- 0:11Speaker 1: Is the gold reform it? Tonight another gunfight in Sydney
- 0:16Speaker 1: involving Middle Eastern crime figures. Has our immigration intake made
- 0:20Speaker 1: us less safe? Anthony, how but easy, prepares for his
- 0:23Speaker 1: big meeting on Wednesday, our time with Donald Trump? But
- 0:27Speaker 1: is he blowing it already? At Sydney University is a
- 0:30Speaker 1: desesspit of hatred for Israel, some extraordinary statements by an
- 0:35Speaker 1: academic referred to police, and lots more, including a shock
- 0:39Speaker 1: inquiry to Britain's most notorious rape games after years of
- 0:43Speaker 1: cover ups. But first, once again Australia is betraying Israel
- 0:49Speaker 1: in its hour of need, and once again it is
- 0:52Speaker 1: stabbing our ally in the back and giving comfort to terrorists,
- 0:56Speaker 1: this time the great terrorist regime of Iran. And what
- 1:00Speaker 1: makes this betrayal the worst is that it comes just
- 1:04Speaker 1: two days before Prime Minister Anthony Albanezi will meet US
- 1:07Speaker 1: President Donald Trump to plead for him to not to
- 1:11Speaker 1: scrap our orchestrale to buy American nuclear submarines, submarines America
- 1:15Speaker 1: actually needs itself, claiming and this is the joke, now
- 1:19Speaker 1: that Australia is an ally the US can trust. Let
- 1:25Speaker 1: me start first the government's portrayal of Israel in its
- 1:29Speaker 1: war with Iran, a war that has Israeli city's bomb
- 1:33Speaker 1: like Tel Aviv and also Haifa, purely civilian targets hit
- 1:38Speaker 1: when Israel's famous iron dome missile defense was overwhelmed by
- 1:42Speaker 1: the sheer number of missiles being fired at the country. Now,
- 1:45Speaker 1: this war started on Friday when Israel bombed Iran's nuclear
- 1:49Speaker 1: weapon sites, after taking out its anti aircraft defenses and
- 1:52Speaker 1: killing many of Iran's top military and intelligence chiefs, from
- 1:55Speaker 1: its most powerful general down. It strikes some incredible procison,
- 2:00Speaker 1: which suggests not just superbus ratio technology, but a lot
- 2:03Speaker 1: of intelligence helped from Iranian dissidents. Now, Donald Trump today
- 2:09Speaker 1: refused to condemn Israel for that attack. In fact, there
- 2:13Speaker 1: are strong indications the US approved it to remove the
- 2:16Speaker 1: greatest danger to Israel's existence, which is he runs nuclear
- 2:20Speaker 1: weapons program.
- 2:22Speaker 2: I think it's time for a deal and we'll see.
- 2:24Speaker 3: What happens, but sometimes they have to.
- 2:27Speaker 4: Fight it out.
- 2:29Speaker 1: But from the Albanese government, we instead got ridiculous refusals
- 2:35Speaker 1: from the Prime Minister, from the Foreign minister, from the
- 2:38Speaker 1: Defense minister, all refusing to say Israel was right to
- 2:42Speaker 1: destroy this existential threat to a country that's just one
- 2:47Speaker 1: third the size of Tasmania, and so it could be
- 2:51Speaker 1: virtually destroyed, but just one or two nuclear bombs. Here
- 2:55Speaker 1: are our three blind mice.
- 2:59Speaker 5: I've expressed before our concern about Iran gaining the capacity
- 3:05Speaker 5: of nuclear weapons, but we, along with other like minded countries,
- 3:10Speaker 5: do want to see that priority on dialogue and diplomacy.
- 3:13Speaker 6: Australia is alarmed by the escalation between Israel and Iran.
- 3:17Speaker 6: We all understand the need the threat of Iran's nuclear
- 3:23Speaker 6: and ballistic missile program, and we urge the parties to
- 3:26Speaker 6: prioritize dialogue and diplomacy.
- 3:29Speaker 7: Does the government support Israel Well, we understand the threat
- 3:32Speaker 7: to the world really of peace and stability of Iran's
- 3:36Speaker 7: nuclear and ballistic missile program. What we are very much
- 3:41Speaker 7: urging at this moment is dialogue and diplomacy.
- 3:45Speaker 1: A moral appeases all of them, essentially refusing to distinguish
- 3:50Speaker 1: between an Iranian terrorist regime and democratic Israel, the country
- 3:54Speaker 1: that he runs. The leaders have threatened repeatedly to wipe
- 3:57Speaker 1: out even he runs. Ambassador to Australia just last year
- 4:07Speaker 1: said Australia was a Zionist plague that he looked forward
- 4:11Speaker 1: to getting wiped out by twenty twenty seven. But this
- 4:17Speaker 1: ridiculous argument by our three blind mice. Sure he runs
- 4:22Speaker 1: nuclear weapons program, it's bad, but Israel should just keep
- 4:26Speaker 1: negotiating with Iran. He is wrong again today, seriously suggesting
- 4:33Speaker 1: that we could talk Iran into dropping its plans for
- 4:37Speaker 1: a nuclear bomb and the destruction of Israel.
- 4:41Speaker 6: No one doubts the threat Iran posus. We have long
- 4:47Speaker 6: been speaking about this as an international community. We have
- 4:50Speaker 6: long put sanctions in place. We have Australia has been
- 4:54Speaker 6: part of the pressure that has been applied to the
- 4:59Speaker 6: Iranian regime. The question is what do you do about it?
- 5:01Speaker 6: And is your response going to risk dire consequences to
- 5:06Speaker 6: the region.
- 5:08Speaker 1: But honestly, all those Australian little memos and now Tupping
- 5:13Speaker 1: and his cries for negotiating, negotiating with Iran, people have
- 5:17Speaker 1: been negotiating now for decades with that country and it
- 5:21Speaker 1: has solved nothing. As Israel's ambassador said on the weekend,
- 5:27Speaker 1: words don't stop warheads. Now, let me take you through
- 5:30Speaker 1: the timeline to show how witless this Australian response really
- 5:35Speaker 1: is the cause for both sides to de escalate, as
- 5:39Speaker 1: if Israel somehow as much of the blame as Iran
- 5:42Speaker 1: for having to save itself and the world from a
- 5:44Speaker 1: nuclear holocaust. Last April sixty three, days before Israel's attack,
- 5:51Speaker 1: the political website reported that Donald Trump had sent it
- 5:53Speaker 1: run Supreme leader a letter with a warning Iran had
- 5:57Speaker 1: a sixty day deadline to progress on talks over its
- 6:01Speaker 1: nuclear program or face potential military retaliation. No wonder a
- 6:07Speaker 1: deadline was needed because Iran has for many many years
- 6:11Speaker 1: secretly worked on building nuclear bombs, enriching uranium to levels
- 6:16Speaker 1: much higher than it needed for nuclear power, for instance,
- 6:20Speaker 1: that the Ayatola wouldn't listen, and the very day before
- 6:24Speaker 1: Israel's attack, this is last Thursday, the United Nations International
- 6:28Speaker 1: Atomic Energy Agency passed an extraordinary resolution of a kinda
- 6:32Speaker 1: hadn't done for twenty years, admitting Iran has been lying
- 6:36Speaker 1: to it for years about its band nuclear program had
- 6:39Speaker 1: blocked inspectors, had lied about traces of enriched uranium that
- 6:43Speaker 1: inspectors had found at three undecleared Iranian sites. It's hand,
- 6:49Speaker 1: Iran now had more than four hundred kilos of uranium
- 6:52Speaker 1: and riched to near weapons grade, enough for potentially nine
- 6:57Speaker 1: nuclear bombs.
