- 0:19Speaker 1: the Raising Kine studio. Here's Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Forgot the hewl, but forget it into the perspective.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Is there a she wolf in your closet?
- 1:04Speaker 2: I don't know what that means? Shakira asked a question,
- 1:06Speaker 2: so I thought i'd ask it. Is that what she
- 1:09Speaker 2: says in that song? She? Yeah? Right, okay, right right? Lad?
- 1:15Speaker 4: Yeah, yep, okay, nice. No, there's not I don't even
- 1:20Speaker 4: know what it means. But well either, good morning, let's good.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Morning, Jake plan Elandra Tata all here with you on
- 1:31Speaker 2: this checks to watch Thursday Morning a Landra.
- 1:35Speaker 4: I saw it yesterday. You kept in my blooper from
- 1:39Speaker 4: the promo? Yeah, yeah, I just like, oh, what day
- 1:42Speaker 4: is that?
- 1:43Speaker 5: I did keep it?
- 1:43Speaker 3: I heard that this morning. It's a nice word.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Yeah, it really turned out pretty nice.
- 1:47Speaker 6: I thought it was funny, it's very professional.
- 1:49Speaker 3: It was very thought.
- 1:50Speaker 5: It was also in brand, so.
- 1:54Speaker 3: I didn't hear yet, but yeah, yeah.
- 1:56Speaker 7: He's He went to do the promo yesterday. He was like,
- 1:59Speaker 7: join us, what's tomorrow?
- 2:01Speaker 4: Like, wait, what's tomorrow? She kept it in there. Good
- 2:04Speaker 4: job he didn't around here.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I got a couple. It's hard to find them,
- 2:11Speaker 3: but I got a few.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Well, it's hard to keep track of what day it
- 2:16Speaker 2: is when you're a stitchhead and you're watching Mexico and Italy.
- 2:19Speaker 3: It was absolutely locked in.
- 2:21Speaker 4: I mean USA just absolutely dominated last night and they
- 2:25Speaker 4: didn't even play.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Well technically they did.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Yeah, all those players for Italy or American, but they did,
- 2:37Speaker 2: and they advanced thanks to Team Italy.
- 2:43Speaker 3: And Benny hitting three bombs.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:45Speaker 3: So I was celebrating after they hit Italy got the.
- 2:50Speaker 4: Five runs yesterday, Yeah, because in my brain I just
- 2:54Speaker 4: figured the math had worked out because Italy either had
- 2:57Speaker 4: to win or Mexico had too or five runs or more.
- 3:03Speaker 4: But then I was like, I celebrated, a texted the group,
- 3:06Speaker 4: and then I started looking at the social media's people
- 3:10Speaker 4: trying to calculate, and they're like, well, there's a certain
- 3:12Speaker 4: amount of extra innings they could potentially go to that
- 3:16Speaker 4: could still keep USA out because it's the amount of
- 3:21Speaker 4: runs given up divide about the number of defensive outs.
- 3:23Speaker 4: So the more defensive outs you got, the less that
- 3:26Speaker 4: number had become. So but Italy did it. They just
- 3:29Speaker 4: kept on scoring. Yeah, they just kept on scoring.
- 3:31Speaker 2: They got out a.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Couple of saved. Mark de Ros's rear in USA's manager.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Yeah, he was trying to deny a little bit too, like,
- 3:42Speaker 4: come on, man, you went to pin. Yeah, you're smart,
- 3:45Speaker 4: we know it. And like, in his defense, the rules
- 3:48Speaker 4: are fairly confusing.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Well, I was stelling Katie that yesterday, like kind of
- 3:55Speaker 2: the situations. He's like, so nobody on his staff let
- 3:58Speaker 2: him know that that was wrong, Like, nobody in the
- 4:02Speaker 2: building told him you actually didn't qualify.
- 4:05Speaker 3: I was like, that's a good point.
- 4:06Speaker 4: Yeah, no one really checked him because I think that
- 4:08Speaker 4: press conference was like a day or two before the game,
- 4:12Speaker 4: or maybe it was the day before. I can't remember it,
- 4:13Speaker 4: but it wasn't like right before the game, so no
- 4:16Speaker 4: one was like, hey, you know, you're not in it
- 4:18Speaker 4: like after that.
- 4:20Speaker 2: So no one knew the rules.
- 4:22Speaker 4: Until it became relevant and then they lost and they're like, wait, maybe.
- 4:26Speaker 2: We should check the rule them.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Maybe we should check the rules now that we lost
- 4:29Speaker 3: to Italy.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Yeah that was was.
- 4:32Speaker 3: It y'all that sent the social media post yesterday?
- 4:36Speaker 4: I can't wait till seven pm so I can watch
- 4:39Speaker 4: the Italian Americans play the Mexican Americans and hopefully it benefits.
- 4:42Speaker 2: The American Americans. I got a good kick out of
- 4:47Speaker 2: that one. That was good.
- 4:49Speaker 3: Now you get to face Canada. Yeah, that's a win.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Now. I don't like Canada beach in baseball. Oh yeah,
- 4:58Speaker 2: you can't do that. That's see.
- 4:59Speaker 3: That would be the old may get back. That'd be
- 5:01Speaker 3: the get back game.
- 5:02Speaker 8: It would look you remember you were road coaches used
- 5:04Speaker 8: to used to write in a W for you before
- 5:07Speaker 8: the season even started, when you were playing right in
- 5:09Speaker 8: the W You're good?
- 5:10Speaker 6: What's Canada beating you at lately? You've been hot?
- 5:15Speaker 4: That's like, who Yeah, I didn't even think about that.
- 5:18Speaker 4: This is the get right game for Canada. Like, this
- 5:20Speaker 4: couldn't have worked out any better. This is our sport.
- 5:23Speaker 4: It's a no lose situation for them. Oh god, I
- 5:26Speaker 4: don't know if I like this anymore. Mmm, they ain't
- 5:32Speaker 4: gonna get right USA. You don't talk yourself into it.
- 5:39Speaker 4: What feeling good about it? I feel great about it
- 5:42Speaker 4: because it's USA, and we're gonna go all the way.
