- 0:32Speaker 2: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:35Speaker 2: with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley along with
- 0:39Speaker 2: Trey Trenholm and Raj Sharma. Last week we talked about
- 0:44Speaker 2: the drama surrounding Stranger Things and how Millie Bobby Brown had, allegedly,
- 0:52Speaker 2: according to an unconfirmed report in The Daily Mail, filed
- 0:56Speaker 2: a bullying claim against co star David Harbor prior to
- 1:00Speaker 2: filming season five of Stranger Things. Neither of their camps
- 1:04Speaker 2: came out to deny it. There was no official statement
- 1:07Speaker 2: from the show, and then the premiere happened last Thursday.
- 1:10Speaker 2: At the premiere, everything looked, you know, pretty good. So
- 1:16Speaker 2: is the Stranger Things drama between Millie Bobby Brown and
- 1:18Speaker 2: David Harbor reel or is it made up tabloid trash?
- 1:22Speaker 2: They see more than fine at that premiere. They not
- 1:25Speaker 2: only pose for photographs together on the red carpet, but
- 1:27Speaker 2: they also rowed together to the event. So is this
- 1:32Speaker 2: story about her filing a bullying claim against him true
- 1:36Speaker 2: or not? Trey, what do you think?
- 1:43Speaker 1: I think? I don't know. I don't believe she probably
- 1:46Speaker 1: filed it. I think there may have been some chit chat,
- 1:48Speaker 1: you know, chatter that she felt, you know, things got
- 1:51Speaker 1: too intense. But I feel like it's something that either
- 1:56Speaker 1: someone threw out to try to throw monkey wrench in
- 1:58Speaker 1: the whole thing, or just a publicity stunt.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Rise, where do you fall on this?
- 2:03Speaker 3: I'm going to go publicity stunt there. That's to get
- 2:06Speaker 3: the whole thing out of the way. People can pretend
- 2:10Speaker 3: to like each other. They're called actors. I don't know
- 2:14Speaker 3: if you ever watched the show Castle, but Nathan Fillion
- 2:17Speaker 3: and Stana Kattika hated each other.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Really, Yeah, so that's nothing new. I mean, shows have
- 2:25Speaker 2: co stars. It's actually fairly common for the co stars
- 2:29Speaker 2: to be at odds. It was very famous in the
- 2:32Speaker 2: with Tom Hardy and Charlie Sturrun and the Mad Max
- 2:34Speaker 2: Fury Road movie. You just mentioning, what is it.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Trey, everyone who's ever worked with William Shatner.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Yeah, but the shows. But the shows have been great,
- 2:46Speaker 2: They've they've all good actors being able to perform around
- 2:49Speaker 2: an ego of that size something Trey and I also
- 2:52Speaker 2: know a thing or two about so these types of
- 2:56Speaker 2: situations do arise, and you put whatever personal feelings you
- 2:59Speaker 2: have a side for the sake of your job, right
- 3:03Speaker 2: or for even maybe higher than that, the sake of
- 3:07Speaker 2: the show, which maybe you love you like. I'll put
- 3:09Speaker 2: up with this because it's for this great thing. So
- 3:15Speaker 2: now that you guys have what you think the situation is,
- 3:18Speaker 2: let me see if your opinions change when you hear
- 3:21Speaker 2: about what the Duffer brothers, the co creators of Stranger
- 3:25Speaker 2: Things and executive producer Sean Levy, had to say about it.
- 3:29Speaker 2: All Right, we've got following an unverified report, okay that
- 3:37Speaker 2: we've already covered. The Duffer brother said, obviously you understand
- 3:42Speaker 2: I can't get into personal on set matters. That's Ross
- 3:45Speaker 2: Duffer to the Hollywood reporter. This is on the red carpet.
- 3:48Speaker 2: The outlet noted he was standing next to his brother
- 3:50Speaker 2: Matt during this conversation. He added, We've been doing this
- 3:52Speaker 2: for ten years with this cast and at this point
- 3:54Speaker 2: their family, and we deeply care about them. So you know,
- 3:57Speaker 2: nothing matters more than just having a set where everyone
- 4:00Speaker 2: one feels safe and happy. Okay, Now, for Sean Leavy,
- 4:05Speaker 2: you have to create a respectful workplace where everyone feels
- 4:08Speaker 2: comfortable and safe, and so we did everything to build
- 4:10Speaker 2: that environment, and we're proud of the fact that we did.
- 4:12Speaker 4: So.
- 4:13Speaker 2: I've read a bunch of stories and they ranged from
- 4:14Speaker 2: wildly inaccurate to there's so much noise around it. But
- 4:17Speaker 2: the truth is that we view this crew and this
- 4:19Speaker 2: cast as family, and so we treat each other with
- 4:22Speaker 2: respect and that's always been bedrock. Something absolutely happened on
- 4:30Speaker 2: that set. I've had enough conversations with corporate lawyers in weird,
- 4:33Speaker 2: funky HR situations to know when they've been basically told
- 4:37Speaker 2: what to say.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that's a publicist writing it for them.
