- 1:02Speaker 4: I'm gonna be real honest with you.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Since since the last time we talked.
- 1:09Speaker 3: It's true, that's true.
- 1:10Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, I'm still I'm flying high from my
- 1:13Speaker 4: fishing trip and still just like thinking about that.
- 1:20Speaker 2: That was that was so much fun.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Yeah, that's so great. I saw your pictures.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I put some picks up. I loved it,
- 1:28Speaker 2: you know, and it's been fun.
- 1:30Speaker 4: I got to, you know, see the fam again and
- 1:33Speaker 4: we hung out and great. Yeah, just nothing I haven't
- 1:40Speaker 4: had the fish fry yet, but we're gone, how farn
- 1:43Speaker 4: very soon.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Do the kids like fish?
- 1:46Speaker 2: They do?
- 1:47Speaker 3: You know?
- 1:49Speaker 4: Yeah, got a little weirded out this summer knowing that,
- 1:53Speaker 4: you know, the ones that we caught we were going
- 1:55Speaker 4: to eat.
- 1:56Speaker 2: I had to come to terms with.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Go over great, I get that. So we're still figuring
- 2:04Speaker 4: it out. Yeah, you know here you but but yes.
- 2:08Speaker 2: They like fish, which is great.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Fun?
- 2:10Speaker 2: Yeah, anything new with you? Fun?
- 2:13Speaker 3: Yeah? What is new with me? I get to go
- 2:17Speaker 3: to DC next week.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Cool.
- 2:20Speaker 3: I'm going to be there for ah four days.
- 2:23Speaker 2: That's a long time.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Little conference action, So that'll be interesting and fun.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Are you going to be able to do any sight seeing?
- 2:31Speaker 3: I think so. I'm not one hundred percent sure yet.
- 2:36Speaker 3: I have a cousin out there. It's actually like I
- 2:39Speaker 3: guess second cousin because it's my cousin's kiddo now. But
- 2:45Speaker 3: he's a man about town out there, and he's going
- 2:48Speaker 3: to take me and a couple coworkers out for dinner
- 2:50Speaker 3: one of the nights, and we basically were just like,
- 2:53Speaker 3: show us, show us the deal man, let's go. This
- 2:56Speaker 3: will be fun. You bring it because he's a I
- 2:58Speaker 3: think he's like twenty four, twenty five, you know, and
- 3:02Speaker 3: like a young hip young men. So'll out with the
- 3:05Speaker 3: young bucks. Yeah, I guess, So we'll see what happens.
- 3:10Speaker 3: And I we're staying at did I tell you this?
- 3:12Speaker 3: We're staying at the Watergate Hotel, which is fun. We
- 3:17Speaker 3: were like when we were picking our spots. One of
- 3:19Speaker 3: the coworkers was like, what about the Watergate and I
- 3:21Speaker 3: was like, yeah, I want to stay there. That sounds
- 3:24Speaker 3: weird and fun. I like it. Yeah, it looks like
- 3:26Speaker 3: a nice hotel as well, which I guess I just
- 3:29Speaker 3: didn't know. H And uh, I'll probably do the like
- 3:33Speaker 3: the that whole what is that called the whole like
- 3:38Speaker 3: you know, it's that whole strip you get to see
- 3:40Speaker 3: like the Washington Memorial you start at Congress, you keep
- 3:43Speaker 3: walking Lincoln Memorial, that whole thing. There's a word for it,
- 3:47Speaker 3: but I don't know what it is. So I'll probably
- 3:49Speaker 3: get to do that.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Do that.
- 3:51Speaker 3: You know what that word is?
- 3:52Speaker 2: I don't know what you know, the infinity I don't remember.
- 3:57Speaker 3: I mean it is that, but there's like.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't remember, but I've been there a few times.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Yeah, what should I see there? You've been there more
- 4:04Speaker 3: recently than I've only been once.
- 4:06Speaker 4: You know, the Smithsonian is so huge that it's pretty tough,
- 4:10Speaker 4: you know, to even.
- 4:12Speaker 3: I don't time to do that or not, but.
- 4:16Speaker 4: I mean even just like little bits of the Smithsonian
- 4:18Speaker 4: are incredible for all that history.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Is so cool? National Mall?
- 4:22Speaker 2: Is that what I was sall? Yeah, that's what I
- 4:26Speaker 2: was thinking of.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a good idea I should look up. I
- 4:28Speaker 3: don't know. I think most days we're done at like
- 4:33Speaker 3: I don't know, five or six, that's probably enough time
- 4:35Speaker 3: to get a museum night in. Right. Yeah, my dad.
- 4:38Speaker 2: And I did one of the big art museums there.
- 4:41Speaker 2: I don't remember what it's called, fun some gallery, and
- 4:45Speaker 2: that was pretty cool.
- 4:46Speaker 3: I've actually never been to the Holocaust Museum, so I
- 4:49Speaker 3: might try to do that. Even it's not you know, fun.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Obviously heavy, it sounds like it is quite the experience though.
- 4:57Speaker 3: So important though, right too, Oh, I don't know, we'll see,
- 5:02Speaker 3: we'll see what it looks like. I'm also going to be,
- 5:04Speaker 3: you know, going to lectures all day and stuff, so
- 5:07Speaker 3: my mind might be like I don't want to do that.
- 5:10Speaker 2: I don't want to take any more. Well, then maybe
- 5:13Speaker 2: you can see a Wizard's Game.
- 5:16Speaker 3: I am thinking about it their they're home on Thursday,
- 5:19Speaker 3: so that's definitely a possibility. They played the books.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Cool to pretty bad teams.
- 5:25Speaker 3: I'm going to bring a wolf's jersey just in case. Yeah,
- 5:29Speaker 3: just in case. So that's what's new.
- 5:31Speaker 2: You're gonna watch any movies on the plane?
- 5:33Speaker 3: I doubt it, but maybe i'll probably. I've taken to
- 5:38Speaker 3: reading on the plane more. They interrupt the movies. You
- 5:41Speaker 3: have to do, like the Math about Am I gonna
- 5:43Speaker 3: have enough time to finish it?
- 5:45Speaker 2: Sure?
- 5:47Speaker 3: I don't know. Well, but I haven't seen movies lately.
- 5:51Speaker 2: That is kind of where I was going with that.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Yes, it's being a turd. I'm sorry. I watched a
- 5:56Speaker 3: great movie, Rob I went to the theater pretty short.
- 6:02Speaker 3: I think it was in the theater I rented. It
- 6:04Speaker 3: doesn't matter. I'm pretty sure it was in the theater.
- 6:06Speaker 3: But Blue Moon, have you seen or heard of this movie?
- 6:09Speaker 2: I did see it.
- 6:11Speaker 3: You saw it? I fun, I really liked it. This
- 6:15Speaker 3: is the story of Lauren's heart's struggles with alcoholism. But
- 6:20Speaker 3: easy for me to say as he tries to had
- 6:23Speaker 3: a few drinks before this, sayface. During the opening of Oklahoma,
- 6:29Speaker 3: played by the lovely Ethan Hawk, and it's kind of
- 6:33Speaker 3: like Ethan Hawk about a Bobby Cannavale Andrew Scott who's
- 6:38Speaker 3: so fun and then Margaret Qually are kind of the
- 6:40Speaker 3: biggest parts.
- 6:41Speaker 2: In this for sure felt like a play. One hundred percent.
- 6:45Speaker 3: Felt like a play, and I wonder if maybe it
- 6:48Speaker 3: was written that way Originally. I really liked it. I
- 6:51Speaker 3: thought it was really compelling. I was really thrown off
- 6:55Speaker 3: by the height stuff, Like right away, I googled, like,
- 6:58Speaker 3: is he super short? And they're doing force perspective and
- 7:02Speaker 3: it turns out they were, and that is a thing.
- 7:04Speaker 3: So that was because I was like, Ethan Hawk is
- 7:06Speaker 3: not that short? What's happening?
- 7:08Speaker 2: Right?
- 7:09Speaker 3: And it just felt very like purposeful. Yeah, I really
- 7:13Speaker 3: liked this movie a lot. I thought it was really
- 7:15Speaker 3: fun and super interesting and you know, kind of sad
- 7:19Speaker 3: in parts too, But I enjoyed it a lot. That
- 7:21Speaker 3: was pretty great.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Yeah, because I didn't really Yeah I knew that, you know,
- 7:26Speaker 4: everybody knows Rogers and Hammerstein.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't know this story at all.
- 7:29Speaker 4: It was Hammerstein in Heart before that, and they had
- 7:32Speaker 4: done a lot of work together. And then like the
- 7:35Speaker 4: first thing that Rogers and Hammerstine did Blew Up and
- 7:40Speaker 4: is one of the biggest musicals of all time, and
- 7:42Speaker 4: then they kind of just did.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Every other thing, which is crazy.
- 7:46Speaker 4: Yeah, but yeah, that was his old partner being like, cool,
- 7:51Speaker 4: I'm happy for you, right.
- 7:53Speaker 3: And also desperately not happy for him, right. Yeah, but yeah,
- 7:59Speaker 3: I thought was really well done, so good. It was
- 8:02Speaker 3: fun fun. I wonder if we'll get a non for that.
- 8:05Speaker 2: He might And that's a that's a link later film too.
- 8:09Speaker 2: He had two this year.
- 8:10Speaker 3: So oh, what was the other one.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Novelle Vague?
- 8:15Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I never saw that.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Yeah, it's Netflix.
- 8:19Speaker 3: I have to check it up. But I really like
- 8:20Speaker 3: this whenever it comes on a streamer. If you're into
- 8:23Speaker 3: sort of like an arty, it is like a play
- 8:27Speaker 3: kind of thing. Dialogue going on, tons of dialogue. But
- 8:32Speaker 3: how about you? What he'd been watching.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Went to the theater as well, and I figured it
- 8:38Speaker 4: was appropriate to talk about this new film I've seen
- 8:41Speaker 4: that features the music of Neil Diamond.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Fun and it's called Sung Sung Blue Fun.
- 8:49Speaker 3: We're a couple of blues brothers tonight like that. How
- 8:54Speaker 3: was this? I haven't seen it yet, but I'm intriguing.
- 8:57Speaker 4: Yeah, so it features Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson. It's
- 9:01Speaker 4: still in theaters. They're both incredible. They play real life
- 9:07Speaker 4: tribute singers and decide to start a Neil Diamond cover
- 9:11Speaker 4: band and it starts to blow up in the Milwaukee area.
- 9:14Speaker 4: So Kate Hudson really rocks out a Wisconsin accent.
- 9:20Speaker 2: They did a great job. She really went for it.
- 9:23Speaker 3: It's fun.
- 9:24Speaker 2: There's some ups, there's some downs.
- 9:27Speaker 4: I guess my biggest critique is that it kind of
- 9:31Speaker 4: drags a bit in parts. They do a bunch of
- 9:35Speaker 4: musical numbers and like the whole song.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Oh so you're just like, are we really doing the
- 9:41Speaker 3: whole thing?
- 9:42Speaker 4: It was a lot, a lot, but it is a
- 9:45Speaker 4: compelling story. It was a true story, which was fun's wild,
- 9:50Speaker 4: but just the performances from both those two is definitely
- 9:54Speaker 4: worth seeing.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Cool. Yeah, I thought that was such a funny idea
- 9:57Speaker 3: when I like, it's a Neil Diamond movie, but not
- 10:00Speaker 3: about him, about a tribute act.
- 10:02Speaker 4: Right, it's such a weird You were the one who
- 10:05Speaker 4: told me that, because I was trying not really to
- 10:07Speaker 4: pay attention to the previews too much.
- 10:09Speaker 3: To that that's right, that's right.
- 10:11Speaker 4: Yeah, Yeah, And I just assumed that he was being
- 10:13Speaker 4: it was the story of Neil Diamond and.
- 10:15Speaker 3: It definitely was biopic or whatever. Right, Yeah, yeah that's cool. Yeah,
- 10:20Speaker 3: pretty crazy story fun.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Yeah cool. What have you been streaming?
- 10:25Speaker 3: I did a rewatch of Dune Part one? I think
- 10:31Speaker 3: because I saw Marty Supreme. Maybe let's check it out.
