- 0:00Speaker 1: Uh so, my name is Andy and I played bass
- 0:02Speaker 1: in the band. We came as Romans.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Yeah the ful any thanks for trunning us today, mind.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Hell yeah, thanks for having me.
- 0:09Speaker 2: My pleasure so one time as Rymans will be in
- 0:11Speaker 2: Australia very soon. Made for your headlining be called Its
- 0:15Speaker 2: Way Doomed Astray each Oil, which starts in Brisbane on
- 0:18Speaker 2: February sixth.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Mite.
- 0:19Speaker 1: But she's not following.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Now you're packed and ready to go.
- 0:23Speaker 4: Yeah, for the most part, all the gears you know
- 0:27Speaker 4: at the space chilling, got everything rehearsed with it all.
- 0:30Speaker 4: It feels great. I haven't really packed too much of
- 0:34Speaker 4: the close stuff yet. Also, I'm glad. Literally the other
- 0:37Speaker 4: day I asked. He was like, how is it in
- 0:39Speaker 4: Australia and I was just like this, I'm like, oh
- 0:41Speaker 4: my god. So yeah, swim chunks for sure, and uh yeah,
- 0:46Speaker 4: just excited, excited to get over there, excited to play.
- 0:49Speaker 4: All the shows have been selling like crazy or sold out,
- 0:52Speaker 4: so we're we're beyond excited for this.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Next question, Mike, can you give me the cliche I
- 0:58Speaker 2: had expected answer? You can give me an honest one.
- 1:03Speaker 2: You guys have been on the road for a hell
- 1:04Speaker 2: of a long john, now right, how do you keep
- 1:07Speaker 2: things fresh and not get a little bit jaded? Like
- 1:09Speaker 2: playing live shows is awesome, but so sleeping in your
- 1:12Speaker 2: own bed.
- 1:14Speaker 1: So I mean, I'll be one hundred percent honest with you.
- 1:17Speaker 1: It a lot of it. A lot of it.
- 1:21Speaker 4: Comes from switching things up, and a lot of it
- 1:26Speaker 4: comes from making I would say a good fifty percent
- 1:33Speaker 4: of enjoying being on the road and not being jaded
- 1:37Speaker 4: is the company you keep in the attitude that you have.
- 1:40Speaker 4: Because if you are surrounded by people are like, oh great,
- 1:44Speaker 4: this again or this you know, da da da, who
- 1:48Speaker 4: aren't excited about life or aren't doing you know, fun
- 1:51Speaker 4: things or switching it up or changing out the monotony,
- 1:54Speaker 4: you'll always fall into that. And I've definitely fallen into
- 1:57Speaker 4: the jadedness before and sometimes still do. And I think
- 2:00Speaker 4: getting myself out of a funk is I always like
- 2:02Speaker 4: go for a walk. I practice gratitude every day of
- 2:05Speaker 4: my morning meditations. And then it sounds so dumb, but
- 2:09Speaker 4: you've got to make up some dumb games with your band,
- 2:13Speaker 4: like we have like so many stupid.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Games that we play, or like.
- 2:18Speaker 4: Little traditions like whiskey times, or like little fun things
- 2:23Speaker 4: like the last headliner, we kept going to those medieval
- 2:26Speaker 4: things where they like joust and like have like live
- 2:30Speaker 4: action sword fight. Like every off day we were going
- 2:32Speaker 4: to medieval times and just like buying these big gallons
- 2:36Speaker 4: of meat and drinking them so like, and it just
- 2:39Speaker 4: made it so much fun because every off there we're
- 2:41Speaker 4: like this or like you know, a whiskey time tradition
- 2:45Speaker 4: or something fun to do before we play to get
- 2:47Speaker 4: everyone excited. Like it's like a relationship, like you have
- 2:51Speaker 4: to keep that flame alive. And that's not it's you know,
- 2:54Speaker 4: on all levels, it's emotional. It's like it's like everything
- 2:57Speaker 4: you know, so you have to always like be like
- 2:59Speaker 4: you know, do something fun or like you know, and
- 3:02Speaker 4: sometimes it's even like chilling out on certain things. Like
- 3:04Speaker 4: sometimes we're you have too much fun at whiskey Time
- 3:06Speaker 4: and I'm like, yeah, i gotta take a couple of
- 3:08Speaker 4: days off.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna go hit the gym, you know, do this
- 3:10Speaker 1: reset or read a book.
