- 0:00Speaker 1: We love to see that pure joy. Obviously, this is
- 0:02Speaker 1: a night you're never going to forget. You mentioned to
- 0:04Speaker 1: me on the bench that that was your first time
- 0:05Speaker 1: playing in overtime. As you've taken a second to kind
- 0:07Speaker 1: of decompress, what was the message in the room after
- 0:09Speaker 1: that game for yourself? And obviously, how do you feel?
- 0:11Speaker 2: I feel amazing. That wasn't like, so I scored in overtime,
- 0:16Speaker 2: like when it was in K-Chill, it was kind of
- 0:18Speaker 2: the same thing. Like I scored first goal the game
- 0:20Speaker 2: before and a second in overtime. But, I mean, I
- 0:23Speaker 2: didn't expect I was in overtime, to be honest. Like, thanks, Fooder,
- 0:27Speaker 2: to trust in me. Yeah. I mean, I was just
- 0:29Speaker 2: so happy when we scored a goal. That's all my
- 0:31Speaker 2: feelings right now.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Was there anything about that game that fueled you a
- 0:34Speaker 1: little extra or I guess the momentum that you were feeling?
- 0:38Speaker 1: What helped contribute to the success you had on the
- 0:40Speaker 1: ice tonight?
- 0:42Speaker 2: I have no idea. I have no idea. I mean,
- 0:46Speaker 2: we're kind of playing good the last games. Yeah, we
- 0:49Speaker 2: lost the last game against Seattle, but I can't say
- 0:51Speaker 2: we played bad. And I think I had chances the
- 0:54Speaker 2: last game. The boys had chances, and I think maybe
- 0:56Speaker 2: luck was on my side today. So I think that's
- 0:58Speaker 2: the key tonight.
- 0:59Speaker 1: And then just in terms of this group, obviously, the
- 1:01Speaker 1: comeback mentality we've seen so many times for this team.
- 1:04Speaker 1: What about a comeback or a resilient response after loss
- 1:08Speaker 1: have you seen from your group, especially this season?
- 1:10Speaker 2: I think that starts from the locker room, the energy
- 1:13Speaker 2: you have before a game and between the periods. I think, obviously,
- 1:17Speaker 2: character in the third period in overtime. That's the main thing.
- 1:20Speaker 2: I mean, I played in KHL, we won the championship,
- 1:23Speaker 2: and I just want to say character is the most
- 1:24Speaker 2: important thing.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Especially in that third period, what were some of the
- 1:27Speaker 1: details that you guys started executing on that let you
- 1:30Speaker 1: get back into the game and then win the game?
- 1:32Speaker 2: Everybody knows Tampa has a lot of skill, and they
- 1:36Speaker 2: like to cross high space and just put the puck
- 1:39Speaker 2: behind them and just go to forecheck because we have
- 1:41Speaker 2: a really good forecheck in this league. I think we're first,
- 1:43Speaker 2: and I think that was the key in the third period.
- 1:45Speaker 1: The Hayden line really stood out tonight. What did you
- 1:47Speaker 1: see out of them?
- 1:48Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, I mean, thanks, Hayes, for this play. I
- 1:51Speaker 2: don't play by him. They played good tonight. You scored
- 1:54Speaker 2: your first and then you scored the OT winner. Which
- 1:56Speaker 2: one's your favorite at this point? It's hard to say.
- 1:59Speaker 2: I mean, both. I can pick one. Just both of them.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Now that your first two goals are out of the way,
- 2:06Speaker 2: is this the start of the offensive Dmitry Simashev in
- 2:09Speaker 2: the NHL? We'll see. I don't have thoughts before a game. Oh, sorry.
- 2:17Speaker 2: I need to score a goal. I need to do assists.
- 2:20Speaker 2: I'm just playing. It's footed. Tell me on the bench.
- 2:23Speaker 2: I'm just doing it. Thanks, Timba. Thank you. Thank you, guys. Congratulations.