- 4:42Speaker 2: That's a publicist meeting with a lawyer and then coming
- 4:45Speaker 2: together and saying, this is our message on this story.
- 4:50Speaker 2: So this is a very HR response from the co
- 4:54Speaker 2: creators and executive producer. So something absolutely happened. So now
- 4:59Speaker 2: I'm thinking that this goes to show how good of
- 5:02Speaker 2: performers David Harbor and Millie Bobby Brown might just be
- 5:05Speaker 2: because the best performance in Stranger Things might have been
- 5:07Speaker 2: on that red carpet last Thursday.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Or it could have been something that did get blown out.
- 5:13Speaker 1: You know, there was conflict, but then they made up,
- 5:18Speaker 1: I mean along the way. I mean it's not like,
- 5:21Speaker 1: you know, the filming of these things is over a
- 5:22Speaker 1: week or two.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Yeah, and you're right, I mean you're talking about I
- 5:26Speaker 2: think this season, this final season, I think they shot
- 5:31Speaker 2: it close to a year of production. I mean it
- 5:36Speaker 2: was months and months at least, I know, at least
- 5:39Speaker 2: five months of production. And the way these types of
- 5:41Speaker 2: things go because all these other because it's such a
- 5:43Speaker 2: large cast, they all have all these other projects as
- 5:45Speaker 2: well some people, this might have taken place over the
- 5:48Speaker 2: course of a year just to get everyone's schedules and
- 5:50Speaker 2: everything played in so Trey, I think you may be
- 5:53Speaker 2: onto something there. It might be a little bit of
- 5:54Speaker 2: a it might be truth to both pieces that something
- 5:58Speaker 2: may have happened, but they also may have just made up. Well.
- 6:00Speaker 1: There's also there's a third factor that I think probably
- 6:04Speaker 1: goes unnoticed, which is for David Harbor, he started when
- 6:09Speaker 1: she was a child, and you have now gone from
- 6:12Speaker 1: basically child to adult, and there may have been some
- 6:15Speaker 1: things that like were funny with them between the two
- 6:19Speaker 1: of them when she was a child or a teenager
- 6:21Speaker 1: that all of a sudden she didn't like as an adult,
- 6:24Speaker 1: and you may have got in trouble for.
- 6:26Speaker 2: That, but yeah, yeah, she may have had to have
- 6:29Speaker 2: a conversation with him that kind of centered around you're
- 6:33Speaker 2: not my father. You may have fatherly feelings towards me
- 6:37Speaker 2: because of this role, this dynamic that we have on
- 6:39Speaker 2: the show, But you're not my daddy. Do you guys
- 6:44Speaker 2: know who her now father in law is? Bon Jovi?
- 6:52Speaker 4: Oh yeah, that's right.
- 6:54Speaker 2: So I kind of wonder, and this is complete guesswork
- 6:58Speaker 2: on my part. I can't help, but wonder did he
- 7:02Speaker 2: say something to her about getting married so young? Because
- 7:07Speaker 2: when I saw the headline that said she was engaged
- 7:10Speaker 2: and not engaged to just anyone, but engaged to the
- 7:12Speaker 2: son of John bon Jovi, my first thought was, well,
- 7:15Speaker 2: that ain't gonna last.
- 7:18Speaker 3: My first thought was, doesn't it suck to just always
- 7:20Speaker 3: be known as the son of John bon Jovi?
- 7:25Speaker 2: You know what? You know what, this may actually be
- 7:27Speaker 2: a perfect relationship for him because he's used to being
- 7:31Speaker 2: in someone's shadow, right, So by marrying Millie Bobby Brown,
- 7:35Speaker 2: he may be comfortable in that shadow because he's been
- 7:37Speaker 2: in his father's shadow his entire life.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I mean he runs the family. I think
- 7:43Speaker 1: they have a wine, a winery or something like that.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I think he's kind of embraced being John bon Jovi's son,
- 7:51Speaker 1: and you know rightfully, so not a bad gig. No,
- 7:54Speaker 1: it's not.
- 7:55Speaker 4: Believe me.
- 7:55Speaker 2: If there was a posting for that on LinkedIn, I'd
- 7:58Speaker 2: be all over it. I'd be like, hey, I make
- 8:00Speaker 2: my resume a match.
- 8:03Speaker 4: You guys are white, one of you might get the job.
- 8:05Speaker 4: I'm not.
- 8:10Speaker 2: A position. Yeah. No, they would find a position for you,
- 8:13Speaker 2: because I feel like they would have to, but not
- 8:16Speaker 2: that one.
- 8:17Speaker 3: No.
- 8:17Speaker 4: Yeah, nobody would believe that.
- 8:19Speaker 3: If I was like, hey, I'm buon Jobe's son, They're like, hey,
- 8:21Speaker 3: you're lying.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Or he doesn't know it yet.
- 8:29Speaker 1: When was that world tour?
- 8:32Speaker 4: Yeah, I went to India once. That's all it takes.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Better Alive is about to bring on a whole new meaning.
