- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're picking up where we
- 0:06Speaker 1: left off with Bill Clinton and his transcript from his
- 0:10Speaker 1: trip to Congress. Question. It's also been reported that in 2011,
- 0:19Speaker 1: your advisor Doug Band instructed an aide to remove Ms.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Maxwell from all attendance-related lists for Clinton-related events. This was
- 0:27Speaker 1: reportedly in wake of Virginia Roberts' and the allegations that
- 0:30Speaker 1: she made, at the time, against many people, including Ms. Maxwell.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Do you have any memory or knowledge of Mr. Ben's
- 0:36Speaker 1: instruction that I just described? Answer, I don't. Question, okay,
- 0:41Speaker 1: thank you. That takes us through most of the known
- 0:43Speaker 1: timeline of your relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. There's just one
- 0:47Speaker 1: more topic that I would like to cover. That is
- 0:50Speaker 1: the Clinton Global Initiative. In 2007, Epstein's lawyer claimed that
- 0:54Speaker 1: he was part of the original group that conceived the
- 0:57Speaker 1: Clinton Global Initiative. Would you agree with that characterization? Answer, no. Question,
- 1:02Speaker 1: can you elaborate a little bit why you would not
- 1:04Speaker 1: agree with that? Answer, I would not agree with that
- 1:08Speaker 1: because the first time I ever discussed that, what would
- 1:10Speaker 1: become the Clinton Global Initiative was with Doug Band and
- 1:14Speaker 1: the rest of our small group on the way back
- 1:16Speaker 1: from Davos. And Doug said that we should have a
- 1:19Speaker 1: meeting with this guy in New York at the opening
- 1:21Speaker 1: of the UN. And we can make a lot of
- 1:23Speaker 1: money because you don't have to go to Davos. And
- 1:27Speaker 1: you can meet all these people and they'll all be here.
- 1:29Speaker 1: And I said, I want to do it for an
- 1:32Speaker 1: entirely different reason. It's fine if we make money. But
- 1:35Speaker 1: the most important thing is that we can give serious
- 1:38Speaker 1: people a chance to go to meetings and actually make
- 1:41Speaker 1: commitments to make positive change. I'm tired of going to
- 1:44Speaker 1: meetings where everybody just bloviates and doesn't ever do a
- 1:47Speaker 1: damn thing. So if we can figure out how to
- 1:49Speaker 1: do that, I'm interested. And then we got a team
- 1:53Speaker 1: to operationalize it. It was Doug Band, Mary Morrison, who
- 1:57Speaker 1: worked for me in the inner office at the White House,
- 1:59Speaker 1: and a man named Ed Hughes, who was a wonderful
- 2:01Speaker 1: young guy who stayed with us the whole 12 years.
- 2:04Speaker 1: And they were working on how to stand up and
- 2:07Speaker 1: do the mechanics of this. And my job was to
- 2:09Speaker 1: try to get some people who would come that people
- 2:12Speaker 1: would want to hear and see and try to make
- 2:15Speaker 1: it exciting and make people actually want to make commitments.
- 2:18Speaker 1: And so I think it was at that point that
- 2:20Speaker 1: Ghislaine may have gotten involved. I don't know. You can
- 2:23Speaker 1: ask him about it. But I'm just telling you how
- 2:26Speaker 1: it began. It began with Doug said, let's do this
- 2:29Speaker 1: and make money. And me saying, let's do this and
- 2:32Speaker 1: make commitments. Question, I think the question, Mr. President, which
- 2:36Speaker 1: you've answered was, was Jeffrey Epstein involved in the initiation? Answer,
- 2:42Speaker 1: at that time, no, not at all. Question, okay. But
- 2:47Speaker 1: I do know what happened after, but I do not
- 2:49Speaker 1: know what happened after, says Clinton. Question, It's been publicly
- 2:53Speaker 1: reported that in 2006, Mr. Epstein made a $ 25, 000 donation
- 2:57Speaker 1: to the Clinton Foundation. Do you have any specific knowledge
- 3:01Speaker 1: or recollection of that donation? Answer, no. I saw it
- 3:04Speaker 1: was reported. I don't know. Question, thank you. With respect
- 3:08Speaker 1: to Ms. Maxwell, and you just touched on it very briefly,
- 3:11Speaker 1: she told DOJ last year that she was very central
- 3:14Speaker 1: to the startup of the Clinton Global Initiative. Would you
- 3:17Speaker 1: agree with that characterization? Answer, I would agree that she
- 3:21Speaker 1: worked hard. I now know I didn't at the time
- 3:25Speaker 1: because as I explained, I was working on a whole
- 3:27Speaker 1: nother part of this. Oh, sure you were. Had no
- 3:30Speaker 1: idea that Glenn Maxwell was involved, huh? People that have
- 3:33Speaker 1: given Clinton a pass here should reevaluate because he still
- 3:37Speaker 1: has some questions to answer. Question, if I could ask
- 3:42Speaker 1: you to limit your answer to your knowledge at the time. Answer,
- 3:46Speaker 1: at the time, I didn't know. Question, thank you. The
- 3:48Speaker 1: New York Times recently reported that in 2004, Ms. Maxwell...
- 3:52Speaker 1: arranged a $ 1 million payment to an events company called
- 3:55Speaker 1: Publicis Group, and that the payment may have had some
- 3:58Speaker 1: connection with the first Clinton Global Initiative conference in 2005.
- 4:01Speaker 1: The reporting suggests that Mr. Epstein may have been involved
- 4:06Speaker 1: with the payment, or somehow aware of the payment. Do
- 4:10Speaker 1: you have any specific memory or knowledge or recollection of
- 4:13Speaker 1: the $ 1 million payment that I just described? Clinton, no. Question,
- 4:17Speaker 1: it's also been reported that in September of 2013, At
- 4:21Speaker 1: a Clinton Global Initiative conference, Ms. Maxwell was recognized as
- 4:25Speaker 1: a commitment to Action Partner for her work on behalf
- 4:28Speaker 1: of the Terramar Project, which was an ocean conservation nonprofit
- 4:32Speaker 1: that she founded in 2012. Do you have any memory
- 4:35Speaker 1: or knowledge of that conference? Clinton, I do. Question, great.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Could you describe it a little bit, what you recall? Answer, yeah,
- 4:43Speaker 1: because this shows you how the CGI work, not for Ghislaine,
- 4:47Speaker 1: for everybody. First, she was still with Ted Wade. And
- 4:50Speaker 1: he was still heavily involved in ocean work. So that
- 4:53Speaker 1: was sort of an incentive. But she had organized this
- 4:56Speaker 1: group whose objective was to, in fact, take two massive
- 5:00Speaker 1: islands made of metal and junk out of the Atlantic.
- 5:03Speaker 1: And they were floating around. One of them had gotten
- 5:05Speaker 1: to the Caribbean. They were floating around in all this metal.
- 5:09Speaker 1: So that was what she was trying to do. It
- 5:11Speaker 1: was a good idea. And she was recognized for that.
- 5:15Speaker 1: The fact that she was recognized was not particularly remarkable.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Everybody who makes a commitment goes through a photo line
- 5:21Speaker 1: and gets recognized. Question, do you have any personal role
- 5:25Speaker 1: in Ms. Maxwell's recognition at that event or Bill Clinton? No.
- 5:29Speaker 1: I might have been in the room at the time
- 5:31Speaker 1: that she got it. No, they put the recognition in
- 5:34Speaker 1: the room. I remember this specifically because it was where
- 5:37Speaker 1: all the ocean freaks were. All the people that cared
- 5:40Speaker 1: about this, that wanted to be, so that's why they
- 5:43Speaker 1: wanted those things announced there. Question, by ocean freaks, you
- 5:46Speaker 1: mean people who are passionate about the ocean? Clinton, yeah. Question,
- 5:49Speaker 1: thank you. Clinton, I mean, people who were fascinated about
- 5:53Speaker 1: doing this, it was great, and so I didn't think
- 5:56Speaker 1: anything about it. Question, do you have any additional knowledge
- 6:00Speaker 1: or recollection related to Ms. Maxwell's role at the event? Answer, no. Question,
- 6:05Speaker 1: reportedly in February of 2014, you had dinner with Ms.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Maxwell and others in Los Angeles at a vegan restaurant
- 6:12Speaker 1: called Crossroads Kitchen. That dinner may have been organized by
- 6:16Speaker 1: your then-deputy chief staff, John Davidson, perhaps around 20 guests.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Do you have any recollection of the dinner I just described? Answer,
- 6:24Speaker 1: I had a lot of dinners like that in Los Angeles,
- 6:27Speaker 1: so I don't remember that specific one. But whenever I
- 6:30Speaker 1: went to Los Angeles, I attempted to have dinner someplace
- 6:32Speaker 1: in public with a lot of friends, just to keep
- 6:35Speaker 1: in touch with them, you know, keep going. Question, as
- 6:38Speaker 1: far as you recall, when was the last time you
- 6:40Speaker 1: had any form of communication with Ms. Maxwell? Clinton, it
- 6:44Speaker 1: must have been a decade ago. It may be even longer.
