- 0:00Speaker 1: I'll start Toyota Presents off the Bench with Jacob Hester
- 0:03Speaker 1: and Matt Flynn and Hester and Hester at a pie
- 0:08Speaker 1: from carrying each other to a natty to carrying each
- 0:11Speaker 1: other on the air Control Live from the Mercedes Benz
- 0:19Speaker 1: Baton Rouge studio.
- 0:20Speaker 2: It's off the bench, all right, welcome back here in
- 0:54Speaker 2: hour number three, oh TB one of four five esp
- 0:58Speaker 2: and Baton Rouge.
- 1:05Speaker 3: See if everybody's a big deal with no big deal, no.
- 1:09Speaker 4: Big deal, big deal, no big deal, big deal, no
- 1:14Speaker 4: big deal, no big deal, a big deal.
- 1:20Speaker 3: The laundry just flex and gave me the middle finger
- 1:23Speaker 3: at the same time, right there, Yeah, well done.
- 1:26Speaker 5: We have a video portion. Didn't see that part of it.
- 1:29Speaker 6: We haven't done that in years.
- 1:30Speaker 5: That doesn't matter.
- 1:32Speaker 7: We can bring it back if you want to have it.
- 1:34Speaker 7: We just haven't done it in years, Taylor.
- 1:37Speaker 3: I mean, gosh, our man Craig Shilling spent a lot
- 1:41Speaker 3: of time putting that together back in the day.
- 1:44Speaker 6: I have it on the dusk Stop if you want to.
- 1:45Speaker 6: You just haven't played it in a while.
- 1:46Speaker 5: Okay, well you know, maybe next time.
- 1:48Speaker 6: We do this segment every week thus weeks.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Ready, Uh, it's on the rundown.
- 1:57Speaker 5: Oh yeah, that you never still in that kind.
- 2:04Speaker 3: I wish this was a bit like I promise you listeners,
- 2:07Speaker 3: that is not this man refuses to open the rundown.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Have you done it yet, I'll just forget Okay, Well,
- 2:17Speaker 3: big deal or no big deal even changing the name
- 2:19Speaker 3: of this segment back in the day, like seven years ago.
- 2:24Speaker 3: All right, so we thought we knew that Julian Satan
- 2:29Speaker 3: was going to be the Ohio State starting quarterback. I
- 2:31Speaker 3: think we all just assumed that was going to be
- 2:33Speaker 3: at sure it was a air quote competition, but not
- 2:36Speaker 3: really well. Talking with my guy Bobby Carpenter yesterday and
- 2:41Speaker 3: also hearing Ryan Day talk, apparently this quarterback battle is
- 2:46Speaker 3: going to go down to the wire. Apparently they're not
- 2:49Speaker 3: going to name a starter until the last couple of
- 2:51Speaker 3: days of training camp. They open up with the number
- 2:54Speaker 3: one team in the country, the Texas Longhorns.
- 2:58Speaker 5: Big dealer, No big deal, sir, Mmmm.
- 3:01Speaker 6: Yeah, that's a big deal. Any time you're going to push,
- 3:03Speaker 6: if you're actually going to push the decision, like a
- 3:05Speaker 6: lot of coaches will say, that has a lot of
- 3:07Speaker 6: coach speak.
- 3:08Speaker 5: To That's why I asked Bobby. I was like, hey,
- 3:10Speaker 5: Bro's like he's.
- 3:12Speaker 6: For real, Like that is a big deal. The ranting
- 3:16Speaker 6: national champions, Like you got some of the those talented
- 3:19Speaker 6: players in the country and you have a huge game
- 3:23Speaker 6: with a you know, whether it's properly ranked, but a
- 3:26Speaker 6: lot of people saying the top team at least coming
- 3:31Speaker 6: in coming into your house. Lee Corso's last game and
- 3:36Speaker 6: game day, it's gonna be a big deal. It's going
- 3:39Speaker 6: to be so like if you're not deciding on a
- 3:41Speaker 6: quarterback all the things we've talked about with like the
- 3:43Speaker 6: Saints quarterback, like you got it used to one one
- 3:46Speaker 6: snap count one guy, Like there's chemistry that has to
- 3:49Speaker 6: be done. I hate when quarterback competition's dragon. I especially
- 3:53Speaker 6: hate two quarterback systems. So hopefully he's not going to
- 3:55Speaker 6: commit to that. If he can't make a decision, make
- 3:58Speaker 6: a decision, big a quarterback, make the right decision, they'll
- 4:04Speaker 6: screw it up, Ladra.
- 4:05Speaker 5: Big deal, No big deal.
- 4:07Speaker 8: I think it's kind of a big deal that this
- 4:09Speaker 8: close to the season, what we're like three weeks out,
- 4:12Speaker 8: two weeks two, three weeks out, Yeah we are.
- 4:16Speaker 3: I mean you're going to have the game in twenty
- 4:19Speaker 3: three days. Ireland twenty three days for.
- 4:22Speaker 8: Yeah, that's what I'm saying, because they're they're.
- 4:24Speaker 5: Doing a week zero.
- 4:29Speaker 3: I'm saying the week zero game start in sixteen days
- 4:32Speaker 3: yeah for that game.
- 4:33Speaker 5: Yeah, you're twenty three weeks.
- 4:34Speaker 8: Okay, So yeah, I think that this close to the
- 4:38Speaker 8: season starting, and then, like y'all said, you're facing Texas,
- 4:42Speaker 8: who is the number one ranked team in the preseason polls.
- 4:46Speaker 8: Right now, it's kind of concerning that you don't have
- 4:49Speaker 8: a breakaway quarterback right now.
- 4:52Speaker 5: I agree, and that the.
- 4:53Speaker 8: Race is this close because they have their like Texas
- 4:56Speaker 8: has their definitive quarterback.
- 4:59Speaker 5: They definitely Yeah, Jordan think that's a big deal Arch.
- 5:04Speaker 7: Meaning big deal, Yeah, because you you want your starter
- 5:10Speaker 7: at this point the season. But I'll say this, this
- 5:12Speaker 7: is not some indictment on Julian saying Lincoln keen Holes
- 5:17Speaker 7: can play football. If anybody knows anything about this guy,
- 5:20Speaker 7: I think this is going to be no big deal
- 5:22Speaker 7: in the long run because it's gonna make these two
- 5:24Speaker 7: guys better. Lincoln keen Holes, he can play. I love
- 5:28Speaker 7: what Julian saying can do. Julian Sayan is gonna win
- 5:30Speaker 7: this competition, Like it's it just that that that's what
- 5:33Speaker 7: it's going to be. But yeah, it's kind of a
- 5:35Speaker 7: big deal that because if nothing else, like Matt talked
- 5:38Speaker 7: about with Jay Kaneer entering the competition, you want as
- 5:40Speaker 7: many first team reps as you can get. That's a
- 5:43Speaker 7: big deal for me. But no big deal because I
- 5:45Speaker 7: think both guys are actually pretty good.
