Transcript
- 0:00Hey, y'all, welcome to day's show. You've had a very good Pentecost
- 0:08Sunday and Feast of Mary, the Mother of the Church, and are recognizing
- 0:16Memorial Day. Memorial Day has become a holiday of course the United States,
- 0:21and a lot of people use it for vacations and enjoying spending time with their
- 0:26family and friends. That's a good thing. It's a very good thing.
- 0:30Also very important to remember that this is not a day for This isn't Veteran's
- 0:37Day, you know, this is a day we remember our honored dead,
- 0:41those who died for us, those who died so we could have freedom.
- 0:48You know. A few years ago, I was walking my dog in my
- 0:51mother's neighborhood and an old man called to me from his front porch, called
- 0:56me over and started talking to me. He told me that to see I
- 1:00kind of wear my hair in an old fashioned style, I mean kind of
- 1:03nineteen forties, you know. And he called me every and he said he
- 1:07I looked just like his friend that he was in the service with. And
- 1:12turned out mister Vernon Haslip was his name. He was in his nineties and
- 1:18he's a great guy, a wonderful person. Catholic, by the way,
- 1:23and he said he had started smoking cigars when he turned eighty, and when
- 1:27he turned ninety, he decided he could drink as earlier the day as he
- 1:32wanted. So he was about eleven o'clock and he offered me a scotch and
- 1:36a cigar, you know, and we we started talking. And what a
- 1:41great guy he was. I remind him of his friend. They stormed the
- 1:45beaches at Omaha together, and it was the hair that caught his attention.
- 1:53His friend was kind in half by machine gun fire, and he reached down
- 1:59in the water and pulled him up by his hair, and they said goodbye.
- 2:04That's what Memorial days. It's a tough one. That's what Memorial Days
- 2:09about. And I think it is important that we remember on Memorial Day what
- 2:17they fought for, because, let's be an honesty, all were blown it
- 2:23my generation. I'm Generation X. I think probably the last year of Generation
- 2:29X, born in seventy seven, the same year that punk rock was created
- 2:35and or really became popular. Actually was around a little bit before then,
- 2:38but you can go back to the velvet underground of the standals and all that.
- 2:42But anyway, guy had called himself Richard Held. He was with the
- 2:49band Television before then, and he started playing with Johnny Thunders. He did
- 2:53a song called I Belonged the Blank Generation. I guess that was about nineteen
- 2:55eighty and that's kind of what defines Generation X. The Baby Boomers basically destroyed
- 3:05America. Sorry, if you're a Boomer, I mean literally, and the
- 3:10Millennials and the Generation Why and all that. Y'all, we're going in a
- 3:16bad direction. I mean, with all this transgendered stuff and transhumanism stuff,
- 3:22I mean, we're destroying the family. I mean, the borders wide open,
- 3:27the fentnyl deaths are just massive. I think we're on track. If
- 3:31I remember the last the last numbers, we're on track to reach three hundred
- 3:37thousand overdoses in this year alone. I think it was one hundred thousand last
- 3:42year. So if I'm right, if I if I heard correctly, we're
- 3:46on track to reach three hundred thousand ventnel overdoses this year alone. The family's
- 3:52destroyed. We spend more for education than any country on Earth, and with
- 3:57the worst results. Kids graduating high school today cannot do basic math or write
- 4:03or read. You know, these are these are going really bad. And
- 4:11we need to be the people that men like mister Hassler fought for. And
- 4:17I think it's very important to realize what they fought against and the great betrayal
- 4:23of our leaders, and some of that is our is to this day our
- 4:27church leadership. You know, I was talking to my friend Frank Selvado the
- 4:33other day. If you don't know Frank show, it's Underground USA. He's
- 4:38on sub Stack. He has a great podcast. He used to be on
- 4:41Bill O'Reilly show all the time. Really great guys. It's not a lot
- 4:44to help me, and I'm very grateful to him. We were talking not
- 4:47long ago about Wilson and FDR and the rise of the progressive movement. You
- 4:54know, FDR was a natural ally to Hitler and to Mussolini. Mussolini and
- 5:01he actually worked like penpalas Mussolini would write fan letters saying what a great job
- 5:05he was doing in America. Seriously, I mean, I'm serious. The
- 5:09FDR was a communist essentially, and had he not been so closely aligned with
- 5:15England, we probably wouldn't have ended up fighting against those guys. But mainly
