- 0:08Speaker 3: Now, you know a lot of times people say to us,
- 0:12Speaker 3: you know that we stretch the truth a little bit
- 0:14Speaker 3: on our show. Who's just people on this treosers, And
- 0:18Speaker 3: it's like, I don't think so unbelievable. What I'm about
- 0:21Speaker 3: to tell you is absolutely true. It's a true story.
- 0:24Speaker 4: Happened right well.
- 0:27Speaker 3: You know, sometimes I might charm a story a little
- 0:30Speaker 3: bit o tell a true charm it.
- 0:32Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 0:34Speaker 3: So my wife said to me last night, oh god, listen,
- 0:37Speaker 3: we're getting a bit low on the old pantry stocks.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Can you maybe do a food shop tomorrow?
- 0:42Speaker 4: You me, yeah, And I said.
- 0:43Speaker 5: Oh god, she's got to cheek that woman.
- 0:45Speaker 3: And I was like, yeah, okay, yeah, fine.
- 0:50Speaker 4: So I get up today.
- 0:53Speaker 3: I sought my daughter out and then I, you know,
- 0:56Speaker 3: get it to.
- 0:56Speaker 4: School and stuff. I look out.
- 0:57Speaker 3: So it's pissing down a thrain, you know. To be
- 0:59Speaker 3: honest with you, I really can't as doing that. I can't
- 1:01Speaker 3: be asked going and doing a shop. And then I
- 1:03Speaker 3: gave myself a swift upper cut, and you know, and
- 1:05Speaker 3: I went, no, no, get out there and do it.
- 1:08Speaker 3: And our supermarket's about twenty five minutes away, right, So
- 1:11Speaker 3: I go outside, I get all the recycling bags for
- 1:13Speaker 3: the for the shopping there. I walk out in the
- 1:16Speaker 3: rain and get in the car. I get with I
- 1:17Speaker 3: drive all the way to the supermarket.
- 1:19Speaker 4: I do the shop.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Takes me about an hour to get all the food.

- 1:36Speaker 5: That is a shocker.
- 1:39Speaker 3: So I think to myself, you absolute ob I'm fuming
- 1:44Speaker 3: by this stage.
- 1:45Speaker 4: So I go to the car. I checked the car,
- 1:47Speaker 4: no wallet, So I'm like, oh fuck. Drive all the
- 1:51Speaker 4: way home, twenty five minutes.
- 1:53Speaker 3: All the way home, look around my house, can't find
- 1:55Speaker 3: the wallet anywhere. And I'm like, oh jesus, I'm a
- 1:57Speaker 3: perplectic now I'm just absolutely filthy. So I drive all
- 2:01Speaker 3: the way back to the supermarket, thinking I must have
- 2:03Speaker 3: dropped it in the supermarket car park and or it's
- 2:06Speaker 3: in the supermarket.
- 2:08Speaker 4: So I drive all the way back.
- 2:09Speaker 5: I've got a bad feeling that I.
- 2:11Speaker 4: Part the car.
- 2:12Speaker 3: I part the car and as I'm getting out of
- 2:14Speaker 3: the carry look down the side panel of the of
- 2:16Speaker 3: the driver's door.
- 2:18Speaker 4: There there's my wallet.
- 2:19Speaker 5: Ah wow.
- 2:21Speaker 3: And I'm thinking to myself, Oh, you are kidding me
- 2:23Speaker 3: because I never put my wallet.
- 2:25Speaker 4: I've never put my wallet in there before.
- 2:27Speaker 5: Your daughter did it?
- 2:28Speaker 4: Well, no, what must have been mean?
- 2:30Speaker 3: I was, because I was sewn on into doing this
- 2:31Speaker 3: whole job in the first place.
- 2:33Speaker 4: Put it in there.
- 2:34Speaker 3: And I was like, oh fuck, But at least I'd
- 2:36Speaker 3: found my wallet, right, that's good.
- 2:37Speaker 4: So I go back and.
- 2:38Speaker 3: It takes some ten minutes of fine where I put
- 2:40Speaker 3: my groceries, and then I'm going and I'm going to pain.
- 2:42Speaker 3: And she said to me, and I quote, do you
- 2:45Speaker 3: have a gold card? I swear to God, I swear
- 2:51Speaker 3: to God. And I went, excuse me, and she said
- 2:55Speaker 3: do you have a gold card? And I said, why
- 2:57Speaker 3: do I look like I'm.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Clearly losing your marble?
- 3:00Speaker 3: And she went, ah, because I said, what do I think?
- 3:03Speaker 3: Do I look like I need a gold card? I'd
- 3:05Speaker 3: have a gold card. She went, well, you're kind of
- 3:07Speaker 3: and I was like, no, I don't have a gold card.
- 3:10Speaker 5: Did you check down the side of the the.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Day I was having so I'm fuming. By now, I

- 3:19Speaker 5: It's getting down. Did you get someone to help you?