- 5:47Speaker 2: It's what Gordon bomb Bay said. So I think believe
- 5:52Speaker 2: that game is gonna be Friday. My accurate on this, Dude,
- 5:55Speaker 2: You're the stitch head Friday. I'm just gonna say it
- 5:59Speaker 2: with confidence. Say, I'm a chest out USA Canada.
- 6:03Speaker 5: It's Friday the thirteenth.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh, I feel like we just had one of
- 6:06Speaker 2: those two we did in February.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Wow, good for us. Yeah in February. Yeah, this is
- 6:12Speaker 4: a this is a too much streak?
- 6:13Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 6:14Speaker 2: Oh yeah we did. Because has this ever happened thirteenth?
- 6:20Speaker 2: I mean in modern day, I'm sure I don't feel
- 6:24Speaker 2: like because I wore number thirteen in high school and
- 6:26Speaker 2: everybody always like said it was an unlucky number. Hotels
- 6:29Speaker 2: didn't have thirteenth floors, the whole deal. Ye, So I
- 6:33Speaker 2: looked forward to Friday the thirteenth just to have some
- 6:35Speaker 2: good pub for thirteen.
- 6:36Speaker 4: Yeah, and happen very often. Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 6:38Speaker 4: I often look for back to back. I got this
- 6:41Speaker 4: T shirt I bought in college, maybe it was post college.
- 6:45Speaker 4: It's who's the Who's the Friday the thirteenth is a
- 6:48Speaker 4: Mike Myers.
- 6:49Speaker 5: J she married Mike Myers a Shrek.
- 6:53Speaker 4: Oh that's right, Michael, Halloween smart. So Jason, it's this
- 6:57Speaker 4: little cartoon.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Jason and he's looking at the calendar and it says
- 7:03Speaker 2: Friday the twelfth, and he's looking all sad.
- 7:06Speaker 3: I always look for Friday the twelve shirt.
- 7:09Speaker 6: I like that shirt I.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Did. Yeah, I mean what expensive. I mean, you'd be shocked.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Why are you in Spencer's now?
- 7:19Speaker 4: This was like when internet shopping just started to becoming
- 7:23Speaker 4: real hot, real popular. This is either in college or
- 7:26Speaker 4: immediately after college. Maybe I had some fresh funds in
- 7:29Speaker 4: my pocket from the pastors. I think I was. It
- 7:33Speaker 4: was probably like a round Halloween too, so I was
- 7:36Speaker 4: getting ready. But I've never really worn that shirt on
- 7:39Speaker 4: Friday the twelfth because I either can't ever find it
- 7:42Speaker 4: or just miss it. So if we ever hit a
- 7:46Speaker 4: show on Friday the twelfth, shooting will reminder on the eleventh, you.
- 7:51Speaker 8: Got a scout where the closet a shirt for you?
- 7:54Speaker 7: Well, why don't you wear it tomorrow since it's literally Friday?
- 7:57Speaker 3: Yeah, because the shirt says Friday the twelve.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Oh okay, yeah, Jason is sad at the count Miss
- 8:05Speaker 2: m HM and he's got a knife in the same.
- 8:09Speaker 6: That's a good that's a good shirt.
- 8:11Speaker 2: It's a good shirt.
- 8:12Speaker 3: I like the shirt, Thank you.
- 8:14Speaker 5: I just wasn't paying attention.
- 8:15Speaker 2: I get it, I get it.
- 8:16Speaker 3: It's not a bad shirt.
- 8:17Speaker 5: I can't judge at all.
- 8:18Speaker 4: No, absolutely, I told you twenty five percent of the time,
- 8:21Speaker 4: I'm out of here.
- 8:23Speaker 3: I guess.
- 8:23Speaker 2: The only part about the shirt it's kind of weird
- 8:25Speaker 2: is you're a professional football player. Well what did you do?
- 8:30Speaker 2: You bought? You bought skinny jeans.
- 8:31Speaker 3: You get that shirt.
- 8:34Speaker 2: You were you about the jeans that.
- 8:36Speaker 4: I was like, you know, costs a lot of money
- 8:37Speaker 4: to look this cheap that holes in them, super tight area,
- 8:43Speaker 4: a whole ankles tight tight ankle too.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Yeah, the butt are is always going to be tight.
- 8:48Speaker 2: That's just that is what it is. You know, it's
- 8:50Speaker 2: not me, that's the lord, your tailor. You were like,
- 8:54Speaker 2: you know what I mean. It's snug on the ankle,
- 8:56Speaker 2: but I think we can go tighter. You think I
- 8:59Speaker 2: wanted to depression when I take these things off. That
- 9:01Speaker 2: was a big cowboy boot go when I first got
- 9:03Speaker 2: into the league, Tony Lamas, those used.
- 9:07Speaker 7: To be the boot I know, I love, I feel
- 9:09Speaker 7: like they're not really Yeah, you.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Don't really don't.
- 9:12Speaker 7: Yeah, I feel like are like Takoba's, I know, yeah,
- 9:15Speaker 7: what's the other one they got a little too expensive?
- 9:18Speaker 3: Yeah, and so.
- 9:19Speaker 7: Like yeahlu case Yeah, yeah yeah lu Casey's.
- 9:26Speaker 3: But lu Casey also last year till you're like I
- 9:28Speaker 3: was just about to say, like.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Yeah, and he'll be your most comfortable shoot that you want.
- 9:34Speaker 8: We were in we were in the Yellowstone a few
- 9:37Speaker 8: years ago store in Montana was a big lu Casey
- 9:39Speaker 8: store and Victoria's like, while you going in there, you're
- 9:42Speaker 8: gonna buy nothing in there?
- 9:42Speaker 6: I was like, I just want to see how much
- 9:44Speaker 6: they are.
- 9:45Speaker 8: They were like a lot, like thousand dollars in boot.
- 9:49Speaker 4: Yeah, when I graduated, my dad bought me a pair
- 9:53Speaker 4: of ostrich skins lu Casey's when I graduated high school
- 9:57Speaker 4: going to college, and he was like these are bo
- 10:00Speaker 4: You're going to have like your whole life. And sure
- 10:02Speaker 4: enough they are still comfortable as they've ever been.
