- 0:06So one day this homie gets attacked by a gang and they beat
- 0:08him up and leave him lying on the road crying.
- 0:11And so This breeze comes and sees the homie lying on the
- 0:14ground and then crosses a street to go around him.
- 0:18Why didn't he help him? I don't know why, don't you ask
- 0:21him? Well, what's his name?
- 0:23Who's name the priest? That walked around the guy that
- 0:26was hurt? I don't know his name.
- 0:28The Bible doesn't say Oh, it's a Bible story.
- 0:32Yeah, it's a story of the good slow Merit.
- 0:35An could slow maraton. I'm never heard of that story,
- 0:41which is why I'm telling it. So then another guy comes
- 0:44walking by. I think he worked for the church
- 0:46to but he looked at the homey and didn't want to help the
- 0:49whole me either. So he crossed the street and
- 0:51walked away. Shouldn't the people from a
- 0:54church be willing to help someone that's hurting, right?
- 0:58But they didn't. So then, Along Comes the slow
- 1:01maraton, and he sees the homey and says, hey homie, what
- 1:05happened to you? And the homie says some laptops.
- 1:07Messed me up, man. Can you help me and a slow Merit
- 1:10and says, hey, see what I have to warn you?
- 1:12I'm a maraton and a slow one at that.
- 1:15Why did he say that? Because he was really slow, man.
- 1:19Oh I mean why did he warn him? That he was a maraton.
- 1:22I don't know. Maybe he smelled funny anyway.
- 1:24He takes him to the motel and he Motel.
- 1:28Yeah cuz they didn't have a hospital like I guess and I
- 1:30think the hotel guy was a doctor because of slow Merit and paid
- 1:33him to take care of the homie. It sounds a lot like the story
- 1:36of the Good Samaritan, I some merits and what did I say?
- 1:41You said Slow maraton. Well, forget what I said.
- 1:45No, it was still a good story. The person that you thought
- 1:48would be loving the priest and the other guy that worked at the
- 1:52church, they weren't loving at all.
- 1:54It was the guy that no one expected to help the guy that
- 1:58smelled bad? Actually ended up being a good
- 2:01neighbor because he was loving. That's our word for today.
- 2:04Paco, loving. So, the slow merits and ended up
- 2:07being the Good Samaritan one. So, if you're a fast Merit 10,
- 2:12does that make you a bad Samaritan?
- 2:14Okay, you're not making any sense at all.
- 2:17So we all need to slow down and help people that are hurting.
- 2:20That's a good point. Luke 6:31 says, do to others as
- 2:26you would like them to do to you.
- 2:28So slow down. And be loving.
- 2:31Yeah, what he said, right? Low and slow.
- 2:51So one day, this man named, I'll call him mr.
- 2:54Z mr. Z, his name is too hard to say,
- 2:58it starts with a z. You mean Zacchaeus.
- 3:01That's it. Zach Zach, Zach bass.
- 3:05Oh, mr. Z her Jesus was coming to town
- 3:07and he wanted to see him but there was already a line.
- 3:09Of people all over the place and mr.
- 3:11Z couldn't see cause everyone was too tall.
- 3:14Everyone was too tall. Yeah, because mr.
- 3:16Z was like really short. How sure was he?
- 3:19I don't know too. Short to see over the people we
- 3:22should have asked to be in front.
- 3:24I'm sure the people would have let him through.
- 3:26No way Jose not mr. Z ain't nobody like him.
- 3:30Why not? It was a wax collector, I'll wax
- 3:33collector. Yeah.
- 3:34Like when you dig around in your ears and get some wax out of it,
- 3:38most people wipe it off. Off and throw it away but mr.
- 3:40Z, he collected it. That's gross huh?
- 3:44I don't know, I don't have any ears.
- 3:46Anyways, mr. Z decides to climb a tree which
- 3:50usually only tall people can do unless they get a boost from
- 3:53someone but he climbs a tree and sees Jesus and Jesus sees him
- 3:57and says a mr. Z, I'm coming to your house to
- 4:01eat. Why did Jesus say that?