- 6:47Speaker 1: I don't know, but it was a long time ago. Question, Mr. President.
- 6:51Speaker 1: It's a pleasure to be here, and quickly, on a
- 6:53Speaker 1: lighter note, a point of personal privilege. My birthday is
- 6:57Speaker 1: November 5th, 1974, which shouldn't mean anything to you. But
- 7:01Speaker 1: what it means is that I turned 18 two days
- 7:04Speaker 1: after the election, and I couldn't vote, and I'm still
- 7:07Speaker 1: upset about that. So on behalf of my mom, I apologize.
- 7:11Speaker 1: She was a little slow. I mean, really? Speaker 31,
- 7:16Speaker 1: whoever you are, what a clown. Embarrassment-ass clown. Now, President Clinton,
- 7:23Speaker 1: as counsel noted at the beginning of the deposition, Donald
- 7:25Speaker 1: Trump posted on social media that he wanted Attorney General
- 7:29Speaker 1: Pam Bondi to investigate you and other prominent Democrats in
- 7:32Speaker 1: order to distract from his own close ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
- 7:36Speaker 1: The post was previously marked as Minority Exhibit B, which
- 7:39Speaker 1: you already have. President Trump's post refers to Jeffrey Epstein's
- 7:43Speaker 1: crimes against young girls and women as the Epstein hoax.
- 7:47Speaker 1: His post also completely ignores several other high-profile individuals, including
- 7:52Speaker 1: Republicans and allies of President Trump, who are known to
- 7:56Speaker 1: have relationships with Epstein. In fact, the Epstein files contain
- 8:00Speaker 1: numerous officials in the current and previous Trump administrations who
- 8:04Speaker 1: have connections to Jeffrey Epstein, including Howard Lutnick, RFK Jr.,
- 8:08Speaker 1: Steve Bannon, Tom Barrett, Kevin Warsh, and Mehmet Oz, to
- 8:12Speaker 1: name a few. President Clinton, to your knowledge, has the
- 8:15Speaker 1: Trump administration done anything at all to investigate these other
- 8:19Speaker 1: individuals with ties to Epstein? How would Bill Clinton know that?
- 8:24Speaker 1: This is a dog and pony show, like I've told
- 8:26Speaker 1: you from the fucking beginning. Well, I wouldn't be in
- 8:30Speaker 1: a position to know they. It's the truth, as I
- 8:32Speaker 1: said earlier. The only conversation that I've had with Trump
- 8:36Speaker 1: about this was early in 2000, and I was in
- 8:39Speaker 1: no information that he had anything wrong. I just want
- 8:42Speaker 1: it all out there. I want everybody to get it
- 8:44Speaker 1: all out there and let everybody see where we are. Question,
- 8:48Speaker 1: and you had any conversations with him since the early
- 8:51Speaker 1: 2000s about the subject matter? Answer, no. Question, and then
- 8:55Speaker 1: my last question is, Howard Lutnick recently went so far
- 8:58Speaker 1: as to lie about his close connection to Jeffrey Epstein,
- 9:01Speaker 1: but the truth came out with the release of the files.
- 9:04Speaker 1: President Clinton, is Howard Lutnick still employed as Secretary of
- 9:08Speaker 1: Commerce in the Trump administration to your knowledge? Answer, I
- 9:11Speaker 1: think he is. Question, and in your opinion, why has
- 9:14Speaker 1: Donald Trump ignored these other prominent figures who had close
- 9:18Speaker 1: ties to Epstein? Well, the same reason you ignored Bill
- 9:20Speaker 1: Richardson and George Mitchell and the rest of them. Clinton,
- 9:26Speaker 1: Lutnick runs a big company and has made a lot
- 9:28Speaker 1: of money and has supported him strongly. I don't think
- 9:31Speaker 1: he believes that he's done anything bad enough. I think
- 9:34Speaker 1: he thinks he took his family to the island and
- 9:37Speaker 1: he could have done anything wrong. That's what I think
- 9:39Speaker 1: he thinks, but I'm speculating. I'm doing what I have
- 9:42Speaker 1: no business doing because I really don't know. Question. Thank you, Mr. President,
- 9:48Speaker 1: for being here for your service. I'll be brief. I
- 9:52Speaker 1: think that the most pertinent question may have been asked today.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I want to talk about transparency. You and Secretary Clinton
- 9:59Speaker 1: were both very clear about your desire to testify publicly
- 10:02Speaker 1: before this committee. In fact, on February 6th, 2026, you
- 10:06Speaker 1: posted on social media, I will not sit idly as
- 10:10Speaker 1: they use me as a prop in a closed door
- 10:11Speaker 1: kangaroo court by a Republican party running scared. If they
- 10:15Speaker 1: want answers, let's stop the games and do this the
- 10:18Speaker 1: right way. in a public hearing where the American people
- 10:21Speaker 1: can see for themselves what this is really about. Well,
- 10:24Speaker 1: we see, Mr. President, and it doesn't look good for you.
- 10:28Speaker 1: President Clinton, why do you feel it's important for you
- 10:30Speaker 1: to testify before this committee in a public setting? Answer,
- 10:34Speaker 1: because I think that first, what happens with Jeffrey Epstein
- 10:37Speaker 1: was horrible. What he did and what Glenn Maxwell was
- 10:40Speaker 1: convicted of was horrible. We can't tolerate it in America
- 10:43Speaker 1: and shouldn't. We ought to keep doing as Hillary talked
- 10:46Speaker 1: about yesterday. Try our part to get rid of that
- 10:49Speaker 1: kind of trafficking around the world. Secondly, I was on
- 10:52Speaker 1: the plane. It may have been I've said something today
- 10:55Speaker 1: that gave you some indication that would help change policy
- 10:58Speaker 1: or something. So I thought it was important. But I
- 11:01Speaker 1: also think people need to know that there's been a
- 11:03Speaker 1: little bit of a zigzag and ambivalence about how hard
- 11:06Speaker 1: this thing should have been put out there. And I'm
- 11:09Speaker 1: not pointing the figure at anybody or anything. I'm just
- 11:12Speaker 1: saying we know that. And so I think it's important
- 11:14Speaker 1: that we get it all out. Question so to be clear.
- 11:19Speaker 1: So this committee issued a subpoena to the Department of
- 11:21Speaker 1: Justice to release the full and unredacted files last summer.
- 11:25Speaker 1: There's also now the Epstein Files Transparency Act that asked
- 11:28Speaker 1: for the same that President Trump signed into law. But
- 11:32Speaker 1: still the Department of Justice under this administration has not
- 11:35Speaker 1: released all the files and there have been many illegal redactions.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Do you think that we, of course, as Congress and
- 11:42Speaker 1: the American public should get the full unredacted file immediately? Answer,
- 11:48Speaker 1: I think unless there's some serious danger of physical harm
- 11:50Speaker 1: to one of the victims, there's some national security interest
- 11:53Speaker 1: involving intelligence, because you've heard these, and some of you
- 11:56Speaker 1: think there's some intelligence issues, national security issues. I think
- 12:00Speaker 1: the rest of it ought to be gotten out, and
- 12:03Speaker 1: I think we just need to get to a point
- 12:04Speaker 1: where we can put this behind us. And then I
- 12:07Speaker 1: think you, I hope, you can and will help build
- 12:10Speaker 1: us a system that works in America the way our
- 12:12Speaker 1: international system works best, in trying to identify and stop
- 12:16Speaker 1: human trafficking in and trying to make people whole once
- 12:19Speaker 1: they've been damaged. Question and not a question, but this
- 12:23Speaker 1: is just a response, the law is very clear about
- 12:26Speaker 1: the identities of the victims. Unfortunately, the Department of Justice
- 12:30Speaker 1: has wrongfully released some of the information, including personally identifiable information,
- 12:34Speaker 1: while illegally redacting the names of potential co-conspirators. Bill Clinton,
- 12:40Speaker 1: they're going to kill me for saying this, but I
- 12:42Speaker 1: think it's important to say. I think it's entirely possible
- 12:45Speaker 1: that the people at the Justice Department I don't agree
- 12:48Speaker 1: with on nearly anything, right? But it's possible they didn't
- 12:51Speaker 1: intentionally cover some of this up. But it's hard to
- 12:54Speaker 1: accept that when you look at the other problems in
- 12:56Speaker 1: dealing with information. So you guys got to clear that up.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Clean it up. Decide how you think it should be handled. Question.