- 10:05Speaker 5: Hated to see those boots.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Now.
- 10:08Speaker 3: I don't wear my boots a lot anymore. When the
- 10:11Speaker 3: Bogeys bouncers saw those are like.
- 10:13Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't have a lot of I don't have
- 10:16Speaker 4: like a lot of boot cut pants, right anymore? So,
- 10:20Speaker 4: like the pants have changed over the years, right, so
- 10:23Speaker 4: they used to be a little bit bad here, I've like,
- 10:25Speaker 4: like the styles shifted more towards the tighter pants you
- 10:29Speaker 4: can't really wear.
- 10:31Speaker 2: No, I don't have skinny came into this conversation making
- 10:34Speaker 2: fun of my pants, But okay.
- 10:37Speaker 4: Yours are like one hundred percent cotton leggings though, denim leggings.
- 10:43Speaker 5: Hey, shout out, Bradley McWillie.
- 10:46Speaker 7: June will have a Friday the thirteenth, I mean twelfth June.
- 10:49Speaker 7: Will June will have Friday of the twelfth month of
- 10:51Speaker 7: the year. You better find that shirt now, I know.
- 10:53Speaker 4: I hope it didn't get purged. I don't think it did, though,
- 10:56Speaker 4: because I've been waiting. I've been waiting long enough to
- 10:59Speaker 4: where I wouldn't heard that one fourteenth, twenty twenty twentieth.
- 11:08Speaker 2: June twenty birthday.
- 11:08Speaker 6: How much you'll think this lu Casey boot is right here.
- 11:11Speaker 3: That says that alligator skin, it is crocodile skin, it's.
- 11:14Speaker 4: It's alligator and it's I'm really all right, I'm going
- 11:17Speaker 4: to say alligator's going to say eighteen hundred dollars Dick all.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Right, So yeah, I'm gonna say twenty three hundred.
- 11:25Speaker 8: Here on their website it has listened for a cool
- 11:28Speaker 8: sixteen thousand dollars.
- 11:31Speaker 4: What kind of gator, Scott, seventeen jesus actually sixteen h
- 11:42Speaker 4: Well that's an investment right there.
- 11:47Speaker 2: So you got closest, Jake. It's a small business.
- 11:50Speaker 5: That means you have to buy them to buy.
- 11:52Speaker 4: Into a business, Taylor. I mean that's you're in the
- 11:55Speaker 4: new car game right now, Like, yeah, you no doubt.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Or you could get that truck, or you can get
- 12:03Speaker 4: a pair of boot.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Pair of boots.
- 12:05Speaker 5: I mean the boots will take you places too.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good point.
- 12:08Speaker 6: Be walking to work.
- 12:10Speaker 2: That's a really good point, Moddy. For seventeen thousand dollars boots,
- 12:13Speaker 2: you'll be walking everywhere, right because you can't afford a car,
- 12:16Speaker 2: and because you want to get your money worth man,
- 12:19Speaker 2: what A what A?
- 12:22Speaker 3: That's not that's not a sound investment those boots.
- 12:25Speaker 7: Yeah, they don't like appreciate value.
- 12:29Speaker 6: On their website.
- 12:30Speaker 8: I'm on their website right now, scroll to probably in
- 12:33Speaker 8: the nine Nathan is practically living in poverty. The Nathan
- 12:37Speaker 8: boots are six ninety five. Okay, so they're all just
- 12:42Speaker 8: named after people like you have Nathan.
- 12:43Speaker 4: Charles, same name, first and last. Yeah, a lot of
- 12:52Speaker 4: money for boots. Let's rather just spend that on, you know,
- 12:55Speaker 4: sports cards. They can at least get you turn yeah, hopefully,
- 13:01Speaker 4: or the portfolio.
- 13:03Speaker 2: She's like a collecting art. I collecting gater skin, all right.
- 13:09Speaker 2: I bet that was a bad gator though. I bet
- 13:12Speaker 2: it was too big boy at least ten feet, just
- 13:16Speaker 2: a ten fo the sixteen seventeen footer. It's the Lake
- 13:21Speaker 2: Placid movie. Gator came from Lake Placid. What a good movie. Good.
- 13:29Speaker 2: I remember watching it. I watched that quite a few times.
- 13:31Speaker 3: She's gonna watch it on it's own.
- 13:32Speaker 4: I read that one from Blockbuster a few times. Yeah, tiptoes,
- 13:37Speaker 4: you hit that case.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Please, please please.
- 13:40Speaker 4: I just remember that one scene where they're talking about
- 13:42Speaker 4: a victim and they hold up a finger in there,
- 13:44Speaker 4: this is what's left of them?
- 13:45Speaker 2: Yeah, And the guy looks at me. He's like, mmm,
- 13:48Speaker 2: I remember him. He seemed taller.
- 13:54Speaker 3: That's actually really good.
- 13:55Speaker 2: It was a good line. It was a good line.
- 13:58Speaker 4: That little old lady kept feeding them tigers, oh, gigers, gators.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Basically a good luck The rest of the day it

- 16:58Speaker 2: You feel better immediately, Go flow ivy go flow ivspot
- 17:01Speaker 2: dot com. All right, So yesterday at four eastern three century,
- 17:08Speaker 2: we had the official start of the league year. So
- 17:12Speaker 2: all the signings that we've talked about, we've seen, those
- 17:14Speaker 2: are officially official now once you pass your physical as
- 17:19Speaker 2: we well know now as well any trades, any of
- 17:22Speaker 2: that thing. So you could agree to terms, but it
- 17:25Speaker 2: has to wait until yesterday to be official. Also, guys
- 17:29Speaker 2: that we've known are going to be released, well that
- 17:31Speaker 2: is official yesterday as well. So there's a couple of
- 17:35Speaker 2: veteran quarterbacks that were officially released.
- 17:38Speaker 3: I never understood that.
- 17:39Speaker 4: Why can't you officially release somebody till the league year
- 17:41Speaker 4: starts that's currently under contract. It seems a little weird.
