- 0:07Have you been frustrated by the silver price?
- 0:11Wondering how you hear about all this demand coming for silver
- 0:15from industry, from investors even?
- 0:19But over the last few years, have you noticed something?
- 0:22The silver price seems to be relatively stagnant, especially
- 0:27over the last year or so. Feels like silver has been stuck
- 0:30between, I don't know, maybe $22.00 per oz and $26 per oz
- 0:37just fluctuates within that range.
- 0:39But we keep hearing about all this crazy demand for silver.
- 0:45We have an answer for you. I read a piece by a gentleman
- 0:49named Ted Butler that I think shines a big light as to why the
- 0:55silver price just isn't going anywhere when the fundamental
- 0:59laws of supply and demand would indicate otherwise.
- 1:04We should have what What do you think, $28.00 silver, $30
- 1:08silver? What Mr. Butler talks about is
- 1:12very important and I'm going to share it with you right now.
- 1:16If you're looking to buy gold, silver, or platinum, do yourself
- 1:20a favor and check out Pimbex, the online precious metals
- 1:24bullion dealer and sponsor of Rons Basement.
- 1:27I was a happy customer before they offered to support the
- 1:31channel. You'll find they have the best
- 1:33prices, quality and service. I think Pembex is best, and you
- 1:38will too. And be sure to tell him that
- 1:41you're from Ron's basement. While our numbers are growing,
- 1:44there just aren't a lot of a silver and gold investors.
- 1:48We got to stick together. So I want you to know it's a big
- 1:51deal to me. When you decide to spend time
- 1:54here in the basement, it's a big, big honor.
- 1:57I want you to come back. Please subscribe to the channel.

- 2:03You don't have to agree with me. You don't even have to like me.
- 2:07I just want you to be engaged. We want more and more people to
- 2:11get interested in the benefits of silver and gold because a lot
- 2:16of us have grown frustrated, especially with silver, over the
- 2:21last few years. Is the price ever going to go
- 2:24up? I know it's a great opportunity
- 2:27for us to buy more oz when the price is down, but a lot of us
- 2:31already have what we consider and maybe you're in the same
- 2:35boat, you have enough silver, you're ready for the price to go
- 2:39up and you hear constantly the demand for silver is going
- 2:42through the roof. Industrial demand for silver is
- 2:45going through the roof. Well, why isn't the price of
- 2:49silver yet reflecting that right now the silver mining industry
- 2:54produces let's say 800 million to 900 million oz a year.
- 2:59Mr. Ted Butler brought up a good point if I read what he said
- 3:03correctly. And that right now industrial
- 3:06demand is a pretty much accounting for all of the
- 3:10production that's coming from the silver mining industry.
- 3:14And we also know that the amount of silver being produced by the
- 3:19mining companies, it's actually going down.
- 3:23So we have industrial demand and mine output.
- 3:27Industrial demand is going up and up and up, OK.
- 3:33And mining output, according to the Silver Institute, is going
- 3:37down, down, down. That makes an imbalance which
- 3:41should result in a much higher price.
- 3:43That's not even factoring in investor demand.
- 3:48So how is it that demand can be up here, but supply down and
- 3:53they're moving in opposite directions.
- 3:55But the silver price just isn't moving.
- 3:58It's real simple. Mr. Butler pointed out that over
- 4:02the last three years, the amount of silver had held in the Comex
- 4:08inventories held in the big electronic exchange inventories
- 4:13in their warehouses is actually dropped by almost 400 million
- 4:18oz. That's where it's coming from.
- 4:21But the good news for a silver investors is that can't go on
- 4:26forever. Actually the inventories in
- 4:29those warehouses are getting precariously low.
- 4:32The amount of silver held in the SLVETF is going down, has gone
- 4:38down and also contributed to that 400 million oz number.
- 4:43Look, guys that can only be sustained for so long at some
- 4:48point. We hear it all the time,
- 4:51physical demand overwhelms the electronic market.
- 4:55At that point we will get true price discovery for silver.
- 5:00And many of us, well, we've been waiting for a while, haven't we?
- 5:04It has given us a great opportunity to acquire oz at a
- 5:09lower price. Fortuna Silver Mines is a global
- 5:12intermediate gold and silver producer.
- 5:15Since 2005, Fortuna's best in class management has delivered
- 5:20impressive growth and profits. Fortuna's solid financial
- 5:24position and operational expertise allows for performance
- 5:28in any precious metals price cycle and provides a foundation
- 5:33from which to harvest great profits in more favorable metals
- 5:37markets. Investing in Fortuna is an
- 5:39investment in quality, long term, sustainable production of
- 5:44in demand precious and base metals.
- 5:47But just looking at industrial demand alone in the coming 5 to
- 5:5310 years, the projections are overwhelming.
- 5:57Demand is on schedule to go up and up and up and up and supply
- 6:05from the mining sector down, down, down.
- 6:08We know there's big issues in Mexico, which provides 30% of
- 6:13the mine supply. We know anywhere you look in the
- 6:16world, silver is becoming increasingly more difficult to
- 6:22find. It's hard to find deposits.
- 6:24It's even harder to get the money to build mines, to get
- 6:28permits. From a supply perspective, we
- 6:32most likely, at least over the next 10 years, we'll see a
- 6:35further and further constriction.
- 6:39Because the reality is mining companies in the silver sector
- 6:43are starved for cash, starved for capital.
- 6:47They're barely making money right now, if they're making any
- 6:50money at all. It cost 20 or $22.00 to get an
- 6:53ounce of silver out of the ground.
- 6:55So there's no big investments being made into future
- 6:59production. Very few companies are exploring
- 7:02or developing new silver mines. So when the market does turn,
- 7:07here's the great news. OK, a couple big bonus features
- 7:11for you here. Number one, when the investors
- 7:14come back, that will be a whole new supply of demand for silver.
- 7:19But on the supply side, with the pipeline becoming drier and
- 7:25drier, less and less capital, they can't just turn a switch
- 7:29and turn silver mines on. It takes five, 1015 years to go
- 7:34through the exploration, development, permitting and then
- 7:40actually having a mine built and then you got to hope that the
- 7:44mine is successful. Hey, I know it's been hard times
- 7:48to be invested in the silver sector, but boy, when you take a
- 7:52step back, do you see what I see?
- 7:54I see a very rosy scenario as we look out over the coming 5 to
- 7:591020 years. And that's one thing about us
- 8:03silver investors, we are willing to wait, sit tight and know that
- 8:08we are right. Just my opinion, do your own due
- 8:11diligence. I appreciate you joining me here
- 8:14in the basement and I'm going to look forward to seeing you soon.
