• 0:45
Speaker 2: all right, Ladies and gentlemen, we.
• 0:48
  Speaker 3: Are here and.
• 0:51
Speaker 4: Obstacles, all kinds of oles. It's cold out, extremely cold.
• 0:56
Speaker 4: I almost feel like this this is getting starting to
• 0:58
Speaker 4: get close in Minnesota weather. I might as well be
• 1:02
Speaker 4: in Minnesota, man. And they're talking about more snow tomorrow.
• 1:06
Speaker 4: Oh gosh, so much for winning a real winner.
• 1:10
Speaker 3: Yeah you got it.
• 1:11
Speaker 4: And more than that, man, There's a couple of really
• 1:16
Speaker 4: interesting kind of conversations that I think we're going to
• 1:22
Speaker 4: explore today. And I think I think a Green Bay quarterback, right, yeah,
• 1:32
Speaker 4: I think I think we start there, you know, and
• 1:34
Speaker 4: we and and we'll go from there to the All
• 1:37
  Speaker 4: Star Games.
• 1:38
Speaker 3: And all of that kind of stuff.
• 1:41
Speaker 4: All I think you have the basis of the story,
• 1:44
Speaker 4: So give us a little bit of background and we
• 1:47
Speaker 4: will absolutely can't wait to dive into and listen probably
• 1:51
Speaker 4: fill me in where I'm missing. So basically, Aaron Rodgers,
• 1:55
Speaker 4: as you know, he's with the Jets, didn't have a
• 1:58
Speaker 4: great season, was hurt us for you're there, so they've
• 2:01
Speaker 4: released him and now he's on the block, so the
• 2:04
Speaker 4: trading not the trading block, but now he's people are
• 2:07
Speaker 4: trying to see if they want to acquire him or not.
• 2:09
Speaker 4: And a lot of the talk has been like Pittsburgh
• 2:11
Speaker 4: Stellers could be a landing home. Some people have mentioned
• 2:14
Speaker 4: in Minnesota Vikings, which it kind of makes more sense
• 2:17
Speaker 4: to me, but would you know.
• 2:19
Speaker 3: I'm to saying it makes more sens.
• 2:22
Speaker 4: Because you know, but you're indoors, right, so you get
• 2:26
Speaker 4: familiar opponents. You're indoors for nine games because you play
• 2:29
Speaker 4: the Detroit lines twice, so nine games indoors, so that
• 2:32
Speaker 4: kind of makes more sense. But overall, I just don't
• 2:36
Speaker 4: understand why anybody would want Aaron Rodgers at this point.
• 2:39
Speaker 4: You're an agent quarterback. You definitely can't run. You're still
• 2:43
Speaker 4: slanging it, but your arms not what it was. And
• 2:44
Speaker 4: you come with all the problems and the things that
• 2:47
Speaker 4: are Aaron Rodgers. So at what point do we just say, like, look,
• 2:51
Speaker 4: thank you for your services, but we're gonna move in
• 2:55
Speaker 4: a younger direction. And I'll say this, that guy in
• 3:00
Speaker 4: the locker room, whether the locker room that he left
• 3:03
Speaker 4: or the locker room that he goes into, the moment
• 3:06
Speaker 4: that he tries to be for the football god right, Like,
• 3:14
Speaker 4: I think what happens in that situation is players take
• 3:19
Speaker 4: offense to it. They don't like him. And I can't
• 3:22
Speaker 4: imagine the new age players who are making you know,
• 3:27
Speaker 4: good money, Why would you want this dude that that
• 3:34
Speaker 4: you already since is an issue. I mean, he's coming
• 3:37
Speaker 4: in as an issue everywhere I think that he has
• 3:40
Speaker 4: gone to. He goes in with an issue, and he
• 3:44
Speaker 4: then in turn, he's going to create a division between
• 3:47
Speaker 4: me and Hollis because Hollis is Ford.
• 3:49
Speaker 3: I'm not for it.
• 3:50
Speaker 4: I don't like him. Hollis likes him. You're thinking, well,
• 3:54
  Speaker 4: let's give him a chance.
• 3:56
Speaker 3: You got and that tears up, tears up a locker room.
• 4:00
Speaker 5: And and correct me if I'm mistaken, but didn't. Wasn't
• 4:04
Speaker 5: he the reason the head coach of the Jets left
• 4:07
  Speaker 5: this past year?
• 4:09
Speaker 3: I forget about that.
• 4:10
Speaker 5: There's the writing on the wall, you know, the way
• 4:13
Speaker 5: he left Green Bay. You know, he was a hero.
• 4:16
  Speaker 5: I'm a Packers fan, so I was. You know, I
• 4:18
Speaker 5: was pro Aaron Rodgers all the way. But the last
• 4:21
Speaker 5: year or two it was a complete It was drama,
• 4:24
Speaker 5: it was a circus. It was just constant. He left
• 4:28
Speaker 5: the team, you know, on the edge of is he
• 4:30
Speaker 5: coming back? Is he not coming back? He played that
• 4:33
Speaker 5: head game with with you know, the GM with with
• 4:35
Speaker 5: the whole team, and then when he did leave for
• 4:38
Speaker 5: the Jets. To be honest, most of the Packer you
• 4:41
Speaker 5: know loyals were like good ridden because I mean it
• 4:45
Speaker 5: was just a toxic. He had gotten to the point
• 4:47
Speaker 5: where he was just so self absorbed that he wasn't
• 4:50
Speaker 5: a team player anymore.
• 4:51
Speaker 6: It was all about Aaron.
• 4:53
Speaker 3: That's where he is now.
• 4:54
Speaker 4: And I just wondered, like, again, if I am a
• 4:57
Speaker 4: team considering bringing Aaron Rodgers in, am I not also
• 5:02
Speaker 4: considering how the position of quarterback has now changed.
• 5:05
Speaker 3: When we look at the.
• 5:06
Speaker 4: Top four quarterbacks when we look at and I'm going
• 5:09
Speaker 4: by the guys who got the furthest I'm going Lamar Jackson,
• 5:12
Speaker 4: Allen Mahomes of Jalen Hurts. These are mobile quarterbacks who
• 5:17
Speaker 4: will have the ability to dial up design run plays,
• 5:21
Speaker 4: can throw it are for the most part, these guys
• 5:24
Speaker 4: aren't ego guys neither, which is surprising.
• 5:27
Speaker 3: Right, these guys are ego guys.
• 5:28
Speaker 4: These guys are team guys at least you know, public facing, right.
• 5:33
Speaker 4: So it's like the nature of the position is totally changed,
• 5:36
Speaker 4: and why would you spend any time, effort or energy
• 5:40
Speaker 4: in bringing a sort of an antiquated version of what
• 5:43
Speaker 4: quarterback is well, And I think what they what I
• 5:46
Speaker 4: think is is they're trying to get leadership. What they're
• 5:50
Speaker 4: thinking is he can bring so leaders so I do.
• 5:56
  Speaker 3: I think. No, I'm not saying he's.
• 5:58
Speaker 4: The guy, but he's His name resonates over the NFL.
• 6:03
Speaker 3: I think they're just trying to get it.
• 6:05
Speaker 4: See if he got one last spark and if you
• 6:08
Speaker 4: already take us far. I think that's what they're thinking.
• 6:10
Speaker 4: If I'm a general manager, okay, not a coach. If
• 6:13
  Speaker 4: I'm a GM and I'm considering this or I'm looking
• 6:18
  Speaker 4: at this situation.
• 6:20
Speaker 3: My homework would be what did he do there? Yeah?
• 6:24
Speaker 3: What did he do there?
• 6:26
  Speaker 4: Right?
• 6:27
  Speaker 3: Where's where's his path to.
• 6:30
Speaker 4: Make me think he can take me anywhere that I
• 6:34
  Speaker 4: haven't already been.
• 6:35
Speaker 3: You're looking at Green Bay? Yeah?
• 6:37
Speaker 6: Well yeah, I mean pretty much Green Bay was it,
• 6:39
  Speaker 6: you know.
• 6:40
Speaker 5: But if you look at his whole body of work
• 6:42
Speaker 5: as a as a quarterback in the past, it's like
• 6:45
Speaker 5: the ghost of Christmas past.
• 6:46
  Speaker 6: We're looking at bat I.
• 6:48
Speaker 5: Mean it's like, you know, he was the hail Mary
• 6:50
Speaker 5: King in his era. You know, he found ways to
• 6:54
Speaker 5: win games and he was exciting to watch at the time.
• 6:57
Speaker 5: But like I said, ghost of Christmas past, we're looking now,
• 7:00
Speaker 5: we're at you know, the present, and I'm not sure
• 7:02
Speaker 5: I think the game has left him. And plus I
• 7:05
Speaker 5: don't think physically he's able to withstand the defenses and
• 7:10
Speaker 5: the pressures that you know, it requires a younger person,
• 7:14
Speaker 5: a younger version of him, to be able to be successful,
• 7:16
  Speaker 5: in my opinion.
• 7:17
Speaker 4: More so an athletic quarterback, yes, and he is not
• 7:22
Speaker 4: that so just to play a game. If we got
• 7:24
Speaker 4: to say, he's got to be somewhere in the league
• 7:27
Speaker 4: next year, where do you think, where do you project
• 7:30
Speaker 4: he could possibly land that would be the best fit
• 7:33
Speaker 4: for the team in himself.
• 7:34
Speaker 3: What's the worst team in the league?
• 7:36
Speaker 4: What Carolina Panthers. That's where he goes. That's where he
• 7:41
Speaker 4: ain't going. There, he is not going. But if you're
• 7:44
Speaker 4: asking me, if what am I going to be looking for?