- 7:00Speaker 8: It is doing something like this at a level which
- 7:04Speaker 8: is very very close to the level that you need
- 7:06Speaker 8: to have a nuclear explosive device, then we cannot ignore
- 7:10Speaker 8: it and Iran.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Israel certainly did not ignore that. The very next day
- 7:16Speaker 1: it attacked Iran's nuclear military infrastructure and leaders. It may
- 7:21Speaker 1: not have destroyed the nuclear facilities because they are buried
- 7:24Speaker 1: so deep underground, but it surely is the lady around
- 7:26Speaker 1: getting the weapons, the nuclear weapons that would have given
- 7:31Speaker 1: it huge power, huge power to the world's biggest sponsor
- 7:36Speaker 1: of terrorist groups.
- 7:38Speaker 2: We can't have the world's most dangerous regime have the
- 7:40Speaker 2: world's most dangerous weapons or protecting ourselves, but by doing so,
- 7:45Speaker 2: we're protecting many others.
- 7:47Speaker 1: So you tell me how Israel could be criticized for
- 7:51Speaker 1: escalating anything. I mean, Iran had already armed and funded
- 7:56Speaker 1: three of the world's biggest terrorist armies, all of them
- 7:59Speaker 1: attacking Israel. Hamas, which launched the October seven attacks, has Bila,
- 8:05Speaker 1: which fired thousands of rockets at Israel and missiles too
- 8:10Speaker 1: from Lebanon, and the Whoties firing missiles from Yemen. Iran
- 8:14Speaker 1: itself has fired many more missiles at Israel and Let's
- 8:19Speaker 1: not forget that Iran is also part of the access
- 8:21Speaker 1: of authoritarian regimes including China, Russia and North Korea, all
- 8:25Speaker 1: trying to topple the West leadership, all supporting each other.
- 8:31Speaker 1: So what we're alban eazy Wanga males actually waiting for
- 8:33Speaker 1: with their talk talk talk talk talk, waiting for Iran
- 8:38Speaker 1: to actually have nuclear weapons, waiting for Israel's total destruction
- 8:41Speaker 1: before admitting, oh, Israel was right? How bad? Really, There's
- 8:46Speaker 1: only one thing our government should have said to Israel
- 8:50Speaker 1: for smashing around's nuclear site, and it's this, thank you, Israel,
- 8:56Speaker 1: thank you. And one last thing I said. This was
- 9:01Speaker 1: the worst time for Albanezi and co. To show how
- 9:04Speaker 1: useless they are to democratic allies giving comfort to Iran
- 9:08Speaker 1: by refusing to back what Israel has done. It is
- 9:12Speaker 1: the worst time because America is now reviewing whether it
- 9:15Speaker 1: can afford to sell us some of its nuclear submarines
- 9:18Speaker 1: when it has too few of them for itself. With
- 9:21Speaker 1: China rising, we desperately need these submarines or we risk
- 9:26Speaker 1: soon having none at all with China. On the march
- 9:29Speaker 1: and Albany as he said today, well this subs deal,
- 9:32Speaker 1: I'm going to argue is good for America too, because
- 9:35Speaker 1: we're allies. That means the subs won't be lost to
- 9:38Speaker 1: America if they're given to us. But when it was
- 9:41Speaker 1: asked directly today this betrayal of Israel, can America actually
- 9:47Speaker 1: count on Australia to come to its rescue as well,
- 9:50Speaker 1: you know, in war rescue it with our new American subs,
- 9:55Speaker 1: he couldn't give a straight answer.
- 9:57Speaker 9: Can Donald Trump and America be constant?
- 10:00Speaker 10: I think Australia would stand shoulder to shoulder with them
- 10:04Speaker 10: in the event of a major conflict in the Indo
- 10:06Speaker 10: Pacific and in the event that China invades Taiwan or
- 10:11Speaker 10: whatever means that happens, as has been the stated goal
- 10:14Speaker 10: by the CXCP.
- 10:16Speaker 5: Well, the role of aucas and the role of nation
- 10:20Speaker 5: states in our region, including our partners, is full peace
- 10:26Speaker 5: and security in the region.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Does anyone believe that a government of the future led
- 10:33Speaker 1: by someone like Albanzi would lend its subs to the
- 10:38Speaker 1: United States in a war with China after seeing how
- 10:42Speaker 1: this government has betrayed even Israel. How fickle does Australia
- 10:47Speaker 1: look now after this weekend of shame? Joining me a
- 10:55Speaker 1: former federal labor MP Michael Danby, who was chairman of
- 10:57Speaker 1: the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Trade, and
- 11:00Speaker 1: former labor centered Steve Conroy form A Cabinet minister Michael Danby,
- 11:05Speaker 1: Alvin is he Wong Miles all refused to back Israel's
- 11:10Speaker 1: attack on Iran's nuclear weaponsites. They said, Israel should go
- 11:14Speaker 1: back to negotiations. That strikes me as dangerously naive, in fact,
- 11:19Speaker 1: lethally naive and an active betrayal.
- 11:22Speaker 2: What do you think We've moved very far from the
- 11:25Speaker 2: days of Kim Beasley and Bob Hawke, and indeed even
- 11:30Speaker 2: when Stephen Conroy was in there. They are the three
- 11:33Speaker 2: blind mice. Would they ask for Britain to negotiate with
- 11:39Speaker 2: Germany in the middle of the Second World War? There
- 11:42Speaker 2: are ballistic missiles with one ton warheads landing on civilian
- 11:47Speaker 2: neighborhoods in Tel Aviv, And all the boring socialists left
- 11:52Speaker 2: from Adelaide has got to do is to advance parochial,
- 11:56Speaker 2: childish cliches, shiballeths about going back into negotiations and restraint. No,
- 12:04Speaker 2: the Asraeli As are going to go for victory. They're
- 12:06Speaker 2: going to once and for all finish this Iranian nuclear threat,
- 12:11Speaker 2: and the whole world will thank them as they did
- 12:13Speaker 2: when Manuch and Bagen bombed the Iraqi nuclear reactor in
- 12:17Speaker 2: nineteen eighty. They curse them to their faces and thanked
- 12:20Speaker 2: them behind the scenes. And I'm sorry the world. This
- 12:24Speaker 2: is a time when you have to decide what side
- 12:27Speaker 2: you stand on. And you're very right, Andrew. If I
- 12:30Speaker 2: was an American, if I was Elbridge Colby looking at
- 12:34Speaker 2: the Australian orchestele, I'd be very suspicious. Given these three answers,
- 12:40Speaker 2: including the saddest of all is from Richard Miles. He
- 12:44Speaker 2: demonstrates the total vacuousness, emptiness of the labor right. There's
- 12:50Speaker 2: no labor right anymore in Canberra. It's surrendered to the
- 12:54Speaker 2: socialist left, to Wong and Elbow.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Is that correct, Stephen Conroy affection has surrendered to the
- 13:01Speaker 1: socialist's left. So then go around like this, refusing to
- 13:06Speaker 1: support Israel's act of self defense against the Iran.
