- 0:00Blitz Bama Blitz baby blitz Bama blitz baby. That's right. Yeah, we gotta talk about it
- 0:05We gotta talk about the tide. Okay, cuz guess what? We don't give a piss about nothing but the tide
- 0:14Nothing but the tide roll
- 0:17Okay, we got a lot to talk about in this episode
- 0:20But when I talk about college football first then we get into the meat and potatoes and the biscuits and whatnot of
- 0:27NFL football, okay, the tide continues to roll on okay, Colorado
- 0:33Just stomps stampede stomps UFC. Okay, they didn't just go just to Florida
- 0:40Just to go to Disneyland. No, no, no, no, no, they went there with a mission
- 0:44They went there with a goal they went there to seek and destroy and to stomp them out
- 0:49And then that's exactly what happened. That's exactly what happened as well as
- 0:55Kevin O'Connell has spoken out about quarterbacks in the or in the organization now
- 1:01We'll say this it's a very very very very very very very
- 1:05Weird time to talk about that only because of everything that's transpired with Bryce young
- 1:10But we have a lot to talk about with all of that in more. Okay, as well as the Vikings
- 1:15Possibly having the best offense. We're not even the best offense the best team in the league right now
- 1:20The Eagles their wings are hurting right now. They're eagle there. Their wings are clipped. Okay, they're trying to fly
- 1:27But they can't fly they can't do it right now because why the buccaneers?
- 1:31Stomped them grilled them sauteed them rosary
- 1:34not rosary rotisserie
- 1:37Turned them off is this gonna be great episode as well as the chiefs are hurting
- 1:42Okay, the chiefs are hurting the chiefs are in a situation the chiefs are
- 1:46Basically like that little person from Spongebob where he came out of the
- 1:51We came out of his house every morning. I break my arms and every night I break my legs
- 1:57That's exactly what the chiefs are going through right now
- 2:00Jacksonville
- 2:02There's some trouble in Jacksonville man. Just everything is just happening in Florida. I don't know why man
- 2:07It's I don't know what it is a lot of crazy things are happening in Florida
- 2:12And you know what I think we do have to talk about the Ravens
- 2:15I know it's not in my notes, but we do have to talk about the Ravens. Okay, all of this and more, okay on the 36th episode
- 2:22Okay of the greatest football podcast you can possibly listen to on a week to week basis, okay?
- 2:29I am your host, okay your chief head of the table your chief
- 2:34Meteorologist not meteorologist bag row Domus, okay?
- 2:38Because why my predictions they have come forth and they will continue to come forth because I am back row
- 2:44Domus
- 2:46Okay, I'm all these things and more okay, but the most important title that I am but wait
- 2:51I forgot I'm currently a former GM who currently is not on the team right now
- 2:56But guess what just know I got my draft board ready
- 3:00I got my draft prospects ready and we're about to hit the road again
- 3:03We're gonna start in Texas the great state of Texas. Okay. I am all of this and more but most importantly
- 3:09I am your host
- 3:11Your man with your man with the plan with the predictions and everything and more
- 3:16Your man Kale, let's lock in. I
- 3:41Don't give a piss about number the tide baby the tide the tide the tide the tide the tide the tide the tide
- 3:49Did its thing on Saturday now? I will say this I will say this
- 3:54I definitely thought the game was gonna be a whole lot better, but um
- 3:59No
- 4:01No, no, no, no, no, no this this was
- 4:06Oh man, everyone was hyping. Oh, this is gonna be your preview for the playoffs and all this different type of stuff
- 4:14Blah blah blah. No wasn't no wasn't because if this was this is the preview of a beatdown
- 4:19Okay, this is the preview of someone getting the brakes beaten down
- 4:25For four quarters straight. Okay, nothing but ruthless aggression. Okay now
- 4:33Let's get into everything. All right, so
- 4:36Bama and George have played on Saturday. I did watch the whole game. It was definitely really good game
- 4:42I'm not gonna lie. It definitely was a really good game
- 4:45It was worth watching but I think what needs to be talked about is the transition
- 4:50That has transpired with Alabama now a lot of times when a team whatever
- 4:57Whatever level that they are or that be and you know in college or even in the pros a lot of times
- 5:02When they transition from you know a great player or even great coaching a lot of times there is a struggle, right?
- 5:11And there hasn't really been a struggle so far. It really hasn't you know from them to transition from the greatness
- 5:18That is Nick Saban all the way to now Kailin DeBoer
- 5:22It's been it's been going well the offenses is is to me seems like it's more lethal
- 5:28The defense is doing their thing all in all Alabama looks like they still got the juice
- 5:35Okay, I don't care where anyone says I know George has been doing their thing. They've been having their time
- 5:40They've been you know this than the other blah blah blah. I get all that but guess what the tide is back
- 5:47It is back in full effect. Okay, so let's just get into these stat lines and then we would go from there, okay?
