- 0:00Speaker 1: No. The Mark Simone Show.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Nine till noon weekdays.
- 0:04Speaker 1: More Mark. 710WOR.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Well, the number one TV anchor for decades. The number
- 0:12Speaker 2: one best-selling non-fiction author on Earth. His latest book is
- 0:16Speaker 2: coming out, Confronting America. You should pre-order it right now. And,
- 0:21Speaker 2: of course, he does a great podcast. We'll do it live.
- 0:24Speaker 2: He's got his YouTube channel, Bill O'Reilly on YouTube. And,
- 0:27Speaker 2: of course, the website BillOReilly.com has everything there. You can
- 0:32Speaker 2: get the book, the podcast, the TV show, the column, BillOReilly.com.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Bill O'Reilly, how are you doing?
- 0:40Speaker 1: Lamenting the end of summer. I'm lamenting today.
- 0:44Speaker 2: It's not over yet. You've got another couple of weeks.
- 0:47Speaker 1: You know, with the book promotion, though, it's crazy. All
- 0:51Speaker 1: my time is taken by that. And I want to
- 0:54Speaker 1: tell you an interesting story. So I sent advance copies
- 0:59Speaker 1: to you and a few other people of Confronting America,
- 1:03Speaker 1: What Has to Change. And I sent it to people
- 1:07Speaker 1: that I knew would read it or at least most
- 1:09Speaker 1: of it. I don't want to waste book copies on
- 1:12Speaker 1: people I know aren't going to read anything. So in
- 1:15Speaker 1: the process, I sent copies to three of my liberal friends.
- 1:20Speaker 1: and three of my moderate conservative friends, not far right.
- 1:24Speaker 1: And the liberals weren't crazy left either. And I said, look,
- 1:28Speaker 1: just do me a favor and read as much as
- 1:31Speaker 1: you can and then give me a report on whether
- 1:34Speaker 1: you like the book or not. Okay. So it comes
- 1:38Speaker 1: back where the three moderate conservatives are delirious with joy.
- 1:44Speaker 1: They read the book in a day, most of them,
- 1:47Speaker 1: and it is great, blah, blah, blah, blah. But all
- 1:50Speaker 1: three liberals, who I've known for many years, hated the book. Really?
- 1:55Speaker 1: Hated it.
- 1:56Speaker 2: What's to hate in that book?
- 1:59Speaker 1: Well, the reason, because obviously I asked them, was that
- 2:06Speaker 1: I placed blame on the individual American for things that
- 2:16Speaker 1: are going wrong. Which I do. Yeah. I mean, every
- 2:24Speaker 1: problem is caused by an individual or individuals. Human beings.
- 2:31Speaker 1: AI isn't causing the problem. Okay? It's folks that are
- 2:36Speaker 1: causing the problems. And they won't fix them or they're,
- 2:39Speaker 1: you know, making them worse or whatever it may be.
- 2:43Speaker 1: And I said to them, I said, look, if you...
- 2:46Speaker 1: If you read the thing, and there's not a lot
- 2:48Speaker 1: of ideology in this book. I mean, it's not a
- 2:50Speaker 1: conservative book. It's not a pro-Trump or anti-Biden book. That's
- 2:54Speaker 1: not what we do. We say, here is the problem.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Kids in New York City can't read. How do you
- 3:03Speaker 1: fix it? How did it happen? And it happened because
- 3:09Speaker 1: of derelict parents. That's why it happened. Now, you can
- 3:14Speaker 1: fix it. But that's going to take discipline, which the
- 3:19Speaker 1: left does not want to apply to anything. It's always
- 3:23Speaker 1: society's fault. It's never the individual's fault. And so that
- 3:29Speaker 1: was a very interesting analysis that I got back. I'm
- 3:33Speaker 1: going to do a big thing, big take on this
- 3:35Speaker 1: tonight on the No Spin News, because we're not in
- 3:40Speaker 1: the midterms voting for people. We're not voting for people
- 3:44Speaker 1: in the midterms. Okay, no matter who's on the ballot
- 3:47Speaker 1: in your district, whatever senators, you're not voting for that person.
- 3:53Speaker 1: You are voting for movements. So if you support the
- 4:00Speaker 1: Democratic candidate and that candidate is too afraid to confront
- 4:05Speaker 1: the radical socialists, then you're voting for radical socialism. You! You!
- 4:14Speaker 1: You're not voting for Ossoff in Georgia. You're voting for
- 4:18Speaker 1: the damage that's going to be done by his party.
- 4:24Speaker 1: And also, if you are a Trump supporter and you
- 4:28Speaker 1: love everything that Trump does, okay, you're voting for semi-madness
- 4:35Speaker 1: and changing the names of everything. I don't even know
- 4:37Speaker 1: what the names are anymore. I used to know the
- 4:40Speaker 1: Great Lakes. I don't know that now. New Mexico? What
- 4:44Speaker 1: are we doing? We don't need to do this. Trump
- 4:47Speaker 1: is a good economic story to tell if he would
- 4:49Speaker 1: only tell it. So anyway, I hate to go on
- 4:54Speaker 1: a diatribe, but that was a very, very interesting thing
- 5:00Speaker 1: that happened over vacation.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Well, it's a great book. It's called Confronting America. Now,
- 5:05Speaker 2: it's coming out Tuesday.
