- 0:44Grab a plate, tune in now,
- 0:46you part of the fam.
- 0:51It's lunch time.
- 0:55What's going on?
- 0:57I was like, operatic?
- 0:59I went Luciano Pavarotti.
- 1:01Yes, sir.
- 1:01Yes, sir, you did.
- 1:04Last week was Steve Perry.
- 1:05This week I'm going Luciano Pavarotti.
- 1:08Which is infinitely different,
- 1:10first of all,
- 1:11and probably more challenging than Steve
- 1:13Perry.
- 1:13And who, in fact, was a Clydesdale?
- 1:17Yes.
- 1:17He was a big dude.
- 1:19He was a big dude.
- 1:20He was a big dude.
- 1:22Yeah.
- 1:24How was your weekend, man?
- 1:26Good, actually.
- 1:28Saturday,
- 1:29went and trained with my boy Gareth,
- 1:32fellow Masters athlete.
- 1:33He and I compete in the same places
- 1:35a whole lot.
- 1:36He's one of my best friends.
- 1:37Got a good two and a half,
- 1:40three hour session in.
- 1:41Did a whole lot of work and then
- 1:42went on back to the house.
- 1:46Went to church yesterday and didn't do
- 1:47much else beyond that.
- 1:51Good stuff.
- 1:52We had rain all day on Saturday, so
- 1:56Julie and I just watched old movies.
- 1:59Oh, yes.
- 2:02I talked about it a little bit last
- 2:03night, but we started with The Rock.
- 2:06Dude, yes, it's on HBO.
- 2:09We watched it the other day.
- 2:11Still holds up.
- 2:12Oh, yeah, absolutely.
- 2:14It's Sean Connery, dude.
- 2:18But like Nicolas Cage,
- 2:20either I love him or I hate his
- 2:23movie.
- 2:23He's fantastic in that.
- 2:26what what this is the part and i
- 2:28and i mentioned it at the end of
- 2:30last night show the way nicholas cage
- 2:34talks is everything is herky jerky right
- 2:40he's holding green balls of a toxin that
- 2:44melt your skin off it is not the
- 2:49time to be herky jerky
- 2:53yeah when he yells at sean connery don't
- 2:57move like okay i just my skin is
- 3:00melting because i've just dropped all the
- 3:02green balls yeah all of them i just
- 3:04did the whole thing is it's everywhere at
- 3:06this point they're running all over the
- 3:09place one of them is about to break
- 3:10and we are both about to die yeah
- 3:12yeah are you insane maybe
- 3:24oh can you tell me where the last
- 3:27rocket is yeah go find some freaking
- 3:30rockets it is uh it it just cracks
- 3:37me up because you're in this delicate
- 3:39situation where you cannot be startled and
- 3:43the way nicholas cage talks startles you
- 3:46at every turn i never thought about that
- 3:49but you are one hundred percent correct
- 3:53No, we watched actually a bunch more.
- 3:58I say a bunch more.
- 4:00At least one more murder,
- 4:03random murder documentary on Netflix
- 4:05because they're everywhere.
- 4:07Can't do those, man.
- 4:08Just can't.
- 4:09The one last night, dude, it was...
- 4:12it it ended still kind of ambiguously
- 4:15because the people it was a uh daughter
- 4:20and husband and not doesman excuse me
- 4:22daughter and father they ended up killing
- 4:26this dude that she was married to her
- 4:28husband uh and they both got something
- 4:33called voluntary manslaughter which sounds
- 4:36a lot like murder to me but they
- 4:40only got like a couple of years
- 4:42And then,
- 4:44cause like they were interviewing both of
- 4:45them and they were clearly not in prison
- 4:47while they were being interviewed.
- 4:50And that,
- 4:50like that part of it blew my mind.
- 4:52And then they were just like, yep, man,
- 4:53this is the end of it.
- 4:54I was like, okay.
- 4:55So there was no,
- 4:57like usually those things I have like a
- 4:59big reveal, right?
- 5:00Where they, nothing.
- 5:03They just kind of,
- 5:03it was weird because they kind of let
- 5:05you figure it out.
- 5:06Like, or make you up, I guess,
- 5:08make up your own mind about it.
- 5:09Cause at the beginning you're like,
- 5:12uh this woman's absolutely uh bad shit
- 5:16crazy something's wrong with her blah blah
- 5:18and then by ten minutes and you're like
- 5:19oh wait no her husband is absolutely bad
- 5:22shit crazy and then like it kind of
- 5:24switches back and forth as it goes i
- 5:27don't know the whole thing was crazy
- 5:28I think I've heard that synopsis about ten
- 5:30other times on.
- 5:32Yeah.
- 5:33A lot of the ones we watch, though,
- 5:35like there's usually like a big thing
- 5:37where you like you all of a sudden
- 5:39it's like, oh, yeah, no,
- 5:40I'm my wife watches them compulsively.
- 5:44Yeah.
- 5:44So I just I'm so I'm just over
- 5:46it.
- 5:46That's all.
- 5:47There's only so many I can do.
- 5:49I can't do like if there's kids involved,
- 5:53I'm probably not watching it at this
- 5:54point.
- 5:54Like, I don't want to see that.
- 5:56it makes me too concerned for my own
- 5:59i can't i can't do it um and
- 6:03there's a lot of them that's like that
- 6:06oh we'll also watch the uh the shipwrecked
- 6:09one have you seen that one no dude
- 6:12that one's pretty good
- 6:14uh cruise ship uh ran uh hit a
- 6:17rock on the italian coast i believe it
- 6:21was and like started sinking and the
- 6:23captain like didn't immediately report it
- 6:27and didn't immediately send everybody to
- 6:29get off the boat and whatnot it's like
- 6:30they tell from a couple different uh
- 6:32people's perspectives it's pretty freaking
- 6:34good well it's a monday and meg is
- 6:37already uh being mean to people you have
- 6:40friends corey she's a liberal white woman
- 6:43it's fine
- 6:45um there's a lot of like suggestions here
- 6:52about things to watch um i watched uncle
- 6:54buck and elsa i haven't seen that so
- 6:58long dude john it is amazing another movie
- 7:01that still holds up like i was laughing
- 7:04the scene where the drunk clown shows up
- 7:06to the kids birthday party
- 7:09yep and john candy that says can't come
- 7:13in sorry buddy get in your mouse car
- 7:17and get out of dodge right yeah and
- 7:19the guy then insults john candy and he
- 7:23punches him in his rubber nose and it
- 7:25goes when he punches him i almost fell
- 7:29off the couch yeah and i um
- 7:34I, it is just,
- 7:36there's so many of those little tidbits in
- 7:38that movie that are,
- 7:40and it's so heartwarming too.
- 7:41Like in, in all seriousness,
- 7:43you watch the murder shit.
- 7:45I'm going to watch uncle Buck and laugh.
- 7:48Well, see, you,
- 7:50you're acting like I had a choice.