- 3:11Speaker 4: So I think it's always switching it up, and it's
- 3:13Speaker 4: always keeping the company the good spirits and good morale.
- 3:18Speaker 4: And then like you're focusing on the good things, like
- 3:20Speaker 4: because you never know when the it can things could
- 3:24Speaker 4: just be gone, and so you always just like be
- 3:26Speaker 4: thankful and you know, and just have fun with it.
- 3:29Speaker 1: It's always about having fun.
- 3:30Speaker 4: That's why I got into playing music, was because I
- 3:32Speaker 4: was hanging out with my friends and having fun.
- 3:34Speaker 1: And if that's gone, then it's just it's just a job.
- 3:36Speaker 4: And I'm not.
- 3:37Speaker 1: I didn't.
- 3:38Speaker 4: I didn't join this band because it was a job.
- 3:40Speaker 4: I joined it because it was the exact opposite of it.
- 3:42Speaker 4: It still feels sometimes a good job, like it's work,
- 3:45Speaker 4: but it's the work I want to do.
- 3:46Speaker 1: It's the work I want to do. So big difference,
- 3:49Speaker 1: right answer, right answer.
- 3:51Speaker 2: You hear providing last year's album All is Beautiful Because
- 3:54Speaker 2: We're doing which came out in August last year. I
- 3:56Speaker 2: like now people have got a bit more chime to
- 3:58Speaker 2: actually fully digestic. Do you think about the response to
- 4:01Speaker 2: your ipenfo.
- 4:03Speaker 4: Yeah, it's kind of wild because it's it's kind of
- 4:07Speaker 4: a it's a it's a pretty big concept to like
- 4:12Speaker 4: kind of all over and there's a lot of like
- 4:14Speaker 4: there's a lot of mystery behind it. Some of it's
- 4:16Speaker 4: pretty pretty pretty blatant, you know, kind of just like
- 4:20Speaker 4: you know, hey, like life is short, like enjoy every
- 4:23Speaker 4: moment because you never know it could be your last
- 4:25Speaker 4: kind of thing. But also there's a lot of like
- 4:28Speaker 4: little hints of mystery in there, and a lot of
- 4:30Speaker 4: cool things that we like kept unsaid, which was kind
- 4:33Speaker 4: of nice because a lot of times we're just very
- 4:35Speaker 4: open and vulnerable about what kind of songs do what,
- 4:38Speaker 4: which is great. But I do love the fact that,
- 4:41Speaker 4: you know, I I don't have to tell everyone exactly
- 4:43Speaker 4: what this song is about or what these lyrics are about.
- 4:45Speaker 4: And I think that there's a lot of like there's
- 4:48Speaker 4: a lot of like really cool things that like are
- 4:51Speaker 4: there just for you know, the band, and I enjoy that,
- 4:55Speaker 4: and it.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Leaves it up to mystery. And and there's like a
- 4:58Speaker 1: lot of magic.
- 4:59Speaker 4: There's that the phrase magic is magic, so you know
- 5:01Speaker 4: it's a trick, you know what I mean, And it's like.
- 5:03Speaker 1: It's almost the same thing.
- 5:04Speaker 4: You want to leave some of that behind the curtain,
- 5:07Speaker 4: like just because it is what it is, you know
- 5:08Speaker 4: what I mean.
- 5:10Speaker 1: And I very much enjoy that.
- 5:12Speaker 4: And there are a lot of things on that you know,
- 5:14Speaker 4: the record is obviously about, you know from the title,
- 5:19Speaker 4: you know everything in life, it's the all is concept
- 5:23Speaker 4: is originally came from all is One, which is from
- 5:27Speaker 4: this book called Anatomy of the Spirit, and it's allays
- 5:30Speaker 4: one is the same thing as the Golden rule.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Do unch others, they will do unto you.
- 5:33Speaker 4: So everything and everyone in life that you interact with,
- 5:36Speaker 4: how you treat it, will treat you back in some
- 5:38Speaker 4: sort of way. So I love that title, but I
- 5:42Speaker 4: was like, it's too broad, and then started reading a
- 5:45Speaker 4: lot of Homer, who wrote like the Iliad and the Odyssey,
- 5:48Speaker 4: and there's a quote there where he's like, hey, like,
- 5:51Speaker 4: let me teach you something they don't teach in your temple.
- 5:53Speaker 1: He's like the.