- 10:36Speaker 3: And man, that movie is so good. Robe just close
- 10:40Speaker 3: my doors off. I love that movie. Yeah, sound and
- 10:44Speaker 3: just everything about it. It's wild, so good. Yeah. So
- 10:47Speaker 3: I don't know if it was because we talked about
- 10:49Speaker 3: it that Massia's coming out this year, or the end
- 10:53Speaker 3: of the Chalamnis or what, but I really had a hankering,
- 10:56Speaker 3: so I watched. I actually ended up watching both. Oh
- 11:00Speaker 3: that's a commitment.
- 11:01Speaker 2: They're not short, Yeah, no they're not.
- 11:04Speaker 3: But man, they're so good. They're so good, really really fun,
- 11:08Speaker 3: great performances. Nieva may a Beautiful World. I don't know,
- 11:15Speaker 3: we've talked about these movies before, but they're fun. If
- 11:18Speaker 3: you haven't seen them, HBO Max has them both, so oh,
- 11:22Speaker 3: trick it out, trick it out? Yeah, what have you
- 11:25Speaker 3: been streaming?
- 11:26Speaker 2: But I took another recommendation that you gave me.
- 11:32Speaker 4: You saw this movie before I did? Interesting and it's
- 11:37Speaker 4: another real life story. Uh, and it is the Channing
- 11:41Speaker 4: Tatum led film roof man, Oh.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Yeah, what did you think?
- 11:47Speaker 4: I thought it was so good. I was really really
- 11:50Speaker 4: into it. I was trying to remember what it was on.
- 11:55Speaker 4: It's on Paramount Plus.
- 11:57Speaker 2: No yeah, yeah, but yeah.
- 12:01Speaker 4: So it's about this guy. He's fallen on hard times.
- 12:04Speaker 4: He wants to provide for his daughter, but to do that,
- 12:07Speaker 4: he starts stealing and then he ends.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Up in prison.
- 12:10Speaker 4: He ends up escaping prison, he ends up living in
- 12:13Speaker 4: a toys rs for many months. And it also starts
- 12:18Speaker 4: Kirsten Dunst and Peter Dinklice and like an extremely small
- 12:25Speaker 4: role from Ben Mendelssohn. I thought maybe he'd become like
- 12:28Speaker 4: a bigger role.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Me too. When I was watching, I was like, surely
- 12:32Speaker 3: there's more gonna be happening.
- 12:34Speaker 2: And really he.
- 12:35Speaker 4: Just got to show off his singing chops. Maybe that
- 12:38Speaker 4: was like, you know what, I just want to be
- 12:40Speaker 4: a singing pastor.
- 12:41Speaker 3: And he was great. But I just I'm with you.
- 12:45Speaker 3: I was like, oh, they got this guy. He's gonna
- 12:47Speaker 3: be utilized big time.
- 12:50Speaker 4: That was surprising, but you had alluded to it. It's
- 12:55Speaker 4: they make it seem really fun and Zany and there
- 12:58Speaker 4: are some there's some humor and stuff, but it's like
- 13:00Speaker 4: a pretty pretty uh dramatic story and I thought it
- 13:05Speaker 4: was really well done. There was both humor and drama,
- 13:10Speaker 4: and yeah, it's really worth checking out.
- 13:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I will say it's one of the rare examples
- 13:17Speaker 3: of where I was expecting it to be Morzany and
- 13:20Speaker 3: it wasn't. But I was like, oh, this is great. Actually,
- 13:24Speaker 3: this is yeah, so wonderfully done, because usually that's like,
- 13:27Speaker 3: oh no, this is just kind of a bummer hour
- 13:30Speaker 3: or whatever. Right, but yeah, they really they made a
- 13:33Speaker 3: great movie. I just think it was going to be
- 13:35Speaker 3: a little more silly than that.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Yeah, Kirsten Dunts is really good.
- 13:39Speaker 3: God she's so talented, dude. Yeah, he's so talented. Yeah,
- 13:44Speaker 3: one hundred percent with you on that one. Well, very cool.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Go check it out Paramount Plus. I wish she's probably
- 13:51Speaker 3: some plugs here, huh what do you think?
- 13:53Speaker 2: Plug it up?
- 13:54Speaker 3: All right, you guys go to the Twitter machine where

- 14:49Speaker 4: we're talking about, and for this one, we decided to
- 14:53Speaker 4: do our top five favorite movie duos ooh oohoo.
- 15:00Speaker 3: And you know, I think I think, in fairness, we
- 15:03Speaker 3: should probably tell the guests that we're off the board
- 15:05Speaker 3: right away, like it's it's just fair good call, because
- 15:10Speaker 3: jokes like that are pretty good, good good good. Yeah.
- 15:19Speaker 3: We're here. We're here today to talk about a lovely
- 15:22Speaker 3: little film from the year two thousand and one.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Rob twenty five years ago.
- 15:30Speaker 3: God, that's a long time ago. I was even thinking fifteen.
- 15:35Speaker 3: And Nope, that's not how math works. We're here to
- 15:38Speaker 3: talk a little saving Silverman, and we had to get
- 15:43Speaker 3: two young men to join us. Who robs Rob's wife
- 15:48Speaker 3: Kelsey does not like she doesn't care for him.
- 15:51Speaker 2: She's putting this out into the world.
- 15:54Speaker 3: No, it's not true.
- 15:55Speaker 2: I don't know true at all.
- 15:57Speaker 3: We're gonna have a great time. It is our old
- 16:00Speaker 3: else let's give it up for Adam Renegade Wilson and
- 16:02Speaker 3: Benny Ellen.
- 16:05Speaker 2: What's up, guys? Comedy?
- 16:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I love it.
- 16:16Speaker 2: How are you, fellas? We are just incredible, delightful, just delightful,
- 16:24Speaker 2: you're both both. Those things got kind of got kind
- 16:28Speaker 2: of cold here in New York, got almost almost Minnesota cold.
- 16:32Speaker 2: No way. Well, you know for these New Yorkers, you know,
- 16:35Speaker 2: any anything below forty out here and they're shivering in
- 16:39Speaker 2: their timbers. Yeah, we're in the teens now.
- 16:42Speaker 3: This one.
- 16:42Speaker 2: People lose it. Oh yeah, they lose it.
- 16:46Speaker 3: That is colder than that. Probably.
- 16:48Speaker 2: I don't know where you guys had like one.
- 16:51Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, we're getting negative this week. Sure, Yeah,
- 16:56Speaker 4: we might school on.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Friday, Dad, Dad, you stand for supper? Then? Yeah? Well yeah,
- 17:05Speaker 2: are you going to the store yet? Yeah, well we
- 17:07Speaker 2: need some hat.
- 17:09Speaker 3: Didn't the store?
- 17:10Speaker 2: Well, your dad has audy snowblowed the neighbor's drive. Of
- 17:13Speaker 2: course that was nice. Oh sure nice. Yeah.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Back home, they're under an exploding tree warning tonight. So
- 17:21Speaker 3: that's fun.
- 17:23Speaker 2: What does that even mean?
- 17:24Speaker 3: It means the temperature variation is so great between now
- 17:28Speaker 3: and tomorrow that the moisture in the trees will freeze
- 17:32Speaker 3: and then limbs will crack and break off and trees
- 17:35Speaker 3: will fall. Potentially is psychotic.
- 17:40Speaker 2: It's pretty crazy. And then it can also be ninety
- 17:43Speaker 2: nine degrees with nine humidity.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Yeah, we'll keep you on your toes. But I think
- 17:49Speaker 3: it's like a fifty degree swing they're expecting back home,
- 17:53Speaker 3: Like between today and tomorrow, let's be like and crazy
- 17:56Speaker 3: windy and stuff too. So that'll be fun.
- 17:58Speaker 4: Exploding trees, It sploitting trees, watch it, watch out, watch
- 18:03Speaker 4: the end.
- 18:03Speaker 3: So going to war?
- 18:05Speaker 2: What is it? What does the yellow diamond sign look
- 18:08Speaker 2: like for the exploding tree warning that? It's just it's
- 18:12Speaker 2: just like right after the deer crossing and it's great.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Minnesota what a dream.
- 18:19Speaker 3: I want to design that place to live. Sure it's
- 18:22Speaker 3: a pretty nice, pretty nice gang handsome dudes.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Though. Ah, that's true, I've heard.
- 18:30Speaker 3: I don't know why.
- 18:31Speaker 2: I haven't meant any of it.
- 18:32Speaker 3: I'm saying like, hey, oh come on, I see one
- 18:36Speaker 3: in the mirror multiple times a day. I just hang
- 18:40Speaker 3: out with him. I'm like a parrot. I think he's
- 18:42Speaker 3: another guy. It's interesting. Benny Ella, just here, high pal.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Anybody's see.
- 18:48Speaker 3: I'm sure so thrilled, your body so thrilled.
- 18:50Speaker 2: To be back. You have the first first pod of
- 18:55Speaker 2: twenty twenty six for Old Benny and Gagster figure.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Oh yeah, big year.
- 19:04Speaker 2: I would like to apologize to the audience. I've been
- 19:06Speaker 2: very I've been a little sick lately, and actually because
- 19:09Speaker 2: of Minnesota. I was in Minnesota visiting my family, and
- 19:11Speaker 2: every time I go there, it's like the only time
- 19:14Speaker 2: I ever get sick. My nieces and nephews, I don't know,
- 19:17Speaker 2: little kids. Man, you're laughing. I'm laughing like an eighty
- 19:22Speaker 2: five year old smoker. So I apologize to everyone. We're
- 19:26Speaker 2: sharing a mic, so that's great.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, cool, cool, cool cool cool.
- 19:30Speaker 5: Basically calling in sick tomorrow.
- 19:37Speaker 2: But yes, it's great to be here. Lovely to see everyone.
- 19:42Speaker 3: Yeah, A nice to see you too, Renegade, Adam renneged Wilson, Hi,
- 19:46Speaker 3: lovely to see you both, so excited.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Tell you what, there's a lot of epic films in
- 19:53Speaker 2: the world. You got your Godfathers and you got your
- 19:55Speaker 2: your Citizen Canes, but I can tell you what these
- 19:59Speaker 2: are the ones we live well.
- 20:00Speaker 6: I always love to see like you get every once
- 20:03Speaker 6: in a while you get a text of Robbie and
- 20:04Speaker 6: you you don't know what what it's gonna be.
- 20:10Speaker 2: This one was pretty exciting for both of us. Is exciting,
- 20:14Speaker 2: I believe. I believe Renegade's response was a thousand times yes,
- 20:21Speaker 2: and I couldn't even top yeah. I say, there's a couple.
- 20:27Speaker 6: There's a few movies out there that you can just
- 20:29Speaker 6: go in cold, like you could.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Tell you a minute before.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure, And.
- 20:34Speaker 2: This is one where we be ready to go. Yeah,
- 20:36Speaker 2: you could have told those five minutes ago we were
- 20:38Speaker 2: doing this. We did watch it multiple times the last
- 20:40Speaker 2: few days, but we did our homework, but we didn't
- 20:43Speaker 2: need to.
- 20:45Speaker 3: I just love we are starting twenty twenty six on
- 20:48Speaker 3: Just the Hottest Dumb comedy.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Telling the other telling the other two.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Uh black Sheep, we did we just we just the
- 20:57Speaker 3: other day Io Dome.
- 21:00Speaker 2: And saving do like Spotlight or something. Yeah, dang get
- 21:15Speaker 2: oh no.
- 21:15Speaker 4: And then the next one I think we have is
- 21:17Speaker 4: King Ralph. So we're just gonna keep. We're just gonna keep. Man,
- 21:23Speaker 4: we only do the hits, you know.
- 21:25Speaker 6: Yeah, I love Biodome. I think I put that as
- 21:28Speaker 6: a five star.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Man.
- 21:31Speaker 3: That movie sucks.
- 21:34Speaker 4: I just crapped all over it.
- 21:37Speaker 3: It was the only negative podcast we've ever done. I
- 21:39Speaker 3: think it was pretty brutal, but it's not good.
- 21:45Speaker 4: Yeah, he wanted to do it, and I kept it
- 21:47Speaker 4: pretty close to the vest that I've never liked that movie.