- 5:55So I'm starting to do a little bit of a different format to breaking everything's up by the teams and whatnot
- 6:00You know what listening to all right, so Jalen mill mill roll cornerback for the for Adela
- 6:06Bama
- 6:0827 for 20 27 for 33
- 6:11374 yards 81.8 completion percentage to touchdowns one pick in a QBR of 98.5
- 6:18Ryan Williams the receiver
- 6:20legend
- 6:22That's all I'm gonna say if you want to know what it is
- 6:26Better yet. I'll just let you do it yourself legend six receptions
- 6:31177 yards one touchdown. Okay now for Georgia side Carson Beck
- 6:3627 for 50
- 6:38439 yards a 54 completion percentage three touchdowns three interceptions in a QBR of
- 6:4570.1 Trevor Etn 12 carries for 55 yards
- 6:494.6 yards to carry in one touchdown now when we look at this right
- 6:55Leading into this there was this was definitely the preview of you know, not only for what the playoffs will look like
- 7:02But as well as you know
- 7:04Players that you know, they're they're draft stock may go up may go down
- 7:08Even for the Heisman right a lot of a lot of things were riding on this game, right?
- 7:15Because this game could determine if you were gonna be a second or third round pick or maybe even the first round pick
- 7:21Not to mention it would also determine where you lie on the Heisman race
- 7:27Okay, because if we can be real here, you know this I don't I don't think this is gonna be
- 7:33You know this this type of Heisman race where it's gonna be a whole bunch of people
- 7:37Why not know if we're being real here and this is just my personal opinion
- 7:41I think there's probably less than six or seven people that are in my opinion
- 7:47The clear-cut people that are going to be competing for the Heisman Jalen Milrow
- 7:53Shador Sanders Travis Hunter and
- 7:57I forgot his name. Oh
- 7:59Ashton
- 8:00Gene Gene Genesie Gentile. I don't know how pronounce your last name my bad, bro
- 8:06Those are the people right now in my mind that are the clear-cut, you know
- 8:12Competitors for the Heisman simply because of you know, just of well, you know what I'll I'll I'll get into that
- 8:19I'll I'm gonna head myself. I'm definitely gonna head myself. But when we look at this
- 8:25This game definitely showed a lot that no matter what Georgia does Alabama still has their number, right?
- 8:33Alabama has been the kryptonite for Kirby Smith for the last few years now, right?
- 8:40And you know even even now you people would have thought okay
- 8:46They got a new head coach things might be different their culture might be different all those different types of things
- 8:51No, it is still the same way. They are still doing the same things and it shows Jalen Milrow
- 8:58Probably had one of his best games last night. I mean Saturday night. He was doing him
- 9:04He looked like Lamar Jackson on Saturday night. I'm talking about he was rushing making touchdowns
- 9:11He was throwing everything was just connecting everything. It was like art
- 9:17That's the best way to describe it. It was like art and
- 9:22You know when we look at this
- 9:24This is a situation where you know Jalen Milrow looks he he looks more polished
- 9:31He looks more effective as a passer
- 9:34He just looks all around like a really good quarterback
- 9:38Because in my mind leading up to this game
- 9:40I felt that Jalen Milrow was probably gonna be a late a late first round
- 9:46Maybe an early second round pick but after Saturday night after Saturday night's game
- 9:50I would not be surprised if he's drafted a little bit higher. I would not be surprised only because
- 9:57He he bowled out. He did his thing. He did his thing not to mention Ryan Williams
- 10:04Keep right on him keep right on Ryan Williams because Ryan Williams is
- 10:10That is a beast a beast of a receiver a
- 10:14Beast okay when he made that one catch and then he juke the two George defenders and then score the touchdown come on man
- 10:22Come on man. Come on man. Man. Man. Oh man. Oh man Ryan Williams
- 10:28Keep your eye on Ryan Williams and mind you. I think he's only
- 10:3217 or 18 years old
- 10:34greatness
- 10:36Greatness now moving on to Colorado because I'm gonna dedicate this first part to college football
- 10:42Colorado Colorado
- 10:46Whoo Colorado did their thing. Okay, Colorado
- 10:51Stampeded you UFC. Okay, they did their thing. They they bawled out. Okay, and you know
- 11:00It definitely showed a lot
- 11:02Shador is starting to say Shador is looking more comfortable in the pocket
- 11:06He the the the protection is starting to get better. Everything is a starting to look really good for the offense and that's great
- 11:13That's what that is what we have been looking for up into this point because
- 11:18It's starting to look a little bit shaky in in the earlier parts of of the college football season
- 11:23But now it's starting to look like they've gotten to you know, they're starting to you know, figure things out, which is great
- 11:30It's absolutely great because you know
- 11:33When you look at them on Saturday
- 11:36They were starting to rely more in the running game and even when they did guess what they were parting the Red Sea
- 11:42They they you're talking about
- 11:45huge
- 11:46Open lanes for the running back to go through. I'm talking about they are moving people away. Okay, if you want to see a
- 11:54Security detail these are the people that you need because guess what they're gonna move people out the way and that's exactly what they did
- 12:01Now before we move any further though, I do I do think it's it's time
- 12:06We address something though that has that needs to be talked about. Okay, and that's a metric that you know
- 12:13I have gotten over and I have said a few times and you're probably wondering. What is it?
