it like this, or let's try this, or that didn't
- 25:09Speaker 2: quite work, or let's just sit down crisscross apple sauce
- 25:13Speaker 2: with our guitars and figure this little thing out and bam,
- 25:17Speaker 2: there's a product and it's brilliant. I'm able to trust
- 25:22Speaker 2: all of our musicians to be in it one hundred percent.
- 25:27Speaker 2: And we're now starting to walk into that discussion of
- 25:32Speaker 2: portraying those emotions. What are those feelings? How does that
- 25:35Speaker 2: translate to how you play? You know, we see the
- 25:39Speaker 2: Beast who is not as when Majesty's how on his upswing,
- 25:44Speaker 2: he's he's playing his cadence like he normally is. But
- 25:47Speaker 2: when the Beast is raging, Mike is just.
- 25:52Speaker 1: How do you guys? How are you guys getting into
- 25:55Speaker 1: the framework in your mind when you have jobs, you
- 26:02Speaker 1: have this this other life that you you lead. I
- 26:06Speaker 1: mean that that's not let's let's be honest, not really artistic.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Are you distracted during these other chapters of your day
- 26:21Speaker 1: of who you have to be?
- 26:25Speaker 3: Not really?
- 26:25Speaker 1: With your rock opera?
- 26:27Speaker 2: Not really?
- 26:28Speaker 1: I think you're writing a movie, you're writing a book,
- 26:30Speaker 1: you're writing a story.
- 26:33Speaker 2: And that's gotta It's always there. It's always there, it's
- 26:36Speaker 2: always you know, inside of us, and there are moments
- 26:40Speaker 2: of the day where it could trigger an inspiration of
- 26:44Speaker 2: something in the show.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Yeah, but I'm.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Really good at flipping my hats, you know, and saying, okay,
- 26:51Speaker 2: this is you know today, I'm a state worker today,
- 26:53Speaker 2: I'm this today, I'm not I'm a mom, I'm all
- 26:56Speaker 2: those things. Yeah, And then as soon as Dave and
- 27:00Speaker 2: I are in the room, it's like, okay, creative mode, whoop,
- 27:02Speaker 2: here we go and craziness. And I just love this guy.
- 27:07Speaker 2: He and I we just do this, you know. We're
- 27:10Speaker 2: right there with each other and we challenge each other
- 27:12Speaker 2: on the thoughts. There are some ideas. I'm like, oh,
- 27:15Speaker 2: what about this, And he's like, I don't know about that,
- 27:19Speaker 2: what about this? And we just we build it.
- 27:22Speaker 1: It's sometimes, though, amazing that that can get a little
- 27:28Speaker 1: warm where emotions are are getting well. Yeah, but I
- 27:32Speaker 1: really this is my vision. I really, and you kind
- 27:36Speaker 1: of can sink your nails into it a little bit.
- 27:39Speaker 1: And bands break up over this kind of stuff. They
- 27:42Speaker 1: do artistic differences.
- 27:45Speaker 2: We're not scared of being emotional with each other. We
- 27:47Speaker 2: have sobbed in front of each other literally, you know,
- 27:51Speaker 2: it's this type of work is emotional, and so we
- 27:59Speaker 2: have to be one hundred percent vulnerable and truthful with
- 28:02Speaker 2: each other when there's things that trigger us in that show,
- 28:05Speaker 2: and there is there's things that trigger me really bad.
- 28:07Speaker 2: There's things that trigger David really bad. We talk about it,
- 28:11Speaker 2: we walk through it, we modify it, we understand it.
- 28:16Speaker 2: So how we can both approach this one area of
- 28:19Speaker 2: the show of how we can make it better and
- 28:23Speaker 2: how we can make this relatable to our audience. Yeah,
- 28:27Speaker 2: we have a there's a reason it's taken time to
- 28:30Speaker 2: do our script.
- 28:30Speaker 4: And we have a lot of moments where what I
- 28:34Speaker 4: see in my head and what I want to portray
- 28:36Speaker 4: with something is completely different from hers. And I typically
- 28:41Speaker 4: tend to be one of those people that I just
- 28:43Speaker 4: kind of go with the flow, especially if there's if
- 28:46Speaker 4: my counterpartner somebody who's very strong and determined person like
- 28:52Speaker 4: Jasmine Jazzin's usually the type of person that I would
- 28:55Speaker 4: just say, Okay, I'm just gonna follow you.