- 8:43Speaker 2: So do slippery when wet. We don't know how he
- 8:51Speaker 2: did it, but somehow Richie and John managed to make
- 8:54Speaker 2: the Ganges even wetter.
- 8:59Speaker 4: And that was your Richie's alcohol.
- 9:05Speaker 2: I mean, it really is. It really is a fascinating story.
- 9:08Speaker 2: So and I couldn't help, but I was. I was
- 9:09Speaker 2: set to let it go until I read this story
- 9:11Speaker 2: the other day about what the Duffer brothers said, what
- 9:14Speaker 2: Sean Leevy said, and I was like, that is three
- 9:18Speaker 2: departments coming together, HR, public Relations and legal telling those
- 9:24Speaker 2: people here's what you're going to say.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Well, I mean, you're also working for what is now
- 9:29Speaker 1: one of the behemoths of the entertainment industry and Netflix.
- 9:33Speaker 1: So I'm sure they carefully crafted this one.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Yeah. And it's fascinating too, because this is something this
- 9:41Speaker 2: is another wrinkle about the Stranger things that I love,
- 9:43Speaker 2: and this is more of a Netflix deal. This is
- 9:46Speaker 2: one of the few shows that Netflix is going to
- 9:48Speaker 2: allow to actually finish on Netflix because one of the
- 9:52Speaker 2: things Netflix has, you know, going against it. One of
- 9:56Speaker 2: the comments and always gets online is that they ca
- 10:00Speaker 2: Hansel shows when they're popular, Like there's there's countless shows
- 10:05Speaker 2: that have seasons that have gone only one or two
- 10:07Speaker 2: seasons at Netflix, like now We're good and there they're done,
- 10:12Speaker 2: and and it leaves a lot of the fans going, well,
- 10:13Speaker 2: what the hell we need to we need the rest
- 10:15Speaker 2: of this show. So A Stranger thinks it's one of
- 10:17Speaker 2: those you know that it's actually let you know, finish.
- 10:22Speaker 3: But didn't they do the opposite with like, uh, designated Survivor.
- 10:25Speaker 3: I think that was on CBS ABC, Uh, Abc, Okay,
- 10:30Speaker 3: and then I think it was two or three seasons
- 10:32Speaker 3: and that canceled and then Netflix picked it back up.
- 10:35Speaker 2: You know what, You're right, that is something that they
- 10:37Speaker 2: have done, and that, to me, that's very smart on
- 10:39Speaker 2: streaming services part, which is if something didn't do great
- 10:42Speaker 2: on broadcast, you can save it and get some good
- 10:45Speaker 2: numbers on it on streaming. And I think it did
- 10:46Speaker 2: better numbers on streaming that it did on ABC.
- 10:49Speaker 1: And did well and famously they did that with the
- 10:51Speaker 1: rest of development.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's right, and one could argue that's one
- 10:57Speaker 2: of the things that helped propel Netflix to its current
- 11:00Speaker 2: someome status.
- 11:02Speaker 1: But I think they're also I think they're more likely
- 11:07Speaker 1: to give shows they create a longer run. I mean,
- 11:11Speaker 1: Umbrella Academy was a great show for three seasons and
- 11:17Speaker 1: then Netflix let it have a fourth season and it
- 11:19Speaker 1: was just a money grab. I mean, it was awful.
- 11:21Speaker 1: And I'm that's why I'm hoping this season of Stranger
- 11:26Speaker 1: Things is good. I hope it's not a what was
- 11:31Speaker 1: the show on HBO that everyone went crazy about with
- 11:33Speaker 1: the last season?
- 11:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm with you. Trey because one of the most
- 11:40Speaker 2: difficult things to do if you have a successful television show,
- 11:45Speaker 2: or even to a certain degree, a successful film franchise,
- 11:49Speaker 2: is once you announced to everyone that it's ending, sticking
- 11:53Speaker 2: the landing, sticking the finale to where everyone, all the fans,
- 11:58Speaker 2: feel satisfied, the story feels like it's ending in its
- 12:03Speaker 2: proper place, something that makes sense that but it's also
- 12:07Speaker 2: not just fan service.
- 12:08Speaker 1: You know.
- 12:10Speaker 2: That's very difficult, and very few, very few television shows
- 12:14Speaker 2: have actually stuck the finale. I mean, we know Game
- 12:18Speaker 2: of Thrones is one of the best recent examples that
- 12:20Speaker 2: completely botched it. The Sopranos tied itself up, but it
- 12:25Speaker 2: was a controversial ending because it just went to black
- 12:29Speaker 2: and started playing Journey and everyone's like, well, what theF happens?
- 12:33Speaker 2: But it keeps us talking about it, So to me,
- 12:36Speaker 2: ultimately that was probably a good ending.
- 12:40Speaker 3: They got when the Sopranos when it went to black,
- 12:42Speaker 3: because that was a line from Tony's talking to a
- 12:46Speaker 3: big pussy. He said, you know, what do you think
- 12:48Speaker 3: happens when you go He goes, well, Tony, I think
- 12:50Speaker 3: it just all goes to black.
