- 2:27new listener here. I found your podcast while looking to commiserate with somebody on
- 2:31this season of Welcome to Plathville. So thanks for reviewing this show. I
- 2:37was watching the latest episode with my husband and pointed something out that he didn't
- 2:42seem to see, so wondering what your take is on it. Barry is
- 2:45in LA with the boys, and Kim is being asked to move in with
- 2:49her boyfriend, and then we have the little girls here with Lydia and she's
- 2:55sang. Everyone else is on vacation, so I decided I'll just take I'm
- 3:00on a road trip. But the road trip is to a recording studio,
- 3:04and I'm just not so sure that this wasn't something that has been planned and
- 3:09it was interrupted because her parents just decided they're going to do their thing and
- 3:15we'll just parentify her even more. Just your thoughts on that. Feeling pretty
- 3:22bad for her in this point, her parents are living their own lives and
- 3:27leaving her to care for these little girls, despite any plan she may have.
- 3:30What are your thoughts or am I overthinking this? Thanks? You go
- 3:36first, because I called you today and I screamed about this. I know.
- 3:39I think Lydia's like the forgotten child, like they really just don't care,
- 3:44and they think that she's so well rounded and mature and can handle things
- 3:49on her own, even though she's only eighteen nineteen at this point, and
- 3:53so yeah, I think they totally just leave her in the dust, and
- 3:54they're like, we're going to go party and do our own being, have
- 3:58fun taking care of the little girl. Because you're old enough to do that,
- 4:00it's fine. Yeah, I think she's the logan of the Plath family.
- 4:04And in this episode, you know, the Barry is still gone,
- 4:09and so Lydia, I guess, is back from Nashville and she's taking care
- 4:13of the girls and she's talking about Jesus a lot. She's up in her
- 4:16closet. But I just felt really bad for her because I think she wants
- 4:20to have her own life. Yeah, obviously we learn that she has a
- 4:24boyfriend, which is awesome, but like she wants to get out and live
- 4:27her life. And Barry, I mean, I understand that you're doing better,
- 4:31that you're stepping up, but like, you can't just be dumping your
- 4:34kids on the one kid who's been parentified this entire time. I feel bad
- 4:40for her. I know I feel bad for her too, and she's just
- 4:43smiling her way through it and praying her way through it, like it's not
- 4:46that big of a deal. But I feel like it'll come out later in
- 4:48her adult life, especially when she starts being a mom of her own and
- 4:51realizes like, damn, I've been doing this since I was like ten,
- 4:55yeah, and having to take care of everybody else, But who's taking care
- 4:58of me? Right? We do know though, that this past summer she
- 5:01was traveling in some kind of a mission group going all across the country,
- 5:06so presumably she was able to break away from the plaid family home and start
- 5:11doing her own thing. But yeah, what we're watching right now, I
- 5:14think is unfair, and I'm just like, it just makes me more mad
- 5:16at Kim because Kim. While Barry is in Los Angeles or in California,
- 5:21Kim is down in Crawfordsville, Florida having an adulteroust affair with Ken Palmer,
- 5:27and Lydia is the one that's stepping up. I know. It's really gross.
- 5:30It's really freaking gross, and Kim acting like, well, it's my
- 5:33chance to be happy. It's like, okay, what about your kids?
- 5:36You have three minor children, actually have four minor children, because Isaac is
- 5:41still a minor. It's not fair, right, totally totally agree, Yes,
- 5:44thank your husband. Yeah, I can't believe there's a husband watching it.
- 5:47My husband won't watch it. He'll just see it and walk right through
- 5:49the roo music. I'm not watching these people. They're so boring. I'm
- 5:53like, they're not boring, They're fascinating, the absolutely fascinating. All right,
- 5:57let's get into the season finale of Walk to Platfill, which is season
- 6:01five, episode fourteen, entitled to be or not to Be? That is
- 6:05the question, okay, And the primary things that I wanted to get into,
- 6:12of course, was the conversation between Ethan and Mariah, the final moving
- 6:17out, breakup of Kim and Barry, yeah, and the breakup of Ethan
- 6:24and Olivia. And you had said to me last night when you watched it
- 6:27because I didn't want it to today, that you have some controversial opinions.
- 6:30Yeah, and I'm thinking, well, that's interesting. Yeah, I don't
- 6:33know if they're going to be that controversial. We end up usually being on
- 6:36the same page. Yeah, we'll see. I'll have you tell me your
- 6:39opinions first and then we'll see if you agree. Okay, Well, before
- 6:42we get into it, what are like some of or like one of your
- 6:46major takeaways from the show. I mean, I'm liking Barry more and more
- 6:50every episode. I like the way that he carries himself with the whole like
- 6:55division of everything with Kim, like he's just being Hella chill, even though
- 7:00Kim and her talking heads is like trying to throw him under the bus and
- 7:02act like he's the one that's controlling their finances and controlling the divvying up of
- 7:08everything that they owned, when she's just being a selfish bitch like the entire
- 7:12time. So I'm really liking Barry. I think he's like made a huge
- 7:15turn around from season one season two, and I think he's like really grown
- 7:19up and is focusing on his relationships with his kids, even though he's like
- 7:25leaving Lydia in the dust and just like letting her parent the rest of his
- 7:29kids. But we do see him during the season taking them down to Florida
- 7:32doing things with them, so I do think he is stepping up. And
- 7:35when he was talking about how so many people in the world have never heard
- 7:41their father say I love you, and he just that's all he wants his
- 7:45children to understand is that he loves them, I was just like, I'm
- 7:46getting tearball, I know, I'm getting back. I love that as well.
- 7:50My major takeaway is actually a question, and it's a question that I
- 7:56have for you. Oh no, and that question is when was the last
- 7:59time you cooked a meal? I like to bitch. I couldn't believe that.
- 8:07I was pissed off by Ethan saying that. Interesting. I was pissed
- 8:11off by Ethan saying that. That triggered me. And if anything out of
- 8:16his mouth would have turned me turned my boat in a different direction, it
- 8:22would be some misogynistic bullshit like that, because I think they have such bigger
- 8:28issues than who's cooking what meal. And by the way, we saw Olivia
- 8:33cooking a meal just a couple of episodes ago. She was cooking some weird
- 8:35mushroom breakfast omelet thing, but like it was just so insulting and to me,
- 8:41reducing their relation down to these gender roles. And I was like,
- 8:45oh God, because I think he has valid points. Don't get me wrong,
- 8:48I think she does. But like him saying when was the last time
- 8:52you cooked a meal? I was like, somebody get me my nun chucks
- 8:56and my brass knuckles and let's go to Victoria, Minnesota. That's where I
- 9:00was left with that, And I guess that's where it's going to be.
- 9:03It's gonna be controversial. I love it when we disagree. Okay, so
- 9:07let's get into the episode. You right, Okay, let's do it.
- 9:09Okay. We start this episode in California. If you recall last week,
- 9:15Ethan and Mariah sat down on their respective benches to have a conversation about what
- 9:20went wrong in their relationships. So what was some of your thoughts about this
- 9:24scene. Well, I don't really know who to believe in terms of the
- 9:28whole like music debacle, because Mariah was talking to Ethan about it, and
- 9:33she does apologize in this segment for overreacting for the music thing. But Ethan
- 9:39brings up that actually, before they left for Europe, there was a moment
- 9:43where Mariah and Olivia sat in the kitchen on her laptop, Olivia's laptop,
- 9:48and Olivia's like, this is the password, this is how you log into
- 9:52your shit, and Mariah allegedly says, oh, thanks, now I can
- 9:56access it while you're gone. But Mariah's denying it in the moment and saying,
- 10:01I don't recall that. I can promise you that never happened like I
- 10:03would have remembered that. She says, I can promise you that never happened
- 10:07on the couch. She doesn't say it in the moment, No, she
- 10:09doesn't, but she says, I don't recall, and that didn't happen,
- 10:13right, And so I just don't know who to believe. I believe Ethan.
- 10:16I don't know. I was so specific, Yeah, And I mean,
- 10:20like, why would he lie about it? I mean, I guess
- 10:22his motivation to, I guess lie about it if he is lying, is
- 10:24to protect Olivia. But I don't think he is lying. It's just it
- 10:28rubbed me the wrong way when Ethan was like, no, Mariah, you
- 10:31had problems with your mom before Olivia came to the picture, it wasn't all
- 10:35Olivia. When Mariah's literally trying to communicate to him that the problems with between
- 10:41Mariah and the family were exacerbated by Olivia, and he's not seeing that.
- 10:45He's not seeing that Olivia influenced it. So that's where I'm kind of like,
- 10:48oh, I don't know, and I believe he's not doing that.
- 10:52I feel like he's seeing that Olivia influenced it. His main problem is that
- 10:54Mariah is acting like it's solely Olivia's fault, but she's not, of course,
- 11:00And Mariah is like, actually, I blame myself more than I blame
- 11:03Olivia. But when I was watching that, when he was being so specific
- 11:07about what happened before they went on their Europe trip, my gut told me
- 11:13that he was telling the truth. And I think it probably happened, and
- 11:16Mariah wasn't paying attention because up until that point she had her whole existence facilitated
- 11:22for her by Olivia and Ethan, And so why do I have to pay
- 11:26attention? Right, Like, why shouldn't I be writing it down or putting
- 11:28it in. I don't have to do that. It's going to be fine,
- 11:30like lazy, lazy, lazy, which is in keeping with her maybe
- 11:33not paying her bills, not paying the rent on time. I don't know
- 11:35these other complaints that Ethan also has. So I thoroughly believe that she was
- 11:39given the information, she didn't remember it, and then ultimately she threatened some
- 11:43kind of legal action because she didn't know how to get to her own music.
