- 1:08Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, Like I'm blown away. Not that I didn't
- 1:11Speaker 2: think we would do good, but it's just like it's
- 1:13Speaker 2: awesome to see it, like come to veris.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Come to Fruition. I like this. But we're doing really good,

- 1:34Speaker 1: We do. So go over to Instagram, message us, comment,
- 1:37Speaker 1: share stories, whatever it is, and recommend a story and yeah,
- 1:41Speaker 1: we'll talk back to you. We won't talk back to you,
- 1:44Speaker 1: but we'll talk back to you. You know what I mean.
- 1:45Speaker 2: We'll talk with you.
- 1:46Speaker 1: There, we'll talk with you.
- 1:48Speaker 2: We'll talk with you.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Nicole is the word smith today.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Today for ones. For ones, Let's note this.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Yes, she's not mispronouncing words yet and saying orgasm instead.
- 1:59Speaker 1: She's got this rolling with it. She's doing good.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Oh, we're gonna have to do like I don't know,
- 2:03Speaker 2: after a certain number of episodes, like uh, what would
- 2:07Speaker 2: that be called look a look back or something? All
- 2:10Speaker 2: that crazy ass moments that have that have happened.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Okay, if you were to look back, though not necessarily moments. Boy,
- 2:16Speaker 1: it's your favorite episode so far?
- 2:19Speaker 2: Oh seriously, what's my favorite episode? So not necessarily when
- 2:23Speaker 2: I've done just one in general?
- 2:25Speaker 1: Okay, well, not even necessarily a favorite episode, favorite case?
- 2:27Speaker 1: How's that? What's your favorite case? I have to go
- 2:33Speaker 1: for me, it's Diatla Pass.
- 2:35Speaker 2: The very first. That was the first one, wasn't it, Yes,
- 2:37Speaker 2: first episode? You know what, I honestly think that this
- 2:39Speaker 2: is like you probably wouldn't even guess this, but I
- 2:41Speaker 2: think mine's the mad Trapper.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Actually that was what I was going to guess.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Oh seriously, Yeah, I don't know. That one was just
- 2:48Speaker 2: like so entertaining to me.
- 2:50Speaker 3: You were like enthralled by that bad ass for you
- 2:52Speaker 3: of that, well, I just thought like, yeah, he had
- 2:54Speaker 3: some serious issues, but like, oh, I don't know.
- 2:58Speaker 2: I think I was just like I want to be
- 2:59Speaker 2: a like I just know if I got lost in
- 3:01Speaker 2: the woods that I would probably like maybe last to day.
- 3:04Speaker 2: So the fact that he could last that long was
- 3:06Speaker 2: freaking dope.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Oh yeah, and he did some crazy shit.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:10Speaker 1: So, speaking of crazy shit, we're going to rock a
- 3:14Speaker 1: case today that is probably the worst case that we've
- 3:17Speaker 1: done to date.
- 3:18Speaker 2: So listener discretion advised.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Listener discretion is very much so advised. This is a
- 3:24Speaker 1: very graphic case that deals with heavy assault and even
- 3:28Speaker 1: in cases sexual assault. So yes, so fair warning.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Are we going to be able to sleep tonight. Maybe
- 3:37Speaker 2: make sure your doors are locked.
- 3:38Speaker 1: You might be able to sleep as long as you're
- 3:40Speaker 1: not inside a Lulu Lemon store. Because this takes place
- 3:44Speaker 1: inside a Lulu Lemon store.
- 3:46Speaker 2: I love me some Lulu Lemon.
- 3:47Speaker 1: You're wearing Lulu.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I should probably just like be a.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Spokesperson for them, Lululemon sponsor, Nicole sponsor this podcast.
- 3:56Speaker 2: I'm literally wearing their pants every single.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Day twenty four seven, like to bed.
- 4:01Speaker 2: I don't wear their pants to bed.
- 4:02Speaker 1: But you wear leggings to bed.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Not always, and it's generally just like cheap ones.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Gotcha, you guys hearing and buzzing. It's springtime, which means
- 4:12Speaker 1: a lot of water draining from the snow melting, So
- 4:15Speaker 1: our podcasts are probably gonna have that happening. Lots plus
- 4:18Speaker 1: motorbikes running up and down the road by our house.
- 4:20Speaker 1: It's that time of year. Yeah, So we're sorry for
- 4:23Speaker 1: the background noise.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Because there's I just have to say, there's some listeners
- 4:26Speaker 2: that are like way down so sore. We still have
- 4:29Speaker 2: snow just to let you know, get.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Like half a foot of snow on our front lawn
- 4:32Speaker 1: right now. Yeah, So so we're still we're still thawing
- 4:35Speaker 1: out of here.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Okay, I'm pumped, Lulu Lemon. Let's get on with.
- 4:39Speaker 1: This, lululin Oh I just realized, did I actually write
- 4:41Speaker 1: down the year this took place?
- 4:42Speaker 2: Oh?
- 4:42Speaker 1: I did? Okay? I was like, oh my god, I
- 4:44Speaker 1: don't think I wrote down the year. No I did.
- 4:46Speaker 1: I'm good, panic averted. Okay, So this takes place in twenty.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Eleven, Okay, not very long ago.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Not very long ago. No, So it's March twelfth. The
- 4:55Speaker 1: store manager at a Bethesda Lululemon store in Maryland, Washington.
- 4:59Speaker 1: D You see Rachel o' hurtley, I think is how
- 5:03Speaker 1: you pronounce her name. So that's the manager. She arrived
- 5:06Speaker 1: to open the store.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Okay.
- 5:08Speaker 1: She arrived shortly before eight am, and she found the
- 5:11Speaker 1: store was unlocked and the lights were on. Creepy, right,
- 5:15Speaker 1: totally weird. It's supposed to be locked up. Well yeah, yeah,
- 5:18Speaker 1: clearly something's not right. So however, she found the store
- 5:22Speaker 1: like that. But Rachel entered the store and immediately noticed
- 5:25Speaker 1: the place was a mess, and she heard some moaning
- 5:28Speaker 1: coming from the back of the store.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I already think that's gross. But I don't
- 5:33Speaker 2: even know.
- 5:33Speaker 1: What my first instincts might be I need to call
- 5:36Speaker 1: fucking Ghostbusters. Her first instincts where I'm getting the fuck
- 5:40Speaker 1: out here, which is probably the better call.
- 5:42Speaker 2: I feel like I would have had to go check
- 5:44Speaker 2: it out.
- 5:44Speaker 3: But okay, what's this mysterious moaning coming from the back
- 5:49Speaker 3: of the store here, Scooby Dooby doo just all of
- 5:54Speaker 3: a sudden, the gang just gotta find this person back
- 5:57Speaker 3: here making the noise.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Well, she made the right call, though she didn't call
- 6:01Speaker 1: the Scooby Dang Scooby Dang Scooby Gang or the Ghostbusters.
- 6:04Speaker 1: She exited and went to call nine one one right away. Okay, however,
- 6:09Speaker 1: next to the Lululu I'm gonna mess up Lululemon lots,
- 6:12Speaker 1: I know it.
- 6:13Speaker 2: You have to say that word slowly.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Next to the Lulu Lemons store, there's three l's. It's difficult.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Was an apple store. And when Rachel left the Lulu
- 6:22Speaker 1: Lemon store, she saw a man by the name of
- 6:24Speaker 1: Ryan how Hug. I'm not sure how to pronounce his name.
- 6:28Speaker 1: H A U G h Hug Hug.
- 6:31Speaker 2: I think hug.
- 6:32Speaker 1: I think I don't know hug. We'll say hug Ryan Hug.
- 6:35Speaker 1: She didn't know this guy, but he did work next door,
- 6:37Speaker 1: and she quickly got his attention and asked him to
- 6:40Speaker 1: go inside the Lulu store with her, so you know,
- 6:43Speaker 1: in case there's someone there or in case someone needs help.