- 12:52Speaker 4: So that's where that came from. When that happened, it goes.
- 12:55Speaker 3: That's something like one point two million people called their
- 12:58Speaker 3: cable providers to see what happened.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Yeah, because they just thought that HBO got turned off. Yeah,
- 13:09Speaker 2: everyone's like unplugging their like unscrewing their co acts, blowing
- 13:14Speaker 2: on it, screwing it back in. See if it's dad
- 13:16Speaker 2: or they're turning stuff off and on. They're calling HBO,
- 13:19Speaker 2: They're calling cable like, what the hell happened to my show? Yeah,
- 13:24Speaker 2: all of a sudden, the intro to six Feet Under
- 13:26Speaker 2: starts and like, I'm not ready for this. I need
- 13:29Speaker 2: I need to know what happened to Tony and his family
- 13:31Speaker 2: and that damn diner.
- 13:33Speaker 4: Isn't there rumors of that coming back too?
- 13:35Speaker 3: I know he's past i'ms Gendelfini, but I heard there
- 13:38Speaker 3: was rumors of that show coming back or maybe a no,
- 13:42Speaker 3: there was a prequel to.
- 13:43Speaker 2: It, right, Yeah, there was a prequel and his son
- 13:45Speaker 2: played him. Anything more than that, I'm not sure of.
- 13:48Speaker 2: But as far as grand finales go, you're right, Trey,
- 13:52Speaker 2: because you and I have seen every single episode of
- 13:55Speaker 2: Stranger Things, raj I forget. Have you seen all of
- 13:57Speaker 2: it or just some of it? I've seen none of it,
- 14:00Speaker 2: all right, so you suck. But the thing is, though
- 14:04Speaker 2: you can at least still relate to this from a
- 14:06Speaker 2: general standpoint when it comes to this final season drama
- 14:11Speaker 2: aside true or not? Just put that aside. I find
- 14:16Speaker 2: myself feeling like Ricky Bobby in Talladegon Knights at the
- 14:21Speaker 2: dinner table, praying to the sweet Baby Jesus, please let
- 14:24Speaker 2: this Stranger Things finale be good. It doesn't even have
- 14:27Speaker 2: to be amazing, it doesn't have to be great. Just
- 14:30Speaker 2: let it be good and I will be fine with it.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Dear sweet Baby Jesus, please let this be good.
- 14:41Speaker 4: Now I want to watch this to see if it's terrible.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Look, I highly recommend the show. You've got four seasons
- 14:50Speaker 2: to watch. It's really good, and if you're dedicated to it,
- 14:55Speaker 2: you can get the four seasons in before the fifth
- 14:58Speaker 2: starts on the twenty sixth.
- 15:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I pass.
- 15:04Speaker 2: What do you have against joy?
- 15:08Speaker 3: Just the concept like I'm not a okay, I'm not
- 15:11Speaker 3: a sci fi guy or a.
- 15:15Speaker 4: Whatever you want to call it.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Like, so when somebody was describing and this maybe what
- 15:19Speaker 3: it was, somebody was describing it to me, and they're like,
- 15:21Speaker 3: somebody's in the lights or something like that in the
- 15:24Speaker 3: beginning first season.
- 15:25Speaker 2: See, here's your problem. You're listening to people tell you
- 15:29Speaker 2: things about the show out of context. Almost every show
- 15:34Speaker 2: that has something supernatural is going to sound ridiculous out
- 15:37Speaker 2: of context. That's why you have to watch the show
- 15:39Speaker 2: for yourself to understand how what that actually means in
- 15:43Speaker 2: context of the show. When you see the show, talking
- 15:46Speaker 2: through the lights actually makes sense.
- 15:49Speaker 4: Yes, it sure does.
- 15:55Speaker 2: I realize what your problem is. You'd rather make fun
- 15:57Speaker 2: of something than understand it. Yes, I didn't realize that
- 16:05Speaker 2: was not clear. Right.
- 16:15Speaker 1: You're in the treehouse.

- 18:26Speaker 2: the Cooks. All right, So, in the first segment, we
- 18:28Speaker 2: talked about Millie, Bobby Brown and David Harbor perhaps putting
- 18:31Speaker 2: on their greatest performances with stranger things by pretending to
- 18:37Speaker 2: be completely cool with each other on the red carpet.
- 18:40Speaker 2: And they might be, but for now, for the sake
- 18:42Speaker 2: of our segment here and segues, let's pretend it really
- 18:46Speaker 2: is the best performance either of them have ever put on.
- 18:50Speaker 2: That being said, is it better than this performance that
- 18:55Speaker 2: the brand new Miss World Chile had over the weekend?
- 19:01Speaker 4: Excuse who right now?
- 19:06Speaker 5: Wadd bad no?
- 19:27Speaker 3: Wohd no.
- 19:49Speaker 2: No no, not that they've asked me, but ninety seven won.