- 5:46Speaker 6: Hey, you say it's going to make both guys better
- 5:48Speaker 6: if it's going to make the offense not as good, Yeah, yeah,
- 5:51Speaker 6: it doesn't matter like it one got better, It one
- 5:54Speaker 6: got way better instead of both guys a little better.
- 5:58Speaker 6: It's my thoughts. Big deal, no big deal. Take it
- 6:03Speaker 6: to the NFL. Someone that most people around here do
- 6:06Speaker 6: not like hate the Falcons. I want to say, no big,
- 6:09Speaker 6: big deal, no big deal. Kirk Cousins then Uggins been
- 6:13Speaker 6: outspoken on the Netflix documentary QB about you know, how
- 6:18Speaker 6: he felt blindsided with the Penis draft and not playing
- 6:23Speaker 6: and has kind of been you know for him, which
- 6:25Speaker 6: is kind of a reserved not gonna like speak opinion
- 6:29Speaker 6: too much, especially like derogatory, kind of been outspoken about
- 6:32Speaker 6: being disappointed with the backup role and how everything played
- 6:36Speaker 6: out with Penis. They signed him to one hundred million
- 6:37Speaker 6: dollars and then they draft a guy number eight overall.
- 6:40Speaker 6: But what the big deal? No big deal? Part to
- 6:43Speaker 6: me is he's still on the roster and after publicly
- 6:48Speaker 6: stating his disappointment, and now you're on a group of
- 6:51Speaker 6: men who are trying to follow another person at quarterback
- 6:54Speaker 6: and build a franchise around him. So kirk Cousins still
- 6:57Speaker 6: on the roster for the foul big deal, no big deal, So.
- 7:05Speaker 3: He's going to handle it about as well as you
- 7:07Speaker 3: possibly can't handle that.
- 7:08Speaker 6: I thrue.
- 7:09Speaker 3: I think we know that about Kirk Cousins. Uh, if
- 7:11Speaker 3: you don't find the right trade partner, if you don't
- 7:14Speaker 3: feel like you're getting valued, do you really want to
- 7:16Speaker 3: just release him and just pay this money to this quarterback.
- 7:19Speaker 5: And not have his veteran leadership there.
- 7:23Speaker 3: That's a tough deal. And also, like I think Michael
- 7:26Speaker 3: Pennix is awesome. He was my second favorite quarterback behind
- 7:29Speaker 3: Jayden in that cap off, I do too, And so
- 7:34Speaker 3: I think he's going to be the guy. But it
- 7:36Speaker 3: is like the ultimate kind of security blanket.
- 7:39Speaker 5: If he's not or if he did go.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Down, you do have somebody that has certainly had big
- 7:44Speaker 3: moments in the league. If I'm the Falcons because I
- 7:49Speaker 3: think Kurt's going to handle it right. At the end
- 7:50Speaker 3: of the day, I think he should be on this rock.
- 7:53Speaker 6: Big deal deal. Yeah, I'll give my opinion, then we'll
- 7:59Speaker 6: kick it over. But I'll give like a contrarian opinion
- 8:03Speaker 6: to this because I think that if you're trying to
- 8:06Speaker 6: start fresh, there's always going to be whether how how
- 8:11Speaker 6: well he handles it, how much of the people there's
- 8:12Speaker 6: alway gonna be a little bit of a dark cloud
- 8:14Speaker 6: with that situation until he just like clean clear the
- 8:17Speaker 6: slate completely. That's individually based. Like I remember when I
- 8:20Speaker 6: was in Seattle and I didn't start I was a
- 8:23Speaker 6: dark cloud for multiple weeks. I was not happy. Everybody
- 8:27Speaker 6: knew it. They knew it, now I didn't. I mean
- 8:31Speaker 6: maybe I tried to. No, I didn't. I eventually tried too.
- 8:36Speaker 6: You still tell, right, So I get it, like he's
- 8:39Speaker 6: he's he's gonna have that disappointment, but you're right, he
- 8:42Speaker 6: is going to handle it the best. But I do
- 8:44Speaker 6: think it's a big deal when you have a guy
- 8:46Speaker 6: that you invested an eighth pick, an eighth overall pick
- 8:50Speaker 6: on who you're saying he is your guy. The team
- 8:53Speaker 6: looked like they had a poll slash year when Kirk
- 8:56Speaker 6: Cousins got pinched for him and then you got this guy.
- 8:59Speaker 6: It's like, there's this got a contract, all this stuff.
- 9:02Speaker 6: I say, try to move him or cut bait with him,
- 9:05Speaker 6: let him go, you know, do his thing, big y LDRA.
- 9:13Speaker 6: I kind of think it's no big deal.
- 9:16Speaker 5: Just because I don't really care boom.
- 9:20Speaker 6: About the fact is good, answer is fair. So it's weird.
- 9:24Speaker 7: I'm gonna say big deal for all the reasons Jake mentioned.
- 9:28Speaker 7: It's a big deal that you have a quarterback that
- 9:31Speaker 7: has started what ten years in this league. Michael Pennock
- 9:34Speaker 7: showed promise last year, but he still only played four games, Like,
- 9:37Speaker 7: we still really don't know. We think he's going to
- 9:40Speaker 7: be good, but if he's not, Kirk's an insurance policy.
- 9:43Speaker 7: And I do agree about the black cloud thing. But
- 9:46Speaker 7: if Kirk Cousins is the guy I think he is,
- 9:49Speaker 7: he's going to handle this like a pro, at least
- 9:51Speaker 7: inside the locker room.
- 9:52Speaker 6: So I think it's a.
- 9:53Speaker 7: Big deal because you probably got the best quarterback situation
- 9:55Speaker 7: in the league right now in terms of starter and backup.
