  Speaker 1: And before the prophet went too far, the same God

  Speaker 1: who gave him the message of debt to declare, told

  Speaker 1: some examples but I want to give you another example

  Speaker 1: that will help you. And I want you to see

  Speaker 1: is The deeper you are into God, it determines a

  Speaker 1: lot of things. The more external proof you have for

  Speaker 1: your depth in God. You know, according to the first king,

  Speaker 1: I think maybe 1030 or 930 or so, he says

  Speaker 1: that the remnant, you know, shall take root downward and

  Speaker 1: then they shall bear fruit upward. So the first part
• 4:45
  Speaker 1: is to take root what? Downward. Into God. Intimacy into God.

  Speaker 1: Now look at this scripture. And Jesus and the disciples.

  Speaker 1: Continued on their way. You can give us NKJV. Jesus

  Speaker 1: and disciples. Continued on their way. So that we can easily.

  Speaker 1: Look at it. Now it happened as they went. That
• 5:10
  Speaker 1: he entered a certain village. And a certain woman. Named Martha.

  Speaker 1: Welcomed him into God. our house. Now, I want you

  Speaker 1: to take note of everything I say. Because every statement

  Speaker 1: will be very important. A certain village, a certain woman

  Speaker 1: named what? Marta. Somebody say Marta. Now, I want to

  Speaker 1: feet and heard his word. Listen. So sitting at Jesus'

  Speaker 1: it said, but Martha was distracted with much serving, and

  Speaker 1: she approached him and said, Lord, do you not care

  Speaker 1: that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore,

  Speaker 1: tell her to help me. Now, I'm going to read

  Speaker 1: it all through, and then we'll get back. Yes, verse 41.

  Speaker 1: you are worried and troubled about many things. Then let's

  Speaker 1: take one more verse. I think that's the last part.

  Speaker 1: You are worried, yes? But one thing is needed. Our

  Speaker 1: Mary has chosen that good path, which will not be

  Speaker 1: I want to explain some things now. You see, in ministry,

  Speaker 1: there are matter people and there are merely people. So

  Speaker 1: I want us to understand the difference. In ministry, all

  Speaker 1: of us are serving, but that same service, you know,

  Speaker 1: ministry is service. Meeting the needs of the people. That's
• 7:55
  Speaker 1: what we talked about in the morning. That you must
• 8:00
  Speaker 1: minister the gospel in the context of the need of
• 8:05
  Speaker 1: the people. Do you understand that? Most of the time,
• 8:09
  Speaker 1: sometimes we teach, we preach, in the high standing words,
• 8:12
  Speaker 1: we just speak over the heads of the people. Ministry
• 8:15
  Speaker 1: must be done within the context of the people, the
• 8:18
  Speaker 1: need of the people. I hope that is clear. If
• 8:21
  Speaker 1: I had a man of God who used to carry
• 8:23
  Speaker 1: the prayer request of people, take it to God in prayer,
• 8:27
  Speaker 1: go through some of those prayers, requests, and pray on them,
• 8:31
  Speaker 1: and ask God for wisdom to teach the wisdom that
• 8:35
  Speaker 1: will help people to solve the problem. Are you getting
• 8:39
  Speaker 1: what I'm saying? So ministry is effective when it is
• 8:43
  Speaker 1: done within the context of the need of the people.
• 8:48
  Speaker 1: I want you to be very observant and be open.
• 8:49
  Speaker 1: Because there's something I believe God wants to do in
• 8:51
  Speaker 1: this meeting. Praise the Lord. Now, look at it. Now
• 8:56
  Speaker 1: while they were on their way, it occurred that Jesus
• 8:58
  Speaker 1: entered a certain village and a woman named Martha received
• 9:02
  Speaker 1: and welcomed him into her house. Now you know Martha, Mary,
• 9:05
  Speaker 1: and Lazarus. Do you know they are connected? Do you

  Speaker 1: know they are like sisters? So, Martha is the eldest
• 9:13
  Speaker 1: sister to Mary. And I also believe that Lazarus is

  Speaker 1: younger sister. Who seated herself at the Lord's feet and

  Speaker 1: was listening to the teaching. So one of the things

  Speaker 1: you do in intimacy is that you listen. You don't speak.

  Speaker 1: Our prayers is full of speaking. We don't allow God
• 9:42
  Speaker 1: to speak. Or when we allow God to speak, we
• 9:46
  Speaker 1: are not hearing what God... See, let me tell you something.
• 9:50
  Speaker 1: Attention to God is never completed without you listening. Look
• 9:55
  Speaker 1: at your neighbor and say, listen. Say it louder. Say, listen.

