- 0:23Speaker 2: Sometimes?
- 0:24Speaker 3: You don't want to go where everybody knows your name
- 0:30Speaker 3: and they're always glad you can. You want to be
- 0:36Speaker 3: where you can see troubles are all safe. You want
- 0:40Speaker 3: to be with everybody knows your name. You want to
- 0:46Speaker 3: go where people know, people are all saved. You want
- 0:51Speaker 3: to go and where everybody knows your name.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Yep, I'm off, but Sam, and can I let you
- 1:08Speaker 4: in on a little secret? Sure I knew you'd come back.
- 1:14Speaker 5: You did.
- 1:17Speaker 4: You can never be unfaithful to your one true love.
- 1:21Speaker 4: You always come back to her. Who is that? Think
- 1:30Speaker 4: about it?
- 1:31Speaker 5: Sam? Haright, Dian, I'm the luckiest son of a bitch owner.
- 2:09Speaker 2: That was the final scene from the TV show Cheers.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Welcome to the Robbie g Podcast. On a sad somber day.
- 2:17Speaker 2: As a couple of days ago, we lost George went
- 2:19Speaker 2: who was a Chicago staple from the TV show Cheers.
- 2:23Speaker 2: He played Norm Peterson, but he was Chicago through and through.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Everybody remembers him from SNL with the skit I'll talk
- 2:33Speaker 2: about that in a second George Robert When Junior was
- 2:36Speaker 2: born October seventeenth, nineteen forty eight, and was an American actor.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Went portrayed Norm Peterson on the NBC sitcom Cheers from
- 2:46Speaker 2: nineteen eighty two to nineteen ninety three, which earned him
- 2:49Speaker 2: six consecutive nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding
- 2:53Speaker 2: Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. After Cheers ended, he
- 2:57Speaker 2: started his own short lived CBS sitcom called The George
- 3:01Speaker 2: Wentz Show in nineteen ninety five. He was born in Chicago, Illinois.
- 3:07Speaker 2: His alma mater was Rockhurst University. He was active in
- 3:12Speaker 2: acting from nineteen seventy eight till last year, twenty twenty four.
- 3:17Speaker 2: He was married to a spouse, Bernadette Burkett, who he
- 3:21Speaker 2: met at Second City, and they were married from nineteen
- 3:25Speaker 2: seventy eight until he died in twenty twenty five. They
- 3:27Speaker 2: had three children together, and his nephew I didn't know
- 3:31Speaker 2: this as Jason Sedakis. I never knew that one also
- 3:35Speaker 2: appeared in the comedy films such as Airplane Too, the sequel,
- 3:38Speaker 2: No Small Affair, Fletch, Little Rascals, Man of the House,
- 3:43Speaker 2: Spice World, Outside Providence and Sandy Wexler, as well as
- 3:47Speaker 2: dramas such as Somewhere in Time, Dreamscape, Guilty by Suspicion,
- 3:52Speaker 2: Forever Young, Lake Beat, and The Climb. On television, he
- 3:57Speaker 2: had supporting and recurring roles on the CBS sitcom Making
- 4:00Speaker 2: the Grade, This fantasy sitcom Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and
- 4:05Speaker 2: the Disney animated series Fancy Nancy. He also had guest
- 4:10Speaker 2: roles on Saturday Night Live, Colombo, The Twilight Zone, Fraser,
- 4:14Speaker 2: The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Portlandia. On stage, he also
- 4:18Speaker 2: appeared on Broadway playing Edna Turnblad in the musical comedy
- 4:23Speaker 2: Hair Spray. Let's look a little bit at his SNL
- 4:27Speaker 2: because everybody remembers him from SNL as one of the
- 4:31Speaker 2: Chicago Bear guys, which is hilarious. I think everybody loved
- 4:35Speaker 2: him in that character. To me, that was one of
- 4:38Speaker 2: my favorite characters of all time. Yeah, he was a
- 4:44Speaker 2: funny guy. I mean everybody knew that. He also appeared
- 4:47Speaker 2: in the nineteen eighty film My Bodyguard and also had
- 4:50Speaker 2: small TV series on Taxi Soap and Mash. In nineteen
- 4:55Speaker 2: eighty two, his breakthrough, of course, was with Cheers. Everybody
- 4:59Speaker 2: knows that he was on that for the eleven seasons.
- 5:02Speaker 2: I'm looking for his role in SNL. Everybody knows well.
- 5:06Speaker 2: He had multiple roles on SNL. He played Bob Swarsky,
- 5:13Speaker 2: the Chicago Bear guy. And it's actually funny because there's
- 5:17Speaker 2: a guy on there's a guy that is on TikTok
- 5:28Speaker 2: and he plays the nephew. He's not really the nephew
- 5:32Speaker 2: of that character, obviously, and that's he sings in the
- 5:36Speaker 2: same type of voice he does the Bears thing. He's
- 5:39Speaker 2: a Bears fantas from Chicago. He's been at the WGN
- 5:41Speaker 2: News if you ever watched that. But yeah, he's funny.
- 5:46Speaker 2: When's first appearance on SNL was in season eleven episode
- 5:50Speaker 2: where he shared hosting duties with director Francis for Coppola.
- 5:54Speaker 2: In nineteen eighty eight, he played the part of Witten
- 5:58Speaker 2: in the New Zealand made film Never Say. In the
- 6:01Speaker 2: early nineties, when made a cameo appearance on several episodes
- 6:04Speaker 2: of SNL as Bob Swarsky, one of the Chicago superfans,
- 6:09Speaker 2: along with cast members Chris Farley, Mike Meyers, Robert Smigel,
- 6:12Speaker 2: and one time host Joe Montagna. So yeah, everybody knows
- 6:16Speaker 2: him really for that. I mean, everybody knows him for
- 6:19Speaker 2: a lot of things, but that one and his of
- 6:23Speaker 2: course cheers norm Peterson. Everybody knows those two as his
- 6:27Speaker 2: main roles that he was ever in. Those were the
- 6:29Speaker 2: ones that made him really famous. So he does have
- 6:32Speaker 2: a few kids his wife, they have three. It's amazing
- 6:36Speaker 2: that they were married as long as they were because
- 6:38Speaker 2: from nineteen seventy eight to twenty twenty five, especially being
- 6:42Speaker 2: an actor in Hollywood, that's not easy to do. But
- 6:44Speaker 2: she was an actor too, I guess I looked it up.
- 6:47Speaker 2: She was an actor in some pretty big stuff too.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Let's see what was she in.
- 6:56Speaker 6: There was something angain trying to see what she was,
- 7:08Speaker 6: and she was in a few things.
- 7:10Speaker 2: But she was from Chicago too, so and they met
- 7:13Speaker 2: at Second City. Yeah, it doesn't really say, Oh, she
- 7:19Speaker 2: was on Heartbreakers, Mister Mom and Saint Elmo's Fire. So
- 7:23Speaker 2: she was in some pretty cool stuff too back in
- 7:26Speaker 2: the nineties. So yeah, George went very, very sad. He
- 7:31Speaker 2: was born May or October seventeen, nineteen forty eight, passed
- 7:35Speaker 2: away May twenty, at twenty twenty five, at seventy six
- 7:38Speaker 2: years old. Rest in peace, norm You're gonna be missed.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Let's do a moment of silence.