- 3:21Speaker 5: Because you get your bed back and then.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Well you on a thought staff. I want a gold card.
- 3:25Speaker 4: I get all the way home. It's pissing down. I'm
- 3:27Speaker 4: running down.
- 3:28Speaker 3: I'm getting all the groceries out of the back of
- 3:29Speaker 3: the car. We have the biggest bag running down the path.
- 3:32Speaker 4: Rap. The whole art of the bag comes.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Out smash, just smash on the pavement and the eggs
- 3:42Speaker 3: and the eggs and by.
- 3:45Speaker 4: That was my morning. Man, that was my morning.
- 3:49Speaker 5: I've got some questions about it. Okay, I might take
- 3:51Speaker 5: you back through that step by step. Sure, I enjoyed that.
- 3:55Speaker 6: I really enjoyed it as well.
- 3:56Speaker 3: I didn't enjoy it at all, especially the gold card.
- 4:00Speaker 5: You know, I like that.
- 4:01Speaker 4: It's the first time I've ever been asked that.

- 4:44Speaker 5: like that.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Totally and what a life, Mike, and the times that
- 4:50Speaker 3: we had to get you know, I guess I was
- 4:51Speaker 3: just recalling those, you know, reliving the old memories, and
- 4:55Speaker 3: I got a bit emotional relationships when you're younger as well, massively.

- 6:06Speaker 3: the ground. Yeah, queen, it was actually six ribs. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 6:12Speaker 3: it was just as well. I was esteemed, actually did
- 6:14Speaker 3: really feel it at the time. But the next day she.

- 6:45Speaker 3: singer there, I've heard that it is. You can't actually
- 6:49Speaker 3: tell the difference between you and the lead singer of
- 6:53Speaker 3: the Datsun's Rudolph divorced.

- 7:53Speaker 5: There has been trying to keep her away from us? Yeah?

- 7:59Speaker 3: each other, you know that every time that.
- 8:05Speaker 4: She brings us up.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Yeah, Keysy's like changing the subject all the time or
- 8:09Speaker 3: trying to just stretch into another sort of area. Yeah,
- 8:11Speaker 3: and she finds out really weird and defensive and I
- 8:14Speaker 3: but I definitely got that vibe meeting her in person
- 8:17Speaker 3: at the first time.
- 8:18Speaker 5: She is lovely. And then you talk about the d
- 8:20Speaker 5: ms there actually, and of course we've got a new
- 8:22Speaker 5: video that's come up on FACI and on the old
- 8:25Speaker 5: instau and that, and it turns out of you actually,
- 8:28Speaker 5: is it me? Is it doing a little when you
- 8:31Speaker 5: were out of the room and you don't know this
- 8:33Speaker 5: old Keysy, you've seen your wife a friend request on
- 8:37Speaker 5: the old facie, how do you feel about how do
- 8:42Speaker 5: you feel about that one?
- 8:43Speaker 6: Now, just keep in mind that you regularly DM my fiance,
- 8:48Speaker 6: you know, you message her daily.
- 8:50Speaker 5: According to you, I'm just going to I'm just going
- 8:53Speaker 5: to illustrate. I'm just going to paint a picture for

- 9:18Speaker 6: Well just to be like, hey, hurry up, like you
- 9:21Speaker 6: want to be friends with you so you can d.
- 9:22Speaker 5: Because you said you're seeing a request, but then you're
- 9:24Speaker 5: seeing a message as well that said this is more
- 9:26Speaker 5: than a request.
- 9:28Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, And then I tried to call her using
- 9:31Speaker 6: Facebook Messenger as well. Did you just to draw her
- 9:33Speaker 6: attention back to her phone.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Leave like a winky emoji or anything like that. Yeah, well,
- 9:40Speaker 3: I'll be having a word tonight. That and I can
- 9:42Speaker 3: you can rest assured, Keezy not going to happen, not
- 9:45Speaker 3: on my watch mate, when my wife and I have
- 9:48Speaker 3: a very close relationship and no one, no one is
- 9:52Speaker 3: getting in between us.
- 9:54Speaker 6: Why are you so defensive?
- 9:55Speaker 5: I feel like I'll tell you what, man, If you

- 10:26Speaker 6: that he's been working out and eating healthy and stuff.
- 10:28Speaker 6: That's the part I'm a bit disappointed about. I'm glad
- 10:30Speaker 6: you feel good about yourself.
- 10:31Speaker 5: Cheese balls and pies.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Yeah, really you think I hoe into the cheese balls
- 10:35Speaker 3: used to see Mokey, you know.
- 10:36Speaker 5: Because I haven't had any chips in the studio all year,
- 10:40Speaker 5: nothing moments, protein bars and stuff. Sure, but you know
- 10:47Speaker 5: you must have seen through that, surely.