- 28:57Speaker 3: I'm just going to bow down to it.
- 28:59Speaker 4: But Jasmine is really, I think the first person I've
- 29:01Speaker 4: ever had in my life to where if I don't
- 29:04Speaker 4: agree with her, I'm just upfront and honest with her.
- 29:07Speaker 4: But then she'll explain her point, and a lot of
- 29:10Speaker 4: times it's we find out we're kind of both right,
- 29:13Speaker 4: we just had to figure out how to mess it together.
- 29:16Speaker 4: And we've never hit a moment to where it's like, Okay,
- 29:21Speaker 4: she's really getting under my damn nerves right now, like.
- 29:23Speaker 1: What all of us should be operating this way?
- 29:29Speaker 3: Right? The kid?
- 29:30Speaker 4: Well, really, we also we have that we have a
- 29:34Speaker 4: really good friendship outside of that, so we're also we
- 29:38Speaker 4: both kind of cope with things, I think a lot
- 29:40Speaker 4: of times by laughing and giggling through things. So even
- 29:43Speaker 4: when we're frustrated with each other, I think, are we
- 29:45Speaker 4: just kind of yeah, we don't take it so serious
- 29:49Speaker 4: because it's not so serious, you know, And at the
- 29:53Speaker 4: end of the day, one of us or both of
- 29:55Speaker 4: us is gonna have to budge a little bit on something,
- 29:57Speaker 4: and we do, and it's, you know, we're we're obviously
- 30:02Speaker 4: not one hundred percent. We're not gonna be a hundred
- 30:04Speaker 4: percent exactly lining up all the way through because that'd
- 30:07Speaker 4: be ridiculous to even I just think that that could happen.
- 30:10Speaker 4: But to have a working relationship like this, to where
- 30:13Speaker 4: I can be one hundred percent honest she could be
- 30:14Speaker 4: one hundred percent honest.
- 30:15Speaker 3: With me, and we don't get angry.
- 30:18Speaker 4: We actually appreciate the fact that we have these points
- 30:21Speaker 4: of views, and you know, where I can say, well,
- 30:23Speaker 4: even when it comes down to some of the songs
- 30:25Speaker 4: we're singing. You know, one of the songs we're doing
- 30:29Speaker 4: Creep by Radiohead and we've slowed it down, made it
- 30:32Speaker 4: a ballad duet, you know, And there have been times
- 30:36Speaker 4: even we're working on that, you know, and she said, well,
- 30:38Speaker 4: why don't we hold out this note here? And in
- 30:42Speaker 4: my mind I hear no, Like the word creep is
- 30:44Speaker 4: short because it's in that lost moment. You're not going
- 30:48Speaker 4: to be so much to hold a note out. It's
- 30:50Speaker 4: going to be like a lost moment. So creep is
- 30:52Speaker 4: kind of fading out. It's you're just kind of barely
- 30:55Speaker 4: hitting the word, and it's more of a despair. It's
- 30:58Speaker 4: that low point. Then she's able to see where I
- 31:01Speaker 4: come from and how I envisioned that song, and she's
- 31:04Speaker 4: like okay, and then she's like, I see your point.
- 31:06Speaker 4: So we're doing that here, and there may be somewhere
- 31:09Speaker 4: else she hears or sees something different, and you know.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Especially let's try it and see how it feels.
- 31:17Speaker 4: You know, especially when it comes from an emotional standpoint.
- 31:21Speaker 4: If one of us is very strong and this is
- 31:23Speaker 4: how I connect to this, we're very good at being
- 31:26Speaker 4: able to explain to the other person in a way
- 31:28Speaker 4: that lets him in to where they can understand, and
- 31:32Speaker 4: it kind of completes that story.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Wow. Jasmine White and David Price are my guests this morning.
- 31:39Speaker 1: This is something that has been in the making for
- 31:42Speaker 1: quite a while and still will be for a while
- 31:47Speaker 1: before it actually takes flight. It is a rock opera
- 31:52Speaker 1: that's being written and produced and will be performed locally
- 31:57Speaker 1: called Majesty of Mayhem, hoping that there's going to be
- 32:02Speaker 1: plenty of opportunities to I don't want to say see this,
- 32:06Speaker 1: but experience this right here in Central Vermont. Who else
- 32:10Speaker 1: is creating rock operas like this regionally?
