- 0:02Warning the following show features language, opinions, and zero fucks performed by dysfunctional veterans. Do not try this in public.
- 0:13Well, I think Uncle Sam took more than just his pound of flesh out of me last week.
- 0:17I've never wanted to punch other people's children so hard in my entire life.
- 0:20Every single one of those fuckers was a retired sergeant major.
- 0:23He could have just said "retards."
- 0:25He's retarded, what?
- 0:26And if you just need the tip, because of that.
- 0:28He doesn't need any bigger heads.
- 0:29What was his name?
- 0:30Fuck it all right now.
- 0:31I'm going to bring my own crew of dumb motherfuckers with me.
- 0:33The fact that you know all these different types and colors of the weenies is kind of scary.
- 0:37I can go down some fucking rabbit holes with this shit.
- 0:39It's okay because he's retired.
- 0:41Then a meth-head will look at you like you nasty mother fucker.
- 0:43Getting catcalled by crackheads all week.
- 0:45It's forever in the intro.
- 0:47Let me listen to these assholes because they're dumb.
- 0:49My audacity gets way worse in this story.
- 0:51Bender you can fucking suck it.
- 0:53I think it's best for me to end it here.
- 0:54Fall asleep on air, I'll never live that down either.
- 0:55Did you have fun?
- 0:56I did.
- 0:57I had fun.
- 0:58I call that white girl wasted.
- 0:59Everybody wants to be a fucking comedian.
- 1:00You're tuned in to WDVR on DVRadio.net.
- 1:04Because this is how it is on DVRadio.
- 1:07That is how it is right on WDVR DVRadio.net.
- 1:11It's Barrick's Talk Live.
- 1:13You're listening to us on one of the many major podcast platforms or Twitch or Rumble or X.
- 1:19It is September 5th, 2026.
- 1:25I'm Boulderwood, I don't know if I said that, but tonight from the great state of Alaska.
- 1:32It's none other than our pig man himself, Mr. Oink.
- 1:37That's right.
- 1:38We back with a plan.
- 1:39I don't know what the plan is yet because it's top secret and they don't tell me shit.
- 1:43Hey, they don't tell me shit either.
- 1:46On DVRadio people fucking suck, man.
- 1:48I know, right?
- 1:49Ask AI about you and you don't get any response.
- 1:52At least it wasn't a bad one.
- 1:53I mean, fucking pieces of shit.
- 1:58Let's see.
- 2:01Over here in my neck of the woods, he loves his wood.
- 2:06Go check him out at WataiWoodTurning.com.
- 2:10He is the PTS dog himself, Joaquin Watai.
- 2:14It is Mr. JJ.
- 2:17Have I been on since I took some hardwood to the face?
- 2:21No.
- 2:22Oh, we'll have to talk about that.
- 2:23We'll have to tell that story tonight.
- 2:25Taking wood to the face.
- 2:26I did.
- 2:27It was not pretty at all.
- 2:30It wasn't pretty enough.
- 2:32It ended nicely, but it wasn't pretty.
- 2:34Something tells me that definitely ain't the first time.
- 2:37It won't be the last.
- 2:38Right.
- 2:40And from the land of mass and ass, it's the Mexican wannabe himself,
- 2:44Mr. Christopher Santos.
- 2:46What's up, man?
- 2:47I'm still kind of out of breath.
- 2:48I keep running down the stairs trying to make it for the show.
- 2:51You, I was trying to pull you in as I'm pressing buttons on my left side.
- 2:55I'm trying to use my right hand and watch the screen and watch my road duo.
- 2:59I'm like, Jesus, this motherfucker is going to start hitting me up on
- 3:02Zoom here in a second.
- 3:03I was so excited when I pulled up at my son's work and seeing him
- 3:06standing outside.
- 3:07I was like, yes, he's going to be on time.
- 3:08I'll make it.
- 3:12That's sad.
- 3:13That makes my heart hurt that you were excited about coming up.
- 3:18This is the highlight of your week, bro.
- 3:20I'm so sorry for you.
- 3:23Oh, my God.
- 3:24I've got much going on.
- 3:27It's starting to get colder.
- 3:28He's staying inside too.
- 3:32Oh, damn.
- 3:33Yeah.
- 3:34So hopefully the show doesn't give out during this hour because
- 3:39North Carolina has been just fucking pummeled with storms since this
- 3:43morning woke me up with the fucking house fucking moving and shit like a
- 3:47damn weight came by all I could think about was please don't let the power
- 3:51go out because for those that don't know, it's been fucking humid as a
- 3:55motherfucking crack whore and goddamn fucking swamps of Georgia.
- 4:00Holy fucking shit ass dude.
- 4:02And when the air goes off, you got about 10 minutes before that shit goes
- 4:07up five fucking degrees and I ain't even joking.
- 4:11Yeah, it's been.
- 4:12It's been fucking rough.
- 4:13Yeah, it's been the humidity for the past week has been, it's been above
- 4:1850% every day.
- 4:20Yeah, I don't remember.
- 4:21It's been in the nineties every day on my end.
- 4:24I don't remember it getting below 62%.
- 4:27That's how bad the humidity has been up here.
- 4:29So yeah, I think it's, I think it's been in the sixties for the most part.
- 4:32It was 80% this morning.
- 4:34I've looking at 74% right now.
- 4:37And it is 8 0 6 PM on the East coast.
- 4:41Uh, today's high was 92.
- 4:44So it was 96 down here with a real field of like 107.
- 4:48Yeah.
- 4:49Yeah.
- 4:50I was out at it.
- 4:51I don't know why on earth I decided that I was going to go out in it, but
- 4:55holy shit, man, the seats in my truck are air conditioned.
- 5:00Yeah.
- 5:01Where everybody thinks, you know, I live here at the foot of the mountains
- 5:04and all it's, it should be nice and cool and blah, blah, blah.
- 5:07And I'm like, yeah, I know what happened until you hit like Galax, man.
- 5:11Like you don't feel that fresh, cool air until then.
- 5:14And then what makes it worse is we've got a lot of creeks and rivers
- 5:17and lakes and ponds around here.
- 5:19And that makes the humidity even worse.
- 5:22So.
- 5:23I do have to say, uh, at the bottom of my neighborhood is a stream called
- 5:29the little, little URI river.
- 5:31It is not a river.
- 5:32It's like two and a half feet across.
- 5:33Yeah.
- 5:34But there's almost always running water down there.
- 5:36And, uh, it's in the woods, like a hundred feet past the, the, the road.
- 5:43But when you get down in that area, it's always about five degrees
- 5:47cooler than it is higher up.
- 5:49Just, just 150 feet away, which is just weird.
- 5:53Yeah.
- 5:54Science at its best.
- 5:55Yeah.
- 5:56Having that little waterway right there, moving water helps cool.
- 6:01It's kind of weird.
- 6:02Yeah.
- 6:03It's funny back when we were growing up, we used to actually go down here to
- 6:06the creek, but during the summer, because it's so much cooler down there
- 6:10and it feels so good just sitting on the banks of the creek.
- 6:13And it was so much better.
- 6:15Yeah.
- 6:16My yard has been invaded by frogs since it warmed up.
- 6:19Same frogs and fucking crickets, dude.
- 6:21Holy.
- 6:22Yeah.
- 6:23No, I haven't noticed any crickets, but the frogs have been going bonkers.
- 6:26Well, they're grasshoppers.
- 6:28From little tiny, bright green ones to like three inch, uh,
- 6:33spotted ones.
- 6:35And yeah.
- 6:36Yeah.
- 6:37Frogs have been going bonkers.
- 6:38Yeah.
- 6:39They're grasshoppers here, but we call them crickets because we in
- 6:42North Carolina, um,
- 6:44We're in North Carolina.
- 6:47We don't understand words.
- 6:49I was sitting here the other night and I forgot what I was watching.
- 6:53It was sort of, it was some movie that takes place in the city.
- 6:56That's all I remember.
- 6:57And I was like, why the fuck do I hear crickets?
- 7:00Like what?
- 7:01Why?
- 7:02Why do I hear crickets in this fucking city movie?
- 7:05And I paused it for a second.
- 7:07And it sounded like they were at my fucking back door, dude.
- 7:09Yeah.