- 21:50Speaker 2: And uh yeah, I just got to wrap on it. Well,
- 21:52Speaker 2: you think about not the not the word. We're not
- 21:54Speaker 2: doing Biodome right now. Paul Paully Show's other movies. He's
- 21:58Speaker 2: he's surrounded by like really great actors and by him,
- 22:03Speaker 2: he's surrounded by like the ninth most talented Baldwin. That's tough.
- 22:12Speaker 2: I mean, I'm you know. I was never my favorite,
- 22:15Speaker 2: six it was. It was definitely my least favorite poly
- 22:17Speaker 2: short movie. Same because I liked in the army anyway,
- 22:23Speaker 2: who cares about those? Because we're talking about today. We're
- 22:26Speaker 2: not talking about a movie. We're talking about a film,
- 22:28Speaker 2: a film.
- 22:29Speaker 3: A film.
- 22:29Speaker 2: I love that.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Well, let's uh, let's get into this film, Rob, you
- 22:33Speaker 3: want to get it started with just a rough synopsis,
- 22:36Speaker 3: I sure would, okay.
- 22:37Speaker 2: The film traces the misadventures of buddies j D and Wayne,
- 22:42Speaker 2: who begin to suspect that their best friend, Darren Silverman
- 22:45Speaker 2: is going to allow himself to be badgered into marrying Judith,
- 22:49Speaker 2: a woman he doesn't love. They decide to reunite him
- 22:54Speaker 2: with his long lost love from their school days, even
- 22:57Speaker 2: if they have to kidnap Judith to do it.
- 23:02Speaker 3: Wow. Beautiful, nice, nice, nicely done. Let's go to Rotten Tomatoes.
- 23:07Speaker 3: Critics have this coming in at a full fourteen points
- 23:10Speaker 3: higher than Biodome at eighteen stop it.
- 23:15Speaker 2: That is way too eighteen eighteen.
- 23:19Speaker 3: It is pretty wild stop it not great. Audience members though,
- 23:24Speaker 3: all the way up to fifty one percent, which I
- 23:26Speaker 3: think is the same.
- 23:27Speaker 2: The exact same as Biodome. That is so silly.
- 23:32Speaker 3: Then diagrams of those movies are probably pretty close to
- 23:35Speaker 3: one circle. I would say that's upsetting to me.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Except for Rob I vehemently disagree.
- 23:43Speaker 3: I'm with which part you think eighteen is too low?
- 23:46Speaker 2: I think both of them are too low.
- 23:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree, that's fun. Well, let's get in to
- 23:51Speaker 3: hear what we think. It's time for our hot tache
- 23:53Speaker 3: hot take.
- 23:55Speaker 2: Oh, I burned myself.
- 23:57Speaker 3: That's a hot take.
- 23:59Speaker 2: That's at all?
- 24:00Speaker 3: Right, that's great, that was great. Yes, I have permission.
- 24:06Speaker 6: You guys are uh, we're cut it.
- 24:15Speaker 3: I can go first. This is a movie I've only
- 24:18Speaker 3: seen like once or twice. I think this was not
- 24:20Speaker 3: a regular rotation for me somehow, which is strange. So
- 24:25Speaker 3: we might have you know, similar we're flipping spots round
- 24:30Speaker 3: from Biotome to this, but I like it more than
- 24:34Speaker 3: you liked Biodome. I think it's super super fun. It
- 24:37Speaker 3: is obviously a ridiculous premise and not great. We shouldn't
- 24:43Speaker 3: be kidnapping people. I think we can't. Well, I don't
- 24:45Speaker 3: even know if I think we can all agree anymore.
- 24:47Speaker 3: But here we are really fun. Though a lot of
- 24:53Speaker 3: great heart in this movie. I will say, like, don't
- 24:59Speaker 3: be in a relation chip where you hate each other.
- 25:02Speaker 3: It's like the main thing I got out of this
- 25:04Speaker 3: movie made me sad, but it's just super zany, super fun.
- 25:08Speaker 3: There's tons of lines probably from you guys that I
- 25:11Speaker 3: know very well from this movie that I have said
- 25:15Speaker 3: for a long time. Uh, and I really had a
- 25:18Speaker 3: great time rewatching it. I thought it was a ton
- 25:20Speaker 3: of fun despite it being real silly. Could be in
- 25:23Speaker 3: a draft for like the most fun credits that happened,
- 25:26Speaker 3: because there's a lot of fun.
- 25:27Speaker 2: That is a good credits credits. Yes, I didn't think
- 25:30Speaker 2: of that.
- 25:30Speaker 3: When we were asking about it, but that's okay. And
- 25:34Speaker 3: I think perhaps my hottest take though, is Diamonds in
- 25:39Speaker 3: the Rough is a great cover band.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Namely, yes, it's really good, really good.
- 25:48Speaker 3: As someone who's had to come up with a number
- 25:49Speaker 3: of names for groups, well you know that, keep going
- 25:52Speaker 3: to funk a couple of acapella guys over here though
- 25:56Speaker 3: the world of pun names, that's right, dang, But man,
- 26:01Speaker 3: Diamonds in the Rough that it's really good. It's really good.
- 26:05Speaker 3: That's my hottest teak.
- 26:06Speaker 2: It was fun.
- 26:07Speaker 4: Hot take, buddy, I'm sweating. Yeah, this is one I
- 26:13Speaker 4: watched a lot. I think we had it on a
- 26:15Speaker 4: ton during our first few years.
- 26:17Speaker 2: It was on repeat. It was just it lived in
- 26:20Speaker 2: the DVD player. I suppose this came out when you
- 26:22Speaker 2: were like freshman, right, it came out, we came out. No,
- 26:24Speaker 2: it came out in our senior year of high school.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that makes so much sense then, so like I
- 26:30Speaker 3: just missed that maybe or something interesting fun. But yeah.
- 26:33Speaker 4: It's directed by Dennis Dugan, who's directed such movies as Problem.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Child, Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, and just a bunch of
- 26:43Speaker 2: the Adam Sandler comedies.
- 26:45Speaker 3: Love this guy, Yeah that guy.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Yeah he was even he had a cameo, he was
- 26:52Speaker 2: the football game. Yeah the ref Yeah deserved Sure didn't
- 27:00Speaker 2: spik fans wanted to do that a few times. And yeah,
- 27:06Speaker 2: but yeah, this movie is pretty ridiculous.
- 27:07Speaker 4: It's it's all over the place with tone, and some
- 27:11Speaker 4: of the backstory stuff is like over the top and crazy,
- 27:14Speaker 4: like Sandy's family was a bunch of circus performers, super random,
- 27:19Speaker 4: kind of dumb. But there are just so many funny
- 27:22Speaker 4: bits and hilarious lines that make up for that kind
- 27:25Speaker 4: of stuff. For me, Jack Black and Steve's on are hilarious.
- 27:29Speaker 4: They're so funny, they're so funny. A big, big fan
- 27:32Speaker 4: of those two, and I had a pretty big crush
- 27:35Speaker 4: on Amanda Peet between this and the whole nine Yards
- 27:38Speaker 4: from the year previous.
- 27:41Speaker 2: Loved her so much.
- 27:44Speaker 3: We've been in the same room with her, Rob, Do
- 27:46Speaker 3: you remember that? When was I? When was that?
- 27:52Speaker 2: Yes? I was with you? Yes, and it was I
- 27:57Speaker 2: was with you guys.
- 27:58Speaker 3: That's right. Cooper too, Cooper and Amanda p Yeah. Yeah,
- 28:03Speaker 3: what's in retrospect? Amazing less that night?
- 28:07Speaker 2: Yeah, that was fun right after I don't know, it
- 28:12Speaker 2: must have been or something, uh, the first hangover, I
- 28:16Speaker 2: would assume, Yeah, I don't remember what else what he
- 28:20Speaker 2: was doing. But I also quote this one a ton.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Almost nobody knows the reference whenever I I quote this movie.
- 28:31Speaker 2: But yeah, just such a silly good time makes me
- 28:33Speaker 2: laugh out loud. My hot take.
- 28:36Speaker 4: This film has made me do the bit anytime I
- 28:39Speaker 4: come in contact with the walkie talkie. Yeah, and the
- 28:43Speaker 4: Home Free crew is pretty.
- 28:45Speaker 2: Sick of it. Sure, that's right because they use they
- 28:50Speaker 2: use them all the time. And I really anytime I
- 28:53Speaker 2: buy one, I do that. That's so great, they're over it.
- 28:57Speaker 2: I support it, man, someone who only has like four jokes.
- 29:00Speaker 2: I'm I'm with.
- 29:02Speaker 3: What I had for.
- 29:05Speaker 2: Thank you. I'll go next, go next. Yeah, me and Robbie,
- 29:12Speaker 2: like you said, this was this lived in the DVD
- 29:15Speaker 2: player in college. I mean this and Blues Brothers and
- 29:21Speaker 2: I don't know Animal House and there were you know,
- 29:25Speaker 2: I say, at that time, big o'bowski for all you
- 29:28Speaker 2: kids out there. You know, we didn't have streaming, you know,
- 29:30Speaker 2: we just had whatever DVDs were in the house. We
- 29:34Speaker 2: watched this forever, and like Robbie, I h this might
- 29:41Speaker 2: be my most quotable movie ever, like more than Lebowski,
- 29:46Speaker 2: more than Anchorman, which sounds crazy, but when I watched
- 29:50Speaker 2: this movie, every scene I'm like, God, I have said that.
- 29:53Speaker 2: I still say them forever. When we get to the
- 29:56Speaker 2: quotes part of this, there's not enough time. It's gonna
- 29:59Speaker 2: go literally the entire script. I it's wild. Shout out
- 30:05Speaker 2: to Taylor Hayes. We probably should have had him on
- 30:07Speaker 2: this because me and Taylor, me and him still still
- 30:11Speaker 2: say this all the time. And so me and Gate here,
- 30:13Speaker 2: well we'll talk more about it in quotes. But yeah,
- 30:16Speaker 2: I think this is a really underrated movie from that
- 30:20Speaker 2: time period. And I feel like this was my because
- 30:22Speaker 2: I saw this before whole nine yards I think. Okay,
- 30:26Speaker 2: so I feel like this was kind of my first
- 30:28Speaker 2: Amanda Pete and kind of my first Steve Zon and
- 30:33Speaker 2: kind of Jack Black. Sure, like none of them were
- 30:37Speaker 2: really well known, no, I mean Jack Black had only
- 30:41Speaker 2: done kind of supporting stuff. This was after High Fidelity, yeah,
- 30:45Speaker 2: and High Fidelity was like my favorite.
- 30:47Speaker 3: So I know that.
- 30:49Speaker 2: But Steve z On too, I mean, like I this
- 30:51Speaker 2: was after that thing you do. But he's not even
- 30:56Speaker 2: hitting it and he's he's.
- 30:57Speaker 5: An out of sight, which is oh yeah. But like
- 30:59Speaker 5: I don't remember when I saw that.
- 31:01Speaker 2: This was my first, Like this guy's funny, and him
- 31:06Speaker 2: and Jack Black together for years, I was like, Ken,
- 31:10Speaker 2: can these dudes just do another movie together? Seriously, they're
- 31:13Speaker 2: so great together. It's such a good combo. I've loved
- 31:17Speaker 2: this movie forever. My hot take is, I feel like
- 31:21Speaker 2: this is sort of the last vestige of nineties comedy movies. Sure,
- 31:27Speaker 2: even though it's not nineties, but it feels very nineties. Yeah.
- 31:31Speaker 2: It's right before you know, it's a few years before
- 31:34Speaker 2: the Apatow World starts, and I feel like this was
- 31:41Speaker 2: just how we did. We did comedies like this back then,
- 31:45Speaker 2: American Pies and Dumb and Dumber and things like that.