- 4:03I don't know. Maybe mr.
- 4:05Z at a restaurant at his house. Hey, maybe it had candles on the
- 4:09table. Which would explain the wax
- 4:11collecting. So did Zacchaeus take him to his
- 4:14house, of course, and all the people were upset because they
- 4:18didn't like mr. Z and Jesus chose him to go eat
- 4:21with. That's because Jesus is
- 4:24friendly. That's our word for today,
- 4:26friendly. Yeah.
- 4:27He was friendly even to the person, everyone else hated.
- 4:31That's what God's love in US. Does it makes us friendly?
- 4:35John 15:12 says, I love others like Jesus.
- 4:39Loves me, mr. Z must have gotten some of God's
- 4:42love in him because after eating with Jesus he started being
- 4:45friendly to poor people. He gave them half of his money.
- 4:49Wow, that is friendly so that people start liking him after
- 4:53that. The poor people.
- 4:55Yes, everyone else know. He told Jesus that he was going
- 4:59to give people back four times as much earwax as he had taken
- 5:03from them. That's gross times floor, man.
- 5:07Wait a minute. I just Remembered Zacchaeus
- 5:11wasn't a wax collector. He's a tax collector taxes, our
- 5:15money that you have to pay to the government.
- 5:18So he got taxes out of people's ears, not out of their ears out
- 5:23of their wallets. What about the candles in this
- 5:26restaurant where they made out of taxes?
- 5:29Well, if he had candles, I'm sure they were made out of wax.
- 5:32So, mr. Z was a wax and tax collector
- 5:39you left. Without saying good-bye again,
- 5:42that's not very friendly. One day Jesus was taking a
- 5:56little siesta when an app, you know, he didn't have a car, so
- 6:00we had to walk everywhere day. Anyways, this mama tries to
- 6:04bring her Nino Dunya her little boy.
- 6:08So the mama wants Jesus to say something good to her little
- 6:11Nino that her little boy, you know, like a prayer but the
- 6:15Bible says to her own momentum well they say, wait a minute.
- 6:19Okay, so the disciple says to her, Jesus is taking a siesta
- 6:24and the mama says to the disciple, please be walked all
- 6:27the way here, because we don't have a car either.
- 6:29She said, she didn't have a car. Why would she say that?
- 6:32She doesn't even know what a car is.
- 6:34That you said that's why they walked around everywhere.
- 6:37Nobody has a car in the Bible. I bet they have chariots, which
- 6:41are kind of like cars. It's like a cart that our horse
- 6:44pulls around. But you have to be in the Army
- 6:47to get a chariot. Sorry, I asked anyways, the mama
- 6:51wouldn't go away. The disciple would tell her no
- 6:54and the mama would say, don't you tell me?
- 6:56No, you wake, Jesus up. And so, Jesus wakes up because
- 7:00the mama is hitting the disciple with her chocolate pass pass.
- 7:03Pass her junk, huh? Her slipper I think it was still
- 7:07morning. Anyways, Jesus wakes up and
- 7:10says, what's up? And the disciple says, Jesus,
- 7:12this Senora want you to say something good to her.
- 7:15Little Nino, her little boy. And Jesus says, I would love to
- 7:18say a prayer for the Nino and so he did.
- 7:21That's a great story of how the little boys Mama didn't lose.
- 7:25Hope she stayed hopeful that's our word for today.
- 7:29Paco hopeful, when we put our trust in God, even when it looks
- 7:34like bad, things are happening all around us.
- 7:36We know that God is gonna do something good.
- 7:39That's why Mark 10:14 says, let the children come to me.
- 7:44I remember one time I was Was hopeful.
- 7:46I was watching TV with my big brother and he kept passing gas
- 7:49sticking up the room so I got up and empty the kitchen trash.
- 7:53That's being helpful. Not hopeful no I was hopeful.
