- 0:00Speaker 1: Some behind-the-scenes stuff. Rich blew out his knee.
- 0:02Speaker 2: He's home in his basement doing the show from his
- 0:05Speaker 2: basement with crutches behind him.
- 0:08Speaker 1: So we're going to get to some entertainment news. Kyle
- 0:10Speaker 1: and Peyton, what do you guys have? What's going on?
- 0:12Speaker 3: Dolly Parton passing was shocking news for the world, right?
- 0:17Speaker 3: It rocked the world. Since then, everyone's been doing tributes
- 0:20Speaker 3: to Dolly Parton. But this one, I don't think anybody
- 0:22Speaker 3: expected to see this one. Right outside of Buckingham Palace.
- 0:26Speaker 3: palace the changing of the guard they had literally all
- 0:30Speaker 3: of the royal uh musicians come out and do nine
- 0:33Speaker 3: to five.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Buckingham nine to five.
- 0:49Speaker 3: That's so cool. I was like, it was because when
- 0:53Speaker 3: we very first talked about it, Peyton was like nine
- 0:54Speaker 3: to five, nine to five, nine to five. And I'm like,
- 0:56Speaker 3: even the royal family wanted nine to five. And they
- 1:00Speaker 3: gave it to us. Ariana Grande, she's doing, speaking about London,
- 1:04Speaker 3: she's actually got a residency in London right now. And
- 1:07Speaker 3: there's a little bit of a mixed bag about what
- 1:10Speaker 3: she asked fans to do the other night at her concert. Okay,
- 1:24Speaker 3: so all these fans going nuts because they're here to
- 1:26Speaker 3: see Ariana Grande. They want to cheer for her and
- 1:28Speaker 3: she's like, I just need complete silence. So what's happening
- 1:31Speaker 3: is she's actually doing something really cool that artists have
- 1:33Speaker 3: been doing. Like Ed Sheeran has done this before. They
- 1:35Speaker 3: do a loop where she sings a line and then
- 1:37Speaker 3: it loops and then she sings over herself again and
- 1:40Speaker 3: then it loops and then she sings over essentially creating
- 1:43Speaker 3: her own harmony.
- 1:45Speaker 4: I don't care what people say is true, say is
- 1:52Speaker 4: true I don't care what people say is true, say
- 2:04Speaker 4: is true.
- 2:14Speaker 3: It's kind of cool, right?
- 2:15Speaker 1: Wow, that's cool.
- 2:16Speaker 3: But even that was 30 seconds and it felt kind
- 2:18Speaker 3: of long. And she did 90 seconds of that. And
- 2:21Speaker 3: this is where I say there's a little bit of
- 2:23Speaker 3: a mixed band bag because some fans are actually mad.
- 2:27Speaker 3: How dare she ask us to be quiet for 90
- 2:30Speaker 3: seconds during her show. So now there's this whole debate
- 2:33Speaker 3: online about like, is that okay for her to do
- 2:35Speaker 3: or not okay? I'm like, it's her show, dude. And
- 2:38Speaker 3: the cool thing was, is that everyone there actually was quiet.
- 2:42Speaker 5: And that's awesome because I remember when Billie Eilish was
- 2:44Speaker 5: here and she did that loop thing and people were
- 2:47Speaker 5: screaming in the middle and she got really, really frustrated.
- 2:49Speaker 3: And I mean, it's a whole other form of their artistry.
- 2:51Speaker 5: So, I mean, if you're, if you're at an Ariana
- 2:54Speaker 5: Grande concert, she's asking you to be quiet for 90 seconds.
- 2:57Speaker 5: I think you should probably do it. Anyway, the iHeartRadio
- 2:59Speaker 5: Music Festival is bringing back the free interactive House of
- 3:02Speaker 5: Music experience. It's going to be right outside the T-Mobile
- 3:05Speaker 5: Arena during the festival on September 18th and the 19th.
- 3:08Speaker 3: The room lineup is insane.
- 3:11Speaker 5: So fans can jump into an interactive swim pool inside
- 3:14Speaker 5: the BTS room. You can step straight onto the set
- 3:17Speaker 5: of Cardi B's Little Miss Drama Tour. You can grab
- 3:19Speaker 5: a personalized postcard at Kenny Chesney's Marina or even hit
- 3:23Speaker 5: up Zara Larsson's Swedish Summer Gas Station Takeaway.
- 3:25Speaker 1: It's a pretty advanced thing. It's pretty cool. No one
- 3:27Speaker 1: else does it.
