- 0:12Speaker 1: Julius Jones, a single setback Matt Pumpecks looking at the
- 0:14Speaker 1: goal line. He throws it into the end zone. Touchdown,
- 0:17Speaker 1: Saint Hawks. It's Michael Bumpas with a diving catching the
- 0:21Speaker 1: end zone our ten yard touchdown reception for Puppas and
- 0:25Speaker 1: the kid out of Washington State has found himself a
- 0:29Speaker 1: place on this team. Powered by Seahawks dot Com. Welcome
- 0:34Speaker 1: to Hawk Talk recap. Addition, Seahawks fall to the Vikings
- 0:38Speaker 1: thirty to seventeen. Sad day in Seattle. But me and
- 0:43Speaker 1: Nasa Choby are gonna break this down Nobray Roberts today,
- 0:45Speaker 1: he's had some things to do. Let's get right into
- 0:47Speaker 1: what had happened. See what had happened at First World.
- 0:52Speaker 1: What had happened was on Hawk Talk. What had happened?
- 0:58Speaker 1: The Seahawks lose consecutive games for the first time since
- 1:02Speaker 1: Week nine and ten and twenty twenty, only the ten
- 1:04Speaker 1: time in Russell Wilson's career. The Seahawks have lost back
- 1:08Speaker 1: to back games, and it kind of felt like last
- 1:11Speaker 1: week Nasa Choby. First half was good offenses, rolling defense
- 1:15Speaker 1: is doing his thing. Second half comes around. It's crazy.
- 1:18Speaker 1: One possession in the third quarter for back to back
- 1:21Speaker 1: weeks for this offense, and then the opposing offense gets going.
- 1:26Speaker 1: First half, DK gets the football three times in the
- 1:29Speaker 1: first drive. Boom, he scores a touchdown. We're thinking he's
- 1:32Speaker 1: getting involved. Chris Carson has a play thirty yard touchdown
- 1:35Speaker 1: of outside zoolock. Boom, he gets going. Everything felt good,
- 1:39Speaker 1: but then you going at halftime, you come back out
- 1:42Speaker 1: and things seem to change. Yeah. Man, it's it's disappointing
- 1:45Speaker 1: that that kind of happened two weeks in a row,
- 1:47Speaker 1: and it's and it shows you that something's there. They're
- 1:50Speaker 1: obviously doing things right. I mean, defenses are having a
- 1:53Speaker 1: really tough time stopping the Seattle team. The Colts, the Titans,
- 1:56Speaker 1: and the Vikings all gave up big plays in the
- 1:59Speaker 1: first half the Seattle Seahawks, but bump would happened. Man,
- 2:02Speaker 1: This game came down the time of possession. For the
- 2:04Speaker 1: second week in a row, the Seahawks lost the time
- 2:06Speaker 1: of possession battle, and in a big way. Vikings dominated
- 2:09Speaker 1: time possession thirty five minutes fifty three seconds to the
- 2:11Speaker 1: Seahawks twenty four minutes and seven seconds. And it's really
- 2:15Speaker 1: hard to win ball against. We don't have the ball
- 2:17Speaker 1: in the second half, and there's there's blame to go
- 2:20Speaker 1: on every it's a team loss, so there's blame to
- 2:22Speaker 1: go on each side of the ball. But bump. The
- 2:25Speaker 1: big issue right right now, at least that jumps out
- 2:27Speaker 1: of me initially, is what happened with the Vikings man.
- 2:29Speaker 1: They were able to sustain drives the entire game, scored
- 2:33Speaker 1: on six of eight possessions, only punted twice. They went touchdown, punt, touchdown, touchdown,
- 2:39Speaker 1: field goal, field goal, field goal, punt, and all their
- 2:41Speaker 1: drives in the second half for long ones. Man long
- 2:44Speaker 1: drives had drives of sixteen plays for fifty yards, eleven
- 2:48Speaker 1: plays for seventy yards, twelve plays for eighty eight yards.