- 7:58I put the trash under my big brother's bed hoping it would
- 8:00stick up his room so he would know how I felt.
- 8:03That's not putting your trust in God.
- 8:05Paco it's not know you should be praying for your brother instead
- 8:09of putting trash under his bed. Well I'm praying that he smells
- 8:13it. Does that count?
- 8:15I give up. What did I say?
- 8:18Hey, I hope you're not mad at me.
- 8:20Dear God. Help fish.
- 8:22Not to be mad at me. So this man had two sons and one
- 8:38of the sunset a dad, can I have my allowance and I guess it was
- 8:41a big allowance because he packed up his clothes and moved
- 8:44out of the house. Where did he go?
- 8:46But he must have gotten an apartment or something.
- 8:48Wow, that's a big allowance, right?
- 8:51So he starts spending all of his money doing bad things.
- 8:54Things like kind of bad things. I don't know, bad things like
- 9:00playing those video games. Your mom doesn't let you play I
- 9:02guess. Anyways, pretty soon.
- 9:04He's all out of money so he has to get a job.
- 9:07You mean like at McDonald's? I don't know what his name was
- 9:11but it was a job feeding pigs and whenever he got paid, it
- 9:14wasn't enough to buy food so he had to eat the pig food.
- 9:17That he was feeding the pigs. So what happened to him?
- 9:22Well, one day, he remember what it was like to be at home?
- 9:25Is dad? So he decided to move back home.
- 9:28Wow, a smart. Yeah, but he was worried that
- 9:31his dad would be mad because he spent all of his allowance
- 9:33playing all those bad video games and stuff.
- 9:36So he decided to ask his dad for a job, so he would get paid and
- 9:41allowance again and live at home for free.
- 9:44Well, I think he was willing to just work for food.
- 9:46You know, home cooked meals instead of big food?
- 9:48He didn't care about the allowance.
- 9:52So did his dad say yes, see that's It's the crazy part ever
- 9:56since he left home. The dad would be looking down
- 9:59the street, hoping he would come back.
- 10:01So when he finally did come back, his dad was so happy.
- 10:04He throw a big party for him and I guess he left all of his
- 10:07clothes back at the apartment because his dad had to give him
- 10:09shoes and robes and stuff. His dad must have had a lot of
- 10:13patience. What?
- 10:15Like he was a doctor, you know, he waited every day for his son
- 10:19to come home, he never stopped loving his son even though he
- 10:23moved away. That's how God is first
- 10:26Corinthians, 13? 7 says love.
- 10:29Never gives up, patience means you never give up.
- 10:33Oh, so like the dad saved. All of his allowance that he
- 10:36didn't have to pay. Since his son moved away, he
- 10:39didn't have to give it up since he wasn't there.
- 10:42What the allowance? The money if he had still lived
- 10:45at home, he would have gotten more money for his allowance but
- 10:48the dad didn't have to pay since he moved away.
- 10:52Hey since the word is Hence, yeah, that's what I said.
- 10:56Never mind. Hey, are you giving up, where is
- 11:02your pace since? So, one day, this Rich dude
- 11:15comes to Jesus and says a Jesus. What I gotta do to go to heaven,
- 11:19man, and Jesus says, Hey homes, just honored the code.
- 11:23What code, you know, The 10 codes mean Commandments.
- 11:29Whatever. So the rich dude says, okay,
- 11:32man, I be doing in my whole life and Jesus says, no you ain't be
- 11:37doing them homie. He's not obeying the Ten
- 11:40Commandments. I understand anyway.
- 11:43So Jesus says, there is one, you ain't doing.
- 11:47And the dude says, are you crazy?
- 11:49I'd be doing it my whole life, and Jesus says, there's one you
- 11:53ain't doing you Been chilling on money.
- 11:56More than God chilling on money. Yeah.
- 11:59Like money was his ride, you know.
- 12:01No, I don't know. He loved money more than he
- 12:05loved God. Why didn't you say that?
- 12:08I did go on. So Jesus tells a rich dude, it
- 12:13give away your money homes and follow me.