- 7:51So if it's up to me,
- 7:54I don't want to watch most of those.
- 7:56I did pick the one last night,
- 7:58but it's only because I can't watch what
- 7:59I actually want to watch.
- 8:03right because i want to watch the rock
- 8:05for the thirty-seventh time or tombstone
- 8:08for the fifty-third time or whatever and i
- 8:13get outvoted at my house i can only
- 8:15watch the stuff like i would watch all
- 8:17four john wick movies back to back in
- 8:20a day
- 8:22if it was available for me to do.
- 8:26And the fact that I get outvoted,
- 8:28like I don't get to watch that kind
- 8:31of stuff, so.
- 8:32Unless I'm by myself.
- 8:34The other classic movie we did watch was
- 8:36Working Girl.
- 8:38Oh, Meg Ryan.
- 8:40Think about the stars in that movie.
- 8:42The main stars are Melanie Griffith,
- 8:44Harrison Ford, Sigourney Weaver.
- 8:48I did the same thing on Saturday, dude.
- 8:49Don't feel bad.
- 8:52I always get them confused.
- 8:53Bit characters in that movie.
- 8:55Joan Cusack, Kevin Spacey, Oliver Platt.
- 9:00Really?
- 9:01And a young, young Alec Baldwin.
- 9:05When he was still skinny.
- 9:06Yeah.
- 9:07like when he was like, yeah,
- 9:11I just remember him from like, um, oh,
- 9:15not crimson tide.
- 9:16The other went for October and like,
- 9:21he was a good looking dude and he
- 9:23was like, he looked fit and like fit,
- 9:26like he looked dangerous basically.
- 9:28And now he just looks dangerous.
- 9:29If you go into a buffet, uh,
- 9:33working girl is one of my favorite comfort
- 9:35shows.
- 9:36It's, it was a really, it's still,
- 9:38it's a good movie,
- 9:39but it is so wild.
- 9:40Like where women stood in the workplace in
- 9:43the mid-nineteen eighties compared to
- 9:45today.
- 9:47Like,
- 9:48and I didn't know you could put seventeen
- 9:51shades of eyeshadow.
- 9:52Oh yeah.
- 9:54That's one of my favorite things about old
- 9:55eighties movies.
- 9:56Like go watch, uh,
- 9:59shit pick one uh billy hills cop and
- 10:02just like watch the scene where he's just
- 10:04like walking around um on what's it called
- 10:08rodeo and like watch the women and women
- 10:11walking around and the shit that they're
- 10:12wearing you're like oh yep this came out
- 10:15in the sure enough i have to address
- 10:19this um
- 10:21you just did all the rocky movies please
- 10:23tell me it wasn't the first time oh
- 10:25god no ramirez is my age no way
- 10:27come on no i did see they're coming
- 10:32out with a new mickey goldman movie mickey
- 10:35goldman so mickey was rocky's trainer no
- 10:41way they are that's not necessary and it's
- 10:45being played by jeremy allen white the guy
- 10:48from the bear from the bear
- 10:50he's going to be mickey yep like it's
- 10:55a prequel yeah it is mickey um his
- 11:02fighting career mickey let's let's let's
- 11:05go ahead and get this out here while
- 11:07we're talking about it um clydesdale top
- 11:09tip top tip of the week um this
- 11:11one goes out to the the hollywood people
- 11:14that i know are paying attention right now
- 11:17not everything needs a prequel
- 11:21Well, they ran out of sequels.
- 11:24We've done six Rockies.
- 11:26We've done three Creed's.
- 11:27And now we have to go back and
- 11:29do,
- 11:30like it's getting as bad as Friday the
- 11:32thirteenth, Halloween,
- 11:34and Nightmare on Elm Street.
- 11:36Or Fast and the Furious.
- 11:37Yes, yes, yes.
- 11:39Fast and the Furious may be the worst
- 11:40of them all.
- 11:42You know what though?
- 11:44Mindless entertainment.
- 11:46Because say what you want about them,
- 11:50They jumped the shark a long time ago
- 11:53before they ever shot a Fiero into space.
- 11:55They had jumped the shark.
- 11:58Well,
- 11:59one place a Fiero needs to be shot
- 12:01to is space because it was a wasted
- 12:05car.
- 12:06yes however they're in like it's popcorn
- 12:10movies you can just sit on them and
- 12:11go like oh wow checked it like it's
- 12:14they're cool to watch they're fun to watch
- 12:16you're not you're not gonna get have some
- 12:18moving experience it's not you know gonna
- 12:21be talked about for like oscar stuff like
- 12:23some of the you know some of the
- 12:24stuff that that that goes on that i
- 12:26give a about the oscars but
- 12:28it's not Project Hail Mary which I can
- 12:30watch again and again I watched we watched
- 12:32about half of that again uh Saturday
- 12:35because it's just a really good movie it's
- 12:38fun it's well put together it's front to
- 12:41back it's fantastic but so here's the
- 12:44unpopular thing I'm gonna say I stopped
- 12:48watching Fast and the Furious after Tokyo
- 12:50Drift I thought that movie was God awful
- 12:54so so fun fact amongst the the fandom
- 12:58that's the best movie you know why though
- 13:03you know why though it's about car racing
- 13:07and that's it there's no you know
- 13:12undercover police that know they didn't
- 13:14become super secret agents at any point.
- 13:17Vin Diesel isn't like ejecting himself
- 13:20from one car across a bridge,
- 13:23catching his girlfriend in midair,
- 13:24landing on another car and somehow
- 13:26everybody's okay.
- 13:27Like there's none of that going on.
- 13:28It's just about car racing,
- 13:31which is why they're like,
- 13:32if you look at it from that one,
- 13:33that perspective,
- 13:34it's a fantastic movie because that's all
- 13:36it's about.
- 13:37apparently i am a bigger fan of uh
- 13:41unbelievable action than i am of true
- 13:44street car racing absolutely so which is
- 13:49fine i can handle the john wick movies
- 13:55i can handle yeah thing you know i
- 13:58just cannot handle i don't i don't know
- 14:03it just it was so different than the
- 14:05first one it didn't belong in the series
- 14:08Yeah,
- 14:08they had to go back and like tie
- 14:10it in,
- 14:11figure out a way to tie it in.
- 14:12And it was just so they could get
- 14:13Han because Han was such a strong
- 14:16character.
- 14:17Like they need to bring him over because
- 14:18the dude that it was about,
- 14:21they didn't bring him back until like
- 14:24eight.
- 14:25It was the Fiero.
- 14:26They were the ones that shot the Fiero
- 14:28into space.
- 14:31Okay.
- 14:32I know too much about him.
- 14:35Speaking of things that are terrible,
- 14:37something that isn't terrible is improved
- 14:40recovery and sleep.

- 15:08What do I want to say?
- 15:10Let's so let's dive a little bit into
- 15:14into some CrossFit stuff.
- 15:16I'm here for it.
