- 1:47Speaker 3: I ever talked about lately is more depressing weather news.
- 1:51Speaker 3: We're going to talk about the potential flooding with Brian
- 1:53Speaker 3: hust from Storm Track for thirteen coming up a little
- 1:55Speaker 3: bit later on pleasant is Valentine's Day, so we will
- 1:58Speaker 3: go live to the Canawa County courtout and check in
- 2:00Speaker 3: with Judge Mary Claire Akers and see where we are
- 2:02Speaker 3: in the status sheet. As far as her Valentine's Day
- 2:05Speaker 3: weddings go, this is the annual King of Hearts event
- 2:08Speaker 3: that Judge Charlie King started years ago and Judge Jakers
- 2:12Speaker 3: has continued that now. As of I talked to the
- 2:14Speaker 3: judge yesterday. As of yesterday they had had ten weddings
- 2:17Speaker 3: and two adoptions scheduled for today. She's already hard at work.
- 2:21Speaker 3: We'll try to bother her for just a moment or
- 2:23Speaker 3: two to talk about that. Plus Rob Reel from her
- 2:26Speaker 3: sister station ninety six to one KWS has got something
- 2:29Speaker 3: on his mind. He asked if he could stop by

- 2:41Speaker 3: let's welcome in Hannah Gardner from the Cannella Charleston You
- 2:44Speaker 3: Maaine Association with this week's Adopt Me Please Pet of
- 2:46Speaker 3: the Week. Hannah, Good morning, welcome to the show and
- 2:49Speaker 3: happy Valentine's Day. Good morning, all right, we got our
- 2:55Speaker 3: picture posted of our Pet of the week, as always
- 2:57Speaker 3: posted on Dave Allen Radio on Facebook and at seventy
- 3:00Speaker 3: on x. The artist formerly known as Twitter It's Lizzo.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Tell us about Lizzo.
- 3:07Speaker 5: All right, Lizzo. She is a really really really cute girl.
- 3:11Speaker 5: Check her out on the pictures. But she I could
- 3:16Speaker 5: not tell you what she is, maybe some type of
- 3:19Speaker 5: pity lab paddle dog something I do not know. That
- 3:24Speaker 5: she is a cute like brown brindle girl. On the
- 3:30Speaker 5: top of her and then on hers like white and speckled,
- 3:35Speaker 5: white and black speckled. But anyway, she is around two
- 3:39Speaker 5: years old. She is a female. She's fade and she
- 3:43Speaker 5: go home. She's micro chip and vaccinated, so she is
- 3:47Speaker 5: ready and up to all of that. You have her
- 3:51Speaker 5: raby sex well, so she's good on all of that.
- 3:55Speaker 5: She is fully sponsored as well. So I believe quite
- 3:58Speaker 5: a few when the flooding happened, quite a few members
- 4:02Speaker 5: of the public companies they all different places reached out
- 4:06Speaker 5: and I think almost all of our animals sponsored right now.
- 4:11Speaker 5: So definitely, at least the candle dogs are, so definitely
- 4:15Speaker 5: come up. Look at our website we've got we should
- 4:18Speaker 5: have them all listed as you know what their prices
- 4:21Speaker 5: are and stuff. So definitely check that out. But Lizzo
- 4:24Speaker 5: fully sponsored sweet girl. She loves treats, very very food motivation.
- 4:29Speaker 5: So if you would want to train her that she
- 4:31Speaker 5: would be great with some treat She does pool a
- 4:35Speaker 5: little bit releashed, so working with her on that would
- 4:38Speaker 5: be great. She does not have to stick, stick and
- 4:41Speaker 5: lay down, so she she already knows how to do
- 4:44Speaker 5: those things. Angie, who has actually been on the ship,
- 4:48Speaker 5: comes before she has as a diplomat. So we have
- 4:53Speaker 5: we all have doggy where we try to get some
- 4:55Speaker 5: adolts and Angie f.
- 5:01Speaker 3: All right, hand handah handah. Hannah, we're having a real
- 5:04Speaker 3: difficult time hearing you here, so maybe you can like
- 5:07Speaker 3: stand in one spot or something or something because we're
- 5:10Speaker 3: having a really difficult time hearing you here.
- 5:14Speaker 5: Okay, can you hear me?
- 5:15Speaker 3: That sounds pretty good. Just don't move for the next
- 5:18Speaker 3: three minutes. How's that?
- 5:20Speaker 5: Okay?
- 5:20Speaker 3: All right? All right? So she's a diplomat. Explain how
- 5:23Speaker 3: the diplomat program goes again.
- 5:25Speaker 6: Yes, so we.
- 5:26Speaker 5: Have a dogy diplomat program where you can take a
- 5:31Speaker 5: dog from our kennels, any of the adult dogs. You
- 5:36Speaker 5: can make this doggy and what that is basically just
- 5:40Speaker 5: getting them out whenever you throughout the day and taking
- 5:45Speaker 5: pictures of them, learning about them with them, basically just
- 5:49Speaker 5: helping them get it off to it all right.
- 5:52Speaker 3: Before I let you go. And again hopefully next week
- 5:55Speaker 3: we'll have a little bit better connection for you. We'll
- 5:57Speaker 3: talk in the tail about a out lizo a little
- 6:00Speaker 3: bit later on. I've got all the details, but I
- 6:03Speaker 3: know Tucks and Tails has been set for May third
- 6:05Speaker 3: at the Roughner here in Charleston. Down in Derby. It's
- 6:08Speaker 3: being called a conjunction I suppose with the Kentucky Derby.
- 6:11Speaker 3: I just know one it out there now so people
- 6:13Speaker 3: can get it on their calendar. Again, it's May third
- 6:15Speaker 3: for Tuxes and Tails. That is always a premier event
- 6:18Speaker 3: here in Charleston.
- 6:18Speaker 5: Hannah, Yes, we absolutely love Tuxes and Tails. We have
- 6:23Speaker 5: it every single years. The fundraising event that we have
- 6:26Speaker 5: where you can dress up. It is the Derby Cinema
- 6:29Speaker 5: gift that we are having that, so you can definitely
- 6:33Speaker 5: come in your Sunday best dressed or just a nice,
- 6:37Speaker 5: nice little outfit if you want to show up. And
- 6:39Speaker 5: it is it's a Roughner, so it is a new
- 6:41Speaker 5: location this year, and we definitely want to see everybody
- 6:44Speaker 5: come out, So check out the tickets online. You can
- 6:47Speaker 5: go to our social media. We have a Texas of
- 6:49Speaker 5: Tales Facebook page where you can look at all of
- 6:52Speaker 5: the different ticket prices.
- 6:54Speaker 7: That we have.
- 6:54Speaker 3: All right, and again that's going to be coming up
- 6:56Speaker 3: on May third. We'll talk about that in the tails
- 6:57Speaker 3: we get a little bit closer. How are the numbers
- 7:00Speaker 3: looking overall at the shelter? And I know, just like
- 7:02Speaker 3: everybody else, including Brian Hughes, who we're going to talk
- 7:04Speaker 3: to you a little bit later, you guys are keeping
- 7:05Speaker 3: an eye in the water situation too.