- 13:13Speaker 11: Look, Michael and I have stood shoulder to shoulder for
- 13:16Speaker 11: many years inside the Labor Party on the shoes like
- 13:20Speaker 11: the right for Israel to exist, for the right to
- 13:24Speaker 11: Israel about to defend itself. But I am confused by
- 13:28Speaker 11: some of the arguments. Both you and Michael have put
- 13:30Speaker 11: this up now, I just must have missed Donald Trump
- 13:32Speaker 11: saying thank you. Really, if you can pull up some
- 13:35Speaker 11: footage of Donald Trump saying thank you Israel, I'm eagerly
- 13:40Speaker 11: look forward to seeing it.
- 13:42Speaker 1: And as for he said go ahead, you know.
- 13:47Speaker 11: Well he said that after the fact. He wasn't saying
- 13:50Speaker 11: that before the fact. In fact, he said the negotiations
- 13:52Speaker 11: should be allowed to go on longer. But I mean,
- 13:54Speaker 11: I know there's no point in listening to what Donald
- 13:56Speaker 11: Trump says. He's a pathological liar on his best day. Importantly,
- 14:02Speaker 11: Australia have done exactly what Donald Trump's done. Donald Trump said,
- 14:07Speaker 11: come back to the table. I stopped the eye, I
- 14:09Speaker 11: toller being killed so they could come back to the table.
- 14:11Speaker 11: So when Donald Trump says come back and negotiates, he's
- 14:14Speaker 11: a hero. When Penny Wong Richard miles around for now,
- 14:17Speaker 11: but he say we want you to negotiate, they're traitors.
- 14:21Speaker 11: I just think there's little bit of a double standing.
- 14:23Speaker 2: We didn't say they were traders, we said they were wrong.
- 14:27Speaker 1: And I think you were there.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Not there because you're completely different. Beasley was completely different.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Walk Is completely different to these kinds of people. We've
- 14:37Speaker 2: got the weakest international leadership. Imagine we had Sarma Macron,
- 14:42Speaker 2: that fellow in Canada and Elbow Wong during the Second
- 14:46Speaker 2: World War, Australia would be speaking Japanese.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Now, Stephen, can I just add there's one thing that
- 14:53Speaker 1: you missed in the ground that I actually played just
- 14:56Speaker 1: two minutes ago. You had Trump actually say sometimes countries
- 15:01Speaker 1: need to fight. They need to fight, and not only
- 15:04Speaker 1: that is shifting American resources to the region to help
- 15:08Speaker 1: Israel defend itself. I think there's a long way from
- 15:12Speaker 1: what Wong, Miles and Albanez he said today.
- 15:17Speaker 11: Well, Trump also has the view that Russia and the
- 15:19Speaker 11: Ukraine should should keep on fighting too.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Red hearings and red hearings, Mate, red hearings last week.
- 15:28Speaker 11: You want to pray to the Trump stick to praise.
- 15:32Speaker 1: No, they want to Trump, I wanted to. I want
- 15:37Speaker 1: this radio government decision back.
- 15:40Speaker 11: Come back to the table. He is publicly stated that
- 15:44Speaker 11: I've seen it a dozen times over the last few days.
- 15:46Speaker 11: Come back to the table. And that's exactly what the
- 15:50Speaker 11: Labor government is saying. And as for this issue around
- 15:54Speaker 11: the submarines, let's be clear, not Donald Trump, not the
- 15:58Speaker 11: US administration have ambiguously said they would fight a war
- 16:01Speaker 11: in Taiwan. Yet you and Michael are advocating Australia should
- 16:06Speaker 11: sign up to fight on the Americans behalf in Taiwan
- 16:09Speaker 11: when the Americans haven't done it themselves. That is just
- 16:13Speaker 11: bald faced hypocrisy.
- 16:14Speaker 9: I haven't seen it for those of both of us,
- 16:19Speaker 9: for many.
- 16:21Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 16:22Speaker 11: You have just said, how can the Americans trust Australia
- 16:26Speaker 11: if they won't commit? And that's the questions that howboy
- 16:29Speaker 11: was asked and then specifically went to Taiwan and specifically
- 16:34Speaker 11: you're the warrant, You're the ones, You're the ones who
- 16:38Speaker 11: raised China. You don't get to pretend you didn't say it. Michael,
- 16:42Speaker 11: quotes were of our being asked question.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Did you say it attitude?
- 16:46Speaker 11: So I did say you committed for supportivocally Taiwan.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Never hang on to sex Stephen. I said it in
- 16:56Speaker 1: the context of Australia having already betrayed is Israel shown
- 17:01Speaker 1: itself to be an unworthy and untrustworthy untrustworthy ally, how
- 17:06Speaker 1: can America trust us when we don't also commit to Taiwan?
- 17:10Speaker 1: That point, and when you say when you say, Trump says,
- 17:14Speaker 1: let's oh well, Trump is saying no different, no different.
- 17:17Speaker 1: You said no different, come back and negotiate. You emit
- 17:20Speaker 1: the bit of one of his through social tweets. I
- 17:24Speaker 1: think it was saying, you do that or else. There'll
- 17:27Speaker 1: be more right words to that effect. There will be more.
- 17:31Speaker 1: He is not ruling out you come back and negotiate
- 17:34Speaker 1: or you get this double So that is a big, big,
- 17:37Speaker 1: big difference. I don't think all the viewers know that now.
- 17:40Speaker 2: And and he has provided intelligence and weapons in the meantime.
- 17:44Speaker 2: That is a pretty big thank you that the Israelis
- 17:46Speaker 2: have got. So they see America on one side, and
- 17:49Speaker 2: they see all of these weak, shivering people the leadership
- 17:53Speaker 2: of Australia, Britain, Canada and France.
- 17:56Speaker 1: It's terrible.
- 17:57Speaker 9: They're in a war.
- 17:58Speaker 2: They're being mythold. Civilians are being killed deliberately by the
- 18:03Speaker 2: Iranian regime and Australia wants to offer restraints and and
- 18:09Speaker 2: more conferences. It's nothing is going to happen.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Back to the table.
- 18:15Speaker 11: Just like Donald Trump said, I don't want to go
- 18:18Speaker 11: to the table. Exactly what Donald Trump said, but Donald trumpes.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Over Iran victory was the same thing as World War
- 18:29Speaker 2: not endless negotiations.
- 18:31Speaker 9: Would you have had more Munich agreements?
- 18:32Speaker 1: No, you wouldn't see it.
- 18:34Speaker 2: I know you.
- 18:35Speaker 1: You're like Kim Beasley and Bobbs.
- 18:36Speaker 11: You tell Donald Trump I'm not like you. Donald Trump
- 18:40Speaker 11: that because that's what he's called for.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Donald Trump said, Donald Trump, gentlemen, we're going out of time.
- 18:47Speaker 1: But time isn't We're out of time. But Donald Trump said,
- 18:51Speaker 1: come back to the table or else there'll be more
- 18:54Speaker 1: with Australia. Pennyone said, come back to the table. But
- 18:58Speaker 1: since she's going to have mores more resolutions from Australia,
- 19:02Speaker 1: I mean, for God's sake, gentlemen, Stephen Connor and Michael Danby,
- 19:05Speaker 1: thank you very much to you both joining me from
- 19:08Speaker 1: Jerusalems Fleur Hassan Nahum. She's a special envoy with Israel's
- 19:11Speaker 1: Foreign Ministry and a former deputy mayor of Jerusalem. Flur,
- 19:14Speaker 1: thank you so much for your time. You've now got
- 19:17Speaker 1: Israel being hit Byranian missiles up to ten percent by
- 19:22Speaker 1: some reports. So those missiles are getting through the Iron Dome.
- 19:25Speaker 1: So this is really quite serious. How bad is the damage?
- 19:28Speaker 1: How great is the danger?