- 8:19Speaker 7: Happy alright, So here we go.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Celebrity birthdays for today, May twenty third, twenty twenty five
- 8:48Speaker 2: days your birthday, Happy birthday, And here's some people that
- 8:51Speaker 2: celebrate with you. My buddy Jose from work turns thirty
- 8:55Speaker 2: seven today. Bray Wyatt, what had a birthday today? Drew
- 8:59Speaker 2: Carrey turns sixty seven, Singer Jewel turns fifty one, and
- 9:03Speaker 2: voice singer Kyla Jade turns forty one. Tomorrow Saturday, May twentieth,
- 9:09Speaker 2: Geasy or twenty fourth Geasy turns thirty six. Bob Dylan
- 9:13Speaker 2: turns eighty four, Elvis's wife Priscilla, Peter Butter and Nana
- 9:18Speaker 2: Sandwiches She turns eighty, Patty LaBelle turns eighty one, and
- 9:24Speaker 2: Kira Kira turns thirty. I don't even know who she is,
- 9:27Speaker 2: but she was pretty up there on the list, so
- 9:29Speaker 2: I figured she must be pretty popular. And then, of course, Sunday,
- 9:32Speaker 2: May twenty fifth, the tribal chief Roman Reigns turns forty,
- 9:37Speaker 2: Comedian Mike Myers turns sixty two. Football player and number
- 9:41Speaker 2: one draft pick cam Ward from this year, turns twenty three.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Actor Ian McKellen, who was from of course, The Lord
- 9:50Speaker 2: of the Rings he turns eighty six, gymnast and my
- 9:53Speaker 2: friend's niece or no, not niece. Cousin Ali Rasman turns
- 9:59Speaker 2: thirty one, and wrestler Alberto del Rio turns forty eight
- 10:05Speaker 2: years old. So happy birthday to all the celebrities that
- 10:08Speaker 2: have birthdays this weekend, and of course happy birthday to
- 10:11Speaker 2: all of you out there. Got a pretty good show
- 10:13Speaker 2: for you today. Not a ton though, because I mean really,
- 10:18Speaker 2: this is kind of the lull of the season right now.
- 10:21Speaker 2: OTAs are going on, of course for the NFL players
- 10:25Speaker 2: and everything, so that's going on right now, but I mean, really,
- 10:29Speaker 2: it's pretty quiet in the NFL. There's no major signings
- 10:32Speaker 2: this week. I didn't see any major major trades. I
- 10:35Speaker 2: know the Chicago Bears or signed Joe Tooney to an
- 10:41Speaker 2: extra two years on his contract, which is good. He
- 10:44Speaker 2: aligns now with Caleb Williams, because if you want to
- 10:47Speaker 2: build these players together, then then you have to align
- 10:53Speaker 2: their contracts as much as you can so that you
- 10:56Speaker 2: know that they're locked in for around the same amount
- 10:58Speaker 2: of years. You want to do that, but then you
- 11:01Speaker 2: go from there. But yeah, nothing major going on in
- 11:05Speaker 2: the NFL right now. Kind of crazy, which you know,
- 11:08Speaker 2: that's always a good thing. The news, the news coming
- 11:13Speaker 2: out though from last week. I think, did we talk
- 11:16Speaker 2: about it last week? If not, I'll talk about it
- 11:18Speaker 2: really quick now. The Caleb william news from the book
- 11:22Speaker 2: that thy Oh yeah, we did talk about that last week,
- 11:24Speaker 2: the book that was coming out with Caleb Williams. And
- 11:26Speaker 2: it's not about Caleb, it's about NFL quarterbacks around the league.
- 11:31Speaker 2: And yeah, it's a non issue. In fact, Caleb during
- 11:36Speaker 2: OTA's didn't even want to talk to the media because
- 11:38Speaker 2: and I don't blame the kid. You know what, Caleb,
- 11:41Speaker 2: you don't need to talk to the media about this.
- 11:43Speaker 2: This was a moot point. This was before the NFL
- 11:48Speaker 2: Draft last year. It's not even a point that you
- 11:51Speaker 2: need to make. Like I keep seeing it in the media,
- 11:55Speaker 2: like they're talking about it. It's like it's a non
- 11:57Speaker 2: talking point. We already knew he didn't want to play
- 12:00Speaker 2: here originally. Originally they already said that he didn't want
- 12:03Speaker 2: to be here. That has nothing to do with anything
- 12:09Speaker 2: he changed his mind. He came here before the draft.
- 12:13Speaker 2: When they do the pre draft interviews and everything with
- 12:15Speaker 2: the players at the home of the facility where you
- 12:19Speaker 2: know they might be drafted, and he talked to the coaches,
- 12:23Speaker 2: he talked to the owners, he talked to poles, and
- 12:27Speaker 2: he loved it here. You know, he fell in love
- 12:30Speaker 2: with Chicago, he fell in love with the team, and
- 12:33Speaker 2: he wanted to play here. It's a point to say, oh, well,
- 12:37Speaker 2: Caleb don't want to be a Bear. He wants to
- 12:39Speaker 2: be a Bear. He loves being a bear. The dude
- 12:41Speaker 2: made the bear claw, okay, like honestly, like he's got
- 12:44Speaker 2: the hand signal for the bear claw. Nobody ever did
- 12:48Speaker 2: the bear claw like that. So I mean, he definitely
- 12:50Speaker 2: wants to be here. I can't wait for the season
- 12:54Speaker 2: to start now. Like, look, I don't want to rush
- 12:57Speaker 2: summer because I love summer, and we got a lot
- 13:00Speaker 2: of stuff going on this summer, a lot of fun stuff.
- 13:04Speaker 2: But I will be excited when we get past August
- 13:10Speaker 2: and they start the season in September. I'm excited because
- 13:14Speaker 2: I want to see what happens. I am excited to
- 13:16Speaker 2: see what goes on in the inner workings of the Bears.
- 13:22Speaker 2: How Ben Johnson will change the culture of this team,
- 13:24Speaker 2: How He's gonna make a quarterback be the first ever
- 13:28Speaker 2: four thousand yard passer. Caleb Williams last year had thirty
- 13:32Speaker 2: five hundred yards with a shitty offensive line and even
- 13:36Speaker 2: worse coaching. Imagine what he's gonna do with a fixed
- 13:40Speaker 2: up line with more weapons, if you can think about it,
- 13:45Speaker 2: we have more weapons now. Colston Loveland at tight end.
- 13:48Speaker 2: I don't care what anybody says. He's an amazing tight end.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Was I happy that we went tight end at number ten?
- 13:54Speaker 2: Not really, but I'll take it another weapon for Caleb.
- 14:00Speaker 2: I have Dj Moore, who is definitely gonna want to
- 14:03Speaker 2: have a rebound season after last year. You have a
- 14:07Speaker 2: second year Roma Doonz, who they literally have said has
- 14:11Speaker 2: looked amazing during practice during OTAs for his second year
- 14:16Speaker 2: in the league. And then you have a couple of
- 14:19Speaker 2: new receivers, one who literally said I was passed on
- 14:23Speaker 2: by a lot of teams. I'm gonna make them pay
- 14:25Speaker 2: for that. I'm excited. This team is very exciting to watch.
- 14:31Speaker 2: If we can go after a guy like Trey Hendrickson
- 14:34Speaker 2: and maybe make a trade for him, I would seriously
- 14:37Speaker 2: throw in a Cole Comet. I feel like we're good
- 14:40Speaker 2: at tight end. I think Colston Loveland is going to
- 14:42Speaker 2: be better than Kamet. I feel like you don't even
- 14:45Speaker 2: need Commett. I love Cole Comett, one of my favorite
- 14:47Speaker 2: players in the NFL. But at the same time, all
- 14:52Speaker 2: he's gonna do is start getting older. You just drafted
- 14:55Speaker 2: a tight end who's like, what twenty three years old?