- 31:50Speaker 2: It's very fairly Brothers to me, sure, Like if this
- 31:54Speaker 2: movie was set in Rhode Island, yeah, and you told
- 31:58Speaker 2: me it was a fairly Brothers movie, I'd be like, yeah,
- 32:00Speaker 2: because you know, it like teeters On absurd to your
- 32:04Speaker 2: point earlier, the circus stuff, the butt implants, but just enough,
- 32:10Speaker 2: just enough that it's it gets silly, but it never
- 32:14Speaker 2: goes like full one hundred absurd. I feel like it's
- 32:19Speaker 2: a nice tight rope walk of of like you said,
- 32:23Speaker 2: the tone kind of changes, but I don't know. I
- 32:27Speaker 2: just it's a very ninetiesy movie to me, and I
- 32:29Speaker 2: feel like we don't make movies like this anymore, and
- 32:32Speaker 2: if we did, it would be like Kevin Hart or
- 32:34Speaker 2: it would be a big star like a star, yeah,
- 32:39Speaker 2: or like a comedian who This was like just really
- 32:43Speaker 2: good actors executing very well. Like and again, Biggs was
- 32:48Speaker 2: probably the biggest star because of American Pie, which is
- 32:52Speaker 2: crazy to think of. And it's really like he's I
- 32:56Speaker 2: don't even know if he's the star. You know, it's
- 32:59Speaker 2: so I don't know. It's just very nostalgic for me
- 33:02Speaker 2: because we watched it so much and I feel like
- 33:05Speaker 2: it's it's just of that era and it is just wonderful.
- 33:10Speaker 6: I love it hot take, So my hot take is
- 33:15Speaker 6: actually in a different category, so I'm just gonna skip
- 33:19Speaker 6: it for now, so I'll just go quick and grip.
- 33:24Speaker 3: I like it.
- 33:25Speaker 2: That's why we call him renegade, saying.
- 33:32Speaker 6: I'm a few years younger than you, so I think
- 33:34Speaker 6: I was in tenth or eleventh grade. So, but I
- 33:36Speaker 6: remember this being a thing in high school, like still
- 33:41Speaker 6: out of air high school. I just remember kids are
- 33:47Speaker 6: talking about this and they're quoting it. And there's the
- 33:50Speaker 6: thing I always like remember, is we at the end
- 33:53Speaker 6: of the year, we'd have a survey kind of like
- 33:56Speaker 6: a pop culture thing, and it was the best saw,
- 34:00Speaker 6: best movie, and there was the best there was a
- 34:03Speaker 6: best like actor in a movie and I don't remember
- 34:06Speaker 6: what anyone else, but you know it was Brad Pitt,
- 34:09Speaker 6: George Klobo and it was just the raccoon and saving Silverman.
- 34:14Speaker 2: That's amazing, that's wonderful. I would imagine one. I would
- 34:19Speaker 2: imagine it was some genius submitted that.
- 34:24Speaker 6: But no, like this was a huge part of I
- 34:28Speaker 6: mean we were the like that's the perfect age, like
- 34:30Speaker 6: sixteen seventeen years old to see this movie, like just
- 34:34Speaker 6: quoting it to your friends the hallway, and like I said,
- 34:37Speaker 6: we still quote it.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Yeah, oh yeah time, I don't know.
- 34:41Speaker 6: I guess, dum dum. We're just doing a business. Yeah,
- 34:48Speaker 6: we were like, it's like I guess, like I guess,
- 34:52Speaker 6: we won't do this job was thrown away, like we
- 34:57Speaker 6: use that all the time.
- 34:58Speaker 2: That's us. It's the lug nut. Fixed it fixed.
- 35:02Speaker 4: It's going to do a lot of games together.
- 35:08Speaker 2: The quotes is going to take us two hours, so
- 35:10Speaker 2: it's gonna be like again, we should just read the script.
- 35:14Speaker 2: But yeah, that's it for now to love it. Love it?
- 35:18Speaker 4: Well, then why don't we start talking about our favorite
- 35:20Speaker 4: acting performances, and let's choose the dude the dude.
- 35:25Speaker 7: I'm the dude, so that's what you call me, you
- 35:28Speaker 7: know that, or his dude or duder or you know
- 35:34Speaker 7: eldudo reno if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
- 35:37Speaker 2: This is my hot takes.
- 35:40Speaker 3: It all right?
- 35:41Speaker 5: All right.
- 35:41Speaker 6: So when you guys texted us this, I kind of
- 35:44Speaker 6: thought this was going to be our audition, our test
- 35:48Speaker 6: to see if we could pull off the.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Three amigos with you guys. Interesting three we have three.
- 35:56Speaker 6: Leads of equal importance. Now I'm not saying that they're
- 36:01Speaker 6: on the same level, right, And there's clearly a weak
- 36:04Speaker 6: link in this film. Yes, but three amigos I think
- 36:08Speaker 6: might have one of the best cases for the dude debate.
- 36:13Speaker 2: Who could should be the dude? Blah blah blah. If
- 36:18Speaker 2: we get that pod, we'll talk about that. We'll talk
- 36:20Speaker 2: about we'll talk about it. Well, we'll talk to Bob.
- 36:23Speaker 6: But for this movie, my dude is one chick, Amanda Pete,
- 36:30Speaker 6: nice loving.
- 36:33Speaker 2: I think she's incredible in this.
- 36:35Speaker 6: She is she is funny, she's bitchy, she is mean,
- 36:40Speaker 6: she's intelligent, she's ruthless, and I just every scene she
- 36:45Speaker 6: had is in it's just incredible.
- 36:48Speaker 5: Like, I honestly don't know who else could pull it
- 36:50Speaker 5: off like this.
- 36:51Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a really good point.
- 36:53Speaker 3: She's so good.
- 36:54Speaker 2: She is like a dynamite villain. It's pretty unbelievable she is.
- 36:57Speaker 3: And she's like so beautiful that you can believe she's evil,
- 37:01Speaker 3: you know, like all the things work with it for sure,
- 37:05Speaker 3: and she's right for the most part too, Like they
- 37:08Speaker 3: are idiots and suck.
- 37:12Speaker 2: Wow. That's great.
- 37:16Speaker 3: That is the hottest of takes. I love it.
- 37:18Speaker 2: That's a great hot take. Wow, Okay, great dude. Should
- 37:22Speaker 2: I go?
- 37:23Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 37:24Speaker 2: All right, I'm I'm going with uh, mister Steve Zon.
- 37:31Speaker 2: Uh Minnesota boy, you know Minnesota man? What a where's
- 37:37Speaker 2: he from?
- 37:38Speaker 4: He's from well, you know he he I guess he
- 37:41Speaker 4: kind of grew up in Mankato, but he went, he
- 37:43Speaker 4: came up, he went to Cooper.
- 37:49Speaker 2: Is that a New Hope? I thought it was in Uh? Uh?
- 37:53Speaker 3: Is it? Is it?
- 37:54Speaker 2: Crystal? I think it's kind of New Hope. Robbinsale, that's right?
- 37:57Speaker 2: What's what is it where you're looking at? I'm not okay?
- 38:02Speaker 2: Oh yeah, posted go there. I thought it was somewhere else. Nevermind,
- 38:06Speaker 2: I think Steve Zon is kind of the I mean,
- 38:09Speaker 2: I completely agree this is it's an ensemble movie. I
- 38:13Speaker 2: think Steve Zon's kind of the low key lead of
- 38:15Speaker 2: this movie, even though it feels like it should be
- 38:19Speaker 2: Jason Biggs because he's the quote unquote title character. But
- 38:24Speaker 2: I just feel like Steve Zon is sort of leading
- 38:27Speaker 2: the well, it's from his point of view to start with. Yeah,
- 38:30Speaker 2: he narrates it. And I also just I think he's
- 38:35Speaker 2: sort of the drug. He's every movie, you know, movie
- 38:40Speaker 2: comedies need like a person who's sort of conducting the
- 38:43Speaker 2: comedy who's kind of a straight man, And clearly Bigs
- 38:46Speaker 2: is the straight man. But Steve Zon like really is
- 38:49Speaker 2: orchestrating like the comedy while being also ridiculous himself. Sure,
- 38:56Speaker 2: And I just I think every single thing he does
- 39:00Speaker 2: is unbelievably funny and every line reading is unbelievable. Yes,
- 39:06Speaker 2: Like he really blew my mind, Like when I first
- 39:09Speaker 2: saw this, he really blew my mind. I mean Jack
- 39:11Speaker 2: Black also, Yeah, and look, Biggs is doing his than
- 39:15Speaker 2: he's great at it, you know, But I just feel
- 39:19Speaker 2: like Steve's on is kind of the He's the driving
- 39:22Speaker 2: force for the plot of what they do. And I
- 39:28Speaker 2: don't know, I just think he's kind of the low
- 39:30Speaker 2: key lead. And I I've always thought it's one of
- 39:32Speaker 2: the best performances ever and it made me. It made
- 39:35Speaker 2: me a Steveson fan instantly. When I saw this movie, it.
- 39:39Speaker 4: Felt like he improved a lot of it, and it
- 39:41Speaker 4: felt like he was just having so much fun and
- 39:45Speaker 4: trying to make the other guys break.
- 39:47Speaker 2: It felt like, yeah, they all, I mean him and
- 39:50Speaker 2: Jack Black. I don't know how they did anything together.
- 39:53Speaker 2: But I also think they're both so talented that and
- 39:56Speaker 2: we'll talk about it at some point, but there's there's
- 39:58Speaker 2: numerous times in this movie where someone is about to
- 40:01Speaker 2: break sure.
- 40:02Speaker 4: I think, oh, absolutely, dude, when he is leaving Amanda
- 40:06Speaker 4: Pete's office and then he just messes with her.
- 40:09Speaker 2: I literally just brought this up with Gate. I have
- 40:11Speaker 2: stolen this acting move when you're really mad and you
- 40:15Speaker 2: want to do something, but you don't really want to
- 40:17Speaker 2: do anything, so you kind of it's like one of
- 40:20Speaker 2: my I've used it so many times. Yeah, it's so good.
- 40:25Speaker 2: I talk about this in acting all the time. I've
- 40:27Speaker 2: talked about it on this pod everything I ever do.
- 40:31Speaker 2: If someone was like, that's really funny, I'd be like, yeah,
- 40:33Speaker 2: it's probably it's from this. I've stolen any every bit
- 40:37Speaker 2: I ever have, and a lot of them are from
- 40:41Speaker 2: Steveson in this movie. Yeah, I get it. So he
- 40:44Speaker 2: just blows my mind. Still.
- 40:47Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a great that's a great pick, dude. I'm
- 40:51Speaker 4: going to pick somebody else. I'm picking Jack Black.
- 40:57Speaker 2: His delivery is hilarious. He can take any line and
- 41:00Speaker 2: make it funny.
- 41:03Speaker 4: I love that after talking with Judith for a few minutes,
- 41:06Speaker 4: he realizes he's gay.
- 41:08Speaker 2: I love that plotline so much. It's really great.
- 41:13Speaker 4: And when she's like, well whatever, we'll get into all
- 41:16Speaker 4: that with quotes. But yes, if Jack Black is in
- 41:19Speaker 4: a movie, I'm going to pick him as my dude
- 41:21Speaker 4: almost always.
- 41:22Speaker 2: I just kind of amazing though, that we all have.
- 41:25Speaker 2: We had three different ones already. I don't know, abusing
- 41:28Speaker 2: to but justifiable good. Absolutely, Yeah, it's pretty rare when
- 41:33Speaker 2: we do. Yeah, I feel like it's always the same person.
- 41:36Speaker 2: So that's that is fun.
- 41:38Speaker 3: What do you got, Bukes, I'm kind of with you
- 41:41Speaker 3: Jack Black. If he's in a movie, I'm picking him,
- 41:43Speaker 3: you know, I just love him so much. Also, like
- 41:48Speaker 3: kind of sneaky, a pretty progressive take on your friend
- 41:52Speaker 3: coming out as gay, because like they're.
- 41:54Speaker 2: All just like two thousand and one, I was totally
- 41:56Speaker 2: going to bring that up. It's kind of like strangely
- 41:59Speaker 2: eate just pretty well for that time period of them
- 42:03Speaker 2: doing it.
- 42:04Speaker 3: Because other movies don't do this.
- 42:06Speaker 2: All we talk about all the time, like like friends
- 42:08Speaker 2: and every you know, everything was gay jokes. And he
- 42:11Speaker 2: was like, h yeah, some kind of and he what
- 42:14Speaker 2: he says, He's like, he's like I don't care. He's like,
- 42:16Speaker 2: I don't care if you're gay, Like his head, you're
- 42:22Speaker 2: going to be gay. Fine, but you're right, they don't.
