- 0:06Speaker 1: Dancing.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Sex education is an important section in the fifth grade.
- 0:26Speaker 2: I that's gonna be.
- 0:28Speaker 3: They don't have to say that you walk down every
- 0:30Speaker 3: time it does something weird.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Aren't you an educator?
- 0:34Speaker 4: No, we don't. We don't teach sex at anymore. It
- 0:36Speaker 4: was removed from our curriculum.
- 0:38Speaker 2: But what's going on? Everybody? Welcome to this degenerate piece
- 0:42Speaker 2: of ship show well known as Corner. That's a quick donation.
- 0:47Speaker 2: It was a long weekend, but we got all your
- 0:53Speaker 2: favorite misfits. We got the drazz boar, Hey, guys, how's
- 0:59Speaker 2: it going? Walk is of ewoks.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Key forge community?
- 1:09Speaker 2: Sorry, sex said, Sex said anyways, and sheep got distracted
- 1:13Speaker 2: by a shiny object, so we got pete what it is?
- 1:17Speaker 2: What to do? Yeah? I would expect nothing less, But
- 1:21Speaker 2: here we are. It is the Grand Roseville Show. If
- 1:25Speaker 2: you weren't there watching it on stream, this is all
- 1:29Speaker 2: the things you need to know and all the things
- 1:31Speaker 2: you missed. We had a ton of fun.
- 1:33Speaker 4: At Roseveld, not to ever hear about.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Sex ed and I don't know I could learn a
- 1:43Speaker 2: thing or two. But it's time for the Roosevelt recap show.
- 1:47Speaker 2: We'll get to see who won everything and who gets
- 1:50Speaker 2: bragging rights for the most predictions correct. We had twenty four,
- 1:55Speaker 2: a new all time low thanks to Gigi. Oh it
- 2:01Speaker 2: would have been nice to be like an all time high,
- 2:03Speaker 2: but no, it was an all time low.
- 2:05Speaker 4: That that one did hurt. So Wookie just going to
- 2:09Speaker 4: jump right into this. Prediction wise, you were the closest,
- 2:12Speaker 4: but Price's right rules you were even over at twenty seven.
- 2:18Speaker 2: So we all lose, no, I mean real losers, Gloss
- 2:22Speaker 2: Ghost Galaxy.
- 2:24Speaker 4: Yeah, you were there at twenty seven, Drazz at thirty two,
- 2:27Speaker 4: you walk thirty five. Sheep just went way over.
- 2:30Speaker 2: It was like fifty something, didn't he.
- 2:32Speaker 4: He said fifty and JT we threw in he had
- 2:34Speaker 4: fifty one.
- 2:35Speaker 2: So all right, So going up Thursday night, we were
- 2:42Speaker 2: greeting greeted to a bunch of hockey people in the
- 2:44Speaker 2: lobby because there was also a hockey tournament going on. Yeah, yeah,
- 2:50Speaker 2: some I don't know if it was a Midwest thing
- 2:53Speaker 2: or what. I know there was a Wisconsin team there
- 2:55Speaker 2: and there was a few. I wasn't a high school thing.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Was it a college thing? What? What was it? Did
- 3:00Speaker 2: you get any sort of info? I wasn't really paying attention.
- 3:04Speaker 4: Yeah, these were college students from what I had seen
- 3:08Speaker 4: actually pretty high level college kids playing hockey, and it
- 3:13Speaker 4: was really really neat to be able to see that
- 3:16Speaker 4: section there. You also missed that we dodged a whole
- 3:21Speaker 4: bunch of storms in the middle we did was like
- 3:23Speaker 4: absolutely hammered.
- 3:24Speaker 2: So well, okay, so here's here's what I heard. Because
- 3:28Speaker 2: my wife was really concerned about the storms. Right we
- 3:31Speaker 2: were headed out. I'm gonna get all my treats here.
- 3:33Speaker 2: We were headed out, and you know, the first thing, man,
- 3:36Speaker 2: I was like, oh, there's gonna be a bud like
- 3:37Speaker 2: bad storms, like hail, Like I think it was like
- 3:41Speaker 2: forty five to fifty mile an hour winds. It was
- 3:45Speaker 2: supposed to be terrible, awful bad. We dodged all of that,
- 3:49Speaker 2: probably by the hair of our chinny chin chins, would
- 3:52Speaker 2: be my guess. Yeah.
- 3:53Speaker 4: No, we actually lucked out on the timing in that
- 3:57Speaker 4: we hit a few rain drops, but like there was
- 4:01Speaker 4: hail that was three and a half inches that hit
- 4:03Speaker 4: and kind of went through.
- 4:05Speaker 2: I heard that was all north of us though, Well
- 4:08Speaker 2: that was like the West Bend area. Yeah it was, yeah,
- 4:14Speaker 2: it was it was.
- 4:16Speaker 4: Yeah, it was really really bad, but it was just
- 4:18Speaker 4: north of where I am by probably about fifteen minutes.
- 4:22Speaker 4: But how we slipped. We went out west and then north,
- 4:25Speaker 4: I mean everything to the north it was really this eerie,
- 4:29Speaker 4: kind of purplish black corn. Yeah, but where we were
- 4:33Speaker 4: it was, you know, nice sunshine, and we lucked out.
- 4:35Speaker 2: So yeah, we went to a sweet Mexican restaurant. Yeah,
- 4:40Speaker 2: had nacho. Oh, I had dachos. I think she had
- 4:42Speaker 2: nachos too. I don't know what you guys had. Street
- 4:46Speaker 2: tacos I had, Oh, no, I had I had. I
- 4:49Speaker 2: had the nachos and some street corns Mexican street corn, YEP.
- 4:53Speaker 4: And Sydney and I had street tacos.
- 4:55Speaker 2: And then you were.
- 4:58Speaker 3: She got the lengua. The lengua, for those of you
- 5:02Speaker 3: who don't know what lingua is, that is tongue, also
- 5:07Speaker 3: known as gross.
- 5:08Speaker 2: You like the tongue, you know.
- 5:10Speaker 3: I'm not a huge l I've had lengla, but I'm good,
- 5:15Speaker 3: and I don't want to come back to lengla.
- 5:19Speaker 2: I mean, I'm good with just all sorts of tacos. Well,
- 5:22Speaker 2: I mean, legua is good if done properly right, but
- 5:25Speaker 2: I've had a whole lot of not done proper lngua
- 5:28Speaker 2: and it just it ruins that all the other ones
- 5:30Speaker 2: for you. So I could see that. What did you
- 5:33Speaker 2: what did you What kind of tacos do you have?
- 5:35Speaker 2: You walk? Oh?
- 5:36Speaker 4: I actually hit us a Berria. Well that was so early.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Oh you went, you went with a gamut. I remember
- 5:46Speaker 2: behind you.
- 5:47Speaker 4: I had three different types, but I honestly pork was one,
- 5:51Speaker 4: asado a steak was another, and then there was something
- 5:54Speaker 4: else that was there. I don't remember off the top
- 5:55Speaker 4: of my head.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't remember.
- 5:56Speaker 4: It was actually three tacos would definitely be a spot
- 5:59Speaker 4: that we we would hit again.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Absolutely, that's better. Normally normally we hit mac and cheese,
- 6:05Speaker 2: but we saw we saw taco join and so we
- 6:07Speaker 2: went there.
- 6:09Speaker 4: Uh. They also had the sweetest little burrow that we
- 6:13Speaker 4: got to ride. Mm hmm.
- 6:16Speaker 2: You could find pictures of that maybe on our Instagram
- 6:18Speaker 2: if I remember to post them.
- 6:20Speaker 3: You were riding a donkey. Yeah, it was an inflatable donkey.
- 6:23Speaker 3: So we decided to write them any.
- 6:25Speaker 4: Yeah, that is that is the best. Yeah, that is
- 6:29Speaker 4: the best way to be able to come into the vault.
- 6:32Speaker 4: So we had to.
- 6:32Speaker 2: We had fun. Yeah, oh I feel like you posted these.
- 6:35Speaker 3: Yeah, they're in They're in the discord there. Yeah, yeah,
- 6:39Speaker 3: I was getting sad about not being there. Yeah, it
- 6:41Speaker 3: was a good time. We we we ate nachos on
- 6:44Speaker 3: road donkeys. What's not to love like?
- 6:48Speaker 2: A good ass time? Yeah, it was in more ways
- 6:52Speaker 2: than one, because we're assholes and clowns. Get it, Glad
- 6:58Speaker 2: you explained that, Yes, not a problem. And then we
- 7:01Speaker 2: got in and drank kopia. Well I drank copious amounts
- 7:04Speaker 2: of alcohol. I think Ewok kept himself up right.
- 7:08Speaker 4: Yep, that's what we did, enjoy a beverage.
- 7:11Speaker 2: We played Skulls and I can't remember what other games
- 7:15Speaker 2: we played, but we drank because we had to set
- 7:19Speaker 2: up all the bottles right with the stickers that I made.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Because I made stickers and got there, we had them
- 7:26Speaker 2: printed off and put them on bottles with everybody's corresponding alcohol. Yeah,
- 7:31Speaker 2: this was pretty awesome. You have to you have to
- 7:33Speaker 2: explain this. So I don't know where the idea came from,
- 7:39Speaker 2: but somebody had said everybody should get like their old liquor.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Like I think I was Malorton, Jegermeister. You let's see,
- 7:49Speaker 2: DRez what were you you were? Rom Ewok was remind
- 7:54Speaker 2: me he was the sleeping scotch. Oh that's right. He
- 7:58Speaker 2: yeah he was. He was a whiskey of some sort.
- 8:01Speaker 2: But you know, we went, we got we got that,
- 8:05Speaker 2: and General basically generated labels for all of them, right,
- 8:09Speaker 2: and then stuck them to the corresponding alcohol. I believe
- 8:14Speaker 2: that's in the Roseville section as well, if I'm not mistaken,
- 8:20Speaker 2: was actually in there.
- 8:21Speaker 3: Oh yeah, here we go. So here's Sydney climbing up
- 8:26Speaker 3: on top of you. Yeah, that sounds about right behind
- 8:29Speaker 3: the bottles.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Yep, yep. So and if you scroll down a little bit,
- 8:33Speaker 2: Ewok's climbing on top of me because he's a weirdo. Yeah,
- 8:37Speaker 2: I mean we knew this, yeah, cowboy, Yeah, I mean
- 8:41Speaker 2: why not. Wow?
- 8:45Speaker 3: But so I'm gonna open this a browsers so I
- 8:47Speaker 3: can zum a bit there.
- 8:51Speaker 4: I did think it was funny that people were like,
- 8:53Speaker 4: oh yeah, these embarrassing photos. Like, No, that was before
- 8:58Speaker 4: beverages were participate on. That's just us having fun.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Wookie is about three quarters of a bottle of Yaegermeister
- 9:05Speaker 2: in at that point. I don't know what you're talking about.
- 9:08Speaker 2: That was pretty deep. I took some alert shots. I
- 9:11Speaker 2: took some Yeagermeister shots. Maybe another alert shot more Yeagermeister shots.
- 9:18Speaker 2: I was pretty deep into that bottle already.
- 9:21Speaker 3: I love we got a baby bottle Doctor Sheep Port,
- 9:25Speaker 3: which is pretty hilarious because that's got a sheep in
- 9:29Speaker 3: a suit with a little bow tie.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Yeah, and he's holding a glass of holding a glass
- 9:34Speaker 2: of wine or she likes to call it boozy raisins
- 9:39Speaker 2: boozy raisin.
- 9:40Speaker 3: So that was pretty good. Mm hm God, Let's say we've.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Got the Slumbering Glen, which is sleeping. You walk like
- 9:48Speaker 2: sleeping while sitting, which is amazing.
- 9:50Speaker 3: But you got to read his catch line. It's a
- 9:53Speaker 3: little one blocked in this just the picture. Oh yeah,
- 9:57Speaker 3: I believe that. The oh man, I gotta find it.
- 10:01Speaker 2: It was like moved by nothing, aged by time or
- 10:07Speaker 2: something like that.
- 10:09Speaker 3: You know, I think the it's probably the opposite or
- 10:11Speaker 3: age by time. Moved by nothing is probably what it says.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Let me, let me go find it. I will.
- 10:15Speaker 3: I will be able to find it because we just
- 10:18Speaker 3: pretty good. I had posted these all somewhere. Let's say
- 10:22Speaker 3: there's a help from future self one. Yeah, here we go,
- 10:25Speaker 3: aged by time, Yeah, moved by none, pretty good.
- 10:31Speaker 2: I like that one. Might be the best. That might
- 10:34Speaker 2: be the best label. It's pretty hilarious trying to think.
- 10:38Speaker 4: Yeah, there were there were plenty of really good ones.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Drazz Yours is their front and center. What did you have?
- 10:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I had the.
- 10:47Speaker 3: Drascore Vintage Rum. So it's the podcast the podcasting Rum. So, uh,
- 10:54Speaker 3: pretty cool label. It's got a cool barrel on it
- 10:57Speaker 3: and some I don't know what those are, so it
- 10:59Speaker 3: was some illuminati symbols or something. I don't know what
- 11:03Speaker 3: those are, but it's pretty cool looking.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Yours was one of the original ones I make, because
- 11:08Speaker 2: I had made you a few, but they all for
- 11:12Speaker 2: whatever reason. Whenever you type your name into AI, it
- 11:16Speaker 2: just ends up looking like a wookie because I think
- 11:19Speaker 2: it picks up on the show and my name is
- 11:21Speaker 2: usually in the beginning, so it's like, oh, that's what
- 11:24Speaker 2: it must be. But I did make the jazz Core Experience.
- 11:27Speaker 2: I showed you guys that when it was the Rum.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Yeah it was brewed in the deepest forge.
- 11:33Speaker 3: But you know, rum's not brood. Yeah, well it's not,
- 11:37Speaker 3: so you know, well exactly, so.
- 11:41Speaker 2: We had the what else we got here?
- 11:44Speaker 4: Well, you you have a number of different podcasters, so
- 11:49Speaker 4: both Jason and Tobin had were represented. Yep, you had
- 11:53Speaker 4: help from Future so that's work Astra Forge. You had
- 11:56Speaker 4: help from Future self and Sydney had hers. We had
- 12:01Speaker 4: some even from the team of reapouts that h that
- 12:06Speaker 4: that showed up. We had judges that was here with.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I made the flaming hall Ball pick Whitney, pink
- 12:12Speaker 2: Whitney an amarretto for Marcus your local team dress Corps redacted.
- 12:20Speaker 2: So Liquid made some of his own that he had with.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Actually that wasn't bad. The squash it was actually really good.
- 12:30Speaker 3: Yeah, so that yeah, that was so he made a
- 12:35Speaker 3: squash infused old fashion so he I think.
- 12:42Speaker 2: My guess I have to ask him how exactly he did.
- 12:44Speaker 3: My guess is he sliced up some some squash, dried
- 12:49Speaker 3: it out, infused it in the whiskey.
- 12:52Speaker 2: And then made a old fashioned mix with some some bitters,
- 12:58Speaker 2: little sugar, well of sugar. And it was very sugary.
- 13:02Speaker 3: And it was it so it was sweet, but it
- 13:05Speaker 3: was balanced right, it was it was.
- 13:07Speaker 2: It was.
- 13:08Speaker 3: It was good like sometimes you can overdo the sugar,
- 13:10Speaker 3: but it was really good. The squashiness was there, but
- 13:17Speaker 3: it was there in a way that blended and it was.
- 13:20Speaker 2: It was delicious, and you can also tell what squash
- 13:23Speaker 2: it was, believe it or not. What squash did you
- 13:27Speaker 2: think it was? I knew exactly what kind of squash
- 13:32Speaker 2: he used. Liquid? No, that was that was the whole thing,
- 13:35Speaker 2: was liquid squash. I'm gonna say it was a acorn.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Squash now that I don't really remember at the moment.
- 13:45Speaker 2: It was a spaghetti squash. I thought I very very
- 13:49Speaker 2: much tasted like a butternut. That's what I might have been.
- 13:56Speaker 2: But slash is what I'm going with. I do not know.
- 13:59Speaker 4: I will tell you that the beverages were very, very good.
- 14:03Speaker 4: I will say for the sweetness it was, there was
- 14:06Speaker 4: no issue there. It masks the alcohol that was good
- 14:09Speaker 4: extremely well, and that that could be extremely dangerous. Just
- 14:14Speaker 4: counting our bottles that were here. There was also some
- 14:17Speaker 4: extras from KFC that was brought up, but the labeled
- 14:21Speaker 4: bottles that we had were nineteen they were so eighteen
- 14:25Speaker 4: and then the one set of Guinness, so it was
- 14:29Speaker 4: there was plenty of beverages.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Plenty to go round. Plus we had a bottle of
- 14:34Speaker 2: Bailey's Irish Cream from nineteen ninety seven. Yes not from
- 14:39Speaker 2: nineteen ninety seven, but expired in seven ninety seven.
- 14:47Speaker 3: I guess Sydney took this from her parents' basement. She's like,
- 14:50Speaker 3: they're not going to drink this, just like made off
- 14:52Speaker 3: with it.
- 14:53Speaker 2: So yeah, which was great because me and Mammon, I
- 14:58Speaker 2: think at the end of night two poured out what
- 15:00Speaker 2: little liquid was left in it, and it couldn't have
- 15:03Speaker 2: been more than seven drops, right, like it was so
- 15:08Speaker 2: little and the rest was the rest was just hard
- 15:14Speaker 2: on the inside, like it all curdled over the decades
- 15:21Speaker 2: and if you needed to wake up in a hurry,
- 15:24Speaker 2: I sow it up quickly after I took a whif
- 15:26Speaker 2: from that. Oh god, like it was bad. It was
- 15:32Speaker 2: really pretty outrageous, but it was. It was interesting. But
- 15:38Speaker 2: that's the end of Thursday. N I'd headed into Friday morning,
- 15:41Speaker 2: sealed Drazz and Mammon, you guys, well, Mamon's not here,
- 15:45Speaker 2: but Drazz, you went Mesan, what is Messan?
- 15:49Speaker 3: Well okay, so so so Mamon d g and myself right,
- 15:53Speaker 3: so he's he's.
- 15:55Speaker 2: A local here.
- 15:56Speaker 3: We were like, all right, we're gonna, you know, drive
- 15:59Speaker 3: to the airport together Friday morning. There was a cheap
- 16:01Speaker 3: flight Friday morning. For whatever reason, all the flights.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Thursday night were expensive and so it was like, whatever,
- 16:07Speaker 2: we'll just get the Friday morning fight flight. It'll be fine.