- 15:00Speaker 2: There you go, that's what you need. You just got
- 15:03Speaker 2: in free agency another tight end, so you technically have
- 15:08Speaker 2: your two tight end set right there. So you don't
- 15:12Speaker 2: need Cole Comet. Technically, if Cole stays, I'll be happy,
- 15:16Speaker 2: But if he leaves, I won't be upset because at
- 15:18Speaker 2: the same time, I feel like you just drafted a younger,
- 15:23Speaker 2: better version of Cole Comet. You just got another tight
- 15:28Speaker 2: end that you paid for in free agency. Be done.
- 15:31Speaker 2: That's it. That's all you need. Use Cole Comet as
- 15:34Speaker 2: a trade piece for a team like Cincinnati who need
- 15:40Speaker 2: to know they need to get what a Trey Hendricks
- 15:41Speaker 2: think because he don't want to play there. Put Cole
- 15:45Speaker 2: Comet in the trade. Put one more player in the trade,
- 15:48Speaker 2: not anybody great, just somebody okay or decent. And then
- 15:52Speaker 2: a couple of draft picks, A second round pick and
- 15:55Speaker 2: a third round pick, maybe two second round picks and
- 15:58Speaker 2: a third round pick, and there you go. There's your
- 16:04Speaker 2: defensive end of the future to go along with Montese Sweat.
- 16:08Speaker 2: The two of them will be wrecking offensive lines and
- 16:12Speaker 2: quarterbacks for at least a good couple of years. And
- 16:16Speaker 2: I think this team would be an instant to me anyway,
- 16:21Speaker 2: they would be an instant like win. That would be
- 16:26Speaker 2: an instant defense that could win. All right, So let's
- 16:29Speaker 2: move on football because honestly, like I said, there's really
- 16:32Speaker 2: not a lot to talk about. This show really won't
- 16:35Speaker 2: be that long today, and that's okay. I do a
- 16:38Speaker 2: lot of long shows. Let's talk Satay Knight's main event.
- 16:42Speaker 2: So we are going to talk about WWE. I honestly
- 16:46Speaker 2: think if you're gonna do Sata Knights main event, do
- 16:48Speaker 2: it big. You got well Raw went back to two hours,
- 16:52Speaker 2: but right now you've got what a three hour SmackDown.
- 16:55Speaker 2: I say, make Satay Knights main event. If you're gonna
- 16:57Speaker 2: do it twice a twice to maybe three times a year, whatever,
- 17:01Speaker 2: do a three hour show. May it almost like a
- 17:04Speaker 2: mini pay per view, because I mean, look, Saturday's main
- 17:07Speaker 2: event was never meant to be a long show. It
- 17:09Speaker 2: was never long. Even when I was a kid and
- 17:12Speaker 2: they debuted it in the eighties, it was like a
- 17:14Speaker 2: very short In fact, it used to start at like
- 17:16Speaker 2: ten thirty at night and go till midnight. It was
- 17:18Speaker 2: only like an hour and a half long. But to
- 17:20Speaker 2: me nowadays, if you got such a loaded roster of
- 17:24Speaker 2: guys who are big, you might as well make it
- 17:26Speaker 2: a three hour show and just do it from seven
- 17:28Speaker 2: to ten. If you're going to do it in a
- 17:30Speaker 2: time slot that early, you might as well make the
- 17:33Speaker 2: most out of it and make it like a mini
- 17:36Speaker 2: pay per view. As everybody knows, this weekend is Satura
- 17:39Speaker 2: Night's main event. It's tomorrow night. It returns a loaded
- 17:42Speaker 2: show featuring everything from a world heavyweight title match to
- 17:46Speaker 2: one of the inter ring stops on John Cena's retirement tour.
- 17:50Speaker 2: He will now be putting his title on the line
- 17:52Speaker 2: though when he takes on well you'll see in a second.
- 17:55Speaker 2: So let's look at the card World Heavyweight Championship match,
- 18:00Speaker 2: jay Usso Champion versus Logan. Paul Uso isn't losing his
- 18:04Speaker 2: World heavyweight title so soon, and I pick him to
- 18:06Speaker 2: Jay us is gonna win. He's not losing it to
- 18:11Speaker 2: Logan Paul on Sarah Knight's main event. It's just not
- 18:14Speaker 2: gonna happen. Obviously, jay Usso wants to be a fighting champion,
- 18:19Speaker 2: so they're gonna have him put his title on the line. Now,
- 18:22Speaker 2: who is he gonna face next? We already know the
- 18:25Speaker 2: winner of the Jay Usso Logan Paul match will face
- 18:29Speaker 2: off against Guther the Raw after Money in the Bank,
- 18:34Speaker 2: which is on June seventh. So like literally, like I'll
- 18:38Speaker 2: talk about it in a minute. We're like two weeks
- 18:40Speaker 2: away from the next big pay per view with Sarah
- 18:44Speaker 2: Knight's main event this weekend. It's nuts, but that's because,
- 18:49Speaker 2: like everybody knows, it's really not a big deal. It's
- 18:52Speaker 2: Sarah Knight's main event. It's not meant to be a
- 18:54Speaker 2: pay per view. It's not taking like anything away from
- 18:58Speaker 2: the pay per view. It's just fun, that's it. So
- 19:02Speaker 2: Jaylusill's going to retain the title. John Cena Versus Our
- 19:05Speaker 2: Truth Our Truth will face off against his childhood hero,
- 19:09Speaker 2: John Cena Funny Hilarious. On October thirty first, nineteen eighty nine,
- 19:15Speaker 2: the Genius defeated Hulk Hogan on Saturday Night's made an event.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Let me go ahead and pick a bit of that
- 19:21Speaker 2: upset magic for Saturday Night and side with Truth to
- 19:25Speaker 2: get the win. Now, this is what CBS says. I say,
- 19:30Speaker 2: I would love to see our Truth get the upset
- 19:33Speaker 2: will he maybe? I mean, if you think about it,
- 19:38Speaker 2: John Cena doesn't have nothing to lose. He's not gonna
- 19:40Speaker 2: necessarily win every single match, especially if it's non title,
- 19:45Speaker 2: So I mean I could see Our Truth with the
- 19:49Speaker 2: crazy roll up, you know, pin or something to make
- 19:52Speaker 2: the crowd goo nuts. I think that would be a
- 19:54Speaker 2: good way to do it. It's not for the title. It's
- 19:57Speaker 2: just two guys who had animosity and facing each other.
- 20:02Speaker 2: So to me, it's no harm, no foul for John
- 20:05Speaker 2: Cena to lose this match. He's not losing his title.
- 20:08Speaker 7: I will go.
- 20:10Speaker 2: With Our Truth to get the crazy upset win, maybe
- 20:13Speaker 2: a disqualification win. Somehow Sina's going to lose this match,
- 20:18Speaker 2: and I think it would be by like a crazy
- 20:20Speaker 2: DQ or like a crazy roll up, so we'll see
- 20:23Speaker 2: what happened. He does not have a he doesn't have
- 20:32Speaker 2: an opponent yet either for money in the bank, So
- 20:37Speaker 2: that's the crazy thing. CM punkin sammuse Ain versus souther
- 20:41Speaker 2: Allan's and bron Breaker. I think that we are going
- 20:44Speaker 2: to see sammuse Ain join Evolution two point zero. However
- 20:50Speaker 2: you want to put it right now, I think that
- 20:53Speaker 2: sammys Ain is a plant and he's going to turn
- 20:56Speaker 2: on CM Punk and then possibly is saved by Roman Reigns.
