- 0:02Speaker 1: No, I feel like an idiot. All right, Well, there's
- 0:07Speaker 1: a couple back to school stories to tell you about.
- 0:12Speaker 1: It is back to school season, you guys.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yep, sure is love it.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Well.
- 0:16Speaker 1: A thirteen year old Arizona kid is facing misdemeanor assault
- 0:20Speaker 1: charges after he and his two friends participated in a
- 0:23Speaker 1: game of dodgeball. This is during gym class, and the
- 0:26Speaker 1: charges come from a girl who got hit with the
- 0:29Speaker 1: dodgeballs in the course of the game and ended up
- 0:32Speaker 1: with a couple of bruises. The kid admitts that he
- 0:35Speaker 1: hit her, even said he quote targeted her a little bit,
- 0:38Speaker 1: but argues that's literally how dodgeball works. Do you have
- 0:41Speaker 1: to target somebody? Yeah right, you just don't close your
- 0:45Speaker 1: eyes and throw it and hope it hits somebody. The
- 0:47Speaker 1: school never disciplined them. The mom says she didn't even
- 0:51Speaker 1: know about the charge until months later, and so now
- 0:54Speaker 1: the case is going to court. Stupid, we're wasting time
- 0:57Speaker 1: with this in a court over dodgeball. The kids in all,
- 1:00Speaker 1: they're all fighting the charges. So you know, enjoyed gym
- 1:03Speaker 1: class while you can. Kids, you're gonna need a lawyer
- 1:06Speaker 1: and a permission slip and for the most part. I
- 1:09Speaker 1: thought they had outlawed dodgeball because it's bullying.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Or you know. I nuclear hated.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Oh we loved it.
- 1:19Speaker 2: It's fun to run from too, it's fun to you know,
- 1:21Speaker 2: not just be the thrower.
- 1:23Speaker 1: I just hated all of it, Like what didn't you
- 1:25Speaker 1: like about it?
- 1:26Speaker 3: I was such a puss and I hated.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Are you throwing? Can you throw? Can you throw like
- 1:31Speaker 1: a baseball? Or do you throw like a girl?
- 1:33Speaker 3: If I use my left hand, you would think I
- 1:35Speaker 3: was a girl.
- 1:35Speaker 1: I mean I think every guy, if you're I saw
- 1:38Speaker 1: a funny video where this guy's while it's a it's
- 1:40Speaker 1: a comedy video. The guy's walking hand in hand with
- 1:42Speaker 1: his girlfriend and uh, there's like a ball from these
- 1:45Speaker 1: kids who are playing, and he picks it up, but
- 1:46Speaker 1: he picked it up with his left hand, and he's like,
- 1:49Speaker 1: I don't want to let go my girlfriend's hand, but
- 1:50Speaker 1: I can't let her see me throw with his left hand.
- 1:53Speaker 1: And he throws it like a total girl. And she's
- 1:57Speaker 1: disgusted with your actual like your your dominant.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Throwing not anymore. I mean as a kid, I was
- 2:06Speaker 3: pretty good at it. I just hated the whole concept
- 2:09Speaker 3: of it.
- 2:10Speaker 1: I can understand being scared of it. If you if
- 2:12Speaker 1: you couldn't throw the dodge ball, you know, because you know.
- 2:15Speaker 3: You get throwing. I really hated getting hit ball.
- 2:18Speaker 4: Did you play that one game? I mean it was
- 2:20Speaker 4: it was called something different in what he's day, but
- 2:22Speaker 4: in my day we called the stick the dick.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Yeah, oh yeah, I forgot how that works, but yeah
- 2:29Speaker 3: we did that.
- 2:30Speaker 4: I mean the version that we played is like you
- 2:33Speaker 4: pretty much had to run a football field with no
- 2:35Speaker 4: padding at all, and you had the ball and everybody's
- 2:38Speaker 4: trying to tackle you to get the ball back and
- 2:40Speaker 4: then run into the end zone. So you try to
- 2:42Speaker 4: get from one end zone to the other end zone.
- 2:44Speaker 4: Pretty bad.
- 2:46Speaker 2: It's the red rover. Yeah, dude, that also could mess
- 2:49Speaker 2: you up.
- 2:50Speaker 4: People would peel blood after.