- 7:09Speaker 5: Yes, so we definitely are still up there in our census.
- 7:13Speaker 5: We still have a lot of kennel dogs. I think
- 7:15Speaker 5: we're still up in like two hundreds, maybe almost three hundred,
- 7:20Speaker 5: but we definitely are still at pretty high up there capacity.
- 7:25Speaker 5: But we are still tucking along with getting animals adopted
- 7:29Speaker 5: and stuff, and we for sure are still watching out
- 7:31Speaker 5: for the waters with the flooding of yes, there's more
- 7:35Speaker 5: flooding going to be definitely are keeping an eye on
- 7:39Speaker 5: that and all of our safe and secure.
- 7:42Speaker 3: All right, Annah, as always a pleasure to talk to you,
- 7:45Speaker 3: and we will have a special thought and prayer for
- 7:47Speaker 3: you tomorrow because again we're expecting some heavy rain. I
- 7:50Speaker 3: know a lot of times this really really impacts the
- 7:52Speaker 3: folks at the shelter, So hopefully everybody and all the
- 7:54Speaker 3: creatures big and small will make it through it, including
- 7:57Speaker 3: the human creatures. Okay, I appreciate you being We'll talk
- 8:00Speaker 3: again soon. Thanks a lot.
- 8:02Speaker 5: Thank you.

- 8:40Speaker 3: seventy on x two year old female. She is spade,
- 8:44Speaker 3: micro chip vaccinated and ready to go home around thirty
- 8:48Speaker 3: nine forty pounds or so. Fully sponsored as are as
- 8:52Speaker 3: Samnah said, as are most of the dogs up at
- 8:55Speaker 3: the shelter fully sponsored, meaning that she is absolutely free.
- 8:59Speaker 4: She is.
- 9:00Speaker 3: It's a super sweet girl. She loves treats. Should be
- 9:04Speaker 3: easy to train, they say, because well, you know, she
- 9:07Speaker 3: likes streets. She already knows how to sit, she knows
- 9:10Speaker 3: how to shake and how to lay down all of
- 9:13Speaker 3: those on command. She does pull slightly on the leash,
- 9:16Speaker 3: but again with a little leash training maybe using the treats,
- 9:18Speaker 3: you should be able to work through that. No problem.
- 9:20Speaker 3: She loves attention and she can be very playful and calm.
- 9:27Speaker 3: She's just an all around great dog. And again you
- 9:30Speaker 3: can go and look at the picture over on my
- 9:31Speaker 3: Facebook page. You're on the x page, and you take
- 9:34Speaker 3: a look at the dog for yourself. She loves people,
- 9:36Speaker 3: as I said, seems to do well with other calm dogs.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Don't know about cats. Always use caution there, but dogs.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Other calm dogs need to be fined. Lizo two year

- 10:37Speaker 3: of thirteen is going to stop by a little bit
- 10:39Speaker 3: later on now. The concern it was went from snow
- 10:42Speaker 3: earlier this week, well last week it was flooding and
- 10:44Speaker 3: then it was snow, which turned out to be not
- 10:46Speaker 3: a whole lot for the Charleston area, as Brian and
- 10:48Speaker 3: Spencer predicted. Now we're looking at heavy rain, I mean
- 10:54Speaker 3: potentially really really heavy rain rolling through the area here
- 10:58Speaker 3: tomorrow and then may be a changeover to snow and
- 11:02Speaker 3: then definitely not so much a big snow event they
- 11:04Speaker 3: say next week as much as Boone chilling cold temperatures.
- 11:08Speaker 3: We'll talk to Brian about that. Plus Rob Reeal from
- 11:10Speaker 3: her sister's station ninety six to one KWS. Flag me
- 11:13Speaker 3: down in the hall this morning, Sai Dave, I need
- 11:14Speaker 3: to come on. I got something I got to talk about.
- 11:16Speaker 3: I said, all right, we'll make time for you, and
- 11:18Speaker 3: when we come back, we're going to do our best
- 11:19Speaker 3: to hook up with Judge Mary Claire Acres, who is
- 11:23Speaker 3: in her courtroom right now. It's Valentine's Day and she
- 11:26Speaker 3: does every year. She is continuing doing a marathon of
- 11:29Speaker 3: weddings and we're hoping this works out with her schedule
- 11:32Speaker 3: because again she's trying to get people wedded up right now,
- 11:34Speaker 3: and I would hate to be the one, you know,
- 11:36Speaker 3: to interrupt somebody's wedding ceremony to for her to do
- 11:38Speaker 3: a little radio hit. But we'll try to do that
- 11:40Speaker 3: here momentarily. We'll take a break back after this on

- 14:50Speaker 3: you're gonna be over I guess Kyle, Sean and I
- 14:53Speaker 3: for Rascal Flats.
- 14:54Speaker 12: I'll tell you what the stars aligned for this. Rascal
- 14:58Speaker 12: Flats life is a Highway twenty twenty five reunion anniversary
- 15:03Speaker 12: farewell tour thing that they're doing. Not only do we
- 15:06Speaker 12: get them on Valentine's Night, which is a Friday night,
- 15:09Speaker 12: and they've got some great love songs, but it's also
- 15:11Speaker 12: like the third show of the tour, so everything's gonna
- 15:16Speaker 12: be really fresh. I mean, they've come off their rehearsals,
- 15:19Speaker 12: but everything's still kind of coming together and it's spontaneous
- 15:22Speaker 12: and fun. And so I'll be go hanging out at
- 15:25Speaker 12: the coliseum. So let's do a fist bump on your
- 15:27Speaker 12: way in.
- 15:28Speaker 3: All right, all right, I'm gonna ask you to hold
- 15:30Speaker 3: on just one second, because I want to go live
- 15:32Speaker 3: to you stay here with me because you may have
- 15:34Speaker 3: something fun to say. Let's go to Judge Mary Claire
- 15:38Speaker 3: Acres in her courtroom. Judge Acres, good morning, Good.
- 15:42Speaker 7: Morning, Dave. How are you all happy? Valentine's Day.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Happy Valentine's Day to you as well. I've also got
- 15:46Speaker 3: rob reeal from her sister station. Ninety six one KWS
- 15:49Speaker 3: is going to be posted up tonight over the Rascal
- 15:51Speaker 3: Flat Show over the Coloseuma Convention Center. How are we
- 15:54Speaker 3: doing so far, your judge, ship, Well.
- 15:57Speaker 7: We have three waiting right now hopper to go. We
- 16:01Speaker 7: just did our first one. We took a break because
- 16:03Speaker 7: they're being interviewed right now, and we have twelve to
- 16:07Speaker 7: fifteen more that are scheduled to go today.