- 21:01Speaker 2: It is a big you know, Saturday Night's main event.
- 21:03Speaker 2: It's on TV.
- 21:05Speaker 7: You know.
- 21:05Speaker 2: I can see Roman Reigns come out and help them.
- 21:08Speaker 2: So I think we will see a CM Punk and
- 21:13Speaker 2: Roman Reigns match in the future. So maybe he will
- 21:17Speaker 2: not come down to help right now, because I think anyway.
- 21:22Speaker 2: In my mind, I think we're going to see CM
- 21:25Speaker 2: Punk and John c and I have money in the bank.
- 21:28Speaker 2: That's what I'm hoping for. I want to see that match,
- 21:33Speaker 2: and I'll talk about that when we talk about money
- 21:35Speaker 2: in the bank. So I'm taking Seth Rollands and bron Breaker,
- 21:38Speaker 2: and like I said, we are going to see Sammy's
- 21:41Speaker 2: Ain turn on CM Punk, Damian Priest and True McIntyre
- 21:45Speaker 2: in a steel cage. Jesus Lord, this is getting drawn
- 21:48Speaker 2: out now. I'm taken Damian Priest also with the win
- 21:51Speaker 2: here and that's all. They got like four matches, but
- 21:54Speaker 2: you only got two hours, so you're gonna have of course,
- 21:56Speaker 2: you know, a little bit of talking and all that
- 21:58Speaker 2: kind of stuff. So yeah, they might even throw in
- 22:00Speaker 2: an extra match somehow. But yeah, so far as just
- 22:03Speaker 2: four matches, I don't see any women matches on the
- 22:05Speaker 2: card yet. So maybe tonight on SmackDown you'll see something
- 22:10Speaker 2: happened and maybe Tiffie old defender title or something. Yeah,
- 22:13Speaker 2: we'll see what happens. But that's it for that. So
- 22:16Speaker 2: let's look at money in the bank right now, and
- 22:22Speaker 2: let's see is there anything set in? I know there
- 22:25Speaker 2: were a few qualifying matches already. Let's see Big Mattress
- 22:41Speaker 2: Pit well for John Cena, anything good? Yeah, see, I
- 22:54Speaker 2: don't have anything yet, I know so far Solo Socoa
- 23:02Speaker 2: is in the money in the bank, ladder Man. Yeah,
- 23:07Speaker 2: I don't really see much, so we'll have to talk
- 23:09Speaker 2: about it next week. I think after Saturay Night's made event,
- 23:12Speaker 2: you're gonna see them hyper go into money in the
- 23:15Speaker 2: bank with two weeks left, less than two weeks left
- 23:18Speaker 2: before it. I think you're gonna see them go hyper
- 23:20Speaker 2: on it. You're gonna see qualifying matches like crazy and
- 23:25Speaker 2: stuff like that. Right now, I think money in the
- 23:28Speaker 2: bank would be good for a Sena and see them
- 23:30Speaker 2: Punk rematch, because that's where see them punk beat and
- 23:34Speaker 2: stole the title from John Cena in Chicago have money
- 23:38Speaker 2: in the bank. So wouldn't it be crazy if all
- 23:42Speaker 2: these years later Sina beats CM Punk because you know
- 23:45Speaker 2: he's not gonna lose to at least SummerSlam. It could
- 23:48Speaker 2: be longer than that, Adam. They may have seen A
- 23:51Speaker 2: hold this title all the way till the end of
- 23:53Speaker 2: his retirement. They may even have him retired with the title.
- 23:57Speaker 2: I don't know. And there's also been rumor thrown around
- 24:00Speaker 2: that Sena could be in the money in the bank
- 24:03Speaker 2: ladder match, win it so that he has nobody to
- 24:08Speaker 2: face him, and then maybe cash in on Jay Uso
- 24:14Speaker 2: or one of them and beat them and then hold
- 24:18Speaker 2: both titles hostage. There's rumors about that, not to put
- 24:22Speaker 2: them together the titles, but just to hold those titles
- 24:25Speaker 2: hostages until he leaves. We'll see what happens. We'll see
- 24:28Speaker 2: what happens with that. But yeah, so let's see what happens.
- 24:34Speaker 2: We'll talk about next week. We'll talk more money in
- 24:36Speaker 2: the bank. We'll talk about the results of Saturday night's
- 24:39Speaker 2: main event. NBA has been kind of wild. We got
- 24:43Speaker 2: the Pacers and Knicks right now going crazy with each other,
- 24:47Speaker 2: and then we've got Oklahoma City. I believe they are
- 24:51Speaker 2: up two games to not I didn't even want to
- 24:52Speaker 2: see the end of that game because I had a
- 24:54Speaker 2: bet going and I end up losing because okay see,
- 24:57Speaker 2: what was up? Oh yeah, I was one eighteen to
- 24:59Speaker 2: one oh three. So the Timberwolves are down two right
- 25:03Speaker 2: now going into Game three in Minnesota. If they do
- 25:09Speaker 2: not win Sunday, If Minnesota loses the series or loses
- 25:15Speaker 2: that their game, they're done. It's over. No chance to
- 25:20Speaker 2: come back. So if you're a Minnesota fan, they had
- 25:25Speaker 2: a decent run. But okay see, is just on another
- 25:28Speaker 2: level right now. Okay see has ran through Denver. Who
- 25:32Speaker 2: are I think is are better than Minnesota? Yeah, okay see,
- 25:38Speaker 2: is just I think that okay C is gonna win
- 25:41Speaker 2: four or five. I think the Knicks and Pacers are
- 25:44Speaker 2: gonna go at least maybe six or seven games. But yeah,
- 25:49Speaker 2: this series, if Minnesota wins, if the thunder win Game
- 25:55Speaker 2: three in Minnesota tomorrow on Saturday. It's over, it's done.
- 26:02Speaker 2: I would like to see Minnesota make a series out
- 26:04Speaker 2: of it. I don't think anybody's beating okay See. I
- 26:07Speaker 2: think OKAYC is gonna be the champion. I think they
- 26:09Speaker 2: beat either Indiana or New York. I've having a hard
- 26:12Speaker 2: time even deciding between Indiana and New York. I'd have
- 26:16Speaker 2: to see after tonight's game what happens, because I think
- 26:21Speaker 2: that tonight's game is gonna make a big difference because
- 26:24Speaker 2: Zach comeback winning Game one and Halliburton with that like
- 26:29Speaker 2: crazy three pointer or two pointer to tie it and
- 26:32Speaker 2: say it to overtime was nuts. That was crazy. But yeah,
- 26:37Speaker 2: I think that, Like I said, I think that series
- 26:40Speaker 2: is going six or seven, but I think that this
- 26:45Speaker 2: game is gonna be over. If Minnesota can't win Game three,
- 26:51Speaker 2: they're gonna lose in I would say four, but it
- 26:55Speaker 2: could be five. You know, maybe Minnesota wins game. If
- 26:58Speaker 2: they lose game three, down three nothing, maybe they're backs
- 27:03Speaker 2: against the wall. They win one game, but then okay
- 27:07Speaker 2: See goes back home where they're two and zero against them,
- 27:11Speaker 2: then yeah, it's over. I don't see any chance for
- 27:17Speaker 2: Minnesota to win that series. If they go down three
- 27:20Speaker 2: to nothing, so we'll see what happens there. Let's move on.