- 11:46Yeah, because she overreacted, and she does acknowledge that, and so
- 11:50at least she took ownership over that. But I think the whole like overarching
- 11:54theme of the conversation, which was that Mariah was saying, like, look,
- 12:00has kind of pulled you away from the family. She's kind of like
- 12:03talked about the family the entire time that you guys have been married, and
- 12:07she influenced my relationship with the family, and I don't think that that's right,
- 12:09and like, I'll be civil with her if it means I can have
- 12:13a relationship with you. Like that was all kind of shadowed under this stupid
- 12:16music storyline. Yes, And I'm kind of annoyed that it was still like
- 12:20dragged onto the very nast episode because I just thought it was like so lame
- 12:24and dumb. And I'm also annoyed that they didn't get into the credit card
- 12:28situation with details and with facts, because that's kind of one of the primary
- 12:31problems, Yeah, is that the siblings made a social media post calling out
- 12:37Olivia for lying about Kim and the credit card, and so if somebody had
- 12:41just taken us through it, which Olivia ultimately did, I think on TikTok,
- 12:45she told her side of the story, like, but nobody on that
- 12:46side of the family is taking the time to do it, and we should
- 12:50have been having that conversation and also we should have been talking about Kim getting
- 12:52a DWI by the time they're filming this for real, agreed, and like
- 12:58fucking getting into a crash almost killing herself, Like why aren't we talking about
- 13:01that? That's the kind of stuff that makes me really angry about all of
- 13:05this. We also see Ethan apologizing to Mariah, like, I shouldn't have
- 13:09let you and Micah into my marital issues and problems, which I found interesting,
- 13:13Yeah, because I wonder if Ethan had been running back to Mariah and
- 13:20Micah and telling his version of events about Olivia and contributing to them turning against
- 13:26Olivia just because he was bitchin about it, Yeah, which is something I
- 13:30mean, I think you should really never do, right. You should never
- 13:33involve like your family with the problems in your marriage if you can help it.
- 13:37Right. So he apologized for that, yeah, and that was good,
- 13:39And I mean he apologized for even putting them in that situation because it
- 13:43puts them in a rock and a hard place of like choosing between Olivia and
- 13:46their brother, and obviously their allegiance is going to be to their brother.
- 13:50It's like we talked about it a couple episodes ago. About how like if
- 13:54it was okay for Ethan to be talking about his marriage with Micah at the
- 13:56bar, but I wonder if that was what he was meaning, Like I'm
- 14:01sorry for like bringing Micah to the bar and like talking about it, or
- 14:05like maybe mentioning a few things to Mariah, but like not really getting into
- 14:07all the details. I can't see. Or maybe he did, maybe,
- 14:11but I don't know. He just doesn't know how to fucking communicate though,
- 14:15right, I don't know. I thought that was very interesting. Mariah ultimately
- 14:20says something like I just want you to be free, you know, I
- 14:22don't want you to be unhappy. And this is where Ethan says something like,
- 14:26well, you just don't understand what it's like to have like this beautiful
- 14:28marriage that's just starting out. You guys have all of this good energy,
- 14:33this hope, and this optimism, and then it gets taken away. And
- 14:37I was trying to interpret here, it sounds like it gets taken away by
- 14:41Olivia, who becomes fixated on Kim and the problem that she's having with Kim
- 14:46and or the rest of the family. And so as soon as Olivia becomes
- 14:50fixated because she's just substituted one family life for another family life that resembles it
- 14:56in a great deal, then his happy future is gone. And she's basically
- 15:01saying, right, you don't know what that feels like that fucking sucks,
- 15:03yeah, And I mean in her talking head, she's like, it must
- 15:07be really painful for him. But she doesn't say anything really in the moment,
- 15:11which is kind of like a missed opportunity in my opinion, like she
- 15:13could have offered him some real comfort and genuine compassion, because yeah, it's
- 15:18really hard, And he says, you don't know what it's like to lose
- 15:22something so precious to you, Like he has never once like talked bad about
- 15:26Olivia on TV. He's never said anything bad about her like or disparage their
- 15:30marriage in any way. Like he's sad that they are breaking up because of
- 15:33all of the shit that they can't work out anything, and obviously because he
- 15:37wants her to be a tad wife and she won't want she doesn't want to
- 15:39be one. So I feel bad for him in this moment because I do
- 15:45think he's genuinely upset at the at their marriage ending because of all the scrap,
- 15:50because they couldn't overcome any of the family. I do as well.
- 15:52But I'm just wondering what changed, because we saw, like in the first
- 15:54third of this season him bugging Olivia about having kids, right, so that
- 15:58was just a few months ago, Like what suddenly changed so drastically, Like
- 16:03did she register as a Democrat or something? Did she attend an lgbtq A
- 16:07rally or something like, I don't understand what took you from I want to
- 16:11have children right now? Can we do it to I can't have kids with
- 16:15you. People are saying online it's like about the patriotism aspect, like he
- 16:19doesn't want Olivia teaching his kids. I don't know if this is true or
- 16:22not. This is all legit and from people on Reddit, so take it
- 16:25with a grain of salt. But people are saying that it's because Olivia would
- 16:29teach their kids to hate America and be anti the government and all this stuff,
- 16:33and so that's like his end all be all. But I'm like,
- 16:37I don't know. I think it's like faith based and them having something in
- 16:41common. I think they're so drastically different at this point, and he's like,
- 16:45I just want to like have similar values when we raise kids. Is
- 16:48that so hard to have and she wants that too. I mean, she
- 16:52wants him to like think the same things as her too and like be open.
- 16:56Well she's I don't know if she does. I know what she says.
- 16:57She says that she's been thinking for years when they're sitting down on the
- 17:00couch about how like they can have their different perspectives, their different points of
- 17:06view, but like as long as they respect one another, they can.
- 17:10She sees a world where they can raise a child respectfully with like maybe all
- 17:14of the views and the child can choose. So I don't know if that's
- 17:17true or not. I just I don't see any evidence that it could be
- 17:22about patriotism, because Olivia has done nothing that's unpatriotic or hateful toward America.
- 17:26Right. The only thing she's to me, it feels about like homophobia.
- 17:30Maybe to me, it feels like it's about gay people. It's about this
- 17:34type of an issue, and Ethan is just a hard pass. He's just
- 17:41got a boundary around it, and he's not going to want his kids to
- 17:44grow up in an environment where that's accepted. And I wish they would just
- 17:48say the quiet part out loud, like is that the issue, And I
- 17:51wonder if Olivia is going to come out over time and say whether that is.
- 17:55You know, she's going to write a book and she's going to trash
- 17:57this mofo and this whole entire family for all it's worth, and she's gonna
- 18:00make a lot of money from it. I also wonder if it's a Trump
- 18:03thing, maybe Trump versus b don't I don't really know. They don't say
- 18:07it, but so we're left to just kind of guess. To kind of
- 18:11wrap up the conversation between Mariah and Ethan, Ethan's like, you don't understand,
- 18:17though, what it's like to be in a marriage, because he doesn't
- 18:19say all this. I'm obviously editorializing, But you're a kid. Yeah,
- 18:22you haven't been in a relationship like this at all, and you don't stay
- 18:27with your family. You cleave to your wife or to your husband, and
- 18:32you put them first. That's actually what the Bible says, and that is
- 18:34what I am doing in this relationship. And you wouldn't know that though,
- 18:37because you've never had a relationship like that. So how about check back in
- 18:41with me when you're a full grown adult and you have some prospective Thanks.
- 18:45I did love that that was so based honestly, because it's true, like
- 18:48when you marry your spouse, like that should be your priority as opposed to
- 18:52everything else. Right, And he proved that this whole entire series. He
- 18:56went no contact with his family, He almost beat up his dad or Olivia
- 19:00and all these things, and yet it was never enough for her. No,
- 19:03it wasn't enough for her. But like Mariah saying something like, wow,
- 19:07I know that when I get married, I'm going to make sure that
- 19:10I honor my husband's family and that he honors my family, I'm like,
- 19:12Okay, talk to me when you get there. Though, Yeah, shit
- 19:15happens. Life happens, right, People are different, and drama ensues,
- 19:21right, and when it does, you're supposed to take up for your spouse
- 19:23first and foremost well. And yet the difference here with Olivia always has been
- 19:29is like she didn't have to get along with Ethan's family at all, Like
- 19:33she shouldn't have been expected to like have this beautiful, amazing relationship with Kim
- 19:37or any of the kids or anything like that. But she shouldn't have just
- 19:41like not advocated for everybody else to have a relationship with them. That's what
- 19:45Mariah's kind of getting at but she also sucks at communicating because she's twelve years
- 19:48old and and she's a blast, right, so nobody can actually communicate properly
- 19:53what they're actually feeling. That's the problem is that Olivia never supported the older
- 19:59kids Ethan having a good relationship with their family, right, because she saw
- 20:03the Plaths as solely evil and terrible and awful to be around, and so
- 20:07therefore nobody should have a relationship. Mariah actually says she never said one nice
- 20:14thing about the family, right, and I believe it. I do too,
- 20:17And and Ethan didn't argue with her because Ethan knows that's true. Yep.
- 20:22So in the next segment, we go back to Caro, and this
- 20:26is where we're visiting with Lydia. She's in her prayer clauset, looking at
- 20:29all of her scribbled prayers to Jesus. THEO I honestly thought was her boyfriend,
- 20:33but I guess I was wrong. I guess it's the actual real boy
- 20:37I know. And she's taken care of the three younger girls. I don't
- 20:40know where Isaac is. He's off fly in his plane. But this is
- 20:42where we learn that Lydia has got a man. I know she got her
- 20:48a man. And we saw a picture of him from behind. He's a
- 20:51very tall man. I was like, is that Max? It's not I
- 20:56kind of looks like it, right. She seems really happy. She's pretty
- 21:00private about it. She says that the family likes him. He's the sweetest
- 21:04boy every man. He's a man of God. Do you mean a boy
- 21:08of God? Do you mean zygoat of God? Do you mean feetus of
- 21:11God? Like? Have you kissed? Have you hold hand? They're not
- 21:15fucking? Do you think they're dry humping? Maybe I just learned or Thanksgiving
- 21:19what soaking was? What's soaking? I guess soaking is what the Mormons do
- 21:25when some like evangelical Christians. Now see I'm wondering if I get it wrong
- 21:29now, but apparently you just stick your peepee inside the girl and you soak.