- 10:00Speaker 6: Yeah, I agree with that you do have one of
- 10:03Speaker 6: the top but I think, yeah, you do have one
- 10:07Speaker 6: of the top like situations for sure. I just think
- 10:10Speaker 6: for God to like feel that it's his he actually
- 10:14Speaker 6: owns the keys of this car, and he doesn't have
- 10:16Speaker 6: someone sitting in the front seat right and like jump
- 10:18Speaker 6: into the driver's seat. I think, sometimes you gotta gotta
- 10:22Speaker 6: cut bait and I could, I know, and I get it,
- 10:24Speaker 6: like Kirk's probably gonna be awesome and be awesome of
- 10:27Speaker 6: the situation. I just think in that situation it could
- 10:30Speaker 6: go downhill or maybe not downhills a word for it.
- 10:33Speaker 8: But I think both of them have a good head
- 10:36Speaker 8: on their shoulders though for sure.
- 10:38Speaker 6: But at the end of the day, everybody's a competitor. Yeah,
- 10:40Speaker 6: and Kirk, like you, what you can't hide is Kirk's experience.
- 10:43Speaker 6: And like in the back of everybody's mind, if Pennis
- 10:45Speaker 6: thows a couple of picks, they're like, we got Kirk.
- 10:47Speaker 6: Look he did that seven years ago when he was
- 10:51Speaker 6: you know what the commanders are like whoever, it was like,
- 10:54Speaker 6: we've seen him do these things. Pinnix is struggling little bit.
- 10:57Speaker 6: Penix is gonna struggle at times. He's in yer being
- 11:00Speaker 6: a starter. There's gonna be ups and downs. I just
- 11:04Speaker 6: think the back of everybody's mind, if you just get
- 11:06Speaker 6: rid of that option, then it's like, all right, everybody behind,
- 11:10Speaker 6: let's hold the rope for Pennis.
- 11:11Speaker 7: Well to your point, what's probably stings the most for Kirk.
- 11:14Speaker 7: Remember he was not traded. He chose the Atlanta Falcon Right. Now,
- 11:18Speaker 7: look at what the vita and what everybody saying, Oh
- 11:20Speaker 7: it's Kevin O'Connell.
- 11:22Speaker 6: Kevin O'Connell.
- 11:22Speaker 7: Doesn't matter whose quarterback is, They're gonna be good regardless.
- 11:25Speaker 7: He could have stayed at Minnesota. He gave up everything
- 11:27Speaker 7: to go back to Atlanta.
- 11:28Speaker 6: So that's why I bring up the document because in
- 11:30Speaker 6: the documentary he states if I would have known they
- 11:32Speaker 6: were not he said, the organization misled me. If I
- 11:35Speaker 6: would have known they were taking Panix, I would not
- 11:37Speaker 6: have signed here.
- 11:38Speaker 5: Ye fair, I get it.
- 11:40Speaker 6: But you can't take those words. And I get that,
- 11:41Speaker 6: like that's a completely normal thing. If everybody would feel
- 11:44Speaker 6: that way. I'm just saying those words are out there
- 11:46Speaker 6: in the ether.
- 11:48Speaker 3: So all right, ta, all right, Wait the laundry E
- 11:52Speaker 3: didn't go yet. You're so long on Flynns, my God,
- 11:56Speaker 3: say something of the rest of it.
- 11:57Speaker 6: I want some Falcons headlines.
- 12:03Speaker 8: So that was a good that was a good big dealer,
- 12:05Speaker 8: no big deal, big dealer, no big deal show Tani
- 12:10Speaker 8: yesterday went both sides of the ball. Uh pitched four innings,
- 12:15Speaker 8: one earned run, eight strikeouts. But at the plate, so
- 12:20Speaker 8: you get eight strikeouts and four innings one earned run,
- 12:22Speaker 8: but they're got the plate. My man goes yard for
- 12:26Speaker 8: his one thousandth career hit.
- 12:30Speaker 5: He's got a thousand in the big leagues already.
- 12:32Speaker 8: Yes, I feel like that in and of itself is
- 12:36Speaker 8: a big deal.
- 12:37Speaker 3: But like to go.
- 12:38Speaker 8: Yard for the thousandth hit, that's pretty cool.
- 12:41Speaker 5: Everything RB I, by the way, everything and anything that
- 12:44Speaker 5: he does is a big deal.
- 12:46Speaker 6: Eight k isn't a homer.
- 12:48Speaker 5: And then like the nicest.
- 12:49Speaker 3: Human being, it seems like when he goes to the
- 12:52Speaker 3: plate for.
- 12:52Speaker 8: Thee look, everybody's got their later under the bus.
- 12:57Speaker 6: But he's probably real good at gambling. He's just hiding it.
- 13:02Speaker 6: He probably does.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Like it's like he tips his cap to the opposing manager,
- 13:06Speaker 3: like when he steps into the box as a sign
- 13:09Speaker 3: of respect. I don't know, man, I just I think
- 13:11Speaker 3: it's a cool story that we've never seen anybody really
- 13:14Speaker 3: like modern day yeah, and he's doing it and not
- 13:17Speaker 3: just doing it, but he's dominating. He can dominate him
- 13:19Speaker 3: now and he can certainly dominate in the batter's box.
- 13:22Speaker 6: That is.
- 13:22Speaker 5: Anything he does is a huge deal.
- 13:23Speaker 6: Yeah, it's funny. Just like the things that he does
- 13:26Speaker 6: is so incredible. Like if if anybody else did one
- 13:30Speaker 6: of the things that he does, it'd be like, Wow,
- 13:33Speaker 6: this guy's amazing. Could be Is he a Hall of Famer?
- 13:35Speaker 6: I don't know, but like he does it so much,
- 13:38Speaker 6: like we have to question is it a big deal anymore?
- 13:43Speaker 5: I get what you're saying, but yeah, it's still is
- 13:45Speaker 5: it is?
- 13:45Speaker 6: Absolutely Yeah, I get we're just so used to It's
- 13:49Speaker 6: like Alabama when they were winning it.
- 13:51Speaker 5: Even though it's like the most impressiveness.
- 13:55Speaker 8: Has been in the MLB since twenty eighteen, already has
- 13:58Speaker 8: one thousand.
- 13:59Speaker 5: It's crazy. And with injuries.
- 14:02Speaker 8: Yeah, he was injured like all last season.
- 14:04Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, cool, before we got a big deal or
- 14:08Speaker 7: no big deal. So New England and Washington had their
- 14:11Speaker 7: joint practice yesterday and there was a big brawl on
- 14:15Speaker 7: the field and New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel
- 14:19Speaker 7: jumped into the pile of players. Yes that's what we're
- 14:22Speaker 7: trying to build, and it starts with the head coach.
