- 0:13Speaker 1: Hey, everybody, welcome to Pink Shade. It is pop and
- 0:16Speaker 1: Bravo Thursday. It's Thursday. You guys have a special treat
- 0:20Speaker 1: for you today. Are you guys fans of ninety sitcoms?
- 0:24Speaker 1: I am, even though I was maybe too old for it,
- 0:27Speaker 1: but I have Christy Laken, is Stacy Keenan today that
- 0:31Speaker 1: you're the child stars of step by Step. They have
- 0:33Speaker 1: a podcast called Keenan and Lake and give You de
- 0:36Speaker 1: Ja Vous where they recap step by Step, which is
- 0:38Speaker 1: a great idea. I'm loving these recap shows that we're
- 0:41Speaker 1: getting lately, So welcome Christine and Stacy.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, Mary Pain, thank you so much for
- 0:48Speaker 2: having us. I am if you knew what a huge
- 0:50Speaker 2: and longtime fan I am of yours. I was just thinking,
- 0:54Speaker 2: I've been listening for so long. I don't know if
- 0:56Speaker 2: I can say I'm a Day one bunkie, but I
- 0:58Speaker 2: was listening back when you had that, said Mary Payne
- 1:02Speaker 2: in the streets Aaron and the Sheeks. I think they
- 1:04Speaker 2: were flip flops and one said one and the one
- 1:07Speaker 2: said the other, which I thought.
- 1:08Speaker 3: I love that Merched, I love it so funny.
- 1:12Speaker 1: That is so nice. Now listen, I when you reached
- 1:15Speaker 1: out to me, and I've told this on the show.
- 1:17Speaker 1: You came at me with an alias that went into
- 1:20Speaker 1: the folder that comes in where like the people are
- 1:23Speaker 1: trying to offer you sex work like that's amazing, yes,
- 1:27Speaker 1: and I go okay, And then you explained who you were,
- 1:29Speaker 1: and I was like, okay, why are you so undercover?
- 1:33Speaker 1: Because look, Christine's here right and she's got her full
- 1:36Speaker 1: Instagram name loud and proud.
- 1:40Speaker 2: I don't know how to do Instagram. I think you're
- 1:42Speaker 2: the first person that I ever DMD And I felt
- 1:44Speaker 2: like I was going to get arrested, like I don't
- 1:46Speaker 2: really know how.
- 1:47Speaker 3: To do it.
- 1:47Speaker 2: I didn't know what was going to happen. I don't
- 1:49Speaker 2: know what you're seeing on your end. So I just
- 1:51Speaker 2: but I had to take a shot because I'm just
- 1:53Speaker 2: such a big fan.
- 1:54Speaker 1: That is so funny. Well, it did go into my
- 1:59Speaker 1: porn folder, and usually I just go through it and
- 2:01Speaker 1: click them all and hit delete. But I was like, well,
- 2:04Speaker 1: and then I read the first line. I was like, Okay,
- 2:05Speaker 1: this person used my name, so they must not be
- 2:08Speaker 1: trying to sell me sex services. So well, I'm glad
- 2:12Speaker 1: I did. Yes, I'm glad I did it, and I.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Know it's Mary Payne. Of course, not Mary. I get
- 2:16Speaker 2: so mad, like all the other listeners, when anyone calls
- 2:18Speaker 2: you Mary on the show, I'm outraged.
- 2:21Speaker 1: I appreciate the outrage on my behalf. I really do.
- 2:25Speaker 1: I really did. I really do, because when it's so
- 2:27Speaker 1: funny when I go to Mississippi, I don't get it.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I just say Mary Pain and people say Mary Payne.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I just met a guy here I'm in at Baldhead
- 2:36Speaker 1: right now, and I said, you know, I'm Mary pay
- 2:38Speaker 1: blah blah blah, and he goes, oh, Mary Pain, it's
- 2:40Speaker 1: so nice to meet you. He just immediately said it.
- 2:42Speaker 1: And then he said I was talking about my son
- 2:44Speaker 1: who goes to Ole, miss He goes, oh, my cousin
- 2:47Speaker 1: or so and so goes there. Her name is Mary Payton.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And I was like, of course it is so because,
- 2:53Speaker 1: like I said, my best friend growing up I was
- 2:54Speaker 1: Mary Preston. So I was like, yeah, okay, I get it.
- 2:57Speaker 1: I get it. So yeah, listen, don't be outraged my behalf.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Sometimes people they're a little Yankee and they just can't
- 3:02Speaker 1: get it. And even if I explain it, they still
- 3:04Speaker 1: can't get it. And that's okay, that's okay.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Well, Christina is from Georgia. She gets it also.
- 3:10Speaker 4: So totally get it. I knew many a friend that
- 3:14Speaker 4: had a double name. You know, Mary Grace was a
- 3:16Speaker 4: big one. Mary Grace from very Gray. That's a good one. Yeah.
- 3:20Speaker 1: When you put that last name as the middle, that's
- 3:23Speaker 1: when it gets a little murky with people. They get
- 3:25Speaker 1: a little confused, and I just have to explain. It's
- 3:29Speaker 1: like Ellie May Billy Bob. I make it sound real
- 3:31Speaker 1: country and then they get it. Okay. So I want
- 3:36Speaker 1: to hear the history of you two and your friendship.
- 3:38Speaker 1: So you were on this show. Now, how old were
- 3:41Speaker 1: you when you were on Step by Step?
- 3:44Speaker 4: I started when I was twelve, Okay.
- 3:48Speaker 2: I was I think fifteen when we did the pilot
- 3:50Speaker 2: in sixteen when the show started.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Oh okay, so I didn't realize. I guess, were you
- 3:56Speaker 1: playing fifteen and twelve? Yeah?
- 4:00Speaker 4: Pretty much? Yeah, so it was like.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Seven and nine or anything like that.
- 4:04Speaker 4: No, although I usually always played younger because I've just
- 4:09Speaker 4: been very small and short my whole life. So but
- 4:13Speaker 4: I very even if I wasn't exactly twelve, like I
- 4:16Speaker 4: looked pretty tiny in that pilot I might have been
- 4:19Speaker 4: playing ten. Eventually I kind of caught up to my
- 4:21Speaker 4: own age, I feel, yeah, yeah, But in the beginning,
- 4:25Speaker 4: you know, Stacy, she was already a teenager. That's a
- 4:28Speaker 4: big difference when you're twelve and sixteen. Yeah, but I
- 4:31Speaker 4: of course looked up to her. I had watched My
- 4:33Speaker 4: Two Dads. I was such a fan of Step by Step,
- 4:37Speaker 4: I mean, of TGIF and all of it, and so
- 4:41Speaker 4: getting on the show. I had been working in Atlanta
- 4:44Speaker 4: as a as a child actor, and that was just
- 4:46Speaker 4: I mean, it was a huge, huge experience and really
- 4:50Speaker 4: really fun.
- 4:51Speaker 1: And you just like moved to la and you're like,
- 4:53Speaker 1: now I'm a star.
- 4:55Speaker 4: Not really, I mean, we stayed in Atlanta, I came out,
- 4:58Speaker 4: I auditioned, and we didn't really think any thing was
- 5:00Speaker 4: going to come from it. It was more of just
- 5:01Speaker 4: like the experience and the fun. And then when I
- 5:04Speaker 4: got the show and then the show went, it was
- 5:06Speaker 4: definitely like, oh God, Okay, well what do we do now?
- 5:10Speaker 4: But yeah, someone tells you, like, it may not go,
- 5:13Speaker 4: it may not go more than a year, don't uproot
- 5:15Speaker 4: your life. So my mom and I came out and
- 5:17Speaker 4: we just rented in an apartment rented everything, lived in
- 5:20Speaker 4: corporate housing, and I still went back to my school
- 5:23Speaker 4: in Atlanta and thought, pretty much, that's kind of what
- 5:26Speaker 4: we did for the next seven years.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Oh really, And so what about you, Stacey, What was
- 5:32Speaker 1: your story with getting on the show, and did you
- 5:34Speaker 1: do the same thing or did you play at roots
- 5:37Speaker 1: or were you already in La No.
- 5:39Speaker 3: I started acting when I was four.
- 5:42Speaker 2: That was back in Philadelphia, and then we were just
- 5:45Speaker 2: doing local stuff, commercials and Grant my sister.
- 5:47Speaker 3: And I, and then we got an agent in New York.
- 5:50Speaker 2: We started taking the train up to New York two
- 5:53Speaker 2: times a week, three times a week, four times a week,
- 5:55Speaker 2: until we finally just moved to New York, my mom
- 5:57Speaker 2: and my sister and I and then I, my sister
- 5:59Speaker 2: and I just did a ton of.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Work in New York.
- 6:02Speaker 2: We did voiceover, we did jingles, we did theater, we
- 6:05Speaker 2: did television, we did everything. But then the good stuff
- 6:08Speaker 2: was always happening in La. The good parts were always
- 6:11Speaker 2: going to the kid in La.
- 6:12Speaker 3: So we came out.
- 6:14Speaker 2: For pilot season, but really we had already decided that
- 6:16Speaker 2: we were moving there. So we came out for pilot season,
- 6:19Speaker 2: and that pilot season, I booked my two dads and
- 6:21Speaker 2: then I did. My two dads did another show for
- 6:24Speaker 2: the same producers that produced Steff by Step, another show
- 6:29Speaker 2: right after my two dads ended. That only lasted for
- 6:31Speaker 2: a year before that got canceled. And then they offered
- 6:34Speaker 2: me the part on Step by Steff, which I think
- 6:36Speaker 2: is maybe the only time I've ever been offered.