- 19:31Speaker 4: So in the last three days we've had nineteen people.
- 19:35Speaker 9: Die Jews and Arabs alike.
- 19:36Speaker 4: I want to point out these missiles don't discriminate on
- 19:41Speaker 4: who they're wanting to kill. This morning we pulled, thankfully alive,
- 19:45Speaker 4: a six day old baby from the rubble, and so
- 19:49Speaker 4: our civilian centers are under attack in a war.
- 19:54Speaker 9: That we didn't Scott.
- 19:56Speaker 4: I want to remind people the last year, last year
- 20:00Speaker 4: twenty four, we were attacked in April by Iran for
- 20:04Speaker 4: the first time directly with over three hundred missiles, and
- 20:07Speaker 4: then back in October we were attacked again by Iran
- 20:12Speaker 4: with over two hundred ballistic missiles. So it's not that
- 20:16Speaker 4: this has come out of nowhere. We know that the
- 20:19Speaker 4: Islamic Republic of Iran was going towards the point of no.
- 20:22Speaker 9: Return with nuclear weapons.
- 20:24Speaker 4: We know that they've called on the annihilation of Israel many, many,
- 20:28Speaker 4: many times. It is their aim, and we know that
- 20:31Speaker 4: for the past twenty years, all they've done is build
- 20:35Speaker 4: their proxies around Israel to choke Israel with Hamas, with
- 20:39Speaker 4: the Hooties, with Hasbola, with Shia elements in Iraq, and
- 20:44Speaker 4: so we had no choice. Israel never once war, but
- 20:48Speaker 4: we had no choice because ultimately, our obligation is to
- 20:52Speaker 4: defend our citizens and to defend our countries, and unfortunately
- 20:56Speaker 4: we are going now through those pains of having to
- 20:59Speaker 4: fight a war for Western civilization because the Islamic Republic
- 21:04Speaker 4: of Iran only wants to start with Israel, but wants
- 21:07Speaker 4: to finish with complete caliphate. Around the world, there are
- 21:12Speaker 4: ideologues and this is what they want. They say, death
- 21:14Speaker 4: to Israel, death to America.
- 21:18Speaker 1: I don't think many people realize how off the planet
- 21:21Speaker 1: some of these people in the regime are that they
- 21:23Speaker 1: really do believe that the hidden Imam will the Marti
- 21:28Speaker 1: will not come back unless Israel is destroyed, and then
- 21:32Speaker 1: you know, Islam mon't be reformed until then. With every
- 21:35Speaker 1: missile I see hitting Israel flir I just imagine what
- 21:42Speaker 1: if one of them had a nuclear warhead. Now, Israel's
- 21:46Speaker 1: going on exactly nuclear weapons. The world is sure of it,
- 21:49Speaker 1: but you haven't used it. But is there any doubt
- 21:51Speaker 1: in your mind that if Iran did get a nuclear
- 21:54Speaker 1: bomb that they would use it.
- 21:58Speaker 4: It's because we don't have any doubts that we've had
- 22:02Speaker 4: to launch this attack in order to neutralize their nuclear capabilities.
- 22:08Speaker 4: We know that we're getting towards the enrichment of weapon uranium.
- 22:14Speaker 4: This is why we're here. We can't let it happen.
- 22:17Speaker 4: And even if we had to go alone, we can't
- 22:20Speaker 4: let this happen. We can't appease a crocodile, like Churchill
- 22:25Speaker 4: would say, hoping it'll lead to you last.
- 22:28Speaker 9: That's what the West is doing.
- 22:30Speaker 4: That's what countries, unfortunately your leadership is doing.
- 22:34Speaker 9: They're saying, sit down and talk. Why exactly should we talk?
- 22:38Speaker 4: Is there any doubt that the Uranian Islamic regime have
- 22:42Speaker 4: any good faith? And when do I think Donald Trump realizes, well,
- 22:48Speaker 4: how about when during the time that they're supposed to
- 22:52Speaker 4: be negotiating with the Americans they go and attack. They're
- 22:57Speaker 4: militias in Iraq attack the Americans in the middle of
- 23:02Speaker 4: a negotiation. Is there any doubt these people have good faith?
- 23:05Speaker 4: They have no good faith. They're just biding for time.
- 23:08Speaker 4: And that's what they've been doing. They tricked the Obama
- 23:11Speaker 4: administration who fell for it, and they tricked Biden, who let.
- 23:15Speaker 9: The sanctions fall and you know, and wash in.
- 23:19Speaker 4: Billions of dollars of cash every single month into Iran.
- 23:23Speaker 4: And the Trump administration said no more and now Israel
- 23:27Speaker 4: has to do the job that nobody wants to do,
- 23:30Speaker 4: get our hands dirty and liberate the good people of Iran,
- 23:34Speaker 4: because at least eighty percent of the people of Iran
- 23:37Speaker 4: want the end of this toxic regime that has destroyed
- 23:40Speaker 4: their country, that are completely incompetent, and that have sacrificed
- 23:45Speaker 4: that people on the altar of a toxic ideology that's
- 23:48Speaker 4: going to destroy the Western world as we know it.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Sir Hasan Nahum, I'm glad to see that you're in
- 23:56Speaker 1: something that looks rather sturdy and safe behind you in
- 23:59Speaker 1: that room, Keep safe, and thank you so much for
- 24:01Speaker 1: your time. After the break evidence that were actually already
- 24:08Speaker 1: in World War three plus two assassinations in the United States,
- 24:12Speaker 1: and I wonder if Democrat politicians are stoking some dangerous
- 24:15Speaker 1: hatreds as well. Now, I think we've got to realize
- 24:23Speaker 1: that what we are already seeing is a world war
- 24:26Speaker 1: World War three. It's not a war in Ukraine over there,
- 24:30Speaker 1: a war with Israel over here. And then you know
- 24:34Speaker 1: China's threatened war against Taiwan over there, all separate, and
- 24:39Speaker 1: that's another reason why Israel's war with Iran it's so
- 24:42Speaker 1: dangerous as I said, for a couple of years, there
- 24:44Speaker 1: is a new alliance of tyrannies, Russia, China, Iran and
- 24:48Speaker 1: North Korea all working together, helping each other out with
- 24:52Speaker 1: their wars, sending weapons, diplomatic cover, and with their planned
- 24:56Speaker 1: wars too. He Ran, for instance, supplies to Russia with
- 24:58Speaker 1: Kamikazi drones. War in Ukraine and China and Russia are
- 25:02Speaker 1: backing around diplomatically. Last week voted against that International Atomic
- 25:07Speaker 1: Energy Agency resolution condemning Iran's nuclear weapons program. And right
- 25:12Speaker 1: now we are seeing how war in the Middle East
- 25:15Speaker 1: can help China. America has been forced to move the
- 25:18Speaker 1: aircraft carrier Nimits and supporting warships from the Pacific whether
- 25:23Speaker 1: patrolling near China. It now seems on its way to
- 25:27Speaker 1: the Middle East to support Israel, which would leave China,
- 25:30Speaker 1: of course freer to attack Taiwan and not tip in
- 25:33Speaker 1: that yet It's far too early, i think, for China
- 25:35Speaker 1: to do that. But this is how this alliance can work,
- 25:39Speaker 1: always stretching the West, which is already desperately Undergonne. Its
- 25:44Speaker 1: weapon stocks are very low after supplying Ukraine for three years,
- 25:49Speaker 1: and all those Australian ministers saying Oh, we just need
- 25:52Speaker 1: to negotiate. They don't realize our enemies operate under different
- 25:57Speaker 1: moral rules. I mean, like I said, some actually believe
- 26:03Speaker 1: that until you know the lost, the loss Mardi returns,
- 26:09Speaker 1: Islam will not be reformed and that can't happen until
- 26:12Speaker 1: Israel is destroyed. And they chant war cris in parliament
- 26:15Speaker 1: like this. And I just got to clear up one
- 26:26Speaker 1: thing in my argument with Steve Conroy, who said Trump's
- 26:30Speaker 1: response just negotiates exactly that Penny Wongs. I want to
- 26:33Speaker 1: read that twiteter referred to now that I have it,
- 26:36Speaker 1: or a truth social post where Trump said there's already
- 26:39Speaker 1: been great death and destruction, but there is still time
- 26:41Speaker 1: to make this slaughter with the next already planned attacks
- 26:45Speaker 1: on ir Ani means being even more brutal come to
- 26:48Speaker 1: an end. Iran must make a deal before there is
- 26:51Speaker 1: nothing left and save what was once known as the
- 26:53Speaker 1: reigning Empire. No more death, normal destruction. Just do it
- 26:57Speaker 1: before it is too late. Can you tell me where
- 27:01Speaker 1: Penny Wong, Anthony Abnezy, Greg Richard Marles said, any issued
- 27:07Speaker 1: any threat like that, join me as the country stuff
- 27:10Speaker 1: Foreign Affairs writing Grig Sheridan in the Australian newspaper. Greg,
- 27:13Speaker 1: great to see where is this conflict going?
