- 1:10Speaker 2: chipping in getting goals for the likes of Ryan Nugent Hopkins,
- 1:14Speaker 2: Connor McDavid and Leon Dreys. Title we will hear from
- 1:18Speaker 2: head coach Lane Lambert and his comments to the media
- 1:20Speaker 2: after practice on Wednesday at Kraken Community Ice plus plus
- 1:24Speaker 2: Darren Brown joining us of NHL dot com and also
- 1:28Speaker 2: soundof Hockey dot Com. Additionally getting into our biggest takeaway
- 1:32Speaker 2: from practice, Mason Marchman's absence, emotional carryover from this last
- 1:37Speaker 2: weekend and surprises so far neck and neck proverbial le
- 1:41Speaker 2: with the crack and right now in the race within
- 1:44Speaker 2: the Western Conference. Darren Brown joining us here in just
- 1:48Speaker 2: a bits well for the previous few days, the crack
- 1:50Speaker 2: and missing Mason Marchman. Originally on Monday, head coach Lane
- 1:53Speaker 2: Lambert saying that it was due to a maintenance day,
- 1:56Speaker 2: but still no Marchman on ice leading through Wednesday. Brandon Montor,
- 2:00Speaker 2: who missed practice Monday and Tuesday, was back on ice
- 2:04Speaker 2: as well, along with the Kraken trying to tidy up
- 2:07Speaker 2: their game with a winless schedule, trying to end right
- 2:10Speaker 2: now at three consecutive games. After practice Wednesday at coach
- 2:14Speaker 2: Lane Lambert met with the media to discuss more.
- 2:16Speaker 3: You see Monty out there practicing. Any update on.
- 2:19Speaker 4: Mason and yeah, he's not gonna travel. You won't play tomorrow,
- 2:23Speaker 4: and we'll see. We're hopeful he'll play Saturday.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Is it any designation you can share up or lower
- 2:29Speaker 3: or something else.
- 2:30Speaker 4: No, we'll just keep it at that.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Obviously, you talk a lot about special teams work and such.
- 2:35Speaker 1: To and we saw some more of that today.
- 2:37Speaker 5: Yeah, is there a way that almost like iron can
- 2:39Speaker 5: sharp and iron in the sense that your power play
- 2:41Speaker 5: and your penalty killing units are competing against each other,
- 2:44Speaker 5: but in a way these practice environments kind of know
- 2:46Speaker 5: what each other's trying to do.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Is that almost help in the practice?
- 2:50Speaker 4: Well, the competition between the two like is critical. You know,
- 2:56Speaker 4: if you have if you have a good power play,
- 2:58Speaker 4: it improves your penalty kill. If you're penalty kill is good,
- 3:00Speaker 4: then it improves your power play vice versas. So you know,
- 3:04Speaker 4: we did we did a lot of film in the
- 3:06Speaker 4: last couple of days. We did some work on the
- 3:08Speaker 4: ice in the last couple of days. On both things.
- 3:10Speaker 4: Because you know, we talk about our power play. Our
- 3:13Speaker 4: power play is one us Some hockey games this year,
- 3:15Speaker 4: and you know you're going to go through little stretches
- 3:18Speaker 4: in the season eighty two games where you know, maybe
- 3:21Speaker 4: the power play is you know, gets a little gets
- 3:24Speaker 4: a little dry. It's not like we didn't have shots,
- 3:27Speaker 4: you know, our penalty kill, you know, to give up
- 3:29Speaker 4: twenty goals here so far in twenty four games, to me,
- 3:32Speaker 4: that's a problem. And you know, we talk about our
- 3:35Speaker 4: power player, our power play, you know, our penalty kill
- 3:37Speaker 4: is right now has to be better.
- 3:40Speaker 3: To that point, do you think it's a function of
- 3:42Speaker 3: is it just not properly executing their all the penalty killer?
- 3:45Speaker 3: Is there something else you're seeing that could.