- 6:38Speaker 1: The part that is wild. So I'm interested in the
- 6:44Speaker 1: whole thing. Because of course, I'm sure lots of people
- 6:46Speaker 1: have asked you about Quiet on the set the documentary
- 6:49Speaker 1: that came out, and so were you guys, maybe at
- 6:53Speaker 1: least Dacy, maybe you were like, well, I don't know,
- 6:57Speaker 1: because you were on TV before that, what was your
- 6:59Speaker 1: experience with that? Did you watch it and did you
- 7:01Speaker 1: feel that that represented your experience as like a child star?
- 7:07Speaker 3: For me, it didn't in terms of Step by Step.
- 7:10Speaker 2: You know, we've on our podcast, we've talked a lot
- 7:12Speaker 2: about that experience. It was such a really it actually
- 7:16Speaker 2: was a family environment.
- 7:18Speaker 3: You know, people say that a lot about their show.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Our show really was truly like that. It was just
- 7:23Speaker 3: the nicest people the.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Top down, you know, including Patrick Duffie and Susanne Summers
- 7:29Speaker 2: and just everyone involved, so I didn't have that experience
- 7:33Speaker 2: on Step by Step in other industry experiences, the documentary
- 7:39Speaker 2: definitely rang true to me. I definitely recognized, you know,
- 7:43Speaker 2: there's just something about being a kid in the industry
- 7:45Speaker 2: that attracts certain creepy people, whether it's a photographer or
- 7:50Speaker 2: whoever it is. That element felt unfortunately familiar to me,
- 7:56Speaker 2: but not from Step by Step.
- 7:58Speaker 1: And how about you, Christine, did you feel that you
- 8:00Speaker 1: had dealt with some creepy people as well?
- 8:03Speaker 4: You know, step by Step was really my first big,
- 8:06Speaker 4: big job, and everything else I had done from that
- 8:09Speaker 4: point prior was in Atlanta and was really like a
- 8:13Speaker 4: commercial here and a commercial there. I mean, I had
- 8:15Speaker 4: a very idyllic experience as a kid. As I got
- 8:19Speaker 4: into my twenties and I continued acting, Yeah, there were
- 8:23Speaker 4: all kinds of stories like, you know, this director wants
- 8:27Speaker 4: to see you for this part, but he's staying at
- 8:29Speaker 4: the Chateau Marmont and You're going to have your audition
- 8:31Speaker 4: in his hotel room. And I'm like that's not normal.
- 8:34Speaker 1: And You're like, no, sir, mister Weinstein, No, sir, don't
- 8:38Speaker 1: think I'm going there.
- 8:39Speaker 4: But okay, you know, just and I think more than that.
- 8:42Speaker 4: Even it's just like the expectation that you would almost
- 8:48Speaker 4: forego any kind of rational thought in order to get
- 8:52Speaker 4: a job. And I feel like so many times that
- 8:56Speaker 4: that experience of if you worked in a bank, would
- 8:59Speaker 4: this be the thing you would do to go and
- 9:00Speaker 4: interview for this job? No, of course not would you
- 9:03Speaker 4: be asked to do these things, you know, behind closed doors.
- 9:06Speaker 4: But this is how what everybody else is doing to
- 9:08Speaker 4: get this job. And I think that like a lot
- 9:12Speaker 4: of times, those expectations of what the industry, you know,
- 9:15Speaker 4: this is what they demand of you to know that
- 9:17Speaker 4: you're right for the part. Just it almost I feel
- 9:20Speaker 4: like it almost a lot of young women, especially just
- 9:24Speaker 4: let all their inhibitions and actually rational thinking go by
- 9:28Speaker 4: the wayside. And there was not a lot of people
- 9:31Speaker 4: to protect you at that time. People weren't talking about
- 9:34Speaker 4: things the way they talk about it now. People definitely
- 9:38Speaker 4: you know, agents, managers, like you were really on your own,
- 9:43Speaker 4: so no one was walking you into the room. It's
- 9:45Speaker 4: not like you were a kid and your parent was
- 9:47Speaker 4: with you at the audition.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Weird can you think of that now? Though you think
- 9:52Speaker 1: about like a like a twelve year old, you would
- 9:54Speaker 1: you if it was your twelve year old, you were
- 9:56Speaker 1: like constantly with them. But it does seem like, especially
- 9:59Speaker 1: from the documentary and hearing you guys talk about it,
- 10:01Speaker 1: it was just sort of like go and do it.
- 10:04Speaker 1: It just seems like things are so different now, and
- 10:06Speaker 1: maybe it's not. Maybe it's exactly the same, and that
- 10:08Speaker 1: it's just more hidden. Like I have no idea, but
- 10:10Speaker 1: it seems like more and more of these things are
- 10:12Speaker 1: getting exposed, which can only be good for child actors
- 10:16Speaker 1: coming up, right, because so many of them you just
- 10:18Speaker 1: I mean look good like Lindsay Lohan who did pull
- 10:21Speaker 1: it together, But you have so many young people like
- 10:24Speaker 1: Britney Spears or Justin Bieber that had just grew up
- 10:29Speaker 1: too fast, I think, or had people really not looking
- 10:31Speaker 1: out for them, looking at them as like a money maker,
- 10:33Speaker 1: you know.
- 10:34Speaker 4: And I think it's twofold, right, so I think, yeah,
- 10:36Speaker 4: that stuff probably still goes on. I think it's more
- 10:39Speaker 4: exposed as now, but back then even now, like a
- 10:43Speaker 4: lot the other part of it, it depended on who
- 10:46Speaker 4: your parents were. Do they have the time and energy
- 10:48Speaker 4: to be with you and not be at a full
- 10:51Speaker 4: time job and just make their life your career. And
- 10:54Speaker 4: to what end, you know, is it because they're just
- 10:57Speaker 4: supporting you or is it because they suddenly see you
- 10:59Speaker 4: as the the ticket to you know, fame and fortune.
- 11:04Speaker 4: I mean, thinking of that is weird.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Did y'all read Jeanette McCarty's book.
- 11:09Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, it sounded trigering. I love I loved it.
- 11:14Speaker 2: It was heartbreaking, but I also I loved how at
- 11:18Speaker 2: truths ball I think she was about it.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Yeah, Jeanette mccurty, guys, if you don't know, wrote a
- 11:23Speaker 1: really great book called I'm Glad my Mom Died Yeah,
- 11:26Speaker 1: and which is like rough, but you know what, it
- 11:29Speaker 1: was really attention grabbing and it got a lot of press.
- 11:31Speaker 1: And then I am also like too old for the
- 11:37Speaker 1: shows that she.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Was on.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Cat and Kat and Nat, Cat and Nat. Is that
- 11:45Speaker 1: what it was? Because then she was on Ariana Grande
- 11:48Speaker 1: that was a spin off or Vice versa. But it
- 11:50Speaker 1: was all a Nickelodeon situation. And my kids were sort
- 11:53Speaker 1: of in that sweet spot of they were sort of
- 11:56Speaker 1: Dora the Explorer at that time, you know, so they
- 11:59Speaker 1: didn't quite watch those Nickelodeon shows, and I forbid them
- 12:02Speaker 1: to watch Hannah Montana for some reason. That was the
- 12:06Speaker 1: that was like, this is the hell I'm dying on.
- 12:07Speaker 1: You can't watch Hannah Montana, Yeah, because I thought they
- 12:11Speaker 1: were just too sassy to the parents. You know, it
- 12:14Speaker 1: didn't help they became sassy anyway. But but I think
- 12:18Speaker 1: it was in that time, so I didn't quite know
- 12:20Speaker 1: who she was. So I was coming at it from
- 12:22Speaker 1: just like she was a complete stranger to me in
- 12:25Speaker 1: that book. And that was a great book, great book.
- 12:28Speaker 1: That was a great book. So all right, well we'll
- 12:30Speaker 1: move off of that terrible subject. So your show step
- 12:34Speaker 1: by Step ran for seven seasons, like that's a long time.
- 12:37Speaker 4: It's a long time. Yeah, yeah, and now today's age.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, we really, we really grew up on that show.
- 12:45Speaker 3: And that's really what a.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Lot of our podcast is about, is talking about growing
- 12:50Speaker 2: up in the nineties in front of a camera on TV.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Mm hmm yeah yeah, now, okay, now tell me. I
- 12:57Speaker 1: was looking at the time frame and when step by
- 12:59Speaker 1: Step came out, it was literally right after Dallas ran
- 13:02Speaker 1: off the air and Patrick Duffy, who I saw was
- 13:05Speaker 1: on your show this past week or so. I mean
- 13:08Speaker 1: that was I was like, oh my god, Like, you know,
- 13:11Speaker 1: I was of the age where I thought he was
- 13:12Speaker 1: so hot. So he was coming right off the theme
- 13:15Speaker 1: of Dallas right into that show, and of course Susanne
- 13:17Speaker 1: Summers icon. I mean, how could it go wrong? I
- 13:24Speaker 1: mean with these two people on the show, right.
- 13:26Speaker 4: I mean, I think it was. Yeah, it was definitely.
- 13:31Speaker 4: It was definitely for those producers. You know, they were
- 13:33Speaker 4: no novices to television. Tom Miller and Bob Boyette were
- 13:37Speaker 4: TV giants already. They had done Happy Days, la Vernon,
- 13:41Speaker 4: Shirley Mork and Mindy all of basically almost every show
- 13:45Speaker 4: that ran on TGIF. So they really, you know, had
- 13:49Speaker 4: a knack, like a golden touch for putting casts together
- 13:54Speaker 4: and putting shows together. So I think getting Patrick Duffy,
- 13:57Speaker 4: who had been desperate to do comedy. Nobody knew him
- 14:00Speaker 4: as a comedy performer and nobody thought he could do comedy.