- 17:48Speaker 4: I don't know that's a fair question. I feel like
- 17:51Speaker 4: he can't sign.
- 17:52Speaker 2: There's there's all like there's like post June first cuts.
- 17:56Speaker 2: It's like, yeah, but he's cutting. He signed with another team, right,
- 18:00Speaker 2: but he's like currently serving out his current contract. You
- 18:04Speaker 2: should be able to release some through sixty five. Yeah,
- 18:07Speaker 2: And a lot of these moves are to save you know,
- 18:12Speaker 2: because technically the league year doesn't start, so you're based
- 18:14Speaker 2: off last year's deal. You played last year with the team,
- 18:17Speaker 2: and so like now it starts a new year, so
- 18:20Speaker 2: that that new year, that contract starts yesterday, and so
- 18:24Speaker 2: you get released. So Kirk Cousins officially got released by
- 18:27Speaker 2: the Atlanta Falcons, and then Kyler Murray officially got released
- 18:31Speaker 2: by the Arizona Cardinals. The Minnesota Vikings are a team
- 18:36Speaker 2: that apparently is pretty aggressive and trying to get Kyler
- 18:39Speaker 2: Murray to Minneapolis.
- 18:42Speaker 4: Actually, I believe he is visiting either today or certainly
- 18:46Speaker 4: this week, but that is the number one target. So
- 18:49Speaker 4: I've heard a lot of the national folks talking about
- 18:53Speaker 4: it to know some inside information from up there, like
- 18:55Speaker 4: if you're gonna put a percent percentage chance at Kyler
- 18:58Speaker 4: Murray is the quarterback for the Vikings next year, it
- 19:00Speaker 4: probably is gonna start with a nine right now. So
- 19:02Speaker 4: something pretty bad has to happen. They've kind of circled
- 19:05Speaker 4: him as of right now to be that guy, because
- 19:10Speaker 4: look like Kyler Murray has you you talk about him,
- 19:16Speaker 4: people think about him like six months ago and they
- 19:19Speaker 4: just kind of laugh at his career at this point.
- 19:21Speaker 4: You know, he's got the short person memes, He's like
- 19:23Speaker 4: got all these things. Those you hadn't seen those, yeah,
- 19:26Speaker 4: for sure, But what he's done in his career certainly
- 19:31Speaker 4: hadn't been spectacular, but he's been pretty good and something
- 19:36Speaker 4: and even good at certain points during his career.
- 19:39Speaker 2: You look at what he's done up to this point.
- 19:42Speaker 4: His career to this point has been better than Sam
- 19:44Speaker 4: Darnold's career was to that point, Baker Mayfield's career was
- 19:47Speaker 4: at that point. Daniel Jones for sure up to that point.
- 19:49Speaker 3: So why not?
- 19:50Speaker 4: He certainly has the talent to do it. Yeah, going
- 19:53Speaker 4: to a guy they call a quarterback whisper. You go
- 19:55Speaker 4: to a team that is is really good now I know,
- 19:57Speaker 4: gonna lose a lot, but also has been very good.
- 20:00Speaker 4: They were a serviceable QB away from being in the
- 20:04Speaker 4: playoffs last year. I think they won nine games and
- 20:07Speaker 4: maybe detrimental like detrimental quarterback play, like such bad quarterback
- 20:12Speaker 4: play that they organization said, our second year, first round pick,
- 20:17Speaker 4: we're just we don't want to play.
- 20:18Speaker 3: We're done.
- 20:19Speaker 2: We're down with him, like.
- 20:20Speaker 4: We've seen what we need to see. He didn't even
- 20:22Speaker 4: play his first year. He was hurt a portion of
- 20:25Speaker 4: this year. But we're we're good. I think we're This
- 20:28Speaker 4: experiment's over, which who does that with a first round quarterback?
- 20:31Speaker 4: After the second your first forty year and.
- 20:35Speaker 2: A lot of people are asking, Yeah, but that's not
- 20:36Speaker 2: you know, Kevin O'Connell's system, like for Kyler Murray. No,
- 20:40Speaker 2: Kevin o'connells was going to a football coach where he'll
- 20:41Speaker 2: come up with a system that you know what I mean,
- 20:44Speaker 2: He'll he'll have a player and he'll be like, hey,
- 20:46Speaker 2: we'll utilize what this player does really well within our
- 20:49Speaker 2: system will change it.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Every coach has a system that has a little bit
- 20:52Speaker 3: of everything in it.
- 20:53Speaker 2: So just because a.
- 20:54Speaker 4: Quarterback has a little bit different skill set, and by
- 20:57Speaker 4: that mean I mean running like that, that's what people
- 21:00Speaker 4: are talking about, Like he's never had a running quarterback,
- 21:03Speaker 4: a guy that can do that well. I mean even
- 21:06Speaker 4: the quarterbacks that take off running and we think of
- 21:08Speaker 4: as running quarterbacks, that's not what they're there to do
- 21:11Speaker 4: first at any position. Forever, we thought of Lamar Jackson
- 21:16Speaker 4: as that type of quarterback. So he can only make
- 21:20Speaker 4: plays with his feed. He's got a serviceable arm. But
- 21:24Speaker 4: then you look at the stats are like, oh, well
- 21:25Speaker 4: he runs very little actually, but it's just when he does,
- 21:30Speaker 4: he makes the most of it. So that's the kind
- 21:33Speaker 4: of quarterback that you want that has that type of
- 21:35Speaker 4: skill set, so right, you know, it's that's always especially
- 21:41Speaker 4: at that level. Now in college, you can start saying
- 21:43Speaker 4: that because you bring in like the read option, the
- 21:46Speaker 4: zone reads, you like, you bring in different types of
- 21:48Speaker 4: plays that you just don't see in the NFL.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Outside of those two players, Kirk Cousins. Cousins feels like
- 21:55Speaker 2: somebody that at this point, may he can go to
- 22:00Speaker 2: an Arizona and maybe be a bridge quarterback.
- 22:04Speaker 3: I don't know. Jacobe Brsick kind of don't actually play well.