- 3:47Speaker 6: Be behind that?
- 3:48Speaker 4: Yeah, there's there's some lack of execution and responsibilities, you know,
- 3:54Speaker 4: and it's it's tough to be a penalty killer in
- 3:56Speaker 4: the National Hockey League, and you know we're we're kind
- 3:59Speaker 4: of developing on the fly as we go here with
- 4:02Speaker 4: certain guys and they're going to have to be better.
- 4:04Speaker 4: It's just the bottom line, like you know, we can
- 4:06Speaker 4: sit here and say, okay, this is that and the
- 4:08Speaker 4: next thing, but twenty four games into it and twenty goals,
- 4:12Speaker 4: you know, whoever's killing penalties has to be better. Doesn't
- 4:14Speaker 4: matter if you've killed in the National Hockey League before
- 4:16Speaker 4: or not. You've got to be better because we know
- 4:17Speaker 4: exactly what we're supposed to do now, it's a matter
- 4:20Speaker 4: of executing on the.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Mental side of that. How do you keep that from
- 4:23Speaker 1: creeping in? You know that every time there's a power play, Lord,
- 4:27Speaker 1: here we go again, how do you keep the focus
- 4:30Speaker 1: there and.
- 4:30Speaker 4: Not have that spiral? Or is there you said to
- 4:33Speaker 4: any of them on adage, Well, I mean I think
- 4:37Speaker 4: you can potentially sense it at some you know, at
- 4:40Speaker 4: some point, right uh, you know, and again like it's
- 4:43Speaker 4: not like we haven't been playing against top power plays,
- 4:46Speaker 4: but you know, I mean, take a look at our
- 4:48Speaker 4: take a look at our buffet of power plays we
- 4:51Speaker 4: have coming up here, and you know it's you know,
- 4:54Speaker 4: if it isn't you know, McDavid and drysitle tomorrow, it's
- 4:57Speaker 4: Caprice off. And if it isn't Caprice off, it's Nathan
- 5:00Speaker 4: McKinnon and mccarr And you know, like we have to
- 5:03Speaker 4: be better. So the question that you asked is does
- 5:05Speaker 4: it spiral or you know, is there some we have
- 5:08Speaker 4: to get on some kind of a run here to
- 5:11Speaker 4: get our confidence back and at the end of the day,
- 5:15Speaker 4: you know, you have to go out there with confidence,
- 5:17Speaker 4: you have to go out there with a little bit
- 5:19Speaker 4: of swagger no matter what's been happening, because you know,
- 5:21Speaker 4: it's it's every team goes through it at one point
- 5:25Speaker 4: or another during the season, so you know, we just
- 5:27Speaker 4: have to make sure that doesn't creep in.
- 5:29Speaker 3: We've talked to you plenty obviously about special teams from
- 5:32Speaker 3: an even strength perspective, How do you feel about what
- 5:34Speaker 3: the group has done.
- 5:35Speaker 4: To generate among that? Well, I think if you look
- 5:39Speaker 4: at our shot attempts, which is kind of like the
- 5:41Speaker 4: big thing, you know, that we've talked about, they've they've
- 5:44Speaker 4: risen over the last two weeks, you know, and you know,
- 5:49Speaker 4: we want to be better than average, but we're probably
- 5:52Speaker 4: about four shot attempts below league average, you know, And
- 5:57Speaker 4: so it's there's there certainly is a way to get there,
- 6:02Speaker 4: you know, And I think that from that standpoint, our
- 6:04Speaker 4: offense will you know, it will help our offense from there, clearly.
- 6:08Speaker 4: I think that you know, when you're having trouble scoring,
- 6:11Speaker 4: it takes away a little bit of the swagger. It
- 6:13Speaker 4: takes away a little bit of the swagger from the
- 6:15Speaker 4: power play and the guy's on the power play, and
- 6:18Speaker 4: then when that doesn't score, then it bleeds into the
- 6:20Speaker 4: five on five. So you know what, it's just a
- 6:22Speaker 4: matter of taking a deep breath, getting a starting with
- 6:27Speaker 4: a clean slate, so to speak, and you know, having
- 6:30Speaker 4: confidence we're good hockey team.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Of sort of having to snowball build confident.