- 14:05Speaker 4: And I said, how did you get that role? Like
- 14:08Speaker 4: how did they know to? I mean, you're Patrick Duffy,
- 14:11Speaker 4: but you had never done a sitcom. He had them
- 14:14Speaker 4: send over the gag reels of Dallas.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Oh smart.
- 14:18Speaker 4: That was how he sort of convinced everybody that he
- 14:21Speaker 4: could do it, and he really wanted That's like a
- 14:23Speaker 4: direction he'd really wanted to go in for a long time.
- 14:25Speaker 4: So I think having those two together already on the show,
- 14:30Speaker 4: it voted very well for the start of it.
- 14:33Speaker 1: And Susan, Susan and Summers. I just got to ask
- 14:36Speaker 1: you about her. She seemed like such a genuine person.
- 14:39Speaker 1: She was like so rich with that QBC money.
- 14:44Speaker 3: True, yes, true, Yeah.
- 14:47Speaker 2: She was a great business person, brilliant business person, so
- 14:51Speaker 2: savvy and smart and ahead of her time in.
- 14:54Speaker 3: So many ways.
- 14:56Speaker 2: She she did not have a diva bone in her body,
- 14:59Speaker 2: and neither does Patrick Duffie.
- 15:00Speaker 3: So you know it, I'm sure maybe some of those
- 15:04Speaker 3: producers who.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Didn't know them were afraid, oh god, you know, we're
- 15:07Speaker 2: going to bring these two in and they're gonna it's
- 15:09Speaker 2: going to be a diva off, you know, between the
- 15:11Speaker 2: two of them, and it was.
- 15:12Speaker 3: The complete opposite.
- 15:13Speaker 2: They're both they both were just so easy going and
- 15:18Speaker 2: funny and just sweet truly.
- 15:24Speaker 3: But yeah, Suzanne was.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Just just incredible, just so so glamorous, you know, and
- 15:31Speaker 2: the icon that she was, but at the same time
- 15:34Speaker 2: just goofy and so sweet to all of us kids
- 15:37Speaker 2: and so welcoming.
- 15:38Speaker 3: She was very maternal.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Actually, she had a very nurturing way about her, and
- 15:43Speaker 2: she had her own kind of way of talking to
- 15:45Speaker 2: each of us, you know, according to our age and
- 15:47Speaker 2: what we were up to. So she and I and
- 15:50Speaker 2: Angela Watson we would always be talking about you know,
- 15:52Speaker 2: she would call them our shallow conversations because we were
- 15:55Speaker 2: always talking about a certain lift liner and what shoes
- 15:58Speaker 2: we were trying to get and clothes. You know, she
- 16:01Speaker 2: just she found a way to connect to all of
- 16:04Speaker 2: us individually.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Even though there were one hundred kids on that show,
- 16:08Speaker 3: she still managed to do.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Now, Okay, this roused me. I want to ask you
- 16:12Speaker 1: guys to give me I need for both of you,
- 16:14Speaker 1: your best and your worst Hollywood story, Like give me
- 16:17Speaker 1: like a like a I Love, I Love like a
- 16:20Speaker 1: brush with fame kind of a story. So give me
- 16:23Speaker 1: give me your best and your worst. And if you
- 16:24Speaker 1: don't want to say the prepl's names are the worst,
- 16:26Speaker 1: you don't have to. But I'll try to guess anyway.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Okay, So wait, I'm just well, let me clarify when
- 16:31Speaker 2: you stay brushed with fames? So do you mean experiences
- 16:35Speaker 2: an experience with a celebrity?
- 16:37Speaker 1: Yeah, just anything. It could be on a set, like
- 16:39Speaker 1: something personally, something you were working on or it give
- 16:42Speaker 1: me like you ran into them at the grocery store.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Well, I've talked about when I was a kid.
- 16:50Speaker 2: I got to go on to the set of a
- 16:52Speaker 2: few Good Men and I got to meet Tom Cruise
- 16:56Speaker 2: and Kevin Bacon and to me more it's kind of
- 16:58Speaker 2: best and worse all in one because they were all
- 17:01Speaker 2: wearing the uniforms, they were in full wardrobe, because they
- 17:04Speaker 2: were they were shooting, you know. I went my step
- 17:08Speaker 2: tutor took knew somebody over there and took me over
- 17:10Speaker 2: to the.
- 17:11Speaker 3: Sound stage and I got to meet them all.
- 17:12Speaker 2: So that was kind of best because they were all
- 17:15Speaker 2: exactly like you would want them to be, you know
- 17:18Speaker 2: Tom Cruise, which was well, hello, nice to meet you.
- 17:20Speaker 3: You know, just look you.
- 17:21Speaker 2: In the eye, just so just impressive. And then I
- 17:25Speaker 2: also got to meet Jack Nicholson, who was my idol
- 17:28Speaker 2: and at that time was I just thought he was
- 17:31Speaker 2: the best actor who had ever lived. He's what I
- 17:34Speaker 2: aspired to be in terms of acting ability someday.
- 17:38Speaker 3: And he also was very impressive.
- 17:39Speaker 2: He had the uniform on and everything, but he was
- 17:41Speaker 2: also pretty drunk.
- 17:43Speaker 1: What what he was drunk on set?
- 17:48Speaker 2: Yes, So I mean and I was maybe thirteen or fourteen,
- 17:51Speaker 2: but even I could tell.
- 17:54Speaker 1: What was he supposed to be drunk in the scene
- 17:56Speaker 1: and it was method acting or he was like, hey,
- 17:58Speaker 1: I'm done shooting for the day. Let's tie. I went on, No,
- 18:01Speaker 1: it was the morning.
- 18:02Speaker 3: I'm pretty strict. They were about to do some big
- 18:05Speaker 3: courtroom scene. You know, you can't handle the truth or whatever?
- 18:09Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, wow, well that is crazy. And Tom Cruise,
- 18:14Speaker 1: he didn't try to recruit you to scientology, did he.
- 18:16Speaker 3: He didn't have a chance.
- 18:17Speaker 2: It was a brief interaction, you know, he you know,
- 18:20Speaker 2: it was just a hello. It was just a nice
- 18:22Speaker 2: hello and a little small talk and then and then
- 18:26Speaker 2: moving on. And then years later I saw Jack Nicholson
- 18:29Speaker 2: at a strip club in Atlanta with his sunglasses on iconic,
- 18:33Speaker 2: just standing up dancing in a full circle of naked
- 18:37Speaker 2: ladies that were all dancing around, And I thought.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Jack is in his this is he's in his element
- 18:43Speaker 3: right now. He looked very happy.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Now. I don't want to know why you were in
- 18:49Speaker 1: a strip club with naked ladies, that's your own business,
- 18:52Speaker 1: but it must have been It must have been a
- 18:55Speaker 1: pretty high end one. If Jack Nicholson was there.
- 18:58Speaker 3: It was gorgeous. You know.
- 18:59Speaker 2: I with some friends for the Olympics when it was
- 19:02Speaker 2: in Atlanta, and they wanted to go, and they were
- 19:05Speaker 2: saying how fabulous the strip clubs were in Atlanta, and
- 19:08Speaker 2: I don't think I had ever been to a strip club,
- 19:10Speaker 2: and I was completely down, and yeah, the.
- 19:12Speaker 3: Place was gorgeous. It looked like it looked like a
- 19:15Speaker 3: Vegas you know, showroom. It was incredible.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Okay, oh my goodness, those are good. All right, Christy
- 19:23Speaker 1: top of it.
- 19:24Speaker 4: Yeah, Atlanta's known for their strip clubs there. It's one
- 19:28Speaker 4: of our exports, imports, I don't know anyway, So let's see.
- 19:32Speaker 4: I mean, I have a lot of strange and fun stories. God,
- 19:38Speaker 4: i'd have to say one of one of maybe my
- 19:40Speaker 4: most unique. I did a movie when I was in
- 19:43Speaker 4: my twenties and I got to go to Turks and
- 19:45Speaker 4: Caicos for two weeks. Cool, you know, pretty awesome. And
- 19:50Speaker 4: Christopher Walkin played my father in the movie. And I've
- 19:54Speaker 4: just been watching him on the second season of Severn,
- 19:56Speaker 4: so I'm a little bit just like, oh my god,
- 19:58Speaker 4: I can't believe I got to like work with him. Yeah,
- 20:01Speaker 4: he's just such I mean, he's so iconic in so
- 20:04Speaker 4: many ways. And we were we were working, we were
- 20:08Speaker 4: on this pier. He is just glowing white. I mean
- 20:10Speaker 4: he is in like a bathing suit and we are
- 20:12Speaker 4: trying to like get onto a boat and he is
- 20:14Speaker 4: like literally like I mean white and white.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Yeah. It's like it's like me is like me got
- 20:21Speaker 1: to it. Yeah, It's like oh girl, yeah.
- 20:25Speaker 4: And we get out. We're doing that. We're doing our
- 20:27Speaker 4: work for the day. And then he was done and
- 20:29Speaker 4: I was still working on the pier. So they they
- 20:31Speaker 4: wrapped him. And uh, he had a villa just like
- 20:35Speaker 4: south of where we were shooting, and I guess he
- 20:39Speaker 4: was wrapped for the day. And suddenly he decided to
- 20:41Speaker 4: go swimming. Well, I guess he can't swim. So one
- 20:44Speaker 4: of the PA's looks over and I hear on the walkie, uh,
- 20:48Speaker 4: does someone have a ten on eyes on Christopher Walken?
