The cross happened once in history at the hour the Father appointed, and in that obedient death the Son was glorified. Forgiveness rests on the blood Jesus actually shed, so cleansing flows from a finished sacrifice. Because God Himself called believers into His Son, His own faithfulness keeps them secure to the end.