- 13:05Speaker 1: So before we go off the record, just one clarification.
- 13:09Speaker 1: It's more just for counsels. The quote from the 2024
- 13:12Speaker 1: memoir I think was accurately quoted in the first instance.
- 13:16Speaker 1: The first sentence is he, meaning Mr. Epstein, hurt a
- 13:19Speaker 1: lot of people, but I knew nothing about it. And
- 13:22Speaker 1: by the time he was first arrested in 2005, I
- 13:25Speaker 1: had not contacted him. And that's the end of the sentence.
- 13:29Speaker 1: That's page 373. So that's just for counsel. No, not
- 13:34Speaker 1: at all. They apologize, blah, blah, blah. And with that,
- 13:38Speaker 1: we can end this round and go off the record.
- 13:41Speaker 1: All right, folks, we're going to wrap up right here, too.
- 13:43Speaker 1: And in the next episode dealing with the topic, we're
- 13:45Speaker 1: going to pick up where we left off. All the
- 13:47Speaker 1: information that goes with this episode can be found in
- 13:50Speaker 1: the description box. What's up, everyone? And welcome to another
- 13:53Speaker 1: episode of the Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're picking
- 13:57Speaker 1: up where we left off with Bill Clinton and his
- 14:00Speaker 1: transcript from his trip to Congress. Question, we'll go back
- 14:04Speaker 1: on the record. Mr. President, during the last hour, there
- 14:07Speaker 1: was a discussion related to your book with Minority Council.
- 14:11Speaker 1: I just wanted to read the excerpt into the record.
- 14:13Speaker 1: And just a quick question for clarification. You said I
- 14:17Speaker 1: had always thought Epstein was odd, but had no inkling
- 14:19Speaker 1: of the crimes he was committing. He hurt a lot
- 14:21Speaker 1: of people, but I knew nothing about it. And by
- 14:24Speaker 1: the time he was first arrested in 2005, I had
- 14:27Speaker 1: stopped contact with him. We understand that Mr. Epstein was
- 14:30Speaker 1: first arrested in July of 2006. Can you explain the discrepancy?
- 14:38Speaker 1: Bill Clinton's lawyer. Are you asking him to fact check
- 14:40Speaker 1: his own book? Question, correct. Answer, okay, I mean. He
- 14:45Speaker 1: gets cut off by the person asking the questions. Can
- 14:47Speaker 1: you explain it or not? Bill Clinton, I can't. I'm sorry.
- 14:50Speaker 1: We made a mistake. Question, thank you. Now it's Nancy Mace. Question,
- 14:56Speaker 1: all right, Mr. President, Congresswoman, Nancy Mace from South Carolina.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Thank you for being here with us for hours today.
- 15:04Speaker 1: I know it's been a long day, and I know
- 15:06Speaker 1: that we're going to wrap up soon for you. Did
- 15:08Speaker 1: you know one of the witnesses who testified in the
- 15:10Speaker 1: Epstein case That Epstein said you like them young? Why
- 15:13Speaker 1: would Epstein say that about you? Clinton's lawyer jumps in.
- 15:17Speaker 1: You're asking him to think about why Mr. Epstein would
- 15:19Speaker 1: say something about? Mace cuts the lawyer off. Correct. Why
- 15:23Speaker 1: would Epstein say that about the president? Answer. So she's
- 15:28Speaker 1: asking you to try to be in Mr. Epstein's mind
- 15:31Speaker 1: and guess at what Mr. Epstein would have thought about.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Nancy Mace. Clinton likes them young. Referring to girls. Bill Clinton. Well,
- 15:40Speaker 1: first of all, that's not true. Nancy Mace, what's not true?
- 15:44Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, that I have any interest in underage. Nancy
- 15:47Speaker 1: Mace cuts him off. I didn't say underage, I said young.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, but it's still not true. Nancy Mace is
- 15:53Speaker 1: an intern young. Bill Clinton, yes. Nancy Mace, okay. Bill Clinton,
- 15:58Speaker 1: at my age, anybody younger than I am, was young.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Nancy Mace, did you know Jeffrey Epstein instructed a witness
- 16:04Speaker 1: to deny you were ever on his island? Bill Clinton,
- 16:07Speaker 1: he didn't have to, since I was never there. Nancy Mace,
- 16:11Speaker 1: did you ever travel to Zorro Ranch? Bill Clinton, is
- 16:14Speaker 1: that the one in New Mexico? Nancy Mace, yes. Bill Clinton, no. Boy,
- 16:19Speaker 1: that's a lie. We have how many witnesses that say
- 16:23Speaker 1: that he and his family used to vacation there? Nancy Mace, okay.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Have you ever flown on anyone else's private jet 26
- 16:30Speaker 1: times or more for overseas trips? Clinton, I've flown as
- 16:35Speaker 1: many miles on other jets, but never with as many stops.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Nancy Mace, yes. How many other people's planes have you used,
- 16:42Speaker 1: like Epstein's, 26 times or miles, etc.? Clinton, I don't know.
- 16:47Speaker 1: I did with Steve Bing, who's now deceased, and probably
- 16:50Speaker 1: with four or five others. Nancy Mace, okay. Bill Clinton,
- 16:54Speaker 1: I'd like to think. Mace, so maybe about a half
- 16:57Speaker 1: a dozen times. Billionaires total or so? Bill Clinton, yeah.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Nancy Mace, how many dinners did you have with Glenn
- 17:05Speaker 1: Maxwell or Jeffrey Epstein in attendance? The lawyer jumps in.
- 17:10Speaker 1: She's asking to the best of your recollection. Bill Clinton,
- 17:13Speaker 1: I have no idea. Question by Mace. Okay. Did you
- 17:17Speaker 1: ever discuss sexual misconduct allegations made against you with Epstein
- 17:20Speaker 1: or Maxwell? Clinton, never. Question. Did Epstein or Maxwell offer
- 17:26Speaker 1: to help manage or silence women who made sexual misconduct
- 17:29Speaker 1: allegations against you? Clinton, no. Question. Did Epstein or Maxwell
- 17:34Speaker 1: ever offer financial support directly to or indirectly to legal
- 17:38Speaker 1: defense funds related to impeachment proceedings or civil actions against you? Clinton,
- 17:43Speaker 1: not to my knowledge. Question, do you think a young
- 17:46Speaker 1: girl massaging a president is unusual? Lawyer, are you asking
- 17:51Speaker 1: his opinion? Nancy Mace, well, he was massaged by a
- 17:56Speaker 1: young woman. I'm asking if he thinks it's unusual that
- 17:58Speaker 1: a sitting president of the United States, leader of the
- 18:02Speaker 1: free world, that it's unusual. Speaker, so I'm sorry, a
- 18:06Speaker 1: young woman. Would be, are you talking the instance of
- 18:10Speaker 1: the back massage? Mace, yes. Is it unusual that a
- 18:14Speaker 1: young woman would be massaging? Lawyer jumps in, that occurred
- 18:18Speaker 1: while he was not president. I'm just trying to understand.
- 18:21Speaker 1: You said president of the United States. Nancy Mace, former president. Lawyer,
- 18:26Speaker 1: thank you. Just trying to make sure that we're correcting
- 18:28Speaker 1: the time frame. Mace, are you filibustering? Lawyer, no, I
- 18:32Speaker 1: don't need to. Mace, okay. Lawyer, I'm actually trying to
- 18:37Speaker 1: make sure that you gets cut off by Mace. I
- 18:41Speaker 1: speak pretty clearly. He said inaudible. Lawyer, once again, you
- 18:46Speaker 1: said he was a sitting president. Now another speaker jumps in.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Excuse me, excuse me. Could we just please go one
- 18:52Speaker 1: at a time? Thank you. Lawyer, you said sitting president.