- 2:51Speaker 1: That shows you right there they were in complete control
- 2:53Speaker 1: of the game. Offensively, they put up four hundred and
- 2:56Speaker 1: fifty three yards. Kirk cousins Man continues to be system
- 3:00Speaker 1: thirty of thirty eight three hundred twenty two twenty three
- 3:03Speaker 1: yards three touchdowns and also no Dalvin Cook. Don't worry
- 3:06Speaker 1: about it. We got a backup who's gonna do his thing.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Alexander Madison rest for one hundred and twelve yards twenty
- 3:11Speaker 1: six carries. And they also got it going in the
- 3:13Speaker 1: pass game with a special receiver they got over there. Yeah, man,
- 3:16Speaker 1: Justin Jefferson had nine receptions, one hundred and eighteen yards
- 3:19Speaker 1: and one touchdowns. And the big thing for the Vikings,
- 3:21Speaker 1: they were incredibly successful on third down. They went nine
- 3:24Speaker 1: to fourteen, converting on sixty four percent. That's way too
- 3:27Speaker 1: high for the Seahawks defense. And on the flip side,
- 3:29Speaker 1: the Seahawks were only three of eight thirty seven percent.
- 3:33Speaker 1: And sometimes you can look at third downs at least offensively.
- 3:35Speaker 1: If you're not getting into third down a bunch, that's
- 3:38Speaker 1: a good sign. Yeah, But when you're when you just
- 3:40Speaker 1: don't have a lot of opportunities, it's not great Seahawks.
- 3:42Speaker 1: And when we converted thirty seven percent of the time,
- 3:45Speaker 1: Vikings had seventy three total plays, the Seahawks had fifty two.
- 3:48Speaker 1: And buttman, the Seahawks you mentioned earlier, they got things
- 3:51Speaker 1: going redheart start, everything is flashing and you score seventeen
- 3:54Speaker 1: points in the first three drives. You're up seventeen to seven.
- 3:57Speaker 1: You're thinking, okay, the Seahawks were bouncing back. They're doing
- 3:59Speaker 1: everything that they need to do. The problem was the
- 4:02Speaker 1: remaining possessions of the game. They went miss field goal,
- 4:06Speaker 1: end of half, punt, punt downs, end of half. I mean,
- 4:11Speaker 1: it's hard when you don't possess the ball. So it's
- 4:13Speaker 1: it's on both sides. The defense needs to do a
- 4:15Speaker 1: better job of getting off the field. I mean those
- 4:17Speaker 1: long drive sixteen plays, eleven plays, twelve plays, that's too much.
- 4:20Speaker 1: And offensively, you have two drives in the second half
- 4:22Speaker 1: where you go five plays, and you know it's a
- 4:25Speaker 1: joint effort because those guys got to say on the
- 4:27Speaker 1: field as well, defense gotta get off. So it's man,
- 4:30Speaker 1: it's it's it's disappointing, and it's tough. We know these
- 4:32Speaker 1: guys are really good football players and a talent team, coaches,
- 4:36Speaker 1: staff works hard, but they just got to get out
- 4:38Speaker 1: of this funk a little bit and figure out how
- 4:39Speaker 1: they can do better in the second half and coming
- 4:41Speaker 1: out of the locker room at halftime when you were down,
- 4:44Speaker 1: like the Seahawks were laying the game. You become one dimensional, right,
- 4:47Speaker 1: you have to throw the football. You can't get Chris
- 4:49Speaker 1: Carson in ball dun though he looks really good in
- 4:52Speaker 1: the first half. You have to throw the football down
- 4:54Speaker 1: the field and that allows the opposing defense to really
- 4:56Speaker 1: sit back and just wait for you. Look, we're gonna
- 4:58Speaker 1: send the pressure. We're gonna sit back in his own
- 5:00Speaker 1: because we know exactly what you're gonna do when when