- 5:53Speaker 4: Gods the mvs. The envious because our moments, any moment,
- 5:57Speaker 4: could be our last. He's like, everything in life becomes
- 5:59Speaker 4: so much more and beautiful because you're doomed. And so
- 6:02Speaker 4: I was like, oh, what if it was all is beautiful?
- 6:04Speaker 4: So everything and every one that you interact with, and
- 6:06Speaker 4: every part of the earth and this life that you
- 6:09Speaker 4: interact with is beautiful. So like the good times the
- 6:12Speaker 4: bad times, or this person or this thing or this
- 6:15Speaker 4: object can be beautiful no matter which way it's treated you,
- 6:18Speaker 4: because at the end, it'll also it's life is finite,
- 6:22Speaker 4: you know, it's you could end at any time, So
- 6:24Speaker 4: your experience will lead you to one place, you know,
- 6:28Speaker 4: whether good nor bad, ultimately will leave you, hopefully in
- 6:30Speaker 4: a place of peace. But those things just kind of
- 6:33Speaker 4: happen in life. And so each song is about an
- 6:35Speaker 4: experience the band has had collectively together, not just one person.
- 6:38Speaker 4: But we made sure there's something we've all experienced together,
- 6:41Speaker 4: and all those songs are in the ecosystem of the
- 6:45Speaker 4: life of what became as romans Is and the good
- 6:47Speaker 4: and the bad experience that has led up to an identity.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Thus Farol, you've already hit a few countries around the
- 6:53Speaker 3: world on these albums, so I will say, do you
- 6:55Speaker 3: find that songs off the album like different countries and
- 6:59Speaker 3: different areas Brevage like your songs more than others in
- 7:02Speaker 3: other countries.
- 7:02Speaker 2: I sort of dichect it as much.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Oh yeah, we.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Have Like in Europe they love like the heavier ass
- 7:09Speaker 4: beater songs, so we're like sweet Europe gets.
- 7:13Speaker 1: The heavy ones that Australia is.
- 7:15Speaker 4: Australia is like I think more like you know, sixty
- 7:20Speaker 4: to seventy percent heavier and then the other thirty to.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Forty is more like.
- 7:27Speaker 4: The heavy octane kind of kind of jams, So it's
- 7:30Speaker 4: cool because that gives the best kind of room. The
- 7:34Speaker 4: States is like very fifty to fifty. I think the
- 7:37Speaker 4: States is a little bit oversaturated with you know, like
- 7:41Speaker 4: heavy heavy touring and stuff. So it's not oversaturated, but
- 7:45Speaker 4: it's overstaturated with bands in general.
- 7:47Speaker 1: So like if you're going to go see like a
- 7:49Speaker 1: heavy show, it's.
- 7:50Speaker 4: Just easier to almost go see a heavy show than
- 7:51Speaker 4: to see a band you like just play heavy songs,
- 7:54Speaker 4: you know, if that makes any kind of sense. But
- 7:57Speaker 4: you know, like we have some breakdowns that kind of
- 7:59Speaker 4: almost have like a Kubacan vibe, but like you know,
- 8:02Speaker 4: they're gonna Cuba cont bands.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Canna go see Coopa count which is totally cool, you know,
- 8:05Speaker 1: and I love.
- 8:06Speaker 4: Kubacan, you know, but it definitely as cool because it's
- 8:10Speaker 4: very balanced in the States like right down the middle.
- 8:13Speaker 4: Then Australia leans a little bit more heavy, which is
- 8:15Speaker 4: just kind of nice, and then Europe is definitely like
- 8:18Speaker 4: they love heavy.
- 8:19Speaker 1: If you're like a death metal.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Band, a hardcore band, or you know, a heavy E
- 8:26Speaker 4: d M band, like you do very well over their
- 8:28Speaker 4: metal core. I feel like it's finally kind of really
- 8:31Speaker 4: coming through, especially thanks to bands like Barry Tomorrow and
- 8:34Speaker 4: stuff like that. Like I feel like it's really starting
- 8:38Speaker 4: to make make headway over there.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Which is great.
- 8:40Speaker 4: But yeah, over in Australia, we're like cool man, we
- 8:43Speaker 4: just get to play a couple more heavier tunes than
- 8:46Speaker 4: the classic ones and a couple it would be exciting
- 8:49Speaker 4: because on this tour were playing some songs that we've
- 8:51Speaker 4: never played before.