- 18:56Speaker 1: I want to be clear so that when he answers you, Mace,
- 19:00Speaker 1: when you were sitting president, however you want to do it. Speaker,
- 19:03Speaker 1: the record is clear. Nancy Mace, is it unusual? The lawyer, objection.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, I have no idea if it's unusual or not. Lawyer,
- 19:12Speaker 1: objection calls for speculation. Nancy Mace, I figured. Did you
- 19:17Speaker 1: ever think that all these women around Jeffrey Epstein or
- 19:19Speaker 1: Glenn Maxwell was odd, unusual, weird, or creepy? Bill Clinton,
- 19:24Speaker 1: there weren't all that many around when I was there. Question,
- 19:28Speaker 1: how many would you say is not that many? Clinton,
- 19:31Speaker 1: I think on this big plane that... Was working long hours,
- 19:35Speaker 1: having two to four people on there? I thought was
- 19:37Speaker 1: as far as I knew, they were all helping. Nancy Mace,
- 19:40Speaker 1: flight attendants and tank tops and jeans, right? Clinton, no. Mace,
- 19:45Speaker 1: do you believe you were a victim of Jeffrey Epstein's
- 19:47Speaker 1: intel operation? Do you think that you might have been
- 19:50Speaker 1: caught up in some of what he was maybe potentially doing?
- 19:54Speaker 1: Lawyer jumps in. Excuse me, counselor, which question are you asking?
- 19:59Speaker 1: Nancy Mace, I'm asking if she gets cut off by
- 20:02Speaker 1: the lawyer. Intel operation? Mace, some type of intel operation.
- 20:06Speaker 1: I'm just curious. because it's been speculated on today and yesterday. Clinton,
- 20:11Speaker 1: I understand. Mace, that he may have been an intel asset.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Do you think perhaps knowing what we know now, the
- 20:19Speaker 1: proclivity of it all, that he may have been targeting
- 20:22Speaker 1: you as part of an intel operation? Clinton, I doubt it.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Nancy Mace, okay. In 2019, after he was arrested, I
- 20:30Speaker 1: guess this would be the second time. You stated you
- 20:32Speaker 1: knew nothing of Epstein's terrible crimes, since you only met briefly,
- 20:36Speaker 1: on only two occasions. Was this statement false? Lawyer jumps in.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Excuse me, counsel. Could you put in the record? The lawyer,
- 20:45Speaker 1: another lawyer jumps in. That's not an accurate statement. Can
- 20:48Speaker 1: you please share with us? Nancy Mace. Yeah. In 2019,
- 20:53Speaker 1: it's reported by the media. Lawyer, which media? Nancy Mace.
- 20:59Speaker 1: This says this is the gets cut off by the lawyer.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Could you share a copy, please? Nancy Mace. OK, Deli Beast.
- 21:06Speaker 1: It says the title of this. Bill Clinton failed to
- 21:08Speaker 1: mention his intimate 1995 dinner with Epstein. Lawyer, we can
- 21:13Speaker 1: give counsel and the witness, Jack Emmer, a moment to
- 21:16Speaker 1: review the exhibit. Lawyer, well, we'd like this statement. I mean,
- 21:21Speaker 1: he put out the statement in 2019. Bill Clinton, I
- 21:24Speaker 1: don't know anything about that. Another lawyer, this time for
- 21:28Speaker 1: the Republicans, a full statement. Jack Emmer jumps in. It'll
- 21:34Speaker 1: be marked Exhibit 22. Same lawyer as before, so to
- 21:37Speaker 1: be clear, the basis of your question is a news
- 21:40Speaker 1: article with respect to the Daily Beast as to a dinner.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Is that accurate? Nancy Mace, nope. It's a question in
- 21:46Speaker 1: the first paragraph which reads, Hours inaudible. Jeffrey Epstein was
- 21:50Speaker 1: arraigned Monday on several sex trafficking charges. Former President Bill
- 21:55Speaker 1: Clinton publicly downplayed his relationship with the pedophile financier, saying
- 21:59Speaker 1: he knew nothing of the terrible crimes since they only
- 22:02Speaker 1: met briefly on two occasions. And that's in the Daily Beast,
- 22:06Speaker 1: is that not? Nancy Mace, correct, which is in your
- 22:10Speaker 1: hand right now. Question right, that's what I just said. Mace, yeah. Speaker,
- 22:15Speaker 1: thank you. Bill Clinton, what would you like to know? Question,
- 22:19Speaker 1: my question is, by Nancy Mace, you stated you'd only
- 22:22Speaker 1: met Epstein in 2019. You say you'd only met him
- 22:25Speaker 1: on two occasions. Was this statement false when you made it?
- 22:29Speaker 1: Lawyer jumps in, to be clear, this is a news
- 22:31Speaker 1: reporting that is saying that's what he said. Nancy Mace,
- 22:35Speaker 1: did you make that statement in 2019? Lawyer, would you
- 22:38Speaker 1: put that in that statement that he made? This is
- 22:41Speaker 1: a news report. It's double hearsay. Nancy Mace, no. Did
- 22:44Speaker 1: you make the statement in 2019 as reported by the media? Lawyer,
- 22:49Speaker 1: so you're asking whether or not he made the statement
- 22:52Speaker 1: to the Deli Beast? Mace, no. It says quote. It's
- 22:55Speaker 1: quoting him or his office, etc. Are you denying that
- 22:59Speaker 1: you made the statement? Lawyer, it's quoting a sentence. If
- 23:03Speaker 1: you put the entire statement, that's all we ask, to
- 23:05Speaker 1: be fair. Give him the statement, not what has been
- 23:08Speaker 1: reported on. I have no idea what the Daily Beast
- 23:10Speaker 1: take is. Lawyer, the statement was released that was broader
- 23:15Speaker 1: than this, and they relied on only a portion of it.
- 23:18Speaker 1: They relied on only a portion of his full statement.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Nancy Mace, and that's the portion I'm focusing on. Lawyer,
- 23:25Speaker 1: well then, so it's actually a misrepresentation of his entire statement. Yo,
- 23:29Speaker 1: have you guys noticed what's going on here? The only
- 23:32Speaker 1: person that has his lawyers fighting the battle for him
- 23:34Speaker 1: during this transcript process is Bill Clinton. I wonder why.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Nancy Mace. Well, can you let your client answer? Lawyer. Well,
- 23:44Speaker 1: can you ask it in a way that would make
- 23:46Speaker 1: it clear what you're actually asking? Mace. I made it
- 23:49Speaker 1: very clear. His statement said that he met with Jeffrey Epstein.
- 23:52Speaker 1: The lawyer. Is the broader question of what did he say? Mace.
- 23:56Speaker 1: He said he briefly met with him on only two occasions. Lawyer. No,
- 24:01Speaker 1: the Daily Beast selected that piece out. Mace, so you're
- 24:05Speaker 1: denying that the president made the statement? Lawyer, what I'm
- 24:08Speaker 1: saying is that there is an entire statement that the
- 24:11Speaker 1: statement on which the president spoke to. Nancy Mace, I'd
- 24:15Speaker 1: like to provide it to the committee. Lawyer, we're happy
- 24:17Speaker 1: to provide that to the committee. Mace, okay, I would
- 24:20Speaker 1: like to ask the president this question. Was that a
- 24:24Speaker 1: false statement that you made in 2019 that you only
- 24:27Speaker 1: met with Jeffrey Epstein on two occasions? Lawyer, object to
- 24:30Speaker 1: the basis of the question. You're asking him about a
- 24:33Speaker 1: news article, not the statement he made. Nancy Mace, I'm
- 24:36Speaker 1: quoting him. I'm quoting the president of the United States.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Are you denying the president made the statement? Are you
- 24:42Speaker 1: denying he made the statement? I want to know. Lawyer, no,
- 24:45Speaker 1: I'm telling you that the president made a full statement.
- 24:47Speaker 1: You're selecting a piece of it. Let's put in the
- 24:50Speaker 1: entire statement that he made. Nancy Mace, I wasn't in
- 24:54Speaker 1: federal office in 2019. I was not part of this committee.
- 24:58Speaker 1: I was the state house rep. from Goose Creek, South Carolina,
- 25:02Speaker 1: and I'm quoting open sources that I have, to the
- 25:04Speaker 1: best of my knowledge. I'm not rich with a bunch
- 25:07Speaker 1: of attorneys, okay? I'm doing the best that I can
- 25:09Speaker 1: to get the information that I can. And I'm asking
- 25:12Speaker 1: the president was telling a lie in 2019 when he
- 25:15Speaker 1: stated to the public he'd only met with Epstein on
- 25:18Speaker 1: two occasions. Lawyer, he didn't say that. He didn't say
- 25:22Speaker 1: to the public, you misrepresented. Congressman Mace, let me be clear.
- 25:27Speaker 1: I'm not asking about your right to ask him questions.
- 25:30Speaker 1: But don't do it on the basis of a news article.
- 25:32Speaker 1: The news article is quoting his statement. Nancy Mace, so
- 25:35Speaker 1: is this news article lying? Is the news article false? Lawyer,
- 25:40Speaker 1: it's false if you take it to mean what you
- 25:42Speaker 1: just say, that the statement did not do. Nancy Mace,
- 25:46Speaker 1: do you understand English? Seriously. Lawyer, I think I do.