- 15:16Let's do it.
- 15:19So this was not on my bingo card,
- 15:21but I got a comment right before we
- 15:23went live.
- 15:24Okay.
- 15:26And I posted a thing where Jamie's talking
- 15:28about how masters don't get to do auto
- 15:31objects at the games anymore.
- 15:33There's no shared programming.
- 15:36All of that, okay?
- 15:38So this guy commented.
- 15:41The stats are... Andrew Sten,
- 15:44plug your ears now.
- 15:45I'm just warning you.
- 15:50He said,
- 15:50I'm curious how much longer CrossFit Games
- 15:55team plans to allow Legends team to
- 15:57continue programming the Master Division
- 15:59workouts.
- 16:01And the reason he says this,
- 16:03I'm skipping over a lot of his commentary.
- 16:04Sure.
- 16:07He took all of the scores from Legends
- 16:10this year and looked at how many times
- 16:15athletes were capped.
- 16:20Oh.
- 16:22So in the men's,
- 16:23thirty-five to thirty-nine,
- 16:25a hundred and fifty total score entries,
- 16:27sixty-one point three percent capped.
- 16:30Oof.
- 16:32Women's, thirty-five to thirty-nine,
- 16:33a hundred and eighty total score entries,
- 16:36fifty-six point one were time caps.
- 16:40Men's, forty to forty-four,
- 16:41a hundred and sixty-seven total scored
- 16:43entries, sixty point four were time caps.
- 16:48Women's, forty to forty-four,
- 16:50a hundred and eighty score entries,
- 16:52fifty-two point two percent were time
- 16:54caps.
- 16:57When more than half of all scores across
- 16:59an entire competition or time caps,
- 17:02it raises serious questions about whether
- 17:04the programmers know what the hell they
- 17:06are doing.
- 17:07COVID is past and the new pandemic
- 17:09affecting CrossFit space is over
- 17:12programming.
- 17:17These are the words from Nicholas Sofer.
- 17:19Yeah.
- 17:22it's a comment on the reel i put
- 17:24out this morning from jerry from it's
- 17:27actually from last night's show yeah and
- 17:30it's jamie just talking about they don't
- 17:31get to touch odd objects anymore it's
- 17:34funny that she mentions that i mentioned
- 17:36that last night because as i got to
- 17:38the gym this morning and was going to
- 17:40grab my barbell and uh getting ready or
- 17:42not and um
- 17:45We have a couple of yokes and, uh,
- 17:48Bernard keeps his weights like on the
- 17:50yoke, you know, where, where they stack.
- 17:53And I was going to pull stuff off
- 17:54there.
- 17:54And I had that thought this morning that,
- 17:57man,
- 17:57I haven't done a yoke carry in a
- 17:58while.
- 17:58And I was like,
- 17:59how cool would that be to do,
- 18:01you know,
- 18:02have something with a yoke carry for us
- 18:06at a comp,
- 18:07because I've never actually done one in
- 18:10live competition before.
- 18:11I've done a whole bunch of them at
- 18:12the gym.
- 18:14where it'd be carries Brandon's program,
- 18:16static yoke holds before,
- 18:18which probably wouldn't be real good for a
- 18:19comp, but still just odd object stuff.
- 18:22The most,
- 18:22the most odd object we we've gotten out
- 18:26of anything that I've done here in the
- 18:27last couple of years has been a sandbag.
- 18:28And that's it.
- 18:33That argument.
- 18:34I totally am all on.
- 18:36I want to know your,
- 18:38your thoughts on over half the, the,
- 18:42Half the score is being capped.
- 18:45Every time they put something out,
- 18:47since we're talking about those people in
- 18:49particular,
- 18:51a lot of the conversation that I have
- 18:54with friends of mine who compete is on
- 18:57that.
- 18:57How many people are going to get capped?
- 19:01want to be fair andrew stent says would
- 19:03be interesting to see the same analysis
- 19:04for elite individuals i agree absolutely
- 19:09someone do that for mayhem or for
- 19:11syndicate or for french throwdown or any
- 19:14of those yeah
- 19:17I would love, I would love,
- 19:18I would love to,
- 19:19I would love to see that as far
- 19:20as the individuals are, you know,
- 19:21the elites, excuse me, are, are concerned,
- 19:23but a lot of the conversation I have
- 19:27with people, um,
- 19:29elite people that are other elite people
- 19:30that I know, or, oh, okay.
- 19:33Ooh, that's a tight cap.
- 19:36Oh, that's a tight cap.
- 19:38Oh.
- 19:38And that's not just for the stuff that
- 19:40you do for the games.
- 19:40That's stuff that they do for their actual
- 19:42legends programming too.
- 19:43Or like the,
- 19:44the red legends comp that I've made.
- 19:49I understand the process of, you know,
- 19:52program for the best, scale for the rest,
- 19:56you know,
- 19:56how that kind of carries over into
- 19:57competition, like, you know,
- 19:58the best people are going to finish it,
- 20:00blah, blah, whatever.
- 20:01But it's also been proven they don't test
- 20:03a lot of their stuff,
- 20:04or at least not appropriately, right?
- 20:07Right.
- 20:09That's a problem.
- 20:10And I think that's where that comes in
- 20:12at is that they're not reaching out to
- 20:13people who are on that cusp,
- 20:16not necessarily going to make the game
- 20:18that you haven't made the games yet.
- 20:19Hey,
- 20:19can you try this kind of stuff out
- 20:21for me?
- 20:21Because we're out here.
- 20:23There's a lot of people that I know
- 20:24that would be happy to, you know,
- 20:27give this,
- 20:28give this stuff a run or whatnot,
- 20:30so that you can make those kinds of
- 20:31adjustments.
- 20:33to where you can say, oh, yeah, cool,
- 20:36this might be a little bit much as
- 20:38far as just putting some numbers on down
- 20:40and then throwing something, you know,
- 20:43basically throwing it at the wall and see
- 20:44what sticks after that because that's a
- 20:46lot of what it feels like.
- 20:48have a few times points that i want
- 20:50to give sure they're there to say sure
- 20:53uh shanna says i wonder and i know
- 20:55she is not a fan of the programming
- 20:56so for her to give the counterpoint is
- 20:58taking a lot i wonder if that was
- 21:01because less people interested in signing
- 21:03up so i had to go deeper on
- 21:05the leaderboard more athletes competing
- 21:07with less less fitness i think that is
- 21:10a very valid argument yeah somewhat i
- 21:12could see that
- 21:14Lito,
- 21:14I don't mind a lot of the field
- 21:16being capped.
- 21:17I do mind if they didn't know that
- 21:20people would get capped because they
- 21:22didn't test the event.
- 21:23And they've said they don't have women
- 21:25testers.
- 21:27Well, what's funny is, Lito,
- 21:29is the men capped more than the women.
- 21:31Yeah, we're like sixty-five percent.