- 16:10Speaker 3: And so Man's like, hey, you know, I don't got
- 16:13Speaker 3: tsa pre check, like I want to make sure him
- 16:14Speaker 3: there two hours in advance. I was like okay, cool,
- 16:19Speaker 3: and he's like, yeah, we should ride together. So like,
- 16:21Speaker 3: come to your house, leave my car there, we'll drive together.
- 16:23Speaker 3: I was like, yeah, it's cool. He's like, i'll see
- 16:27Speaker 3: you at three am, and I went, wait, what.
- 16:33Speaker 2: A little bath. I was like, oh shit, he's right.
- 16:38Speaker 3: We had to be driving at three am to get
- 16:40Speaker 3: to the airport two hours in advance, and so that
- 16:45Speaker 3: was a little bit rough.
- 16:46Speaker 2: I was like, why did we do this to ourselves?
- 16:51Speaker 3: But yeah, we drove all the way to the airport
- 16:54Speaker 3: and got got in, got our flight, and flew flew
- 17:00Speaker 3: into Minneapolis. We took an uber directly to Meissant. So
- 17:07Speaker 3: Meissant is a Vietnamese cusin. Yeah, it's like Vietnamese bakery
- 17:16Speaker 3: and restaurant situation. So and it's delicious. It's like right
- 17:21Speaker 3: near the game center.
- 17:23Speaker 4: I will second this. It is. It is absolutely delicious,
- 17:26Speaker 4: like very slightly.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Their bread is so good.
- 17:29Speaker 3: The croissants are amazing, and you can get their bombny sandwiches,
- 17:35Speaker 3: which you know if you throw an egg in there,
- 17:39Speaker 3: that makes it breakfast. Right, So we go we get
- 17:41Speaker 3: these things. We're just like, oh right, and then get
- 17:44Speaker 3: some croissants now and some coffee because we needed the
- 17:48Speaker 3: coffee and it was delicious, so it was a.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Great way coffee.
- 17:58Speaker 3: So I get strong, Well, it's it's it is, but
- 18:04Speaker 3: then it's cut with condensed milk. Oh, so it's also
- 18:07Speaker 3: very sweet sweet and that's not really my it's not
- 18:12Speaker 3: your jam.
- 18:12Speaker 2: I did not get the Vietmese.
- 18:14Speaker 4: Yeah, the answer to your question is yes, because I
- 18:17Speaker 4: can go ahead and look online. So house coffee, cold press,
- 18:22Speaker 4: Chai tea, Lat's say in Vietnamese coffee.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Nice.
- 18:25Speaker 3: Yeah, so I just did uh check it out. I
- 18:27Speaker 3: didn't get the Vitamese coffee, but I did get coffee.
- 18:30Speaker 2: So so we move in to Friday morning. Sealed boys,
- 18:36Speaker 2: how'd y'all do? How'd you? How are your decks?
- 18:40Speaker 4: Well, let's start with Pete because he's he's quiet and
- 18:43Speaker 4: this is definitely for him. Come on, Pete, and he.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Joined us for for me, by the way, so we
- 18:49Speaker 3: texted he was like, oh, yeah, I'll be there.
- 18:52Speaker 2: So he shows up. Oh ship in the morning, ship,
- 18:55Speaker 2: Yeah ship, Pete, you made top eight.
- 18:59Speaker 4: Well that's way premature, like way, way way premature. I
- 19:05Speaker 4: will pay your dollar because you're excited for our teammates
- 19:07Speaker 4: and what's there.
- 19:08Speaker 2: But I totally didn't realize that I was just like
- 19:11Speaker 2: top eight. Not only do we popular, charly, we did
- 19:13Speaker 2: make it top eight.
- 19:16Speaker 5: Oh god, so that's so gross. I wanted to talk
- 19:19Speaker 5: about massots some more. Is that how you pronounce it? Yeah? Sure, okay?
- 19:26Speaker 5: And I said, hey, I'm going to McDonald's. What's everybody
- 19:28Speaker 5: else doing? And then grand Score responded like, we're going
- 19:32Speaker 5: to mis salt. And I didn't know what it was.
- 19:34Speaker 5: I just knew it sounded above my pay grade. So
- 19:38Speaker 5: I ate my McDonald's in the parking lot, like five
- 19:40Speaker 5: feet away from them. When it got inside, they were
- 19:45Speaker 5: literally sitting right in the window where I was eating.
- 19:48Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, but uh, you know, I got something while
- 19:51Speaker 5: I was there. I didn't want to be cheap, so
- 19:53Speaker 5: I got something exotic. It's called the Americano.
- 19:57Speaker 2: That's just coffee. I know. It was the.
- 20:03Speaker 5: Dribbliest goddamn coffee I've ever had. The whole morning somehow,
- 20:07Speaker 5: I don't know, I was cleaning it up anyway. Sealeds
- 20:11Speaker 5: Sealed was awesome. I went four and two just like
- 20:14Speaker 5: I did at KFC, except this time around four and
- 20:17Speaker 5: two gets you top eight.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Well, there's only twenty four, that's right.
- 20:22Speaker 4: I think that you made the smartest choice though, because
- 20:25Speaker 4: you chose packet number twenty eight. And you should definitely
- 20:29Speaker 4: go check out Help from futureself because apparently that was
- 20:31Speaker 4: supposed to go to Devin and he passed on it.
- 20:34Speaker 4: And I was trying to be gracious and say, no,
- 20:36Speaker 4: which one would you like?
- 20:37Speaker 2: Yep, No, the correct packet to choose was packet one
- 20:41Speaker 2: seventy one. Well, which was Sheep because when me and
- 20:45Speaker 2: Sheep went up together and I said I'll teach, Marcus
- 20:49Speaker 2: gave me my option of two and I said, I'll
- 20:51Speaker 2: take this one and she said, I'll just take the
- 20:53Speaker 2: other one. You'll find out why this is important later.
- 20:59Speaker 4: Well for anyone following along with our ac live show,
- 21:02Speaker 4: we do have a couple of people in the audience.
- 21:04Speaker 4: I posted my sweet three decks and the highlights out
- 21:09Speaker 4: of these three was Lunicrous Sorry Luna Crisis, the vizier
- 21:16Speaker 4: of the hawk coming in at amber. Sky's a whopping
- 21:19Speaker 4: fifty eight sass. That's right, and why no, no, no,
- 21:26Speaker 4: that that was definitely the lowest there. But this, this
- 21:29Speaker 4: Brobner pod, I think it deserves some attention because it
- 21:32Speaker 4: had quad serious mace. Anyone who is unfamiliar with this
- 21:37Speaker 4: sweet Brobner artifact action give a creature two plus one
- 21:40Speaker 4: power counters, deal too damage to each of that creature's neighbors.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Yeah that's yeah.
- 21:47Speaker 4: Yeah, there were a couple of things, but apparently my
- 21:52Speaker 4: whole option was I'm gonna play creatures. So if you
- 21:57Speaker 4: had wipes, which is really key in sealed that that's
- 22:00Speaker 4: going to hurt all three of these decks they had
- 22:03Speaker 4: no amber, seven amber, eight amber, and then one of
- 22:06Speaker 4: that had twelve amber properly spread out between the houses.
- 22:11Speaker 4: So yeah, I did manage to take a win though,
- 22:16Speaker 4: So I went one and two, and I think the
- 22:21Speaker 4: highlights here is there is a disc package and the
- 22:25Speaker 4: excellent Alchemists where it has learned invidious drumble dust and
- 22:30Speaker 4: double a rise gift November. They tell no tales clipped wings.
- 22:35Speaker 4: This isn't the worst double suspend amander, And so I
- 22:38Speaker 4: played that, but I really had a lot of fun.
- 22:43Speaker 4: In game number one was I was down a key
- 22:47Speaker 4: and I landed in videous right in the center, and
- 22:54Speaker 4: my opponent made a choice to play daughter.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, continue so you can steal it.
- 23:06Speaker 4: Well, but they they really helped me because they put
- 23:11Speaker 4: this other card, this logos card where you can't play
- 23:16Speaker 4: creatures larger than its power.
- 23:23Speaker 2: I'm trying to decide whether my yes is so good
- 23:28Speaker 2: in seahaled guys, Oh my god, I sorry, but.
- 23:31Speaker 4: Going but going ahead and stealing a daughter with dedas
- 23:34Speaker 4: where I got to draw off of it and then
- 23:36Speaker 4: it was put behind taunt pretty much shut down that game.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Well hold on, I got one.
- 23:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I felt really bad about that, but that was
- 23:46Speaker 4: the only way I worked my way back into that game.
- 23:49Speaker 4: And uh the next games, yeah, without DDAs and without
- 23:53Speaker 4: a daughter that I had taken. It was pretty much
- 23:57Speaker 4: if you could build, if you could destroy my board.
- 24:00Speaker 4: I had very little. And that's what I saw is
- 24:02Speaker 4: there was a lot of c actually going around in
- 24:04Speaker 4: the people I faced. So I'd placed the board. Whoop,
- 24:06Speaker 4: it got wiped. I place the board.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I had tons of sea yeah, tons.
- 24:10Speaker 4: Of but I go ahead, what did you do.
- 24:13Speaker 2: So my game one. This is probably the best game
- 24:15Speaker 2: I had too, right, I think I went two and two,
- 24:18Speaker 2: maybe three and two, I don't even remember. It was
- 24:20Speaker 2: probably three and two. Not very good. As you can
- 24:24Speaker 2: see my seventy four sixty eight, seventy four, nothing really
- 24:31Speaker 2: crazy or cool. You can watch my game versus Sheep
- 24:35Speaker 2: on on stream where I have a dominant control over
- 24:39Speaker 2: the game until all of his Brobnar hit literally all
- 24:44Speaker 2: of them. I think within the span of two turns.
- 24:47Speaker 2: He played twelve Brobnar cards, so I got the whole
- 24:51Speaker 2: Brobnar house to just come wreck me. But Game one,
- 24:55Speaker 2: I'm going up against Gorlami. Gorlami out negotiates, kills my creatures,
- 25:01Speaker 2: wipes the board. And then what's the one where was
- 25:05Speaker 2: high stakes negotiation? Was it high stakes turn? The one
- 25:12Speaker 2: where you name a card and you picture, you know,
- 25:14Speaker 2: he discards a random card from your hand until he
- 25:17Speaker 2: either hits one of that house or high Street Turn. Well,
- 25:22Speaker 2: all I had was Brobnar. There it is high Streets Turn.
- 25:26Speaker 2: All I had was Brobnar, and he chose Skyborn. So
- 25:30Speaker 2: I had to discard my whole hand and draw a
- 25:32Speaker 2: new hand and to turn promptly. No creatures on board,
- 25:37Speaker 2: and I'm like, oh my gosh, because that drew me
- 25:41Speaker 2: into a d DOS with a mouse. M is it
- 25:49Speaker 2: the woman? No? What was it? Durable Rico Sara Soda
- 25:55Speaker 2: has a quantum mouse and a d DOSS. So I
- 25:58Speaker 2: play my quantum mouse and I kind of look up
- 26:01Speaker 2: and I go de dos and Gorlambie looks down and
- 26:05Speaker 2: he just goes, what does that do, reads the card
- 26:08Speaker 2: and goes, oh, ship, that's gonna be a problem. He
- 26:14Speaker 2: had no one power creatures in his deck and no
- 26:20Speaker 2: scene and no removal to kill it. He was just
- 26:24Speaker 2: out negotiate already.
- 26:26Speaker 4: Yep, it's real good and sealed.
- 26:30Speaker 3: So yeah, that was pretty awesome. I'm not gonna lie
- 26:33Speaker 3: to nobody that was I had a good time game one.
- 26:38Speaker 3: I would not again see that that combination of cards
- 26:41Speaker 3: in my hand, but it was hey, it was his
- 26:44Speaker 3: own doing. He made me discards of hand. I was
- 26:47Speaker 3: promptly gonna go into Bromnar next turn. We so, speaking
- 26:53Speaker 3: of uh Golami, I don't know if because Glabi has
- 26:58Speaker 3: this this terrible feet against poor against Wookie, poor girl lobby.
- 27:03Speaker 3: So then next round, guess who got paired up? You
- 27:07Speaker 3: and Glabby Corlobby paired up into me. I just run
- 27:13Speaker 3: over the d I felt so bad. It was like
- 27:17Speaker 3: it was like, how did you lose? I was like, oh, no, dude,
- 27:21Speaker 3: you must have gotten paired up. Sorry dude, I don't No.
- 27:27Speaker 4: No, team guys, Team reap out really took a lot
- 27:31Speaker 4: of two. There were a lot of people.
- 27:34Speaker 2: To be fair, there was only four of them.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Hey if we well, I and I poor girl lobby
- 27:41Speaker 3: like that. The didn't paired up chat with his deck.
- 27:45Speaker 3: He paired up a Shoutow's decks. He I don't think
- 27:47Speaker 3: he had a lot of options. He's a great player.
- 27:49Speaker 3: And sometimes and sealed you just actually Roseville last year
- 27:53Speaker 3: when I opened my sealed stuff, I was like, well,
- 27:55Speaker 3: if I win a single game, I will feel good
- 27:57Speaker 3: about myself.
- 27:58Speaker 2: H So, so this it can happen sometimes.
- 28:01Speaker 4: And I think that that's what needs to be kept
- 28:03Speaker 4: in mind for everyone who's playing and kind of falling along.
- 28:06Speaker 4: If you open and there's some decks, you can go
- 28:09Speaker 4: ahead an alliance all you want, it's not going to
- 28:11Speaker 4: help you. And so to realize if you can pull
- 28:13Speaker 4: one win, that's a really big day for you. And
- 28:16Speaker 4: that's that's a that's a success. It may not. It
- 28:20Speaker 4: may not get you to top eight, it may not
- 28:22Speaker 4: get you to first place that you want, but just
- 28:25Speaker 4: pulling a win with a deck that you put together
- 28:27Speaker 4: is important. I will say, though, Wookie, the highlight of
- 28:31Speaker 4: Sealed Experience is you guys, Uh, Friday morning went to
- 28:35Speaker 4: a local establishment and bought some hats.
- 28:39Speaker 2: Oh yeah, so we had to run a Walmart in
- 28:41Speaker 2: the morning. I told you, because we we all okay,
- 28:43Speaker 2: So here's the thing. We decided to drink Thursday night
- 28:47Speaker 2: and then promptly realized we had zero mixers, so all
- 28:51Speaker 2: of Thursday was just drinking straight booze sweet. So we're like, yeah,
- 28:56Speaker 2: we need mixers. So we went to the Star and I, ah, man,
- 29:02Speaker 2: I don't know who I'm waiting for. I might have
- 29:04Speaker 2: been waiting for both of them. And I'm like, ah,
- 29:09Speaker 2: fuck it, what's down here? You know, you guys have
- 29:12Speaker 2: all been to the shopping with your wives, right, You're
- 29:16Speaker 2: welcome for my donation. I don't know if you noticed.
- 29:18Speaker 2: We scared our new teammate off already. I went shit,
- 29:20Speaker 2: shit shit, and she just ran away. But anyways, she'll
- 29:26Speaker 2: put right in. It'll be fine. But like I was like,
- 29:30Speaker 2: I'm gonna go poke down here, and I'm poking around
- 29:34Speaker 2: and we found cowboy. We found three cowboy hats, but
- 29:37Speaker 2: was a bud light, a bush light. What was the
- 29:42Speaker 2: third one? It just was a wicker No, no, no,
- 29:46Speaker 2: because there was three cowboy hats. That was that was
- 29:48Speaker 2: Miller Miller light. I thought it was Miller.
- 29:51Speaker 4: Yeah, that's the one I ended up with.
- 29:54Speaker 2: And actually, and then we bought we bought no no
- 29:57Speaker 2: because there was a Miller light one, but that was
- 30:00Speaker 2: the woven hat. Because we bought three cowboy hats and
- 30:03Speaker 2: two woven hats. One was a fish and one was
- 30:06Speaker 2: Miller lte. We don't know how the fish get We
- 30:10Speaker 2: don't know how the fish got in there. One was
- 30:13Speaker 2: the light up one with the star up. Ah, that's right,
- 30:15Speaker 2: it was the light up one with the star yup.
- 30:17Speaker 2: They lit up and it was the stars. So we
- 30:19Speaker 2: came back and we decided, and again if you joined
- 30:22Speaker 2: the discord, you can see our awesome pictures of our
- 30:28Speaker 2: hats pretty much all weekend, and that kind of became
- 30:33Speaker 2: the what do you want to say? The theme of
- 30:39Speaker 2: the weekend was if you if you won, you got
- 30:41Speaker 2: to take their hat.
- 30:43Speaker 4: Yeah, and I actually it started as an off chance
- 30:46Speaker 4: my first game. I ended up playing Matt from Duluth
- 30:50Speaker 4: and that was his first vault and I love to
- 30:53Speaker 4: be able to see people, even with a decrease in individuals.
- 30:57Speaker 4: There were two new people at the vault that I
- 30:59Speaker 4: got a chance to me, and Matt was just he
- 31:01Speaker 4: was by himself. He's got a local scene, he's really
- 31:04Speaker 4: into the game. But he was the kindest person. He
- 31:08Speaker 4: was so excited for the game. And I had this
- 31:11Speaker 4: silly hat and I don't know why, but it just
- 31:15Speaker 4: it was saying I needed to give the hat to him,
- 31:18Speaker 4: and so I ended up giving the hat, like we
- 31:20Speaker 4: invited him, like if you're hanging out, if you're just
- 31:23Speaker 4: by yourself, you need to go get food with anyone.
- 31:25Speaker 4: Know that we are community, come find us. And that's
- 31:28Speaker 4: what Keith Forge is great for, is that at any
- 31:30Speaker 4: point in time, anyone who's new or experience can just
- 31:33Speaker 4: come along for food or drinks or just spending time.
- 31:37Speaker 4: And so Matt I gave the hat to At the
- 31:39Speaker 4: end of the game, he asked for me to sign it.
- 31:43Speaker 4: Sure went ahead and signed, but I kept seeing him
- 31:47Speaker 4: around still wearing that hat on Saturday on Sunday, like
- 31:52Speaker 4: I saw him with the hat and it was really
- 31:54Speaker 4: a sign of pride. Now, you didn't get the win
- 31:57Speaker 4: in that game, but it was important and I don't
- 32:01Speaker 4: know it just it was a really cool moment to
- 32:03Speaker 4: see his excitement to be able to see what was
- 32:05Speaker 4: all happening. And it caused then other people to start
- 32:09Speaker 4: to trade off the hats when they were lost. But
- 32:12Speaker 4: I just liked the idea of welcoming someone into our
- 32:14Speaker 4: key four community. So shout out to Matt. It was
- 32:17Speaker 4: a great game. I appreciate being able to have you
- 32:19Speaker 4: there man, and to see you enjoying that hat really
- 32:22Speaker 4: started the weekend off in the right path for me,
- 32:24Speaker 4: and it really was something special for me.
