Blues Add Shutdown Defenseman Schairer
St. Louis Blues surprise fans by selecting defenseman Luke Schairer with the 75th pick—yes, another blueliner after already drafting one. The 6’3”, 200-pound U.S. Development Program standout brings shutdown defense and elite speed to their blue line. GM’s clearly focused on building depth, and with two picks left in the fourth round, expect more moves. Schairer heads to Boston University for 2027-28, while Adam Jiricek’s imminent NHL debut makes this a smart, strategic addition.