- 27:26Speaker 2: That's it for sports because there's really nothing else going
- 27:29Speaker 2: on right now. Honestly, there's not much going on this
- 27:32Speaker 2: week anywhere. So let's talk about Memorial Day. That's this weekend, alright,
- 27:40Speaker 2: So let's talk about it. Memorial Day, it's this weekend.
- 27:43Speaker 2: Of course, this holiday is for our veterans who passed away.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Memorial Okay, we have to explain this every year. Do
- 27:54Speaker 2: not go thanking a live serviceman for what they've done
- 27:59Speaker 2: for Memorial because it's to memorialize the dead soldiers. So
- 28:04Speaker 2: unless you know somebody who died, honor them. But that
- 28:08Speaker 2: is now what that's for. Veterans Day is for the veterans. Okay,
- 28:14Speaker 2: military people on Memorial Day do not want to. They'll
- 28:18Speaker 2: they'll probably thank you, you know, and say thank you
- 28:21Speaker 2: for it. They're not to be rude about it, but
- 28:23Speaker 2: it's not their day and they know that they are
- 28:26Speaker 2: there to commemorate the death of the servicemen who were
- 28:31Speaker 2: out there who lost their lives for our country. That's
- 28:34Speaker 2: what it's for. Let's see, these are some fun facts
- 28:38Speaker 2: about Memorial Day veterans in Congress. There are currently one
- 28:41Speaker 2: hundred members of the one hundred and nineteenth Congress who
- 28:45Speaker 2: have served in the US military. The fifth time and
- 28:48Speaker 2: fifty years, the number of veterans in Congress has increased.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Number two. The birthplace of Memorial Day. Twenty five US
- 28:55Speaker 2: cities have laid claim to being the birthplace of Memorial Day,
- 28:58Speaker 2: with New York becoming the first state to officially recognize
- 29:02Speaker 2: the holiday in eighteen seventy three. Memorial Day marks the
- 29:07Speaker 2: start a travel season. Roughly three point six million people
- 29:11Speaker 2: are projected to travel by plane over a Memorial Day weekend,
- 29:15Speaker 2: a two percent increase compared to twenty twenty four. Hot
- 29:19Speaker 2: Dog season is here. It's hot dog season all the time.
- 29:22Speaker 2: In Chicago. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, Americans consume
- 29:26Speaker 2: around eight hundred and eighteen hot dogs every second, adding
- 29:31Speaker 2: up to more than seven billion over the summer. That's insane,
- 29:35Speaker 2: but barbecues, cookouts, hot dogs, they are. It's all good.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Memorial Days sales bring deep discounts. Shoppers can expect significant
- 29:45Speaker 2: savings over the long weekend, with retailers offering discounts ranging
- 29:49Speaker 2: from twenty percent to eighty five percent. And that's true
- 29:52Speaker 2: when you watch TV, you'll see bed stores and all
- 29:55Speaker 2: those places doing Memorial Day sales. See what else do
- 30:00Speaker 2: we got? I think everybody has fun with this kind
- 30:04Speaker 2: of stuff. What else do we have? What the heck?
- 30:08Speaker 2: Why is it like that? This is weird now, It's
- 30:18Speaker 2: not like it was before. But here, let's look at
- 30:21Speaker 2: it all right. So Memorial Day by the numbers, forty
- 30:28Speaker 2: seven million veterans have served the country in wartime, fourteen
- 30:32Speaker 2: million projected number of living wartime veterans in twenty twenty five.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Six hundred and fifty six thousand members of the military
- 30:40Speaker 2: services have lost their lives in conflict, and those are
- 30:44Speaker 2: the ones that you memorialize this weekend. Two hundred and
- 30:50Speaker 2: sixty thousand graves at Arlington National Cemetery are adorned with
- 30:54Speaker 2: the American flags each Memorial Day. One hundred members of
- 30:58Speaker 2: OH we talked about that. Three PM the National Moment
- 31:01Speaker 2: of Remembrance, as designated by Congress in two thousand, so
- 31:05Speaker 2: on Memorial Day on Monday at three PM is supposed
- 31:10Speaker 2: to be a moment of silence for the veterans that
- 31:13Speaker 2: died sixt year. Rolling to Remember continues the tradition of
- 31:20Speaker 2: rolling thunder the annual Memorial Day Motorcycle Rally in Washington,
- 31:25Speaker 2: d C, marking the thirty seventh consecutive year of raising awareness.
- 31:30Speaker 2: First first state to officially recognize the Memorial Day was
- 31:33Speaker 2: in New York. Twenty five cities laid claim. We already
- 31:36Speaker 2: heard that fifty percent of Americans planned a barbecue over
- 31:40Speaker 2: Memorial Day weekend. I'm one of them. Let's see thirty
- 31:46Speaker 2: one point four thirty one dollars and forty cents the
- 31:49Speaker 2: average cost of a Memorial Day cookout in twenty twenty five,
- 31:53Speaker 2: a four percent increase from last year. Let's see top
- 31:58Speaker 2: periods for beers. Number one for the July, number two
- 32:03Speaker 2: Memorial Day, and number three Labor Day. Let's see what
- 32:09Speaker 2: else do we got here? Two billion dollars sales of
- 32:11Speaker 2: meat for Memorial Day. Ninety two running races are held
- 32:15Speaker 2: on Memorial Day. One hundred million plus households worldwide will
- 32:20Speaker 2: watch the National Memorial Day Parade broadcast on TV. Twenty
- 32:26Speaker 2: four marching bands will perform in the parade. One thousand
- 32:30Speaker 2: active duty members will participate in the parade. Each year.
- 32:35Speaker 2: Memorial Day weekend travel Forty five point one million Americans
- 32:39Speaker 2: plan to travel over Memorial Day weekend, a three percent
- 32:42Speaker 2: increase over twenty twenty four and breaking the two thousand
- 32:45Speaker 2: and five record of forty four million travelers. Thirty nine
- 32:49Speaker 2: point four million of Memorial Day weekend travelers will drive
- 32:53Speaker 2: to their destination, as a three percent increase from last year.
- 32:57Speaker 2: So it seems like people are travel more, which is good.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Gas prices nationally they're down, depends on your state and
- 33:06Speaker 2: my state they're really not, but some states are down
- 33:09Speaker 2: to under three a gallon. But don't believe what they say.
- 33:13Speaker 2: The national average right now is like three dollars and
- 33:16Speaker 2: three nineteen a gallon. Not somebody said, I think it
- 33:19Speaker 2: was Trump or a couple of people said that it
- 33:21Speaker 2: was like like two dollars or less or whatever. Lies
- 33:25Speaker 2: lies lies. Ninety five percent of companies will close their
- 33:29Speaker 2: offices on Memorial Day. My wife' says one of them.
- 33:32Speaker 2: My work. I will be their Monday night working time
- 33:35Speaker 2: and a half and I get extra eight hours of
- 33:37Speaker 2: holiday pace, so it kind of works. I don't mind
- 33:41Speaker 2: three point two million or three point two per gallon
- 33:45Speaker 2: and twenty twenty five down for fourteen percent from twenty
- 33:49Speaker 2: twenty four three point seven a gallon, So like I said,
- 33:52Speaker 2: it's like three to twenty a gallon right now. Forty
- 33:56Speaker 2: six percent of Americans will plan a summer trip this year.
