- 0:00Speaker 1: And it's time for us to go to God in prayer.
- 0:03Speaker 1: And this morning I've been kind of contemplating and thinking
- 0:06Speaker 1: about just being obedient to God and walking in His
- 0:10Speaker 1: obedience for our lives. So that's what I want to
- 0:13Speaker 1: pray about today, Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ,
- 0:16Speaker 1: we come before you God with humbled hearts, longing to
- 0:20Speaker 1: walk in step with your will for our lives. You
- 0:25Speaker 1: are holy, God, and you call us to be holy people.
- 0:29Speaker 1: You are righteous, you are faithful in all your ways.
- 0:33Speaker 1: You've called us not only to believe God, but to
- 0:36Speaker 1: obey You, to live out our faith with hands and
- 0:41Speaker 1: feet that follow where you lead. You said in your
- 0:44Speaker 1: words that the steps of the righteous are ordered by
- 0:47Speaker 1: the Lord. But God, we got to do the stepping.
- 0:50Speaker 1: We confess God that at times we've not followed you.
- 0:54Speaker 1: We have strayed away, the moments when our comfort mattered
- 0:58Speaker 1: more than your commands Jesus, when we chose convenience over conviction,
- 1:03Speaker 1: when we listen to fear instead of our faith. God,
- 1:06Speaker 1: forgive us, Lord, wash us clean in the blood of Jesus,
- 1:11Speaker 1: restore in us a willing spirit, at a heart of
- 1:15Speaker 1: flesh that beats for your truth. You said in your word,
- 1:19Speaker 1: if you love me, keep my commandments. So teach us
- 1:22Speaker 1: Lord what it means to love you in our choices
- 1:26Speaker 1: every day. Teach us God, what it means to love
- 1:29Speaker 1: you in our relationships, in our thoughts, and in our
- 1:32Speaker 1: daily routines. God, let your word not be distant or forgotten,
- 1:37Speaker 1: but ridden on our hearts, etched and to our soul,
- 1:41Speaker 1: and ever on our lips. God, give us ears to
- 1:44Speaker 1: hear your voice above the noise of the world. Give
- 1:47Speaker 1: us eyes to see the path that You've laid before us,
- 1:50Speaker 1: even when it's narrow, even when it's steeped. Give us
- 1:54Speaker 1: courage to follow. God, Let our obedience not be out
- 1:58Speaker 1: of duty alone, but born from the light in who
- 2:01Speaker 1: you are. When we're tempted to take shortcuse, remind us
- 2:05Speaker 1: of your truth. When the road is hard, remind us
- 2:08Speaker 1: of your promises. When we're weary, God, strengthen us with
- 2:12Speaker 1: the joy of your presence. Make us steady, Lord, firm
- 2:15Speaker 1: and faith unwavering and devotion. Holy Spirit, be our counselor
- 2:20Speaker 1: be our God. Help us to desern right from wrong,
- 2:23Speaker 1: truth from deception, Your will from our own will. Let
- 2:28Speaker 1: us not chase applause or the approval of man. But God,
- 2:32Speaker 1: let us seek only to please the heart of our
- 2:35Speaker 1: heavenly fither Jesus, you walk in perfect obedience, even until death.
- 2:41Speaker 1: On the cross, you showed us what love looks like, surrender, sacrifice,
- 2:47Speaker 1: and trust. Who got our desires to be more and
- 2:50Speaker 1: more like you? Shape us. God, who into images more
- 2:55Speaker 1: and more like you, daily shape our will until it
- 2:58Speaker 1: bows to Your will. Teach us God the joy that
- 3:01Speaker 1: comes not from doing our own thing, but from walking
- 3:04Speaker 1: closely with our safe Him. Father. We want to be
- 3:07Speaker 1: found faithful, not famous, not flawless, just faithful to love you,
- 3:12Speaker 1: to trust you, to obey you. God, Let our lives
- 3:16Speaker 1: be a testimony of your grace and your glory for
- 3:19Speaker 1: those that are around us, for our family, on our job,
- 3:22Speaker 1: in our church, in the world. God, let every step
- 3:26Speaker 1: we take bring us closer to Your heart. God. We
- 3:29Speaker 1: pray all of this in the name of Jesus Christ,
- 3:32Speaker 1: our Lord, our Savior, our King, and our example. Amen. Amen, Amen,