- 12:18QBR, right? So QBR, okay, it's basically it's a metric. Mmm. That's trick metric
- 12:25Okay, that is based off of play-by-play
- 12:27Such as you know down distance fuel position clock score and everything else, right?
- 12:33And so basically it is a metric to determine exactly the performance of a quarterback, right?
- 12:40And basically they have a scale so the scale is from zero to a hundred. Okay, 50 is is considered average
- 12:48Okay, anything above 75 is considered of course above average, right and anything below 25 is considered trash
- 12:56Okay, now the elite quarterbacks a lot of them have you know, their their QBRs are mainly in the 80s and 90s and whatnot
- 13:03So whenever you hear QBR remember those remember those numbers. Okay, that's a junkie knuck it for you
- 13:10So when we look at things right in sort of sort of entail that to you know back into the conversation with college football
- 13:18Jaylin Milrow if he was the basis if he was the base everything by his QBR had a had an acceptable
- 13:25Can't speak an exceptional game, right?
- 13:28Compared to Carson Beck Carson Beck basically had a somewhat average to slightly above average
- 13:36Game and then we look at Shador Shador had an above average game 89.1 and then KJ
- 13:43Jefferson had somewhat of a below average type of game now when we look at things going back to Colorado as well
- 13:52Shador Sanders basically was 28 for 35
- 13:55290 yards 80% 80 can speak 80 completion percentage as well as
- 14:02Three touchdowns one pick right Travis Hunter legend nine receptions for 89 yards
- 14:109.9 yards per reception and a touchdown. Okay, that's for Colorado now for the other side
- 14:16Okay, UCF so KJ Jefferson was 20 for 35
- 14:19284 yards a 57.1 completion percentage two touchdowns two picks and a well
- 14:26I always had the QBR, but I'll just say it again
- 14:2924.9 QBR and then we look at RJ Harvey
- 14:32He was 16 carries for 77 yards
- 14:364.8 yards a carry his receiving stats on the other hand for receptions 92 yards
- 14:4123 yards per reception and one touchdown now when we look at this
- 14:44Colorado was being dominant on all levels of the game. Okay, when we look at it
- 14:50You know, they were just as dominant on offense as they were on defense, right?
- 14:54And you know, if we're being real here, they're doing their thing. They're doing it. See this is when you can have
- 15:03Celebrities on the sideline and the celebrations in the locker room on those different types of things, right?
- 15:07This is when you can do it because you're winning, but you cannot do it when you're not winning, right?
- 15:13That's that's the that was my only point that I was trying to put out there when I was sort of not necessarily
- 15:20Scalding Colorado, but sort of like talking about there there that debacle with with Colorado is
- 15:25It's okay for certain things to happen when you're winning, but when you're not winning
- 15:30That's when you have to focus right and so, you know, this sort of is another sort of, you know
- 15:36Full-front moment is this, you know
- 15:39How can I say this? The race for the Heisman is very it's gonna be very close
- 15:45It's gonna be very very very close because have
- 15:49Charles I mean not Charles not not yet. You have Travis Hunter who was doing something that
- 15:56Only Charles Woodson and Dion has been able to do right you have Shador Sanders. Who's balling you have J.
- 16:04The Monroe who's balling and then you have that running back from from Boise State
- 16:10Who is also balling as well?
- 16:13Do you want to know his carry? Do you want to know his stats right now folks his stats right now this season?
- 16:1982 carries for
- 16:21845 yards 13 touchdowns and he averages
- 16:2610.3 yards of care. I'm gonna say that again a little bit closer into the mic so you can understand what I'm saying
- 16:31Ashton Jen Jean Jean tree. I don't you know what I don't even know how to pronounce his last name
- 16:36But just ashton Boise State if you go on ESPN type in Ashton, he's the first person pop up. Okay?
- 16:4282 carries for
- 16:44845 yards 13 touchdowns
- 16:4810.3 yards per carry
- 16:51Now when we look at the other games, right?
- 16:55They're their game on the 28th
- 16:5726 carries for 259 yards for touchdown 10 yards a carry when we look at the game that they had on the 21st
- 17:0511 carries for 127 yards
- 17:0811.5 yards a carry when we look on the 7th. Okay 25 carries for 192 yards 3 touchdowns
- 17:167.7 yards a carry. Okay when we look at it
- 17:19I feel like those are gonna be the main people that everyone is gonna be focused on for the Heisman
- 17:24I truly believe that and I think you know for someone like Travis Hunter
- 17:29I think it's really gonna come down between him and Shador. I really do
- 17:34I think whoever has the better performance out of the two
- 17:37I think will represent, you know, Colorado when it comes to the Heisman now
- 17:43Do I think it could be Travis Hunter over Shador?
- 17:45I don't know because again the Heisman is a little bit tricky because it is a
- 17:51It's an award that you know, there has just as many quarterbacks as there is running backs in the Heisman
- 17:58You know group collector whatever you want to call it, right?
- 18:01And there's not a whole lot of people like what Travis Hunter and Charles Woodson and Dion has has been able to do right?
