- 0:11Speaker 1: want of only Steve Harky got what radio show man?
- 0:18Speaker 1: What you're doing with it? Trying to do the very
- 0:20Speaker 1: very best I can with it? I really am. You know,
- 0:23Speaker 1: I get tired sometimes on my journey. I'm not gonna
- 0:27Speaker 1: kid you. Trying to make something about yourself is a task.
- 0:35Speaker 1: If you want to attempt to do something, and and
- 0:39Speaker 1: and understand going in that that the if the thing
- 0:44Speaker 1: you're trying to do is to improve yourself, to better
- 0:48Speaker 1: your position, to better your relationship, your family, anything, You're
- 0:54Speaker 1: trying to be a better you. You're trying to make
- 0:57Speaker 1: more money, You're trying to get it together, you trying
- 1:01Speaker 1: to change if any of those things are in your
- 1:06Speaker 1: hopes and dreams. Know this right here, you are about
- 1:11Speaker 1: to face some challenges. But you might as well go
- 1:16Speaker 1: ahead anyway and face those challenges because if you don't,
- 1:20Speaker 1: you have a whole other set of challenges to face.
- 1:24Speaker 1: You know. It's an amazing thing, man, how people sit
- 1:28Speaker 1: around and they watch other people strike out to become successful.
- 1:32Speaker 1: They sit in the stands watching these people play out
- 1:36Speaker 1: these games, and they and they, and they criticize, they boo,
- 1:40Speaker 1: they laugh at their efforts and everything, and they talk
- 1:44Speaker 1: about the failse he missed that game when he shop boy,
- 1:47Speaker 1: he sunk man, he did this. He ain't worth that.
- 1:50Speaker 1: I hear people who sit and stands who criticize people
- 1:57Speaker 1: who are out there on the playing field. Now, when
- 2:01Speaker 1: you're on the playing field, you have a set of
- 2:04Speaker 1: challenges in front of you. You're going to be open
- 2:07Speaker 1: to criticism, You're going to be open to ridicule. You're
- 2:12Speaker 1: going to be talked about when you don't know the
- 2:14Speaker 1: people who are talking about you. Now, here's the upside
- 2:22Speaker 1: to being the player on the field that's facing all
- 2:26Speaker 1: the challenges, to criticisms, the laughing, the joke, to being
- 2:29Speaker 1: talked about. He has something going for him. This person, boy, woman, child, girl,
- 2:39Speaker 1: man has an opportunity to win. They have an opportunity
- 2:46Speaker 1: to win. And in the game of life, just because
- 2:51Speaker 1: you lose one of the games or you lose one
- 2:54Speaker 1: of the matches, it don't mean you've lost. You don't
- 2:58Speaker 1: get put out playing. And when you're playing, here's the upside.
- 3:05Speaker 1: You have the opportunity to win. But guess what, you're
- 3:08Speaker 1: gonna win some of the matches. You're gonna win some
- 3:11Speaker 1: of the points. You're gonna make some of the dunks.
- 3:13Speaker 1: You're gonna hit some of them over the wall. You're
- 3:15Speaker 1: gonna hit some out the park. You're gonna score some goals.
- 3:19Speaker 1: You will if you're playing the game. Here's the problem
- 3:24Speaker 1: with the people who don't face criticism, who nobody boos
- 3:29Speaker 1: or cheers for, who sits in the stands and knows
- 3:34Speaker 1: neither victory nor defeat. Those people, without realizing it, are
- 3:42Speaker 1: facing a set of challenges also. And the challenges they're
- 3:46Speaker 1: facing is how I'm gonna live with myself? What I'm
- 3:52Speaker 1: gonna do? Now? What direction am I going in? Where
- 3:59Speaker 1: am I live? Wonder what job will hire me? Wonder
- 4:07Speaker 1: if I can get paid for criticizing? Ah, woe is me?
- 4:14Speaker 1: I can't find the purpose in my life. And man,
- 4:19Speaker 1: I'm just waking up in a state of confusion. I
- 4:21Speaker 1: don't know what to do. Now, let me ask you something,
- 4:25Speaker 1: which one of them set the challenges you'd rather be
- 4:28Speaker 1: faced with? Because if I'm on the flow playing, if
- 4:31Speaker 1: I'm on the field playing, if I'm out on the
- 4:34Speaker 1: court playing, then guess what I got a chance at winning.