- 22:06Speaker 4: I don't wish that on Kirk Cousins. Kirk Cousins should
- 22:09Speaker 4: play this as any older veteran quarterback should in this situation, which.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Is just hang out for a second.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree.
- 22:20Speaker 4: Just take a deep breath, don't rush, don't sign with
- 22:24Speaker 4: anybody this week, don't sign with anybody this month, Wait
- 22:28Speaker 4: till after the draft, Wait till offseason, wait till OTAs
- 22:32Speaker 4: and many camps, and hell, maybe even wait till training camp,
- 22:35Speaker 4: because an opportunity will arise, and Kirk Cousins has been
- 22:39Speaker 4: in enough offensive enough schemes that he'll be able to
- 22:43Speaker 4: plug in pretty quickly two weeks he'll be able to
- 22:46Speaker 4: don't go sign with the Cardinals right now, wait for
- 22:49Speaker 4: something's gonna happen.
- 22:50Speaker 2: You never know.
- 22:51Speaker 4: I agree, you could be the quarterback for the Seahawks
- 22:53Speaker 4: bar and injury at you know, come come August or September,
- 22:56Speaker 4: like you just never really know.
- 22:59Speaker 2: What does this mean for your guy, Aaron Rodgers? Is
- 23:02Speaker 2: he Steelers are done? Probably? I would say Steelers are
- 23:06Speaker 2: done unless something crazy happens. Now, that could be a
- 23:14Speaker 2: fit for Kirk Cousins. If Aaron decides to be done, Yeah,
- 23:17Speaker 2: that could be a that could be a quick fit
- 23:19Speaker 2: and quick fix. What did I just say quick fit?
- 23:25Speaker 2: Don't even know what that is. It's not a word.
- 23:28Speaker 2: We're just tough final, especially this time of the day.
- 23:37Speaker 4: But yeah, I was like, I was thinking Kirk Cousins
- 23:39Speaker 4: could be a fit to the Steelers if a Rodgers
- 23:41Speaker 4: doesn't plan it pin out. But yeah, at this point,
- 23:43Speaker 4: it does kind of look like for Aaron Rodgers, it's Steelers.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Are Yeah, it feels like it's either gonna be Steelers
- 23:48Speaker 2: are always going to be Steelers, or get that hand
- 23:51Speaker 2: jacket in five years. Right. So ESPN dot Com put
- 23:55Speaker 2: out a list of the top ten remaining free agency.
- 23:58Speaker 3: A couple of the highlights on here.
- 24:00Speaker 2: She Walker tackle from Green Bay's number one, Kyler Murrays
- 24:03Speaker 2: number two, Juwan Jennings number three, Taylor Decker offensive tackle
- 24:07Speaker 2: from the Lion's number four, Stefon Diggs at five, Joey
- 24:10Speaker 2: Bosa at number six. Some other highlights we mentioned Aaron
- 24:14Speaker 2: Rodgers at nine, Kirk Cousins at ten, Deebo Samuel at eleven,
- 24:18Speaker 2: and then you go down and you find a Cam
- 24:21Speaker 2: Jordan at number twenty two, Hollywood Brown at twenty three,
- 24:27Speaker 2: Bobby Wagner at twenty nine.
- 24:29Speaker 3: So, guys we've talked about here.
- 24:31Speaker 2: The Cam Jordan one is very interesting because there's a
- 24:34Speaker 2: lot of edge russers that have gotten one year deals.
- 24:36Speaker 2: There's a lot of edge rushers that I've gotten a
- 24:38Speaker 2: lot of money that did not have the production that
- 24:40Speaker 2: Cam Jordan had a year ago. So what does the
- 24:45Speaker 2: market look like for Camp Jordan? I know his age,
- 24:49Speaker 2: he's gonna be thirty seven years old in the twenty
- 24:51Speaker 2: twenty six season, but again, he wants to play. He's
- 24:55Speaker 2: missed one game in his entire career and he just
- 24:58Speaker 2: had ten and a half sacks. Guy, Guys that had
- 25:00Speaker 2: seven sacks getting twelve million per year on a one
- 25:04Speaker 2: year deal. They're younger, cool, but production is production. I'm
- 25:10Speaker 2: surprised Cam Jordan if he's not going to come back
- 25:13Speaker 2: and play for the new Orledan Saints, which is still
- 25:15Speaker 2: a possibility. I'm surprised that more teams haven't been interested
- 25:19Speaker 2: in adding a player that wants to play. Just had
- 25:22Speaker 2: ten and a half sacks even though he's thirty seven.
- 25:24Speaker 4: Yeah, when you look at production, you're surprised. But I mean,
- 25:29Speaker 4: the age thing is is a real conversation that people
- 25:32Speaker 4: have and right, right or wrong. They're like, Okay, he
- 25:35Speaker 4: had ten and a half sacks last year, that's awesome,
- 25:37Speaker 4: it's great. It's impressive to what you're doing. But at
- 25:40Speaker 4: some point you got you're weighing your risk versus rewards. Well,
- 25:43Speaker 4: you're signing people to ten plus million dollars.
- 25:46Speaker 2: I think you give him a deal where it's like
- 25:48Speaker 2: you're gonna get eight million guaranteed that you can make
- 25:50Speaker 2: up to thirteen million incentives. Now Cam might be saying, no, yeah, right,
- 25:56Speaker 2: give me he never we don't hear a teen million guarantee.
- 25:58Speaker 4: Yeah, we just see the end result, right, we don't
- 26:01Speaker 4: know the conversation. So like, why isn't he getting offers,
- 26:03Speaker 4: Well maybe he is. And look, the league you're just
- 26:06Speaker 4: opened yesterday, so it's like you can sign for quite
- 26:11Speaker 4: a while.
- 26:13Speaker 2: That's what you know. You get. You get all this news.
- 26:16Speaker 2: You get this influx of news in the NFL, and
- 26:19Speaker 2: it's exciting and there's these emotional highs, like you got
- 26:22Speaker 2: these bad teams making all these moves and like you
- 26:25Speaker 2: feel good about it and.
- 26:26Speaker 4: You're like, oh my god, Wow, we're gonna be really
- 26:27Speaker 4: good next year. Well you forget about like the league
- 26:30Speaker 4: year has been open for less than twenty four hours.