- 19:58Speaker 2: The Eagle has an opportunity to to do something really
- 20:01Speaker 2: great for their next BFD show. Also also, Miss Chile
- 20:08Speaker 2: goes hard.
- 20:10Speaker 3: Yeah, and who you talk about a performance like she's
- 20:13Speaker 3: so hot. I don't think she could yodel. I wouldn't care.
- 20:19Speaker 3: She could play the spoons, I don't.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Go I would.
- 20:24Speaker 2: I think people would pay a lot of money to
- 20:26Speaker 2: see her just sitting on a stool playing some spoons
- 20:28Speaker 2: on you know what, playing some spoons on a front
- 20:30Speaker 2: porch somewhere.
- 20:32Speaker 4: But still doing death metal while playing the spoons.
- 20:35Speaker 2: That's okay, yeah, death spoons.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Is it cheating to have your other personality do your
- 20:42Speaker 1: talent because I feel like that.
- 20:46Speaker 4: No.
- 20:47Speaker 2: I think I think that should be completely fine because
- 20:49Speaker 2: in the world of pageantry, it's supposed to be very
- 20:52Speaker 2: accepting now right the way the world's supposed to be,
- 20:55Speaker 2: So they have to take mental health, uh seriously. So
- 20:58Speaker 2: if you have two or three other people inside you,
- 21:03Speaker 2: then that's all. That's all part of the package. And
- 21:07Speaker 2: at some point, if you're representing Chile at the Missworld competition,
- 21:14Speaker 2: I think it's important for the entire country of Chile
- 21:16Speaker 2: to know how many people are inside you because you're
- 21:19Speaker 2: going to represent the country.
- 21:22Speaker 1: I feel like there are a string of ex boyfriends
- 21:25Speaker 1: that when they heard that on national TV, all of
- 21:27Speaker 1: a sudden got in the fetal position PTSD all of
- 21:34Speaker 1: a sudden came out.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Yeah, because at the time they didn't realize that she
- 21:38Speaker 2: was in a band, Like they just thought that was
- 21:40Speaker 2: her just mad, she was just rehearsing.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Yeah. And then kind of like Taylor Swift does, she
- 21:49Speaker 2: takes all this Miss Chile takes all of her relationship
- 21:51Speaker 2: drama and funnels it into her death metal singing.
- 21:55Speaker 4: But I don't understand does anybody understand the words?
- 22:04Speaker 2: Now, I'm I'm, I'm gonna tray. It's more it's more
- 22:07Speaker 2: melody based at this.
- 22:08Speaker 3: Point, because in the beginning I thought it was her
- 22:10Speaker 3: death metal version of Somewhere over the Rainbow. I don't
- 22:13Speaker 3: know why I heard that.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Uh. Now, there's there's a song in here that it
- 22:19Speaker 2: sounds familiar, but I can't quite place it. But this
- 22:22Speaker 2: let's see if we can. We'll play it again and
- 22:23Speaker 2: see if this song sounds familiar or maybe it is
- 22:26Speaker 2: Somewhere over the Rainbow, you know, death metal. See right here,
- 22:48Speaker 2: it sounds like what is it Lincoln Is it Lincoln Park?
- 22:50Speaker 2: Don No, that's I feel like it's corn or something.
- 22:54Speaker 2: It sounds like bodies, sounds like drum. Yeah, listen, to
- 22:59Speaker 2: it here. No, yeah, I have no idea if that's
- 23:20Speaker 2: English or not. And I think Trey's right. I don't
- 23:22Speaker 2: think anybody cares that being said, Ignacia Fernandez is there?
- 23:27Speaker 3: Not?
- 23:28Speaker 2: Is her name? Ignasia Fernandez was crowned Miss World Chile
- 23:32Speaker 2: twenty twenty five. Do a no small part to her
- 23:34Speaker 2: death metal vocalization. This is an original song by her
- 23:39Speaker 2: and her death metal band Decesses that might be in
- 23:44Speaker 2: Chile and Spanish. I'm not sure if that translates English
- 23:46Speaker 2: or not. This is at the Miss World Chile semifinals.
- 23:50Speaker 2: The vocalist, model, and animal rights advocate beat out nineteen
- 23:53Speaker 2: other finalists to be crowded Miss World Chile twenty twenty five.
- 23:57Speaker 2: And by beat out, I assume they mean she actually
- 24:00Speaker 2: beat them?
- 24:01Speaker 1: Yes, Uh does that mean she compete in like Miss Universe.
- 24:06Speaker 2: I'm hoping so yeah, yeah, because yeah, because I yeah,
- 24:11Speaker 2: I think this was her winning the crown in Chile. Yeah,
- 24:15Speaker 2: And so now she's going to go on to the
- 24:17Speaker 2: international competition and the other competitors got to be thinking,
- 24:22Speaker 2: oh no. And also I think we have a I
- 24:26Speaker 2: think we have a great premise for like another Miss
- 24:28Speaker 2: Congeniality sequel, but.
- 24:32Speaker 3: It was nice to see that the bass was being
- 24:33Speaker 3: cleaned by last year's Miss Chile.