- 21:33Back to Shanna's comment,
- 21:35maybe more women were interested in
- 21:37signing up and you had a higher level
- 21:39of fitness.
- 21:41We don't know.
- 21:43I worked in statistics for a good number
- 21:45of years.
- 21:46You can make numbers say whatever you want
- 21:48them to say.
- 21:49And so there are definitely some.
- 21:55Andrew Sten,
- 21:56I'd like to hear programmers discuss the
- 21:57use of time caps,
- 21:58whether they like them or not,
- 22:00or how they determine the time cap.
- 22:02I know Dave has said there are times
- 22:05he wants most of the field to be
- 22:07capped.
- 22:08That's what I was about to say.
- 22:09So like going back to Lito's point,
- 22:13don't have a necessary problem with people
- 22:14getting capped.
- 22:15It's when
- 22:18it doesn't seem to happen.
- 22:19Like it,
- 22:20like it doesn't seem to make sense that
- 22:21everybody's getting capped.
- 22:22Like, why did you, you know,
- 22:24why are you writing a workout where,
- 22:26and I get it,
- 22:27Dave does do that sometimes,
- 22:28but he's like,
- 22:28I want to see exactly what people can
- 22:30do.
- 22:30People are going to get capped at this,
- 22:32you know?
- 22:32And I think he does that kind of
- 22:34stuff with the future in mind and going,
- 22:36we're going to retest this.
- 22:37Like I'm going to throw this at,
- 22:38at these people.
- 22:40They're probably going to get capped.
- 22:41and they're probably you know this is
- 22:42probably going to happen but then a year
- 22:44from now or two years from now whatever
- 22:46the case may be we're going to do
- 22:47it again because now they know that that's
- 22:49a possibility that's one thing right this
- 22:54is not that and i think i think
- 22:57most of most of the especially master's
- 22:59community would agree that this is not
- 23:02that it's really not um
- 23:07Kat, good to see you.
- 23:08I can't wait to see you in a
- 23:10week.
- 23:11Uh,
- 23:11the variety was so good and so fun.
- 23:18Yeah,
- 23:18that's when there was still a connection
- 23:20between Masters and Elite games.
- 23:24We had the festival feel.
- 23:25We were in Madison.
- 23:27The same equipment was there for the
- 23:29Elites.
- 23:30They let the Masters play on the same
- 23:32stuff that was there,
- 23:34and there was a coordination.
- 23:36It may not have been the exact same
- 23:38event,
- 23:39but at least it was something similar
- 23:42enough where you felt like it was still
- 23:44connected.
- 23:51And that's, I don't, I don't like,
- 23:55granted it is what it is.
- 23:56It is nothing I can do about it
- 23:58one way or another, but I don't,
- 24:00I would much rather, I'm going to say,
- 24:02I don't like that.
- 24:03I would much, much rather.
- 24:07have some sort of connection to what
- 24:08everybody else is doing even though we're
- 24:12separated right and yes technically we're
- 24:15still you know not me yet but just
- 24:19technically master athletes are still
- 24:20games athletes but you're doing a
- 24:23completely different test like not not the
- 24:26same number of workouts not the same
- 24:28workouts by any stretch of imagination
- 24:30whatnot because it's handed off to
- 24:31somebody else completely and
- 24:35I don't want to say it means less
- 24:36because that's not true at all.
- 24:37You're still getting crowned the fittest
- 24:39on earth or whatever age group that you're
- 24:40in.
- 24:40But it's just different when it's
- 24:44different when it's different.
- 24:46It feels different because it's like we're
- 24:47not doing anything close to what those
- 24:49guys are doing.
- 24:51And we can,
- 24:52just a different variety of it.
- 24:54And I'm not a big fan of that.
- 24:57Yeah, what Lito's saying right there,
- 24:58at least one event would be fantastic for
- 25:03everybody to do.
- 25:04Yeah,
- 25:05I think if you're going to announce that
- 25:08you're all in San Jose for the same
- 25:10weekend,
- 25:12there should be a connection bigger than
- 25:14even one event.
- 25:15Yeah.
- 25:16Right?
- 25:17All that stuff is there in the same
- 25:19town.
- 25:22There just is no coordination.
- 25:24And I had a riff about this last
- 25:25night.
- 25:26It got clipped by Dents.
- 25:29And that's even got misinterpreted because
- 25:32of the clip.
- 25:34I wasn't saying that masters are more
- 25:36popular or deserve more attention.
- 25:39What I was saying is the masters fund
- 25:41everything.
- 25:44They fund it all.
- 25:46And it's not even close.
- 25:47CrossFit just is like, hands,
- 25:49we got your money.
- 25:50Now you go do your own thing over
- 25:52here with legends.
- 25:53Yeah.
- 25:56And the reason that CrossFit will never
- 25:58break that cord is because that's where
- 26:01they get all their money to fund this
- 26:04stuff.
- 26:06And yet CrossFit takes away the whole
- 26:08community aspect of the games and tries to
- 26:11make it now a professional arena sport.
- 26:17And with that,
- 26:18you lose that connection to everything
- 26:21else.
- 26:23that's not that's not an indictment on
- 26:25legends or the pit or wheel wad that's
- 26:29an indictment on if you want them to
- 26:31run your event and you want it to
- 26:33be a community event then crossfit you
- 26:35need to have more oversight over it agreed
- 26:42that's all so that it is it does
- 26:47make sense as a community
- 26:50and not we're just a community to to
- 26:52grab your cash and then now you go
- 26:55off and do your own thing right so
- 27:03that was my point last night in the
- 27:04riff and i'm saying it much calmer today
- 27:08um
- 27:10because I want that understood.
- 27:13I understand that all the eyes are on
- 27:16the elite individuals,
- 27:18and they're the ones that fill the arenas,
- 27:20and that doesn't happen at Masters events.
- 27:25And we're aware of that.
- 27:29But you don't have any qualms in taking
- 27:34all of their money.
- 27:36Nope.
- 27:37fifty percent of the games budget from the
- 27:44open registrations goes to uh fund the
- 27:48games and even the masters and and stuff
- 27:52and more than fifty percent of that money
- 27:56is from thirty five to forty nine
- 28:10uh no riley so the people of the
- 28:15masters age group want to watch the elite
- 28:17not their own age group just a thought
- 28:19no we watch all of it what i'm
- 28:25saying that if you're signing up for the
- 28:27open then you're competing if and i'm just
- 28:33pointing out that the open money is fifty
- 28:37percent thirty five to forty nine
- 28:40add in the quarterfinal money and the
- 28:42semifinal money that you charge these
- 28:44athletes,
- 28:45and then you add in the five hundred
- 28:47dollars apiece to go to the games for
- 28:48the Masters athletes in all the divisions
- 28:51with all the people.
- 28:53There's a lot of money being pumped into
- 28:56the CrossFit ecosystem from the Masters
- 29:00athletes.
- 29:07Real quick, I need to ask Lito something.