- 27:17Speaker 12: Well, great to be with you, Andrew. So I must
- 27:20Speaker 12: say I absolutely endorse your proposition that the conflicts in Ukraine,
- 27:25Speaker 12: Taiwan and Iran are all related and in a sense
- 27:29Speaker 12: part of the same conflict. Israel still has at least
- 27:35Speaker 12: some days and perhaps more than that to go in
- 27:38Speaker 12: trying to destroy key Iranian nuclear, military and now economic targets.
- 27:44Speaker 12: The sixty four million dollar question is whether Israel can
- 27:48Speaker 12: hit the nuclear facility in four Doh without American help
- 27:55Speaker 12: with the bunker buster bomb can only be carried by
- 27:59Speaker 12: an American aircraft. And you know, Trump is better than Biden.
- 28:03Speaker 12: Biden wouldn't have allowed Israel to do this, but the
- 28:06Speaker 12: Israelis very much wanted Trump wanted the Americans to help
- 28:09Speaker 12: them because they have so much more powerful an air force.
- 28:12Speaker 12: And Trump is now facing a little bit of a
- 28:14Speaker 12: rebellion in the lunatic MAGA ranks. You know that idiot
- 28:18Speaker 12: Tucker Carlson has turned against Israel and thinks Trump has
- 28:22Speaker 12: portrayed America by supporting Israel.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Yeah, that kind of gang.
- 28:27Speaker 12: They're They're as bad as the far left. They're just
- 28:29Speaker 12: as deranged, and I think it emanates from the same
- 28:32Speaker 12: kind of self hatred of our civilization that you find
- 28:35Speaker 12: on the far left. But Trump, to his credit, is
- 28:38Speaker 12: not preventing Israel from doing anything. I think his talk,
- 28:42Speaker 12: you know, it's easy to get a deal between Israel
- 28:45Speaker 12: and Iran. I think that's silly talk from Trump. But
- 28:48Speaker 12: on the other hand, he says sometimes you've got to
- 28:50Speaker 12: fight it out. Who knows what he means really, But
- 28:52Speaker 12: I think the Israelis will keep going for as long
- 28:55Speaker 12: as they think they can make more damage on the
- 28:58Speaker 12: Iranian nuclear program. They're only going to do this once
- 29:02Speaker 12: probably unless they have to do it again, but it
- 29:05Speaker 12: was probably once in twenty years or maybe once only
- 29:08Speaker 12: ever in history, hopefully, so they're going to do it
- 29:10Speaker 12: as thoroughly as possible. And I think they are also
- 29:14Speaker 12: probably degrading Iran's capacity to keep hitting them. So I
- 29:19Speaker 12: would expect it to go for some days yet, and
- 29:23Speaker 12: political pressure will mount on Israel, you know. I mean,
- 29:26Speaker 12: our government's contribution is sort of pathetic and banal and meaningless.
- 29:31Speaker 12: But nonetheless, I'm sure the Israelis are determined, and Trump
- 29:34Speaker 12: has got their back in the most essential way. So
- 29:37Speaker 12: Trump deserves credit for that.
- 29:41Speaker 1: I showed at the top of the show, Greg how
- 29:43Speaker 1: closely Iran is getting to know in nuclear bombs. Now
- 29:46Speaker 1: for Israel, of course, there could be the total destruction
- 29:48Speaker 1: of the world's only Jewish state. It just would you know,
- 29:50Speaker 1: like I said, a third of the size of TASMANI
- 29:52Speaker 1: how many bombs would that take? But what would it
- 29:55Speaker 1: mean for the rest of the world Iran having nuclear weapons?
- 30:01Speaker 12: Well, Andrew I explore this in a column tomorrow. What
- 30:05Speaker 12: we are seeing is two terrible trends in the contemporary Well,
- 30:08Speaker 12: I mean, we're seeing a thousand terrible trends. But we're
- 30:10Speaker 12: seeing nuclear weapons raw back into the center of all
- 30:14Speaker 12: strategic calculations, and we're seeing the breakdown of American extended
- 30:19Speaker 12: nuclear deterrence. All American allies except Israel and Britain and
- 30:24Speaker 12: France don't have nuclear weapons of their own, which means
- 30:27Speaker 12: we all shelter under extended American nuclear deterrence. That means
- 30:33Speaker 12: if a nuclear weapons state struck US with a nuclear weapon,
- 30:36Speaker 12: America would strike them with a nuclear weapon. But if
- 30:39Speaker 12: more semi rogue states like North Korea and Iran get
- 30:44Speaker 12: nuclear weapons, not only are they then impossible to deter
- 30:48Speaker 12: within their own region, because if you're taking serious military
- 30:51Speaker 12: action against them, they'll threaten nuclear weapons against you. But
- 30:55Speaker 12: the development of missile technology means that North Korea and
- 30:59Speaker 12: Iran will soon be able to hit the United States
- 31:02Speaker 12: itself with missiles. That means if North Korea is having
- 31:07Speaker 12: a confrontation with South Korea and America intervenes, North Korea
- 31:11Speaker 12: can threaten Los Angeles and San Francisco with nuclear annihilation.