- 24:38Speaker 2: It's that camaraderie you don't always good in the American side,
- 24:41Speaker 2: you know.
- 24:43Speaker 4: I was trying to figure out who had better hair.
- 24:47Speaker 4: That is fantastic.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Yeah, anyone else have goosebumps?
- 25:16Speaker 4: No, I'm thinking with them ATSD.
- 25:21Speaker 1: I'm thinking if like the Ghostbusters had one of their scanners,
- 25:24Speaker 1: you would just seems like five different beams just floating
- 25:27Speaker 1: around in there.
- 25:29Speaker 2: They're all at full attention. Win.
- 25:35Speaker 1: That's not how did you win?
- 25:37Speaker 4: I came off my meds. That's how it.
- 25:40Speaker 2: We're gonna have to cross the streams Ray. There is
- 25:49Speaker 2: no misworld, there is only Zeel. Let me just point out,
- 25:58Speaker 2: though this was not the most amazing performance over the weekend,
- 26:00Speaker 2: there is one that might actually take the crown from
- 26:03Speaker 2: Miss Chile. And we have our very own ras Sharma to.
- 26:06Speaker 7: Thing for this sabouts and I take on and.
- 26:12Speaker 5: She's got the top of my lungs.
- 26:14Speaker 2: What's going on? Wait for it? And say and saying
- 26:21Speaker 2: nothing and German nothings in the tap b bees, the
- 26:28Speaker 2: bes in the tap b bees in the drop.
- 26:32Speaker 4: Yeah, his parents are so proud.
- 26:40Speaker 1: It was gonna be.
- 26:41Speaker 4: It was gonna be our doctor.
- 26:44Speaker 2: He still can be. He's just gonna be a doctor
- 26:47Speaker 2: with a side hustle.
- 26:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean he gets a lot. I mean I've
- 26:50Speaker 3: seen a few of his videos and they're just as bad.
- 26:55Speaker 8: Uh.
- 26:55Speaker 3: But the see, that's the thing. The confidence is what
- 26:58Speaker 3: sells that. He looks like he's having a great time.
- 27:01Speaker 3: My ears don't. But but he is having a blast.
- 27:07Speaker 2: If we're being honest though. I mean his lyrics mixed
- 27:11Speaker 2: in with the four non blondes, it does work. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 27:16Speaker 2: I mean this is over.
- 27:17Speaker 3: I mean I'm assuming over time he's figured this out
- 27:19Speaker 3: because now he's finding his own voice, which he needs
- 27:22Speaker 3: to lower.
- 27:23Speaker 4: Uh, he needs to alter that volume.
- 27:30Speaker 2: And I'll set bout side and I take on good
- 27:33Speaker 2: and bevide She's going to top of my.
- 27:37Speaker 7: Lungs whiles going on.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Drop it, just saying and saying nothing the books, German,
- 27:48Speaker 2: nothing abasing the tap.
- 27:50Speaker 5: B bes in the CAB's in the tap b bees
- 27:54Speaker 5: in the drop.
- 27:56Speaker 3: Yeah you sing it, Sonjay, Oh my gosh. It's just
- 28:12Speaker 3: you know, he he's got to be like a mini
- 28:14Speaker 3: celebrity in India somewhere.
- 28:18Speaker 2: Give me figuratively or literally, like maybe he's really tiny.
- 28:21Speaker 2: We just don't know it.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Maybe that's what it is.
- 28:23Speaker 3: He's tiny, And that's what it explains the voice, because
- 28:25Speaker 3: nobody should have a pitch outside of like Arry Gibb,
- 28:30Speaker 3: Like nobody needs to have a pitch that high.
- 28:34Speaker 1: I just I feel sorry for him because I feel
- 28:36Speaker 1: like he's the kid that got picked last, you know,
- 28:39Speaker 1: to play sports, because that's supposed to be You're supposed
- 28:42Speaker 1: to do that with two people. But he just hit
- 28:44Speaker 1: it up. No one picked him, so he had to
- 28:47Speaker 1: do both parts one.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Yeah, he's that one kid that actually plays tennis with
- 28:54Speaker 2: the other half up right.
- 28:59Speaker 4: What I'm saying is we're Indian kids. We always got
- 29:02Speaker 4: picked last. It didn't matter what side of the globe
- 29:04Speaker 4: you were on.
- 29:05Speaker 3: Nobody would pick up basketballs like Sharma's the one.
- 29:12Speaker 2: It turns out that the Western hemisphere didn't have the
- 29:15Speaker 2: exclusive on that.
- 29:16Speaker 3: Yeah, that's why there's three Indians in Okay, two point
- 29:20Speaker 3: four billion of us, only three have played in the
- 29:23Speaker 3: NBA Okay, and none of them play anymore one's a
- 29:26Speaker 3: professional wrestler than two of them are a real estate.
- 29:29Speaker 2: But also, like the three billion other ones you just mentioned,
- 29:32Speaker 2: they also were not picked first.
- 29:34Speaker 3: No, that's why they had time to go have sex.
