- 0:00She's saying, what the heck happened?
- 0:02I thought that we were going somewhere, you know, But every
- 0:04day is turned into the same day and the years are going by like
- 0:08months and, and they're going by way too fast.
- 0:11But that is a huge critical error and a huge mistake.
- 0:14And that is what causes so many marriages and the intimacy in
- 0:17the marriage, the love connection to fade over time and
- 0:20sometimes die completely. Are you the man she thought she
- 0:24was marrying when she decided that it was a great idea to
- 0:27spend the rest of her life with you?
- 0:29Or has she been slowly realizing that she was sort of sold a
- 0:32dream that never actually showed up?
- 0:34I have some rules for you from here on out.
- 0:36If you want to better your marriage, here's what you're
- 0:38going to do. If your wife could go back
- 0:41knowing everything she knows now about who you've become, would
- 0:44she still choose you? That's not a question designed
- 0:47to hurt you. It's the most important question
- 0:49every married man can ask, because the answer to that
- 0:53question is the difference between a marriage that thrives

- 3:12miss any of the exclusive content that's going to be on
- 3:15there. And with all that being said,
- 3:17let's dive right into it. In the beginning of a
- 3:19relationship, in the dating phase, like when you first
- 3:22started seeing your now wife, it's natural to sort of put on a
- 3:25false self. You put on your best self every
- 3:28time that you're going to be seeing her.
- 3:29You may make sure that you look nice, your clothes look nice,
- 3:32you make sure that you smell good.
- 3:34You know all these things and you present your best self.
- 3:36You're trying to charm her, you're trying to make her laugh,
- 3:39you're making jokes, you're being really polite, right?
- 3:42And I'm sure you remember that when you first started seeing
- 3:44your wife, when you were courting her into falling in
- 3:47love with you, you shared your dreams and your visions of life
- 3:50with her. You painted a picture of a
- 3:52future for her with your words that was filled with adventure
- 3:54and abundance and success. You told her all about where you
- 3:58were going in life and that she had a choice whether to come
- 4:00with you or not. This would happen over late
- 4:03night conversations, long chats. You are both putting on your
- 4:07best self, the best version of yourself, in order to charm her,
- 4:10in order to get her to fall in love with you.
- 4:12And somehow your charm was actually working.
- 4:15Somehow this beautiful, cute, amazing girl was actually giving
- 4:19you the time of day. So you have to ask yourself one
- 4:22serious question. Are you still that man?
- 4:25Are you the man she thought she was marrying when she decided
- 4:28that it was a great idea to spend the the rest of her life
- 4:30with you? Or has she been slowly realizing
- 4:33that she was sort of sold a dream that never actually showed
- 4:36up? And that's a tough question to
- 4:38ask. Am I still the same man that she
- 4:40married? Or am I still the man she
- 4:42thought she was married? And I know that you didn't set
- 4:45out to trick somebody. I know that she didn't set out
- 4:48to sell her a false dream of the future that never showed up and
- 4:51doesn't exist. But this is a natural process
- 4:54and it's way more common than you think.
- 4:56You are not alone in this at all.
- 4:58You wouldn't believe the number of guys that this one concept
- 5:01completely blows their mind, but we're going to call the version
- 5:04of you that showed up to win her, the version of you that you
- 5:08put on when you first started seeing her.
- 5:09We're going to call that the false self.
- 5:11And then there's the true self, the you that was revealed
- 5:14overtime. The true self, our true
- 5:17humanity, comes out naturally because we get really
- 5:19comfortable. We get so comfortable with this
- 5:22person and being around them that we start letting too much
- 5:25show you understand what I'm saying?
- 5:26Like there's too much of your true human self coming out.
- 5:29You stop impressing the other person and you naturally just
- 5:33kind of start doing the opposite of that.
- 5:35And one huge mistake that most married people make is once the
- 5:38ring is on the finger, once the marriage is set in stone, they
- 5:42think the work is done, the other person is locked down,
- 5:44mission accomplished. Now I can kind of relax into
- 5:47comfort and stop impressing this person.
- 5:49The job is done. They're mine.
- 5:51You understand what I'm saying? But that is a huge critical
- 5:53error and a huge mistake. And that is what causes so many
- 5:56marriages and the intimacy in the marriage, the love
- 6:00connection to fade overtime and sometimes die completely.
- 6:03You should have never stopped trying to impress your wife.
- 6:06You should have never stopped putting on your best self every
- 6:09day to charm her, to woo her, to make her fall in love with you
- 6:14and stay in love with you. And there are 5 main ways that
- 6:17men let themselves go in marriage.