- 10:48Speaker 3: You know, man, and I have so many people come
- 10:51Speaker 3: up to me in the supermarket and and.
- 10:54Speaker 4: You know, on the streets and stuff, and they go, jays,

- 11:20Speaker 3: Pessed about, gets ready pested about that stuff, you know,
- 11:25Speaker 3: because she's quite jealous. She's alon mate, And I get

- 11:37Speaker 6: Are you about loud enough?
- 11:38Speaker 5: I have?
- 11:38Speaker 6: But are you about to admit that you've had worked
- 11:40Speaker 6: done as well?
- 11:40Speaker 5: Oh? Hell?
- 11:41Speaker 4: Here right? So what if you had done this brist augmentation?
- 11:45Speaker 4: That is that?
- 11:46Speaker 6: Why that's so massy?
- 11:47Speaker 4: Yeah, they're hot, we'll feel them, go ahead, I don't
- 11:50Speaker 4: want to know. We'll just have a touch, all right, fine,
- 11:54Speaker 4: How good is that?
- 11:54Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 11:55Speaker 6: Yeah, heels pretty good?
- 11:56Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 11:57Speaker 4: Yeah, rhyino plastic. I had a bit of rhino plastic plastic? Yeah,
- 12:00Speaker 4: what's that?
- 12:02Speaker 3: The old like Mogi, but the opposite. I got more
- 12:07Speaker 3: put on because I was wanting it to be a
- 12:09Speaker 3: bit sort of regal character.
- 12:12Speaker 4: Yeah, character and all that sort of character acting. And
- 12:14Speaker 4: I don't want to.
- 12:15Speaker 6: Be too hot, right, too hot?
- 12:18Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 12:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't want to be cast the hot sixy lead.
- 12:21Speaker 8: All the time.

- 12:30Speaker 5: Bliffer plastic, yeah, bliffer pastic.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Islands, the old Islands tightened up a little bit there,
- 12:37Speaker 3: and chine augmentation.
- 12:39Speaker 5: Yeah. I've actually got to get the bliffer done because
- 12:41Speaker 5: my doctor said, I've got those.
- 12:43Speaker 3: Fluids, you know, and I.
- 12:48Speaker 5: I've got to get my ears pinned back. Yeah. Yeah,
- 12:51Speaker 5: I got to get some hair put in just around
- 12:53Speaker 5: the receding you said, I'm gonna get some more here.
- 12:55Speaker 5: I want to bring my hairline just down.
- 12:57Speaker 6: Like right, you're pointing to just about you.
- 13:00Speaker 5: About my eyebrows, because I think you want to. You
- 13:02Speaker 5: want to when people see you to be like, oh
- 13:04Speaker 5: my god, who is that? No one's even been seen
- 13:07Speaker 5: with hereline that goes all the way down to the eyebrows.
- 13:09Speaker 5: Just from the eyebrows, it's just here all the way, yeah,
- 13:14Speaker 5: with a part right up the gats.
- 13:15Speaker 6: Yeah right, and then your fake picks and your traps.
- 13:18Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, I've got to be honest with you. I
- 13:19Speaker 4: wasn't going to mention this.
- 13:21Speaker 5: What's that?
- 13:21Speaker 6: Jase?
- 13:22Speaker 3: Have amount of people that come up to me and go,
- 13:24Speaker 3: how do you have such lustrous here?
- 13:26Speaker 4: Jason here transplants you're joking. No, I'm not so.
- 13:30Speaker 6: Am I the only one of the big show that
- 13:31Speaker 6: hasn't had any work.
- 13:32Speaker 4: Done, ironically the one that needs the most work, right.
- 13:37Speaker 6: So if you were me, then what would you start with?
- 13:39Speaker 6: And don't say don't God.
- 13:42Speaker 4: Damn, where do you have again?
- 13:43Speaker 5: Geezy?
- 13:45Speaker 3: Well look, I think you can take a couple of
- 13:47Speaker 3: feet off the snols for a stack.
- 13:48Speaker 5: Couple of feet.
- 13:53Speaker 6: Choking some fake buzsies like you.
- 13:54Speaker 4: Oh you can get some fake busies, do it, mate.
- 13:57Speaker 6: I might just they feel good keysy, I know, but
- 13:59Speaker 6: no offense. I might just do it the good old
- 14:01Speaker 6: fashioned way. Workout, go for runs, eat healthy.
- 14:04Speaker 5: You can run all you want. You're never going to
- 14:07Speaker 5: lose any weight off that massive speaker.
- 14:09Speaker 6: You're never outrun that key.
- 14:13Speaker 2: The Hurdiarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hurdarchy.
- 14:17Speaker 5: I was just having a bit of a reminisce, actually,
- 14:19Speaker 5: Jose about the old trip. We trip we took down
- 14:22Speaker 5: to New Plymouth here. So it was good. Did an
- 14:24Speaker 5: outside broadcast here down at the beautiful Shining Peak Brewery.
