September 26th
Classical music, Broadway, rock, pop and art rock come together in today’s episode of The Music Dial, with stories connected to September 26.
We remember George Gershwin, revisit the Broadway opening of West Side Story, and return to the release of The Beatles’ legendary Abbey Road. We also celebrate the musical legacies of Olivia Newton-John and Roxy Music frontman Bryan Ferry.
One date, five very different musical worlds, and stories stretching from the American songbook to one of the most iconic albums in rock history.