- 21:34What do you mean, like you just you just basking the liquid of
- 21:38it all? You so you don't gyrate or anything, Well you're not supposed
- 21:42to. It's kind of like a different version of just the tip or like
- 21:45edging or whatever. Yeah, it's just like, here's my dick up in
- 21:48your pounana and I'm just gonna soak here and we're just gonna feel it like
- 21:52that, and so you're not supposed to move, and it's so dumb because
- 21:55you think you're not gonna get pregnant. That's not how that works. But
- 21:59it's amana called soaking. And please, if you're watching on YouTube in the
- 22:03comments if I have this wrong because I'm a boomer, which I'm not,
- 22:06but if I'm a boomer, tell us what soaking is. Oh, but
- 22:10I'm just wondering as Lydia's soaking with her boy with her. She's too much
- 22:14of a good Christian girl to do that well. But like we were talking
- 22:18to my nephew, like grew up in the Evangelical church, and he was
- 22:22just like, strictly butt sex because that's Jesus likes that better. And we
- 22:26had to educate him on that on you can get aids from that. He's
- 22:30like, oh, I thought only cake could get get all kinds of different
- 22:33things from then. The only gig guys may help meet people need an education
- 22:37in God. And so Lydia is so happy. And maybe if there's another
- 22:41season of plaithfill which we can discuss maybe towards the end, whether we think
- 22:45there will be maybe we can actually meet her new boyfriend. Yeah, that
- 22:49would be cool. I love that. After that, we head on back
- 22:53to California. It's the last day of their little vacation. They do a
- 22:57sunset hike. Ethan and Mariah are speaking again and they go scale some sort
- 23:03of a hill and Barry just thinks to himself that this is great. It's
- 23:10symbolic of how relationships can be healed. You can talk through things with people
- 23:15that you love and it can get better. And he's really really happy that
- 23:18they're all together. Yeah. I thought that was really sweet and wholesome.
- 23:21It seemed like a good trip, and I'm glad that Ethan came and had
- 23:25time with his family away from Olivia. Yeah, it was really good.
- 23:27I thought so too. Yeah. Then we get to the Division of Assets,
- 23:33Honey. In the nexter scene, we have Barry back home. He's
- 23:37going through some pictures because Kim's about to come over and she's going to take
- 23:42some things, and he's trying to select some pictures for himself and pack some
- 23:47things up for her. So what did you think about this? I thought
- 23:51it was kind of wholesome, like he's just going through family photos and like
- 23:55just cherishing all of the memories. And I thought that was really sweet because
- 23:57I think about, like my parents did this and they didn't want to look
- 24:02at any photos at all, Like they didn't want to look at their wedding
- 24:03photos, they didn't want to look at photos of each other in them,
- 24:07and like when they divided photos and everything up, like my dad was like,
- 24:11I don't want any photos of your mom and my mom the same way
- 24:14with my dad. I'm like, that's so weird. It is weird.
- 24:15Like I'm glad that Barry can at least look at it all and be like,
- 24:18this was a beautiful marriage, like and Kim says it in her talking
- 24:22head too, like out of twenty five years of marriage, like the best
- 24:26things that came out of it were all of their children that they had.
- 24:29And I'm glad that they both can acknowledge that and they're acting civil. I
- 24:33wonder if there is gonna be another season of Platfell, if we're gonna get
- 24:37into more drama between Kim and Barry. Yeah, it's a little bit telegraphed
- 24:41when Barry talks about knowing that he's gonna have to be in the same room
- 24:45with Ken Palmer at some point in the future and he's just gonna have to
- 24:48learn how to act and he's doing it for the kids. But I'm like,
- 24:51ooh, I hope so yeah that goes yeah, because I honestly don't
- 24:55think Kim Palmer wants to step tennis. Yeah, I do not think.
- 24:59So. I also learned that the visitation has kind of switched up. Whereas
- 25:03Kim was getting the girls from Wednesday to Sunday and then Barry from Sunday to
- 25:07Wednesday, now the girls are going one week with Kim, one week with
- 25:11Barry. And I think it was Mercy the little one, who was saying,
- 25:15I like that better because that means I get to be home more and
- 25:18see my dad more. Yeah. I'm like, oh shit, they're favoring
- 25:22their dad over Kim. Oh yeah, which is good. I love that.
- 25:26And we already know she's made up her mind to move in with Ken,
- 25:29and we already know she's probably living with him right now at the time
- 25:32of this filming. And so imagine the girls having to go down to Crawfordsville,
- 25:37Florida and spend their fifty to fifty time with Ken Palmer and Kim making
- 25:41out in the kitchen as they make steak in a s bargas and drink their
- 25:47boots in her mini skirts. Did you notice when she came yes in that
- 25:52mini skirt and no bra? No bra? Girl? Was she sending a
- 25:55message to Barry? What kind of message would that be? Like you remiss
- 25:57this cause no, I don't. I think having some support is actually way
- 26:03more sexy than just flopping on out there. Jesus, Mary and Joseph,
- 26:07don't body shame. I'm not trying to body shame. I'm just like support.
- 26:11Your girls got big girls. I got big girls too. They need
- 26:12to be in some kind of a bra. They need infrastructure. I don't
- 26:17know is she being sexy girl? Because I wasn't getting sexy? No,
- 26:21I was getting I need you to put a jacket, That's what I need
- 26:23you to do. Then we also have the information from Kim that Barry does
- 26:33not want Kim to live in that house and Barry wants to sell that house,
- 26:38and Kim's like, because with Barry it's all about the almighty dollar girl,
- 26:44So he doesn't want me to live here. Okay, but you're gonna
- 26:48split the proceeds though, right, and you probably have like at least one
- 26:52of those rental properties, and you have the whole ass ballet studio that you
- 26:55made him buy you right with the apartment, so grimey a river. Yeah,
- 27:00and then she's like, well, but you know, when I think
- 27:02about it, there's a lot of negative things that have happened here, and
- 27:06so it's okay to leave it. Yeah, okay, like you cheating on
- 27:08your house yet. But she wanted it, Yeah, she wants she wants
- 27:11everything. Of course, I'm really curious to see what their divorce settlement looks
- 27:15like. Apparently by the time she shows up here, they've already pretty much
- 27:19agreed on everything, so she's here to pick stuff up. But I'm like,
- 27:22is she getting alimony? Does she get child support? Because it's fifty
- 27:26to fifty so why should she get it and not him? Right? Is
- 27:30it just a division of their property and their things, or like, is
- 27:33she going to get some maintenance going forward because she was she was his wife
- 27:37for twenty five years. She didn't work, yeah, and he gave her
- 27:41a lifestyle to which she became accustomed he did. Is he going to agree
- 27:45to pay her alimony for ten years? Oh my gosh? And child support
- 27:48on top of that because you know she's going to want him to pay child
- 27:52support for the three littles. Yeah, but if it's fifty to fifty,
- 27:55like she's not supposed to get any right, I don't know how it works.
- 27:56I think you can still get it really, yeah, Okay, well,
- 28:00I don't know. It depends on the state laws. I really want
- 28:03to know. And as far as I know, I know they're saying like
- 28:04the divorce hasn't been finalized yet, but like I haven't seen anything anywhere about
- 28:11it, So I'm like, I don't know what's really going on. Okay,
- 28:15And then we get to this Linel train set, right, So Kim
- 28:18talks about how she wants that train set and Barry's like thinking of a different
- 28:22train set, and he's like, no, that was the trainset that my
- 28:26parents gave us, and I thought it was funny. How Isaac's like,
- 28:30yeah, mom, you're wrong. Quickly, I'm like, quickly came to
- 28:33Barry's defense and he was wrong. Oh, he was wrong, and he
- 28:37admitted to it eventually after he realized, oh, yeah, we have two
- 28:40train sets. So here's the boofy one that Bill gave you, and then
- 28:44I'll take the one that my parents got. But you did see Kim back
- 28:47down. Kim even says to the camera, like, I know the moment,
- 28:51Barry is shutting down and he's getting stubborn, and I know that it's
- 28:55not going to do me any good to argue with him, and so he'll
- 28:57go and look on his own and figure it out for himself. Sounds like
- 29:02Ethan Plath probably, yeah, just shutting down, Yeah, and he's getting
- 29:04upset. She also says later in this particular scene that she's seen a new
- 29:10side of Barry since the divorce, and maybe if he'd been more emotionally tuned
- 29:15when they were married, they wouldn't be on this path. And I'm like
- 29:18to myself saying, self, if my spouse was an adulteress, Oh,
- 29:25you'd be seeing a different side of me too, one that has nunchucks,
- 29:29brass knuckles and a gun. Yeah, that's a side you'd be seeing of
- 29:33me for real. So I mean, what do you expect? Do you
- 29:37expect him to just be super accommodating to your bullshit and your adult rate.
- 29:41I think she wanted him to be mad. I think she wanted him to
- 29:45like fight for her, Like maybe she had some weird complex, like maybe
- 29:48if he fights for me and gets mad and that means that he truly loved
- 29:52me or something. I don't know, like, And granted, I understand
- 29:56maybe her bitterness towards seeing him chain into the man that she wanted him to
- 30:02be during their marriage, because she did allegedly tell him for twenty five years
- 30:07that she wanted him to be different and he didn't. And he admits to
- 30:10this. He admitted to it, like a couple episodes ago, about how
- 30:12he could have been better and he could have been more attentive to her needs
- 30:15but it's too late now and so whatever. But I'm like, Kim,
- 30:19why are you saying this shit? And then the producers, Yeah, ask
- 30:23Barry this question, which I was not expecting. They ask him. So
- 30:27if Kim, you know, comes around on like a year or whatever and
- 30:32is like, hey, I made a mistake. Is the door still open?
- 30:34And Barry says, I can't answer that right now? What does that
- 30:38mean? He doesn't want to answer it, don't I don't know, Like
- 30:45I think sometimes the producers catch him off guard, like when they asked,
- 30:48have you met Ken and he's like, no comment, Yeah, but I
- 30:52mean I think we can speculate. I don't think he would take her back,
- 30:56No way. I don't think it's going to be that long before he
- 31:00he gets a date. He goes out and meets a woman, and he
- 31:03starts seeing how good it can get out there in those raccoon streets. Yes,
- 31:06I would love that, without being anchored down by an adulterous hope who's
- 31:11super self absorbed and delegates all of her duties to lydia plath. Yes,
- 31:15and eats a lot of sugar, and eats a lot of sugar, and
- 31:18also flips her car because she's driving drunk. I've got no grace or compassion
- 31:23for people who drive drunk. I just don't. There's no excuse for it.