- 32:26Speaker 2: For those of you live, you can see I posted
- 32:29Speaker 2: a picture of the hats there you go. So that
- 32:35Speaker 2: that that bud light. That bud light hung out with
- 32:37Speaker 2: me pretty much all weekend. But either way, I.
- 32:44Speaker 4: Will say for games two and three, I faced Dave
- 32:46Speaker 4: C and reap out got revenge right there because double Arise,
- 32:51Speaker 4: double Vapor IMP is definitely something real. I got dis
- 32:57Speaker 4: YEP and then x ray and gave three. Basically, I
- 33:02Speaker 4: opened up Turn one, going first seven cards, I dropped
- 33:06Speaker 4: Lord and videos. He responded with the delta d Okay,
- 33:10Speaker 4: well I have a rise in my hand. Let's try
- 33:12Speaker 4: this again. I put it back out and he a
- 33:16Speaker 4: gift of embered it and that was pretty much that game.
- 33:19Speaker 4: I got blown out so again, getting win, having fun
- 33:23Speaker 4: being with the keyboard family. But sometimes you just you
- 33:28Speaker 4: lean into cards, you lean into what.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Still, I hate to say it, I only went two two,
- 33:32Speaker 2: three to two. Draz I don't know what you ended
- 33:36Speaker 2: up or b walk I got. Still, I got top eight.
- 33:40Speaker 2: The most fun I had all weekend still is sealed, right.
- 33:46Speaker 2: I didn't do great in it, yep, right, excuse me,
- 33:50Speaker 2: a little lah, a little uh or whatever. I'm not
- 33:53Speaker 2: even gonna explain it. But still, the whole weekend was
- 33:57Speaker 2: like you, you're not gonna explain it. It was like
- 34:01Speaker 2: a weird like hiccup Burt Fart combination. Like it was weird.
- 34:06Speaker 2: A whole lot of gases happened all the same A
- 34:09Speaker 2: whole lot of gases happened all at the same time,
- 34:11Speaker 2: but both and yeah, I know, and like I think,
- 34:14Speaker 2: I I think I lost my intestines now they're just gone.
- 34:18Speaker 4: But I appreciate anyone who is still with us.
- 34:24Speaker 2: But uh yeah, Like that's still the most part, Like
- 34:29Speaker 2: just that turn, that turn round one where you're like
- 34:33Speaker 2: where when I play the mouse and just look up
- 34:36Speaker 2: and godds right, and I kind of like looking for
- 34:41Speaker 2: like a reaction like this is a thing, and then
- 34:45Speaker 2: you you know, finding out that you're like, oh no,
- 34:48Speaker 2: and yes, that reaction was well worth the price of admission.
- 34:52Speaker 4: But that's that's what Sealed offers. And I still would
- 34:55Speaker 4: like to see Sealed with ARCon, Sealed with Alliance in
- 34:58Speaker 4: different days. I think that you'd actually at individuals would
- 35:02Speaker 4: be excited to be able to play Sealed twice and
- 35:04Speaker 4: feel like they have options. I mean, to be honest,
- 35:07Speaker 4: something that's unknown is really big.
- 35:10Speaker 2: To be honest with you, Like, if I was offered
- 35:13Speaker 2: Day two another Sealed event, I probably would have like,
- 35:16Speaker 2: if it's not a pod, right, I would have probably
- 35:19Speaker 2: played it. Honest, I probably would have played it. I
- 35:22Speaker 2: probably be like, yeah, Sealed, but we end day one
- 35:28Speaker 2: with oh no, you guys went, how did did we
- 35:31Speaker 2: end Day one? Sealed? So they did they go to
- 35:34Speaker 2: top four? Yeah?
- 35:35Speaker 4: They did play Top eight. So Team mc guys did
- 35:38Speaker 4: absolutely ridiculous, six out of the eight slots being taken.
- 35:43Speaker 4: It's a huge shout out to Pete, to X Ray,
- 35:47Speaker 4: to Man and DG to Drascore. You guys definitely took
- 35:50Speaker 4: that top eight slots.
- 35:52Speaker 2: You guys locked down all the bottom slots.
- 35:54Speaker 4: Way to go, guys, hey eight, I mean if we're here,
- 35:59Speaker 4: then who had a phenomenal weekend? And Captain Krisby did
- 36:03Speaker 4: top four and you want to do run?
- 36:07Speaker 2: Yeah, we fight as well. We we had a winner
- 36:10Speaker 2: of all of the all of the lands, all of sealed,
- 36:14Speaker 2: doctor Sheep, king of the small events. We need to
- 36:17Speaker 2: get we need to get him a crown. Yeah, and
- 36:20Speaker 2: our own sun runner up.
- 36:23Speaker 4: Yeah, Morgan went ahead and took a second. She played
- 36:26Speaker 4: really really well.
- 36:27Speaker 2: Both both that all decks ascended. I'm just kidding. None
- 36:30Speaker 2: of those decks were a Sunday because this is sealed.
- 36:35Speaker 2: But Friday night, where do we try to go Friday night?
- 36:39Speaker 2: I remember we didn't end up where we wanted to
- 36:41Speaker 2: be because we ended up at where where did we go?
- 36:48Speaker 3: Well, so, yeah, we originally were trying to go to uh,
- 36:53Speaker 3: what was the name of it. I think it was Surly.
- 36:56Speaker 3: It was Surly, but it was like an hour and
- 36:58Speaker 3: a half.
- 36:58Speaker 2: Wait.
- 37:00Speaker 3: Yeah, so so they were packed. It's a very popular place.
- 37:05Speaker 3: I I've thought about going a number of times. We
- 37:08Speaker 3: just never never made it there. So that was super packed.
- 37:12Speaker 2: So we ended up going.
- 37:14Speaker 3: I looked at a couple of the other breweries in
- 37:15Speaker 3: the area that because people were hungry and stuff, it
- 37:19Speaker 3: felt like some beers. So I actually looked at there
- 37:22Speaker 3: is literally Falling Knife Brewing l CTB got the got
- 37:28Speaker 3: the idea.
- 37:29Speaker 2: Oh I forgot. We got Josh.
- 37:30Speaker 3: We got Josh balls at the at Walmart too. Oh,
- 37:34Speaker 3: there you go the but yeah, Falling Knife did not
- 37:37Speaker 3: serve foods. We ended up at Insight Brewing, which which
- 37:41Speaker 3: was I thought was pretty good.
- 37:42Speaker 2: The beer was good. They had a pizza truck outside.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Some of their pizzas really good. Some of their pizzas
- 37:49Speaker 2: were Yeah, they were pretty tasty. I mean they were
- 37:52Speaker 2: a little pricey, but but they were very twenty dollars
- 37:55Speaker 2: for one of them tiny pizzas. I understand that's food
- 37:59Speaker 2: truck prices, right, but that was like almost a personal
- 38:04Speaker 2: that was like a that might have been a tiny scoach,
- 38:07Speaker 2: smaller than a frozen pizza. It was I don't know, yeah,
- 38:11Speaker 2: how it was it twelve inch, I don't know. I
- 38:14Speaker 2: don't think they said how big they were, because you
- 38:16Speaker 2: just chose which one you wanted. Because we started out
- 38:20Speaker 2: with we got like a chicken one which wasn't supposed
- 38:24Speaker 2: to be spicy but ended up being spicy. Wasn't that spicy?
- 38:28Speaker 4: Some I don't.
- 38:30Speaker 2: Maybe I just like half of something got on like
- 38:32Speaker 2: the half that I ate, because there was some spice
- 38:35Speaker 2: in there.
- 38:35Speaker 3: I was like, this was supposed a little bit. It
- 38:37Speaker 3: was a little seasoning, but it was okay. Again, I
- 38:40Speaker 3: don't know what got on it, but my half was
- 38:43Speaker 3: a holy shit, is spicy.
- 38:45Speaker 4: They they were gourmet pizzas, but again, being in the
- 38:48Speaker 4: brewery at the tap room, you had access to some
- 38:51Speaker 4: food and some beer.
- 38:52Speaker 2: It was. It was good, and there was a graduation
- 38:55Speaker 2: going on. There was yeah, congratulate mazzle tov, congrat to
- 39:00Speaker 2: whoever was graduating. I at one point thought about just
- 39:05Speaker 2: Jack and some of their qudoba, because I think that's
- 39:07Speaker 2: what they had. They did, speaking like congratulations, I'm your uncle, Wookie,
- 39:16Speaker 2: here's tunny, the scariest thing anybody could boss, I'm your uncle. Lookie,
- 39:24Speaker 2: here's a twenty Just you know.
- 39:29Speaker 4: She turned around and was the ghostbuster girl that would
- 39:31Speaker 4: have just been perfect.
- 39:32Speaker 2: Oh no, that would have been terrible. That had been awful.
- 39:38Speaker 2: But that's gonna end Friday. You got Maverick's Roast Beef.
- 39:41Speaker 2: Is that where you guys went for lunch? I didn't
- 39:42Speaker 2: do lunch any of the days.
- 39:44Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that's where we went for It was actually
- 39:45Speaker 3: really good, So I had uh so last year when
- 39:50Speaker 3: we were asking uh, I think it was uh Luke
- 39:53Speaker 3: and Jeremy we were hanging out with asking them, like,
- 39:56Speaker 3: you know what's good around here? I'm pretty sure was
- 39:58Speaker 3: Luke mentioned maverick Real Roast Beef as a place, but
- 40:02Speaker 3: we just didn't get there. So this year somebody was like, hey,
- 40:05Speaker 3: we should get some roast beef. I was like, hey, yeah,
- 40:07Speaker 3: let me do that.
- 40:08Speaker 2: So we went over and uh got the got the
- 40:12Speaker 2: roast beef. It was very good. It was definitely definitely
- 40:17Speaker 2: worth worth the price of mission. Yeah, it was.
- 40:20Speaker 3: It was pretty tasty. So one of the best, one
- 40:24Speaker 3: of the best roast beef sandwiches I've ever had.
- 40:26Speaker 2: Nice, Now you mean, now I'm sad I didn't go well,
- 40:31Speaker 2: but they we do lunch so early at these events,
- 40:36Speaker 2: it's like o'clock. Was it that late? I thought it
- 40:39Speaker 2: was earlier than that. I thought it was like one
- 40:41Speaker 2: o'clock noon. I'm pretty sure it was like one o'clock
- 40:45Speaker 2: noon because I think we had to be back by
- 40:46Speaker 2: two o'clock. Didn't we just start the Maybe it was one,
- 40:49Speaker 2: but it was we just ate it like nine, Okay.
- 40:54Speaker 2: It was like it was like I just ate at nine,
- 40:57Speaker 2: you know, because we were went down to the breakfast
- 41:00Speaker 2: thing every morning and it was like nine nine thirty
- 41:02Speaker 2: were eating and then you got to be there by
- 41:04Speaker 2: ten and then you're doing and we're not burning a
- 41:07Speaker 2: lot of calories sitting moving cards around.
- 41:10Speaker 4: So no, I mean, it is a bummer because you're
- 41:13Speaker 4: up early. Well I'm up much much earlier than that,
- 41:18Speaker 4: but just trying to wait and kind of you can't
- 41:21Speaker 4: get into games enter, so there's a lot of sitting around.
- 41:25Speaker 4: But then once we're in, we basically play two rounds
- 41:28Speaker 4: and then you go grab food.
- 41:30Speaker 2: But yeah, I get it, it is what it is.
- 41:32Speaker 2: It just seems quick. I don't know. And then everybody
- 41:35Speaker 2: went and I'm like, ah, I was like I don't,
- 41:39Speaker 2: you know. It was one of those things where it's
- 41:40Speaker 2: like I don't I'm good. Like I had like three
- 41:43Speaker 2: dozen eggs this morning. I'm solid man, like, I don't
- 41:45Speaker 2: need nothing. So, I mean it's one of those buffet situations, right,
- 41:49Speaker 2: I mean, you offer me eggs, I'm gonna eat eggs, right,
- 41:53Speaker 2: like all of the eggs. Just give me eggs and
- 41:55Speaker 2: I'll eat them because eggs are delicious, well especially now,
- 42:03Speaker 2: right like, yeah, he care, and they're pricey. Moving into
- 42:08Speaker 2: our Friday night, that's what we did for dinner. Oh yeah,
- 42:12Speaker 2: and then we just went back and played beer pong.
- 42:15Speaker 2: Well actually we just played water cup pong and then
- 42:18Speaker 2: drink when you get it.
- 42:20Speaker 3: So apparently this is what people are doing these days,
- 42:23Speaker 3: Like in colleges, they're not putting the beer directly into
- 42:26Speaker 3: the cops and they're like because it's gross. I'm like,
- 42:29Speaker 3: what are you talking about?
- 42:30Speaker 2: Of course, the reason do the reason I didn't do
- 42:33Speaker 2: is because we're in a hotel, right, wow, beer pong
- 42:37Speaker 2: is notoriously messy. Oh yeah, right, Like, and I didn't
- 42:42Speaker 2: want to have alcohol over every inch of that carpet.
- 42:46Speaker 2: You didn't want to be like sitting and dump a
- 42:48Speaker 2: bottle of well red liqueur on the floor.
- 42:52Speaker 3: Oh god, that had to be Oh my god, I
- 42:54Speaker 3: can't even imagine. I don't even know if that shit
- 42:56Speaker 3: came out that I was standing there, Siddy like hurled
- 43:03Speaker 3: the table bottle. She didn't hurle the table, she just
- 43:09Speaker 3: she just just straight up battle grab it.
- 43:15Speaker 2: Upright. I don't even know what that bottle was, but
- 43:17Speaker 2: whatever was in it was fantastic. I would drink more
- 43:20Speaker 2: of it. Yeah, it was actually really good. I don't
- 43:23Speaker 2: know what it was. Yeah, it was only like sixteen
- 43:26Speaker 2: or eighteen percent alcohol, but it was really I think
- 43:29Speaker 2: it's what Marcus was using to make whatever his drinks were,
- 43:34Speaker 2: because he made me a drink and I was like, oh,
- 43:36Speaker 2: that's dangerous. I was like, that's really good, and yeah
- 43:40Speaker 2: I can, I can. You can definitely taste it. So
- 43:44Speaker 2: whatever it was, it was very very good. But yeah,
- 43:47Speaker 2: it was also a deep red red doesn't come out
- 43:52Speaker 2: of carpet very well.
- 43:55Speaker 4: Or the towel.
- 43:56Speaker 2: Oh lor it got on the towel. Oh there, yeah,
- 43:58Speaker 2: I guess that's all we had was white towels. Oh boy. Well,
- 44:04Speaker 2: well that was the reasoning I used water instead of
- 44:10Speaker 2: liquor because I didn't want it to get all over
- 44:13Speaker 2: the floor. Then the floor gets sticky and just a
- 44:16Speaker 2: bad it's a bad time. So I was like here's
- 44:18Speaker 2: the water, right. It just makes life easier.
- 44:21Speaker 4: It did show me some dexterity from some of our
- 44:25Speaker 4: KEYFGE players, which was very interesting, or lack of dexterity
- 44:29Speaker 4: from some of you.
- 44:32Speaker 2: Well, then we had to figure out the rules, because
- 44:34Speaker 2: for some of us it's been almost twenty years since
- 44:37Speaker 2: the last time we played beer Pond and me and
- 44:40Speaker 2: Pete got into some got into some rules arguments. What
- 44:45Speaker 2: was the rules argument? I forget Pete, what we what
- 44:47Speaker 2: do we argue? But I know one time we're like, no,
- 44:50Speaker 2: always the ball. It was the over the line rule.
- 44:54Speaker 4: So basically, where your hand is going past your board
- 44:58Speaker 4: to start.
- 44:59Speaker 2: What's your elbow? Right? Yeah, the albow has to be
- 45:01Speaker 2: at the edge of the table.
- 45:04Speaker 4: I don't know, Pete, pout, you'll be back in it.
- 45:07Speaker 2: It's deafened and viewed right now.
- 45:08Speaker 3: So he's probably taking a smoke because he's like, screw
- 45:12Speaker 3: screw easy guy, who's going to smoke.
- 45:14Speaker 2: I've been there, I've been there, but that that was
- 45:19Speaker 2: a good time. That was also the night me and
- 45:23Speaker 2: Mammon decided to check out that awesome bottle of Bailey's
- 45:27Speaker 2: and by checkout I mean sniff And that was horrible.
- 45:30Speaker 2: But it's probably a bad decision on both our parts.
- 45:32Speaker 2: But we did it anyway. You know, it was pretty rank. Yeah,
- 45:36Speaker 2: it was. It was every bit of as bad as
- 45:39Speaker 2: you'd think it would be, maybe a little bit more.
- 45:42Speaker 4: Oh boys, what we did not go ahead and talk
- 45:46Speaker 4: about the shirts that were unveiled?
- 45:48Speaker 2: Oh, the a asses out team.
- 45:51Speaker 4: That's right, I'm sorry I should Oh.
- 45:54Speaker 2: Shoot, I forgot. I just threw that belaundry. My wife
- 45:56Speaker 2: is Yeah, yes, we did. We did start the do
- 46:04Speaker 2: key Forge drinking team if any of you'd like to join,
- 46:09Speaker 2: because that's let's be honest, what's the key Forge event
- 46:13Speaker 2: without copious amounts of alcohol?
- 46:16Speaker 4: Speaking of Pete, you are part of this team, yes, sir?
- 46:21Speaker 4: Do we get pictures a man of many words?
- 46:24Speaker 2: Yes, I have expected a uh huh uhh. Yeah.
- 46:31Speaker 5: I keep considering it as an evening Pj's shirt. Then
- 46:35Speaker 5: I'm like, what are my kids gonna think? Pop has
- 46:39Speaker 5: got a lady but on her shirt? Well they're tiny
- 46:42Speaker 5: so here. So I haven't had a use for it
- 46:46Speaker 5: since the Vaults, but I'll certainly bring it back to
- 46:48Speaker 5: the next one because I expect the team will be
- 46:52Speaker 5: going strong for a while.
- 46:53Speaker 2: We need to find another competitive card game to go
- 46:55Speaker 2: up against. I feel like that's the thing that needs
- 46:59Speaker 2: to happen. I feel like we're gonna be outnumbered regardless
- 47:03Speaker 2: which when we probably there you go if you want
- 47:04Speaker 2: to see the ass out shirts. There they are. Hell yah,
- 47:12Speaker 2: great design made by me. You're welcome, well do thank you.