- 5:23the reason we ended up fighting against Hitler and Mussolini and all them was because
- 5:28Japan attacked Pearl Harbor and Japan had a basically a secret treaty with Hitler that
- 5:33said if they went to war with someone, Germany went to war as an
- 5:36ally, and so FDR was really on their side. He was very very
- 5:45anti Catholic, very anti Catholic, and very much a communist, very much
- 5:50a fascist. When our young men went and died by the tens of thousands
- 5:59in World War Two to save the world from Nazis, which were the National
- 6:04Socialist Party, from Mussolini's Fascist government, which was socialist, we had people
- 6:13in our own state department that clutched I guess you would say was the phrase
- 6:20clutched defeat from the jaws of victory. We could have taken out Stalin,
- 6:27we could have taken out the Soviet Empire. We could have absolutely prevented Mao
- 6:34from taking over China. China was ground up in World War Two. I
- 6:41mean they sacrifice millions, so did Russia millions to defeat the Japanese specifically with
- 6:49China, and it was an easy takeover for Mao's communists. The country was
- 6:57just in horrible condition. There is a book who was one of the first
- 7:03books I think William F. Buckley's first book with Brent Bozelle's senior was Man
- 7:09and God at El still an excellent book, and if you really want to
- 7:12learn about how the progressive movement took over our universities, start with William F.
- 7:16Buckley and Brent Bozzelle's book. I believe the second book was McCarthy and
- 7:21his Enemies. It tells a real story of McCarthy and tells the real story
- 7:27of what happened at the Pentagon when our allies in China we're saying we need
- 7:35your help or the Communists are going to take over under MAO, the Pentagon
- 7:41officials actually prevented the President of the United States from knowing that until it was
- 7:46too late they were communists. If you want a more modern book, and
- 7:51Culture did a couple of really good books on this in what early two thousands
- 7:57kid The names of them don't come to me right now, but it's documented.
- 8:01These were wire transfers going back and forth where our leadership, our military
- 8:09industrial complex, our Pentagon propped out the Soviet Union, allowed Stalin to create
- 8:16what became the Soviet Empire, when we could have liberated Russia very easily at
- 8:26that point they had been defeated by Germany, essentially an allied with Germany,
- 8:31and we had every reason to roll those tanks right into Moscow, Stalingrad,
- 8:37whatever, and China did not have to fall. The result of that was
- 8:45over two hundred million deaths we rightfully grieve, you know, six million Jews
- 8:52and Gypsies and such in Catholics, many many Catholics actually killed by Hitler and
- 9:00the Nazis, the National Socialist Workers Party of Germany, which was at its
- 9:07core anti Catholic. Instead, we didn't, and we've allowed the Communists to
- 9:13write the history that actually blames the Catholic Church for the Holocaust and not the
- 9:16Socialists. If you don't believe me, ask any anti Catholic Protestant and they
- 9:22will tell you all kinds of fairy tales about how the Church was behind the
- 9:26Holocaust, when actually the Church was so influential in trying to save Jews from
- 9:33being executed that the chief Rabbi of Rome converted to Catholicism. You can read
- 9:39his biography. I think ten books sells it. I know a couple of
- 9:41booksellers sell it. The Catholics were the only ones helping the Jews yes,
- 9:50there are have been strong anti Semitic sentiments in the Catholic Church essentially since day
- 10:00one. I mean, the Jews in early Christianity did everything they could to
- 10:05exterminate Christianity, and so there's you know, there were some bad blood between
- 10:09them and it continued from centuries. But the Catholic Church did more to save
- 10:18Jews than any other entity on earth. And that was recognized by the Chief
- 10:22Rabbi of Rome, who came from a prominent Jewish family. And you know,
- 10:28for Judah, convert to Christianity means being erased from Judaism. You lose
- 10:33your family, you lose your friends, you lose your entire history as a
- 10:37Jew. It's a big deal. I mean really, for a Judah,
- 10:41convert to Christianity is the probably the hardest conversion to make. And we have
- 10:46so many well, I have many Jewish friends who have converted to Christianity is
- 10:52specifically Catholicism, and a lot of times real history is what drove them to
- 10:56do that. We were betrayed. Our young men went into that war and
- 11:05died in large parts due to the actions of our own president and political leaders.