- 29:10The fact you're running with a slippery
- 29:11med ball with bananas like doing a class
- 29:13workout.
- 29:14I must have missed that workout, Lito.
- 29:16I need... It's three rounds for time,
- 29:19six hundred meter run,
- 29:20six hundred meter weighted run.
- 29:22And the weighted run's a med ball?
- 29:24Only for the women.
- 29:27Sandbag for the men,
- 29:29med ball for the women.
- 29:35It changes the run for men and women
- 29:37completely.
- 29:40Anybody who's ever run with a med ball
- 29:42knows how bad it sucks because you can't
- 29:44hold, there's no good way to hold it.
- 29:46And it's event one.
- 29:48So you're going to have a crook in
- 29:49your neck the rest of the weekend,
- 29:51or you're not going to be able to
- 29:52breathe because you're hugging it.
- 29:54Yeah.
- 29:54You're either doing this the entire time,
- 29:58which sucks.
- 29:59Six hundred meters.
- 30:00Good Lord.
- 30:02Or you're yeah.
- 30:03Or you're doing this.
- 30:05Hold it like a pregnant lady.
- 30:07And that's it.
- 30:08That's your two options.
- 30:09There's no I mean,
- 30:10I guess you could do like this with
- 30:11it if you really felt the need.
- 30:12But that's probably incredibly dangerous.
- 30:14That's.
- 30:17Yes, Corey,
- 30:18men are running with a thirty kilogram
- 30:19sandbag.
- 30:20We're running with a fourteen kilogram med
- 30:22ball, which is isn't remotely the same.
- 30:25I don't remember the pounds.
- 30:26It's thirty and fifty.
- 30:27It's thirty and fifty.
- 30:29So I do remember that now because Chris
- 30:33did send me send us that.
- 30:34We were trying to speculate,
- 30:36because at the time when he sent it
- 30:37to me, he didn't know what it was.
- 30:40So we were thinking maybe a ruck,
- 30:41which would have made way more sense.
- 30:44But he was talking about logistics-wise,
- 30:46getting in and out of it,
- 30:47because it's six hundred,
- 30:49and then six hundred,
- 30:50and then six hundred,
- 30:50and then six hundred.
- 30:52And I was like,
- 30:52a ruck would make sense,
- 30:53because you could just throw it on your
- 30:54back, take off, come back.
- 30:57A sandbag and a ball,
- 30:59which are not the same.
- 31:01Jesus Christ.
- 31:05um kate who if you haven't seen is
- 31:09going to be on our show on wednesday
- 31:11and uh no i haven't seen it yes
- 31:13yeah kate's coming on on wednesday uh
- 31:16carrying a thirty pound med ball for six
- 31:18hundred is brutal her shoulders and traps
- 31:20are jacked up from yesterday dude it's
- 31:24there's no good way to there's no there's
- 31:26no good way to carry it uh cat
- 31:29damage control workout for her and it's
- 31:31the first workout yep
- 31:34It's absolutely horrible,
- 31:35whichever way you hold it.
- 31:38It's like running with a plate.
- 31:41And our very own Joseph Ramirez.
- 31:43The best way to run with the med
- 31:44ball is to not run with the med
- 31:46ball.
- 31:46Yeah.
- 31:48It falls under that category.
- 31:49It's like somebody saying,
- 31:51I ran this race,
- 31:51and I ran this race,
- 31:52and I ran this race.
- 31:53Has anybody told you you didn't have to?
- 31:57What a stupid decision from Tristan,
- 31:59coach extraordinaire.
- 32:00A hundred percent.
- 32:03like running with a forty five pound plate
- 32:04if you've ever done that it's the same
- 32:06type deal there's no good way to carry
- 32:09it becomes a death march at some point
- 32:11because you're sitting there trying to i
- 32:15got my finger in a hole and i've
- 32:16got underneath my arm or i'm holding it
- 32:18like this behind there's no good way to
- 32:20do it and it just becomes a death
- 32:22march at least a sandbag you can just
- 32:23throw it on your shoulder and get jiggy
- 32:26with like a fifties nothing i say nothing
- 32:29it's
- 32:31Yeah,
- 32:32the ladies last night said they would
- 32:34rather go up to the fifty pound weight
- 32:36and carry the sandbag than to carry less
- 32:39weight with a med ball.
- 32:41I understand completely.
- 32:43I'm throwing it out there because we have
- 32:45a lot of female Masters athletes in the
- 32:49chat right at this moment.
- 32:50Yeah.
- 32:51How many of you would rather go up
- 32:53to the fifty and carry a sandbag rather
- 32:56than a thirty pound one?
- 32:58Yeah.
- 32:59Lito was all in for the fifty pound
- 33:00sandbag.
- 33:02Lito said yes to the rest of your
- 33:04sentence.
- 33:09Yes.
- 33:10Yep.
- 33:10I very know Kate is not an alias
- 33:11for Gabby.
- 33:12Kate is cooler than Gabby.
- 33:14Kate is way cooler than Gabby.
- 33:16Met Kate several times.
- 33:17She's awesome.
- 33:18I say several times.
- 33:18We hung out.
- 33:19Got to hang out a little bit in
- 33:20Birmingham.
- 33:21She's awesome.
- 33:22Shanna says I would love a fifty pound
- 33:24sandbag.
- 33:26We just fixed your event.
- 33:32Jamie said, if you want to scale it,
- 33:34go fifty pound sandbag with a four hundred
- 33:36run,
- 33:37four hundred meter run instead of six
- 33:38hundred.
- 33:39Yeah.
- 33:40Or you just get some thirty pound
- 33:42sandbags.
- 33:43Because those are a thing.
- 33:45We have some at the gym.
- 33:47At CrossFit Virtus,
- 33:48little CrossFit Virtus in Gonzales,
- 33:50Louisiana.
- 33:52We have thirty five pound sandbags.
- 33:55Yeah.
- 33:57You can throw it over your shoulder and
- 33:59you got to stay on this side,
- 34:00stay on that side.
- 34:01Get jiggy with it.
- 34:02The same with the .
- 34:02.
- 34:02.
- 34:03Avera,
- 34:05I'm starting to worry that you're a Gabby
- 34:07stalker.
- 34:12He's definitely way more concerned about
- 34:14Gabby than I feel like most people are
- 34:16at this point.
- 34:17I've already moved on.
- 34:18Yeah, okay.
- 34:19She pulled out.
- 34:20All right, cool.
- 34:21She's gone.
- 34:23Eileen is in.
- 34:24God bless her.
- 34:26Go, Eileen.
- 34:27Let's move on.
- 34:29Yeah.
- 34:31Oh, I didn't even think about that.
- 34:36Would be nice to finish with an unweighted
- 34:38run, too,
- 34:38so we'd get to sprint to the end.
- 34:40But, hey, that's too much to ask.
- 34:43No, you can trudge to the end.
- 34:48I want to see.