- 7:10How loud those bastards were.
- 7:12And then I think it was like two or three weeks ago.
- 7:15I sent a, uh, a recording to.
- 7:18Jim formerly known as recoil, uh, a, a shot of my camera recording.
- 7:24And you could hear those fucking frogs just belching for like.
- 7:27So loud.
- 7:29It's like, shut the fuck up, Budweiser.
- 7:34Holy shit.
- 7:35God damn.
- 7:37Sounds like you on Friday nights.
- 7:39Oh, is that right?
- 7:41That would be JJ.
- 7:44He's the one that takes the wood to the face.
- 7:46They got, they got these fucking grasshoppers.
- 7:52We've got these grasshoppers of Florida.
- 7:54I never seen the shit before in my life.
- 7:56It's huge.
- 7:57It's a grasshopper.
- 7:58That's about three inches long.
- 8:01And they are thick fucking enormous.
- 8:04And apparently they'll hiss at you.
- 8:06Yeah.
- 8:07And spit some stinky fucking poison shit at you.
- 8:09If you bother him.
- 8:10Yeah.
- 8:11The poison won't hurt you.
- 8:12It might sting a little bit, but yeah, I know.
- 8:14I guess it smells with any, any wildlife in Florida.
- 8:19Yeah.
- 8:20Just, just take a picture and say, oh, that's pretty.
- 8:22And walk away.
- 8:24I had one on the screen there.
- 8:25I was like, what the fuck is that?
- 8:27What you do, Chris, is you smile, nod your head and back away slowly.
- 8:34Whatever it is you want, you can have it.
- 8:35Here's my wallet.
- 8:38Oh shit.
- 8:39Yeah, man.
- 8:40It's been terrible as far as humidity and fucking heat this week.
- 8:46Not to the point walking my dogs before dawn, just so that it's cool enough for them that they don't.
- 8:52That doesn't hurt them.
- 8:53Cause it's just, as soon as the sun comes up, it's like, nope, fuck you.
- 8:56Yeah.
- 8:57Yeah.
- 8:58Laugh it off crew on the east part of North Carolina out in Fayetteville.
- 9:04They had no power earlier.
- 9:06I haven't heard back from them.
- 9:07So I'm presuming they still have no power.
- 9:10There are a few places out on that side that have no power right now.
- 9:13So that's why we were like, I'm not sure if we're going to do the show tonight, guys.
- 9:19But yeah, I'm actually fortunate enough that storm passed me by this morning.
- 9:24I'm guessing it passed you by not too long ago, JJ.
- 9:28Yeah.
- 9:29We got slapped around at about three.
- 9:32Yeah.
- 9:33So it was actually pretty bad.
- 9:34And then it just kind of cleared up.
- 9:36Yeah.
- 9:37But it's supposed to keep going on and off all night.
- 9:40So we'll see.
- 9:41Yeah, it's not supposed to be that bad here.
- 9:44Maybe a little light drizzle or whatever.
- 9:46But yeah.
- 9:47So if we cut out, I apologize.
- 9:49We'll try to be back within five, 10 minutes.
- 9:51If we're not back in five to 10 minutes, show's ended.
- 9:54But yeah.
- 9:55So you got slapped in the face with some wood, JJ.
- 10:01Yeah.
- 10:03It was two Sundays ago.
- 10:05And it actually started right after the radio show Saturday night.
- 10:10I got an email from Vic at Best with Tools asking for an emergency tool
- 10:15handle so that he could take it with him to the Southwest Area Turner's
- 10:20symposium that week.
- 10:22Right.
- 10:23And so at 930 at night, and I was definitely not sober, I'm like, oh,
- 10:30hell yeah, I can make a tool handle for you.
- 10:32That would be great.
- 10:33I'll whip it out in the morning.
- 10:34So I get up butt ass early because it's supposed to be 90 fucking degrees.
- 10:39So I got to get out there before the sun's up.
- 10:42And the first mistake I made was I forgot to put my safety glasses on.
- 10:47I have them sitting right by the back door.
- 10:49And I usually just change my glasses right there so that I walk out wearing
- 10:53safety glasses.
- 10:54And I forgot.
- 10:55And it just went downhill from there.
- 10:57I decided that I didn't need to wear my face shield,
- 11:03which was the biggest mistake I made.
- 11:05And then because I was making a tool handle to fit one of my adapters,
- 11:09the safest way to do it is to mount the adapter on the handle,
- 11:16turn the handle, mount the adapter on the handle,
- 11:18and then use the adapter as a guide to drill a 5/8 inch hole into it so that
- 11:25the tool shaft can actually go into the adapter and fit past the collet.
- 11:31Well, the only way to do it if you don't have an adapter on hand is to drill
- 11:38the hole first.
- 11:39So I did.
- 11:40I drilled the hole.
- 11:41That was fine.
- 11:42And then I was sitting there thinking, well,
- 11:44how am I going to drive it because I can't put a regular drive center up
- 11:48against that hole?
- 11:49It won't work.
- 11:51So I decided that I was just going to take a piece of cedar,
- 11:54a piece of Spanish cedar,
- 11:56and turn a little dowel and just jam it on the dowel.
- 12:01Well, that was not the right material to use.
- 12:06I was turning a handle out of white oak, but I was -- or, no, handle -- yeah,
- 12:10handle out of white oak, but I was using Spanish cedar to try and drive it.
- 12:15And cedar just can't handle that low.
- 12:20Oak is much harder and much denser.
- 12:23And the cedar just couldn't handle it.
- 12:25And so the -- and, again,
- 12:28the biggest mistake I made was not putting my face shield on because even if I
- 12:32wasn't wearing my safety glasses, the face shield still would have protected me.
- 12:36But, you know, I was in a rush.
- 12:38I wasn't worried about it.
- 12:40It was like, oh, this is a quick, easy project.
- 12:42It'll only take me half an hour, no big deal.
- 12:44So I didn't think about safety.
- 12:46And that cedar basically shook itself apart.
- 12:50It failed, and the heavy end of the handle, which wasn't round yet,
- 12:55it was still square, kicked up and hit me right on the side of my nose,
- 13:02right on my upper lip, right beside my nose on the right side.
- 13:06And had it had any more momentum, it would have taken my right eye out.
- 13:12And so the lesson there is to learn from my mistakes.
- 13:16I was doing it live.
- 13:18I have video.
- 13:19I published the video because all of us have a tendency to become complacent,
- 13:28to forget, and, oh, I can do this, you know, this hubris.
- 13:32And so I shared it because it's a good warning for everybody.
- 13:38Thank goodness I wasn't hurt worse because I really could have been.
- 13:41I have a cool scar forming.
- 13:43You know, scars tell stories, so that's nice.
- 13:45But I just I took that as an opportunity to share with as many people as I can.
- 13:53Hey, pay attention to your safety because it doesn't seem like this would have happened.
- 13:58But just that chain of bad, poor decisions stacked up and stacked up and stacked up.
- 14:03And I ended up being the next weekend safety brief.
- 14:06So there you have it.
- 14:09Yeah, I actually have the video playing right now.
- 14:11And I was I was really, really lucky that that didn't pop up just a little tiny bit.
- 14:17If it had moved, what, about three centimeters higher, I would have lost my eye.
- 14:21It would have gouged my eye out.
- 14:23Yeah.
- 14:24So.
- 14:26It's just, you know, stupid little stupid little decisions that you make or, you know,
- 14:32or don't make because I do this every day.
- 14:35I do this.
- 14:36I've done this a hundred thousand times, blah, blah, blah, and you make dumb decisions and
- 14:41safety jumps up and bites you in the ass.
- 14:43Literally.
- 14:46Now, had I been wearing my P.T. belt, I would have been fine.
- 14:51Yeah. P.T. belt save lives.
- 14:54I can't believe you guys didn't learn that.
- 14:56Jesus, fuck.
- 14:57I'm telling you, I should have been wearing my P.T. belt.
- 15:02So lesson learned, don't let hubris take over.
- 15:07Fucking Chris over there with his little fucking gifts.
- 15:09I love it.
- 15:10That's a great one.
- 15:12All right.
- 15:13Let's start an argument.
- 15:14GIF or GIF.
- 15:17Man, man, it's definitely GIF.
- 15:20There's no argument there.