- 34:00Speaker 2: We have ours ready to go in August. Number one, Orlando, Florida,
- 34:04Speaker 2: is the most popular domestic destination for Memorial Day weekend travel.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Number one for departures is Orlando, two is Seattle, and
- 34:12Speaker 2: three is New York. Thirty nine percent of major roads
- 34:16Speaker 2: in the US are in poorer mediocre condition. That's true.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Sixty of Americans planned to shop at grocery stores on
- 34:25Speaker 2: Memorial Day. Sixty six percent of Americans plan to spend
- 34:30Speaker 2: less than one hundred dollars over a Memorial Day weekend
- 34:32Speaker 2: this year. Let's see fifteen special discounts are available to
- 34:38Speaker 2: veterans a military personnel. Those include Academy campsp Camp Chef,
- 34:44Speaker 2: Mattress Firm, Walgreens, Columbia Sportswear, Casper, Lowe's under Armour, Bass Pro,
- 34:51Speaker 2: and the Home Depot. Let's see fourteen days duration of
- 34:57Speaker 2: nationwide seatbelt campaign May twentieth to June. Second click it
- 35:01Speaker 2: or ticket. Twenty five percent more home cooking fires happen
- 35:06Speaker 2: on Memorial Day than average. One hundred and eighty four
- 35:10Speaker 2: million plus estimated value of items lost over Memorial Day weekend.
- 35:15Speaker 2: One hundred and fifty lives could be saved over a
- 35:18Speaker 2: Memorial Day weekend if people wore their seatbelt. Let's see
- 35:22Speaker 2: forty seven seven hundred estimated number of injuries from car
- 35:26Speaker 2: accidents each Memorial Day weekend. Four hundred and eighteen average
- 35:31Speaker 2: number of fatalities from Memorial Day weekend traffic accidents each year,
- 35:37Speaker 2: and forty three percent. Remember this one when you're out
- 35:40Speaker 2: partying all weekend. Forty three percent of all traffic fatalities
- 35:44Speaker 2: that occur over Memorial Day weekend are alcohol related. So
- 35:48Speaker 2: make sure that if you drink, you don't drive home.
- 35:52Speaker 2: Make sure you have a DD, or make sure that
- 35:54Speaker 2: you call an uber. It is cheaper to save the
- 35:58Speaker 2: money for an uber than to try to fight a dui.
- 36:03Speaker 2: One of my friends had DUIs. It was like five
- 36:06Speaker 2: thousand dollars between court costs and lawyer fees and all
- 36:11Speaker 2: that stuff for him to try to fight a dui
- 36:14Speaker 2: and he didn't even win. So make sure just go
- 36:20Speaker 2: just get a DD or go and get an uber.
- 36:24Speaker 2: Like literally, if you're close to home, it'll cost you
- 36:27Speaker 2: less than twenty bucks for an uber. What's better an
- 36:30Speaker 2: uber and spending twenty dollars or possibly dying or hurting
- 36:37Speaker 2: somebody else. Think about it. All right, I found this
- 36:41Speaker 2: fun thing. I'm going to talk about it really quick
- 36:43Speaker 2: before we go into our last two parts of this.
- 36:46Speaker 2: So hold on one second. Let's find out from year
- 36:52Speaker 2: nineteen fifty all the way up until I'm guessing last
- 36:57Speaker 2: year because they want to know this here yet what
- 37:00Speaker 2: the fad toy is. But let's find out what the
- 37:04Speaker 2: fad toy was for the year that you were born.
- 37:07Speaker 2: So this goes from nineteen fifty and up. This was
- 37:11Speaker 2: in Cosmopolitan. So nineteen fifty was little People. I used
- 37:15Speaker 2: to play with little people. They're still around. That's still
- 37:18Speaker 2: a thing. Nineteen fifty one was the magic eight ball.
- 37:22Speaker 2: I used to love the magic eight ball, shaking it,
- 37:24Speaker 2: asking in a question and it would give you an
- 37:26Speaker 2: answer and you would be like, yes, that is it.
- 37:32Speaker 2: I'm going base out what the magic eight ball tells me.
- 37:36Speaker 2: All right, let's go to nineteen fifty two, the slinky.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Everybody had a slinky. Let's see. Nineteen fifty three was
- 37:43Speaker 2: matchbox cars, still popular today. Nineteen fifty four was Candyland.
- 37:49Speaker 2: That was the game in nineteen fifty four, family sat
- 37:53Speaker 2: down and played a game of candy Land. I used
- 37:55Speaker 2: to love that game. I still do. Nineteen fifty five
- 37:59Speaker 2: color Forms because before color TV there were color forms.
- 38:04Speaker 2: This toy was like a coloring book with training wheels,
- 38:07Speaker 2: using peel on vinyl stickers to help you stay inside
- 38:10Speaker 2: the lines. Nineteen fifty six. One of my favorites. Mister
- 38:15Speaker 2: Potato Head and everybody loved Mister Potato nineteen fifty seven.
- 38:19Speaker 2: One of my favorites growing up. Plato nineteen fifty eight.
- 38:24Speaker 2: The Viewmaster put the little slide in there. Click it
- 38:27Speaker 2: around and you can look at the different slides. That
- 38:31Speaker 2: was awesome. Let's see nineteen fifty nine was Barbie. That
- 38:36Speaker 2: was when she became really popular. Let's see nineteen sixty
- 38:40Speaker 2: was Silly Putty. Nineteen sixty one was Ken, so two
- 38:45Speaker 2: years later Ken came around. Nineteen sixty two. One of
- 38:50Speaker 2: my favorites. Etch a Sketch And it's funny because these
- 38:53Speaker 2: are all toys that I played with when I was
- 38:57Speaker 2: growing up in the eighties and the nineties, so that's great.
- 39:00Speaker 2: Nineteen sixty three the Easy Bake Oven. If you were
- 39:04Speaker 2: born in nineteen sixty four, it was the Beatles Flip
- 39:07Speaker 2: Your Wig game. Never even heard of that, but sounds cool.
- 39:11Speaker 2: Nineteen sixty five was the Chatty Kathy Doll. Nineteen sixty
- 39:17Speaker 2: six the Spiral Graph. Those things were fun. Those were
- 39:21Speaker 2: really fun. Nineteen sixty seven Rock'm sock 'em Robots, still
- 39:27Speaker 2: a favorite to this day. Knock him right on his ass,
- 39:32Speaker 2: Let's see. In nineteen sixty eight Monopoly. That was one
- 39:39Speaker 2: of my favorite games. It was a long ass game,
- 39:41Speaker 2: but it was fun. Let's see. Nineteen sixty nine Mouse Tramp.
- 39:49Speaker 2: That was a fun game. Nineteen seventy was Gi Joe.
- 39:52Speaker 2: That was my thing. We're getting close to my wife's birthday.
- 39:56Speaker 2: Nineteen seventy one Weebles. We will LL's wobble what they
- 40:01Speaker 2: Won't fall Down. Nineteen seventy two was Boggle. Used to
- 40:04Speaker 2: love that game. Nineteen seventy three the NERF Gun. That
- 40:09Speaker 2: was its big year. It did four hundred million dollars
- 40:13Speaker 2: a year in revenue. That's crazy crazy, The think About.
- 40:17Speaker 2: Nineteen seventy four was Connect four, one of my favorite games.
- 40:22Speaker 2: Nineteen seventy five, the year my wife was born, The
- 40:25Speaker 2: pet Rock was the Fan not a Shocker. Nineteen seventy six,
- 40:31Speaker 2: we got the skateboard for the first time. Nineteen seventy seven,
- 40:36Speaker 2: Atari twenty six hundred, and it's funny because I own
- 40:39Speaker 2: one of those nineteen seventy eight Hungry Hungry Hippos. Everybody
- 40:44Speaker 2: loved that game back then. Nineteen seventy nine was Baby
- 40:47Speaker 2: Alive Doll. That was a fun one for kids. My
- 40:51Speaker 2: year I was born. The big fad, the Rubik's Cube.
