- 0:00Speaker 1: And now, Mark Simone on 710WOR. Thank you, Shadow Stevens. Well,
- 0:07Speaker 1: we got a lot to get to. We'll talk with
- 0:10Speaker 1: Bruce Blakeman about the governor's race and the debate coming
- 0:13Speaker 1: up on Tuesday. We'll take a look at a lot
- 0:16Speaker 1: of stuff. Now, this ICE shooting, let's just clear up
- 0:19Speaker 1: a lot of stuff here. ICE is in New York
- 0:22Speaker 1: last night, yesterday, and here's the problem. The Department of
- 0:28Speaker 1: Homeland Security has asked local police everywhere to cooperate with ICE.
- 0:33Speaker 1: If ICE has to come in and arrest people, it's
- 0:35Speaker 1: the position of the Trump administration. They would prefer that
- 0:39Speaker 1: the illegals just be turned over to ICE peacefully. For instance,
- 0:46Speaker 1: in New York City jails, we have 15,000 illegals who
- 0:51Speaker 1: are also criminals. That's why they're in jail. They've committed
- 0:54Speaker 1: crimes and they're here illegally. ICE has asked that New
- 0:59Speaker 1: York City turn them over, peacefully turn over these prisoners
- 1:01Speaker 1: to ICE so they could be deported. If you're here illegally,
- 1:05Speaker 1: you should be deported. If you're here illegally and you're
- 1:09Speaker 1: a criminal, of course you should be deported. And that's
- 1:12Speaker 1: the Trump administration policy when it comes to deportation. They
- 1:16Speaker 1: want to first and foremost just go after criminals, illegal
- 1:21Speaker 1: criminals committing crimes, rape, robbery, gang members, that sort of stuff.
- 1:25Speaker 1: that are here illegally, deport them. And they've been doing that.
- 1:28Speaker 1: They've done 500,000 already. 500,000 of these criminals have been deported.
- 1:34Speaker 1: That's one reason the crime numbers keep coming down all
- 1:37Speaker 1: over America. All these different cities, crime has dropped. Yeah,
- 1:40Speaker 1: that's why, because they've taken these illegal who are committing crimes.
- 1:44Speaker 1: You've gotten, just here in New York, they've gotten a
- 1:46Speaker 1: couple thousand criminals out of here. Now, they've arrested 500,000
- 1:52Speaker 1: of these criminals off the streets, 500,000. Out of these 500,000,
- 1:56Speaker 1: there've been about three of these incidents where they had
- 1:59Speaker 1: to shoot somebody. Three out of 500,000. It's a pretty
- 2:04Speaker 1: good record. So what happened with this guy yesterday, he's
- 2:10Speaker 1: an illegal, he's gang affiliated, he's got some crimes, he's
- 2:14Speaker 1: got a rap sheet, but it's New York, so even
- 2:17Speaker 1: though he confessed that he was guilty on the last robbery,
- 2:21Speaker 1: They gave him probation. They didn't put him in jail.
- 2:23Speaker 1: They let him run around the streets. So he's got
- 2:27Speaker 1: a kid in the car. It's believed it's his child,
- 2:30Speaker 1: a five-year-old. Here's what we know. Forget all the yelling
- 2:33Speaker 1: and screaming and grandstanding. This is what we know. We
- 2:38Speaker 1: have surveillance cameras all over the streets of New York.
- 2:40Speaker 1: You can see on the surveillance camera that this guy's
- 2:43Speaker 1: driving with the kid in his car, and he sees
- 2:45Speaker 1: a parking space, and he backs up trying to pull
- 2:49Speaker 1: into this parking space. And as he's pulling in, ICE
- 2:54Speaker 1: agents approach the car. One on the driver's side, and
- 2:58Speaker 1: then one comes from the passenger's side. Now, this is
- 3:01Speaker 1: a criminal with a rap sheet, and he's a criminal
- 3:05Speaker 1: who's been approached by ICE before. ICE has tried to
- 3:08Speaker 1: detain him before. So a lot of times when you've
- 3:11Speaker 1: got a real career criminal who's had run-ins with the police,
- 3:15Speaker 1: they don't want to get arrested again, He's also on probation,
- 3:19Speaker 1: which would send him to prison. So he sees the
- 3:22Speaker 1: ICE agents approach. They're undercover, but, you know, he assumes
- 3:26Speaker 1: they're cops. And this is what you can see on
- 3:29Speaker 1: the surveillance camera. As they approach his car, as he's
- 3:31Speaker 1: trying to pull into the space, he sees them and
- 3:34Speaker 1: he pulls out of the space, trying to speed away
- 3:37Speaker 1: from them. Well, unfortunately, that's where it goes out of
- 3:40Speaker 1: camera range and there isn't another surveillance camera on the street.
- 3:44Speaker 1: So that's what the police commissioner has confirmed. On the
- 3:47Speaker 1: New York City cameras, you can see as ICE agents approach,
- 3:50Speaker 1: he pulls away. Now, what the Department of Homeland Security
- 3:53Speaker 1: is saying, and they say they have body cameras that
- 3:58Speaker 1: show this. They haven't released it yet, but they say
- 4:01Speaker 1: they will release it later. They want the investigation to
- 4:05Speaker 1: take place first. And then they said they will release
- 4:07Speaker 1: the body camera footage. So if they release it and
- 4:12Speaker 1: their story holds up with the body cam footage, Then
- 4:15Speaker 1: that's it. Case closed. Shooting justified. What they're saying is,
- 4:18Speaker 1: as the guy tried to speed away with his car,
- 4:21Speaker 1: there were other ICE agents in cars, and they tried
- 4:24Speaker 1: to box him in so he couldn't get away. And
- 4:28Speaker 1: then apparently he rammed his car into these law enforcement cars.