- 14:25Speaker 7: It's intensity and bringing it every day and taking no
- 14:27Speaker 7: crap when we're out on the field. It's the mentality
- 14:30Speaker 7: that I want, so big deal or no big deal.
- 14:33Speaker 7: The head coach getting into it with the players in
- 14:35Speaker 7: the scrum.
- 14:36Speaker 3: Okay, so it's a huge deal that he has their
- 14:40Speaker 3: back and he's in the foxhole. That is incredible. I
- 14:43Speaker 3: say no big deal because it's rapes it like if
- 14:49Speaker 3: it was any other coach, you'd be a big deal
- 14:51Speaker 3: on both rages. Tried to fight you after every play,
- 14:55Speaker 3: Like I played against him when he was in Kansas City.
- 14:59Speaker 3: I think maybe one to New England, but mostly Kansas City,
- 15:02Speaker 3: and he would just like create drama in his own head.
- 15:05Speaker 3: I think it's like do I didn't even say, like,
- 15:06Speaker 3: what are you talking about? I didn't say anything. He's
- 15:08Speaker 3: trying to fight you. That's who he is. You don't
- 15:11Speaker 3: lose that just because you got to whistle around your neck. Now,
- 15:14Speaker 3: that is not shocking at all. I would have loved
- 15:17Speaker 3: to play for Rames.
- 15:18Speaker 6: So he who would use tackling fuel. Is that what
- 15:21Speaker 6: you're saying?
- 15:21Speaker 5: Yes?
- 15:22Speaker 6: And walk around it's kind of like that. Same for
- 15:23Speaker 6: water Boy, and he's like, no, no, what you just
- 15:27Speaker 6: He's just thinking things in his head, like what did
- 15:30Speaker 6: he did he go after dan Quinn? It doesn't say
- 15:32Speaker 6: dan Quinn. Dan's at old to be mixing it up.
- 15:36Speaker 3: Dam would mix it up, though, he would. You don't
- 15:39Speaker 3: wear backwards that unless you mean business, you know. Colin Cowherd,
- 15:44Speaker 3: what a yeah for that?
- 15:48Speaker 6: By the way, So yeah, so big deal because that's awesome.
- 15:51Speaker 6: And I love like, I gotta lead, I gotta get
- 15:53Speaker 6: into the frame because that's what we're trying to build there,
- 15:56Speaker 6: which highlights what we talked about yesterday. You getting some yeah,
- 16:01Speaker 6: fight each other, like a fight, a fight something joy.
- 16:06Speaker 5: So give me the boy, You'll be fine. You'll be
- 16:08Speaker 5: fine five minutes afterwards.
- 16:10Speaker 6: That's the line, coach. I'm sure he got some.
- 16:12Speaker 7: Might Vrabel ten career receptions, all touchdowns.
- 16:17Speaker 5: At player. Man, he was a really he had he
- 16:20Speaker 5: had these arms that like just.
- 16:23Speaker 3: You you couldn't find your way into blocking him because
- 16:26Speaker 3: he would just extend those long ass arms that he had,
- 16:29Speaker 3: and he was a monster. He'd be pretty cool to
- 16:32Speaker 3: have a dose skis or two with as well. I
- 16:34Speaker 3: think he'd go for dose with us. I saw him
- 16:38Speaker 3: with our fellows will Compton, their version of Tata busting boys.
- 16:46Speaker 3: I bet they can delete some dose Sekis. I bet
- 16:48Speaker 3: they've gone for dose a couple of times or two.
- 16:51Speaker 3: You should go for dose. That's a great time to
- 16:53Speaker 3: go for dose. It's about to be tailgating dose time.
- 16:56Speaker 3: So when you set the tailgate, make sure you have
- 16:58Speaker 3: an ice chest full, ice cold thanky.
- 17:02Speaker 6: Don't go for in, go for ghost those seconds. Thank
- 17:06Speaker 6: cold ice cold Mexican lagger. Have it in your fridge
- 17:11Speaker 6: at home. I like to keep a little icy mug
- 17:13Speaker 6: in the freezer. Pop it out, cut a line open.
- 17:15Speaker 6: There's nothing better, nothing more fresh, especially in summer. Getting ready, man,
- 17:19Speaker 6: we're getting ready for tailgate, and that is perfect beard

- 19:53Speaker 5: Chef, what's going on? Brother?
- 19:55Speaker 3: I am sure you are drinking out of a fire
- 19:57Speaker 3: hose right now. With training camp and trying to make
- 19:59Speaker 3: sure everybody is fed and ready to go. People losing
- 20:03Speaker 3: eleven pounds in one practice and Chef's got to make
- 20:06Speaker 3: sure they gain it all back, and.
- 20:07Speaker 5: So we do appreciate the time as always.
- 20:09Speaker 9: Sir, Absolutely no problem.
- 20:11Speaker 5: Guess hashtag munchies.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Do you ever attend cooking classes like at Redstick Spice
- 20:18Speaker 3: And would you ever consider having your own cooking classes?
- 20:21Speaker 9: Uh? You know the cooking classes that I do are
- 20:24Speaker 9: actually with the athletes. So yeah, so we we we
- 20:28Speaker 9: do like teaching kitchens. I did roll with basketball not
- 20:31Speaker 9: too long ago, and I mean we try to do
- 20:34Speaker 9: them with each sport or at least give them an
- 20:38Speaker 9: opportunity to so that, you know, it's it's kind of
- 20:40Speaker 9: an educative life lesson for them as well. And it
- 20:43Speaker 9: also helps me build rapport and relationship with the athletes,
- 20:47Speaker 9: you know, specifically the younger ones that are coming in
- 20:49Speaker 9: that you know, are that the upper classmen you know,
- 20:54Speaker 9: have been with us for four years and so that
- 20:56Speaker 9: it's the relationships for there, so for transfers and freshmen
- 21:00Speaker 9: and even some sophomores. You know, it offers us opportunity
- 21:04Speaker 9: to food brings people together, right, So it's just just
- 21:07Speaker 9: one of those things.
- 21:09Speaker 6: Cheat hashtag munchies here. What is the worst experience with
- 21:13Speaker 6: fire you've ever had in the kitchen?
- 21:16Speaker 4: Oh?