- 15:26Didn't the dude that designed the first one and came up with the name come out with how
- 15:32you're supposed to enunciate it or whatever?
- 15:34I mean, it's graphic interface format.
- 15:37It's a GIF.
- 15:39That's what I believe.
- 15:41Graphic GIF.
- 15:44Who knows?
- 15:46I've seen, I have seen bitter, bitter arguments online over the pronunciation of that term.
- 15:55People are still arguing about whether the earth is flat or round online.
- 16:00So if I can see 200 miles, it's flat.
- 16:08Or you're just in the planes, you dumb fuck.
- 16:13You want to throw fire on that argument?
- 16:15Fucking go to the North Slope.
- 16:18And when it's certain temperatures and certain humidities, you get an inversion layer where
- 16:23the atmosphere actually reflects light.
- 16:26And you can see like 600 miles away because it's actually a reflection in the atmosphere
- 16:33bouncing back at you.
- 16:34Or I can't remember where it's at in the world.
- 16:37Maybe, I don't know, the equator where the sun doesn't, you know, go anywhere.
- 16:42Technically, it stays in the same fucking spot of the sky.
- 16:47So that's a new thing going around that the sun doesn't move.
- 16:51It's definitely flat earth.
- 16:53And I'm like, because you're at the fucking equator.
- 16:55Are you fucking kidding around with this?
- 16:57I mean, really, it's the sun.
- 16:59The sun doesn't really move.
- 17:01We move.
- 17:02Yeah, we move.
- 17:03Right, right.
- 17:04We move.
- 17:05But you get, you get my point.
- 17:06I'm like, of course it doesn't fucking move.
- 17:08If you're at the fucking equator, you fucking dweeb ass motherfucking squares.
- 17:15Jesus.
- 17:17All I see is Uma Thurman from Pulp Fiction doing the thing at the dinner table with their fingers doing a square.
- 17:27Oh my God.
- 17:30We got bigger things to argue about in today's society than fucking flat earth, man.
- 17:37Yeah, like, is there a scuttlebutt at DV Radio?
- 17:43I got to get Oink to send you guys that in chat later that he has chat GPT if there was a fucking scuttlebutt about DV Radio.
- 17:51I thought it was laughing so hard, dude.
- 17:55Scuttlebutt.
- 17:56We don't have any drinking fountains.
- 18:01I was like, this is great.
- 18:03This is literally everything we've said in the past about DV.
- 18:07Nice.
- 18:08But anyway, so you're going to be going, is it next week, JJ?
- 18:14I'll be here Saturday.
- 18:16So I'll be here for the show, but then I will be in Wisconsin the following.
- 18:21And then I basically got hired to go to Pennsylvania to represent Best with Tools at the Mid-Atlantic Woodturning Symposium the weekend, the last weekend of the month.
- 18:39So I'm going to get home, be home for, like, three days, jump back in the truck and run up to.
- 18:47Yeah, what's not Philadelphia?
- 18:51What's the other big city in Pennsylvania starts with an L Lancaster Lancaster going up to Lancaster.
- 18:58How the fuck do I know that?
- 18:59Jesus, I fucking made hotel reservations.
- 19:03I can't remember what town I'm going to.
- 19:05What the hell did you say?
- 19:07The Mid-Atlantic Woodturning Symposium in Pennsylvania?
- 19:12Because that sounds like the northern part of the Atlantic.
- 19:17Mid-Atlantic wrestling actually took place in the mid fucking Atlantic.
- 19:21Yet the Mid-Atlantic Woodturners Association is taking place up north.
- 19:27Well, you're in your best 30 second elevator pitch because you just brought up best with tools.
- 19:32You have a what's high signature collect handle adapter on best with tools dot com.
- 19:37Mr. Diddy, why should people buy it because it is the solution for losing your favorite tool handle because you wore the tool out.
- 19:45If you can make your favorite tool handle using a watch high signature, call it handle adapter.
- 19:51It will hold five eights, one half inch and three inch tool shafts.
- 19:55And you can use your favorite handle for the rest of your life.
- 20:00There you go. That's my best with tools dot com.
- 20:02Get the what's high signature collect handle adapter preorder right now because it's the best price you're going to get.
- 20:07I personally already ordered two.
- 20:10That price is actually going to end this coming week because he's going to start shipping units.
- 20:17You heard it here first, folks. So grab it.
- 20:20And you can buy it now or you're going to lose the best price you'll ever see it at.
- 20:24And you can also unless steel drops like a lot significantly, which is not going to happen.
- 20:31You can also get it in blue, black, red, yellow or green if you prefer.
- 20:36I personally got a black and a blue one because I like blue and my mom's husband's going to be using the other one.
- 20:42So. But, yeah, go grab it at best with tools dot com or if you're on TV, radio dot net.
- 20:48You can go to the chat section and the link is right there.
- 20:52Credit cards will not be processed until that's what tools dot com ship still now.
- 21:00Yeah. You're going to be teaching up there or is it just a what you would call it?
- 21:05Seminar whether in Lancaster, wherever the fuck you got to go.
- 21:11Well, so in Wisconsin, I'm teaching. It's called Level Up.
- 21:15It's worldwide woodturners first ever worldwide woodturners club.
- 21:19It's our first ever symposium style event. It's not a symposium.
- 21:23It's hands on. We'll have multiple pods with five or six lathes in each pod.
- 21:28One coach and five or six or four or five turners.
- 21:33And we will be teaching people one on one on four hands on projects and techniques and things.
- 21:42And it's literally literally designed for you to level up your woodturning game to get better.
- 21:48And I am one of the coaches for Level Up, which is pretty humbling and exciting.
- 21:53So that's going to be in Wisconsin. And if you haven't already got tickets, I'm sorry,
- 21:57but you can't you can't get tickets. So hopefully you're not teaching the safety course.
- 22:03No, I do have to ask a question because you said that you've got a few pods going on.
- 22:10Well, how be able to open the pod bay doors? No, how's not going to be there?
- 22:16Well, that's fucking unfortunate. You're all fucked.
- 22:20And then in Lancaster, I'm going to be demonstrating at the best with tools booth in the vendor area.
- 22:31So, yeah. Well, first off, congratulations that, you know, you're moving on up in the wood world.
- 22:38Not my wood world, but your wood world. I don't really know how to take that.
- 22:46Oh, shit. I mean, you can move up or down.
- 22:50Dude, the jokes rank themselves when you're talking about woodworking tools. They really do.
- 22:54Yeah. When I was doing a lot of cooking classes and getting certificates and safety things and all this jazz so I could cook in certain places.
- 23:07The amount of porn jokes that you can make in one sitting in a kitchen.
- 23:13Oh, yeah. Just revolved around fucking cooking.
- 23:17Yes, dude. And you don't never have to repeat the same one ever.
- 23:23Well, I think that's true of any blue collar profession, though.
- 23:27You could equate it to sex to be like making your poor driveways.
- 23:35Yeah. How bad does it get?
- 23:39Well, like I said, I get along great with these guys, so.
- 23:44It could be hot and dry all at the same time. That's right.
- 23:48And still be fun.
- 23:52Anyway, in some circles, that's called friction, but not around here.
- 23:59Speaking of how's it been since you've not been around here in the past, what, two weeks?
- 24:05Oh, you know, same old shit fucking constantly working, bro.
- 24:09So did you get to go see Megadeth afterwards or was it about three miles long?
- 24:15He pussed out.
- 24:17Yeah, it was actually quite a long line just to get into the fucking fairgrounds that night.
- 24:23I think the wife said she lived here and it took her damn near an hour and I live a mile away.
- 24:28She had tried a couple of different routes, you know, different back roads and different subdivisions, if you will.
- 24:33You could just walk.
- 24:35Well, yeah, and it would have been quicker. It really would have been quicker.
- 24:38But, yeah, the traffic was crazy that night, Saturday and Sunday that weekend, as a matter of fact.
- 24:43And then last night was Twisted Sister with not, unfortunately, without Dee Snider.
- 24:49It was Sebastian Bach doing the lead singing.
- 24:52Oh, really?
- 24:53Yeah, they sounded all right. They sounded pretty decent.
- 24:56I didn't go into the actual, you know, amphitheater.