- 18:07So it's just a lot, but you know stay tuned because I'm telling you when we get close to the Heisman
- 18:14Then we're gonna go we're gonna go deep. We are going to do a deep dive into everything
- 18:19I'm telling you we're gonna be doing cars football
- 18:23episodes soon, so just stay tuned now
- 18:26Let's get into the real
- 18:28Meats and potatoes of what everything is going on in the league. Okay now Kevin O'Connell
- 18:37Vikings head coach had something to say that I think definitely needs to be talked about definitely needs to be discussed
- 18:43So I think on the rich eyes and show if I'm not mistaken. He basically was asked about you know
- 18:50his opinion on quarterbacks and you know
- 18:55Organizations and those different types of things and I'm guessing this is all because of what's been going on with the whole
- 19:00Bryce young situation, right?
- 19:02And so this is basically what he says and I quote
- 19:06Organizations fail young quarterbacks before young quarterbacks fail
- 19:09Organizations now this is what I will say
- 19:13He is he does have a point
- 19:15He does have a point because when we look at it a lot of times the quarterback does not have
- 19:22the control of going in dictating where they wanting to go right now the only person I was able to do that was Eli
- 19:30right and
- 19:31You know he only did that because of the pool that he had and the influence that he had and the name that he comes from
- 19:38Right when you think of manning that's power in the NFL
- 19:42Okay, and a lot of times when these quarterbacks these these really good quarterbacks get drafted
- 19:48they are drafted into some very crappy situations and
- 19:53When you are drafted into a crappy situation that is the organization's fault
- 19:57It is it is the organization's fault because the organization is supposed to be able to
- 20:04Surround the incoming quarterback with necessary weapons and tools in order for them to be successful
- 20:10Right because if you don't guess what's gonna happen. They are not going to last
- 20:16They're not and we're seeing that with this whole incident with Bryce young. We're seeing it. Okay?
- 20:23He came into a situation where he does not have a whole lot, you know to work with he doesn't and
- 20:31You know, we have seen countless time and time again of a lot of quarterbacks who they are put into crappy situations
- 20:39You know with the expectation that they are supposed to turn this team into a playoff caliber team
- 20:43And it doesn't happen and why doesn't that happen because?
- 20:47They are only one person and they can't do everything they can
- 20:52From Sam Darnold to Baker Mayfield to now Bryce young and more a lot of quarterbacks
- 20:59Do have have gone through the struggles?
- 21:04Because they are put into crappy organizations
- 21:06That's why a lot of times a lot of quarterbacks will prefer to be in a stable
- 21:12organization like the Ravens the 49ers the Rams the buccaneers the Steelers for for instance
- 21:20Because why there is stability right there is a set level of hierarchy
- 21:25That is established and will not go away. It is strong their foundation is strong
- 21:31Compared to a dysfunctional organization such as the Jaguars the Browns the Jets
- 21:38The Cowboys sorry Cowboys fans and more right
- 21:42Those are the type of teams where it is very dysfunctional
- 21:46You have a lot of decision-making that is based off of emotions and likes instead of who is going to be able to win me games
- 21:54Who is going to be able to be the best candidate to take us to the next level right?
- 21:59That's what it is. That's why you always see the same teams always being in the top five or top ten within
- 22:07The NFL draft because why a lot of times the organizations are disorganized
- 22:11It is and that's why you see teams like the Raiders who for you know the longest time
- 22:17They've been trying to relive, you know their glory days and they can't do it because why they get in their own way
- 22:23Same thing with the Jaguars. They can their own way even the Browns
- 22:27They get in their own way and it bites them in the ass
- 22:33Every single time it does because when we look at this right?
- 22:39Kevin O'Connell is
- 22:41Has basically been has basically revitalized Sam Darnold's career
- 22:46Because when Sam Darnold was coming from the Jets he was basic and then he got traded to the Panthers
- 22:54He was basically a bust
- 22:56He was a bust at that point
- 22:58Sam Darnold's career
- 23:00Was was basically headed to being a career backup
- 23:04That is basically going to be competing to try to see if he can maybe get into a starting quarterback role
- 23:10That's basically where he was and for him to be in the situation where he is now and he is thriving
- 23:18And this is the best version of Sam Darnold that we have seen that teams were looking to see
- 23:24When he was coming out of USC, it's amazing. It is amazing because why the Vikings have won. They have very stable organization
- 23:32They have stability with their head coach stability within their, you know, just just there's just the stability everywhere
- 23:40And when there's stability everywhere, guess what you can thrive off of that compared to a whole bunch of chaos where you're hearing a bunch of
- 23:49rumors and leaks and whatnot coming from the team
- 23:52How in the world can you be able to to?
- 23:54You know live in that you can't it's it's like it's basically like somebody who says okay
- 24:01I can live in filth or whatnot and then they experience living in a nice clean house or whatnot
- 24:07They're gonna lose their minds because why they're like wow everything is just so organized so nice and
- 24:13This than the other all those different types of things and that's why
- 24:18That is somewhat and that was sort of something that I forgot to talk about when I was talking about
- 24:25In other previous episode that you know
- 24:28The price of having those top five picks
- 24:31Because guess what you get to choose whoever you want to choose right if you want to go after that detackle that you like
- 24:38You can do it if you want to go after that corner that you like you can do it if you want to go after that running back
- 24:44You can do it, but the price is this if they don't work out
- 24:50What are you gonna do next? What are you gonna do next?