• 7:47
Speaker 4: If I'm the Panthers and I'm the worst I have
• 7:50
Speaker 4: the worst record, the worst team in the league, I
• 7:53
Speaker 4: got nothing to look anybody else.
• 7:58
Speaker 5: Before you think, make a different path. I think that's
• 8:01
  Speaker 5: that's pretty hilarious.
• 8:02
  Speaker 3: It's funny.
• 8:03
  Speaker 6: It was funny.
• 8:04
Speaker 5: I think, you know, you know, Davonte Adams followed him
• 8:07
Speaker 5: there from the Raiders, and so you know they were thinking, oh,
• 8:11
Speaker 5: you know, the reunion. They're gonna you know, that Spark's
• 8:13
Speaker 5: gonna fly again. They're going to, you know, bring the
• 8:15
Speaker 5: Jets back to glory days. And I feel like there's
• 8:20
Speaker 5: been talking Packer Nation that they want Davonte Adams to
• 8:24
Speaker 5: come to the Packers because Jordan Love needs those receivers,
• 8:27
Speaker 5: those reliable receivers. Although I feel like it's kind of
• 8:30
Speaker 5: he's kind of in the same boat as Aaron Rodgers.
• 8:32
Speaker 6: I feel like age is catching up with him.
• 8:34
Speaker 5: But I just wonder if it's going to be one
• 8:37
Speaker 5: of those deals, if the Packers would approach Let's just say,
• 8:39
Speaker 5: you know, the scenario is that they are interested in Davante.
• 8:42
Speaker 5: The package deal up, okay, but I want Aaron to
• 8:45
  Speaker 5: follow me.
• 8:45
  Speaker 3: No way.
• 8:46
Speaker 6: You don't think you.
• 8:47
Speaker 4: Got a young quarterback in love. He led you to
• 8:49
Speaker 4: the playoffs. I think not just let not this last
• 8:52
Speaker 4: learn a lot he was, but he's a young kid.
• 8:55
Speaker 4: And I don't think you move backwards because Aaron Rodgers.
• 8:58
Speaker 4: He's not gonna be a backup.
• 8:59
Speaker 3: No, I don't think he's going to do that. No,
• 9:01
Speaker 3: he's not gonna want to be a backup.
• 9:03
Speaker 5: Don't you think you'll have to be those somewhere? I
• 9:06
  Speaker 5: mean somewhere wherever you a I don't.
• 9:07
Speaker 3: Think it's he goes.
• 9:09
Speaker 5: No, but I think you'll retire.
• 9:11
Speaker 6: I mean, I really think you should retire.
• 9:13
Speaker 4: There's no question. Now, there's no questioning. I think it's Minnesota.
• 9:18
Speaker 4: And I say, because Sam Donald, I know they're Donaldson,
• 9:21
Speaker 4: they're gonna They're thinking. The talk is he's gonna move on,
• 9:25
  Speaker 4: which I think is a huge mistake. I don't think
• 9:27
Speaker 4: that's what I think they should resign him and then
• 9:30
Speaker 4: work to get your quarterback of the future. But if
• 9:33
Speaker 4: in fact Sam Donaldson moves on, then I think Aaron
• 9:36
Speaker 4: Rodgers goes to Minnesota.
• 9:38
Speaker 3: I think that's fit big a quick fact.
• 9:40
Speaker 4: Yeah, they got a decent offensive line, they got good
• 9:43
Speaker 4: skilled players, they got a solid defense. And I think
• 9:47
Speaker 4: because you're not going to go somewhere If I'm Aaron
• 9:50
Speaker 4: Rodgers where I'm not going to a rebuilding situation, I'm
• 9:52
Speaker 4: not going to do the Jets again. That was his
• 9:54
Speaker 4: first mistake. He should have never went to somewhere where
• 9:57
Speaker 4: now they got to rebuild. You gotta go somewhere where
• 9:58
Speaker 4: it's already happening. Here is my problem with that, that
• 10:03
Speaker 4: that you want him. I don't think so. I'm just
• 10:06
Speaker 4: saying I'm hoping. But if if they do, if they do.
• 10:15
Speaker 3: This again, would follow suit as close to the Herschel
• 10:19
Speaker 3: Walker deal? Yes, it is.
• 10:22
Speaker 4: You ain't giving up nothing for him. You're not giving
• 10:24
Speaker 4: up anything. You're not getting anything. You're gonna lose a
• 10:28
Speaker 4: quarterback that that took you to the playoffs. Yes, and
• 10:34
Speaker 4: you're gonna go to a dude older than me and
• 10:40
Speaker 4: you're gonna expect him to You're gonna expect him to
• 10:43
Speaker 4: take you somewhere. Yeah, I mean, I'm not saying, I
• 10:47
Speaker 4: just I mean, where else does he go? You're not
• 10:49
Speaker 4: going to Arizona, You're not going to the Raiders. You're
• 10:52
Speaker 4: I mean, I know they talked about Safford leaving l
• 10:56
Speaker 4: A that I don't know if that's gonna work for you,
• 10:59
Speaker 4: But I'm just a again, you being an older quarterback,
• 11:02
Speaker 4: you want to go somewhere. It's Comic Control for the
• 11:05
Speaker 4: most part, and you're playing in the familiar division, So I.
• 11:09
Speaker 3: Don't know where you would go.
• 11:11
  Speaker 6: I'm telling you.
• 11:12
Speaker 3: I mean again, they talked about, they talked about.
• 11:17
Speaker 4: They talked about Pittsburgh, but I just think that's that
• 11:20
Speaker 4: would be crazy for Pittsburgh to do that. I mean,
• 11:22
Speaker 4: you might as just keep Russell Wilson if you're going
• 11:23
  Speaker 4: to do that.
• 11:24
Speaker 3: What you know? What? What?
• 11:26
Speaker 4: What shocks me about about him and his reality of
• 11:31
  Speaker 4: still playing.
• 11:32
Speaker 3: Okay, I knew. I knew when I was in New Orleans.
• 11:38
  Speaker 3: I read a play. I knew it was a curl.
• 11:41
Speaker 3: I'm thinking, oh, this is gonna be my first pick for.
• 11:44
Speaker 4: The New Orleans Saints, And in my mind, I'm thinking, Okay,
• 11:48
Speaker 4: I make this pick. I run it back, you know,
• 11:51
Speaker 4: maybe get a six. And I'm still I'm still able
• 11:56
Speaker 4: to play. I'm as good as I thought I was
• 11:58
Speaker 4: when I was with the Vikings. Next thing I know,
• 12:01
Speaker 4: I don't make the pick. I end up tackling the dude,
• 12:05
Speaker 4: and I'm now I am petrified in my mind because
• 12:08
Speaker 4: I knew I saw this like two steps in. I'm like,
• 12:11
  Speaker 4: it's a curl, and it was a curl and I
• 12:15
Speaker 4: couldn't get there. Now, when you have those moments, I
• 12:20
Speaker 4: don't know how you forget them, because I couldn't forget it.
• 12:24
Speaker 4: I knew at that point, get me through the end
• 12:26
Speaker 4: of the season, and I'm going home.
• 12:28
Speaker 3: I'm done because I just can't do it.
• 12:31
Speaker 4: And I have to believe he has seen a curl
• 12:36
Speaker 4: route that he could throw. Maybe he's in his mind
• 12:41
Speaker 4: he's telling himself, oh, I can still make that throw.
• 12:46
  Speaker 4: It's not that I couldn't make another play again, there's
• 12:49
Speaker 4: somewhere I'm gonna make a play. I'm gonna knock the
• 12:51
Speaker 4: ball down, get an interception.
• 12:52
Speaker 3: Da da da da.
• 12:54
Speaker 4: But the fact that I realized I couldn't make that,
• 12:57
  Speaker 4: there is a play that I couldn't make that I
• 12:59
  Speaker 4: saw It.
• 13:00
  Speaker 3: Wasn't a miss. It wasn't accidental that I didn't get there.
• 13:03
Speaker 3: It was physically couldn't.
• 13:04
  Speaker 4: I couldn't get and I knew it, and I knew
• 13:08
Speaker 4: it wasn't gonna get any better.
• 13:09
Speaker 3: And I guarantee you he's had to have seen this,
• 13:12
Speaker 3: and he's acting like, oh, I just missed it. No,
• 13:15
  Speaker 3: you didn't miss.
• 13:16
Speaker 6: It, bro, you you don't have You know he's Undefeated's father, Tom.
• 13:22
  Speaker 4: You.
• 13:22
  Speaker 3: That's a fact you can't.
• 13:25
Speaker 4: So so speaking, the time it's time up on a
• 13:28
Speaker 4: sports All Star games, it's time up.
• 13:31
Speaker 3: You made that switch. You made that because listen there,
• 13:38
  Speaker 3: it's crazy.
• 13:40
Speaker 4: I did not even realize it was NBA All Star weekend.
• 13:45
Speaker 4: Like I didn't even know it was happening. I watched
• 13:48
Speaker 4: sports pretty much or listen to sports every day. We
• 13:51
Speaker 4: talked once a week, and I just totally blanked out
• 13:54
Speaker 4: that that was a huge event at one time that
• 13:58
Speaker 4: you scheduled time to watch to observe all the festivities,
• 14:02
Speaker 4: particularly the NBA All Star and we talked about the
• 14:04
Speaker 4: Pro Bowl. I think unless you're going to do like
• 14:09
Speaker 4: your suggestion where you just take all the sports and
• 14:12
Speaker 4: you just have like a weekend where you play flag
• 14:14
Speaker 4: and softball just making a big cookout.
• 14:18
Speaker 3: Did I just say scrap it? Because it was this
• 14:22
Speaker 3: was horrible? Was it?