- 4:33Speaker 1: He rammed his car into theirs and then tried to
- 4:39Speaker 1: run over some police officers, some ICE agents who were
- 4:42Speaker 1: standing there. Not in cars, but standing on the street.
- 4:45Speaker 1: He tried to run them over. Well, if this is
- 4:47Speaker 1: the case, they're saying that's what happened. If the body
- 4:50Speaker 1: cam footage backs it up, then that's it. Justified shooting. Absolutely,
- 4:55Speaker 1: thousand percent justified. So we're just waiting to see that
- 5:00Speaker 1: body cam footage. I would assume it's all true, because
- 5:04Speaker 1: why would the Secretary of Homeland Security say all this,
- 5:07Speaker 1: release all this, if he couldn't back it up? So
- 5:10Speaker 1: we're just waiting for that body cam footage. And that's
- 5:13Speaker 1: the end of the matter. Despite the grandstanding, despite Mamdani.
- 5:17Speaker 2: New York City will not stand by while ICE agents
- 5:20Speaker 2: shoot New Yorkers. And we will not back down from
- 5:24Speaker 2: the demand that so many, including myself, have put forward
- 5:27Speaker 2: time and again. This is an agency that must be abolished.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Okay, they're not shooting New Yorkers. No New Yorkers are
- 5:33Speaker 1: targets of ICE. They're going after illegals. who are not
- 5:37Speaker 1: supposed to be here, illegals, and only after illegals have
- 5:40Speaker 1: committed crimes and are gang-affiliated or have rap sheets. And now,
- 5:45Speaker 1: after this, Mamdani goes into a rage, grandstanding like crazy.
- 5:50Speaker 1: He says he was on the phone. Listen to this.
- 5:52Speaker 2: For the past two hours, I have been on the
- 5:55Speaker 2: phone with President Trump and Secretary Mullen, negotiating the release
- 6:00Speaker 2: of the man ICE agents shot. Those negotiations were unsuccessful.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Okay, here's the real story. He was on the phone
- 6:07Speaker 1: with Mullen and the Department of Homeland Security for two hours. Yes,
- 6:13Speaker 1: the president talked to him, but that was five minutes
- 6:15Speaker 1: of the two hours. Now, here's the problem. When he
- 6:20Speaker 1: demanded the release of this guy, the Trump administration agreed
- 6:24Speaker 1: to release the guy. They said they would release him
- 6:27Speaker 1: to the NYPD, you know, as long as the NYPD
- 6:31Speaker 1: would hold the guy in custody. That's not what Mamdani
- 6:34Speaker 1: was asking for. Mamdani demanded the guy be released back
- 6:38Speaker 1: into the streets. Dangerous criminal. He wanted him released back
- 6:45Speaker 1: into the streets. This is obviously irrational, obviously reckless, stupid. Now,
- 6:53Speaker 1: the ICE agents fired at the car. Apparently, they fired
- 6:55Speaker 1: seven shots. Only one went through the windshield. You can
- 6:59Speaker 1: see one bullet hole, and it hit this illegal. in
- 7:03Speaker 1: the neck. He was taken to the hospital. Apparently, he
- 7:07Speaker 1: was not badly hurt, not too badly hurt, because they
- 7:11Speaker 1: released him. Hours later, they released him. So, that was
- 7:15Speaker 1: what Mamdani was demanding. He was demanding they let this
- 7:18Speaker 1: guy go, let him back into the streets. This criminal
- 7:21Speaker 1: with the rap sheet, this is typical Mamdani. Criminal, career criminal,
- 7:27Speaker 1: gang affiliations, let him roam the streets. That's what Mamdani
- 7:30Speaker 1: was fighting for. Now, One reason he might be grandstanding
- 7:35Speaker 1: like crazy, this is October 8th yesterday. October 7th, Mamdani
- 7:42Speaker 1: got himself into a lot of trouble. Mamdani crossed a
- 7:45Speaker 1: line on October 7th. He's openly anti-Semitic, very anti-Israel, but
- 7:51Speaker 1: to the point where it's obvious anti-Semitism. You know, if
- 7:55Speaker 1: you hate Israel, the country, for some reason, that's one thing.
- 8:01Speaker 1: You lay out exactly what you don't want them to
- 8:03Speaker 1: do And you try to get them to stop doing something.
- 8:06Speaker 1: If you want Israel gone, abolished, then you're anti-Semitic. You know,
- 8:10Speaker 1: they keep saying, I'm just anti-Israel. You can't separate the
- 8:13Speaker 1: two completely. Every ethnic group has a homeland, a country.
- 8:19Speaker 1: The French have a country. It's called France. Germany has
- 8:21Speaker 1: a country. It's called Germany. The Brits have a country.
- 8:25Speaker 1: It's called the UK, England. To say that one ethnic group,
- 8:30Speaker 1: the Jews, can't have a homeland... It's absolute anti-Semitism. Of
- 8:36Speaker 1: course they have to have a homeland. Of course they
- 8:38Speaker 1: should have a homeland. Of course they should have a country.