- 12:16And the dude says no way Jose and he just walks away, man.
- 12:21He wasn't obedient what that's Word for today.
- 12:26Obedient Matthew 7:24 says anyone who listens to God's word
- 12:32and does it is wise. So the wise person is obedient
- 12:36to God's word, you do know what obedient means.
- 12:40Don't you Paco? What are you thinking?
- 12:42Of course, I know what it means. Okay.
- 12:46Prove it. Prove it like if I tell you to
- 12:49do something, how would you be obedient?
- 12:52It depends on what you tell me to do.
- 12:55No, it doesn't. If I tell you to do something,
- 12:58you're either obedient or you're not obedient.
- 13:02That's what I'm saying. What if you tell me to eat my
- 13:05veggies? Maybe I'd be doing.
- 13:08It depends on if I like the veggies but I don't like them.
- 13:12I did not doing it. Now, if you tell me to jump off
- 13:14a cliff, there is no way I'd be doing that.
- 13:17But if you tell me to tell someone about Jesus, I'd be
- 13:20doing it. That's all be doing it.
- 13:23The word is, Median. Not o be doing it same thing,
- 13:28man. It's not the same thing.
- 13:30If I tell you to do something and you do it, that's obedient I
- 13:35be doing it. But if I tell you to do
- 13:37something and you don't do it, then you're not obedient.
- 13:41I did not doing it. The word is obedient obedient
- 13:45winning it. I give up you win.
- 13:50I be did it, man. I mean, did it?
- 14:04Okay, so one day Jesus is teaching his disciples and then
- 14:08Santiago and Wands and tell who not Santa, who Santiago and
- 14:13Juan, who is hey, Jesus disciples remember, as Santiago
- 14:19in one. Well, then read your Bible.
- 14:22Anyway. So Santiago and Juan go to Jesus
- 14:26and say a, when we get to heaven, can we sit beside you?
- 14:29You know, like right next to you.
- 14:31Oh, you mean James and John? That's what I said.
- 14:35No, you said, Santiago and one I was same thing.
- 14:40So why did they want to sit next to Jesus?
- 14:43What do you think they want it to be in charge Man In Charge?
- 14:47Yeah, you know, Jesus is the King on his throne and then his
- 14:50assistant Kings, Santiago, and Juan sit beside him.
- 14:54But Jesus said, if you want to be in charge, then you have to
- 14:58be a surfer and server. Yeah.
- 15:01Greatest in his kingdom is the surfer of all.
- 15:06I think you mean servant serpent, isn't that a snake
- 15:11servant a person that serves that helps others.
- 15:16In fact, our word for today is helpful, Galatians 5:13 says
- 15:20serve one. Another in love that's being
- 15:23helpful, helpful. Yeah.
- 15:26Jesus was telling them that to be great in his kingdom.
- 15:29You have to be helpful. Well, I'm always Helpful, when
- 15:32it's time to eat. Uh, do you pass the food around?
- 15:36No, I just tell my mama, I want a helping full of beans and a
- 15:40helping full of rice and helping full of carne.
- 15:44No, no, no, not helping full helpful.
- 15:48That means you help others every time you have a chance like when
- 15:52I put my plate in the sink. Yeah.
- 15:54But you could offer to put someone else's plate in the sink
- 15:58too. Like who?
- 15:59Well anybody your mom Dad your brother or sister.
- 16:03Why can't? They take their own plates?
- 16:05They have two legs. What else can I do to be
- 16:08helpful? Well, if someone was hurt, you
- 16:11could pray for them or cheer them up, or get them some water.
- 16:14Mmm, if someone was getting picked on, you could be their
- 16:17friend and stand up for them and if somebody didn't know Jesus
- 16:21you could tell them. Those are good ideas fish.
- 16:25I'm going to start being helpful.
- 16:27It, can I put your plate in the sink for you for me?
- 16:30Yeah. You don't have any legs so I
- 16:33thought I would help.