• 14:23
Speaker 5: I mean I caught pieces of it and and but
• 14:27
Speaker 5: I think the whole the way to describe a lot
• 14:30
Speaker 5: of these, especially the NBA All Star Game, is you
• 14:33
  Speaker 5: can't manufacture soul.
• 14:34
  Speaker 6: I mean, those players they're.
• 14:36
Speaker 5: Going, they're going through the motions, they're cold, they're not
• 14:41
Speaker 5: into it. I mean it's just pretty obvious. I mean,
• 14:43
Speaker 5: they're there because they have to be there. And you know,
• 14:46
Speaker 5: I think the viewership probably dropped whenever Lebron you know
• 14:50
Speaker 5: what it was the two hours before the game. He
• 14:52
Speaker 5: you know, he couldn't play, even though he's played the.
• 14:54
Speaker 6: Past twenty years. It's not like he's not loyal to
• 14:56
  Speaker 6: the game.
• 14:57
Speaker 5: He just couldn't do it this year because of physical
• 14:59
Speaker 5: problems and he wants to save himself for the Lakers
• 15:02
Speaker 5: playoff runt and I get that.
• 15:03
Speaker 3: But he didn't have an injury. I think he did, Yes,
• 15:07
Speaker 3: he does, It wasn't it wasn't.
• 15:11
Speaker 5: Like an injury injury like a surgical And the fact
• 15:15
Speaker 5: that he didn't really say anything, like he didn't tell anybody.
• 15:19
Speaker 3: He just shows up in a couple hours before for
• 15:22
  Speaker 3: the game.
• 15:23
Speaker 4: See to me, that's not even the most egregious part.
• 15:26
Speaker 4: Right number one, you have a G League player who
• 15:30
Speaker 4: only gets signed essentially to participate in the slam Dunk contest.
• 15:36
Speaker 4: He doesn't even he wanted three years. This is a
• 15:41
Speaker 4: this is a fringe G League player, McClung. It's Mac mcclub,
• 15:48
Speaker 4: Mac mcclun, who doesn't even Really, you're not making a
• 15:53
  Speaker 4: roster outside of.
• 15:54
Speaker 3: Your ability to win a slam dunk contest.
• 15:57
Speaker 4: And then and then on top of that, which again
• 15:59
Speaker 4: shot to him because this dunks were phenomenal. Yes, he
• 16:02
Speaker 4: was a high live Yes, right of the whole week
• 16:04
Speaker 4: he deserves, we deserve it. Let me say this without him,
• 16:07
Speaker 4: without him the weekend shot. Yeah, there is nothing that
• 16:11
Speaker 4: you can talk about. Yeah, it's not really much, But.
• 16:13
Speaker 6: You didn't talk about Kevin Hart.
• 16:14
Speaker 5: I heard he was on there a lot, like they
• 16:16
Speaker 5: had all these interruptions, and they said he just would
• 16:19
Speaker 5: like twenty minute breaks like the broadcasters at some point
• 16:22
Speaker 5: they said didn't even know what was going on.
• 16:24
Speaker 3: I don't. I don't care for him into the sports realm,
• 16:27
  Speaker 3: I just I do.
• 16:29
Speaker 4: But then it's like even even to the point where
• 16:31
Speaker 4: you have the skill challenge, which is still pretty okay,
• 16:34
Speaker 4: right three the three point contest, and then you have
• 16:37
Speaker 4: like the the actual skill challenge where the dribbling, the
• 16:41
Speaker 4: passing with the guards. You had Chris Paul, who is
• 16:45
Speaker 4: an NBA veteran, basically part of this obstacle course. If
• 16:50
Speaker 4: you will, you have a passing component, a dribbling component,
• 16:53
Speaker 4: then you have a shooting component, and it's timed right,
• 16:56
Speaker 4: so the fastest time wins. It's that of doing like
• 17:01
Speaker 4: shooting the shots. He just throws the ball in order
• 17:04
Speaker 4: to get out the obstacle course faster him and with wimbley.
• 17:09
Speaker 4: And it's just like at a point, dude, are you
• 17:11
Speaker 4: not reading the room. We don't want to. We want
• 17:13
Speaker 4: to come to see the skills, and you're not even
• 17:16
Speaker 4: giving us that. I'm just telling you they are to
• 17:20
Speaker 4: just scrap it. The NBA all start. Just let it
• 17:23
Speaker 4: go and let me ask this and hope, hope your thought.
• 17:27
Speaker 4: I don't think that the players themselves care about what
• 17:33
Speaker 4: the fan base is watching, because it this is just
• 17:38
Speaker 4: this is kind of a guy to care.
• 17:40
Speaker 3: That's that's the point of No, No, they don't have to, but.
• 17:43
Speaker 4: You should you should. Yeah, I granted you should, but
• 17:48
Speaker 4: I think now I made extra I made extra money
• 17:52
Speaker 4: because you know, I'm playing in the All Star Game.
• 17:55
Speaker 4: I'm going through all this process, so I'm getting more money.
• 17:58
Speaker 4: That's additional money that I'm getting paid. No one's playing
• 18:01
Speaker 4: any defense, none of the old school skilled things are
• 18:08
Speaker 4: being taken as serious as what maybe they used to be.
• 18:12
  Speaker 3: And so.
• 18:14
Speaker 4: When I look at it like it's it ends up
• 18:17
Speaker 4: being a waste of my time in watching it, and
• 18:20
Speaker 4: I don't think it bothers them one way or the other.
• 18:24
Speaker 5: And to your point, Hollis, I agree that they probably
• 18:27
Speaker 5: should scrap it. But surprisingly this isn't just an exhibition game.
• 18:31
Speaker 5: This is one of the biggest money makers the NBA has,
• 18:33
Speaker 5: if you can believe that, other than the playoffs and
• 18:36
Speaker 5: the finals, they make more money on this weekend, this
• 18:39
Speaker 5: whole weekend, all the activities and the and the TV
• 18:42
Speaker 5: viewership than they do throughout the season.
• 18:44
Speaker 4: And is that do you think that's because people are
• 18:47
Speaker 4: tuning into it hoping advertising. Well, advertising, they're they're making
• 18:53
Speaker 4: that money. But on the other side, for the for
• 18:55
Speaker 4: the for the viewership, do you think people turn on
• 18:59
Speaker 4: turn it on and hoping that it's different, and then
• 19:03
Speaker 4: ten minutes and they realize it's not.
• 19:05
Speaker 3: I think aunt, I think one hundred percent.
• 19:07
Speaker 4: Again, you definitely used to tune it because it was
• 19:10
Speaker 4: something special that you wouldn't see.
• 19:12
Speaker 3: In addition to the we talked about advertisement.
• 19:15
Speaker 4: The players they'll have like their special All Stars shoes
• 19:18
Speaker 4: and you know, the uniforms and all that sort of thing.
• 19:21
Speaker 4: But to me, it's like, if you're not going to
• 19:23
Speaker 4: at least let it be competitive. Again, it's never been like,
• 19:28
Speaker 4: you know, a playoff game, but we know for three
• 19:30
Speaker 4: quarters they were kind of lolligag and then that fourth
• 19:33
Speaker 4: quarter that HiT's getting turned up if somebody want to win,
• 19:36
Speaker 4: like the Kobe Jordan, those type of intensity fourth quarter
• 19:40
Speaker 4: games where we're seeing the best in the world.
• 19:42
Speaker 3: And right now you're literally.
• 19:45
Speaker 4: Seeing the best in the world because these kids are
• 19:47
Speaker 4: from all over the planet. So it's just like, why
• 19:50
Speaker 4: not just take it serious? And then you got to
• 19:52
Speaker 4: do all these gimmicks because at the point whence you
• 19:54
Speaker 4: got to start doing a whole bunch of gimmicks, Man,
• 19:57
Speaker 4: whatever you're doing is shot.
• 19:59
Speaker 3: If you got to start doing whole bunch of gimmicks.
• 20:01
  Speaker 3: Shout out the.
• 20:02
Speaker 4: Baby dog if you got to do all that, if
• 20:06
Speaker 4: you got to do all that, then it's over.
• 20:12
  Speaker 1: That's awesome.
• 20:13
  Speaker 4: Yeah, right right, Because here's what's funny. You're you're sitting
• 20:19
Speaker 4: in this room in a suit, is sitting coming probably
• 20:24
Speaker 4: from something that's really important, and that's what you get.
• 20:29
  Speaker 6: But it's perfect.
• 20:30
Speaker 5: Well, well, here's a question that I'll throw out to
• 20:33
Speaker 5: you guys, and we can you know, put it out
• 20:35
Speaker 5: for discussion. But you know, what's happening with the NBA
• 20:38
Speaker 5: is your big names, your your big players that people
• 20:41
Speaker 5: recognize are getting older, your younger generation. I mean, you've
• 20:45
Speaker 5: got Lebron when he's forty, You've got Steph Curry, KD.
• 20:50
Speaker 6: They're both what thirty six, thirty seven?
• 20:53
Speaker 5: You know, is it time for them to kind of
• 20:55
Speaker 5: back off and and and you know, right off into
• 20:59
Speaker 5: the sunsets to speak here within the next year or two,
• 21:02
Speaker 5: especially for this game, the NBA, you know, All Star game,
• 21:06
Speaker 5: and let the younger players take over.
• 21:08
Speaker 6: But then who's gonna do it?
• 21:09
Speaker 5: Mike, Mike McClung. I mean, we've got to have some
• 21:11
  Speaker 5: bigger names, right.
• 21:13
Speaker 3: You gotta have like the job morah.
• 21:16
Speaker 4: And the fact of the matter is that even to
• 21:17
Speaker 4: you even to that point, right, it's like, are things
• 21:21
Speaker 4: within that league just gonna get more intense? Because I
• 21:24
Speaker 4: think that's the problem I have with the NBA watching it.