- 8:42Speaker 1: So it's real anti-Semitism. But October 7th, he pretended to
- 8:47Speaker 1: be somewhat supportive of the Jews by going to this vigil,
- 8:51Speaker 1: this candlelight vigil for those killed on October 7th. But
- 8:54Speaker 1: then he published online the most disgusting, vile, anti-Semitic, stuff
- 9:02Speaker 1: against Jews, against Israel. It was just horrifying. And the
- 9:07Speaker 1: reason I say he crossed the line, there were people
- 9:10Speaker 1: that were defending him on his anti-Semitism. You know, even
- 9:15Speaker 1: political commentators, you know, Mark Halpern, who, this guy's all
- 9:19Speaker 1: over the map, but even he always defended Mamdani. He said,
- 9:23Speaker 1: you know, obviously he's not fond of Jews, but you're
- 9:27Speaker 1: throwing the anti-Semitism word around too much. He was defending.
- 9:30Speaker 1: There are people like that. Well, after October 7th, they
- 9:34Speaker 1: all came out publicly and said, I was wrong. This
- 9:36Speaker 1: guy is an anti-Semite. So some of the people, even
- 9:40Speaker 1: some of the Democrats who were defending Mamdani after October
- 9:45Speaker 1: 7th and what he published said, to do this, to
- 9:48Speaker 1: publish this anytime is horrible. To do it on October
- 9:52Speaker 1: 7th is absolutely an outrage. So even a lot of
- 9:56Speaker 1: the people defending Mandani turned on him. They said he
- 9:58Speaker 1: clearly is deeply, deeply anti-Semitic. So he went too far. Now,
- 10:04Speaker 1: the problem is he was trying to play both sides
- 10:07Speaker 1: of the aisle, the Jews, the Jew haters, but he
- 10:11Speaker 1: ended up getting them all mad at him. Jews were
- 10:14Speaker 1: jeering him.
- 10:14Speaker 3: He's mad!
- 10:20Speaker 1: And then his anti-Semitic base, well, they were mad at
- 10:25Speaker 1: him too for going to the vigil. So clearly he
- 10:37Speaker 1: crossed the line, really crossed the line and lost both sides.
- 10:41Speaker 1: So that's why when this ice shooting happened, I think
- 10:44Speaker 1: he went crazy trying to grandstand off it. Hey, now
- 10:48Speaker 1: there's another problem here. Mamdani appointed all these crazies into
- 10:52Speaker 1: all these departments here. He's got a new transportation secretary.
- 10:56Speaker 1: You know, they always get this war on cars. First,
- 10:58Speaker 1: they put in bike lanes. Then there's certain Bloomberg was
- 11:02Speaker 1: guilty of this, this war on cars. Made a pedestrian
- 11:05Speaker 1: plaza right in the middle of Times Square. No cars.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Herald Square. It's just ridiculous. You look out the window here,
- 11:12Speaker 1: 6th Avenue.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Look at that.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Used to be like a five-lane street. Now it's two
- 11:18Speaker 1: lanes of bike lanes. It's another bike lane. It's a
- 11:20Speaker 1: pedicab lane. It's an electric scooter lane. Maybe there's one
- 11:24Speaker 1: lane for cars. It's ridiculous. So they screwed up the streets.
- 11:28Speaker 1: They're trying to stop, you know, make more. They want
- 11:30Speaker 1: to do more pedestrian plazas. But listen to this. Mondani's
- 11:33Speaker 1: transportation boss. They're really trying to win this war on cars.
- 11:38Speaker 1: They're going to go after parking spaces. They're going to
- 11:42Speaker 1: go after parking. The Department of Transportation Commissioner Mike Flynn
- 11:46Speaker 1: told an audience that car owners are wealthy elitists and
- 11:52Speaker 1: we should go after them. He said car owning is
- 11:56Speaker 1: a burden for the lower income. He's going to target parking.
- 12:00Speaker 1: He said it's a giveaway. So I guess they're going
- 12:02Speaker 1: to go after the parking spaces and make it impossible
- 12:07Speaker 1: to park. They'll do anything to get these cars to
- 12:09Speaker 1: go away. Now, If you park in a garage in
- 12:13Speaker 1: New York or you live in a building where you've
- 12:15Speaker 1: got a garage, they can try to go after the garages.
- 12:19Speaker 1: That's tough, though, because all these, the garage, like the
- 12:22Speaker 1: one over there, they rent it from the building. The
- 12:25Speaker 1: building is the landlord, not the city. But you'll see
- 12:28Speaker 1: the city. There are municipal lots. You'll see them probably
- 12:31Speaker 1: go after those. They're trying to do this. Now, how
- 12:34Speaker 1: many people own cars? Staten Island, 85% have cars. Queens, 63%
- 12:44Speaker 1: have cars. This is the majority in Queens and Staten Island. Brooklyn,
- 12:48Speaker 1: it's 45%, about half. The Bronx, it's 40%. Manhattan, just 23%
- 12:57Speaker 1: have cars. But there are some Democrats saying this is ridiculous,
- 13:02Speaker 1: punishing drivers by making commuting harder. It doesn't force people
- 13:07Speaker 1: onto bikes in public transit. It just puts an incredible
- 13:10Speaker 1: burden on them. You know, a lot of people are
- 13:12Speaker 1: using cars because they need to use a car for
- 13:14Speaker 1: one reason or another. And as another person pointed out,
- 13:20Speaker 1: transportation is not up to one person. Everybody should have choices.
- 13:24Speaker 1: You know, where's your freedom of choice? You want to
- 13:28Speaker 1: have a car? You want to have a bike? It
- 13:30Speaker 1: should be a matter of choice, not the government telling
- 13:34Speaker 1: you how you're allowed to get around. Absolutely ridiculous. Hey,
- 13:39Speaker 1: anybody tells you New York is dying? Not the case.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Manhattan rent. You know, the rental market's going crazy in Manhattan.