- 6:45Speaker 1: That was her first thing. Why they're to go inside. Okay,
- 6:48Speaker 1: So the two entered the store and Ryan proceeded to
- 6:51Speaker 1: go to the back where Rachel heard the moaning in
- 6:54Speaker 1: the hallway. He saw a body lying face down in
- 6:58Speaker 1: is a bloody mess in the hallway, and he shouted
- 7:02Speaker 1: for Rachel to call the police. And then he also
- 7:04Speaker 1: spotted another person tied up but still alive in the bathroom.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Oh wow, Yeah, so.
- 7:12Speaker 1: That's what she found going to work at the Lululemons store.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Holy shit, that's like the opposite of what you would
- 7:19Speaker 2: ever think to you.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Find right now. I don't know if this is a Monday,
- 7:24Speaker 1: but you think your Mondays are bad?
- 7:26Speaker 2: Like, holy shit, how did they even get in?
- 7:29Speaker 1: But okay, so the day before, oh it's Wednesday, so
- 7:34Speaker 1: it would have been a Thursday, not a Monday.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Oh okay, So.
- 7:36Speaker 1: The day before was Wednesday, March eleventh, twenty eleven, thirty
- 7:40Speaker 1: year old Jana Murray was working the Bethesda Lulu Lemon store.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Jana was working here part time as she was attending
- 7:46Speaker 1: John Hopkins University pursuing two master's degrees. Wow, a Master
- 7:50Speaker 1: of Business Administrators Administration. I can't talk today. I'm pulling
- 7:55Speaker 1: a you in episode.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Five, no mine better.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Fair enough, fair enough? So a master's of Business Administration
- 8:04Speaker 1: and a master's of Arts and Communication. She only had
- 8:07Speaker 1: two months left before she graduated. It's impressive, right, two
- 8:11Speaker 1: masters at one time. M So. She loved yoga, however,
- 8:17Speaker 1: it wasn't like her main passion, but it did bring
- 8:20Speaker 1: like a lot of calmness to her life, and she
- 8:21Speaker 1: loved working at the store and incorporating into her life
- 8:24Speaker 1: sort of thing.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I feel like it's almost a pre wreck for that story, I.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Think so, I really do think so.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:30Speaker 1: So, like needless to say, she'd love working for the company. Right.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Her and her coworker, Brittany Norwood, who is a twenty
- 8:37Speaker 1: nine year old, finished work at the store at nine
- 8:40Speaker 1: forty five. Jana was the keyholder and would lock up
- 8:44Speaker 1: the store once they left. Like that's kind of how
- 8:47Speaker 1: how she rolled. She was a keyholder. Lock up do
- 8:49Speaker 1: you think right?
- 8:50Speaker 2: Sounds about right?
- 8:52Speaker 1: So that's the two people the police found inside the
- 8:55Speaker 1: store when they arrived on March twelfth.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Oh it was them.
- 8:59Speaker 1: It was those two. They found Jana Murray laying face
- 9:02Speaker 1: down in a bloody hallway and Brittany Norwood in the
- 9:06Speaker 1: bathroom alive. She had her hands tied with zip ties
- 9:10Speaker 1: from the store over her head, cuts on her bodies
- 9:14Speaker 1: and a two inch laceration from her hand running parallel
- 9:17Speaker 1: along her thumb, and the crotch of her pants were
- 9:20Speaker 1: ripped open.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Oh shit.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's kind of a horrific fucking scene.
- 9:25Speaker 2: And that was just like all night.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Yes, oh okay, we're gonna get into that a little bit,
- 9:33Speaker 1: but just to kind of paint a little bit of
- 9:35Speaker 1: a picture here, and we're definitely not putting these on Instagram,
- 9:38Speaker 1: but I did see some crime scene photos. The mess
- 9:43Speaker 1: of blood in the hallway is it's like a freaking
- 9:47Speaker 1: Saw movie Like it splattered like four or five six
- 9:51Speaker 1: feet up the walls, like it's brutal.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Really, Yes, oh that does paint quite the picture.
- 9:58Speaker 1: It's insane.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Wow.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Okay, So inside the store, the police also found that
- 10:04Speaker 1: the safe had been emptied and there were two sets
- 10:06Speaker 1: of bloody footprints throughout the store. Later at the hospital,
- 10:11Speaker 1: police spoke to Brittany and she told them what happened.
- 10:14Speaker 1: She said that once they closed the store, herself and
- 10:17Speaker 1: Jana parted ways, but shortly after she realized she forgot
- 10:20Speaker 1: her wallet in the store and called Jana, because you know,
- 10:23Speaker 1: Jane is the one who has the key. He told her, right,
- 10:27Speaker 1: She's like, can you come back to the store, let
- 10:29Speaker 1: me in get my wallet sort of thing, and Jana agreed,
- 10:32Speaker 1: drove back to the store and then went back inside.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Oh that super sucks. So she wouldn't have forgot her wallet. Yeah, shit,
- 10:39Speaker 2: wouldn't have gone down.
- 10:41Speaker 1: And when they went back inside, they were followed back
- 10:43Speaker 1: inside by two men. Oh no, the men once answered
- 10:49Speaker 1: the store, grabbed them, bound them, and began to sexually
- 10:53Speaker 1: assault both of them. However, Brittany said that Jana resisted
- 10:59Speaker 1: and fought back, and so the again they began their
- 11:02Speaker 1: brutal attack on her. Oh so she like, oh, okay,
- 11:07Speaker 1: so this is like a dire, dark situation here.
- 11:11Speaker 2: It's like life or death.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Oh definitely, yeah, And this is where we're going to
- 11:15Speaker 1: get into kind of how brutal the attack on Jana was.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Her autopsy showed that Jana Murray sustained up to one
- 11:25Speaker 1: hundred and five defensive wounds holy, which are arms and legs,
- 11:32Speaker 1: indicating she was fighting back.
- 11:34Speaker 2: She put up a good fight.
- 11:36Speaker 1: That's only defensive wounds. She sustained at least three hundred
- 11:43Speaker 1: and thirty one injuries before she died. Really, well, then
- 11:48Speaker 1: let me say that again. At least because some wounds
- 11:53Speaker 1: can be overlapping. So at least three hundred and thirty
- 11:56Speaker 1: one injuries before she died. She was alive for all
- 12:03Speaker 1: three hundred and thirty one plus injuries.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Holy, So she's alive. Tough cookie.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Hey, yes, so Jana is our badass of the day.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Just saying one hundred and five defensive wounds and being
- 12:17Speaker 1: able to withstand that much.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Wow, Okay, like it's impressive, but also like, oh, like
- 12:24Speaker 2: the poor thing.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Yes, it's ridiculously dark. It's I can't fathom having to
- 12:29Speaker 1: go through something like that.
- 12:30Speaker 2: No, but also like, if you have to, I think
- 12:34Speaker 2: it's better to probably go out with a fight than oh.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Always fight. And Jana fucking fought, Yeah she did. According
- 12:42Speaker 1: to Jana's medical examiner, Mary Ripple, bruising and bleeding around
- 12:46Speaker 1: the wounds indicated that Mary or that sorry Jana had
- 12:50Speaker 1: her last name written down here. It threw me off
- 12:52Speaker 1: for a second that Jana was alive during the attack.
- 12:55Speaker 1: She and to quote her, she had a pulse, she
- 12:58Speaker 1: had a blood pressure, she was bleeding into the wounds.
- 13:01Speaker 1: She was alive, so there is evidence to say that
- 13:05Speaker 1: she was alive. Among her injuries, Jana sustained multiple cuts, bruises, abrasions,
- 13:12Speaker 1: cutting wounds, cutting wounds, Like, how disgusting is that? Not cuts? Cutting?
- 13:18Speaker 2: Oh? Okay, I didn't even know what you meant by that.
- 13:20Speaker 1: That's gross, Like sawing back and forth. Holy frig Yeah,
- 13:26Speaker 1: that's fucked.
- 13:28Speaker 2: These are freaking screwed. Eh, Yeah, Like what the heck?