- 32:18Speaker 2: We're hard pressed to find it at this caliper So
- 32:23Speaker 2: we feel like this is kind of one of it's
- 32:26Speaker 2: kind right now. Intentionally, we want to be able to
- 32:30Speaker 2: really own this process and be really real with our
- 32:36Speaker 2: audience too. This is a personal journey for both of us.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Wow.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Yeah, and we have so we're building the show to
- 32:48Speaker 2: eventually tour. We would love to be able to tour
- 32:51Speaker 2: this out because the mental health awareness doesn't happen just
- 32:56Speaker 2: in Vermont. No, we yeah, we want to talk about
- 32:59Speaker 2: it hard we can.
- 33:01Speaker 1: And your set builder again, Danders, He's so he's making
- 33:07Speaker 1: things that have got to be able to move.
- 33:10Speaker 4: Yeah, because we have full full set design and so
- 33:14Speaker 4: you know, there's gonna be a castle scene with balconies,
- 33:18Speaker 4: there's gonna be a scene with dining room table and chairs.
- 33:23Speaker 2: The Beast sits on the Majesty's thrown with his drum.
- 33:26Speaker 2: Set like it's you know, the.
- 33:31Speaker 3: My quarters and her quarters.
- 33:32Speaker 4: So there's full bedroom, set changes, costume changes, it's it's
- 33:37Speaker 4: constantly flowing. So it's going to be a big it's
- 33:41Speaker 4: going to be a big tech crew because also in
- 33:44Speaker 4: those transitions with projection, smoke and lighting pieces are going
- 33:48Speaker 4: to be coming in and out. There's there's a lot
- 33:54Speaker 4: to it, and Dan protectly has a lot on his plate.
- 33:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm imagining myself as Dan right now. I'm stressed out.
- 34:02Speaker 3: Oh that's Dan.
- 34:03Speaker 2: But no, he has got one of the coolest creative
- 34:08Speaker 2: minds I've ever met. He really thinks that he gets it.
- 34:12Speaker 2: He gets it, He thinks outside of the box.
- 34:14Speaker 3: He stay job, he works. He builds props for movies
- 34:20Speaker 3: and ah museums.
- 34:24Speaker 4: He actually works for a company I don't know the
- 34:25Speaker 4: name of it here in Barry, so that's what he does.
- 34:31Speaker 4: He just built a giant Jaws Jaws bust for the
- 34:35Speaker 4: museum in.
- 34:38Speaker 3: No wherever Jaws was set at.
- 34:42Speaker 1: You know, I get folks in here who joined me
- 34:47Speaker 1: on the air and have for years that are very
- 34:50Speaker 1: right brained, and then I've got folks that are very
- 34:53Speaker 1: left brained. But the ones that really fascinate me are
- 34:58Speaker 1: the ones that can perform on a new killer level
- 35:03Speaker 1: on both sides. And that is really amazing to me.
- 35:08Speaker 1: That is so fascinating that you guys, we're all such
- 35:14Speaker 1: interesting creatures, are we not.
- 35:17Speaker 2: Yes, we're all very deep and complex too.
- 35:21Speaker 1: So we all have our own very unique and private
- 35:26Speaker 1: life experiences. How we take things, how we digest them
- 35:32Speaker 1: or not, and what we carry around, what we carry around,
- 35:39Speaker 1: and we all know what it is that we carry around.
- 35:42Speaker 1: We may not have it written on our shirt sleeve,
- 35:47Speaker 1: but when we sit down in the audience, for majesty
- 35:51Speaker 1: of Mayhem. It's going to tap into that. No matter
- 35:58Speaker 1: what it is, it's going to tap in do it.
- 36:00Speaker 4: Yeah, because it's it's literally an hour and a half
- 36:03Speaker 4: of people watching if they really look at the show
- 36:06Speaker 4: from their own perspective, they're watching their emotions, who they are,
- 36:11Speaker 4: everything they go through or could go through, or you know,
- 36:15Speaker 4: even if somebody doesn't get to the point they feel
- 36:17Speaker 4: like ending their life is something that you need to do,
- 36:20Speaker 4: most people know somebody who's been to that point. So
- 36:23Speaker 4: there's this understanding or even if it's not so far
- 36:26Speaker 4: like I'm going to take it, there that fleeting thought
- 36:29Speaker 4: and it's a way of putting it in a safe
- 36:33Speaker 4: space to where they can see that but also see
- 36:37Speaker 4: that there is hope to overcome those things.
- 36:40Speaker 1: Sure, so it's a yeah.