- 13:47Speaker 1: People are moving here like crazy. Go try to rent
- 13:49Speaker 1: an apartment. You can't do it right now. And if
- 13:50Speaker 1: you can, you can find one. The rent is at
- 13:53Speaker 1: an all-time high. Rent average now is $ 6, 800 a month.
- 14:00Speaker 1: $ 6, 800 a month. Manhattan rent's going crazy. Brooklyn has logged
- 14:04Speaker 1: the busiest September. In six years, people coming to New
- 14:10Speaker 1: York more than ever. Vacancy rate is now 1.5%. Fifth
- 14:17Speaker 1: consecutive year. That's really low. That's incredibly low. That's because
- 14:24Speaker 1: the vacancy rate is minuscule and there's no inventory. Inventory
- 14:28Speaker 1: has now declined year over year for two straight years.
- 14:33Speaker 1: So rental going crazy right now. which means people are
- 14:36Speaker 1: moving here. And remember, people come, all the people renting,
- 14:40Speaker 1: all these people come and rent. Many of them will
- 14:43Speaker 1: start to buy next year. A lot of people who
- 14:45Speaker 1: are renting are trying out a place, a city. And
- 14:49Speaker 1: then if they like it a year, two years, they
- 14:51Speaker 1: decide to buy. So when the rental market goes crazy,
- 14:54Speaker 1: it means the buying market will go crazy next year
- 14:56Speaker 1: and the year after. Hey, we'll take some calls next.
- 14:59Speaker 1: 800-321-0710 is the number. Give me a call, especially if
- 15:05Speaker 1: you're a new caller.
- 15:06Speaker 5: 800-321-0710.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Now 9 till noon weekdays.
- 15:12Speaker 4: Mark Simone.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Only on 710WOR. Hey, in Huntington, Long Island, there's a
- 15:20Speaker 1: great Italian restaurant, Posto Pozzo. I love this place. It's
- 15:23Speaker 1: owned by two brothers, Joey Patron, Luigi Patron. Luigi sends
- 15:28Speaker 1: me a note here. He's in Starbucks this morning. And
- 15:32Speaker 1: there's these kids yelling and screaming about the price of gas.
- 15:35Speaker 1: It's $ 4 a gallon. They can't believe it. Outrage, it's
- 15:38Speaker 1: $ 4 a gallon. He then watches them pay $ 7. 50 for
- 15:41Speaker 1: a coffee, $ 7. 50 for some fancy coffee, 20 ounces. So
- 15:50Speaker 1: he figured it out. If you bought Starbucks by the gallon,
- 15:54Speaker 1: it's $ 42 a gallon. So they're outraged. Gas is $ 4
- 15:59Speaker 1: a gallon. but they don't mind paying $ 42 a gallon
- 16:05Speaker 1: for a Starbucks. Speaking of Huntington, let's go to Eddie
- 16:08Speaker 1: in Huntington. Eddie, how you doing?
- 16:10Speaker 6: Hey, good morning, Mark. Just in regards to that shooting
- 16:14Speaker 6: with ice, I don't know what the federal guidelines are,
- 16:17Speaker 6: but I was in the police department 36 years. And
- 16:20Speaker 6: the only time we could shoot a vehicle coming out
- 16:22Speaker 6: of it, if they were using something, a deadly physical
- 16:25Speaker 6: force other than the vehicle, we couldn't get out of
- 16:27Speaker 6: the way. So in other words, If they had a
- 16:29Speaker 6: gun and they were shooting at us, we could fire back.
- 16:32Speaker 6: But if they were coming at us with just a vehicle,
- 16:33Speaker 6: we'd have to try and move.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Yeah, you try and move. Where are you a cop?
- 16:38Speaker 1: New York City?
- 16:39Speaker 6: Yeah, 36 years. And the other issue for us was
- 16:42Speaker 6: if you're fighting that vehicle, you killed a guy. What's
- 16:45Speaker 6: going to happen to the vehicle after he's dead? Run
- 16:48Speaker 6: into a store, a bunch of old ladies. So hopefully
- 16:50Speaker 6: that video shows that those officers couldn't get out of
- 16:53Speaker 6: the way.
- 16:53Speaker 1: That would be the issue, I think. All right. Good point.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Good point. We'll see. Now, DHS says they will release
- 16:59Speaker 1: the body cam video and that we'll see it. Let's
- 17:02Speaker 1: go to Phil, Suffolk County. Phil, how are you doing?
- 17:05Speaker 5: Hello, Mark.
- 17:06Speaker 7: Thanks for taking my call. Anybody who saw that Michigan
- 17:10Speaker 7: Senate debate between Ayed and Rogers, Rogers accounted himself very well.
- 17:17Speaker 7: He tied... Syed to, you know, Hamas and Hezbollah. And, well,
- 17:24Speaker 7: Syed is a little, you know, he's eloquent, but Ed
- 17:27Speaker 7: Rollins must have a soft spot in his head to
- 17:30Speaker 7: not agree that Rogers is going to win.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Well, right now it's neck and neck. He did very
- 17:36Speaker 1: well in the debate. Here's Rogers.