• 21:26
Speaker 4: It just doesn't seem intense. Like you go down shoot
• 21:29
Speaker 4: a three pointer, get the repound. Another team goes shoots
• 21:32
Speaker 4: the three pointer, and it just becomes that's what you know,
• 21:34
Speaker 4: is up and down the court doing that. It's like
• 21:36
Speaker 4: the it's like a lack of intensity. And and that's
• 21:39
Speaker 4: and and that to me is what's creating the what
• 21:44
Speaker 4: what I would call the dying of basketball, of real basketball,
• 21:48
Speaker 4: because as great as Steph Curry is and him hitting
• 21:53
Speaker 4: those shots, the three point shots, even ones way beyond
• 21:57
Speaker 4: the arc. You walk into any gym with the basketball,
• 22:04
Speaker 4: the very first place that that kid on the basketball
• 22:07
Speaker 4: court is going to take a shot from is beyond
• 22:10
  Speaker 4: the three.
• 22:11
  Speaker 3: Yeah. And that's that's not really it's not fundamental. It's
• 22:16
  Speaker 3: not the fundamentals.
• 22:18
Speaker 4: And I think because of these guys are so good,
• 22:22
Speaker 4: so great, so they can master you know, you look
• 22:25
Speaker 4: at Steph Curry and the way he handles the ball,
• 22:27
Speaker 4: and if I'm a kid and I'm watching him, man,
• 22:29
Speaker 4: I want to be able to do that my first
• 22:31
Speaker 4: time trying to do that in the game. Next thing
• 22:33
Speaker 4: I realize is, you know, I lose the ball. You
• 22:37
Speaker 4: know you can't do it. You're not Steph Curry.
• 22:41
Speaker 3: And I think we the game is.
• 22:46
Speaker 4: Teaching everything that is wrong because of their greatness.
• 22:50
Speaker 3: Does that make sense.
• 22:51
Speaker 4: They're so good at the things that they do that
• 22:53
Speaker 4: they make the kids want to do these things and
• 22:56
Speaker 4: they can't and they're not willing to put in the
• 22:59
Speaker 4: work to even have the opportunity to do it.
• 23:02
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 23:02
Speaker 4: I mean my problem with basketball in general is just
• 23:04
Speaker 4: like I don't like positionless basketball, Like I think, like
• 23:08
Speaker 4: when you have the Shacks, when you had you know,
• 23:10
Speaker 4: the Carl Malons, when you have guys that's playing on
• 23:13
Speaker 4: the post, when you had Regi Miller, He's going to
• 23:15
Speaker 4: shoot the three, Alan Overlinson's going to take it to
• 23:17
Speaker 4: the whole. Everybody had a distinct skill set that would
• 23:22
Speaker 4: be used and deployed within the context of the game,
• 23:25
Speaker 4: and you have so much variety happening around the game.
• 23:28
Speaker 3: It just made it so fun to watch. Even like
• 23:30
Speaker 3: a Jordan where he was taking.
• 23:32
Speaker 4: It to the rack and then he developed his post
• 23:34
Speaker 4: up game and he had a mid range. His game evolved,
• 23:37
Speaker 4: and you just seen that evolution of greatness. Why in
• 23:40
Speaker 4: the game today, it's just it's almost free flowing to
• 23:44
Speaker 4: a fault if you will, just doesn't because it's not
• 23:46
Speaker 4: actually flowing now, it's just happening. Well, you don't have
• 23:50
Speaker 4: the big man that's gonna post down low, not necessarily not.
• 23:53
Speaker 4: It ain't too many, No, ain't too many. They could
• 23:56
Speaker 4: do it, but that's not what they want. They want
• 23:59
Speaker 4: to jump shot too.
• 24:00
Speaker 3: Ye And that just makes it to me, it's just
• 24:01
Speaker 3: hard to watch. I don't know.
• 24:03
Speaker 5: Well, and like like we said, the care factor is
• 24:05
Speaker 5: just it's it's apparent. Like like you said, the first
• 24:08
Speaker 5: three quarters that was boring. The fourth quarter everybody started
• 24:11
Speaker 5: to really play the game and pick it up, pick
• 24:13
Speaker 5: up the pace, and nobody's going to stick around for that,
• 24:16
Speaker 5: I mean, not for the whole game.
• 24:18
Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm I'm gone by the time you all pick
• 24:20
Speaker 3: it up. Yeah we see.
• 24:21
Speaker 4: That's the see again and that's that's the Pro Bowl
• 24:24
Speaker 4: as well. You know, it was washed it really, it
• 24:29
Speaker 4: really is. Because you can't fake football like you can't.
• 24:32
Speaker 4: You know, there's no three pointer that you can hit
• 24:36
Speaker 4: that makes everybody happy, you know, and personally I don't
• 24:39
Speaker 4: want to see dudes play flag football. I mean, it's cool,
• 24:42
Speaker 4: but you're gonna havelf. You're gonna go half speed and
• 24:45
Speaker 4: flag too. So it's just like I don't want to
• 24:46
Speaker 4: see these great athletes play.
• 24:48
Speaker 6: Want to see anybody play.
• 24:51
  Speaker 1: Period.
• 24:52
  Speaker 3: It's cool.
• 24:53
Speaker 6: I might play, but.
• 24:55
Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, So to to your point when we when
• 24:59
Speaker 4: we talk about flag football, is it is it going
• 25:05
Speaker 4: to be something that ultimately is going to.
• 25:09
Speaker 3: Challenge football? Do you think it's going to Yes, No,
• 25:15
  Speaker 3: you can't. You'll have women.
• 25:18
Speaker 4: I think they will eventually be because I know there's
• 25:20
Speaker 4: women leagues in some states in high school.
• 25:22
Speaker 3: I think is there not one? Just gotten?
• 25:26
Speaker 4: I don't think locally, not that I'm aware of, but
• 25:29
Speaker 4: I know there's some states have like women's flag in
• 25:32
Speaker 4: high schools and some colleges have women's flag. So I
• 25:35
Speaker 4: think you're going to see that, which that that'd be
• 25:37
Speaker 4: fun to watch. But as far as flags see, I
• 25:39
Speaker 4: think he's okay. So I know for I know this
• 25:42
Speaker 4: for a fact, okay, that flag football is is going
• 25:48
Speaker 4: to is going to take place somewhere here in the valley.
• 25:52
  Speaker 3: Will we'll have men's I.
• 25:55
Speaker 5: Can see soccer doing way better than flag football, I mean,
• 26:00
Speaker 5: my replacement for NFL football.
• 26:02
Speaker 4: My fear is for the kids who some of the
• 26:06
Speaker 4: kids who don't want to play football, or the parents
• 26:08
Speaker 4: who don't want their kids to quote play football because.
• 26:11
Speaker 3: Of the the injury issue.
• 26:14
Speaker 4: I could see flag football for men, boys, young men.
• 26:20
Speaker 3: I could see it.
• 26:22
Speaker 4: I could see it being a little bit of an
• 26:24
Speaker 4: issue for some of.
• 26:26
Speaker 3: The skill set players that's playing football. I think, I.
• 26:32
Speaker 5: Think if, if, if that's the if, that's a possibility,
• 26:35
Speaker 5: it's in its way in the future.
• 26:37
Speaker 4: And I think and I and I think to at
• 26:39
Speaker 4: least this point, soccer would take hold of that before.
• 26:41
Speaker 4: I mean, because flag is cool, it's fun to play.
• 26:44
Speaker 4: But ain't nobody Soccer is already. Yeah, they're they're taking
• 26:48
Speaker 4: and they're taking the skill set, guys. That's what I'm
• 26:51
Speaker 4: saying here. Soccer is going to be the one to
• 26:53
Speaker 4: pick up the flag. The flag is going to be
• 26:56
Speaker 4: some anccellario. Now, it's like three on three basketball, all right, Well,
• 26:59
Speaker 4: let's take quick break and we'll be right back.
• 27:01
Speaker 7: Let's face it, bad things happen to good people seriously

• 28:01
  Speaker 2: the conversation.
• 28:03
Speaker 3: All right, ladies and gentlemen, we are back.
• 28:08
Speaker 4: I want to just say one one more thing about
• 28:11
Speaker 4: the about flag football, because I really don't like it,
• 28:17
Speaker 4: Like I mean, I really really truly don't don't like it.
• 28:20
Speaker 4: And but I understand it, okay.
• 28:25
  Speaker 3: But I just don't.
• 28:26
Speaker 4: I don't see there being if you're playing flag football.
• 28:33
Speaker 4: I don't understand why you just don't play football, okay.
• 28:37
Speaker 4: I mean, like you said, you don't want to get
• 28:38
Speaker 4: to hurt, you don't want to face the injuries. I
• 28:40
Speaker 4: think football has its place. I mean I think it's
• 28:43
Speaker 4: I played flag. One of y'all just couldn't play football
• 28:45
Speaker 4: for one reason. I played flag at the while. I
• 28:47
  Speaker 4: think if you're I think, if you're to me, it's
• 28:50
Speaker 4: a great segue into the game. If you're five six seven,
• 28:54
Speaker 4: you do not need to be playing tackle football, in
• 28:56
Speaker 4: my opinion, don't play flag. So you're saying for the
• 28:59
Speaker 4: kids that are don't fit, Okay, okay, I can. I
• 29:05
Speaker 4: can live with that. See that's see, that's why you
• 29:07
Speaker 4: do what you can learn the skills and you can
• 29:11
Speaker 4: have the fun. But I also still feel though, like
• 29:17
Speaker 4: soccer still has a huge risk of injury. You know,
• 29:21
Speaker 4: I mean you're not like that, not not nothing, nothing,
• 29:25
Speaker 4: nothing remotely close to football.
