- 0:08Speaker 1: Advice for sure.
- 0:12Speaker 2: It's time.
- 0:15Speaker 1: And and leve and low and Low Welcome to the
- 0:18Speaker 1: Naughty but Night Show. I think I added an extra hello.
- 0:21Speaker 1: I think I think, well, I'm very excited because we
- 0:23Speaker 1: have the extra Donny Meecham here this week. Donny are
- 0:28Speaker 1: you there?
- 0:30Speaker 2: Hello?
- 0:32Speaker 1: Missed you last week? Fell off? Did? You're holding it
- 0:39Speaker 1: as if you're Diana Ross, like you're literally Judy Garland
- 0:42Speaker 1: holding a microphone and your head. I saw to love it.
- 0:44Speaker 1: We missed you last week. I think what people forget
- 0:47Speaker 1: is that we love this. We absolutely love it, but
- 0:49Speaker 1: it's a side hustle. We can't pay our bills, are
- 0:52Speaker 1: doing a podcast, and so both of us have real jobs.
- 0:57Speaker 1: This isn't a job. This is a pleasure we love doing.
- 1:00Speaker 1: But occasionally your schedule gets a little, a little busy
- 1:04Speaker 1: with work, Donnie, with work, and we totally understand that.
- 1:07Speaker 1: I judged a little, but I did understand because you
- 1:10Speaker 1: gotta pay your bills.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Is that crazy that we have to work pay for
- 1:18Speaker 2: this living?
- 1:21Speaker 1: I think it's quite cute. You're a partner. Looks lovely
- 1:23Speaker 1: of the zoo. That blue wall, that accent was fabulous.
- 1:27Speaker 1: That's why we've gotta work because you live in such
- 1:29Speaker 1: a nice apartment. Okay, let's jump into the show. You
- 1:31Speaker 1: want to hear about the gossip, not Donnie's work live.
- 1:34Speaker 1: What time is it, my friends? It is time? So
- 1:39Speaker 1: big story. At the top of the show, Harry and
- 1:41Speaker 1: Meghan have arrived in Australia and so far it's going
- 1:45Speaker 1: pretty well. Maybe one little faux pa. They visited a
- 1:48Speaker 1: homeless shelter where she was wearing fifty thousand dollars worth
- 1:51Speaker 1: of jewels. Meghan while serving lunch at a women's shelter.
- 1:57Speaker 1: The Dutchess pared her chek dress with luxury accessories, including
- 2:02Speaker 1: a Cartier watch once owned by Princess Diana. They also
- 2:06Speaker 1: went to a hospital together. This is a hospital that
- 2:09Speaker 1: Princess Diana had visited when she was in Australia. Are
- 2:12Speaker 1: you spotting a theme here? Yes, this is the Diana tour.
- 2:16Speaker 1: If you're gonna if you're going to associate yourself with
- 2:20Speaker 1: one member of the royal family, Diana's always a good choice,
- 2:23Speaker 1: really really popular, and there are some similarities to Diana's
- 2:28Speaker 1: stories and Harris. Both of them wanted out of that family.
- 2:32Speaker 1: She divorced that out of it. He married at actually
- 2:35Speaker 1: he got married and left, and so I don't want
- 2:38Speaker 1: to compare Meghan and Diana are getting trouble whenever that's done.
- 2:42Speaker 1: I also don't think it's probably a good idea to
- 2:45Speaker 1: be comparing people, but Diana and her son Harry both
- 2:49Speaker 1: had profound issues with the family, and even people who
- 2:53Speaker 1: do not like Harry and Meghan, there's a lot of them.
- 2:56Speaker 1: You got to admit this tour started pretty well. You're
- 2:59Speaker 1: gonna hear me stuff in the media, and I know
- 3:01Speaker 1: they'll mess it up. This is who they are. I
- 3:03Speaker 1: love them, but if anyone's gonna mess this up, they
- 3:05Speaker 1: will do it. They're only there for four days. I
- 3:07Speaker 1: gotta admit. I think the first day went really, really well.