- 31:26And so came, you're a piece of shit on its face. Yep,
- 31:30that's what I believe. Agreed, Okay, And so then they start
- 31:33loading up the trailer. Little Isaac, Oh my god, he's just walking
- 31:37around like cowboys. He's got his wranglers on and he's got his ariot cowboy
- 31:42boots. I'm imagining he's got his hat on. I'm just like, look
- 31:45at this young man, I know, so handsome. He's so handsome,
- 31:49and he's like I'm gonna go to college. I'm gonna get my four year
- 31:52degree and then I'm gonna become a pilot. I'm like, yes, King,
- 31:56Yes, And I see him doing it. Actually, I see him
- 31:59being very a comp But when he said I will be the first in our
- 32:01family to go to college, I'm like, didn't Barry get a degree?
- 32:06Did he? I know he went to university, that's where he met Kim.
- 32:09Right, I don't know if it, did he finish it or whatever,
- 32:12or maybe he didn't get a four year degree. Maybe he didn't get
- 32:14a four year degree, or maybe he didn't graduate, which is a surprise
- 32:16to me, Like, how are you owning all of this property? What
- 32:20is the secret to your Wow? I know how much money is he making
- 32:23as a transportation analyst or whatever his stupid job is? I have no I
- 32:30So they pack up Kim and she leaves. Yeah, and that's it.
- 32:35That's all. She wrote that his family is destroyed. You feel good,
- 32:37Kim, Just what you want is sad. Yeah. When they were dividing
- 32:43up everything and it got down to Kim and the baby pictures, and she
- 32:47was like can I take all these? And Berry's like yeah, but can
- 32:51I get copies. She's like, oh, well, you can cut out
- 32:52my face of them, and he's like, no, it's a package deal.
- 32:55This is my life in history. I find cut you out me too.
- 32:59Her. I think he really did loved the fact that she had all
- 33:02of these babies for him and they created such a beautiful family of all these
- 33:07real well rounded kids, even though they had no education, right because they
- 33:10were taught by a drunk mom. Right. But it's just like, I
- 33:14don't know, I really loved how Barry was like so mature and just like
- 33:17besides the trainset thing, which was just like a genuine misunderstanding, I thought
- 33:22it was really great. Kim was expecting like drama. I think I think
- 33:25so too, And I actually think Kim did love him, yeah, in
- 33:32the way that she could, in the way that a narcissist can. But
- 33:36when you keep in mind that it was Kim that was shopping this show to
- 33:39different networks. It was Kim who and Olivia was helping her. It was
- 33:45Kim who wanted the fame. Like as soon as she got a little bit
- 33:50of it, she bounced. Yep, she left. She pieced out for
- 33:52kN fucking Palmer. Of all the people I'm like, really, I would
- 33:55have gone on like a fitness journey. I mean per and I got a
- 34:00fitness journey. I would have gotten super fly, super hot, and then
- 34:04I would have put myself out first of all, I would have gotten a
- 34:06divorce first. Yeah, okay, and then I would have started dating around.
- 34:08Yes. I would also be going to therapy, probably therapizing for a
- 34:12couple of years before I even thought about dating anybody. But that's just me.
- 34:15I'm not just going to start running out there and banging Ken Palmer.
- 34:19Yeah, because you're not an adulterous home my god, honey, Okay this
- 34:24we are now at the final scene, yeah, with Ethan and Olivia.
- 34:30So he returns from California. This is the first time that they have sat
- 34:35down since they talked the last time, and she said, yeah, I
- 34:37know you're still talking, but maybe get a therapist because I don't want to
- 34:39listen to your ass. So they're sitting down on the couch and they're talking
- 34:45about their relationships. So what are some of your thoughts about this. I've
- 34:47got a lot of notes, a lot of I think poignant things that were
- 34:51signed like first and say it no no know what is tell me, okay.
- 34:53Well, the producer asks, like where they stand, and Olivia starts
- 35:00us off by saying, well, you know, in my vision for marriage,
- 35:05it always is going to lead to having a family. But as I've
- 35:08been thinking about having a family with Ethan, that made me face things that
- 35:15maybe I didn't want to look at before and just be honest about them.
- 35:17Yeah. Ethan says something like, well, honest about what, and Olivia
- 35:22says, the way that you've treated me mm hmm, the deception, the
- 35:25lack of communication. This is actually led to us separating before, Yeah,
- 35:30and it's still happening in our relationship, and so I have to face that,
- 35:35yeah, which I thought was interesting because on like a couple episodes ago,
- 35:37you were just talking about how you wanted to have kids with him,
- 35:40and now you're saying it's because of how he was treating you. And I
- 35:45don't know, like maybe he was treating her differently behind the camera. We
- 35:47don't know. I don't know these people in their personal lives. I don't
- 35:51know how Ethan is off camera and how he really talks to a stone cold
- 35:54and noncommunicative and non emotional. Well, but it's no because in season one
- 35:59and season he was like doing a lot of things for her and he has
- 36:02a five I think that's where he's at right now. Yeah, because they've
- 36:06already separated once and because Olivia kind of belittles him every time he tries to
- 36:10do anything for her that she asks him to do, and then it's never
- 36:13good enough. I mean, I guess, I mean you have to we
- 36:17have to acknowledge that Ethan is a broken person, yes, who doesn't know
- 36:21how to communicate, and when he gets mad, he just shuts down and
- 36:24there's no access to him. So she's probably I can see a world where
- 36:29she wants to fix it. She just wants to talk it through, and
- 36:30he's like, I'm sick of talking, which is why doesn't even want to
- 36:32talk to Mariah. He doesn't want to talk anymore in his life because Olivia
- 36:37has talked so much to him. But at the same time, that's what
- 36:39marriage is. You show up anyway. If the other person needs some space
- 36:43from you, you've got to give it to them, and he hasn't done
- 36:45it for her, escalating therefore the problem that they have now, I'm the
- 36:52last person to root for Olivia, but I just when he then said something
- 36:58along the lines of you know what you could do to fix this is you
- 37:01could reconnect with your family. Yeah, and make things right with your family,
- 37:07which, by the way, Olivia considers her family to be it sounds
- 37:09like abusive, at least religiously abusive. So you could reconnect with your family,
- 37:15get back to your core values, and be a trad wife like you
- 37:19said you were going to be when I married you four or five years ago.
- 37:22And this is where we get Olivia saying, listen, you want me
- 37:25to go back to a culture that is geared toward serving men. It's a
- 37:30patriarchal culture. And so you have a lot of privilege and a lot of
- 37:35audacity to tell me to go back to something that's gonna serve you. But
- 37:38is it gonna serve me? No, it's not gonna serve me because my
- 37:40biggest dream is to be some man's wife. Well what if I have bigger
- 37:45dreams than that? Right, And she has every right to feel that way,
- 37:49And I'm not like ever gonna say, oh, yeah, you should
- 37:51go back to a patriarchal, bullshit religious structure that was abusive and terrible to
- 37:54you and super toxic. So I totally agree with Olivia on that, because
- 37:59again, she has every right to be an independent woman and like live the
- 38:02way that she wants to live, and if Ethan can't adjust to that,
- 38:06then you know, so be it. That is what it is. But
- 38:09I do think that there was a little bit of truth with Ethan saying to
- 38:13her, like, I think the root of a lot of your problems is
- 38:15the issues and the relationships with your family. I do think that there was
- 38:19truth to that. She kind of spun it into the whole religious doctrine stuff
- 38:22because that's the filter that she's seeing everything from. And again that's fine,
- 38:27Like it's she's on her own journey. I can't tell her what to think
- 38:30or believe, but I do think that she has a hole in her heart
- 38:32that can't be fixed or can't be filled by anybody unless she learns how to
- 38:37deal with the lack that she feels with not having a relationship with her family,
- 38:43and like the loss that she feels but of not being able to talk
- 38:46with her parents and like have a good relationship like with you and me,
- 38:50Like she's not going to be able to ever have that with her parents,
- 38:52and then she couldn't even have that with Barry and Kim. So she's like
- 38:57reacting from this place of like extreme pain because yeah, nobody in her family
- 39:01wants to deal with her. Nobody in her family wants to talk to her.
- 39:05She has lydia grace, but only because it's convenient for her to have
- 39:07a friend after Mariah dumped her ass. So it's like, I feel for
- 39:13Olivia, but I think Ethan was right in reading her, like, You're
- 39:15never gonna find what you want unless you learn to deal with the relationships with
- 39:21your family and maybe go back to some of the core values in terms of
- 39:24like valuing your family or like loving your family. Yeah, but he's where
- 39:29I say that. No, he didn't. He doesn't say that because he
- 39:31doesn't know how to communicate it. Instead, he said, I think you
- 39:34should go back to some of your core values and reconnect with your family.
- 39:37This is where she brings up the patriarchal sort of culture. And then this
- 39:42is where he follows that up with, well, like, you know,
- 39:45men have inherent qualities that are manly, women have inherent qualities. Gender norms
- 39:51are normal, and when was the last time you cooked a meal? Like
- 39:55the way to a man's heart is three meals a day and it's what he's
- 40:00saying is you don't do the types of things wives should do to please their
- 40:04husbands. So kind of, then she goes from talking about this patriarchal culture
- 40:09and how toxic it is and how bad it was for her to him then
- 40:13parrotting back to her some patriarchal, toxic bullshit, misogynistic bullshit like where's my
- 40:16fucking foat? Yeah, where's my sandwich, bitch? And the thing is
- 40:21is I don't There are so many other things he could have said, right,
- 40:23There are so many other ways he could have said things. He has
- 40:27so many valid points. I'm actually rooting for Ethan in this conversation, but
- 40:30the way he said that was just oh, chrome magnum man og make fia,
- 40:37Oh for sure. Like the major issues that they have in their marriage
- 40:39is that neither one of them can communicate like what they really need from each
- 40:44other. Because Olivia's coming from this place of like, I really just want
- 40:46you to communicate better to me. Ethan doesn't necessarily get that because he thinks
- 40:51he's communicating okay to her, and like he thinks he's doing all of the
- 40:54things that she wants, but it's never good enough because again Olivia. It's
- 41:00never going to satisfy Olivia because she's got her own bullshit. And I think
- 41:04when they separated the first time, they should have just stayed separated. She
- 41:07wanted to be divorced from him, and then this whole conversation on the show.