- 14:30Speaker 5: Good time. So tell you what though, just quite you know,
- 14:33Speaker 5: just between us, I'm quite a nervous flyer, yes, And
- 14:40Speaker 5: that's a smaller plane that goes down there at a
- 14:42Speaker 5: new Plymouth from the from Auckland, and so I was
- 14:45Speaker 5: a little bit I was a little bit bloody shaky
- 14:48Speaker 5: on the air. And there there's an old fellow of
- 14:51Speaker 5: just across from the aisle, across the oil from me,
- 14:55Speaker 5: and he's I got the feeling he could he could
- 14:57Speaker 5: sort of see it in me.
- 14:59Speaker 3: He's about your anxiety and the affairs and yeah.
- 15:03Speaker 5: And I mean he was about ninety so he's probably
- 15:07Speaker 5: seen a bit of it. But anyway, next to him
- 15:10Speaker 5: he had a cardboard box, pretty normal sort of size
- 15:14Speaker 5: one there that was parked up, and I just assumed
- 15:17Speaker 5: that it was a cat in there, because I thought, oh,
- 15:18Speaker 5: maybe they're not going to put it in the hole
- 15:20Speaker 5: because it's a smaller plane, and I just he's knocks
- 15:22Speaker 5: it out with some drugs and it's not going to
- 15:24Speaker 5: try and scratch its way out. Yeah. Yeah, But as
- 15:27Speaker 5: it turned out it had a kiwi in it. It did, yeah,
- 15:32Speaker 5: And I got to yarning to him and he said, no, no,
- 15:34Speaker 5: it's not a cat. It's a kiwi. And he travels
- 15:37Speaker 5: all over the country with his keywi. It flies beside
- 15:39Speaker 5: him in the box and he takes it around to
- 15:41Speaker 5: see school children. There was going to see a thousand
- 15:44Speaker 5: school children that that very day, yeah, which is bloody amazing,
- 15:48Speaker 5: and actually managed to calm me down a bit. But
- 15:50Speaker 5: then we had a bit of the old bloody turbulance
- 15:52Speaker 5: right as they started bringing the you know, the drinks
- 15:54Speaker 5: trolley around. And that's it for me, man, I absolutely
- 15:58Speaker 5: freak out when that sort of thing's going on. I
- 16:01Speaker 5: don't know about you, You go.
- 16:02Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, I'm not good with turbulence.
- 16:04Speaker 3: To be fair, I tend to sort of hold someone's
- 16:06Speaker 3: hand or grip someone's thigh in that situation.
- 16:09Speaker 4: Yeah you know what I mean. Yeah, but yeah, not good.
- 16:13Speaker 5: Not good at all. And then of course they because
- 16:18Speaker 5: what's funny is the staff, the ehst they don't actually care, No,
- 16:22Speaker 5: they sort of wander up and down, not bothered about it.
- 16:24Speaker 5: They've seen worse, keisy, if you know what I'm saying.
- 16:26Speaker 6: Yeah, they have to keep everyone calm back.
- 16:28Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's right. But then anyway, they went
- 16:32Speaker 5: to hand me a cup of me coffee there geez,
- 16:34Speaker 5: bloody hot. I thought they held you thin paper cups,
- 16:38Speaker 5: but they actually had double stacked them, so pulled me
- 16:41Speaker 5: a nice hot cup of hot joe. They are a
- 16:43Speaker 5: little bit nervous. Think that'll calm me nerves, Doe. We
- 16:46Speaker 5: hit some turbulence there, yes, and bugging me days if
- 16:51Speaker 5: I haven't just tipped it all over there, old sparkly there,
- 16:55Speaker 5: the old Kiwi.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Yeah, what have you ever heard a kiwi screw?
- 17:01Speaker 9: No?
- 17:01Speaker 4: My god, I mean it's not pleasant.
- 17:03Speaker 5: I have heard that unless if one canceling headphones.
- 17:08Speaker 4: Hot coffee, Yeah, straight out of the snout, the eyes,
- 17:11Speaker 4: the head.
- 17:12Speaker 5: It was awful because they're not used to that in
- 17:14Speaker 5: the world. No, they're very really, you'll very rarely see
- 17:18Speaker 5: a key we get sprayed with hot coffee. Yeah. So well,
- 17:23Speaker 5: I went into a state of shock pretty quick once
- 17:26Speaker 5: I's screaming died down. Jason. Yeah, and that was good
- 17:28Speaker 5: because that's sort of like that was freaking me.
- 17:30Speaker 6: Yeah right, yeah, and so was it like, is the
- 17:35Speaker 6: key we alive?