- 8:52Speaker 1: So very excited on that.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Yeah, part of that tool you had a homecoming shot
- 8:58Speaker 2: at the fillmore into try right back in August nightlight.
- 9:02Speaker 2: You would have heart that up a load in your head.
- 9:04Speaker 2: But when you got there, like, was it as good
- 9:05Speaker 2: as what you thought it was going to be?
- 9:07Speaker 1: Oh yeah it was. It's insane.
- 9:10Speaker 4: The entire band, the entire band, you know, was crying
- 9:14Speaker 4: at one point, you know what I mean, just and
- 9:17Speaker 4: happiness of just playing.
- 9:18Speaker 1: That's just such a nostalgic venue and we've all seen.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Bands, you know, play there, and I want to say
- 9:26Speaker 4: that the last time we did play there was the
- 9:30Speaker 4: memorial show for when we lost our one of our seniors,
- 9:33Speaker 4: Kyle Paphone, and uh, it was like really hard to
- 9:37Speaker 4: play but it was it was an amazing, heartfelt show
- 9:40Speaker 4: when we did play it, so it was really something
- 9:43Speaker 4: else to go back play again on a headliner on
- 9:48Speaker 4: this cycle and you know, not only pay tribute and
- 9:52Speaker 4: feel the love you know, from above from.
- 9:55Speaker 1: From Kyle, but also play for us too, you know.
- 9:58Speaker 1: And uh so it's a really beautiful moment.
- 10:01Speaker 4: And it was great because we had all our family,
- 10:03Speaker 4: friends significant others there and it was also like the
- 10:07Speaker 4: same day that I think like the Tigers and some
- 10:11Speaker 4: other sports team played and then some other event was
- 10:16Speaker 4: going on downtown.
- 10:17Speaker 1: So we were like, yeah, well like show up at
- 10:19Speaker 1: this time, you know, and it'll be good.
- 10:21Speaker 4: And it was like traffic for days, so like our
- 10:24Speaker 4: girlfriend and I had to like ditch the car, find
- 10:27Speaker 4: a random parking spot in Detroit and run a scooter
- 10:30Speaker 4: and scoot down to make sure we got to the
- 10:31Speaker 4: meet and greet. Like you know, it's just it was wild,
- 10:34Speaker 4: but it was one of those such a fun good
- 10:37Speaker 4: times that you just you know, it's a hometown show.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Where you grew up playing and you know, I Dave,
- 10:44Speaker 1: our vocalist.
- 10:44Speaker 4: Was like I watched the US play here, like and
- 10:46Speaker 4: I got the shit kicked out of me when I
- 10:48Speaker 4: was like fourteen and I just maybe want to start
- 10:50Speaker 4: a band, and now I'm up here doing it, so
- 10:52Speaker 4: you can do it too.
- 10:53Speaker 1: So you get to, you.
- 10:53Speaker 4: Know, kind of let other people know it is possible,
- 10:56Speaker 4: and it's just like a good feeling because you know,
- 10:58Speaker 4: we all we all been there at one point.
- 11:01Speaker 1: So it's always good to people know anything is possible.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Nice, bro, Yeah, I know if you got a couple
- 11:07Speaker 2: of all it shows in there, team mate, which is
- 11:10Speaker 2: very commendable because I've sort of helped a few bands lately.
- 11:13Speaker 2: We looked into all age shows and despite what people think,
- 11:15Speaker 2: they're not that easy to put on, like venues are
- 11:17Speaker 2: very reluctant to do it. But good on you guys
- 11:19Speaker 2: for doing the man, I think it's two out of
- 11:20Speaker 2: the five there for all ages to say you bring
- 11:23Speaker 2: in the next generation.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Thank you, brother, I appreciate it. Yeah, none of them.
- 11:28Speaker 2: To get pretty well the way, like some of them
- 11:29Speaker 2: sixteen year olds in the washfeeder are way worse than
- 11:32Speaker 2: us old fellaws eleven.
- 11:33Speaker 4: B dude, It's it's insane, man. So yeah, I'm scared
- 11:38Speaker 4: to go on the last bit. Then I'm like I'm like, no, dude,
- 11:42Speaker 4: we actually funny.
- 11:43Speaker 1: I prevail.