- 6:19And you know, we often make the mistake of thinking that letting
- 6:22oneself go is a thing that women do.
- 6:25You know, there's a lot of emphasis and a lot of attention
- 6:28put on that though. When women get married, they let
- 6:30themselves go. But men do too, trust me.
- 6:33And you might be realizing that in some ways you have done the
- 6:36same thing. And the first way that men let
- 6:38themselves go is physical appearance and presentation.
- 6:41Your wife's perception of you is being crafted every single day
- 6:45subconsciously. And if the version of you that
- 6:47shows up for her every day is kind of a lazy slob, that is
- 6:51going to be all she knows you as.
- 6:53You are the lazy slob guide that has been crafted overtime.
- 6:56And again, this comes from getting too comfortable.
- 6:58And here's the thing, men work really hard.
- 7:01And here's one mistake that many men make.
- 7:03You work really hard. You've worked all week.
- 7:05So when you're at home, when you get off work, you put on some
- 7:08sweatpants, You get comfortable. You get comfortable on the
- 7:10couch. When it's your days off, let's
- 7:12say it's the weekend, you kind of slump into comfort again, the
- 7:15sweatpants or the gym shorts or sometimes even flip flops.
- 7:19You know what I'm saying? Like you want to be comfortable
- 7:21on your days off because you've been working really hard.
- 7:24The problem with that is that that's the only time that she
- 7:27sees you. That's her perception of you.
- 7:29She's not with you when you're at work, when you're at the
- 7:31office all dressed up or let's say you're a guy who builds
- 7:34houses or something like that. She doesn't get to see you in
- 7:37that mode where you're kind of put together.
- 7:39And maybe that would be sexy to her that you're in your
- 7:42construction gear working. You know, her perception of you
- 7:45is the guy who's relaxing, taking some time off, maybe
- 7:48having a few beers. So if you consider the way that
- 7:51you present yourself in front of her every time that she's going
- 7:54to see you, what does that look like?
- 7:56And back to the dating phase, when you first started seeing
- 7:58her, like I said, you made that you presented yourself in the
- 8:01best way possible. You made sure that you looked
- 8:04nice, that you smelled nice, that your clothes looked nice.
- 8:06On some level, you might have even been nervous or anxious
- 8:09that something was going to go wrong with your appearance that
- 8:12was going to embarrass you in front of her.
- 8:14What happened to that? You know she's still the same
- 8:16lady. So my best advice to you is if
- 8:18you're going to see your wife, make sure that you are putting
- 8:21on your best self. If it's your day off, get
- 8:24showered, get cleaned up, groom yourself, put on some nice
- 8:27clothes. And this could be an opportunity
- 8:29to flirt with her as well. If she hasn't seen that side of
- 8:31you in a while And she says something like, what are you
- 8:33getting all dressed up for? Say I'm getting dressed up for
- 8:36you. I was going to be seeing you and
- 8:37hanging out with you today. So I got dressed up.
- 8:40Something along those lines. And the second way that men let
- 8:42themselves go is personal hygiene and just basic manners.
- 8:46This goes back to getting cleaned up and presenting your
- 8:48best self as well. But again with the comfort
- 8:51thing. Let me ask you a question.
- 8:53Do you burp in front of your wife?
- 8:54Do you fart in front of your wife?
- 8:56Do you think that that's funny? And this is one that I get some
- 8:58pushback on because in a lot of relationships and a lot of
- 9:01couples, that's a normal thing. And couples do laugh about it.
- 9:04But I got to tell you that is subconsciously crafting her
- 9:08perception of you. This goes along with the guy who
- 9:11presents himself to her every single day.
- 9:13Are you rude to her? Do you think it's funny to do
- 9:16that? I have some rules for you from
- 9:17here on out. If you want to better your
- 9:19marriage, here's what you're going to do.
- 9:21Never again burp in front of your wife.
- 9:23Never again fart in front of your wife.
- 9:25Never again scratch your nuts in front of your wife or pick your
- 9:28nose. Basic hygiene and present your
- 9:30best self all the time if you want her to still be into you,
- 9:33if you still want to have sex in your marriage sometimes.
- 9:36Present your best self all the time so that you're not the
- 9:39gross guy, you're the desirable guy.
- 9:41Her perception of you is that you are a put together man who
- 9:45knows how to conduct himself in a normal situation.
- 9:47The third way that men let themselves go is ambition and
- 9:51vision. Like I said, when you first
- 9:53started seeing her, you told her your ambitions, your dreams,
- 9:56your goals, where you were going in life, and that she could come
- 9:59along with you. When did you stop doing that?
