- 0:17Speaker 1: So tell us about this great first date you had.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Yeah, it was kind of crazy, Like we talked a bunch,
- 0:22Speaker 3: you know, before we met, and like, you know, I
- 0:25Speaker 3: thought we had a real connection, and like were going great,
- 0:27Speaker 3: and you know, it was so exciting to meet in person.
- 0:30Speaker 3: And yeah, the date was going great until something you know,
- 0:34Speaker 3: kind of crazy happened.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Well, okay, what happened.
- 0:37Speaker 4: Well, so we were.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Having dinner and like our food didn't even come out,
- 0:40Speaker 3: and she got a call from her friend that she
- 0:43Speaker 3: was in a car accident. So she had to leave
- 0:46Speaker 3: the date, you know, to go help a friend to
- 0:48Speaker 3: make sure she was okay.
- 0:49Speaker 1: And you know, okay, so the date is going great.
- 0:54Speaker 2: You're at dinner, you're having cocktails or whatever, you order
- 0:56Speaker 2: your meal, and before the meal even a rite, she
- 1:00Speaker 2: gets a phone call that her friend was in a
- 1:02Speaker 2: bad accident.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know the extent of it. Okay, I
- 1:07Speaker 3: kind of left in a hurry, but yeah, that's what happened.
- 1:10Speaker 1: And did you reach out? Have you been reaching out
- 1:13Speaker 1: to her?
- 1:14Speaker 3: Of course? Yeah, you know I wanted to, you know,
- 1:16Speaker 3: make sure friend was okay and everything was going all right.
- 1:18Speaker 3: But yeah, for since the dinner, I haven't heard from her.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Okay, that's weird.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Solly, you're you have reached out to ask how is
- 1:26Speaker 2: your friend?
- 1:27Speaker 1: How is everything? And she's not responding at all.
- 1:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Mostly I just want to make sure she's okay. Like
- 1:33Speaker 3: I'm you know, I've just been kind.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Of worried too, because you know what, usually we would say,
- 1:36Speaker 1: all right, did you pay?
- 1:37Speaker 2: But I mean she laughed, so obviously you paid, Like,
- 1:40Speaker 2: and you weren't there long enough to have too many cocktails,
- 1:43Speaker 2: so you weren't like wasted or anything.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Yeah, Like yeah, like I you know, I waited, and
- 1:48Speaker 3: you know I ate my meal and you know I
- 1:50Speaker 3: took hers to go and paid for dinner and like
- 1:54Speaker 3: so crazy.
- 1:55Speaker 2: All right, Well we're going to call her up. The
- 1:57Speaker 2: producer says, her name is Shelby. So we're gonna called
- 2:00Speaker 2: Shelby and you're going to be listening in at any point.
- 2:03Speaker 1: If you want to confront her, you can.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Okay, all right, thank you so much.
- 2:09Speaker 2: That's a little sketchy. Unless her friend is really her
- 2:11Speaker 2: and in the hospital.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Oh you know what, that's a good point. Maybe it's
- 2:15Speaker 1: like a like a traumatic situation. She's triggered by it.
- 2:19Speaker 4: Hello.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Hi, is this Shelby? Yes, me seeking Hi Shelby. It's
- 2:25Speaker 1: Courtney Shelby. What's up. It's Walmart chef. Hey, Shelby, It's Savannah.
- 2:28Speaker 1: How's it going?
- 2:31Speaker 3: Hi?
- 2:31Speaker 5: Hey, doing good?
- 2:34Speaker 3: Well?
- 2:34Speaker 2: Obviously you know we're calling from Kiss ninety five to seven.
- 2:36Speaker 2: You're on the radio, and the reason we're calling is
- 2:38Speaker 2: because you're on second date update. Oh what, you're on
- 2:44Speaker 2: second date updates. So you go on a first date,
- 2:46Speaker 2: you get ghosted, call us and we get the answers.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Nate super nice, cold.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Lacey said he went on a date with you that
- 2:52Speaker 2: ended kind of weird, and you've been ghosting him ever since.
- 2:58Speaker 5: Oh my god.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, so we're just checking on you too. So
- 3:03Speaker 1: I'm glad you answered the phone.
- 3:04Speaker 2: According to Nate, the date was fabulous, but you left
- 3:08Speaker 2: before the meal even arrived. You got a phone call
- 3:11Speaker 2: from your best friend about a car accident.
- 3:12Speaker 1: He's been trying to reach out to you.
- 3:15Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, Yeah, I'm really glad I got out of
- 3:21Speaker 5: that one.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Is your friend okay? Is your girlfriend? Okay?
- 3:27Speaker 5: Yeah she is definitely fine. Yeah, Nate is. He's actually
- 3:34Speaker 5: I hate to say this, but he's one of those
- 3:36Speaker 5: guys that aggressively spits when he talks. And yeah, I
- 3:42Speaker 5: couldn't even get through my meal. It was disgusting.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Okay, Shelby, was your girlfriend in a car accident?