- 41:13It was still on the show, and this whole conversation she kind of
- 41:15turns it around while like saying, Ethan, you're the one that wants to
- 41:19divorce, Like why don't you say it. It's like, no, bitch,
- 41:20you want a divorce too. Yes, but it does sound like he
- 41:23has been saying things like if you don't say yes to these three conditions for
- 41:29marriage, then we cannot be together. Yeah, And I loved when she
- 41:34kind of responded to his bullshit misogynistic where's my sandwich, bitch with It would
- 41:39be different if I loved to cook, and if like I had a passion
- 41:43and I felt really good and excited about cooking, and then when I cooked
- 41:45for you, you said, wow, that was so good, You're so
- 41:49good at it, and made it into something that was a higher expression of
- 41:52my love for you and your love for me. But instead it's like,
- 41:54if you don't cook, then I don't love you as much, So it's
- 41:59conditional. She's talking about conditions that she needs to meet in order to be
- 42:02in a relationship with Ethan. And at the end of the day, here's
- 42:05the thing. When they're saying our values don't line up, I don't want
- 42:08to bring kids into this mix. I think that's enlightened af. I think,
- 42:14thank you for thinking about that before you bring people into the world and
- 42:16confuse the shit out of them and give them all your problem. Of course,
- 42:20thank you, thank you. But at the same time, Ethan,
- 42:24he needs to learn how to say what he actually means. And I read
- 42:28a comment on Reddit that I thought was kind of interesting about this, if
- 42:30you don't mind. It's from user girl goal goals ninety five. She says,
- 42:36I'm from the South and religious and can confidently say Ethan didn't mean that
- 42:39comment literally about the three meals a day. He meant the type of woman
- 42:43that would cook three meals a day, a woman that wants to be a
- 42:45wife and a mother and shares his values of family and faith. He likes
- 42:50traditional gender roles. Many people do, they just aren't on TV. Olivia
- 42:53isn't wrong at all for what she believes and wants and not wanting that.
- 42:58Ethan isn't wrong for wanting that either. They just want different things. Olivia
- 43:01wanted those things when they got married, now she doesn't. It's okay.
- 43:06I don't understand why Ethan wanting to a stay at home wife and mother makes
- 43:09him a misogynist or indoctrinated. It's a very common thing in the South.
- 43:14There are women that want that for themselves and they are one hundred percent not
- 43:16oppressed, speaking from experience. Do you want that for yourself? Yeah,
- 43:21you want to be a stay at home I do. And you want to
- 43:22be the crunchy mom who cooks the meals and grows the food and does all
- 43:25the things well. And I do cook all the meals for my wife,
- 43:29and she's not a misogynist. Like and she, you know, has always
- 43:32told me like once she starts making more money and like we can, I
- 43:37can quit my job and be a stay at home wife. Like she expects
- 43:39me to be doing a lot of the housework. And I'm like, yeah,
- 43:42that's fucking fine, because if I don't have to work, then props.
- 43:45That's corl with me. So like, I don't think. I don't
- 43:49know if he was necessarily coming from an inherently misogynistic place. I think he
- 43:54said it pretty poorly because he's fucking dumb and doesn't know how to communicate his
- 44:00wants and needs. And I also want to speak to like the whole aspect
- 44:05of how much Olivia has changed, because I saw a few other comments on
- 44:07Reddit that I thought were interesting, like change is normal in a relationship and
- 44:12in a marriage. Everybody grows, everybody evolves as people, but like our
- 44:15core values and our core personalities don't necessarily change. And I think Olivia changed
- 44:23so much and changed like her whole aspect of herself, partly because I think
- 44:29she doesn't really know who she is. She's trying to figure out herself because
- 44:31she came from such a oppressive, patriarchal religious, strict structure and family life,
- 44:38and so she's really trying to figure out who she is. She's clinging
- 44:42to the complete and utter opposite of what she grew up to, what she
- 44:45grew up to believe and act like, because she thinks that that's how she'll
- 44:50find herself. And that's fine, Like, do whatever you need to do,
- 44:52figure out what you want to believe, be who you want to be
- 44:54that's fine. It's just she doesn't know who she is, so she's completely
- 44:59changed from this person she promised Ethan she would be. And Ethan's like,
- 45:02what the heck? I thought you were like the same person. Now we're
- 45:06like completely different people, like completely different. We can't even find one little
- 45:10tiny speck of common ground, so like, how can we raise a family?
- 45:15And she's triggered by that and whatever, and that's why they're breaking up.
- 45:19And I'm glad for that. So I don't agree with you that people
- 45:22don't fundamentally change their core values because I've lived on this planet for i'm mind
- 45:28my sixth decade or fifth decade. I don't really know how it works,
- 45:30but I'm fifty five years old. Yeah, and I have changed my core
- 45:34values a few times over, whether that's spirituality, whether that's perceptions of myself,
- 45:38whether that's fucking perceptions of society politically, I have changed over and over
- 45:44and over throughout the years. And I think that it's pretty normal for us
- 45:46to do that, and I think life is about that. And so I
- 45:50think, and we cannot discount that Olivia was twenty Yeah, I agree one
- 45:55hundred percent that what she's living now is a reaction to how how she lived
- 46:00before, and so it's like a pendulum swing here. She was living with
- 46:02her family with ten other kids in this very strict patriarchal, hyper religious situation,
- 46:08and the pendulum kind of swang to where it swang, swung to where
- 46:13she got married to Ethan. But she still found herself in much the same
- 46:16kind of a construct and she's moving with the final swing all the way up
- 46:21here. So she's in reaction. I think she's in reaction. I think
- 46:23ultimately she's going to end up like right in the middle, like the pendulum
- 46:27always does, and I think Ethan is going to too. Yeah, And
- 46:30what that means for me is I think when she's thirty thirty five, she's
- 46:32going to look back in this and she's going to see Ethan in a different
- 46:36way and see herself in a different way. I hope so. And I
- 46:38think Ethan is going to be a forty year old man and he's going to
- 46:42look at his twenty four year old self and how he threw away a relationship
- 46:45with someone who had a lot of good raw materials to work with. I
- 46:50am not an Olivia apologist, but she's an intelligent beautiful, thoughtful person who
- 46:55gets it wrong a lot of the times. But try and check with me.
- 46:58When I was twenty to twenty four, I was crazy person. Yeah.
- 47:00Same. I just feel like he's going to look back and he's going
- 47:02to regret the judgments that he's making on this woman that he is supposed to
- 47:07love unconditionally. So when he says you changed, and I changed in reaction
- 47:15to your change, and Olivia's like, people fucking change. Yeah. And
- 47:21furthermore, a marriage should be a place where it's safe to do so.
- 47:24It should be safe for me to explore myself within the confines or the connection
- 47:30of this marriage, and you should support that. I mean, the horseshit
- 47:32I've put my husband through, all of my husbands, by the way,
- 47:36the horseshit of my journey that I put all of my husbands through, and
- 47:39each and every one of them gave me space to do it. So I
- 47:45feel like I feel sad. I cried about it. And in the end,
- 47:50when the producer's like, this sounds really final, and Olivia says,
- 47:55but I still I wish the very best for you, and the way and
- 48:00looks at her, I know, like looking her up and down, and
- 48:02saying I love you very much. I know I felt that I felt that
- 48:07they neither one of them really well. I think Olivia didn't want to be
- 48:10married to him, but I think Ethan especially was like I didn't. I
- 48:14didn't want any of this to happen. I didn't want us to change so
- 48:16drastically that we couldn't even like make a marriage work. And I was thinking
- 48:21about it in the context of my own marriage and getting married young. Everybody
- 48:23fucking told me not to get married young. Everybody's like, don't do it.
- 48:27It's the worst mistake of your life. You're never gonna make it work.
- 48:30It's gonna end up in divorce. Like nobody besides you, guys,
- 48:34really nobody was like in support of us getting married really young. And I
- 48:38guess part of that comes from, like how difficult it is to be married
- 48:42at such a young age, because you have two things you have to do
- 48:45in a marriage, Like you have to grow together as a couple. But
- 48:47then when you're young and you get married, you have to grow up and
- 48:52you have to grow up individually. And that's really fucking hard when you're trying
- 48:54to grow up as a person and try to work on a marriage. Marriage
- 48:59is hard, and so like they're really young, they were really trying to
- 49:01make it work. Their brains fully formed, they're not fully formed at all
- 49:06yet scientifically scientists, they're not fully formed adultists, and so of course they're
- 49:09like making mistakes left and right. And like this was the episode where I
- 49:13actually did start to feel for Olivia a little bit more, because for as
- 49:16much as she has toxic behavior and manipulative tendencies, I think a lot of
- 49:22that comes from her shitty fucking family and her toxic upbringing, and she doesn't
- 49:27really know anything different, and she really needs to spend time on her own
- 49:30and like working on herself and going to therapy with the therapist that'll actually help
- 49:36her deal with all of this shit and the religious trauma of it all,
- 49:38and so she can be better and like have a good, healthy relationship with
- 49:43somebody who loves her the way that she needs to be loved. And I
- 49:45wish the same thing for Ethan. One thing Olivia said that I thought was
- 49:49so poignant was that she was born to two people who held their principles higher
- 49:57than their love for her. Yeah, and then she says, and I
- 50:00don't want to perpetuate that by having kids and doing the same. But what
- 50:01she should have said, And I don't want to be in a marriage with
- 50:05somebody who holds to their principles more than their love for me, Like,
- 50:09I don't want to continue this pattern in my life. Yeah, And that's
- 50:14why you're probably right with Ethan. The whole like divide in their beliefs is
- 50:19probably gay based, because he's talking about like, well, mutual respect for
- 50:23each other's different opinions doesn't negate right or wrong. And these aren't my rules.