- 21:16Speaker 9: Well, there's been a few where I start, you know,
- 21:21Speaker 9: I had during Amazon. You know, we we used to
- 21:25Speaker 9: do Amazon and we were using these corn the devices
- 21:30Speaker 9: that you put the food in were actually made out
- 21:33Speaker 9: of like corn shucks, and they caught fire. I mean,
- 21:37Speaker 9: there was like fifty thousand people in the in the
- 21:40Speaker 9: in the stadium that day because it was it was
- 21:42Speaker 9: a it was a catering event and one of our
- 21:46Speaker 9: stands cots, you know, like it was. It was a
- 21:48Speaker 9: big deal. I mean there was smoke rolling out of
- 21:52Speaker 9: the out of the stand, out of the you know,
- 21:54Speaker 9: the concession stand, and it got quite hairy. During a
- 21:58Speaker 9: baseball game one time, we had a fire kitch on
- 22:02Speaker 9: fire and it's set the antle system off. And I
- 22:05Speaker 9: don't know if you know what ANSEL is, but it's
- 22:07Speaker 9: it's it's it's a pressurized tank, you know, like if
- 22:11Speaker 9: you if you look at a fire extinguisher, it is
- 22:14Speaker 9: much like a fire extinguisher, but on a larger scale,
- 22:16Speaker 9: and it's it's piped or plumbed into these nozzles that
- 22:21Speaker 9: sit over top of the devices that you're cooking in, right,
- 22:24Speaker 9: And so it tripped the ANSEL system. And the crazy
- 22:27Speaker 9: part was is the antle system failed and so we
- 22:30Speaker 9: had we had to shut the building down because we
- 22:33Speaker 9: had to shut the stand down because of that. And
- 22:35Speaker 9: then the next day we had to shut the building
- 22:37Speaker 9: down because they were like, what the heck ansel isn't working.
- 22:40Speaker 9: If we have a fire like that, there's there's a
- 22:43Speaker 9: you know, the fire marshal is usually the health department
- 22:47Speaker 9: and people, you know, health department can shut down a restaurant,
- 22:50Speaker 9: but the fire marshal is the one that can shut
- 22:52Speaker 9: it down quickest. So yeah, we we've we've I've had
- 22:56Speaker 9: a few uh hairy days with fire in the kitchen.
- 23:00Speaker 6: Before you hashtags ahead, I was.
- 23:05Speaker 9: Just gonna say, the thing about a fire in the
- 23:06Speaker 9: kitchen is you have to be the one that has
- 23:08Speaker 9: a calm mind and not freaking out right.
- 23:11Speaker 3: Yeah, that'd be great at that hashtag munchies. Does chef
- 23:15Speaker 3: have an Alabama white sauce recipe?
- 23:18Speaker 9: We I do, but we don't use it too terribly often.
- 23:21Speaker 9: You know, it's like mayonnaise forward, and we try not
- 23:24Speaker 9: to we we try not to serve that too terribly much.
- 23:28Speaker 9: You know, it's it's not super healthy for you.
- 23:32Speaker 6: But yeah, people, yeah, it's a good.
- 23:35Speaker 3: People don't realize how much of a punch that sauces
- 23:41Speaker 3: can pack, Like you can get in some real trouble,
- 23:43Speaker 3: real fast with sauces and dressing.
- 23:45Speaker 9: Absolutely, man, the connoments are you gotta You've got to
- 23:48Speaker 9: check economis, man. I mean there's there's some fat stuff
- 23:51Speaker 9: in there, and only that a lot of a lot
- 23:53Speaker 9: of the stuff that comes commercial from the stores. Uh,
- 23:56Speaker 9: that's got stabilizers and preservatives in it, and that's the
- 23:58Speaker 9: stuff that we're trying to keep out of the human body.
- 24:02Speaker 6: Hi seg bunchies ask chef what his favorite fish is
- 24:06Speaker 6: to grill, So I'm assuming, like a outside grilling, what's
- 24:09Speaker 6: your favorite fish?
- 24:10Speaker 9: Well, not to be as smart Alec, but it's the
- 24:12Speaker 9: one that I just caught you. And I mean that,
- 24:16Speaker 9: you know, like flavor wise though, gosh, that's that's it's
- 24:20Speaker 9: gonna be tough because I like, you know, grouper triple tails,
- 24:25Speaker 9: delicious fish, you know, on the grill, it's gonna be
- 24:29Speaker 9: something firm, you know, like snapper, grouper, tilefish, triple tails,
- 24:34Speaker 9: something like that.
- 24:35Speaker 6: You know.
- 24:35Speaker 9: I love the deep fry speckled trout and those softer fish.
- 24:40Speaker 9: I mean, even tuna, you know, like I like to
- 24:42Speaker 9: slap tuna on the grill real quickly and then and
- 24:44Speaker 9: give it a sere But I mean, honestly, you guys know,
- 24:48Speaker 9: I fish, and so it really the piece of fish
- 24:50Speaker 9: that I love the most is the one that's just caught,
- 24:53Speaker 9: that's fresh. And you know, fishing, you can't really control
- 24:56Speaker 9: what you can target. Try to target the fish. But yeah,
- 25:00Speaker 9: I mean I rarely have I found a fish I
- 25:02Speaker 9: didn't like, the you know, chef.
- 25:04Speaker 3: Kind of going back to sauces, and I'm with you
- 25:07Speaker 3: on that, Like when you catch the fish, it just
- 25:09Speaker 3: taste better going back to sauces though, because we had
- 25:12Speaker 3: some questions inside the chat as well, maybe about some
- 25:15Speaker 3: sauces that you use there with the players, knowing that
- 25:18Speaker 3: you've got to be careful about, you know, what is
- 25:20Speaker 3: truly in these sauces as far as fat content, the
- 25:23Speaker 3: calories and all that stuff.
- 25:24Speaker 9: Yeah, so it's a good question, you know. Like we,
- 25:29Speaker 9: for instance, we did something on green mes the other
- 25:31Speaker 9: day just to kind of brighten it up and make
- 25:34Speaker 9: it taste a little bit different and making a more
- 25:36Speaker 9: vibrant dish. We took olive oil and a little bit
- 25:42Speaker 9: of butter so that the olive oil tastes like butter,
- 25:45Speaker 9: and then we making emulsion with that with like a
- 25:48Speaker 9: vegetable stock or a chicken stock or a flavorful liquid
- 25:52Speaker 9: by putting xanthin gum into the oil and it stabilizes
- 25:58Speaker 9: the mixture together. You can finds anthem gun. But but
- 26:02Speaker 9: what happens is you kind of it's it's almost like
- 26:04Speaker 9: making a vinaigrette, right, and you get the flavor from
- 26:08Speaker 9: the butter, you get the flavor from the stock kind
- 26:13Speaker 9: of blended together. It's it's almost like a balute if
- 26:16Speaker 9: you will. Uh, and it's I don't know it. It's
- 26:21Speaker 9: just a really vibrant, flavorful sauce. We use a lot
- 26:25Speaker 9: of vinegar, balsamic and white vinegars.