- 31:15Speaker 12: And if Iran gets the nuclear bomb, it will also
- 31:19Speaker 12: be able to do that. And we know that China
- 31:21Speaker 12: proliferated nuclear technology to Pakistan and to Iran precisely to
- 31:27Speaker 12: hurt India and to hurt America. All this proliferation ultimately
- 31:31Speaker 12: comes from China and some of it from North Korea,
- 31:35Speaker 12: from China through North Korea, and it would be a
- 31:39Speaker 12: diabolical strategic development for the world if Iran gets nuclear weapons,
- 31:43Speaker 12: and if it does, then quite sensibly, probably Saudi Arabia
- 31:47Speaker 12: and other nations in the Middle East would also want
- 31:50Speaker 12: nuclear weapons to provide for their own security. And a
- 31:54Speaker 12: world in which we go from seven or eight nuclear
- 31:57Speaker 12: weapons states to maybe ten or twelve or fifteen is
- 32:01Speaker 12: a thousand times more dangerous.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Particularly when one of those countries is led by what
- 32:07Speaker 1: we would consider irrational leadership with religious motivations, end of
- 32:11Speaker 1: the world type of motivations that are different moral paradigm
- 32:15Speaker 1: completely that we cannot talk them out of just quickly. Greg,
- 32:20Speaker 1: and this thing, this is a you know, one of
- 32:22Speaker 1: the things that's driving China's this belief that the West
- 32:25Speaker 1: is in collapse, that America is in collapse. Not saying
- 32:28Speaker 1: it's right, not saying it's wrong. That is actually a
- 32:30Speaker 1: firm belief. Dictator of China mentions it often. There is
- 32:35Speaker 1: indeed almost a civil war right now in America. I
- 32:37Speaker 1: exaggerate a bit, but cracky from the pictures, and it's
- 32:40Speaker 1: whipped along by reckless Democrat politicians. These writers in Los
- 32:44Speaker 1: Angeles waving Mexican flags, attacking federal agents trying to deport
- 32:48Speaker 1: a legal immigrants, the Democrat assembly woman who posted a
- 32:52Speaker 1: picture of Donald Trump being beheaded, a Democrat deputy mayor
- 32:56Speaker 1: urging protesters to fight. Here is.
- 33:00Speaker 13: People alone, because we will fight and we defend them.
- 33:04Speaker 1: And then Greg, there's the appalling Minnesota Governor Tim Wolts,
- 33:06Speaker 1: who ran for vice president last year, attending Democrats to
- 33:09Speaker 1: actually get.
- 33:10Speaker 13: Meaner because I called Donald Trump a wanna be dictator.
- 33:15Speaker 13: It's because he is.
- 33:17Speaker 1: It's because he is.
- 33:19Speaker 13: The governor's being mean, and the governor's speaking out on that. Well,
- 33:22Speaker 13: maybe it's time for us to be a little meaner.
- 33:24Speaker 13: Maybe it's time for us to be a little more fierce,
- 33:29Speaker 13: because we have to ferociously push back on this.
- 33:36Speaker 1: And look at this, you turn from this hypocrite. Two
- 33:38Speaker 1: weeks ago he said that. Then a Nutter apparent wearing
- 33:42Speaker 1: a rubber mask pretend to be a policeman, assassinated two
- 33:45Speaker 1: Democrat politicians in Woltz's own state, shot another, and now
- 33:49Speaker 1: Walt's preaching love instead.
- 33:51Speaker 12: Here is.
- 33:53Speaker 13: Now's the time for us to recommit to the core
- 33:56Speaker 13: values of this country, and each and every one of
- 33:59Speaker 13: us can do it. Talk to a neighbor rather than arguing,
- 34:03Speaker 13: debate an issue, shake hands, fine common ground.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Frankly, Greg, the man's a scumbag. But what is happening
- 34:11Speaker 1: to America?
- 34:14Speaker 12: Well, Andrew, I agree with you absolutely, But at the
- 34:18Speaker 12: risk of sounding like a pathetic, simpering globalist centrist, I'd
- 34:23Speaker 12: say both sides of American politics, I would say both
- 34:27Speaker 12: sides of American politics are pretty much equally guilty at
- 34:30Speaker 12: this Trump himself. I mean, Trump has a lot of
- 34:33Speaker 12: pluses and a lot of minuses, but Trump himself speaks
- 34:36Speaker 12: of his domestic opponents in the most often vile and disgusting.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Terms and.
- 34:44Speaker 12: Refers to people routinely as rapists and murderers and criminals
- 34:48Speaker 12: and crooked and all.
- 34:49Speaker 1: The rest of it.
- 34:50Speaker 12: And I think in a sense, this terrible conflagration in
- 34:54Speaker 12: Los Angeles has suited both Donald Trump and Gavin Newsom
- 34:58Speaker 12: perfectly well, because in a America, you win by exciting
- 35:02Speaker 12: your base, and Trump and Newsom both got to excite
- 35:05Speaker 12: their base by demonizing each other. So I think there
- 35:09Speaker 12: is a terrible breakdown of basic civility in America. I
- 35:13Speaker 12: urge people to watch that wonderful movie Reagan. Not only
- 35:16Speaker 12: is it a different time in America, but Reagan is
- 35:18Speaker 12: just a different leader.
- 35:20Speaker 1: You know it.
- 35:21Speaker 12: Just laugh at you if you insulted him.
- 35:23Speaker 1: It's smile.
- 35:24Speaker 12: And I think both sides of American politics, driven partly
- 35:29Speaker 12: by social media, are really very dangerously demonizing each other
- 35:36Speaker 12: when the worst of them generally are that they're idiots,
- 35:40Speaker 12: they're not really murderers. And you want to be dictators
- 35:44Speaker 12: and scumbags and all the rest of me.
- 35:47Speaker 1: If you thought you're going to arguement from me, you're wrong.
- 35:49Speaker 1: I agree with you completely. I would also add George W.
- 35:53Speaker 1: Bush Bush Junior to that list of people that believe
- 35:56Speaker 1: in civility even to their worst enemies. Thank you so much,
- 35:59Speaker 1: indeed for your unbelievable what's going on after the break
- 36:05Speaker 1: another Sydney shooting plus the vicious hatred preached in Australia's
- 36:09Speaker 1: top university, including against me by the way police have
- 36:12Speaker 1: been called in what has immigration done to us? I
- 36:19Speaker 1: mean last week I read this headline and the homepage
- 36:21Speaker 1: of the Daily Telegraph, A lynched senior gangland figures home
- 36:24Speaker 1: shot up as he drove to court, and I read
- 36:26Speaker 1: this was in Western Sydney gangland shots Western Sydney. Didn't
- 36:30Speaker 1: need to click through the story to know we were
- 36:32Speaker 1: talking about a man in Middle Eastern background. After so
- 36:36Speaker 1: many cases fair court and today same thing. Three people
- 36:39Speaker 1: shot in a kebab shot in Auburn, same conclusion, sept
- 36:42Speaker 1: to this time one of the wounded was a bystander,
- 36:45Speaker 1: a poor woman now fighting for her life. The real
- 36:48Speaker 1: target seems to be in this man, Saminjan Azari linked
- 36:52Speaker 1: to Gangland wars, the Ala Medina Alimedin clan. Big surprise,
- 36:57Speaker 1: do you feel cultural enriched with people like this? That
- 37:03Speaker 1: we're being undermined in another way? Two days after the
- 37:06Speaker 1: Himas terrorists slaughtered twelve hundred Israelis, raped women, etc. Beheaded men,
- 37:12Speaker 1: and before Israel hit back, staff of Sydney University marched
- 37:16Speaker 1: against Israel. With his Sydney University lecturer Nick Rien was
- 37:19Speaker 1: saying he couldn't condemn what he must have done.
- 37:22Speaker 9: So where staff from Sydney University.
- 37:25Speaker 14: We're saying that resistance is justified and we're here to join.
- 37:30Speaker 11: Our voices to those of everyone else, saying that Israel
- 37:33Speaker 11: is a terrorist settler state.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Also that rally was this casual academic at Sydney University
- 37:39Speaker 1: fora Hadali also refusing to have any pity for the
- 37:41Speaker 1: slaughtered Jews. Let me run this graphic for this grab
- 37:45Speaker 1: for you calling them settlers defending the barbaric violence.
- 37:50Speaker 9: Is always justified.