- 3:50Speaker 5: No, I had to text my friend to have her
- 3:53Speaker 5: give me an excuse so I can leave. I didn't
- 3:55Speaker 5: even want to finish the date like I wanted. I
- 3:59Speaker 5: was trying to it out of there.
- 4:00Speaker 1: So wait, that's good.
- 4:02Speaker 4: That's that's low Kei's so messed up, Like that's that's
- 4:06Speaker 4: messed up?
- 4:07Speaker 5: I mean, is it?
- 4:08Speaker 4: Though?
- 4:08Speaker 5: I feel like that's like the excuse everyone has, Like
- 4:11Speaker 5: you always hit the friend that can call you to
- 4:14Speaker 5: get out the date.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Yeah, but yeah, but you use like a bogus excuse like, oh,
- 4:18Speaker 1: like my mom's feeling sick, Oh my dog is sick.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Not my friend got into devastating car accent?
- 4:22Speaker 2: How about just being just finished out the date? And
- 4:25Speaker 2: say you weren't feeling a connection. I mean, that would
- 4:27Speaker 2: be the right thing to do. But Shelby, so you're
- 4:29Speaker 2: telling me when he talked, he was like he was
- 4:32Speaker 2: spitting when he talked.
- 4:33Speaker 1: And is that what's happening?
- 4:36Speaker 5: Yeah, like every it would almost spit. He almost spit
- 4:40Speaker 5: in my food, like it was traveling across you didn't
- 4:43Speaker 5: even have any food with no awareness.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Okay, Nate, Nate is on the line. He's listening in Nate,
- 4:50Speaker 2: are you an aggressive spitter? Apparently when you talk?
- 4:54Speaker 3: No, and like she's talking about like I was spitting
- 4:57Speaker 3: in her food, like she didn't even give me a chance,
- 4:59Speaker 3: you know, to have din with her. I don't know
- 5:00Speaker 3: what he's talking about.
- 5:02Speaker 5: Oh my god, Shelby, I don't even want to talk
- 5:05Speaker 5: about this with you, you know. But honestly, I would
- 5:09Speaker 5: have brought an umbrella if I knew how much you're
- 5:12Speaker 5: in a spit when you talk.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Oh, like, oh my goodness.
- 5:15Speaker 5: I needed some windshield wipers. If I was wearing kine
- 5:19Speaker 5: glass like I needed to get out of there.
- 5:22Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure I would notice like I would my
- 5:24Speaker 3: shirt would be soaking wet the way you're making it sound.
- 5:27Speaker 3: If I was just spitting out of my mouth all day, like, yeah,
- 5:29Speaker 3: that's true.
- 5:29Speaker 5: Well my shirt was practically soaking wet, not yours, because
- 5:33Speaker 5: it was traveling, all right.
- 5:34Speaker 4: He hate Shelby on a scale of one to ten
- 5:36Speaker 4: and one being completely dry and ten being like Daffy Duck,
- 5:40Speaker 4: because where where would he rank in between that scale?
- 5:45Speaker 4: Because I'm just picturing Daffy Duck sitting across from you.
- 5:47Speaker 4: You're trying to eat a salad, and they're spit and
- 5:50Speaker 4: sliva flying everywhere.
- 5:51Speaker 1: It's not even funny, Jeff, I thought it was pretty funny.
- 5:54Speaker 1: I don't think it's funny. Savannah's laughing. I'm sorry. This
- 5:57Speaker 1: whole thing is just insane, all right, it's rude. I
- 6:00Speaker 1: think it's rude.
- 6:01Speaker 2: I think Shelby, you should have been woman enough to say, hey,
- 6:03Speaker 2: finish out the date and just say there wasn't a
- 6:05Speaker 2: connection or you were not attracted to him in that way.
- 6:08Speaker 1: That's all I'm saying, this is why.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Or maybe sitting the next booth over.
- 6:12Speaker 1: I just there's a certain way about going going about it.
- 6:15Speaker 5: You go on a date with Nate then and you
- 6:18Speaker 5: know you are single.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I don't like spinners, Nate. I'm just actually, Nate, I'm
- 6:28Speaker 1: just teasing. I'm teasing. I'm joking. I just think there's
- 6:34Speaker 1: not a connection, so I'm not I'm not even going
- 6:37Speaker 1: to offer another date or to pick up the tab.
- 6:39Speaker 2: But listen, I appreciate you picking up, Shelby, because Nate
- 6:42Speaker 2: deserves to have some answers and not just get ghosted
- 6:45Speaker 2: like that.
- 6:45Speaker 1: So I appreciate you least picking up the phone. And
- 6:47Speaker 1: we're glad nobody got hurt in the car accident. Yes
- 6:49Speaker 1: that's good too.
- 6:51Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, okay, all right, thanks.
- 6:54Speaker 2: All right, thank you, Shelby, Nate. I'm glad you got
- 6:57Speaker 2: your answers. Thank you so much for reaching out to us.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Thank you for I don't know what to say, but yeah,
- 7:03Speaker 3: thank you,