- 2:53Speaker 2: You know what. You know, what game is currently prohibited
- 2:56Speaker 2: at the playground at my son's school, Tag the fag
- 3:00Speaker 2: Just tagagause kids get pushed to the ground and get
- 3:05Speaker 2: scraped up.
- 3:06Speaker 1: What yeah, oh come on, he goes goes.
- 3:09Speaker 2: But we played anyway, but it's it's in the supposed
- 3:12Speaker 2: to play tag No kidding? Yeah what tag on like
- 3:16Speaker 2: you know, because they're not on like soft bouncy house foam.
- 3:20Speaker 2: They're on a blacktop that's supposed to play it.
- 3:22Speaker 1: What kind of for dodgeball? What were they using for
- 3:24Speaker 1: the dodgeballs?
- 3:25Speaker 3: Greg?
- 3:25Speaker 1: You know those red rubber playground balls because didn't hurt
- 3:28Speaker 1: the man. At some point they upgraded. I remember at
- 3:32Speaker 1: school they upgraded and they went from the full sized
- 3:34Speaker 1: ones that you would play four square with to smaller
- 3:37Speaker 1: ones that were almost like the size of those Papa
- 3:39Speaker 1: shot basketballs exactly. You could whip those dud.
- 3:43Speaker 4: You could hear them go through the air like they
- 3:45Speaker 4: would make it sound.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Yeah. The other game that I thought was boring, I
- 3:49Speaker 3: think it was called Capture the Flag.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Oh yeah, the love that game.
- 3:52Speaker 1: That was cool.
- 3:52Speaker 3: It was kind of dumb really because I thought, how
- 3:55Speaker 3: are we supposed to get this from here to over there?
- 3:57Speaker 3: There's a million people?
- 3:59Speaker 1: Was the game?
- 4:01Speaker 3: Yeah, that was the game.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Otherwise, another school news story a high school in Texas
- 4:06Speaker 1: has gotten viral. They have a female dress code for
- 4:09Speaker 1: the girls in the school band, and the school was
- 4:12Speaker 1: working on figuring out which sports bras and shapewear should
- 4:16Speaker 1: be permitted. So in order to figure this out, they
- 4:19Speaker 1: wanted the girls to do a jump test to see
- 4:24Speaker 1: if the bras fit them.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Guys will go to any length each thing.
- 4:31Speaker 1: It says, Look, I'm just reading the article and I
- 4:33Speaker 1: can tell you this is a bad idea, that this
- 4:35Speaker 1: is going to be problematic. You think to use it today?
- 4:38Speaker 3: Phrase right.
- 4:39Speaker 1: The policy specifically says if you jump multiple times in
- 4:42Speaker 1: a row and there was a noticeable movement, size down
- 4:46Speaker 1: or find a new sports bra style or fit and
- 4:50Speaker 1: the rule and the shapewear is mandatory for all girls
- 4:53Speaker 1: in band uniforms. The parents they're pissed, you know. But
- 4:57Speaker 1: the band director came out clarified that the test something
- 5:00Speaker 1: the chicks should do themselves in private. It's like they're
- 5:03Speaker 1: doing it and you know that's a good or her.
- 5:07Speaker 1: I'm not sure if it's him or her. I'm assuming
- 5:08Speaker 1: it's to him to inspect. But uh oh, he still
- 5:12Speaker 1: didn't apologize, so it is.
- 5:14Speaker 3: I knew it.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I knew he still didn't apologize.
- 5:18Speaker 2: I'm going to have to double check this.
- 5:19Speaker 1: For the policy.
- 5:21Speaker 3: General bra question, what's the difference between a bra and
- 5:24Speaker 3: a sports bra?
- 5:26Speaker 2: There are kind of two different things. A bra has
- 5:28Speaker 2: like two cups one over each.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Boot and straps and they hook and everything else, and a.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Sports bra is kind of like a tank top that
- 5:34Speaker 2: you put over your head and it just ends.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Under your boots like a tight tank top.
- 5:38Speaker 3: It's more comfortable. Oh yeah, well then why not just
- 5:41Speaker 3: wear sports bras They don't.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Always look you?
- 5:43Speaker 1: Oh it makes you look you.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Yeah, you do get a universe.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Yeah, but uh yeah, I'm trying to think of some
- 5:53Speaker 1: of the other games that we played.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Yeah, we did do Oh I still do that thing
- 6:00Speaker 3: where they have to climb the rope to the very
- 6:02Speaker 3: top of.