- 3:10Speaker 1: The crowds are excited. There were a lot of people there.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Going to a hospital, going to a women's shelter, doing
- 3:16Speaker 1: all the stuff in the beginning is a really good
- 3:19Speaker 1: look because later on they've got to make some money.
- 3:22Speaker 1: This trip is costing a lot of money. Someone's got
- 3:24Speaker 1: to pay for this trip, so we do know she's
- 3:27Speaker 1: got that big paid for event in the next few days.
- 3:30Speaker 1: But so far, I think so good. There's gonna be
- 3:33Speaker 1: a lot of haters out there Darna, but you've got
- 3:35Speaker 1: to tip your hat where it's due. This is what
- 3:37Speaker 1: Harry does best. If you put him in a room
- 3:40Speaker 1: with regular people, he can talk to them. He's got
- 3:44Speaker 1: that skill that his mother had. I'm not quite sure
- 3:46Speaker 1: Megan has it, but Harry has it. I've seen him operate.
- 3:51Speaker 1: If you put him with wounded soldiers in a children's hospital,
- 3:54Speaker 1: with homeless people, he has a big heart, and you
- 3:58Speaker 1: can tell he's not just going through the motions. He
- 4:00Speaker 1: really really feels the pain, the energy in the room.
- 4:04Speaker 1: And so I think this was a really good idea
- 4:07Speaker 1: and hopefully too it brought a lot of joy and
- 4:09Speaker 1: inspiration to people who need a little What did you
- 4:12Speaker 1: think about their first day?
- 4:14Speaker 2: The pictures coming out, they look fabulous.
- 4:16Speaker 1: They didn't mean the cardiac shot.
- 4:22Speaker 2: You know. This is the thing though. It's the problem
- 4:25Speaker 2: with that is it's just not it And I don't
- 4:29Speaker 2: know how to explain it. They just don't think about it,
- 4:31Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying. They just don't think there's
- 4:33Speaker 2: no one going heyd we're going trying to a shelter.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Maybe maybe just didn't put the watch in your pocket
- 4:41Speaker 2: until we're done, and then you come out but the
- 4:43Speaker 2: other side of that is, I'm not visiting a shelter
- 4:48Speaker 2: right now.
- 4:49Speaker 1: They are, So that's the thing.
- 4:51Speaker 2: It's like, you can knock them, but yeah, but they're
- 4:54Speaker 2: doing it.
- 4:55Speaker 1: They did do it. They did it. And the fact
- 4:57Speaker 1: that it was his mom's watch that sort of ties
- 4:59Speaker 1: that a little bit too. I was once on The
- 5:02Speaker 1: Katie correct Show, and when Katie had her own talk show,
- 5:04Speaker 1: Jeff Sucker was the EP. I was at the Katie
- 5:07Speaker 1: Show and before me, there was some breaking news. There
- 5:09Speaker 1: was a hurricane somewhere, and Katie was part of ABC,
- 5:12Speaker 1: so she had to use ABC's staff, and so she
- 5:15Speaker 1: cut to ginger ze Or she cut to Meteorologies and
- 5:20Speaker 1: they were wearing a huge diamond ring, and Katie very
- 5:23Speaker 1: politely was like, Oh, I don't think that's a good idea.
- 5:27Speaker 1: With all the damage going on around you, I'm not
- 5:30Speaker 1: sure standing there for Matt, and she was brilliant, and
- 5:33Speaker 1: ginger z was brilliant too, And I was so impressed
- 5:37Speaker 1: with how they had a sisterhood, how they looked out
- 5:40Speaker 1: for one another, that they could tell each other, they
- 5:42Speaker 1: could give them advice. You could tell me, Donnie, h Rob,
- 5:45Speaker 1: don't do that. That's a bad idea. What you would,
- 5:48Speaker 1: you'd sabotage me, I think, and so I wish there
- 5:51Speaker 1: was better people around them. But they've only got themselves
- 5:53Speaker 1: to blame for that. They've gone through a lot of staff.