- 6:35Speaker 5: Now there's a breath that can happen. Like people look
- 6:37Speaker 5: at this last couple of days, it's possibly a breath
- 6:39Speaker 5: that can happen, so that you can have that refocus
- 6:42Speaker 5: and sort of reset the mindset almost.
- 6:45Speaker 4: Well, I think I think you have to look at
- 6:47Speaker 4: it that way, and I think you can look at
- 6:48Speaker 4: it that way. And that's why we, you know, split
- 6:50Speaker 4: up practices the way we did, you know, and you
- 6:54Speaker 4: also have to enjoy the game and you have to
- 6:56Speaker 4: have fun, right and so when you know, when you're
- 6:58Speaker 4: squeezing your stick or you know you're sort of feeling
- 7:02Speaker 4: the outside noise of not scoring, you know, it's tough
- 7:06Speaker 4: to do that. But we have to remember that, you know,
- 7:09Speaker 4: we're we're here to compete. We gotta love competing, and
- 7:13Speaker 4: we have to have.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Fun ahead of the rematch this evening, our friend Darren
- 7:17Speaker 2: Brown of NHL dot com also see see Oh we
- 7:21Speaker 2: should say for the sound of hockey, been that since
- 7:24Speaker 2: the dawn of time, joining us once again on cracking
- 7:26Speaker 2: this morning. It's been a while, but Darren has been here, there,
- 7:30Speaker 2: and everywhere, my friend. On a belated note, Happy Thanksgiving.
- 7:34Speaker 2: How was on your end?
- 7:37Speaker 6: That's fantastic.
- 7:38Speaker 7: Yeah, lots of eating and drinking and playing games and
- 7:42Speaker 7: carrying on.
- 7:43Speaker 6: So no complaints. I do love that. You gotta love
- 7:46Speaker 6: that holiday, right.
- 7:47Speaker 7: Just oh my goodness built around just kind of being
- 7:52Speaker 7: if you're not the one doing all the cooking and preparing,
- 7:53Speaker 7: which I was not, then it's just kind of like
- 7:56Speaker 7: around being lazy.
- 7:57Speaker 6: And that was what I did, and it was wonderful.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Every end there must being right, or for every end
- 8:02Speaker 2: there must be young. I mean, you're going hard at it,
- 8:05Speaker 2: you know, twelve hours a day, but you got to
- 8:06Speaker 2: find a way to relax and kick back a little bit.
- 8:09Speaker 6: That's right. Yeah.
- 8:11Speaker 2: I was going out of pretty good in the kitchen
- 8:13Speaker 2: as well, but it was relaxing, very worthwhile I think
- 8:17Speaker 2: for my family in But you know, you, being a
- 8:19Speaker 2: Minnesota guy a chorus, so this is always an important
- 8:21Speaker 2: holiday for you and me so glad to hear that.
- 8:23Speaker 2: To you, enjoyed that. But diving into this evening, Darren,
- 8:28Speaker 2: I mean it comes off of a pretty lengthy break.
- 8:30Speaker 2: I just stay here for the crack and compared to
- 8:32Speaker 2: what we're gonna see usually on this schedule for the
- 8:34Speaker 2: rest of the entire season, and the only other breaks
- 8:37Speaker 2: they'll have in between games this big that would be
- 8:42Speaker 2: comparable for the entire season would be the holiday break
- 8:46Speaker 2: and then the Olympic break, which it feels like we're
- 8:49Speaker 2: going to be off here for an eternity. And I
- 8:51Speaker 2: think the theme of the week for me at practice
- 8:54Speaker 2: for the few days they had was dig in from
- 8:56Speaker 2: the small area games to the roadmap to get to
- 8:59Speaker 2: the net, even things that you would kind of pick
- 9:02Speaker 2: out that would lead to a little more power play
- 9:04Speaker 2: success even for the penalty kill as well, that would
- 9:06Speaker 2: help kind of recalibrate the score. That to me was
- 9:10Speaker 2: at the forefront here for the few days they had
- 9:12Speaker 2: on the ice. What'd you take away here from what
- 9:14Speaker 2: you saw?