- 17:38Speaker 3: What my friend here just wants to do is he's
- 17:40Speaker 3: kind of like a glitchy AI chatbot is say the
- 17:43Speaker 3: same thing over and over and over again. But let
- 17:46Speaker 3: me tell you this. He has taken money. from groups
- 17:49Speaker 3: associated and support the Muslim Brotherhood. He has taken money
- 17:53Speaker 3: from individuals on his campaign who openly support Hamas, Hezbollah, Al-Qaeda.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Yeah, now there's a lot of radical stuff in parts
- 18:03Speaker 1: of Michigan, you know, Dearborn, Ann Arbor. But the whole
- 18:07Speaker 1: state of Michigan is pretty sane and mostly Midwestern kind
- 18:12Speaker 1: of conservative. So Rogers most likely will win. Let's go
- 18:15Speaker 1: to Daniel in Westchester. Daniel, how are you doing?
- 18:20Speaker 5: Hi, Mark.
- 18:20Speaker 7: Everybody should realize the Jews are the indigenous people of
- 18:24Speaker 7: the Middle East.
- 18:25Speaker 4: The Muslims are the invaders.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I keep forgetting to call them that. They are
- 18:30Speaker 1: the indigenous people in Israel. Indigenous. Democrats love that word.
- 18:34Speaker 1: That's a good point. Thanks for calling. Marco in New Jersey. Marco,
- 18:39Speaker 1: what do you want to say?
- 18:39Speaker 6: Yeah, I got two things. Hopefully you'll let me say it.
- 18:44Speaker 1: No, give me one. If it's interesting, we might let
- 18:46Speaker 1: you do a second one.
- 18:48Speaker 6: Okay, so the first one is, is Trump a criminal?
- 18:52Speaker 1: All right, that's your last one. Thanks for calling. Let's
- 18:55Speaker 1: go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how are you doing?
- 18:59Speaker 4: Good morning, Mark. Mark, what the retired NYPD police officer
- 19:03Speaker 4: forgot to mention is ICE follows federal guidelines, not New
- 19:08Speaker 4: York City, not New York State guidelines. Mark, this is
- 19:12Speaker 4: another great talking point. I hope you bring it up
- 19:16Speaker 4: with Bruce Blakeman when he comes on. How did this
- 19:19Speaker 4: illegal alien get a driver's license, and how was he
- 19:24Speaker 4: able to register that car? And here's another thing. When
- 19:30Speaker 4: I was coming up, real wise guys never traveled with
- 19:33Speaker 4: their wife and kids because among wise guys, there was
- 19:37Speaker 4: a code of honor. You don't go after each other's
- 19:40Speaker 4: wife and kids. So the wise guys never traveled with
- 19:43Speaker 4: their wife and kids. If this guy was such a fine,
- 19:47Speaker 4: upstanding citizen, that man Mondami would... wants to make him
- 19:50Speaker 4: out to be, what are you doing with that kid
- 19:53Speaker 4: in your car? And when people say, gang affiliated, give
- 19:57Speaker 4: me a break. Well, when I was young and you heard, oh,
- 20:00Speaker 4: this person was affiliated with Lucky Luciano, Al Capone, that
- 20:05Speaker 4: meant that they were in the life, Mark. That didn't mean.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Well, I guess what they mean, you know, you could
- 20:10Speaker 1: be a maid mob guy and then you could be
- 20:11Speaker 1: what they call an associate, which means they're using you for.
- 20:15Speaker 4: You go do the dirty work and everything. You're one
- 20:18Speaker 4: of the button men and everything.
- 20:20Speaker 3: And.
- 20:22Speaker 4: Block i got sick last night when i'm here in
- 20:26Speaker 4: all of these all race-hustling community organizers training and outrage
- 20:32Speaker 4: at the new as a lot alike magazine reporter once
- 20:35Speaker 4: told me she said the first thing that she did
- 20:39Speaker 4: politicians do and she deleted they hide behind the skirts
- 20:43Speaker 4: of women and children all and it was a five-year-old
- 20:47Speaker 4: child in that car what did that guy happens to
- 20:50Speaker 4: be in the copper because He knew he could also
- 20:53Speaker 4: have been whacked by another criminal who had it in
- 20:57Speaker 4: for him.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Very good points, Vincent. We've got to go for the news,
- 21:00Speaker 1: but excellent points. Great call, as always. Hey, when we
- 21:03Speaker 1: come back, we'll talk to Bruce Blakeman. He's supposed to be— well,
- 21:07Speaker 1: we'll see what he's going to be doing today. It
- 21:09Speaker 1: might be with President Trump. The debate's coming up Tuesday.
- 21:11Speaker 1: We'll ask him about all this next on 710WOR. The
- 21:15Speaker 1: Mark Simone Show, live from the WOR LifeVac studios. Well,
- 21:23Speaker 1: Bruce Blakeman would be the perfect governor for New York.
- 21:25Speaker 1: We're all hoping and praying that he wins. Now, it's
- 21:28Speaker 1: not too late to help his campaign. Go to BlakemanForNewYork.com. Donate, volunteer,
- 21:33Speaker 1: whatever you can do. BlakemanForNewYork.com. Bruce Blakeman, how you doing?
- 21:40Speaker 5: Mark, it's always a pleasure to be with you. I'm
- 21:42Speaker 5: doing great.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Hey, let me ask you this first. Kathy Hochul has
- 21:47Speaker 1: been spending millions of dollars on attack ads against you.
- 21:50Speaker 1: She's running them 24-7. That usually indicates panic on her part.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Has she looked at the internal polling? Is that why
- 21:57Speaker 1: she's doing this?
- 21:59Speaker 5: Well, according to my friends in the Democratic Party, her
- 22:02Speaker 5: hair is on fire because we're in a virtual dead heat.