- 24:59If I remember the Aurora Amphitheater, you can hear whoever's playing pretty well.
- 25:04Yeah, and they got the big screen on the top of the Borealis Theater, so you can stand back and actually watch it, if you know what I'm saying.
- 25:10So we did that for a little bit as we're walking around the fair last night.
- 25:13She did get me to go, but no, unfortunately, I did not get to see Megadeth or Twisted Sister.
- 25:19But like I said, Twisted Sister didn't sound bad with Sebastian Bach doing the leads, but you could tell it was a little different.
- 25:24They did have a couple of Skid Row songs in there as well.
- 25:26I know I remember you. I heard that one playing.
- 25:29There's another one, too, I remember.
- 25:31I'm not up on my '80s hair metal, but didn't Twisted Sister and Skid Row have a rivalry back in the day?
- 25:41It wouldn't surprise me none.
- 25:43I mean, it just seems a little odd that Sebastian Bach would be fronting Twisted Sister now, but maybe I'm wrong.
- 25:50That was the '80s. That was, dude, that was 40 years ago.
- 25:54I've slept since then and maybe had a beer or two.
- 25:57I've lost brain cells since then.
- 26:00I think maybe it was one of those moments where, you know, Sebastian Bach was high or fucking drunk or both.
- 26:06Oh, yeah, because he was a prick. I remember he was a fucking.
- 26:09He still is fucking.
- 26:11He done an interview with somebody who is very good friends with Rob Halford.
- 26:16If you don't know who Rob Halford is, Judas Priest.
- 26:19Anyway, for those that don't know, Rob Halford has been out and gay for fucking eons now and nobody gives a fuck.
- 26:28So at some point he makes the joke that Rob Halford drinks a man's thing that happens after the end of sex.
- 26:43Because I don't want to say it because I know Twitch will definitely ban us then.
- 26:47It starts with a C. And, you know, come on over. There you go.
- 26:51Anyway, to get his voice that he's always had.
- 26:57You would have thought he told Sebastian Bach that his family needs to die.
- 27:02I'm not even joking. He got so upset that he quit the interview and turned off his fucking Zoom.
- 27:10And then a few interviews later, same dude gets Rob Halford on, tells him about it. And Rob goes, I don't guzzle, I drink.
- 27:23I was like, that's the greatest thing ever.
- 27:26That is actually a perfect illustration of where we've gone wrong in society.
- 27:32When did it become everybody's job to get offended for somebody else without getting their input first?
- 27:40Exactly. I would have played into that so fucking hard.
- 27:45Right.
- 27:47And I don't mean in the gay way, for those that's got jokes coming out.
- 27:52But no, I've seen both sides of that interview and I'm like, Bach is a little fucking puss, like, fuck up, my guy.
- 28:00I remember that he was always kind of a dickhead, but that's part of why I didn't like hair metal back in the day.
- 28:07I mean, I could appreciate certain bands now, like Megadeth and, oh my God.
- 28:18Iron Maiden.
- 28:19Yes, Iron Maiden actually fucking rock. They were a good band, but they were the sensationalism and the hair metal, the scene was so obnoxious.
- 28:31I couldn't stand it back in the day.
- 28:33Well, the problem with that too was the media lumped punk with hair metal at the time.
- 28:38Right. And punk is wildly vastly different planet.
- 28:44Yeah.
- 28:45They're not even on the same planet.
- 28:46Oh, hell no. If you know anything about CBG's, like fucking just watch a few of those fucking videos and you're like, oh, now I see what's going on.
- 28:54Yeah.
- 28:56But yeah, that was the big, it's media's fault. I mean, they're not called hair metal. That was a media thing, right?
- 29:01It's just rock, but we call it hair metal because fucking media.
- 29:05Well, we called it, those of us that, you know, the Mike, the guys I hung out with, we called it butt rock, but yeah.
- 29:11I think one of the funniest stories I've heard is one of my friends, he was young at the time, but his brother was, I think his brother's like 10 years older than him.
- 29:24And he brings in an album and he just shows him the album and he's like, which one of those girls would you like to have in bed?
- 29:32He goes, oh, I don't know that one, I guess. Cool deal. He finds out a few years later, it was the band Poison that he showed him the album of.
- 29:43Oh God. I never, I never liked that band ever.
- 29:47Nobody knows all of Poison is dudes, but they all straight up look like chicks in the fucking album photo.
- 29:54I never liked Poison and Def Leppard. Oh my God. Somebody shoot me if they start playing Def Leppard at a bar.
- 30:01I'm just like, Nope, I'm gone. I'm done. I'm out. I can't stand them. Never could.
- 30:06And I appreciate like the drummer lost his arm and kept going. That's cool as shit, but I hate the band, you know?
- 30:14Well, I still think one of the best running gags and I think he does it to this day is Rush and Getty when he removed all the speakers and all that shit from the stage. And instead he replaced it with coin operated laundry machines, washing machines.
- 30:31That actually was washing shirts and clothes for the band and for the audience while they were playing.
- 30:39Which is to this day fucking hilarious because you'd have stagehands come out and change out shit, put in new clothes and stuff.
- 30:47Sometimes they throw them out to the crowd. Sometimes they were actually doing their laundry.
- 30:54It's so fucking hilarious because he didn't want to empty stage. So he put fucking coin operated washers and dryers up there.
- 31:01Oh my God. Anyway, Chris, you made it tonight. So how's your last few weeks been?
- 31:08What? Yeah, you heard me. Yeah. I mean, what the fuck are you even talking about anyway?
- 31:15This week has felt like a fucking last few weeks. It has, man. It's been long and brutal.
- 31:22But yeah, I mean, it's been going. I've been just trying to focus on work. We've got a couple openings.
- 31:28I've been doing interviews and what's fucked up, man, is let me tell you this story.
- 31:34All right. So I'm manager at my workplace. I'm the hiring manager for my department and I had a couple openings.
- 31:42So I did some interviews with collected resumes over the course of a couple of weeks.
- 31:46And I weeded through them and I selected some people to interview, went through them, found a couple that I wanted to extend offers to.
- 31:55And. Lo and behold, my boss. After he spoke with the people I wanted to select, decided, oh, this one is really good.
- 32:07So, yes, let's extend the offer to this guy. And you know what?
- 32:11The other position that you had, I'm going to take it from you and give it to a different department.
- 32:15So so in the process of trying to hire two people, not only did that, I was not given the opportunity to extend the offer to the second person.
- 32:26But I also lost the position entirely to another department.
- 32:32And then the follow up to that is when we extended the offer out to to the guy.
- 32:38I got notification back yesterday that he rejected the position.
- 32:45So it's been a pretty fucked week, you know, at work anyway, trying to get all that mess done.
- 32:51Meanwhile, I'm like, that's almost 50 percent of my team. I have a pretty small team.
- 32:55So it's yeah, I'm trying to get all this shit done with a small team and all these roadblocks trying to hire people.
- 33:04So it's been it's been interesting on that front. And then, you know, just managing family and all the other things that, you know, go on every day.
- 33:12But, yes, it has been it's been it felt like an entire month all crammed into one week, you know, especially with the holiday weekend this weekend.
- 33:20You know, everybody always looks forward to that. So it makes the week even feel longer.
- 33:24But here we are. It's Saturday. Yeah, our quick emergency meeting that we had the other day where I scared Chris by accident.
- 33:32Yeah, man. So I was on my I was about to leave to go pick up my cake because that's been a thing more and more frequently, which good for him.
- 33:39Right now, he's got his job started off only like one day a week.
- 33:44And now they're like dumping all kinds of hours on him, which is good. Right.
- 33:48But he doesn't drive. So it's me, my wife and sometimes his grandmother toting his ass back and forth.
- 33:56And I was just on my way out and I got a text. I forget what you said, the tax or whatever.
- 34:01But you rarely text me and ask me to call. Yeah, I said, are you busy?
- 34:05I think. Yeah. And usually I'll just text me and send me information or whatever.
- 34:09Rarely are you looking to get me on the phone? Yeah. So I was like, oh, this shit must be important.
- 34:14So I called and not that it wasn't important, but it was definitely not like I thought it was maybe an emergency or something.
- 34:20So I was like, oh, let me give this motherfucker a call. He just wanted to tell you about how he sneezed and tore one of his toenails or something.