- 10:01Did you stop painting that future of adventure and
- 10:03abundance for her? Did you get too comfortable to
- 10:05where you don't have any dreams or visions for the future
- 10:08because your everyday routine actually works?
- 10:11Have you succumbed to comfort? Did you know no matter how old
- 10:15you are, that it is OK to have dreams still?
- 10:17It is OK to have ambition that is OK to step outside of
- 10:21comfort? Many men don't have a mission
- 10:23and a calling that they are pursuing with all their might
- 10:26and that is a huge, huge problem.
- 10:27You have to have a vision, a mission, something that you are
- 10:31working towards and one huge way that you can level up your
- 10:34marriage is by sharing that dream with her.
- 10:36While you're pursuing that thing, write the vision of your
- 10:39dream life with her. Say where do we want to live?
- 10:41What do we want to do? What, what dreams do we have
- 10:44together? Start dreaming again with your
- 10:46wife because if she sees you as a dead end, who's going nowhere
- 10:50and this might even be a subconscious thing like she's
- 10:52not looking at you and saying this guy is a dead end going
- 10:55nowhere. What happened to the dream?
- 10:56She can just feel it internally in her subconscious mind.
- 11:00She's saying what the heck happened?
- 11:02I thought that we were going somewhere, you know?
- 11:04But every day is turned into the same day and the years are going
- 11:07by like months and and they're going by way too fast.
- 11:11Have a dream, have some ambition.
- 11:13Find your calling and your purpose and pursue that thing
- 11:16relentlessly. Plan some trips and get excited
- 11:19about it. Don't let the mundane daily
- 11:21routine that actually works ruin your life and steal your life
- 11:25away from you. It is OK to still have dreams
- 11:28and goals and ambitions and still be going somewhere in
- 11:30life. So start doing that.
- 11:32The next way that men let themselves go in marriage is how
- 11:35you speak to her. When you first started seeing
- 11:38your wife, when you were first dating her, when you were
- 11:40putting on your best self, would you have ever spoken to her in
- 11:43the way that you speak to her now?
- 11:44And if you're having marriage problems, if you found this
- 11:47episode because you're having marriage problems, you know
- 11:49exactly what I'm talking about. Would you have ever talked to
- 11:52her the way that you talked to her now?
- 11:53Or if you did, would you have kicked your own ass?
- 11:56You know what I'm saying? Like speak to her still like
- 11:58you're trying to win. Speak to her still like she's
- 12:01that cute, precious woman who is actually giving you the time of
- 12:04day. Speak to her with respect.
- 12:07And one thing that I have men do, it's kind of a mantra, is
- 12:10when things get tense or things get hated or something annoys
- 12:14you, say in the back of your mind these words, I love her, I
- 12:17respect her, and I want what's best for her.
- 12:19Pause, take a moment and then talk to her like you actually
- 12:23love her because you do. Again, you get too comfortable.
- 12:26We get too comfortable in life when we live with someone and
- 12:30we're around them every single day, we slip up way too much.
- 12:33No longer are we going to slip, right?
- 12:35You're going to talk to her with respect, like you love her.
- 12:39And the fifth way that men let themselves go in marriage is
- 12:42intimacy and sexual effort. Did you stop trying to impress
- 12:46her physically as a lover? Many men make the mistake of
- 12:50stopping performing and like the daily routine, the daily mundane
- 12:54routine, how it actually works. The same thing can happen in
- 12:57sexuality and marriage. It becomes very routine.
- 13:00It's just a task to check off, if you're even checking it off
- 13:03anymore at all. But there has to be actual
- 13:06connection, actual intimacy and actual performance pleasing your
- 13:10wife if you want the intimacy to come back alive in your
- 13:13marriage, start pleasing your wife again, Start performing.
- 13:16Slow down a little bit, try some new things.
- 13:19And I'm not talking about being cheesy and acting like you're
- 13:22having an affair and meeting at a hotel or something or ordering
- 13:25something online to spice things up.
- 13:26I'm talking about genuinely trying to please her.
- 13:29It's not something to just get done really quick to have a
- 13:32release. It's it's a connection.
- 13:34It is a soul connection and it is sacred.
- 13:36So slow down, take some time, be intentional, be present in your
- 13:40lovemaking with your wife again. Because you know for a fact that
- 13:44when you first started having physical intimacy together
- 13:47again, you were trying to do your best job, you were putting
- 13:50on your best self every single time.
- 13:52She was the focus, impressing her was the focus.
- 13:55So get back to that. And if you're sitting there
- 13:57thinking OK I get it, but I have no idea where to start making
- 14:01these changes. I'm kind of lost on it.