- 11:15We were then betrayed with the you know then propping up the Soviet Union
- 11:22in Cuba and China for decades. The Venona Papers came out and after the
- 11:30fall of Soviet Union, and it showed wire communications between the KGB and I'm
- 11:37just going by memory here and if I'm not completely accurate, look it up.
- 11:41This was well documented one of End Culture's books. I believe it was
- 11:43Ted Kennedy and other members of the Kennedy family and they were actively working to
- 11:52undermine President's Reagan. President Reagan's attempt to end communism in the Soviet Union.
- 12:00They were on the side of the communists. This is, you know,
- 12:07far worse than like the Rosenbergs and such. You were Soviet spies who were
- 12:11executed. Our actual senators and congressmen, and the heads of our military,
- 12:18the colonels and the generals. I mean, they were actively working on behalf
- 12:24of communism. And right now to this day, we have socialists working in
- 12:30the Catholic Church undermining freedom, humanity, and Christianity in our government and in
- 12:37our church. Look at the treaty that was recently signed between the Vatican and
- 12:43China. I don't understand it. I can't explain it, but it we
- 12:50will lead to has likely already led to the deaths of actual Christians, actual
- 12:56Catholics, who were working in the underground church in China. What China fears
- 13:01most is Christianity, and especially the Catholic Church, and our leadership is sold
- 13:09out to them because they share the same ideology, and that is unacceptable.
- 13:15And on this Memorial Day, I decided I would go back and read a
- 13:20little bit of what Father Sparago wrote in his exhaustive Explanation of the Catechism,
- 13:26which I believe was published around eighteen ninety, so very prescient. He said,
- 13:33in our own day, a large proportion of the so called socialists or
- 13:37social democrats aim at depriving their fellow men of their private property by unjust means.
- 13:43He starts with the history of socialism, with Marx and all that.
- 13:48We don't need to cover that. Then he gets into the heart of what
- 13:52they believe, okay, and why it's incompatible with Catholicism and Christianity and general
- 14:00our socialist father Flager and other priests and bishops should be excommunicated. The object
- 14:09of the socialist is this. They want all private property to be confiscated by
- 14:13the state, and capital and labor equally distributed among members of the state.
- 14:18Moreover, many of them would do away with religion, authority, social order,
- 14:24and family life. The fundamental principle of socialism is all property has been
- 14:28unjustly acquired. Consequently, in the new republic, no one is to possess
- 14:33personal property, but is to be provided for out of the public funds.
- 14:39In the new republic of the extreme socialists, there is to be neither the
- 14:43ordinances for religion or the institutions of law. These men openly declare themselves to
- 14:48be atheists and republicans. They say religion concerns the individual one. The intercourse
- 14:56of man and woman is to take the place of wedlock, the children to
- 15:00belong not to their parents but to the state, to be educated at the
- 15:03public expense. A public kitchen is to supersede the domestic hearth. Prisons will
- 15:09not be needed, for there will be no criminals, since all crime comes
- 15:11from the possession of private property. These principles have spread chiefly among the irreligious,
- 15:16who care only for their gratification and their appetites, and the lower orders.
- 15:20The proletariat. In the division of property have nothing to lose and all
- 15:24to gain. They are mostly held by certain ones of the laboring class who
- 15:28have been thrown by pecure circumstances into socialism. While Sparago was very kind in
- 15:35saying that most socialists, at least in his time, were poor people who
- 15:39didn't like being poor. Actually they tend to usually be the most wealthy among
- 15:46us. And why are they the most melody among us? Well, because
- 15:50through the fascist side of socialism, they can mandate purchases, they can mandate
- 15:58commerce, They give to the government, they support the government. The government
- 16:02says you have to buy this, you have to do that. If you
- 16:04don't believe me, just look at vaccine mandates or insurance laws. You know
- 16:10you have to have insurance according to the state. Right, I'll call it
- 16:15the medical industrial complex has made a great deal of money off of turning America
- 16:21into a fascist government. He goes on to say some of the socialistic theories
- 16:26could not possibly be realized. Others might indeed be carried out, but they
- 16:32would be attended by fatal consequences. You have to remember Marx and Ingles were
- 16:37doing their thing in like the eighteen forties. This is barely fifty years later,
- 16:42and I'm going to show you how prescient fathers farrago was he could almost
- 16:48see the future. The universal equality which socialists proposed to bring about is utterly
- 16:55impracticable. Is an utterly impracticable idea, especial actually in regard to the property.