- 34:29Funny story about that. I'll tell you in a second, JJ.
- 34:33Yeah, the whole toenail thing. Don't be joking about that shit.
- 34:37I just had my roof off this weekend. I had to go back to work.
- 34:41But no, what it was is I had Tyler on the phone from inertmugs.com for those that don't know.
- 34:45I'll speak more about that in a second. And we were talking about some business.
- 34:49We were catching up and we had called up and I was like, hey, let me get Chris on the phone.
- 34:54He shouldn't be too busy right now. And I wasn't thinking of the time because I was thinking,
- 34:58in my mind for whatever, it was like six, six thirty. No, it was like seven fucking o'clock at night.
- 35:04And so I text him, you busy? He doesn't answer me. And I'm like, well, he might not be paying attention to his cell phone.
- 35:10So let me give him a call. He doesn't answer. Lo and behold, he calls back. He's like, hey, man, you good?
- 35:15I'm like, yeah. So I got Tyler on the other way. He's like, oh, man, I thought it was an emergency.
- 35:19And I was like, oh, shit, I'm so fucking sorry, dude. Wasn't even thinking. I felt so bad, too, man.
- 35:28I honestly did, because Chris is right. I don't call people. I don't.
- 35:33If you get a phone call from Beau, it's like, what's wrong? What's the matter?
- 35:38Yeah. And it was just one of those in the moment scenarios where it's like, hey, we're not busy right now.
- 35:45Let me call Chris. You know, let's let's talk business. No, I shouldn't have done that.
- 35:49But I should have been like, I got Tyler on the phone. Can you call me?
- 35:53Almost immediately to like, I'm going to I'm going to patch in with Tyler. And I was like, oh, fuck.
- 35:57Yeah, literally. I didn't even give him a chance to say no. I just done it.
- 36:02Chris is like, damn it, Bobby, teach you to answer your phone, your fuck.
- 36:10All the while, I honestly, in the back of my mind, I was like, oh, my God, he thought I was like needing him for something or, you know, whatever.
- 36:17I was like, damn, that's that's that's not.
- 36:22It's all good. Obviously, I had a little bit of time or else I wouldn't have called you.
- 36:25But, yeah, it was just I was just heading out the door. That's all.
- 36:28Well, next time I'll add more information. I apologize.
- 36:31He was just going to get in his Tesla and have his Tesla chauffeur him.
- 36:34So, no, it's literally I wasn't even driving, but, you know, I wish that was a joke.
- 36:43It's not. It's I know. I know.
- 36:47I was pissed when I went to Florida and had to actually drive myself around for three weeks.
- 36:52Oh, my God. Third world problems.
- 36:56Man, I got fucking living in fucking Timbuktu or some shit.
- 37:05Oh, my God. Chris, have you seen there's a Canadian company called Edison Motors.
- 37:11Do you have you ever seen anything? I haven't.
- 37:14Dude, there I wish that I could invest in this company.
- 37:19They are creating diesel electric semis and they have a diesel electric conversion kit for pickup trucks.
- 37:27And what it is is they've taken electric batteries with a small diesel generator.
- 37:34And so if your batteries get low, your vehicle charges itself.
- 37:40And there's the electric motors with they use Tesla motors on the axles of their semis.
- 37:48Each axle has each tire has its own motor.
- 37:52So not tire, because you've got dualies with double.
- 37:57But each axle has a left and a right motor on each axle.
- 38:01And it's incredible what they're building.
- 38:05Like the trucks they're building are probably going to be the best semis ever built.
- 38:09What are they not publicly traded?
- 38:11They're there. It's a Canadian company and you have to have some kind of a certification if you're an American and you want to invest in them.
- 38:19Or I would have fucking dumped a thousand dollars in two years ago.
- 38:23But I'm not in. You have to be in some kind of investor group or something.
- 38:27So they're probably not publicly traded and you have to be a decredited investor.
- 38:31Yeah. Yeah, exactly. You have to be an accredited investor.
- 38:35And honestly, if I could have dumped a thousand dollars into it, I would have done it because they're going to take it.
- 38:40They're going to completely recreate the trucking industry.
- 38:44And with their with their pickup conversions, they're going to they're going to change.
- 38:49You can take their pickup conversion and put it in any pickup truck.
- 38:54So you want a 1972 Ford Ranger 100 custom to be diesel electric.
- 39:02They can put that kit in that truck. No shit.
- 39:05Fucking incredible, dude, that what they're doing is amazing or or you can look at the new vehicle.
- 39:12That's basically Tinker Toys. And I think I sent it to Chris.
- 39:16Yeah, I see. Yep. You can 3D print parts for it.
- 39:20Yeah, you can. It's called Slate Auto, but you can buy a truck and have an SUV two months later or buy an SUV and have a Jeep next.
- 39:30And it is the coolest fucking thing.
- 39:33But at the same time, I'm like, I know what would happen.
- 39:36I know exactly what would happen if I had that fucking vehicle.
- 39:39That motherfucker would be going down the road and it'd be like fucking something's crazy movie or something.
- 39:45And the whole damn thing fall apart and half go one way and half go the other way.
- 39:50There's also a company making a small basically it's a it's a slightly larger version of a K truck, four cylinder.
- 39:58I think it's an automatic transmission, but minimal electronics.
- 40:04And the base model price is 20 grand or actually like it's 20 grand period.
- 40:10But you can work on everything. You can you can repair it yourself.
- 40:14It's simple enough motor and everything. It's not heavy computer electronics and shit.
- 40:20Yeah, that's coming out. I can't remember the name of that company.
- 40:23I love the slate because you can do, I think, like the Ford Maverick. I think you can do the eighty five S.
- 40:31Is it the SR five pickup from Toyota? I think it was SR five.
- 40:36And I think Chevy Silverado, but their truck, it's literally called the blank slate.
- 40:42Yeah, yeah. That's a marketing right there.
- 40:46Also in branding, let me give you a tip real quick, because you said you couldn't invest on it. So let me give you a tip.
- 40:53And everybody else that's opening back up for investments next month, I think it wouldn't happen that quickly.
- 41:00But for the future, this is I wouldn't call it a hack because it does take some work.
- 41:05But it is definitely a tip for anybody that's looking to get into private investing in the roadblock, which is that of being an accredited investor.
- 41:15Which I get the idea behind it. It was put into place by the SEC to keep people from getting scammed because otherwise anybody can say, hey, you want to invest in my company and give me all this money and you are not educated enough.
- 41:27Therefore, you get your money stolen. But at the same time, the most money that is made in investing is through these private equity deals.
- 41:36So it's kind of like this catch 22 where you're being protected, but you're also being stonewalled out because, you know, if you're broke, you know, it's one of those the rich keep getting richer type things.
- 41:46Because in order to qualify as an accredited investor, you have to have a million dollars in assets, right, a million dollar net worth, not including your primary home.
- 41:55You also have to be making 200,000 a year over the last two years or 300 if it's you and your spouse.
- 42:01Most people in this country do not qualify for that unless you're already wealthy. Right.
- 42:06But there is a workaround and that is to get a license that is called a series 65.
- 42:12It is it does require studying. What that does is that makes you an investment advisor, but you don't have to actually use it for anything.
- 42:22But if you get this license, if you if you get the series 65, it automatically makes you an accredited investor automatically. And it's it's like a it's like 200 bucks to take the test.
- 42:33You pay for the study materials. And then when you're ready, go take the test. If you pass it, you're automatically considered an accredited investor.
- 42:42So, you know, what if you fail it, though, you just retake it. Yeah, the certification test, just like anything else. You got to pay it again. Of course. Yeah, of course.
- 42:52OK, that's a good ask, because, I mean, no, my damn luck, man, but it's 200 bucks.
- 42:57They got to make money on processing and fees. You know, all this stuff they tell you that you're paying for that they really can't account for.
- 43:05Yeah, by no means is it an easy test. It is goes into lots of detail with investing in the stock market and the economy.
- 43:14But it's all great information that you should know anyway if you're going to get into that realm.
- 43:19Right. Because you want to educate yourself. So not only are you getting that education to better educate yourself.
- 43:23So when you get into getting into these private equity deals that are not publicly traded, but now you're automatically accredited and you can go get involved in that stuff.
