Mike Yurcich’s firing, the future of Penn State’s offense, and how much blame does Franklin get?
With two games left in the 2023 regular season, Penn State coach James Franklin made the move following Saturday’s 24-15 loss to No. 3 Michigan to part ways with offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich and go in a new direction. His interim solution was to give OC duties to both running backs coach Ja’Juan Seider and tight ends coach Ty Howle. PennLive’s Johnny McGonigal and Dustin Hockensmith tackled the meaning of Yurcich's firing, the magnitude of Franklin’s next hire, and how good the Penn State OC job is.