- 11:44Speaker 4: We play with them at a venue around here. It
- 11:46Speaker 4: was like a downplay with us, and I prevailed for
- 11:48Speaker 4: their CD release show. But it was like very intimate,
- 11:52Speaker 4: very just like fun show, and they got to hear
- 11:56Speaker 4: the record before it came out. So I was standing
- 11:59Speaker 4: in the crowd like just because I wanted to hear
- 12:01Speaker 4: the record over the PA and I had pre ordered
- 12:03Speaker 4: the record. They're friends of mine, you know, and I
- 12:05Speaker 4: had already heard it, but I was like, I support
- 12:07Speaker 4: my boys, you know. So I'm like listen to the record.
- 12:10Speaker 4: All of a sudden, the band's not even playing. They're
- 12:12Speaker 4: just on stage and they're jamming the record and everyone's
- 12:14Speaker 4: getting it's like a meet and greet listening party. This
- 12:17Speaker 4: kid just starts like fucking mashing, you know what. I'm
- 12:20Speaker 4: just standing there like kind of jamming. He just goes
- 12:23Speaker 4: damn and like decks be the side of the head.
- 12:24Speaker 1: And I'm like, God, okay, am all right. It's just
- 12:27Speaker 1: like fine.
- 12:28Speaker 4: And then I just kind of like back up and
- 12:29Speaker 4: I stand next to our video guy who was also
- 12:32Speaker 4: working video for them, and he's like okay.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, dude, I just getting too old for this.
- 12:35Speaker 1: I like, I gotta stand and stand somewhere else.
- 12:38Speaker 4: But yeah, so I'm too old to go in the
- 12:40Speaker 4: mos fits now. But yeah, some sixteen hundred olds out there,
- 12:43Speaker 4: just brutal. Man, They're swinging, They're out there.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Rather nice shining on the background.
- 12:50Speaker 1: I had to wake That's what I'm saying, right, you
- 12:54Speaker 1: gos running out.
- 12:55Speaker 2: He lost in like twenty twenty four with Lice Kibbles
- 12:57Speaker 2: in the Emity Affliction. So bands again, it definitely want
- 13:00Speaker 2: a couple only game, but there will be people. Yeah,
- 13:02Speaker 2: they got throw a months to guys, how's this show
- 13:05Speaker 2: going to be different to the Ice Watchers and're watching
- 13:07Speaker 2: people coming home?
- 13:09Speaker 4: Yeah, it's so funny because that tour was not only
- 13:12Speaker 4: amazing and I feel like we gained a lot of
- 13:14Speaker 4: fans on that, and also it was just like such
- 13:17Speaker 4: a great opportunity and such amazing people like I love
- 13:21Speaker 4: the Amity Camp, the Ice nine Camp and the Heaven's
- 13:24Speaker 4: Gate boys are just it was amazing overall. And we
- 13:27Speaker 4: even had a day where we all went out. Amity
- 13:29Speaker 4: rented this huge boat and we all went like swimming
- 13:31Speaker 4: out in Sydney Harbor, which is crazy because I also
- 13:34Speaker 4: didn't know how many sharks were actually around the harbor
- 13:37Speaker 4: at one point, and there's like thirteen hundred circlaning at
- 13:40Speaker 4: all times, and I'm like, sweet, I was just sitting
- 13:41Speaker 4: there for like twenty minutes.
- 13:44Speaker 1: But yeah, I had a blast on that tour and
- 13:46Speaker 1: it was great. But you know, it's it's funny.
- 13:49Speaker 4: It's almost like you kind of have to pick a
- 13:50Speaker 4: strategy move when you are supporting, so you're kind of,
- 13:54Speaker 4: you know, you're you're at the mercy of these other
- 13:56Speaker 4: fans who are coming out to see the headliner, So
- 13:58Speaker 4: you will have some of your fans obviously want to
- 14:00Speaker 4: hear the songs, but you're also trying to cater to
- 14:02Speaker 4: a new audience, so it's.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Important to almost strategically play.
- 14:07Speaker 4: So if like sometimes you're stacked up with all these
- 14:09Speaker 4: other really light bands, sometimes it's like, okay, like maybe
- 14:12Speaker 4: we play a couple of our light songs and we
- 14:13Speaker 4: hit them with just heavy, you know, heavy heavy songs,
- 14:16Speaker 4: and we'll be the heavy band on this tour, you know.
- 14:18Speaker 4: Or other times it's like, hey, let's play our cards
- 14:20Speaker 4: and do like this way, let's.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Be like this kind of band.
- 14:22Speaker 4: So it's almost you have to be wise about what
- 14:25Speaker 4: kind of you know suit you want to wear to
- 14:27Speaker 4: the party, you know what I mean.