- 13:32Speaker 1: Six blunt force wounds to her head and another blunt
- 13:36Speaker 1: force wound that crushed her skull, a stab wound to
- 13:40Speaker 1: her shoulder, one to her lower back, and two to
- 13:43Speaker 1: the back of her head. Ah Like, holy fuck. Mary
- 13:50Speaker 1: Ripple also said that ultimately Jana was killed by a
- 13:54Speaker 1: knife wound to the back of the neck that pierced
- 13:56Speaker 1: her brain, an injury which she could have only survived
- 13:59Speaker 1: less than a minute. She also said that there was
- 14:01Speaker 1: at least five weapons used in the attack, amongst ones
- 14:06Speaker 1: present later in the case was a hammer, wrench, a rope,
- 14:10Speaker 1: a peg from a mannequin, and god knows what else. Wow,
- 14:16Speaker 1: So like this is fucked up, totally fucked.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I can't believe it is. How brutal these
- 14:22Speaker 2: attackers were.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Oh, it was ridiculous, like and like I said, you
- 14:27Speaker 1: look at those pictures, it really puts it into perspective
- 14:31Speaker 1: how fucking hard like harsh this was. Because you can understand, okay,
- 14:38Speaker 1: getting hit, but like I said, the blood splatters up
- 14:40Speaker 1: the wall like six fucking feet. So with the hits
- 14:44Speaker 1: going like that and everything, it's just fucking It turns
- 14:48Speaker 1: my stomach to think that there's a fucking person or
- 14:51Speaker 1: person's capable of anything.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Like this, No kidding, Okay, So that moaning then, oh sorry,
- 14:57Speaker 2: I don't know if this's jumping ahead, But was that
- 14:59Speaker 2: Britney moaning? Then yes, that would have been okay because
- 15:03Speaker 2: what's her name? Jane? Jana? Jana? She was already dead? Yes, yeah, okay.
- 15:08Speaker 1: So when it came to brittany, hold on where am
- 15:13Speaker 1: I here? I'm looking at my notes, I'm lost?
- 15:15Speaker 2: What? Oh finely spot.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Okay, So she was tied up, she was raped and
- 15:22Speaker 1: sexually assaulted with a wooden clothes hangar from the store
- 15:25Speaker 1: as well, And she had a few cuts and minor
- 15:28Speaker 1: abrasions on her body.
- 15:30Speaker 2: So she other than I guess the fact that she
- 15:33Speaker 2: was raped, she wasn't didn't have as yes, wasn't beaten
- 15:37Speaker 2: as much.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Her wounds I have it written later on in my
- 15:41Speaker 1: notes here, but her wounds, according to the police a
- 15:43Speaker 1: medical examiner, are quote unquote superficial wounds.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Oh okay.
- 15:48Speaker 1: And of course, like this being as bad as this was,
- 15:51Speaker 1: the town of Bethesda, like was fucking shook. Well, yeah, like,
- 15:55Speaker 1: could you imagine like something happening that in your local
- 15:58Speaker 1: local city, even if you're working like a couple blocks
- 16:01Speaker 1: away from something like this where someone was beaten to
- 16:03Speaker 1: death with over three hundred and thirty one fucking attacks.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Is it a big city? Well, I guess it didn't
- 16:10Speaker 2: be a decent size of Adelula Lemon.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Actually I didn't look at the population or anything, to
- 16:14Speaker 1: be honest.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:15Speaker 1: So maybe if you guys want to look it up
- 16:17Speaker 1: for us, shoot a message on Instagram, because I'm not
- 16:20Speaker 1: gonna look it up. I'm gonna see if someone actually
- 16:22Speaker 1: messages us. Now it's a test, it's a test, okay.
- 16:27Speaker 1: But yeah, the town was like fucking shook. Restaurants were
- 16:29Speaker 1: reporting a fifty percent decrease in sales. Oh wow, stores
- 16:34Speaker 1: were closing early. People were refusing to work the night shift,
- 16:38Speaker 1: like they're afraid that this is going to happen to them.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Well yeah, no quick because lots of times, like it
- 16:41Speaker 2: says she being a store owner, they had to closing
- 16:45Speaker 2: to make it like safer.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Oh and it didn't matter.
- 16:47Speaker 2: But that didn't It didn't matter in the least.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Did not matter in the least. It still happened. Someone
- 16:52Speaker 1: was still brutally killed. There was even civilians going around
- 16:58Speaker 1: like talking to store owners sold ski masks because the
- 17:01Speaker 1: two individuals who broke in were wearing ski masks. So
- 17:07Speaker 1: they're like talking to people like did you sell ski
- 17:11Speaker 1: masks to people recently? Like what do they look like
- 17:13Speaker 1: and everything? And this is civilians in their own time
- 17:15Speaker 1: asking this.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Well yeah, so.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Like they're really trying to figure this out. And it
- 17:20Speaker 1: was like all over the news. It fucking shook the town.
- 17:26Speaker 1: I think, like my stumbling and muttering is it's because
- 17:29Speaker 1: I'm thirsty as fuck.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Well I have a drink, I have.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Cotton melth already, and it's just like bothering me. But
- 17:36Speaker 1: I can't. It's really hard to drink when you're talking.
- 17:39Speaker 2: You don't drink enough water.
- 17:40Speaker 1: I don't think you drink drink beer. I drink enough
- 17:44Speaker 1: beer in the same whiskey, not the same. I mean
- 17:47Speaker 1: there's water in it. It counts.
- 17:50Speaker 2: I don't think it does.
- 17:52Speaker 1: It's got to count for something.
- 17:53Speaker 2: I don't think it does, though, well it should.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I'm on the beer diet. Okay. Anyways, back to it.
- 18:01Speaker 1: With the Apple store being right next to the Lulu Lemon,
- 18:04Speaker 1: the detectives on the case went right there right away
- 18:06Speaker 1: for security footage because Lulu Lemon didn't have any They
- 18:10Speaker 1: didn't have any They didn't have any.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Oh my goodness. I thought you almost had to have
- 18:14Speaker 2: that sort of stuff.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Now, well this was twenty eleven.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Yeah, So they.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Went there for the security footage because lul Lemon didn't
- 18:23Speaker 1: have theirs. And they also learned that the day of
- 18:26Speaker 1: the attack, the Apple store actually had the release of
- 18:29Speaker 1: the iPad two that same day, so there was employees
- 18:33Speaker 1: at the store quite late.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Oh really, yes, oh.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Shit, So there were employees at the store when the
- 18:42Speaker 1: attack occurred.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Which is so surprising that they didn't hear anything.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Oh, they did hear things. Oh they heard grunting, high
- 18:49Speaker 1: pitched squeals, thudding, dragging, and one employee even recalls talking
- 18:54Speaker 1: to a manager and the security of the store as
- 18:57Speaker 1: they heard someone say God help me, please help me,
- 19:01Speaker 1: and they.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Just decided to do fuck off.
- 19:04Speaker 1: And they did nothing? What the hell nothing?
- 19:07Speaker 2: Why would they do nothing? Like would it have really
- 19:10Speaker 2: taken that long just to call nine one one?
- 19:12Speaker 1: They just chalked it up to fucking I don't know what.
- 19:15Speaker 1: But these guys at the fucking.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Store, do they typically hear that kind of shit on
- 19:19Speaker 2: a Wednesday night?
- 19:20Speaker 1: I would assume the answer is no, but I'm guessing maybe.
- 19:25Speaker 1: But like, how do you do nothing when someone says
- 19:28Speaker 1: God help me, please help me.
- 19:30Speaker 2: That's actually really fucked up.
- 19:33Speaker 1: It's so fucked because.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Cow, could you even tell the police that and like say, yeah,
- 19:38Speaker 2: I just decided to do nothing, but this is what
- 19:40Speaker 2: I heard, right, Like I would feel like the biggest
- 19:43Speaker 2: piece of shit. So oh man, I mean like the.
- 19:47Speaker 1: One person even approached the manager and security and was like,
- 19:50Speaker 1: I heard this, Like we should do something about that,
- 19:53Speaker 1: and they're like, nah, Like what the security that's their
- 19:57Speaker 1: fucking job, even job.
- 19:59Speaker 2: I mean, they're probably just thinking they're just security of Apple,
- 20:03Speaker 2: so so they're not going above and beyond or anything like.