- 9:15Speaker 7: Yeah, I think especially on Wednesday, the biggest thing you
- 9:18Speaker 7: hit on the head there with the power play, but
- 9:20Speaker 7: also the penalty kill, and Lane Lambert was talking about
- 9:22Speaker 7: that at nauseums how much they not only need to
- 9:26Speaker 7: start finding some goals and success and the power play,
- 9:28Speaker 7: but the penalty kill has been downright.
- 9:31Speaker 6: Pretty bad for this team.
- 9:33Speaker 7: They do allow goals almost every game and the penalty kill,
- 9:37Speaker 7: and when you think about the last game against Edmonton
- 9:40Speaker 7: when they go zero for six on the power play,
- 9:42Speaker 7: so obviously that's kind of the story.
- 9:43Speaker 6: Of the game.
- 9:44Speaker 7: But at the other end of the of the ice
- 9:45Speaker 7: they go the Edmonton Oilers go two for two, right,
- 9:48Speaker 7: So I mean you have to figure out ways to
- 9:52Speaker 7: shut down these opposing power plays, but also figuring out
- 9:56Speaker 7: how it gets some success to yourselves because it is
- 9:58Speaker 7: costing you games. And right now we're in obviously a
- 10:00Speaker 7: little bit of a lull for this team where they
- 10:03Speaker 7: have effectively lost three straight and gotten shut out twice.
- 10:06Speaker 7: So there's a lot of emphasis right now on finding
- 10:09Speaker 7: ways to get the puck into the net while also
- 10:12Speaker 7: not sacrificing the strong defensive structure that they've created. At
- 10:15Speaker 7: least at five on five.
- 10:17Speaker 2: The revolving door continues to spin. No Mason march Min
- 10:20Speaker 2: he won't be on the trip. It seems like Yanni Newman, though,
- 10:24Speaker 2: is good to go to get back into the lineup
- 10:26Speaker 2: and earn a ton of compliments here from Lane Lambert,
- 10:29Speaker 2: especially about a couple of days ago about his potential
- 10:31Speaker 2: to be still a top six winger in the NHL.
- 10:34Speaker 2: So for the latest lineup change, Darren heading into this evening,
- 10:37Speaker 2: what's your reaction.
- 10:39Speaker 7: Well, one thing is Jared mccannon moving back with Matty
- 10:42Speaker 7: Veneer's and Jordan. I believe it's funny to me, I
- 10:44Speaker 7: think back to over the couple times now where they've
- 10:47Speaker 7: changed coaches, right, they've Hackedell and Dan Bousman, and then
- 10:50Speaker 7: Dan Bousman into Lane Lambert, and when Biosman took over,
- 10:54Speaker 7: it seemed like there were a few things that he
- 10:55Speaker 7: was resistant to going back to that had worked under Hackstell,
- 11:00Speaker 7: and then I think there was something similar here when
- 11:02Speaker 7: Lambert took over, where it was kind of like, I
- 11:04Speaker 7: don't know if we want to go back to having
- 11:07Speaker 7: Jared McCann on the top line and Jared McCann on
- 11:10Speaker 7: the left side on the power play, you know, we
- 11:12Speaker 7: want to get him in a shooting position on the
- 11:14Speaker 7: right side, and then sure enough he's back on that
- 11:16Speaker 7: top line and with the two guys he's played with
- 11:19Speaker 7: so much and over now on the left side of
- 11:22Speaker 7: the power play. So it's kind of like they eventually
- 11:24Speaker 7: revert back. They're like, well, we want to try some
- 11:26Speaker 7: different things, and then ultimately they find out, oh, you
- 11:28Speaker 7: know what, this is actually what works best. So it
- 11:31Speaker 7: takes a little while to get there sometimes as they
- 11:34Speaker 7: just try some different things.