- 17:36Speaker 5: Well not technically, he is alive in the hearts and
- 17:39Speaker 5: minds of thousands of school children, obviously in the memories, right,
- 17:44Speaker 5: But yeah, I mean we're just sort of thinking that probably,
- 17:46Speaker 5: you know, the kids that day will be just as
- 17:48Speaker 5: happy to see a dead one as a live one,
- 17:50Speaker 5: better a dead one than no at all.
- 17:52Speaker 3: And they still get to touch it and yeah, yeah,
- 17:56Speaker 3: the air is a danger of getting quite stinky though,
- 18:00Speaker 3: But tell you what, the.
- 18:01Speaker 5: Worst thing was the feathers. Jason, Hey, yeah, ruined totally mate.
- 18:07Speaker 1: The whole Archy B Show one days from four on
- 18:10Speaker 1: Radio Hurdich.
- 18:11Speaker 3: We said before the break there, actually we've got a
- 18:13Speaker 3: bit of an issue with old Keesy Monogio was pretty
- 18:17Speaker 3: fired up and the old bulgers were really seeming.
- 18:20Speaker 4: And I tell you so, we.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Actually took the time there and the break and the
- 18:24Speaker 3: tune too for old Monoggio just to have a sip
- 18:28Speaker 3: of water and calm down and take a few deep breasts.
- 18:31Speaker 4: You're all good now, mate, just.
- 18:32Speaker 5: To decompress a little.
- 18:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:33Speaker 5: The thing about it is, Jason, and I think you
- 18:36Speaker 5: and I have had this discussion, you know, amongst ourselves before.
- 18:39Speaker 5: But when I'm angry, when I act angry, it's because
- 18:43Speaker 5: it's just to cover up the fact that I've had
- 18:45Speaker 5: my feelings hurt. Yeah You've been hurt. Yeah, yeah, And
- 18:48Speaker 5: so it's sort of a big cover up. It's a
- 18:50Speaker 5: big facade. It might be angry, but really I'm just
- 18:53Speaker 5: I'm crying on the inside. Yeah, I think that's what's
- 18:55Speaker 5: happened here because I just cannot believe that you and
- 18:59Speaker 5: I have been stabbed in the back.
- 19:04Speaker 6: Can I just say my initial you can?
- 19:07Speaker 4: Yeah? Look, can I just say.
- 19:11Speaker 3: What I'm like here in the sense that you're a
- 19:14Speaker 3: good but I might, I might appear.
- 19:17Speaker 4: I just bury it deep deep within me.
- 19:21Speaker 5: Uh.
- 19:22Speaker 3: And as a consequence of that, the hurt I'm talking about,
- 19:25Speaker 3: it feels like knives stabbing me in the gap, and
- 19:28Speaker 3: I just push it all down and suppress it.
- 19:31Speaker 5: Sounds yeah, but anyway, I mean, I was it's all
- 19:35Speaker 5: saturd today, Jose, when I was sort of going through
- 19:37Speaker 5: the old Instagram there, look, and what do I come
- 19:42Speaker 5: across but an image of old Keyzy. It's some sort
- 19:46Speaker 5: of shindig with the entire staff. Yeah, we're talking mate,
- 19:52Speaker 5: and there's a it looks like some kind of a
- 19:54Speaker 5: lunch look flashed. Everybody was there, everybody, Jay said as
- 20:00Speaker 5: to say, except for you and me. Indeed, So I
- 20:05Speaker 5: made some inquiries and it turned out that old Kezy
- 20:09Speaker 5: was meant to be the one to invite us along. Yeah,
- 20:12Speaker 5: I didn't get an invite. Did you get an invite? No?
- 20:14Speaker 5: I didn't mit, So it just here. It's because I
- 20:17Speaker 5: thought that we were a team. Yeah, and it turns
- 20:19Speaker 5: out that maybe we're not.
- 20:22Speaker 3: It's interesting, isn't it, Because I think what you're referring
- 20:25Speaker 3: to is the beer and pie July scenario.
- 20:29Speaker 5: And it hurts.
- 20:34Speaker 3: A bit for me too, because you know, as you know,
- 20:36Speaker 3: I wasn't invited as well. And just yesterday I won't
- 20:39Speaker 3: name names, but someone in the office.
- 20:41Speaker 4: Here just unleashing on Kesey.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Just get face, not to his face, and I was like, hey, hey, hey, hey,
- 20:49Speaker 3: are you stuck.
- 20:50Speaker 4: I won't have I won't have that kind of carry on.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Thanks Jo, you know Kezy, you leave Kezy to us.
- 20:58Speaker 5: He's prospecting for the big shoe exactly.
- 21:01Speaker 3: I won't have anyone, you know, putting in a hard
- 21:03Speaker 3: word on Kezy.
- 21:05Speaker 4: And then I find out from.
- 21:07Speaker 3: Kate today that you've spoken Kezy about inviting me and
- 21:10Speaker 3: you along.
- 21:11Speaker 4: To this big Sois Ray with the pies.