- 26:28Speaker 6: We used.
- 26:29Speaker 9: We're all tons of really high end olive oils, you know,
- 26:34Speaker 9: Like we get into the varietals of the olives, of
- 26:36Speaker 9: the olives, not just bolling buying extra virgin olive oil.
- 26:40Speaker 9: Like we get into picules and our bichinas and coja
- 26:45Speaker 9: blanca and stuff like that, because specific varietals have higher polyphenols,
- 26:51Speaker 9: and so we we have to pay attention to that.
- 26:53Speaker 9: It's not just cheap, every day, run of the mill
- 26:55Speaker 9: mixed blend olive oil. Like we we look at the
- 26:59Speaker 9: specific i tools of the of the olives.
- 27:02Speaker 6: Jeff, you're talking about zanthon ga, you cant got like
- 27:05Speaker 6: food sciencey on that guy excited from being like my
- 27:08Speaker 6: background the food and beverage world. It's like that that
- 27:11Speaker 6: that's pretty cool that you go into that much deep thought,
- 27:13Speaker 6: just like normal dressings and sauces and things like that.
- 27:16Speaker 6: But the hashtag bunches. Can you taste the difference? So
- 27:19Speaker 6: when you're fishing, you talked about fresh fish? Can you
- 27:22Speaker 6: taste the difference when you immediately clean a fish or
- 27:27Speaker 6: stick it in the ice chest for a couple hours
- 27:29Speaker 6: and clean it later. Is there is there a difference
- 27:31Speaker 6: of getting it cut and bled out and everything like
- 27:33Speaker 6: right there?
- 27:34Speaker 9: Yeah, well you said the word there bled out right
- 27:37Speaker 9: Like there are fish that you can you know, like
- 27:39Speaker 9: a larger species of fish if the bloodline's not thick,
- 27:42Speaker 9: I think that you can put it in the ice
- 27:44Speaker 9: chest and get a similar taste. But it is the
- 27:47Speaker 9: bleeding out like it. I think it's always better to
- 27:49Speaker 9: bleed the fish out immediately so that you don't have
- 27:52Speaker 9: to worry about that because the bleeding out process, for
- 27:55Speaker 9: people who don't understand it, fish urinate through the bloodstream
- 28:00Speaker 9: through a lot of fish do at least through their
- 28:03Speaker 9: through their skin and the bloodline runs up against the
- 28:07Speaker 9: side of the skin and it permeates out of the skin.
- 28:10Speaker 9: And so if you don't believe the fish and leave
- 28:14Speaker 9: the blood in the fish when and you don't know,
- 28:17Speaker 9: Also you need to clean the blood line out of
- 28:19Speaker 9: it just to be safe. But you know, if you
- 28:21Speaker 9: bite into that when you're cooking it, it tastes like
- 28:23Speaker 9: uratic acid, which translates into urine if you will, you know,
- 28:31Speaker 9: like it can it can, it can? It can taste
- 28:34Speaker 9: really bad, right, And so yeah, I think there is
- 28:38Speaker 9: something for the for the purests, you know. I do
- 28:41Speaker 9: think that there is a you know, flight differences there
- 28:43Speaker 9: and not so slight when you are you know, likely
- 28:47Speaker 9: leaving the blood line in and not being careful about that.
- 28:51Speaker 3: Hashtag munchies do chef use milk solids from clarifying butter
- 28:56Speaker 3: to flavor sauces so there is less.
- 28:59Speaker 9: Fat I guess we have in the past. I mean, honestly,
- 29:04Speaker 9: we don't cook with a whole lot of butter. We
- 29:06Speaker 9: cook with a lot of oils. You healthier oils, You
- 29:10Speaker 9: can do that, But there's a process to it, and
- 29:13Speaker 9: it's you know what I mean, Like for me, it's
- 29:15Speaker 9: why do we go to the length of doing that
- 29:17Speaker 9: when there's other things that are better that serve the
- 29:19Speaker 9: same purpose.
- 29:20Speaker 6: Right.
- 29:20Speaker 9: Yeah, there is flavor in it for sure, and they
- 29:23Speaker 9: have their value, but we we kind of avoid it
- 29:26Speaker 9: by not using butter. I mean, we use very little
- 29:28Speaker 9: butter there. We you know, like that there are times
- 29:30Speaker 9: where butter is necessary. Sometimes I just have to put
- 29:33Speaker 9: butter in mashed potatoes because it's the right thing to do.
- 29:38Speaker 9: But by and large, if we're cooking with it, you know,
- 29:41Speaker 9: like sauteing or something, we'll use we use like we
- 29:44Speaker 9: have a saute blend oil that has rice Rice brand
- 29:47Speaker 9: oil in it. It has some canola, has a little
- 29:51Speaker 9: olive oil in there for flavor, but it's been blended
- 29:53Speaker 9: and constructed for high heats purposes and it's you know,
- 29:58Speaker 9: like the tolerance of it is up five hundred degrees
- 30:01Speaker 9: to be in a saute pan. If we're mixing oil
- 30:04Speaker 9: into a salad, you know, we're going to use extra
- 30:07Speaker 9: virgin olive oil. If we're you know, putting it on chicken.
- 30:10Speaker 9: To put it in an oven, we use a blend
- 30:12Speaker 9: that's a fifty to fifty blend of olive oil and
- 30:15Speaker 9: canola oil or so so, I mean the food at
- 30:20Speaker 9: the nutrition center is what I call thoughtful food. You know,
- 30:22Speaker 9: Matt said it a minute ago. You know, there's there's
- 30:24Speaker 9: a thought process that goes into it, that dives deeper
- 30:27Speaker 9: into each thing that we do, right, and some people
- 30:32Speaker 9: some people get that and some people don't. But for us,
- 30:35Speaker 9: it's what makes the difference in the kitchen and in
- 30:37Speaker 9: the food.
- 30:38Speaker 6: Yeah. Yeah, uh, just like to expand on the whole
- 30:41Speaker 6: using the oil, it was like, what's the I know,
- 30:43Speaker 6: there's a like a I don't know if it's popular,
- 30:45Speaker 6: it's just recently I figure there's kind of a war
- 30:47Speaker 6: against like seed oils out there. Do you know anything
- 30:49Speaker 6: about this? Like what's the health concerns and what's the
- 30:51Speaker 6: all time?
