So today we'll learn some Cantonese phrases for visiting a museum. Let's start with the word 'museum' itself. In Cantonese, it's 博物館. Luna: 博物館. That sounds like 'bok mat goon'. Let me try: 博物館. Lucas: That's it! 博物館. Good job. Now, when you go to a museum, you usually see an exhibition. The word for exhibition is 展覽. Luna: 展覽. Like 'jeen laam'. 展覽. Lucas: Exactly. 展覽. So you could say, 呢個博物館有個新展覽. That means 'This museum has a new exhibition.' Luna: 呢個博物館有個新展覽. Oh, I see. So you use 新 for 'new'. Cool. Lucas: Yep. Now, let's talk about the admission fee. That's 入場費. Luna: 入場費. 'Yap cheung fai'. 入場費. So if I want to ask how much, I'd say... 入場費幾多錢? Lucas: Perfect! 入場費幾多錢? That's 'How much is the admission fee?' Well done. Luna: Awesome. And what about the opening hours? I always need to check those. Lucas: Opening hours is 開放時間. 開放時間. Luna: 開放時間. 'Hoi fong si gaan'. 開放時間. Lucas: Right. You can ask 開放時間係幾點? 'What are the opening hours?' Luna: 開放時間係幾點? Good. So let's practice a little scene. We're at the museum entrance. Lucas: Okay. So I'll be the ticket seller. You come up and ask about the exhibition and the fee. Luna: 嗨, 我想問下呢個博物館有咩展覽? 'Hi, I want to ask what exhibitions this museum has?' Lucas: 哦, 我哋而家有書法展覽. 'Oh, we currently have a calligraphy exhibition.' Luna: 書法展覽? That sounds interesting. 咁入場費幾多錢呢? Lucas: 成人入場費係五十蚊. 'Adult admission is fifty dollars.' Luna: 五十蚊, okay. 開放時間係幾點到幾點呢? Lucas: 開放時間係朝早十點到下晝六點. 'Opening hours are 10am to 6pm.' Luna: 好, 唔該. 我買一張飛. 'Okay, thank you. I'll buy one ticket.' Good practice! I used all four phrases.