- 36:43Speaker 4: Like I said, it's something that I think everybody can
- 36:45Speaker 4: relate relate to, just kind of through the almost a
- 36:49Speaker 4: medieval times type of settings, you know.
- 36:53Speaker 1: You know, the big attraction, I think one of the
- 36:56Speaker 1: biggest attractions to this, in the addition to what you're saying,
- 37:01Speaker 1: is look, Vermons, we love entertainment. We have thirteen months
- 37:09Speaker 1: of winter up here. We need to get out of
- 37:12Speaker 1: the house. We need to go and experience things, like
- 37:16Speaker 1: you say, in a safe space, in a confined area
- 37:19Speaker 1: where we can enjoy music. We love big shows when
- 37:23Speaker 1: they come into our state, but ones that are being
- 37:27Speaker 1: produced and performed organically and created right here in the
- 37:32Speaker 1: Green Mountains by vermontors. Is in a special attraction for
- 37:39Speaker 1: something like this, I think anyway.
- 37:42Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not something we often do see. And there's
- 37:50Speaker 2: a lot of wonderful community theater around the state, and
- 37:53Speaker 2: there's some incredible bands in the state, but you don't
- 37:58Speaker 2: see them together. Yeah, right, So for this you will
- 38:02Speaker 2: that that's it's a game changer.
- 38:04Speaker 1: Are you are you hoping? Are you are you thinking? Gosh?
- 38:11Speaker 1: I you know, I I really wish the Flynn is
- 38:16Speaker 1: listening maybe some day and paying attention, because this sounds
- 38:20Speaker 1: like something that you guys could easily fill the twenty
- 38:25Speaker 1: five hundred.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Let's hope, right, They've got to build it and they
- 38:29Speaker 2: will come.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Yeah, you got to build it.
- 38:31Speaker 2: Yeah, but yeah, that's I mean, that's the intention the staging.
- 38:36Speaker 2: It's not something for a small theater, it wouldn't fit.
- 38:41Speaker 2: So with that in mind, we gotta build this just right.
- 38:47Speaker 2: And that's so that brings us kind of to our
- 38:49Speaker 2: next step about, uh, why we wanted to start talking
- 38:53Speaker 2: about it and at this point because we're looking for
- 38:59Speaker 2: those that want to engage with the mission, who are
- 39:02Speaker 2: creative people who want to be involved in the production,
- 39:07Speaker 2: and importantly sponsors, you know, finding finding support out there
- 39:13Speaker 2: to help, whether that's set build or tour funds or
- 39:19Speaker 2: marketing and advertising. You know, all of our shows will
- 39:23Speaker 2: have playbills to them that we create so that we
- 39:27Speaker 2: can have this be a community project in a way.
- 39:31Speaker 2: It's not just about us and you know the musicians.
- 39:37Speaker 2: The musicians get paid, but underneath the rest of the stuff,
- 39:41Speaker 2: it gets cycled in the show to make it bigger,
- 39:43Speaker 2: better and further outreach. That that is the goal. I
- 39:49Speaker 2: want to be able to meet people at the end
- 39:51Speaker 2: of the show, or David meet people at the end
- 39:53Speaker 2: of the show and have that raw human connection. Yeah wow,
- 39:57Speaker 2: that that get home from or you know, thank you
- 40:04Speaker 2: for saying what I'm feeling, feeling or not able to say,
- 40:08Speaker 2: or that that's what it's about. It's not about the money.
- 40:13Speaker 2: It's about connection and having people be raw enough to
- 40:20Speaker 2: talk about it instead of just putting a medication on it.
- 40:25Speaker 2: Or putting a label on it, or putting it in
- 40:28Speaker 2: the software you know, wow.
- 40:30Speaker 4: Or the fact a lot of people stigmatize anything related
- 40:35Speaker 4: to mental health. They they look at it as a detriment,
- 40:39Speaker 4: as something to look down on. And the reality is
- 40:42Speaker 4: we all have mental health struggles every song on some level,
- 40:47Speaker 4: and there's no reason to look at it in a
- 40:51Speaker 4: negative light, even if it's something negative you're going through.
- 40:55Speaker 4: And that's really what this show is about, is the yeah,
- 40:58Speaker 4: that negative is happening, down is happening, but there is
- 41:01Speaker 4: hope a way to overcome that.
- 41:05Speaker 1: We all we all have our egos that get in
- 41:09Speaker 1: the way of our vulnerability, majesty.