- 20:52Speaker 4: Is he okay? And we look over and he's just
- 20:54Speaker 4: like floating like in the water, but only maybe in
- 20:58Speaker 4: I don't know, of foot and a half of water,
- 21:01Speaker 4: but he's just floating like face down. And then about
- 21:03Speaker 4: every minute or so he'd come up and take a big.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Breatho and go back down.
- 21:08Speaker 4: And he was fine, but he wanted to experience the
- 21:11Speaker 4: water and experience the fish. But he doesn't know how
- 21:13Speaker 4: to swim, so that was sort of his his way
- 21:17Speaker 4: of getting in the water. We asked him about it
- 21:20Speaker 4: the next day and it was just like it was
- 21:23Speaker 4: just I don't know, it was hilarious. He was fine,
- 21:25Speaker 4: thank god, because everyone thought for a moment that he
- 21:28Speaker 4: might be perished in the water. Well, I have enough
- 21:32Speaker 4: insurance to cover that. I'm sure.
- 21:34Speaker 1: I hate to throw it back, but he was on
- 21:36Speaker 1: the boat when Natalie Wood went overboard.
- 21:38Speaker 4: It's all very strange, Mary Pain, it's all very interesting,
- 21:42Speaker 4: Mary Pain. I mean, you could do a deep dive
- 21:45Speaker 4: on that.
- 21:46Speaker 1: That's a good that's a good Christopher Walkin's story. I
- 21:49Speaker 1: love whenever he's on SNL. I mean, because he's so
- 21:53Speaker 1: he's so strange. He's just so strange. But that was
- 21:58Speaker 1: That makes a good actor sometimes just a weir or
- 22:00Speaker 1: the better look at Jack Nicholson. Okay, well that is
- 22:04Speaker 1: a very good story too. If you come if you
- 22:07Speaker 1: come up with anymore and you want to tell me later,
- 22:10Speaker 1: you can get I love. I love a good story.
- 22:15Speaker 1: I have one. I have a million, but all of
- 22:17Speaker 1: mine are just like tangential. I went to this party
- 22:21Speaker 1: for Obama's first inauguration. It was the Creative Coalition had
- 22:26Speaker 1: this big party and somehow my husband knew somebody. So
- 22:28Speaker 1: we got like the v VIP wristbands, Like we did
- 22:32Speaker 1: not pay for them. His his company paid for us
- 22:34Speaker 1: to go. So we got to go into the v
- 22:36Speaker 1: VI I P room and in that room was like
- 22:38Speaker 1: Anne Hathaway and like Magic Johnson and Spike Lee and
- 22:44Speaker 1: Tyne and Tim Day siblings and I just like people.
- 22:48Speaker 1: They're just the people were there. So everybody was like
- 22:50Speaker 1: totally nice if you spoke to them, except for Anne Hathaway,
- 22:53Speaker 1: who is a big old bach and so later I
- 22:57Speaker 1: took a very unattractive picture of her just to show
- 23:00Speaker 1: her do it. Yeah she was. She wasn't nice, she
- 23:06Speaker 1: was she was flat out rude, and everybody else was
- 23:09Speaker 1: so nice. And I wasn't like running up to people
- 23:11Speaker 1: can I get a picture? You know, just if they
- 23:13Speaker 1: were in my area, I would say, oh, I loved
- 23:16Speaker 1: you in this or can I get a picture, And
- 23:19Speaker 1: in my mind, I'm like they have to know that
- 23:21Speaker 1: if I'm in this room, I'm not completely crazy, like
- 23:24Speaker 1: maybe I have the money to be here which I
- 23:26Speaker 1: didn't because it was free for me. But no, but
- 23:29Speaker 1: Anna Hathe was like she had just been in that
- 23:32Speaker 1: movie Rachel in the Wedding or Rachel Does the Wedding
- 23:35Speaker 1: where she played like the alcoholic sister of the person
- 23:37Speaker 1: getting married. She was so good in that movie, and
- 23:40Speaker 1: I was like, oh God, that movie. I think she
- 23:42Speaker 1: was like nominated for it. And I didn't know her
- 23:45Speaker 1: from Princess whatever. I didn't know her from any of
- 23:48Speaker 1: that stuff. I just knew her from that like indie film.
- 23:50Speaker 1: She did not care. She did not care about my
- 23:53Speaker 1: indie film knowledge. She did not want to speak to
- 23:55Speaker 1: me at all.
- 23:57Speaker 4: Oh no, it happened, pins it happens.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Chrissy's in her mind, like I met Anne Hathaway once.
- 24:04Speaker 1: She was a bitch to meet. So she's not gonna
- 24:06Speaker 1: say not her.
- 24:09Speaker 4: But yeah, I mean every so often you get you
- 24:12Speaker 4: get a tough one, right, So I don't want to
- 24:15Speaker 4: be there.
- 24:16Speaker 1: Go ahead, Sacy.
- 24:18Speaker 2: I was an acting class with Deborah Gibson, right, And
- 24:21Speaker 2: Deborah is a real hustler, you know.
- 24:24Speaker 3: She She's like you, Mary Payne.
- 24:26Speaker 2: She is not afraid to walk up to anybody, introduce herself.
- 24:29Speaker 3: Meet them.
- 24:30Speaker 2: So we were doing a scene together, and we decided
- 24:33Speaker 2: to go to the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf on
- 24:35Speaker 2: Sunset Boulevard, right there in Hollywood, West Hollywood. So I
- 24:40Speaker 2: had something to do that night, and at that time
- 24:43Speaker 2: I used to pin curl my hair. My hair was
- 24:45Speaker 2: kind of shoulder length, and I would do these kind
- 24:47Speaker 2: of nineteen twenties a little so you would take your
- 24:49Speaker 2: hair and foilet up and then stick one of those
- 24:51Speaker 2: big silver, you know pins, like alligator type of pins.
- 24:56Speaker 2: I didn't you know I had to go to this thing.
- 24:58Speaker 2: The things were already in my hair. She wanted to
- 25:00Speaker 2: go to Coffee Bean. I said, fine, I'm not gonna
- 25:03Speaker 2: take them down. I'm just gonna leave them.
- 25:04Speaker 3: This is embarrassing, I'm going out with curlers in my hair. Whatever.
- 25:08Speaker 2: So I took kind of a silk scarf and I
- 25:10Speaker 2: put it over, but you could still see them. So
- 25:12Speaker 2: then we go to the Coffee Bean and Tea Leave,
- 25:14Speaker 2: and of course who is there but Ben Stiller and Deborah.
- 25:17Speaker 3: Being Deborah, she has to meet Ben Stiller.
- 25:20Speaker 2: And as soon as we walk in and she spots him,
- 25:22Speaker 2: it's like, okay, strategizing, we got to go over there.
- 25:25Speaker 2: I have to meet him, and I'm going, oh my god,
- 25:28Speaker 2: I'm going to meet them. These colors in my hair.
- 25:31Speaker 2: So so we end up talking to him and the
- 25:35Speaker 2: entire and he was so nice.
- 25:37Speaker 3: He was so nice and so polite. But the entire time.
- 25:40Speaker 2: You know, when somebody's eyes are looking at something on
- 25:42Speaker 2: you and you're going, are.
- 25:44Speaker 3: What are they looking at? Like? Is what do I
- 25:47Speaker 3: have on me? He just kept looking.
- 25:49Speaker 2: His eyes just kept flicking up to my hair, and
- 25:51Speaker 2: he was kind of laughing to himself.
- 25:53Speaker 3: He's kind of.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Chuckling under his breath. And I was just waiting for
- 25:57Speaker 2: what he was going to say. I was just waiting
- 25:59Speaker 2: for this kill line that he was just gonna destroy
- 26:02Speaker 2: me with.
- 26:03Speaker 3: And he held himself back. He never he never said it.
- 26:06Speaker 1: That is the worst. When you're like, what what what
- 26:09Speaker 1: you're always like is it is something in my teeth?
- 26:11Speaker 1: What's on my hair?
- 26:12Speaker 4: Like?
- 26:12Speaker 1: Stop, just tell me what it is? But looking at it, yes,
- 26:15Speaker 1: but you knew what it was, so you didn't.
- 26:17Speaker 2: I knew what And he's going, he was just like
- 26:20Speaker 2: I could almost read his thoughts like there was a
- 26:22Speaker 2: little chirn underneath going.
- 26:25Speaker 3: She really left the house with and came to the
- 26:29Speaker 3: coffee being in Hollywood. Imagine that.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Now, let me ask you, okay about your friendship. Have
- 26:35Speaker 1: you guys been friends this whole time or did you
- 26:37Speaker 1: reconnect later in life or you just stayed friends ever
- 26:40Speaker 1: since you were, you know, a teens in your early twenties.
- 26:44Speaker 4: Yeah, we well we were. We got closer as the
- 26:47Speaker 4: show went on. I always secretly wanted to be closer
- 26:52Speaker 4: with the older girls, but I, for many years, was
- 26:55Speaker 4: regulated to being a kid. So I wanted to be
- 27:00Speaker 4: like sixteen and you know, seventeen and talk about makeup
- 27:03Speaker 4: and boys and all of that. But I was like
- 27:05Speaker 4: twelve thirteen. So I in the very beginning, I you know,
- 27:08Speaker 4: I hung around a lot with the little boys on
- 27:10Speaker 4: the show, and we would play video games and stuff.