- 5:03Speaker 1: you were behind. You're right, it is a team loss.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Some adjustments needs to be made, and I'm pretty sure
- 5:07Speaker 1: we're gonna see some tweaks in this offense, defense, and
- 5:09Speaker 1: probably in personnel as well. Disappointing loss these vikings. Going
- 5:15Speaker 1: into this game, we said that we're a good one
- 5:17Speaker 1: two team. You look at that record and say, oh,
- 5:19Speaker 1: they're owing two. They should be done. Now. Man, they
- 5:20Speaker 1: have some guys on that side of the football, and
- 5:23Speaker 1: they definitely showed him. But through all this, we still
- 5:25Speaker 1: got some playmakers for the Seahawks. Playmakers. Yes, we do
- 5:39Speaker 1: have some playmakers, like we could do every single week
- 5:41Speaker 1: and usually where we start Russell Wilson twenty three for
- 5:45Speaker 1: thirty two, two ninety eight yards in one touchdown. With
- 5:48Speaker 1: that touchdown pass Russell Wilson passed Joe Montana for eighteenth
- 5:52Speaker 1: place on the NFL's all time passing touchdown list with
- 5:55Speaker 1: two hundred and seventy four yards or touchdowns, which is
- 5:58Speaker 1: an incredible accomplishment. Anytime you passed Joe Montana on any list,
- 6:02Speaker 1: you're obviously doing something well. We know Russell Wilson will
- 6:05Speaker 1: have a gold jacket, you know, down the road. He
- 6:07Speaker 1: also passed Brett Fire for eighth place for most passing
- 6:10Speaker 1: yards in the quarterback's first ten seasons in NFL history,
- 6:13Speaker 1: now up to thirty four thousand, eight hundred and forty
- 6:16Speaker 1: one yards. Russell played well, I mean it wasn't It
- 6:20Speaker 1: wasn't the game where it's the best game we've seen
- 6:22Speaker 1: him play, and it was nowhere near a poor effort
- 6:25Speaker 1: from him. He got the job done. He put the
- 6:27Speaker 1: Seahawks in position for the most part. Second half, it
- 6:31Speaker 1: was tough. There was one play where he was getting
- 6:33Speaker 1: pressure up the middle and just miss Freddie Swayin. Wou
- 6:36Speaker 1: could have extended a drive. But again they just didn't
- 6:38Speaker 1: have a lot of opportunities in the second half. But
- 6:40Speaker 1: Russell Wilson is still playing consistent. Another big thing he's
- 6:43Speaker 1: not turning the ball over, which is keeping the Seahawks
- 6:46Speaker 1: in games. Yeah, it's not gonna valu you with these numbers,
- 6:49Speaker 1: but twenty three for thirty two to ninety eight one touchdown,
- 6:53Speaker 1: You think you're in this ball game? Like you said,
- 6:55Speaker 1: Miss Freddie Swayin on a crucial third down, had a
- 6:58Speaker 1: bunch of pressure there. It was a game of missus right, Like,
- 7:01Speaker 1: you play good enough to be in the game, but
- 7:03Speaker 1: when it's time to make a play, something just doesn't
- 7:05Speaker 1: go right and they could not get it done. End
- 7:07Speaker 1: of the day, I will take this game from Russell Wilson.
- 7:09Speaker 1: We just have to capitalize on those crucial moments, all right.
- 7:12Speaker 1: DK Metcalf six receptions, one hundred and seven yards one touchdown,
- 7:16Speaker 1: only had one cast for nineteen yards in the second
- 7:19Speaker 1: half though. All right, but with the score that he had,
- 7:21Speaker 1: Metcalf now ranks ninth in franchise history with nineteen receiving touchdowns.
- 7:26Speaker 1: The Seahawks they said, we're gonna get this dude the
- 7:29Speaker 1: ball early. It's been two weeks. It's been the Tyler
- 7:31Speaker 1: Lockets show, which is fine, which I think he's okay with.
