- 0:16Speaker 1: All right, guys, we're going to do a quick Stranger
- 0:19Speaker 1: Thing season five episode. I'm not gonna lie. I didn't
- 0:22Speaker 1: really want to do a Stranger Things season five episodes,
- 0:26Speaker 1: but here we are, because I feel like I might
- 0:27Speaker 1: as well talk about it a little bit, even though
- 0:30Speaker 1: I feel like it's kind of late. Everything's been said
- 0:33Speaker 1: that can be said about Stranger Things five already. There's
- 0:37Speaker 1: been people are too quick to put out their goddamn
- 0:40Speaker 1: reaction videos. I'm not that. I'm not that quick. I
- 0:46Speaker 1: watched it whenever it came out. What was that on
- 0:50Speaker 1: New Year's a couple of weeks ago now, and you know,
- 0:54Speaker 1: I had my thoughts and opinions about it. It kind
- 0:57Speaker 1: of since it was split up, though I watched. I
- 1:01Speaker 1: watched the first two halves when they were out, and
- 1:04Speaker 1: then I waited and watched the finale on its own.
- 1:08Speaker 1: And I'm not gonna lie. Leading up to the finale,
- 1:12Speaker 1: I was not expecting much. It was the first two
- 1:15Speaker 1: halves I thought were kind of bullshit for the most part.
- 1:19Speaker 1: At the same time, I'm gonna just go I feel
- 1:22Speaker 1: like I need to start by saying that I think
- 1:25Speaker 1: people were their expectations were way too high. For the show.
- 1:31Speaker 1: I feel like by season three, I was already feeling like,
- 1:35Speaker 1: this is the direction the show's going in. It's playing
- 1:37Speaker 1: it safe. It's kind of tucking us in for bed
- 1:40Speaker 1: at this point, nothing that crazy is gonna happen from
- 1:43Speaker 1: here on out. And that's kind of the way it went,
- 1:46Speaker 1: you know what I mean. There could have been some
- 1:48Speaker 1: curveballs obviously that would have maybe like brought things back
- 1:52Speaker 1: closer to like season one or two, when things kind
- 1:55Speaker 1: of felt a little darker and there was more mystery
- 1:58Speaker 1: involved in what was actually going on. But by the
- 2:01Speaker 1: time we were getting into like three, four and five,
- 2:05Speaker 1: it felt like we were on a safe journey to
- 2:08Speaker 1: end this thing, you know what I'm saying. I would
- 2:13Speaker 1: have been shocked if season five would have had like
- 2:16Speaker 1: main characters dying or really any kind of big surprises.
- 2:21Speaker 1: At this point, I felt like, although I'll say like
- 2:25Speaker 1: I thought season four was alright, I thought it was
- 2:27Speaker 1: pretty good. It kind of showed us that, like, if
- 2:31Speaker 1: they're not gonna kill Max at the end of season's four,
- 2:34Speaker 1: season four, they're not killing anybody. They're done with that shit.
- 2:40Speaker 1: And then I was thinking maybe in the first two
- 2:42Speaker 1: sections of season five, maybe that could be a time
- 2:45Speaker 1: whenever they raised the stakes and you know, maybe a
- 2:49Speaker 1: main character gets killed or something like that. Like early on,
- 2:52Speaker 1: I was kind of thinking, like, really shock everyone by
- 2:55Speaker 1: doing something crazy, maybe having like I don't know, Hopper
- 2:59Speaker 1: or die or something like that, or Steve or who
- 3:03Speaker 1: the fuck knows. But I was thinking like, maybe if
- 3:05Speaker 1: they're gonna do it, they'll do it at the beginning
- 3:07Speaker 1: to really let us know they're meaning business. But by
- 3:09Speaker 1: the time those two were done and everybody was still
- 3:11Speaker 1: around and things were cruising right along the way they
- 3:14Speaker 1: had been, I was like, nobody's dying in the finale.