- 16:09Speaker 12: All right, So when you get to ten, do you
- 16:11Speaker 12: get a free foot long sub for doing it on
- 16:14Speaker 12: your punch guard.
- 16:14Speaker 7: Your honor, I do not. My secretary did bring in
- 16:18Speaker 7: Valentine's Day donuts, so that's a close second.
- 16:20Speaker 3: All right, all right, I should find somebody to marry. Yeah,
- 16:23Speaker 3: well that didn't work out well for the first six
- 16:25Speaker 3: times for you there, sir, but two oh for two,
- 16:28Speaker 3: I'm just kid one and six all right? So again,
- 16:31Speaker 3: and I had you on earlier this week, Judge, explain
- 16:33Speaker 3: how this whole thing works. What people need to do
- 16:35Speaker 3: if they want to get wetted up today.
- 16:37Speaker 7: If you want to get married today, you just need
- 16:39Speaker 7: a valid marriage license from any county clerk in West Virginia,
- 16:42Speaker 7: and I can do it in my courtroom. I don't
- 16:45Speaker 7: know the fee for that. There's some small fee to
- 16:48Speaker 7: get your marriage license. You can get married the exact
- 16:50Speaker 7: same day. Just head on over and we'll do it
- 16:53Speaker 7: all right.
- 16:53Speaker 3: And again, I know people have been making appointments earlier
- 16:57Speaker 3: in the week, but walk ins are welcome. What time
- 16:59Speaker 3: do you do you end everything today?
- 17:02Speaker 7: We will end at five.
- 17:04Speaker 3: End at five, So you got till now till five o'clock.
- 17:06Speaker 3: And as somebody pointed out on the text line earlier
- 17:08Speaker 3: when you were live in studio with me, judge, if
- 17:10Speaker 3: somebody wants I called it a reenactment yesterday, I don't
- 17:13Speaker 3: think that's exactly the right word. But if somebody wants
- 17:16Speaker 3: to do the renewal of the vows, they can also
- 17:17Speaker 3: do that.
- 17:19Speaker 7: Absolutely, We're up for anything over here. This is a
- 17:21Speaker 7: fun day. We have a good time. We've got a
- 17:23Speaker 7: couple of adoptions that are scheduled, so those things we
- 17:26Speaker 7: will definitely stop the weddings to do. But we are
- 17:29Speaker 7: looking forward to a whole day of just fun over here.
- 17:31Speaker 12: So your honor, whether it's the adoptions or the weddings.
- 17:35Speaker 12: I assume these are the most fun things that you
- 17:37Speaker 12: get to do. Do you have different versions of your ceremonies,
- 17:42Speaker 12: like if somebody's literally there on their lunch, like we
- 17:45Speaker 12: need to get in and get out your honor or
- 17:48Speaker 12: do you have I mean, you know one of mine
- 17:50Speaker 12: went that way, or do you have a more elaborate
- 17:54Speaker 12: sentimental version that you do if you know, maybe it's
- 17:57Speaker 12: a first go round, or maybe you know, reunited my
- 18:00Speaker 12: school loves after thirty years get back together.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Do you do it different ways?
- 18:05Speaker 7: We do a lot of times. It makes a difference
- 18:07Speaker 7: whether somebody has rings or not. People do think that
- 18:10Speaker 7: they have to have rings. They don't. We have a
- 18:12Speaker 7: whole different ceremony if you don't have rings. We have
- 18:15Speaker 7: a ceremony for people who are getting remarried after being divorced,
- 18:19Speaker 7: which I do quite a bit as well.
- 18:20Speaker 3: All right, well, judge, I know you're really busy. We'll
- 18:22Speaker 3: let you get right back to it. And I know
- 18:24Speaker 3: you said that to your couple. This is a media
- 18:27Speaker 3: of it because I get you on the radio and
- 18:29Speaker 3: then the couple that's about to get married to be
- 18:30Speaker 3: an interviewed. I'm presuming by a television station or something
- 18:34Speaker 3: right now. But God bless you for what you do.
- 18:36Speaker 3: This is a fun event, and in the world of
- 18:38Speaker 3: court proceedings, we probably need a little fun every now
- 18:42Speaker 3: and then. We'll let you get back to it. I
- 18:43Speaker 3: appreciate you being here. Thanks a lot, Thanks you guys.
- 18:46Speaker 7: Have a great Valentine's Day you as.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Well, Judge Mary Claire Akers. And again we'll be touching
- 18:50Speaker 3: base with her throughout the day and reporting it back
- 18:53Speaker 3: to the newsroom to Jeff and the folks so they
- 18:55Speaker 3: can get the story on that. That's kind of a
- 18:58Speaker 3: cool thing. That And by the way, Robert not been
- 19:00Speaker 3: married six times. I was kidding about that, It's only
- 19:02Speaker 3: been two. Hyperbole's the best thing ever.
- 19:05Speaker 12: Yeah, want to knowlment one divorce for those of you
- 19:07Speaker 12: scoring at home, and if you're scoring at home, happy
- 19:08Speaker 12: Valentine's Day.
- 19:09Speaker 13: Uh.
- 19:10Speaker 12: You know what I should have suggested to her honor?
- 19:13Speaker 12: She mentioned adoptions. And I thought of this when Gal,
- 19:18Speaker 12: who used to work here still a friend of ours,
- 19:21Speaker 12: went through an adoption process about a year ago with
- 19:25Speaker 12: I want to say the boy was around three or
- 19:27Speaker 12: four at the time, and he got to take the
- 19:29Speaker 12: picture with the great big gavel but he didn't get
- 19:32Speaker 12: to keep it. We got to find a way to
- 19:34Speaker 12: get the comically large gavels so that the adoption kids
- 19:38Speaker 12: get to keep that as a little as.
- 19:40Speaker 3: A little memoric cool that she does that. And I
- 19:42Speaker 3: left that, and then we got the idea when somebody
- 19:45Speaker 3: text earlier this week and said, what about what about
- 19:47Speaker 3: doing the renewal of the vows? I don't know that
- 19:49Speaker 3: if they've done it in the past, but they are.
- 19:51Speaker 3: And poor Tom Sussman, my buddy, you know, my political consultant, Tom.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Neither one of us who've both been married for a
- 19:55Speaker 3: long time, not to each other. I think I could
- 20:00Speaker 3: probably do better than Toime. I'm just saying, but it
- 20:02Speaker 3: did do better. But anyway, but anyway, neither one of
- 20:06Speaker 3: us could come up with it yesterday and both of
- 20:08Speaker 3: us have been married for a long time. And I
- 20:09Speaker 3: called it the reenactment. It's called the renewal of vals,
- 20:14Speaker 3: so reboot. Let me get a quick text here before
- 20:17Speaker 3: we'll get to why you're actually here. Real Tex says
- 20:19Speaker 3: like a Vegas w wedding, Lol, Elvis as a witness.