- 17:02For if the state of portion to everyone the exact amount required for his
- 17:04livelihood, what more probable than that one would spend it all and another party
- 17:12put part. By this old writing, he's saying, one person is going
- 17:17to spend their money, the other's going to save a little bit. Right,
- 17:19Thus an inequality would be immediate, would immediately arise, and to enforce
- 17:25the surrender of man's savings would be sheer tyranny. The same endless variety which
- 17:30we see in nature exists among mankind. Differences in age, of sex,
- 17:34of health, of physical power, and mental endowments, above all of character,
- 17:40of manners cannot be effaced. And from these differences of position and of
- 17:45possessions are inseparable. Just as in an army, all the soldiers cannot be
- 17:49all officers nor all privates, so all members of society cannot stand on the
- 17:55same level. Some must manage the business of the state, or occupy themselves
- 18:00military affairs, and they must naturally hold a higher rank than other members of
- 18:03the state because they work more exclusively for the common will. The happiness the
- 18:08socialist dreams of is not attainable upon earth. Whatever the exertions that may be
- 18:15made to ameliorate the lot of man here below, none can succeed the eliminating
- 18:22from suffering, sickness and death. Sorrow and suffering are portions of mankind.
- 18:27A life of peace and enjoyment is not of this world. True happiness is
- 18:32not found in sensual pleasures, but in God. While the whole world lasts
- 18:37crime, vice, poverty cannot be banished from it. Our Lord says the
- 18:41poor you have with you always. And in regard to the proposed absorption of
- 18:45individual property by the state, this could not be accomplished without serious disturbances,
- 18:52for who would be willing to surrender his property without struggle? And where community
- 18:56of goods once introduced, tranquility not to tent not be attained. The oppressed
- 19:02minority, out of revenge, commit fearful outrages. Besides, laborious and industrious
- 19:07individuals would not be content as they would gain nothing for their industry. Thus,
- 19:14the working classes would lose instead of gaining socialistic theories could only be realized
- 19:19if men were like the lower animals, destitute of love, of liberty and
- 19:23desire for improvement. Socialism would cast a blight upon culture and destroy all stimulus,
- 19:30all motive for the exercise of inventive genius. Few would exert themselves to
- 19:34make progress and aim at perfection if they knew their achievements would bring them no
- 19:37reward, and the socialistic republic all would be slaves. No man would exert
- 19:44himself to do better than another if he knew all was provided for him.
- 19:48There would be a premium upon slothfulness and negligence. Experience has shown the evils
- 19:55brought upon mankind by the examples of communities which have had their goods in common,
- 20:00and which have been noted for the crimes that have come to an ignominous
- 20:03end, and to bring it to a moral conclusion, All who endeavor,
- 20:08by unlawful means to deprive their neighbors of his personal property live in a state
- 20:14of mortal sin. The mere fact of coveting what belongs to another is sin.