- 3:17Speaker 1: That's just how it's gonna be. And at that point
- 3:19Speaker 1: when we got to the finale, I was actually starting
- 3:22Speaker 1: to think it would feel kind of stupid for them
- 3:24Speaker 1: to kill somebody off at this point anyway, you know
- 3:27Speaker 1: what I mean, They've they've been rolling playing it safe
- 3:30Speaker 1: for you know, three seasons now, just keep it going.
- 3:33Speaker 1: And maybe even though I'm trying to think, was there
- 3:35Speaker 1: any like big deaths in the whole show that were
- 3:39Speaker 1: that impactful? I feel like the only ones that I
- 3:41Speaker 1: can think of were maybe like Barb and Billy were
- 3:44Speaker 1: the two right where people had some like connection to him,
- 3:48Speaker 1: even though Billy was kind of like a bad guy,
- 3:50Speaker 1: wasn't he like his mind being taken over by the
- 3:53Speaker 1: mind Flair or by Vecna or whatever the fuck was
- 3:58Speaker 1: going on? See, I feel like overall the show is
- 4:01Speaker 1: pretty simple, and I think there were I mean, I
- 4:04Speaker 1: was seeing some crazy theories out there and some crazy
- 4:07Speaker 1: like ideas that fans were having about this show, like
- 4:10Speaker 1: it was going to be this super deep experience that
- 4:14Speaker 1: we were going to get here, or like, you know,
- 4:16Speaker 1: some giant reveal that was going to blow us away
- 4:20Speaker 1: with some sort of like super universe type of shit
- 4:24Speaker 1: where like all these deep connections from all the seasons
- 4:27Speaker 1: are actually going to end up being this crazy reveal
- 4:30Speaker 1: at the end, And it just wasn't that. And I
- 4:32Speaker 1: felt like the show never was that, you know what
- 4:34Speaker 1: I mean, maybe like in the first season it kind
- 4:36Speaker 1: of felt that way where it's like, damn, what the
- 4:38Speaker 1: fuck's going on? There's like this interdimensional like deep like
- 4:43Speaker 1: I don't know, is it a fucking demon, is it
- 4:45Speaker 1: a ghost or whatever that's kidnapped this little kid and
- 4:47Speaker 1: it's taken over his mind and his bowl cut and
- 4:51Speaker 1: his sexuality. Just kidding but yeah, so I felt like
- 4:58Speaker 1: at the beginning they kind of had the opportunity to
- 5:01Speaker 1: go in that direction, and they just kind of chose
- 5:03Speaker 1: not to. They chose to go like the more I
- 5:05Speaker 1: would say, like the more Marvel route, where it's just
- 5:08Speaker 1: strictly entertainment. You got the you got a great cast,
- 5:12Speaker 1: a great group of characters, like the way they're written
- 5:15Speaker 1: and everything like that. I feel like everybody, you know,
- 5:18Speaker 1: they all serve their purpose to all of their part,
- 5:20Speaker 1: and you know, you get a little less of that
- 5:22Speaker 1: that as the seasons go on, I guess. I guess
- 5:26Speaker 1: that was like maybe my first complaint about season five
- 5:30Speaker 1: was just the not so much the amount of characters,
- 5:33Speaker 1: but the characters they chose to focus on. Like it
- 5:35Speaker 1: seemed like we were just watching fucking Robin and Holly
- 5:39Speaker 1: and shit the whole time, and I was kind of like,
- 5:41Speaker 1: all right, fuck this, Like I want to see I
- 5:49Speaker 1: want to see what these other motherfuckers are up to.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I want to know what, Like what was Joyce doing
- 5:53Speaker 1: that whole time? She's just kind of like lingering around
- 5:55Speaker 1: in the back and shit eleven is just kind of
- 5:59Speaker 1: like training, I guess, which was also really confusing because
- 6:02Speaker 1: it kind of went back and forth. I feel like
- 6:04Speaker 1: they just kind of like, did you know, plot armored
- 6:07Speaker 1: her whole story in season five because it's like is
- 6:11Speaker 1: she weak or is she strong? Sometimes she's like stronger
- 6:14Speaker 1: than she's ever been, and then other times she's like,
- 6:16Speaker 1: I can't jump over a fucking bus right now. But
- 6:22Speaker 1: in season one she's like flipping a fucking bus over
- 6:25Speaker 1: her head like it's no big deal, and like blowing
- 6:27Speaker 1: up fucking goddamn what airplanes or whatever. I don't know
- 6:33Speaker 1: what she didn't. I can't remember. I need to rewatch
- 6:35Speaker 1: the whole fucking thing, which I probably won't do anytime
- 6:39Speaker 1: too soon, but I don't know. Maybe maybe for some
- 6:41Speaker 1: bonus episodes we'll rewatch the whole series. We'll see about that.