- 20:24Speaker 3: I'm sure everything. Here's the thing about Rob, everything that
- 20:28Speaker 3: I come up with, He's got a story from one
- 20:30Speaker 3: of the forty eight different places he's worked. So do
- 20:32Speaker 3: you have an Elvis wedding story.
- 20:33Speaker 12: I do not have it, although my recollection is that
- 20:37Speaker 12: for about ten fifteen years or so, Nevada has not
- 20:41Speaker 12: done same day marriage licenses. Reilly, I don't think you
- 20:44Speaker 12: can get for the whole we've been overserved quickie wedding
- 20:50Speaker 12: overnight thing, I think to alleviate that, I don't think
- 20:52Speaker 12: Nevada does same day anymore. I know that Tennessee does.
- 20:57Speaker 12: Don't ask why I know that, and then you talk
- 21:01Speaker 12: about renewal of the valves. I have no punchline for this.
- 21:04Speaker 12: This is a one hundred percent true story. My late
- 21:06Speaker 12: older brother was married four times, but only to two women.
- 21:10Speaker 12: He married Patty, once divorced, married again, divorced, then he
- 21:15Speaker 12: married Jody, divorced, married again, and so yeah, he was
- 21:20Speaker 12: married four times, but to only two women.
- 21:22Speaker 3: All right, so it's interesting math there. That's yes, that's
- 21:25Speaker 3: your that's your family. So we talked at length about
- 21:28Speaker 3: your family. Ain't nobody got time for all that talking
- 21:31Speaker 3: about your family.
- 21:31Speaker 12: I am the white sheep of my family, to be sure, But.
- 21:35Speaker 3: Ave Alan Chow and five Eddie lie broad to bar

- 21:47Speaker 3: and Milton. Visit snapfitness dot com for more details. All right,
- 21:50Speaker 3: so you actually had a purpose for being here.
- 21:53Speaker 12: Today, and that is so I know a thing or
- 21:56Speaker 12: two about economics, and the big story yesterday in the
- 22:01Speaker 12: economic world is that eggs are at the highest price
- 22:05Speaker 12: they have ever been, and not just what you see
- 22:07Speaker 12: on the price tag, that in in constant dollars, as
- 22:10Speaker 12: we talk about in economics, you know, compared to like
- 22:12Speaker 12: nineteen hundred or whatever. They are astronomically expensive, ridiculously so
- 22:19Speaker 12: uh so uh crash. And I put our heads together
- 22:22Speaker 12: and got a little spark that we're gonna give away
- 22:26Speaker 12: cartons of eggs next week up relarly on ninety six
- 22:29Speaker 12: to one KWA cartons of egg cartons of eggs. Our
- 22:32Speaker 12: friends at the Big Ley Pigly Wiggly immediately jumped on board. Yes,
- 22:36Speaker 12: we can make this happen. We like to play the games.
- 22:39Speaker 12: Up reelarly seven twenty is when we're gonna do it,
- 22:42Speaker 12: and we're gonna bring one of our favorite games out.
- 22:44Speaker 3: What's your Name?
- 22:45Speaker 12: It's where I give you three clues about somebody like
- 22:48Speaker 12: if if I were to say, uh, he you know,
- 22:52Speaker 12: hosts a talk show nine to ten every morning on
- 22:55Speaker 12: the WCHS network, that would be number one. Number two
- 22:58Speaker 12: he is the pride of Low County and has been
- 23:01Speaker 12: married to somebody way out of his league for way
- 23:03Speaker 12: too long. And clue number three might be you know,
- 23:05Speaker 12: he also moonlights on our sister station ninety eight seven
- 23:08Speaker 12: The Mountain. What's your name? Then the person would say,
- 23:12Speaker 12: hopefully the remarkable Dave of Allen.
- 23:15Speaker 3: That's how that came. Is it going to be like
- 23:17Speaker 3: people in the building? Is it going to be just
- 23:19Speaker 3: anybody could be like me? I mean like real celebrities,
- 23:22Speaker 3: not like us, I mean like real celebrity.
- 23:24Speaker 12: So what is what is Monday on the calendar? What
- 23:27Speaker 12: is the holiday on Monday? President's Day? It is actually
- 23:30Speaker 12: Washington's birth according to the federal government, but most folks.
- 23:34Speaker 3: Call it President.
- 23:34Speaker 12: Yeah, so all next week another thing we do is
- 23:37Speaker 12: the real interesting fact at six point fifty, So those
- 23:41Speaker 12: will all be president related and those might lean into
- 23:44Speaker 12: the answers for what's your name at seven twenty, So.
- 23:47Speaker 3: You go do that seven twenty Monday through Friday.
- 23:50Speaker 12: Well on next week, and we're giving away eggs from
- 23:52Speaker 12: the Big Lee Pigly Wiggly.
- 23:54Speaker 3: And hey, as Letterman used to say, my hero Letterman
- 23:57Speaker 3: as timely as today's headlines.
- 24:00Speaker 12: You know, I see all the folks, Well, you don't
- 24:03Speaker 12: like the price of eggs, you know you should.
- 24:05Speaker 3: You should quit eating them.
- 24:05Speaker 12: You know, use apple sauce when you're baking, Well that's
- 24:08Speaker 12: not gonna do you any good.
- 24:09Speaker 3: When you're trying to fry up a breakfast.
- 24:10Speaker 12: Well you should get you know, you kick get chickens
- 24:13Speaker 12: and they can lay their own for you. I live
- 24:16Speaker 12: in a high rise in downtown Charleston. I cannot have chickens.
- 24:20Speaker 12: There are codes and things.
- 24:21Speaker 3: From southern West Virginia. We can have chickens anywhere.
- 24:25Speaker 12: Look right there in the living room. Yeah, regular or
- 24:26Speaker 12: extra crispy. So you know this, this is hard times
- 24:30Speaker 12: for real folks. And I'm not getting into the politics
- 24:33Speaker 12: any of it. It is it is what it is,
- 24:35Speaker 12: hard times for real folks, and this is this is
- 24:37Speaker 12: a silly little thing we can do we're having some
- 24:39Speaker 12: fun with it, but at the end of the day,
- 24:41Speaker 12: we're trying to help stop egg inflation here in West Virginia,
- 24:44Speaker 12: or at least fight.
- 24:45Speaker 3: It a little bit. Yeah, somebody said me a meme here,
- 24:47Speaker 3: and I actually saw this on the Mountain Facebook page
- 24:50Speaker 3: and this Valentine's Day get or something expensive and it
- 24:53Speaker 3: was a man presenting the woman with some with some eggs,
- 24:56Speaker 3: with a carton of eggs. We've got one of those
- 24:58Speaker 3: on our Facebook page too. So oh he went to
- 25:00Speaker 3: the big Ley Pigly. Wait did you see the story?
- 25:03Speaker 3: And it was reported by a lot of people. Uh,
- 25:05Speaker 3: maybe you got you maybe be talked about it on
- 25:07Speaker 3: your show. Uh that people are renting chickens now, they're
- 25:11Speaker 3: renting out chickens. I mean, you gotta do what you
- 25:14Speaker 3: gotta do. Uh.