- 25:50Speaker 1: I'm not from South Carolina, but I think I do.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Nancy Mace, did you make a statement, Mr. President, in
- 25:57Speaker 1: 2019 that you only met with Jeffrey Epstein twice? I'm
- 26:00Speaker 1: asking the question a different way. Bill Clinton, I have
- 26:03Speaker 1: no idea. But I think that when I answer that,
- 26:05Speaker 1: I don't believe I remembered anything about meeting him in 1995. Mace,
- 26:10Speaker 1: so when making a statement about Jeffrey Epstein in 2019,
- 26:14Speaker 1: would you have checked with your staff on maybe White
- 26:17Speaker 1: House logs about the 17 times he visited, dinners you
- 26:20Speaker 1: had with him, fundraising that you did with him, fundraising
- 26:23Speaker 1: dinners he was on? You were on his flights 26 times.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Would you have checked with your staff before making such
- 26:28Speaker 1: a statement? Lawyer, Congresswoman Mace, what statement are you talking about?
- 26:34Speaker 1: Are you talking about the entire statement that he made
- 26:37Speaker 1: in 2019? Ms. Mace, can I just ask you, can
- 26:41Speaker 1: I ask you for the record? Mace, excuse me? Lawyer, Ms. Mace,
- 26:45Speaker 1: can I ask you for the record? Can you read
- 26:47Speaker 1: the article into the record, please? Nancy Mace, I'm not
- 26:50Speaker 1: going to read the article into the record. Lawyer, well, Ms. Mace,
- 26:53Speaker 1: you're indicating that this article misrepresents the piece. Could you
- 26:57Speaker 1: read the article into the record? Redacted, read an article
- 27:00Speaker 1: into the record. I'm not going to do that. You're
- 27:03Speaker 1: not in charge of me. I'm quoting from the article. Lawyer,
- 27:06Speaker 1: I'm not seeking to be in charge of you, believe me.
- 27:08Speaker 1: That is something I would not at all seek to be.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Nancy Mace, don't even try. Lawyer, so I want to
- 27:14Speaker 1: be respectful, but I'm asking if you're asking him to
- 27:17Speaker 1: speak this, can you please put the entire article on
- 27:20Speaker 1: the record? Nancy Mace, the entire article is in the
- 27:23Speaker 1: record as an exhibit. What exhibit number is this? Jack Emmer,
- 27:27Speaker 1: number 22- Nancy Mace, 22, lawyer for Clinton, and still,
- 27:32Speaker 1: Jack Emmer, counsel. Nancy Mace jumps in, it's already in
- 27:36Speaker 1: the record. Jack Emmer now jumps in. The question has
- 27:39Speaker 1: been clarified to reflect only the small portion of the
- 27:42Speaker 1: larger statement, to whatever extent the witness is able to
- 27:45Speaker 1: answer to his recollection of that portion of the statement,
- 27:48Speaker 1: and any preparation that occurred to make that statement. Lawyer,
- 27:52Speaker 1: so in other words, what you have just articulated, that
- 27:55Speaker 1: the question's been clarified by Ms. Mace, or by you,
- 27:59Speaker 1: that what is intended is to actually only be speaking
- 28:01Speaker 1: to the selected piece out of the entire statement that
- 28:04Speaker 1: was released by the president's office. Is that what you're clarifying?
- 28:08Speaker 1: Nancy Mace, that's what I'm focused on, yes. Bill Clinton, okay,
- 28:12Speaker 1: so if you read this, you really want to know
- 28:15Speaker 1: is if I was at a dinner. Nancy Mace, no,
- 28:17Speaker 1: I don't. My question was on that statement. Bill Clinton,
- 28:22Speaker 1: that Ron Perlman gave? Mace, no, sir, no, sir. I'm
- 28:26Speaker 1: not asking about the dinner. I'm asking about the statement
- 28:29Speaker 1: at the beginning of the article. I would like to
- 28:31Speaker 1: ask you another question. Your statement in 2019 about only
- 28:35Speaker 1: meeting with Epstein on two occasions briefly. The lawyer, that
- 28:39Speaker 1: is not a direct. I'm going to object to that characterization.
- 28:42Speaker 1: That's not what the statement says. Nancy Mace, okay, so
- 28:46Speaker 1: the third paragraph down. Lawyer, you're reading the Daily Beast article?
- 28:50Speaker 1: Nancy Mace, by the way, and on the third paragraph
- 28:53Speaker 1: down it says, In his Monday statement, Clinton said he
- 28:56Speaker 1: had only one meeting with Epstein in his Harlem office
- 28:59Speaker 1: in 2002, and around the same time made one brief
- 29:03Speaker 1: visit to Epstein's New York apartment with a staff member
- 29:06Speaker 1: and his security detail. Those are the two meetings that
- 29:09Speaker 1: were referenced. Lawyer, that's in addition to this. The Daily
- 29:14Speaker 1: Beast Bill Clinton failed to mention his intimate dinner in
- 29:18Speaker 1: 1995 with Epstein. That's by Pilar Melendez on the 11th
- 29:21Speaker 1: of July, 2019. Nancy Mace. All right, Mr. President, your
- 29:26Speaker 1: statement saying you only met with Epstein briefly twice. Was
- 29:29Speaker 1: that part of an effort to cover up your close
- 29:31Speaker 1: relationship with Jeffrey Epstein? Lawyer object to the form of
- 29:35Speaker 1: the question. Misstates the record she's asking if you were
- 29:39Speaker 1: trying to mislead the public Bill Clinton no Nancy Mace
- 29:43Speaker 1: okay how many times did Glenn Maxwell visit your home
- 29:46Speaker 1: in Chappaqua Bill Clinton I have no idea Nancy Mace
- 29:49Speaker 1: who invited her Bill Clinton well I don't know I
- 29:52Speaker 1: don't know how she may have been the lawyer jumps
- 29:55Speaker 1: in Mr. President that's it Nancy Mace okay Bill Clinton,
- 30:00Speaker 1: Hillary had political events there. Nancy Mace, okay, so to
- 30:04Speaker 1: your knowledge, was she at your home in Chappaqua? Likely
- 30:08Speaker 1: because your wife had her over for Senate events. That's
- 30:12Speaker 1: what you testified earlier today, correct? Lawyer, that's not what
- 30:15Speaker 1: he testified, but please ask the question as to what
- 30:18Speaker 1: he would actually thank you. I appreciate it. Bill Clinton,
- 30:22Speaker 1: I don't know, but if you're implying the reverse, I'll
- 30:24Speaker 1: volunteer something. She was never at my house in Chappaqua
- 30:27Speaker 1: for any personal reason. Nancy Mace, I didn't say anything
- 30:31Speaker 1: for personal reasons. Clinton, no you didn't, but you had
- 30:34Speaker 1: a great tone in your voice. The lawyer, Mr. President,
- 30:38Speaker 1: let's just, Nancy Mace, thank you. I'll take that as
- 30:41Speaker 1: a compliment. Bill Clinton, it is a compliment. Nancy Grace,
- 30:45Speaker 1: thank you. And I didn't go to Yale Law School,
- 30:48Speaker 1: or any law school for that matter. Yesterday, your wife,
- 30:51Speaker 1: she testified that Ghislaine Maxwell was never at her home.
- 30:54Speaker 1: And I believe you stated earlier today, you thought that
- 30:56Speaker 1: if she was over there, it would be for Senate events.
- 30:59Speaker 1: So was your wife falsely testifying yesterday? Warrior jumps in, objection,
- 31:04Speaker 1: mischaracterizes in his wife's testimony yesterday. And so unless you
- 31:09Speaker 1: are all going to provide the transcript or you're going
- 31:11Speaker 1: to factually provide that information, he's not in a position
- 31:14Speaker 1: where he can address that. Bill Clinton, I believe all
- 31:19Speaker 1: I said was that I didn't know what she had done.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Nancy Mace, you postured that maybe it was for her Senate.
- 31:25Speaker 1: I'm going to have one last question, Mr. Chairman, and
- 31:28Speaker 1: then you can take over. I believe you stated today,
- 31:30Speaker 1: and I know it's been a number of years, on
- 31:32Speaker 1: or around 2008, you, or before that, ended any communication
- 31:36Speaker 1: with Jeffrey Epstein, correct? Bill Clinton, that's correct. Question, around
- 31:41Speaker 1: the time he got arrested, or right beforehand, and he
- 31:43Speaker 1: was arrested for child sex prostitution, or hiring girls for sex,
- 31:47Speaker 1: or one girl for sex, correct? Roughly child sexual exploitation.