• 29:27
Speaker 3: But you're still running around, you know, diving into people.
• 29:31
Speaker 4: Here's the thing, though, what I tell people is like this, soccer, basketball,
• 29:37
Speaker 4: at times, baseball, those are contact sports, hockey, football, rugby,
• 29:42
Speaker 4: collision sports. So it's a little bit of a difference
• 29:46
Speaker 4: when we talk about collision.
• 29:47
Speaker 3: Verse you're playing on the word to make that. You're
• 29:51
Speaker 3: playing on the words to make that word.
• 29:53
Speaker 4: I mean it is if you're running into somebody full speed,
• 29:56
Speaker 4: come over from him every single play line and are
• 29:58
  Speaker 4: going head up.
• 29:59
  Speaker 3: It's a differ sports.
• 30:00
Speaker 4: So it's like, I can understand why somebody wouldn't want
• 30:03
Speaker 4: to you know, I cann it ain't for everybody.
• 30:05
Speaker 3: No, it's not. It definitely is not.
• 30:08
Speaker 6: But you pretty much get hit every single play play. Yeah,
• 30:12
  Speaker 6: I mean it's true. It's a collision sport.
• 30:14
Speaker 3: I like it. It's a collision sport. All right.
• 30:16
Speaker 4: So all right, I'm kind of excited about this next
• 30:20
Speaker 4: conversation because and I'm going to give all the props
• 30:24
Speaker 4: to Hollis, who threw it out into the in the
• 30:27
Speaker 4: text that we were having today trying to discuss on
• 30:30
Speaker 4: what we were going to talk about, and he throws out, like,
• 30:36
Speaker 4: what is what is it? Basically is I took it
• 30:39
Speaker 4: as what is the goat? Like and who is the goat?
• 30:43
Speaker 4: But like what does it mean? What does that actually mean?
• 30:46
Speaker 4: Like how do you interpret that? Because how you interpret it.
• 30:50
Speaker 4: I'm going to assume is how you're going to pick
• 30:53
Speaker 4: that person. And I'll and I'll just start it off
• 30:55
Speaker 4: because we coach Pennington and I were having this conversation
• 30:59
Speaker 4: during the Super Bowl and he said something. He kind
• 31:02
Speaker 4: of said that casually to maybe get my wheels turning.
• 31:06
Speaker 4: He was like, the goat is defined by championships period.
• 31:11
Speaker 4: He's like, when you're talking about the goat, it's solely
• 31:15
Speaker 4: defined by not not just championship, but what you do
• 31:20
Speaker 4: in championship moments. So that made it that was that, Yeah.
• 31:26
Speaker 6: Okay, that's no other judgement.
• 31:29
  Speaker 4: That's that's what Again. We didn't I didn't ask him
• 31:32
  Speaker 4: to elaborate, but.
• 31:34
  Speaker 5: I mean it's a good place to start. I think
• 31:37
Speaker 5: there's other factors that play in what do you think, girl?
• 31:40
Speaker 4: I think when you say it, when you say it
• 31:42
Speaker 4: that way, it does kind of say, you know, like
• 31:47
Speaker 4: if you say, let's go boxing, because that's usually somewhat
• 31:51
Speaker 4: of an easier one, even though there's still.
• 31:55
Speaker 6: Do you know that's the origin of the acron.
• 32:01
Speaker 3: And I don't think anybody can.
• 32:03
Speaker 4: You may not like Muhammad Ali and you might want
• 32:05
Speaker 4: to give it to somebody else, but The one thing
• 32:08
Speaker 4: about it is you can deny him of being, if
• 32:11
Speaker 4: not the greatest boxer, he's the top two or three.
• 32:16
Speaker 3: He's the goat. But but I don't know.
• 32:19
Speaker 4: But I think when when, as far as my definition
• 32:22
Speaker 4: is concerned, when when I say what I just said
• 32:24
Speaker 4: previously about what the goat is when we talk about
• 32:27
Speaker 4: Muhammad Ali, we talk about him being the goat in
• 32:31
Speaker 4: the aspect we're talking about him in totality. We're not
• 32:34
Speaker 4: just talking about Muhammad Ali when he fights versus A Jordan.
• 32:38
Speaker 4: We're talking about strictly on the basketball court.
• 32:43
Speaker 3: You see what I'm saying.
• 32:44
Speaker 4: No, what I'm saying is this, there's a bunch of
• 32:49
Speaker 4: great players, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Reggie Miller. I'm just
• 32:53
Speaker 4: talking about that era. They were all great players in
• 32:57
Speaker 4: that area. They're not good. They are great players, fame player, right,
• 33:01
Speaker 4: But ain't none of them to go because the goat
• 33:04
Speaker 4: is defined by championships in solely championships. Because again there's
• 33:10
Speaker 4: a bunch of great players. But what separates great from goat? Well,
• 33:15
Speaker 4: and I'll to validate that, you know, I Eric Dickerson,
• 33:24
Speaker 4: like you know what I'm saying, Like I would make
• 33:26
Speaker 4: a case back in the day that dude was everything,
• 33:31
Speaker 4: had it all. To my knowledge, I'm not sure if
• 33:34
Speaker 4: he won any Super Bowls or anything. And you don't
• 33:38
Speaker 4: even really hear his name, you know what I'm saying.
• 33:43
Speaker 4: So to your valid point of saying, Okay, championships is
• 33:46
Speaker 4: because if you win championships, the other piece that comes
• 33:49
Speaker 4: with championships is you're always gonna be talked about. You
• 33:54
Speaker 4: win a championship, that team you played on, somebody on
• 33:58
Speaker 4: that team is going to be talked about.
• 34:00
Speaker 5: Okay, Well, I mean I agree that championships should be
• 34:10
Speaker 5: part of the formula. I don't think it's the total formula.
• 34:13
Speaker 5: I think there's some other things that play a factor
• 34:15
Speaker 5: in it. First of all, individual records. You know, if
• 34:18
Speaker 5: you set some records for your sport, that that should
• 34:21
Speaker 5: be a factor that.
• 34:22
  Speaker 6: You look at.
• 34:23
Speaker 5: Uh, the impact on the game. Did you bring in
• 34:25
Speaker 5: more viewers because your name was recognizable, did you, you know,
• 34:30
Speaker 5: bring the sport, did you lift the sport higher than
• 34:32
Speaker 5: it already was before you started playing it? And of
• 34:35
Speaker 5: course overall legacy. So I think it's just Also I
• 34:38
  Speaker 5: think it's generational. I mean, I really feel like we've
• 34:41
Speaker 5: talked about how the games, even football, basketball, how they've
• 34:45
Speaker 5: evolved from one style of play to another. So what
• 34:48
Speaker 5: was the goat back in this style of play is
• 34:51
Speaker 5: completely different from what it is today's style of play?
• 34:54
  Speaker 6: That makes sense.
• 34:55
  Speaker 4: I'm glad I said that because when I when I
• 34:57
Speaker 4: refer to the goat, I'm not in thissary. I think
• 34:59
Speaker 4: there's all time guys, But I'm generally referring to the
• 35:03
Speaker 4: goat of like your era. I think that's kind of
• 35:06
Speaker 4: because but to your point, to that point, to what
• 35:09
Speaker 4: you just said, Now, when we talk about Eric Dickerson
• 35:13
Speaker 4: in that air, who was else in that air? Who
• 35:16
Speaker 4: was else in that air? Why would we and why
• 35:21
Speaker 4: would we say Walter Payton is the is the goat
• 35:25
Speaker 4: running back of that era over Eric Dickerson? What's the difference?
• 35:29
Speaker 4: I don't know if there would be, no there's a difference.
• 35:32
Speaker 4: What's the difference? One got a Super Bowl in one don't.
• 35:35
Speaker 4: Eric may have more yards, they have a better running style,
• 35:40
Speaker 4: all that may have been overall better back Barry Sanders.
• 35:45
Speaker 3: But people would argue INMMS.
• 35:46
Speaker 4: Smith, Yes, people would say, im Smith, don't you.
• 35:50
Speaker 5: Think for the sport of football though, having one a
• 35:54
Speaker 5: goat is probably, it's almost impossible.
• 35:57
Speaker 3: I'd say it is.
• 35:58
Speaker 6: All the different positions there are.
• 36:00
  Speaker 3: I think, yeah, you can't.
• 36:02
  Speaker 6: I mean, you can't be.
• 36:05
Speaker 3: And and to your cowboy to your cowboy reference.
• 36:13
  Speaker 4: I mean I wouldn't say that. I'm just saying yeah,
• 36:15
Speaker 4: But but I don't really even think like and see.
• 36:18
Speaker 4: And again I'm I'm way off base here because I
• 36:21
Speaker 4: don't see him in that group.
• 36:23
Speaker 3: Who is that Smith all time leadon wrestled. You won't
• 36:26
Speaker 3: see him in that group?
• 36:28
Speaker 4: Nope, nope, no, no, no, no, okay, but are you talking
• 36:37
Speaker 4: You don't see him as like he could.
• 36:40
Speaker 3: Be a he No, he's great.
• 36:42
Speaker 4: You're just saying like he you don't see him as
• 36:44
Speaker 4: a goat running back. No, he can be whatever you
• 36:47
Speaker 4: want to call him. I'm just gonna say that when
• 36:50
Speaker 4: I when when I look at that era.
• 36:53
Speaker 3: Of running backs and he came in toward the end
• 36:55
Speaker 3: of it. He he ain't very Dickens. He ain't Walter Payton.
• 37:01
Speaker 3: I can see that. You know what I'm saying.
• 37:03
Speaker 4: I mean and see And that's why. But okay, let
• 37:07
Speaker 4: me ask you this before you go on. Lisa defined
• 37:10
Speaker 4: her what her definition of goat is. I define my
• 37:13
Speaker 4: what's your definition of it.