- 5:56Speaker 1: When you make bad hires and you fire people, it's
- 5:58Speaker 1: hard to hire good ones. So I'm wishing them the
- 6:01Speaker 1: best here. I know on this show we always do
- 6:04Speaker 1: bad news on Harry and Meghan. I think people before
- 6:07Speaker 1: they got there, they assumed. I've read so many stories
- 6:09Speaker 1: that this trip's going to be a disaster. So far
- 6:13Speaker 1: not true, so far, so good, fingers crossed. I know
- 6:17Speaker 1: I always wish for the best. They annoy me. I'm
- 6:19Speaker 1: annoyed with how they treated Queen Elizabeth. I get all
- 6:22Speaker 1: of the above, but now they've got to make some money.
- 6:25Speaker 1: They got to pay their bills. We were talking about you,
- 6:27Speaker 1: Donnie and me paying our bills. They gotta pay their bills,
- 6:30Speaker 1: and so I don't begrudge them that, which brings us
- 6:33Speaker 1: to our whole question of the day. Meghan has already
- 6:36Speaker 1: sparked a little bit of debate down Under in Australia
- 6:39Speaker 1: by turning up at a homeless shelter with fifty thousand
- 6:42Speaker 1: dollars worth of dues. Good luck or bad luck? Do
- 6:47Speaker 1: we even have to ask good luck or bad luck? Hey?
- 6:50Speaker 1: Go vote on our Twitter page at Naughty Nice Rama.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Facebook page is Naughty Gossip and be sure to check
- 6:56Speaker 1: back to I'm our router. Here your results. Hey, Donny,
- 7:00Speaker 1: I tease this a little bit earlier, but give us
- 7:02Speaker 1: more details about that visit to a hospital that was
- 7:06Speaker 1: so meaningful for Princess Diana.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Yeah, so they made a specific stop at a Melbourne
- 7:13Speaker 2: children's hospital. And the beautiful thing about that was is
- 7:18Speaker 2: Princess Diana herself visited forty years ago. It was a
- 7:22Speaker 2: special stop for her. So, you know, for him it
- 7:25Speaker 2: had to be I mean, it's seeing children in a
- 7:29Speaker 2: hospital itself is you know, a deeply profound experience, but
- 7:33Speaker 2: also just going and being like, yeah, wow, my mom
- 7:36Speaker 2: did this too. It had to be very emotional for
- 7:39Speaker 2: him on mini levels. But also this.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Is go back.
- 7:43Speaker 2: You know, we'll be a little real here. It's a
- 7:46Speaker 2: very good pr move.
- 7:47Speaker 1: It is, it is, and both things can be true.
- 7:53Speaker 1: It can be a very good thing to do for
- 7:55Speaker 1: the people in the hospital. It can also be a
- 7:56Speaker 1: very good thing to do for yourself. I used to
- 7:58Speaker 1: always say that to my clients when I was a publicist.
- 8:01Speaker 1: The best pr is the one that helps both of us.
- 8:03Speaker 1: You want to help charities, you want to help individuals
- 8:06Speaker 1: in need, and you want to help yourself too. And
- 8:08Speaker 1: so I think this was a very very smart move.
- 8:11Speaker 1: It must be something to think that forty years ago,
- 8:13Speaker 1: his mommy walked to those hallways, don A, she walked
- 8:16Speaker 1: those hallways, and Harry wants to do good work. People
- 8:20Speaker 1: that are angry with Harry, a lot of people are
- 8:23Speaker 1: have to remember that when it comes to charity, when
- 8:26Speaker 1: it comes to helping other people, this is where he excels.