- 30:52Speaker 5: Does he know anything about this?
- 30:54Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 30:55Speaker 6: You know.
- 30:55Speaker 9: I mean honestly, I haven't pee too terribly much attention
- 30:57Speaker 9: because I never really bought into the seed oil process,
- 31:01Speaker 9: you know, because seed oils are so expensive in order
- 31:03Speaker 9: to get it. I think it has something to do
- 31:06Speaker 9: with GMOs and and like you know, like what's actually
- 31:12Speaker 9: in the plant itself that it's passing through into the
- 31:16Speaker 9: seed and it gets stored into the body fats and
- 31:18Speaker 9: it's not healthy stuff necessarily like it's not it's not
- 31:21Speaker 9: necessarily the oil, but it's stuff that the oil carries
- 31:24Speaker 9: with it.
- 31:24Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 31:25Speaker 9: I never really got into seed oils though, because you know,
- 31:28Speaker 9: like for a for a small butter, for a small
- 31:31Speaker 9: bottle of seed oil, you can buy six olive oils.
- 31:34Speaker 9: You know that, you it. I never just bought into it.
- 31:38Speaker 6: You know.
- 31:38Speaker 9: I go with what I feel is best and what
- 31:42Speaker 9: my research has said. And you know, plus I'm an Italian,
- 31:45Speaker 9: so I love all of uh you know, I mean
- 31:49Speaker 9: you can go avocado oil and stuff like that, which
- 31:52Speaker 9: is healthy, but it's super expensive and and for me
- 31:55Speaker 9: running you know, I am running a business, so you know,
- 31:58Speaker 9: it's cost prohibitive to you know, feed five hundred people.
- 32:02Speaker 9: You know, grape seed oil it's you know, it's it's
- 32:05Speaker 9: it's it's just not going to happen, right, I have
- 32:07Speaker 9: to I have to be smart about my money. So
- 32:11Speaker 9: I never really got into it. And so they can
- 32:15Speaker 9: say what they want about the seeds. It does with
- 32:17Speaker 9: it kind of matter not to me.
- 32:20Speaker 6: All right.
- 32:20Speaker 3: There is our guy, chef, Michael Johnson, Executive chef over
- 32:24Speaker 3: at LSU.
- 32:25Speaker 5: Chef.
- 32:25Speaker 3: We appreciate the time certainly during the busy training camp
- 32:28Speaker 3: and always look forward to our next conversation.
- 32:31Speaker 9: Absolutely, guys, you gotta take care.
- 32:36Speaker 5: I always get it.
- 32:37Speaker 3: I always am amazed by whatever the question is.
- 32:42Speaker 6: Which question is he gonna blow your mind out? And
- 32:48Speaker 6: I just learned that fish urinate in their bloodstream.
- 32:52Speaker 5: I the same.
- 32:54Speaker 6: I was like, that whole explanation was about the fish. Unbelievable.
- 33:00Speaker 6: That's incredible.
- 33:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 33:01Speaker 3: I love having them all in one of my favorite
- 33:03Speaker 3: segments every single week. All right, before we take this break,

- 35:47Speaker 5: I don't know either way. Welcome back in what a hit?
- 35:53Speaker 5: Such the words?
- 35:57Speaker 3: Uh the New Orleans Saints are out west, out there
- 36:01Speaker 3: in SOCl the land of Flynn.
- 36:03Speaker 6: Gross, you've never.
- 36:05Speaker 3: Been like you only know Oakland, Oakland, California. Ain't even
- 36:12Speaker 3: as like Orange County and San Diego.
- 36:15Speaker 6: I hate it.
- 36:17Speaker 3: Wow, Boo left Coast Diego, home of Camp Pendleton, home
- 36:24Speaker 3: of Mira mar top Gun never heard of it used
- 36:28Speaker 3: to be not anymore, but still it was. I guess
- 36:32Speaker 3: you don't Cornado where the Navy train.
- 36:36Speaker 6: Every single sounds like a terry person family supporter out there.
- 36:41Speaker 6: But the rest of California except for Napa. Love the wine.
- 36:44Speaker 6: That's a good time.
- 36:46Speaker 5: God, I love the wine. Who are you and what'd
- 36:50Speaker 5: you do with my quarterback?
- 36:51Speaker 6: Wait? Are you saying be gritty to drink wine? No,
- 36:55Speaker 6: but the way you just said, the way you have
- 36:57Speaker 6: ever done a Napatra and Napa trip is like really fun.
- 37:00Speaker 3: That's my dream, like going to a Napa trip.
- 37:08Speaker 6: Nothing. I'm just saying, like you you're weird. It's a
- 37:11Speaker 6: weird thing, you know.
- 37:12Speaker 3: I'm saying like I'm sitting here talking about the military.
- 37:14Speaker 3: I'm we're talking about Camp Pendleton and Mira mar I'm
- 37:19Speaker 3: sitting here trying to lift up our troops and you're
- 37:21Speaker 3: over there talking about, Yeah, the wine's graat in Napa.
- 37:24Speaker 6: First of all, I was talking about what probably most
- 37:27Speaker 6: people feel here in Louisiana is that California stinks. And
- 37:31Speaker 6: then you brought this, like into this whole military situation,
- 37:34Speaker 6: which I said, I all love it. That's a great
- 37:36Speaker 6: part of the only good part of California. And then
- 37:39Speaker 6: I said, except you know, the wine part that's good
- 37:43Speaker 6: all right, let's don't you put that evil on me.
- 37:46Speaker 6: Just you put that slanderous word.
- 37:48Speaker 5: What did you put that on me?
- 37:49Speaker 3: Ricky, Bobby exactly think you said it. I just reported
- 37:52Speaker 3: the news, but no, I.
- 37:54Speaker 6: Didn't say it. We want to think all our story.
- 38:00Speaker 5: Just stop. You've already the juice is already out of
- 38:03Speaker 5: the container.
- 38:03Speaker 3: But what OTV loves the troops? Yeah, this was supposed
- 38:11Speaker 3: to be a Saint segment. It's right there, like behind me,
- 38:15Speaker 3: a Saint segment. Taylor's just fuming over there because I
- 38:19Speaker 3: know he needs.
- 38:20Speaker 9: It all right.
- 38:20Speaker 8: You got two minutes ago.
- 38:22Speaker 6: I know he needs it all right.