  Speaker 1: You know somebody who is distracted. If somebody is talking
• 10:01
  Speaker 1: to you, probably you are pressing phone. I mean, if
• 10:04
  Speaker 1: the person you are talking to is distracted by any
• 10:06
  Speaker 1: other thing, you know that. You know, that person is distracted.
• 10:09
  Speaker 1: Are you getting what I'm saying? So some of these
• 10:11
  Speaker 1: things happen when we relate with God. There are too
• 10:14
  Speaker 1: many things that distract us. It's not just phone. It's
• 10:17
  Speaker 1: not just social media. There are friendships that distract us.
• 10:21
  Speaker 1: Associations that distract us. I mean, opportunities that distract us.
• 10:25
  Speaker 1: Even miracles that distract us. Are you getting what I'm saying?
• 10:28
  Speaker 1: Things that we really need that God provided now become
• 10:32
  Speaker 1: subjects or an object of distraction. If you are still
• 10:35
  Speaker 1: here with me, can you say amen? So Bible says,
• 10:38
  Speaker 1: do you know that in Amplified verse it says, but
• 10:42
  Speaker 1: Martha overly occupied and too busy. Go to the previous scripture.
• 10:48
  Speaker 1: You will know that the two of them were used
• 10:51
  Speaker 1: to listening to Christ. Because the KJV we read the
• 10:56
  Speaker 1: other time, or the NLT, look at what it says.

  Speaker 1: Who seated herself at the Lord's feet and was listening
• 11:02
  Speaker 1: to his teaching? If you check the NKJV, it said,

  Speaker 1: who also? Give us the NKJV. NKJV of that verse 39.

  Speaker 1: Before we move to verse 40. Look at what NKJV says.

  Speaker 1: And she had a sister called Mary, who what? Also

  Speaker 1: sat at Jesus' feet and her disciples. So that means

  Speaker 1: it was their custom to sit at Jesus' feet. So

  Speaker 1: that means Martha was also sitting at Jesus' feet. Because
• 11:27
  Speaker 1: the scripture used who also sat at Jesus' feet. Praise
• 11:32
  Speaker 1: the Lord. You know the scripture says that I am
• 11:36
  Speaker 1: at the door, I knock. Whoever opens his heart, I
• 11:39

• 11:41
  Speaker 1: will wine and dine with him. Praise the Lord. And

  Speaker 1: intimacy is in different levels. Imagine you have a four

  Speaker 1: bedroom flat. Or you have a duplex. And Jesus comes

  Speaker 1: into your sitting room and he stops there. You can
• 11:53
  Speaker 1: actually stop him there. There are relationships that stop at
• 11:56
  Speaker 1: the sitting room. I hope you know that. There are
• 11:58
  Speaker 1: relationships that stop at the door. Especially for those who
• 12:01
  Speaker 1: are dispatchers. In fact, at the gates. Do you remember?
• 12:05
  Speaker 1: At the gates. So, some people will come in, it's
• 12:07
  Speaker 1: at the door. Some people will come in, it's at
• 12:09

  Speaker 1: your privacy. Christ must, everything must be handed over to him.

  Speaker 1: Christ downstairs and be staying alone. So you just, all

  Speaker 1: occurs to me that you can do so much in

  Speaker 1: ministry whereas god has not sent you are you still

  Speaker 1: are you still listen yes are you filled with the

  Speaker 1: spirit yes are you anointed yes but you are just

  Speaker 1: full of activities Look at it. He said, much has

  Speaker 1: distracted with much of it. And she came up to

  Speaker 1: him and said, Lord, is it nothing to you that

  Speaker 1: my sister has left me to serve alone? Do you know?

  Speaker 1: Do you know? People that are envious, people that, can
• 14:50
  Speaker 1: you see the way she came up? She went to
• 14:53
  Speaker 1: accuse God first. It's amazing how people that don't really
• 14:59
  Speaker 1: have that depth of intimacy with God can be easily envious.

  Speaker 1: Our people that don't really have that depth of intimacy
• 15:06
  Speaker 1: with God can be easily offended. Our people that don't
• 15:09
  Speaker 1: really have that depth of intimacy with God, if you
• 15:12
  Speaker 1: are listening to God, you will lower the volume of men,
• 15:16
  Speaker 1: the voice of men. Are you getting what I'm saying?
• 15:20
  Speaker 1: You will not be carried away by activities. You know,
• 15:23
  Speaker 1: sometimes that we are carrying out activities does not mean
• 15:28
  Speaker 1: that it's actually our true stewardship. That is the truth.

  Speaker 1: Look at this scripture. It says, was distracted with much serving.

  Speaker 1: I even like the word distraction. So ministry can distract
• 15:41
  Speaker 1: you from God. You can love the ministry more than God.

  Speaker 1: You can love the ministry more than the owner of
• 15:47
  Speaker 1: the ministry. You are trying to be more Catholic than
• 15:50
  Speaker 1: the Pope. Praise God. That is what it means. In

  Speaker 1: most cases, people have not taken instruction at Jesus' feet.

  Speaker 1: They will go about doing things by their own personal
• 15:59
  Speaker 1: philosophies and ideology. The way you just think things should

  Speaker 1: be wrong. The way they just think that, you know,
• 16:05
  Speaker 1: I mean, when they see other people organizing a program,

  Speaker 1: they want to do it. They find it very easy
• 16:10
  Speaker 1: to copy. They find it very easy to, do you understand?

  Speaker 1: You can learn from other ministries. You can appreciate other ministries.
• 16:16
  Speaker 1: You can be provoked to good works by other ministries.
• 16:19
  Speaker 1: But you should not be envious of other ministries. You
• 16:22
  Speaker 1: should not be offended at other ministries. You should not,
• 16:25
  Speaker 1: you know, copy other ministries. You must operate on your
• 16:29
  Speaker 1: own unique template. If you hear me, can you say amen?
