- 0:27SPEAKER_03: Oh, and the best part is tomorrow we're gonna have a leftover brisket here.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: I know, but I was thinking about that.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: So who's gonna go get it and bring it to us?
- 0:35SPEAKER_03: I would like to think uh Jonathan?
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: I don't know, because I mean not that I don't want to go to the show.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: It's a little late for us.
- 0:43SPEAKER_03: Well, on a Monday night in the middle of a work week for us, that's that's tough.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: I went to bed at 7:40 last night.
- 0:49SPEAKER_03: Give you credit on that one.
- 0:50SPEAKER_03: Anyway, if you still want to go tonight, you don't have to do the VIP, but if you want to do the VIP, it gets you a couple drink chips, it gets you the priority seating, slam and jamming uh dinner, uh, ClementCenter.org, or just regular tickets.
- 1:02SPEAKER_03: I don't think they keep you out too horribly late.
- 1:05SPEAKER_03: Like no, no, no, you still get home at a decent enough hour.
- 1:08SPEAKER_03: You normal folk that are leaving your house now, right?
- 1:11SPEAKER_03: You know, can can adjust to the next day.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: People wake up at 4 a.m.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: It is a little tough for for sure, for sure.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: Okay, I'm gonna play this little clip of now.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: It's Alex Earl, influencer, and something that she says she's never done.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: Here you go.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: Influencer and reality show star Alex Earl took part in a recent QA with Interview Magazine, and she made a revelation that raised a few eyebrows.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: Take a look.
- 1:37SPEAKER_03: What's the last book you read?
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: I've never read a book.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Like maybe Dr.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: Seuss.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: She's never a book.
- 1:44SPEAKER_03: The audience is a woo! Okay.
- 1:46SPEAKER_03: I've read books.
- 1:48SPEAKER_03: Uh-huh.
- 1:48SPEAKER_03: I don't enjoy reading.
- 1:49SPEAKER_03: Like, I don't sit down with a book.
- 1:51SPEAKER_03: Oh, Tiffany's a big reader.
- 1:53SPEAKER_03: Like, she will do it on her tablet, charge my account for all her downloads.
- 1:58SPEAKER_03: Uh you know, what?
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: Uh, and uh, you know I love that she's so well read though.
- 2:02SPEAKER_03: She is a big reader.
- 2:04SPEAKER_03: I am not.
- 2:05SPEAKER_03: Uh now for me, I can legitimately say I don't remember the last book I sat down to read, except for like if it was a kid's book.
- 2:14SPEAKER_03: Because, you know, Lydia is every once in a while still likes a book read to her.
- 2:18SPEAKER_03: Of course.
- 2:20SPEAKER_03: I do too.
- 2:20SPEAKER_03: We're I'm aging out of that a little bit, you know.
- 2:22SPEAKER_03: But uh Scott, read it to me then.
- 2:24SPEAKER_02: No, no, because you're getting Dr.
- 2:26SPEAKER_03: Seuss, you know.
- 2:27SPEAKER_02: You know, I can kind of relate to what she's saying, but that's also what's one of those things some people genuinely enjoy sitting down and reading a book.
- 2:37SPEAKER_03: I do.
- 2:38SPEAKER_03: I don't.
- 2:39SPEAKER_03: I I am not a let me sit here and read a book.
- 2:42SPEAKER_03: I mean, my God, I made two different kinds of soups over the weekend.
- 2:45SPEAKER_03: I was in the kitchen, you know, going nonstop.
- 2:48SPEAKER_03: That's my let me do that.
- 2:50SPEAKER_03: You've never I read a cookbook.
- 2:51SPEAKER_03: There you go.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: And I know you can read, obviously, because we're reading stuff every single day for our job.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: But you never have read a book and loved it because you're just like so in deep.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: Here's a great example.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: So at the box office this weekend, Verity was number one.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: This is based off of a book.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: This is based off of a Colleen Hoover book.
- 3:10SPEAKER_03: Movies and and such are and stories.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: Yes, yes.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: And I read that book.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: It was uh it was a pretty good book.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't say it's my favorite.