- 41:14Speaker 2: That's that's part of that. And into it as well
- 41:17Speaker 2: is that resistance. Oh I'm fine, I'm I you.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Know, I just had a friend not long ago say
- 41:24Speaker 1: oh my god, oh my god, I think I might
- 41:28Speaker 1: be on the spectrum, and I'm like, bro, We're all
- 41:34Speaker 1: on the spectrum somewhere, all of us. Yeah, absolutely, God, man,
- 41:40Speaker 1: get over yourself.
- 41:42Speaker 2: And and it's okay, it's okay. We're everybody is unique
- 41:47Speaker 2: and individual, and you know, we all have our strengths
- 41:51Speaker 2: and our weaknesses. We all it's all okay.
- 41:55Speaker 4: And I think there's also an aspect to it of
- 42:00Speaker 4: you know, a little bit, actually a lot of bit.
- 42:02Speaker 3: There's a in the world.
- 42:05Speaker 4: There tends to also be a lot of toxic masculinity,
- 42:09Speaker 4: and a lot of times with men, they're afraid to
- 42:13Speaker 4: touch those emotions.
- 42:15Speaker 5: And then this putting, putting me in that in this seat,
- 42:22Speaker 5: I think is a way for a lot of men
- 42:26Speaker 5: to see that it is okay to attack these these emotions.
- 42:31Speaker 4: Because this is not a show. I'm I'm probably gonna
- 42:33Speaker 4: cry through it. There's there's gonna be all those emotions,
- 42:37Speaker 4: you know, because there are some songs that have a
- 42:40Speaker 4: much deeper meaning to me that a lot of people
- 42:42Speaker 4: may not really understand going through there. Sure, and even
- 42:46Speaker 4: when we're rehearsing, we just we dive into those emotions
- 42:51Speaker 4: because it's the only way we're going to be able
- 42:52Speaker 4: to connect.
- 42:53Speaker 3: Yeah, And you know, for me, it's it's a lot
- 42:55Speaker 3: of people who.
- 42:58Speaker 4: Look like me, act like me, seeing that it's okay
- 43:01Speaker 4: to be vulnerable, it's okay to let that out, you know,
- 43:07Speaker 4: because like I said, a lot of times, it's that
- 43:09Speaker 4: toxic masculinity.
- 43:10Speaker 3: It's I can't show my emotion. I can't cry.
- 43:12Speaker 4: I have to be this tough person, and it kind
- 43:15Speaker 4: of it, you know, show starts out from the toughest
- 43:18Speaker 4: that Majesty can be to literally on the floor crying. Sure,
- 43:23Speaker 4: and so it really does give a safe space. And
- 43:28Speaker 4: you know, I think the way I look at it,
- 43:29Speaker 4: if the entire audience is crying at the halfway point,
- 43:33Speaker 4: we've already accomplished our our goal, because then everybody's they're
- 43:39Speaker 4: letting go and understanding the emotion, you know, and then
- 43:43Speaker 4: hopefully they stick around for the second half, you know,
- 43:47Speaker 4: and they can realize that there's also the positive out
- 43:50Speaker 4: of that, and you can celebrate overcoming those things and
- 43:53Speaker 4: not look at the stigma of it.
- 43:56Speaker 1: Any anyone, any business that's listening right now might be
- 44:00Speaker 1: interested in attaching themselves to this rock opera, Majesty of
- 44:09Speaker 1: Mayhem coming in about a year. What do they do?
- 44:16Speaker 1: Do they reach out to you jas.
- 44:17Speaker 2: Yes, yes, reach out to myself or reach out to
- 44:20Speaker 2: David and we will talk about, you know, what some
- 44:26Speaker 2: of the show needs are, how they would want to
- 44:30Speaker 2: be represented, and it's really fluid right now. Any any
- 44:35Speaker 2: support we would love or ideas or ideas, absolutely, and
- 44:41Speaker 2: nothing is too small.
- 44:42Speaker 4: Or even if it gets down somebody out there's listening
- 44:46Speaker 4: and they just want to help paint some set pieces.
- 44:50Speaker 3: When it gets to it, let's do it.
- 44:52Speaker 4: I'm more than happy to take those people to help
- 44:54Speaker 4: with that because it's you know, a lot of what
- 44:56Speaker 4: I think we've both done with productions is hands on.
- 45:00Speaker 3: There's a lot to do.