- 25:17Speaker 12: I would love to say that, uh that that I've
- 25:20Speaker 12: seen stranger things, and I probably have, but not this week.
- 25:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:25Speaker 12: I just uh, it's it's it's rough out there for
- 25:28Speaker 12: working folks.
- 25:28Speaker 3: It is it is, And this is a cool thing.
- 25:30Speaker 3: I mean you know that you folks are doing. You
- 25:32Speaker 3: grab me in the hall this morning and told me
- 25:33Speaker 3: what you're gonna do. I said, yeah, we gotta give
- 25:36Speaker 3: a little bit of air time for this we got.
- 25:37Speaker 3: I mean, we're trying to have a little fun.
- 25:39Speaker 12: It's tongue in cheek, but you know, like it's hard
- 25:42Speaker 12: out there, so I get it.
- 25:43Speaker 3: And in all the years that you have been in radio,
- 25:45Speaker 3: have you, I mean you've done a lot of things
- 25:47Speaker 3: including walk into Morgantown and uh uh and and different
- 25:50Speaker 3: things sock drops and turkey drops whatever? Have you ever
- 25:53Speaker 3: given away eggs on the air before?
- 25:54Speaker 12: This is the first free I think this is a
- 25:56Speaker 12: first of given away eggs. But we've done uh, I've
- 26:00Speaker 12: done bacon, and we did ground sausage last year for
- 26:05Speaker 12: Groundhog Day, the ground pork sausage ground Hog. I've given
- 26:10Speaker 12: away a divorce, not mine. Yeah, but you know that
- 26:14Speaker 12: I think that's a brilliant idea. Not everybody has the
- 26:18Speaker 12: same sort of sense of humor that.
- 26:20Speaker 3: The radio people.
- 26:20Speaker 12: I mean, you know why divorce is so expensive because
- 26:23Speaker 12: it's worth it. So given away everything from a card
- 26:29Speaker 12: to now cartons of eggs.
- 26:30Speaker 3: All right, cartons of eggs? Seven and it's What's your Name?
- 26:35Speaker 3: Is the game's sister Sation ninety six one KWS also
- 26:38Speaker 3: available for your favorite streaming device. And online and all
- 26:42Speaker 3: that sort of.

- 26:56Speaker 12: all these people here at eleven eleven Virginia Street East.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Very simple to use that app. Yeah, okay, yeah, somebody
- 27:05Speaker 3: sent me also a picture of how much prices are
- 27:08Speaker 3: on eggs out at the South Ridge Walmart. And yeah,
- 27:11Speaker 3: they're they're spensive.
- 27:13Speaker 12: It's literally, in raw dollars, the most expensive they've ever been,
- 27:18Speaker 12: but astronomical in constant dollars as a function of somebody's income.
- 27:23Speaker 12: It's ridiculous trying to buy eggs.
- 27:26Speaker 3: All right, well we are going to you, uh and
- 27:28Speaker 3: we're all one big, happy, happy, loving family here. You

- 27:55Speaker 3: All right, I think we're done with all the oaks.

- 32:16Speaker 3: go now to media. Roald just Brian Hughes Storm track
- 32:18Speaker 3: of thirteen. Good morning, sir.
- 32:21Speaker 7: We're all good morning to you.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Look look weather guy. Okay. You know I like to
- 32:27Speaker 3: have you on for fun stuff. You're always all over regatta.
- 32:30Speaker 3: We have you on to talk about that as much
- 32:33Speaker 3: as I like you, and we're good buddies and we
- 32:35Speaker 3: share the same twisted sense of humor. I am tired
- 32:39Speaker 3: of talking to you, okay, I'm just tired of talking
- 32:42Speaker 3: about weather stuff here. So where what are we looking
- 32:47Speaker 3: at now? Immediately Todave Valentine's Day. Look Abs, looks looks gorgeous.
- 32:52Speaker 3: I mean it's could be cold, but it's okay. But
- 32:55Speaker 3: then what happens after that?
- 32:58Speaker 4: Well, we're looking at you know, the night sunshow. We
- 33:01Speaker 4: get to drive today, but after that it becomes water logged,
- 33:05Speaker 4: especially for Saturday. But the good news, if we can
- 33:09Speaker 4: look at anything that's good and positive in this is
- 33:11Speaker 4: that we're not going to have as much rain in
- 33:13Speaker 4: southwest Virginia, which allows us to not take in as
- 33:19Speaker 4: much water on some of the rivers that have to
- 33:21Speaker 4: flow north.
- 33:21Speaker 6: So whether that.
- 33:22Speaker 4: Be the Greenbrier, New the Coal River, and the guid
- 33:30Speaker 4: out things of those nature, in which obviously some of
- 33:33Speaker 4: those leading to the canal, we don't have to take
- 33:35Speaker 4: it as much water.
- 33:36Speaker 3: So we're not going to.
- 33:36Speaker 4: See river rises as high as what we're projected yesterday,
- 33:42Speaker 4: because yesterday we were looking at heavy rain standing in
- 33:45Speaker 4: southwest Virginians southeas Kentucky all day long. But now it
- 33:49Speaker 4: looks like we're going to have rain that that would
- 33:51Speaker 4: be on order of, you know, about six to eight
- 33:55Speaker 4: hours worth of rain in the watersheds for parts of
- 33:59Speaker 4: the canal and the hole and such, and then that
- 34:01Speaker 4: lives off to the north and we get about it
- 34:03Speaker 4: six to ten hours worth of drawing before more storms
- 34:06Speaker 4: move in overnight Saturday night, in the Sunday morning, and
- 34:10Speaker 4: then once those passed and it gets cold and we
- 34:13Speaker 4: hold onto the cold for a lot while.
- 34:15Speaker 3: What are the major concerns as far as as the
- 34:17Speaker 3: big rivers go, Brian, you know, as far as the
- 34:19Speaker 3: Canal River in the Ohio River, what are you looking
- 34:22Speaker 3: at there? The big rivers?
- 34:24Speaker 6: The Canal is.
- 34:27Speaker 4: As of yesterday with the forecast came out as forecast
- 34:30Speaker 4: of the crest somewhere around twenty six feet. That's about
- 34:34Speaker 4: three feet higher than it was this last time. It
- 34:37Speaker 4: would also be the highest cress since twenty twenty one,
- 34:40Speaker 4: when we nearly hit minor flood stage at twenty nine
- 34:43Speaker 4: point nine.
- 34:43Speaker 6: I mean we were almost there.
- 34:45Speaker 4: But with what we believe will be revisions downward, I
- 34:51Speaker 4: think we're going to probably be around twenty three feet,
- 34:54Speaker 4: which is about where we were in last time for
- 34:57Speaker 4: our flood stage, maybe even a touch and lower than that.
