- 0:32Speaker 1: To turn the mouth turn, got to turn the mouth
- 0:36Speaker 1: turn al the morning. Come come on you uh huh,
- 0:53Speaker 1: I sure will. Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 0:57Speaker 1: come on, dig me down one and only Steve got
- 1:01Speaker 1: a radio show. Man, oh man, oh man, God being
- 1:06Speaker 1: good to me. Man. I can't explain it all really, Hey,
- 1:10Speaker 1: you know, I want I want to remind everybody of
- 1:12Speaker 1: something that I need reminding of myself all the time.
- 1:17Speaker 1: And I'm dealing with a couple of things now and
- 1:20Speaker 1: I had to remind myself. Uh, you know what I
- 1:23Speaker 1: have to remember. I have to constantly remind myself to
- 1:27Speaker 1: stay in constant communication with God. Constant communication with God.
- 1:34Speaker 1: You know sometimes you know, I have a tendency and
- 1:37Speaker 1: maybe we do all this people I don't know, but
- 1:39Speaker 1: I know for me that when it's going okay, I
- 1:44Speaker 1: slack up in sometimes having conversations with Him because I'm
- 1:48Speaker 1: not coming to him on a daily with something that's
- 1:50Speaker 1: pressing or something, and I find myself slacking up in
- 1:53Speaker 1: the communication. The danger I have learned in that is this,
- 2:00Speaker 1: I think, you know. I mean, we've all heard old
- 2:03Speaker 1: people say, you know, you got to stay prayed up,
- 2:05Speaker 1: you know, and you know, prayed up means you know
- 2:10Speaker 1: you got some store it up. You just got an
- 2:12Speaker 1: abundance of them where you're putting it in. Because what
- 2:16Speaker 1: happens is is when you're not in constant communication with God,
- 2:20Speaker 1: when you're not constantly praying, doing those good times, that
- 2:25Speaker 1: allows for the enemy to slip in and do the
- 2:29Speaker 1: little things that can be upsetting. And then the next thing,
- 2:33Speaker 1: you know what, you get several little things in a row.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Now you got an issue you're dealing with. You know,
- 2:39Speaker 1: I have to remind myself when it's going like that, Man,
- 2:42Speaker 1: Have I really been praying though? Have I really been
- 2:45Speaker 1: in constant communication with God? Because you know, that helps
- 2:50Speaker 1: God against that little bitty stuff coming in. Sometimes it's
- 2:54Speaker 1: big stuff, sometimes it's major stuff. But I've noticed, man,
- 2:58Speaker 1: that when I get on a more smooth plane in life,
- 3:02Speaker 1: I have a tendency to slack up in that department.
- 3:05Speaker 1: And that ain't the time to slack up. I'm really
- 3:09Speaker 1: learning that I have to stay in constant communication with
- 3:12Speaker 1: God because it enables me to ward off those little
- 3:17Speaker 1: things coming up that can get in the way. And
- 3:21Speaker 1: so I just wanted to make you aware of that
- 3:24Speaker 1: as I'm learning it myself that staying prayed up is
- 3:28Speaker 1: important that you try to stop prayers, you know, you
- 3:31Speaker 1: try to you know, have some prayers in the bank,
- 3:34Speaker 1: so to speak, and just constant communication with him because
- 3:37Speaker 1: it'll just safeguard you against a lot of stuff back
- 3:40Speaker 1: doing you. You know, I just wanted to make sure
- 3:42Speaker 1: you understood that because on your journey, it's gonna be
- 3:46Speaker 1: many obstacles. I've said this one hundred times on the show.
- 3:50Speaker 1: The road to success is always under construction. I say
- 3:53Speaker 1: that all the time, and it's to let you understand
- 3:57Speaker 1: that it's not going to be easy, but we can
- 4:01Speaker 1: make it more difficult than it has to be, you know,
- 4:05Speaker 1: when you go out strike out on the journey. You know,
- 4:09Speaker 1: let's say I got in my car. Let's say I'm
- 4:11Speaker 1: in New York and I get in my car and
- 4:15Speaker 1: I say I'm going to LA. I know, if I
- 4:18Speaker 1: drive west and continue to drive west, eventually I should
- 4:25Speaker 1: get to California, or I may wind up in Portland
- 4:29Speaker 1: or Seattle or something like that. But if I drive west,
- 4:33Speaker 1: I'm gonna eventually get to the West Coast. Now wouldn't
- 4:40Speaker 1: it be smarter though, if I mapped out the route
- 4:47Speaker 1: which saved me a bunch of driving I don't need
- 4:50Speaker 1: and figuring that I don't have to calculate when you
- 4:53Speaker 1: know the way to go. You know, if you know
- 4:59Speaker 1: you want to cut cross on the twenty, or you
- 5:02Speaker 1: want to cut cross on the seventy, or you want
- 5:06Speaker 1: to cut cross on the tin, you know, you got
- 5:10Speaker 1: to devise a route. Now, if I want to go
- 5:12Speaker 1: visit some people I know, then I know I got
- 5:14Speaker 1: the I need to go down. You know, I might
- 5:17Speaker 1: go through Ohio, come down on the eighty, then get
- 5:20Speaker 1: on seventy one and take that all the way down
- 5:22Speaker 1: to the ten and then ride across. So I might
- 5:24Speaker 1: take it to the twenty, cut through Texas and then
- 5:28Speaker 1: and then let it link back up on the ten.