- 47:18Speaker 4: But it was Saturday, the night that we also had
- 47:21Speaker 4: people playing The Gang, and yeah, the.
- 47:24Speaker 2: Gang was well and the game was Saturday.
- 47:27Speaker 4: That was Saturday night.
- 47:28Speaker 2: We're still on Friday. I mean Saturday we played I
- 47:31Speaker 2: think we played some Skulls, some more Skulls, like we
- 47:33Speaker 2: kind of missmashed to hang for a handful of games
- 47:35Speaker 2: in there. But this was always a fun game. I'm
- 47:39Speaker 2: pretty sure somebody took I don't. I don't know where
- 47:42Speaker 2: my copy went. It might have gone with Marcus. I'll
- 47:44Speaker 2: get it back someday.
- 47:46Speaker 4: Well, Sheep and I cleaned up on Sunday.
- 47:48Speaker 2: Oh, so it's somewhere around there. Fair enough. So we
- 47:53Speaker 2: move into Saturday. Saturday is ARCon and Or sealed?
- 48:01Speaker 4: Well there was There wasn't announce There was an announcement
- 48:04Speaker 4: for our or alliance.
- 48:06Speaker 2: So the question on this one, yeah, no, it doesn't count.
- 48:12Speaker 2: It doesn't count.
- 48:13Speaker 4: No.
- 48:14Speaker 2: So the question on this one was will it be stacked.
- 48:18Speaker 2: It wasn't stacked. It was staggered dagger.
- 48:23Speaker 4: So what do you mean by stagger?
- 48:26Speaker 2: So is that at the end of round one or
- 48:28Speaker 2: round two? I want to say it was an end
- 48:30Speaker 2: of round one three?
- 48:32Speaker 4: No no, no, no no no.
- 48:34Speaker 2: So yeah.
- 48:35Speaker 4: So basically they announced this before it was started, that
- 48:38Speaker 4: it would be stay. But what they did go ahead
- 48:42Speaker 4: and talk about is that anyone who has fallen out
- 48:46Speaker 4: is OH two would be able to go ahead and
- 48:50Speaker 4: play in alliance or yeah, basically they could join Alliance. Now,
- 48:56Speaker 4: there was a sheet that was sent around from some
- 48:59Speaker 4: players asking for it to be stacked. There were some
- 49:02Speaker 4: there was actually two different groups that had gone ahead
- 49:04Speaker 4: and brought that to Josh. But the idea was that
- 49:07Speaker 4: they could not stack it based on the timeframe. We
- 49:10Speaker 4: were in the small room over at Game Center and
- 49:14Speaker 4: we had a time restriction, but they could stagger it,
- 49:18Speaker 4: which anyone who was OH to or chose to be
- 49:22Speaker 4: able to drop out and leave you would be able
- 49:25Speaker 4: to go ahead and play an alliance. Was this clear
- 49:28Speaker 4: to you, guys or was this problematic? Because it did
- 49:31Speaker 4: cause some issues with some individuals.
- 49:33Speaker 2: Saying it sounded like it caused some issues, but no,
- 49:37Speaker 2: for you from what you heard. For what I mean,
- 49:40Speaker 2: it seemed well from what I heard and what I
- 49:47Speaker 2: could because I think what we heard and what some
- 49:51Speaker 2: people heard were two different things. Because I think it was, oh,
- 49:55Speaker 2: well I have qualified, I am I am three. Oh
- 50:00Speaker 2: I can just now move into Alliance and then I
- 50:02Speaker 2: can be in all three. And I know Josh had
- 50:06Speaker 2: come to me and asked me about it, and I
- 50:08Speaker 2: was like, no, like you need to choose, like you're
- 50:12Speaker 2: either going. I was like, because then we run into
- 50:14Speaker 2: the same problems that we've had it every other vault,
- 50:17Speaker 2: where you can't have double people double qualifying, and now
- 50:23Speaker 2: you've got a top four game that's waiting on a
- 50:26Speaker 2: person that's playing over here here in Arkon or vice versa,
- 50:31Speaker 2: and it just like it doesn't like the timing just sucks,
- 50:34Speaker 2: like you need to pick one. That's the whole point
- 50:37Speaker 2: of having them split in the first place. So why
- 50:41Speaker 2: if you're not going to stack them, why would you
- 50:44Speaker 2: then have this Why would you just ram yourself into
- 50:47Speaker 2: the same problem.
- 50:49Speaker 4: I felt that it was clear there was some confusion.
- 50:51Speaker 4: If someone had gone basically three to oh right, They
- 50:55Speaker 4: that people felt that they would be able to go in.
- 50:57Speaker 4: But for me, I felt that it was clear enough.
- 50:59Speaker 4: How was explained that you you're in one arc On
- 51:03Speaker 4: event or you're in one Alliance event, you cannot be
- 51:05Speaker 4: in both simultaneously. And that's just for a scheduling component,
- 51:09Speaker 4: because yes, just like if we can't play the top
- 51:12Speaker 4: eight games at the same time, and we don't want
- 51:14Speaker 4: to be waiting on someone, right, So like, why would
- 51:17Speaker 4: you why would you jam yourself into the same problem
- 51:20Speaker 4: that when you're going to immediately put your foot down
- 51:23Speaker 4: and say, yep, they will not be they will not
- 51:25Speaker 4: will not stack these no matter how low you're just
- 51:28Speaker 4: you're gonna run yourself into the same problem. So I
- 51:32Speaker 4: thought it made sense to me, but clearly some people
- 51:35Speaker 4: heard it very differently. Yeah, I will say that there
- 51:38Speaker 4: was second amber. What this did offer is that some
- 51:42Speaker 4: Alliance players did come in to play Arkon and it
- 51:46Speaker 4: caused some problems because they actually did well, and then
- 51:49Speaker 4: they had a choice of should I drop because they
- 51:52Speaker 4: were really there for Alliance And so that's where some
- 51:55Speaker 4: of the confusion and frustration came in the community. But
- 51:58Speaker 4: again I did not run into that I did not
- 52:00Speaker 4: see that as an issue for me personally, but it
- 52:02Speaker 4: was something that was there. Second Amber was open and
- 52:06Speaker 4: able to be played. I think that if it had
- 52:09Speaker 4: been maybe a little bit clearer upfront for everyone, then
- 52:13Speaker 4: some people just would have gotten a chance to go
- 52:15Speaker 4: ahead and play in something else. Now, the problem is
- 52:20Speaker 4: is that when ARCon was running, if you made the
- 52:23Speaker 4: choice to not play an Arkon but to play an Alliance,
- 52:26Speaker 4: second Amber was not open immediately until you went oh two,
- 52:30Speaker 4: and so that that there was nothing to do while
- 52:33Speaker 4: we waited. And was it at two or three o'clock?
- 52:37Speaker 2: Boys?
- 52:37Speaker 4: I think it was two thirty that they were going
- 52:39Speaker 4: ahead and shifting if I remember correctly on.
- 52:41Speaker 2: That one, right after lunch.
- 52:44Speaker 4: Yeah, but that is that was kind of the thought process.
- 52:48Speaker 4: But I think again just clearly delineating we're going to
- 52:51Speaker 4: have two separate tournaments if you want to if you
- 52:54Speaker 4: are here for Alliance, you need to drop out of
- 52:56Speaker 4: the art kind event well correct, but also have something
- 53:00Speaker 4: for those players to do if you're if you came
- 53:03Speaker 4: in and you're looking forward to playing at ten eleven
- 53:07Speaker 4: o'clock when we should be starting, and now you have
- 53:09Speaker 4: to wait until two thirty with that with the staggered
- 53:15Speaker 4: we were able to get eleven players to go ahead.
- 53:19Speaker 2: And eleven players went to Alliance. Yeah, otherwise it would
- 53:21Speaker 2: have been like four from what I heard, I.
- 53:26Speaker 4: Don't I don't know the actual number that it would
- 53:29Speaker 4: have been. Eleven is what we finished with.
- 53:31Speaker 2: Still, yeah, I mean it's still the same Amat we
- 53:36Speaker 2: had last year. Oh no, No, same AMA we had
- 53:39Speaker 2: at Rochester. Rochester eleven.
- 53:46Speaker 4: I have to go back into the notes on that one.
- 53:48Speaker 2: I'll keep going. Yeah, uh Roosevelt last year. No, that's
- 53:54Speaker 2: not it.
- 53:55Speaker 4: Ten for Rochester, had ten for Alliance, ten for Alliance.
- 53:58Speaker 4: So now we're looking at ten and eleven eleven with
- 54:01Speaker 4: it being staggered. It's I know, some people really really
- 54:06Speaker 4: oh and Morgan saying in the chat here Rochester was eleven. Okay,
- 54:12Speaker 4: But regardless, those are not great numbers. I mean as
- 54:17Speaker 4: a whole, they're not great numbers. But it is their baby.
- 54:21Speaker 4: They seem to want to die on this hill of
- 54:23Speaker 4: let's keep going with Alliance. Well, regardless, if it's your
- 54:27Speaker 4: if it's your jam and you enjoy it, I think
- 54:29Speaker 4: playing key Forge is playing key forg and you'll see
- 54:31Speaker 4: that even some of the people on this cast really
- 54:34Speaker 4: enjoy playing key Forge, and so they went ahead and played.
- 54:39Speaker 2: But we get into that should we go over standings
- 54:43Speaker 2: on those because we finished we didn't finish that day, right,
- 54:49Speaker 2: we went into top eight.
- 54:51Speaker 4: So so should we should we go with how did
- 54:54Speaker 4: your arkon day end up going? So Pete, let's let's
- 54:57Speaker 4: start with you. How did ARCon go for you?
- 54:59Speaker 5: Bud Well, I was surprised. I really thought that the
- 55:03Speaker 5: deck I borrowed from Mammon was going to perform, but
- 55:09Speaker 5: it didn't do so hot. I won my first game,
- 55:12Speaker 5: I believe, and then I went up against Hobo who
- 55:14Speaker 5: had a talk deck with a lot of archiving, and
- 55:18Speaker 5: I brought some archive hate in my deck, but he
- 55:22Speaker 5: thoroughly trounced me with superior play.
- 55:25Speaker 4: And then well, and and that deck that you're speaking
- 55:29Speaker 4: of that Hobo was playing was rubber Jab the Mysterants
- 55:33Speaker 4: of Wood, which is actually a Vargas deck ninety nine SaaS,
- 55:37Speaker 4: so it's no, no poor clout. It is the Stepwolf
- 55:44Speaker 4: talk deck that made top eight.
- 55:46Speaker 2: So it's got triple aties, an EP double against all flags,
- 55:53Speaker 2: double all around line rotation, and a prop not prop dust.
- 55:57Speaker 2: So that's not the one I thought it was triple
- 56:02Speaker 2: the triple Nature's call. Yeah, and I know he's got
- 56:07Speaker 2: a waste nott, which I think he uses the waistnot
- 56:09Speaker 2: on the step wolf. Popped those to the frog. Well,
- 56:14Speaker 2: he does it on the key frog at the end,
- 56:16Speaker 2: but he can do it on the step wolf once
- 56:17Speaker 2: they get really really.
- 56:18Speaker 5: Big, right, But in my game, he whipped it out
- 56:23Speaker 5: with the key frog. Just when I thought maybe I
- 56:25Speaker 5: had a hope of stabilizing, he went on tam frog
- 56:28Speaker 5: and I went.
- 56:28Speaker 2: Out and we got me whipped it out. Huh.
- 56:32Speaker 5: He whipped it out. And then in the third round
- 56:36Speaker 5: I faced Jase from the forecast report.
- 56:41Speaker 2: Yep, yeah, and.
- 56:45Speaker 5: Gosh, he just embarrassed me. It was awful. He stole
- 56:48Speaker 5: my amber Drake. He did a bunch of nasty stuff
- 56:51Speaker 5: to my deck, stole the Amber Drake, he stole it.
- 56:55Speaker 5: Forget what else did? I just listened to their podcast today, which,
- 56:58Speaker 5: by the way, they did a great job of recapping
- 57:00Speaker 5: the events of the.
- 57:03Speaker 2: Of the event.
- 57:04Speaker 4: So yeah, and and Jason again, that deck was no
- 57:07Speaker 4: slouch of a deck. That was one hundred and four
- 57:09Speaker 4: SaaS Grim Reminders deck that just went ahead and took
- 57:12Speaker 4: to top eight of ARCon. So you face two of
- 57:16Speaker 4: the top eight players there.
- 57:18Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you had an I'll peil climb, that's for sure.
- 57:22Speaker 4: I mean and I'm looking here, double br guys, acto
- 57:25Speaker 4: charge double in here somewhere junk restoration, cursed tomb, creeper,
- 57:30Speaker 4: crop circles. Don't believe your eyes going ahead and looking
- 57:35Speaker 4: reclaimed circle of life waste nots pigsy. This should be
- 57:41Speaker 4: which of the wilds, which can do some wonderful things.
- 57:44Speaker 4: So yeah, this is this is brutal.
- 57:47Speaker 2: So I duplicated.
- 57:49Speaker 5: I duplicated my my KFC in both events we've talked
- 57:53Speaker 5: about so far, except for our con. My second loss
- 57:56Speaker 5: came from facing a person instead of just being disqualified
- 57:59Speaker 5: for showing up plate for lunch. So still an approvement formats.
- 58:05Speaker 2: You're moving up to this world. Beat right, I'm getting
- 58:08Speaker 2: better and better.
- 58:09Speaker 4: Yeah all right, Wookie, you're up next. What happened for you?
- 58:17Speaker 2: Are we going? Uh? Should we go?
- 58:20Speaker 4: Or should we go? Das for yeah, No, We're we're doing.
- 58:22Speaker 2: Mine Mine is the saddest of all.
- 58:25Speaker 4: Like I just.
- 58:27Speaker 2: I didn't really feel comfortable because I had decided. Finally
- 58:33Speaker 2: on Saturday, I decided what I wanted to do because
- 58:35Speaker 2: I was still on the fence. Mister h mister dascr
- 58:41Speaker 2: was gracious enough to borrow me, are you which It's
- 58:43Speaker 2: a deck I've I've really fallen in love with and
- 58:48Speaker 2: I was gonna play it there, and like, but I
- 58:52Speaker 2: also have these Texas San Antonio winning Alliance deck and
- 59:00Speaker 2: I had really really really wanted to ascend it. I
- 59:04Speaker 2: really wanted to, you know. So I'm stuck, and I'm stuck.
- 59:07Speaker 2: I'm gonna pickle right. And finally it wasn't until walking
- 59:12Speaker 2: into the games enter that morning that I had made
- 59:15Speaker 2: my decision, because I was super on a fence, still
- 59:18Speaker 2: didn't know what I was gonna do, and I was like,
- 59:21Speaker 2: you know what, I'm gonna send this fucker for z right.
- 59:24Speaker 2: Put your fists in the put your fists in put
- 59:26Speaker 2: your what, put your fists in the air.
- 59:29Speaker 4: Right.
- 59:30Speaker 2: It was it was an active defiance, even if it
- 59:32Speaker 2: was only an active defiance that I understood, and that's it.
- 59:37Speaker 2: So I decided to go into our alliance. And then
- 59:42Speaker 2: they're like, well, we're going to stagger them, and I
- 59:46Speaker 2: was like what And then yeah, So I really didn't
- 59:49Speaker 2: feel comfortable ruining two people's days. So I went up
- 59:55Speaker 2: against Panic he he beat me, and uh Andrascore beat me.
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: So that was it. That was my day. And then
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: I went into second number and that was it. That
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: was that was my sad ARCon. If I had actually tried,
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: I might have done something.
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: But well, but I think this is what it shows
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: is when the field is so tiny, you have to
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: be on your game from game one. Like, none of
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: these players here are sluge players. There was no give
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: me game. This isn't it. Here's a warm up game.
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: Sometimes when you have a very large field you can
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: go ahiad and have you're You're not immediately face. It's
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: just teammates, like everyone had to be on everybody.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: You're correct, but it's it's also a problem in that
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: small field when you're doing this because you're like, well,
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: we're gonna start with ARCon and then we'll move. I
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: don't want to, you know, as much of it as
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: an here's your dollar, as much of an asshole as
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: I am. I don't want to ruin somebody to line,
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: you know, I don't want to piss into somebody's cheerios. Right, Like,
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: there's supposed to be two very separate events and you're
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: literally you're a lot like Dave went three to oh
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: and then transferred to Alliance. So those are three losses
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: that somebody ate. Three people eight for a player, not oh,
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: Dave was two one. I'm sorry Morgan. Oh you beat
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: him a round three, Good for you. But those are okay,
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: So still two people that eight losses. This might have
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: changed the whole top eight, you know what I mean?
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: And it matters because of the two L system, right,
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: because of the system that we have involved now. It
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: might have changed everything, Like there might have been people
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: that weren't there Day two, or you're in the top
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: eight that you know could have been there because of
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: the two L system, because of how it all works.
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: I don't know, just it was one of those things.
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: I kind of was rubbed the wrong way about it,
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: right because again, like number one, I was a softball
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: to whoever I was going up against. Right, does that
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: really give you a proper top eight? I don't know.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: Maybe maybe it does, maybe it doesn't, you know, if
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: you want good competitive play, I don't think that was
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: the way to do it.
- 1:02:25Speaker 5: I think it beats one of the formats where every
- 1:02:27Speaker 5: single entry automatically tops eight, right as unideal as it
- 1:02:34Speaker 5: was auto.
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: Top fours, right, So I mean, yeah, yeah, it's it's
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: it's a high. I agree with you, it's it's not ideal,
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: but I don't know like you. I mean, effectively, a
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: few players ruined somebody else's experience in the other format
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: because of reasons.
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: Let me say it this way. As you were a
- 1:02:59Speaker 4: bow Rochester and Roseville, So what did you see as
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: a difference between both of the vaults this year? Was
- 1:03:07Speaker 4: there a difference?
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: Uh? Well, it wasn't Stack.
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: Well yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it wasn't staggered. But outside
- 1:03:13Speaker 4: of that, just seeing the difference and amount of people.
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: I mean, definitely felt like there was more folks around
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: at Rochester. But I mean, you know, we still have fun,
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: Like it was awesome to see you guys, right, Like
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: felt that way because there was more folks at Rochester.
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: Yes, yes, true story. Statistically there was more people there
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: than at Roosevelt.
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: There was, right, and a lot of my locals went
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: up to Rochester, which was cool. But Roseville is awesome
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: because you guys were there and got to hang out
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: with all you guys. So so I had a great time.