- 43:34And you don't have to worry about your income and you don't have to worry about your net worth.
- 43:38So that's all. I don't want to spend too much time on it, but I want to throw that out there that there is a way.
- 43:42Yeah, that's cool. Take some study. And that's all like Chris to spend more time on this.
- 43:48Go ahead and record podcast radio whenever Chris decides to do it. Fuck you. You open up that door.
- 44:04I knew that was coming. I knew it was coming. That door is so fucking wide. It can hit you in the ass.
- 44:14I do need to mention, though, for inertmugs.com, Tyler just sent me a text and I'll read it verbatim right now.
- 44:24He's working on building bundles to save the customer some money. 20 ounce and 14 ounce are up now.
- 44:29Crowns are doing well. So what that means is he's working on bundle packs to save you money, literally save you money.
- 44:37So when you go over to inertmugs.com, just go over there, try to find the bundle packs that they're not up right now during the live or during the podcast.
- 44:46Just check back every little bit. I believe if I'm not mistaken, let me check and make sure.
- 44:51Yes, you can subscribe to his newsletter so you can be aware of when those things happen, when he sends things out like that.
- 44:58But inertmugs.com, we will be having some stuff over there very, very soon. That's part of what Chris and Tyler and myself were talking about the other day.
- 45:09But right now, go over to inertmugs.com, help Tyler and his family escape California.
- 45:15Just buy one 14 ounce tumbler today, right now. $14.99. That's all it takes to save this family and get them out of California.
- 45:24That's inertmugs.com. Get your tumblers today.
- 45:29What's the website?
- 45:31Inertmugs.com.
- 45:37I remember, I don't know if you guys remember, you know what, Oink might remember this.
- 45:42It was a few years back when Six was still able to come on to the show when he wasn't over here dying in my front yard.
- 45:50And he hated how I read off our promos and stuff like that.
- 45:55And he's like, "Oh, you don't sound real. You sound fake. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. It doesn't sound good."
- 46:00So one of our listeners said in chat, "Let's hear DV Six promote whatever we were promoting and then hear Bo promote whatever we were promoting."
- 46:09So Six went first and he'd done his spiel and then I'd done it.
- 46:13And he was like, "All right, who wins?" And I'm not joking you, all but one said me.
- 46:18And he was like, "Oh, I don't believe it. I don't believe it."
- 46:23I was like, "Six, you're stumbling over your words. You can't get the fucking website correct."
- 46:29I was like, "Hell, it took you two or I think it was like two or three times to get the discount code right."
- 46:36I was like, "Dude, I have it in front of me. I'm reading it verbatim."
- 46:39He's like, "I don't like it. I don't like it. Salesman, I don't like it."
- 46:43Give me a fucking break, my guy. Oh, it was so good.
- 46:48Cause I think we were talking about telemarketer voice versus your friend voice when somebody calls you.
- 46:56Telemarketer voice is, "I would like to talk to you about your car's extended warranty."
- 47:01No, no, no, no, no, no. When somebody calls you.
- 47:04So like if a telemarketer calls you, you're like, "Hello, how are you?"
- 47:07Right. Whereas like if one of us calls you, "What's up, faggot?" Like we're just like normal everyday sales, right?
- 47:14If you're talking to somebody- That's literally exactly how we answer the phone.
- 47:18I do it to Chris all the time. Every time he calls me, I'm like, "What's up, fag?"
- 47:25That's why I almost never, ever call anybody or answer my phone when I'm in the car with my family.
- 47:33Or on speaker. Cause if it's a veteran, you know.
- 47:39No, I'm usually pretty good with Chris. I've learned that if Chris calls me, he's probably in his car.
- 47:45So I try not to call him a faggot when he calls me.
- 47:49I answer and very quickly say, "Yo, what's up, man? I'm in the car with my wife and kids."
- 47:55And I'm like, "Oh, that's nice."
- 47:58That's nice. So what you're telling us is you're a bitch.
- 48:03I love when Jim calls me and my mom's standing here.
- 48:06And I always put my landline on speaker phone because I can't stand holding it up to my ear.
- 48:12But anyway, I'll put it on speaker phone. He's like, "What's up, buttercup? Missed you."
- 48:19Fucking reminds me of a story. We had to do a paving job like 75 miles north of Valdez.
- 48:24So that's like almost 200 fucking miles from where we're at.
- 48:27That's a long haul.
- 48:28It is. So on the way back, we were stopping at Eureka Lodge to grab some sandwiches and some food on the way back.
- 48:34And they asked me what I wanted so they could order ahead.
- 48:37And I was like, "Yeah, give me the pulled pork," because being last name and everything, I was like, "I want my pork pulled."
- 48:42And the boss got the joke, right? He got the joke. He's laughing. He's cool with it.
- 48:47He gets there and he tells the lady, "Hey, we need two hamburgers, one whatever the hell, and then the pulled pork sandwich."
- 48:54And she goes, "Oh, we're fresh out of the pulled pork." And he goes, "Well, Mr. Pigs would be really pissed off about that."
- 49:00So he's playing along with it and telling the waitress this, and the waitress doesn't have a fucking clue, right?
- 49:06But anyway, long story short, the boss is there sitting in the office with his mom who actually owns the company.
- 49:13And I make a joke about the pulled pork sandwich again. He goes, "I'm sitting here in front of my mom right now."
- 49:18I'm like, "Oh shit." But that's what I'm saying with these guys that I'm working with. They're all fucking great, dude.
- 49:25As a matter of fact, right before this weekend, we got an extended weekend. We don't have to go in Monday, obviously.
- 49:30We didn't have Saturday. I'm here with you, right? I had a $200 shoved in my pocket and said, "Have a great weekend. Thanks for your hard work."
- 49:37So this company, I fucking love it, dude. Small, family-owned, like I said.
- 49:42And the group of guys, like I said, we range from, you know, 20 to my old ass of 50 something.
- 49:49So there's definitely a broad range in there and everybody likes working with one another.
- 49:55I mean, yeah, they have their tiffs and their arguments every once in a while, but shit, what company doesn't, you know what I'm saying?
- 50:00Or employees for that matter.
- 50:01We've all argued on something in this fucking circle.
- 50:04Exactly. Exactly. And then the next day you call each other in the front, "Hey, fucker. Hey, faggot."
- 50:09So funny, funny thing that you said that reminds me of a story because what you said just reminded me of a story.
- 50:18I have a friend that I've known since we were in kindergarten and he had deleted his Facebook and then remade a Facebook later on.
- 50:26And he was like, "Yeah, just look me up on Facebook." So I type in his name. His name's Garrett, but we always called him Willie G because his real name's William Garrett.
- 50:34Well, his dad's name is William Garrett. So I just seen Willie G, no joke. I seen Willie G on Facebook.
- 50:41And I'm like, "Ah, there he is." Because it had a picture of his house. And I was like, "That's Garrett."
- 50:47So I message him and I add him and I'm like, "Hey, what's up, fag? Been a minute." Not thinking, you know, that it's his fucking dad.
- 50:55So he never answers me. And I'm like, he never answered me. He never added me. So I think we were playing World of Warcraft at the time.
- 51:05So we get in voice chat. I'm like, "Dude, I sent you a Facebook message the other day and you never answered. You didn't add me."
- 51:11He's like, "What?" He's like, "I haven't gotten anything from you." I was like, "Yeah, you did." And I showed him. He's like, "Dude, that's my dad."
- 51:18I was like, "Well, sucks to be your dad." I straight up sent his dad a message. "What up, fag? How you doing?"
- 51:31Dad's looking at the Facebook with his bifocals going, "I don't understand these goddamn kids."
- 51:39His dad had so many questions. But I'm like, "Oh, that's your dad?"
- 51:48His dad's like, "Son, do you need to talk to me about something?"
- 51:51Still doesn't beat the time that I was trying to message my friend about a post that I had seen of hers and I was using my tablet.
- 52:03And autocorrect is a thing for those that don't know. I'm not paying attention. I'm just typing in things, right?
- 52:14And it's, "Hey, I've seen your post. Hope you're doing good. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Love you. Miss you."
- 52:21Son, I'm reading back the message. "Hey, saw your pussy. Hope you're doing good." This is before editing was a thing with messages.