- 27:12Speaker 4: And then as I got to be a little older,
- 27:15Speaker 4: myself and Stacy and Angela all got closer and we
- 27:18Speaker 4: would hang out more on set and it was really fun.
- 27:21Speaker 4: And then the show ended. Stacy and I were both
- 27:24Speaker 4: at UCLA. We didn't run into each other a ton
- 27:27Speaker 4: every now and then, and then we would see each other,
- 27:31Speaker 4: you know, randomly, like I would have parties and invite
- 27:34Speaker 4: Stacy or she would have a party and invite me,
- 27:38Speaker 4: and then really once she went off to law school,
- 27:42Speaker 4: I feel like that was just a hole in time
- 27:44Speaker 4: of you just being in law school.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Of course.
- 27:47Speaker 4: Yeah, and then and then now doing the podcast. I mean,
- 27:52Speaker 4: obviously we talk all the time, and we're you know,
- 27:55Speaker 4: recording all the time, and it's really nice. It's nice
- 27:58Speaker 4: to have a more regular or you know, schedule where
- 28:03Speaker 4: we get to chat. And but there's so many things
- 28:05Speaker 4: that I didn't even even playing sisters on a show,
- 28:09Speaker 4: even knowing someone as you grow up again, I had
- 28:11Speaker 4: a different experience in some ways than Stacey did. So
- 28:14Speaker 4: there's a lot of things that I was not privy
- 28:17Speaker 4: to or had no idea about at that time. So
- 28:20Speaker 4: it's it's been really interesting kind of going back because
- 28:23Speaker 4: you think you know someone, but you don't know everything
- 28:26Speaker 4: about their experience or what they remember. So that's been
- 28:29Speaker 4: pretty special.
- 28:30Speaker 1: And now the podcast, you're talking to the adults on
- 28:32Speaker 1: the show, which has got to be really interesting, right
- 28:34Speaker 1: because you were seeing it the kid lens and they're
- 28:38Speaker 1: seeing it through they are they giving you any like
- 28:40Speaker 1: inside scoop, Like what you didn't know was this makeup
- 28:42Speaker 1: artist was having a thing with the production assistant or
- 28:45Speaker 1: any of that. Are you getting any like that, You're like,
- 28:47Speaker 1: I always thought that was something.
- 28:50Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I think we were pretty good about
- 28:53Speaker 2: the onset gossip.
- 28:54Speaker 3: We were pretty up in the.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Mix about finding out excuse me, who was that kind
- 29:00Speaker 2: of stuff. But yeah, we had Ross Brown on our podcast.
- 29:03Speaker 2: He was our executive producer. He was our showrunner for
- 29:07Speaker 2: many years, and he told stories and behind the scenes
- 29:11Speaker 2: stuff from his point of view that I never knew,
- 29:15Speaker 2: dealing with the network, dealing with the writers, just you know, casting,
- 29:20Speaker 2: casting the guest stars that would come out every single week,
- 29:24Speaker 2: stuff that I don't think I even ever thought of
- 29:28Speaker 2: or knew.
- 29:28Speaker 3: It is so weird.
- 29:30Speaker 2: It reminds me of being siblings in a family where
- 29:33Speaker 2: the older siblings were privy to or knew about certain things.
- 29:36Speaker 2: The younger siblings are find out these things for the
- 29:39Speaker 2: first time. Thirty years later. You do kind of live
- 29:43Speaker 2: different lives. And I've learned from Christine stuff that happened
- 29:46Speaker 2: with the younger kids that I never knew about. And
- 29:50Speaker 2: I'm also finding out that she wished that she was
- 29:52Speaker 2: hanging out with us more, which I feel bad about.
- 29:54Speaker 2: I wish why didn't I think of that or why
- 29:56Speaker 2: didn't I should have known that or have that intuition
- 30:00Speaker 2: at the time and kind of brought her along with us.
- 30:02Speaker 3: I wish I had you know.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Okay, now speaking of the podcast you guys, Okay, So Stacey,
- 30:10Speaker 1: when you first sent me that non sexual but went
- 30:13Speaker 1: into the sexual inbox DM and you were like, hey,
- 30:17Speaker 1: you know, if you want to hear this clip of
- 30:19Speaker 1: we mentioned you and Keisha on our show, and I
- 30:21Speaker 1: was like, what, you could just drop a line to
- 30:25Speaker 1: our producer Stephen ray Morris. I mean, whatever else you
- 30:28Speaker 1: said before or after that was like gone, gone. I said,
- 30:32Speaker 1: did you just name drop Stephen ray Morris? Because now nothing? What?
- 30:38Speaker 1: Because I died? Because again, everybody, if you've listened to
- 30:42Speaker 1: the show, you know I'm obsessed with my favorite murder.
- 30:44Speaker 1: I'm a huge fan of Karen and Georgia. I'm like,
- 30:49Speaker 1: dream goal of my life still on my list from
- 30:51Speaker 1: six years ago and I seven years ago and I
- 30:53Speaker 1: started podcasting. Is number one person I'd ever want to
- 30:56Speaker 1: interview would be Karen and Georgia. Karen specifically because we're
- 30:59Speaker 1: the same aida. My love for Karen is well documented.
- 31:02Speaker 1: I did get to meet her completely accidentally. A podcast
- 31:05Speaker 1: movement lost my mind and I have a cold black heart.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Cried a little. It was not it was not cool,
- 31:12Speaker 1: it was not good. It did not make her think, yeah,
- 31:14Speaker 1: this is a person I would love to chat with.
- 31:17Speaker 1: It made her think slight restraining order might be And
- 31:20Speaker 1: even when I mentioned Steven she was like mm hmm,
- 31:23Speaker 1: because I was like, are you are you lying? It
- 31:25Speaker 1: was I was like, if I mentioned Steven, then for
- 31:28Speaker 1: sure she's gonna want to come on. No, it does
- 31:30Speaker 1: not happened. I've sent a full pitch deck. I like
- 31:33Speaker 1: a paid a PR person to do a pitch deck
- 31:36Speaker 1: geared towards Karen to try to get her on this show,
- 31:39Speaker 1: and it's like crickets is nobody has replied, Oh, so
- 31:45Speaker 1: after this, I'm going to reach out to Stephen again.
- 31:47Speaker 1: I'm trying not to overplay my hand. But all I
- 31:48Speaker 1: do is talk about it, and I really like go
- 31:50Speaker 1: to bed at night like manifesting it. So how is
- 31:54Speaker 1: it working with Stephen? That's my question.
- 31:57Speaker 4: We have a we have an acronym for thank God
- 31:59Speaker 4: for Stephen Ray Morris. He's the best, and you know,
- 32:03Speaker 4: I was so lucky I worked with him on a
- 32:07Speaker 4: former podcast I did and we had a great relationship,
- 32:11Speaker 4: and I've just always adored him as a person. He's
- 32:14Speaker 4: an amazing producer. Yeah, he I feel like, really started
- 32:19Speaker 4: doing this in the very beginning, before and before being
- 32:22Speaker 4: a podcast producer.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Was even a thing totally.
- 32:25Speaker 4: And he's got you know, he's just got such a
- 32:27Speaker 4: great mind. He knows so much about pop culture. He
- 32:31Speaker 4: can he retains so many things in his brain. He's
- 32:36Speaker 4: so when he's actually really I think the thing that
- 32:39Speaker 4: tipped this podcast over the edge to get it going
- 32:43Speaker 4: because Stacy and I. Stacy had come to me with
- 32:45Speaker 4: the idea and really wanted to do a recap podcast,
- 32:49Speaker 4: and I thought that that was sort of interesting. I
- 32:51Speaker 4: don't know that I would care to recap it with
- 32:53Speaker 4: anyone else, but I thought it was a really cool concept.
- 32:57Speaker 4: I would you know, I hadn't watched the show in
- 32:59Speaker 4: a lot in a long time, and Stacy had never
- 33:01Speaker 4: watched the show, so this is her first time ever
- 33:03Speaker 4: watching it.
- 33:04Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 33:04Speaker 4: So I thought that was a really cool angle as well.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Yeah, and then so we.
- 33:08Speaker 4: Started recording it. I think we recorded for almost a
- 33:10Speaker 4: year just to see what it was like and just
- 33:13Speaker 4: to see if we what was the format, how long
- 33:16Speaker 4: would the recaps be, how in depth would they be?
- 33:19Speaker 4: What did we have to talk about? Would anyone be interested?
- 33:21Speaker 4: You know? And then we had all these recordings and
- 33:24Speaker 4: we just kind of needed someone to come in and
- 33:27Speaker 4: help us. And it's a while. I had lunch. Stephen
- 33:31Speaker 4: randomly reached out to me. He and I had lunch.
- 33:33Speaker 4: I kind of soft pitched him the podcast at lunch. Yeah,
- 33:37Speaker 4: we've been working on this for a while. I don't know,
- 33:38Speaker 4: we need someone to come in. We need you, honestly,
- 33:41Speaker 4: but yeah, you're probably busy. And he was like, I
- 33:44Speaker 4: would love to do this podcast. And then I told Stacy,
- 33:48Speaker 4: and you could tell your reaction to that.
- 33:51Speaker 2: I okay, So I'm also a huge fan of my
- 33:54Speaker 2: favorite murder, huge fan of Stephen.
- 33:57Speaker 3: And yes we had a you know, the.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Ault, all of season one's worth of step by step episodes,
- 34:03Speaker 2: all those podcasts recorded, but yeah, we needed someone to get.