- 6:02Speaker 1: The dym How would you do that was more for
- 6:04Speaker 1: like the fitness tests and things like that. I'm trying
- 6:07Speaker 1: to like some of the games that we did.
- 6:08Speaker 2: They get you too chunky for that. I don't think
- 6:10Speaker 2: kids can do it.
- 6:11Speaker 4: What about well, I don't know that this was an
- 6:13Speaker 4: official game, but we did a thing called Tarzan where
- 6:16Speaker 4: we would just like go on the swing and we
- 6:17Speaker 4: try to swing as high as we can and then
- 6:19Speaker 4: we would jump off of but then hold on to
- 6:22Speaker 4: the chain and then swing back down, back and forth.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Remind me another one kind of the same thing. Monkey
- 6:28Speaker 1: bars were just from one side or the other and
- 6:30Speaker 1: someone would hang in the middle and everybody else would
- 6:32Speaker 1: try to like get that person down the other person
- 6:34Speaker 1: had to hang on and use their feet to kick
- 6:36Speaker 1: everybody away.
- 6:37Speaker 2: It's like.
- 6:39Speaker 1: To see them just to see if you can keep everybody,
- 6:41Speaker 1: like to fight.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Everybody off, Sammy, I know you'll you'll remember this, you know.
- 6:45Speaker 2: It's like I wasn't in gymnastics or anything. You're just
- 6:47Speaker 2: a kid, and like especially girls. I don't know if
- 6:49Speaker 2: boys did this, but on the monkey bars, we all
- 6:51Speaker 2: knew how to like do backflips off the monkey bars.
- 6:54Speaker 2: You know, you hang off backwards, you flip off, like
- 6:56Speaker 2: it was no idea, Like kids just inherently know how
- 6:59Speaker 2: to do cool stuff.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Yeah, it wasn't a game. But speaking of things that
- 7:04Speaker 1: wouldn't fly today, you know the like on the back
- 7:07Speaker 1: of a shirt, there's that little loop sometimes like on
- 7:09Speaker 1: a button down shirt. What do they call that? And
- 7:13Speaker 1: when you were growing up.
- 7:15Speaker 3: I know what they called it in mind, it was
- 7:16Speaker 3: the fruit loop.
- 7:17Speaker 1: The yeah see the fruit at our school was the
- 7:21Speaker 1: fat tag and so like like if your shirt had one,
- 7:27Speaker 1: other people would try to and you had to keep
- 7:29Speaker 1: people from ripping it off, Like people would tear it
- 7:32Speaker 1: off your shirt.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, and it would destroy the whole.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Back of the shirts are barbarious yeah, we're just dudes.
- 7:39Speaker 2: I've never know.
- 7:40Speaker 1: It had nothing to do with anything else. It's just
- 7:41Speaker 1: what it was called. I don't know why.
- 7:43Speaker 2: It wasn't like like there's a there's a loop on
- 7:47Speaker 2: someone's shirt, let's destroy it. It's such a boyfriend phenomena.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Were you obsessed as kids to pencil fights? Remember pencil fights? Yeah,
- 7:57Speaker 1: Like I would hold a pencil like, you know, between
- 7:59Speaker 1: my two hand, and then Greg would take it and
- 8:01Speaker 1: use the the eraser end and smack it in the
- 8:04Speaker 1: middle and then and then I would hold mine now
- 8:07Speaker 1: and then I would do that and you go back
- 8:08Speaker 1: and forth. Someone's pencil broke, and the whole idea is
- 8:11Speaker 1: you would take the eraser, the rubber part out of
- 8:14Speaker 1: the eraser or the end of the pencil, and he
- 8:16Speaker 1: kind of sharpened it a little bit, like you get
- 8:17Speaker 1: it down to like a point, and it would almost
- 8:19Speaker 1: start chipping away at the wood of the pencil until you, like,
- 8:24Speaker 1: you know, sometimes your pencil would break because you get
- 8:27Speaker 1: a little too aggressive with like holding your pencil back
- 8:30Speaker 1: to try to break the other person's pencil.
- 8:32Speaker 4: We used to say rubber bands and like paper clips,
- 8:34Speaker 4: and then like also we did this thing you better
- 8:38Speaker 4: run fast because we found drug needles out on the playground,
- 8:42Speaker 4: so they would try to stab each other.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Did you grow up in like mad Max Thunder?