- 20:06Speaker 1: They're not security of shit. If you don't fucking call police.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Or do anything, well, yeah, because you can. It's in
- 20:11Speaker 2: your story. You're still hearing this exactly.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Anyways, Oh, it's ridiculously brutal. Anyways, that aside the fucking
- 20:21Speaker 1: idiocy of the Apple store in Bethesda. Aside, on the
- 20:26Speaker 1: security footage out front of the Apple store, they found
- 20:28Speaker 1: the footage of two men matching Britney's description, and that
- 20:31Speaker 1: description was two men, one shorter, one taller, both wearing
- 20:35Speaker 1: black clothes and scheme masks. Of course, in this footage
- 20:38Speaker 1: they weren't wearing scheme masks and one had a backpack on.
- 20:42Speaker 1: They seen those two individuals on this footage. Oh okay,
- 20:46Speaker 1: and it was right around the time all this shit
- 20:48Speaker 1: went down.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Huh So like good, I hope it was good pictures.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Well, we'll get we're getting right into it. You're always
- 20:57Speaker 1: jumping ahead, and because I just I need to just know, well,
- 21:00Speaker 1: if you stop talking, you'll let me keep talking and
- 21:03Speaker 1: you'll find the fuck out. Okay. Anyways, detectives began staking
- 21:09Speaker 1: out the Lululemon in hopes that these two individuals would return.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Oh lone, and behold, they did return.
- 21:16Speaker 2: That's stupid.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Well, police immediately approached them and showed them the pictures
- 21:20Speaker 1: of the security footage and was like, cello, is this
- 21:24Speaker 1: you too, motherfuckers? And the guys are like, yeah, that's us.
- 21:29Speaker 1: But we're just two bus boys who work at a
- 21:32Speaker 1: nearby restaurant. And the police are like, okay, convenient, But
- 21:36Speaker 1: they look into their alibis, the albis all check out.
- 21:39Speaker 1: They were walking home from work and to and from work.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Everything checks out. Oh it wasn't. These two guys just
- 21:45Speaker 1: quite the fucking convenient.
- 21:48Speaker 2: That sory.
- 21:50Speaker 1: But there was another suspect in the case. I'm it's
- 21:54Speaker 1: another convenient one. It was brushed off real quick, so
- 21:56Speaker 1: I'm not going to dive into it too much here,
- 21:58Speaker 1: but it was a local homeless man by the name
- 22:00Speaker 1: of Keith. He was ruled out real quick as well.
- 22:03Speaker 1: So they're back to square one, okay, And this is
- 22:06Speaker 1: happening like real fast too, Like we're only on like
- 22:09Speaker 1: day one so far of this happening.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Oh well, I would have liked them to just find
- 22:12Speaker 2: these mofos quick yeah, but that doesn't happen.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Well, we're gonna start winding up onto it a little
- 22:19Speaker 1: bit here. There's some clues that start popping up that
- 22:23Speaker 1: might lead us to what we Well, I'm just gonna
- 22:26Speaker 1: stop it there. So now the crime scene's been getting
- 22:30Speaker 1: processed a little bit and they have found a few things.
- 22:33Speaker 1: For the bloody footprints, they match one of them to
- 22:36Speaker 1: a size fourteen pair of shoes that was found inside
- 22:39Speaker 1: the store. The shoes were bloodied and there was an
- 22:44Speaker 1: attempt to wash the rubber of the soles and clean
- 22:47Speaker 1: them and they were put back onto a shelf.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Oh, like it was someone. It wasn't the Lulu shoes.
- 22:53Speaker 2: It was like someone's shoes that they just left.
- 22:57Speaker 1: We're not sure. There's a size fourteen pair of shoes
- 23:00Speaker 1: that matched the footprint. They're bloodied up and they're washed
- 23:04Speaker 1: and stowed away.
- 23:05Speaker 2: In the store.
- 23:08Speaker 1: There were bloody footprints all around the store and a
- 23:11Speaker 1: sign of struggle and some blood at the front door,
- 23:13Speaker 1: but none outside the front door. They also found several
- 23:19Speaker 1: murder weapons inside the store and all of them belonged
- 23:22Speaker 1: to the store, as well as the zip ties that
- 23:25Speaker 1: were used to bound Britney.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Oh, that's too bad.
- 23:29Speaker 1: The safe at the store was also emptied of all
- 23:31Speaker 1: its contents, so it was robbed. I don't know if
- 23:34Speaker 1: I mentioned that already did? Yeah, I did, Okay a
- 23:37Speaker 1: little bit, I'm repeating myself. I'm sorry for that. Okay,
- 23:40Speaker 1: double information. In case you missed it the first time,
- 23:43Speaker 1: you now got it the second time. So there's some
- 23:46Speaker 1: weird things going on that police weren't quite sure what
- 23:50Speaker 1: to do with. So they're like, we need to go
- 23:52Speaker 1: to talk to Brittany and see we can get like
- 23:53Speaker 1: the story here and if she can help us put
- 23:56Speaker 1: in the little blanks to this that were not quite good.
- 23:58Speaker 2: Yeah, because it's interesting to it would be interesting, you
- 24:00Speaker 2: know what their motive was, like, is it just a robbery?
- 24:03Speaker 2: But then to do that kind of fucked up shit too.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Well, so far we have two guys who robbed the place,
- 24:10Speaker 1: who raped and killed, and we're about to learn here
- 24:15Speaker 1: how radical they were and racist. They were talking to
- 24:19Speaker 1: Brittany because Brittany was someone of color as well, So
- 24:22Speaker 1: you have like the worst fucking human beings possible. Yeah
- 24:26Speaker 1: here in this situation.
- 24:27Speaker 2: I already thought that, but I guess they just got worse.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Oh yeah, oh yeah. So they they go on, they
- 24:33Speaker 1: try and talk to Brittany, and it's like, okay, we've
- 24:34Speaker 1: got to figure some of this out. They see her
- 24:37Speaker 1: at her house two days after the attack, and they
- 24:40Speaker 1: asked her about the shoes and she said they're actually
- 24:42Speaker 1: little lemon shoes that they sell at the store. Oh
- 24:45Speaker 1: so the shoes belonged to the store.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Okay.
- 24:49Speaker 1: They asked her more questions about the attack, and they
- 24:52Speaker 1: couldn't quite understand why, Oh, way to go.
- 24:55Speaker 2: It's not the dogs, it's me way to go.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Anyways, a little bump of the mic. What was I saying? Now?
- 25:04Speaker 1: Oh right? They couldn't understand why Jana was so brutally attacked,
- 25:08Speaker 1: and yet Britney got away with what police called superficial wounds.
- 25:12Speaker 2: That's coming up because I was wondering that, but I
- 25:14Speaker 2: didn't see. I didn't ask a question there.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Good job, good job. So Britney said that the men
- 25:20Speaker 1: told her she was and we start getting a little
- 25:22Speaker 1: bit into a little I didn't quote a lot of
- 25:25Speaker 1: the racists and brutal quotations here, but she said that
- 25:29Speaker 1: she was quote unquote fun to fuck as far as
- 25:32Speaker 1: the men told her, and that they were going to
- 25:33Speaker 1: keep her alive. She said they continued to sexually assault
- 25:38Speaker 1: her and called her demeaning names like dirty slut and
- 25:41Speaker 1: as well as some extremely harsh racial slurs. And I'm like,
- 25:44Speaker 1: I said, I'm not going to repeat these slurs.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Yeah, that's good.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Yes. She also revealed that the men at one point
- 25:53Speaker 1: even shoved her onto Jane's body while she was laying
- 25:56Speaker 1: in the hallway.
- 25:59Speaker 2: Wow.
- 26:00Speaker 1: The new Information police still couldn't make much sense of
- 26:03Speaker 1: it all, and they were beginning to suspect Brittany of lying.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Really yes, really really, Okay, that takes a turn that
- 26:13Speaker 2: I didn't expect.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Well, there's a couple of things here. One of the
- 26:16Speaker 1: first things that they noticed on the scene was Britney's
- 26:21Speaker 1: hands tied with the zip ties. Right, Yeah, they weren't
- 26:26Speaker 1: tied to anything. But they found her with her hands
- 26:29Speaker 1: above her head and she's sitting down, laying against the wall,
- 26:32Speaker 1: and she supposedly have been there all night. Why would
- 26:36Speaker 1: her hands still be above her head. Why wouldn't you
- 26:39Speaker 1: just bring your hands down into your lap, like.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Because they were zip tied but you could still move them.