- 26:33Speaker 4: It's a long, long league year. What day free agency
- 26:36Speaker 4: did you sign your deal with Seattle? I was like
- 26:38Speaker 4: a week or two after?
- 26:39Speaker 2: Oh were you? Because like your agent always tells you, okay,
- 26:42Speaker 2: there's day one a free agency, which is your top names.
- 26:46Speaker 2: It was day two of free agency, which is the
- 26:49Speaker 2: guys that waited around to see how Day one went.
- 26:52Speaker 2: And there's day three, which are starters, guys that help
- 26:55Speaker 2: NFL teams. But they're never going to be like the
- 26:59Speaker 2: first two days of free agency. Your name might not
- 27:02Speaker 2: end up on the homepage VSPN dot com, right, but
- 27:05Speaker 2: they're still starting guys in the NFL. And then like
- 27:08Speaker 2: they're and there's kind of like a way that free
- 27:10Speaker 2: agency's done. And I remember being a free agent for
- 27:13Speaker 2: the first time thinking like, holme, my guys, day one,
- 27:15Speaker 2: I hadn't got to call. My agent's like, hey, chill,
- 27:18Speaker 2: you'll get one, Like it'll be three or four days,
- 27:20Speaker 2: Like they're gonna get to you basically yep. And like
- 27:23Speaker 2: but as a player, you're like, oh, my god's day one,
- 27:25Speaker 2: Like I hadn't got a call yet. They start to
- 27:27Speaker 2: panic a little bit because you see like all your
- 27:29Speaker 2: buddies and all these people you played against, like I'm
- 27:31Speaker 2: better than that guy. He got a deal. It's just
- 27:34Speaker 2: there's a wave of free agency and depending on where
- 27:37Speaker 2: you're at, that's when you get your call.
- 27:39Speaker 4: Yeah, and going into it throughout the off season, you
- 27:43Speaker 4: know it is what it is. We all know how
- 27:45Speaker 4: like everything kind of turned out. But at that time,
- 27:47Speaker 4: like my name was, I was kind of at the
- 27:49Speaker 4: top top of the list on quarterbacks as free agents,
- 27:52Speaker 4: and I'm getting close to it and so I'm like, man,
- 27:54Speaker 4: this is gonna be awesome. Then all of a sudden,
- 27:57Speaker 4: like as it hit all of a sudden, my name
- 28:00Speaker 4: just disappeared because unrestricted free agent Peyton Manning was there,
- 28:05Speaker 4: and so it was like all these teams, yeah I
- 28:08Speaker 4: heard him. So all these teams that we had kind
- 28:10Speaker 4: of highlighted potential landing spots, they were all trying to
- 28:14Speaker 4: go after Peyton and then they get Peyton.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Obviously dumb move idiots, but yeah, they were trying to
- 28:21Speaker 2: so they wanted to see how that situation panned out.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Then once that panned out, then it was like, okay,
- 28:26Speaker 2: next on the list. Let's now now that that point
- 28:30Speaker 2: I started doing my visits, right, So I think if
- 28:35Speaker 2: I remember, right, like Whateverason, they thought Peyton was better
- 28:37Speaker 2: than me, like and that it's like you know, Homer's
- 28:41Speaker 2: each just on Denver, Tennessee, San Francisco. I'm trying to remember,
- 28:46Speaker 2: like all the places that were interested in Peyton. Miami,
- 28:49Speaker 2: Miami had a billboard.
- 28:51Speaker 6: Yeah, was a big one.
- 28:54Speaker 2: In Arizona.
- 28:58Speaker 3: Turned out pretty good for me, Yeah, turned out pretty good.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:00Speaker 4: I don't know why what made him go there, but
- 29:03Speaker 4: it has At the time, he had a neck injury,
- 29:05Speaker 4: and I know there was a lot of like there
- 29:07Speaker 4: was a lot of treatment there that was not that
- 29:10Speaker 4: was available in Colorado that wasn't available in other places.
- 29:13Speaker 4: I actually went there and got a lot of those.
- 29:15Speaker 2: Yeah, that was one of the reasons for sure. And
- 29:17Speaker 2: then you know, being intrigued by Elway and they made
- 29:20Speaker 2: the playoffs with Tim Tebow as their quarterback. And no
- 29:23Speaker 2: slight to Tim, but they're like, if we can you know,
- 29:25Speaker 2: if we can get to this point with Tim as
- 29:27Speaker 2: our quarterback, imagine what we can do with Peyton. I'm
- 29:31Speaker 2: not that's That's just the way it played out, Bud.
- 29:35Speaker 2: And then Peyton set the record for like yards passing
- 29:38Speaker 2: in his first year there, so pretty good. Yeah, I
- 29:44Speaker 2: should have done them to the fullback war he had
- 29:45Speaker 2: had even more.
- 29:46Speaker 8: But well, I was about to say they they signed
- 29:49Speaker 8: Peyton knowing that they were like, this is gonna track
- 29:52Speaker 8: Jacob out Louisiana.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Guy. That was the same year.
- 29:56Speaker 4: But you talk about the age drop off. This first
- 29:58Speaker 4: year in Denver a set records. Second year in Denver,
- 30:02Speaker 4: they won the Super Bowl basically in spite of him.
- 30:05Speaker 4: He did that, wouldn't it, wouldn't say. I think it
- 30:07Speaker 4: was the fourth year that he was there.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Now. So the second year they got crushed by Seattle. Oh,
- 30:15Speaker 2: because I was on the team at the beginning of
- 30:17Speaker 2: the year and I was like yes, Seattle, them punks
- 30:20Speaker 2: cut me. I didn't want to settle to win. IM
- 30:23Speaker 2: sure you didn't. I didn't want them to win for
- 30:25Speaker 2: the same reason I might have had the jersey. I'm
- 30:28Speaker 2: still cheering against them that.
- 30:33Speaker 3: Twenty thirteen you were would Yeah. Yeah, that's I saying, yeah.
- 30:38Speaker 2: You're right.
- 30:38Speaker 6: His fourth year was the Super Bowl year.