- 42:25Speaker 2: They don't really comment on it as being bad at all.
- 42:28Speaker 3: Yeah, and they kind of just don't even linger on it, honestly,
- 42:31Speaker 3: Like it's like the one joke at the end when
- 42:33Speaker 3: he's with coach or whatever.
- 42:35Speaker 2: But I'm so glad you brought that up because I
- 42:36Speaker 2: had written down.
- 42:38Speaker 3: But Jack Byke, I just I'm with you, Rob Black
- 42:41Speaker 3: and all of you. I'm sure he's just so funny,
- 42:43Speaker 3: Like everything he does is so funny. I just love
- 42:47Speaker 3: him so much. I just think he's so much.
- 42:49Speaker 2: Well, we talked about high fidelity. I mean, it was
- 42:53Speaker 2: clear he was gonna be a star. I mean, you know,
- 42:59Speaker 2: and we didn't Farley was gone. We didn't have anyone
- 43:02Speaker 2: that one before this, he said, I think so, yeah,
- 43:07Speaker 2: I think fidelity is like ninety eight right, double check.
- 43:10Speaker 2: But no, it's fine. I'm just curious that two thousand,
- 43:13Speaker 2: oh yeah, the year before, and then School of Rocks like,
- 43:17Speaker 2: oh three, right, it's like pretty much read after this,
- 43:22Speaker 2: well yeah, three, you're right, but yeah, he really he
- 43:26Speaker 2: like there was a void there. I feel like after Farley,
- 43:30Speaker 2: like we didn't you know, one School of rockets I mean.
- 43:33Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, he's so good. But I love all
- 43:39Speaker 3: those other people.
- 43:39Speaker 6: He said too, it's weird to you had a little
- 43:41Speaker 6: beardless Jack Black too though, kind.
- 43:44Speaker 2: Of fun, kind of fun. He was kind of beardless
- 43:47Speaker 2: for most of his kind of first part of his career,
- 43:50Speaker 2: wasn't he Yeah, shallow? Hell was beardless? I remember about
- 43:54Speaker 2: not aging great? Yeah, that one.
- 43:56Speaker 3: It's tough. That's a tough watch, even though I guess
- 43:59Speaker 3: ten the message, you know, is it's correct.
- 44:04Speaker 2: I mean he's called shallow, how I mean you.
- 44:08Speaker 3: Know, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's true.
- 44:11Speaker 2: To go, uh well, why don't we talk about well
- 44:14Speaker 2: more people in this movie. We've talked about a lot
- 44:17Speaker 2: of people. But let's shot pick the Tucci a ward. Alright, guys,
- 44:25Speaker 2: let's do the same order.
- 44:26Speaker 6: Obviously this, if I didn't take Amanda in the first
- 44:29Speaker 6: that it would have been Steve's on. So I gotta
- 44:31Speaker 6: give him a shout because, like Betty you're saying, I
- 44:34Speaker 6: just like.
- 44:36Speaker 1: It.
- 44:36Speaker 6: Just keep your eyes on him when you're watching this.
- 44:40Speaker 6: It just look at his face, his face as as
- 44:43Speaker 6: other people are talking. Like every every second he's on screen,
- 44:47Speaker 6: there's something that's funny going on.
- 44:51Speaker 5: But it's just so it's so dumb, but it's just
- 44:53Speaker 5: so genius. Like everything he does.
- 44:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I love it.
- 44:59Speaker 2: But if I did have to a true touch, it's
- 45:02Speaker 2: uh ar Lee.
- 45:05Speaker 3: Yeah absolutely, I mean.
- 45:08Speaker 5: It's the definition of the like he is that just
- 45:12Speaker 5: coming in every.
- 45:13Speaker 2: Singe, just coming in hot, crushes incredible clothes. Yeah yeah,
- 45:21Speaker 2: I mean, I'll just I'll just go because it mind's
- 45:23Speaker 2: also arlee. I mean, not to step on the trivia
- 45:28Speaker 2: touchdown calls. But apparently, uh the director wanted him to
- 45:32Speaker 2: be uh Chubbs. Yeah that's crazy, which I think, oh yeah,
- 45:39Speaker 2: that would have been fun. But Sandler really wanted Carl
- 45:43Speaker 2: Weathers obviously, which totally work. But then he I guess
- 45:49Speaker 2: he promised him a roll later later on. But he's perfect. Also,
- 45:53Speaker 2: like shout out to him for just being like, yeah,
- 45:56Speaker 2: I'll do the gay thing too, I don't care totally.
- 46:00Speaker 2: I mean pretty great. That's awesome.
- 46:02Speaker 6: I mean for doing any of this characters. Character is
- 46:05Speaker 6: justics boy. He comes in hot, and he stays.
- 46:09Speaker 3: Hot, and he leaves hot.
- 46:11Speaker 2: Holy crap, he does. I can't I can't imagine someone
- 46:17Speaker 2: else rocking it like you did. I don't know. It's
- 46:20Speaker 2: such a great choice. It's perfectly. And again we'll we'll
- 46:24Speaker 2: talk about quotes later because pretty much everything that comes
- 46:27Speaker 2: out of his mouth is unbelievable.
- 46:31Speaker 3: Good.
- 46:31Speaker 2: Yeah, that's great, that's good.
- 46:34Speaker 4: I would have went Steve's on, then Amanda Pete, then
- 46:37Speaker 4: Arleie Ermie, just for fun. It was really fun seeing
- 46:41Speaker 4: Kyle Gas show up and to just have his little
- 46:46Speaker 4: moment trying to hit on Amanda Pete.
- 46:50Speaker 3: That was fun.
- 46:52Speaker 2: And who would try You know, I didn't know who
- 46:54Speaker 2: he was. I didn't I didn't know about them at
- 46:57Speaker 2: that tenacious d.
- 46:59Speaker 3: Yeah, it's probably the same for me, dude.
- 47:01Speaker 4: We just found out that they were in Biodome for
- 47:05Speaker 4: a hot second. They Yeah, they sing a song in
- 47:10Speaker 4: Biodome and it.
- 47:11Speaker 2: Blew my mind. First you just hear Jack Black and god,
- 47:15Speaker 2: that sounds like Jack Black.
- 47:16Speaker 4: And then they actually show the two of them performing
- 47:19Speaker 4: and it's like Zach before they go in the dome.
- 47:23Speaker 3: Yeah, when they're at the college, the gals go to
- 47:27Speaker 3: that party at the college.
- 47:29Speaker 2: Yes, save the World.
- 47:31Speaker 5: Yes, Okay, I need to rewatch Biodome.
- 47:36Speaker 2: Apparently I don't need to need to need.
- 47:43Speaker 3: Their film historians, Rob they have to cog in the wheel,
- 47:47Speaker 3: sure is, sure is, But I probably would have gone
- 47:53Speaker 3: with Amanda Pete here. I loved her so much. I
- 47:55Speaker 3: totally am with you, gad like, she's so good in
- 47:59Speaker 3: this role and like equal parts crazy but also like
- 48:04Speaker 3: makes sense but is mean and is also you know,
- 48:08Speaker 3: like I don't know, she tells that line really really well.
- 48:11Speaker 3: But to say someone else, I liked Amanda Deptmur in this.
- 48:15Speaker 3: She didn't get a lot to do. She just was
- 48:17Speaker 3: kind of the like, oh, you're perfect, but the her
- 48:20Speaker 3: is like trying to be a nun is pretty funny
- 48:23Speaker 3: and and all that. And she she did a good job.
- 48:26Speaker 3: She seemed sweet and fun and nice to him for once,
- 48:29Speaker 3: which was cool. So yeah, I'll pick her. I thought
- 48:32Speaker 3: she was good.
- 48:33Speaker 2: And look again, no hate on Jason Biggs really doing
- 48:36Speaker 2: the job. Yeah, you know, he had his thing that
- 48:40Speaker 2: he did and he's he's doing his.
- 48:41Speaker 6: Look was my allude to the weak link. But it's
- 48:44Speaker 6: not his fault. It's like it's more the character, like, yeah,
- 48:48Speaker 6: it's just kind of a.
- 48:50Speaker 3: But he is.
- 48:51Speaker 2: He is very good at being like I'm bumbling. Oh
- 48:54Speaker 2: he's like yeah, just kind of whiny and submissive. Yeah
- 49:01Speaker 2: real beta yep mm hmmm. I've been dump for that before. Sure,
- 49:09Speaker 2: I understand. Yeah, good stuff. Everyone's great. That's really everyone
- 49:17Speaker 2: in this. It is so we got Neil Diamond too.
- 49:21Speaker 4: Neil Diamond good cameo pretty great, and he just pretty
- 49:26Speaker 4: much spoke in his song titles, which is a funny bit,
- 49:30Speaker 4: you know, like that.
- 49:31Speaker 6: Yeah, it's kind of funny thing that there's only like
- 49:33Speaker 6: really like six characters in this.
- 49:36Speaker 2: There's very few, even like side characters. Those nuns were cute.
- 49:42Speaker 2: That little old lady she was fun. Yeah, yeah, they
- 49:46Speaker 2: had a great line when she left. But Neil Diamond, yeah,
- 49:50Speaker 2: well not again, not to step on trivia, but it
- 49:53Speaker 2: was supposed to be Paul Simon, Yeah, that's pretty crazy.
- 49:56Speaker 2: And I was staying to gay the other I was like,
- 49:59Speaker 2: I feel like Neil Diamond just sort of inherently funnier
- 50:01Speaker 2: for some reason, I.
- 50:03Speaker 3: Do, because it's also weirder that they're so into him.
- 50:06Speaker 2: Yeahhow like I don't know, like, yeah, I just think
- 50:10Speaker 2: it's deal Diamond's more of just a character maybe that. Yeah,
- 50:13Speaker 2: Like Paul Paul Simon just doesn't seem as funny to me, like.
- 50:17Speaker 3: A little more serious probably, Paul Simon, it's fun with
- 50:20Speaker 3: the hair and yeah, yeah, like you needed someone that
- 50:24Speaker 3: they could especially with the cover band.
- 50:26Speaker 2: Like what you would have done for Paul Simon. Yeah, yeah,
- 50:31Speaker 2: you can call me out, but I'm saying, like the
- 50:33Speaker 2: dress and the Neil is just a very specific oh yeah,
- 50:39Speaker 2: like Paul Simon was a very like understated guy. I
- 50:42Speaker 2: don't know, he's like easier to yeah to answer, like,
- 50:45Speaker 2: Neil is just a funnier choice is I like it
- 50:49Speaker 2: for sure, And the band name wouldn't have been as
- 50:51Speaker 2: good probably, no man Simon.
- 50:55Speaker 3: Simon says also when he was saying the like band
- 50:59Speaker 3: or his song type, you know, like that whole bit,
- 51:01Speaker 3: it reminded me of the other guys just keep saying.
- 51:08Speaker 2: Yes, diamond diamonds souls, oh yeah, but like yeah, shoes,
- 51:18Speaker 2: that's good. I don't know like that, but it was good.
- 51:21Speaker 2: Diamonds in the roughs.
- 51:22Speaker 3: About Diamonds in the rough that is such a good name.
- 51:24Speaker 3: I wanted diamond.
- 51:26Speaker 2: Comedy, Yeah, I was worth it. Comedy.
- 51:28Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 51:30Speaker 4: I say that going out on stage most nights, and
- 51:34Speaker 4: I don't think my my bandmates know what's from.
- 51:36Speaker 2: No one knows what you're saying. Do you got it?
- 51:39Speaker 6: Do you you got any any bits that land with
- 51:42Speaker 6: the old band or crew or really I'm referencing this movie.
- 51:47Speaker 2: Well, yeah, very cute, but I guess I did dump
- 51:53Speaker 2: them or break I guess.
- 51:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 51:57Speaker 2: I love that scene. Speaking of scenes, are you a
- 52:06Speaker 2: professional potter? What a what a transition? Wasn't that good?
- 52:12Speaker 2: Let's pick our favorite scene, and let's choose the dingas
- 52:16Speaker 2: So dinkas is quite simple, really, dingus us.