- 24:54Because either way you look at it either way you slice it dice it roll it up and send it out
- 24:59The fact of the matter is the organization has the power to determine if we are going to tank a year
- 25:06Or if we're going to try to compete to get into the playoffs
- 25:09They have the power to do it not the quarterback the organization does now
- 25:14Being in which of Kevin O'Connell
- 25:16The vikings have been doing their thing. Okay, the Vikings have been coming off as
- 25:21You know basically one of the best teams in the league if we're being real here and you know
- 25:29Originally Sunday, I wanted to watch the Steelers, you know the six times six times six times. Yeah, I know blah blah blah
- 25:35I wanted to watch them play right and the only team only team I was able to watch was the Vikings and Packers game
- 25:42And at first I was like, ah man, this ain't gonna be a good game. I'm glad I watched it
- 25:46Sam Darnold lit it up that defense lit it up
- 25:51they were doing their thing and
- 25:54You know if we can be real here and in this and and just you know just just in this in this moment
- 26:01I do think if Brian Flores continues on the pace that he is on right now
- 26:07And if this defense goes down, you know this season as statistically
- 26:13You know top five in every major category
- 26:17Brian Flores will get another head coaching job
- 26:20He he will simply because that you know if we're being real here
- 26:27He is doing this with a first round rookie pass rusher and Dallas Turner
- 26:32You have Harrison Phillips and you know in the middle you have Harrison Smith in the backfield
- 26:37You have Gilly on one side. You have Brian Murphy Jr.
- 26:40I don't even know who the other cornerback is you're doing this with a roster with with a defense that a lot of people will consider
- 26:48You know, it's not the best and you know, it don't have an all-pro. They don't have the Neil Hunter blah blah blah
- 26:54They're doing their thing
- 26:55They're doing their thing anytime you have Brock Purdy
- 26:59After game to come up to you and say hey you guys scheme does really well that says a lot
- 27:04That says a whole lot and they've been doing their thing and they will continue to do their thing if if we're being real here
- 27:12You know
- 27:13When we look at these stats, right? Cuz I'm actually about to better yet. You know what?
- 27:18Let's just get into the stats. So Sam Darnold was 20 for 28
- 27:22275 yards three touchdowns one pick
- 27:259.8 yards per attempt and a 71.4 completion percentage, right?
- 27:29Also, here's a little junkie nugget for you
- 27:31He is the first quarterback in the Super Bowl era to win and have two or more passing touchdowns in each
- 27:38offers of his first four starts 14
- 27:42It's big accomplishment in my books
- 27:45Aaron Jones
- 27:4622 attempts for 93 yards 4.2 yards per carry and three three rushes for 10 plus yards, right?
- 27:54Compared to Jordan Love who was 32 54
- 27:58389 yards for touchdowns three picks a
- 28:037.2 yards per attempt fifth a 59.3 completion percentage, which is really not that good
- 28:10Jaden Reed, okay eight targets for seven receptions
- 28:14139 yards one touchdown eight averaged
- 28:1919.9 receiving yards per reception
- 28:21The Vikings were being dominant on both sides of the ball, okay?
- 28:26They were not letting up they were making just as many plays on the defense as they were on the offense, okay?
- 28:33They were doing their thing. I would not be surprised if the Vikings gave
- 28:38Sam Darnold an extension because as of right now, he's played very well
- 28:43He has he he has done his thing
- 28:48Because when we when we look at this, you know
- 28:51Leading into this a lot of people will the running notion was it was probably gonna be between JJ McCarthy and
- 28:59Sam Donald who were gonna compete for the starting, you know quarterback job and then once
- 29:03Unfortunately, JJ McCarthy got hurt and then Sam Donald came in everyone's like, ah man Sam Donald gonna do Sam Donald things
- 29:10He's gonna stink it up this down the other blah blah blah
- 29:14No
- 29:15Sam Donald is on a tear right now. Okay, Sam Donald is doing his
- 29:20His thing chicken wing. Okay, but the thing is this right?
- 29:26This all goes back to a conversation that we have had in other previous episodes. We're just Kevin O'Connell come from
- 29:32I'm gonna let you think about that
- 29:35Times up he comes from the Sean McVeigh tree. Yes. Yes. He comes from a Sean McVeigh tree
- 29:42Which again goes back to something that needs to be talked about
- 29:46teams are
- 29:48Are
- 29:49Licking their chops to go after people who come from the Sean McVeigh and Kyle Shanahan tree
- 29:56Because it works
- 29:58It has worked for the quarterback. Okay when we look at this
- 30:03When Kevin O'Connell got got um
- 30:05Got Kurt Cousins, right? Everyone was thinking. Okay, Kurt Cousins. He's probably gonna be middle middle of the pack and whatnot
- 30:12He was putting up numbers. He was putting up some serious numbers
- 30:15You know once Kevin O'Connell was was the head coach for the Viking serious numbers. Okay?