- 29:38Speaker 3: They weren't they weren't playing any sports, Like, that's the
- 29:40Speaker 3: why we just keep pro creating. Yeah, you'll never hear,
- 29:43Speaker 3: you know, a basketball game where you know, like I've
- 29:47Speaker 3: said this before, you won't be sitting at a bar.
- 29:49Speaker 4: This is how we're not known for athletics.
- 29:50Speaker 3: You'll never be sitting at a bar and some guy
- 29:53Speaker 3: turned you and be like, oh man, cowboys would have
- 29:55Speaker 3: won had Patail caught the ball.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Like, you'll never.
- 30:00Speaker 4: That'll never happen.
- 30:02Speaker 2: So what you're saying is you can have a medical expert,
- 30:05Speaker 2: doctor Sanjay Gupta on you know, like CNN. Yes, but
- 30:10Speaker 2: you're not gonna get a doctor SONJ like you had
- 30:12Speaker 2: doctor J in the NBA.
- 30:14Speaker 4: No, unless he's actually the team doctor.

- 31:19Speaker 2: it is Tuesday inside the treehouse. This means it is
- 31:22Speaker 2: time for Treehouse talkback.
- 31:27Speaker 8: Hey guys, it's Linda. So the other day you were
- 31:30Speaker 8: talking about the sharing of food and everything. So my
- 31:33Speaker 8: husband never eats all of his fries and I shouldn't
- 31:35Speaker 8: eat all of my fries. So we decided that we
- 31:38Speaker 8: would start getting large and sharing that that is the
- 31:41Speaker 8: only food that we share. The other day, he offered
- 31:45Speaker 8: me a bite of his meal, and I was convinced
- 31:47Speaker 8: that the aliens came and abducted him and I will
- 31:50Speaker 8: never see my husband again, or that was the bite
- 31:52Speaker 8: that he poisoned. I haven't decided yet.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Tell me you've been married for many year without telling
- 32:01Speaker 2: me you've been married for many years, because once you
- 32:04Speaker 2: start considering poisoning the other one, I feel like that's
- 32:06Speaker 2: a ten plus marriage ten year plus kind of a situation.
- 32:11Speaker 4: In Hollywood, it could be ten minutes.
- 32:14Speaker 2: Hollywood moves at a different pace than the rest of
- 32:16Speaker 2: us do. Before we jump into Linda's talkback here, if
- 32:20Speaker 2: you would like to leave us talk back, do so
- 32:23Speaker 2: on our website Treehouse on Air dot com. Click on
- 32:26Speaker 2: the microphone lower right hand corner, and you can drop
- 32:29Speaker 2: us a comment about something you heard on the show,
- 32:31Speaker 2: something you saw on social media, whatever the case is.
- 32:35Speaker 2: Drop it in our talkback Treehouse on Air dot com
- 32:39Speaker 2: microphone lower right hand corner, and we just might play
- 32:41Speaker 2: it here on the show. All right, So Linda and
- 32:44Speaker 2: her husband, thank you, Linda for the message. The only
- 32:48Speaker 2: food they share is French fries, so they have their
- 32:53Speaker 2: boundaries set. They both know this is the only food
- 32:56Speaker 2: we share. It's the fries. Raj, you share no food?
- 33:02Speaker 2: Mm hm, Trey, where do you fall on this again?
- 33:05Speaker 2: I'm fine sharing food, just open borders. Yeah, which is
- 33:11Speaker 2: very odd since you're the Republican in the tree. Uh
- 33:19Speaker 2: so have you and your new you and your new
- 33:21Speaker 2: girlfriend have has this happened to you guys yet? With
- 33:24Speaker 2: the food where she's like, hey, can I have some?
- 33:32Speaker 2: And you were like yes? Or did you have some
- 33:33Speaker 2: of hers? Uh?
- 33:38Speaker 1: Dan, you got really off set you're you get really
- 33:40Speaker 1: out of whack. Uh, But uh yeah, it's We've had
- 33:45Speaker 1: like one instance where we went out and we had
- 33:48Speaker 1: Italian and uh, she tried a little bit of mine.
- 33:50Speaker 1: I tried a bit of hers. It was no big deal,
- 33:55Speaker 1: and it stayed.
- 33:56Speaker 2: Would just try a little bit and it didn't turn
- 33:58Speaker 2: into her eating all of yours.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Honestly, no, because the portions were so big she could
- 34:04Speaker 1: have it. It was actually one of those meals where
- 34:07Speaker 1: we could have split something and been plenty.
- 34:09Speaker 2: But it's like going to Buka to Beppo back in
- 34:12Speaker 2: the day and getting a meatball that's enough for four.
- 34:16Speaker 4: Yes.
- 34:21Speaker 2: So my first run in with this was back in
- 34:24Speaker 2: high school. I had a girlfriend in high school and
- 34:27Speaker 2: she loved, loved going to Chili's, Right, But I realized
- 34:31Speaker 2: after our second time going to Chili's why she loved
- 34:35Speaker 2: it so much, because she would always get a chicken
- 34:39Speaker 2: caesar salad.