- 5:07Speaker 1: September 15th, a week from today.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Yeah, pre-order it right now. In fact, you pre-order, you
- 5:14Speaker 2: usually get it early. You just go to Amazon or
- 5:17Speaker 2: BillOReilly.com and pre-order the book Confronting America. Hey, there's a reason,
- 5:22Speaker 2: I forgot what it was, why all the books come
- 5:23Speaker 2: out on Tuesday. They figured out that's the best day
- 5:26Speaker 2: to release a book.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Yeah, and, you know, the publishing houses don't want to
- 5:33Speaker 1: get caught up in weekend madness where people are going
- 5:36Speaker 1: to the movies or they're doing stuff. So Tuesday is
- 5:39Speaker 1: kind of a day where not much happens. So they
- 5:45Speaker 1: put the books out and they hope that the books
- 5:49Speaker 1: will have legs, which means that people will buy them,
- 5:52Speaker 1: tell their neighbor, and then the neighbor will buy it.
- 5:54Speaker 1: And that's how it goes down. Yeah.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Hey, but the average American, what's the average American supposed
- 6:00Speaker 2: to do? You know, they come home from work. They
- 6:02Speaker 2: put on the nightly news on the network. They don't
- 6:04Speaker 2: realize it's now slanted, biased, totally corrupt. The Sunday shows
- 6:08Speaker 2: are totally corrupt. send their kids to college, the professors
- 6:11Speaker 2: are indoctrinating them. What is the average American supposed to
- 6:14Speaker 2: do about that?
- 6:16Speaker 1: Well, you have to run your own home. And that's
- 6:20Speaker 1: the danger of the democratic socialist communist movement, that the
- 6:28Speaker 1: far-left radicals want to take parental authority away. They want
- 6:33Speaker 1: to take power away from the individuals. And very simple.
- 6:38Speaker 1: How much more tax can we pay? How much more
- 6:42Speaker 1: can you pay? I got my tax bill today. I
- 6:48Speaker 1: have to pay in advance because there's a bunch of
- 6:53Speaker 1: numbers and corporations and things like that. And I'm just
- 6:57Speaker 1: looking at myself going, I can't pay any more. And
- 7:03Speaker 1: they're going to tax every blanking thing. If you vote
- 7:07Speaker 1: for a Democrat, no matter who it is, moderate, radical,
- 7:12Speaker 1: you are going to be taxed more. You are going
- 7:16Speaker 1: to lose more of your take-home pay because the party
- 7:22Speaker 1: is bent on redistributing income. That's what they want to do,
- 7:26Speaker 1: and they will do it. So the less money you have,
- 7:32Speaker 1: the less power you have. That people can abuse you.
- 7:37Speaker 1: That you can't live in a neighborhood you want to
- 7:39Speaker 1: live in. Can't drive a car you want. Because the
- 7:42Speaker 1: government is taking your money away from you. And that's
- 7:49Speaker 1: the Democratic Party. And they don't deny it. You don't
- 7:53Speaker 1: hear any denials, oh, we're going to cut taxes. Wait
- 7:57Speaker 1: a minute. You guys having, the Democrats having cut taxes
- 8:02Speaker 1: since Grover Cleveland. When are you going to start? I mean,
- 8:08Speaker 1: this is insane. So I'm trying to get everybody to
- 8:12Speaker 1: stop with the individual stuff. I hate Trump. So what?
- 8:17Speaker 1: What good does that do the country that you hate Trump?
- 8:20Speaker 1: Or you love him? What good does it do? It
- 8:22Speaker 1: doesn't do the country any good. What does is that
- 8:26Speaker 1: you're recognizing the big picture and how it will affect
- 8:30Speaker 1: you and your family. And the democratic radicals want to
- 8:36Speaker 1: take away your power. And you do that by taking
- 8:42Speaker 1: away your money. And New York city is the best
- 8:47Speaker 1: example in the world of that. Yeah.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Well, hopefully they get that together, the messaging on that
- 8:53Speaker 2: and get that across. Uh, Hey, uh, we're just about
- 8:56Speaker 2: out of time. The podcast, we'll do it live. Everybody
- 8:58Speaker 2: should be watching this and your great interview with JD
- 9:01Speaker 2: Vance and, uh, And what's coming up next on the podcast?
- 9:06Speaker 1: Monica Crowley.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Oh, very good.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Excellent. So Monica's got a fascinating story. She worked for
- 9:16Speaker 1: Richard Nixon after he was a civilian. Yeah. And she
- 9:21Speaker 1: got to see all the impeachment stuff that, you know,
- 9:24Speaker 1: they were going to throw him out anyway and then
- 9:27Speaker 1: pardon him today. This is the anniversary of the Nixon
- 9:31Speaker 1: pardon today.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Wow.
- 9:33Speaker 1: So Monica saw all that. And now Monica is an ambassador.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Did you know that? Yeah.
- 9:39Speaker 2: She greets all the foreign leaders.
- 9:40Speaker 1: She's an ambassador.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:42Speaker 1: So I want to know exactly what she does. And
- 9:47Speaker 1: I've known Monica forever. And she was not treated very
- 9:50Speaker 1: well by some people. And, you know, I didn't like
- 9:54Speaker 1: that very much. So I took a little action. I
- 9:58Speaker 1: protect myself. friends.