- 52:35I'm typing posts, asterisks, asterisks, asterisks, asterisks. I'm so fucking sorry. I'm on my tablet.
- 52:44She fucking laughed her fucking ass off and hasn't let me live it down since. And I'm like, "Yep, that's friends right there."
- 52:57But yeah, I literally told one of my best friends, "Just saw your pussy. Hope you're doing well. Love you. Miss you."
- 53:08But depending on the year, like, you know, if that was 2012, it'd be like, "That's weird." In 2026, it's like, "You've seen my OnlyFans?"
- 53:20Man, I've not seen her in person since AIT NS. But at the same time, I sent that and I just, like, your fucking stomach goes through your throat and your heart drops into your ass, right?
- 53:35And I was like, "I am fucked." Because at the time she had a very abusive husband and she was trying to get out of the relationship.
- 53:41And I was like, "Either I'm fucked, she's fucked, or we're both fucked if he sees this."
- 53:46Damn.
- 53:48I was like, "Motherfucker. Stupid fucking autocorrect." And everybody's like, "You can fix that." I'm like, "You can't fix autocorrects, post, and pussy."
- 53:59Not after you hit send.
- 54:01That's not how that happens. Like, today you can edit Facebook messages, for those that don't know. Back then, that wasn't a thing.
- 54:08It was before they even added reactions to messages and you still had the one little thumbs up for your fucking post.
- 54:15That was before all this new fucking technology that they've got, I should say.
- 54:22But anyway, I told my best friend that, you know, I've seen her pussy. Missed her in love.
- 54:34Oh shit. Anyway, it is about that time. So let's go down the ringer.
- 54:43We've got Catastrophic Industries. That's catastrophicind.com. Go buy some chew toys. Have you gotten yours yet, JJ?
- 54:51No, I need to do that. Thank you for reminding me. I fucking forgot.
- 54:55You know what? Just for you, I'm going to send it in host chat. Well, if I don't choose my mom's messages.
- 55:02I was about to send it to her.
- 55:07I was going to say, don't send that shit to your mom.
- 55:10Also, if you didn't know, if you go over to catastrophicind.com, you can get 25% through GovX off. If you're a veteran, just go to GovX.com.
- 55:20That's a steep fucking discount. That's pretty nice.
- 55:24You also get a discount from Bilge Brew with GovX. But it's, I think it's 15%, not 25.
- 55:32It's more than 10% like most places. Most places you don't get more than 10%, you get 5 or 10%, but 15 to 25%, I am all day long.
- 55:41So catastrophicind.com. Check them out. Bilge brew.com. Grab you some coffee. We'll have some coffee very soon, hopefully.
- 55:49Excellent fucking coffee. I am nothing but impressed every time I order with him. I'm telling you, we need to get him on board.
- 55:58Yeah. I just literally said, we'll have some coffee soon.
- 56:01Yeah. Yeah. We need, we need to get on that because damn.
- 56:04Also, Jared, if you're listening to this episode right now, I don't like the pop-up chat. I don't like the pop-up chat on your fucking website. I don't like it.
- 56:13Oh, I ignore that shit immediately. I'm going to fucking get an ad block. I'm going to get an ad block just for HopeFor22ADay.org.
- 56:21Go to HopeFor22ADay.org. If you want to donate because you're not sure what they need from their Amazon wishlist, which it's their wishlist, so grab it.
- 56:34But if you'd rather just donate because you can't afford it, or you're not sure if they have too much of something or don't have enough of something else, you can press the donate button.
- 56:42You can also head over to their wishlist, which is right there. It says wishlist here.
- 56:47Then they have the Hope For 22 A Day Blanket Raffle, which was hand-sewn by our very own Betsy Ross.
- 56:54It's a beautiful, gorgeous, lovely fucking quilt, blanket, whatever you want to call it.
- 57:00Drawing day will be September 13th of this year. You do not have to be present to win. Tickets are $5 each, and each ticket is one entry into that raffle.
- 57:13Also, their Star Stripes and Pin Ups is a special edition for 2027. That's their calendar for next year.
- 57:21So if you want a pre-order of that, you can do that as well. That is all available at HopeFor22ADay.org. Don't forget, they have some soaps that Kashi makes and all that good stuff.
- 57:32NerdMugs.com, I've already told you. Help Tyler and his family escape California. Head over to NerdMugs.com right now.
- 57:42Don't forget, beer ready to drink, Stars and Stripes Brewery. Yeah, Stars and Stripes Brewery is in Tennessee. I almost forgot where the fuck they were at.
- 57:54I'm going to try to swing by there on my way back and bring a case back with me. That would be great.
- 58:00I don't think their store is up right now on their website, but do check them out, that Stars and Stripes Brewery.
- 58:06If you type in just Stars and Stripes, you're going to get that stupid military website, which is fucking hogwash at this point.
- 58:13Half of the editorial staff got fired by Pete Hexeth. I was like, yes!
- 58:18Well, maybe some actual military news.
- 58:21Maybe some actual journalism will start to happen there.
- 58:26Until things change, head over to DVRadio.net, click on the store link, and you can help us pay some bills by getting some cool ass shit like the DVFNR t-shirt and stickers.
- 58:35There's also some other stuff on there available.
- 58:38So go grab that while it's available at DVRadio.net, click on the store tab.
- 58:43And we still have the DVRadio app available on Android.
- 58:47If you head over to your Android store, that is the Google Play Store, just type in DVRadio app and grab that.
- 58:52It's completely free and you can listen to us live and you can listen to the podcast and you can watch the Rumble videos as well.
- 58:59I believe Rumble will open up in your browser.
- 59:02I don't believe it opens up in the app.
- 59:04It's a fucking headache to get it to do that.
- 59:07So just go over there and enjoy it if you can.
- 59:11Let's see. Without further ado, let's go around the proverbial round.
- 59:15Today we're with Mr. Christopher Santos.
- 59:18Aw, damn, you're fucking my name up and shit.
- 59:21Mr. Santos? That's literally what I call you.
- 59:24I literally started calling you Mr. Santos.
- 59:27Dude, just for that, I'm going to fuck you all up.
- 59:31I'm going to get us started on a conversation that will last the next two hours.
- 59:33Go for it. I'm here all night.
- 59:36It's only 5 p.m. in Alaska. Let's do this.
- 59:40I'll be up until 5 a.m.
- 59:42I won't do it, but I do live in Massachusetts and we all know the major news story that's going on in my state right now.
- 59:48Oh, Jesus Christ. Don't start that conversation.
- 59:52I've lost friends over this already. I'm not even joking.
- 59:55Oh, for real?
- 59:56Yep.
- 59:57I'm trying to lose friends over it.
- 59:59Yeah, for real. Exactly. So-called friends.
- 1:00:03We're winnowing the chap right now.
- 1:00:06I will say this. What kills me is people can't have a conversation about it.
- 1:00:12You have to be for, against, or you're nothing, and I can't stand that.
- 1:00:16People cannot be fucking adults and have a conversation. That's what's killing me.
- 1:00:20Me and another person have had a conversation. We do not see eye to eye on it.
- 1:00:24We still are not going to go after each other because we don't see eye to eye on it.
- 1:00:28But at the same time, we had a conversation.
- 1:00:30That's called maturity.
- 1:00:31Thank you. Thank you. Fucking thank you.
- 1:00:34Anyway, Chris.
- 1:00:35I really don't have nothing to say.
- 1:00:39Yeah, just everybody enjoy your weekend, Memorial Day.
- 1:00:42I'm sorry, Labor Day, around here.
- 1:00:45I'm excited about Labor Day because it kind of means the whittling down and the end of tourist season.
- 1:00:50Amen to that, brother.
- 1:00:52So everybody can go home and stay home and stay away from this area.
- 1:00:57And the cooler weather's coming.
- 1:00:59So it's averaging, you know, mid to low 70s around here.
- 1:01:02So I'm enjoying it.
- 1:01:03Oh, my God.
- 1:01:04Fuck you.
- 1:01:05I wish.
- 1:01:07Well, you know, it's only a short couple of months till the fucking snow comes in.
- 1:01:11Don't talk about it. Don't talk about it.
- 1:01:13I actually drove through that going to Valdez, believe it or not.