- 30:41Speaker 2: All right. So that's a couple of news, and I
- 30:42Speaker 2: gets out a free agency. At some point, the show
- 30:46Speaker 2: will give you a kind of recap of the biggest
- 30:48Speaker 2: deals and all the guys that are paid and dollar
- 30:52Speaker 2: dollar bills and going to be set for the rest
- 30:54Speaker 2: of their life because they got incredible dealsult they should.
- 30:56Speaker 3: Be set for the rest of their life.
- 30:59Speaker 2: When we come back, LSU Baseball's got their first SEC series,
- 31:03Speaker 2: so we'll kind of give you look into l s
- 31:05Speaker 2: U and Vanderbilt in Nashville, and we'll do that right
- 31:09Speaker 2: here on OTV.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Off the Bench two thousand and seven Champs, Purple and
- 31:24Speaker 1: Gold to the Core. This is Off the Bench with
- 31:27Speaker 1: Hester and Flynn Matton, Rouge's go to for all things

- 32:18Speaker 3: join the team.
- 32:18Speaker 4: Oh yeah, look for members of that PALA family because
- 32:21Speaker 4: as they grow, well, the need for more employees, more
- 32:25Speaker 4: good people to add to that family as well. So
- 32:27Speaker 4: PALA right now is absolutely rolling projects all over the
- 32:30Speaker 4: Gulf South, capital projects all over the Midwest, and so
- 32:34Speaker 4: there is a need there for good people and good
- 32:38Speaker 4: people that want to work hard and work for the
- 32:39Speaker 4: best company around.
- 32:40Speaker 3: Like you said, employee owned.

- 33:00Speaker 4: level with a company that loves to promote from within
- 33:03Speaker 4: and that is employee on, visit palagroup dot com.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Pala group dot com. All right, SEC baseball starts this weekend,
- 33:15Speaker 2: and so just real quick before we get to uh,
- 33:17Speaker 2: probably the next couple of segments, LSU and in Vanderbilt,
- 33:21Speaker 2: give you an idea of where everybody sits in the SEC.
- 33:26Speaker 3: Now we were talking about a little bit yesterday.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Line told you Texas off to a great start sixteen
- 33:31Speaker 2: and oh, I lost the game and looked real good
- 33:37Speaker 2: doing so. All right, so they're sixteen and oh Texas
- 33:40Speaker 2: A and M right now fifteen and one, winners of
- 33:42Speaker 2: six in a row. Kentucky fifteen and two winners of
- 33:45Speaker 2: ten in a row, Mississippi State fifteen and two winners
- 33:48Speaker 2: of four in a row, Missouri fifteen and two winners
- 33:53Speaker 2: of thirteen in a row, Oklahoma fifteen and two winners
- 33:56Speaker 2: of five in a row, the Auburn Tigers fourteen and
- 33:59Speaker 2: two winners of seven in a row. Alabama fifteen and three.
- 34:03Speaker 2: They have won six in a row, Florida fifteen and
- 34:05Speaker 2: three they've won two in a row. Georgia fifteen and three,
- 34:09Speaker 2: they've won four in a row. Oh Miss fifteen and three,
- 34:11Speaker 2: they've lost one. Tennessee thirteen and four, one win, LSU
- 34:18Speaker 2: one win, thirteen and five, Arkansas twelve and five, they've
- 34:22Speaker 2: lost two in a row. South Carolina twelve and six
- 34:25Speaker 2: they lost their last time out. And Vanderbilt eleven and seven,
- 34:29Speaker 2: and they've only won their last game out. So no
- 34:32Speaker 2: winning streak for Vanderbilt either. So LSU thirteen and five,
- 34:37Speaker 2: Vanderbilt eleven and seven towards the bottom.
- 34:42Speaker 8: Imagine at the beginning of the year, you're like LSU,
- 34:45Speaker 8: Arkansas and Vandy or three of the bottom four teams.
- 34:48Speaker 6: Nobody would Nobody would have said that was gonna happen.
- 34:50Speaker 6: It's just been a weird year.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Yeah, Man, Missouri and Kentucky some of the best teams
- 34:56Speaker 2: so far in the nine con Now Landra certainly watch
- 35:01Speaker 2: a lot of SEC teams and kind of know SEC
- 35:03Speaker 2: baseball better than any of us.
- 35:06Speaker 3: Is some of this because of maybe who they've played?
- 35:09Speaker 2: Is some of this going to change once we get
- 35:11Speaker 2: started this weekend in conference play?
- 35:14Speaker 3: Is there some fools gold maybe in these standings?
- 35:18Speaker 7: So I am certified Texas A and M hater and
- 35:22Speaker 7: I don't want to like them. I haven't watched a
- 35:25Speaker 7: lot of Texas A and M, but it feels like
- 35:27Speaker 7: even last year they.
- 35:31Speaker 5: They were bad last.
- 35:32Speaker 3: Year and then they can high expectation.
- 35:35Speaker 7: Yeah, and then they had to like win out the
- 35:37Speaker 7: SEC tournament to make it to the postseason or something
- 35:40Speaker 7: like that. But I mean, I think they were ranked
- 35:44Speaker 7: like in the top twenty five coming in.
- 35:45Speaker 2: But I don't know.
- 35:48Speaker 7: Texas is really on fire right now, and yeah, they're
- 35:51Speaker 7: playing lesser teams, but everybody is right. Yeah, I think
- 35:54Speaker 7: Missouri is the one that's gonna probably end up being
- 35:57Speaker 7: the one that's maybe a little fools gold. But I
- 36:00Speaker 7: haven't looked at their schedule too much. But Texas is
- 36:02Speaker 7: just dominating right now, and they're going to open up
- 36:07Speaker 7: the season versus somebody who also looks really good right now,
- 36:11Speaker 7: Ole Miss.
- 36:11Speaker 5: They both have really good pitching.
- 36:14Speaker 7: Ole Miss and Texas do, so they're going to be
- 36:16Speaker 7: fun to watch if you want to watch something when
- 36:19Speaker 7: you're not watching LSU versus Vanderbilt.
- 36:22Speaker 5: But I don't know.