- 14:28Speaker 1: And so in that same sense for.
- 14:31Speaker 4: The Amit tour, we're like, hey, we'll lean into like
- 14:34Speaker 4: like some of our classic songs, but them for the
- 14:36Speaker 4: most part, we want it to be heavy ass kicking
- 14:38Speaker 4: and like, if we only have like thirty or forty
- 14:41Speaker 4: five minutes that we had, we're like, it's just song
- 14:42Speaker 4: for song for song for song, Let's make sure they
- 14:45Speaker 4: just don't stop and just be an absolute force, you know,
- 14:47Speaker 4: no breaks, just like quick. And so we were just
- 14:51Speaker 4: using strike while the iron hot kind of mentality for
- 14:54Speaker 4: that run. So now going to headline, it's almost different
- 15:00Speaker 4: kind of thing where we want to tell a story
- 15:02Speaker 4: about the record that's now out and we want to
- 15:05Speaker 4: you know, say, like we have things we want to
- 15:07Speaker 4: say in between songs. We want to play songs that
- 15:09Speaker 4: we've never played before live. Because with Australia being one
- 15:13Speaker 4: of our biggest growing markets, we were like, hey, we
- 15:16Speaker 4: need to bring some surprises, some fun things over here
- 15:19Speaker 4: because it is like a growing market. So how do
- 15:22Speaker 4: we water that and what are some really cool things
- 15:24Speaker 4: that we can do to make sure that people know that, Like,
- 15:26Speaker 4: oh shit, sometimes when some of the first things ever
- 15:29Speaker 4: happened happen out here, you know, in Australia. It makes
- 15:32Speaker 4: people want to come out more and we want to
- 15:35Speaker 4: make it something special because you know, we've only been
- 15:38Speaker 4: I think to Australia maybe like six times in our career,
- 15:41Speaker 4: and you know, I think we've been to Europe like
- 15:43Speaker 4: eighteen now or sixteen or something crazy like that, and
- 15:47Speaker 4: the US probably a million, I don't know, but it's
- 15:50Speaker 4: it's like a thing where like we want to make
- 15:52Speaker 4: it a special thing every time we every time we
- 15:54Speaker 4: come over there. So how do we start doing that?
- 15:56Speaker 4: And so you can hear songs you've never heard before,
- 15:59Speaker 4: more of a story, more of an intimate kind of thing,
- 16:02Speaker 4: and get like a full movie instead of getting you know,
- 16:06Speaker 4: a thirty a thirty minute short story or like.
- 16:09Speaker 1: A preview for something.
- 16:11Speaker 4: You know, I think that's what's going to be what
- 16:14Speaker 4: sets it apart differently, And it's it's fun because you know,
- 16:18Speaker 4: you're in production and playing with like you know, playing
- 16:22Speaker 4: like to a certain like carved out, tailored set is
- 16:27Speaker 4: so much more different than just like playing just for
- 16:30Speaker 4: the smash hits. So it'll be nice, it'll it'll have
- 16:33Speaker 4: a very ebb and flow kind of feel to it.
- 16:36Speaker 4: And you know, we've got some cool surprises. I can't
- 16:39Speaker 4: give them all with but you know there are a
- 16:41Speaker 4: few there and if you want to find out, grab
- 16:44Speaker 4: your ticket and they're going quick.
- 16:47Speaker 2: You saw me, Bri because the first I'm seeing I
- 16:49Speaker 2: want you to Brisbane. Leg if I'm at that show.
- 16:51Speaker 2: That was my first I'm seeing you. Oh sick pretty
- 16:54Speaker 2: much hicks off on that show might so I'm really.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Looking forward to seeing dude. Hell yeah, are you You're
- 16:59Speaker 1: gonna be at the Brisbane as well? Dude? We Hell yeah,
- 17:05Speaker 1: we'll have to hang out.
- 17:06Speaker 4: I was gonna say, we went to the what's that
- 17:08Speaker 4: island that's off of you?
- 17:11Speaker 1: They have those little I think so I have a
- 17:13Speaker 1: little quakers like.
- 17:14Speaker 2: The little Yeah, how cool is I?