- 6:50Speaker 1: So anyway, I guess with the characters, that was kind
- 6:55Speaker 1: of like my only complaint. I think I thought the
- 6:57Speaker 1: characters were still fun and everything like that. I just
- 6:59Speaker 1: was kind of a little confused, like why aren't we
- 7:02Speaker 1: why aren't we seeing more of like you know, I
- 7:05Speaker 1: don't know, well, I guess we saw a decent amount
- 7:07Speaker 1: of will, but like, what about Mike and Shit? I
- 7:10Speaker 1: feel like Mike and Eleven were kind of like the
- 7:11Speaker 1: two main ones, and then you had Hopper and Joyce
- 7:14Speaker 1: and I don't know, it just kind of felt like
- 7:16Speaker 1: they were sitting on the back burner. And I think
- 7:18Speaker 1: that's kind of where you can have a big cast
- 7:20Speaker 1: like this, you just got to know like who to
- 7:23Speaker 1: focus on, and maybe that was something that could have
- 7:26Speaker 1: been worked out a little better. There was one thing
- 7:31Speaker 1: in season five that I haven't heard people talk about yet,
- 7:34Speaker 1: and this was something that I was just expecting that
- 7:37Speaker 1: they didn't do. And it's not like a crazy theory
- 7:40Speaker 1: or anything like that. It was just one of those
- 7:42Speaker 1: things where like, so when they're in the upside down
- 7:45Speaker 1: and doing all that shit, basically like the military has
- 7:49Speaker 1: these fucking sound guns or something that completely like I
- 7:55Speaker 1: guess just basically like paralyze eleven and her friend I
- 7:59Speaker 1: can't thinking of her friend's name, like Kalie or whatever. Uh,
- 8:03Speaker 1: she also has powers, but basically the military has these
- 8:09Speaker 1: fucking sound guns that can stop them or like hurt them,
- 8:12Speaker 1: and they they're not allowed to use their powers when
- 8:14Speaker 1: they're getting sprayed with this military sound waves. So I
- 8:19Speaker 1: was thinking this whole time, Okay, like Hopper and these
- 8:22Speaker 1: motherfuckers that are doing like the recon shit all the time.
- 8:27Speaker 1: They know that these gun, these sound guns stop Eleven's powers.
- 8:31Speaker 1: So I was thinking, when they go to battle Vekna
- 8:34Speaker 1: at the end, who has basically the same powers that
- 8:36Speaker 1: Eleven has, except he's like a tree monster or something too.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I'm not even sure why, but he is a tree monster.
- 8:44Speaker 1: He's basically grew or is it grew or grew from
- 8:50Speaker 1: Guardians of the Galaxy is essentially evil grew is it
- 8:54Speaker 1: grew or grew? Grew is the guy from Despicable Me.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Groot is the guy from Guardians of the Galaxy, Right,
- 9:07Speaker 1: So anyway, I was thinking they were going to you know,
- 9:10Speaker 1: they've been fucking up the military this whole time, and shit,
- 9:14Speaker 1: why don't they steal those sound guns and use them
- 9:16Speaker 1: against Vecna in their final battle? And I thought that's
- 9:18Speaker 1: how they were gonna like weaken him and trap him
- 9:21Speaker 1: long enough to actually kill him. But then again, there's
- 9:25Speaker 1: so you know, what was going on with Vecna in
- 9:28Speaker 1: this season. He kind of had the same thing going
- 9:30Speaker 1: on to Eleven did, where it's like is he strong
- 9:32Speaker 1: or not? Like can he beat up children or can
- 9:35Speaker 1: or not? Like he can't even kidnap these fucking kids
- 9:38Speaker 1: without like having the hardest time of his life. But
- 9:41Speaker 1: anytime he wants, he just goes back into the into
- 9:44Speaker 1: Earth realm or whatever, Like he's a goddamn Mortal Kombat
- 9:47Speaker 1: character and he just fucks up the whole military like
- 9:50Speaker 1: it's no problem. He just uses his groot arms to
- 9:52Speaker 1: like stab everybody to death and blow him up with
- 9:55Speaker 1: grenades and stuff and does the most like vicious murders
- 9:59Speaker 1: you can imagine to all these military guys and shit,
- 10:02Speaker 1: and they're you know, they're shooting them with like a
- 10:03Speaker 1: thousand rounds a minute and nothing's doing jack shit to them.
