- Brad Peters: Welcome to the Recipe for Results. This is your podcast extra for certification. In the hotel, restaurant, and bar industry, brought to you by HRB Universal. This is the brief on the Surf Safe Food Protection Manager certification course in Boca Ratan. We're looking at HRB Universal's upcoming ANSI-accredited food safety event, and this is absolutely crucial because the FDA legally requires food establishments to have a certified manager on duty at all times. First, let's dive into the logistics of this one-day food safety boot camp happening on July 28, 2026, down in Boca Raton, Florida. Now, you might be wondering: can a single day really transform an entire restaurant's safety culture? Well, second, the mandatory prep work explains exactly how that's possible. Because you can't just show up cold. You've got to knock out some cell study on the HRB Universal portal before you even arrive. Think of it kind of like a flipped classroom. You do all the heavy lifting at home. So that live morning session isn't just some basic foundational class, but a really fast-paced, targeted review, zeroing right in on the hardest concepts. Finally, we hit the exam and the reality of compliance. You know, the FDA food code literally demands that a designated person in charge be fully certified. So, after spending your morning mastering the material, the afternoon is entirely dedicated to an electronic exam where you can either take it on your own tablet or just use a device provided right there on site. Securing this certification on July 28th isn't just about dodging regulatory fines. It's your one-stop shop for mastering the safety standards that protect both your customers and your business.