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: You know, I don't get uptight about Stack stagger, not whatever,
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: just like whatever it is, like, I'm gonna play and
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: have fun now I did so. Actually I played Dave
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: of game one and lost. But the the thing that
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: got me was like it was such a terrible draw
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: and it was on stream. I'm like drawing like crap,
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: and there's really I mean, I could have done something different.
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: I could have played a different to two to get
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: out of two to two maybe, but it was just
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: real bad.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: So I was.
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: Droll cooling through this game. I'm just like I could
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: do nothing. Like I'm drawing my artifact control. He doesn't
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: have artifacts yet, but he will because I've seen his
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: deck list. I'm drawing my creature control. He doesn't have
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: creatures yet, but he will, so I see it is
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: his deck right.
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: Like all this is just not good.
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: So that happens sometimes sometimes you draw real poortly. So
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: I did not do great and this was the professor thundraw.
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: This is the deck that I got top four and
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: in the open at Worlds and just did not did
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: not get the cards and didn't do great. So that
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: was a little bit of a bummer.
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: But I don't know.
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: They make me look for look for a different deck.
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: I got other decks in my collection too, so I
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: don't know. We'll see, we'll say, or you go back
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: to Aria one of the other you.
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: Have options, Yeah, you really do, I will say. So
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: we had twenty one players for Sealed, there were twenty
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: four in ARCon that ended up going ahead and showing up.
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: I roll into game number one. Good news. It did
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: work for me, so I had no issues with our
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: pairing software, which was really nice play style work. And
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: unfortunately it paired me up with your local and our teammate, Mammon,
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: and that's that's how my day started. So Mammon happened
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: to be on borrowed deck from one of your other locals, Barlows.
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: So thanks Barlow for lending him this beautiful little little gem.
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: This is a top deck that is paranormal Adril of
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: the Gateway. Yeah, it rocks a prowler, which is a
- 1:06:14Speaker 4: one power elf thief token after reap. If your opponent
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: has more amber than you, steal one. But what's really
- 1:06:22Speaker 4: nice about this deck is it has twenty one printed amber. Okay,
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: it has quad routine job against all flags and redline rotation,
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: double rating party, and then the Untamed has Nature's call
- 1:06:41Speaker 4: unnatural selection. I actually felt that unnatural selection was the
- 1:06:46Speaker 4: that was the only wipe that I had seen in
- 1:06:48Speaker 4: kind of what was there. But it just it's hysterical
- 1:06:51Speaker 4: when he has twenty one printed amber it's showing for
- 1:06:55Speaker 4: expected umber is forty three, Like that is just so much.
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: But I did notice like, okay, I have to tack
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: this with oh, and I should say the deck that
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: I was playing. I did end up going and playing
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: Tang the Harrier of for Tone. That is my gr deck.
- 1:07:15Speaker 4: I did really, really really debate about playing some omnive
- 1:07:19Speaker 4: im the Puss and Clocks, but I did not end
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: up going with that. That was that was pretty late,
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: but I went with Tang. Tang had been really sitting
- 1:07:29Speaker 4: well with me, and I opened up and mammon just
- 1:07:33Speaker 4: mamon head right from the start, everything that he could
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: possibly want. He's a phenomenal player, and this deck just
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: absolutely smashed me. He opened up going second with five
- 1:07:47Speaker 4: Skyborne creatures. Yes there's only eighteen total creatures there, but
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: he had rating Party, Navigator, Qatar, hid Indigo, Hayard, and
- 1:07:59Speaker 4: then Chandler an nook and then something else. It was
- 1:08:03Speaker 4: just it was ridiculous. That was a massive board, and
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: with the amber printed there, I was not doing anything.
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: I finally got rid of the board and I build
- 1:08:13Speaker 4: up my amber and he goes ooop. Routine job. Routine job,
- 1:08:19Speaker 4: all right, so we fight through that.
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: I oh sorry.
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: Before the routine jobs came, I actually had pushed to
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: seven because he had only played five cards that were
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: in his discard pile at that time. I'm like, what's
- 1:08:33Speaker 4: the chance that he has redline rotation. I will push
- 1:08:36Speaker 4: to seven. I pushed to seven. He had redline rotation,
- 1:08:40Speaker 4: so he played everything that he needed and this was
- 1:08:45Speaker 4: an absolute smashing. But again man in phenomenal player ends
- 1:08:49Speaker 4: up making Top eight with the deck and very very
- 1:08:51Speaker 4: well deserved. So Barlow, you get a good deck there, man,
- 1:08:55Speaker 4: and it was it was good to see him there.
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: So a little down. I'm not gonna lie. I think
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: that understanding. If you have hopes for a deck, if
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: you have hopes for doing well again, we just talked
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: to Wookie about being on your game and making sure
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: that you start right from game one. I'm happy that
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: it was not Philly from two years ago, where I
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: had to go ahead and you know, fight back for
- 1:09:21Speaker 4: ten rounds in order to be able.
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: To make it.
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: So I did appreciate the adjusted to lo. But I
- 1:09:28Speaker 4: end up facing our good friend Fig in game number two,
- 1:09:31Speaker 4: and I told you guys that I wanted to actually
- 1:09:34Speaker 4: play with my omnipus and I wanted to play with clocks.
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: Well I did not get a chance to play with.
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: But I did.
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: I did get to go ahead and play with an omnipus,
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: and so that really did make my my day. Fig,
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: thank you for letting me go ahead and do this.
- 1:09:55Speaker 4: My deck is one hundred percent taying as a couple
- 1:09:59Speaker 4: of different thing but the mars is really where everything
- 1:10:02Speaker 4: is at. It's got Zip, Shrink Ray Flaxham, double rebels,
- 1:10:07Speaker 4: double zick, and so Zip and the Doctor along with
- 1:10:13Speaker 4: your rebbel can just go ahead and take over the board.
- 1:10:18Speaker 4: And so that's that's what my deck wanted to do.
- 1:10:20Speaker 4: And my favorite part facing against Fig was that I
- 1:10:25Speaker 4: rule of six to steal his omnipusy and five tentaclids.
- 1:10:31Speaker 4: Next turn, I had stoled a Memmo Leach and so
- 1:10:35Speaker 4: to finish the game, I actually did something I've never
- 1:10:39Speaker 4: done before, and I called a house that was not
- 1:10:41Speaker 4: on my archon card at all. I called on Fathomable
- 1:10:47Speaker 4: and you're like, why would you call on fathomable? Because
- 1:10:50Speaker 4: it was one hundred percent the right play with the
- 1:10:52Speaker 4: memmal leach I stole to with the reap, gaining extra three.
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: I reaped with Omnipus for five tentaclids plus the one
- 1:11:00Speaker 4: for them Puss for six, and I got a chance
- 1:11:03Speaker 4: to go ahead and fight with those tentaclids too with
- 1:11:06Speaker 4: Skirmish to kill off his board. It was hysterical, so
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: I was. It really made my day and I was
- 1:11:13Speaker 4: very very happy to go ahead and actually play some
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: on Puss even though I did not have it. Game three,
- 1:11:21Speaker 4: I faced Liam, who is one of the locals from
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: right there in Roseville, and so I got a chance
- 1:11:26Speaker 4: to see another local player the congrats and I ended
- 1:11:30Speaker 4: up facing Liam a couple of times. And I will
- 1:11:32Speaker 4: say one of the things that stood out to me
- 1:11:34Speaker 4: about Liam is that as we got into the later games,
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: even on the finals on Sunday, he came up and asked, Hey,
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: what would you do in this scenario? And I cannot
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: stress this enough. That is the type of individual that
- 1:11:47Speaker 4: will go further, that's going to learn and pick other
- 1:11:50Speaker 4: keyboard's brains of like why would you do this? So
- 1:11:52Speaker 4: we were just talking shop. There were other people that
- 1:11:54Speaker 4: were around. I pulled sheep in. But again being able
- 1:11:59Speaker 4: to show different lines, being able to see things. There
- 1:12:01Speaker 4: are things that I messed up horribly. I still remember
- 1:12:08Speaker 4: them being on screen when I was much younger. And
- 1:12:11Speaker 4: this is f fgj's but be open, go ahead. You
- 1:12:14Speaker 4: learn through asking questions and then just picking people's brains
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: as to why why are you playing in this way
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: or what would you do in this scenario? And I
- 1:12:21Speaker 4: know Dresscore, you and I and Wiki, we'll go ahead
- 1:12:24Speaker 4: and say things, Bete. Sometimes it's just dependent. You have
- 1:12:29Speaker 4: to be flexible and understand that it's not always going
- 1:12:31Speaker 4: to be constant that I should kill this item.
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: Less it's the witch, kill the witch unless it is
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: the witch.
- 1:12:38Speaker 4: But there were times, especially with my ZIP, that I
- 1:12:40Speaker 4: honestly made a choice to keep my opponent's creatures and
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: to be able to kill off my rebel because I
- 1:12:48Speaker 4: could bring that back and as long as I'm not
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: going to be targeted with a mark of diss are
- 1:12:55Speaker 4: some way to be able to control me into a
- 1:12:56Speaker 4: house that's not there. It made sense in that and
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: it didn't matter what was out now against Mammon that
- 1:13:05Speaker 4: unnatural selection was really big concern for me. By stealing
- 1:13:09Speaker 4: his creatures, I could actually put myself in a really
- 1:13:13Speaker 4: big issue where my board is wiped and I end
- 1:13:16Speaker 4: up with just his creatures out, which is basically a
- 1:13:19Speaker 4: board wipe on the one side. So think about that.
- 1:13:22Speaker 4: That that kind of comes in pretty big. But I
- 1:13:26Speaker 4: love Liam. We played a couple of times right before
- 1:13:29Speaker 4: I actually ended up having the play in game against Dexter.
- 1:13:34Speaker 4: I ended up facing Liam again. So his art conduct
- 1:13:36Speaker 4: was very, very very worthwhile I was solid player, and
- 1:13:40Speaker 4: again that's that's someone who's going to go far when
- 1:13:43Speaker 4: you get into the game. Only been around for just
- 1:13:45Speaker 4: a little bit of time.
- 1:13:47Speaker 5: He's one of your mythical new players. He said, he's
- 1:13:51Speaker 5: just started playing this year. He didn't come from Magic,
- 1:13:54Speaker 5: Cardstone or anything else I know. I asked him what
- 1:13:57Speaker 5: brought him Keith Forge did? He explained it, but I forgot.
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: Yeah, story grow part of it is. It's a standard
- 1:14:09Speaker 3: AC story. They told me all about it, but I forgot.
- 1:14:13Speaker 4: No. So Liam is a part of local with Josh.
- 1:14:17Speaker 4: So shout out to Josh for being able to organize
- 1:14:19Speaker 4: the local and be able to bring someone in. You
- 1:14:21Speaker 4: and Entice and excite someone. And he's doing a good
- 1:14:24Speaker 4: job with that, so awesome job, but I forgot there
- 1:14:28Speaker 4: you go, and then I got a chance to go
- 1:14:32Speaker 4: on stream and face Dexter. You can all go and
- 1:14:37Speaker 4: see this game. I felt really bad that one. It's
- 1:14:43Speaker 4: my teammates, we're going in Dexter, and I had already
- 1:14:47Speaker 4: played this match, so I it was not It was
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: not a good feeling.
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: Dexter.
- 1:14:53Speaker 4: Even when we start like, what are you giving odds
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: for this? And Dexter had here sixty five thirty five,
- 1:15:00Speaker 4: thirty five percent chance for me to win, Like it
- 1:15:03Speaker 4: is just he has a key sheet. I don't. The
- 1:15:05Speaker 4: decks are very very very similar. We'd played it before,
- 1:15:08Speaker 4: and so you could see kind of going very like
- 1:15:13Speaker 4: we're both pretty slow to open up. His triple haunting
- 1:15:17Speaker 4: Witch is really a problem. But again it comes down
- 1:15:23Speaker 4: to your in the moment, you're stressed, what's happening. I
- 1:15:28Speaker 4: knew an early early play was to eliminate his O
- 1:15:34Speaker 4: what is it? No, no, no, it was not the Witch.
- 1:15:37Speaker 4: It was actually to purge his loss in the wild,
- 1:15:41Speaker 4: that is his see or his removal, and I have
- 1:15:44Speaker 4: capture on my creatures, and so by using lost in
- 1:15:48Speaker 4: the wild. It's not going away like those creatures, just
- 1:15:53Speaker 4: get shuffled back in, which slows up my deck and
- 1:15:55Speaker 4: becomes more of a problem. And he's shuffling in his
- 1:15:57Speaker 4: creatures of value, like his haunting witches, and so in
- 1:16:02Speaker 4: the play it was actually to get rid of that.
- 1:16:05Speaker 4: So I made the choice instead of playing one of
- 1:16:07Speaker 4: my creatures early to discard his loss in the wild,
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: which came up so that limited him only to one
- 1:16:13Speaker 4: and then it came back later on that he made
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: a choice, and that choice was he played two of
- 1:16:21Speaker 4: his three haunting witches essentially in this last turn, the
- 1:16:24Speaker 4: second last turn, and he then lost in the wild
- 1:16:30Speaker 4: to send them back, putting his deck with essentially an
- 1:16:35Speaker 4: extra two cards. And so we had talked about this.
- 1:16:39Speaker 4: He immediately recognized it afterwards, and again that's what a
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: good player will do. They'll look at it. Okay, what
- 1:16:44Speaker 4: can I learn from this scenario? And Dexter saw it.
- 1:16:48Speaker 4: We kind of talked through had he just played one
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: of the haunting witches put lost in the wild, and
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: then played the other two, he is guaranteed his key cheet,
- 1:16:58Speaker 4: which he had enough amber for his spooky charge, but
- 1:17:01Speaker 4: he ends up handing me the deck. There's four cards
- 1:17:03Speaker 4: in it. He goes to cut, and for the first
- 1:17:07Speaker 4: time ever, I did not cut. I tapped boys. Wow,
- 1:17:11Speaker 4: Spooky Spooky Charge was in the bottom two cards because
- 1:17:15Speaker 4: he drew two of the four. So that is the
- 1:17:17Speaker 4: only reason, honestly the dexter should have been in there,
- 1:17:21Speaker 4: and you know, things things changed. I ended up going ahead.
- 1:17:25Speaker 4: Later on it faced Morgan in the top eight and
- 1:17:29Speaker 4: her deck was phenomenal. Uh really thinking kind of going
- 1:17:33Speaker 4: back and forth. I like to see the old woe
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: that was there. And again I lucked out there and
- 1:17:41Speaker 4: the cards were with me. And then in the final
- 1:17:43Speaker 4: four it did I did not look out. I played
- 1:17:47Speaker 4: Zenzi's Zenz Zenzik, so congrats and Zenz really kind of interesting.
- 1:17:54Speaker 4: The deck for my deck, Tang just could not draw.
- 1:17:58Speaker 4: I could not get out from itself. And sometimes that
- 1:18:01Speaker 4: happens again, Dres, you're talking like, if you're in a
- 1:18:05Speaker 4: two two two, you made some choices on what to draw,
- 1:18:08Speaker 4: maybe you draw elsewhere. I had my geistoid that I
- 1:18:12Speaker 4: could not get out from under, and I ended up
- 1:18:14Speaker 4: with a hand and for the first time I actually
- 1:18:17Speaker 4: was playing a dead hand where I could only play
- 1:18:20Speaker 4: the board in order to keep him off of check
- 1:18:22Speaker 4: and it did actually work to get a second key,
- 1:18:26Speaker 4: but I really should have lost that game three one
- 1:18:29Speaker 4: instead of three to two. So play to your outs,
- 1:18:33Speaker 4: keep going on. But Zenz then ends up making it
- 1:18:36Speaker 4: into the top. So congrats, and I know it was
- 1:18:39Speaker 4: it was really odd, but Zenz had actually talked because
- 1:18:42Speaker 4: he's like, do you realize what you have done to me?
- 1:18:45Speaker 4: And he listed off. He's like, yeah, you beat me
- 1:18:48Speaker 4: at the Open, you beat me in Roseville, you beat me,
- 1:18:50Speaker 4: and he like went through all this is like you're
- 1:18:52Speaker 4: my arsh nemesis, and I'm like, I never even knew it,
- 1:18:56Speaker 4: Like it was. It was great because apparently I shot
- 1:19:00Speaker 4: him up and it was his own personally named deck.
- 1:19:03Speaker 4: But it was neat to see that, like he had
- 1:19:05Speaker 4: been working so hardy Ze.
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: Well, I was never.
- 1:19:10Speaker 4: Able to really beat June when it mattered, and Zenz
- 1:19:13Speaker 4: did beat me because this was your year, this this
- 1:19:18Speaker 4: was my year, and Zenzi took that. So but honestly,
- 1:19:22Speaker 4: Zenzi played really really well, and congrats so very well
- 1:19:25Speaker 4: for you.
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: It was a Tuesday for me, It was a Tuesday.
- 1:19:29Speaker 4: That's right, just another Tuesday.
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: All right, let's get into our top eight for our
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: consince for a little long in the tooth and still
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: have a whole format to go. Top eight, Jace Morgan, Mamin, DG,
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: and Tobinator all taken it. Top eight, You're one, You're
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: only your Ewok Junior and Flaming Hobo in top four
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: and congratulations runner up, x Ray and Zenzi taking it all.
- 1:19:59Speaker 4: They both send and x Ray going ahead and playing
- 1:20:04Speaker 4: Mammon's deck. Mm hmmm, that was Olympio and you played it.
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: So there was the question of does that make Olympio
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: more expensive now or less expensive? Like nobody could decide,
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: Like we were all kind of like arguing in the corner,
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: like it's like, well, it's like, well, now it should
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: like double in price, right because now it's it's a
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: it's a running up vault tour deck, right, Like it
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: should become more expensive. Yeah, but you also can't. But
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: now it's also ascendence, so you can't play it the
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: rest of the year.
- 1:20:39Speaker 4: So like.
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: Do you gotta wait till twenty twenty six to sell it?
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: Because I mean, you can play it in the open,
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: then you play it at Worlds with an invite, you
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: can play it at where else you could play it
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: in the open, right, because the Open is technically twenty
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: twenty six, is what we were all told this weekend.
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: That's from this weekend. Yeah, the opens are technically next year.
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: Is the start of next year's event. So right, you guys,
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: let us know what you think. Does that make Olympia
- 1:21:11Speaker 2: now more expensive or less expensive or do? You can decide.
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: But at the same time we had Alliance happen. Was
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: I the only oh no, sheep played Alliance with me?
- 1:21:23Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: That sheep? Sheep?