- 34:06Speaker 3: It over the edge.
- 34:06Speaker 2: So, you know, at one point, I just I so
- 34:10Speaker 2: wanted this to happen, but I didn't know really what
- 34:12Speaker 2: to do. And I was just lamenting this to my
- 34:14Speaker 2: husband and he said, well, doesn't doesn't.
- 34:17Speaker 3: Lacan know Stephen ray Marts what about asking him?
- 34:20Speaker 2: And I said he is the most famous podcast producer
- 34:24Speaker 2: in the entire world.
- 34:25Speaker 3: Are you kidding?
- 34:26Speaker 2: Like he doesn't want anything to do with our stupid
- 34:28Speaker 2: little show. And then when Laken said he wanted to
- 34:31Speaker 2: do it, I could. I really almost still cannot believe it.
- 34:35Speaker 2: I still cannot believe it. It's like he was on
- 34:38Speaker 2: my vision board and then he and then he shows
- 34:41Speaker 2: up and we record the show. It's just I mean,
- 34:45Speaker 2: on top I totally agree with everything Laken said about Stephen,
- 34:48Speaker 2: But on top of.
- 34:48Speaker 3: That, he's also he's very nurturing.
- 34:52Speaker 2: You know, as two female podcasters with a male producer,
- 34:56Speaker 2: he is so supportive of us, and he has this
- 35:00Speaker 2: nurturing way about him that makes you think that you
- 35:04Speaker 2: can do it.
- 35:05Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I love that. Well, listen, I think that
- 35:10Speaker 1: that I've met y'all and now I've met Stephen, and
- 35:13Speaker 1: then you knew Stephen, and then you love my favorite murder.
- 35:16Speaker 1: So let's just let's just keep it. We'll keep the
- 35:18Speaker 1: conversation going. Well, maybe it will happen for me one day.
- 35:21Speaker 1: When it does, after the next day, I'm retiring. I'm
- 35:23Speaker 1: never going to a podcast again. No.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Now, Well, based on your account of meeting, uh, George,
- 35:31Speaker 2: not Georgia. Karen, Karen, Karen, Sorry, my brain just went
- 35:35Speaker 2: blank there for a second. I thought, you know, hearing
- 35:38Speaker 2: you talk about it on the pod, I thought it
- 35:40Speaker 2: sounded like she loved you, because Karen listen from listening
- 35:43Speaker 2: to the pod, she seems like she could be a
- 35:45Speaker 2: little tough, maybe a little intimidating. But I thought she
- 35:48Speaker 2: loved you.
- 35:49Speaker 1: No, yeah, I don't know. She just sort of didn't
- 35:54Speaker 1: talk a lot and just let me sort of. And
- 35:56Speaker 1: then it was it was cringe. It was because Matt
- 36:01Speaker 1: Maher went up to her and was like, listen, I
- 36:03Speaker 1: don't I know who you are. I don't listen to
- 36:05Speaker 1: your show. I can't listen to true crime. I'm scared.
- 36:07Speaker 1: She goes, okay, that was the introduction. But here's my
- 36:11Speaker 1: friend that's obsessed with you, and she doesn't want to
- 36:13Speaker 1: talk to you because she's so scared. As if I
- 36:15Speaker 1: was like seven, I was like, I like shrunk within
- 36:19Speaker 1: myself and then I talked too much and acted like
- 36:21Speaker 1: a real idiot. But what I hope is that maybe
- 36:24Speaker 1: she'll go and listen to some episodes if there's something,
- 36:26Speaker 1: because I've had some people on that she knows so
- 36:29Speaker 1: maybe she would go and listen to that. I don't know, listen.
- 36:31Speaker 1: We can't talk about it anymore, but it's it's okay.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Tell me what shows you guys are watching now. Obviously
- 36:39Speaker 1: you're watching Love After lock Up or at least I
- 36:42Speaker 1: know Stacey is, because that's how you started listening to
- 36:45Speaker 1: Pink Shades. What what trashy? I mean when I say trashy,
- 36:48Speaker 1: I mean amazing shows are you watching?
- 36:51Speaker 4: Well, I've done a real deep dive into the valley.
- 36:55Speaker 2: So good.
- 36:56Speaker 4: I've watched a lot of.
- 36:59Speaker 1: Your mom it's my call. It's so good, Oh my god,
- 37:02Speaker 1: so good. It's so dark, it's so good.
- 37:04Speaker 4: People are struggling.
- 37:08Speaker 1: They are everyone struggling.
- 37:10Speaker 4: Yeah, of course I watch all of Beverly Hill's Real Housewives.
- 37:15Speaker 4: I've really done this is this is really I'm not
- 37:18Speaker 4: super proud of this, but I've pretty much watched every
- 37:22Speaker 4: single season and iteration of Below Deck.
- 37:25Speaker 1: I am great.
- 37:27Speaker 4: Yeah, Below Deck, down Under. I mean this is kind
- 37:30Speaker 4: of the show that we watch, like my husband and
- 37:32Speaker 4: I when we're folding laundry or like lasing off no offense.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Below Decks that's us with like friends. It's just always on.
- 37:39Speaker 1: You can pick it up at any point.
- 37:41Speaker 4: Really, if you've dozed off, you you don't really need
- 37:43Speaker 4: to know what happened to figure it out.
- 37:46Speaker 1: So Kimberly Kimberly update with dateline who you know as well?
- 37:49Speaker 1: That's her favorite show is all the iterations of below decks.
- 37:53Speaker 1: So you guys have that in common.
- 37:54Speaker 4: It's great. I mean people around.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Yes, yes? What about what's her name that has the
- 38:01Speaker 1: crazy voice? Asia?
- 38:03Speaker 4: Like this? Everyone has so many weird and crazy yeah.
- 38:08Speaker 1: I A it's something like what do you say? It
- 38:11Speaker 1: is like put out the clo Okay, I didn't have
- 38:12Speaker 1: the close captions on now I need them. I don't
- 38:14Speaker 1: know what anybody's saying on this show.
- 38:16Speaker 4: Yeah, wild accents. Yeah, that's great.
- 38:18Speaker 1: And what about you, Stacy? What are you watching besides
- 38:21Speaker 1: Love After lock Up? Of course, which is on a break,
- 38:23Speaker 1: which is upsetting.
- 38:24Speaker 2: So I actually stopped listening or watching see watching Love
- 38:29Speaker 2: after lock Up because it's so it became so hard
- 38:32Speaker 2: to find, and then I would buy it on Amazon,
- 38:35Speaker 2: but then the episode still wouldn't be available, and I
- 38:38Speaker 2: would just be jonesing so hard and not be able
- 38:42Speaker 2: to watch the episode, and it was so frustrating.
- 38:45Speaker 3: And then like you always point out it's.
- 38:47Speaker 2: So wonky the way they number the seasons and the episodes,
- 38:50Speaker 2: and then I would end up maybe buying the wrong
- 38:53Speaker 2: season because I thought.
- 38:54Speaker 1: It was the next season and it was totally eazy.
- 38:57Speaker 2: I finally gave up on watching it, and I just
- 38:59Speaker 2: listened to you and Keisha every single Monday for misdemeanor Mondays.
- 39:04Speaker 3: So I don't even know when you're talking about people.
- 39:06Speaker 2: Sometimes I just have to go while I'm listening and
- 39:08Speaker 2: look up who you're speaking of, so I can picture
- 39:12Speaker 2: the teeth and the lashes and the wig for wig Court,
- 39:16Speaker 2: and because I don't even know who the people are anymore.
- 39:19Speaker 2: And then because of you, I started watching The Valley,
- 39:23Speaker 2: which I can never undo that now there is no
- 39:25Speaker 2: going back. I mean back to the beginning, all the
- 39:29Speaker 2: way up and now here I am just waiting for
- 39:32Speaker 2: Wednesday night for the episode.
- 39:34Speaker 3: Yet I think maybe the show should be called Marriage
- 39:38Speaker 3: is Hard.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Maybe, And then the other takeaway from it, I don't
- 39:43Speaker 2: know if it is even a takeaway.
- 39:45Speaker 3: I don't understand drinking like this, because so there will be.
- 39:49Speaker 2: Somebody who gets in trouble for being drunk, but then
- 39:52Speaker 2: the person who started it was also super wasted, and
- 39:55Speaker 2: no one even mentions that everyone's just so wasted that
- 39:58Speaker 2: it's this a matter of degrees that is so extreme.
- 40:03Speaker 2: I have never seen anything like it.
- 40:05Speaker 1: Well, it's like the Karen retrial. Everybody's drunk, everybody's driving,
- 40:10Speaker 1: everybody's just running their cars all up in the snow.
- 40:13Speaker 1: Everybody's just shit based on a Tuesday Oh yeah, yeah.
- 40:16Speaker 1: But you know, if you ever watch vander Pump Rules,
- 40:18Speaker 1: like the basis of that show is everybody's drunk, and
- 40:20Speaker 1: so then they roll into the valley and they're older
- 40:22Speaker 1: with kids, and then everybody's drunk. But I think it's
- 40:25Speaker 1: it's a matter of who's got the problem. It's a
- 40:29Speaker 1: lot of the Spider Man meme of everybody's because it's
- 40:34Speaker 1: like I want to call you know, just based on
- 40:36Speaker 1: my own experience. I'm gonna call out your problem so
- 40:38Speaker 1: I don't have to look at my own problem, you know.