- 3:28Speaker 3: It looks so awesome. Like Hyundai is the one sponsoring it. So,
- 3:31Speaker 3: and they, I don't know, they had to fork over
- 3:34Speaker 3: like an amazing amount because they look like so incredible.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Like this is the most Instagrammable moment in Vegas you're
- 3:40Speaker 3: going to have that weekend, which is really, really cool.
- 3:42Speaker 5: It's going to be epic.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Epic also jay-z somewhat pretty epic they actually filmed an
- 3:47Speaker 3: eight episode sit down of jay-z with legendary producer rick
- 3:52Speaker 3: rubin for a new hbo max series and apparently the
- 3:56Speaker 3: entire show is literally just the two of them talking.
- 3:59Speaker 4: I imagine allow me to reintroduce myself my name is
- 4:04Speaker 4: Round nine is when I caught the bug, like being obsessed.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I would write every day. That feeling of that underdog,
- 4:11Speaker 1: that's why people was listening. That's why it hit them somewhere.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Very similar to me when I saw that clip yesterday.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Around nine, I caught the bug too, but it was chickenpox.
- 4:21Speaker 1: No.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Okay. All right, John Day. The trailer is out now
- 4:25Speaker 3: if you want to do like Joan did and watch it.
- 4:28Speaker 3: But the show will actually, or the series, will premiere
- 4:31Speaker 3: September 18th. So I don't know about you guys, but
- 4:34Speaker 3: I have been really looking forward to tomorrow for quite
- 4:36Speaker 3: some time because Alex Warren's new album, Wild Child.
- 4:39Speaker 5: Comes out.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Super excited about that. I know it's like I'm ready
- 4:43Speaker 3: for the whole thing, but he's been doing little teasers
- 4:45Speaker 3: of songs off the album from here and there. And
- 4:47Speaker 3: yesterday he shared a video saying that his dad, who
- 4:51Speaker 3: is is passed away, his dad has moved on to
- 4:53Speaker 3: the heavens. And he said his dad's favorite artist was
- 4:58Speaker 3: John Mayer. And on his new album, he got the
- 5:01Speaker 3: two of them on the record together. And he plays
- 5:04Speaker 3: a piece of a video of his dad and the
- 5:06Speaker 3: part of John Mayer's part of his song. I'm so
- 5:18Speaker 3: excited to see this because Alex Warren, he's got a
- 5:20Speaker 3: lot of songs about his parents that have both passed on.
- 5:23Speaker 3: And he's been very open about how, like, he will
- 5:26Speaker 3: never stop grieving his parents. Of course not. And even
- 5:28Speaker 3: in the middle of his concert, he got very emotional
- 5:31Speaker 3: singing one of those songs that was to his parents.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Is there a story how they died or anything? Because
- 5:36Speaker 1: he's young.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Yeah, his dad died really young and then his mom
- 5:38Speaker 3: was an alcoholic and then she passed away.
- 5:40Speaker 1: A little bit later on.
- 5:41Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:41Speaker 3: So it's his story is it's it's really sad.
- 5:45Speaker 2: But is that why it was the Little Orphan Alex tour?
- 5:48Speaker 3: Because originally that's what the name of the tour was.
- 5:50Speaker 1: And then eventually at some point it changed. But yeah,
- 5:52Speaker 1: I didn't know that.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:53Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:54Speaker 3: He's got a I mean, he's got a really fascinating story.
- 5:56Speaker 3: And I mean, at one point he was homeless living
- 5:58Speaker 3: in his car and now he's Alex Warren. Yeah. And
- 6:00Speaker 3: he met his wife while he was homeless. And so
- 6:03Speaker 3: everybody loves Cobra. Anyways, the whole thing.
- 6:05Speaker 1: What's her name? Cobra?
- 6:06Speaker 5: Cobra.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Oh, Cobra. Yeah.
- 6:07Speaker 4: Wow.
- 6:08Speaker 3: I'm so excited about tomorrow.
- 6:09Speaker 1: You are a fan. You are a fan of Alex.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I don't know of any celebrities that I know that
- 6:15Speaker 1: much dish about him. That's pretty cool.
- 6:18Speaker 3: He's very open about it. I think it helps a
- 6:19Speaker 3: lot of people.
- 6:20Speaker 4: For sure.
- 6:21Speaker 5: Katelyn Clark, she is dropping a Taylor Swift-inspired colorway for
- 6:24Speaker 5: her upcoming signature Nike Katelyn one-line.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Oh, my God. That's smart.