• 37:16
Speaker 3: I'm gonna make it.
• 37:17
Speaker 4: I'm gonna make the case the guys who I I
• 37:21
Speaker 4: can't judge the guys now, my.
• 37:23
Speaker 3: My, no, no, no, just judge what it is for.
• 37:26
  Speaker 3: Don't forget error.
• 37:27
Speaker 4: I'm just saying, give me a blanket definition of what
• 37:30
Speaker 4: a goat is, regardless of mine happening to be either
• 37:37
Speaker 4: physically or I've actually seen you know, I've watched, I've
• 37:41
Speaker 4: seen them on film whatever.
• 37:43
Speaker 3: I'm watching these dudes.
• 37:44
Speaker 4: But no, no, no, no, you can't judge it like
• 37:46
Speaker 4: what you've seen and what you say because we we
• 37:49
Speaker 4: we didn't. We didn't watch Muhammad Ali fights in the sixties.
• 37:52
Speaker 4: But so what I'm saying, mine is saying, I'm defining
• 37:54
Speaker 4: by I'm gonna say I'm gonna decided by a bunch
• 37:58
  Speaker 4: of other qualifications.
• 37:59
Speaker 3: So what's yours. I'm gonna say that guy who changes the.
• 38:03
Speaker 4: Whole legacy, the whole structure of running back, quarterback, wide receives,
• 38:09
Speaker 4: so changed the game. Who changes the game every single
• 38:13
Speaker 4: you know, has the impact to change how running backs run,
• 38:18
  Speaker 4: how receivers.
• 38:21
Speaker 6: Solely that nothing else, not championships, not.
• 38:26
Speaker 4: I one n love the idea of championships, but when
• 38:29
Speaker 4: I start looking at players at position and try to
• 38:33
Speaker 4: figure out who who do I think is the goat?
• 38:36
  Speaker 4: I don't even have to think about, like I don't
• 38:38
Speaker 4: have to think about a championship.
• 38:42
  Speaker 3: Unfortunately or fortunately.
• 38:43
Speaker 4: I'm I'm thinking about somebody who I win against, and
• 38:46
Speaker 4: somebody who I saw watching film on maybe playing somebody else.
• 38:50
  Speaker 3: Maybe I didn't even play.
• 38:51
Speaker 4: Okay, let's take it outside. Let's take it sport by sport.
• 38:54
Speaker 4: So let's say, and again, football is a bad one.
• 38:58
  Speaker 4: Let's say baseball is hard. Let's let's let's let's go
• 39:01
Speaker 4: baseball first. And I'm saying, you can go picture hit her.
• 39:04
Speaker 4: Just we're just going there. So I'm saying it's a goat.
• 39:08
Speaker 4: Who were saying hit her? I don't have give me somebody.
• 39:13
Speaker 4: I'm saying Barry Bonds. And again I'm breaking my own
• 39:15
Speaker 4: rule because I don't think Barry Bond's ever won a championship.
• 39:18
Speaker 4: But I'm just saying, as a hitter, there's nothing you
• 39:22
Speaker 4: can do. But and I would also say to the
• 39:25
Speaker 4: back end that like a guy like Ricky Henderson who
• 39:27
Speaker 4: did it all right, So those would be I would
• 39:31
Speaker 4: not go see I would the first person when you
• 39:34
Speaker 4: said baseball came to my mind was handing okay and
• 39:38
Speaker 4: seeing that that might be just my aid. And I
• 39:41
Speaker 4: would also say Greg Maddox to yes, okay, so basketball,
• 39:47
Speaker 4: let's go there and you can name a couple if
• 39:49
Speaker 4: you got him, I'm Kobe. I'm gonna I'm going Kobe.
• 39:54
  Speaker 4: I would go Mike Jordan's. Well, like I said, I
• 39:57
Speaker 4: don't think you can to me.
• 39:59
  Speaker 3: Michael Jordan's I'll give you.
• 40:00
Speaker 4: I'll give you your point that you're going to say
• 40:02
Speaker 4: that Michael Jordan should be the first. I'm with definitely
• 40:04
Speaker 4: the first. But coache is right there next to them.
• 40:07
Speaker 4: I mean to me, those are those are both Johnson.
• 40:10
  Speaker 3: I don't think.
• 40:11
Speaker 6: So you've got Kareem Abdul Jabbar.
• 40:12
  Speaker 4: I mean, I love Kareem, but I don't know if
• 40:16
Speaker 4: Kareem could do what Michael.
• 40:20
  Speaker 3: Jordan's or did.
• 40:22
Speaker 4: He was he was the leading spoint points, he won
• 40:25
Speaker 4: the multitude of championships, everything.
• 40:28
  Speaker 3: I loved it.
• 40:29
Speaker 4: He was my god sky hook, you know, but that
• 40:33
Speaker 4: was not it for me. I'm still looking at you
• 40:38
Speaker 4: gotta look at it objectively. You look at everything too subjective.
• 40:47
Speaker 5: So can we say there's more than one goat for
• 40:50
Speaker 5: respect there's just one, even though that's kind of what
• 40:53
Speaker 5: the acronym stands for, is the greatest of all time,
• 40:57
Speaker 5: tells us it's one, one person.
• 41:00
Speaker 3: It's not. It is one.
• 41:03
Speaker 4: Let me in basketball, that's one. Let me ask, let me,
• 41:06
Speaker 4: let me ask this started, let me ask this. Is
• 41:11
Speaker 4: it unfair to try to think that your goat is
• 41:16
  Speaker 4: the goat?
• 41:16
Speaker 3: I'm saying, no, no, no, no no no, I'm not.
• 41:20
Speaker 3: I just just use you because you took it first.
• 41:22
Speaker 3: He took that person. You know. I'm just making the
• 41:26
  Speaker 3: case that probably.
• 41:27
Speaker 4: We shouldn't really we we can only speak to the
• 41:31
Speaker 4: goat based on our experience, our experiences and and who
• 41:36
Speaker 4: you can look at this objectively. And I'm saying it
• 41:39
Speaker 4: depends I try to give it away out But yeah,
• 41:42
  Speaker 4: I mean that's true.
• 41:43
Speaker 6: Basically, we're all gonna have different goats.
• 41:47
Speaker 3: He just does not want to go with it based
• 41:50
  Speaker 3: on your standards.
• 41:51
Speaker 4: And I'm saying, but but I'm saying, even like basketball,
• 41:54
Speaker 4: it's Michael Jordan, and I'm saying based on championship moments,
• 41:57
Speaker 4: and then a Polsa saying based on other things, based
• 42:00
Speaker 4: on the innovation with the shoes and the look, and
• 42:03
Speaker 4: he changed the perspective of sports.
• 42:06
  Speaker 3: Just in general.
• 42:07
Speaker 4: And he has championship, and he has championships and and
• 42:12
Speaker 4: and the thing about the thing about Michael Jordan, I
• 42:15
Speaker 4: think is he did everything for basketball. Yeah, he did
• 42:20
Speaker 4: everything like he's the only one regardless of any of
• 42:24
Speaker 4: these other guys that have great names and and and
• 42:26
Speaker 4: they may not have even had a chance to do
• 42:30
Speaker 4: the chew contracts and commercials and all that, because all
• 42:33
Speaker 4: those things weren't always available as they have become as
• 42:37
Speaker 4: years have passed. But when you start talking about Michael Jordan,
• 42:41
Speaker 4: he amped up everything and did everything on the court, offensively, defensively,
• 42:48
Speaker 4: hustled everything intensity, He brought the totality of what it is. Now,
• 42:53
  Speaker 4: let's let's that's your that's your assessment of him.
• 42:56
Speaker 6: Everybody sat supporting cast.
• 42:58
Speaker 4: But nobody does the ball, but everybody does. That's an
• 43:01
  Speaker 4: argument that I don't learn.
• 43:03
Speaker 5: But you remember their names more so than a lot
• 43:05
Speaker 5: of the other support Like I remember Scottie Pippen. Yeah,
• 43:08
Speaker 5: and I can't remember the real flamboyant guy. I loved him.
• 43:12
Speaker 6: I loved to watch all that.
• 43:15
Speaker 4: But any any great team, any great players, you have
• 43:17
Speaker 4: to have players around that you just don't get around that.
• 43:20
Speaker 4: So I'm saying, okay, let's say it, like this quarterback,
• 43:24
Speaker 4: who's the goat quarterback?
• 43:26
Speaker 3: We got to pick one. Go ahead, Listen.
• 43:30
Speaker 6: I know it pains me to say it.
• 43:32
  Speaker 5: I'm not a fan, but I mean I recognize great
• 43:35
Speaker 5: and it's Tom Brady.
• 43:36
  Speaker 3: Tom Brady.
• 43:38
  Speaker 4: Man.
• 43:39
Speaker 6: It pains me because I mean it hurt my soul.
• 43:43
Speaker 4: For me, it's a toss up between Brady and Montana.
• 43:46
Speaker 4: But I would definitely say Brady just because he did
• 43:50
Speaker 4: it in a manner that like, he wasn't done. He
• 43:54
Speaker 4: wasn't the guy. He wasn't a guy in high school,
• 43:57
Speaker 4: he wasn't a guy in college. He progressively got better
• 44:00
Speaker 4: and I think the way he did it, and to me,
• 44:03
Speaker 4: what's still the deal is actually him going to Tampa
• 44:06
Speaker 4: Bay and winning another one outside of New England.
• 44:08
Speaker 6: That's what he showed.
• 44:11
Speaker 4: That was about me, not about this organization or this coach.