- 34:48This is going to sound so horrible.
- 34:53I would love to see Lito running with
- 34:55the ball, like,
- 34:57held above her head with her bright red
- 34:59hair just flowing in the wind and just
- 35:01getting down with it,
- 35:02trying to get across the line.
- 35:05Yeah.
- 35:06um clock it is it is spelled aileen
- 35:10words is replaced gabby magawa at the
- 35:13games but i guess it's pronounced eileen
- 35:18come on eileen yeah don't start yeah no
- 35:24i i that is one song i i
- 35:27hit the switch button whenever it comes on
- 35:31same
- 35:34The Slippery Ball Sprint to the end is
- 35:36going to be comical.
- 35:37Maybe that's what they should call the
- 35:38event.
- 35:39The Slippery Ball Sprint.
- 35:42The Slippery Ball Sprint.
- 35:43But that's only the women's version.
- 35:46Here's the thing, dude,
- 35:47and the more I think about it,
- 35:48because you can't talk about the Slippery
- 35:50Ball Sprint, is that once you get sweaty,
- 35:52it's hard to hold on to.
- 35:55So, like, third round,
- 35:56you got to finish with the ball,
- 35:58and now you're just trying to... Like,
- 36:00how many people are going to...
- 36:01You squeeze it in,
- 36:02it's like it's going to...
- 36:04pop out and out of balls flying off.
- 36:06Jesus.
- 36:10Cat says sprint.
- 36:11Yeah, it's a sprint.
- 36:14It's sprinted Jason cat.
- 36:21Oh,
- 36:21Vera wants to know from Lido is she
- 36:23going fluorescent red or fluorescent
- 36:25orange?
- 36:30Are you talking about her hair?
- 36:31Yeah, her hair is red, dude.
- 36:33Yeah.
- 36:42We'll call it the Lido Shuffle.
- 36:43The Lido Shuffle.
- 36:45The Lady Shuffle.
- 36:47That's a great song.
- 36:48That's way better than Come On Eileen.
- 36:51Yeah.
- 36:51The Lido Shuffle.
- 36:54Lido.
- 36:56The...
- 37:01she uh she is not wrong it is
- 37:04going to be an aggressive that last round
- 37:06is going to be an aggressive shuffle which
- 37:09is not going to be fun uh my
- 37:15garment thought my weighted laps were
- 37:17recovery based on how slow i was moving
- 37:20cool yeah again so your garment if you
- 37:24got it on right and it's just running
- 37:27Kate's running with her ball and it says,
- 37:29you're in zone two.
- 37:31Yes.
- 37:32It'll slow down.
- 37:34Like if you slow down for something,
- 37:35it'll tell you, oh, you've recovered.
- 37:37Like your heart rate's going down this
- 37:39much in the past however many minutes.
- 37:41And that's probably what happened to Kate.
- 37:45Garmin's telling you, oh,
- 37:47you're recovering.
- 37:47Good job.
- 37:48Good job.
- 37:49You're supposed to be recovering.
- 37:51No, no, no.
- 37:52I'm just going really slow.
- 37:59uh i tried it and it was horrible
- 38:00my garment now thinks i'm getting more
- 38:02unfit because of how hard this how hard
- 38:06the slow pace was yeah i mean look
- 38:12look at mark phillips thinking on the
- 38:13bright side at least the burning delts
- 38:17will keep you from thinking about your
- 38:19legs yeah
- 38:22your traps and everything's going to be so
- 38:23much on fire and stuck in this position
- 38:26that you're not even gonna be worried
- 38:27about what your legs feel like.
- 38:28Like who cares at that point?
- 38:32Wow.
- 38:37I have kind of a,
- 38:38a kind of a, a mini announcement,
- 38:42a mini announcement, a mini announcement,
- 38:45a soft launch per se, soft launch.
- 38:52We may be getting a producer.
- 38:55Get out of town.
- 38:56Yep.
- 38:58The Glintons made me jealous of Joseph.
- 39:01Fair.
- 39:03So I tried to upgrade and get a
- 39:05producer myself.
- 39:07Ooh.
- 39:08For all the shows.
- 39:11Okay.
- 39:12And it may be someone that's in our
- 39:14chat.
- 39:15Just saying.
- 39:16Is it also named Joseph?
- 39:19It is not.
- 39:20Okay.
- 39:21Joseph is wearing too many hats.
- 39:25I don't think I've ever seen Joseph wear
- 39:26any hat, but fair.
- 39:30Yeah.
- 39:31Um,
- 39:32it's someone who likes to fight with me
- 39:34five minutes before airtime.
- 39:37So I figured why not just put her
- 39:40on the show as a producer and then
- 39:42she can throw her jabs right here.
- 39:46Live stick and move, baby, stick and move.
- 39:50Only she's got two screens where she can
- 39:52pull stuff up while looking at the other
- 39:53stuff.
- 39:54She'll be fine.
- 39:56Yeah.
- 39:58So we're going to run through some stuff
- 40:01on Wednesday, see how it goes.
- 40:02And maybe after that,
- 40:06we'll have a producer that pull up our
- 40:08shit for us.
- 40:09Fantastic.
- 40:11They really would.
- 40:15produce produce producer v can we just
- 40:17call it producer v sure v for vendetta
- 40:22so my daughter was into high school
- 40:23musical back in the day right and i
- 40:25saw i saw the whole casting concert just
- 40:28don't be jealous um but vanessa hudgens
- 40:32was a star of high school musical and
- 40:35then she put out an album and the
- 40:36whole album starts
- 40:43So that's all I can think about when
- 40:44you said that.
- 40:50Oh, that's fantastic.
- 40:52Oh,
- 40:52being a girl dad is so much fun.
- 40:55It is.
- 40:59And Meg, you, you are,
- 41:01we're all in this together.
- 41:06I'm so glad I've never seen any, any,
- 41:07any of that.
- 41:11Please don't call me that on the show.
- 41:13Too late.
- 41:17Just like Trained Olive didn't ask for
- 41:19that.
- 41:19Yeah.
- 41:20Just like Corey didn't ask for the cowboy.
- 41:22I did not.
- 41:22Poor Winter is, I mean,
- 41:25Taint Olive from the day she died at
- 41:28this point.
- 41:31Oh, Jesus.
- 41:32I even know the dance.
- 41:34Of course you do, Meg.
- 41:37I probably did it one time as well,
- 41:39Meg, but I...
- 41:41i conveniently packed it away here's the
- 41:44thing i don't have to worry about that
- 41:46right now because it's gone right like
- 41:49high school musical has been a thing it's
- 41:50already done whatever my daughter's eight
- 41:52you know what i'm you know what you
- 41:53know what my like high functioning
- 41:57knowledge of is right now louie
- 42:01Like, we watch a lot of Bluey.
- 42:05We watched Bluey yesterday,
- 42:06as a matter of fact.