- 40:56Speaker 2: I don't know anybody that ever solved it. Let's see
- 40:59Speaker 2: nineteen eighty one, Strawberry Shortcake. Nineteen eighty two was the
- 41:05Speaker 2: glow Worm. I remember the glow Worm. Nineteen eighty three
- 41:09Speaker 2: was the Cabbage Patch Kids. That was a popular one.

- 41:28Speaker 2: and on nineteen eighty seven I had one of these
- 41:31Speaker 2: Teddy rucksmin one of my favorites. Nineteen eighty eight, of
- 41:35Speaker 2: course I had one. Eventually, the Nintendo Entertainment system, and
- 41:42Speaker 2: remember Atari and Sego were Atari's was there out first,
- 41:45Speaker 2: but I mean, honestly, Nintendo was where it was at

- 43:11Speaker 2: and two was the fur Real Friends didn't have that.
- 43:17Speaker 2: Two thousand and three, but by this point I was
- 43:18Speaker 2: in my twenties, was Dance Dance Revolution. I did play
- 43:22Speaker 2: a lot of that with Friends. Two thousand and four
- 43:24Speaker 2: was Robosapiens. Let's see two thousand and five Guitar Hero.
- 43:30Speaker 2: I had that. Let's see two thousand and six Nintendo Wei.
- 43:36Speaker 2: I had one of those eventually. Two thousand and seven Webkins.
- 43:42Speaker 2: Two thousand and eight was Butkuckin but Gugen looks like
- 43:48Speaker 2: something anime? Oh yeah, Pokemon. Two thousand and nine was
- 43:52Speaker 2: Zuzu Pets. Twenty ten was Silly Bands. Was La La
- 44:00Speaker 2: Loopsie silly hired dolls. Most likely, if you were born
- 44:07Speaker 2: in two thousand and ten and later, you're probably not
- 44:10Speaker 2: listening to my show right now, But if you have
- 44:13Speaker 2: kids that were born in these years, you probably know
- 44:15Speaker 2: what I'm talking about. Twenty twelve Skylanders, twenty thirteen was
- 44:21Speaker 2: Rainbow Loom, the Elsa doll. In twenty fourteen, these are
- 44:27Speaker 2: things that my daughter had. Twenty fifteen was Shopkins. That
- 44:33Speaker 2: was the year my son was born. Twenty sixteen, Hetchemles,
- 44:39Speaker 2: twenty seventeen fidget spinners. Oh my god, both my kids
- 44:43Speaker 2: had tons of fidget spinners at the time. Twenty eighteen, Lol,
- 44:47Speaker 2: Surprise Dollars. My kids love those. Twenty nineteen was Baby
- 44:51Speaker 2: Shark Do Do Doo, twenty twenty was Baby Yoda, twenty
- 44:58Speaker 2: twenty one was Magic Mixes, twenty twenty two was Squishmellows.
- 45:03Speaker 2: Oh my god, I still buy them for my granddaughter.
- 45:06Speaker 2: I still buy them for my kids. They love those
- 45:08Speaker 2: things to twenty twenty three was Barbie because of the
- 45:15Speaker 2: movie that came out, Barbie the movie, and that's it.
- 45:19Speaker 2: It just goes up to twenty twenty three. So yeah,
- 45:22Speaker 2: those were the big things that were coming out, either
- 45:25Speaker 2: when you were born, a spouse was born, your kids
- 45:29Speaker 2: were born. So yeah, definitely, I'm sure you had a
- 45:33Speaker 2: lot of those as kids. Right, So let's go into
- 45:37Speaker 2: things that you could do around the Chicago Land area
- 45:39Speaker 2: this weekend. Oh no, well, let's do movies first. Oh
- 45:44Speaker 2: last weekend we had a baby shower or no, we
- 45:49Speaker 2: had a wedding shower for my daughter Sam and we
- 45:56Speaker 2: were they the girls all did it. I just took
- 45:59Speaker 2: them there, and then I took my son and grandson
- 46:03Speaker 2: go see the new movie Thunderbolts. Pretty decent movie, Pretty decent.
- 46:13Speaker 2: I wasn't sure how it was gonna be from the previews,
- 46:16Speaker 2: but I was excited when I saw it. I was
- 46:19Speaker 2: really thought it was a good movie. So definitely check
- 46:22Speaker 2: that movie out if you have time. Let's see where
- 46:25Speaker 2: it did and where it ranked in the Let's see.
- 46:29Speaker 2: Hold on, let me go to my box office stuff.
- 46:35Speaker 2: There is a bumblebee outside of my garage and I
- 46:40Speaker 2: can hear it. That's not a loud the name thing
- 46:42Speaker 2: is alright. Let me see one thing I gotta throw
- 46:51Speaker 2: in here really quick. The NFL free agency, and we're
- 46:56Speaker 2: gonna talk about that next week. We're gonna look at
- 46:58Speaker 2: the list of the NFL free agents were still available.
- 47:02Speaker 2: Keenan Allen has not been picked up by anybody yet.
- 47:05Speaker 2: That is crazy. The Chargers haven't taken them yet. The
- 47:08Speaker 2: Bears aren't going to take them back. That's crazy, all right.
- 47:12Speaker 2: So top box office movies, everybody knows what the big
- 47:15Speaker 2: movie was last week coming out, so we'll see where
- 47:18Speaker 2: it fell, all right. So number ten was the amateur
- 47:22Speaker 2: that raandmy Mallock movie is still making money seven hundred
- 47:26Speaker 2: and twenty five thousand last weekend forty total gross in
- 47:29Speaker 2: six weeks until dawn at number nine, weekend gross of
- 47:34Speaker 2: eight hundred and eleven thousand, twenty million total gross in
- 47:37Speaker 2: four weeks. Number eight was Clown in the Cornfield. It
- 47:42Speaker 2: did one point four million at the box office total
- 47:45Speaker 2: gross of six point four million in two weeks out.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Not really that great friendship weekend gross of one point
- 47:54Speaker 2: four million, total gross of two million in two weeks out.
- 48:00Speaker 2: Hurry up tomorrow with a weekend gross of three point
- 48:03Speaker 2: three million, total gross of four million in its first week.
- 48:09Speaker 2: Let's see, and number five was The Accountant two four
- 48:17Speaker 2: point eight million total gross of sixty one million in
- 48:19Speaker 2: four weeks. Number four still coming in in the top
- 48:26Speaker 2: five the Minecraft movie, even though it is available now
- 48:29Speaker 2: to watch and stream at home. Six million at the
- 48:33Speaker 2: box office last weekend four hundred and eighteen million in
- 48:37Speaker 2: seven weeks. Sinners fifteen million weekend gross last week two
- 48:44Speaker 2: hundred and forty six million in five weeks. Let's see
- 48:47Speaker 2: Thunderbolts Number two. I was there, bought three tickets for
- 48:52Speaker 2: that one seventeen million last weekend one hundred and sixty
- 48:55Speaker 2: one million total gross in three weeks out, and then,
- 48:58Speaker 2: of course the number one movie. Don't think anybody thought
- 49:02Speaker 2: this wouldn't be Final destination. Blood Lines did fifty two
- 49:07Speaker 2: million weekend gross sixty seven million total gross in its
- 49:11Speaker 2: first week out. I can't wait to see that. I'm
- 49:14Speaker 2: gonna watch it when it comes on streaming and see it.