- 52:20Speaker 3: I can talk about my dingas all night long. You
- 52:23Speaker 3: guys want to go.
- 52:24Speaker 2: First, I can go, uh I. I My first thought
- 52:31Speaker 2: was the kidnapping scene, because I'm so great, But I
- 52:35Speaker 2: actually settled on. I settled on Judith's first meeting with
- 52:40Speaker 2: the guys, exact same, because I I think if you
- 52:46Speaker 2: just took that, I feel like it could just be
- 52:48Speaker 2: a short film scene. Yeah, oh god yeah, because I
- 52:52Speaker 2: I think if you if someone had never seen this
- 52:56Speaker 2: movie and you literally started when they're in the car
- 52:59Speaker 2: and until they're back in the car, you basically get
- 53:03Speaker 2: all the information of this movie. You get that they're
- 53:06Speaker 2: a new couple. You get that these are his best friends.
- 53:09Speaker 2: You meet them, you get everyone's sort of personality going,
- 53:14Speaker 2: including hers and theirs. You get the Neil Hall, the
- 53:17Speaker 2: Hall of Neil. You get some fun physical comedy, great lines.
- 53:22Speaker 2: She's pissed they're out and she doesn't want them to
- 53:24Speaker 2: see them anymore, which basically is the premise and the
- 53:28Speaker 2: whole movie. It's like you could kind of just show
- 53:31Speaker 2: that scene to someone and be like, this is the movie. Yeah, brilliant,
- 53:35Speaker 2: you know, with a bunch more like this happening and
- 53:38Speaker 2: so many good lines, and it's literally start to finish
- 53:42Speaker 2: unbelievable lines, so that we will talk about in our
- 53:45Speaker 2: two hour quote session when we read the script aloud
- 53:50Speaker 2: for all your listeners.
- 53:52Speaker 3: It's also the worst case scenario anytime you're going to
- 53:55Speaker 3: introduce someone to your friends.
- 53:58Speaker 2: What a great premio, Yeah, great storytelling premise anyway, that's
- 54:01Speaker 2: just always going to be interesting.
- 54:03Speaker 3: So perfect. I have been that friend a number of times. Sorry, guys, I.
- 54:08Speaker 2: Would never bring my girls.
- 54:10Speaker 5: You might have brought Stephanie here for the first time
- 54:12Speaker 5: for a Vikings game.
- 54:14Speaker 2: I did. I definitely did.
- 54:17Speaker 6: I don't know if it's on my first better, but
- 54:19Speaker 6: there's definitely been some significant others have come through on
- 54:22Speaker 6: football Sundays.
- 54:23Speaker 2: Here beer bong for the lady as Benny smashes his glasses.
- 54:33Speaker 2: Is the Vikings lose? So yeah, that's mine. That's a
- 54:39Speaker 2: great mine is the photo shop scene.
- 54:45Speaker 5: Starting great starting with starting with them.
- 54:48Speaker 6: Picking up the hookers, Hello ladies, and then they do
- 54:53Speaker 6: the whole montage and they're doing it, and then it
- 54:55Speaker 6: goes into our one of the best quotes.
- 54:58Speaker 2: I don't know, I guess, I guess it's I guess
- 55:00Speaker 2: it's two things. It's the oh he's cheating on you
- 55:04Speaker 2: with too chested. I don't know. I guess I'd dumble them.
- 55:11Speaker 6: And then we were talking about earlier once a mile
- 55:13Speaker 6: of a man of pizza, much as she just ended
- 55:16Speaker 6: with if you, if you guys ever going near dar
- 55:18Speaker 6: and again, I'll kill you.
- 55:21Speaker 2: You believe her. She's so good, she's just so ruthless.
- 55:26Speaker 2: Also just tearing his sleeve. Yeah, oh god, I.
- 55:34Speaker 5: Want to get those photoshop photos.
- 55:36Speaker 3: Just yes, that's so fun. They're just the perfect level
- 55:40Speaker 3: of two kind of good but not really you're like
- 55:45Speaker 3: surprised they can pull it off. But also it's clearly
- 55:48Speaker 3: not true. I'm gonna kill you. That's a great pick.
- 55:54Speaker 4: I like that, Like, yeah, I went kind of how
- 56:00Speaker 4: Benny decided his I originally had kidnapping Judith, and then
- 56:03Speaker 4: I went with, uh when Judith meets them. But let's
- 56:07Speaker 4: talk about kidnapping Judith. We got the infamous walkie talking bit,
- 56:14Speaker 4: which I've loved forever.
- 56:16Speaker 6: In face paint, his full face paint with the with
- 56:21Speaker 6: the pantyhose combo.
- 56:23Speaker 2: Yeah, like the beautiful like not one. He's got the
- 56:29Speaker 2: whole set with two the legs coming off.
- 56:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 56:36Speaker 2: Just seeing her just kick their asses is so funny.
- 56:40Speaker 4: She's drowning him in the toilet and then she gets
- 56:43Speaker 4: cattle prodded, which like electrocutes him, and the getting the
- 56:49Speaker 4: view the toilet views.
- 56:53Speaker 3: It's a great shot for sure.
- 56:54Speaker 2: You know, we build sets and stuff and I always
- 56:56Speaker 2: think about them shooting that, you know, like they probably
- 57:01Speaker 2: they probably just they made some circle thing and had
- 57:03Speaker 2: plexiglass under it and mounted the cat. Just think of
- 57:05Speaker 2: them like rigging that to shoot. It's so funny to
- 57:08Speaker 2: think about. They do a lot of fun effects and
- 57:11Speaker 2: stunts in this movie. Yeah, for sure, they really. We
- 57:15Speaker 2: can talk about it later, but they really go for
- 57:18Speaker 2: it a lot. Also, Steve's on in this scene with
- 57:22Speaker 2: I love the Random. It's kind of like Garth with
- 57:26Speaker 2: the electro the Random. I just have all this crazy
- 57:29Speaker 2: technology for some reason. Steve Z on just keeps busting
- 57:32Speaker 2: out all this stuff. He's on the light pole, has
- 57:38Speaker 2: no idea what he's doing out there. Yeah, and then
- 57:41Speaker 2: later with the nipple electrodes and I don't know, it's
- 57:44Speaker 2: just funny. He's got a stuff.
- 57:48Speaker 3: Love that. I'm going to go the other end and
- 57:53Speaker 3: say when she breaks out, because that cracks me up.
- 57:57Speaker 2: The coach goes down there, she kicks the coach.
- 58:00Speaker 3: Which is so fun Steeve's on like screams and he's
- 58:04Speaker 3: like oh, and then she kicks him in the nuts.
- 58:08Speaker 3: And then Jack Black with the little like doily over
- 58:11Speaker 3: his head.
- 58:12Speaker 4: Or whatever, noll a coat he's trying to be a coat,
- 58:15Speaker 4: the coat and he just hides by the door.
- 58:17Speaker 2: It's brilliant.
- 58:19Speaker 3: So funny, dude.
- 58:20Speaker 2: Well, she acts like she's leaving and then comes back
- 58:23Speaker 2: out and scares him to death. That is so funny, dude.
- 58:26Speaker 2: It's funny too because they do that joke like three
- 58:29Speaker 2: times in the movie, and it's funny. They do it
- 58:31Speaker 2: whenever kid, yep. And then they do it with uh.
- 58:37Speaker 3: Uh in the shower right, oh yeah, that's right, yeah yeah,
- 58:42Speaker 3: and then they.
- 58:43Speaker 2: Come back to it again and it's just amazing.
- 58:45Speaker 3: That's so funny though got it made me crack up.
- 58:48Speaker 3: So that scene just it was really great.
- 58:50Speaker 2: I wrote that one down too. I love that again.
- 58:53Speaker 6: This is why I just love Amanda peating this because
- 58:55Speaker 6: you totally believe that you can get the crap on
- 58:58Speaker 6: all these guys.
- 58:59Speaker 3: Absolutely. Yeah, so funny, and.
- 59:02Speaker 2: You're right thisuse that could have that part needed to
- 59:04Speaker 2: be well, like he needed a really good bad guy
- 59:10Speaker 2: that could have gone wrong. I feel like she really
- 59:15Speaker 2: went like full villain and it's amazing. Yeah. But yeah,
- 59:21Speaker 2: the the legs sweep on the TV.
- 59:27Speaker 3: Watching it through the.
- 59:29Speaker 2: Obviously stunned people, but it looks right into the face
- 59:33Speaker 2: of the legs. In one just sweet kung Fu and.
- 59:41Speaker 3: Steve when he just goes runs over, He's got.
- 59:45Speaker 2: Two incredible screams. We love when he's when he goes
- 59:49Speaker 2: in his quarterback. Yeah, that's another incredible stunt when he
- 59:57Speaker 2: gets wrecked by the dudes. Roy. He really does. Were
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: there any scenes he has other scenes you guys want
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: to chat about? Uh.
- 1:00:09Speaker 6: This kind of goes into quotes too, but I feel
- 1:00:10Speaker 6: like we did the comman man scene.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on,
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: come on. I'd be interested to see this has to
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: be really close with because it's pretty early in family
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: Guy when he does mom, Mom, Mom, I'd be wondering
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: who hit that one first? Really well done, that's a
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: that's a good example. BIGS definitely breaks right at the
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: end because they were like, this is too funny.
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: That's pretty great.
- 1:00:39Speaker 6: H I love the graph scene is ridiculous and they
- 1:00:42Speaker 6: pull out the full graph.
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: It's also got a great line.
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: You're like, what's w o okay?
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: And then.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: Oh there. I Their music scenes are really good because
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: it's actually now knowing that obviously I didn't. We didn't
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: know at the time, but you know, Steveson in that
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: thing you do is playing really well, Like clearly they're
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: really performing and it.
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: Sounds there goody two three four.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: It's been in my head for like three days. But
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: I love that they actually do that and it's really
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: good and it's fun.
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: And when they get the replacement guy in there, it's
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: so funny little race guy or whatever it is, it's
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: so funny. Lay right there. The older lady her.
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: Office scene with them, She's like, I turn two hundred
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: dollars an hour. Do you do you have any money?
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: They have seven dollars change, leading into the arm wrestle
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: and then into the lamp move. The lamp killed me. Also,
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: that's another Steve Zon moment, him offering the house the
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: pictures and he's like, that's mean, my dad's dropping me
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: and he gets only most Yeah, he starts with it
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: upside down first too.
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: Yeah, we said it earlier about zom versus. The raccoon
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: is just so physical humor.
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: It's where's your mama? She is in one deep coon coma.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: I mean I can't every single scene. There's a scene
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: I couldn't bring up. I swear it's so good. I'm
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: super happy.
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: I didn't want to just break in or the other
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: meeting the friends as the dingus, either one of those
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: is so good.
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: Yeah, meeting the friends just there's I do love that
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: one the most. From that scene, probably funny.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: That's probably it. That's probably the most memorable. See it's
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: so fun Let's do it. The dingis has been chosen. Uh,
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: here we go. Buckle up, let's do our best quotes,
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: and let's show me the money.
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: Show me the money, show me. Anybody needs a snack,
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: now's the time you've got some some time. Go for it.
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: Hit us, guys, get us let's quote.
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: Two things you boys need to know. One, stay away
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: from women. All they want from you is your man juice. Now,
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: if you get in yourges, you can't suppress with hard liquor.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: Use this for all you podcast listeners. He's referencing his
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: hand and reasons we won't speak of.
- 1:03:51Speaker 6: And another great Steve's on. If you look at it,
- 1:03:53Speaker 6: Steve's On's face, he's just mortified. Yeah, and then you
- 1:03:56Speaker 6: hear Steve's on off camera, go what's number two? Sportsmanship? Sportsmanship?
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: So good, so good.
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: I love it.
- 1:04:07Speaker 6: We haven't really talked about the pickup scene in the bar. Yes,
- 1:04:12Speaker 6: I just love what Steve's goes and like she's just
- 1:04:14Speaker 6: like I don't want to beat him, and he's.
- 1:04:16Speaker 5: Like, hey, great, it goes back, dude, tell you what's
- 1:04:19Speaker 5: to be?
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: She thinks she's really cute, really cute. So he's really cute.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: I think you'd make a great husband. I don't want
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: to meet him. Great, just sets his friend up for failure.