- 22:06Speaker 5: She never expected to be in that position. She wants
- 22:09Speaker 5: to talk about everything but her record because it's a
- 22:12Speaker 5: record of misery and failure. Think about it. The highest
- 22:15Speaker 5: taxed state in America. utility bill 70% higher than the
- 22:19Speaker 5: national average, and she's the most pro-criminal governor in the
- 22:22Speaker 5: United States of America. Mark, she doesn't want to talk
- 22:25Speaker 5: about her record because she's made everybody miserable.
- 22:27Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Hey, to do these attack ads, they had to do
- 22:31Speaker 1: all kinds of opposition research on you, and apparently the
- 22:34Speaker 1: only thing they found is you're friends with Donald Trump.
- 22:37Speaker 1: It's quite a compliment that that's all they came up with.
- 22:41Speaker 5: It's absolutely hysterical because All she says is Trump, Trump, Trump, MAGA, MAGA, MAGA. Look,
- 22:50Speaker 5: Donald Trump's a friend of mine. But if there's anything
- 22:53Speaker 5: about me that I've demonstrated throughout the years is that
- 22:57Speaker 5: I make my own decisions. I don't take orders from anybody.
- 23:00Speaker 5: I work for you, the taxpayers. That's who I'm beholden to.
- 23:04Speaker 5: So she can say whatever she wants. But the fact
- 23:07Speaker 5: of the matter is I have a record of cutting taxes. U.S.
- 23:10Speaker 5: News and World Report said we have the safest county
- 23:13Speaker 5: in America. And Kathy Hochul doesn't talk about her record
- 23:16Speaker 5: because it's one of failure.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Yeah. Hey, the fact that you're friends with Donald Trump,
- 23:20Speaker 1: the fact that he likes you, wouldn't that mean you
- 23:22Speaker 1: could get more done for New York, more money, more whatever,
- 23:25Speaker 1: than she can?
- 23:27Speaker 5: Well, I'm sure it does. And it's always good, whether
- 23:31Speaker 5: it's a Republican president or a Democratic president, when the
- 23:34Speaker 5: president returns your call and listens to you. So I
- 23:40Speaker 5: plan to use my relationship with the president to get
- 23:45Speaker 5: more for New York, to get our fair share, and
- 23:47Speaker 5: to make sure that we restore our economy here in
- 23:50Speaker 5: New York. Hundreds of thousands of jobs have been lost
- 23:53Speaker 5: in the last year. Hundreds of thousands of people are leaving.
- 23:58Speaker 5: It's just a death spiral right now, Mark, and we've
- 24:02Speaker 5: got to pull out of that death spiral. And I
- 24:05Speaker 5: can assure you, I'm the pilot that can pull us
- 24:07Speaker 5: out of that death spiral.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Well, you've done it for Nassau County. You're considered the
- 24:11Speaker 1: best county executive in America. That's basically the same job
- 24:14Speaker 1: as governor. Hey, the president's schedule has him in Syracuse
- 24:19Speaker 1: later today. Are you going to Syracuse?
- 24:22Speaker 5: I'm on my way to the airport right now.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Oh, okay. So that'll be good. So you're going to
- 24:27Speaker 1: campaign with him?
- 24:29Speaker 5: Yeah, we're going to have a rally in Syracuse. The
- 24:34Speaker 5: people in upstate New York are very excited. They rarely
- 24:38Speaker 5: get a visit from the president of the United States,
- 24:40Speaker 5: so this is very special to them. And you know, Mark,
- 24:44Speaker 5: Kathy Hochul likes to portray me as this right-wing extremist.
- 24:49Speaker 5: You know, I've been endorsed by liberal Democrats because they
- 24:53Speaker 5: know I'm a common-sense person, that I'm a reasonable person.
- 24:58Speaker 5: I mean, Debra Messing is a Democrat, liberal. She's an actress.
- 25:03Speaker 5: She never supports Republicans. She endorsed me. Bonnie Lautenberg, the
- 25:07Speaker 5: widow of Senator Frank Lautenberg. Frank Lautenberg was... a pillar
- 25:12Speaker 5: of the Democratic Party in the United States Senate. His widow,
- 25:16Speaker 5: a Democrat, a liberal, is endorsing me for governor because
- 25:20Speaker 5: their party is not liberal anymore. It's insane. They want
- 25:25Speaker 5: to become a socialist, anti-Semite, anti-Christian, anti-American party. And my
- 25:32Speaker 5: election will actually help the Democratic Party because it'll be
- 25:35Speaker 5: the beginning of the end of the DSA.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Yeah, good point. Hey, Tuesday night is the debate. Kathy
- 25:41Speaker 1: Hochul has turned down all the real TV stations. She's
- 25:44Speaker 1: only agreed to New York One. So what do you
- 25:47Speaker 1: think will happen Tuesday night?
- 25:50Speaker 5: Well, I'm very happy to talk about my record. I'm
- 25:53Speaker 5: sure she's not going to talk about her record. And
- 25:56Speaker 5: I think we'll have some fun. I think it will
- 25:58Speaker 5: be instructive to people who watch or listen. They'll get
- 26:02Speaker 5: to know more about me. They'll get to know more
- 26:04Speaker 5: about her records. which many of them already know because
- 26:08Speaker 5: they tell me they're miserable under Kathy Hochul. So it's
- 26:12Speaker 5: a good opportunity. Hopefully it will be about the issues
- 26:15Speaker 5: affecting New Yorkers, state issues. Kathy Hochul will try and
- 26:19Speaker 5: make it into a food fight. That's not my intention.