- 31:52Speaker 1: If you were aware in 2008 that Jeffrey Epstein was
- 31:55Speaker 1: having sex with kids... And you knew of his close
- 31:57Speaker 1: association with Glenn Maxwell. Why would you still associate with
- 32:02Speaker 1: Glenn Maxwell, who you dubbed essentially like your Doug Band?
- 32:06Speaker 1: She was the body man to Epstein. Doug Band was
- 32:08Speaker 1: the body man to you. And why would you allow
- 32:10Speaker 1: Glenn Maxwell to associate with your daughter up until, I
- 32:13Speaker 1: don't know, 2015? You knew he was a bad guy.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Why would you allow your daughter to? Lawyer jumps in.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Excuse me? What's the period in which you're saying he
- 32:23Speaker 1: would have known that Epstein was a bad guy? Mace,
- 32:26Speaker 1: after 2008. So up until Glenn Maxwell was involved with CGI,
- 32:30Speaker 1: until what, 2015? Clinton, yeah. Mace. And we confirmed today
- 32:35Speaker 1: that he had a dinner with Glenn Maxwell in LA
- 32:39Speaker 1: in 2014. So he's still hanging out with close associates,
- 32:43Speaker 1: the closest associate to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. I guess
- 32:49Speaker 1: my question is why? Lawyer. Yes, but question, excuse me,
- 32:52Speaker 1: is the question why Ghislaine Maxwell came to the wedding?
- 32:55Speaker 1: Is that the question? Mace, I didn't even bring up
- 32:58Speaker 1: the wedding. Lawyer, okay, sorry. Nancy Mace, why are you obfuscating?
- 33:03Speaker 1: Why are you putting words in my mouth? You're smarter
- 33:05Speaker 1: than that. Bill Clinton, let me finish. I think first
- 33:09Speaker 1: of all, when the wedding occurred, she was with Ted Wade,
- 33:12Speaker 1: and she was for several more years. We didn't know
- 33:14Speaker 1: when Epstein was arrested that she was involved with him.
- 33:17Speaker 1: I think that clears a lot of things up. We
- 33:19Speaker 1: didn't know. And I don't want all of you to get,
- 33:22Speaker 1: we're all getting in a lather here. There's a logical explanation.
- 33:25Speaker 1: We didn't know. And I'm sorry for what she did
- 33:28Speaker 1: and for what she allowed her life to become. And
- 33:31Speaker 1: now she's living with it. Nancy Mace. And I have
- 33:33Speaker 1: one final short question. I promise I'm done. I was
- 33:37Speaker 1: severely and heavily duped by an individual in my life
- 33:40Speaker 1: about two and a half years ago. It's very publicly
- 33:42Speaker 1: well known. You graduated from Georgetown and Yale, correct? Clinton, yeah. Question,
- 33:48Speaker 1: how do you think Elaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein duped
- 33:51Speaker 1: so many powerful and smart people? Fully connected, powerful people
- 33:54Speaker 1: around the world? Bill Clinton, I really don't know. But
- 33:58Speaker 1: I don't know. I've thought a lot about it. Speaker, lawyer, Mr. President,
- 34:03Speaker 1: that's it. Bill Clinton, and if you can figure it out,
- 34:07Speaker 1: I'd like to know. Nancy Mace, thank you. Mr. President
- 34:11Speaker 1: and Mr. Chairman, I yield back. All right, we're going
- 34:14Speaker 1: to wrap up right there. And in the next episode
- 34:16Speaker 1: dealing with the topic we're going to pick up where
- 34:18Speaker 1: we left off. All the information that goes with this
- 34:21Speaker 1: episode can be found in the description box. What's up
- 34:25Speaker 1: everyone and welcome to another episode of the Epstein Chronicles.
- 34:30Speaker 1: In this episode we're diving right back in to that
- 34:32Speaker 1: Bill Clinton transcript from his conversation with Congress. And the
- 34:36Speaker 1: next person asking questions is Anna Paulina Luna. Question, Mr. President,
- 34:43Speaker 1: I just wanted to do a couple follow-ups. Regarding your
- 34:45Speaker 1: personal conversation with Mr. Epstein, you said that he wanted
- 34:49Speaker 1: to discuss economic and political questions. Was there ever a
- 34:52Speaker 1: particular region of the world or topics that he wanted
- 34:55Speaker 1: to address? Answer, I do remember that he was interested
- 34:59Speaker 1: in two places that I was setting up AIDS work
- 35:01Speaker 1: in Asia and Africa. And Asia, he wanted to know
- 35:05Speaker 1: if I thought it was going to be the Asian
- 35:07Speaker 1: century and the thing would be sustainable. And in that,
- 35:11Speaker 1: He wanted to know whether I believe that you could
- 35:14Speaker 1: have inaudible prosperity there, whether they could achieve something that
- 35:18Speaker 1: they'd never achieved before. Question. It seems that Mr. Epstein
- 35:22Speaker 1: also had a similar question about America's prosperity and economic policy.
- 35:27Speaker 1: Did you feel that when he was asking questions, particularly
- 35:30Speaker 1: maybe pertaining to the regulation of our stock market and
- 35:34Speaker 1: derivative trading, did he on a number of occasions come
- 35:37Speaker 1: back to that and maybe pick your brain? about policy
- 35:40Speaker 1: or future policy here in the United States. Clinton, no
- 35:45Speaker 1: more than any other big issue. I mean, everybody lives
- 35:47Speaker 1: in New York with money, and he made his money
- 35:49Speaker 1: advising Les Wexner, so he had to be interested in
- 35:52Speaker 1: the markets. Anna Luna, and then I know that Ghislaine
- 35:56Speaker 1: Maxwell was a little bit more probably chatty with you.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Did she ever share a similar interest to Mr. Epstein
- 36:02Speaker 1: on economics or political topics of discussion? Were there any
- 36:06Speaker 1: reoccurring topics? that you felt she was wanting to focus on? Answer,
- 36:12Speaker 1: not that I noticed. Question, all right. Thank you, Mr. President.
- 36:17Speaker 1: Now Jack Emmer is doing the questioning again. Thank you, Mr. President.
- 36:21Speaker 1: We've covered a lot of topics today, and I'm going
- 36:23Speaker 1: to walk through some of those topics that we've already covered.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Just ask some questions for clarification. Clinton, okay. Question, first,
- 36:31Speaker 1: during your relationship or the time that you knew Mr. Epstein,
- 36:35Speaker 1: what did you understand his job to be? Answer, I'm
- 36:38Speaker 1: not sure that I knew. It was never clear to me,
- 36:40Speaker 1: but he could have been living on investing the profits
- 36:43Speaker 1: he'd already made. I knew he was a finance guy. Question,
- 36:47Speaker 1: and you just testified that Les Wexner being one of
- 36:49Speaker 1: his clients, did he ever make any other representations about
- 36:52Speaker 1: who his clients were? Answer, no, but I never asked either. Question,
- 36:57Speaker 1: during the time that you knew him, did Epstein ever
- 36:59Speaker 1: provide you with financial advice? Answer, no. Question, did he
- 37:04Speaker 1: ever provide you with tax advice? Answer, no. Question, did
- 37:07Speaker 1: he ever personally receive money from Mr. Epstein? Answer, no. Question,
- 37:12Speaker 1: did Mr. Epstein ever loan you money in your personal capacity? Answer,
- 37:18Speaker 1: not to my knowledge. Question, so to be clear, did
- 37:21Speaker 1: you ever exchange money with Mr. Epstein? Answer, not that
- 37:25Speaker 1: I remember. I don't believe I did. Question, and throughout
- 37:29Speaker 1: today's questioning, we've talked about the various properties that Mr.
