- Lucas: Hey, welcome back to Learn Spanish with Fexingo. I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna. We're back at the park, and today we're talking about the playground slide again. Lucas: That's right. In episode 150 we learned some basic slide words. Today we'll learn a few more useful phrases. Luna: Oh, I remember. 'El tobogán' is the slide. That was fun. Lucas: Exactly. So first phrase: 'bajar por el tobogán'. That means 'to go down the slide'. Luna: Bajar por el tobogán. Bajar por el tobogán. That sounds like a mouthful. Lucas: You got it. 'Bajar' means 'to go down'. 'Por el tobogán' means 'down the slide'. So altogether, 'bajar por el tobogán'. Luna: Okay, 'bajar por el tobogán'. So if I want to say 'I go down the slide', I say 'Yo bajo por el tobogán'? Lucas: Perfect. 'Yo bajo por el tobogán'. But we often just use the phrase as a whole. Let's practice: repeat after me. Bajar por el tobogán. Luna: Bajar por el tobogán. Lucas: Great. Now next: 'esperar tu turno'. That means 'wait your turn'. Luna: Esperar tu turno. Esperar... that's 'to wait', right? And 'turno' is 'turn'? Lucas: You're right. 'Esperar' is 'to wait', and 'tu turno' is 'your turn'. So 'esperar tu turno'. Luna: Esperar tu turno. That's important for the slide, so nobody gets pushed. Lucas: Exactly. Now, a common thing kids say: 'es muy rápido'. That means 'it's very fast'. Luna: Es muy rápido. 'Rápido' is 'fast'. So 'es muy rápido' - the slide is very fast. Lucas: Yes. And if you like the slide, you can say 'me gusta el tobogán'. 'I like the slide'. Luna: Me gusta el tobogán. I remember 'me gusta' means 'I like'. So 'me gusta el tobogán'. Lucas: Perfect. And finally, if you want to suggest going down together, say 'vamos a bajar'. 'Let's go down'. Luna: Vamos a bajar. 'Vamos' is 'let's go', and 'bajar' is 'go down'. So vamos a bajar. Lucas: Let's hear all five together. Repeat after me: bajar por el tobogán. Luna: Bajar por el tobogán. Lucas: Esperar tu turno. Luna: Esperar tu turno. Lucas: Es muy rápido. Luna: Es muy rápido. Lucas: Me gusta el tobogán. Luna: Me gusta el tobogán. Lucas: Vamos a bajar. Luna: Vamos a bajar. Lucas: Awesome. Now let's imagine a little scene. You're at the park with a friend. Luna: Okay, I'm ready. Lucas: You see the slide and you say, 'Me gusta el tobogán. Es muy rápido.' Luna: Me gusta el tobogán. Es muy rápido. Lucas: Then your friend says, 'Vamos a bajar.' And you reply, 'Sí, vamos a bajar. Pero primero, espera tu turno.' Luna: Sí, vamos a bajar. Pero primero, espera tu turno. Lucas: Perfect. You're waiting your turn, and then you go down the slide: 'Bajo por el tobogán.' Luna: Bajo por el tobogán. Lucas: Great job. Now let's do a quick review. I'll say the English, you say the Spanish. Luna: Sounds good. Lucas: To go down the slide. Luna: Bajar por el tobogán. Lucas: Wait your turn. Luna: Esperar tu turno. Lucas: It's very fast. Luna: Es muy rápido. Lucas: I like the slide. Luna: Me gusta el tobogán. Lucas: Let's go down. Luna: Vamos a bajar. Lucas: Excellent. You know, people often ask how we keep this show ad-free. So imagine you're at the park with a child. The child says, 'Quiero bajar por el tobogán.' Luna: Quiero bajar por el tobogán. I want to go down the slide. Lucas: You say, 'Espera tu turno. Hay otros niños.' Wait your turn. There are other children. Luna: Espera tu turno. Hay otros niños. Lucas: The child waits, then says, 'Es mi turno. Voy a bajar.' Luna: Es mi turno. Voy a bajar. Lucas: And after going down, the child shouts, 'Es muy rápido. Me gusta mucho.' Luna: Es muy rápido. Me gusta mucho. Lucas: You smile and say, 'Vamos a bajar otra vez.' Let's go down again. Luna: Vamos a bajar otra vez. Lucas: Wonderful. You're ready to use these phrases at the park. Keep practicing, and we'll see you next time. Luna: ¡Hasta luego!