- 11:35Speaker 6: But yeah, as far as the.
- 11:36Speaker 7: Lineup is concerned, I think Newman flots in pretty easily.
- 11:41Speaker 7: Catton is still playing a big role. You know, he's
- 11:43Speaker 7: getting next to Chandler Stevenson now his roommate. So they're
- 11:47Speaker 7: just trying to find a combination that's going to work.
- 11:50Speaker 7: You know, they've they've had such a hard time finding
- 11:52Speaker 7: the back of the net. So hopefully one of these
- 11:54Speaker 7: lines can spark something and then that'll be a little
- 11:57Speaker 7: bit of contagious thing. They can start scorings and goals
- 12:01Speaker 7: throughout their lineup.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Darren the Mason March Mint Darnell Nurse kerfuffle was kind
- 12:05Speaker 2: of a subplot from last Saturdays, so no March into
- 12:08Speaker 2: the lineup now for the rematch in Edmonton. So would
- 12:12Speaker 2: you be surprised to see any kind of emotional carry
- 12:14Speaker 2: over into this game?
- 12:16Speaker 7: You know, I'm sure there will be some bad blood.
- 12:18Speaker 7: There were some probably not so nice things said to
- 12:22Speaker 7: one another between the two teams. March Mint being out
- 12:25Speaker 7: of the lineup probably takes a little bit of that out.
- 12:28Speaker 7: But also Edmonton has played another game in between. And
- 12:32Speaker 7: I mean the fact that I guess Marchant not playing, Yeah,
- 12:36Speaker 7: I mean that's a big deal, right. I think if
- 12:38Speaker 7: he was there, they'd still probably be trying to get
- 12:41Speaker 7: their vengeance for him hitting Darnell Nurse and being public
- 12:45Speaker 7: enemy number one in that game. But he's not playing,
- 12:47Speaker 7: so I think it takes a lot of that kind
- 12:50Speaker 7: of anger out of it. We'll see, you never know.
- 12:54Speaker 7: I would guess it's going to play out more as
- 12:56Speaker 7: a regular game as opposed to one with added vitriol
- 13:00Speaker 7: between the two teams, But we shall see.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Darren Brown joining us here from NHL dot Com, also
- 13:04Speaker 2: for Sound of Hockey, Dren, I want to get back
- 13:06Speaker 2: to Berkeley Catton, you dropped his name here about a
- 13:08Speaker 2: couple of minutes ago, and left wings centered. They've been
- 13:11Speaker 2: moving him back and forth between the wing in the
- 13:14Speaker 2: middle as well. And you know, just like me and
- 13:16Speaker 2: a lot of folks, that playing center in the NHL
- 13:20Speaker 2: is a very very demanding responsibility, but they're going to
- 13:24Speaker 2: give this a go. It looks like you're, at least
- 13:26Speaker 2: from the practice lineup side of things, him going back
- 13:28Speaker 2: to the wing on. But really, on top of that,
- 13:31Speaker 2: going back to last Saturday, I really couldn't picture maybe
- 13:35Speaker 2: a more effective game that Catton could have played on
- 13:38Speaker 2: the offensive set of things and not come up here
- 13:41Speaker 2: with the goal. So I'll kind of play with you
- 13:43Speaker 2: a little bit on this one. Whether it might be
- 13:46Speaker 2: a goal that's off the rush, whether it might be
- 13:48Speaker 2: say a breakaway getting right behind the pack on the
- 13:52Speaker 2: power play, or just maybe going to the front of
- 13:54Speaker 2: the net and getting one off of his Dairyer to you,
- 13:58Speaker 2: the likeliest goal that Berkeley Caton scores for his first
- 14:01Speaker 2: career NHL goal is going to be what.