- 37:32Speaker 1: Epstein owned. You testified that you visited the Manhattan townhouse,
- 37:36Speaker 1: is that right? Answer, yeah, I went there once. Question,
- 37:40Speaker 1: and just for clarification, it's been reported that we've seen
- 37:44Speaker 1: from the files from the DOJ that Mr. Epstein decorated
- 37:47Speaker 1: his home with creepy and disturbing artwork. Did you notice
- 37:50Speaker 1: anything unusual as far as his decor at his presence? Answer,
- 37:56Speaker 1: keep in mind, I was only on the first floor,
- 37:58Speaker 1: ground floor, and I didn't see anything like that there
- 38:01Speaker 1: in any of the rooms that I saw. Question, it's
- 38:04Speaker 1: been reported that Mr. Epstein had cameras on his premises.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Did you notice anything? Any cameras at the Manhattan townhouse? Answer,
- 38:13Speaker 1: I didn't, but there may have been, and that may
- 38:15Speaker 1: have been the whole point. Question, Mr. Epstein apparently rented
- 38:19Speaker 1: a property in Boston at one point. Did you ever
- 38:21Speaker 1: visit that property? Answer, no. Question, did you ever visit Mr.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Epstein's apartment in Paris? Answer, no. Question, did Mr. Epstein
- 38:30Speaker 1: or Ms. Maxwell ever invite you to his property in Paris? Answer, no. Question,
- 38:35Speaker 1: did Mr. Epstein ever invite you to his home in
- 38:38Speaker 1: Palm Beach? Answer, no. Question, were you ever invited by
- 38:42Speaker 1: Epstein or Maxwell to visit the Palm Beach property? Answer,
- 38:46Speaker 1: I don't think so. Question, did you ever visit Glenn
- 38:49Speaker 1: Maxwell's New York townhouse? Answer, no. I don't even know
- 38:53Speaker 1: that I knew she had a townhouse. I knew about that.
- 38:56Speaker 1: The only thing that he ever said to anything to
- 38:59Speaker 1: me about Jeffrey was the New Mexico ranch. I never
- 39:02Speaker 1: went there. Okay, sure you didn't, Bill. Question, did he
- 39:06Speaker 1: invite you to the New Mexico ranch? Answer, sort of.
- 39:10Speaker 1: I mean, he was a little, you know, but I
- 39:12Speaker 1: didn't go. By then, I didn't go. Question, was there
- 39:15Speaker 1: a reason? Answer, I don't remember, but I think as
- 39:19Speaker 1: we got closer to the end that he said something
- 39:21Speaker 1: about it. Question, Mr. President, in 2005, police in Palm Beach,
- 39:26Speaker 1: Florida began investigating Epstein. In July of 2005, was arrested
- 39:31Speaker 1: for the first time for soliciting prostitution for minors. For
- 39:35Speaker 1: the record, prior to Mr. Epstein's arrest, were you aware
- 39:39Speaker 1: of any investigation into Mr. Epstein? Answer, no. On October
- 39:45Speaker 1: 20th of 2005, police executed a search warrant for Mr.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Epstein's Palm Beach, Florida home. Palm Beach detective Joseph Ricari
- 39:56Speaker 1: spoke out about his belief that Epstein was tipped off
- 39:58Speaker 1: about the raid since multiple computers expected to be at
- 40:02Speaker 1: the house were missing when the search warrant was executed.
- 40:05Speaker 1: To your knowledge, was Mr. Epstein tipped off about the
- 40:08Speaker 1: October 20th search warrant in Palm Beach? Lawyer jumps in,
- 40:13Speaker 1: he's asking to your knowledge. Answer, I don't know, I
- 40:15Speaker 1: don't know. It's the first I heard of it. Question,
- 40:18Speaker 1: they're only asking for your knowledge, Mr. President. Jack Emmer, Mr. President,
- 40:23Speaker 1: did you ever make any kind of attempt to influence
- 40:25Speaker 1: the media's coverage of Jeffrey Epstein? Answer, no. Question, at
- 40:30Speaker 1: this time, I'd like to introduce what we've marked as
- 40:32Speaker 1: Majority Exhibit 23. And this is Bates' number, EFTA 02792895.
- 40:41Speaker 1: One page. Bill Clinton, I don't even know who that is.
- 40:46Speaker 1: Jack Emmer, This is an email from Virginia Roberts, an
- 40:49Speaker 1: Epstein victim, that alleged that you walked into Vanity Fair
- 40:52Speaker 1: and threatened them not to write sex trafficking articles about
- 40:55Speaker 1: your good friend, Jeffrey Epstein. Mr. President, is this true?
- 40:59Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, no, no. Not no, hell no. Not close, no.
- 41:04Speaker 1: So he's calling Virginia a liar. Cool, got it. Question,
- 41:08Speaker 1: why do you think Ms. Roberts would make up these claims?
- 41:11Speaker 1: Lawyer jumps in. Are you asking him to have an
- 41:13Speaker 1: opinion about Ms. Roberts' point of mind? Can we not
- 41:16Speaker 1: do that? Ask him about the facts that he knows,
- 41:19Speaker 1: as opposed to asking about the facts in other people's minds. Question, Mr. President,
- 41:25Speaker 1: have you ever asked any other publication to shut down
- 41:27Speaker 1: a story related to Mr. Epstein? Bill Clinton, no. Question,
- 41:31Speaker 1: by the lawyer, and by any publication counsel, he answered
- 41:34Speaker 1: the question about Vanity Fair, correct? M or yes? Bill Clinton,
- 41:38Speaker 1: I absolutely did not. Question, Mr. President, did you ever
- 41:43Speaker 1: advocate or suggest leniency? In Epstein's case, any government officials,
- 41:48Speaker 1: including those in the Justice Department or the Florida State
- 41:51Speaker 1: Attorney's Office? Clinton, no. Question. On June 30th of 2008,
- 41:57Speaker 1: Epstein pleaded guilty in Palm Beach County, Florida State Court
- 42:02Speaker 1: to two felony charges, one count of solicitation of prostitution,
- 42:06Speaker 1: and one count of procurement of a person under 18
- 42:09Speaker 1: for prostitution. He was subsequently sentenced to 18 months in
- 42:14Speaker 1: Florida County Jail. and began serving his sentence on June
- 42:17Speaker 1: 30th of 2008. To be clear, you have not had
- 42:21Speaker 1: any direct contact with Epstein after his 2006 arrest. Is
- 42:24Speaker 1: that right? Answer, that's correct. Question, after his arrest or
- 42:30Speaker 1: after the publication of when he went to jail in 2008,
- 42:34Speaker 1: can you just clarify the dates there? Jack Emmer, I'll
- 42:38Speaker 1: ask another question. To be clear, you have not had
- 42:41Speaker 1: any direct contact with Epstein after his arrest. when he
- 42:44Speaker 1: was incarcerated in 2008. Clinton, yes, to the best of
- 42:48Speaker 1: my memory, that's correct. Question, are you aware of any
- 42:52Speaker 1: effort by Epstein to contact you while he was incarcerated
- 42:56Speaker 1: in Florida? Answer, I'm not. Question, Mr. President, who is
- 43:01Speaker 1: Arnold Paul Prosperi? Answer, I think that he's the son
- 43:06Speaker 1: of a guy I went to Georgetown with named Paul Prosperi.
- 43:09Speaker 1: I think that's right. And I saw in all these
- 43:11Speaker 1: things that my staff gave me that he was mentioned.
- 43:14Speaker 1: but I don't think anybody said anything to me. I
- 43:16Speaker 1: have no memory of that. Question, so it's your testimony
- 43:19Speaker 1: today that he, and actually, let me back up here.
- 43:23Speaker 1: According to jail logs, Mr. Prosperi visited Epstein at least
- 43:27Speaker 1: 20 times while Epstein was incarcerated in Palm Beach County
- 43:31Speaker 1: Jail between 2008 and 2009. Based on what you just said,
- 43:36Speaker 1: is it your testimony that you believed that to be
- 43:38Speaker 1: the son of the man you went to college with? Answer,
- 43:42Speaker 1: it could be. But he didn't talk to me. Question.
- 43:46Speaker 1: Thank you, Mr. President. Last week, Les Wexner testified that
- 43:49Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein often name-dropped powerful people to give himself an
- 43:52Speaker 1: air of credibility. Did he ever do that to you?
- 43:56Speaker 1: Brag about people he knew in high places? Kings and princes?
- 43:59Speaker 1: Bill Clinton? Yeah, he did a little bit. Question. Going
- 44:03Speaker 1: back to what was mentioned earlier about the search warrant
- 44:06Speaker 1: on October 20th in Palm Beach for Jeffrey Epstein. Ms.
- 44:10Speaker 1: Clinton testified yesterday. I think she mentioned that it appears
- 44:14Speaker 1: he got a sweetheart plea deal. And I don't think
- 44:16Speaker 1: anyone on this committee would disagree with that when Alex
- 44:19Speaker 1: Acosta was the U.S. attorney down there. And we've already
- 44:23Speaker 1: deposed Mr. Acosta. And we've got the transcripts and everything.
- 44:26Speaker 1: There's a lot of speculation, as had been mentioned, that
- 44:29Speaker 1: he may have been tipped off prior to the search
- 44:31Speaker 1: warrant that Jeffrey Epstein may have been tipped off. Are
- 44:35Speaker 1: you aware of whether or not Sandy Berger may have
- 44:38Speaker 1: tipped off Jeffrey Epstein? Lawyer jumps in. The president just
- 44:42Speaker 1: testified that he was unaware that anybody had been tipped off.