- 17:17Speaker 4: Dude? We That was one of my favorite times touring,
- 17:21Speaker 4: Like we just got on this ferry. It was like
- 17:23Speaker 4: an hour or some change or maybe two hours and
- 17:26Speaker 4: got to that the island and got to ride bikes
- 17:30Speaker 4: and just go like hang out with the animals and
- 17:32Speaker 4: just like snorkeling was because we played the show and
- 17:36Speaker 4: then we had a day off and we woke up
- 17:38Speaker 4: early and we just went to this beach and like, dude,
- 17:41Speaker 4: I lost my wallet and everything and I still had
- 17:43Speaker 4: the best time. I did not care, could care. I
- 17:46Speaker 4: was just like I don't care. And then like the
- 17:48Speaker 4: authorities on the wall and they were messaging me, and
- 17:50Speaker 4: I was like, I'm already already halfway across back to America,
- 17:54Speaker 4: Like don't worry about it. Just you know, throw it out,
- 17:56Speaker 4: like I cancel all the cards whatever. But like, dude,
- 17:59Speaker 4: I had so much fun over in Brisbane and it
- 18:02Speaker 4: was yeah, it was just it was It's in burning
- 18:05Speaker 4: my memory, like one of.
- 18:06Speaker 1: The best times I've had on an off day after
- 18:09Speaker 1: a tour ever. So, yeah, you've.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Got one more show after your headlining run too, Brotherly
- 18:14Speaker 2: like playing at the Lights of Beach Festival, Polaris fly
- 18:18Speaker 2: Out his Murder, Ocean Sleeper and more in Secilda on
- 18:20Speaker 2: Balanchine's Day, I've touched but something like that.
- 18:26Speaker 1: No, I mean, we're stoked to play.
- 18:27Speaker 4: My girlfriend hates it, She's like, what the fuck, why
- 18:30Speaker 4: are you I'm like, like, listen, I gotta I gotta
- 18:34Speaker 4: make money somehow, come on, you know, But yeah, it's
- 18:38Speaker 4: uh no, we're super excited. Obviously, the Polaris guys. We
- 18:43Speaker 4: been friends with those boys for a really long time.
- 18:47Speaker 4: Got to like split a bus with Europe in Europe
- 18:49Speaker 4: with them in like twenty seventeen. First time we got
- 18:52Speaker 4: to hang out with them and tour with them. So
- 18:54Speaker 4: it's way different than just touring with someone. You split
- 18:56Speaker 4: a bus with someone, you really get to know them.
- 18:57Speaker 4: So it was splitting a bus with them and the
- 19:00Speaker 4: you in this other band called Alaska, So really great people,
- 19:03Speaker 4: really great time. So anytime we cross paths with them,
- 19:06Speaker 4: it's always a pleasure to see them. So excited to
- 19:10Speaker 4: share the stage with those boys and yeah, and also
- 19:14Speaker 4: play in the water.
- 19:15Speaker 1: And I don't think we've really played.
- 19:17Speaker 4: A lot of festival shows out in Australia, so I'm
- 19:20Speaker 4: very excited. Like we've done the No Sleep Till which
- 19:23Speaker 4: was like a first festival that was kind of like
- 19:25Speaker 4: a sound wave that was happening in the twenty ten
- 19:29Speaker 4: eleven era. So we did that tour, which is like
- 19:31Speaker 4: really cool, which kind of a festival kind of did
- 19:33Speaker 4: like the Warp tour, which is also festival ish, and
- 19:36Speaker 4: like that last Amiti run felt like the size of
- 19:39Speaker 4: the you know, crowds stuff felt like a festival, but
- 19:42Speaker 4: This will be I think maybe one of the first
- 19:45Speaker 4: real like solo standing festivals I think we've played.
- 19:48Speaker 1: We do a lot of festival circuits in the US.
- 19:51Speaker 4: And in Europe, but this is gonna be really not
- 19:55Speaker 4: only fun and interesting to be playing one in Australia
- 19:58Speaker 4: and on the water. So a couple of my favorite
- 20:01Speaker 4: things and so and to and the tour and have
- 20:04Speaker 4: a couple of drinks before that.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Long ass play sounds great, so it should be. It
- 20:09Speaker 1: should be a blast.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Thank Jasey Robell, thanks for your time that I make
- 20:12Speaker 2: pleasure speaking with either. Tour does kick off in Brisbane
- 20:15Speaker 2: of februy six. I know people say this all the time,
- 20:18Speaker 2: but there are fuck all tickets left, So if you
- 20:20Speaker 2: want to go to any of the shows any quick,
- 20:22Speaker 2: otherwise you mind miss out, Yes, sir