- 30:21Then you have that transition to where they even had Josh jobs. Josh jobs was doing his thing as well
- 30:26Then once those two went away now you have JJ McCarthy and Sam Donald. Sam. Donald is doing his thing
- 30:34I can only imagine what's gonna happen when
- 30:37JJ McCarthy gets healthy and he gets an opportunity to play
- 30:40If we're being real here, I don't know what it is
- 30:43But just their keen eye for
- 30:47You know
- 30:48For the quarterback position has just been amazing. It's been amazing both of those systems have been amazing
- 30:55they have done a phenomenal job from
- 30:57Jimmy Garoppolo from turning him into a bum to a really good quarterback to sam darnold, you know from a bus to
- 31:05To some people you probably would say an MVP candidate and more right?
- 31:09They're doing their thing. They're doing their thing. They're doing their thing. They're doing their thing
- 31:15And it's only up from here
- 31:17I would not be surprised if the Vikings are deep in the playoffs this year not to mention
- 31:23I wouldn't be surprised if they try to pull off a crazy trade. I wouldn't I'm just saying it. I'm just saying folks
- 31:30Okay, don't hate me hate the men. Well, don't hate the messenger, but don't hate me. I'm just
- 31:36Addressing what I see with my eyes now moving on to the Eagles and the blacks, you know what do I want to talk about them?
- 31:43Yeah, you know what? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Let's let's let's get them out the way. All right. Let's get them out the way
- 31:47Nobody really cares about them, right?
- 31:49Eagles in the buccaneers. What's the best way to put this?
- 31:53saute
- 31:55grilled fried pan seared
- 31:58uh
- 31:59Put on in on an iron skillet with uh some butter rosemary thyme and make sure you you you basted very well and
- 32:09Let it cool down and then serve it, you know to to the buccaneers because the buccaneers cook the eagles. Okay, cook them
- 32:18Cook them. I'm talking about Gordon Ramsay was able to pick it apart
- 32:24Seize it up real good saute it real good do everything that he had to do
- 32:29Okay, because wow this eagles team is struggling. It is struggling. This is not good folks
- 32:36This is not good. Remember those reports that were coming out during the offseason that basically we're saying
- 32:41Nick Sariani and Jaylen Hertz were not seeing eye to eye
- 32:44It's starting to show more and more the cracks are getting bigger within that Eagles locker room
- 32:50And I would not be surprised by Thanksgiving
- 32:53You're going to hear more and more and more stuff about what's going on in there
- 32:58Because at this point the ship is sinking
- 33:01Jaylen Hertz has looked like he has significantly
- 33:05Hmm. I can't even came to speak. It's definitely the coffee
- 33:09significantly regressed since Shane Stikings departure
- 33:13And you know, it's it's not looking good. It's not looking good for both parties
- 33:19And the team will be willing to move off of Nick Sariani to justify the extension that they gave for Jaylen Hertz
- 33:26They were going to be willing. They are
- 33:29They are willing to do that now
- 33:32And this this is a conversation that that I have with Moopy before I recorded this
- 33:36You know, if I'm the eagles you have to make a move
- 33:41You have to make a move. You have to do something in order to to silence the outside noise
- 33:47Temper things down and to try to get everybody refocused on winning you have to
- 33:53At this point because if you don't
- 33:56Things are not going to look good for for Thanksgiving. Okay, somebody's going to lose their job come Thanksgiving
- 34:02And it's going to be Nick Sariani because so far this offense has been stagnant
- 34:07the offense has been struggling without their star players and
- 34:11You wouldn't you wouldn't think it would be this bad
- 34:14If you would have told me that the eagles would would be playing as bad as they are right now
- 34:19I would have called you a liar. I would have they are not playing well
- 34:23They are not the buccaneers had their way. They were cleaning house left and right
- 34:29But let's get into these stats though stats going to tell us everything. Okay. Well not everything
- 34:34I contradicted myself a lot. I don't know. Let's just get into the stats. Okay
- 34:39Jaylen Hertz 18 for 30 158 yards one touchdown 5.3 yards per attempt a 60 completion percentage, right 60 percent
- 34:47Uh completion percentage say quads the quad
- 34:5210 attempts for 84 yards 8.4 yards per carry. All right
- 34:57And I was looking bigger mayfield right baker
- 35:00Baker mayfield. Okay 30 for 47 30 347 yards two touchdowns seven point yards
- 35:077.4 yards per attempt a 63.8 completion percentage, right?
- 35:13And then Mike Evans the goats
- 35:1514 targets for eight receptions 94 yards one touchdown
- 35:2111.8 yards 11.8 receiving yards per reception 34 yards after catch. Okay, the buccaneers generated
- 35:28This is a junkie nugget by the way the buccaneers generated the highest pressure rate
- 35:34since
- 35:352021 against the eagles at 48.6
- 35:40Guys
- 35:41Folks, this is not good. This is not good. Fly eagles fly. No cook eagles cook
- 35:48This is not good
- 35:50This is not good. This roster was built to win immediately. Okay
- 35:57There's not their window is closing and is closing a little bit faster
- 36:02And the only way that they can slow things up is that they have to make a change
- 36:05They have to make a pivot at this point you have to because if you don't
- 36:09You're going to hurt yourself more than actually help yourself, right?