- 40:40Speaker 1: And it's like, well, if I drink this much, at
- 40:42Speaker 1: least I'm not as bad as Jack's. He's got a
- 40:44Speaker 1: coke problem. Like it's so right, the valley is so good.
- 40:50Speaker 2: On the most recent episode, I did not understand why
- 40:53Speaker 2: I am still slummocks about the whole Nia thing. Because
- 40:57Speaker 2: Nia didn't declare that her husband's an alcoholic, she's being inauthentic.
- 41:04Speaker 2: I just I was so confused by that. I just
- 41:06Speaker 2: wanted to yell into the screen. You know that they're married, right,
- 41:11Speaker 2: she does have loyalty to him, number one.
- 41:13Speaker 3: Number two, it's not for job.
- 41:15Speaker 2: To diagnose him as alcoholic or anything else. And number three,
- 41:18Speaker 2: she doesn't owe it to you to throw her husband
- 41:21Speaker 2: under the bus for the purposes of this show.
- 41:23Speaker 3: Are you people nuts? I just I was lost.
- 41:26Speaker 2: By that whole scenario. But also I thought the people
- 41:29Speaker 2: who instigated.
- 41:30Speaker 3: It were drunk, but no one talks about it.
- 41:33Speaker 2: I thought Jasmine was kind of drunk actually when she instigated.
- 41:36Speaker 3: The whole thing, no one mentioned that. It was like
- 41:39Speaker 3: that didn't happen.
- 41:40Speaker 1: Well, she's upset by dark, sad Danny and what happened
- 41:44Speaker 1: on Halloween, and that's fine, and she has the right
- 41:47Speaker 1: to continue to be upset about that. She can't be
- 41:49Speaker 1: upset about it for two years, that's her right. I
- 41:52Speaker 1: did like this week that they really sat down over drinks,
- 41:56Speaker 1: of course, to discuss his drinking, and nobody gets the irony.
- 42:02Speaker 1: But but I was glad that he was able to
- 42:06Speaker 1: sort of hear what she was saying about. You know,
- 42:08Speaker 1: I am in a lesbian relationship and people don't take
- 42:11Speaker 1: it seriously or they fetishize it. And so that's why
- 42:14Speaker 1: I was so upsetting that you were grabbing at us,
- 42:16Speaker 1: and we just kind of thought you were different from
- 42:19Speaker 1: you were our friend. So all of that I understood,
- 42:23Speaker 1: and I was glad that at least they seemed to
- 42:25Speaker 1: come at the brewery to an understanding of his drinking,
- 42:29Speaker 1: which is correct.
- 42:31Speaker 2: Well, and Danet, Janet is the silent killer.
- 42:35Speaker 1: She is one.
- 42:36Speaker 3: She scares me to death.
- 42:37Speaker 1: Love her, I love her. I love Janet. This is
- 42:40Speaker 1: a great show because of Janet, Janet and Zach in
- 42:42Speaker 1: the background, and if they would just partner up for evil,
- 42:46Speaker 1: they could really just take it all down. But luckily
- 42:49Speaker 1: they're fighting, so the evil has been split, but they
- 42:54Speaker 1: are when when the show first started, the Valley and
- 42:57Speaker 1: after Scannabal Scannabal, I've listened to tons of Vander Pumperle's
- 43:01Speaker 1: cast members podcast. Janet was always there. Janet was there.
- 43:05Speaker 1: She was on this podcast, that podcast, and even like
- 43:07Speaker 1: Kristen said one time, listen, you guys think I'm a
- 43:09Speaker 1: shit star, let me let you meet my friend Janet.
- 43:12Speaker 1: So I knew about Janet where Janet came on the show,
- 43:14Speaker 1: knew and that she was going to be a shit star.
- 43:16Speaker 1: And people are like, she is the female version of Jack's,
- 43:19Speaker 1: not in the sociopathic way, but in the shit stirring way,
- 43:24Speaker 1: and they are right.
- 43:26Speaker 4: Yeah, she's definitely a killer.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Yeah, Jason just says nothing. I love him to Jason.
- 43:33Speaker 4: For Jason, because yeah, she just she comes off very
- 43:38Speaker 4: very put together, a little bit of it all right,
- 43:42Speaker 4: as if she knows best. She can be very rational,
- 43:46Speaker 4: but there is you know, she she will definitely cut
- 43:49Speaker 4: someone down and and manipulate a situation. I love as
- 43:52Speaker 4: she can.
- 43:53Speaker 1: And I hate Jesse and I love Jesse at the
- 43:56Speaker 1: same time, you know, yeah, I hate him and I
- 43:58Speaker 1: love him. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 44:02Speaker 4: I've never He's messy. I have never met someone more
- 44:05Speaker 4: of a like a complete narcissist.
- 44:08Speaker 1: I'm scared of him. I'm scared of him, Like that's
- 44:10Speaker 1: the kind of person. When he looked right at Janet
- 44:12Speaker 1: in front of her husband who said this is the
- 44:15Speaker 1: game and you don't know how to play the game
- 44:16Speaker 1: or whatever he said, I was like, oh my god,
- 44:18Speaker 1: I'm so scared. I'm scared of him.
- 44:20Speaker 3: And you're the real psycho.
- 44:22Speaker 2: When you're saying that to Janet, the person who said
- 44:26Speaker 2: you didn't want my you didn't want you wanted my
- 44:29Speaker 2: baby to die, It's like, no, I'm sorry, ma'am. It's
- 44:32Speaker 2: on You realize there's cameras, right, and this is on video.
- 44:35Speaker 2: That was never said, but the show just kind of
- 44:38Speaker 2: ran with that as though that is what Zach said,
- 44:42Speaker 2: which he never did, never did, and his defense attorney
- 44:46Speaker 2: and run in there and be like, hold on, everyone,
- 44:48Speaker 2: stop Zach, please do not entertain this for one single second.
- 44:53Speaker 2: Let's just roll the tape. He never said that. What
- 44:55Speaker 2: he said was I don't care. He wasn't saying I
- 44:57Speaker 2: don't care about her pregnancy. He was saying I don't
- 44:59Speaker 2: care or that she's acting like the only person who's
- 45:01Speaker 2: ever been pregnant in the history of humanity.
- 45:05Speaker 3: I don't care about that act. That is so clearly
- 45:08Speaker 3: what he meant, which I felt down to my bones.
- 45:12Speaker 3: I also don't care, you know about that.
- 45:14Speaker 2: Oh my god, I'm pregnant, so I can just you know,
- 45:16Speaker 2: destroy everyone and no one can say anything to me.
- 45:19Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, right now.
- 45:21Speaker 3: It will just be pregnant all the time.
- 45:23Speaker 1: I guess if I will say that I heard Janet
- 45:27Speaker 1: was on a jance on all the podcasts Jana was
- 45:29Speaker 1: on Sheena's podcast maybe, and they said that he did
- 45:34Speaker 1: say something like I hope the baby died. He did
- 45:38Speaker 1: say something terrible that wasn't on camera, that wasn't even
- 45:43Speaker 1: maybe even at that event, but at another event. So
- 45:46Speaker 1: technically they can only talk about what we saw. But
- 45:50Speaker 1: apparently he got blackout and did say something horrible. But
- 45:53Speaker 1: like I say all the time, we have to go
- 45:55Speaker 1: by what we've seen on our screen. We have to
- 45:56Speaker 1: recap what we've seen on our screen, and if we
- 45:58Speaker 1: didn't see that or hear that, then we can't listen.
- 46:02Speaker 1: I think Zach is great TV too. I think everybody
- 46:05Speaker 1: is great. Never change it, never bring anybody else in.
- 46:07Speaker 1: This is the cast Michelle's strange boyfriend will allow it,
- 46:13Speaker 1: will allow it, but I guess don't, don't, don't change it.
- 46:17Speaker 1: Listen because we have to wrap up soon. I do
- 46:20Speaker 1: have to know Stacy, because I know now you are
- 46:23Speaker 1: a lawyer extraordinaire. Are you watching Karrie Reid? Because I
- 46:26Speaker 1: literally have my iPad right here, it is paused the
- 46:29Speaker 1: trial is paused. While I'm talking to y'all, I thought.
- 46:34Speaker 3: I have not been watching it.
- 46:36Speaker 2: You know, as a prosecutor, I've had had cases with
- 46:39Speaker 2: Alan Jackson before, so I'm familiar with him. But I
- 46:44Speaker 2: listened to when the first trial happened and the mistrial.
- 46:48Speaker 3: I listened to a podcast called The Prosecutors. I don't
- 46:51Speaker 3: know if you're familiar with that.
- 46:52Speaker 2: I've heard of it, but they did a five hundred
- 46:55Speaker 2: episode series covering the first trial that was so in
- 46:59Speaker 2: depth and so detailed, and after that, I just, you know,
- 47:03Speaker 2: I had to let it go because I listened to
- 47:05Speaker 2: a million hours of it.
- 47:06Speaker 3: So I haven't been following this one so much.
- 47:09Speaker 2: I started to watch the documentary, but I was struggling
- 47:12Speaker 2: with the documentary.
- 47:13Speaker 3: So what is your tape? What do you think?
- 47:16Speaker 1: Even if there is a world that she bumped him
- 47:20Speaker 1: with the car and he fell back and died. Okay,
- 47:23Speaker 1: even if there's a world in what's that happened, which
- 47:25Speaker 1: I don't think it I personally, from my expertise, don't
- 47:28Speaker 1: think it did. But even if there's a world in
- 47:30Speaker 1: that happened, she bumped him, he fell back, he died,
- 47:33Speaker 1: that's an end of story. He never went in the house,
- 47:35Speaker 1: the dog never been in, he never hit his head
- 47:37Speaker 1: on the gym equipment. I don't know why those people
- 47:40Speaker 1: just suddenly got new flooring and got rid of their dog,
- 47:43Speaker 1: like within a week. But sure, and why everybody threw
- 47:45Speaker 1: their phones away in twelve different bins, that's not weird.