- 26:45Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it's just at the wrists.
- 26:47Speaker 1: They're bound together, but they're not bound to anything or
- 26:49Speaker 1: restricted from movie.
- 26:50Speaker 2: I don't know. My main thing is like, well, she
- 26:52Speaker 2: was like in shock. They didn't know what the shit
- 26:55Speaker 2: was going on, and she's just sitting there.
- 26:57Speaker 1: But there's some things that, like the police are just
- 26:59Speaker 1: like this doesn't fuck up. So there's now starting to
- 27:02Speaker 1: suspect Brittany because.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Of these things, and because she was the one that
- 27:04Speaker 2: forgot her wallet.
- 27:06Speaker 1: She was the one who forgot her wallet.
- 27:07Speaker 2: Yes, okay.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Their break in the case came when they found Jana's
- 27:12Speaker 1: missing car three blocks away, because remember when they went
- 27:16Speaker 1: back to the Lululemon store to get the wallet out,
- 27:19Speaker 1: Jana drove her car there. It had since been missing
- 27:22Speaker 1: since she parked it out front the store.
- 27:24Speaker 2: Oh okay, Okay, So.
- 27:26Speaker 1: They found her car, and they collected some DNA from inside,
- 27:30Speaker 1: some fingerprints from inside, a bunch of different evidence from inside,
- 27:34Speaker 1: and they also found a hat in a back seat
- 27:37Speaker 1: full of blood. Really, and there's a bunch of blood
- 27:41Speaker 1: smears in the inside of the car as well.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Okay, that's but okay, So it's like that they drove
- 27:47Speaker 2: away in it the attackers maybe I don't.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Know, potentially potentially, So they quickly went and ran DNA
- 27:56Speaker 1: analysis and came back to the blood in the car
- 27:58Speaker 1: was from Brittany Jana and the hat in the back
- 28:02Speaker 1: seat was Britney's hat and it was full of blood
- 28:07Speaker 1: as well. And they know what's Britney's hat because they
- 28:09Speaker 1: tested the DNA, like from the sweat on the brim
- 28:11Speaker 1: where your forehead touches.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Oh okay, that hat was actually physically Britney's hat.
- 28:15Speaker 1: It was actually physically Brittany's hat.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Yes, okay, huh.
- 28:20Speaker 1: So they now need to question Brittany again about this car,
- 28:23Speaker 1: and especially since her DNA's in there, her hat's in there,
- 28:27Speaker 1: there's some things like, Okay, we need to fucking check
- 28:29Speaker 1: this shit out.
- 28:30Speaker 2: Oh man, I'm really hoping that she wasn't part of this.
- 28:33Speaker 1: So they called Brittany to the police station on March sixteenth,
- 28:36Speaker 1: which is only four days after the whole attack. Yeah,
- 28:39Speaker 1: and they told her they wanted to collect hair and
- 28:41Speaker 1: fingerprints to rule her out from the crime scene. However,
- 28:45Speaker 1: the police had ulterior motives. They wanted to question her
- 28:48Speaker 1: and they want to try and catch her in a
- 28:49Speaker 1: lie because if she's lying about anything, then they really
- 28:54Speaker 1: know like she's hiding something. So they asked her if
- 28:58Speaker 1: she knew what Jane's car looked like. She said no.
- 29:04Speaker 1: First of all, it was parked out front the store.
- 29:08Speaker 1: She came back to let you in the store. It
- 29:10Speaker 1: was right fucking there.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Well, and if they work together like she'd probably know
- 29:15Speaker 2: what her coworker's car looks like.
- 29:18Speaker 1: You think exactly? They asked her if she's ever been
- 29:22Speaker 1: inside Jana's car. Brittany said no, nope, she's fucking lying.
- 29:28Speaker 2: Okay. Oh man, I was really hoping that this wouldn't
- 29:30Speaker 2: take this turn and stressing me out, but it's taken it.
- 29:33Speaker 1: It's taking this turn. She's fucking lying.
- 29:36Speaker 2: This is really messed up. Yes, I didn't expect this
- 29:39Speaker 2: at all.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Oh well, I'm sorry. I'm sorry to break this to you,
- 29:43Speaker 1: but she's fucking lying.
- 29:44Speaker 2: What the frig.
- 29:47Speaker 1: I don't know what to do. What do you want
- 29:48Speaker 1: me to say?
- 29:49Speaker 2: Well? I keep carry on here, okay.
- 29:53Speaker 1: But the lies weren't enough to keep her in custody.
- 29:55Speaker 1: The police knew she was lying, and they were certain
- 29:57Speaker 1: of it. But Brittany is now like the one prime suspect.
- 30:01Speaker 1: There's no way of holding her. So they, you know,
- 30:03Speaker 1: they calmly understand this is a situation they don't let
- 30:07Speaker 1: Brittany be aware that they are figuring this out. Yeah,
- 30:13Speaker 1: so they let her go. Uh Now, I didn't know
- 30:17Speaker 1: where to put this in, and this is one of
- 30:20Speaker 1: the best places I think to put it in. There
- 30:23Speaker 1: was no ever evidence of either girl being raped, as
- 30:27Speaker 1: there was no semen found, just evidence of a sexual assault,
- 30:35Speaker 1: so said Wooden Coat Hanger. So there's no evidence of
- 30:41Speaker 1: ever there being a male presence in a sexual assault,
- 30:45Speaker 1: is what I'm trying to say here.
- 30:47Speaker 2: Oh okay, I didn't go there.
- 30:50Speaker 1: I could see that by your face.
- 30:52Speaker 2: I was like, okay, okay, I could see like.
- 30:54Speaker 1: The gears turning and nothing was happening. So anyways, there
- 30:58Speaker 1: was evidence of assault, but there's no evidence of seamen
- 31:01Speaker 1: aka dudes being president president in the sexual assault.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Really, okay, okay.
- 31:07Speaker 1: So police are trying to figure out how they could
- 31:09Speaker 1: get Britney back to the police station so they get
- 31:11Speaker 1: her to confess. They're like, we need to get her
- 31:14Speaker 1: back here. We need to get her to confess to
- 31:16Speaker 1: something that she's done. Otherwise, like, we don't have much
- 31:19Speaker 1: on her. We have her some evidence of her in
- 31:21Speaker 1: the fucking car and shit, and we know she's lying,
- 31:23Speaker 1: but we we got nothing.
- 31:25Speaker 2: I feel like, why would she confess though? So that's
- 31:27Speaker 2: a terrible plan.
- 31:28Speaker 1: But okay, yeah, So as they're trying to figure out
- 31:31Speaker 1: how to get her to the police station, luck should
- 31:34Speaker 1: have it, Britney's siblings call the police and they say
- 31:37Speaker 1: that Brittany has more information that she didn't tell the
- 31:41Speaker 1: police because she was afraid to share, and would like
- 31:44Speaker 1: to come back to the police station to talk about it.
- 31:46Speaker 2: That's interesting. Yeah, oh my goodness, we're her siblings in
- 31:51Speaker 2: on it too.
- 31:54Speaker 1: Oh okay, anyways, I'm gonna I'm gonna just stop that
- 31:59Speaker 1: conspiracy right now. No, they were not.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Okay, well, I mean this is wild, Like, who knows
- 32:05Speaker 2: what's going to happen next?
- 32:06Speaker 1: Well, you're about to find out. Anyways. Meeting again at
- 32:10Speaker 1: the police station, Brittany went to the station with her
- 32:12Speaker 1: brother and her sister, and then she told police that
- 32:16Speaker 1: she totally forgot but suddenly remembered that the two men
- 32:19Speaker 1: actually forced her to move Jane's car.
- 32:22Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, I would that's something that you.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Would just forget, right, like you totally just like, oh
- 32:26Speaker 1: slipped my mind if I forgot that, Yeah, oh my god, Like,
- 32:31Speaker 1: are you fucking kidding?