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: How many times have I said hold on a mime? Also,
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: me and Taylor always anytime we held beers edvard we
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: got I mean, not like they're getting married or anything. Right,
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: clink clink, Oh man, that's so romantic. Look at that
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: nice guice, succulent peach. I mean, what's her mind sound
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: like when I'm having sex anyway? I mean it's probably
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: like old I'm a mom, Hold on my so speed
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: they do when they're off duty is I mean, we
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: already said it. Beer bong for the lady. Thanks, totally cool,
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: no pure pressure. Also, we just always go and then
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: he's like, what do you want? She's like Scotch on
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: the rocks. He's like, cool, cool, you want ice with that?
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: Come and help you. Uh.
- 1:05:43Speaker 6: I have to kind of go hand in hand with
- 1:05:46Speaker 6: with r Lee where it's uh that red blue he
- 1:05:50Speaker 6: got what he deserves, but that just goes Uh. I
- 1:05:54Speaker 6: think you're ever gonna got I know, the victim's whiny
- 1:05:58Speaker 6: family is protesting.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: What is their damn problem? So oh god, I don't know.
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: Again I can say, yeah, keep going, uh uh yeah,
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: please sit here, sit here? Oh well, eh, well, you
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: know he's America's the greatest songwriter and he's our hero.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: So also great life. Lesson, dude. If you get the
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: nachos stuck together, that's one nacho.
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: Any time I've had nachos in the last remember that
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: every time I've ever ever had nachos, I probably have
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: absolutely half.
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: Please sit here, give her the old sweep roo mean,
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: I mean Edith, Edith, me and Ethel been through a
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: lot of games together. Yeah, and then it's the lug
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: nut fixed it? Please have a seat. I'm not it's unbelievable.
- 1:06:57Speaker 5: Well, is this the the origin of the I guess
- 1:07:01Speaker 5: our invitations must have been lost.
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: In the mail?
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I have said that forever.
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: So let's give these boys.
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: So what do you.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: You guys got to jump in? Oh yeah, well one
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: that we always do.
- 1:07:19Speaker 4: And you, I think, Benny you replied when I first
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: was like, you guys got to do this movie you
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: sent the I.
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: Want to party with you. I've definitely said that ten
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: thousand times at that one all the time. Also, that's
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: such a great Jack Black moment where he's like really sincerely,
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: like I want to party with you, and then it
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: gets serious and he gets like the scary face, which
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: is so great because then later the restraining order joke
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: comes in or whatever. Yeah right, yeah, and the naked
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: pictures we never sent any I'm sorry.
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: I love when uh Judith is talking to JD. Have
- 1:08:13Speaker 4: you ever had a girlfriend yes.
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: No. Have you ever fantasized about having sex with a man?
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: Which man? Any man? You mean like a tall man? Sure, whatever,
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: because I don't like tall people. They bother me. What
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: about a short man?
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: How short?
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: Sometimes people are gonna be too short? That's weird.
- 1:08:32Speaker 4: Have you ever fantasized about having sex with any man?
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: Any man at all?
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: Does that include celebrities? So good? Also, like when they're
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: holding the gun, that whole situation. I've killed someone before,
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: Kevin whatever, No, he didn't. He died in a car wreck.
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: She doesn't know that. Yeah, I killed a squirrel once
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: over a scroll, once with my car. He didn't die them,
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: but I'm pretty sure he died late. He was limping
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: and stuff. He didn't die them, but I'm pretty sure
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: he died later on. Also my other my I'm love
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: when they're when they see Sandy for the first time,
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: and he does that, you can die, I want to
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: tell you. And then Jack Black's like, remember me, I'm
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: the one at prom I painted the tucks on my
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: naked body. Yeah, and I remember I spilled punch and
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: in the paint ran and everyone could see my dong.
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: And then she doesn't really he goes and I'm sure
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: Steve Zon's about to break. It's like the tic tac sir.
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: He goes, remember me, I in science class. I was
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: trying to light my farts with a Bunsen burner and
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: I singed my ball sack and he goes, I still
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: can't grow hair on my left nut. And then they
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: cut to Steve's on. He goes sucks and Steve's on
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: bites his list so hard.
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: That's so funny.
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: If you can dream it, you can do it. Kill
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: her when he killed her. You can't just kill a person.
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: What I always teach you boys you can was that
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: it just kill her? Killer killer?
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: That correct?
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: Why didn't you answer the door? I'm eating? So I
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: don't answer what I'm eating?
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: Since what?
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: Since always? I never knew that? Well, you didn't know
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: a lot of things. You didn't know I was gay?
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: Is there anything else you want to tell me? I
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: got three balls? Shut up, godd you've been pitching loaves
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: on the lawn. I play croquette out.
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: There, croquet out there is a crazy line so much.
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: That's the one that really kills me. Is is that
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: sequence also where he's like, uh, why don't you just
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: tell them? We have ghosts. So boy, this is what's happened. Coach.
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: Here's the thing. We have ghosts. And he's like, do
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: you ever take that bitch? It was a Sumnerman. Yeah,
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: we we ate her. That is the perfect crime, perfect
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: we ate her.
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: I love that. I'd probably say a couple before they disappear.
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: I thought was really funny when they said you replacement.
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: Friend, fake Wayne.
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: That's pretty good. Uh oh, where's the one?
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: Oh skk Eunich steeler of best friend.
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: Of my friend, my friend. That's right, just cracked me
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: up so much. I love that. And then this one.
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: It's maybe not cool, but it's so funny. She saw
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: the telltale signs like what like my obsession with Bett Midler,
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: my preference for track lighting. Oh, and the fact that
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: I like sucking.
- 1:12:02Speaker 4: Which was great because he tells them about the yoga
- 1:12:05Speaker 4: and yeah, you see him naked trying.
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: It's so mad. When he gets the phone call and
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: he has.
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: To go, he's like, come on, it is so funny.
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: It's so good.
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: It's pretty impressive too. Yeah, it was pretty sure. I'm
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: sitting here with three other gentlemen who cannot do that.
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: New know what, bukes I ain't saying you can't.
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: I was a sit and reach champion. That's all I'll say.
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: Real short legs. Not oh no, I'm all legs. Ever
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: since I've and ever since then, I've been afraid of toilets.
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: What else can I tell you about the second grade?
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: How about when they're they just dig up a grave?
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: He goes, Oh my god, what is it? This dead
- 1:12:59Speaker 3: chick is really stacked ridiculous.
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: Look into both our eyes at the same time and
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: say it. I mean literally the entire movie.
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: The Navy Seal Signals. That was such a funny line.
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: I'm doing the Navy Seal signals. Come on, It's like
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: I only know the Air Force signals.
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: I also even love. Right before that, Steve Zone tries
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: to get his attention. You can't get it. He goes
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: so crazy.
- 1:13:35Speaker 5: Benny might be able to do this one better. But
- 1:13:37Speaker 5: it's the maybe she got kidnapped.
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: You think, no, no, why would that ever happen in
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: a you know world, in a world you know another thing?
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: I just love it.
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: He just like throws that out.
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: Maybe you think, no, no, I don't.
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: Again, that's another thing I say all the time. I'm like,
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: you know, why would that happen enough in a world. Yeah,
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: I'm not kidding. I always think like Anchorman and Lebowski
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: are are like my two and like you know, three
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: meos in every John Candy movie. But boy, this movie, yeah,
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: legit might be my my most quoted movie of all time,
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: which is saying a lot.
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: Can I'd say one more when he's training the subway
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: workers Jack Black and he's just like, no, no meat
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: on the inside, Pratt on the outside.
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: Correctly, So that's not in the regular cut though.
- 1:14:40Speaker 3: That's like.
- 1:14:43Speaker 4: Il like, I did not really remember that when I
- 1:14:46Speaker 4: was rewatching it this time. It's fun It's like this
- 1:14:49Speaker 4: seems new.
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: It's funny too because we were on YouTube the other
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: night trying to find it and I kind of remember
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: this when we had the DVD. Like, man, I you'd
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: think there would be the greatest blooper reel ever from
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: this movie, and there really isn't. That's a bummer, and
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: it sucks because.
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: I also, we really need to bring back gag reels
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: because they're so funny.
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: They're always good. I know, it's true.
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: Although we don't make many comedies I guess a ton anymore,
- 1:15:14Speaker 3: so maybe they are harder to come by now, or
- 1:15:17Speaker 3: they use them for social media or something.
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: Well, I also think that, you know. Again, the Apatow
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: World came in and it was almost like that they
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: used that in the movie.
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: That's true.
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: It became like a part of the movie, a lot
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: of like improv and you can tell they kind of
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: use it. I mean again, so they have a million takes.
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: Yeah for sure, it's okay too, Yeah for sure. So
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: I don't know, but yes, love a good gag reel.
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: So here there's a great one in the closing credits
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: of Mary Kiss cam Christmas film on Hulu. Here there
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: is check it out.
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: That's fun.
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: It is great.
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: It is really good. I like that.
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: Nice. That was a bunch of quotes. Yeah, I haven't
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: seen the movie. That was the screen yep. Well, then
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: let's move to bugs boohoo moments when anyway the crying
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: game zero cries really yeah? Really?
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: Yes?
- 1:16:24Speaker 5: What do you guys think I think when Luigi Panini dies.
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: No the movie, You're right, Yeah, I was gonna say,
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: I'm sweet. They don't try to get you there, No,
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: they don't know.
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: They're not ship. But fun times. Let's do a little
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: movie trivia. Benny, can we get a come on a
- 1:16:51Speaker 3: yeha comedy?
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:16:55Speaker 3: Can we also get one of those from comedy?
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:16:59Speaker 3: Okay, I need one for me as well. It's kind
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: of dirty somehow. According to Steve's on, the Kamana yeha
- 1:17:11Speaker 3: line was from the middle of a Neil Diamond performance.
- 1:17:14Speaker 3: Neil asked about that line and they replied saying there
- 1:17:16Speaker 3: were his actual words. Neil didn't believe this, and they
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: had him listen to that part of the performance and
- 1:17:22Speaker 3: he realized he did say it, So I bet that
- 1:17:24Speaker 3: was a fun thing. He's like, Wow, you guys really
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: did do some research.
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: I guess which is fun.
- 1:17:31Speaker 3: We said the thing about Harlee Ermie already the coach's
- 1:17:36Speaker 3: motto to his students, if you can dream it, you
- 1:17:38Speaker 3: can do it. Is it quote originally from Walt Disney
- 1:17:42Speaker 3: or said by Walt Disney. Well, it did the zooming
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: thing right on game, and I liked it. I liked
- 1:17:47Speaker 3: it a lot. Yes, we all agree, we all agree.
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: In the theatrical trailer, a pair of blue briefs were
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: digitally painted onto Steve's on in one scene because the
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: NPAA said it was too revealing gen scene presumably right,
- 1:18:07Speaker 3: but you don't see anything. I don't know what they're
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: they're dumb.
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: Uh Yeah, just the side of his butt.
- 1:18:15Speaker 3: Yeah, who doesn't like a nice little butt. At the
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: scene when Darren meets up with JD and Wayne for
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: lunch and he tells him he can only stay for
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: a minute because he has to go home and heat
- 1:18:26Speaker 3: up Judas Wax, that scene is actually legitimately sixty seconds,
- 1:18:30Speaker 3: which I think is a silly time to use that feature.
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: But they did, right. That's so funny when they do
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: that in movies. It's funny.
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: Yeah, that one seems like is it worth it? I
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: don't know, but cools, you gotta have little things to
- 1:18:45Speaker 3: keep you going.
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll say this movie is a a tight ninety.
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: It really is. There is no way to love it.
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: And I think the last one I have is originally
- 1:18:59Speaker 3: in development at Warner Brothers, which had a financing deal originally,
- 1:19:04Speaker 3: but it was placed in turn around in early two
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: thousand and then Sony later picked it up, so it
- 1:19:09Speaker 3: was kind of in limbo for a minute there, which
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: I think is always kind of interesting.