- 50:30Their implying that their rules from God or whatever. So I'm just like,
- 50:34okay, Ethan, you got a lot of growing up to do.
- 50:37And if you want to raise your kids to be homophobic and religious or whatever,
- 50:40and like fine, but fine, I mean I can't. We're in
- 50:45America. Like, you have the right to raise your kids the way you
- 50:49want to raise them. It doesn't mean I have to agree with it.
- 50:51I don't give a shit. Just wait until you have a gay kid,
- 50:53though, right, you know. And that's how it always happens with these
- 50:57religious people, Like I know people from my church growing up that have seven
- 51:00thousand kids, and they preach constantly about how homosexuality is wrong and all of
- 51:05this shit. And I'm just like, wait until one of your kids comes
- 51:07out, though, and then what are you gonna do? Send them to
- 51:10conversion camp and traumatize them for life? A lot of them do, yeah,
- 51:14a lot of them do do that. Yeah. I just you know,
- 51:16I just feel like Ethan is moralistic, idealistic, or he's got an
- 51:24ideology around his morals that's just problematic, and it just doesn't allow for the
- 51:31different types of people in the world, the different shades, the different everything,
- 51:35Like it's just stupid. Yeah, it's also so myopic. It's like
- 51:38just you've got blinders on in your little life, your Jesus life, which,
- 51:43by the way, there's a lot of different things that you do that
- 51:45actually aren't in accordance with the tenants of your faith. But that's okay though,
- 51:49right, right, it's just Olivia having compassion and acceptance and tolerance for
- 51:53people who aren't like her, Like we're taking liberties here because we don't know
- 51:57that that's the fundamental issue. But it sure smells like, yeah, Disher,
- 52:00smells like it's around gayness and LGBTQ and probably politics, right because they
- 52:07mentioned politics and society and things. But I'm just like, oh, grow
- 52:10the fuck up. I know. Even then, I'm not entirely sure what
- 52:14Olivia's full stances are on that kind of stuff, because she's still friends with
- 52:19her brother what's his name, Nate, Nate or whatever Streambein, who is
- 52:22very anti LGBTQ, which he removed from his bio recently on his Instagram.
- 52:28Yeah, so I don't know if he's been getting yiah from it or definitely
- 52:30getting and after you. He allowed Olivia to put makeup on you and dress
- 52:36you up with makeup and I don't know if it was a wig or an
- 52:37address or whatever. And I'm just like, what, you'all need some therapy.
- 52:42Y'all need to get yourself together. It's like, yeah, look at
- 52:45the log in your own eye before you start picking out the speck in somebody
- 52:49else's eye. You judge mental fucking assholes, right anyway. So, but
- 52:53they're kids, you know. When I was that age, I was a
- 52:55missionary, honey, which is the most offensive thing here. Talk about values
- 52:59changing. I was a missionary three times. Yeah, going to other people's
- 53:01indigenous lands and trying to convert them to my religion. How audacious? And
- 53:07offensive and I would never presume to do anything like that, but these are
- 53:13kids. Yeah, And when you're a kid and you're converted, there's something
- 53:15different about it. It's like this fire in your belly that you have.
- 53:19For Jesus, you see it with Lydia right now in her closet. Yep,
- 53:22I know how bless in your closet, But like, talk to me
- 53:25when you're thirty and your husband's cheating on you and you've got a bottle of
- 53:29wine every night at five pm, Lydia, right then we can have a
- 53:30conversation about what it means to be alive on the planet. Seriously, these
- 53:36kids acting like they know anything. Y'all know shit yet? I mean,
- 53:38and look at your mama for real, you already know it doesn't stick for
- 53:42real? Watch your mama? Well wow, I just thought it was so
- 53:46good girl. When you compare and contrast Welcome to Platfow with what we saw
- 53:51on Sister Wives this season, including the tell all that we are currently slogging
- 53:55through, I just feel like there were so many more point and important moments.
- 54:01Yes, I enjoyed it, and why family feels more real. It
- 54:06feels like they're not fucking lying to us from the get go from season one,
- 54:09like yeah, they kind of put on an air in season one of
- 54:12like we're this happy family and everything and they have these problems, but like
- 54:16they still haven't really been hiding anything. They're just honest, like saying what
- 54:20it is. Oh, they're hiding stuff. I mean Kim is currently living
- 54:22with Ken Palmer. Yeah, and Kim got a DUI and there are things
- 54:25that are being hid in faux show. Well, maybe we'll see that next
- 54:29season because maybe it'll be like a Sister Wives type of thing where we're going
- 54:31to be delayed on the information. Who knows, I don't know. It'd
- 54:35be nice if we could see the d d I would love. I would
- 54:37love. Yeah, that's DWI stuff should have been handled in this season.
- 54:40So the fact that they didn't means that they're hiding it from us and it
- 54:45is what it is. But if they come back, I would love to
- 54:46see Ethan courting another woman. I would love to see mike A courting.
- 54:50I would love to see Lydia's boyfriend. I would love to see Barry going
- 54:52out on the tinder or something wiping this way and that way. Farmer's only
- 54:57Yes, Farmers only dot Com. Get you a far arm girl. I
- 55:00need to take care of Allah. We love that for you, Berry.
- 55:04Yes, this was really good, but now it is time to lighten the
- 55:07mood. Yes, with a conversation about ninety day fiance bitch. Sure,
- 55:12and so without further ado, let's take a little break, keeping the lights
- 55:15on, running some ads. We'll be back on the other side to get
- 55:17into it. Okay, let's get into Nandy day fiance girl. This episode
- 55:25was long. We were always long, I know, but I was watching
- 55:30this and I'm like, damn, is this episode longer than all the rest?
- 55:34It just felt like so long. But it was good. It's a
- 55:37slow increment of time. Yeah, that's why you have to do other things
- 55:40around the house. Is you watch it? Yeah? I totally. I
- 55:44watched it twice and I feel like I was doing shit both times. You
- 55:46run the risk of missing something though, I know. But we start this
- 55:51week's episode with Nicki and just An Eger and they are at a romantic getaway
- 55:58together because Eagle wants to fuck her and make her happy, okay, and
- 56:04so he says if she behaves, maybe I can give her the d The
- 56:07second time, does he want to fuck her or is he making herself,
- 56:12making himself suck her in the middle of the night, when he's halfway dreaming
- 56:16and halfway in the real world and pretending it's not happening. You know,
- 56:20That's what I'm like thinking it is, And that's why she's picking up on
- 56:22it, because you know, he does end up sucking her on this trip,
- 56:27but it's in three am, and it's not on her timetable, it's
- 56:30on his timetable, and so therefore she's mad. The lights her off.
- 56:32Yeah, it's under the blankets. Is that a bad thing? It's not,
- 56:37but if you're But I can see her point, like, I want
- 56:39to have freaky, deeky sex. I want to have a full union with
- 56:43mommy, and I want you to be waking me up in the middle of
- 56:45the night in the dark and putting it in. I want to have an
- 56:47experience with you. It just feels like to me, he's avoiding that closeness
- 56:52because yeah, he can't get there, No, and I don't think he
- 56:55can. But I just think her nagging about sex every fucking minute, every
- 57:00single conversation. It always ends up backed at sex. It's always back at
- 57:07It's really unattractive girl, like you have to have some more self worths that's
- 57:12not defined by sex. Like if you define your relationship and your love by
- 57:17sex, that's like so unhealthy. I mean, furthermore, is there anything
- 57:21else that you know how to talk about? Like do you have a job
- 57:23or a career? Do you have a passion? Is there a book that
- 57:25you're treating that you want to what are your dreams and aspirations? Are you
- 57:30as a human being? It's not just your genitalia for real, That's that's
- 57:34all she has. And I'm sorry, but I'm not interested. And I
- 57:37don't think Igor is interested either. No, I don't think so at all.
- 57:40And then they go to some bakery or whatever and they make something called
- 57:44placenta. I don't know. I didn't catch that. I must have been
- 57:47doing the foundry. I saw it. I paid attention. Is that the
- 57:51bread thing they were pulling apart looked really delivered? No, but it's called
- 57:52placenta. I know, all right, Well you're supposed to each placenta after
- 57:57you give birth. I do know that, Yes, And she again brings
- 58:00up like the whole sex thing, and he's just like, well, I'm
- 58:04trying, like, aren't you happy about it, and she's like, no,
- 58:07she's never happy. She's never happy. And then they go to wine
- 58:09tasting and they get Hella fucking wasted in front of this guy who takes his
- 58:15job way too seriously at the space. Oh my god, they were plastered.
- 58:21I know it looked fun. I mean, yeah, looked great.
- 58:22She was still talking about sex the entire time, the entire time, and
- 58:24her pussy lips and everything. I'm like, girl, the pussy lips are
- 58:29coming into the conversation. You've gone too far and you've lost everybody. Yes,
- 58:34because I understand a lot of us have them. Yeah, but I
- 58:36don't want to hear about that. No, I don't want to hear about
- 58:37the color of them. I don't want to hear about anything. And she's
- 58:42like, Megan out with him in front of this poor guys. I'm like,
- 58:45that is so crazy. It's abusive to me. Your public display of
- 58:49affection is abusive to me. I know, it's hella fucking cringe. And
- 58:53then they go and have sex that night or whatever, and it's fine,
- 58:58I guess, but Nicky still complaining about it because it's never good enough,
- 59:01it's never on her timetable, it's never in the frequency that she wants it.
- 59:05He doesn't go down on her. It's like all of these issues.
- 59:07So she's like, do you want to just be friends then, because I
- 59:09don't fuck my friends. And then Iger's like, well we kind of are
- 59:13though, like friends with benefits kind of well, and he's like, in
- 59:15Moldova, that's the thing we have it. We have a situation where you
- 59:20can fuck your friends and it's really great. I love that for us scandal
- 59:24Atova. And he's like, so are you telling me that this is something
- 59:29you've done and he's like, yeah, of course totally. And she's like,
- 59:31well, but when have you done it when we're together? And he's
- 59:35like, no, no, no, not since we're engaged. Yeah.