- 21:15Speaker 3: And the beersies, and right then Kezy didn't pass it on.
- 21:19Speaker 6: Look, I apologize.
- 21:21Speaker 5: And now whenever I get an apology, I like to
- 21:24Speaker 5: hear I'm sorry. Hang on, I'll make an apology because
- 21:27Speaker 5: it's talking about you saying sorry. I want to hear
- 21:29Speaker 5: you say sorry, not that One day you're going to
- 21:31Speaker 5: make an apology.
- 21:32Speaker 6: Just hang on, all right, So what's happened here? We've
- 21:34Speaker 6: got our wires crossed. It's a classic case of just
- 21:37Speaker 6: some misunderstanding.
- 21:38Speaker 5: Do you know what this feels like? Jason? Yeah, yeah,
- 21:40Speaker 5: he's trying to do the odd switch through.
- 21:44Speaker 6: So what's happened is Kate has said, hey, Kezy, do
- 21:47Speaker 6: you reckon? Mike and Jason be keen to come to
- 21:49Speaker 6: a beer and pie July thing? And I said, oh,
- 21:51Speaker 6: I'm pretty sure they're both busy today, but invite them anyway.
- 21:55Speaker 4: I don't know what was I doing.
- 21:58Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 21:58Speaker 4: Why would you say we were busy.
- 22:00Speaker 6: I just I remembered looking at the calendar and thinking
- 22:02Speaker 6: and seeing you guys had stuff.
- 22:03Speaker 4: On, well, calendar, calendar.
- 22:05Speaker 6: I run a big show calendar, and anyways, but I said, hey,
- 22:08Speaker 6: invite them anyway.
- 22:09Speaker 5: So what's probably the only reason you'd run a big
- 22:11Speaker 5: show calendar is if there's a picture of busies on it.
- 22:15Speaker 6: Well, yeah, admittedly there is a picture of busies on it.
- 22:17Speaker 6: But I looked at the calendar for a long time
- 22:20Speaker 6: ages just double checking everything, and I think what's happened
- 22:24Speaker 6: is she's invited you by email I think I might
- 22:25Speaker 6: have gone to a junk mail or something like that.
- 22:29Speaker 5: Yeah, it's interesting that it just never came up in conversation, Jess,
- 22:33Speaker 5: you guys coming to the latch tomorrow, you know, or
- 22:35Speaker 5: something like that.
- 22:35Speaker 9: You know.
- 22:36Speaker 5: I mean, I just think, I just I just think
- 22:39Speaker 5: we deserve to hear you say you are sorry.
- 22:42Speaker 6: Okay, look, I'm sorry that this happened to you guys.
- 22:44Speaker 6: I can understand why. I'm sorry that I did this
- 22:49Speaker 6: to you guys. Think I can understand you're upset. I
- 22:52Speaker 6: will make sure next time that you guys get the invite.
- 22:54Speaker 6: I will do it in person, verbally, or I'll call
- 22:57Speaker 6: you all.
- 22:57Speaker 5: Right, Well, don't do that. Yeah, Well, I hate the work.
- 23:01Speaker 4: I didn't want to go.
- 23:02Speaker 5: You hate work functions. How was it today?
- 23:05Speaker 4: How was it?
- 23:05Speaker 5: I was all right? All right, Yeah, you've got low standards, brother.
- 23:10Speaker 3: Better things to do with my day than fatass around
- 23:13Speaker 3: with people drinking?
- 23:14Speaker 6: And why did we do this whole thing?
- 23:16Speaker 4: Then? Well that's principal, Yeah, Kezy.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Principal the whole Ache Big Show with Jason, Mike and
- 23:23Speaker 2: Kezy tune in week days and four on Radio hod Ikey.
- 23:26Speaker 3: It's funny, isn't it Mike, have been parents, the challenges
- 23:29Speaker 3: that our kids faced.
- 23:30Speaker 5: You know other massive pain in the air.
- 23:33Speaker 4: Oh yeah, massive pain in the aus. What was I thinking?
- 23:36Speaker 4: You know?
- 23:37Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 23:41Speaker 3: But anyway, I had my I gone home from work
- 23:44Speaker 3: last night actually, and my daughter was really upset, my youngest.
- 23:50Speaker 5: She did she miss her daddy.
- 23:52Speaker 4: No, she very really misses me. It's actually she very
- 23:56Speaker 4: really does.
- 23:57Speaker 3: I mean, if I'm away for a couple of days,
- 23:58Speaker 3: she might occasionally go, we's dad, But otherwise, name she
- 24:02Speaker 3: doesn't tend to miss me too much. But anyway, she'd
- 24:04Speaker 3: written this English essay and.
- 24:08Speaker 4: And she'd been failed.
- 24:10Speaker 3: She got a zero for her English essay.
- 24:14Speaker 4: And I remember her.