- 14:03Like I hear what you're saying but how do I implement this in
- 14:06my own life? That's exactly why I built the
- 14:08Reforged Husband complete system.
- 14:10It's a step by step framework based on everything I know about
- 14:14being a fully optimized husband broken down into an online
- 14:17program that is the fast track to becoming the husband your
- 14:21wife deserves. If the version of you that you
- 14:23wish you could become after hearing these hard truths feels
- 14:27miles away from where you are right now, this, this program is
- 14:31the bridge. The transformation is real, but
- 14:33it requires a system, not just inspiration.
- 14:36There is a massive difference between hearing something and
- 14:39learning it and actually implementing it in your life.
- 14:42So if you want to dive into the Reforged husband complete
- 14:45system, the link for that is in the description of this episode.
- 14:48And listen, like I said, all of this stuff is natural.
- 14:51It just kind of happens. And you're definitely not alone.
- 14:53When I first met my now wife, who is the woman of my dreams, I
- 14:57was a ripped, fit construction worker.
- 14:59I worked in the all day long, the Florida heat, building
- 15:02custom homes. I had a six pack, I was tan, I
- 15:05was a hot guy. But then we got married and she
- 15:07started feeding ME3 meals per day plus snacks.
- 15:10And one day I looked in the mirror and I said I'm fat.
- 15:13It just kind of happens, man. So I've been guilty of some of
- 15:16the same things. I've gone through these things
- 15:18myself and that's why I teach it to other people, you know?
- 15:21It's a matter of recognizing it, becoming aware of it, and then
- 15:24making the necessary changes. Her perception of you is being
- 15:28crafted overtime in it exists in her subconscious mind.
- 15:32Think of it like a character, an avatar who you are, who she sees
- 15:35you as. Like I said, she probably
- 15:37doesn't look at you every single day and acknowledge that like
- 15:41this is the guy who XY and Z and This is why XY and ZI don't love
- 15:46him anymore. You know she's not thinking
- 15:48those thoughts. It's just her perception of you
- 15:51as a person. Think about any person in your
- 15:53life and how you see them. Everybody sees that person in a
- 15:56different way. It's it's a personal perception
- 15:59of that person and her perception, your wife's
- 16:02perception of you is who she knows you as, who she sees you
- 16:05as. When you show up, are you
- 16:06showing up as the strongman, the dreamy, handsome, charming guy,
- 16:10or are you showing up as something kind of undesirable,
- 16:13something different? If you were to really reflect on
- 16:15it, who are you in her perception of you?
- 16:18Because everybody's situation is different.
- 16:20Everybody lives differently. You know, you might not be the
- 16:23guy who wears sweatpants and sits on the couch drinking beer,
- 16:26scratching his nuts and being rude.
- 16:28But whoever you are, maybe it's in contrast to who she thought
- 16:31she was marrying, who she fell in love with.
- 16:33What parts of you are different now that what parts of you were
- 16:36revealed? How have you gotten too
- 16:38comfortable in front of her in your life?
- 16:40What does your situation look like?
- 16:42And really reflect on this. Intimacy, respect and connection
- 16:46erodes quietly, and most men don't become aware of it until
- 16:50it's too late. You wouldn't believe the number
- 16:52of guys who reach out to me for coaching and they're saying she
- 16:54served me divorce like it's over.
- 16:57I don't know what to do. I never thought about this stuff
- 16:59before until it was too late. It's like a shocker, a surprise.
- 17:02It's why I wish so badly that I could reach every married man in
- 17:06the world and say, hey, learn this stuff now before it's too
- 17:09late. Learn it ahead of time because
- 17:11most men don't start seeking this information until they
- 17:14realize that it's all falling apart.
- 17:16And if you're one of those guys who feels like it's all falling
- 17:19apart, listen, I have been there myself.
- 17:21I was with a lady for 10 years and we had two children together
- 17:25and I was a nightmare in that relationship.
- 17:27I thought that I was doing all of the right things.
- 17:29I thought that I was being a Goodman.
- 17:31This is before I learned any of this stuff.
- 17:33And one day she packed up and she left with our two children
- 17:36and moved in with her parents and told me that it was over.
- 17:39And in that moment, I had two choices.
- 17:41We all have two choices when it all falls apart.
- 17:44Either I could crash and burn like everybody expected me to,
- 17:47or I could level up and rise and learn what it means to be a
- 17:50Goodman, an honorable man, a good husband.
- 17:53And that's what I chose to do. I chose to level up every aspect
- 17:57of my life. I dove into books, podcasts,
- 17:59YouTube, tube videos, courses, everything.