- 10:08Speaker 1: But then like at the end when they fight him,
- 10:10Speaker 1: they just fuck him up like a regular style. They
- 10:13Speaker 1: basically have like a karate showdown with It's like a
- 10:17Speaker 1: Matrix showdown. Honestly, Season five reminded me of The Matrix
- 10:20Speaker 1: a lot, where Vecna's hooking all these kids up to
- 10:23Speaker 1: his suck machine and then they're like living in this
- 10:25Speaker 1: alternate reality and you know, there's just there's so much
- 10:29Speaker 1: to talk about with this. I'm gonna try to keep
- 10:31Speaker 1: it short and focused. What was the deal with the
- 10:33Speaker 1: suck machine? Like that's that part Whenever Max and Holly
- 10:42Speaker 1: are finally getting ready to escape, and Max is just like, well,
- 10:47Speaker 1: here I am. Time for me to go back to
- 10:49Speaker 1: my body back in the hospital next to my boyfriend
- 10:52Speaker 1: and shit. And then Holly looks into her reality and
- 10:56Speaker 1: she's just like hooked up to this fucking suck machine.
- 10:58Speaker 1: And it's like, yeah, maybe we should have thought this through.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Maybe I thought maybe even like maybe what happens if
- 11:05Speaker 1: Holly goes through Max's thing anyway, maybe her spirit is
- 11:10Speaker 1: just kind of like around and even though it's not
- 11:12Speaker 1: in her body yet, maybe she's able to like communicate
- 11:15Speaker 1: with them, kind of like how Will did whenever he
- 11:18Speaker 1: was a little ghost boy. So I don't know, there
- 11:22Speaker 1: was there were a lot of things like that that
- 11:24Speaker 1: I was thinking, like, oh, maybe they'll do this, like
- 11:26Speaker 1: that'd be kind of interesting. And they just did it
- 11:29Speaker 1: and then that's fine. You know. They were they were
- 11:31Speaker 1: cruising it, they were they were phoning at home, and
- 11:34Speaker 1: that's okay. You gotta do that sometimes you gotta do
- 11:36Speaker 1: that shit, especially you've had five successful seasons. You made
- 11:39Speaker 1: like a billion fucking dollars on the show. Who gives
- 11:43Speaker 1: a shit? Honestly, do the do whatever you want with
- 11:45Speaker 1: the little Duffers Duffer brother fuckers, go ahead, and you know,
- 11:52Speaker 1: write me a damn check, already set me up for life.
- 11:58Speaker 1: I wanna I'll give you guys some ideas. I already
- 12:00Speaker 1: came up with like two or three ideas right now.
- 12:03Speaker 1: That would have been pretty fucking cool to see. But
- 12:05Speaker 1: instead we just got like Robin coaching Will on how
- 12:08Speaker 1: to be gay most of the time, which, you know,
- 12:12Speaker 1: you know, how hard is it really? How hard is
- 12:14Speaker 1: it to be gay? Robin? Do you need to talk
- 12:16Speaker 1: to him for that long about it? Just you know,
- 12:18Speaker 1: tell him do whatever the fuck you wants, you know,
- 12:25Speaker 1: just get on with it. Let's kill vecknha already, motherfuckers.
- 12:32Speaker 1: So so yeah, other than that, I guess the other
- 12:35Speaker 1: thing that I kind of mentioned was the military. What
- 12:37Speaker 1: the fuck was going on with the military the whole time?