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: That is interesting, Yeah, very well though I think the
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: budget was like twenty two which I'm like, twenty two
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: million seems high, but that does seem kind of I mean,
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: for this movie, they do a lot of crazy stuff,
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: though I'm sure Jason Biggs got paid pretty well at
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: that time, probably probably Plus I would I did want
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: to just bring up all the They do a lot
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: of crazy like stunt stuff in this movie. Yeah, and
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: like special like the butt implants, like for a quick insert,
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: that's kind of a big setup.
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: So I feel like they downplay how big of a
- 1:19:55Speaker 3: deal that is to make someone kid.
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I thought his ass look tighter, which is great
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: because that's before we know the gay thing. Yeah, yeah, totally.
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: It's a fun little totally but like the fire on
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: the bar and all the sparks coming out of his chest,
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: even when he she flips him into the water on
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: accident and she's like giving him CPR. He turns and
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: they have water like shoot out in his mouth. Like
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: that's all the fight sequences are crazy. They totally pull
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: the Marvin Harry home alone of them falling on the
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: ground right next to each other, Yes, upside down and
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: frame that is a direct home alone.
- 1:20:38Speaker 3: It's a good call.
- 1:20:39Speaker 6: They throw his car over the ledge. I wonder if
- 1:20:44Speaker 6: that might have been a miniature, but I don't know.
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: What about stunt guys off the side of the porch
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: onto her car, and then another one onto her car
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: and that.
- 1:20:58Speaker 6: Paper and then the first escape attack when Jack Blax
- 1:21:04Speaker 6: jumps onto the truck and she like tases him, like
- 1:21:07Speaker 6: gets flown back into the street.
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: That's a crazy stunt. Yeah, that's wild. Like they do
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: a lot of crazy stuff that just from like a
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: movie making standpoint. I'm like, I love that they put
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: that much effort into it. But yeah, and that raccoon
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: attack that seemed like a real raccoon. It looked like
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: it had that right like haft.
- 1:21:29Speaker 3: To honestly usually really did a good job of that.
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: Yeah, it is impressive. Yeah, his his his work with
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: whatever that the stuffed thing was.
- 1:21:42Speaker 4: Yeah, there were a lot of people that were considered
- 1:21:46Speaker 4: for roles and those who knows if they like auditions,
- 1:21:50Speaker 4: I feel like the right.
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: But that was some of the stuff they for Sandy.
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:21:57Speaker 2: They considered Drew Barrymore, Cameron d As, Julie Bowen, and
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: Alicia Silverstone. It's a really big enough part for them, though,
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: I feel like no interesting.
- 1:22:07Speaker 4: For Judith, Jennifer Garner and Amy Joe Johnson were considered,
- 1:22:13Speaker 4: which I can't. I really can't see Jennifer Garner doing that.
- 1:22:17Speaker 3: She was just so sweet.
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: Yeah, Amy Joe Johnson from like Power Rangers, I don't
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: even know she was. I think she's the Pink Ranger. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: Well she could have done the fight stuff. Interesting, she
- 1:22:29Speaker 2: could have been her stunt double. I guess, yeah, she
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: probably had a stunt doubles. Let's be honest.
- 1:22:34Speaker 4: Ben Stiller was considered for the role of Wayne, and
- 1:22:39Speaker 4: it looks like Dennis Dugan's first choice for the role
- 1:22:41Speaker 4: of Darren Silverman was Adam Sandler because of their experience
- 1:22:44Speaker 4: working together and Happy Gilmour, but Sandler rejected the offer
- 1:22:48Speaker 4: due to other commitments.
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: Interesting, I think it would have taked. He just would
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: have taken over the movie. Yeah, because then it's an
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: Adam Sandler movie. And yeah, and then the other Yeah.
- 1:23:01Speaker 4: One other bit of trivia that I saw, just because
- 1:23:05Speaker 4: Jack Black and steve's On are in Andakana together, I
- 1:23:08Speaker 4: saw them reminiscing about this movie. And apparently the bit
- 1:23:14Speaker 4: that Jack Black does was not in the script, and
- 1:23:19Speaker 4: Jack Black was doing it as a joke in between takes,
- 1:23:21Speaker 4: and steve's On told him that he should put it
- 1:23:24Speaker 4: in the.
- 1:23:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, this is one of those movies. I
- 1:23:28Speaker 2: would love to see their shooting script for this. Yeah,
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: you know, I haven't anytime we do movies like this,
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: it's like I would love to know what they came
- 1:23:39Speaker 2: up with and what was actually in the script. He
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: was in there. But yeah, but Jack, especially man, he
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: seems like someone who makes up tons of stuff on.
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: For sure, absolutely love it.
- 1:23:56Speaker 2: Will there be a sequel Judgment day hopefully. Man, I
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: wanted there to be. I just want I always. We've
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: talked about it forever. I wanted Steve Zon and Jack
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: Black to do another movie together forever. They're such a
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: fun duo.
- 1:24:11Speaker 3: Has gone gray yet because if he's gone gray, you
- 1:24:14Speaker 3: could just keep the same name saving Silverman. But it's
- 1:24:17Speaker 3: after his wife dies or something.
- 1:24:22Speaker 4: I mean, come on, yeah, and I mean they're all
- 1:24:27Speaker 4: still working. Would love to see one. It really didn't
- 1:24:32Speaker 4: make much money back then.
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: It probably like probably, but I mean, these guys are
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: all such huge names now that well maybe they would. Bigs.
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: I don't know bigs is, but it was big.
- 1:24:45Speaker 3: Has he done stuff lately?
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: He does stuff? But I feel like the last like
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: big thing he was in was like Orange is the
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: New Black. I feel like if Jack Black wanted to
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: do a sequel, it would get made. So I'm still
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: doing good stuff. Oh, he's in a ton of stuff.
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: I think he's doing a lot of TV. Right, it's great,
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: like they got that prestige TV man. He's Season one
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: White Lotus. What load with my girl Sydney? Yeah? He
- 1:25:13Speaker 2: do you guys watch that? Oh I'm gonna play Silo?
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: You guys watch Silo?
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: I do.
- 1:25:18Speaker 3: I haven't watched Oh yeah yeah, yeah dude, I forgot
- 1:25:22Speaker 3: about that.
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: He's great in that. Yeah, season two he comes in. Yeah.
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: Cool love Rebecca Ferguson. Oh she's great out there. Yeah,
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: but yeah, I do think I think I look, it
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: was like a twenty two million budget and like I
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: don't even I think they got twenty thirty or something. Yeah,
- 1:25:41Speaker 2: it was not good, which you're better in like the
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: sales and stuff. Sure, yeah, but I would love to
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: see sequel. It would be fun see those guys again.
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: You come up with something just straight to streaming, like yeah,
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: for sure, just gave.
- 1:25:58Speaker 3: You the whole premise, right, all right?
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: Yeah you had it, boom, get on it, start writing.
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: Do you guys want to play game? Oh? Sure, is
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: Benny gonna win? Benny's probably gonna win it to starting five? Yes,
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: it is a starting five fugues. One of these days
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: you and I are gonna win. This might be the time,
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: this is it, This might be it.
- 1:26:21Speaker 4: So again, I'm gonna name five actors. You guys are
- 1:26:25Speaker 4: going to ring in with your name. When you know
- 1:26:27Speaker 4: what movie I'm talking about. You can get a point
- 1:26:31Speaker 4: for that, and then you can get a point for
- 1:26:33Speaker 4: any actors names that are remaining. And all of these
- 1:26:38Speaker 4: films have something in common. If you know what that is,
- 1:26:43Speaker 4: you can ring in at anytime with the theme no
- 1:26:47Speaker 4: negative points for wrong wrong answers?
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: Are we good to go? Get there?
- 1:26:52Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:26:53Speaker 2: Number one?
- 1:26:54Speaker 4: The first name is m Beth David's. The second name

- 1:27:34Speaker 4: Guys from two points for bugs starting strong, Bro Benny Benny.
- 1:27:41Speaker 2: Are these titles with the lead character's name in them?
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: It's more specific than that, s names. It is not
- 1:27:51Speaker 2: s names. Okay, but it's very very close. Maybe you'll
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: get it on this next one. Number two. The first
- 1:28:02Speaker 2: name is John Taturo Adam.
- 1:28:08Speaker 4: Yes, the big Lebowski is correct, and you have four

- 1:28:15Speaker 2: Steve correct, John Goodman correct, uh, Jeff Bridges correct. One
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: name remaining. There's so many people, it's who I would
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: have picked. Julianne Moore, that is incorrect, Benny, Philip Symer,
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: Hoffman board now Benny. Last names, it's just the last
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: name in the title.
- 1:28:44Speaker 4: Yes, but Gade got big Lebowski, Steve Bushimi, John Goodman,
- 1:28:50Speaker 4: Jeff Bridges. That's four points and Benny got one and
- 1:28:53Speaker 4: then another one for the theme.
- 1:28:56Speaker 3: That was a big one. Nice work. So there you go.
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: Do let's go, Yeah, let's do it. Number three. The
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: first name.

- 1:29:26Speaker 2: Sally Feared, Sally Field, Robin Williams, Pierce Brosman. Four points
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: for Benny.
- 1:29:32Speaker 3: Okay, that was fun, well lasted.
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: Yeah, you guys really said mom, David, I do I
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: do love him? Yeah, it's so good.
- 1:29:52Speaker 3: You look just like mom.
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: Even strength number four the first first name Giovanni. Benny
- 1:30:06Speaker 2: worked with him. Oh yes, Benny, Saving Private Ryan. Wow.

- 1:30:39Speaker 2: Vin Diesel I did not pick, so you get one more? Yes?
- 1:30:44Speaker 2: Uh uh.
- 1:30:50Speaker 3: Oh god?
- 1:30:52Speaker 2: Uh Ted Dancing. I did not pick Ted Dance, and
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: you got Tom. Tom said it's more for sure, and
- 1:31:01Speaker 2: there's one more remaining. I just know you're a huge
- 1:31:08Speaker 2: Ed Burns fan.
- 1:31:10Speaker 3: I didn't pick Ed.
- 1:31:12Speaker 2: Is it the typewriter, dude? No, it's you know it is.
- 1:31:16Speaker 2: Come on, I don't think I do. Is it an
- 1:31:20Speaker 2: Oscar nominee Rob? I don't know if he's ever been
- 1:31:24Speaker 2: nominated for an Oscar rhymes with the fairy. It does
- 1:31:30Speaker 2: fairy and not salt.
- 1:31:33Speaker 3: Pepper, but Barry pepper.
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: Pepper. Thank you for the pepper. Was great. That's as

- 1:31:59Speaker 1: No?
- 1:32:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I was thinking. I was thinking, uh, oh my god, Sideway, Yeah, Paul.
- 1:32:09Speaker 4: Jamadi, Yeah, and you could also do uh, Nathan Fillion,
- 1:32:14Speaker 4: he's got that.

- 1:32:30Speaker 3: And why hasn't he won like two oscars? Like I
- 1:32:33Speaker 3: understand it is weird?
- 1:32:34Speaker 2: Yeah, after like save Brivy Ryan in twenty fifth Hour
- 1:32:37Speaker 2: and all that, even the movie sixty sixty one one.
- 1:32:41Speaker 2: I was just gonna say, good, he was awesome. That's
- 1:32:45Speaker 2: his name, Roger Merris. Roger Merris got yeah, so good.
- 1:32:50Speaker 2: All right, let's go to number five, you guys. The
- 1:32:51Speaker 2: first name Kate Blenchett. Never heard of her.
- 1:32:59Speaker 4: The second name the aforementioned Philip Seymour Hoffman.

- 1:33:33Speaker 2: And then there's one name anybody else going to get
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: in on this.
- 1:33:39Speaker 4: I don't think I know, I forgot, he said, I said,
- 1:33:44Speaker 4: Katelyn Chett, Phillips, Temore Hoffman, Jude Law and May.
- 1:33:47Speaker 3: Jude Law is like the dude that he's in love with, right,
- 1:33:51Speaker 3: Oh yeah.
- 1:33:52Speaker 2: Benny is it? I was like, oh yeah. I was like,
- 1:33:58Speaker 2: she's not the main the sister or whatever, yeah or

- 1:34:22Speaker 3: in it.
- 1:34:24Speaker 2: Close, competitive close. Let's go to number six. We'll see