- 42:08And, like,
- 42:08I had to negotiate with the eight-year-old
- 42:10terrorist in braces sitting next to me on
- 42:12the couch because I was like, hey, bro,
- 42:14I'm not watching Bluey no more.
- 42:15She's like,
- 42:16can we just watch one more episode?
- 42:19And yes, fine.
- 42:21We can watch this other eight-minute
- 42:22episode,
- 42:23and that's enough of it that we've seen
- 42:26thirty-seven times.
- 42:28I don't even know who Bluey is.
- 42:30You should.
- 42:31It's really good.
- 42:32I hate to say that,
- 42:33but it's really good.
- 42:34You just complained about it.
- 42:37It's not a complaint.
- 42:40Let me be clear.
- 42:41Let me clarify.
- 42:43it's not a complaint it's just the fact
- 42:44that i know what it like you'll catch
- 42:47yourself watching it and the episodes are
- 42:49really well put together and like jameson
- 42:51could go do something else and i'll
- 42:52probably watch three more before it
- 42:54because they're eight minutes long so like
- 42:57it's boom boom boom boom and it's over
- 42:59with moves right along but yeah it's
- 43:04pretty good here's my my nightmare from
- 43:09when my daughter was little
- 43:12So Ashley Tisdale played the bitchy girl
- 43:18in High School Musical.
- 43:19Okay.
- 43:20That was my daughter's favorite.
- 43:22Gotcha.
- 43:24We saw High School Musical,
- 43:25the entire cast,
- 43:26minus Zac Efron in concert at a big
- 43:29arena.
- 43:31But Ashley Tisdale was coming to the local
- 43:33mall.
- 43:37We went and camped at the mall as
- 43:41soon as we could get in the doors
- 43:43and it ended up being like four hours
- 43:46for Ashley Tisdale to come out of
- 43:48JCPenney's JCPenney, baby.
- 43:52Perform three songs and leave.
- 43:59Four and a half hours for that.
- 44:02Sitting there for four hours waiting for
- 44:04her to appear.
- 44:05And when she did,
- 44:06the whole crowd like mushed us against the
- 44:10railing.
- 44:13And I'm like bitching the whole time.
- 44:14Like, I stood here for four hours.
- 44:16This is my spot.
- 44:18I'm throwing elbows.
- 44:24I'm a Clydesdale for a reason.
- 44:28There you go, Mark Phillips.
- 44:32Core memory created.
- 44:35my gosh uh yes to answer trained olives
- 44:41uh question bluey is a girl so is
- 44:45her sister bingo yeah let me tell you
- 44:50something scott if you for whatever reason
- 44:53you got like nieces nephews like anybody
- 44:54around that age would no there's nobody
- 44:56okay dude i'm old i get it um
- 45:01The dad.
- 45:02And I'm not ready for a grandkid yet
- 45:04either.
- 45:04Understandable.
- 45:05The dad, bingo, excuse me, dad, bandit,
- 45:09is every dad I know.
- 45:11Every good dad I know.
- 45:13Like,
- 45:14from playing with the kids to like at
- 45:16one point they make the best one of
- 45:19the best jokes on the planet on the
- 45:21entire show is the kids are watching
- 45:23something and bandit comes up now they're
- 45:25all cartoon dogs right they're cartoon dog
- 45:28family and bandit goes i'm not taking
- 45:30advice from some cartoon dog i'm not
- 45:33taking child uh child yeah i'm not taking
- 45:35child what is it like child rearing advice
- 45:37or whatever from some cartoon dog
- 45:40It's fantastic, dude.
- 45:42It's absolutely fantastic.
- 45:44There was a show when Corey was small
- 45:46that it called Good Luck Charlie.
- 45:48Okay.
- 45:48And the dad on there was Bob.
- 45:52And Bob was awesome.
- 45:54Yeah.
- 45:55He made watching that show worthwhile.
- 45:58I bet.
- 45:59For me.
- 46:01I could tolerate the show because of Bob.
- 46:03Because Bob was feeling what I was
- 46:05feeling.
- 46:06And we could commiserate together.
- 46:08Yeah.
- 46:10it's great dude like man i'm telling you
- 46:12bandit is my spirit animal most days
- 46:15because he just wants his kids to be
- 46:17happy plays with him does cool stuff um
- 46:21but doesn't like they don't take the show
- 46:23that seriously if that makes sense i don't
- 46:25know it's great uh terry you're giving me
- 46:27flashbacks to a wiggles concert yep done
- 46:30that too so good did bear in the
- 46:33big blue house i do i did like
- 46:35bearing the big blue house
- 46:38I like anything with puppets.
- 46:39I figured that out from the time I
- 46:40saw the first thing with the Muppet,
- 46:42like first time I ever saw the Muppets.
- 46:44The Muppet show was fantastic.
- 46:46I still will go back and watch the
- 46:48old, like late seventies, you know,
- 46:50early eighties episodes with stars.
- 46:52Nobody,
- 46:53nobody of the current generation has no
- 46:55idea who they are.
- 46:59And then like stuff like Fraggle Rock and
- 47:02Baron of Big Blue House and whatnot.
- 47:03Like I can watch that kind of stuff
- 47:05for whatever reason.
- 47:07Ken Walters stopped ruining it for him.
- 47:10He hasn't seen that Bluey episode yet.
- 47:13Ken, you will enjoy it, dude.
- 47:14Sit there with your grandkid because you
- 47:17can watch it as an adult and you're
- 47:18like, oh, yeah, it's pretty cool.
- 47:21Meredith says Bandit's a hoot.
- 47:22Apparently, like, everybody's into Bluey.
- 47:24Yeah, dude.
- 47:28Roly-Poly-Oly was my favorite to watch
- 47:30with my kids.
- 47:31I haven't saw that one either.
- 47:33I've heard the name and I haven't saw
- 47:34that one.
- 47:38Stark contrast to Peppa Pig's dad,
- 47:40who's a bumbling idiot.
- 47:42He is, Mark.
- 47:45That is a one hundred percent fact right
- 47:46there.
- 47:49A British idiot at that.
- 47:53know jameson watched peppa pig for like a
- 47:56short amount of time and then we moved
- 47:58on basically as soon as she found because
- 48:00she loves dogs to begin with so as
- 48:03soon as she found bluey and there's like
- 48:05now there's cartoon talking dogs and it's
- 48:07the episodes are entertaining she's good
- 48:10uh ed now i am fully on board
- 48:14with this pinking the brain is one of
- 48:15the greatest written shows in my lifetime
- 48:19what are we going to do tonight
- 48:21The same thing we do every night, Pinky.
- 48:25Try to take over the world.
- 48:29Pinky and the Brain is classic.
- 48:33If I see it, I turn it on.
- 48:39Are you thinking what I'm thinking, Pinky?
- 48:43And Pinky goes, I think so, Brain.
- 48:46But I don't know where we're going to
- 48:47get any rubber pants.
- 48:49Yeah.