- 14:04Speaker 6: I'm going to say, it's gonna beat Man.
- 14:06Speaker 7: He had a beauty at practice, took a path I
- 14:09Speaker 7: think as a cross cross slot pass, and just sniped
- 14:12Speaker 7: it over Joey Decord's shoulder. It was a really, really
- 14:15Speaker 7: nice goal, So I'm gonna go with that. I think
- 14:17Speaker 7: he's gonna take a take a cross cross ice speed
- 14:21Speaker 7: and he's going to snap it into the top corner
- 14:23Speaker 7: and I feel like it's got to be coming soon, right,
- 14:25Speaker 7: He's had so many good looks. The problem is he's
- 14:28Speaker 7: gotten himself into some great scoring positions, and for whatever reason,
- 14:31Speaker 7: when that's happened, it seems like more often than not,
- 14:33Speaker 7: he's put it right into the goalie's chest, which is
- 14:35Speaker 7: not You know, he's such a superstar goal score at
- 14:39Speaker 7: least at the junior level, so you know at some
- 14:40Speaker 7: point he's going to start finding the back of the
- 14:43Speaker 7: net and picking some of those corners a little bit better.
- 14:45Speaker 6: But it's got to be coming soon. It just has
- 14:47Speaker 6: to be.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Edmonton's still hovering finally around above five hundred as we're
- 14:51Speaker 2: into December, and I mean a lot of us have
- 14:53Speaker 2: been thinking of when the Western Conference sorts itself out,
- 14:56Speaker 2: that they're going to be in the mix. But time
- 14:58Speaker 2: still marches on and there's old treading waters. So despite
- 15:02Speaker 2: what they're going through with trying to get their matters
- 15:05Speaker 2: sorted out, whether it's up run five on five, whether
- 15:08Speaker 2: it's defensively, whether it's in net as well for the rematches,
- 15:11Speaker 2: saving to you, Darren, what's the greater key here on
- 15:14Speaker 2: the crack inside the first twenty minutes in winning that
- 15:17Speaker 2: or just flat out staying out of the box.
- 15:19Speaker 7: Gosh, after well, I don't know if you can safe
- 15:22Speaker 7: staying out of the box. I mean, it's impossible to
- 15:25Speaker 7: not take any penalties, right Like, I guess it's possible.
- 15:28Speaker 7: It's very rare that you don't take any penalties, especially
- 15:31Speaker 7: if you're getting penalties at the other end. Right if
- 15:33Speaker 7: if Edmonton is taking penalties, the refs call the narrative
- 15:37Speaker 7: of the game. Eventually they're gonna they're gonna give you
- 15:39Speaker 7: a couple of penalties. And we saw that in the
- 15:41Speaker 7: last game with the Mason Marchman getting checked into the
- 15:44Speaker 7: net and taking a getting called for goalie interference. Right Like,
- 15:47Speaker 7: eventually they're going to call something on you, even if
- 15:49Speaker 7: it's a bad call. So yeah, you can say stay
- 15:51Speaker 7: out of the box. But also, I mean you just
- 15:56Speaker 7: have to be better on special teams. Like penalties are inevitable,
- 16:00Speaker 7: power plays are inevitable. You aren't going to have games
- 16:03Speaker 7: where you just don't have penalties called either way. And
- 16:05Speaker 7: it's been making your breaking it. So that's not exactly
- 16:08Speaker 7: an answer to your question, because yeah, the first twenty
- 16:10Speaker 7: minutes they are important, But I think to me, the
- 16:12Speaker 7: most important thing is just how they handle special teams.