- 59:37So she's like so since August. It's well, we didn't. We applied
- 59:40for the visa in June, though, So are you telling me you've been
- 59:44out in these raccoon streets just banging the backs out of all these Moldovan women
- 59:47And he's like, yeah, it's better than masturbating. I couldn't believe he
- 59:52said that. Oh wow, bitch vibes is coming, dude. His one
- 59:55liners are so great, better than masturbation. I'm like, I mean,
- 1:00:00that's true, but it's not loyal. No, it's not faithful. And
- 1:00:05if you don't have that agreement in your relationship, then it's cheating. And
- 1:00:07if you're Nikki who's fixated entirely on sex and you hear that this man that
- 1:00:13you're in love with is banging the backside of other bitches, yet, you're
- 1:00:16gonna feel terrible about yourself. And immediately she spins out into reaction about it.
- 1:00:21Oh one percent. She immediately starts questioning their entire relationship and even if
- 1:00:24it's worth keeping. At this point, I'm like, oh my god,
- 1:00:29why is he in this? Why is he in this relationship? I don't
- 1:00:31think he actually loves her. I know he's introducing her to his family,
- 1:00:36which like would indicate that he loves her and his friend. But he doesn't
- 1:00:38want to touch her, He doesn't want to have sex with her. He
- 1:00:42doesn't like her energy like it didn't he also say masculine or man vibe.
- 1:00:45He literally said that she gives off man vibes and that's why he gets turned
- 1:00:49off. Oh mutching. What's in it for him? Is it money?
- 1:00:57Does she give him a lot of money? Like, what's the finance situation
- 1:01:00Like well, I mean, he says that she's the one that he wants
- 1:01:02to be with, and he told his friends that she's a sex machine and
- 1:01:06that he loves her. It's I think he can't get past the mental part
- 1:01:09of it because they had a whole ass two year long relationship together before she
- 1:01:15even came out as trans. And then she told him after they had already
- 1:01:19been intimate to this Eastern European guy with who believes in traditional gender roles and
- 1:01:24like arguably probably conservative, and she just completely like turned his whole world upside
- 1:01:30down. So I really think he's like struggling with that. It's just like,
- 1:01:34why are you even trying to still be with her? Then it's the
- 1:01:37money. I want to know more about the coins. I think it's the
- 1:01:38coins. She's a clout goblin. There's a bunch of things that are coming
- 1:01:43around online, Like she has been on TV for many many years, different
- 1:01:46shows, Oh yeah, like that a lot of them. Like she was
- 1:01:51on like My Trans Life, and I think she's like on Mary and then
- 1:01:53she was on a bunch of other like reality shows. I think she was
- 1:01:55on Botched. So like she's been on TV a lot, so Okay,
- 1:02:00this whole storyline could also just be totally scripted. Okay, yeah, but
- 1:02:06they're cringe. Then we get to Robin Sophie the bisexual storyline. Oh my
- 1:02:13god, cringe. I saw on Reddit some people asking like, why does
- 1:02:16she feel the need to even tell him that she's bisexual because it doesn't really
- 1:02:22matter they're in a monogamous relationship. But to that, I say, that
- 1:02:24is her identity and she should be able to fully share her identity with the
- 1:02:29person that she is with. And again, he needs to be making some
- 1:02:31space for who it is that she is. But of course we're talking about
- 1:02:36rob who's chromagnean man og make fire. He's not going to hear it that
- 1:02:39way. No, he doesn't understand the nuances of sexuality, Beatriz. Dude,
- 1:02:44He's one percent going to react like the typical straight guy that's like,
- 1:02:49well, are you gonna leave me for a woman? Or like what can
- 1:02:51a woman do that I can't do with my dick and my balls? Like
- 1:02:55he's gonna be like triggered by it. I feel like, well, I
- 1:02:58asked my husband what he would do if I told him that I was bisexual,
- 1:03:04and he's like, you're figuring this out at fifty five years old.
- 1:03:07I'm like, first of all, fuck you rude, But then he's like,
- 1:03:12I don't care, and I'm like, well, if you told me
- 1:03:15you were bisexual, I'm just being honest here, Okay and I have an
- 1:03:16actual conversation about if you told me you were bisexual. My first thought would
- 1:03:21be, okay, is that something you're going to want to explore? Is
- 1:03:24that something that's going to impact the relationship that we have? So I think
- 1:03:29it is entirely fair that Rob would wonder, well, what does that mean
- 1:03:32for this relationship? I think he's much more likely, though, to default
- 1:03:37to, well can I get it? Can I get some of that?
- 1:03:38Because my husband actually said, if you had told me that in the first
- 1:03:43month or two of our relationship, I'd have been like, well can I
- 1:03:45join? Really you would have been they would have considered that, Oh my
- 1:03:50god, scandal some time right now? Then we went to bed early.
- 1:03:55Stop girls, it's scandalizing. You don't think I bang my husband. I
- 1:04:08just don't want to think about it. What do you think this leg's going
- 1:04:12due to that? Baby? I know how to live my leg, Like
- 1:04:17this is how they do. They talk to us all day every day like
- 1:04:20this is a tame compared to off camera. I'm just saying, I mean,
- 1:04:26have you seen him. He's a handsome hand, he has money,
- 1:04:30he's younger than me by a damn side, and so I got some time
- 1:04:34with that man. I take it. Our podcast listeners don't see that.
- 1:04:43My leg is up in the air. Not high because I'm old, but
- 1:04:45it is getting up there. I still do what I want to do.
- 1:04:47Anyway, back to Robin, Anyway, back to them, well before the
- 1:04:50whole bisexual conversation that leaves off on a fucking cliffhanger because nobody cares. Literally
- 1:04:57every woman is bisexual a little bit. I don't to be rude. Is
- 1:05:00that rude? I know, I don't think so. If y'all are rude,
- 1:05:03like triggered by that, then go away. It's not the dumpster for
- 1:05:06you. Even Olivia Plath watches porn, dude, watch her have a bisexual
- 1:05:14phase after this, Oh gosh, I wish I had had a full bisexual
- 1:05:16phase. Yeah, you missed out. I was sold out in radical for
- 1:05:19Jesus though I couldn't have done it, but I wouldn't. I wouldn't want
- 1:05:23to do it. I would just want to get it done. Yeah,
- 1:05:25you're a pillow princess. Yeah yeah I would. God, it wasn't as
- 1:05:30acceptable back there beaddressed. I know, I couldn't have just lifted the leg
- 1:05:33for that. I would have thought about it though. Sorry, go on,
- 1:05:41Oh my god. Well, before all of this, they went bowling
- 1:05:44with Rob's brows. Well, the only thing that was interesting was that to
- 1:05:48Rye immediately jumps into like getting mad at Sophie. He's like, why are
- 1:05:53you looking through my bro's phone? Why don't you trust you? You're not
- 1:05:57in this relationship. I don't even know you, and you're yellow jacket and
- 1:06:00sure real, And Sophie's like, did he even tell you the full story?
- 1:06:03Though? He was snapchatting some hoes and he was asking for Nudi picks
- 1:06:09and he was sending them back, sending those nudie pics. And then the
- 1:06:13bros I loved that. They just like immediately turned on Rob after this.
- 1:06:15They're like, dude, you didn't tell us this shit. What are you
- 1:06:18talking about? And Rob's like, well, what did I have to tell
- 1:06:20you all the details? Because you're sharing that part where she's bad and going
- 1:06:25into your phone and invading your privacy but you're not sharing the impetus for the
- 1:06:29reason why, because you did this to her before. Yeah, and because
- 1:06:31you ain't shit. Yes, Rob's a piece of shit. Something about his
- 1:06:36face that just rubs me the wrong way. The way he looks tick.
- 1:06:40Not not the way he looks, but the way he looks with his eyes,
- 1:06:42Yes, the way he looks at the world. It's like condescenditary.
- 1:06:45Is there's something about him? Yeah? Yeah? And leuh tie in to
- 1:06:47Rye say it's big Leo energy, which I was very offended by as a
- 1:06:51Leo because you object, but it's true something Leo's can be very big douchebag
- 1:06:57energy is ego maniac douche bad vibes is coming. Yep. So we'll see
- 1:07:01next episode the end of the whole bisexual conversation here, I'm anticipating that is
- 1:07:08going to be mad about it. Then we get to a new couple,
- 1:07:11Sam and Citra. Listen, I have named him Johnny MESSI c Johnny.
- 1:07:20Do you know who Johnny Appleseed is? Yes, I mean it's just this
- 1:07:23archetype of like you know, this all American boy. Yeah. He he
- 1:07:30wasn't on nes though he was, well was he? Yeah? Did he
- 1:07:32say that yes, he was addicted. Well, I mean, isn't ADHD
- 1:07:36pills and adderall? Isn't that a type of meth? Yeah, but he
- 1:07:40said specifically opiates. I don't know. I just I'm I'm cringing for this
- 1:07:45poor girl from Indonesia with her policia father who's never how go on, Well,
- 1:07:50I'm like, he's thirty years old and he sleeps in his car because
- 1:07:55he has two jobs, which is fine, Like, you're hard working man,
- 1:07:58that's great, you work for Amazon and you're doing your thing, But
- 1:08:00why are you sleeping in your car? And why are you bringing some girl
- 1:08:04over from Indonesia? Like does he have a house? Well, it sounds
- 1:08:08like he has a home and he's only sleeping in his car because it would
- 1:08:11be too long of a commute to go all the way back to his home
- 1:08:14and then go out again to do his second job. So he sleeps in
- 1:08:15his car, which is code for me that he's homeless. Yeah, that's
- 1:08:18why I was thinking too, I'm homeless. He's literally showering at the gas
- 1:08:23station. So I'm just like, so is he going to bring this beautiful
- 1:08:26woman from Indonesia to I don't know where? They are in America and Hai
- 1:08:30surry and have her live in his car with him. That's her Dad's gonna
- 1:08:35love that dude. And she's a devout Muslim and she expects Sam to convert
- 1:08:43for her so that they can get married, because otherwise there will be no
- 1:08:45marriage and there will be no pussy without him converting to Islam. But he's
- 1:08:49an atheist and his father is into aliens, which I love, I know.