- 32:32Speaker 2: Me, I feel like that that's a pretty big thing
- 32:34Speaker 2: that would happen, or that you would just not forget.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Ever, so what she said is that the two men
- 32:39Speaker 1: told her they knew her name, they knew where she lived,
- 32:42Speaker 1: and they will be watching her and she needs to
- 32:45Speaker 1: move that car and if she tries anything when moving
- 32:48Speaker 1: the car, they will kill her. So she moved the
- 32:50Speaker 1: car alone while the two men waited at the store
- 32:53Speaker 1: with Jana, hold the fucking phone right, like what, Oh,
- 33:00Speaker 1: I'm just okay. The two guys holding me hostage are
- 33:03Speaker 1: gonna give me a getaway car and I'm gonna drive
- 33:06Speaker 1: three blocks away and walk back and put myself.
- 33:09Speaker 2: Back into their Like what, yeah, just free on my
- 33:12Speaker 2: free will just walk back right, not call the police
- 33:15Speaker 2: or do anything.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Makes zero sense, Yeah, zero fucking sense. Brittany also said
- 33:22Speaker 1: that she saw a police officer while moving the car,
- 33:25Speaker 1: but didn't say anything because she was afraid for her life,
- 33:29Speaker 1: so she didn't speak up and didn't ask for help.
- 33:31Speaker 2: Oh that that just like would be perfect.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, okay, but she did exactly what the
- 33:37Speaker 1: two men wanted, drove the car away life yeah, and
- 33:42Speaker 1: then walked back to the store, back into their hands. Okay,
- 33:45Speaker 1: Now police can actually confirm that there was an officer
- 33:48Speaker 1: that she saw because an officer actually saw her too,
- 33:52Speaker 1: sitting in that car parked where it was found. An
- 33:54Speaker 1: officer saw a woman parked in that car in that spot.
- 33:58Speaker 2: Okay, but I guess it wouldn't look suspicious or anything
- 34:00Speaker 2: to him at that point.
- 34:01Speaker 1: No, it's just a woman at a car.
- 34:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:03Speaker 1: Now he's like, oh wait, I saw that car and
- 34:04Speaker 1: I saw a woman sitting there once they found it,
- 34:06Speaker 1: right right, So there's some shit going down, and police
- 34:10Speaker 1: weren't buying anything that Brittany had, and so now they're like, hey,
- 34:14Speaker 1: this is fucked up. You are in her car, you
- 34:17Speaker 1: transferred the fucking blood. You are clearly lying, we're fucking
- 34:21Speaker 1: holding well, yeah.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Because she had prior to even said she didn't know
- 34:23Speaker 2: what the vehicle looked.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Like exactly, and that she's never even been in it
- 34:26Speaker 1: and anything, and now she's fucking driving it codd and
- 34:29Speaker 1: fucking Jane's blood.
- 34:30Speaker 2: Like what, Yeah, this is really getting fishy here.
- 34:34Speaker 1: So they tried to get her to confess using different
- 34:36Speaker 1: tactics like being playing like a good cop back cop
- 34:38Speaker 1: sort of thing, being like, we know you fucking did
- 34:40Speaker 1: it ra rah rah, like intimidating her and other tactics
- 34:43Speaker 1: like you know, it's okay, you know it happens like
- 34:46Speaker 1: something like shit happens. It was an accident, it's okay,
- 34:49Speaker 1: Like just tell us what happened. Nothing fucking worked. She's
- 34:52Speaker 1: stuck to her guns and she kept fucking saying I
- 34:55Speaker 1: didn't do it, I didn't do it. This is what happened.
- 34:58Speaker 1: I told you what happened.
- 35:00Speaker 2: I would have thought that she would have like have breaked,
- 35:03Speaker 2: break that broke. At that point, they would have broke her.
- 35:07Speaker 1: She would have done it, get broken.
- 35:10Speaker 2: I don't know how to say that.
- 35:14Speaker 1: The police decided that they're going to keep questioning her,
- 35:18Speaker 1: but they also decided that it was they're going to
- 35:20Speaker 1: tell her sister and brother what they suspect.
- 35:24Speaker 2: Of Brittany interesting, okay.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Britney's sister immediately like crumbled and couldn't fucking take it,
- 35:29Speaker 1: couldn't take the news basically right. And her brother was like,
- 35:32Speaker 1: I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I need
- 35:34Speaker 1: to talk to my sister. Give me a moment with
- 35:35Speaker 1: my sister alone. I want to talk to her.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Okay.
- 35:37Speaker 1: So the police actually allowed the brother into the interrogation
- 35:40Speaker 1: room alone with Brittany.
- 35:41Speaker 2: But they're listening.
- 35:42Speaker 1: I hope they definitely. Oh it's a fucking interrogation room.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Yeah right, Yeah, you can't go into an interrogation room
- 35:49Speaker 1: and not expect there to be fucking mikes and cameras
- 35:51Speaker 1: and shit.
- 35:52Speaker 2: Well, I mean, some people I think actually would probably
- 35:55Speaker 2: not clue in that they're listening.
- 35:56Speaker 1: These two don't.
- 35:57Speaker 2: Okay, see, I just like, I actually I don't think
- 36:00Speaker 2: that that's as common as you think. Then, well that
- 36:03Speaker 2: you were setting it up.
- 36:04Speaker 1: The brother began to talk with Britney, but she didn't
- 36:07Speaker 1: want to talk at all. She's leary that the police
- 36:09Speaker 1: were listening, and he's like, no, they're not listening, and
- 36:11Speaker 1: she's like, yeah, well probably not, but like just in case,
- 36:14Speaker 1: and anyways, they start talking regardless. It's a lot I
- 36:19Speaker 1: could find a lot of different quotes on things that
- 36:21Speaker 1: were said in there. A lot of it was just
- 36:23Speaker 1: banter back and forth. But the key thing here is
- 36:27Speaker 1: that basically this is a confession tape where there's little
- 36:31Speaker 1: bits of information that she gives here and there that
- 36:34Speaker 1: essentially write the whole story on what happened.
- 36:36Speaker 2: Really, yes, oh see, I'm just shocked because I think
- 36:41Speaker 2: it's common sense that you wouldn't say anything there. But
- 36:43Speaker 2: they say common sense, isn't it.
- 36:45Speaker 1: It's not. It's clearly not. But like her brother was
- 36:48Speaker 1: like he was actually convinced that she did do it.
- 36:52Speaker 1: He told the police that he was convinced that she didn't.
- 36:54Speaker 1: But when he got in there, he's like, I fucking
- 36:56Speaker 1: know you did this, Like what the fuck happened? He's
- 36:58Speaker 1: grilled in her heart trying to get the info. He's like,
- 37:00Speaker 1: we need I need to know what you did to
- 37:02Speaker 1: help you, right, Yeah, what he said. He's like, we're
- 37:04Speaker 1: going to get into a defense attorney and one of
- 37:06Speaker 1: the quotes I did pull up is, quote unquote, you're
- 37:08Speaker 1: going to have to be very honest with us. It
- 37:10Speaker 1: doesn't look good because you tried to cover it all up.
- 37:14Speaker 1: He also asked, shoplifting, is that what this is all about?
- 37:18Speaker 1: Brittany said, I didn't take anything. Another long story short,
- 37:22Speaker 1: Britney has a very very bad rap of shoplifting and theft. Really,
- 37:27Speaker 1: oh yes, She's actually even been fired from another Lululemon
- 37:32Speaker 1: previously for stealing from the store.
- 37:34Speaker 2: O fact, so they must not keep track of like
- 37:37Speaker 2: employees or something.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Ain't I guess not. But she stolen from friends in
- 37:41Speaker 1: the past, coworkers, sports team mate, sports teammates in high school.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Like she like people know, she fucking steals. She's even
- 37:49Speaker 1: had like a best friend in college who was like, yeah,
- 37:51Speaker 1: I was really good friends with her, and like, no,
- 37:52Speaker 1: I don't want anything to do with her because she's
- 37:54Speaker 1: just that fucked up and steals.