- 5:30Speaker 1: I know a lot of different ways, but guess what
- 5:33Speaker 1: the best way is to map it out. You can
- 5:37Speaker 1: go anywhere, but if you go with a map, it's
- 5:40Speaker 1: more precise. You save yourself a lot of time. And
- 5:44Speaker 1: that's what prayer has taught me that when I will
- 5:47Speaker 1: entify continuously, pray that I stay in the in the
- 5:51Speaker 1: in the I stay in the prepared mode. I have
- 5:54Speaker 1: more idea of where I'm going. I'm more secure with
- 5:57Speaker 1: my route. If you just take off heading west, Yeah,
- 6:02Speaker 1: you'll eventually get to the west coast if you out east.
- 6:05Speaker 1: But guess what though, had you mapped it out, you
- 6:08Speaker 1: can see when you veering off, you may stop, come
- 6:11Speaker 1: out and not be paying attention. Next thing, you know,
- 6:14Speaker 1: you're on a route and you go on another way.
- 6:16Speaker 1: You're going north when you could easily still be going west.
- 6:19Speaker 1: You've got to constantly be aware of that. And I'm
- 6:21Speaker 1: just pointing that out to you because I know that
- 6:23Speaker 1: on your journey a lot of times you get sidetracked.
- 6:27Speaker 1: And part of the ways we get sidetracked is we
- 6:30Speaker 1: lose out on that very the very beneficial resource of prayer.
- 6:35Speaker 1: We lose out our connection with God gets strained. The
- 6:39Speaker 1: thicker you can keep the cord connected to God. If
- 6:45Speaker 1: you thin out your communication with God, and instead of
- 6:48Speaker 1: having a big thick cable, now you're dealing with a
- 6:51Speaker 1: little thread. You know, a cable is stronger than thread,
- 6:55Speaker 1: and so it just decreases your opportunity. And so you know,
- 7:01Speaker 1: I wanted to just make you aware of that, and
- 7:04Speaker 1: you know, to ever be encouraged and to say to
- 7:06Speaker 1: everybody out there and just keep your head up. It
- 7:09Speaker 1: is going to be dark days for you. There are
- 7:11Speaker 1: going to be situations where it's going to be daunting
- 7:14Speaker 1: and hard to face. But man o, man oh man,
- 7:18Speaker 1: everybody has to face these challenges. Everybody get dark sometimes.
- 7:23Speaker 1: You know, Look, if you didn't lose, if you didn't lose,
- 7:28Speaker 1: you wouldn't even appreciate winning because if it all went
- 7:32Speaker 1: your weight all the time. Do you know how complacent
- 7:36Speaker 1: and content and how easy life would be if it
- 7:40Speaker 1: just went your way all the time. So when it
- 7:44Speaker 1: kept going your way, you wouldn't even appreciate it because
- 7:46Speaker 1: guess what, it's been going this way the whole time.
- 7:49Speaker 1: So what life does is it has its checks and balances.
- 7:53Speaker 1: These hard times are coming, and you need the hard
- 7:56Speaker 1: times to appreciate the good times. You need the clouds
- 8:00Speaker 1: and you need to rain to appreciate the sun and
- 8:04Speaker 1: the flowers. It's just when it comes to prayer, though,
- 8:09Speaker 1: just stay prayed up, stay constant with it, because the
- 8:14Speaker 1: challenges of life are coming, whether you prayed up or not,
- 8:18Speaker 1: they're coming. Understand that you could pray every day all day.
- 8:22Speaker 1: When you get through praying every day all day, something's
- 8:25Speaker 1: gonna happen to you. That's gonna be challenging. Now. I
- 8:29Speaker 1: would rather have been in communication with God on a
- 8:31Speaker 1: regular than wait till every time something pop off to
- 8:35Speaker 1: have to go to and reintroduce myself. Okay, it was
- 8:39Speaker 1: over a little around the board with it today, but
- 8:42Speaker 1: that's how it came to me, so that is I
- 8:44Speaker 1: ain't mad at it. Y'all have a great day. We're
- 8:46Speaker 1: gonna have a good one the day. Let's go. You're
- 8:48Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