- 36:13Because you have to you have to win a Super Bowl to justify everything that they have done so far. They have to
- 36:21And you know, I wouldn't be surprised if if bill belchaga is their first is their first option
- 36:26Because with bill you're going to have structure. You're not going to have all this foolishness
- 36:31And you know exactly what you're getting with bill, right? Because again, Nick Siriani
- 36:37You're talking about somebody who relies too much on his emotions who wears his emotions on his sleeve
- 36:43Who is just emotionally driven with a lot of the things that he do and you don't need that in the most dire situations
- 36:51You need a coach who is focused on winning who is focused on okay
- 36:57It's too it's past a two minute warning. We have two timeouts. We're trying to prevent them from scoring or we're trying to score
- 37:03Real quick. Okay. We need to do this this this this we don't need a coach who is
- 37:08You know jarring with players on the sideline or you know jarring with
- 37:13You know the the refs and whatnot. You don't need that you need stability and right now. Nick Siriani is not doing that
- 37:20That relationship between Nick Siriani and Jaylin hurts that it's going to a divorce
- 37:26Okay, double Christmas for the kids
- 37:29Double Christmas for the kids now
- 37:31Now
- 37:32Moving on to the other the other team that needs to be talked about. Okay, so jaguars and Texans
- 37:39Jaguars have been ass
- 37:42Okay, they have been trashed. They have been
- 37:45Horrible they have been extinct from a w. Okay extinct from a w. It is horrible
- 37:53Okay, now when we look at this
- 37:55Trevor Lawrence 18 for 33
- 37:57169 yards two touchdowns 5.1 yards per attempt in the 54.5 completion percentage tank biz of
- 38:06Bigsby seven attempts for 90 yards 12.9 yards per carry two rushes for
- 38:13Two rushes of 10 plus yards or more
- 38:16Brian Thomas nine targets for six receptions 86 yards one touchdown
- 38:2114.3
- 38:22receiving yards per reception the last time the jaguars won was november 26 2023 against who the Texans
- 38:31weird coincidence, I think not. Okay. Now when we look at CJ's uh CJ Stroud
- 38:3827 for 40
- 38:40345 yards two touchdowns 8.6 yards per attempt 60 in a 67.5 completion percentage, right
- 38:47Cam Acres 13 attempts for 53 yards 4.1 yards per carry and one rush of 10 plus yards or more
- 38:55Nico Collins 15 targets for 12 receptions
- 38:59yards one touchdown
- 39:0112.6 receiving yards per reception and 63 yards after the catch now when we look at all of these stats and whatnot
- 39:08Trevor Lawrence has just been trash. He has not done anything
- 39:13since getting that deal he won't where is he?
- 39:18Where is he? What what has he been doing? If this is
- 39:22Absolutely atrocious that we have seen
- 39:24from you know from Trevor Lawrence
- 39:27and granted I understand that
- 39:30You know, they they lost Calvin Ridley and all those I I get all of that. But this is just absolutely
- 39:37horrible. Okay, they are the only team in the league right now that does not have a W
- 39:43does not have a W think about that that does not have a W
- 39:47The Panthers have a W before the Jaguars and the Panthers don't even have a better offense
- 39:55Then the oh my god, this is just horrible. This is just horrible
- 39:59and then when you have Doug Peterson
- 40:02Who comes out and he makes the the the stupid, you know claims and whatnot. It's just stupid. It really is
- 40:10You know, the better you got I'm gonna read the quote what he said. Okay
- 40:14This is what he said and I quote as coaches. We can't go out there and make the plays, right?
- 40:19It's a two-way street. So, you know, you guys can sit here and point the finger all you want and it's fine
- 40:26Fine point it point it right at me. I can take it. Okay
- 40:29I can take it. So whatever you want to ask me say whatever
- 40:33I'm sorry, but you you can't continue to point the finger at other people and then blame this on the players and whatnot
- 40:39Because guess what you have to give them the play
- 40:43You have to give them the play. They don't go out there and just do willy-nilly. No, you give them the play
- 40:48You're the head coach. You are in control of when they're winning and when they're losing
- 40:54And you know, if I'm Doug Peterson, my seat is hot. It's starting to get hot
- 41:01It's starting to get hot
- 41:03And you know, this this is a situation where you know at some point, you know
- 41:09This relationship as well is probably going to end as well. I think it's it's reached
- 41:13It's ceiling and I don't think it's going to go anywhere farther because
- 41:17Doug anytime you have a coach that is not being accountable
- 41:21For you know for for the loss and just you know, the lackluster performance that the entire team has been putting out
- 41:29That says a lot about you it does and
- 41:33you know
- 41:34It's it's it's just a nasty situation with the amount of talent they have on that team
- 41:39It's a nasty situation and anytime you say something like that
- 41:44Things start to things start to happen in that locker room
- 41:46People start talking and when people start talking, it's not going to be good
- 41:52It is not going to be good at all. But I mean I I could
- 41:58Pardon me wants to feel bad for them. But at the same time, it's like, you know
- 42:02Any anytime you you try to put blame on other players
- 42:07And make it seem like oh
- 42:09It's their fault that that we're not winning. It's their fault with this
- 42:12It's the it's their fault with that. No, because guess what you have the power to dictate. Okay, we're going to do this play
- 42:18Or we're going to do that play. Okay. Now we're
- 42:20Scrapped that we're going to do this we're going to run this you have the power to do all all those different types of things
- 42:25You're the head coach. So why don't you do head coaching things?