- 8:29Speaker 1: This is when he is totally at his best. He's
- 8:32Speaker 1: not good in the stuffy palaces or in board rooms
- 8:36Speaker 1: or doing meetings with Netflix, or he's not good at
- 8:38Speaker 1: making TV shows. We know that. But meeting regular people,
- 8:42Speaker 1: I think is so profound and so beautiful. It's nice
- 8:46Speaker 1: to see a little bit of Diana being challenged here
- 8:50Speaker 1: on this trip. Okay, moving along, Kevin fed a line
- 8:54Speaker 1: backs Britney Spearss rehab decision. So Kevin's speaking out in
- 8:58Speaker 1: support of Britney after she Voluntierira Lee entered rehab after
- 9:02Speaker 1: her recent Dui. Through his attorney, Kevin has said he's
- 9:06Speaker 1: happy she's getting help, especially because the decision appears to
- 9:10Speaker 1: be her own. Now, sources say the move isn't exactly
- 9:14Speaker 1: tied to one issue. It could be a whole bunch
- 9:16Speaker 1: of things, including trying to get Brittany out of legal trouble.
- 9:19Speaker 1: She has to stand in front of a judge in
- 9:22Speaker 1: a few weeks, so if she's trying to get help,
- 9:24Speaker 1: that certainly looks good for her. Some people here think, oh, Kevin,
- 9:28Speaker 1: shut up, stop still talking about Brittany. However, let's be clear,
- 9:32Speaker 1: he didn't issue a statement. The press called him, and
- 9:35Speaker 1: so when anything happens to Britney, you call the mom,
- 9:38Speaker 1: you call the brother, you call Kevin. And what do
- 9:40Speaker 1: you do. If you don't respond, you look really mean,
- 9:42Speaker 1: you look like you don't care. If you do respond,
- 9:44Speaker 1: people are going to say, oh, look at him again,
- 9:46Speaker 1: trying to be famous, that fifteen minutes of fame with Brittany.
- 9:50Speaker 1: You can't let go of it. I don't think Kevin
- 9:52Speaker 1: can win here. What would you do, Donnie if they
- 9:54Speaker 1: called you for a quote about me going to rehab?
- 9:57Speaker 1: Would you give a quote or would you say new comment?
- 10:00Speaker 2: Well, here's the thing, like we always forget, they share
- 10:03Speaker 2: two kids, like they so they will forever being tied
- 10:06Speaker 2: to each other, always a part of each other's life.
- 10:09Speaker 2: The good thing here, though, is because I'm sure the
- 10:13Speaker 2: press wanted him to say something naughty or say something bad,
- 10:18Speaker 2: because in his book he was you know, he wasn't
- 10:22Speaker 2: so kind to Brittany in the book he was a
- 10:25Speaker 2: little and he's been harsh about her her parenting in
- 10:29Speaker 2: her problems hasn't been the nicest in the press. So
- 10:33Speaker 2: I bet you they called because they were like, oh,
- 10:35Speaker 2: Kevin's gonna say something that right, And he was like,
- 10:41Speaker 2: how can you say something bad about somebody getting help?
- 10:44Speaker 2: Because here's the Yes, it does help Brittany legally that
- 10:49Speaker 2: she gets in front of a judge and say, you know,
- 10:51Speaker 2: I went to rehab. But yep, we have seen in
- 10:55Speaker 2: the past Brittany has been pushed to try and get
- 10:58Speaker 2: help and she has always turned it.
- 11:00Speaker 1: She said no, Yeah, she's always said no. Isn't it.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I like that she's getting help. I like her boys
- 11:05Speaker 1: are supporting her. I like Kevin does too. And if
- 11:07Speaker 1: it's disappointing some monsters in the press, so be it's okay,
- 11:11Speaker 1: moving along, Blake Lively, I's Britney Spears a Britney Spears
- 11:16Speaker 1: moment in her court room showdown, Donnie, what am I
- 11:21Speaker 1: talking about? How is Britney involved now in the Justin
- 11:24Speaker 1: Beldoni Blake Lively mess? What is going on?
- 11:28Speaker 2: So ugh? Blake livelyn the tide is.