- 44:46Speaker 1: So if you're asking him to, Bill Clinton jumps in.
- 44:49Speaker 1: This explains why I asked yesterday about him. But no,
- 44:52Speaker 1: I know nothing about that, and I wouldn't. Question, and Mr.
- 44:56Speaker 1: Epstein was indicted by a grand jury on July 19, 2006.
- 45:00Speaker 1: According to an IRS form, 990, filed by the COUQ Foundation,
- 45:05Speaker 1: a known Epstein entity, Mr. Epstein donated $ 25, 000 to the
- 45:10Speaker 1: William J. Clinton Foundation one day prior to Mr. Epstein's indictment.
- 45:15Speaker 1: Are you aware of this donation? Answer, I know that
- 45:18Speaker 1: they told me that the record showed that he'd given $ 25, 000. Question,
- 45:22Speaker 1: when did you become aware of that, Mr. President? Were
- 45:25Speaker 1: you aware of that then or in preparation? Answer, no, no,
- 45:29Speaker 1: I mean when I was preparing for this. Question, yes, sir,
- 45:32Speaker 1: did you solicit that donation from Mr. Epstein? Answer, not personally,
- 45:37Speaker 1: I didn't know. Question, did someone else solicit it? Answer,
- 45:40Speaker 1: I have no idea. Question, do you even know why Mr.
- 45:43Speaker 1: Epstein made that donation? Lawyer jumps in. He's asking you
- 45:47Speaker 1: to speculate about what Mr. Epstein would be thinking. Clinton,
- 45:51Speaker 1: we're trying to raise a fair amount of money every
- 45:53Speaker 1: year to pay the bills. Question, it seems to me
- 45:56Speaker 1: his investigators were narrowing in on Mr. Epstein. He may
- 46:01Speaker 1: have been trying to earn some goodwill with you. What
- 46:03Speaker 1: do you think about that? Bill Clinton, it wouldn't work.
- 46:06Speaker 1: Question right. Did it ever seem to you that Jeffrey
- 46:08Speaker 1: Epstein was trying to suck up to you? Or get
- 46:11Speaker 1: on your good side in order to further his schemes? Answer. No,
- 46:15Speaker 1: I didn't think about it that way. I thought he
- 46:17Speaker 1: wanted to do what he said. Question. After his arrest
- 46:21Speaker 1: in 2006, did you have any further contact with Mr. Epstein? Answer.
- 46:25Speaker 1: I don't believe I did. No. Question. Did anyone affiliated
- 46:28Speaker 1: with Epstein, including Maxwell, contact you on behalf of Jeffrey
- 46:32Speaker 1: Epstein to discuss his arrest and the allegations against him? Clinton, no. Question,
- 46:38Speaker 1: did they ever ask, either Jeffrey Epstein or Ms. Maxwell,
- 46:41Speaker 1: ever ask you for their assistance once Epstein was in trouble? Answer, no. Question,
- 46:46Speaker 1: or once Ms. Maxwell was in trouble? Answer, no. Question,
- 46:50Speaker 1: did Jeffrey Epstein ever attempt to contact you while he
- 46:53Speaker 1: was incarcerated in Florida? Answer, no. Question, he didn't ever
- 46:57Speaker 1: attempt to contact you? Bill Clinton, not as far as
- 46:59Speaker 1: I know. Question, yesterday during the deposition of Secretary Clinton,
- 47:04Speaker 1: She suggested that we follow the money with Epstein, because
- 47:07Speaker 1: there's a big question, how did he accumulate so much wealth?
- 47:10Speaker 1: And I think you had testified earlier, and if I'm wrong,
- 47:13Speaker 1: feel free to correct me, that you didn't really know
- 47:15Speaker 1: how he made his money. I mean, he had a
- 47:17Speaker 1: big plane. Clinton, I knew that he had made an
- 47:20Speaker 1: extraordinary amount of money from Les Wexner, who was quite wealthy.
- 47:23Speaker 1: I had no idea whether he had made enough to
- 47:26Speaker 1: support the lifestyle that I saw. Question, and I assume
- 47:29Speaker 1: that you were aware that Mr. Wexner testified under oath.
- 47:32Speaker 1: that he acted like he really didn't know Jeffrey Epstein
- 47:35Speaker 1: very well, which is kind of hard to believe, because
- 47:37Speaker 1: he paid him a lot of money. Clinton, yeah, he
- 47:41Speaker 1: made him. But you never know. Question, yeah, well, one
- 47:45Speaker 1: of the things, when we concluded the deposition yesterday, we
- 47:49Speaker 1: asked Secretary Clinton for her advice moving forward in the investigation.
- 47:53Speaker 1: And with respect to a statement that she made yesterday,
- 47:56Speaker 1: and was something that we've done on the committee, the
- 47:59Speaker 1: majority has done on the committee in the past, we've
- 48:01Speaker 1: followed the money. We've subpoenaed bank records. We've subpoenaed suspicious
- 48:05Speaker 1: activity reports from Treasury. Those were some of the things Ms.
- 48:09Speaker 1: Clinton suggested. And in order to do that, obviously, we
- 48:12Speaker 1: have to subpoena banks, specific banks for specific accounts. Do
- 48:17Speaker 1: you ever recall in the conversations you had with Mr. Epstein,
- 48:20Speaker 1: any particular bank that he was affiliated with or any
- 48:23Speaker 1: particular big banks that maybe he had deals with? Answer, no,
- 48:27Speaker 1: he never asked me. Question, okay. Jack Emmer, with that,
- 48:31Speaker 1: we can go off the record. They come back on.
- 48:34Speaker 1: New speaker. We can go back on the record. Mr. President,
- 48:38Speaker 1: I just wanted to clarify one thing from the previous round.
- 48:41Speaker 1: Our understanding of your testimony today is that with respect
- 48:44Speaker 1: to the dinner with Ms. Maxwell in Los Angeles, you
- 48:47Speaker 1: are not actually sure whether or not that dinner occurred. Clinton,
- 48:50Speaker 1: that's correct. Question, is that correct? Bill Clinton, that's correct. Question,
- 48:55Speaker 1: thank you. As we start to close, is there anything
- 48:58Speaker 1: that you would like to add or clarify about what
- 49:00Speaker 1: you've said here today? Lawyer, you're good. Bill Clinton, what? Lawyer,
- 49:04Speaker 1: you're good. Clinton, I think we're fine. I'm struggling because
- 49:08Speaker 1: it's hard to know exactly what I knew when I
- 49:10Speaker 1: knew it, given what I've learned since. It's become kind
- 49:14Speaker 1: of a compelling challenge, but I've tried to tell you
- 49:16Speaker 1: what I knew then. And when you ask what I
- 49:19Speaker 1: think I knew, think I know I think you have
- 49:22Speaker 1: all of you Mr. Chairman you've had to chronologically challenging
- 49:26Speaker 1: this thing you've got all this stuff that happened with
- 49:29Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein some of it as regards to President Trump
- 49:32Speaker 1: going back to the late 90s and that's a long
- 49:35Speaker 1: time ago and then what we learn later it's been
- 49:37Speaker 1: difficult But I have enjoyed it. You've been very respectful
- 49:41Speaker 1: to me and have given me a chance to talk
- 49:43Speaker 1: to you. Question. Well, thank you for your time, Clinton.
- 49:47Speaker 1: And I wish you well. I still will say, if
- 49:50Speaker 1: you can think of some things to do to reduce
- 49:52Speaker 1: the incidence of trafficking in America, and it should be
- 49:55Speaker 1: possible for us to virtually eliminate underage abuse, it should be.
- 49:59Speaker 1: We just got to figure out what kind of technology
- 50:01Speaker 1: we need and what kind of policies. Thank you. Question.
- 50:06Speaker 1: And the answers that you provided today are the best
- 50:09Speaker 1: to your recollection, is that correct? Bill Clinton, yeah, the
- 50:12Speaker 1: answers I provided today are what I believe at the
- 50:14Speaker 1: time and what I think was in my heart, including
- 50:17Speaker 1: about previous testimony. Speaker, great, thank you. Unless there's anything
- 50:25Speaker 1: else you would like to share, we can go off
- 50:27Speaker 1: the record. All right, folks, that's going to do it
- 50:29Speaker 1: for the Bill Clinton testimony that he gave to Congress.
- 50:33Speaker 1: All the information that goes with this episode can be
- 50:36Speaker 1: found in the description box.