• 44:16
Speaker 4: So I recognize that I respect everything about Tom Brady everything,
• 44:26
Speaker 4: but I'm gonna have to go Joe Montana for the
• 44:30
Speaker 4: for the for the simple simple fact he's got championships
• 44:33
Speaker 4: as well, and he's four and he's playing in the
• 44:39
Speaker 4: era Montana is playing in the era where getting hit
• 44:48
Speaker 4: was fair game and getting back up. You know, I
• 44:53
Speaker 4: can't argue and that's what you gotta get and that's
• 44:57
Speaker 4: so and get under and getting back up. And some
• 45:03
Speaker 4: would say, yes, but he had a great team and
• 45:07
  Speaker 4: everybody does.
• 45:07
Speaker 3: Everybody does. You know, I don't like that argument.
• 45:10
Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a tough argument because Brady got a whole
• 45:13
Speaker 4: bunch of Hall of Famous he played. There's a ton.
• 45:15
  Speaker 4: There's a ton too. And I think it again, I
• 45:20
Speaker 4: think because of the era of football and where it
• 45:23
Speaker 4: was at the time. To win in that era at
• 45:28
Speaker 4: that time demanded that quarterback to withstand a whole bunch
• 45:35
Speaker 4: of punishment and different types of defenses that were playing
• 45:39
Speaker 4: man the man and were blitzing like all day and
• 45:42
Speaker 4: hitting the quarterback after he throw. We could argue to that,
• 45:45
Speaker 4: I mean, wasn't that was sort of pre free agency, right,
• 45:48
Speaker 4: Free agency wasn't as prevalent. It wasn't, so some could
• 45:52
Speaker 4: argue that, well, Montana kind of knew who he had.
• 45:55
Speaker 4: The guys weren't moving around as much, right, So you
• 45:59
Speaker 4: you had that team and you knew that year and
• 46:02
Speaker 4: a year out this was the Minnesota Viking's defense. Yes,
• 46:04
Speaker 4: and you knew that you knew, but you knew, but
• 46:06
Speaker 4: you knew the Bears was coming to Okay, Okay, argument,
• 46:10
Speaker 4: now that's what you're saying, And answer this question. If
• 46:16
Speaker 4: you were to take the Bears defense, the undefeated team
• 46:20
Speaker 4: and drop them into fifteen to one, yes, basically regular season. Yeah,
• 46:28
Speaker 4: so you take and drop them into Tom Brady's era
• 46:35
Speaker 4: and you're playing them under which rules though under the
• 46:39
  Speaker 4: old rule.
• 46:40
  Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a difference.
• 46:42
  Speaker 4: That's going to be a different that's a difference, and
• 46:44
Speaker 4: the receivers are going to be treated different.
• 46:47
Speaker 6: That's why it's so debatable. It is so subjective.
• 46:50
Speaker 5: I mean, everybody has their own ideals, Like right out
• 46:52
Speaker 5: of the gate, we all had different ideals of what
• 46:54
Speaker 5: constitutes a goat, And so I think it's just really hard.
• 46:59
Speaker 5: That's why you really don't have any solid everybody has
• 47:02
Speaker 5: an opinion on it.
• 47:03
Speaker 4: I guess, and I guess what and what kind of
• 47:07
Speaker 4: sparked me to even want to bring this up because
• 47:09
Speaker 4: a lot of people were already taking my homes out
• 47:11
Speaker 4: of the goat conversation.
• 47:13
Speaker 3: That's because they don't like him, and I'm just like,
• 47:14
Speaker 3: how do you take him too soon? I don't know,
• 47:19
  Speaker 3: I don't know.
• 47:21
Speaker 4: To me, he's the most talented person I've ever seen
• 47:24
Speaker 4: throw the football. I mean, ever, he's the most talented
• 47:27
Speaker 4: person I've ever seen throw the football.
• 47:30
  Speaker 3: And to win.
• 47:31
Speaker 4: I think he's got what three champ to two championships,
• 47:34
Speaker 4: been there like five times in this era, I don't know.
• 47:38
Speaker 4: And he's gonna be up there and to add to
• 47:40
  Speaker 4: that home.
• 47:40
Speaker 6: But not yet. Do you think he's there?
• 47:42
Speaker 4: All right? I think he's definitely a top five quarterback
• 47:45
  Speaker 4: to me.
• 47:45
Speaker 6: A goat. You think he'll he'll he'll pass Tom Brady. No, No,
• 47:52
Speaker 6: I'm saying, don't on the road.
• 47:57
Speaker 3: I think I think he is the modern he is
• 48:00
Speaker 3: a modern goat right now. Facts like he's the he's
• 48:05
Speaker 3: the goat now of the NFL.
• 48:07
Speaker 4: Of the NFL, and and and and one of the
• 48:10
Speaker 4: things that I think that is really really kind of
• 48:12
Speaker 4: unique is he's inside of being a true running quarterback.
• 48:20
Speaker 4: He's inside of being a pocket quarterback, you know what
• 48:25
Speaker 4: I'm saying, Like, like he can do any one of them,
• 48:27
Speaker 4: but he doesn't, Like he doesn't. He can scramble, but
• 48:31
Speaker 4: he doesn't. That's not his forte. He can run the ball,
• 48:34
Speaker 4: that's not his for mat Forte, you know what I'm saying.
• 48:37
Speaker 3: And he can be in the pocket, but he can run.
• 48:41
Speaker 6: He thinks he's the requirement.
• 48:43
Speaker 4: He does everything, he can do everything that most quarterbacks
• 48:47
  Speaker 4: can do.
• 48:48
Speaker 3: One he's either a runner or a thrower, right, and
• 48:51
Speaker 3: he does all of.
• 48:54
  Speaker 6: Conversation at all.
• 48:56
  Speaker 3: But I know you're a packer.
• 48:58
Speaker 4: But I will say this, like I know, way like
• 49:01
Speaker 4: the most talented quarterbacks who like throwing talent arm talent.
• 49:06
  Speaker 4: I mean, it's Mahomes, it's Rogers, it's bread far They're
• 49:09
Speaker 4: all up there. But I'm saying overall, and even if
• 49:12
Speaker 4: you look far as Mahome is concerned, even if you
• 49:14
Speaker 4: look at the two Super Bowls he's lost, it's been
• 49:16
Speaker 4: because of not great offensive line play. It's not like
• 49:21
Speaker 4: he went out there and lost the games like he
• 49:23
Speaker 4: just blew the games, because I mean, the offensive line
• 49:26
Speaker 4: playing both of the Super Bowl losses have been pretty horrific. Well,
• 49:29
Speaker 4: and and to that point again, that's where we talk
• 49:32
Speaker 4: about defense wins championships because teams that have been able
• 49:37
Speaker 4: to defense him make him uncomfortable in the pocket, containing
• 49:42
Speaker 4: they win, they win.
• 49:43
  Speaker 3: That's a fact. That's a fact.
• 49:46
Speaker 4: So you know, and and when you start talking about
• 49:49
Speaker 4: the goat if you face a defense, you know, because
• 49:54
Speaker 4: I'm sure and I can't give you all the names.
• 49:56
Speaker 3: There were some great quarterbacks during my era.
• 50:00
Speaker 4: If you win against the Bears, your stature were gonna
• 50:04
Speaker 4: change that day, and you were gonna get hit. Often,
• 50:09
Speaker 4: you're gonna get hit, even if you got the ball off,
• 50:12
Speaker 4: they'll take that fifteen and and and.
• 50:16
Speaker 3: So I think to.
• 50:18
Speaker 4: Make the point of in those type of errors, it's
• 50:22
Speaker 4: it changes because I don't know if any quarterback today
• 50:27
Speaker 4: could really face the defenses back in the day just
• 50:31
Speaker 4: because they were just they were agressed and the rules.
• 50:35
Speaker 6: The quarterbacks protected. It's not what it was, right.
• 50:37
Speaker 4: And we haven't talked about Lebron James Lebron. That's true
• 50:42
Speaker 4: because he's definitely I mean, is he is Steph? I
• 50:45
Speaker 4: mean is he I'm a definitive goat of his air.
• 50:49
Speaker 4: I think he I definitely think that you have to
• 50:52
Speaker 4: put him as as the goat because of.
• 51:01
  Speaker 3: His play.
• 51:03
Speaker 4: And I really it and it pains me to really
• 51:06
Speaker 4: say that, but forever.
• 51:10
  Speaker 5: Like so, it's like that, I mean, I just I
• 51:15
Speaker 5: can't remember the NBA without him, to be honest, It's
• 51:17
Speaker 5: like we went from Michael Jordan to Lebron And that's
• 51:21
Speaker 5: how it feels to me anyway.
• 51:22
Speaker 6: But because how many years has he been in the league,
• 51:24
  Speaker 6: I mean.
• 51:27
Speaker 4: Yeah, and I think to your to your point, I
• 51:29
Speaker 4: think twenty two that long. That longevity, I think, and
• 51:34
Speaker 4: starting at at a young age and that longevity and
• 51:38
Speaker 4: still still playing, still playing at a high level, at
• 51:41
Speaker 4: a high level. I think that that speaks volumes and
• 51:44
Speaker 4: speaks volumes over any and everybody else in the era
• 51:49
Speaker 4: that in this air. But and he took that Cleveland team,
• 51:53
Speaker 4: came one player off that team, and he took that
• 51:56
Speaker 4: team more in the championship. I mean when you talk
• 51:59
Speaker 4: about player put that team on his back, he said,
• 52:05
Speaker 4: and that was not a great team. About how young
• 52:10
  Speaker 4: was he there?
• 52:10
Speaker 6: Don't that ten years ago, fifteen years ago, he was
• 52:14
  Speaker 6: a younger, So.
• 52:14
Speaker 3: He was he was, Yeah, he was much younger. Yeah,
• 52:17
Speaker 3: he was much as younger. Yeah.