- 37:53Speaker 6: For as long as Talistani occupied everywhere to Advercage, I'm
- 38:01Speaker 6: not going to stand before.
- 38:02Speaker 2: You and shed tears over.
- 38:06Speaker 1: The terrified settlers. Well, now that guy fahd Ali is
- 38:13Speaker 1: our posted this death wish for Jews who believe in
- 38:16Speaker 1: israel f sanctions. He said, I want Zionists executed like
- 38:21Speaker 1: we executed Nazis, which has the university in our referring
- 38:25Speaker 1: him to police. But I wonder what else is going
- 38:27Speaker 1: on at that university because another part time academic and
- 38:30Speaker 1: un official there posted this warning to me and other
- 38:34Speaker 1: Israel supporters. We'll get you one day, you seditious, traitorous scum.
- 38:39Speaker 1: I was just doing my job. Won't cut it when
- 38:41Speaker 1: the Holy PELOI finally start lopping off heads join me
- 38:45Speaker 1: as Lisa Goddard, former foreign correspondent and founder of ad
- 38:48Speaker 1: Only Media, and Steven Tavura, an author and senior lecturer
- 38:52Speaker 1: in history the Champion College. I mean, seriously, Lisa, that
- 38:56Speaker 1: sort of vicious hatred from one of Australia's top universities.
- 39:00Speaker 1: What on earth does that tell you?
- 39:03Speaker 3: Yeah, Andrew, it's appauing. But don't forget. We saw the
- 39:05Speaker 3: encampment at the concambment at that exact same university that
- 39:08Speaker 3: went on for two months. Jewish students too frightened to
- 39:11Speaker 3: go on to campus, even talk of setting up a
- 39:13Speaker 3: separate entrance for them to arrive at the campus. So
- 39:15Speaker 3: Mark Scott, vice Chancellor, he has to answer some questions.
- 39:18Speaker 3: At the time he apologized the Jewish students, and I think,
- 39:21Speaker 3: if memory serves me correctly, he said something about I
- 39:23Speaker 3: wasn't curious enough how it impacted them or affected them. Well,
- 39:27Speaker 3: one can suggest today, after listening to that, perhaps he
- 39:29Speaker 3: hasn't been curious enough to understand what academics are saying
- 39:32Speaker 3: within that same establishment. Because Jewish students can't watch that
- 39:36Speaker 3: and think that they feel safe for that university.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Is extraordinary. Stephen, take it that your university doesn't have
- 39:43Speaker 1: little nuclear's, you know, nuclear chain reactions of hatred like that,
- 39:51Speaker 1: not at all.
- 39:52Speaker 14: At Campion College in Sydney, we teach our students the
- 39:55Speaker 14: greatest achievements of Western civilization. We induct them into the
- 40:00Speaker 14: texts and we teach them how to think virtuously. And
- 40:03Speaker 14: I think what people in Australia need to understand is
- 40:05Speaker 14: that those the ideology that you just heard in those quotes,
- 40:09Speaker 14: it is mainstream in the universities. It is not fringe.
- 40:11Speaker 14: And the other thing is that it is not only
- 40:13Speaker 14: applied to Israel, it is also applied to Australia. These
- 40:17Speaker 14: academics see Australia as just as illegitimate, just as much
- 40:20Speaker 14: as a settler colonial state as Israel. The universities have
- 40:25Speaker 14: been one of the greatest agents undermining social cohesion in
- 40:28Speaker 14: this country's history.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Loved Anthony Alberinezi trying to stop a journalist on the
- 40:37Speaker 1: weekend asking the head of Amazon Web Services a question
- 40:41Speaker 1: about nuclear power. Amazon, who serves as plans to use
- 40:44Speaker 1: nuclear energy to powers artificial intelligence centers which need huge
- 40:48Speaker 1: amounts of electricity and by the way, it's invested absolute
- 40:52Speaker 1: billions in Australia. Listen to.
- 40:54Speaker 10: This is nuclear in addition to renewables, something that will
- 41:00Speaker 10: be needed to ensure that humanity can get to those
- 41:03Speaker 10: next levels.
- 41:04Speaker 5: I think to be fair, Jeff asking the USCO about
- 41:09Speaker 5: domestic energy policies, it's about.
- 41:16Speaker 15: I'm okay, look, I think you know, definitely the explosion
- 41:22Speaker 15: of AI requires a lot of power, and so that's
- 41:25Speaker 15: one of the things we're thinking about. I think here
- 41:27Speaker 15: in the United States we see nuclear as part of
- 41:29Speaker 15: that portfolio.
- 41:32Speaker 1: God, what did that exchange to you?
- 41:36Speaker 3: Do you think he was trying to dodge the question, Andrew?
- 41:38Speaker 3: I know I work with the executives and politicians try
- 41:40Speaker 3: to avoid answering the question, and I think that was
- 41:43Speaker 3: a fine example of one, because look, the reality is
- 41:45Speaker 3: we need reliable power. If you're going to have AI,
- 41:48Speaker 3: you're going to have data centers, you then need reliable
- 41:50Speaker 3: energy that comes from nuclear. You're not going to attach
- 41:53Speaker 3: these data centers to say, hey, Amazon, come out here
- 41:56Speaker 3: and we'll provide you with all of the wind farms
- 41:57Speaker 3: and the solar factories that you like. It's not going
- 41:59Speaker 3: to be reliable. And look at the US, They've just
- 42:02Speaker 3: signed a deal to have nuclear power for these data centers.
- 42:05Speaker 3: So the fact that Anthony Albanezi knows this is an
- 42:07Speaker 3: issue and he squirmed his way out of it. The
- 42:09Speaker 3: other point I want to make is why did the
- 42:11Speaker 3: coalition not make a point of this in the last election.
- 42:15Speaker 3: If they're trying to push a clear narrative around the
- 42:17Speaker 3: need for nuclear we all know the role that AI
- 42:20Speaker 3: and data centers play in our day to day lives.
- 42:23Speaker 3: Link it back to that make it relatable for the
- 42:25Speaker 3: average oddie to understand why we need it.
- 42:28Speaker 1: Lisa, don't go back to that campaign. That is one
- 42:31Speaker 1: of the great mysteries to me too. Absolutely, Stephen Trevura
- 42:35Speaker 1: seems that there's another forbidden n word when it comes
- 42:39Speaker 1: to Anthony Albinezi. He didn't just dodge a question, he
- 42:43Speaker 1: tried to make the other guy dodge it too.
- 42:47Speaker 14: I don't blame him. I mean the International Energy Agency
- 42:50Speaker 14: in January this year compared countries energy prices and found
- 42:54Speaker 14: that those countries that rely most on wind and solar energies,
- 42:58Speaker 14: they have the highest energy prices. And that's exactly where
- 43:01Speaker 14: the Albanese government wants to take us. China last year
- 43:05Speaker 14: burned more coal than every other country in the world combined,
- 43:08Speaker 14: and its only promise is that it's going to burn more.
- 43:11Speaker 14: So this is a phenomenal opportunity for the Liberal party
- 43:14Speaker 14: to set itself apart from the Labor Party and to
- 43:17Speaker 14: emphasize our coal. We've got so much of it that
- 43:20Speaker 14: we can dig up. We should be having the cheapest
- 43:22Speaker 14: energy prices in the world, coal, gas and nuclear. It's
- 43:26Speaker 14: an incredible opportunity. Why won't the Liberals take it up?