- 1:21:25Speaker 4: Actually Sheep was two to one also, and after taking
- 1:21:30Speaker 4: the loss, and ended up deciding to go and bounce
- 1:21:34Speaker 4: over to Alliance because he felt that he was not
- 1:21:37Speaker 4: going to go ahead and be successful with the other
- 1:21:40Speaker 4: decks for ARCon that were left, and that he would
- 1:21:43Speaker 4: guarantee himself at least two more games by playing an Alliance.
- 1:21:48Speaker 4: And again, this is where people want to just play
- 1:21:50Speaker 4: more key Forge, and so that was a really interesting choice.
- 1:21:53Speaker 4: I will tell you that when she did that, even
- 1:21:55Speaker 4: at the same time, I did not think my deck
- 1:21:58Speaker 4: was going to make it into the top eight, and
- 1:22:01Speaker 4: so I really really thought about being able to go
- 1:22:04Speaker 4: ahead and bounce over to Alliance. I'm glad I didn't.
- 1:22:08Speaker 4: I wanted to still see if it could come back
- 1:22:10Speaker 4: and make a run, and it did. But it was
- 1:22:13Speaker 4: nice to be able to test the deck against some
- 1:22:17Speaker 4: some really good decks that were out there. But you
- 1:22:19Speaker 4: were in Alliance, Wookie, What did you end up doing?
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: I did well? I mean what did I end up doing?
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: Not much? Kay, it was just another Tuesday. I mean.
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: My first game was against Captain Crispy. I took a
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: nice little l there. I missed on the card because
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: he had kind of so he's.
- 1:22:43Speaker 4: Like, did you miss reading a card again?
- 1:22:45Speaker 2: No, he had it covered up and I made I
- 1:22:49Speaker 2: maybe made one play. Calculated error is what I'm going
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: to call it. Right, So so here's here's the skinny.
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: I get into my like little rumble young man rumble Right,
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: it's a triple battle Fleet deck and I'm in my
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: library access turn. Now I am fully aware he has
- 1:23:08Speaker 2: mark of discs. I'm looking for one card. So I
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: come to the point where it's now time to play critters, right,
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: I have Bouncing Death corked all the Critters I can,
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: and I draw another Critter. So in my library access
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: turn with about I don't know four cards left to go,
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: all I need is the phase shift. So do I
- 1:23:34Speaker 2: take the twenty five percent gamble, play play the critter
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: that I know is probably gonna get hit with a
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: mark of diss and hope for that phase shift, or
- 1:23:51Speaker 2: do I discard it and just play for another day?
- 1:23:57Speaker 2: What do you think I did? I gambled, Yeah, one
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: hundred percent. I gambled and missed. It definitely sounds like
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: something I gambled and missed. And that was kind of
- 1:24:07Speaker 2: the end of it. After that, I thought I was
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: good to go, but I did not. I did totally
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: miss a control of the Week, which was a maverick
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: on the bottom. I'm like, all right, well, you can
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: only mark of dis me once, right, like, because it
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: was a double market desk. But I just totally missed
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: it because we were kind he kind of had his
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: card stacked like here's this house, there's this house, here's
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: this house, trying to show me which houses were what,
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: and it got covered up by one of the other
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: cards because he was using the previous cards to like
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: kind of cover up the the dead houses, and I
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: just I didn't see it. So that was the end
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: of that game. Game two, actually, Game two, I go
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: up against Pete let me tell you, and let me
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: tell you about this asshole. What a dick, this feete. Well,
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: hold your horses real quick. Yeah, I'm gonna hold over.
- 1:24:59Speaker 5: All morning long leading up to that match. Right, your
- 1:25:02Speaker 5: your ARCon deck wasn't doing what you wanted your.
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: First No, I wasn't too mad about the ARCon deck,
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: but I was a little about my kid. Yeah, you
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: were so groppy. I was a little proud.
- 1:25:11Speaker 5: Yeah, I thought, well, I'm out of ARCon. The least
- 1:25:14Speaker 5: I can do is jump an alliance. Maybe I get
- 1:25:17Speaker 5: lucky at worst, maybe I give a teammate a win.
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: Right now, let me say that, Well, you were playing ARCon,
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: so yes, yeah, you were playing ARCon. He just brought
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: an art conck. It was what I played in Ark.
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: Part of me still hoped I would eke out a win. Though,
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: let me tell you what this dick did to me
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: right turn one. I think I'm mulliganed because I just didn't.
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: I hated my hand and I'm mulligan and I end
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: up with I have battle fleet and key abduction. No,
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: I don't have the key abduction yet. I have a
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: battle fleet, though it's a really bad battle fleet. But
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: I mean I'm mulligan. I can't mulligan again, right, even
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: if I could, I would have. But whatever, it's fine.
- 1:26:05Speaker 2: So Pete leads out Turn one Clipped Wings. I take
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: a card out of my hand. What card do you
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: think he hit?
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: No?
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: I don't have that yet. He hit the battle fleet. Yes,
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: so great, we're down a battle fleet, but double battle fleet.
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: Key Abduction's fine, right, Like, I mean, that's that's what
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: fraud does, right, So that's fine. So we're playing along,
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: playing along. I'm archiving some cards. I got like four
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: or five sweet Sweet cards and archive. I pull my
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: key Abduction and I'm like, all right, time to go, right,
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: we got the key abduction. I got a few cards
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: down here ready in reserve. Let's do this and then play.
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: Pete plays another Clipped Wings and I'm like, all right,
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: let's shuffle these back in. And I keep trying to
- 1:26:51Speaker 2: like get Pete to do that and take a card
- 1:26:53Speaker 2: from my hand. Pete still decides to take a card
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: from my hand, and I think you hit an other
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: battle fleet.
- 1:27:01Speaker 5: No, I believe I popped an imperiod charge to knock
- 1:27:05Speaker 5: out your archives.
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: And then oh, yeah, haunting deck Tuck it was because yeah,
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: it wasn't my archive yet he hit the Haunting deck
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: my key abduction. So then it went, fuck it, I'm
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: gonna have to do this the old fashioned way and
- 1:27:23Speaker 2: win by getting eighteen Umburn waiting three turns. This is bullshit.
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: I hate my life. I mean, I did it, but
- 1:27:31Speaker 2: it was still bullshit that I had to go that
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: route because I was struggling. I had played a fig
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: a few games with it, and I had played I
- 1:27:45Speaker 2: had played Sheep a few games with it. Sheep is
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: pulling absolute fire with that' what is It's a Genka
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: deck right, like he could just do no wrong, Like
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: you're right, but like just every we played like five
- 1:28:06Speaker 2: games and it was just like every time, by turn
- 1:28:09Speaker 2: two he's just logo slooping, like for like every time,
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: like it didn't matter. I feel like we could have
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: played a million games and just every time he's logo
- 1:28:19Speaker 2: logo slooping by turn two, and I'm like, how is
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: this even possible? This doesn't make sense, Like statistics say
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: that this shouldn't happen, but it did. And so yeah,
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: that's why I was grumpy, because I don't know, Sheep
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: was just pulling straight fire.
- 1:28:38Speaker 4: Can can I say that sometimes statistics just don't line up.
- 1:28:43Speaker 2: No, I understand that sometimes statistics aren't the end all
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: the y'all, but holy crap. And then he went on
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: and did it like four more games.
- 1:28:51Speaker 4: But but Wookie probability just doesn't hit. In the final
- 1:28:54Speaker 4: four game where I actually need my deck to show
- 1:28:57Speaker 4: up against Zenz, I'm pushing. I had leaned into Mars
- 1:29:01Speaker 4: because there are ten cards left in my deck.
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: Ten.
- 1:29:06Speaker 4: Yeah, I know, six of those are my Mars. My
- 1:29:11Speaker 4: next two cards were Rebel and Zip. I also had
- 1:29:17Speaker 4: the don't believe your eyes like six of the ten.
- 1:29:22Speaker 4: That is absolutely crazy, But at the same time you
- 1:29:26Speaker 4: learn fun things like Poltergeistoid's this is the ultimate card,
- 1:29:31Speaker 4: this rare purject card from a discard pile. So if
- 1:29:35Speaker 4: you it correct, it really overplayed because it allowed me
- 1:29:38Speaker 4: to do things that other people wouldn't see. I took
- 1:29:41Speaker 4: an off turn instead of playing my own creature, which
- 1:29:43Speaker 4: it has an option at the right time, because the
- 1:29:46Speaker 4: later part says if you do play a creature or
- 1:29:48Speaker 4: artifact from your purge zone as if it were in
- 1:29:50Speaker 4: your hand, attached it to it as an upgrade with
- 1:29:53Speaker 4: the Texas card belongs to house Geistoid. But what I
- 1:29:57Speaker 4: did against Zenz which really freaked him out, was I
- 1:30:00Speaker 4: hit his target and I purged. So I fought the target,
- 1:30:03Speaker 4: purged it, and that really did some damage to ethically
- 1:30:10Speaker 4: renowned Zenzi. Zenziz. That'sick, all right, and so being able
- 1:30:14Speaker 4: to see that those are things where sometimes you just
- 1:30:16Speaker 4: don't get your cards and sometimes you can find some
- 1:30:20Speaker 4: some lines that end up playing better for you.
- 1:30:23Speaker 2: Well, I ended up winning with untamed because I had to,
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: because that's all I had against Pete. Like that was
- 1:30:28Speaker 2: It's like, that's all I got.
- 1:30:30Speaker 4: But eighteen Amber is awesome man to generate. It's funny.
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: It's not what the deck's supposed to do, but it
- 1:30:36Speaker 2: did it. We got there right. So now I'm one
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: and one, and I already told Pete, Pete, do you
- 1:30:44Speaker 2: remember what I told you? I don't. I said, I'm
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: gonna go and I'm gonna, I'm gonna I'm gonna owe
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: like a fistful of money after this. I said, I'm
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: gonna end up in some fucking dumb ass, fucking play
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: in game and I'm gonna I'm gonna that one. The
- 1:31:01Speaker 2: stack has not been behaving all day the way it
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: should have, and I'm gonna end up in a playing
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: game and be right outside top eight, and can I
- 1:31:15Speaker 2: can I can I go and say, yeah, you can
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: say whatever you want.
- 1:31:20Speaker 4: Alliance, Can we please not use to l O. To
- 1:31:25Speaker 4: l O is not intended with a small amount of players.
- 1:31:27Speaker 4: So the eleven players, it is.
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: Not oh yeah, I mean losing a game.
- 1:31:35Speaker 4: With this there's it's just it's it's bad there was
- 1:31:40Speaker 4: an individual in the top eleven. Because there's eleven players
- 1:31:45Speaker 4: who had won a game but didn't make top eight,
- 1:31:47Speaker 4: and there's someone else who had gone ahead and lost
- 1:31:51Speaker 4: twice to the same person who didn't win a game
- 1:31:54Speaker 4: who made top.
- 1:31:55Speaker 2: Eight because bias count as wins, and because we had
- 1:31:58Speaker 2: eleven there.
- 1:31:59Speaker 4: Was a Yeah, so we just we need to not
- 1:32:03Speaker 4: be using too l O when you have such a
- 1:32:05Speaker 4: small player amount.
- 1:32:06Speaker 2: Yeah, well, one day, I just that that I can at.
- 1:32:10Speaker 4: Least say that's something that's there. I think that you
- 1:32:13Speaker 4: should have just played and then then strength the schedule
- 1:32:16Speaker 4: if you want to have the last couple of people
- 1:32:18Speaker 4: play for that slot.
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: I mean we're kind of done. Tool straight to the top.
- 1:32:22Speaker 2: I guess, I mean that's kind of what I did.
- 1:32:25Speaker 4: But you know, you did you did have another newer
- 1:32:29Speaker 4: player and Scott Kelly going ahead and making top eight
- 1:32:31Speaker 4: though for Alliance, So congratulating, there you.
- 1:32:33Speaker 2: Go, But then I gotta go play Panic again. I
- 1:32:39Speaker 2: don't know what Panic's playing. I'm just I'm I'm all
- 1:32:43Speaker 2: sorts of bitter and angry because my deck is just
- 1:32:46Speaker 2: not it's not doing what it's designed to do. It's
- 1:32:49Speaker 2: not performing, it's not coming out correctly. I've played it
- 1:32:54Speaker 2: a bunch of times, like it's just not it's not
- 1:32:57Speaker 2: doing the thing or or ARC and I and sure enough,
- 1:33:02Speaker 2: there's two people, and I got a little angry. I'm like,
- 1:33:06Speaker 2: so wait, so you're gonna tell me that there's people
- 1:33:07Speaker 2: out here, one's getting a buy and automatically advancing even
- 1:33:13Speaker 2: though they have the same exact schedule as me or
- 1:33:16Speaker 2: same exact you know, quote unquote records me. They're gonna
- 1:33:19Speaker 2: go buy and auto advancing, and you're having one person
- 1:33:22Speaker 2: that got to buy and won a game and who's advancing. Now, okay, whatever, fine,
- 1:33:31Speaker 2: so again, well, not not doing its thing.
- 1:33:34Speaker 4: Yeah, we did come up. We talked about this on
- 1:33:37Speaker 4: the ride home because we had a couple hours to
- 1:33:39Speaker 4: be able to brainstorm. But the thought process is We
- 1:33:43Speaker 4: don't want to punish the buy person. It's not their
- 1:33:46Speaker 4: fault that they get a buy. But what should happen
- 1:33:49Speaker 4: is if there is a play in game, anyone who
- 1:33:53Speaker 4: was on the buy should be playing instead of the
- 1:33:55Speaker 4: people who've played a physical game in one right, Like
- 1:33:59Speaker 4: that is I think very acceptable, and it allows the
- 1:34:03Speaker 4: people who got the buy. They're not punished by it,
- 1:34:06Speaker 4: but they still get a chance to go ahead and
- 1:34:08Speaker 4: fight for that spot. Right. But the idea of if
- 1:34:10Speaker 4: you won a game and you get you're playing, you're
- 1:34:13Speaker 4: in a fight in game versus I get a buy
- 1:34:15Speaker 4: and the buy oversteps you. That is a real, real,
- 1:34:20Speaker 4: not cool thing.
- 1:34:22Speaker 2: So whatever I'm like, it is what it is. I'm
- 1:34:25Speaker 2: preparing myself to be right outside the top eight with
- 1:34:28Speaker 2: a you know, Vault Tour winning deck and you can
- 1:34:32Speaker 2: watch me in Panics game on stream. It's all of
- 1:34:34Speaker 2: like seven minutes.
- 1:34:37Speaker 4: I did.
- 1:34:38Speaker 2: I did make one mistake and I saw Hobo trying
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: to castrate me for using the second nep seed for
- 1:34:47Speaker 2: a battle fleet. I did not have enough to get both.
- 1:34:51Speaker 2: I was one short of getting both key abductions off,
- 1:34:57Speaker 2: like because I could have battle fleet. Did an ep
- 1:35:00Speaker 2: seed battle fleet and then Key abducted, but I would
- 1:35:03Speaker 2: I was one shy and that's why I did what
- 1:35:05Speaker 2: I did because I'd started counting at that point. You
- 1:35:08Speaker 2: can't see it because the rest of my hand is
- 1:35:10Speaker 2: off screen, but I'm counting and I'm gonna be one
- 1:35:13Speaker 2: shy unless I pop that other battle fleet. So I
- 1:35:16Speaker 2: had to.
- 1:35:19Speaker 3: And then yeah, it didn't didn't matter at that turn.
- 1:35:21Speaker 3: At that point, I had so much Ember and he
- 1:35:23Speaker 3: didn't really have much Ember control. So, uh, I kind
- 1:35:28Speaker 3: of feel bad for panic lost on time and then
- 1:35:31Speaker 3: kind of went up and the g went up against
- 1:35:34Speaker 3: the deck that was due right like.
- 1:35:36Speaker 2: It was like due for a big win and it
- 1:35:38Speaker 2: got it. So kind of felt bad. And then we
- 1:35:42Speaker 2: move into top eight and of course who do I
- 1:35:44Speaker 2: got to play? No guesses, just just want me to
- 1:35:51Speaker 2: say it. Uh, I gotta play Sheep, which is the
- 1:35:56Speaker 2: deck that buzz sawed me not too long ago. And uh,
- 1:36:00Speaker 2: thanks Sheep for screwing up, because if it wasn't for
- 1:36:03Speaker 2: Sheep screw up, he would have won. But he screwed up.
- 1:36:05Speaker 2: So he's like, I think I can win it. No
- 1:36:10Speaker 2: I can't. I think I can't. I was like, if
- 1:36:12Speaker 2: you can't do it, and then he's like playing his turn.
- 1:36:14Speaker 2: He's doing all this stuff and he's like, crap, I
- 1:36:17Speaker 2: can't win anymore. And I'm like, what do you mean.
- 1:36:20Speaker 2: He's like, I can't. I played. I played the Sutterkins,
- 1:36:25Speaker 2: and I'm like, okay. He's like, I'm now a card
- 1:36:28Speaker 2: short to hit the hit the key abduction. If I
- 1:36:31Speaker 2: wouldn't play the Sutterkins, I would have been fine.
- 1:36:33Speaker 4: Yeah, so actually played the card where the correct call
- 1:36:37Speaker 4: was to hold.
- 1:36:37Speaker 2: It right, Well, he needed to play the card. Was
- 1:36:41Speaker 2: he in a library access situation? I can't remember. He
- 1:36:45Speaker 2: was in a situation too, but like he had to
- 1:36:48Speaker 2: do a couple of things to get himself into position.
- 1:36:50Speaker 2: But he played the Sutterkins. And but if he didn't
- 1:36:54Speaker 2: play the Sutterkins, he would have won.
- 1:36:57Speaker 4: Yeah, there's no key abduction. That's that's Sydney.
- 1:37:01Speaker 2: This key abduction in that deck.
- 1:37:02Speaker 4: No. No, but there's no library access.
- 1:37:05Speaker 2: No oh, there's no library access in that deck. Okay,
- 1:37:08Speaker 2: I forget. He was doing some stuff to get himself
- 1:37:10Speaker 2: in position, but he played He played the Sutterkins, which
- 1:37:14Speaker 2: is what ultimately cost him the game. And the next
- 1:37:18Speaker 2: turn I did did some battle fleety things and ended
- 1:37:22Speaker 2: up winning moving into Gorlami. Another short game for was
- 1:37:29Speaker 2: that it's top four now.
- 1:37:33Speaker 4: Top eight was fake Captain Chris by Scott Kelly and
- 1:37:37Speaker 4: then cheap and then yes, your top four is Gorlami
- 1:37:40Speaker 4: and Sydney Steele. So you faced Gorlami.