- 12:42Speaker 1: They should have what they should have done. And I
- 12:45Speaker 1: hate saying this. I hate being like, oh, yeah, this
- 12:47Speaker 1: is the right way to do the show. I'm just
- 12:49Speaker 1: some jackass in his fucking bedroom recording the show that
- 12:53Speaker 1: you know, ten people listen to listen to me, I
- 12:57Speaker 1: know what I'm talking about. I'm on Netflix, fucking shit,
- 13:04Speaker 1: don't listen to anything I'm saying Toffer brothers, Apparently you
- 13:07Speaker 1: guys know exactly what the fuck to do to make
- 13:10Speaker 1: all the damn money in the world. But hey, check
- 13:16Speaker 1: this out. I'm making four dollars a month on Patreon.
- 13:19Speaker 1: You stupid motherfuckers. Suck on those nuts. No, what was like,
- 13:25Speaker 1: Oh yeah, the military. First of all, get Sarah Connor's
- 13:29Speaker 1: ass out of the show with that little damn wig.
- 13:31Speaker 1: I was so disappointed, just because I always looked at
- 13:35Speaker 1: Sarah Connor from Terminator Too and thought, damn, what a badass.
- 13:38Speaker 1: She looks like she could fucking kick some fucking ass,
- 13:40Speaker 1: you know, and this show was she a midget? Every
- 13:47Speaker 1: time you see her, she's like four feet tall with
- 13:49Speaker 1: a floppy gray wig on. Why was she so little?
- 13:55Speaker 1: What happened? Did she shrink or did something happen to her?
- 13:58Speaker 1: I was so confused by that. But anyway, get her
- 14:02Speaker 1: ass off the show because she didn't do anything. She
- 14:04Speaker 1: just walked around and like looked suspicious all the time
- 14:07Speaker 1: about like like it didn't even make sense. She was
- 14:09Speaker 1: wanting to capture eleven because she thought Eleven was doing
- 14:13Speaker 1: all the shit. But doesn't everybody already know about like
- 14:16Speaker 1: Demagorgans and Vecna and shit. At this point especially, you
- 14:19Speaker 1: think the military would because they seem to know all
- 14:22Speaker 1: sorts of shit. But what would have made the most
- 14:26Speaker 1: sense is if by the end of all this, like
- 14:29Speaker 1: when they're getting to the conclusion in the finale, if
- 14:32Speaker 1: you know, the military, Eleven and her whole gang and
- 14:36Speaker 1: shit like that get together and start working together. I did.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I just didn't understand. I get that it's like a
- 14:43Speaker 1: trope to have the military be the bad guys and
- 14:45Speaker 1: the government's bad and everything like that. I get it.
- 14:48Speaker 1: That worked, okay whenever the Papa guy was around and
- 14:51Speaker 1: he was fucking doing all the goofball shit. But by
- 14:54Speaker 1: this point they should have been like, hey, there's a
- 14:58Speaker 1: It's not Eleven, it's this other fucking devil tree man
- 15:02Speaker 1: who is fucking up the whole world, and we need
- 15:04Speaker 1: to start focusing on his little ass. Get what I'm saying.
- 15:10Speaker 1: And then you know, they have the military on their side,
- 15:14Speaker 1: and they go in there and you know, maybe in
- 15:17Speaker 1: the other dimension the what was it, the abyss, Maybe
- 15:20Speaker 1: when they get to the abyss, the machine guns will work,
- 15:23Speaker 1: since apparently just stabbing Vecna through the body and cutting
- 15:28Speaker 1: his head off is all you really needed to do
- 15:30Speaker 1: in the first place, because I mean, if you shoot
- 15:32Speaker 1: him with enough bullets in the neck, his head's probably
- 15:34Speaker 1: gonna come off, I would assume. So that was just
- 15:38Speaker 1: another thing that stood out the military. What the fuck?