- 45:01Speaker 4: There's a lot of gluing and painting and sure ryan
- 45:04Speaker 4: stoning and nails.
- 45:07Speaker 3: There's a lot of that stuff.
- 45:08Speaker 4: So even if people don't want to dive in or
- 45:11Speaker 4: they can't dive in monetarily to help sure, if they
- 45:13Speaker 4: want to get behind the story and help set builds
- 45:16Speaker 4: or promotion anything, just help get the word out.
- 45:20Speaker 2: If they want to go on the road and be
- 45:21Speaker 2: a part of the backstage production, or if somebody is
- 45:24Speaker 2: really keen on you know, lighting changes or costume changes
- 45:29Speaker 2: or whatever that is. It's a community build and eventually
- 45:35Speaker 2: it'll be able to sustain itself. So we hope out
- 45:38Speaker 2: on the road where that becomes more of a you know,
- 45:42Speaker 2: a paid full tour type of thing. Right now, our
- 45:46Speaker 2: hands are organic, we're in it, our hands are in
- 45:48Speaker 2: the dirt, and we're building.
- 45:51Speaker 1: This is fascinating. Obviously, we're gonna get you back in
- 45:56Speaker 1: here maybe, and you tell me when when the time
- 46:01Speaker 1: is is right, Yeah, we'll get you back in here
- 46:05Speaker 1: and remind folks that this is coming and it's huge. Yeah,
- 46:11Speaker 1: it huge.
- 46:13Speaker 2: Let me get some of our crew in here as
- 46:14Speaker 2: well and talk about how emotions it. I would love
- 46:18Speaker 2: to have Dan here with us too, to talk about
- 46:21Speaker 2: the set build and promote what he does for work.
- 46:24Speaker 3: Yeah, definitely check out Dan.
- 46:26Speaker 4: He had Manic Mart, which you can find on Facebook
- 46:29Speaker 4: Green Mountains of Madness.
- 46:30Speaker 3: He runs that they have a lot of really cool events.
- 46:34Speaker 4: If you're into anything medieval horror related. Yeah, wow, spooky
- 46:40Speaker 4: season three hundred and sixty five days a year, that's
- 46:42Speaker 4: the group for you.
- 46:44Speaker 3: So, you know, bringing Dan in just made all the
- 46:47Speaker 3: sense in the world. It's a show.
- 46:50Speaker 2: His big task is designing Beast's mass so that it's
- 46:55Speaker 2: adaptable to someone who's playing the drums, sweating a lot,
- 46:58Speaker 2: you know, all those things, but also assimilating the same
- 47:02Speaker 2: type of mass for Majesty, but in pieces so that
- 47:06Speaker 2: we can build the Beast through the show and break
- 47:09Speaker 2: it apart during the redemption. So he's so creative. I'm excited.
- 47:14Speaker 1: We were just just last weekend in Salem, Massachusetts. Wow,
- 47:24Speaker 1: have you been during or close to Halloween?
- 47:28Speaker 2: It's been a long time in Salem.
- 47:32Speaker 1: Holy crapy first two days before Halloween.
- 47:38Speaker 4: I don't necessarily know you want to go two days
- 47:40Speaker 4: before because you can't move.
- 47:42Speaker 2: I'm telling you, JD. Wait, do you see my house?
- 47:45Speaker 2: It spoke to the nut. I'm sure it is.
- 47:49Speaker 1: I can only imagine. I mean, there was there was
- 47:52Speaker 1: a clown walking around on stilts and it was just
- 47:56Speaker 1: like the scariest freakin' I mean, you know, here's me
- 48:01Speaker 1: and adultamly you. It's Halloween. I'm not really scared of anything,
- 48:05Speaker 1: you know, but this Halloween has or this this that
- 48:09Speaker 1: clown towering over me looking down at me, uh is
- 48:14Speaker 1: something that has uh may or may not have been
- 48:17Speaker 1: renting a little bit of space in my mind over
- 48:19Speaker 1: us over the last couple of days or so. I mean,
- 48:22Speaker 1: this is unbelievable, man, It's really it's incredible. I can't
- 48:26Speaker 1: wait to experience this. I really can't.
- 48:30Speaker 2: We can't wait to deliver it and just be super
- 48:33Speaker 2: real with people. It's it's been at least for me,
- 48:38Speaker 2: it's writing this with David has been a big life changer.