- 11:32Speaker 1: To exhaust it and I am as.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Bad for her, but she's planning a dramatic strategy because
- 11:42Speaker 2: she's kind of she got handed a pretty heavy blow
- 11:45Speaker 2: last week and a judge passed out ten out of
- 11:48Speaker 2: the thirteen of her claims, including the ones about sexual
- 11:52Speaker 2: harassment and all that stuff. But apparently there is footage
- 11:56Speaker 2: in which Justin is questioning if he harassed Britney after
- 12:02Speaker 2: he hugged her an unsolicited hug, and so obviously that
- 12:07Speaker 2: can you know boast her claims that he is inappropriate
- 12:12Speaker 2: when he touches people, and he touches people without being
- 12:15Speaker 2: you know, asking, without consent. I just I don't personally
- 12:19Speaker 2: know if this is the best strategy for her, Yeah,
- 12:23Speaker 2: because it's like it's such an old clip that you're
- 12:26Speaker 2: like it is, Yeah, it seems desperate almost.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Yeah, it fit, doesn't it? So Brittany was a guest
- 12:32Speaker 1: star on his TV show, and he was so excited.
- 12:34Speaker 1: The whole cast was so excited that Britney Spears was there.
- 12:38Speaker 1: They went over and gave her a hug, and then
- 12:39Speaker 1: after he hugged her, he's like, oh, my goodness, did
- 12:42Speaker 1: I just harassed Britney Spears? And that's on camera and
- 12:44Speaker 1: everybody's laughing, and it's a big joke. And twenty years
- 12:46Speaker 1: ago that stuff was much funnier than it is today.
- 12:49Speaker 1: It's never funny, but people thought it was funnier twenty
- 12:52Speaker 1: years ago. But it does appear, particularly because all the
- 12:55Speaker 1: sexual allegations, all the sexual abuse, harassment allegations have been
- 13:00Speaker 1: rowing out, it does seem like a hail Mary here
- 13:03Speaker 1: just to remind people that he's not a good guy.
- 13:05Speaker 1: But I'm not sure it has anything to do with
- 13:07Speaker 1: the charges that now stand that it's a very different,
- 13:10Speaker 1: different trial. Okay, quickly, before we get a break. Selena
- 13:13Speaker 1: Gomes and Demi Levada have reunited after a decade. Ah
- 13:17Speaker 1: so Selena and Demi. She had an emotional reunion tenures
- 13:20Speaker 1: in the making, as Selena surprised fans by attending the
- 13:24Speaker 1: opening night of Demi Levada's tour in Orlando. Backstage, the
- 13:28Speaker 1: two friends embraced. It was a lovely, full cirtle moment
- 13:32Speaker 1: after years of distance. Selena said that she was in
- 13:35Speaker 1: tears praise in Demi's vocal she can sing, and calling
- 13:39Speaker 1: the show one of the best. They have history together,
- 13:43Speaker 1: They know each other, They grew up together in a
- 13:46Speaker 1: really toxic business and then they did drift apart. We
- 13:50Speaker 1: know the struggles both ladies have had. Both were Disney
- 13:54Speaker 1: era stars, complicated past. But I think this mutual respect
- 13:58Speaker 1: and support and he is a beautiful look for both
- 14:02Speaker 1: of them. What do you think done it?
- 14:04Speaker 2: Yeah, well, of course, fab because here's the thing. They're
- 14:08Speaker 2: grown ups now, they're grown women, and they are you know,
- 14:12Speaker 2: because it's hard. You're a kid, you're a child start
- 14:15Speaker 2: and then you're growing up. And we all know the
- 14:18Speaker 2: press a lot of time they pit them against each other,
- 14:21Speaker 2: and so a lot of things it's like you hear,
- 14:23Speaker 2: you're like, oh the source says, and it's like these
- 14:26Speaker 2: artists are like, wait, Jimmy said that about me. It's like, no,
- 14:29Speaker 2: she didn't say that about you, but now it's being
- 14:31Speaker 2: construed that she said that about you. And then of course,
- 14:34Speaker 2: they're like they they're made to hate each other. It's like,
- 14:38Speaker 2: because that's what the business does, it cat fights.