- 24:15Speaker 3: I remember her writing and stuff and reading little bits
- 24:19Speaker 3: of it and going, oh Jesus, that's quite that's quite good.
- 24:22Speaker 4: And I said, oh, that's that's really weird.
- 24:25Speaker 3: I mean, I wonder why the English teacher would I mean, zero,
- 24:28Speaker 3: you know, that's pretty pretty harsh. And so anyway, I
- 24:32Speaker 3: ended up bringing her English teacher today and said, you know,
- 24:34Speaker 3: what's the story. You know, she's written this essay I've written,
- 24:38Speaker 3: I've now read it. I think it's an extraordinary essay.
- 24:41Speaker 3: And he said, oh, lot, you know, I was reading
- 24:44Speaker 3: this essay and it was so meticulous, and there was
- 24:47Speaker 3: such profound wisdom in it, and it was so.
- 24:53Speaker 4: Beautiful, you know.
- 24:54Speaker 3: And he said to me, I'll be honest with you,
- 24:55Speaker 3: mister Hoyt, it's the most extraordinary bit of writing I've
- 24:58Speaker 3: ever read in my life. Yeah, And I thought to myself,
- 25:02Speaker 3: there's no way this fourteen year old kid could have
- 25:04Speaker 3: written something as profound and as magnificent as this, So
- 25:08Speaker 3: it must be a clear case of plagiarism, right, you know,
- 25:12Speaker 3: because there's no way that she could have done that.
- 25:14Speaker 3: But anyway, we had a discussion and found out that
- 25:18Speaker 3: actually she genuinely did write it, and he had no
- 25:20Speaker 3: proof that it was plagiarism because he didn't find it
- 25:22Speaker 3: and he looked for it everywhere and stuff. And then
- 25:27Speaker 3: he said to me, well, I feel ready bad, and
- 25:30Speaker 3: she's got a real gift. And I've actually got a
- 25:33Speaker 3: mate that's in publishing. Can I maybe put it to
- 25:35Speaker 3: your mate, to my mate and see if he's interested
- 25:39Speaker 3: in publishing because this is an extraordinary piece of work.
- 25:41Speaker 3: I mean, seriously, I've been teaching twenty years. I haven't
- 25:45Speaker 3: seen anything within two of this kind of writing, especially
- 25:47Speaker 3: for a girl that age. Yeah, I mean, right now,
- 25:51Speaker 3: we've created a bit of a headache for ourselves because
- 25:53Speaker 3: it's it's massively got it. It's got massively out and
- 25:57Speaker 3: about in the publishing world, right and we've got twelve publishers.
- 26:01Speaker 4: Fine to want a publisher unbelievable.
- 26:05Speaker 3: Oh my god, I don't need this ship right now,
- 26:08Speaker 3: you know what I mean.
- 26:10Speaker 5: So you're saying that the teacher said it's the bitest
- 26:12Speaker 5: piece of writing he's ever read. Yes, because I've met
- 26:16Speaker 5: actually met him and he's only like twenty two or
- 26:18Speaker 5: twenty three, so it didn't strike me as something that's
- 26:20Speaker 5: very well, very well read. Yeah, at a primary school,
- 26:27Speaker 5: So I mean, I mean, I just remembering about my daughter.
- 26:32Speaker 5: He remembered about my.
- 26:33Speaker 4: Got his English degree in Oxford. He was on a
- 26:36Speaker 4: scholarship over it.
- 26:38Speaker 3: On a scholarship was a bit of a he was
- 26:41Speaker 3: a Rhodes scholarship.
- 26:42Speaker 4: So not only what did he have a scholarship there
- 26:44Speaker 4: at Oxford? He also do he knows so much about
- 26:46Speaker 4: he was.
- 26:49Speaker 3: Young, all black, so it was I don't know, if
- 26:52Speaker 3: you know. The Rhodes scholarship look at that, Yeah, very prestigious.
- 26:55Speaker 4: But yeah, I mean, yeah, I mean, sure, he's twenty two. Sure, yeah,
- 27:00Speaker 4: but what were you saying about your daughter?
- 27:02Speaker 5: Look, I don't know to brag. I don't think it's
- 27:04Speaker 5: not it's not my thing to sort of compare.
- 27:07Speaker 6: We don't want to start one up.
- 27:09Speaker 5: Airples, needless to say, you know the at.
- 27:12Speaker 10: The the the the old conference there for teachers, which
- 27:19Speaker 10: is early childhood, primary and secondary and universities. Yeah, my
- 27:25Speaker 10: daughter has gotten the nickname young Shakespeare.
- 27:29Speaker 8: But we won't get right, we won't get mate. You
- 27:31Speaker 8: don't get into that. Hey, let me just say kudos
- 27:36Speaker 8: to your daughter, and self publishing is worthy as well.
- 27:40Speaker 5: Self publishing.
- 27:42Speaker 4: I just had I just had a thought.