- 38:24Speaker 3: When the Saints get back from Southern California, I want
- 38:30Speaker 3: to know who the starting quarterback is going to be.
- 38:34Speaker 5: I think.
- 38:37Speaker 3: That you are in a position right now where you
- 38:40Speaker 3: need to have a quarterback name so the the fellas,
- 38:46Speaker 3: the troops can rally around said quarterback. I just think
- 38:50Speaker 3: it's different than college football, and Matt, maybe you disagree
- 38:53Speaker 3: with me. You've been in quarterback battles. I have not,
- 38:55Speaker 3: so I don't know, but I'm just telling you from
- 38:58Speaker 3: a position player, I want to know who my guy
- 39:02Speaker 3: is going to be. And I think if you play
- 39:04Speaker 3: this preseason game and there's there's signs pointing to Schuck
- 39:11Speaker 3: or Ratler, whoever. I think it's gonna be Raller. I
- 39:14Speaker 3: think we all do. Why wait? Why wait? If the
- 39:19Speaker 3: reports are true from the people that we respect, checking
- 39:23Speaker 3: Mount Louisiana Sports done net, Ratler's been the better quarterback.
- 39:28Speaker 3: And if he goes out against the Chargers, who scoring
- 39:31Speaker 3: defense last year was top in the league, and he
- 39:35Speaker 3: plays well, why wait naming the starting quarterback?
- 39:39Speaker 6: Yeah? I mean, I understand your point, but frankly, nobody's
- 39:42Speaker 6: opinion matters except for one person's opinion. And it's hard
- 39:45Speaker 6: to make a decision when you go into a training
- 39:47Speaker 6: camp with a true quarterback battle, and you mean it
- 39:51Speaker 6: as a head coach, you say it is an open competition.
- 39:54Speaker 6: You can't make a decision before at least one game. Now,
- 39:59Speaker 6: you couldn't have a really good idea. And then I
- 40:02Speaker 6: think in the first game, if he proves everybody right
- 40:06Speaker 6: and what he's done the first two weeks, his body
- 40:09Speaker 6: of work that he's done so far in training camp,
- 40:13Speaker 6: if that shows up in game one of preseason, then
- 40:16Speaker 6: I think it's a different conversation. But you can't have
- 40:18Speaker 6: that you can't make that decision if it was truly
- 40:21Speaker 6: open after just two weeks of practice, especially two weeks
- 40:25Speaker 6: of pritice, whereas three people rotating. Now, if it was
- 40:28Speaker 6: just two people and there was a clear, clear difference
- 40:31Speaker 6: between one and two, yeah, but with a third, there's
- 40:35Speaker 6: just you know, those a third less reps for both
- 40:37Speaker 6: those guys. So I think you can't make that decision
- 40:41Speaker 6: if it was a true open competition, which it is,
- 40:44Speaker 6: until you at least see it with the uniform on.
- 40:48Speaker 6: And I agree with that decision. But I agree with
- 40:50Speaker 6: you what your statement in your stands, like you you
- 40:53Speaker 6: have to know like this this is the NFL. You
- 40:55Speaker 6: can't wait until August thirtieth to make a decision. Yeah,
- 40:59Speaker 6: I guess it. Like like all the teammates, all the
- 41:01Speaker 6: teammates want somebody to rally behind, like they want a team.
- 41:05Speaker 6: They want to interlock arms and walk forward. Yeah, they
- 41:07Speaker 6: don't want to keep changing those people that are interlocking arts.
- 41:10Speaker 6: They want to like have one established group.
- 41:12Speaker 3: And then yeah, that's my point is if if it's clear,
- 41:15Speaker 3: which it seems like it's been.
- 41:17Speaker 6: Seems like but it still has so if it continues
- 41:19Speaker 6: to be.
- 41:20Speaker 3: Clear, that look, if Ratler goes out there and he
- 41:22Speaker 3: doesn't play well, and shut lights it up, stay open,
- 41:26Speaker 3: stay open. Then you give yourself maybe another week. But
- 41:29Speaker 3: you I feel like you wasted time. Giving Jake Hayner
- 41:33Speaker 3: one reps for two days of training camp feels like
- 41:36Speaker 3: wasted reps.
- 41:38Speaker 5: So I feel like you're already behind the eight ball.
- 41:40Speaker 3: So if Spencer Ratler goes out there, plays well against
- 41:43Speaker 3: the Chargers, naming the starter, if he struggles and Shuck
- 41:45Speaker 3: plays well, keep it open, and you can keep it
- 41:48Speaker 3: open for another week, but you you've kind of shown
- 41:52Speaker 3: that you're you know, you've gone from three to two.
- 41:57Speaker 3: If Rattler goes out there and plays well, again, he's
- 42:00Speaker 3: been the leader in the clubhouse. Just name the starter,
- 42:04Speaker 3: allow the team to rally around him and move forward
- 42:07Speaker 3: Spencer Rattler and keep Tyler Schuck ready, continue to develop him,
- 42:12Speaker 3: and if Ratley doesn't play well in the season, maybe
- 42:14Speaker 3: you make that change. But as somebody that's you know,
- 42:18Speaker 3: in that huddle, in that backfield, I want to start
- 42:21Speaker 3: to hear the voice, not just another voice.
- 42:24Speaker 6: I'll play a little devil's advocate, just on my experience
- 42:26Speaker 6: when I was in Seattle first.
- 42:29Speaker 5: Two weeks all the time.
- 42:30Speaker 6: I take that I was the best quarterback first two
- 42:33Speaker 6: weeks of Seattle training camp. I didn't like show out
- 42:38Speaker 6: great in the first preseason game I was there for.
- 42:40Speaker 6: I only played like ten or fifteen plays the first
- 42:42Speaker 6: preseason game. Russell played really well and he continued to
- 42:45Speaker 6: play well in the games. Then it just like, but
- 42:47Speaker 6: that was so you can't like completely Basically you got
- 42:50Speaker 6: to see it in the game.
- 42:53Speaker 5: And we've got a game, not tonight, not the.
- 42:58Speaker 6: It was yesterday, Sunday, Sunday.
- 43:02Speaker 5: Infend yourself. You can't defend yourself. We don't have time
- 43:06Speaker 5: for you to defend yourself.
- 43:07Speaker 3: We'll get a break wrapping it up pass the bench
- 43:10Speaker 3: when we come back here.
- 43:11Speaker 5: On TP the bench.
- 43:16Speaker 3: If you are going to a game this year for
- 43:19Speaker 3: the Tigers, and really if you're going to that opening game,