- 15:42Speaker 1: What the fuck was all that bullshit? Why couldn't they
- 15:45Speaker 1: figure out something for them to do? It just felt like,
- 15:49Speaker 1: why are they always going after these kids and shit
- 15:52Speaker 1: like that. You think at some point they'd realize, oh, yeah, okay,
- 15:55Speaker 1: maybe it's not that the kids seem to be trying
- 15:58Speaker 1: to do what we should be trying to do. Why
- 16:02Speaker 1: are they so dumb? They shouldn't be that fucking dumb.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Like I get them being like uninformed or you know,
- 16:10Speaker 1: for the first couple of seasons, two or three seasons
- 16:13Speaker 1: or whatever, Yeah, they can be the bad guy, but
- 16:16Speaker 1: at this point it just seems really silly. And then
- 16:18Speaker 1: by the end of it, they just like didn't do anything.
- 16:21Speaker 1: They just showed up at the end and started, I guess,
- 16:24Speaker 1: arresting everybody. But at the same time they don't do
- 16:27Speaker 1: you know, it shows them graduating like not that long
- 16:30Speaker 1: after this whole thing goes down, and you know, the
- 16:35Speaker 1: military is just out of Hawkins at this point, there's
- 16:38Speaker 1: no military presence anymore. Once it's all said and done
- 16:41Speaker 1: and Vecna is dead, and they're just like, well, see
- 16:44Speaker 1: you guys later. Let us know if any other thing
- 16:49Speaker 1: any more. You know, little X men kid come walking
- 16:53Speaker 1: around the woods here, and we will love to take
- 16:55Speaker 1: their blood and put it into pregnant women's bodies because
- 17:01Speaker 1: we're the military and that's what we like to do.
- 17:03Speaker 1: We like to take little mutant blood and put it
- 17:05Speaker 1: into non mutant bodies. Makes sense, doesn't it? What? What? What? So? Yeah,
- 17:15Speaker 1: basically the end of season five is just them Boss
- 17:19Speaker 1: battling the mind Flare, which that was something I was
- 17:22Speaker 1: kind of like, where is the fucking mind Flare in
- 17:24Speaker 1: this whole thing? And of course he's like a shriveled
- 17:26Speaker 1: up spider that Vecna's living inside, and he just kind
- 17:30Speaker 1: of flips over once they get to the Abyss basically
- 17:33Speaker 1: like the final Boss stage, and they're just straight up like, hey,
- 17:38Speaker 1: you know, you know what we gotta do, don't you?
- 17:40Speaker 1: And they're like, uh no, what Shoot the fuck out
- 17:43Speaker 1: of it and set it on fire. And they're like,
- 17:46Speaker 1: you know what, that makes sense. So they do that
- 17:48Speaker 1: and kill it and while they're doing that and killing it,
- 17:52Speaker 1: Eleven's inside of it, just fucking force fighting Vecna with
- 17:57Speaker 1: her mind powers, and she stabs it through a big
- 18:01Speaker 1: like a it almost looks like a giant fang that's
- 18:04Speaker 1: sticking out of the ground, and so he gets impaled.
- 18:07Speaker 1: They all go in there because Vecnu's or fucking mind
- 18:09Speaker 1: flare is dead now, and they and Joyce just cuts
- 18:14Speaker 1: off Vecna's head with an axe. What she gives them
- 18:20Speaker 1: like thirty wax to the neck with the axe, and
- 18:23Speaker 1: the whole time there's just like flashbacks and shit going
- 18:25Speaker 1: off throughout like the last five seasons of like what's
- 18:29Speaker 1: happened and stuff, and why she hates Vecna so much,
- 18:32Speaker 1: and it's like, yeah, we know, we've been watching the
- 18:35Speaker 1: goddamn show. I know it's taken like three years per
- 18:38Speaker 1: season for the goddamn show to come out or whatever
- 18:41Speaker 1: how long this thing's been going for ten fucking years now,
- 18:47Speaker 1: But we still remember what happened kind of. I kind
- 18:50Speaker 1: of do, anyway, at least I remember the main points,
- 18:53Speaker 1: you know, I remember why Joyce doesn't like Vecna, why
- 18:55Speaker 1: she would be mad at him, But you know, I don't.
