Transcript
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: Welcome back to the Wholehearted Woman Podcast.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: I'm Chris Ray, and this is your heart room, a place where your story is safe, where healing is not a failure of faith.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: When we're together, we discover what it means to live with a heart fully alive in Christ.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: If you're joining me for the first time, welcome! I'm so glad you're here.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: Are you new to a heart fully alive?
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: I encourage you to begin with episode one.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: This season has been one continuous journey, and each episode has been another step along the path.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: Today is a little different.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: When we started this journey together, I thought I was simply telling you my story.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: The story of a little girl listening for footsteps, the story of searching for healing, the story of finding Jesus, the story of discovering that nothing was wasted.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: But somewhere along the way, I realized this was never just my story.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: It was God's invitation.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: An invitation to every woman who has ever asked, can my heart really be healed?
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: And today I'd like us to pause just for a moment and look back at where we've been.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: Not to relive the past, but to see what God has been doing all along.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: Because when we look back through his eyes, we often discover that he was writing a far more beautiful story than we realized while we were living it.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: Let's dig in.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: Over this last season, we discovered some amazing and important things together that I'd like for us to remember.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: We discovered that brokenness is not the end.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: Searching is not failure.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: Needing healing is not a failure of faith.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: That Jesus pursues us long before we know we were even looking for him.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: That nothing is wasted in the hands of a redeeming God, that although every wound has a voice, every wound does not get the final word.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: And that Jesus has a voice too.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: And when we begin believing what he says, our identity begins changing.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: And as our identity changes, the way we live begins changing too.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: In a nutshell, that has been our journey.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: But today I'd like to answer one final question.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: So what does a heart fully alive actually look like?
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: Because I think sometimes we imagine wholehearted living means we've arrived, that we've finally reached a place where we never struggle again.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: We never cry, never doubt, never wrestle.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: But that's not what I've discovered.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: I've discovered a heart fully alive isn't a heart that never hurts.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: It isn't a heart that never struggles.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: It isn't a heart that never asks questions.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: A heart fully alive is a heart that keeps turning toward Jesus again and again and again.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: Wholehearted living isn't perfection.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: It's relationship.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: It's waking up every morning and saying, Jesus, I need you today.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: It's learning to trust him one step at a time with a new beginning.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: It's choosing his voice over the voice of fear that constantly wants to knock on our door, his truth over the voice of shame, his love over the voice of rejection.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: It's allowing him to keep forming us into the woman he created us to be.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: And I'd like to ask you something.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: What if a heartfully alive still cries, but no longer loses hope?
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: What if a heartfully alive still feels fear but chooses trust anyway?
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: What if a heartfully alive still experiences pain, but no longer allows pain to define our identity?
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: What if a heartfully alive still struggles, but no longer struggles alone?
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: I think that's what we've been discovering together.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: Not a life without difficulty, a life with Jesus right in the middle of it.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: And I believe that's what changes everything.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: Everything we've talked about this season has been preparing us for something because healing was never meant to end with listening to a podcast.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: Healing becomes a way of life.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: It's something we walk out, it's something we practice, something we continue discovering every single day as we walk with Christ.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: And over the coming weeks and months, I'd love to continue walking that journey with you.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: Because I believe God has so much more He wants to reveal, not only about Himself, but about who we are in Him.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: And so we'll go deeper in the next few weeks.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: And I'd like to end in a prayer.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: Father, thank you.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: Thank you for every woman who has walked this journey with us.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: Thank you that you are the author and the finisher of our faith.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: Thank you that you have never stopped pursuing us.
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: Your word says in Philippians 1 6 that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: Lord, today we rest in that promise.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: We don't have to finish what only you can complete.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: We don't have to strive to become someone you've already declared us to be.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: Help us simply keep saying yes.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: Keep listening, keep trusting, keep following.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: And as you continue healing our hearts, teach us what it truly means to live with a heart fully alive.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: In Jesus' name.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: Amen.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: So, friend, if you've walked with me through these 10 episodes, I sincerely thank you.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: My prayer isn't that you'll remember my story, it's that you'll begin seeing your own story differently because he's writing your story too.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: And because the same God who met me is pursuing you.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: The same shepherd who called my name knows yours.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: The same Savior who has been restoring my heart is faithful to restore yours.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: Healing doesn't happen because we hear one podcast.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: It happens as we continue walking with Jesus one faithful step at a time.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: If today's conversation stirred something in your heart, I'd love to invite you to continue the journey with me.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: You can visit HearttoHeart Ministry.com where you'll find additional resources designed to help you move from simply hearing truth to living it every day.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: And if you're looking for a place to continue growing alongside other woman, I'd love for you to connect with me on my Facebook page, The Wholehearted Woman.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: So keep walking, keep listening, keep trusting, because this isn't the end of the journey.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: It's not the end of your story.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: It's only the beginning of a life lived with a heart fully alive.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: So until next time, you are seen, you are deeply loved, and the shepherd is still speaking.
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: I'll see you soon.