- 37:56Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I liked her at the beginning at all,
- 38:00Speaker 2: not even remotely.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Here, well, once we paint the entire picture, you might
- 38:05Speaker 1: learn just how bad she fucking is. We're getting to
- 38:09Speaker 1: it though. We're getting to it though.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Oh I already thought you'd painted it. But okay, carry on.
- 38:14Speaker 1: Well, we're like right there, give us like a minute
- 38:16Speaker 1: to just wrap this up before we're at that. So,
- 38:19Speaker 1: like I said, the conversation between these two essentially ends
- 38:22Speaker 1: up being the confession tape, the smoking gun that police
- 38:25Speaker 1: need it and this is what they they now know
- 38:28Speaker 1: Brittany did this so on trial, this is the picture
- 38:32Speaker 1: that they painted. This is what they believe happened. Okay
- 38:36Speaker 1: from all the evidence, the confessions and everything.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Okay, I want to hear it.
- 38:40Speaker 1: Are you ready for it?
- 38:41Speaker 2: Though? Yeah?
- 38:43Speaker 1: Okay, let's do it. I need a sip of beer first.
- 38:47Speaker 1: If we played ads, this would be a good time
- 38:49Speaker 1: for an ad. Okay. So while leaving the store, each
- 38:57Speaker 1: employee at the Lululemon is to check each other bags
- 39:00Speaker 1: to ensure there is no theft, okay, And inside Britney's bag,
- 39:04Speaker 1: Jana found a pair of yoga pants. Brittany claims she
- 39:08Speaker 1: purchased them from the manager, but Jaana made her call. Sorry,
- 39:12Speaker 1: made a call to the manager and asked her, did
- 39:15Speaker 1: Brittany buy these pants from me?
- 39:16Speaker 2: Yes?
- 39:17Speaker 1: No, she didn't, okay, So she looked it up in
- 39:20Speaker 1: the system. There was no record of any payment and
- 39:24Speaker 1: Brittany didn't have a receipt a k A. You fucking
- 39:27Speaker 1: stole them.
- 39:28Speaker 2: And this is probably like as they're locking up, that
- 39:31Speaker 2: they're that she's checking.
- 39:32Speaker 1: Yep.
- 39:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:34Speaker 1: So Jana reports it to the manager and just kind
- 39:36Speaker 1: of leaves it with that, and she's like, it's out
- 39:38Speaker 1: of my hands, like you're trying to steal shit. I'm
- 39:40Speaker 1: doing my job. I reported it that it is what
- 39:43Speaker 1: it is. Well, they'll deal with it tomorrow or another
- 39:47Speaker 1: day or whatever. So they leave the shop and lock up.
- 39:52Speaker 1: Then Brittany calls Jana back because she quote unquote forgets
- 39:56Speaker 1: her wallet as Jana has the key, because oh.
- 40:01Speaker 2: See, that even shows how much of a good person
- 40:03Speaker 2: she is. Right, this bitch just stole, but she's still
- 40:06Speaker 2: gonna go back and let her get her wallet. Geez.
- 40:10Speaker 1: Now, I totally call fucking bullshit on the forget her
- 40:13Speaker 1: wallet thing. In that interrogation tape with her brother, she say,
- 40:17Speaker 1: I actually forgot my wallet. I still call fucking bullshit
- 40:20Speaker 1: on it. Oh no, yeah, but I totally think this
- 40:25Speaker 1: is premeditated.
- 40:26Speaker 2: I think so too, or even in that time spend,
- 40:28Speaker 2: she was like, I need to get her back to
- 40:30Speaker 2: the store.
- 40:30Speaker 1: Oh exactly, that's premeditation right there.
- 40:32Speaker 2: True.
- 40:34Speaker 1: So Jana agrees and they returned fifteen minutes later to
- 40:38Speaker 1: re enter the store. Jana, inside the store was then
- 40:42Speaker 1: struck from behind on the back of the head, which
- 40:45Speaker 1: is where the first strike medical examiner believes took place
- 40:49Speaker 1: with a weapon, and a struggle ensued. Jana tried to
- 40:53Speaker 1: escape out the front door. As there was a bloody
- 40:55Speaker 1: handprint of hers on the front door and evidence of
- 40:58Speaker 1: a struggle, along with hair being ripped out from both
- 41:01Speaker 1: people at the front door. They believe Jana managed to
- 41:05Speaker 1: get free ran towards the back door, which was at
- 41:08Speaker 1: the end of a hallway. She had made it to
- 41:11Speaker 1: the door as there was another bloody handprint on that
- 41:14Speaker 1: door from her, okay, but she didn't manage to open
- 41:17Speaker 1: the door or escape. There in the hallway is where
- 41:21Speaker 1: the brutal and bloody attack occurred, using multiple weapons weapons
- 41:26Speaker 1: over the course of three hundred and thirty one strikes,
- 41:29Speaker 1: of which she was alive for every single geeze.
- 41:32Speaker 2: And is this just Brittany doing this? This?
- 41:34Speaker 1: This is just Brittany, you're kidding me?
- 41:37Speaker 2: Hey? Nope, okay, I thought there had to have been
- 41:39Speaker 2: at least someone else involved.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Nope.
- 41:42Speaker 2: Good lord.
- 41:43Speaker 1: Once she had killed Jana, she moved her car to
- 41:46Speaker 1: ensure no one saw it parked out front the store
- 41:48Speaker 1: to buy herself time to cover up this whole fucking incident.
- 41:52Speaker 1: She drove it three blocks away and walked back, bloody
- 41:55Speaker 1: as fuck to the store to get to work.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Wow.
- 42:02Speaker 1: There, she ransacked the store to make it look like
- 42:06Speaker 1: a robbery occurred, that there's more people in there. Whatever.
- 42:09Speaker 1: She walked around in the blood with her own shoes
- 42:12Speaker 1: to create a trail of bloody footprints, then put on
- 42:15Speaker 1: a pair of size fourteen men's shoes from the store,
- 42:18Speaker 1: carefully followed her own tracks around the store to make
- 42:21Speaker 1: it look like a pair of people.
- 42:22Speaker 2: We're chasing her or something.
- 42:24Speaker 1: Yeah, well no, because the first pair of her footprints
- 42:27Speaker 1: were just the other dudes she was gonna blame it on.
- 42:29Speaker 1: Oh so the size fourteen men's shoes was a second guy, remember,
- 42:33Speaker 1: a taller guy and a shorter guy, right, So she
- 42:36Speaker 1: made sure she followed the same pair to make it
- 42:38Speaker 1: look like the guys were walking around in a pair.
- 42:42Speaker 1: She then cleaned the shoes in the sink and put
- 42:44Speaker 1: the men's shoes back on the shelf and her own
- 42:46Speaker 1: back on her feet. How the fuck are you going
- 42:50Speaker 1: to cover up that? Like you think they're not going
- 42:51Speaker 1: to find that? Shit?
- 42:53Speaker 2: Really putting her own back on that right right?
- 42:56Speaker 1: Like, I just don't like, what, what the fuck is
- 42:59Speaker 1: this bitch thinking?
- 43:00Speaker 2: She was of some serious rage issues?
- 43:02Speaker 1: Oh fuck, yeah, there's actually I was waiting for a
- 43:06Speaker 1: good time to say it. Now is the best time.
- 43:09Speaker 1: There was an incident where she had an ex of hers,
- 43:13Speaker 1: a dentist dude or something like that. They split up
- 43:16Speaker 1: and he, you know, found a new girlfriend sort of thing.
- 43:18Speaker 1: And she actually was like fucking hardcore stalking these two.
- 43:21Speaker 2: Oh wow.
- 43:22Speaker 1: And she actually like broke into their apartment and stole
- 43:25Speaker 1: some shit out of there, and there was a restraining
- 43:27Speaker 1: order put on them. And only a few days after
- 43:30Speaker 1: the restraining order, they saw her parked in a fucking
- 43:33Speaker 1: car outside his dentist office, fucking watching them. They went,
- 43:36Speaker 1: they laughed. Immediately she followed them home and they had
- 43:40Speaker 1: to fucking called cops on her because she broke the
- 43:42Speaker 1: restraining order and was following them. They were fucking fearing
- 43:44Speaker 1: for their life. This dentist even said she had an
- 43:47Speaker 1: She was known for being abusive in the relationship, kicking, punching.