- 18:58Speaker 1: I don't remember a whole lot of other shit, Like
- 19:00Speaker 1: when cale Lee popped out, I was kind of like,
- 19:02Speaker 1: who the fuck is that bitch? Why am I supposed
- 19:07Speaker 1: to know her? And then you know, I had to
- 19:09Speaker 1: fucking look it up and everyone's like, oh, yeah, she's
- 19:12Speaker 1: in the worst episode of season two or something two
- 19:16Speaker 1: or three, I don't remember. I was just like, oh yeah,
- 19:19Speaker 1: oh god, that dumb bitch. Get her off my fucking TV.
- 19:25Speaker 1: And yeah, that was another thing I kept. I mean,
- 19:27Speaker 1: they so basically they killed that motherfucker. Vecna kill his ass.
- 19:35Speaker 1: He goes to Hell forever. Thank god, he's in Hell
- 19:44Speaker 1: now with Hitler and Osama bin Laden, so right where
- 19:47Speaker 1: he deserves to be. And then they escape. They fucking
- 19:56Speaker 1: nuke the upside Down because they find out that there's
- 19:59Speaker 1: like antimadder there some shit, and if you blow it up,
- 20:03Speaker 1: it'll blow up the whole fucking place because it's like
- 20:05Speaker 1: a wormhole or something some shit like that. And so
- 20:10Speaker 1: then they're just like, all right, let's get out of
- 20:11Speaker 1: the upside Down now while it's blowing up, you know,
- 20:15Speaker 1: and everyone's like, all right, good idea. But eleven, that
- 20:18Speaker 1: colleague girl has like convinced her to like that she
- 20:21Speaker 1: needs to kill herself or the military we'll just keep
- 20:24Speaker 1: using her for her blood and powers and stuff. And
- 20:27Speaker 1: so she's kind of like, yeah, actually I'm gonna die
- 20:29Speaker 1: here in the upside Down. But uh so, you know,
- 20:33Speaker 1: Mike's like, no, ell, Ell, get out of there. Elle,
- 20:38Speaker 1: come on out of there, you know. But the military
- 20:41Speaker 1: is like holding them back, and then we see the
- 20:43Speaker 1: upside Down get fucking blown to smotherings. But then later on,
- 20:47Speaker 1: you know, they're at graduation and Mike has a little
- 20:50Speaker 1: thought where like the military was using those sound pulse
- 20:54Speaker 1: devices you know, to like uh paralyze l or whatever,
- 20:59Speaker 1: like neutralize her powers, and he realizes that she wouldn't
- 21:03Speaker 1: have been able to fucking talk to him in her
- 21:05Speaker 1: little mind space because they have this little like you know,
- 21:09Speaker 1: like emotional send off in like the little black room
- 21:16Speaker 1: mind world that she goes into to like see things
- 21:19Speaker 1: and talk to people and stuff like that, you know
- 21:21Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So anyway, he starts thinking about that,
- 21:25Speaker 1: and he's like, oh shit, she would have been like
- 21:27Speaker 1: in pain and writhing around on the ground if if
- 21:32Speaker 1: she was really there because of the damn sound waveguns
- 21:35Speaker 1: and stuff like that. So he starts realizing Oh damn, Collee,
- 21:39Speaker 1: you must have been putting on this like whole mirage
- 21:43Speaker 1: or whatever. Like her powers are, like she can create
- 21:45Speaker 1: a mirage, so maybe she was doing that and so
- 21:51Speaker 1: the Elk could escape in the military would think she
- 21:53Speaker 1: was dead, and she faked her own death, and now
- 21:55Speaker 1: she's just gonna go live in a small town in
- 21:57Speaker 1: the mountains or something, selling a grid to people that
- 22:01Speaker 1: do yoga. It was. It was something like that. So yeah,
- 22:10Speaker 1: you know, that's the end. I thought. My honest opinion
- 22:14Speaker 1: about the finale was that it was a pretty good
- 22:16Speaker 1: finale considering what we got for the opening of season five,
- 22:21Speaker 1: for the whole front half of season five, I thought
- 22:24Speaker 1: the ending was fine. I don't think it was like