- 42:29Wouldn't be the Steelers
- 42:31It would not be the Steelers. I'll tell you that now
- 42:34Moving on to something that I probably have not talked about but probably do need that probably does need to be talked about though
- 42:39It is the Ravens the Ravens are doing Raven things. Okay, they're back to the
- 42:45To the winning and being dominant and whatnot. And you know, this this was not
- 42:50This was not in my notes, but I think it does need to be talked about it doesn't need to be addressed
- 42:55um
- 42:57The Ravens put on the game
- 42:59Good god, they put on the game. They were dominant Derek Henry looked like the Derek Henry of old. Okay
- 43:06Lamar Jackson still doing his thing. He is that guy. You understand me? He is that guy
- 43:13And you know, this is this is the Ravens team that people were expecting to see
- 43:18You know those first three weeks of the season now, grand I get it
- 43:22You know, it's first three weeks of the season still going through the you know
- 43:25The bumps and bruises the ups and downs and everything I get all of that
- 43:29I I do and all those games were very close games and they were all winnable games and you know
- 43:34Things happen, you know referees are getting in the way. You know whatnot, you know toes and whatnot
- 43:40But hey, you know, that's what happens. But you know, they are they're on a roll
- 43:46They're on a roll and the the most dangerous version of the Ravens is is when they're on a roll
- 43:53When that run game is is it's starting to get hot when that passing game is starting to get hotter
- 43:58And then that defense is doing his thing. Oh my god, you got yourselves a problem. Okay. Oh and by the way
- 44:07Moog I'm going to continue to say it. I was right
- 44:11I was right
- 44:13Because I have a friend named moogmeister who you know when when when the news dropped that the Ravens were signing
- 44:20Kyle van Nooyen. Oh my god, he was losing it
- 44:23He was losing his mind. He was like, oh man, this is a horrible signing like bro
- 44:27You gotta relax man. This is gonna just watch just watch now. He can't say he can't say nothing wrong about calvin
- 44:36Amen
- 44:37I'm that guy. I'm him. You know, I'm him. I'm hymathy hymny tron, you know
- 44:42hymny
- 44:43That's who I am. That's who I am. But you know, this is somewhat of a breaking. What is it breaking news?
- 44:50Isn't that breaking news? I don't know. But we do need to talk about it though before I end this episode though
- 44:55Devante Adams is getting shocked. Yeah
- 44:59Yeah, you heard it first. You heard it here first. That's right folks. He is getting shocked right now
- 45:05There are league sources that are reporting that the Raiders are shopping devante Adams around
- 45:12Now this is what I will say to anybody that is trading for devante Adams
- 45:17I think you have to be a little bit weary
- 45:19But at the same time open about it because he's still he's still an elite receiver
- 45:26But I think it's the financial part that is very
- 45:30daunting and the reason why I say that is because when you look at the style of his contract, it's back loaded
- 45:37It's back loaded
- 45:39And the problem with with back loaded contracts is
- 45:42Even if you do a restructure
- 45:44That doesn't necessarily guarantee that you know, you'll still be able to have the freedom to be able to do
- 45:51You know to to move around and have the flexibility
- 45:53It doesn't and a lot of times it actually puts you in a worse situation
- 45:58Even if you was to do a restructure of devante Adams's contract
- 46:02It's still a lot that you have to take on it's still a lot now granted
- 46:07You know the Raiders can't ask for you know, two first round picks or a first and a second. No
- 46:13You can you for real for you can get the you can get the vante Adams for a day three pick
- 46:18You can get them for probably maybe a conditional fourth that can maybe turn into a third at this point in in his career
- 46:24You really could now
- 46:27Do I think teams are going to be inter interested? Yes. I think teams like the Steelers
- 46:33um
- 46:34The chiefs and others will be interested
- 46:37But I think the problem with all of this is
- 46:39A lot of the teams that are interested in him are guess what they're still in the a fc
- 46:45So, I mean there's not a whole lot of teams on the nfc that really need someone like a devante Adams
- 46:51It's more of the a fc that that's those are the teams that've been depleted and really need a receiver
- 46:57So it's like, you know, what do you do? Are you going to send him to the jets that reunite with Aaron rogers?
- 47:02Are you going to send him to the Steelers?
- 47:04Are you going to send him to the Ravens?
- 47:06You you damn sure not going to send him to the chiefs because that's your division rival
- 47:10You're going to see him twice. You don't want to do that, right? Right, right, right? I don't know. Maybe I don't know
- 47:15Omar pick up the phone do something. I don't know but i'm going to end it here
- 47:19Okay, because that's probably going to be another episode that we're going to have to talk about and
- 47:23Go more deep into and yeah. Yeah for sure