- 35:00Speaker 4: The median forecasting crest is going to be Monday night
- 35:05Speaker 4: in to Tuesday afternoon, and that could be around twenty
- 35:07Speaker 4: two feet. I'll take that, because listen, anything over twenty
- 35:11Speaker 4: one I got to start waiting to the water to
- 35:12Speaker 4: get off my boat for that.
- 35:13Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, you would think that this is the
- 35:16Speaker 3: guy who actually lives on the water here. So let's
- 35:18Speaker 3: keep that in mind, all right. So with this winter,
- 35:21Speaker 3: all right, so we're looking what I understand, you know,
- 35:23Speaker 3: late Sunday night could have a little snow doesn't look
- 35:26Speaker 3: like it's going to be very impactful. We'll see about that,
- 35:29Speaker 3: but everybody is looking ahead to what you and Spencer
- 35:33Speaker 3: have been talking about, you know, next week with the
- 35:36Speaker 3: there some bottles said there could be heavy snow, others said, well,
- 35:39Speaker 3: it's going to be more cold. There's a lot of
- 35:41Speaker 3: time between now and then, and I would be very
- 35:44Speaker 3: careful if you're one of these folks that as soon
- 35:47Speaker 3: as you see something that's the most you know, we're
- 35:49Speaker 3: going to get eight feet of snow, let's share that
- 35:51Speaker 3: as opposed to or we could get half an inch
- 35:54Speaker 3: as of right now, and we'll put that caveat as
- 35:57Speaker 3: of right now, the cold looks like it's going to
- 36:00Speaker 3: be a much bigger deal, right, Brian.
- 36:03Speaker 18: Right.
- 36:03Speaker 4: That's that's been the story for from my perspective, is
- 36:06Speaker 4: that the cold is our big story, uh for uh,
- 36:10Speaker 4: you know, for next week. It's has nothing to do
- 36:13Speaker 4: with the snow, which there will be snow, but it
- 36:15Speaker 4: is the cold that that is most concerning, uh to
- 36:18Speaker 4: me next week because we're going to see conservatively highs
- 36:21Speaker 4: it don't get above freezing loads.
- 36:23Speaker 6: That will be in the teens.
- 36:24Speaker 4: I do see some single digit loaws across the region
- 36:27Speaker 4: for a couple of days next week, and then some
- 36:30Speaker 4: forecast model data was indicating that high temperatures I mean,
- 36:34Speaker 4: I mean, even looking at it right now, high temperatures
- 36:36Speaker 4: in Charleston, for instance, maybe even on you know, Wednesday,
- 36:40Speaker 4: Thursday don't get out of the twenties. So so that
- 36:45Speaker 4: is our bigger concern. Now, if we were to take
- 36:47Speaker 4: raw forecast model data and look at at what maybe uh,
- 36:52Speaker 4: you know, Wednesday and the Thursday might bring. You know,
- 36:54Speaker 4: we're looking at you know, maybe Wednesday we get you know,
- 36:58Speaker 4: one to three inches the snow, one inch down here
- 37:01Speaker 4: in the lower elevations, three inches up high. And then
- 37:03Speaker 4: but then as we look at into Thursday, well then
- 37:06Speaker 4: that could go higher. We could get a couple of
- 37:07Speaker 4: inches on Thursday and the lower elevations and maybe a
- 37:10Speaker 4: number of inches up in the mountains. But as you know,
- 37:14Speaker 4: and I know that is a.
- 37:16Speaker 6: Long ways away. It is generalities.
- 37:19Speaker 4: I mean, we know it's gonna probably snow.
- 37:20Speaker 6: Wednesday and the Thursday.
- 37:21Speaker 4: But right now, you know, yes, in the mountains they're
- 37:26Speaker 4: gonna get snow. Hey, there's no doubt about it. At
- 37:28Speaker 4: Summershille could get six inches plus, but down the lower elevations,
- 37:32Speaker 4: like here in Kanall County where we are based, we
- 37:35Speaker 4: look at that and we go, Okay, two three four
- 37:37Speaker 4: inches of snow over a couple of days, we can
- 37:39Speaker 4: handle that. But still, you know, snow grabs the headlines.
- 37:43Speaker 3: Everybody panic, Yeah, exactly, all right, before we let you go,
- 37:46Speaker 3: give me a look ahead to the month of March.
- 37:48Speaker 3: I mean, I know it's look ahead and things can
- 37:50Speaker 3: change whatever, but overall, what are your because you nailed it.
- 37:53Speaker 3: You guys nailed it when you said that this is
- 37:55Speaker 3: going to be a very very cold winter. We haven't
- 37:58Speaker 3: had We've had a couple of pretty substantial snow events,
- 38:01Speaker 3: but you guys nailed it over all on this. Give
- 38:04Speaker 3: me an early look ahead, because man, I'm like everybody else,
- 38:06Speaker 3: I'm getting ready to read a commercial here for the
- 38:08Speaker 3: Charleston Dirty Birds. I want to get to the ballpark.
- 38:11Speaker 3: So so give me give me a quick early call
- 38:13Speaker 3: for as we had in the first couple of weeks
- 38:15Speaker 3: of March.
- 38:16Speaker 4: I think we're gonna still look at a late spring.
- 38:19Speaker 4: March is going to be colder than normal, especially the
- 38:22Speaker 4: first couple of weeks of March are going to be
- 38:24Speaker 4: are going to be.
- 38:25Speaker 6: Colder than normal.
- 38:26Speaker 4: I mean, I'm just looking at forecast models just a
- 38:28Speaker 4: couple of minutes ago with Chris Nolan here and we
- 38:32Speaker 4: kind of laughed. There's a brief warm up just a
- 38:34Speaker 4: couple of days for March, and then it gets back
- 38:36Speaker 4: to cold. So we are looking at March colder than normal.
- 38:40Speaker 4: But we do have some indications that once we step
- 38:45Speaker 4: out of the big cold doldrums of you know, the
- 38:48Speaker 4: polar vortex that has been dislodged, and we'll be dislodged
- 38:51Speaker 4: for a good while. We do see that there's a
- 38:54Speaker 4: rapid warm up as we get deep in the middle
- 38:57Speaker 4: and towards the end of spring, so that would be
- 39:00Speaker 4: good news. But you know, the good news here about
- 39:02Speaker 4: what we've dealt with so far this winter is maybe
- 39:05Speaker 4: the yellow jackets are gone and we're it's sure we
- 39:07Speaker 4: out of.
- 39:07Speaker 3: A draft, all right. But as we close, the big
- 39:11Speaker 3: serious thing is people do need to look at what's
- 39:14Speaker 3: gonna happen with the flooding. We did get a little
- 39:16Speaker 3: bit of good news in the last twelve hours. Looks
- 39:18Speaker 3: like it's not gonna be as bad as what was
- 39:19Speaker 3: originally thought, but keep an eye on those streams. Outside
- 39:22Speaker 3: your house in one way or the other. There's gonna
- 39:25Speaker 3: be a lot of rainfall tomorrow.