- 8:50Speaker 1: No, but if we would have found those, we probably
- 8:51Speaker 1: would have done something like that.
- 8:54Speaker 5: You.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Yeah, we were dumb, were kids.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Were boys.
- 8:57Speaker 1: We were just doing shots.
- 9:01Speaker 3: You your football with the paper.
- 9:03Speaker 1: She was the one you were talking about the other day.
- 9:04Speaker 3: You wanted to do with Morgan?
- 9:05Speaker 1: What was mash?
- 9:07Speaker 6: Oh?
- 9:07Speaker 5: Yeah, mashes a plus, which is just you write down
- 9:10Speaker 5: on a piece of paper.
- 9:11Speaker 2: You write mash at the top, and.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Was mansion, apartment, shahack or house where you're going to live,
- 9:16Speaker 1: and there's all different categories, and then there are a
- 9:18Speaker 1: list of people.
- 9:19Speaker 5: Write who you're going to marry, so you know you'd
- 9:21Speaker 5: be like Justin Timberlake, Jonathan Taylor, Thomas, and so you'd
- 9:27Speaker 5: have a list of people of who you're going to marry,
- 9:29Speaker 5: and then what your job is about.
- 9:31Speaker 1: How many kind of car you would have, how many
- 9:33Speaker 1: kids you would have? Yeah, I remember the chicks doing that.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a slumber party staple.
- 9:38Speaker 1: And then somebody would go, oh, you know, Sammy just
- 9:41Speaker 1: got your name and you guys are going to live
- 9:43Speaker 1: in the mansion or whatever it would be. Yeah, oh
- 9:46Speaker 1: yeah cool.
- 9:46Speaker 4: Because when you brought that up when you were talking
- 9:50Speaker 4: about is it like the finger trapped thing.
- 9:51Speaker 1: The fortune teller, open clo open clothes.
- 9:56Speaker 4: Yeah, the number is that different or was that the same?
- 9:59Speaker 1: No, it's different. Yeah, this is just do it on
- 10:01Speaker 1: a piece of paper, you draw square, just mash across
- 10:05Speaker 1: and then down the side would be the names of
- 10:06Speaker 1: these you know, dudes, with the name of the chicks,
- 10:08Speaker 1: and then the kind of a car, and then whatever
- 10:10Speaker 1: the else A that thing I forget like what it
- 10:11Speaker 1: was like how you would go around to like start
- 10:13Speaker 1: crossing the other ones off to narrow them down.
- 10:15Speaker 2: It's however, many letters are in their name, right, that's
- 10:20Speaker 2: how you're counting across.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Yeah, alright, eight seven forty four Yeah, titty twisters purple
- 10:27Speaker 1: nurple in Tokyo. Yeah yeah, just you go up and
- 10:30Speaker 1: just wrench on something. Two for flinching was always big.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Man, this one kid, Hassan Collier. I'll never forget this
- 10:37Speaker 1: kid hits so hard, like your bruises would turn purple,
- 10:41Speaker 1: purple and yet yellow. You know how you ever have
- 10:43Speaker 1: a bruise so bad? Show well being that it's a Friday.

- 13:25Speaker 1: You might know, but you are a person of a
- 13:26Speaker 1: certain age. I mean mister Rogers, Sesame Street, those two
- 13:29Speaker 1: things were.
- 13:30Speaker 3: They were on recall watching either of those shows. To
- 13:33Speaker 3: be honest, I.
- 13:34Speaker 8: Watched Sesame Street Electric Company, and I never watched mister Rogers.
- 13:39Speaker 2: It was a little creepy. No, but I still know.

- 14:28Speaker 3: Man.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I'll say yes for Menace and then no for Crinthia.
- 14:33Speaker 2: I don't have a good feeling about this. I feel
- 14:35Speaker 2: like it should be easy, but I'm going triple no.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Triple no. Greg Gory thinking triple no as well. All right, Jonathan,
- 14:40Speaker 1: what do you think? Yes or no?
- 14:43Speaker 3: I'm gonna say no. She sounds like she's young, Okay.

- 15:11Speaker 1: of the characters that live in the Land of make
- 15:13Speaker 1: Believe down.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Terifying.
- 15:17Speaker 4: Look the tiger, right, the little tiger.
- 15:20Speaker 1: The little puppet tiger.
- 15:21Speaker 4: Yeah, they're all a puppets.