- 7:34Speaker 1: But we all know that you can't hold this man
- 7:36Speaker 1: down for too long. I just wish that those six
- 7:38Speaker 1: passes for one oh seven were extended throughout the whole
- 7:42Speaker 1: game and not necessarily necessarily the big plays in the
- 7:45Speaker 1: first half. But the Vikings did a good job of justin.
- 7:49Speaker 1: They provided pressure and the Seahous offense didn't have the football.
- 7:52Speaker 1: So when you have pressure you don't have the football.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Opportunities are going to be limited for this guy. But
- 7:57Speaker 1: it's nice to see him have his breakout game on
- 7:59Speaker 1: a Fortunately it's with the loss. Yeah, No, it's great
- 8:02Speaker 1: to see DK come out. Like you said, went to
- 8:04Speaker 1: him early and often. He had a lot of great
- 8:06Speaker 1: crutches cooked Patrick Peterson on that one route on the
- 8:09Speaker 1: first drive, I mean, showing what he can do from
- 8:12Speaker 1: a route running ability in a little wiggle after the catch,
- 8:15Speaker 1: big strong guy on the touchdown pass, catches the ball,
- 8:17Speaker 1: beats the corner to the pylon. So I'd love to
- 8:19Speaker 1: see that from DK metcalf. We knew it was a
- 8:21Speaker 1: matter of time. Shane Waldron talked about it. DK talked
- 8:24Speaker 1: about you can't you can't hold this man down, and
- 8:26Speaker 1: I know there was a lot of conversation about, you know,
- 8:28Speaker 1: whether he's a hothead or he can't control his emotions.
- 8:31Speaker 1: I mean, let's just stop with all that. Man. He
- 8:33Speaker 1: had one unsports from light against the Colts and the
- 8:35Speaker 1: other two penalties against Titans were aggressive players blocking in
- 8:38Speaker 1: the run game. He had a great block on Chris
- 8:40Speaker 1: Carson's touchdown, and we'll talk about it a little bit later,
- 8:42Speaker 1: but DK was balling out. He's shown a lot of
- 8:44Speaker 1: maturity and I'm in, I'm really the sky's the limit
- 8:49Speaker 1: for this kid, and I'm really excited to see what
- 8:50Speaker 1: he's gonna do moving forward this year. Especially you know,
- 8:52Speaker 1: sometimes DK entire locket rote he's gonna have a big game,
- 8:56Speaker 1: and DK showed up and showed out. Chris Carson a
- 8:58Speaker 1: bump twelve carries, eighty yards, one touchdown, only two carries
- 9:03Speaker 1: for six yards and the second half, obviously sticking with
- 9:05Speaker 1: the theme that we've talked about, when you don't possess
- 9:07Speaker 1: the ball in the second half of games, it's hard
- 9:09Speaker 1: to get Chris Carson the rock. With that touchdown though,
- 9:12Speaker 1: from Chris, he ranks eighth and franchise history and rush
- 9:16Speaker 1: yards in just a couple of seasons, so it's great
- 9:17Speaker 1: to see from Chris and man Bump, I loved what
- 9:21Speaker 1: we saw in the first half, Carson got things going.
- 9:24Speaker 1: I love what we saw from the offensive line. There's
- 9:26Speaker 1: a couple of plays where you got Damian Lewis. I
- 9:28Speaker 1: think with Damian Lewis and Dwayne Brown pulling, there's a
- 9:31Speaker 1: lot of there's a misdirection. Things are opening up. So
- 9:34Speaker 1: there's good things there. We've seen what they can do.
- 9:36Speaker 1: And I think, you know, Jamarco Jones is battling an
- 9:40Speaker 1: illness throughout the game. Um Jake Kurhan stepped in and
- 9:43Speaker 1: kind of was rotating in with him. Obviously, the Seahawks
- 9:45Speaker 1: were without Brandon Shell in the run game, but they
- 9:48Speaker 1: were doing some things right. I mean it's all there.