- 39:27Speaker 4: Yeah, And I would really look at anywhere from about
- 39:30Speaker 4: nine am to about four to five o'clock in the afternoon,
- 39:34Speaker 4: especially as we get after lunched about four or five
- 39:36Speaker 4: six o'clock. That's the way to really keep our eyes
- 39:38Speaker 4: to what's happening with rivers, creeks and streams around here.
- 39:40Speaker 3: All right, Brian Hughes appreciated. Man, we'll talk soon. Thanks
- 39:43Speaker 3: a lot. Sounds good, all right, Brian Hughes Stormtracker thirteen
- 39:46Speaker 3: thirteen minutes away from ten. Yeah, that's the way it is.
- 39:49Speaker 3: I mean, these models start coming out, and I saw
- 39:51Speaker 3: the me and shared yesterday about this major snow event
- 39:54Speaker 3: that's going to be happening, may or may not happen.
- 39:57Speaker 3: I mean, Brian doesn't seem to think it's gonna happen.
- 39:59Speaker 3: That's later next week. But a much bigger deal is
- 40:02Speaker 3: the rain that we are going to have, Bud. As
- 40:04Speaker 3: Brian said, we did get a little bit of good news.
- 40:06Speaker 3: It doesn't look like it's going to be bad as
- 40:07Speaker 3: originally thought. Weather cannot be predicted that far in advance,
- 40:12Speaker 3: and these guys they do this sort of thing for
- 40:15Speaker 3: a living. I don't. They'll tell you, you know, this is
- 40:18Speaker 3: the way it looks, but we don't necessarily know. But
- 40:21Speaker 3: we do know there's gonna be a whole lot of
- 40:22Speaker 3: rain rolling through the canal valley over there. Starting we
- 40:26Speaker 3: got a break today, but starting like early tomorrow and
- 40:29Speaker 3: up until about four five o'clock tomorrow, tonon, we're gonna
- 40:31Speaker 3: rain buckets here. So just just keep that in mind,

- 44:18Speaker 3: I really don't want to get into too much heavy stuff,
- 44:21Speaker 3: but I've been closely following this story and it has
- 44:25Speaker 3: to do with my chosen profession, the media. And you
- 44:29Speaker 3: guys know how much I love tongue in cheek when
- 44:33Speaker 3: people say the media. You know, the Trump White House,
- 44:37Speaker 3: even going back to Trump one in twenty sixteen, really
- 44:41Speaker 3: has a problem with again air quotes the media, especially
- 44:45Speaker 3: those well let me let me rephrase that, those media
- 44:48Speaker 3: outlets who don't agree with him. He seems to have
- 44:51Speaker 3: no problem with Fox or Oaan or Newsmax, et cetera,
- 44:54Speaker 3: et cetera. Fox News who admitted in court that they
- 44:57Speaker 3: aren't a real news outlet and they're an entertainment. But
- 45:00Speaker 3: I digress this story that the Associated Press that a
- 45:05Speaker 3: deep dive on a couple of days ago. On Wednesday,
- 45:09Speaker 3: the White House said that news outlets that refuse to
- 45:15Speaker 3: use President Trump's new name for the Gulf of Mexico
- 45:18Speaker 3: were telling quote lies and insisted that it would continue
- 45:23Speaker 3: to bar journalists from the Associated Press from presidential events.
- 45:27Speaker 3: Now and you know the story by now, Trump has
- 45:30Speaker 3: decreed that the international body of water the artists, according
- 45:37Speaker 3: to Trump, formerly known as Golf of Mexico, now be
- 45:39Speaker 3: called the Gulf of America. The AP Associated Press said
- 45:45Speaker 3: that per their style book, which for many years was
- 45:48Speaker 3: the bible that people doing any form of print reporting used,
- 45:52Speaker 3: I mean I was given mine. Actually I bought mine
- 45:55Speaker 3: because I had to buy my books in my college days.
- 45:58Speaker 3: But I got mine like day one studying journalism. But
- 46:03Speaker 3: per the style book, it will remain the Gulf of
- 46:06Speaker 3: Mexico until it's legally changed. So as long as the
- 46:09Speaker 3: AP takes that stance, the Trump White House says, you
- 46:13Speaker 3: can't come in here. And Caroline Levitt said, and this
- 46:16Speaker 3: is a quote, it is a fact that the body
- 46:19Speaker 3: of water off the coast of Louisiana is called the
- 46:21Speaker 3: Gulf of America. And I'm not sure her words why
- 46:25Speaker 3: news outlets don't call it that end quote. Now, in reality,
- 46:29Speaker 3: the body lies partially in waters that don't belong to
- 46:32Speaker 3: the US totally has been called the Gulf of Mexico
- 46:35Speaker 3: for hundreds of years. On Tuesday, AP reporters were blocked
- 46:40Speaker 3: from attending events in the Oval Office and other White
- 46:43Speaker 3: House properties. An AP reporter was in the White House
- 46:47Speaker 3: briefing room on Wednesday, but we're turned away later for
- 46:51Speaker 3: a separate for a separate event. Now for the part
- 46:56Speaker 3: the White House says. For their part, they say access
- 47:01Speaker 3: to the Oval Office is a privilege and they can
- 47:03Speaker 3: pretty much do what they want. And you know, folks,
- 47:09Speaker 3: this is the Associated Press we're talking about here. This
- 47:11Speaker 3: is not the Washington Post or the New York Times
- 47:13Speaker 3: or CNN MSNBC. By definition, the Associated Press is a
- 47:17Speaker 3: not for profit co op, basically unincorporated and pretty much
- 47:22Speaker 3: collects stories from various sources and distributes them. You know, period, radio, TV, newspapers,
- 47:31Speaker 3: online sources all pick up at content. It's not a
- 47:34Speaker 3: network in the way that ABC or CNN or Fox
- 47:37Speaker 3: News is. And I say that because I'm going to
- 47:40Speaker 3: get into this story a little bit more on Monday
- 47:43Speaker 3: with a professional in this field who works out of DC.
- 47:46Speaker 3: But frankly, I got a real problem with banning media outlets,
- 47:50Speaker 3: legacy media outlets who have been around, in the Associated
- 47:53Speaker 3: Press's case since eighteen forty six, because you don't like
- 47:58Speaker 3: what they report. Now, our former governor Jim Justice also
- 48:01Speaker 3: had a habit of doing that, Thankfully though the new governor,
- 48:03Speaker 3: Morrissey doesn't seem to believe that way. To his credit,
- 48:07Speaker 3: the AP is a non respected, non biased news organization.
- 48:11Speaker 3: This is not some off the wall conspiracy podcast or
- 48:14Speaker 3: you're talking about here. It's just kind of troublesome to me.
- 48:17Speaker 3: But again, I'll get into it more on Monday's show.