- 1:01:16Oh, gross.
- 1:01:20That's all. Keep on keeping on, everybody.
- 1:01:23Yeah, as Bruce Campbell says, stay groovy.
- 1:01:27No, he says stay groovy, baby.
- 1:01:31Yeah, I do want to bring up him before I go to JJ and Oink.
- 1:01:36I have personally met Bruce Campbell.
- 1:01:38He's a fucking amazing dude.
- 1:01:40One of the greatest people that I've met that's famous in this fucked up world that we have right now.
- 1:01:46USA Today put out a article and they tweeted out cult movie icon Bruce Campbell declined to share what type of cancer he has,
- 1:01:55but said that he has a life expectancy of five years, give or take.
- 1:02:00Bruce decided to retweet it and said, cancer is all the rage.
- 1:02:04But I've said plenty and I need to get back to the business of living.
- 1:02:08I don't get emotional when famous people get sick or divorced or die.
- 1:02:16Chris Farley and Robin Williams are the only two that have actually legitimately made me fucking tear up, to say the least.
- 1:02:23That one was all I could do not to fucking cry.
- 1:02:26That I was like, because one, it's fucking 2026 and we still have, quote unquote, do not have a cure for cancer.
- 1:02:35Bullshit.
- 1:02:37Secondly, the best people always seem to be the most fucked up or get the worst things done to them.
- 1:02:45And you can blame it on God or whatever.
- 1:02:47I don't give a fuck.
- 1:02:48That's, that's, that's your beliefs.
- 1:02:50But what the fuck, dude?
- 1:02:52Like, seriously?
- 1:02:53I mean, we all die.
- 1:02:55He's in his seventies, isn't he?
- 1:02:58It doesn't matter.
- 1:02:59He's got cancer is my point.
- 1:03:01Yeah, but what I'm saying is all of us are going to fucking die someday.
- 1:03:05And we're going to guarantee tomorrow, you know.
- 1:03:08Yeah, we are.
- 1:03:09I could die tonight.
- 1:03:10That's not the point.
- 1:03:11The point is cancer is my point.
- 1:03:14Well, yeah.
- 1:03:15Fuck cancer.
- 1:03:16Always fuck cancer.
- 1:03:17He's suffering.
- 1:03:18He's suffering is what I'm saying.
- 1:03:19Right.
- 1:03:20I know he's not suffering to us.
- 1:03:22Right.
- 1:03:23In the public eye, he's not going to be suffering.
- 1:03:24But behind the closed door, he's suffering.
- 1:03:27Anybody that.
- 1:03:28But you know what?
- 1:03:29That speaks a lot to his character that he's like, yeah, fuck cancer.
- 1:03:31You know, I'm living.
- 1:03:33I'm with him.
- 1:03:34My point is we're in twenty, twenty six.
- 1:03:36We don't have the cure for cancer.
- 1:03:38And it's always the good people that this shit happened to him.
- 1:03:41And I just that fucking killed me.
- 1:03:43But I wanted to read that and let you guys know about that if you miss that.
- 1:03:48So, yeah.
- 1:03:50Anyway, speaking of JJ speaking, what you got for our listeners?
- 1:03:57Love Room podcast, I do want to say check on your brothers and sisters.
- 1:04:04And I've got two close veteran friends that are near to me within driving distance.
- 1:04:11Had lunch with one today.
- 1:04:13I'm having lunch with the other on Monday.
- 1:04:16Both of them have been struggling.
- 1:04:18Both of them have been.
- 1:04:21Isolating because you know how we are and what we fucking do.
- 1:04:26Myself included.
- 1:04:28I'm in this.
- 1:04:29I'm pointing my finger pointing a finger at myself to reach out.
- 1:04:33Check out your brother, your buddies.
- 1:04:35Do it.
- 1:04:36Just fucking do it.
- 1:04:38And I had a conversation with one of them today that helped clear up some of my concerns for him.
- 1:04:45Because literally he's he's working through the night because it's so hot during the day that he can't.
- 1:04:52So, when he's talking about day drinking, what he's really talking about is he's been working since 8 p.m.
- 1:04:57And so, he'll have a couple of beers at like 9 in the morning because he's about to go to sleep.
- 1:05:03But that's not how it sounds.
- 1:05:05It sounds like he's drinking himself, you know, drinking himself through the days.
- 1:05:09But that wasn't reality.
- 1:05:10And I didn't realize that until I had a conversation with him today.
- 1:05:13So, just reach out and talk to your buddies.
- 1:05:15Because I was worried about him.
- 1:05:17But I'm not as worried about him.
- 1:05:19Because the reality is it's because he's working all night long.
- 1:05:22Because it's so fucking hot.
- 1:05:24So...
- 1:05:28I get that.
- 1:05:29Totally get that.
- 1:05:30So, reach out.
- 1:05:31Talk to your buddies.
- 1:05:32Tell them to stop isolating because they're fucking assholes.
- 1:05:35And recognize that you're an asshole too because you do the exact same thing.
- 1:05:40Oh, I'm a fucking asshole and a half.
- 1:05:43Speaking of reaching out, we do have some news with what you're about to talk about there, Oink.
- 1:05:51The Objective Zero Foundation?
- 1:05:53Yes, sir.
- 1:05:54Yes, sir.
- 1:05:55The Objective Zero Foundation, they call it a bad day plan instead of a crisis response plan for a reason.
- 1:06:01It should not feel clinical or scary.
- 1:06:03It should feel like something you build for yourself on your terms.
- 1:06:06In the Objective Zero app, which is free for any Android or iOS device,
- 1:06:10you can map out your warning signs or people and what actually helps you get through a hard day before you're in one.
- 1:06:15And if you look at it, somebody there at Objective Zero actually does have a sense of humor
- 1:06:19because they list Joe as their battle buddy and a phone number of 867-5309.
- 1:06:24So, if you haven't seen their app yet there and downloaded it or looked at them on Facebook,
- 1:06:31they do have a sense of humor just like us.
- 1:06:33But at the same time, they are serious folks.
- 1:06:36So, if you need to talk to somebody, use their filtering options and choose who you want to talk to at any given time,
- 1:06:4124/7 in all 50 states and around 27 countries around the world.
- 1:06:45So, the thing is, you're not alone.
- 1:06:47We want you to reach out.
- 1:06:49Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:06:50They have a ton of free resources within the Objective Zero app.
- 1:06:55If you want to pay for them, you can, but they have a lot of free resources.
- 1:06:58Places that you can reach out to, resources for finances, I believe, some type of childcare, family care, things like that.
- 1:07:08Just go through it and use those resources to your advantage.
- 1:07:13They're there for a reason.
- 1:07:14They're not there just to sit and be pretty.
- 1:07:17So, use them.
- 1:07:19ObjectiveZero.org.
- 1:07:21Grab it.
- 1:07:22Have it.
- 1:07:23You don't know when you or a battle might need it.
- 1:07:26I guess that's all.
- 1:07:30It feels like tonight's show went really fucking quickly.
- 1:07:34It did.
- 1:07:36It's kind of good to have, you know, basically the older, you know, the old school crew around just hanging out, shooting shit.
- 1:07:43Except for Chris.
- 1:07:44Fuck that guy.
- 1:07:45I was going to say, call the old mother fucking Dean.
- 1:07:47[Laughter]
- 1:07:50You're the FNG still.
- 1:07:52[Laughter]
- 1:07:53Well, you are retired.
- 1:07:55[Laughter]
- 1:07:57That's one step closer.
- 1:07:59[Laughter]
- 1:08:02Fuck me.
- 1:08:03Yeah.
- 1:08:04It did go by fast, but we did have some fun.
- 1:08:07I hope you all enjoyed it.
- 1:08:08Thank you for tuning in.
- 1:08:09We love each and every one of you.
- 1:08:11We appreciate your support, whether it's buying something, sharing the podcast, sharing posts.
- 1:08:15It doesn't matter as long as you help push our name out there.
- 1:08:18For Chris "J.J." Oink, I'm Bowen Wood. You just heard Barrick's talk right here on WDVR-DVRadio.net.
- 1:08:25Until next week, bucksickles.
- 1:08:27Bye-bye.
- 1:08:28Hit us up on Facebook and Twitter.