- 22:27Speaker 1: the best thing ever. I don't think I think there
- 22:30Speaker 1: are definitely ways that it could have been better, you know,
- 22:33Speaker 1: like maybe going and maybe having like a bigger fight
- 22:38Speaker 1: with Vecna and the mind Flare and maybe like a
- 22:41Speaker 1: more meaningful fight, you know, or you know, them coming
- 22:44Speaker 1: up with some other way to beat them other than
- 22:46Speaker 1: like the ways that they've you know, fought them in
- 22:49Speaker 1: the past. This time it just worked. It worked out good, so,
- 22:53Speaker 1: you know, good, cool on them, Glad they did it,
- 22:57Speaker 1: but yeah, overall, I was like, you know what, pretty
- 23:01Speaker 1: pretty okay finale. I'm not that pissed about it. I
- 23:03Speaker 1: think I think the fans that are upset with it,
- 23:07Speaker 1: I think they just kind of have too many expectations
- 23:11Speaker 1: for the show. Like I said, I think even before
- 23:14Speaker 1: the what was it, conformity Gate, I think the expectations
- 23:18Speaker 1: for the show were too high even before that, because
- 23:21Speaker 1: I mean, but that really just highlighted that the expectations
- 23:26Speaker 1: were too high. The whole like conformity gate theory, where
- 23:28Speaker 1: people were thinking, oh, that couldn't have been the season
- 23:32Speaker 1: finale because it was so anti climactic and there were
- 23:35Speaker 1: so many things that just didn't add up. Those smart
- 23:38Speaker 1: little Duffer brothers must have just been sitting back there
- 23:41Speaker 1: laughing at us because they don't even they because we
- 23:43Speaker 1: think the whole show's over, and the whole show's not over.
- 23:49Speaker 1: There's no way like that. But the Duffer Brothers are
- 23:53Speaker 1: just like, no, that's it. That's the fucking end of
- 23:55Speaker 1: the show, buds, Like, I hope you enjoyed it. I guess, like,
- 23:59Speaker 1: why you guys, why are you guys coming up with
- 24:01Speaker 1: all these other bullshit? Now, like all these expectations that
- 24:05Speaker 1: we're supposed to fulfill and stuff like that. It's not
- 24:08Speaker 1: the case. It never was going to be. The show
- 24:10Speaker 1: was never that deep. You know. It was a pretty
- 24:13Speaker 1: fun show. You know. It had that feeling of like
- 24:17Speaker 1: almost like the kids section of like the IT movies,
- 24:20Speaker 1: the IT Story or Attack the Block or what are
- 24:25Speaker 1: some of those other ones like Monster Squad and stuff
- 24:29Speaker 1: like that. Like it had that feel and that's why
- 24:31Speaker 1: it was so good. It didn't really need to be
- 24:33Speaker 1: anything more than that. I mean, it could have been.
- 24:35Speaker 1: It definitely had potential, like I said, in the first
- 24:38Speaker 1: season and even in like the second season, there was
- 24:41Speaker 1: definitely a potential for this thing to be like a
- 24:44Speaker 1: deep show and have all this interesting lore that they
- 24:49Speaker 1: could have gotten into. But they kept it pretty surface level.
- 24:53Speaker 1: And I don't think there's you know, there's what can
- 24:55Speaker 1: you do? What can you say about that? It is
- 24:57Speaker 1: what it is. That's how they must have wanted show
- 25:00Speaker 1: to go after a certain point, and that's just how
- 25:02Speaker 1: it went. You can be disappointed by it, I guess,
- 25:04Speaker 1: but I don't know. I feel like after season three,
- 25:08Speaker 1: if you are expecting anything more than that, you are
- 25:12Speaker 1: kind of fooling yourself. So those are my thoughts on
- 25:16Speaker 1: Stranger Things season five. I don't think I can really
- 25:21Speaker 1: think of anything else that I need to talk about
- 25:23Speaker 1: as far as it goes, So let me know your
- 25:26Speaker 1: thoughts in the comment section below Tonight Connecting, connecting, No, no,
- 26:09Speaker 1: nothing of the