- 26:23Speaker 5: My intention is to talk issues. Yeah.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Now it's New York one, very few viewers. The other
- 26:28Speaker 1: problem is it's the most liberal biased Errol Lewis and
- 26:32Speaker 1: very nice guy, but very, very left wing. He's going
- 26:34Speaker 1: to run the debate. That's not a problem. That doesn't
- 26:36Speaker 1: bother you, does it? You can handle that.
- 26:38Speaker 5: It doesn't bother me at all. And probably by the
- 26:40Speaker 5: end of the debate, Errol will be voting for me
- 26:43Speaker 5: as well.
- 26:45Speaker 1: That could be. Hey, the ICE incident yesterday in New York, Mamdani, Tish,
- 26:53Speaker 1: not Tish, Letitia James, all grandstanding like crazy. What do
- 26:58Speaker 1: you think will happen with this? It looks like the
- 27:00Speaker 1: body cam footage will be released.
- 27:03Speaker 5: Well, first of all, I think the question has to
- 27:06Speaker 5: be asked, what was this guy doing in New York?
- 27:09Speaker 5: This is a guy who's a convicted felon. He's an
- 27:13Speaker 5: illegal migrant. He's being charged with drug dealing right now.
- 27:19Speaker 5: He's got another charge for drug dealing and he's got
- 27:22Speaker 5: alleged associations with gangs. And he's an illegal migrant. What
- 27:27Speaker 5: is he doing in New York? Kathy Hochul's caused this
- 27:30Speaker 5: problem by creating us by creating a sanctuary state, which
- 27:34Speaker 5: is like a magnet to steel, for every illegal migrant
- 27:37Speaker 5: with a criminal record because Kathy Hochul won't let local
- 27:41Speaker 5: law enforcement cooperate with ICE. If NYPD was cooperating with ICE,
- 27:46Speaker 5: I guarantee you, this probably would never have happened.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Yeah. Hey, explain, in Nassau County, you've had no problems
- 27:54Speaker 1: because you made sure that the local police cooperated with ICE, right?
- 28:00Speaker 5: We got out. illegal migrants with criminal records ranging from murder,
- 28:04Speaker 5: attempted murder, rape, robbery, burglary, drug dealing, and gang activity.
- 28:09Speaker 5: We removed them without raiding a school, without raiding a
- 28:12Speaker 5: daycare center, without raiding a hospital, without raiding a church.
- 28:17Speaker 5: It was all smooth and organized and safe. And then
- 28:22Speaker 5: Kathy Hochul said, we can't cooperate with ICE anymore. And
- 28:26Speaker 5: a 14-year-old girl in Nassau County was raped. by an
- 28:31Speaker 5: illegal migrant. Kathy Hochul, you have blood on your hands.
- 28:36Speaker 5: That is something that should never be tolerated. And yet
- 28:40Speaker 5: you allow these people to remain in our state.
- 28:42Speaker 6: Shame on you.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Hey, Bruce Blakeman, you were like 20 points behind now
- 28:47Speaker 1: in the latest polling. I'm talking about the real polls,
- 28:49Speaker 1: not the public ones, the real polls. You're neck and neck.
- 28:51Speaker 1: You're both within the margin of error. But in this
- 28:55Speaker 1: other polling, Apparently, you have the big majority with independents.
- 28:59Speaker 1: What does that mean? Isn't that the key to winning independents?
- 29:03Speaker 5: Yeah, listen, I've consistently had a majority of independent men
- 29:07Speaker 5: and women supporting me. You can't believe these woke university polls,
- 29:12Speaker 5: many of which are funded by the state. And who
- 29:16Speaker 5: controls the state? Kathy Hochul. So you can't believe them.
- 29:20Speaker 5: We've seen a number of polls that show we're in
- 29:23Speaker 5: a statistical dead heat. So I am very confident that
- 29:28Speaker 5: if everybody gets out to vote and everybody does their part,
- 29:32Speaker 5: that I will be the next governor of the state
- 29:34Speaker 5: of New York.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Okay, but I hope you will. We really hope so.
- 29:38Speaker 1: When they say a Republican can never win, didn't they
- 29:41Speaker 1: say that to you in Nassau County, too?
- 29:44Speaker 4: They did.
- 29:45Speaker 5: And here's the thing. Every day, another Democrat comes up
- 29:49Speaker 5: to me and says, Bruce, I'm a lifelong Democrat. I've
- 29:52Speaker 5: never voted for Republicans in my life. I'm voting for
- 29:54Speaker 5: you this year. Because people are fed up, number one.
- 29:59Speaker 5: Number two... People say, well, how can a Republican win
- 30:03Speaker 5: in a blue state? And I reply, how can Kathy
- 30:07Speaker 5: Hochul win when her unfavorables are anywhere between 50 to
- 30:12Speaker 5: 60 percent of the people think that she's doing a
- 30:15Speaker 5: terrible job and don't like her? So I believe those
- 30:19Speaker 5: people are going to come out on Election Day and
- 30:22Speaker 5: vote for me because they're fed up with her.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Is it really a blue state if you go north
- 30:26Speaker 1: of New York City? How blue is it?
- 30:30Speaker 5: It ain't very blue north of Westchester, I can tell
- 30:32Speaker 5: you that. But listen, even in the blue parts, you know,
- 30:37Speaker 5: Erie County is a blue county. The last poll that
- 30:40Speaker 5: was done up there, I didn't do the poll. It's
- 30:43Speaker 5: not my poll. The last poll that was done, 45 Blakeman,
- 30:47Speaker 5: 45 Hochul.
- 30:49Speaker 4: Okay?