- 43:50Speaker 2: Really yeah, so she's a crazy she's fucking straight up psycho.
- 43:56Speaker 1: I wanted to say this at the very beginning, but
- 43:57Speaker 1: I mean, got to paint a good story.
- 43:59Speaker 2: Is she like a like I don't even know how
- 44:02Speaker 2: to say. This's not like big, but like.
- 44:05Speaker 1: Oh no, she's a very petite girl.
- 44:07Speaker 2: Okay, because I'm like, is she like freaking like six
- 44:09Speaker 2: or five? Like what kind of woman is.
- 44:10Speaker 1: She's a very petite girl?
- 44:12Speaker 2: Oh god, ysh Okay, that's interesting.
- 44:17Speaker 1: So after all this staging, the bloody foot prints and everything.
- 44:20Speaker 1: She ripped the crotch of her own pants, cut herself
- 44:24Speaker 1: with a razor and if yeah, cut herself with a
- 44:28Speaker 1: razor in several different places, superficial wounds because she's not
- 44:32Speaker 1: going to fucking go hardcore on herself, right Yeah, and
- 44:35Speaker 1: used a wooden coat hanger, a foreign object to sexually
- 44:38Speaker 1: assault herself and Jana.
- 44:40Speaker 2: Oh I was waiting for that. Oh so she did
- 44:42Speaker 2: it to Jana too.
- 44:44Speaker 1: I should actually clarify on that one. I'm assuming she
- 44:47Speaker 1: did it to Jana. I couldn't find any facts on
- 44:51Speaker 1: if she did or didn't, but I'm going to assume
- 44:54Speaker 1: she did, because if she's going to do it to herself,
- 44:56Speaker 1: I would assume she would do it to Jena probably
- 44:58Speaker 1: post mortem.
- 44:59Speaker 2: Was Jane smaller than her? Like, I just can't believe
- 45:02Speaker 2: how wild she is.
- 45:03Speaker 1: I think Jana was actually larger than she is.
- 45:06Speaker 2: She's drinking.
- 45:06Speaker 1: I've watched a YouTube video of Jana's where she was
- 45:09Speaker 1: celebrating her thirtieth birthday and she went bungee jumping. Actually
- 45:12Speaker 1: it's up on YouTube. Oh so maybe we'll post that
- 45:15Speaker 1: in the link down below.
- 45:17Speaker 2: So this just this chick is just a wild like
- 45:19Speaker 2: wild thing.
- 45:20Speaker 1: She's sucking trash. Fuck this bitch.
- 45:22Speaker 2: Jana had no idea like like she was just like
- 45:25Speaker 2: Jana was just doing that job hard completely.
- 45:27Speaker 1: Jana was actually not even supposed to be working with.
- 45:29Speaker 2: This and beyond her job. And she went back to
- 45:32Speaker 2: let this bitch in.
- 45:33Speaker 1: But did you hear me? Jana wasn't even supposed to
- 45:35Speaker 1: work that shift?
- 45:36Speaker 2: What did someone call him sick?
- 45:37Speaker 1: I don't know if it was calling sick or a
- 45:39Speaker 1: switch shift, but she had picked up this shift somehow
- 45:42Speaker 1: and she was working this shift, so she was just
- 45:44Speaker 1: put in the situation.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Stories like that, I'm sorry, like they could have been
- 45:49Speaker 2: doing something else and yet they are in this oh
- 45:52Speaker 2: like that, like they said, there in this position and
- 45:54Speaker 2: they couldn't didn't have to be like I hate that,
- 45:57Speaker 2: you mad bro. Well it's almost but I mean you'd
- 46:01Speaker 2: probably be able to come up with something like for
- 46:03Speaker 2: every murder or whatever, right too. Yeah, but it's always
- 46:06Speaker 2: like that. Oh, they were actually supposed to be here,
- 46:09Speaker 2: but this happened.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Yeah, So the final part to this, she then zip
- 46:13Speaker 1: tied her own hands together with zip tize she found
- 46:16Speaker 1: in the shop, just like all the weapons she found
- 46:18Speaker 1: in the in the Lulu Lemon store shop whatever, and
- 46:21Speaker 1: then sat down in the bathroom and waited for the
- 46:23Speaker 1: next manager to come in in the morning to find them.
- 46:27Speaker 1: And remember how I said her hands were found above
- 46:29Speaker 1: her head. Yeah, and that moan that they heard when
- 46:31Speaker 1: they first opened the shop. Yeah, that's her just playing victim.
- 46:34Speaker 2: Being pathetic, exactly. And she probably took everything at herself
- 46:38Speaker 2: then from the safe, yeah exactly, and sat there with
- 46:44Speaker 2: this poor, like brutally murdered person all night. Yeah, like
- 46:49Speaker 2: that psycho.
- 46:50Speaker 1: Oh fuck, it's beyond psycho.
- 46:52Speaker 2: That is psycho.
- 46:53Speaker 1: Britney's defense in court, this is actually kind of funny,
- 46:57Speaker 1: was only that it was not premeditated, because she was
- 47:00Speaker 1: so fucking deep in this they couldn't. That was their
- 47:02Speaker 1: only defense that it wasn't premeditated. They said that she snapped,
- 47:05Speaker 1: and that Brittany attacked Jaena in the heat of the
- 47:07Speaker 1: moment and lost control.
- 47:09Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I'm sure that's happened.
- 47:12Speaker 1: However, there's an account that after the trial, the judge
- 47:16Speaker 1: went home, took an object, sat at his dining room table,
- 47:20Speaker 1: and struck his dining room table three hundred and thirty
- 47:22Speaker 1: one times and timed himself how long it would take.
- 47:25Speaker 1: It took him ten minutes to complete the task, hitting
- 47:29Speaker 1: the table consecutively. Yet Britney got up, found other objects,
- 47:36Speaker 1: went back to it, got up, found something else, went
- 47:38Speaker 1: back to it. She was beating the fuck out of
- 47:41Speaker 1: Jana lifeless for god knows how long. How is that
- 47:46Speaker 1: in the heat of the moment.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Yeah, well, because when a victim has such so much
- 47:53Speaker 2: wounds and like stuff like that, the attackers has something
- 47:59Speaker 2: like then, oh yeah, right, that they're releasing, like get
- 48:04Speaker 2: some serious anger problem or something.
- 48:09Speaker 1: I don't give a shit. If you hate someone, you
- 48:10Speaker 1: don't fucking beat the shit out of them three hundred
- 48:12Speaker 1: and thirty one times till they die.
- 48:15Speaker 2: Like that's nuts, Right.
- 48:16Speaker 1: If you hate someone, you go home and scream into
- 48:18Speaker 1: your pillow and drink a couple fucking drinks and watch
- 48:22Speaker 1: a fucking murdered doc on Netflix, Like that's what you
- 48:25Speaker 1: do and hate someone.
- 48:26Speaker 2: Who was it that did the dining room thing?
- 48:29Speaker 1: The judge after your trials.
- 48:31Speaker 2: Okay, that's interesting, this poor dining room table.
- 48:35Speaker 1: Right, I'm sure he put like a jacket down or something, right, Yeah, Anyways,
- 48:40Speaker 1: Britney was found guilty for the murder of Jane and
- 48:42Speaker 1: Murray in the first degree with life in prison and
- 48:45Speaker 1: no chance of parole.
- 48:47Speaker 2: Good, good, good. So she's still in prison.
- 48:51Speaker 1: Oh she's fucking in prison for life.
- 48:53Speaker 2: Wow, she's she.
- 48:55Speaker 1: Deserves fucking a lot more, but she's at least getting that. Yeah,
- 49:00Speaker 1: so that is the Lulu.
- 49:02Speaker 2: I'm also still mad at the Apple store, right, how can.
- 49:05Speaker 1: You not fucking report that? Shit?
- 49:08Speaker 2: I can't believe that.