- 48:19Speaker 3: I'll have a media expert on to talk about that
- 48:23Speaker 3: sort of thing. Plus we're gonna talk a little bit
- 48:24Speaker 3: about the Marshall Quarterback Club at Charleston's big event happening
- 48:27Speaker 3: March first at Embassy Suite in Charleston. All right, I
- 48:31Speaker 3: want to now go live to the Capitol. Let's talk
- 48:33Speaker 3: to a couple of card carrying members of the media.
- 48:39Speaker 3: Dave Wilson, TJ. Meadows. You guys are live for Talk
- 48:42Speaker 3: Line Today. How's it going, guys?
- 48:45Speaker 18: Well, I gotta tell you I can't appear on this
- 48:47Speaker 18: show unless you agree to call it the Gulf of
- 48:49Speaker 18: America on the Dave Allen Show.
- 48:50Speaker 3: I mean, I gotta stand first, listen to Dave.
- 48:53Speaker 21: If you want to have the greatest show ever, if
- 48:55Speaker 21: you're the most beautiful, greatest show ever, you have to
- 48:57Speaker 21: get in line.
- 48:59Speaker 3: All right, So keep working on it. It's okay, We'll
- 49:02Speaker 3: keep working. Okay, just keep working on those on those
- 49:04Speaker 3: long drives back to Morgantown. Uh, but where are you, guys?
- 49:09Speaker 3: Quickly on this story and then we'll close it and
- 49:11Speaker 3: let you guys, you know, go go play Capitol politics.
- 49:15Speaker 3: But what do you guys, DJ, let's start with you.
- 49:16Speaker 13: What do you?
- 49:17Speaker 7: What do you?
- 49:17Speaker 3: What'd you think when you heard that story? I think
- 49:19Speaker 3: it's ridiculous.
- 49:20Speaker 18: I think the Associated Press can call it whatever they
- 49:22Speaker 18: want to based on their historical knowledge.
- 49:24Speaker 3: White House says, it's a fact you know that's in dispute.
- 49:28Speaker 3: Can the White House rename it?
- 49:29Speaker 18: Maybe in the territorial waters out until we get into
- 49:32Speaker 18: international waters, maybe they can off the coast of Louisiana.
- 49:35Speaker 18: But you know this, it's a fight that doesn't need
- 49:38Speaker 18: to be picked. They'll pick on the AP and and
- 49:41Speaker 18: look they'll do what they're gonna do. Other news outlets
- 49:42Speaker 18: will do what they're gonna do. Who is the White
- 49:44Speaker 18: House to tell any reporter how to do something in
- 49:46Speaker 18: that regard? That's me, Wilson.
- 49:48Speaker 21: I could not care less. This is the stupidest thing
- 49:50Speaker 21: that I've heard. I mean, on honestly, you want to
- 49:54Speaker 21: pick a fight, I don't know who's picking the fight.
- 49:57Speaker 21: The White House is picking the fight, or the AP's
- 49:58Speaker 21: picking the fight.
- 49:59Speaker 3: No, it's a house, it's the White House. Well, it's
- 50:02Speaker 3: just you know, you can call I just.
- 50:04Speaker 6: I think it's stupid.
- 50:05Speaker 3: I think it's so incorrected. Right, I'm gonna get into
- 50:07Speaker 3: it more on money. What are you guys getting into
- 50:09Speaker 3: at the Capitol, do they?
- 50:10Speaker 13: Well?
- 50:11Speaker 21: House Speaker Roger Hanshaw is going to stop by at
- 50:13Speaker 21: ten oh six. We will talk to him and probably
- 50:16Speaker 21: going to spend a lot of time.
- 50:17Speaker 6: Still on the budget.
- 50:18Speaker 21: There were presentations the House Finance Committee and Senate Finance
- 50:21Speaker 21: Committee yesterday, and there's already some disagreement about structural deficits
- 50:28Speaker 21: and what nots. We'll get into that with Roger Hanshaw
- 50:31Speaker 21: also get into the vaccine bill that cleared the House
- 50:34Speaker 21: Health Committee yesterday, which would provide exemptions for religious and
- 50:38Speaker 21: philosophical differences as far as mandate of vaccines for schools.
- 50:42Speaker 18: Go J.
- 50:43Speaker 21: Taylor, the Senator from Taylor County, and the Senate quip
- 50:48Speaker 21: will join us here on set. Plus, it is Friday,
- 50:50Speaker 21: and you guys know, even if we're at the Capitol,
- 50:53Speaker 21: it is Steam release at eleven thirty three.
- 50:56Speaker 18: We may have some people here at the Capitol that
- 50:58Speaker 18: want to stop buy and release Steam. We've got a
- 50:59Speaker 18: couple of extra mics. I can see that possibly happening
- 51:01Speaker 18: the way things have gone.
- 51:02Speaker 21: The gotta mention too, it is a career and technical
- 51:05Speaker 21: education day. There are a ton of high school students,
- 51:07Speaker 21: very talented high school students, showing off what they're working on,
- 51:12Speaker 21: everything from coffee shops to nursing programs. I actually just
- 51:16Speaker 21: artificially inseminated a heifer, well a real one. It's a
- 51:21Speaker 21: it's a it's a it's a simulation. But I did
- 51:23Speaker 21: that a little bit together.
- 51:25Speaker 3: My god, I'm glad Rob Reel wasn't here to hear
- 51:27Speaker 3: that story, as he was on her other show.
- 51:28Speaker 21: I shoulder deep man.
- 51:30Speaker 3: Did we get be rell of that? That's all right.
- 51:34Speaker 3: Hey guys, Happy Valentine's Day and to you and your heifer,
- 51:36Speaker 3: Happy Valentine's Day, there, Wilson. All right, guys, I gotta,
- 51:41Speaker 3: I gotta, I gotta leave it there. I gotta leave
- 51:44Speaker 3: it there. I may or may not be back on Monday.
- 51:46Speaker 3: All right, so guys, thanks a lot. We'll talk to you.
- 51:49Speaker 3: Talk to you, Tennis. I got nothing there other than
- 51:55Speaker 3: to get serious and say, older adult shoul protect themselves
- 51:57Speaker 3: against severe respiratory disease. Talk to your doctor about flu
- 52:00Speaker 3: covid nineteen at RSV vaccines risk less, do more get
- 52:03Speaker 3: started at vaccines dot gov. Paid for by the US
- 52:05Speaker 3: Department of Health and Human Services. To Dave alland show
- 52:08Speaker 3: for now brought to you park by Bridge Valley. All Right,
- 52:12Speaker 3: we gotta go quick, Texas as Republicans love that First
- 52:15Speaker 3: Amendment is under attack for anyone who doesn't lie for
- 52:17Speaker 3: their cult. Republicans have no honor. That's according to a text.
- 52:21Speaker 3: All Right, I gotta go. We'll talk Monday more about
- 52:24Speaker 3: this story with the Associated Press. Plus we are going
- 52:27Speaker 3: to spend more time talking about the Marshall Quarterback Club
- 52:29Speaker 3: of Charleston and their big beach event. We're all looking
- 52:32Speaker 3: forward to that. Coming up on March first, TJ and