- 1:37:43Speaker 2: Then I faced Gorlami. The deck did what the deck
- 1:37:47Speaker 2: was supposed to do, right, it did its namesake. I
- 1:37:50Speaker 2: ended up winning on a Logos turn on phase shifts.
- 1:37:54Speaker 2: I has had enough phase shifts to do my Mars
- 1:37:57Speaker 2: stuff in logos, so that worked out well. And I
- 1:38:01Speaker 2: don't know if that deck was prepared for speed of
- 1:38:05Speaker 2: that magnitude, because I actually don't know what his deck
- 1:38:08Speaker 2: would have done. He had played fig round in the
- 1:38:12Speaker 2: top eight and I didn't really get a chance to
- 1:38:14Speaker 2: watch it, even though they were next to us, So
- 1:38:17Speaker 2: I'm not really one hundred percent sure what Gorolami's deck
- 1:38:20Speaker 2: was all about.
- 1:38:22Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a woe deck with corner of the markets
- 1:38:24Speaker 4: prospector to draw. You are looking at, uh, this is
- 1:38:32Speaker 4: the yes Martian Revolution is actually in Mars to be
- 1:38:36Speaker 4: able to destroy the prospectors and draw. It's a really
- 1:38:39Speaker 4: cool deck. And then he's got double bubbles, Brio triple
- 1:38:44Speaker 4: bissile sites illusions. Yeah, that's that's a nice unfathom.
- 1:38:49Speaker 2: I saw one abissil site and then it promptly popped off,
- 1:38:56Speaker 2: So yeah, then I go up again Dave in the finals.
- 1:39:03Speaker 2: His deck is a correct counter to my deck. Bummer,
- 1:39:08Speaker 2: is what it is. He's playing a World's Collide stealth
- 1:39:13Speaker 2: mode deck which he can recur his stealth modes. And
- 1:39:17Speaker 2: it's got five eddies or something like.
- 1:39:20Speaker 4: That, yeah from Caruso, which is yeah.
- 1:39:24Speaker 2: So I mean it's just got it's got a lot
- 1:39:26Speaker 2: of tools to be able to get that stealth mode
- 1:39:28Speaker 2: into hand. Well, guess what my deck likes to do.
- 1:39:33Speaker 2: It likes to play actions. Yeah, I like to play actions,
- 1:39:35Speaker 2: and when you're going up against stealth mode, it just
- 1:39:38Speaker 2: doesn't matter.
- 1:39:40Speaker 4: So uh five Edi daughter Tautel vapors i goor Neutron
- 1:39:47Speaker 4: Shark resembling for a nice neutron and resembling.
- 1:39:51Speaker 2: Basically, the big hit for him is getting the spear
- 1:40:00Speaker 2: on table and then able to do stuff because he
- 1:40:05Speaker 2: can basically discard his hand until he finds stealth modes.
- 1:40:09Speaker 4: Yep.
- 1:40:09Speaker 2: And it's got double punk to be able to do
- 1:40:12Speaker 2: the same thing. You know, if he doesn't have the
- 1:40:14Speaker 2: stealth mode. He could punk to stealth, you know, find
- 1:40:16Speaker 2: one key charge. Yeah, I don't know if he has
- 1:40:21Speaker 2: the key charge? Does he? I don't know. Okay, never
- 1:40:26Speaker 2: saw the key charge. But it doesn't matter.
- 1:40:28Speaker 4: It's a it's a beautiful deck. But both of you ascend, Dave,
- 1:40:31Speaker 4: so congrats on becoming a Vault Warrior and uh, Wellkie,
- 1:40:35Speaker 4: congrats on being able to ascend.
- 1:40:37Speaker 2: So you're going, I did what I did what I
- 1:40:40Speaker 2: wanted to do. I ascended the deck. It has uh
- 1:40:44Speaker 2: stuff in the master Vault. Now, I'm told I don't
- 1:40:48Speaker 2: know if that's any of this is true, but.
- 1:40:51Speaker 4: Even if it doesn't, it will so.
- 1:40:54Speaker 2: Maybe they don't like me over there, just saying.
- 1:40:59Speaker 4: All right, so congrats. I will say that Gigi did
- 1:41:02Speaker 4: a nice job. They had run the Prophetic Visions tournaments again,
- 1:41:06Speaker 4: so that was awesome to see and people were super
- 1:41:09Speaker 4: excited by it. I will say the absolute highlight of
- 1:41:13Speaker 4: the Prophetic Visions before it got down was Demflaming Hobo
- 1:41:18Speaker 4: was in a game, a sealed game or a second
- 1:41:22Speaker 4: amber game. It was one of the two that they
- 1:41:24Speaker 4: had pulled the ticket. So Josh actually pulls the ticket
- 1:41:27Speaker 4: and they were in the middle of the game and
- 1:41:30Speaker 4: no one could find the ticket and they realized that
- 1:41:32Speaker 4: they were actually playing for it in that moment, so
- 1:41:35Speaker 4: it actually held value and it was pretty cool to
- 1:41:37Speaker 4: see them kind of fight it out for that spot.
- 1:41:40Speaker 4: But eight people enjoyed the tournaments. It had a lot
- 1:41:43Speaker 4: of fun, and it was great to see prophetic visions
- 1:41:46Speaker 4: in person and to see what that set's going to
- 1:41:49Speaker 4: be able to do.
- 1:41:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I would have liked to see them spread that though.
- 1:41:53Speaker 2: I don't know. I just don't like it's like eight people.
- 1:41:57Speaker 2: I was fine with it. Why not do a bit
- 1:42:00Speaker 2: new pods of ape? But why not more? I mean,
- 1:42:05Speaker 2: you were fine with it. You get to play in it,
- 1:42:06Speaker 2: didn't you. Yeah, that's the joke.
- 1:42:09Speaker 5: I have one thing to say about prophetic visions is
- 1:42:12Speaker 5: that there is a prophecy that everyone is going to hate.
- 1:42:17Speaker 2: It's my prediction, my own prophecy.
- 1:42:19Speaker 4: Oh that's your own prophecy? Nice?
- 1:42:21Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah yeah. Is that a card in a game?
- 1:42:22Speaker 2: Is it called Pete's prophecy?
- 1:42:25Speaker 5: No, it could be, but this one is called ask
- 1:42:28Speaker 5: again Later, and it's a prophecy. It reads, each time
- 1:42:32Speaker 5: your opponent chooses their active house, they must name a
- 1:42:35Speaker 5: house and blah blah, blah blah blah. The key part
- 1:42:37Speaker 5: there is each time your opponent chooses their active house,
- 1:42:39Speaker 5: that's the thing you do every turn, yep. And with
- 1:42:42Speaker 5: prophecies you can activate them or whatever the word is.
- 1:42:46Speaker 5: Every turn you could slip any card from your hand
- 1:42:48Speaker 5: under them. It's efficiency baked right into the set. And
- 1:42:52Speaker 5: so why, I mean, that's good. We're all gonna love it, right.
- 1:42:56Speaker 2: Well, yeah, but that's one of the things y'all hated
- 1:42:58Speaker 2: about gr was how much efficience seeing recursion there is.
- 1:43:02Speaker 5: Well, I'm not even talking about how good it is.
- 1:43:03Speaker 5: It's just it says, reveal the top card of your deck.
- 1:43:06Speaker 5: If the revealed card does not match the named house,
- 1:43:08Speaker 5: but Phil asking you later. So if you want to
- 1:43:10Speaker 5: play this card effectively, every single turn, your opponent has
- 1:43:15Speaker 5: to figure out what house you well whatever it says. Anyways,
- 1:43:20Speaker 5: you have to dig through the discard pile kind of
- 1:43:22Speaker 5: measure the odds and then call a house. It's every turn.
- 1:43:26Speaker 5: It's the only you're saying.
- 1:43:29Speaker 4: It is consistent. It is two thirds probability that you're
- 1:43:34Speaker 4: going to go ahead and reveal something that isn't shown.
- 1:43:37Speaker 2: It's never two thirds.
- 1:43:39Speaker 5: It's literally never two thirds because you can look at
- 1:43:42Speaker 5: a discard pile, you can see what's on the board.
- 1:43:44Speaker 4: Correct, and so it is less, but you still have
- 1:43:48Speaker 4: that option from what's there. It's going to be how
- 1:43:52Speaker 4: often do you want to how often do you want
- 1:43:54Speaker 4: to lean into this? I will say prophecies, going around
- 1:43:57Speaker 4: and reading all of them and seeing both the fronts
- 1:43:59Speaker 4: and the backs. It's going to come down to what
- 1:44:01Speaker 4: prophecies you have. I still want to see. Once Prothetic
- 1:44:05Speaker 4: Visions comes alive and we're going to run it for Alliance,
- 1:44:10Speaker 4: how is that going to happen? I know for tokens,
- 1:44:13Speaker 4: you had to have a pod that we were bringing
- 1:44:15Speaker 4: in for the token. I assume it's the same. But
- 1:44:18Speaker 4: some of these prophecies are much much much easier to
- 1:44:22Speaker 4: be able to have happen. You must have more amber
- 1:44:26Speaker 4: than your opponent, you must have less amber than your opponent,
- 1:44:29Speaker 4: or you flip a coin heads or tails or go ahead.
- 1:44:33Speaker 4: So some of these are very easy. Others, when you
- 1:44:36Speaker 4: forge a key, well, that's only going to happen twice.
- 1:44:39Speaker 4: The third one doesn't count because the game's already won
- 1:44:42Speaker 4: at that point, and to be able to get into
- 1:44:45Speaker 4: flipping a key that's only essentially eliminating two cards. So
- 1:44:51Speaker 4: I think the prophecies it does matter, and we'll have
- 1:44:53Speaker 4: to keep looking. We've seen quite a few of them
- 1:44:56Speaker 4: scanned into dex of Keywordge already. But what did you
- 1:45:00Speaker 4: think from the prophecies that you saw outside of that
- 1:45:03Speaker 4: individual one pede.
- 1:45:05Speaker 5: I'm I'm still reserving judgment. I don't want to say
- 1:45:08Speaker 5: I think I'm going to hate it, but if I
- 1:45:11Speaker 5: had to lead one way or another, I'd say I'm
- 1:45:13Speaker 5: not excited about it. My most recent card game I
- 1:45:19Speaker 5: played prior to key Forge was Hearthstone. Hearthstone has secrets.
- 1:45:22Speaker 5: Right where you do a thing, it triggers an effect.
- 1:45:26Speaker 5: The condition for the trigger is always the same, and
- 1:45:29Speaker 5: then the effect is always the same, and you usually
- 1:45:31Speaker 5: get four or five your relevant ones per class, which
- 1:45:36Speaker 5: is its own thing in Hearstone. But anyways, you only
- 1:45:38Speaker 5: really have to worry about four or five of these
- 1:45:39Speaker 5: things in a matchup once you see that your opponent
- 1:45:42Speaker 5: is using them. With the prophecies, every deck in the
- 1:45:47Speaker 5: set has four of them, and across the cards in
- 1:45:51Speaker 5: your deck, you're going to have maybe five or six,
- 1:45:53Speaker 5: or seven or eight or nine or ten different fates
- 1:45:55Speaker 5: multiply that by four. It's just like ugh, and they
- 1:46:00Speaker 5: don't even have to use fates. They could just put
- 1:46:02Speaker 5: any random card under them. So you always have to
- 1:46:04Speaker 5: account for it. It's so much bookkeeping and trying to
- 1:46:07Speaker 5: anticipate just an additional thing. I again, I don't I'm
- 1:46:11Speaker 5: not completely passing judgment right now, but if I had
- 1:46:14Speaker 5: to lean one way or another, I would say it's
- 1:46:15Speaker 5: going to be.
- 1:46:16Speaker 2: Half and miserable.
- 1:46:18Speaker 4: Interesting.
- 1:46:20Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean, when I play it, it
- 1:46:22Speaker 2: was a lot of fun.
- 1:46:24Speaker 5: It's it's a novel. It's novel. It's like a novelty.
- 1:46:27Speaker 5: It's kind of neat. I don't know that I'm gonna
- 1:46:29Speaker 5: want to play game after the game of it, though.
- 1:46:32Speaker 4: I think that the prophecies add. I think the prophecies
- 1:46:35Speaker 4: add quite a bit. I think what's going to happen
- 1:46:37Speaker 4: is early on there's going to be mental taxation in
- 1:46:40Speaker 4: order to be able to like, you forget about the
- 1:46:44Speaker 4: prophecies when you're playing them. That's the initial response. But
- 1:46:48Speaker 4: once you start to play a little bit more frequently,
- 1:46:52Speaker 4: what I have found is that you're going to get
- 1:46:55Speaker 4: into essentially one or two some of the decks that
- 1:46:58Speaker 4: can push here's two that will trigger consistently like every turn,
- 1:47:04Speaker 4: that's what you're going to be turning over. The other
- 1:47:06Speaker 4: two you kind of just ignore, and then from there
- 1:47:09Speaker 4: it literally just comes down to knowing key cards that
- 1:47:14Speaker 4: have that are going to go ahead and have the
- 1:47:20Speaker 4: greatest impact on your play. So when I'm looking here,
- 1:47:24Speaker 4: I'm trying to think of a couple of them. There
- 1:47:27Speaker 4: are some of these that they're just they're degenerate skipping
- 1:47:32Speaker 4: a turn. In others where if it's a card or
- 1:47:38Speaker 4: it's a small little action, it has some impact on
- 1:47:41Speaker 4: the game, but it is not as impactful as one
- 1:47:44Speaker 4: might want. So even here I'm looking at d ok
- 1:47:47Speaker 4: for embellish imp fate destroy the most powerful friendly creature.
- 1:47:51Speaker 4: So it's a bummer. Where I typically had found that
- 1:47:54Speaker 4: I was making mistake is that you really have to
- 1:47:57Speaker 4: pay attention to the prophecy of when it's going to trigger,
- 1:48:00Speaker 4: and that is I'm both person both people who are involved.
- 1:48:03Speaker 4: I'm curious to see in tournament play how they're going
- 1:48:07Speaker 4: to rule when it is missed, because this, I think
- 1:48:11Speaker 4: can really lead to a problem of oh, I actually
- 1:48:14Speaker 4: reaped three creatures ago, and your prophecy says when I reap,
- 1:48:20Speaker 4: but we both forgot about it. So what happens there?
- 1:48:23Speaker 4: And I think we're going to have to be clear
- 1:48:24Speaker 4: about that because what is actually happening is as soon
- 1:48:28Speaker 4: as that first person reaps, if that's what the prophecy is,
- 1:48:30Speaker 4: it immediately stops and will have a game impact. So
- 1:48:34Speaker 4: it is essentially an instant boop must resolve, and everything
- 1:48:37Speaker 4: else happening after is going to be changed. Now, reaping
- 1:48:40Speaker 4: is not as bad, but if you've done the rest
- 1:48:43Speaker 4: of your turn and you realize it, it's going to
- 1:48:45Speaker 4: get sloppy. So definitely stay on your edge. I think
- 1:48:48Speaker 4: people early on it's going to take some mental capacity.
- 1:48:53Speaker 2: I think we're talking about this. When grim Reminders came
- 1:48:55Speaker 2: out especially, it was like, oh, this is going to
- 1:48:58Speaker 2: cause people to get game losses with the order of
- 1:49:04Speaker 2: discard pile and YadA YadA and so on and so forth.
- 1:49:07Speaker 4: I think we've figured out.
- 1:49:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that was I mean maybe, I mean
- 1:49:13Speaker 2: it might have just been. Nobody's been called on it
- 1:49:15Speaker 2: yet either, but prophecies might be one of those ones
- 1:49:19Speaker 2: that this might end up. I mean, if if pv
- 1:49:22Speaker 2: ends up becoming a thing or as I like to
- 1:49:24Speaker 2: call it, HPV becomes a thing. I mean you could, yeah,
- 1:49:33Speaker 2: exactly what you're saying, Like I reaped three creatures ago.
- 1:49:35Speaker 2: How do we walk this back to correctly, correctly do this?
- 1:49:41Speaker 4: Yeah, and sometimes you can. I'm looking, I just pulled
- 1:49:44Speaker 4: up a mare O fell Gap which was in d
- 1:49:47Speaker 4: Okay solo fate destroy each creature, so something of that
- 1:49:51Speaker 4: where there's a board wipe. Man, if I have everything
- 1:49:54Speaker 4: here and it's on a reap, you're going to need
- 1:49:56Speaker 4: to know what the prophecies are for your opponent. It'll
- 1:50:00Speaker 4: be interesting to see how people can kind of poker
- 1:50:03Speaker 4: this up. Sometimes I can faint that I'm playing a fate.
- 1:50:06Speaker 4: Other times there's some really good fates that are being
- 1:50:10Speaker 4: played and they'll have a direct impact. So it'll be interesting.
- 1:50:13Speaker 2: I mean, they're almost as good as tighte pips. It
- 1:50:19Speaker 2: is a tight pip as depending on your prophecy, it's
- 1:50:22Speaker 2: almost as good as type pips. You got a good prophecy,
- 1:50:26Speaker 2: you're stashing a car to turn correct.
- 1:50:29Speaker 4: And if I have a good prophecy and I can
- 1:50:32Speaker 4: go ahead and have a fate that's good on top
- 1:50:35Speaker 4: of that, Oh boy, that is great. Like when I'm
- 1:50:37Speaker 4: looking at solo here picture the Mars Shenanigans that exists
- 1:50:41Speaker 4: in gr right now. And so if it is under
- 1:50:44Speaker 4: a prophecy where I reap and then the fate is triggered,
- 1:50:47Speaker 4: all of a sudden, it boardure, it just wiped the board. Well,
- 1:50:51Speaker 4: I no longer have that big Mars Guess what, My
- 1:50:55Speaker 4: Mars board is gone. I now am playing off hand.
- 1:50:58Speaker 4: Maybe I made a choice to play them board and
- 1:51:00Speaker 4: I don't actually have a Mars card in hand. I
- 1:51:03Speaker 4: essentially time walk myself like there's some really big plays
- 1:51:07Speaker 4: with fates that I think we're gonna see. So I'm
- 1:51:09Speaker 4: excited for it.
- 1:51:11Speaker 2: So you know when you're playing against Skyborne and you
- 1:51:13Speaker 2: go to forge a key and you have to choose
- 1:51:15Speaker 2: the color, Yes, does anyone really enjoy that decision making process? Now?
- 1:51:22Speaker 2: Imagine doing that every action of every turn, looking at
- 1:51:27Speaker 2: the decklist and being like, Okay, what do I need
- 1:51:29Speaker 2: to worry about here? What's under that prophecy card?
- 1:51:32Speaker 4: Now?