- 36:23Speaker 7: I'm excited for the Conference play as an entirety to
- 36:26Speaker 7: start Kentucky, you know, is always going to be in
- 36:28Speaker 7: the conversation because Man Jones, great coaches, Helly, they have
- 36:33Speaker 7: the small ball and situational hitting down to the science.
- 36:37Speaker 7: So they're always going to be in the conversation. They're
- 36:39Speaker 7: always going to be a team to look out for
- 36:41Speaker 7: in the SEC.
- 36:42Speaker 3: So yeah, yeah, I kind of like the way they play.
- 36:45Speaker 5: Yeah, I like the way they play too.
- 36:47Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a little old school, little throwback. Yeah, infect
- 36:52Speaker 2: your runs anyway you can.
- 36:53Speaker 5: Yeah, you gotta win, however, you have to win, and
- 36:55Speaker 5: he found a way to do it. So that's the
- 36:58Speaker 5: philosophy they have.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Missouri.
- 37:03Speaker 3: Missouri's opponents have been great.
- 37:05Speaker 7: No.
- 37:06Speaker 3: Uh.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Their weekend series have been against Mount Saint Mary's New Haven.
- 37:12Speaker 5: Devin Shearon came from there.
- 37:14Speaker 2: They had okay, yeah, yeah, they had a series, uh
- 37:16Speaker 2: two game series against Arkansas Pine Bluff, uh, North Dakota State,
- 37:20Speaker 2: University of Illinois Chicago a four game series with them,
- 37:24Speaker 2: and then they just played Southern Indiana.
- 37:26Speaker 3: Uh in the midweeks.
- 37:27Speaker 6: Well, these are colleges, yes, ok.
- 37:30Speaker 2: Look, and I we can't go too much here. I
- 37:33Speaker 2: just remember between Northeastern Sacramento.
- 37:36Speaker 5: State, Missouri had not won not a single game, and
- 37:39Speaker 5: then what happened.
- 37:43Speaker 8: They swept Texas A and M the end the season. Yeah,
- 37:45Speaker 8: oh yeah, right, that's why I'm not worried about guys.
- 37:48Speaker 8: It's Texas A and M. Right, they're going they're going
- 37:51Speaker 8: to collapse. It's a sport where they keep score. They're
- 37:55Speaker 8: going to underachieve. It's Texas A and M. Yeah, they
- 38:00Speaker 8: were hot at the beginning of the last year.
- 38:01Speaker 3: Well the last year.
- 38:04Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, they were actually terrible.
- 38:06Speaker 2: Yeah, they were supposed to be them one team in
- 38:08Speaker 2: the country, and then they started out horrid.
- 38:11Speaker 5: That's why when we dropped the series to them, we
- 38:13Speaker 5: were like, oh, well they.
- 38:15Speaker 6: Picked it up at the back cap. But then Missouri
- 38:17Speaker 6: after that, well Missouri was just terrible.
- 38:22Speaker 2: I'm gonna I'm gonna give a team to watch out
- 38:26Speaker 2: for that.
- 38:26Speaker 3: I think it's the real deal.
- 38:27Speaker 2: That's not going to be a part of many conversations
- 38:29Speaker 2: because of how good Texas and others have looked. Nah,
- 38:34Speaker 2: because I mean they're supposed to be like, yeah, that's fair,
- 38:37Speaker 2: you know, like that's their main sport. Like I always
- 38:40Speaker 2: expect them to be good. The Auburn Tigers. It's not
- 38:44Speaker 2: for everybody. Kind of like Kentucky. But I liked the
- 38:46Speaker 2: way they were scrappy a year ago. Yeah, I like
- 38:49Speaker 2: they They surprised a lot of people a year ago.
- 38:51Speaker 3: When you say it's not for everybody, what do you
- 38:52Speaker 3: mean by that?
- 38:54Speaker 2: Like, So for Kentucky, there is going to be some
- 38:57Speaker 2: small ball elements. You're going to bunt runners over, You're
- 39:00Speaker 2: gonna be very aggressive on the base pass steal a lot. Yeah,
- 39:03Speaker 2: you're trying to manufacture runs any possible way you can.
- 39:06Speaker 2: So for you, like you like a brand of baseball
- 39:09Speaker 2: where it's dangers, I like steals? Well, okay, well I've
- 39:12Speaker 2: heard I just like things that are exciting.
- 39:15Speaker 3: You don't.
- 39:15Speaker 2: You don't have a drop that talks about steals. You
- 39:17Speaker 2: have a drop that talks about hitting dangers. Right, So
- 39:20Speaker 2: like for you, if that's the brand of baseball that
- 39:22Speaker 2: you like, gorilla ball, you're not gonna like watching Kentucky.
- 39:26Speaker 4: Hitting runs, sez you might like. I like standard bunt though,
- 39:32Speaker 4: just Bundy guy over to get on second.
- 39:34Speaker 2: Okay, they do a lot of that, you know what, Well,
- 39:36Speaker 2: they actually they'll steal in the second move in the.
- 39:38Speaker 4: Third, but second to third's okay. N The second week
- 39:46Speaker 4: not as weak as the sliding glove.
- 39:48Speaker 5: But no, I hate his sliding.
- 39:49Speaker 3: I mean, who made that popular?
- 39:53Speaker 6: A baker? It's an oven Mitt, that's man.
- 39:55Speaker 3: I got a fun police out today.
- 39:57Speaker 2: Huh it's not fun.
- 39:58Speaker 6: Yeah, you're there. Ain't nothing fun about the sliding.
- 40:02Speaker 3: Mit, there's nothing fun about it.
- 40:03Speaker 6: You can't even make it look cool customize that does it?
- 40:06Speaker 2: I mean just ads like, I don't know you are
- 40:11Speaker 2: this passionate about the the sliding.
- 40:14Speaker 4: It's one thing I've always been passionate about with baseball,
- 40:17Speaker 4: the sliding.
- 40:18Speaker 2: Mit.
- 40:18Speaker 4: The sliding, man, I hate it. It's as it's as
- 40:22Speaker 4: bad as the backwards out. Ooh, that's big for you,