- 20:19We know that all sin brings others into their trains, and this is
- 20:23no exception to that rule. Saint Paul says that in an ordinate desire of
- 20:27moneyous root of all evils, and the utterance of socialists at their gatherings prove
- 20:32this the truth of these words. Their speeches often abound with virulent attacks upon
- 20:37authority, on the pope, on priests and civil magistrates. Some go so
- 20:42far as to assert that perjury and a court of law is permissible if it
- 20:47furthers their own interests. We know the crimes of which the anarchists have been
- 20:51guilty, dynamite outrages and assassinations. Let it not be said in behalf of
- 20:56their principles that early Christians had all things in common. For voluntary sharing of
- 21:00goods is quite different to what the socialist proposed to enforce. The fundamental principle
- 21:06of Christian charity, which urges almsgiving, is this, brother, what is
- 21:10mine is thine? Whereas the socialist says, brother, what is thine is
- 21:14mine? So what does all this mean? What he's saying is socialism and
- 21:21its natural outgrowth. Communism is incompatible with Christian religion because it is based on
- 21:27envy, because it is based on covetous covetousness. What the very reason Woodrow
- 21:36Wilson got elected. Well, I will say, our first official socialist president,
- 21:42who was a member of the q Klux Klan and the Masonic Order,
- 21:45and all that was because the South had been so utterly destroyed in the Civil
- 21:49War and people were living in poverty. Reconstruction essentially took all the wealth out
- 21:56of the South. Now, I know historians will agree on that, and
- 22:00they'll say, oh, that's a Southern version of reconstruction. You only have
- 22:03to look at the amount of wealth in the South before reconstruction and afterward,
- 22:11the wealth of the South, the agricultural wealth, was exploited by the North,
- 22:18and into that vacuum came a leader of sorts, a very evil man
- 22:27who was able to convince the Democratic Party, just as they do today,
- 22:33that you are owed, you have a right to what has been taken from
- 22:40you, just as Mark said to the industrial poor. His political philosophy was
- 22:45based on envy, on covetousness, on saying I have a right to what
- 22:51another person has, and he then enacted through social programs and taxation, are
- 23:00taking from those who had to give to those who would vote for him,
- 23:04never enough to raise him above poverty, but to make them a little more
- 23:10comfortable than they had been before. When FDR comes along, he began a
- 23:17fascistic program, a nationalizing of industries. When FDR came along, he expanded
- 23:22these programs dramatically, and that's why he became a hero of Mussolini. He
- 23:30was a natural ally with the communist, socialists and fascists. By the time
- 23:37we get to LBJ and the Great Society, America had become a socialist nation.
- 23:42In the process, America became a very Unchristian nation. If we look
- 23:48at the America prior, we see stores closed on Sundays, some people going
- 23:55to church, prayer in schools, families staying together, peace and prosperity.
- 24:02What we see now is entitlement. We see that very situation that fathers Barago
- 24:12described, of lawlessness, of homelessness, of drug addiction, of despair.
- 24:21Because there is no quality, and we see a gradual reduction. People are
- 24:26not even living as long as they were length of life, Our lifespans are
- 24:32decreasing in America. Our quality of life is decreasing in America. My generation
- 24:38will not have the wealth and the opportunities to say when we hit sixty that
- 24:45our parents, the baby Bombers, had the millennials will have it even worse.
- 24:52They're essentially being sold out by our Democratic president and our Republican Speaker of
- 24:59the House who just signed this budget deal. They will be serfs, they
- 25:03will be subjects to the state. They will labor and be dependent on Social
- 25:11Security, Medicare, Medicaid simply for survival when they hit retirement age. We
- 25:19are seeing a decline in our quality of life, and along with that,
- 25:25arise in drug addiction, arise in you know, not just poverty but a
- 25:30crime, violent crime, and despair. We now have empty churches and that
- 25:38is what is well, That's that's what always happens, isn't it. I
- 25:45mean, you know, the wages of center death. When you embrace a
- 25:49political ideology, whether you call it socialism or democratic socialism or just being a
- 25:59liberal, and you tear down the institutions that have been there to raise people
- 26:03up, such as the churches. When you start teaching radical politics instead of
- 26:11teaching kids how to read and write and do math, you're encouraging despair.
- 26:18And on this Memorial Day, I just have to ask you, do you
- 26:21think that's what your grandfather or great grandfather fought for? You know, I
- 26:27mean people my age, our parents were in Vietnam fighting for other people's freedom.
- 26:34You know, when America pulled out of Vietnam, the camer Rouge,
- 26:40the Vietcong, along with the Chinese, slaughtered so many people wholesale that they
- 26:47had to start rashing bullets. They would force someone to dig their own grave
- 26:51and then hit them in the head with a shovel because they were running out
- 26:53of bullets. Are we the people they fought for? And it's up to
- 27:04every one of us individually, And I'm going to tell you my belief,
- 27:11and I believe this strongly. Opt out, Opt out of the system.