- 47:49Speaker 1: All these things. Let's just say, there's so much reasonable doubt,
- 47:52Speaker 1: and the prosecution's witnesses and everything have been so shoddy.
- 47:56Speaker 1: And even this last witnesses talking about the accident reconstruction,
- 48:02Speaker 1: he has set himself he is for the prosecution, and
- 48:04Speaker 1: he is like, we don't know the exact time any
- 48:07Speaker 1: collision happened, or if a collision happened at all. That's
- 48:11Speaker 1: the prosecution's witness And then he goes, but I think
- 48:15Speaker 1: that's probably she hit him with the car. No, you
- 48:18Speaker 1: just said that. The data on the car shows you
- 48:21Speaker 1: don't even know if there was a collision, and if
- 48:23Speaker 1: there was, what time had happened. So you can't even
- 48:26Speaker 1: say at this time the car sped up to twenty
- 48:29Speaker 1: or they can't say any of it. And that's for
- 48:31Speaker 1: the prosecution. There's so much reasonable doubt that there's absolutely
- 48:35Speaker 1: no way any person could could say there's not enough
- 48:40Speaker 1: reasonable doubt, because there's nothing but reasonable doubt in my opinion.
- 48:45Speaker 1: In my opinion, but I'm for the defense, and generally
- 48:51Speaker 1: in my life, I'm always for the prosecution. Listen if
- 48:53Speaker 1: you're talking to a person who did not miss one
- 48:56Speaker 1: word one day of the OJ Simpson trial. Because I
- 48:59Speaker 1: worked Turner Broadcasting at the time in the CNN building,
- 49:02Speaker 1: so there are TVs everywhere. Literally I would go in
- 49:05Speaker 1: the bathroom to wash my hands and there's Greta ancestern
- 49:07Speaker 1: Like I didn't miss a minute of it. It was
- 49:10Speaker 1: all being filmed there in the building where I worked,
- 49:13Speaker 1: and because I had no choice, it was all and
- 49:14Speaker 1: sometimes I would just stay at work. So I was like, oh,
- 49:16Speaker 1: it's going to be on, They're going to keep it
- 49:18Speaker 1: on later. I guess I'll just stay at work because
- 49:19Speaker 1: I didn't want to miss it because you couldn't get
- 49:21Speaker 1: it in the car, and like listen, you know, like
- 49:22Speaker 1: we could, like we can now, so and again, always
- 49:27Speaker 1: for the prosecution, especially in that case.
- 49:30Speaker 2: You know that building that is where I spent most
- 49:32Speaker 2: of my career as a DA for LA DA was
- 49:35Speaker 2: at CCB, the Criminal Courts building where the oj Trivel was.
- 49:40Speaker 1: What's your thought on the Menindaz brothers probably getting out
- 49:43Speaker 1: after time served.
- 49:47Speaker 2: That's a tough one for me. This is this is
- 49:49Speaker 2: not a popular opinion. But I I don't know about that.
- 49:55Speaker 3: I think agree.
- 49:56Speaker 1: I'm not so just like let them out. They only
- 49:57Speaker 1: killed their parents. I'm like, but they did killed two people.
- 50:01Speaker 2: I mean, the biggest problem for them is that they
- 50:03Speaker 2: killed their mom. That was the worst fact in their kate.
- 50:08Speaker 2: If they had only killed Jose it would have been
- 50:11Speaker 2: a different story, right. The fact that they killed her
- 50:15Speaker 2: is crucial to me and says a whole lot about
- 50:19Speaker 2: their intent and what was really going on.
- 50:22Speaker 3: I don't I just.
- 50:26Speaker 2: I mean, they shot downed a couple of people that
- 50:28Speaker 2: were sitting in their house eating strawberries watching TV.
- 50:31Speaker 1: Yeah, who were the parents?
- 50:32Speaker 3: You know. I think it's really tough.
- 50:36Speaker 1: I agree with that. I agree. I'm very on the
- 50:38Speaker 1: fence with that one. Listen, I have zero law background.
- 50:42Speaker 1: I'm just like giving my opinion. Like it's back now, Christine.
- 50:45Speaker 1: You are acting. Still, you're doing theater. You're doing tell
- 50:50Speaker 1: me what you're doing acting?
- 50:52Speaker 4: Sometimes I do a lot of voice acting.
- 50:56Speaker 1: I do a lot of you and Danny do you
- 50:58Speaker 1: run with Danny?
- 51:00Speaker 4: No, I do a lot of by myself in a booth.
- 51:03Speaker 4: I'm very solitary, solitary confinement. I do a lot of
- 51:10Speaker 4: audio books. I narrate a lot and always done that. Yeah,
- 51:14Speaker 4: and I really enjoy it. But then I also, about
- 51:17Speaker 4: six six or seven years ago, transitioned my career over
- 51:21Speaker 4: to direct television. So that's what my primary focus has
- 51:25Speaker 4: been for like the last six seven years.
- 51:28Speaker 1: And you guys are both you guys both live in
- 51:30Speaker 1: La now.
- 51:31Speaker 4: Yes, And I actually just drove by the other day Jax's,
- 51:36Speaker 4: which I know. I mean, did you go?
- 51:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I've been there.
- 51:39Speaker 4: That bar has always been weird. It's very so many
- 51:43Speaker 4: different things over the years, but.
- 51:44Speaker 1: It's attached to another bar. Yeah, Yeah, I went, and
- 51:48Speaker 1: it happened to be Season one, episode two was airing
- 51:52Speaker 1: that night. It just happened to be that I was
- 51:55Speaker 1: there with Ryan Bailey and Ingrid, my producer, was there.
- 51:58Speaker 1: We went to meet and we were like, oh, and
- 52:01Speaker 1: then the whole cast I came in because they were
- 52:02Speaker 1: doing a watch party and we didn't I'd only see
- 52:05Speaker 1: one episode, so I only knew Jack's, Brittany Kristin and
- 52:07Speaker 1: Luke came in and they chatted with us for a minute.
- 52:09Speaker 1: They were because they knew Ryan. And then Jack came
- 52:12Speaker 1: up as like he's going on, you know, like just
- 52:14Speaker 1: so nuts. And then just and I'd met him before too,
- 52:16Speaker 1: and I reminded him. He's like, oh yeah. I was like,
- 52:18Speaker 1: you don't get away, but he was like busting our
- 52:20Speaker 1: table and I was like, wow, you have a lot
- 52:22Speaker 1: of energy. Should have a lot of energy. But they
- 52:25Speaker 1: had they were separated at that time. She did not
- 52:28Speaker 1: speak to him.
- 52:30Speaker 4: Wow.
- 52:30Speaker 1: She was like hey, y'all and just kept going that
- 52:32Speaker 1: was it.
- 52:35Speaker 3: Drive by there all the time. I would love to
- 52:37Speaker 3: I would love to meet Jason. He's a cutie.
- 52:40Speaker 1: He is adorable and he Matt Marr of Reality Gays
- 52:43Speaker 1: used to work in the same law firm as he did.
- 52:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I heard you say that. I want to meet
- 52:48Speaker 2: those two too, making the Jake and Matt. Sorry, I
- 52:51Speaker 2: love their show as well. Of course.
- 52:55Speaker 3: Him.
- 52:56Speaker 1: Yeah, he was like, do you want to get you
- 52:58Speaker 1: an interview with Jason? I go no, I think he's
- 52:59Speaker 1: too nu. I don't think he would. They were just
- 53:03Speaker 1: don't watching what happens like Jason and Janet, and he
- 53:05Speaker 1: just loves him some Janet just anything. He's like, she's
- 53:08Speaker 1: so crazy. He doesn't care. He's just like, that's what
- 53:10Speaker 1: she does, that's my wife. It's cute.
- 53:13Speaker 2: Well, but they're coming for him right with the whole
- 53:16Speaker 2: you know, he doesn't wear his wedding ring.
- 53:18Speaker 3: Jason's going down.
- 53:20Speaker 2: Unfortunately, Janet, who would normally be the one to do it.
- 53:23Speaker 3: Is not going to do it, so someone else is
- 53:24Speaker 3: going to have to do it.
- 53:26Speaker 1: Jason's not going down. They don't have anything on him.
- 53:28Speaker 1: He's very squeaky clean. Like they did one of those
- 53:30Speaker 1: like you know, you know the dating shows that I
- 53:33Speaker 1: used to have that you write something on the board
- 53:35Speaker 1: and you turn around your answer. Both couples did it
- 53:37Speaker 1: and it was like, where's the craziest place you've ever
- 53:39Speaker 1: had sex? They both answered couch?
- 53:41Speaker 3: The couch, yeah, And I was like.
- 53:45Speaker 1: And then it was like, what's what's your favorite sex position?
- 53:48Speaker 1: The both like missionary and He's like, wow, you guys
- 53:50Speaker 1: are getting real crazy on the couch over there. So no, no,
- 53:55Speaker 1: Jason's not going down. I think he's just I think
- 53:57Speaker 1: he is as presented, just a nice guy.
- 54:00Speaker 2: I love him, But that show anything could happen, so.
- 54:04Speaker 1: Well, that's true. Well, I'm gonna remember this so when