- 18:02I wanted to know what it means to be a man.
- 18:04I chose to level up my life and you have that choice right now
- 18:07too. Are you going to crash and burn
- 18:09and succumb to this situation? Are you going to level up like
- 18:13you didn't even know what's possible in your life?
- 18:15Are you going to make the decision to transform your life
- 18:18and become the best version of yourself, the man that you were
- 18:21called to be? That's the choice you have.
- 18:23Start impressing your wife again.
- 18:25That is the overall message of this episode is START impressing
- 18:30your wife again like when you first started seeing her.
- 18:32Everything that you have gotten too comfortable with, everything
- 18:35that you have let go. Reverse it starting right now.
- 18:38Consider her perception of you, who she sees when you're around,
- 18:41who she sees on your days off. Who is that man?
- 18:44Are you showing up as the dreamy, handsome, ambitious,
- 18:48goal driven man who has it all together that you put yourself
- 18:51together every day and present your best self?
- 18:53That you look nice so your clothes look nice, that you
- 18:56smell nice, that you talk to her with respect?
- 18:58Because here's the thing, it it's possible to shift her
- 19:01perception of you. Her perception of you is being
- 19:03crafted overtime, like I said, and that never just cuts off or
- 19:07changes. You can change who you are in
- 19:09her eyes. She might even say to her
- 19:11girlfriends when she's having a girls day.
- 19:13Like I don't know what's gotten into him, but I love it.
- 19:16He's really just killing it in life all the sudden.
- 19:18But ultimately what this whole episode series is about is that
- 19:22it starts with you. It starts on the inside.
- 19:24Most people when they're having marriage problems, when their
- 19:26marriage is falling apart, is they try to fix the other person
- 19:30or try to figure out what the other person's problem is.
- 19:32That's not how you fix this at all.
- 19:34You fix this by looking at yourself and saying it starts
- 19:37with me becoming the best version of yourself that you
- 19:40possibly can be. Control what you can and what
- 19:42you can control is yourself. You can't control her.
- 19:45You can't control how she feels about you.
- 19:47You can't tell her what to do. You can't force her to fall back
- 19:51in love with you, but you can control yourself.
- 19:53You can become the best version of yourself that you've ever
- 19:56been and change her perception of you overtime.
- 19:59And it might take some. Time.
- 20:00It's a process. Don't get discouraged if you
- 20:02start putting on your best self every day and she's not falling
- 20:05down at your feet all the sudden.
- 20:07This is crafted overtime. It is a consistent process and
- 20:10if you stay consistent in that process, her perception of you
- 20:13will be shifted and changed. Trust me.
- 20:15And if your situation is urgent, if your wife is cold and she's
- 20:19checked out, if you don't know what to do, if you feel like
- 20:21you're really running out of time, I want to talk to you.
- 20:24Personally, I do one-on-one coaching with men who are ready
- 20:27to do the real work. No group calls, no generic
- 20:30advice, just me and you. And we can get to the source of
- 20:33what is actually causing everything to fall apart, who
- 20:35you actually need to be based on your specific situation.
- 20:39And the link to apply to that one-on-one coaching is in the
- 20:41description of this episode as well in the link tree link.
- 20:44And on the next episode of this series next week, we're going to
- 20:48get into the psychology of what has actually been holding you
- 20:51back. The invisible false beliefs that
- 20:53have been quietly running your marriage into the ground without
- 20:56you even realizing it. But yeah, that's what I got for
- 20:59you guys today. Super excited about this series.
- 21:02I'm so glad that I chose to do another marriage series.
- 21:05This is one of the things that I love to talk about the most.
- 21:07Like I said, it's my passion to transform men, transform their
- 21:11marriages. So again, I'm so glad that
- 21:12you're here for this and here in this time diving into this
- 21:16series. If you're getting this episode
- 21:18around when it comes out, I just wanted to say happy Father's Day
- 21:21to all the fathers, all the dads out there.
- 21:24And if you're getting this sometime later, happy belated
- 21:26Father's Day in the year 2026. But it has been awesome to talk
- 21:30to you today. Now get out there, kill it.
- 21:32Level up every aspect of your life, a life of overflowing
- 21:36abundance away to you. On the other side of you
- 21:38deciding to make the switch, make the change and level up
- 21:41every aspect of your life, a life of overflowing abundance
- 21:44away to you. There is a great calling and a
- 21:46great purpose for you in this life.
- 21:48You listening to this right now. I love you, I'm proud of you,
- 21:51and I'll see you on the next one.
- 21:52Thanks guys. Bye.