- 48:43Speaker 2: And it's forced me, especially in the last you know,
- 48:46Speaker 2: year and a half, to really dive a little deeper
- 48:49Speaker 2: on my own mental health. Yeah, and identify that in
- 48:53Speaker 2: a different lens. I think it's helped a lot with
- 48:56Speaker 2: some things that I struggle with and.
- 48:59Speaker 1: We man, we all struggle with stuff. Some of us
- 49:05Speaker 1: verbalize and others Barry Yeah, yeah, yeah for sure. And
- 49:14Speaker 1: that's I think that's just something that we can all
- 49:18Speaker 1: relate to on some level. And relatability is it's the
- 49:27Speaker 1: peg that I try to hang my hat on here.
- 49:30Speaker 1: It aired out more than anything else. And there's a
- 49:33Speaker 1: couple of a couple of big things, but that's probably
- 49:37Speaker 1: the biggest right there.
- 49:39Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 49:41Speaker 1: I can't thank you both enough.
- 49:43Speaker 2: Thank you JD for having us to talk about this project.
- 49:49Speaker 4: And yeah, we really haven't put a lot out there.
- 49:53Speaker 4: It's you know, we have we have our social media,
- 49:56Speaker 4: but it's kind of sparse.
- 49:58Speaker 2: Right now, it is. But in the first forty eight
- 50:01Speaker 2: hours we hit just over five hundred followers immediately, So
- 50:05Speaker 2: we haven't we haven't dived into the marketing piece. That's
- 50:10Speaker 2: something that we're looking for sponsoring with because we're not
- 50:14Speaker 2: ready to launch and we're not quite there. To use
- 50:17Speaker 2: what we have in the show for the meeting. Yeah,
- 50:20Speaker 2: we've got to do it right right, So it's now
- 50:23Speaker 2: in our sight of what we want to have. So
- 50:27Speaker 2: anybody that I've talked about it privately with has said, oh, yes,
- 50:33Speaker 2: I'm ready. I want to see that. You know, there's interest,
- 50:36Speaker 2: There's a lot of interest out there. Yeah, a lot
- 50:38Speaker 2: of great questions that come so I'm sure.
- 50:42Speaker 4: Yeah, there's just been a lot of I've had a
- 50:45Speaker 4: lot of people ask who's even in the band. They
- 50:46Speaker 4: know Jazz and I are doing it, but everything has
- 50:50Speaker 4: been kind of secretive about who's.
- 50:52Speaker 3: Been in it.
- 50:53Speaker 4: So I'm excited to be able to kind of pull
- 50:56Speaker 4: that band aid off finally, because you know, I'm really
- 51:00Speaker 4: proud of these musicians.
- 51:01Speaker 3: They're amazing.
- 51:02Speaker 4: So to be welcomed into that is like for me
- 51:06Speaker 4: mind blowing, you know, because I've been doing music for
- 51:10Speaker 4: thirty years and you know, I've played in bands. I've
- 51:14Speaker 4: never played with musicians at this caliber. So it's one
- 51:19Speaker 4: of those things you always dream of and then to
- 51:22Speaker 4: actually just be like, oh, they're welcoming me in. And
- 51:26Speaker 4: it's also the flow in that room, the energy and
- 51:29Speaker 4: the support. It's you know, we have big hopes that
- 51:34Speaker 4: it could be a national tour. I mean, that's what
- 51:37Speaker 4: we'd all really like. But for me, even just to
- 51:39Speaker 4: be at practice with these musicians is already a dream
- 51:43Speaker 4: come true for me, So I'm excited for everybody else
- 51:46Speaker 4: to get to see it.
- 51:47Speaker 1: Wow, good stuff, man, great stuff, amazing. You've sparked a
- 51:55Speaker 1: lot of interest. I think this morning coming in here,
- 52:00Speaker 1: this is gonna be big, Majesty of Mayhem. It's a
- 52:03Speaker 1: rock opera and man, it is coming. It is unstoppable.
- 52:08Speaker 1: And be on the watch of the aired out Facebook
- 52:12Speaker 1: page beyond the listen, we're paying attention. Jazz and I
- 52:16Speaker 1: are going to stay closely in touch and we're going
- 52:21Speaker 1: to get you back in here, both of you, plus
- 52:23Speaker 1: plus Jasmin White and David Price this morning. Thank you
- 52:28Speaker 1: both so much. Appreciate you.
- 52:30Speaker 2: We love you guys. Everybody and be kind.