- 9:51Speaker 1: The bread comes are there, the dots are there. We
- 9:52Speaker 1: just got to connect him well in second half. Moving forward, Yeah,
- 9:55Speaker 1: Chris Carson looked good in that first half. He looked
- 9:57Speaker 1: fast on that touchdown. We're gonna break down pretty pretty
- 10:00Speaker 1: soon here. Look really good. You mentioned that guard tackle
- 10:03Speaker 1: pulled by Damien and Dwayne Brown. They were getting a
- 10:06Speaker 1: field and he was getting tough yards as well. You
- 10:08Speaker 1: know they were. Yes, he had a couple big runs,
- 10:10Speaker 1: but he was getting those two three yard games and
- 10:12Speaker 1: just imposing his will on the defense. Just when you're
- 10:15Speaker 1: down taking half, you're not gonna be able to run
- 10:16Speaker 1: the ball a lot. So I don't think he's too upset.
- 10:19Speaker 1: I think he understands the situation. Next we got Daryl
- 10:22Speaker 1: Taylor six tackles, one sack. He had the only sack
- 10:25Speaker 1: that the Seahawks had last week against the Vikings, nicest
- 10:29Speaker 1: seed DT getting in the mix. I think this defense
- 10:33Speaker 1: needs to produce more sacks, but at least they didn't
- 10:36Speaker 1: go sack less. I will take a sack, and it's
- 10:39Speaker 1: the team effort. Man. They gotta find ways to be
- 10:41Speaker 1: creative on that defensive line to provide pressure. And when
- 10:44Speaker 1: you do provide pressure, you gotta drop back into your
- 10:47Speaker 1: zones to be disciplines well on the back end. It's
- 10:49Speaker 1: it's the puzzle, and people don't realize it's a puzzle, right.
- 10:52Speaker 1: You gotta fit the a gap, you gotta you gotta
- 10:54Speaker 1: drop into the flat. You gotta make sure you're good
- 10:56Speaker 1: over the top. There are a lot of things that
- 10:58Speaker 1: happened to make sacks happen as well, because when you
- 11:00Speaker 1: send that pressure, you gotta be solid on that back end.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Yeah no, And it's like you can mentioned one sack.
- 11:07Speaker 1: That's good that Darryl Taylor is kind of still showing
- 11:09Speaker 1: here and there. He's got a couple of sacks on
- 11:10Speaker 1: the season, a little active with six with six tackles defensively,
- 11:15Speaker 1: you know, he was the one that kind of sit
- 11:16Speaker 1: out for meum Jamal Adams finished the game with twelve tackles.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Bobby Wadner had eleven, Trey Flowers at seven, John Brooks
- 11:22Speaker 1: at seven, Ulamati had six. You know, Quandry Dick said five.
- 11:25Speaker 1: So there were some place made defensively, not as not
- 11:29Speaker 1: as much as you'd like to see from from that group.
- 11:32Speaker 1: And you know, I think they're gonna bounce back strong
- 11:34Speaker 1: against the forty nine ers because you know, it's a
- 11:36Speaker 1: huge ball game when you're one and two in the
- 11:38Speaker 1: division and those guys have been winning games. So we'll
- 11:41Speaker 1: get into that, but I expect a huge bounce back
- 11:43Speaker 1: effort from the defensive players moving into next week. Now,
- 11:46Speaker 1: bump Man receiver roundup. We mentioned it first. DK Metcalf
- 11:49Speaker 1: six receptions, one hundred and seven yards, one touchdown, seventeen
- 11:53Speaker 1: yards per catch on nine targets. Yeah, DK look good.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Nine targets, six catches, one hundred and seven one touchdown.