- 14:41Speaker 1: We've got to stop covering them. We've got to stop
- 14:44Speaker 1: covering them. But we can cover when two friends come
- 14:47Speaker 1: back together after a decade, enjoy each other. There is
- 14:51Speaker 1: history there, there is emotion there, There are feelings there
- 14:54Speaker 1: that no catty press, no bad press can tear apart.
- 14:58Speaker 1: It's lovely to see the two you back together. Okay,
- 15:01Speaker 1: we're going to take a quick break, a very quick break.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Oh I did laugh. One of the naughties told me
- 15:07Speaker 1: I have nothing to do with the ads. So when
- 15:09Speaker 1: I load up the show into iHeart system, I know
- 15:12Speaker 1: where the ads are at the beginning, the end, in
- 15:14Speaker 1: the middle, but I don't actually know the ads. I
- 15:16Speaker 1: don't know how many they are. I need these ads
- 15:19Speaker 1: because these ads allow me and Donnie the whole gang
- 15:22Speaker 1: to bring you this podcast for free. We don't charge
- 15:25Speaker 1: for this. There's no subscription fee for this. The ads
- 15:27Speaker 1: pay for all this. Well, guess who was one of
- 15:30Speaker 1: our ads yesterday or the day before. Bethany Frankel's new
- 15:34Speaker 1: ice cream. Don't tell Bethany, she'll pull that out. Oh
- 15:38Speaker 1: she will. Okay, we're going to keep this a secret.
- 15:41Speaker 1: We shall be right back. Welcome back to the Naughty
- 15:46Speaker 1: but nic Show. Did what of Bethany's ads around tell
- 15:48Speaker 1: me the truth? Listening to don't tell us she'll pull
- 15:51Speaker 1: the ads. Okay, let's get to the brawls. Last share,
- 15:57Speaker 1: we talked about Megan and Harry arriving in Australia. First
- 16:00Speaker 1: day there, they didn't bring the kids. Should the kids
- 16:02Speaker 1: be with them? What do you think should the kids
- 16:04Speaker 1: be there? Oh? Fifty to fifty. Half of you say yes,
- 16:07Speaker 1: half of you say no. I think this is up
- 16:09Speaker 1: to the parents. It's their kids. I don't get involved
- 16:12Speaker 1: in parenting. It's not my kids. I don't tell parents
- 16:15Speaker 1: what to do. Nobody knows better than the parents. Hey,
- 16:19Speaker 1: don't forget to vote on today's Paul will go to
- 16:22Speaker 1: a Twitter page at Naughty Nice rob Our facebook page
- 16:26Speaker 1: is Naughty Gossip. I'm sure to check back to mov
- 16:31Speaker 1: rauer to hear your results. And now, oh, it's time
- 16:35Speaker 1: for a nicest of the day.
- 16:41Speaker 2: All right, it is. You know, it's not often that
- 16:44Speaker 2: we're like really, but I will say also, speaking of
- 16:50Speaker 2: grown women and growing up, she has really taken a
- 16:53Speaker 2: turn and she is really the criminal justice. You know,
- 16:58Speaker 2: she was trying to she failed the Moor exam. But AnyWho,
- 17:00Speaker 2: but she is really putting her money where her mouth
- 17:04Speaker 2: is on this and she's really justice reform is big
- 17:08Speaker 2: for her. And so now she's going to Broadway. She's
- 17:11Speaker 2: producing ex Broadway show with Tessa Thompson and Adrian Brody,
- 17:16Speaker 2: which are excues big and it's called The Fear of
- 17:20Speaker 2: thirteen and what it's about is a man named Nick
- 17:24Speaker 2: Yaris and he's spent two decadars on death row for
- 17:30Speaker 2: a crime commit Wow, Kim.
- 17:34Speaker 1: This is so powerful, Kim, this is so important. You