- 27:44Speaker 3: With your your daughter being the third best calligrapher in
- 27:48Speaker 3: the world, why don't we get your daughter to calliguify
- 27:52Speaker 3: her story.
- 27:53Speaker 5: Oh that's a good idea, your your daughter.
- 27:55Speaker 4: Yeah, my daughter's story. Yeah, but choose us to publish
- 27:59Speaker 4: it in the end.
- 28:00Speaker 3: We can get her, your daughter to write out, write
- 28:03Speaker 3: it out in calligraphy.
- 28:05Speaker 5: For me, I mean normally I would say yes, but
- 28:07Speaker 5: my daughter, she prefers to write, you know, sort of
- 28:11Speaker 5: writing that uses words that's got sort of more than
- 28:14Speaker 5: three letters in each word, you know.
- 28:17Speaker 6: So before you really quickly, what was your daughter's amazing
- 28:20Speaker 6: piece on this life changing piece that she wrote?
- 28:24Speaker 5: What was it actually on? Ah?
- 28:26Speaker 3: Something about the the anatomy of being? I think she
- 28:32Speaker 3: called it right, Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Big show podcast.
- 28:39Speaker 4: I've talked a lot about the birds lately.
- 28:43Speaker 3: You guys, you guys have been giving me a fear
- 28:45Speaker 3: about a fair amount of gyp about that. But I'm
- 28:48Speaker 3: telling you, I'm telling you something is going on. I
- 28:51Speaker 3: was in my laundry today, right, and it was a beautiful,
- 28:55Speaker 3: beautiful day outside my laundry.
- 28:59Speaker 5: Well, yeah, nah, is the story.
- 29:01Speaker 3: Freaky gets real, Freaky gets real, freaking. So I'm sitting
- 29:08Speaker 3: there and and I'm not sitting in my laundry and
- 29:10Speaker 3: standing on my laundry.
- 29:11Speaker 5: What are you doing in there?
- 29:12Speaker 4: Getting my washing out of the out of the washing machine?
- 29:18Speaker 6: And I sorry, is it front load or top load?
- 29:20Speaker 4: Front load?
- 29:22Speaker 3: It's a pretty old machine there, chish, And so I'm
- 29:25Speaker 3: putting it all in the washing basket then, and I
- 29:27Speaker 3: think do I put it in the dryer? And I
- 29:29Speaker 3: opened up the dar and I think, now it's a
- 29:32Speaker 3: beautiful dang when I hang it out, don't be a
- 29:34Speaker 3: lazy ass. So I go outside and I'm hanging up
- 29:39Speaker 3: the washing on my washing line there make you know,
- 29:43Speaker 3: click m hm, click click, hanging the washing out.
- 29:49Speaker 4: And as I'm hanging the washing out, I notice.
- 29:51Speaker 5: You got arthritis.
- 29:53Speaker 4: That was my washing, that was pie click click.
- 29:57Speaker 3: It's rotating and it's a rotating spin, especially on a lean.
- 30:01Speaker 3: At the moment, I've been able to correct that. So
- 30:03Speaker 3: I'm standing there and as I'm hanging out the washing,
- 30:06Speaker 3: I go.
- 30:08Speaker 4: Hang about.
- 30:10Speaker 3: There's birds all along the fence line just staring at me.
- 30:13Speaker 3: And I noticed I've got a couple of trees down
- 30:15Speaker 3: the back property. There there's birds and the trees and
- 30:18Speaker 3: I can see their little lies blinking, you know, the blank.
- 30:22Speaker 3: So I hang out the washing and I'm like, oh,
- 30:23Speaker 3: this is this is freaking man. And I really wanted
- 30:27Speaker 3: a drry at that point, and I went, no, I'm
- 30:28Speaker 3: not having a darry.
- 30:29Speaker 4: I'm not going to crack.
- 30:30Speaker 3: And I thought, yet, no, go how many how many
- 30:33Speaker 3: birds were We're talking fifty I don't even know how
- 30:37Speaker 3: many are in the trees right?
- 30:39Speaker 5: And what kind of birds?
- 30:40Speaker 3: Miners, sparrows, your pigeon, sure you dove and maybe even
- 30:48Speaker 3: a magpie, any flamingos No flamingos. So I said, no,
- 30:52Speaker 3: I tell you what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna mow
- 30:53Speaker 3: the lawns. I need to distraight myself. I need a
- 30:55Speaker 3: darry And these birds are freaking me out. They're just
- 30:57Speaker 3: sitting there looking at me. Get my lawnmar start law mowing,
- 31:07Speaker 3: put my skull candies on doing the lawn.
- 31:15Speaker 4: The birds are just.
- 31:16Speaker 3: Sitting there and on the on the on the fence
- 31:18Speaker 3: there and in the trees, all on the fence line,
- 31:20Speaker 3: and it's freaking me out.