- 3:18SPEAKER_03: Colleen Hoover's not my favorite author, but it was I couldn't name an uh an author besides I don't know.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: I'm dying Shakespeare.
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: I'm dying inside.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: Not even like Tom Clans.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: Is that Colin Collins still a thing?
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: Wait, Joan Collins, I thought she was an actress.
- 3:32SPEAKER_03: Oh, wait, what was the other one that wrote all the sleazy novels in the Danielle Steele.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: Daniel Steele.
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: Danielle Steele Steele.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: My mom, I th maybe it's because my mom read those.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: Did your parents read Girls?
- 3:42SPEAKER_03: My mom did.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 3:44SPEAKER_03: My dad had a job where he was reading constantly at work.
- 3:47SPEAKER_03: He was a technical publications writer.
- 3:49SPEAKER_03: So Boring.
- 3:51SPEAKER_03: He was like, I don't really need a book right now.
- 3:53SPEAKER_03: I mean I've had my face in one all day.
- 3:56SPEAKER_03: Oh, I'm not.
- 3:57SPEAKER_03: It's just I for me, I don't find the joy in sitting there reading.
- 4:01SPEAKER_03: I know a lot of people do, and I think that's great for you.
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: It's just, you know, Zach's a big reader, but I think that mainly women are the readers.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: I don't know why, but it seems like this would be an answer that mainly men would be like, no, I've never read a book.
- 4:16SPEAKER_01: I mean or I can't remember the last book I read.
- 4:18SPEAKER_03: And and I'm not even gonna throw audiobooks into this.
- 4:21SPEAKER_03: That doesn't count.
- 4:23SPEAKER_03: In this, in this case, that doesn't count because that's kind of like listening to a big podcast.
- 4:27SPEAKER_03: Yes for 12 hours.
- 4:29SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 4:29SPEAKER_03: That's different.
- 4:30SPEAKER_03: That this is sitting down and reading a book other than Dr.
- 4:34SPEAKER_03: Seuss.
- 4:34SPEAKER_03: I can kind of relate to what she's saying.
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: Is there something that you've never done?
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: Like Alex Earl, never reading a book is just blows my mind.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: Is there something you've never done that would like blow our minds or like your significant other?
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: You like you know that they've never done this, and you're like, it blows my mind.
- 4:50SPEAKER_03: Like, yeah, if Zach told me right now, like Tiffany right now.
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: I wonder if she's like, whoa.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: I can't believe that Scott like just he can't even remember the last book he read.
- 4:58SPEAKER_03: No, she knows.
- 4:59SPEAKER_03: I'd rather watch Tulsa King instead of read Tulsa King.
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: I get I get it, but sometimes I just love getting lost in a book.
- 5:06SPEAKER_01: I I'm for you, that's fantastic.
- 5:10SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 5:10SPEAKER_03: Do not judge me for the fact that I don't find the joy in that.
- 5:13SPEAKER_01: I'm slightly judging you.
- 5:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah, well, I'm judging you if you nerd.
- 5:16SPEAKER_03: Why don't you get out?
- 5:17SPEAKER_03: Oh wait, what am I saying?
- 5:18SPEAKER_03: You get out.
- 5:19SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 5:19SPEAKER_03: All right, text us here.
- 5:20SPEAKER_03: Is there something that you're pretty sure your significant other has never done?
- 5:25SPEAKER_03: And you're like, what the I would love to know that they probably would not be able to do it.
- 5:31SPEAKER_03: Or or maybe somebody you know very much.
- 5:33SPEAKER_03: I'm not alone in this, by the way, either.
- 5:36SPEAKER_03: About the no book thing?
- 5:37SPEAKER_03: About the no book thing.
- 5:38SPEAKER_03: I can't imagine other than like a mechanics manual.
- 5:41SPEAKER_03: I don't see Terry sitting down going, uh pick up this uh Daniel Steele here, Roses and Thorns.
- 5:48SPEAKER_03: I love a good read.
- 5:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