- 1:08:57I'm like, oh my God, tell me more of mo. Would
- 1:08:59you believe? I believe aliens name too? Of course they exist, you
- 1:09:03think. So do you think they're visiting our planet right now? And they've
- 1:09:06been visiting girls since Roswell? Oh my gosh. Okay, So I want
- 1:09:10to hear more about the dad. I know that's the most interesting thing to
- 1:09:14the storyline. Yeah, Like, I really don't care about the rest of
- 1:09:15their relationship. They haven't had sex yet because she's a good Muslim girl.
- 1:09:19But then she gets on the phone and is like, yeah, so when
- 1:09:21I get there, we have to get married in two weeks according to my
- 1:09:26dad's rules. And I'm like, oh God, he does not want us
- 1:09:29sin and honey, what a mess. Then we get to Devin and Nick.
- 1:09:33Girl, bitch this peace Beatrice. Shit Beatrice. I lost my fucking
- 1:09:42shit, I know watching that scene. Oh my god, Catfish, I'm
- 1:09:47sorry, go on, No, like that's all it was. I mean
- 1:09:49they toured Circe, Arkansas, the lovely, bustling city of Circe. You're
- 1:09:57commemorating somebody who was advocating for slave oh right, okay, And Devon's like
- 1:10:01yeah, but it's okay, like whatever. And then they get to a
- 1:10:04store that says like White County or whatever, and Nick is like, is
- 1:10:10that about race? And she's like, no, it's just the county that
- 1:10:12we're in. Oh my, well, it's like in Texas, in North
- 1:10:15Texas, it's like White Settlement. Yeah. When I got here a few
- 1:10:18years ago, I'm like, are we for real right now? This town
- 1:10:21is called White Settlement. We're on the south maybe right? Oh my god.
- 1:10:27So obviously Nick feels completely out of place. I don't know what the
- 1:10:30fuck you were expecting when you came to Arkansas. He's driving through as they
- 1:10:33come home from the airport, and he's like, this is not the America
- 1:10:36I imagined. Okay, Like, I'm sorry, but America is a huge
- 1:10:40country. And most of America is like this, which is what Devin tells
- 1:10:44him. Yes, But then they get to the catfish fry at Devon's parents'
- 1:10:47house with their family, and they all seem very nice, very nice,
- 1:10:50and they're like just asking him questions. And then I think it was Devon's
- 1:10:55aunt that asks him, like, what do you think about Americans? And
- 1:10:58he's like, you know, fat people and greasy food. And then they
- 1:11:01start talking about fast food, and Devon's like, well, unhealthy food and
- 1:11:05fast food is usually cheaper, so that's why most people go for it.
- 1:11:10Devon's dad is like, yeah, and some people are just lazy because they
- 1:11:12don't want to have to cook or whatever, like Olivia Blath, who doesn't
- 1:11:15I want to cook a meal? You know, they just want to get
- 1:11:17some fast food. And then Nick says, oh, so that's why you're
- 1:11:21a piggy then, and because you're lazy and you get fast food and grabs
- 1:11:26Devin's belly. Do you know that my husband did that to me this morning
- 1:11:30when I was getting coffee. He called you a pick he said, piggy,
- 1:11:31and he grabbed my belly. I'm like, oh, listen, First
- 1:11:33of all, no, absolutely not. Second of all, lower grab my
- 1:11:41fat cat instead. This is a little South to the fat cat, honey.
- 1:11:45But he was appalled, He has appalled that anybody would do that.
- 1:11:47And personally, this is not cultural. This is purely about disrespect. Yeah,
- 1:11:54and maybe this is a power play. Maybe it's a kind of Korean
- 1:11:57nagging where he's perpetually making her feel insecure about her body based on his idea
- 1:12:02of what the standard is and he's just gonna continue to do it. And
- 1:12:04he doesn't give a shit that it offends her because she's told him outright,
- 1:12:09please don't, and he's still doing it. And now you're doing it in
- 1:12:11front of her daddy. I can't believe that he did that in front of
- 1:12:15her family. And the dad's like, I'm gonna have to have a fucking
- 1:12:17talk. Yes you are, mister Devin. In the fucking preview, he's
- 1:12:23like, so why are you calling my daughter piggy? And Nick laughs in
- 1:12:28front of his dad. Could you imagine if I said some shit like that
- 1:12:32about your daughter and then I said that in front of your husband, he'd
- 1:12:35be like, get the fuck out of me. If you said that in
- 1:12:38front of me, we would be having a very heartfelt conversation. I'd be
- 1:12:42telling you to fucking get it for yourself, bitch, That's what I'd be
- 1:12:45saying. I'd be very upset about it. Yes, and then if you
- 1:12:48laughed at me, I would kick you out of my house or I would
- 1:12:50consel my daughter. She'd get rid of you because you fucking suff That is
- 1:12:55what I would do. But he laughs, Wow, unbelievable, dude.
- 1:13:00I don't know how she's like dealing with him. I'm like, Devin,
- 1:13:01you're a pretty girl, like you're a nice girl. She doesn't see her
- 1:13:04she does. There's no way that she has appropriate self worth if she's allowing
- 1:13:10some douchebag to talk to her like that. I know. It's so fucking
- 1:13:14sad. So we'll see what happens next episode. And then last but not
- 1:13:17least, we have Menuel and Ashley who are just kind of annoying. I'm
- 1:13:20tired of them. They're like fighting about everything. It's the wedding now.
- 1:13:25He doesn't want her to pay that money to go down to Florida to have
- 1:13:29the wedding of her dreams. They've kind of loved someone like this who okay,
- 1:13:33and I'm willing to get myself into debt so that I can marry this
- 1:13:36guy who doesn't actually love me. No, and he's the only voice of
- 1:13:40reason here. He's like, do we really need to do all that?
- 1:13:43We really need to spend all that money, And she's like, well,
- 1:13:45yeah, I don't want to have to compromise on that because I'm a princess
- 1:13:47and I've been dreaming about it all of my life and making it up.
- 1:13:49She didn't say that, but pretty much the same kind of crap women tend
- 1:13:53to say. Yeah. But then eventually they go to Lake, Ontario and
- 1:13:56they have a talk where she actually listens to him, and he like,
- 1:14:00look, I just have been the only soul provider for my family since I
- 1:14:03was thirteen. You don't know what it's fucking like because you're in America and
- 1:14:09I just want to provide for my family, Like I feel obligated to provide
- 1:14:12for my family, and I can't work right now to do that. And
- 1:14:15so then they come to a compromise. She's going to send one hundred dollars
- 1:14:17to his family, and then after the wedding then she'll start sending more money.
- 1:14:21Right and the end, when does he get to get a job.
- 1:14:25I don't know. I think it's after the visa, like once it gets
- 1:14:28approved, because then they have to apply he has to apply for like his
- 1:14:30green card or whatever it has to get his green card. I did think
- 1:14:33him rolling around in the water and feeling super connected and like he was back
- 1:14:38home, Yeah, in the tropics. I thought that was really sweet.
- 1:14:41You know, he's homesick and it was something that connected him to his homeland.
- 1:14:45But yeah, I'm bored of them, I know, deeply bored of
- 1:14:47them. Super boring. Yeah, and then we get to the preview Geno
- 1:14:50and Jasmine or like in Florida side things. I know, like where are
- 1:14:56you? They're in Florida because she's got to get some sun energy. And
- 1:14:59then and then she takes off her clothes at the airport. Yeah, strips,
- 1:15:03strips down because she's feeling the sun. She's got a whibsorb all the
- 1:15:08sunshine she gets. I mean that's fair. If I was living in Michigan
- 1:15:11with overcast skies twenty four to seven, I'd be like, please, you
- 1:15:14need the sun. Please. That's about where we're going to be moving,
- 1:15:16so you better get used to it. Hone. Yeah, well maybe it'll
- 1:15:18be sunny or it'll be fine, all right, I'll be okay. And
- 1:15:23then Clayton and Auntily are feeding goats. I don't care, so bored.
- 1:15:27Citra flies to Missouri to be with Sam. Devin's dad confronts Nick on the
- 1:15:31fat shaming, and then Nikki is questioning her relationship with Igor. Okay,
- 1:15:35that's it. I look forward to it. I know I am relatively entertained
- 1:15:40by ninety day fiance. Me too. I heard the other way as a
- 1:15:42train wreck. And there's like no likable characters. That's the one with the
- 1:15:45psychic and the Indian family, right, yes, and Danielle and Johan,
- 1:15:47that's right. And I think Jenny and Sameat made an appearance at the tel
- 1:15:53all really, and Kimberly called Jenny a cunt. Yeah you didn't see that,
- 1:15:58a little reddit no idea. She called Jenny akun and Jenny said,
- 1:16:01don't you come back. Don't you come back to India. You stay in
- 1:16:03America. We don't want you here. I don't know, it's crazy,
- 1:16:08crazy, Oh my god. We should have covered the other way. I
- 1:16:12know. Chicaina and Surper are just like straight up cloud goblins, like nobody
- 1:16:15cares about them, but they're interesting over there. Somewhat. Well, this
- 1:16:19was very, very fun. Yeah, some good conversations around Welcome to Platsville
- 1:16:24and also ninety Day Fiance. We will be back next week to discuss sister
- 1:16:29wives because we still have more tail alls, Toney, I think we have
- 1:16:30two more tail alls and we have four more specials and Christine getting married.
- 1:16:33Oh my god, store raccoons are busy. Yeah, but until then,
- 1:16:39is there anything else that we need to say to these beautiful records. Well,
- 1:16:43if you love our podcast, I sure hope that you give us a
- 1:16:45glowing five star review on your favorite podcast platform. It really helps us grow.
- 1:16:49Thank you so much, and until next time, don't forget that we
- 1:16:51love you and Bine