- 48:53they are the best it's still like it
- 48:55still makes me laugh to this day it's
- 48:58it was so well written it was so
- 49:00well written like and it was not made
- 49:02for kids man thinking the brain it was
- 49:04on animaniacs but that does not mean that
- 49:07it was made for kids not by any
- 49:08stretch of the imagination no uh we had
- 49:16a girl in basic that my ti called
- 49:18pinky
- 49:21So she was brilliant, right?
- 49:22She was super smart.
- 49:23Yeah.
- 49:25Super smart.
- 49:26Just sharp as a tack every single time.
- 49:33There's a list.
- 49:39Oh, yeah.
- 49:41I'm not even getting into Barney.
- 49:43no nope jody never saw pinky never watch
- 49:48bluey i'm so out of it let me
- 49:51tell you jody if you see pinky in
- 49:53the brain on and you just want to
- 49:56laugh yeah it's worth just watch one
- 49:58episode it'll it'll cure what ails you yep
- 50:04fantastic
- 50:07Are you pondering what I'm pondering?
- 50:09That's what it is, not thinking.
- 50:11What are you pondering what I'm pondering?
- 50:12Or she had a huge dome.
- 50:15I mean, either way.
- 50:19That Joseph.
- 50:25Sorry,
- 50:26I just found a list of all of
- 50:28them.
- 50:28I think he just watches us to cure
- 50:30what ails her.
- 50:31I mean, whatever works.
- 50:35Ren and Stimpy, they were good too.
- 50:38I didn't get that channel growing up,
- 50:40so I missed that a little bit.
- 50:48As far as Ren and Stimpy is concerned,
- 50:49and Bert, you know what I'm talking about,
- 50:53Log...
- 50:55So they would do like random commercials
- 50:57for stuff that didn't actually exist,
- 50:59right?
- 50:59Because you were watching Ren and Stimpy.
- 51:02And there was one for a toy called
- 51:04Log.
- 51:05And it was exactly what you think it
- 51:07is.
- 51:07It's a log.
- 51:08And there's the theme song.
- 51:10And it starts off, what rolls downstairs,
- 51:12goes over some pears,
- 51:13rolls over your neighbor's dog.
- 51:15It fits in your back and great for
- 51:16a snack.
- 51:17It's Log, Log, Log.
- 51:18Yeah.
- 51:21it's log it's log it's big it's heavy
- 51:23it's wood it's log it's log it's better
- 51:27than bad it's good fyi ren and stimpy
- 51:34um is the same guy that did uh
- 51:38king of the hill oh mike judge mike
- 51:41judge like and beavis and butthead beavis
- 51:44and butthead all of that dude so like
- 51:48it's fantastic
- 51:50And there's a whole ad,
- 51:53and it's a kid with a big log.
- 51:57It's on your back,
- 51:57and grateful for a snack.
- 51:58It's log, log, log.
- 52:02I never missed an episode of Beavis and
- 52:03Butthead.
- 52:04I mean,
- 52:04that was when I was in college.
- 52:06Yeah.
- 52:06I mean, Beavis and Butthead,
- 52:08if it was on, that's another thing.
- 52:09If I was flipping through the channels and
- 52:11it was on, I was watching it.
- 52:15And now if you watch a rerun of
- 52:17it, they've taken the music videos out,
- 52:19which was my favorite part of Beavis and
- 52:22Honey.
- 52:22Yeah,
- 52:22when they were sitting there just making,
- 52:24or not,
- 52:24they were just talking about the music
- 52:25videos.
- 52:27Yeah.
- 52:28Yeah.
- 52:32Best cartoons ever,
- 52:33Thundercats and Voltron.
- 52:39No amount of therapy can fix this.
- 52:43The show or you, Meg?
- 52:48Because we don't want to be fixed.
- 52:50No.
- 52:52No man wants to be fixed.
- 52:55Oh, I am incorrect.
- 52:57I'm going to pray this apology right now.
- 53:00It was a completely different guy.
- 53:01I thought I was all Mike Judge.
- 53:03It's not.
- 53:05Animation veteran Jim Smith,
- 53:06who co-founded the studio and co-developed
- 53:08Ren Stimpy,
- 53:09died of a heart attack actually last year.
- 53:12And she was primary creator.
- 53:14John Krafowski is still living.
- 53:20anyway moving right along yeah i love king
- 53:22of the hill too but i digress i
- 53:24don't even i don't even know what the
- 53:26hell i was that's fine we got kate
- 53:28on wednesday producer as long as she
- 53:32passes the test on wednesday make me spit
- 53:39ghost everywhere no pressure um
- 53:47Yeah, I guess that's all I've got.
- 53:50I don't even know what the hell.
- 53:53With that, I like this from Ed.
- 53:55I am going to leave you.
- 53:57My therapist says I have some hurdles.
- 54:00I pay him to say that.
- 54:04Yeah, I think we all do, Ed.
- 54:06We all do.
- 54:11I think you mean if you pass the
- 54:13test.
- 54:16She's saying she's interviewing me.
- 54:19Are you talking to me?
- 54:21Are you talking to me?
- 54:26It's like that scene in Stubbrothers when
- 54:30they show up and it's like,
- 54:32why don't I interview you?
- 54:35They're doing the job interviews.
- 54:39She's like, okay,
- 54:40this could be a good exercise.
- 54:43No, it would not be.
- 54:45I just want to leave everybody with this.
- 54:48I love art open and closing theme songs.
- 54:53We had the Glintons on on Friday.
- 54:55This is the first show we've done since
- 54:56then.
- 54:58We had to pick Colleen up off the
- 54:59floor after the closing theme song.
- 55:02Y'all, she couldn't breathe.
- 55:07We can't hear each other while it's
- 55:08playing because everybody's muted.
- 55:11But you can see everybody's screen still.
- 55:13And Colleen was gasping,
- 55:16trying to get air into her lungs.
- 55:19And it was fantastic.
- 55:22And it made me feel so happy that
- 55:25someone got that much pleasure out of our
- 55:28closing song.
- 55:29A hundred percent.
- 55:30So good.
- 55:32Vicky keeps gotten checks.
- 55:34Corey is the loose cannon.
- 55:36Amen.
- 55:36Amen.
- 55:42Maybe.
- 55:44With that, everybody enjoy.
- 55:47Enjoy this closing theme song like Colleen
- 55:50Glinton would.
- 55:51You wouldn't wait to get to the editing
- 55:53room to jazz me up.
- 55:55I'm already jazzy.
- 56:15From the gym to the screen, yeah,
- 56:17we cover it all.
- 56:19Midday motivation every time we press
- 56:22call.
- 56:24Lunch with the Clydesdale,
- 56:25cowboy in the heat.
- 56:26CrossFit, movies, music, home repeat.
- 56:28Half-hour hustle, yeah,
- 56:29we're building that brand.
- 56:31Grab a plate, shoot it,
- 56:31now you're part of the fam.