- 1:51:32Speaker 5: Yeah, there's only four different conditions you can hit. And sure,
- 1:51:35Speaker 5: through the course of the game, you're gonna understand, all right,
- 1:51:37Speaker 5: my opponents really only using two.
- 1:51:39Speaker 2: Of these correct two prophecies. It's in every house throughout
- 1:51:42Speaker 2: the set, I think, but be awful. Yeah.
- 1:51:49Speaker 4: So here here's the thing that I'm going to say.
- 1:51:51Speaker 4: When we look at an ARCon card, there's key scaling,
- 1:51:54Speaker 4: amber control. I'm looking for TMTP, I'm looking for redline.
- 1:51:58Speaker 4: I'm not looking for every single card that's going to
- 1:52:00Speaker 4: be amber control. And so you're going to know which
- 1:52:03Speaker 4: fate cards, essentially, which cards hold true value because their
- 1:52:07Speaker 4: fate is ridiculous. Outside of that, you're going to let
- 1:52:12Speaker 4: most of it slip because our minds will not be
- 1:52:14Speaker 4: able to hold onto all of that. That's just where
- 1:52:16Speaker 4: I have I.
- 1:52:17Speaker 2: Get where Pete's coming from. I like just the bookkeeping
- 1:52:20Speaker 2: aspect of it all, like needing to know it and
- 1:52:23Speaker 2: like needing to know like okay, because it does add
- 1:52:26Speaker 2: like a weird like order of operations too, right, Like
- 1:52:29Speaker 2: if it's a reap, it's like, well if that's my
- 1:52:32Speaker 2: if that's my game plan for this turn, right, Like
- 1:52:35Speaker 2: I just I have one option and that's it, Like
- 1:52:38Speaker 2: or do I go into this and like it's mentally
- 1:52:41Speaker 2: taxing it can be now again, We'll we'll see, we'll
- 1:52:46Speaker 2: see how many of those fate you know, I don't know.
- 1:52:49Speaker 2: I just hate when key Forge does this. It adds
- 1:52:51Speaker 2: that extra element, that extra layer, that extra something into
- 1:52:56Speaker 2: the game that like nine percent of the time it
- 1:53:00Speaker 2: has no effect, like like the tide and and and
- 1:53:05Speaker 2: what was the other one? I was looking for the
- 1:53:06Speaker 2: tide and uh like creatures with the tide or I'm sorry,
- 1:53:11Speaker 2: no evil twin decks right like it was like, oh,
- 1:53:16Speaker 2: like because of how it's split, some cards can only
- 1:53:20Speaker 2: have this, Some decks can only have that tokens. Right.
- 1:53:23Speaker 2: Nothing was worse than getting like, man, I've got this
- 1:53:26Speaker 2: great deck, but my token is a dog water, right.
- 1:53:31Speaker 4: I think. I think for prophetic visions we have dev.
- 1:53:35Speaker 4: Dev was the one who said it, so I'll give
- 1:53:36Speaker 4: credit there. We're gonna have to see how the deck
- 1:53:39Speaker 4: actually plays without essentially the prophecy. The cards have to
- 1:53:44Speaker 4: be good enough to hold their own, and then the
- 1:53:47Speaker 4: prophecies can go ahead and add to that, and then
- 1:53:50Speaker 4: the fates can add to that on top of it.
- 1:53:52Speaker 4: They do.
- 1:53:53Speaker 2: But like if you get if you get a good deck.
- 1:53:56Speaker 4: Not going to do it well, I don't know, I
- 1:54:00Speaker 4: mean we will.
- 1:54:00Speaker 2: Like if you get a good deck with poor prophecies,
- 1:54:03Speaker 2: it's still going to be good. That's the question. It
- 1:54:08Speaker 2: really depends on how much those prophecies play in, right,
- 1:54:12Speaker 2: I mean, I don't.
- 1:54:13Speaker 5: Know some hinge on on the prophecies being good. Some
- 1:54:17Speaker 5: might be good enough to be good without good prophecies.
- 1:54:21Speaker 5: That's forge though, right good, yes, good.
- 1:54:24Speaker 2: Good good, deck's good bad, decks bad.
- 1:54:27Speaker 4: Okay, I know this is totally and we are way past,
- 1:54:31Speaker 4: but yeah, we got to go. I had someone who
- 1:54:34Speaker 4: called me over. If you have not seen Bridge Officer Zaro,
- 1:54:37Speaker 4: they're like, hey, did you have a did you go
- 1:54:40Speaker 4: ahead and get your personalized art because this is you ewok.
- 1:54:44Speaker 4: Oh yeah, you got to go check out Bridge Officer Zaro. No,
- 1:54:47Speaker 4: it is not me, so I cannot.
- 1:54:49Speaker 2: I appreciate whoever it is ewok, Like I don't care.
- 1:54:54Speaker 2: It's like it's either Vladimir Putin or Ewok apparently one
- 1:54:59Speaker 2: or the other. Like it's it's like a weird combination.
- 1:55:04Speaker 2: I don't know if we're gonna if we're gonna be
- 1:55:06Speaker 2: able to pull it up and be okay, World Cards
- 1:55:11Speaker 2: Broto is the ruiner.
- 1:55:13Speaker 4: Yeah, and my my other favorite is Reservist Joe, which
- 1:55:19Speaker 4: is Mammon's personal right yeah yeah, and then he's he's
- 1:55:25Speaker 4: like he did the pose.
- 1:55:26Speaker 2: For him and Pete we got Scout, Pete and Mammon. Yeah,
- 1:55:33Speaker 2: I don't know what. We got that picture. And you
- 1:55:34Speaker 2: can get all those pictures if you like those, I'll
- 1:55:36Speaker 2: maybe try to post them on the Instagram. But a
- 1:55:40Speaker 2: lot of those are in Roosevelt. I have them all
- 1:55:42Speaker 2: saved on my phone, so we can we can do that.
- 1:55:45Speaker 2: Make sure if you have anything in the Roosevelt Chat
- 1:55:48Speaker 2: that you want to get, do that before Monday, if
- 1:55:51Speaker 2: you're listening to this before Monday, because Monday Monday. Yeah,
- 1:55:57Speaker 2: maybe we'll see. But Monday the channel goes boom, right,
- 1:56:00Speaker 2: and there's no more Roseville. It's on Portland.
- 1:56:05Speaker 4: Speaking of no more, uh, Saturday night played some more
- 1:56:08Speaker 4: games that can gathering. He had hibachi guys.
- 1:56:11Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we did do hibachi.
- 1:56:13Speaker 4: Yeah, this really hit hit the spot. I liked hibachi,
- 1:56:17Speaker 4: so they.
- 1:56:20Speaker 2: We did the buffet at the hibachi like there was
- 1:56:24Speaker 2: no hibachi. But I don't know, I don't want I
- 1:56:26Speaker 2: just wanted cheap Chinese food.
- 1:56:28Speaker 4: I was not even hungry. And then I walked in
- 1:56:30Speaker 4: and how can you not down.
- 1:56:34Speaker 2: Thirteen sushis? It was it was, it was, I don't know,
- 1:56:38Speaker 2: like I was, I was jamming. I was hungry and
- 1:56:40Speaker 2: I was like, man, I'm really hungry. I don't know why,
- 1:56:42Speaker 2: but like I just want I was like, I'm just what,
- 1:56:45Speaker 2: like I want Chinese, but I just like, cheap ass,
- 1:56:49Speaker 2: greasy Chinese is what I'm jamming for right now. That's
- 1:56:52Speaker 2: where we went, cheap ass, greasy Chinese Chinese at the
- 1:56:55Speaker 2: Chinese Buffet what was that place called? It was actually
- 1:56:59Speaker 2: pretty good.
- 1:57:00Speaker 4: It was about grill and supreme buffet.
- 1:57:03Speaker 2: Its perfect, you know.
- 1:57:05Speaker 4: And then we went to elusive grass Court way to
- 1:57:09Speaker 4: go ahead.
- 1:57:11Speaker 2: We went down the illustrious Murder Hallway. It was the
- 1:57:15Speaker 2: same place as last year. You know, that's going in.
- 1:57:20Speaker 2: That's what I said, going in. I'm like, this is
- 1:57:22Speaker 2: the murder hallway.
- 1:57:23Speaker 3: They so, I think because it was scary as ship
- 1:57:27Speaker 3: last time, they were like, oh, like we probably shouldn't
- 1:57:29Speaker 3: do that. People probably like turned around and left, like
- 1:57:33Speaker 3: without going through the murder hallway. So they added purple
- 1:57:37Speaker 3: lights and music through the industrial factory floor so that
- 1:57:43Speaker 3: and like they hung stars from the ceiling so it
- 1:57:46Speaker 3: didn't feel like you were about to be murdered nearly
- 1:57:48Speaker 3: as much as it did last year. When you know,
- 1:57:52Speaker 3: those rattling chains hanging from the ceiling amongst all the
- 1:57:57Speaker 3: industrial machines there, it felt less like a murder hall
- 1:58:01Speaker 3: this time.
- 1:58:03Speaker 4: I was really distracted walking in. It had nothing to
- 1:58:06Speaker 4: do with that. As we were rolling in, a friend
- 1:58:11Speaker 4: decided to pull out with their white pickup truck and
- 1:58:15Speaker 4: just totally took out the side of the vehicle as
- 1:58:20Speaker 4: they're pulling out of their spot.
- 1:58:23Speaker 2: And to be fair, this was not a friend. We
- 1:58:25Speaker 2: don't know this person.
- 1:58:27Speaker 4: Yeah, we actually have no idea who they are at all, but.
- 1:58:31Speaker 2: But Bok needed to report it.
- 1:58:35Speaker 4: I don't know if it was one of your vehicles
- 1:58:37Speaker 4: or my vehicle. I'd be pretty ticked if someone just
- 1:58:40Speaker 4: did that and then took off.
- 1:58:41Speaker 2: I'd be ticked to But they never gonna find this person.
- 1:58:45Speaker 4: I could see their.
- 1:58:47Speaker 2: License me I mean took the license plate to the
- 1:58:51Speaker 2: chief of police and yes, okay, commissioner, the commissioner.
- 1:59:00Speaker 4: I will be laughed at for this, but I will share.
- 1:59:05Speaker 4: It was a deja vu moment. I had previously had
- 1:59:07Speaker 4: a dream where I saw the same thing happening, and
- 1:59:10Speaker 4: as I'm sitting there, crash goes the vehicle. So I
- 1:59:14Speaker 4: paused and I waited. Okay, I kid you not I'd
- 1:59:16Speaker 4: seen this. The person stopped, but they did not get out,
- 1:59:21Speaker 4: and well, you guys kept going ahead.
- 1:59:26Speaker 2: I didn't even know this happened.
- 1:59:28Speaker 4: Well, we hadn't even gotten into the into the into
- 1:59:31Speaker 4: the cocktail room yet, and so we're literally walking and
- 1:59:34Speaker 4: I'm like, I can't do this, Like it was just
- 1:59:37Speaker 4: it really hit on my heart. I paused and I
- 1:59:39Speaker 4: wanted to make sure that they were going to get out,
- 1:59:42Speaker 4: and I think they saw me staring at them, because
- 1:59:44Speaker 4: I was in the middle of the road, of the
- 1:59:46Speaker 4: middle of the parking lot, just staring, and so finally
- 1:59:50Speaker 4: they stopped. They got out, and you could see that
- 1:59:54Speaker 4: they went up by the window. I'm like, oh, okay, well,
- 1:59:57Speaker 4: at least they're going to leave a note. But I
- 2:00:02Speaker 4: didn't have real faith. Maybe it's because I've been with
- 2:00:06Speaker 4: too many individuals who make poor decisions and they're like, haha,
- 2:00:10Speaker 4: I see that someone is watching me and taking Wow,
- 2:00:16Speaker 4: I will scribble because someone thinks I just hit your car,
- 2:00:20Speaker 4: and I am not really writing a note like I've
- 2:00:22Speaker 4: seen this happen. And so I took a photo of
- 2:00:28Speaker 4: their license plate and then we went inside, and the
- 2:00:32Speaker 4: like backside of me says, go check that car. I
- 2:00:37Speaker 4: don't think that they actually left the note. And I
- 2:00:40Speaker 4: didn't want to go initially do this because I don't
- 2:00:42Speaker 4: want to be murdered outside. So I did tell X Ray,
- 2:00:47Speaker 4: if I don't come back in five minutes, at least
- 2:00:49Speaker 4: call the police. I went outside and that vehicle was
- 2:00:53Speaker 4: gone and there was no note at all.
- 2:00:54Speaker 2: He was not keeping track of time.
- 2:00:56Speaker 4: By the way, you did not keep track of time.
- 2:00:59Speaker 4: I'm sure no one even cares. But I came back
- 2:01:01Speaker 4: and I'm like, bucket no.
- 2:01:03Speaker 2: I was still pissed at the bartender who didn't fucking
- 2:01:07Speaker 2: didn't it didn't card me to find out. I ordered
- 2:01:10Speaker 2: a non alcoholic and then I asked alcoholic drinks. Yeah.
- 2:01:18Speaker 2: I was like, it was like where she was like.
- 2:01:20Speaker 2: I was like, why didn't you card me? And she's like,
- 2:01:22Speaker 2: you didn't order alcohol. I'm like, what do you mean?
- 2:01:24Speaker 2: I ordered it from the drinks and she's like, that's
- 2:01:27Speaker 2: the non alcoholics section. I was like, where does this
- 2:01:30Speaker 2: say that? And she's like right there, and I was like,
- 2:01:31Speaker 2: oh shit.
- 2:01:34Speaker 4: Again again reading is difficult for teams.
- 2:01:38Speaker 2: Reading is fundamental.
- 2:01:40Speaker 4: I came back in. I talked to a different bartender.
- 2:01:43Speaker 4: It was really nice. They had video and we just
- 2:01:45Speaker 4: wrote it down because I wrote a nice note. And
- 2:01:49Speaker 4: that's what you do if you see an accident, if
- 2:01:53Speaker 4: you see something reported, Wookie das courts do the right thing.
- 2:01:58Speaker 2: We did. We went and got drinks, yes.
- 2:02:02Speaker 4: And they were fancy drinks, and they were drinks. And
- 2:02:06Speaker 4: on the way out another favorite part, I decide because
- 2:02:11Speaker 4: Sheep has now won, because this was Saturday night where
- 2:02:14Speaker 4: they played the Sealed Top. So he was happy we
- 2:02:18Speaker 4: had had I just had a drink and I jumped
- 2:02:22Speaker 4: up and I rode the Sheep out. Slash push, Wookie.
- 2:02:25Speaker 2: Slash push woking into the steel beam.
- 2:02:30Speaker 4: You were running in front of us, and by running because.
- 2:02:33Speaker 2: I train coming behind me, and I'm like, what going on?
- 2:02:37Speaker 4: It was a fast walk and I was slapping sheep
- 2:02:41Speaker 4: because I was his back. He was carrying me.
- 2:02:45Speaker 2: Oh like, oh my god, what's happening? Just started taking off, Wookie.
- 2:02:51Speaker 4: You don't take off at a very fast paced I
- 2:02:53Speaker 4: must add, well, it was. It was very entertaining.
- 2:02:57Speaker 2: I was just trying to touch all the stars. That's
- 2:02:59Speaker 2: what I was doing the time I was I was,
- 2:03:01Speaker 2: I was happy enough to I was like, I'm gonna
- 2:03:03Speaker 2: touch all the stars. And I started to and all
- 2:03:05Speaker 2: of a sudden, I just hear smack smack. What the hell.
- 2:03:13Speaker 4: Was all?
- 2:03:15Speaker 2: But I'm also still trying to touch all the stars
- 2:03:17Speaker 2: because I have a twelve year old That's what I
- 2:03:19Speaker 2: wanted to do.
- 2:03:22Speaker 4: But it was a good time and we went back
- 2:03:24Speaker 4: and that's when you guys they were playing the Gang
- 2:03:28Speaker 4: and was that when we played flip seven to We.
- 2:03:33Speaker 2: Did play Flip seven. Yeah, Flip seven was a lot
- 2:03:35Speaker 2: of fun. It was a lot of fun that came.
- 2:03:38Speaker 2: I won one.
- 2:03:40Speaker 4: Yeah, So we came into Sunday Top Cut. We've already
- 2:03:42Speaker 4: talked about. Uh, there was a vault Master event that
- 2:03:47Speaker 4: happened Sunday. So if you did not qualify for Top Cuts, Pete,
- 2:03:51Speaker 4: did you get a chance to play in the vault
- 2:03:53Speaker 4: Master event?
- 2:03:54Speaker 2: Yes, sir, okay, tell us.
- 2:03:55Speaker 4: A little bit of a because I believe it was
- 2:03:57Speaker 4: any vault Master that you could bring to play.
- 2:04:00Speaker 5: Oh no, that was Saturday night. Dexter and myself struggled
- 2:04:05Speaker 5: to find food and get back in time. They had
- 2:04:08Speaker 5: already started without us. I was able to get in
- 2:04:11Speaker 5: and they said, go ahead, go buy a vault Master
- 2:04:13Speaker 5: twenty four deck.
- 2:04:14Speaker 3: You could jump in, And I said, I think that's
- 2:04:16Speaker 3: the one where you like you had like an option
- 2:04:18Speaker 3: of like, what was it like?
- 2:04:20Speaker 2: Away, it was a handful of.
- 2:04:22Speaker 4: No, no, no, no, it was well, it was well
- 2:04:25Speaker 4: mmm and vault Master twenty four because it was the
- 2:04:28Speaker 4: three sets that they should not nor.
- 2:04:33Speaker 5: Yeah, so I my food looked really good at that
- 2:04:36Speaker 5: point I said, never mind, I'm good. Yeah, but Sunday
- 2:04:39Speaker 5: we did have a vault Master sealed with the vault
- 2:04:42Speaker 5: Master twenty five. Okay twenty five, and yeah, there's I
- 2:04:46Speaker 5: don't know, there's nothing really to say about it. You know,
- 2:04:48Speaker 5: look at the deck lists. That's those are the cards
- 2:04:50Speaker 5: you get through all reprints, some interesting deck combinations or
- 2:04:53Speaker 5: house combinations. Excuse me, And yeah, it was a good time.
- 2:05:00Speaker 2: I still have to open all my vault Master. I
- 2:05:01Speaker 2: got a box in my backpack. I don't know how
- 2:05:03Speaker 2: to do it. Save them, say don't open them, play
- 2:05:06Speaker 2: with them. I love them. Yep. I'll try.
- 2:05:11Speaker 3: And think of JML every single time I do. Every
- 2:05:13Speaker 3: time I open one, I'm going to post it and