• 52:21
  Speaker 4: But I think as he's gotten older, I think he's
• 52:24
Speaker 4: realized that he needs help.
• 52:27
Speaker 6: The Lakers realize that obviously, you know.
• 52:29
  Speaker 4: And I think I think he's he's gone to teams
• 52:32
Speaker 4: or been part of teams that have had multiple players
• 52:35
Speaker 4: that when he was young. I mean, he did that
• 52:37
Speaker 4: prior to winning the championship in Cleveland so far as
• 52:40
Speaker 4: going to Miami. But I'm saying coming back and winning
• 52:43
Speaker 4: with that squad, that.
• 52:45
Speaker 6: Was that was that was remarkable. I remember that.
• 52:49
Speaker 3: So he is okay. So let's say you take Lebron,
• 52:52
Speaker 3: He's he's the goat? Okay? Is it anybody else that staff?
• 52:57
  Speaker 3: I mean, I would.
• 52:58
Speaker 4: I would again when we talk about championship moments, when
• 53:02
Speaker 4: we talk about somebody who changed the complexion of the game,
• 53:07
Speaker 4: Steph Curry changed the He changed basketball. When you look
• 53:11
Speaker 4: at like what's going on for good or bad? LI
• 53:13
Speaker 4: like it, love it, hate it. This is a result
• 53:16
Speaker 4: of Steph Zeph Curry. So it's it's I think people
• 53:20
Speaker 4: don't want to admit that, or maybe they'll try to,
• 53:24
Speaker 4: you know, say Steph Ris kind of started a little
• 53:27
Speaker 4: bit after Lebron's but I'm just saying this era, you
• 53:29
Speaker 4: gotta mention them two to me in my opinion, So
• 53:33
Speaker 4: it be kind of wanted to want a one b
• 53:36
Speaker 4: if it is it the the best all around player
• 53:40
Speaker 4: as a goat and the best shooting player as a goat.
• 53:45
Speaker 3: Nah, because I was.
• 53:46
Speaker 4: I mean, Stephanie won championships. They both want champions. Stephans
• 53:50
Speaker 4: four to oh in the championship.
• 53:52
Speaker 6: I understand the impact on the game. He changed it.
• 53:56
Speaker 6: He changed the look of the game.
• 53:58
Speaker 4: But but but can you I'm just trying to make
• 54:01
Speaker 4: the trying to make a difference between the two. Lebron
• 54:06
Speaker 4: is just an all around kind of player inside outside.
• 54:10
Speaker 3: You know, Steph is a shooter.
• 54:15
Speaker 4: See I would argue that because people think that, but
• 54:19
Speaker 4: there's never been a combination of a person who has
• 54:22
Speaker 4: that degree of handles and can shoots. And I think
• 54:26
Speaker 4: that's the missing piece of what people don't talk about
• 54:27
Speaker 4: with Steph, because Steph is not like a Reggie Miller
• 54:30
Speaker 4: where he has to run around and try to get open.
• 54:32
Speaker 4: He can actually create his own shot off the dribble,
• 54:36
Speaker 4: and I think that's the part that people like that.
• 54:38
Speaker 4: That's what makes them impossible to defend. In addition to
• 54:42
Speaker 4: the range, So I think when you're looking at a
• 54:44
Speaker 4: person who not only gave us the range for shooting
• 54:48
Speaker 4: the ball from beyond the arc, but also can create
• 54:51
Speaker 4: their own shot where they have the dribble and the
• 54:53
  Speaker 4: shot together, and that's just I mean, it's just it's
• 54:58
Speaker 4: not something normally seen in basketball.
• 55:00
Speaker 3: When you now when you look at Magic.
• 55:01
Speaker 4: Okay, So to that I was thinking, I was when
• 55:04
Speaker 4: you was talking about that, I was the first name
• 55:07
Speaker 4: came in my mind was Magic.
• 55:09
  Speaker 3: Okay.
• 55:09
Speaker 4: So now when you start talking about that, Magic had
• 55:12
Speaker 4: the handles, he had the passing, he could, he could
• 55:16
Speaker 4: shoot inside outside, the name, and he.
• 55:20
Speaker 3: Had a championship and he had a championships. That's what
• 55:23
Speaker 3: I'm saying. So you could argue that too, I mean.
• 55:25
Speaker 4: Because he he's a bigger version of a different different
• 55:30
Speaker 4: skills than Steph Man.
• 55:34
Speaker 3: Nah, those are two different players. What about Larry Bird, Yes,
• 55:37
Speaker 3: you put it championships. You put him in there too.
• 55:41
Speaker 4: Well, let's ask this question, does it take well, yes,
• 55:46
Speaker 4: I think there's definitely more, especially a basketball Yeah, but
• 55:50
Speaker 4: those in basketball, it's those players who can do all
• 55:55
Speaker 4: of it, a combination of well rounded basketball player. I
• 56:00
Speaker 4: think in basketball, in order to be a goat, you
• 56:03
Speaker 4: have to because of so many great and good players.
• 56:05
Speaker 4: Because even like in this era, Kevin Durant's a great player,
• 56:07
  Speaker 4: I wouldn't consider him a goat of any air. I
• 56:09
Speaker 4: wouldn't consider him to go to this era. But I
• 56:11
Speaker 4: think in basketball in particular, you gotta kind of change
• 56:14
Speaker 4: the game a little bit in order to be in
• 56:17
  Speaker 4: the goat conversation.
• 56:18
Speaker 3: It's not good enough that you're just good.
• 56:20
Speaker 4: Like I think Shack Right was a goat because he
• 56:23
Speaker 4: was nobody's We never see anybody that big, that mobile,
• 56:27
Speaker 4: that skilled ever played darn there any sport. So you
• 56:32
Speaker 4: gotta be able to like change the game a little.
• 56:34
Speaker 3: But I think that I think I think that is.
• 56:37
Speaker 4: I think those players, those basketball players who come in
• 56:43
Speaker 4: who have all of those skills, I think that they
• 56:45
  Speaker 4: do change.
• 56:46
Speaker 3: I do think that they do change the game.
• 56:48
Speaker 4: I think that that would be the one sport that
• 56:50
Speaker 4: I think could be very difficult because again, when you
• 56:54
Speaker 4: look at Kareem and you look at just just the
• 56:57
Speaker 4: sky hook. Yeah, but I don't think you the game
• 57:00
Speaker 4: because he the only one who did it, and they
• 57:01
Speaker 4: ain't been really done since. But he dominated with it.
• 57:04
Speaker 4: He dominated with it, but he didn't change the game
• 57:06
  Speaker 4: with it.
• 57:07
Speaker 3: I think he changed.
• 57:09
Speaker 4: I think he did. I think I think he did it.
• 57:13
Speaker 4: You can't change the game, and nobody do it. Everybody
• 57:16
Speaker 4: tried to mimic Jordan. Everybody's trying to be mixed.
• 57:18
  Speaker 3: Steff.
• 57:19
Speaker 4: Like to your point, you said this several weeks ago
• 57:21
Speaker 4: when you look at Maggie Johnson. Now you got the
• 57:23
Speaker 4: big man playing the point guard and playing out front them.
• 57:26
Speaker 3: Guy's changed the game.
• 57:28
Speaker 6: So that's the main. So what you're saying is championships
• 57:31
  Speaker 6: number one.
• 57:32
Speaker 5: Let's ring number one, number one, impact on game number two,
• 57:36
Speaker 5: impact on the games the second.
• 57:38
Speaker 3: I would say that, yes, impact on the game.
• 57:40
Speaker 6: Okay, So where where do you think records? Lands and legacy.
• 57:44
Speaker 3: Individual records think those are after that?
• 57:47
  Speaker 2: Yeah?
• 57:47
Speaker 4: I think that because you may not have records, but
• 57:50
Speaker 4: you can still change the game, and you.
• 57:51
Speaker 6: Can still have a legacy. People will remember who you
• 57:53
Speaker 6: are in your name. I look at Dennis Rodman.
• 57:55
Speaker 3: I mean legacy is kind of a combination of all that.
• 57:58
Speaker 4: Okay, But I would definitely say championship, your impact on
• 58:01
Speaker 4: the game, your it probably your impact outside of the game,
• 58:04
Speaker 4: like what you did to impact the game, Like did
• 58:07
Speaker 4: you bring eyes to it that wouldn't normally come like
• 58:10
Speaker 4: Muhammad Ali? Right, then you could look at records, then
• 58:13
Speaker 4: legacy and different things.
• 58:14
  Speaker 3: Of that nature.
• 58:14
Speaker 4: Well, if switching back to Muhammad Ali, when you when
• 58:18
Speaker 4: you start talking about bringing eyes to it, I don't
• 58:21
Speaker 4: know if anybody brought any more eyes to it than
• 58:26
Speaker 4: Muhammad Ali. And I would agree with you, you know
• 58:29
Speaker 4: now if you want to talk about it. Yeah, yeah,
• 58:32
Speaker 4: he's he's still in the conversation. And you know, you
• 58:34
Speaker 4: look at Mike Tyson. You know everybody was watching his
• 58:37
Speaker 4: his fights with the idea of it might only be
• 58:40
Speaker 4: two rounds. But with Mike Tyson, what did you do
• 58:43
Speaker 4: in championship moments? You didn't beat the vander Holyfield, you
• 58:47
Speaker 4: didn't beat lennux Lewis, You didn't beat the premier fighters
• 58:51
Speaker 4: of your era. So to me, he can never be
• 58:54
  Speaker 4: the goat.
• 58:55
Speaker 6: But Rocky did Rocky.
• 59:04
Speaker 3: And then on that we might hear get at it.
• 59:11
Speaker 3: I think Lisa has stopped it. All right. We're har