- 4:39Speaker 1: But guess what I'm doing every day while I'm playing.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I'm strategizing. I'm waking up with the purpose. I'm waking
- 4:46Speaker 1: up trying to come up with another angle. I'm in
- 4:50Speaker 1: pursuit of a goal every single day, versus the people
- 4:57Speaker 1: in the stands who know neither victory nor defeat. Get
- 5:06Speaker 1: in the game, face the challenges. Better yourself, better your wife,
- 5:12Speaker 1: better your children, better your condition, better your employment status,
- 5:15Speaker 1: better your job, better your career. Take a shot. Come on, man,
- 5:19Speaker 1: what you waiting on? Because the alternative is to watch
- 5:23Speaker 1: other people play the game? You know what I just do?
- 5:27Speaker 1: Sometimes sometimes I just I get Forbes magazine or Money magazine,
- 5:32Speaker 1: or sometimes I still grab a copy of the rob Report.
- 5:36Speaker 1: I just flip through it just to see. I used
- 5:39Speaker 1: to get this book called Unique Homes. Unique Homes is
- 5:43Speaker 1: a magazine that just has a lot of extravagant houses
- 5:46Speaker 1: that's on sale across the country, across the world. I
- 5:49Speaker 1: used to flip through. Man, let me just see, man,
- 5:53Speaker 1: what the people that's playing the game out there doing.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Stop watching other people become successful when you could easily
- 6:00Speaker 1: be you if you make the decision. But when you
- 6:04Speaker 1: make the decision to become successful, get ready for a
- 6:07Speaker 1: series of challenges. I think it's more difficult not to
- 6:11Speaker 1: accept the challenge. I think it's for me. This is
- 6:16Speaker 1: just for me. It may not be the case for you.
- 6:18Speaker 1: For me, I think it's far more difficult to wake
- 6:20Speaker 1: up and just see how life gonna go today, because man,
- 6:23Speaker 1: it could just deal you any kind of hand today.
- 6:27Speaker 1: You understand, I don't like, you know, spades. Let's talk
- 6:33Speaker 1: a card game for a town. The game of spades. Really, man,
- 6:36Speaker 1: it ain't a whole lot you can do if you
- 6:37Speaker 1: don't get no spades. Really, it's a little couple of
- 6:41Speaker 1: little strategies you're gonna do. But you can have all
- 6:44Speaker 1: this age, king, queen, diamond all you want. But man,
- 6:46Speaker 1: you ain't got no spage. They cutting them. You're in trouble.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Be it. With different game. You can create what's in
- 6:54Speaker 1: your hand. You got dealt a hand too, But you
- 6:57Speaker 1: can create a hand. You can call a trump. You
- 7:00Speaker 1: can make diamonds your spades. You can make hard to
- 7:03Speaker 1: clubs your spades. That's what I'm saying. What you can
- 7:06Speaker 1: do something with it. It's a different game, man. You
- 7:09Speaker 1: can strategize. I would rather have a say so in
- 7:12Speaker 1: my life than to wake up every day and just
- 7:14Speaker 1: see how it's going. I think it's more difficult to
- 7:17Speaker 1: not accept the challenge to be something than it is
- 7:20Speaker 1: to accept the challenge to be something. I think it's
- 7:23Speaker 1: more difficult to sit around and not be nothing. I
- 7:26Speaker 1: think it's harder to watch everybody in life going somewhere
- 7:29Speaker 1: but mine. I think it would be very difficult for
- 7:32Speaker 1: me to sit here and hear them talking about other
- 7:34Speaker 1: people that never mentioned my name. It would be difficult
- 7:37Speaker 1: for me to see everybody rise and getting promotions accept me.
- 7:41Speaker 1: That would be difficult for me. It may not be
- 7:44Speaker 1: for you, but for me it would be quite challenging.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I would rather accept the challenge of making something out
- 7:49Speaker 1: of my life than to sit there and criticize those
- 7:53Speaker 1: and then watch and see how my life just may go. Okay,
- 7:57Speaker 1: just a thought today to the Steve Harvey Morning Show