- 11:59Speaker 1: We'll take that. Gerald Everett got involved this week. Five catches,
- 12:02Speaker 1: fifty four yards on five targets. Travis Homer forty eight
- 12:06Speaker 1: yards on three catches. Will this he get some one
- 12:09Speaker 1: for thirty nine Tyler Lockett, Thank goodness he is healthy
- 12:12Speaker 1: for the move. Most party might be banged up. His
- 12:14Speaker 1: knee got twisted up a bit. We were shook for
- 12:16Speaker 1: a big can'ton lose number sixteen. He had four for
- 12:18Speaker 1: thirty one. Freddy Swain one for ten, Penny Hard one
- 12:21Speaker 1: for seven yards, and then Chris Carson two for two yards.
- 12:25Speaker 1: That's the receiver round up. Let's go into the coach's corner,
- 12:28Speaker 1: all right, in the coach's corner. We alluded to it
- 12:30Speaker 1: coming into the game or coming into the podcast. Chris
- 12:32Speaker 1: Carson a nice thirty yard touchdown ball. It's the thirty
- 12:35Speaker 1: of the Viking's gonna turn a hand of Carson. Big
- 12:37Speaker 1: hole down to the twenty, down to fifteen ten Don
- 12:41Speaker 1: Carson ten touchdown, Seahawks. Chris Carson into the tunnel. He
- 12:46Speaker 1: may be heading to Saint Paul. What a run by
- 12:49Speaker 1: Carson thirty yards for a touchdown. The Seahawks on top.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Now sixteen to seven. Yeah, I look at that play.
- 12:56Speaker 1: It's beautiful. It really all starts with Dwayne Brown. This
- 12:58Speaker 1: is an outside zone, means he's trying. Usually you press
- 13:01Speaker 1: the B gapp on inside zone, you look for that cutback.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Now that's straight outside zone, you go towards your tackle.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Dwayne Brown does a great job of selling that end
- 13:09Speaker 1: right there. There's even one point where he takes his
- 13:11Speaker 1: right hand. He lets go with his left hand. It
- 13:14Speaker 1: really shoves the end with his right hand to make
- 13:16Speaker 1: sure he's getting full extension there him. The guards do
- 13:18Speaker 1: a great job of getting on the interior alignment and
- 13:21Speaker 1: then the rest. It's just number thirty two. Man, he
- 13:23Speaker 1: sees a whole and he goes DK just just enough
- 13:26Speaker 1: on the second level with that corner to provide a
- 13:28Speaker 1: bit more space. But I just saw a burst, man,
- 13:31Speaker 1: I ain't seen it in a while from thirty two.
- 13:32Speaker 1: I mean, I guess he hasn't had the opportunity to
- 13:35Speaker 1: show this burst in the last couple of weeks. But
- 13:37Speaker 1: nice play, real simple outside zone. Get it to your guys,
- 13:41Speaker 1: get bodies on bodies. Let thirty two do the rest. Yeah, no,
- 13:44Speaker 1: you mentioned it. Great to see. Dwayne Brown's a key
- 13:47Speaker 1: to this play, like he said, getting the d n
- 13:48Speaker 1: or kicking him out. Carson accelerates, goes to the end
- 13:51Speaker 1: zone and like he said, what I liked about DK
- 13:53Speaker 1: Metcalf on the play is you can allude to this
- 13:56Speaker 1: more than I can be as receiver. You don't need
- 13:58Speaker 1: to get a bone crushing block. You don't need to
- 13:59Speaker 1: take that corner and put him in the stands. You
- 14:01Speaker 1: need to get just enough. And Patrick Peterson's good football player.
- 14:04Speaker 1: DK gets just enough. Peterson tries to turn around and
- 14:07Speaker 1: he's a fast dude, but you're not catching Chris Carson.
- 14:09Speaker 1: It's good to see him get going. And I love
- 14:12Speaker 1: Chris Man. He scores a touchdown. Nothing to see here,
- 14:14Speaker 1: I've been here before, comes out the tunnel, little dap
- 14:18Speaker 1: up here and there, and we're good to go. Man.