- 16:16Speaker 7: It's been such a storyline. You can tell it's starting
- 16:18Speaker 7: to get under their skin a little bit here. You know,
- 16:21Speaker 7: it's just such a such a conversation topic in the
- 16:23Speaker 7: locker room. Clearly it's the main thing that they're focusing on,
- 16:26Speaker 7: both on the ice and in video, and creating offense
- 16:31Speaker 7: in general has been such a difficult thing. So I'd say,
- 16:34Speaker 7: if they can, how about this, Mike, how about this
- 16:36Speaker 7: for an answer, I've given you three different answers to
- 16:38Speaker 7: this question. At this point, I'm going to say scoring
- 16:41Speaker 7: a goal in the first twenty minutes of the game
- 16:45Speaker 7: is going to be critical for this team.
- 16:47Speaker 1: I like it.
- 16:47Speaker 2: I don't have to decide multiple choice style here. We'll
- 16:50Speaker 2: just go ahead and go with that. One sounds good
- 16:52Speaker 2: to me. So hey, before I let you go, Edmonton
- 16:55Speaker 2: coming off one, nothing lost. They were just stymied by
- 16:59Speaker 2: the wild Things still very much clustered in the Western Conference.
- 17:03Speaker 2: The Kraken are still very much in this mix and
- 17:07Speaker 2: amidst this cluster. Whether it might be Vegas in their start,
- 17:11Speaker 2: whether it might be San Jose, whether it's Chicago, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Anaheim,
- 17:17Speaker 2: or somebody else. To you, who's the most surprising opponent
- 17:22Speaker 2: at this point of the season in the West.
- 17:25Speaker 6: That's a good question.
- 17:26Speaker 7: Well, of all the teams in the West, I think
- 17:29Speaker 7: I'd have to go with Anaheim. I don't think I
- 17:33Speaker 7: expected them to be competing for a top spot in
- 17:36Speaker 7: the Pacific Division by any means. I knew they were
- 17:39Speaker 7: going to be better, and you knew if Joel Quinnville.
- 17:42Speaker 7: Say what you want about him, but he knows how
- 17:44Speaker 7: to coach a hockey team, right, And I think bringing
- 17:46Speaker 7: him in along with the kind of rising talent that
- 17:50Speaker 7: they have there and you're seeing this is a team
- 17:53Speaker 7: that's ready to compete or at least push for a
- 17:57Speaker 7: playoff spot for a lot of the season. And so
- 18:00Speaker 7: whether it's this year that they do that they do that,
- 18:03Speaker 7: or it's next year or the year after, I mean,
- 18:05Speaker 7: that's a scene that's on the rise. They're rising a
- 18:07Speaker 7: little faster than I maybe would have accepected.
- 18:10Speaker 6: So that's the one that I'll go with.
- 18:11Speaker 2: They have a lot of young players, it seems like,
- 18:13Speaker 2: who are growing up really fast and really at this
- 18:16Speaker 2: point of the season. That next date with the Ducks
- 18:19Speaker 2: in Anaheim December twenty second, it feels right now like
- 18:22Speaker 2: it's going to be a collision. Darren, appreciate you as always,
- 18:27Speaker 2: you're awys welcome back on with us and looking forward
- 18:30Speaker 2: to having you next go around. But thanks again, buddy,
- 18:32Speaker 2: appreciate you.
- 18:33Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Mike tuking soon all right, thanks d Aarren. Certainly colliding
- 18:36Speaker 2: forces set to go out of here for this evening.
- 18:39Speaker 2: The cracking at number one in the NHL for five
- 18:42Speaker 2: on five goals allowed up against Edmonton with the third
- 18:45Speaker 2: best power play in the entire league. It'll certainly be
- 18:49Speaker 2: a good test here on the Craken side coming up
- 18:51Speaker 2: as they're trying to fend off again Edmonton team that
- 18:55Speaker 2: lost won nothing in their previous matchup to the Minnesota
- 18:58Speaker 2: wild Back on Tuesday. Once again, all the action coming
- 19:01Speaker 2: your way six pm Pacific time this evening at Rogers'