- 27:18Figure out how not to live in debt, because as long as you live
- 27:22in debt, you're a slave of the system. Have your property, your
- 27:25house paid off, drive a used card no matter how bad it looks by
- 27:30generic I learn to mend your clothes if they get torn, so long as
- 27:34you don't have to use a credit card to go into debt, because when
- 27:37you're in debt, you're a slave as someone else. If you can learn
- 27:41to be self employed, as long as you're self employed, you were making
- 27:48your own choices, homeschool your kids. We cannot even trust Catholic schools anymore
- 27:53because our churches have been so infiltrated and infested with m communism, liberalism.
- 28:03Have community among your neighbors and your church, if at all possible, help
- 28:08each other out in times of disaster. Don't rely on the government, and
- 28:14don't get divorced. Mary once married for life, have kids, have a
- 28:19strong family. Encourage your family to stay together and in the same community so
- 28:26you can look out for each other and help each other. That's what people
- 28:29used to do. It may sound crazy now, but before in nineteen seventy
- 28:33or so, most families not only stayed together and didn't get divorced, they
- 28:40stay in the same community. And grandkids were there to help their grandparents out
- 28:44when they got old. Kids were there to help their parents out when they
- 28:47got old. When there was a fire or a flood or hurricane. Neighbors
- 28:52help neighbors. They were cousins. They were related. If they weren't,
- 28:56you know, cousins are related. They went to school together, they knew
- 28:57each other. Opt out of this disfunctional, disjointed, diseased modern culture.
- 29:10Get off the computer. I mean, I'm saying this is a podcaster,
- 29:12right, But you don't get out and enjoy nature, and enjoy being with
- 29:15your family and friends and actually talking with real human beings. We have to
- 29:21opt out and be the strong, independent people who are deserving of freedom that
- 29:29our ancestors fought for. I guarantee they did not die for us to have
- 29:36just added four trillion dollars to the national debt. Just be the people,
- 29:42Be the people deserving of their sacrifice. I guess that's all I got to
- 29:48say. As always, in the words of Saint Padre Pio, pray,
- 29:52hope and don't worry and remember something else. I believe it was at fatm
- 30:00Our Blessed Mother said that as we've been in the end times. Okay,
- 30:04first of all, we've been in the end times since the Resurrection. Okay,
- 30:07so when she says in the end times, I don't want anybody freak
- 30:11out and start thinking I'm talking apocalyptic. But she said, in the end
- 30:15times, the strongest attacks would be against the family. The stronger you can
- 30:21build your family, the better off we're going to be. Yeah, family,
- 30:26if it's your nuclear family, start there, your church, your community,
- 30:33those interpersonal human relationships. That's really the you know, Jesus said,
- 30:40the heart of the law is to love God, and love your neighbors yourself.
- 30:44The one thing we see the end result of communism, socialism, liberalism,
- 30:49fascism, etc. Being is the lack of love for neighbor. The
- 30:56two hundred million dead documented in the Black Communism, the hundreds of millions of
- 31:03babies aboarded in China and in America under a communist and a socialist democrat rule.
- 31:11That is the heart of everything. And that, you know, if
- 31:17you were to go back and ask my great grandfather, you know who served
- 31:21in World War One? What was he fighting for? Who is fame?
- 31:23For his family? He was fighting him there, so they didn't come here
- 31:27and attack his family. That would be the same. You know, of
- 31:33all, my family has served in Korea and Vietnam, and you know World
- 31:37War Two and the War of eighteen twelve and the Revolutionary War and the Civil
- 31:41War and all that. I mean again, you know myths of history.
- 31:47Most Southerners did not fight the Civil War to preserve slavery. They fought because
- 31:52suddenly Sherman's troops showed up in their backyard and started burning their house down.
- 31:56People fight for their family, and if you destroy the family, there's nothing
- 32:01left to fight for. So start by loving one another and building those strong
- 32:07relationships. If you've got living parents, go show them how much you care
- 32:12about them. If you've got kids, sacrifice everything so they'll have a better
- 32:16life, etc. Etc. Because I mean, looking at the statistics right
- 32:22now, our kids are not going to have it as good as we did,
- 32:25and we don't have it as good as our parents did. We're moving
- 32:29in the wrong direction. So on this Memorial Day, let's make our lives
- 32:35monuments to doing to fulfilling the mission that our ancestors died for. All Right,
- 32:44I'll talk to you next time.