- 14:19Speaker 1: But we need to see more of this moving forward,
- 14:22Speaker 1: because we know how special Chris Carson is and the
- 14:25Speaker 1: Seahawks offense really goes when Chris Carson's running, and that
- 14:28Speaker 1: thirty yard touchdown definitely showed. That thirty yard touchdown was beautiful,
- 14:33Speaker 1: one of the rare moments we had last week to celebrate.
- 14:36Speaker 1: We need to see more of that often and early
- 14:39Speaker 1: Unfortunately we didn't get in victor formation this week. The
- 14:42Speaker 1: clock ran out on us an taking them fire Huntley.
- 14:48Speaker 1: They're just gonna let the clock wind down, but Peach
- 14:50Speaker 1: not even gonna bother taking that last time out. Clock
- 14:56Speaker 1: ran out on the Seahawks. It was tough. It was
- 14:58Speaker 1: It was a tough ball game. There's no a really
- 15:00Speaker 1: easy way to put it. Couldn't do enough offense or defense,
- 15:04Speaker 1: and the thing that jumped out again. The Seahawks got
- 15:06Speaker 1: off to another fast start, scoring on the first three drives.
- 15:10Speaker 1: After that, the Seahawks offen installed, scoring zero points in
- 15:12Speaker 1: the second half. Pete Carroll always talks about it. You
- 15:15Speaker 1: can't win the game in the first, second, third. You
- 15:17Speaker 1: can only win the game in the fourth. And the
- 15:19Speaker 1: Seahawks unfortunately starts strong, but couldn't finish strong offensively or
- 15:23Speaker 1: defensively for that matter. This weren't able to get off
- 15:26Speaker 1: the field all afternoon. Vikings dominated time of possession and
- 15:30Speaker 1: scored on six of eight possessions. Two weeks in a
- 15:33Speaker 1: row where the offense cannot get on the field, defense
- 15:36Speaker 1: cannot get off the field. Recipe for disaster right there now.
- 15:39Speaker 1: After leading seventeen to seven, the Vikings scored twenty three
- 15:42Speaker 1: unanswered points. That's like just getting hit with jab after
- 15:46Speaker 1: jab after jab in the fourth quarter, you get hit
- 15:48Speaker 1: with a hook and then we fall unfortunate to see that.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Now the Seahawks will have to find a way to
- 15:53Speaker 1: get off the field. You have to find a way
- 15:55Speaker 1: to get off the field. I don't know if that's
- 15:57Speaker 1: creating more pressure. I don't know if that's decipline in
- 16:00Speaker 1: the secondary. I don't know if it's both. That's what
- 16:03Speaker 1: they're doing this week. They're gonna find a way to
- 16:05Speaker 1: get this defense off the field. Absolutely, and it's only
- 16:08Speaker 1: a matter of time. We can reach as far back
- 16:11Speaker 1: as just last year. The Seahawks started the year in
- 16:14Speaker 1: twenty twenty with one of the worst statistically, one of
- 16:17Speaker 1: the worst defenses of all time, and then they made
- 16:20Speaker 1: that turn in the second half and they were one
- 16:21Speaker 1: of the best defense in the NFL. They were getting
- 16:23Speaker 1: sacks or getting turnovers. And I have one hundred percent
- 16:26Speaker 1: confidence that the Seahawks we can't get back to that.