- 34:40Speaker 1: Right.
- 34:42Speaker 2: I would get something you know good at Chili's, you know,
- 34:48Speaker 2: like the chicken crispers or something like that, or the burger,
- 34:52Speaker 2: and she inevitably would eat my stuff. So I learned
- 34:57Speaker 2: very early on you got to set some boundaries when
- 34:59Speaker 2: it comes to the food in a relationship, because she
- 35:02Speaker 2: very much felt like it didn't count if she ordered
- 35:05Speaker 2: her salad and ate half of my chicken crispers. And
- 35:09Speaker 2: at one point I had to tell her, Look, if
- 35:11Speaker 2: you want one of these tenders, you're gonna to get
- 35:14Speaker 2: your own, because you're not even eating that salad. This
- 35:16Speaker 2: is ridiculous. I'm in high school and keeping in mind,
- 35:23Speaker 2: minimum wage hasn't gone up much since then, so while
- 35:27Speaker 2: I might have been a baller for the nineties, by
- 35:29Speaker 2: today's standards, not very good. My point is I wasn't
- 35:32Speaker 2: made of money in high school. So if you're going
- 35:34Speaker 2: to order it, eat it, don't just eat mine.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Yes, And what about now, Dan, when Tara wants some
- 35:41Speaker 1: of your food, what do you do? You put your
- 35:43Speaker 1: foot down and say no.
- 35:45Speaker 2: No, our situation is different. Because our situation is different.
- 35:54Speaker 4: I e.
- 35:54Speaker 7: In the bathroom, I eat in the shadows. You'll never
- 36:08Speaker 7: get any of my precious.
- 36:17Speaker 2: I hate you, No, our food situation is different. It's like, usually,
- 36:23Speaker 2: depending on what we get, she'll usually end up giving
- 36:26Speaker 2: me a little bit of whatever is left of hers
- 36:28Speaker 2: because she doesn't finish something, so she'll give me some
- 36:30Speaker 2: of that.
- 36:31Speaker 1: Oh, that's that's nice of her.
- 36:34Speaker 4: Throwing the scraps, very sweet.
- 36:37Speaker 2: It's actually just a trail of them out, like leading
- 36:40Speaker 2: out of the bathroom into the light.
- 36:45Speaker 3: Does she give it to you inside your cage or
- 36:47Speaker 3: outside of it? I'm sorry, Kennel, Kennel, that's not cage anymore.
- 36:55Speaker 2: As long as the water's full, it's fine.
- 37:02Speaker 4: And you don't poop on the rug, that's good.
- 37:05Speaker 2: Like I do have to clean up my own box.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Now.
- 37:10Speaker 2: Our food, our food thing is normal. Like if she
- 37:12Speaker 2: wants a little bit, I'm fine with it because she
- 37:14Speaker 2: doesn't typically eat She doesn't. She doesn't do the thing
- 37:16Speaker 2: where she orders hers and then eats mine. She doesn't
- 37:18Speaker 2: do that.
- 37:21Speaker 4: Dotcha. Okay, that's so nope, I can't. I can't.
- 37:27Speaker 3: Like just hearing your sharing stories make me like cringe.
- 37:30Speaker 3: I'm like, just eat your own food. You you picked it,
- 37:35Speaker 3: you eat it. I can approach it from a pragmatic
- 37:41Speaker 3: point of view. Okay, So take my marriage out of it.
- 37:44Speaker 3: If someone was to ask, hey, what should I do
- 37:46Speaker 3: about this? You could always ask.
- 37:50Speaker 2: Because if you're not like at the early stages of dating,
- 37:52Speaker 2: and she says, hey, can I have some of that?
- 37:54Speaker 2: You could simply respond to her who's paying for this?
- 37:59Speaker 4: Who? Because financially or emotionally, Well.
- 38:04Speaker 2: Those are two separate questions, because you can ask her.
- 38:07Speaker 2: If you're paying for this meal, then have at it.
- 38:10Speaker 2: If I'm paying for this meal, then you get to
- 38:12Speaker 2: set the ground rules. And if you're going Dutch, then
- 38:16Speaker 2: you eat yours. I eat mine. But you're right, the
- 38:19Speaker 2: emotional aspect of it is a completely different thing.
- 38:21Speaker 4: Right, gotcha.
- 38:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm I'm saying that's the I'm not saying that's
- 38:26Speaker 2: the right way to go. I'm just saying it's a
- 38:27Speaker 2: way you could go.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Okay, if you ever you ever try that out?
- 38:33Speaker 2: Oh god, No, I'm not stupid. I'm happy to I'm
- 38:40Speaker 2: happy to eat in the dark bathroom. I don't want
- 38:42Speaker 2: to be forced to eat outside.
- 38:45Speaker 1: I just feel like you, whoever asked the question, who's
- 38:49Speaker 1: paying for this, It's going to be you.
- 38:54Speaker 2: Both financially and emotionally.
- 38:56Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Yeah, the meal is the cheap part.