- 30:50Speaker 5: That's Kathy Hochul's hometown, Buffalo. We're dead even. With 10% undecided,
- 30:55Speaker 5: the undecided generally break against the incumbent. We're going to
- 30:59Speaker 5: win Erie County. We're going to beat her in Buffalo,
- 31:01Speaker 5: her hometown. She's booed at Buffalo Bill games.
- 31:05Speaker 1: All right, Bruce Blakeman. Now, what do you want people
- 31:08Speaker 1: to do? Your website is BlakemanForNewYork.com. But what would you
- 31:12Speaker 1: like people listening to do for you right now?
- 31:13Speaker 5: Donate, donate, donate. Give us a donation, whatever you can afford.
- 31:18Speaker 5: It's expensive to stay on TV, social media, radio, and
- 31:21Speaker 5: all the other outlets. Donate to the campaign, BlakemanForNewYork.com, BlakemanForNewYork.com.
- 31:28Speaker 5: Get a lawn sign.
- 31:29Speaker 4: Put it up.
- 31:30Speaker 5: Also, make a list of people. Make sure they get
- 31:33Speaker 5: out to vote. The reason why Mondami's mayor is a
- 31:36Speaker 5: lot of good people didn't vote in New York City.
- 31:38Speaker 5: He didn't have a big victory. There was low turnout.
- 31:41Speaker 5: Get out to vote.
- 31:42Speaker 1: All right, very important. The website is BlakemanForNewYork.com, BlakemanForNewYork.com. We'll
- 31:49Speaker 1: be watching later today in Syracuse, big events coming up
- 31:52Speaker 1: for you today. Bruce Blakeman, good luck. Thanks for being
- 31:55Speaker 1: with us.
- 31:57Speaker 5: Well, God bless you, and thank you, Mark. You're a
- 31:59Speaker 5: good friend.
- 31:59Speaker 4: All right.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Take care. Yeah, everybody help out. Go to BlakemanForNewYork.com. It's
- 32:05Speaker 1: neck and neck in the real polls. That's where you
- 32:07Speaker 1: need to turn out. You need to donate. You need
- 32:10Speaker 1: to do all that stuff. Hey, coming up at noon today,
- 32:14Speaker 1: Buck Sexton and Clay Travis. They do a great show
- 32:16Speaker 1: every day at 12 noon. 3 o'clock, you've got the
- 32:19Speaker 1: most listened to radio show in America, Sean Hannity. You
- 32:22Speaker 1: got Jesse Kelly at six, the very funny Jimmy Fela,
- 32:26Speaker 1: nine o'clock. I'm here three hours now, three hours every day,
- 32:30Speaker 1: nine to noon every day. And then don't forget. From
- 32:34Speaker 1: 6 to 9, it's Curtis Lewa and Larry Mendte. It's
- 32:38Speaker 1: all here on 710WOR. What's better than two hours of
- 32:43Speaker 1: Mark Simone? Three. The Mark Simone Show. Now 9 till
- 32:47Speaker 1: noon weekdays.
- 32:51Speaker 6: 710WOR.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Hey, first hour, we were talking about the Nobel Peace Prize,
- 32:56Speaker 1: which has no validity at all. It's a left-wing, biased,
- 33:00Speaker 1: crazy award. And President Trump, you know, saying, I should
- 33:03Speaker 1: get it. I settled five wars. I got the hostages released. Well,
- 33:07Speaker 1: normally that's what you'd get a Nobel Peace Prize for.
- 33:10Speaker 1: But it's a left-wing crazy award. Well, they gave it
- 33:13Speaker 1: to this idiot from the U.N., Navi Pillay. Now, the
- 33:19Speaker 1: president putting up a really tough tweet about the Nobel
- 33:23Speaker 1: Committee shamed itself beyond repair, demeaned the once great Nobel
- 33:27Speaker 1: Peace Prize award. by giving it to this hater of
- 33:30Speaker 1: America and Israel. And he goes into her background, apparently,
- 33:34Speaker 1: and she's with one of these fake international criminal court,
- 33:37Speaker 1: fake made-up courts. And he points out, in her position,
- 33:41Speaker 1: she celebrated terrorists, rewarded Hamas, conducted a phony investigation, claiming
- 33:48Speaker 1: Israel committed genocide, and urging prosecution of Israel. Well, that's
- 33:53Speaker 1: how she got the Nobel Peace Prize. I hate to
- 33:55Speaker 1: break it to you, but that's the way it works.
- 34:00Speaker 1: He said, what can you expect from a committee that
- 34:03Speaker 1: also gave the Peace Prize to Yasser Arafat? It's a
- 34:06Speaker 1: very anti-Semitic award. Anyway, we're out of time. Hey, don't forget,
- 34:11Speaker 1: if you're a podcast listener, on the weekends, we do
- 34:15Speaker 1: an extra show. If you listen to the podcast, some
- 34:17Speaker 1: people hear the show that way. They can't listen nine
- 34:21Speaker 1: to noon. So instead of listening live, they get the podcast. Well,
- 34:23Speaker 1: if we're one of those podcast listeners... You get a
- 34:26Speaker 1: bonus show on the weekends, an extra show that's never
- 34:29Speaker 1: on the air. So check it. And you can get
- 34:31Speaker 1: the show, the podcast, any place you get your podcasts. Otherwise,
- 34:36Speaker 1: we're on the air 9 to noon, 9 to noon
- 34:38Speaker 1: every weekday. I'll be back Monday at 9. Have a
- 34:41Speaker 1: great weekend. Take care.
- 34:43Speaker 5: 710-W-O-L.