- 16:28Speaker 1: I think it's worth mentioning. The Seahawks were without defensive
- 16:31Speaker 1: back coach Andre Curtis, who had a health matter to
- 16:34Speaker 1: be back this week. Deshaun chat took over his passing
- 16:37Speaker 1: game coordinator responsibility, so I know that might have had
- 16:39Speaker 1: a little bit of impact of what was going on
- 16:40Speaker 1: on Sunday. But these guys work hard, they're in the
- 16:43Speaker 1: film room. There's going to be a really important tell
- 16:46Speaker 1: the truth Monday today. I know that you guys are
- 16:49Speaker 1: gonna bounce back. And here's the thing, Bump, I'll throw
- 16:51Speaker 1: this out at you man. Russell Wilson Pat Carroll never never, ever, ever,
- 16:57Speaker 1: ever lost three games in a row. Since Russell Wilson
- 17:01Speaker 1: stepped foot in the vMac in the Pacific North, the
- 17:04Speaker 1: last never lost three games in a row. And I
- 17:06Speaker 1: expect a huge effort from these guys coming in this
- 17:08Speaker 1: week against the forty nine ers. I like that stat.
- 17:12Speaker 1: That's encouraging stat. And NAT's never lost three in a row.
- 17:14Speaker 1: They have to bounce back against the forty nine is.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Forty nine Ers lost in the thriller last night to
- 17:18Speaker 1: the Green Bay Packers give Aaron Rodgers with thirty seven
- 17:21Speaker 1: seconds to get down and kick a game winning field goal.
- 17:24Speaker 1: But the Niners show like looked they can put up
- 17:26Speaker 1: points if they can move the football. They also have
- 17:29Speaker 1: the Rams coming up as well. You gotta you get
- 17:32Speaker 1: into the division. Got the Cardinals, two are three and oh,
- 17:35Speaker 1: I mean this division is looking real. It's tough right now,
- 17:37Speaker 1: as we already knew going into this season. So it's
- 17:39Speaker 1: now time to take care of business. Yeah, I understand
- 17:42Speaker 1: you're one and two. You could be down. Hawks fans
- 17:44Speaker 1: do you have the right to be frustrated, But there's
- 17:47Speaker 1: still hope. You got to get into this division, take
- 17:50Speaker 1: care of business and avoid that three game losing streak
- 17:53Speaker 1: for the first time in the Pete care of Russell
- 17:55Speaker 1: Wilson era. Yeah, I have full faith that we're not
- 17:57Speaker 1: going to see that between them. It's a huge week.
- 17:59Speaker 1: I mean, every week's a huge week. That's a great
- 18:01Speaker 1: thing about Pete Carroll system. Every single game is a
- 18:04Speaker 1: huge opportunity, championship opportunity, and it's not going to be easy. Man.
- 18:08Speaker 1: The forty nine ers are coming off a tough loss,
- 18:10Speaker 1: but they got some confidence. The Rams are playing well,
- 18:12Speaker 1: the Cardinals will playing well, and the Seahawks cannot afford
- 18:15Speaker 1: to fall behind two early in the season. A note
- 18:17Speaker 1: seventeen games. You got the extra game, but you can't.
- 18:21Speaker 1: You can't afford to be one in three, one and
- 18:22Speaker 1: four to start the season. Everyone makes sure to listen
- 18:25Speaker 1: to all the podcasts we have across the Seahawks podcast network,
- 18:29Speaker 1: Seahawks Insiders, and make sure you catch the Seahawks Rewind
- 18:32Speaker 1: podcasts of the Seahawks postgame Show with Michael bump Is,

- 18:39Speaker 1: Get to hear from head coach Pete Carroll, players in
- 18:41Speaker 1: the lockerro from Jen Mueller, and expert analysis from the
- 18:43Speaker 1: guys who know the game. Bump the Seahawks fell. It's
- 18:47Speaker 1: time to tell the truth, turn the page and get
- 18:49Speaker 1: back after it. Get back to work, baby, Seahawks fall
- 18:53Speaker 1: to the Vikings on the road thirty to seventeen. They
- 18:56Speaker 1: go on the road again this week to play the
- 19:00Speaker 1: forty nine ers. Let's get things right. Appreciate you guys
- 19:02Speaker 1: taking time out of your day again. That's the Hall