- 43:31Speaker 1: Oh? Very good, well, said absolutely Liza god I see
- 43:35Speaker 1: if Javera. Thank you very much to you both. Really
- 43:38Speaker 1: appreciate that. After the break, Britain's Prime minister is shamed it.
- 43:41Speaker 1: According to inquiring to Britain's grooming games and into the
- 43:46Speaker 1: cover ups. I'll tell you why after this, and there's
- 43:52Speaker 1: been so little debate about immigration in the West, is
- 43:54Speaker 1: that people are terrified of seeming racist, so they shut
- 43:57Speaker 1: up until it's gone too far. Last week and other
- 44:01Speaker 1: seven men and yet another rape gang in Britain were
- 44:04Speaker 1: convicted of grooming and raping underage girls two decades ago.
- 44:07Speaker 1: You might see a common thing about them. Before that,
- 44:10Speaker 1: there were many other such gangs ethnically similar, including in
- 44:14Speaker 1: Rotherham and in Newcastle. Again, as you can see, many
- 44:17Speaker 1: men of Pakistani background in Huddersfield and also in Oxford
- 44:21Speaker 1: and in Telford, and often it was the same story.
- 44:24Speaker 1: Police and officials scared for years to take action for
- 44:27Speaker 1: fear of seeming racist. Now Britain's slabor government it first
- 44:33Speaker 1: seemed also paralyzed by fear of jumping on the bandwagon
- 44:37Speaker 1: to the fire right. They refused to hold an inquiry
- 44:39Speaker 1: into gangs that had ruined so many girls' lives, the
- 44:42Speaker 1: Prime Minister suggesting an inquiry would be racist, calling for
- 44:46Speaker 1: inquirers because they want to jump on a bandwagon of
- 44:50Speaker 1: the far right and that affects politics. Suddenly, on Saturday,
- 44:55Speaker 1: the U turned the Prime Minister said there would be
- 44:58Speaker 1: a national inquiry into grooming gangs after all. Joining me
- 45:01Speaker 1: from London is writ broadcaster an author. It's the Kraku.
- 45:05Speaker 1: It's always great to see you. Why the sudden change
- 45:08Speaker 1: of mind.
- 45:10Speaker 16: Well because it was no longer politically expedient for him
- 45:13Speaker 16: to reject the justice that these thousands, potentially hundreds of
- 45:17Speaker 16: thousands of girls have suffered for years. I just want
- 45:19Speaker 16: to put into context just how scandalous this is. So
- 45:22Speaker 16: there was an MP, a Labor MP and crier who
- 45:24Speaker 16: back in two thousand and one raised this issue in
- 45:27Speaker 16: Parliament talking about men of South Asian heritage, you know,
- 45:30Speaker 16: grooming girls in cities across the UK. This was in
- 45:33Speaker 16: two thousand and one, and then in two thousand and
- 45:35Speaker 16: seven you had journalists Julie Bindle Wright a first piece
- 45:37Speaker 16: on it that became you know, that brought the story
- 45:39Speaker 16: to national attention. Almost twenty years later, nothing has changed.
- 45:44Speaker 16: And the reason why the Labor Party didn't want to
- 45:46Speaker 16: hold this inquiri is because it was mainly affecting Labor
- 45:49Speaker 16: held councils and counselors and it showed the inaction of
- 45:52Speaker 16: a lot of these Labor held seats and you have
- 45:55Speaker 16: to just reel back in horror that the rape and
- 45:59Speaker 16: abuse of girls, underage girls by these evil, evil men
- 46:04Speaker 16: came second to the fact that the Labor Party didn't
- 46:06Speaker 16: want to lose votes or didn't want to mar a
- 46:09Speaker 16: certain community or taint them with a bad brush. But
- 46:12Speaker 16: unfortunately kirs stomach can no longer run away from this
- 46:15Speaker 16: because a Home Office report has directly is directly going
- 46:18Speaker 16: to link illegal immigration with this grooming gang scandal, and
- 46:22Speaker 16: at that point you just can't you just can't stop
- 46:24Speaker 16: it anymore. So unfortunately he's had to cave to political pressure.
- 46:27Speaker 16: But what it just shows is the cowardice of this
- 46:29Speaker 16: Labor government, the fact that even when young girls are
- 46:32Speaker 16: being raped and abused, what is politically expedient for the
- 46:35Speaker 16: party always takes precedents, and someone like Jess Phillips, who's
- 46:38Speaker 16: supposed to be the safeguarding Minister for women and girls,
- 46:42Speaker 16: turned a blind eye to this and actually refused to
- 46:44Speaker 16: hold a national inquiry and helped water down local inquiries
- 46:48Speaker 16: by the same councils that failed these girls. I mean,
- 46:50Speaker 16: it's a complete national outrage and it's a shame on
- 46:52Speaker 16: Britain and the world should chame Britain for the scandal.
- 46:57Speaker 1: Now, this report to Home Affairs Office, what is the
- 47:02Speaker 1: link it's drawn with immigration that this inquiry will now
- 47:05Speaker 1: look at.
- 47:07Speaker 17: So it's going to.
- 47:08Speaker 16: Draw an explicit link, as in a direct link between
- 47:10Speaker 16: the illegal immigration and the proliferation of these gangs. And
- 47:14Speaker 16: also it's going to show that many people that were
- 47:17Speaker 16: supposed to be safeguarding these girls, many counselors and public
- 47:20Speaker 16: officials directly refuse to investigate this and take action because
- 47:24Speaker 16: they were allegedly scared of being called racist or they
- 47:27Speaker 16: were directly complicit in it. We've actually seen some counselors
- 47:31Speaker 16: from some regions actually being arrested for.
- 47:34Speaker 17: Being part of these rape gangs. I mean it really
- 47:36Speaker 17: beggars believe.
- 47:37Speaker 16: You cannot believe the degree of negligence and complicity in
- 47:40Speaker 16: this scandal. And this hopefully national inquiry will unveil all
- 47:44Speaker 16: of it and put those people to shame.
- 47:48Speaker 1: And we're talking really about things that haven't been properly
- 47:51Speaker 1: looked at for nearly two decads. In some cases, it.
- 47:55Speaker 16: Is completely outrageous and I mean one of the things
- 47:58Speaker 16: that really brought it to life and spurred in Moscow
- 48:00Speaker 16: to raise it to national prominence back earlier this year
- 48:04Speaker 16: was the court documents.
- 48:05Speaker 17: Actually, so when you read the court transcripts.
- 48:07Speaker 16: Of girls that were burnt, that had you know, glass
- 48:10Speaker 16: bottles inserted into various orifices in their body that were branded.
- 48:14Speaker 16: One girl was literally threatened to be made into kebab
- 48:17Speaker 16: meat and then she vanished and was found to be
- 48:18Speaker 16: brutally murdered. It is really the stuff of nightmares and
- 48:22Speaker 16: this idea that you know, counselors and officials didn't want
- 48:25Speaker 16: to raise it because they didn't want to seem racist.
- 48:26Speaker 17: I mean, imagine if on the flip side, if you had.
- 48:29Speaker 16: A group of white men from Britain raping girls in Pakistan,
- 48:32Speaker 16: whether the media and politicians would be in any way
- 48:35Speaker 16: concerned about how it would make them look.
- 48:36Speaker 17: It's completely outrageous.
- 48:40Speaker 1: Oh, it's just so so shocking. Wanted to seem good,
- 48:44Speaker 1: condoning at a depraved evil. It's the correctly. Thank you
- 48:48Speaker 1: so much for your time. That's it for me. Sherry
- 48:51Speaker 1: Maxson is next. Good night,