- 49:17Speaker 2: Then that's pretty crazy. Let's see, are there any movies
- 49:20Speaker 2: this weekend? Oh yeah, there's Mission Impossible. We'll give Bloodlines
- 49:27Speaker 2: a run for its money. Mission Impossible eight the last one.
- 49:31Speaker 2: Tom Cruise is gonna hang up his running shoes and
- 49:36Speaker 2: he did all his stunts for this movie again at
- 49:38Speaker 2: the age of what he's gotta be in his like sixties, right,
- 49:42Speaker 2: How old is Tom Cruise? Let me see, let's look
- 49:44Speaker 2: really quick. I know Dean Richards gave it a Deed's
- 49:50Speaker 2: List A, which is big. How old is Tom Cruise?
- 50:00Speaker 2: Sixty two? And he did his own stunts for Mission
- 50:03Speaker 2: Impossible eight? Crazy, But that's his last one. He's officially
- 50:07Speaker 2: retiring from the Mission Impossible movies, so we'll see what
- 50:11Speaker 2: happens there. But yeah, so that's gonna give all those
- 50:16Speaker 2: movies a run for their money. I think that like
- 50:19Speaker 2: movies like that, Remy Mallick one might follow out the
- 50:21Speaker 2: top ten this week. With Mission Impossible coming out. Minecraft
- 50:25Speaker 2: will probably still do decent. Blood Lines will do decent.
- 50:30Speaker 2: The Final Destination, you know, all those movies. The Accountants
- 50:34Speaker 2: still big, Minecraft movies still big. Thunderbolts is still big,
- 50:39Speaker 2: so I think all of them will give him a run.
- 50:41Speaker 2: And don't forget, it's a long weekend for some people.
- 50:44Speaker 2: Some people are off today, Tomorrow, Saturday, Sunday or I'm sorry,
- 50:50Speaker 2: tomorrow is Saturday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. A lot
- 50:53Speaker 2: of people take four day weekends, So there you go,
- 50:56Speaker 2: so we'll see what happens. Alright, Finally, let's talk about
- 51:00Speaker 2: what we can do this weekend if you have nothing
- 51:03Speaker 2: to do, So, if you don't have any major plans
- 51:06Speaker 2: or any major cookouts all weekend, let's see if we
- 51:10Speaker 2: can find you something to do besides going to see
- 51:18Speaker 2: a movie. But hey, it's a lot of good movies
- 51:20Speaker 2: you can go see right now in the theater if
- 51:25Speaker 2: you don't want to be outside of It's supposed to
- 51:27Speaker 2: be a nice weekend though, so definitely try to get out,
- 51:32Speaker 2: all right, So best things to do. There's never a
- 51:35Speaker 2: ton of good stuff to do like on this list,
- 51:39Speaker 2: like they say there is, but it's always the same
- 51:41Speaker 2: stuff every week. So I'm gonna look art on the
- 51:44Speaker 2: mart Titanic, the musical, and this is all the same stuff.
- 51:52Speaker 2: Oh shaky like Shakira the Sinos Festival pregame it says,
- 51:58Speaker 2: going to such no music festival, make time out market
- 52:02Speaker 2: your pregame destination for our Shakira Day party on Saturday,
- 52:07Speaker 2: complete with a free shuttle bus to the festival from
- 52:09Speaker 2: three to seven pm. Not bad, that's new. Bengo Loco
- 52:16Speaker 2: still sounds fun. Drunk Shakespeare Chicago, that sounds fun. Three
- 52:21Speaker 2: sixty Sky Yoga in Streeterville, the Infinite Wrench, paper Machete,
- 52:34Speaker 2: and I think that's it. You know, there are a
- 52:37Speaker 2: lot of fests going on this weekend, though you can
- 52:39Speaker 2: do that, all right. So next week we are gonna
- 52:41Speaker 2: talk about let's see, we'll talk about Saturday It's made event.
- 52:44Speaker 2: We're gonna talk about NFL free agents who are still available.
- 52:48Speaker 2: We're gonna talk about Lollapalooza. Did we talk about that
- 52:55Speaker 2: last week? I know we talked about Riotfest? Or do
- 52:59Speaker 2: we talk while I'll please off to listen back and
- 53:01Speaker 2: see what exactly we talked about on there. But yeah,
- 53:04Speaker 2: we'll talk about the other one next week, whichever one
- 53:08Speaker 2: I didn't talk about. And then of course we'll talk
- 53:10Speaker 2: about a lot of other fun stuff like fests in
- 53:14Speaker 2: June that you can go to every month. I'm gonna
- 53:17Speaker 2: talk about the next fest coming up, so and I
- 53:20Speaker 2: talked about May. Now I'll talk about the end of
- 53:23Speaker 2: May and June, you know, for the whole month, and
- 53:26Speaker 2: then at the end of June July. Also next week
- 53:29Speaker 2: we'll talk about what's coming and going from you know,
- 53:32Speaker 2: Netflix and a couple other big streaming services. So we'll
- 53:35Speaker 2: have fun next week talking about that stuff. Until then, everybody,
- 53:40Speaker 2: definitely stay safe this weekend. It's a holiday weekend. I
- 53:43Speaker 2: want you guys all back here with me next Thursday
- 53:45Speaker 2: or Friday, whichever day day I do my show. Go
- 53:49Speaker 2: out there, have some fun this weekend. Drink some beers,
- 53:52Speaker 2: eat some hot dogs and burgers. But remember why you're
- 53:55Speaker 2: celebrating this weekend. You're celebrating for the soldiers who pay
- 54:00Speaker 2: asked away trying to keep this country free. So remember
- 54:04Speaker 2: that this whole weekend, and remember that before you get
- 54:08Speaker 2: into a car and drive when you're feeling drunk. If
- 54:10Speaker 2: you're feeling a little tipsy and you're feeling not good,
- 54:13Speaker 2: call an uber. You can go pick a car up
- 54:15Speaker 2: the next day. Most places, if you tell them, hey,
- 54:19Speaker 2: I drink too much, I need to take an uber home.
- 54:21Speaker 2: I can't drive my car home, a lot of places
- 54:24Speaker 2: will let you keep your car there, especially if you
- 54:26Speaker 2: call the police department and say, hey, look, I'm drunk,
- 54:30Speaker 2: I need to leave my car here and get a
- 54:34Speaker 2: ride home. They're not going to tell you no, and
- 54:39Speaker 2: they'll probably watch your car for you to make sure
- 54:40Speaker 2: it's okay. Most likely they won't tow it because you're
- 54:45Speaker 2: doing the right thing. You're saving them to have to
- 54:48Speaker 2: come and peel you off the street or some pedestrian
- 54:52Speaker 2: off the street that you might have ran over. So
- 54:55Speaker 2: please make sure this weekend click it or ticket, don't
- 55:00Speaker 2: drive drunk, have a good time, stay safe, stay healthy,
- 55:04Speaker 2: and I'll see everybody next week. Happy Memorial Day to
- 55:08Speaker 2: all the people that sacrifice for us. I lost their
- 55:12Speaker 2: lives keeping us free. We love you all. Thank you,
- 55:16Speaker 2: and thanks to the family that had to make the
- 55:19Speaker 2: ultimate sacrifice with you. Thank you so much. I'll see
- 55:24Speaker 2: everybody later. I love you all, peace
- 56:27Speaker 7: And comp