- 6:28Speaker 5: So genius.
- 6:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:29Speaker 5: So it's going to have, like, a colorful— it' s going to
- 6:30Speaker 5: be the friendship bracelet sneakers. It has, like, a gradient design.
- 6:34Speaker 5: And on the laces, there's, like, actual beads that are
- 6:37Speaker 5: kind of, like, woven in.
- 6:38Speaker 4: Oh, wow.
- 6:38Speaker 1: I get those. Yeah.
- 6:39Speaker 5: And it's basically honoring the heiress sort. Katelyn, she— I mean,
- 6:42Speaker 5: she has admitted that she is a Swiftie.
- 6:43Speaker 3: She's a Swiftie.
- 6:44Speaker 1: You know what? It's pretty smart because I think the
- 6:46Speaker 1: shoe game has been dying a lot. There's no hype
- 6:48Speaker 1: like it used to be two years ago.
- 6:49Speaker 5: Because, well, you have, like, the Kobe's, and then you
- 6:51Speaker 5: have the Sabrina's, and then now, you know, you have
- 6:53Speaker 5: the Asia's. And so, Caitlyn's trying to make her way
- 6:55Speaker 5: in there. But, yeah, Taylor Swift, she, like, completely approved
- 6:57Speaker 5: the shoes, and they're set to drop to the public
- 7:00Speaker 5: in October.
- 7:00Speaker 1: That's going to be huge. And Taylor approved it, too.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Do you have a picture of them?
- 7:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Oh, you got to post it.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Yeah, they're really cool.
- 7:05Speaker 5: They're, like, cream, and they, like, gradient into, like.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Cream? That's my color. Yeah, they are.
- 7:10Speaker 5: And they're, like, kind of, like... distressed a little bit there.
- 7:14Speaker 5: I actually saw them and I was like, these are
- 7:16Speaker 5: pretty dope.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Can they be casual? They have to be basketball shoes.
- 7:19Speaker 5: I mean, you can probably wear them casual, but I'm
- 7:23Speaker 5: definitely rocking them on the court.
- 7:24Speaker 3: People wear basketball shoes just out and about anyway.
- 7:27Speaker 2: No, I know, but when you see like, I remember
- 7:29Speaker 2: when I saw somebody wearing Grinch's in a restaurant.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Yeah, that's odd.
- 7:32Speaker 1: I was like, whoa, that's a basketball shoe. What are
- 7:35Speaker 1: you doing? That's a $ 300 shoe.
- 7:36Speaker 5: A lot of people wear the books as like outdoor
- 7:38Speaker 5: shoes and.
- 7:38Speaker 3: I'm like, I don't I think they look weird.
- 7:41Speaker 2: The thing about the books is I thought those were
- 7:43Speaker 2: going to take the place of Air Force Ones as
- 7:45Speaker 2: an everyday shoe.
- 7:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:46Speaker 1: But they run a little too tight for it. Oh,
- 7:48Speaker 1: those are cool. Yeah.
- 7:50Speaker 3: They're pretty dope. I think they could pretty much be
- 7:51Speaker 3: worn as tennis shoes.
- 7:52Speaker 1: What if they make me run faster?
- 7:53Speaker 5: Probably. Probably make you shoot better.
- 7:56Speaker 3: John Jay, I know you're a fan of Landman.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Love Landman.
- 7:59Speaker 3: Not some great news for you.
- 8:01Speaker 5: Oh, no.
- 8:02Speaker 4: What?
- 8:02Speaker 3: So when it comes to season three, I know all
- 8:05Speaker 3: of us are ready for it.
- 8:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:06Speaker 4: Right?
- 8:07Speaker 3: It's not going to come out until sometime in 2027.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Oh, really?
- 8:11Speaker 4: I know.
- 8:12Speaker 3: And I feel like by then we're going to forget
- 8:13Speaker 3: about everything that happened. That's because that Taylor Sheridan needs
- 8:17Speaker 3: to slow down on the shows.
- 8:18Speaker 1: He's got too many he's writing. Just stick to the
- 8:20Speaker 1: ones we like. We like Landman and we like Linus
- 8:22Speaker 1: right now.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:24Speaker 1: And yeah, that's great, man. And I like the Madison.
- 8:26Speaker 3: But season three is still coming. Oh, God, we lost him.
- 8:29Speaker 3: We lost you again.
- 8:31Speaker 1: This song is on my workout playlist. I'm on the
- 8:35Speaker 1: treadmill doing this song.
